They do.
Starting point is 00:01:56 They're terrible, especially when you have a pimple and you're about to go on a date. Oh, the worst. Although, for some people, they might be fun. Really? And they might be nice on a date. Why? I don't know. I used to work in the service industry as a waiter.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Uh-huh. And I had this couple one time on a date. I don't know how long they'd been dating, but it was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life. What? They were popping each other's pimples. What? At dinner? Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Oh, hell no. You should have kicked them out. I wanted to. It was so disgusting. That is something you do at home. Yeah. If you do it anywhere in public, you're a psycho. Yeah, that's nasty. People don't want to see that.
Starting point is 00:02:27 I let them keep the pen. Thanks for signing the bill. I bet. So you know, most of the time a pimple can ruin a first date. Otherwise, it can be a bonding experience for some people. Well, Misty is on the phone right now for a first date follow-up and she thinks a pimple might have ruined her chance at love. Really? Yep.
Starting point is 00:02:43 What's up, Misty? Hello. Before we get into the whole pimple extravaganza that you emailed us about, first, tell us the guy's name that you want to call today. Okay, so I want to follow up with this guy, Brian. Okay. How did you guys meet? Okay, so we met on a dating app, actually,
Starting point is 00:03:07 but we had really good conversations pretty much right off the jump. Like, I felt like we connected really well. Oh, really? He was just, like, really funny and personable. Like, sometimes on those apps, like, you kind of just get, like, what's up? Hey, when do you want to meet? What app was it? Was it Tinder or another one? Yeah, it was Tinder.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Yeah, usually on that, you probably get get like, hey, you're hot. Yeah. Hook up. Yeah. Yes. Or like nothing. Sometimes people like don't even respond. And it's like, okay, I guess this didn't go anywhere.
Starting point is 00:03:34 How was the date with him? I mean, I thought it went okay. I was a little bit worried because like the day of the date, I just, I had like this huge zit and it was like right on my nose so it was like impossible to deal with like I just did everything like I was like exfoliating and trying to like use those like stupid little tools that you can get at the drugstore to like help those people popping tools are so cool unless it's ready to pop I wouldn't mess with it though yeah I can make it worse yeah ready to pop, I wouldn't mess with it, though. Yeah, that's true. It's going to make it worse. Yeah, I mean, I think I was messing around with it too much,
Starting point is 00:04:10 and it just got so rad. Yeah. So you think the pimple ruined your date? Kind of, because it started off okay, and then I felt like when we were sitting down was when he just started getting, like, quiet, and I felt like he was, like, really, like, keyed in and, like, staring at it. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:04:25 Misty, what did you actually do for a date we just went for dinner so it was like very low key too oh it's quite intimate though so if you have a pimple it's probably going to be hard to not look at it yeah I mean it's a pimple you guys yeah it depends on like you know sometimes they're really big yeah and if she was digging at it or like someone has mole. I mean, like how big was the pimple? I mean, I feel like it like took up my whole nose. It was like a normal pimple, but it was just right on my nose. Okay. So how did your date end then?
Starting point is 00:04:57 With like kind of an awkward side hug. Side hug. Usually a sign of a successful hot date. And you really liked him? I mean, we've talked a lot about your pimple. We haven't talked a lot about the guy. Yeah, I mean, I just think it's so strange because we had connected so well. And then I just feel like his zit ruined everything.
Starting point is 00:05:20 It seemed like something just turned him off. And I feel like it was that. Okay, there's nothing else you think that it could be because I mean I think it's just a pimple like it's not that big of a deal there's nothing else you think that could have gone wrong no because we didn't have talked about anything super like personal on the date either like we avoided all the like standard avoid this on the first date topic. No politics, no religion, none of that kind of stuff. No, no exes, no family stuff. No, like, I'm okay with
Starting point is 00:05:50 murder in certain instances. You know, that kind of things that could turn somebody off. None of that type of conversation. Right. Yeah, I mean, I don't know. I just, I really feel like something happened or something and like, he was just kind of over it, but I would really like a second chance.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Okay, well, we'll play a song, come back, call him, and see if it was your pimple that ruined your chances at love. Okay, all right, thank you. Hey, Misty? Yeah? I want to ask you a question in a second. Right in the middle of a first date follow-up, and Misty's on the phone. She went out with a dude named Brian.
Starting point is 00:06:26 They met on Tinder. She thought everything was going great. She said he was really funny, liked him a lot. But on the date, once she showed up and sat down, he got kind of awkward and seemed over it. She thinks it's because she had a huge pimple on her nose. Yeah, a volcano of a pimple. And it was awkward. And I think I have some advice for anybody who goes on a date with someone who has a huge pimple on her nose. Yeah. A volcano of a pimple. And it was awkward. And I think I have some advice for anybody who goes on a date with someone who has a huge pimple on their nose,
Starting point is 00:06:48 because that gets in your head, right? Yeah. You know? Yeah, definitely. Yeah. So a lot of times in awkward situations, if you call it out, the awkwardness goes away, right? Yeah. Like if you're like, man, this is awkward now. And then everybody's like, whew, okay. So the next time you're on a date with someone with a really big pimple and you think they might be insecure or awkward about it, just tell them, just go, shh. And then reach across the table and just touch it. Gross. Would that make you feel better, Misty? Gross.
Starting point is 00:07:15 No, it would have freaked me out. Okay. Well, bad advice from me. Anyway, that is the reason that Misty thinks she's not getting a call back from this dude named Brian. She liked him a lot, and we're going to see if that is the reason. We're going to dial his phone number right now and see if we can figure it out. Here we go. Hello?
Starting point is 00:07:38 How may I speak to Brian, please? This is Brian. Who is this? Brian, what's up, man? How are you? This is the Jubal show. Oh, the radio show? Yes. Um, do you listen to the show? I've, like, listened to you guys here and there. Uh, not, not all the time, no. That's how we like it. We like people listen to us here and there, but not everywhere.
Starting point is 00:08:01 You know, so, on the phone right now, just so you know, is me, Jubal, my hottest wife, Alex Freyash, and English Evan. What, what? Whoa. Okay, hello. And we're calling you today because we do a segment on the show
Starting point is 00:08:15 where if you go out on a date with someone and then end up ghosting them, that person can email us to get you on the phone and find out what happened. And we recently got an email about you from someone you went on a date with, a hot, steamy, sexy date. Um, all right. Been on any hot, steamy, sexy dates that are top of mind?
Starting point is 00:08:38 Um, not necessarily. Been on any cold, not-so-steamy dates? One might say a misty date. Oh. Oh. Oh, I think I might be picking up on where this is going. Very misty evening. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:59 I did go on a date with a misty. Yes, you did. Recently, yeah. And now you're not calling a misty back a misty and yeah she wants to know why yeah that date didn't go so well what happened so all right so i guess i'll just tell you guys so misty and i actually went to high school together um she didn't tell us that. No. Yeah, she did not.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Yeah, I don't think she remembered. Oh. Is that awkward to see someone that you knew from high school on Tinder? I'm sure I guess a lot of people probably do. You know what? Not really because we didn't know each other so well, but I kind of liked that there was some sort of connection there. When we went out together, I realized after a few minutes, she had no idea who I was. Really? Okay. But so that's why you're not calling her back. Cause there's a lot of people I don't remember from high school. Yeah. No, no, but we
Starting point is 00:09:54 were in like some of the same classes together. We even did a group project together. And although you know, I just couldn't believe that she forgot all about me. It was super weird. Okay, and did you recognize her right away from high school? Yeah, I recognized her right away, and I was, you know, super excited to go on a date with her. She was always in the super cool crowd, and I've always sort of had a little crush on her. Okay. I mean, it's probably got to be really awkward for her not to remember you,
Starting point is 00:10:24 but that's the only reason why you're not calling her back? Yeah. I just thought it was super rude and kind of disrespectful. Well, she doesn't remember though. Like you didn't want to like mention it or like remind her because like, I feel like that's kind of odd to be that upset about something, especially if you guys, you know, have a connection to not call her back. Yeah. I just feel like it says a lot about her character and how she like doesn't remember people. I don't know. I just was turned off by it. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Okay. Well, you want to get more turned off? Uh, I don't know. Because she's actually on the other line listening and wants to talk to you. Oh, okay. Yeah. Misty, you. Oh, okay. Yeah. Misty, you still there? Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:09 And did you know that you went to high school with Brian? No, I didn't remember at all. Yeah, pretty sure. We definitely did, yeah. Why didn't you just tell me that like right at the top i mean we like our lockers were near each other for a few years like we were in the same classes i just kind of insulted like i felt like because i wasn't part of that cool group that you just completely overlooked me and um i mean i'm really sorry i just i think it's harsh to like judge me for that one.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Also, you didn't like say anything or like I just don't remember. I don't remember that many people that I went to high school with. I only keep in touch with like a couple of people. And like I'm closer, much more with like a lot of my college friends than people I knew from high school. Oh, and now you're just throwing it into my face that you went to college. Like this is just how you always were. What are you talking? I don't understand. What is going on here? I don't even know why I went on a date with you to begin with. I should have known better.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Oh, wow. This is like crazy. I, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I didn't mean to upset you. I thought you seemed really like fun and funny. I don't know. I just didn't remember you. I'm sorry. I don't remember that many people.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Oh, shut up. Oh, wow. All right. Well, I think we've gotten to that point. Hey, Brian, would you like to go out on another date with Misty? We will pay for it. No, I think I'm done. I don't ever want to see her again.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Yeah, obviously. Brian, I think you got to let some stuff go, man. Yeah. I don't know. I am just completely done with her. I'm going back on Tinder and finding someone hotter and even better. Right. Okay. Good luck. Thanks for your and even better. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Good luck. Thanks for your time, Brian. Yeah. Bye. All right. Hey, Misty. Yeah. I'm going to go ahead and go out on a limb.
Starting point is 00:13:15 Let's take a poll, actually, from around the room. Alex, do you think she dodged a bullet? Yeah. English Heaven, do you think she dodged a bullet? I do think you did, but I will say your memory is quite bad I mean yeah I guess so I just truly don't remember but I don't know why
