Amy is on the phone today for a first date follow-up, and Amy isn't getting a call back from a guy named Chris. What's up, Amy? How are you? I mean, I'd be better if I could find out why he's not calling me back.

True. Okay, well, see if we can help find out why he's not calling me back. True. Okay, well, see if we can help you out with that. Before we ask about your date with Chris and see if we can figure out why he's not calling you back, how long has it been since your date? It's been like a week. I mean, I've texted him a couple times, but I haven't gotten a response since the date. Uh-oh. Well, let's see if we can figure out what happened.

Tell us a little bit about your date. We met on Tinder, and, like, we chatted a little a little bit and like, you know, I thought we hit it off and so we decided to meet up in person. Okay. How was the in-person meetup? What did you guys do? Well, I thought it was really cool. Like we met up and we were having drinks

and when like I came into the restaurant, like I thought he was super cute. So I was like, hey, this is a good one, you know? So he looked like his picture? Yeah, he did. Nice. That's good. He did, so that was like hey this is a good one you know so he looked like his picture yeah he did nice yeah it was like good conversation i thought we were bonding and he was asking questions about me and my life so he seemed interested it wasn't just like you know he sat there like a lump and i had to like carry the entire conversation. And, um, you know,

he's got a job. So like, that is a good thing. A lot of that is a good thing when it comes to someone you want to date. Yeah. They have a job. Yeah. And he was really cute.

So like I, you know, it was worth it to me to like try it again. Okay. Well, why do you think he's not calling you back? Did something happen? The only thing that I can think of is like when he was like asking me questions about myself, um, like I do have kids and like, I don't know if that like freaked him out.

So you didn't know before your date that you had kids? No. Okay. No. Yeah. So like that just came up in the conversation and like i'm really open about it like i love my kids um and but like that's the only thing i can think of that might have been like i actually have been told by someone they didn't want to see me anymore

because i have kids what yeah are you kidding at what point are you supposed to let them know though is it is first date okay or is she are you supposed to let them know before well i mean first date okay? Or are you supposed to let them know before? Well, I mean, either way, it doesn't really matter. But I mean, as long as you're open about it. And then I was with that dude and we actually saw each other several times. And then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, he just didn't want to. And then he came back like a month later and was like, actually, you know, I talked to my dad and he said some of the best people have kids. Okay. Exactly. That's such a weird thing to do. But it has happened. Yeah. I mean, when I was younger, I didn't want to date women with children. Like if I knew they had a kid,

I'd be like, I'm definitely not interested for the long haul. Right. So maybe it is that. Because they if I knew they had a kid, I'd be like, I'm definitely not interested for the long haul. Right. So maybe it is that. Because they think they have to be father now, you know? Long haul goes quick, though. It does. Like, one of my child is almost grown.

That makes me sound really old, but I'm not. I just had her young. Don't judge me. So maybe it was the kid thing, then. I thought he was, like, cool with it and everything, but I did notice that like his mood changed a little bit. And then like he did like leave pretty early after that came up. So that's what I'm thinking. All right.

Other than him finding out that you had kids, nothing else you can think of that would be a reason that he wouldn't want to call you back? No, not at all. Okay. Maybe it was like because I had my hair in a bun. I don't know. Like the mom bun like turned him bun. I don't know. Like the mom bun, like turn him off.

I don't know. Who knows? Maybe. Maybe he just doesn't like buns that much. I think buns are super cute. Me too. Both of them. The head buns. Thank you.

Well, Alex and I are married. If you didn't know that, when she throws her hair up in a bun, like a messy bun, I think it's sexy. Yeah. I don't know. Those are the only things I can think of. Maybe it was the mom bun. Maybe. Not the man bun. it was the mom bun. Maybe.

We do a segment on this show called the First Date Follow-Up. That's where if you go out on a date with somebody and then end up ghosting them, they can email us to get you on the phone and ask why. And you recently went out with a woman named Amy,

and you've been ghosting her, and she doesn't know why, and she wants to know why. Amy, um... Is it because you're sick? Well, I don't date liars. No, I just don't date liars. Oh. You don't date liars? She lied. Yeah.

About what? She just didn't match her profile picture. Oh. I don't want to blow up her spot. Did you feel catfished? Well, I thought she was pregnant and it turned out she wasn't. Wait, what? It was kind of a deal

breaker for me. Wait, for not being pregnant? Yeah, she clearly was pregnant in her profile pic and when I got there, you know, it was just... Wait, so you wanted wait this is confusing so you were meeting her for a first date and you wanted her to be pregnant

yeah like preggos so like preggos oh okay you know there's a thing it's fine we linked on tinder and her profile she looked pregnant so i was like like, hell yeah. Oh, what? Okay. So you thought that she wanted that too? Yeah, I thought it was a mutual kink. I don't know. Oh. Oh my God. Did you ask her if she was pregnant, or you just assumed that she was pregnant? No, I'm not a monster.

I could just tell in the picture that she's pregnant, and then when I showed up, no. Yeah. Okay. All right. Okay. Okay. All right. Okay. I can't wait. And to top it all off, you know, she told me that she had, like, kids a while ago. They were, like, three years old. So she hadn't been pregnant for a while.

So I was like, no thanks, liar. Oh. Oh. All right. Well, Chris, obviously you don't like liars. Well, I guess I didn't really lie to you. I just didn't tell you something. Amy's actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you right now.

Mm-hmm. Boop. Oh, God. Sorry, we forgot to tell you. Um, hi. Yeah, I'm sorry you had to hear that. I just, I'm into pregnant women, and I thought you were pregnant. I mean, I was at one point before I have been.

Yeah, Chris, Amy was pregnant at one point before you went on a date with her and didn't call her back. Does that mean anything? I do not like this. I mean, like, you saw the picture. That's, like, why you wanted to take me out. It's not like she can't get pregnant again. If you get pregnant again, hit me up. Oh, no.

Do you want to make her pregnant? I feel like that's really weird. That's a really strange thing to say. Don't be on. I mean, hey, I like what I like. Yeah, people like that, I guess. You're like, hey, don't be ashamed to like what you like as long as it's not hurting anybody. Right.

If everybody involved likes it or illegal or... Yeah, right. Or not in a relationship. Yeah. Or that. You should probably check that they're currently pregnant before you go on a date. Why would you put up a picture of yourself pregnant on a dating app? Because I felt really pretty in that picture.

Aw. Don't you get like that motherly glow? Yeah, you were pretty. God, I wish you were pregnant. Oh my God. Chris, to avoid this next time, just ask what their due date is before you meet them. No, don't do that. That's not a good idea because they might not be pregnant.

Oh yeah. Yeah. That could actually make sure you don't get a date at all if you do that true that could backfire yeah you guys have been in a situation where you've seen that happen right or have you ever have you ever done it no i absolutely won't even ask when i can tell they're pregnant i still won't ask i still won't ask it reminds me of this time when i was young and there was this lady we went to church with and my mom said she would always come up to her and be like i didn't know you were pregnant i didn't know you were pregnant and my mom was know you were pregnant. And my mom was like,

I'm about to beat you down in the house of God. So rude. I could be working in the maternity ward, and I could be a doctor delivering a baby in the maternity ward. I still wouldn't ask. Exactly. Chris, would you like to go out on another date with Amy? We'll pay for it.

I mean, if you hit me up when you're pregnant, I don't know, but right now, it's a no for me, dog. Oh, my God. Okay, Randy Jackson. Okay, Amy, what do you think? Would you still want to go out with Chris again at any point? That's super weird, but like

The last thing that I wanted to do was that. Well, I think Chris would have thought you were sexy for sure. Yeah, but I was like, what is wrong with you, Chris?

Oh, my gosh. No. Isn't there, like, a chance that you might be, like, hitting the little guy, girl in there? That's what I would always be scared of. Yeah, I've never had, I've obviously never had a kid. Alex and I are married. I have stepkids, they're not, you know, they're not mine. But I would be scared they would come out
