before we talk to you about the date and everything Allison how long has it been since your date with Roberto it's been a week okay and how many times have you tried to get a hold of him since your date I've texted him just about every day and called him a couple times.

It's a little persistent, but at least he knows you're interested. Yeah, like I thought it went really well. So I just don't understand and I really want him to know I'm still into it. Okay, cool. Well, we'll try to figure it out for you. Tell us a little bit about the date and Roberto and anything that you might have thought was awkward or anything that you want to share with us about it. Even what the color of the sunset looked like that. I don't care.

We did see a sunset. Oh, I guess I'll I'll get to that. So, well, we met we met on Facebook. We have a mutual friend and he sent me a friend request. And I was like, oh my gosh, this guy, like he could be the one. Like, so we started chatting on Facebook messenger and talked there for a couple of weeks and like, we ended up having a lot in common. We really enjoy traveling and going on adventures and having fun. So we started talking on the phone and then he invited me to go on a hike and

a picnic. And guys, it was so much fun. Like we went on this great hike to two miles up to the top of this cliff where there were these gorgeous views, like watched sunset, had a picnic. It was seriously like something out of a rom-com. Like it was so perfect. Christian is sitting over here snarling. That doesn't sound like, because to me it doesn't sound safe to go on a date at two miles into the

woods with a stranger. That's, you know, maybe I just watched too many true crime shows or listen to too many true crime podcasts, but I was like, red flag, don't do that. Well, it's just like we had been talking for so long and I feel like I know this guy and we're so connected

and we have this amazing kiss and I just wasn't worried about it at all. I know, it was really good. Well, if it was so great, then why do you think he's not calling you back? Well, there was, okay, so there was just this one thing. So we had a picnic, right? And we're at the top of this cliff.

And I had some trash and a water bottle that I just kind of like threw over the cliff to get rid of. And he was not happy about that. Oh, yeah. Why would you do that? I don't know. It was just like, it seemed like the thing to do at the time. Well, it depends on who you're with. Hey, it's Bennett, but last time I was on a hike, I had trash and I'm like, I don't know where to put this.

And a few older women walked by and they were like, just throw it over. And I'm like, I don't know if I should do this, but I didn't want to carry it down, so I did that too. That feels so wrong. For sure. Like, I mean, I used to throw drinks out the window when I was 16. That's a whole nother thing. I still have guilt about doing that.

Me too. Sometimes I do it just to feel alive. Sometimes I do it just to get it out of my car. Welcome to climate change. So, yeah, maybe that turned him off. Is that the only thing you think about or think of yeah like that is the only thing and he definitely wasn't happy but i apologized and was pretty embarrassed and it seemed like he accepted my apology and everything was fine you got to be a

real true self on the first thing i mean yeah good for you at least you know like you're not um trying to pretend anything you know like yeah like, one thing about me is I litter. You got to deal with that if you want to date me. Take it or litter it. I know, but I didn't want to have, like, stinky trash in a banana. Like, we just had, like, this moment, and I didn't want to be like, and here's my trash. I shouldn't have done it. I shouldn't have done it.

You shouldn't have let him see him. Or that. It just, like, it seemed like he accepted my apology though and like everything was fine on the ride home but then he hasn't called me back since then yeah okay well we'll see if we can figure it out so the littering is the only thing though nothing else weird happened other than that well i don't know that's not weird necessarily but it is a thing that people do nothing else no nothing at all that I can think of. Then we'll play a song, come back and call him

and see if we can figure it out with your first date follow-up next. If you're just joining us for today's first date follow-up, Allison is on the phone and Allison likes to litter. Yes, she does. Allison went out with a dude named Roberto. They went on a hike. She said the date was really amazing,

but she did throw her water bottle over the ledge on a cliff when they were hiking. Naughty. And she thinks that that may have turned him off, and that's why he hasn't called her back. It's been a week. She's tried to reach out to him, and she's heard nothing. And before we call him and try to get you another date, Allison, and find out what did go wrong on your date, you think it's the littering, but how did things end with you guys when you parted ways? Did he seem cool even after you littered? Yeah. Like it seemed like we left on a really good terms. Like we had a really nice drive back to my house and I'm just, I'm just really confused. Like, I just really want to know like why I haven't heard from him. All right. Well,

Well, you can help us by telling us why you won't call Allison back. Oh. Okay. This is weird. Why are you wondering that? Well, the whole world's wondering. Yep. You haven't looked on it. Have you not seen Instagram today? I'm surprised we got you on the phone. It's gone viral.

Ding. Is your phone not blowing up? What? No, I haven't. Damn. Yeah, everybody's wondering about what happened. Can you tell me exactly what you mean by that? Because I'm kind of a little curious

about what you mean with the whole viral stuff. We do a thing on the show called The First Date Follow-Up is where if you go on a date with somebody and then you end up not calling them back, they can email us to get you on the phone and ask what happened. So it hasn't gone viral, nothing like that yet, but it depends on what your reason is.

Allison emailed us and asked us to call you to find out why you're ghosting her that's what's going on so why are you ghosting oh wow so i really like her and you know it was an amazing date to be honest i had a really good time uh i'm gonna go i'm gonna be really blunt with you she pretty much you know we had a good time we were going through the trail and all that trash, like, you know, her stuff. And I didn't understand why, considering we were on, like, a nature hike, you know, enjoying the scenery and, like, with all the animals and stuff or whatnot. She did tell us about the littering. Yeah, it was so random. And I had my backpack with me, so I could have put, like, her trash in there like I did mine.

So I didn't understand that. But anyways, that's nothing to get upset about. I wish I can continue to date her, but there was just one red flag that caught me off guard. It wasn't the littering? I mean, I didn't like the littering, but it wasn't that. I mean, I got over it, but I thought to myself, like, damn, this girl litters. What is going on here? So what was it? What was the red flag? She did mention to me that she hangs out with her ex. Okay. And to be honest, I don't want to get

involved. I don't think anybody does. And when she told me that I was kind of, I kind of went along with it, you know, just cause I didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable, but I definitely didn't like that. You know, she told me that she dated him for two years and, you know just because i didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable but i definitely didn't like that you know she told me that she dated him for two years and you know we were kind of just sitting there enjoying the scenery and she kind of looked really like into that conversation i was kind of hoping that we would kind of change the subject but yeah she was telling me about him you know all this good stuff that he's a nice guy and that they still hang out, and, you know, they're just friends. What if you met him and then you guys became besties? Could happen. No.

You know what, guys? I'm going to be honest. I was actually cheated on one time with her ex. Wait, what? Stop it. Yeah, so pretty much my ex-girlfriend, she cheated on me with that guy. And so when I went back home, I pretty much went on like her Instagram.

Hold up real quick. Roberto, hold up real quick. Allison's ex, the girl you went on a date with, her ex cheated with somebody you were with? Yeah, exactly. That's crazy. The world is too small. That's a real big red flag. Yeah.

Also, though, way to get him back, right? True. That is crazy. You know what else is crazy? Allison is actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you. She is. Sorry, I forgot to tell you that. Hey, Roberto. Hey. Hey, Allison, how are you? I mean, I'm okay, but this is crazy. Yeah, so your ex-boyfriend, Mike, he's the guy that my ex-girlfriend cheated on me with. I mean, I'm kind of curious now.

Did you know this? No. I don't know. Like, when did this even happen? I dated my ex three years ago. It's a long time, but, you know, those things kind of stick with you. So wait, what the three years ago? Like, like when you say three years ago, can you give me dates? Pretty much. It was three years ago, like around August. So we broke up in August and then we kind

of tried to like work things out, but you know i was super hurt and so we just ended things so around august yeah i would say oh my god like mike and i were still together then we only broke up like a year ago oh yeah i got it i'm sorry you know this is this is too messy i didn't mean to like cause any you know, you know, like, you know, this is not what I wanted to do. This is just, I'm just telling you the reason why. You don't have to say sorry. He cheated on me, and I had no idea. Well, you know what?

Silver lining, Roberto. If that was your red flag, I am definitely no longer friends with my ex. So if that's the only reason you didn't want to go out again, not a problem. Hey, take a negative, make it a positive right there. If that was the only thing, Roberto, would you like to go out with Allison again on another date? We'll pay for it. The dude cheated on me. I thought he was a good guy, but I'm just finding this out now. Who knows if it happened multiple times? Like I am never, never talking to that. I'm never talking to him again.

So there you go. Your red flag is now gone. What do you think? You want to go out with Allison again? We'll pay for it. Actually. Yes. Uh, under one condition, actually two. Okay. All right. So allison you can't litter anymore and two please no more talking to your ex no exes at all no exes i mean those are good i think those are good yeah i think those are pretty basic don't litter don't talk to your ex who cheated on you be a normal human, basically. It's going to be probably harder for me to not litter at this point, but I can make that promise.
