went day drinking together and now he's not calling her back hopefully she didn't embarrass herself anja how are you i'm'm good. It's Anya. It's not your fault. Blame my parents. Oh, Anya. Okay. Yeah. And the Dutch.

And how'd you meet Roberto? So we met through Bumble. We actually, he reached out to me, which is part of why I'm a little confused. But we chatted for like a week. And then we were like, you know, with the Rona and everything, we figured an outdoor date would probably be the best way to go. And so we went to a brewery because we're both beer geeks, probably me especially. My favorites are all out of season. All my beers are winter beers, but I'll survive.

And so we went to a local brewery and I thought we had a great time. And afterward, I messaged him. And you know how when someone's texting you back and you can see like the three little dots as they're like working on their text? Yeah. So I see the three little dots pop up and then static you know you stare at it you know yeah depending on the situation if it's someone you're currently dating and like things are going good you're staring at the dots you're like oh i can't wait to see what they're gonna say hopefully they send me a flirty little emoji if you're in an argument with someone you're looking at you're like oh my

god what are they gonna say right now you know So you saw the three dots and what happened? And then nothing. Nothing. Like nothing happened. Yeah. He literally just never messaged me back. That's even worse because he was typing and then deleted the message. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. So that was a hard burn. I'm trying not to take that too personally, but I'm struggling. Was it one of those where like the three dots were there, they went away, then they came back again, then they went away, then they came back again, and then nothing? And then I was like, screw it. I kind of stopped looking after a while because it was depressing. It sounds like it went great during the day, but how did it end?

We both Ubered home separately. Obviously, we'd been drinking. But yeah, I mean, it was just a nice hug. And, you know, I'll see you again. And I guess not. But a hug right now, like we've been doing these for a while. And, you know, dating is weird right now. A hug right now, we've said it a million times. That's basically going all the way.

So you basically hooked up with him and he's not calling you back. And I think he's a dog for that. God, I didn't even think about that. That's awkward. To be willing to hug you right now, people aren't touching, so it means I would think he liked you. It wasn't like a super cozy hug. We kept it

chill. It was like a little hug, but I don't know. Okay, so you had a PG hug, and then he just stopped calling you back. Is there anything you can think of that might have happened? I mean, I'm a little loud. A little loud. Oh, And you were day drinking. Yeah, I could do it. I thought maybe I'm like kind of self-conscious about it, but you know, when I'm happy, I tend to get like a little excited and maybe I was just too loud. I don't

know. Okay. And you said that you guys got a little tipsy, right? So do you remember everything? You know, so, you know, I mean mean i mean a little bit of it's a little fuzzy but um i mean i don't think i made any mistakes like i just think i really think maybe it's just that i was a little loud that was the only thing i could think of that actually made sense okay all right well we're gonna play a song come back and then call him and see if we can figure out why he's not getting back to you okay okay thanks yep That sounded sad. Have some hope. Whoa, there it is. There's the loudness we were talking about.

The new hits, 106.1. First date follow-up. Anya is on the phone right now. Whoa. And she thinks that she might not be getting a call back from a guy she went on a date with because she's a little loud. That scared me. I didn't like that.

If you missed the first part, Anya met this dude named Robert on Bumble. They actually went to a brewery to do a little day drinking for their first date,

and she thought everything went great. They even ended the date with a hug, which is really risky right now. Yeah. And then they were texting back and forth after and then at one point she saw the dots pop up on the iMessage. The three dots of death. The three dots where somebody's texting you and he was responding to something and then

Do you have any idea what I'm talking about? Uh, no. Okay. Not really. We do a segment on our show. It's called the First Date Follow-Up. That's where if you go out on a date with someone and then don't call them back after or text them back, they can email us to get you on the phone and find out what happened.

And recently, you met a girl named Anja. You might have thought her name was Anja, but it's actually Anya. Do you remember Anya? Yeah. Yeah. Well, Anya emailed us. She said that you guys were texting, and then she saw those little dots pop up. So she noticed that you were saying something back to her and then the dots went away and

you didn't say anything. Yeah. Um, how did I say this? I'm just not interested there. I'll tell you what she thinks. She thinks that she got too drunk while you guys were out day drinking and maybe it was a little bit loud and you don't sound like a loud dude, Robert. Yeah, I'm not a loud dude.

Okay. So she thinks she might've been a little too loud for you. Is that what it is? The volume wasn't really the problem. It was kind of more that I just kind of felt like she was a creep. She was a creep? Huh. You normally don't hear that.

Yeah, normally it's dudes that are creeps. Yeah, what did she do to creep you out? Well, she just sent me a really weird text after the date. Oh, no way. Okay, so did she do what a lot of creepy dudes do after they go out on a date or meet a woman and send you a picture of something that you weren't ready to see? Oh, no. No, that wouldn't have been creepy in my book. I guess you're right. You are a dude. You can send that to a guy whenever. They're fine with it. Yeah. Yeah. She sent me a weird text after the date, and she wanted to know how big my shoe was. Oh, my God.

Oh, wow. Okay. I know where it's going. Yeah. How big is it? Oh, that's the shoe. The shoe. Right.

There's so many guys that are listening to this right now who cannot relate to you. I can tell you that much. Yeah, they're all like, that's the ultimate goal, bro. Yeah,

like, that's the only reason I go in chicks is so they'll ask about my shoe size because my shoe size is actually really small. But, like, it just sounds weird that she would say that to you and it would creep you out enough where you didn't want to call her back. That's the only thing? You know, I just think it's a little weird that that one thing was that you never even responded back. Like you couldn't even tell me that it was weird, like nothing. Yes, I feel very strongly about this. I know why you asked about my shoe size. You think that it's fine to do that after a first date. I don't think it's fine. Okay. Let me help you. Don't flatter yourself.

I liked you and it had been day drinking, and I thought it would be cool to get you a pair of shoes because my homie Mike works at a freaking shoe shop. And you, with your big-ass bug-stomping feet, have a hard time finding shoes. Wait, so you were really asking about a shoe size to get him a pair of shoes? Yes.

Well, let's take a turn. My buddy Mike works a shoe shop, and Jordan 11s are hard to find in a big size, so I was going to get him to hook them up. Because you have clown-ass looking feet, Robert. Wow. Oh, my goodness. That's what you sound like. Do you have big clown feet, Robert?
