Starting point is 00:01:53 Taya is on the phone today for a first day follow-up. She's not getting a call back from a dude named Harris. And she doesn't know why she's getting ghosted, so we're going to help her find out right now. Apparently, they met at a baseball game. Was he a player? Did you meet him at the game, like, in the crowd, or were you standing in the stands and you're like, I love you, and they turn around and they're like, meet me in my hotel room, then I can tell you
Starting point is 00:02:13 exactly why you're getting ghosted and we don't even need to go into the rest. Met him in the stands. Okay, cool. In the crowd. How long has it been since you talked to him? It's been about two weeks. It's been about two weeks. It's been about two weeks.
Starting point is 00:02:28 And how many times in that two weeks have you tried to reach out to him? Just actually two or three times. Okay. Okay. Tell us about how you met then. You met at a baseball game? Yeah. I mean, our friends were, you know, my friends are talking to his friends and that's just
Starting point is 00:02:43 how we met. And it was just great conversation. And we had a really good time at the game. And so he asked me out for brunch, um, a couple of days later. And so we met for brunch a couple of days after the game. All right. And it was at this great little place called and there's one little, little thing. I, I felt like I kind of controlled the conversation a lot.
Starting point is 00:03:12 Maybe I didn't allow him to talk as much because I was just so excited or whatever. So it's the only thing I can think, but I don't know why that would be why he wouldn't call. Right. I mean, was he looking you in the eyes and like responding to a lot or did he not seem engaged? No, he seemed engaged. But when I asked him questions, he didn't answer. Like there wasn't, I don't know. It was hard for him to answer.
Starting point is 00:03:38 But other than that, it was good. Did it seem like he was disinterested? Because to me, that's what that sounds like. Or busy, like maybe like something was on his mind honestly I didn't feel like he was disinterested because I felt like the eye contact was good and he was smiling and happy so I don't
Starting point is 00:03:54 know he had such a great sense of humor like he actually laughed at my jokes like I could tell like he was like sincerely laughing and when he made jokes you know I felt like they were like he was like sincerely laughing and and when he made jokes you know I felt like they were like really funny like sometimes guys can be so insensitive and like their sense of humor is totally whack yeah this guy like totally had that and that's just so
Starting point is 00:04:15 important to me now at the baseball game did he approach you or did you approach him he approached me okay okay so you know we were all just like talking um having a good time and his friends and my friends and kind of noticed he was making eye contact with me and i was making eye contact with him of course and then a little bit later in the game when we were away from our friends um he approached me And so that's kind of when we started talking. The only other thing I can think of that happened, this is so embarrassing, but we were drinking mimosas because it was brunch.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Of course. You can't, it's not actually officially brunch if you don't have mimosas, I don't think. I know. It's not brunch unless you have mimosas. Seriously. That's true. So we were having mimosas. Seriously. Bottles. That's true. So, we were having a mimosas.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Everything was good until me, Klutz, over here, using my hands to talk, knocked over his mimosas. The orange juice got all over
Starting point is 00:05:16 his white t-shirt. Oh. I was so mortified. Were you drunk? Is that why you knocked it over? Or was it an actual accident?
Starting point is 00:05:24 It was embarrassing. No, no. I mean, I was buzzing, but I wasn't drunk. Do you think he thought you were too drunk and that's maybe the turn off? Oh, I didn't think of that. Like, I was thinking like...
Starting point is 00:05:38 Not to scare you or anything, but you know. Maybe that was his favorite shirt and you stained it. You guys. I wouldn't talk to... You stained my favorite shirt. I wouldn't talk to, like, you stained my favorite shirt. I don't care who you are. You stained all your shirts. That's true. I don't talk to myself now because of that.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Yeah. I guess. But maybe, I don't know. Maybe he really didn't want, I don't know. Who knows? I wouldn't think that that'd be a reason he might not call you back. But maybe it is the fact that he thought you took over the conversation and you needed a chance to talk.
Starting point is 00:06:03 I have no idea. There's nothing other than that that you can think of? I can't think of anything else. Okay. Well, we'll try to figure it out for you. Play a song, come back, and then call him and get your first date follow-up next. You're just joining us for today's first date follow-up. Kaya is on the phone,
Starting point is 00:06:18 and she's not getting a call back from a guy named Harris. They met at a baseball game. He was there with some friends. She was there with some friends. I'm sure alcohol was involved and then they started talking and they agreed to go out. Then they went to brunch. Alcohol was involved in that. Kaya says it's not. The
Starting point is 00:06:33 reason she's not getting a call back isn't because she was too drunk. She said she was just a little buzzed at both events. There is one moment on the date that was awkward for her because she accidentally hit his mosa glass and spilled orange juice on his white t-shirt. Maybe he didn't want to call her back because his t-shirt got stained. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:06:50 Also, she thinks maybe she talked too much and didn't give him a chance to talk because she felt like she took over the conversation and he seemed kind of bored and distant. Is that a pretty good recap, Kaya, of your date? Yeah. That's been pretty good. And it's been two weeks and she hasn't heard from him and she wants to know why because you want more Harris in your life, don't you, Kaya?
Starting point is 00:07:09 I do. I liked him a lot. All right. All right. Well, hopefully it works. Yeah, let's try to get it. A little more Harris in that life. We're going to try right now for you.
Starting point is 00:07:16 I'm going to dial this one right now. Here we go. Hello? hello hi i'm going to speak to harris speaking hey what's up harris how are you this is the jubile show it's a radio show and my name is jubile it's a radio show and i'm alex it's a radio show and i'm christian gray snow hey what's up what's going on how are you i mean it sounds like you know who the jubile show is am i correct well i mean i i've seen videos of you guys and so i i went and listened to your podcast i like your show it's really fun oh thank you thank you that's cool all right well then you've probably heard the first eight follow-ups before oh yeah i mean how many girls or guys are you ghosting exactly it's the first eight follow-ups before. Oh, shit. Yeah. I mean, how many girls or guys are you ghosting?
Starting point is 00:08:09 Exactly. It's the first eight follow-up. That's why we're calling. And you recently went on a date with somebody. They emailed us because you've been ghosting them for two weeks now. And her name is Kaya. She wants to know why you're not calling her back. Oh, I was going to have to play the guessing game, Jubal. Sorry. Okay. Well, that's crazy because
Starting point is 00:08:23 we only went out once. Yeah, this is not good. This is really not good. Why? Oh, man. Okay. Yeah, I... What the hell's the problem?
Starting point is 00:08:38 Kaya was wondering, so we talked to her about, you know, she met you at a baseball game. She said that you guys went to brunch. She said that she thinks you might not be calling her back because she accidentally spilled a mimosa and it got on your shirt. And then also maybe she took over the conversation and talked too much because she seemed like she felt like she talked a bunch and it didn't give you a chance to talk and she wanted to
Starting point is 00:08:58 hear your beautiful voice. Yeah, I mean... Do you have a girlfriend? Look, you got to understand we would never work out i don't even live it sounds like you don't want to answer alex's question harris no no no no no it's i look i um so do you have a girlfriend yeah you're from out of town right you were in town for your buddy's bachelor party you said yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah keep alex has asked you like two or three times now if you have a girlfriend and you haven't answered the question that looks a little yeah it does feel like you might have a girlfriend um well look i don't have a girlfriend but um that bachelor party that I was there for. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:09:47 It was mine. What? Dude. So you don't have a girlfriend, huh? No, I have a fiance. Oh, no. We just hung out. Like, nothing happened.
Starting point is 00:10:01 We didn't kiss or anything, you know? Wow, okay. So you don't consider it that you really did anything wrong because you didn't do anything physical with her. Is that what you're saying? I mean, we just talked, you know, it was, it was, and she did all the talking like I, I, that she was nice. I don't know. I just felt like it was something to do before I had to go and go to the next rehearsal thing. But you know, I had to change because she ruined a shirt that my
Starting point is 00:10:27 fiance gave me. And it was just I mean, I definitely got out of there quick. And I'm assuming you didn't tell your fiance that you went on a date with Kaya. I mean, it wasn't like a date date. We just had brunch. What are you missing? What are you missing from your
Starting point is 00:10:43 relationship? I would never even think twice about going out with another dude and especially without telling my husband. Look, I don't know why I did it. I don't. I'm sorry. And I was sitting there with
Starting point is 00:10:59 her and I was just listening to all of her weird stories and I just thought, I'm so glad I don't have to do this anymore. I love my fiance. I'm glad we're getting married. And honestly, like it was it was like a good wake up call. And I'm embarrassed that I did it. But like, OK, so, hey, Alex, I have a question.
Starting point is 00:11:21 I want I want to know what you think. Now that I know that I will never cheat on her, do you think I should tell my fiance? Because I don't want her to not trust me anymore. I want her to know that she can trust me. Do you want to be divorced one day? Because that's going to cause problems for her.
Starting point is 00:11:41 What if she finds out? How is she going to find out? That's what I'm asking. If she listens to the podcast. Well, not necessarily. Yeah, I mean she might not. But I definitely don't think that you should tell her. That's just going to cause problems for you guys forever. Okay. Yeah, I was kind of
Starting point is 00:11:58 wondering the same thing. I want another female's opinion. I don't know. What would you do? Like if you were cheated on or no, no, if, like, your fiance went on a date with another girl and he didn't tell you but then told you later on because he wanted to be like,
Starting point is 00:12:09 because then he realized how much he loves you and how much he wants to be with you. And he wants to come clean about it. And he wants to come clean about it and, like, you know, that you can trust him and all this and that.
Starting point is 00:12:16 And, like, what would you do? Would you stay with him? Would you be pissed? Would you be okay? I mean, I'd be kind of pissed because, I mean, why not tell me? Like, you have to tell me about that.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Like, that's a breach of trust in my opinion. So, going forward, though, would you marry him? Probably not. Oh. I mean, yeah not tell me like you have to tell me about that like that's a breach of trust in my opinion so going forward though would you marry him probably not oh I mean I don't know I've never been like in that long I don't know I want to say no but obviously you have to keep it from me it's because you know it's going to break us up exactly
Starting point is 00:12:38 that's a good way to say it I would make sure that she doesn't find out then I think that's where you're living a life of lies. Yeah. Something that you do need to know right now, though, Harris is that Kaya is actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to
Starting point is 00:12:50 you. So she, yeah. What? Yeah. I'm like, really? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Sorry. Hey, Kaya. Yeah. Yeah. What the, seriously? Like,
Starting point is 00:13:03 why did you even go out with me if you're engaged? When is your wedding? In two more weeks. Oh, it's soon, too. Can Kaya get an invite? Look, I'm sorry. I honestly don't know why I did it. You know, I apologize.
Starting point is 00:13:22 I'm sorry I wasted your time. I'm sorry that you think something was going to happen that was never going to happen. I just can't even believe someone would do this. I mean, you're just absolute. I feel sorry for your wife. Like I am like seriously feel sorry for her. Yeah, I do too. And the worst part about it is that you told me it was your friend's foster party.
Starting point is 00:13:43 That's who I was really interested in. So you messed that all up. So you didn't hit on the guy you wanted to hit on because you thought he was the one getting married. You did all this cheating for nothing. Well, he's single. I can give you his number. I can give you his email. Oh my God. This is twisted.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Okay, well, Harris, you obviously can't go out on another date with Kaya because you are engaged to be married in a few weeks. But Kaya, would you be interested in going out with Harris's friend that you thought was getting married that isn't getting married and he's single and dating? Would you like to get his information? Absolutely. Send me his number. The Jubal Show on demand. Hey, everyone. It's Katie Couric. Well, the election is in the homestretch,
