Starting point is 00:02:52 It's time to catch a cheater. Only on the Jubal Show. Julianne is on the phone today for To Catch a Cheater, She's been with her boyfriend Kevin for two years, but now she thinks he might be messing around, so we'll see if we can help her out. Julianne, sorry you have to come on the show this way, but what's up?
Starting point is 00:03:08 Why do you think Kevin might be cheating on you? I really, I'm not sure how to explain it, but our relationship, honestly, has been really good so far. We have such an open and honest relationship, and I before now have never really thought about Kevin cheating on me. um you know as far as being together for two years you know the bedroom activities they're amazing even two years in good for you i mean a lot of people it kind of fizzles out but i feel like that we are able to be open about our fantasies and such which i think has honestly brought us a lot
Starting point is 00:03:50 closer and you know i really think that we have a lot of trust and honesty in our relationship so i'm not sure like what's going on with him lately but it's just been a little weird okay so what has changed everything sounds good so is the bedroom different now I mean there's a couple things like I've seen you know your guys is to catch a cheater videos on TikTok and I don't know I just see a lot of parallels between our relationship and what you guys are posting so like some of the stuff that people are saying like what he's working late or feeling distant, and you feel like that's starting to check boxes for you?
Starting point is 00:04:33 Yeah, I mean, to start, we haven't been as active in the bedroom. Like, I used to have to push Kevin off of me playfully because he would just be coming after me all the time. I'd be trying to make lunch or something, and I'd be like, come on, dude, I've got to eat real quick. Okay. But lately, he won't touch me. He barely touches me anymore.
Starting point is 00:04:56 And he also did pull the cliche. I'm working late thing, which that's not him. He's very type A about his schedule, and he comes home the same time every single night, and when he doesn't, I have to listen to him complain a lot about how he got out late. That's just how it is, and now he just says, oh, I'm working late, and there's no complaining. Did you ask him about it? I did loosely. I haven't pressed him about it, but I asked him, like, why are you working late so much?
Starting point is 00:05:26 and he just said that they have extra work going on because someone's on leave. Well, could that be true? I don't know, but I don't think so. Okay. Is there anything else? Yeah. The final straw was that, you know, I may have peeped at his phone the other day. You may have, right?
Starting point is 00:05:45 And yeah, and I saw some weird, flirty messages with some girl from his work named Allison. and, like, they weren't totally sexual, but there was definitely something going on. What did they say? They were just talking about, you know, different experiences they had in relationships and what they like about each other and how, like, she was basically complaining about
Starting point is 00:06:13 how her ex would never clean up after himself, and she noticed that Kevin's really good at work about cleaning after himself. And I feel like that's a weird conversation that has with some guys. Yeah, that's a job. Like, I feel like that's how. kind of flirty. Oh, 100%. Yeah, you could have started there and I would have been sold.
Starting point is 00:06:28 He said a complaining about your man. Yeah. Yeah, it was weird. Yeah, it's not okay. That is. I really don't understand. Like, I really don't. Kevin and I have such a great relationship. I don't understand why he would do this. I try to give him everything that he asks for. I do anything that he wants. And, you know, I feel so safe with him. He protects me. he takes care of me and you know I just don't understand why he would do this to me
Starting point is 00:07:02 well we'll see if we can figure it out for you you already told us what grocery store he's a rewards member at so we'll play a song come back and then call him and pretend to be from the grocery store and say that every single month we choose one lucky customer who gets a free flowers delivered from our floral department and we'll see if he sends those flowers to you or to somebody else okay
Starting point is 00:07:17 okay sounds good thank you yeah we'll get sure to catch cheater next and she said Johnny the kids didn't come home last night. Along the central Texas plains, teens are dying, suicides that don't make sense, strange accidents, and brutal murders. In what seems to be, a plot ripped straight out of breaking bad. Drugs, alcohol, trafficking of people. There are people out there that absolutely know what happened. Listen to paper ghosts, the Texas teen murders on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:07:57 I'm Robert Smith, and this is Jacob Goldstein, and we used to host a show called Planet Money. And now we're back making this new podcast called Business History about the best ideas and people and businesses in history. And some of the worst people, horrible ideas, and destructive companies in the history of business. Having a genius idea without a need for it is nothing. It's like not having it at all.
Starting point is 00:08:22 It's a very simple, elegant lesson. make something people want. First episode, how Southwest Airlines use cheap seats and free whiskey to fight its way into the airline business. The most Texas story ever.
Starting point is 00:08:35 There's a lot of mavericks in that story. We're going to have mavericks on the show. We're going to have plenty of robber barons. So many robber barons. And you know what? They're not all bad. And we'll talk about some of the classic great moments of famous business geniuses
Starting point is 00:08:46 along with some of the darker moments that often get overlooked. Like Thomas Edison and the electric chair. Listen to business history on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What do you get when you mix 1950s Hollywood, a Cuban musician with a dream, and one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time? You get Desi Arness, a trailblazer, a businessman, a husband, and maybe most importantly, the first Latino to break primetime wide open. I'm Wilmer Valderrama, and yes, I grew up watching him, probably just like you and millions of others.
Starting point is 00:09:21 But for me, I saw myself in his story. From cleaning canary cages to this night here in New York, it's a long ways. On the podcast starring Desi Arnaz and Wilmer Valderama, I'll take you in a journey to Desi's life. The moments it has overlapped with mine, how he redefined American television, and what that meant for all of us watching from the sidelines, waiting for a face like hours on screen.
Starting point is 00:09:43 This is the story of how one-man's spotlight lit the path for so many others and how we carry his legacy today. Listen to starring Desi Arnaz and Wilmer Valdera As part of the My Cultura podcast network available on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. If you're just joining us for today's To Catch a Cheater, Julianne is on the phone, and she thinks that her boyfriend of two years named Kevin might be cheating. So we're about to call him from the grocery store that he's a rewards card member at and tell him that he's this month's lucky winner of a free gift from us and its flowers delivered from our floral apartment. We'll see if he believes that.
Starting point is 00:10:18 And if he does, if he sends the flowers to his girlfriend, Julianne, or to somebody else. and then we'll know if he's cheating or not. But before we call him, Julianne, why don't you break down your situation again real quick for us? So Kevin and I have been together for two years and we've had a fantastic open and honest relationship and everything's been great until recently. I noticed a lot of his behaviors match the To Catcha Cheater videos
Starting point is 00:10:42 that I see on TikTok. And so we haven't been as active in the bedroom and he's working late all the time. And he also was sending weird. messages to his co-worker. Yeah, that part is really what's standing out. It's a huge flag to me. Are you ready for us to
Starting point is 00:10:59 see if we can catch him if he is cheating? I am. Okay, here we go. Hello? Hi, this is Corbel calling from I was looking for our rewards card member named Kevin B. Yeah, that's me speaking.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Kevin. Hey, how are you? Please don't hang up. This is not a marketing phone call. I'm actually calling to say, congratulations. You're this month's big winner. Thank you so much for shopping with us. Thank you so much for your business. Yeah, congratulations. Yeah, that's great. So what do I win? Well, I don't know if you know this, but every single month, we choose one rewards card member to say thank you very much for being such a loyal customer by giving you a free gift. You've won 36 long stem red roses, a box of candy or chocolate and a card to be delivered to anybody that you want within the 50 United States, absolutely free from our floral apartment. that's impressive that's a lot it's very simple um the first thing i would need would be the first and the last name of the person you want to send them to and then if you want to put anything on a card and then the address and that's it okay sure um yeah the name is going to go to uh alison alison okay yeah and let me just uh say the note uh can you say it's just a small thank you for everything you've done. You're the best thing in my life right now.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Okay, great. I have that all down. And now I'm going to let you know that this is not the grocery store at all. This is actually the Jubel show. It's a radio show. I'm Nina. And I'm Jubel. And we do a segment on the show called to catch a cheater where we see who you send flowers to
Starting point is 00:12:38 if you're significant other things you're cheating. And your girlfriend, Julianne, is actually on the phone. Really? That's what this is? Yeah. Wow, so no one's getting anything here Yes, Kevin What the hell is going on right now
Starting point is 00:12:52 Really? Yes, what the hell is going on With you and Allison Like what is going on Your behavior is completely changed In a lot of ways You're always working late And you're not complaining about it
Starting point is 00:13:08 Let's start there, that's weird And then also You don't even want to touch me Or come to the bedroom very often anymore I have to drag you practically, and I did see the messages between you and Allison on the phone. You checked my phone? Yes, I checked your phone. And for good reason, obviously, because you're obviously being sneaky.
Starting point is 00:13:29 You're obviously going behind my back with Allison, and I caught you. I caught you because I did go through your phone. Uh, yeah. I mean, uh... What? So you are cheating? Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:43 Yeah. Look, I can't... You're really cheating with her? Are you serious, Kevin? Yes, yes. I, look, I can't take this anymore. Yeah, I should have ended this a long time ago, but it's really hard to get out of this relationship.
Starting point is 00:14:00 You, Julian, are a complete psychopath. Oh, my gosh. To be honest, you scare the shit out of me. What makes you say that? I don't even know what you're talking about. We've been so open and honest about what we both want, So I don't understand where this is coming from, Kevin. Like, I have been such a good partner to you.
Starting point is 00:14:20 I've really done everything that you've asked. No, no, no. Are you kidding? What are you kidding? Look, look, because we're on the radio, I'll tell it like it is, all right? You should know. This open and honest thing that she talks about, it's forced, all right? She demands to know every detail about my life.
Starting point is 00:14:39 And I'm not being hyperbolic. Like, she times me in the bathroom. In case I'm talking to girls on the phone, she's gotten into my Instagram, and she's unfollowed every girl I follow, at least twice. And she will literally, like, bite me to leave a mark. So when I go all with my friends, other girls would know that a mark. I mean, this is insane.
Starting point is 00:15:08 And I knew you were going to see those messages eventually, so I was expecting to get caught. First of all, I don't sign you in the bathroom. I would not do that. She totally does. She totally does. I do. And also, we share passwords with each other.
Starting point is 00:15:26 So it's never been a big deal for me to see this stuff. I deleted some girls that were sliding into your DMs, Kevin. And you were cool with it at the time. I was not cool with it. We do not share passwords. This crazy girl, okay, she waits so I'm asleep. uses the facial recognition to get in my phone. And I've caught her twice doing that.
Starting point is 00:15:48 And the girls, she sends rude messages and then calls them names posing as me. Okay, Kevin, while you can be very upset about all these things and you have every right to be because it's not okay, you should have broke up with her and not cheated on her, which would have been the wise, manly thing to do. Yeah, look, you're absolutely right. I should have had more to call it off and do the right thing. but I guess I was just hoping to get caught. Well, you're caught now, so congratulations. Yeah, this is over.
Starting point is 00:16:22 Just let me know when you can come to the apartment to go get your stuff. Oh, my. Okay. That's fine. It's fine. I think we'll be fine. What do you mean? I just saw him look at his work and I'm sure he'll change his mind.
Starting point is 00:16:40 You're at his job? Yeah, I told you. She's psycho. What the fuck are you doing here? I just figured we could talk in person, babe. Oh, Julianne. I think there's just been a misunderstanding because of all the people on the phone. I think we just need to talk one-on-one, Kevin.
Starting point is 00:16:58 I think you'll understand. Hey, Julianne, I think if you want to have a conversation, you should wait till later. I don't think it's a good idea to do that right now. I mean, I'm looking at him now. He looks fine. I'm going to walk over there and try to talk to them. I'll talk to you all later. Thank you for your help.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Julian, I probably don't do that. She just hung up. God, I'm going to the office right now. What? And they're both gone. What? Isn't this kind of a lesson, you know, once those flags start to raise?
Starting point is 00:17:28 Well, that was crazy on all sorts of levels. Oh, my gosh. The Jubal shows to catch a cheater. On an all new episode of I-Hart Radio's Luzz Culture, Jennifer Lawrence is dishing. Jennifer Lawrence is dishing. Jennifer Law. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:17:44 From her hilariously awkward run-ins with A-Lister's. I don't know what I was expecting, but he was just like, nice to meet you.
