If you're into pinball, then you know they have pinball leagues. And I say that because Terrence is on the phone right now. And Terrence isn't getting a call back from a woman named Robin. They went out on a date. And apparently, they are both in a pinball league. I don't really care that much about your date or not getting a call back. I just want to learn more a pinball league. I don't really care that much about your date or not getting a callback. I just want to learn more about pinball leagues. Where'd you sign up to be in a pinball league, Terrence?

They just had this gaming bar where they had like old school, you know, video games that you can play when you drink. So this isn't like a major national pinball league. This is a pinball league that you and your buddies created at a bar that you go to. Yeah, yeah. It's like the community level. Yeah. So did you meet Robin? National Pinball League. This is a pinball league that you and your buddies created at a bar that you go to. Yeah, yeah, it's like the community level, yeah. So did you meet Robin,

the woman who's not giving you a call back at the bar where you have your pinball league? Is that how you guys met? Exactly, yeah,

we met there. All right, and before we ask you about the date and stuff, how long has it been since you talked to her? It's been a couple weeks that I haven't heard anything back from her. And how many times have you reached talked to her? It's been a couple weeks. I haven't heard anything back from her.

And how many times have you reached out to her? A couple times. That's weird, like a huge athlete like you not getting a call back. You know, normally women are throwing themselves at pinball athletes, but... Ooh, that endorsement money. Yeah, yeah, you know, I mean,

I just don't want her to think that I'm just you know, a gamer. Like, that's all I do. Like, I am naturally, you know, I mean, I just don't want her to think that I'm just, you know, a gamer. Like, that's all I do. Like, I am naturally, you know, gifted when it comes to pinball and 90s gaming. But, like, you know, I do other things. Like, I hike. I do pottery. Well, we don't even know why she's not calling you back, but she's clearly not calling you back for a reason.

So what did you guys do for your date? Let's try to figure it out. You know, we a the pinball tournament we did a couple rounds of that we got out early because we we did like you know we teamed up together usually for pinball tournament you can go in as solo or duo so how did you meet her it was just at the bar i was doing this weekly pinball tournament with my homies that we always do every week. And I saw her with her friend and went up to her, talked to her a little bit, you know, bought her a drink and told her to come by next week and play on my team.

Okay. Nice. She obviously, you guys exchanged numbers and she came back and that was your date playing with her in the pinball tournament. How was that? Was it fun for her, you think, or just for you? Yeah, I thought so. You know, I thought we had a couple, you know, inside jokes and we were making

some like, you know, good little memories, especially at that bar. Did you have any conversation at all? Or was it just all about the game and the sport? I think it was good give and take, you know. Some, you know, gaming. I was kind of coaching her through some stuff. And then also just, you know, talking about growing up

in the city. Was there any point throughout the date that you thought that like her attitude kind of changed or that you could feel that she wasn't really enjoying it anymore? Not that I could tell, no. Okay, so you have no idea, not the slightest clue as to why she's ghosting you? No, I thought my energy was great.

I thought she had great energy. I thought we were, you know, we had great chemistry. I feel like we, you know, we were making little jokes, giving each other names, and I'm, like, shocked that she didn't reply, you know, after that night. Okay. I guess I am kind of concerned that she only thinks I'm like one dimensional when it comes to, you know, playing video games and just. Like you're just all about the video games?

Like. Yeah. And like that I don't have a life. Right. Okay. So is that, that's the reason that you think maybe she doesn't want to go out with you again or see you again? Yeah.

Okay. Did you guys kiss or anything at the end of the night? How did the evening end? No, we hugged, though. We hugged for like, you know, a good three, four, five seconds. Okay. That's a long hug. You didn't hear from her one time afterwards.

Is that correct? Yeah, yeah. And the only thing you can think of is that maybe she just thinks you're too into gaming? Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Did you guys win in your pinball tournament or did you lose? Oh, you know, we lost early but it gave us more time to play other

games. That might be what it is. She might want to date a champion. Doesn't want to date a loser. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I hope not. Alright, well, we'll find it out for you. They got groupies waiting in the lobbies of their hotel all the time. Football players. Specifically the Kardashians they have waiting. Yeah. The NBA, the Kardashians are just hanging out in the lobby of the hotel room. Well, surprisingly, we have an athlete on the phone who isn't getting a call back. His name is Terrence, and he plays in a pinball league. And he went out with a girl named Robin. And when I say went out, I mean he hangs out at the same bar every weekend with his homies playing pinball.

And he saw her in there one night and said, hey, you should come back next week and play on my team. I don't want you to play on anybody else's team but mine. And she agreed. And they played pinball together. And now she's not calling him back. The only reason you can think of that he's not getting a callback is maybe she thinks he's a little bit too into gaming and doesn't have anything else to offer. But Terrence swears that he does. There's more to you, Terrence, than just a pinball master, right?

Yeah, absolutely. And I really want to reconnect with her again because, you know, we were laughing and you guys really want to know what happened and, you know, we can make it work. All right. Well, we'll dial her number right now and see if we can figure it out for you, okay?

We had a great time. We, you know, we went, I'm sure he told you, we went and played pinball he's actually in a league and uh that was all great like it was kind of cute and goofy and everything but he just did something that was just kind of a turnoff we want to know so you were turned on because the pinball of course and then somehow it somehow he did something that was a turnoff to you what was it okay what he did though is he asked me to call him the thumb like as a nickname of his or yeah like yeah it's fine funny little nickname but it the way he asked

was just a little intense like Like he got real serious. He's like, all right, all right, listen, listen. And he pulled out a jersey that he had made. And like, you know, it looks like a professional sports jersey. And it said, the thumb. He's serious about it. And he's like, I think we're really vibing. I want you to refer to me as the thumb.

Okay. All right. And there was no hint of a joke? Like, he wasn't joking at all? No, I didn't think so. I thought he was, like, really serious. He probably was. But we were joking before.

Like, we were having a great time. And then it just, like, the mood shifted. Wanted me to call him The Thumb. Well, it was game time, I guess, right? Yeah. That was it. Other than that, we had a good time. It just was like, that was intense. I thought it was strange.

And I couldn't shake the vibe. You want to date Terrence and you don't want to date The Thumb. The Thumb, yeah, exactly. All right, well, I don't know if I have to remind you of this because you said that you listen to the show quite a bit, but the thumb is actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you. Oh, damn it.

It is kind of like, you know, an alter ego thing, and it is just very, like, it's not serious, but it is kind of just like what, you know, my friends call me. You know, I guess I didn't know it was that big of a thing for you to just kind of hop on board of that. No, no, I just, I just thought it was intense. That's all. I, I really, I had a good time the rest of the time, honestly, I really did.

Yeah. You know, it is just like a, a very important thing that just, you know, people call me the thumb while I'm in the zone. It just helps me play better, you know, and be who I am when I am gaming. Gotcha. Well, I mean, let me ask you this. If we ever went out again, could we do something not pinball related? And could I just call you Terrence? Yes, absolutely.

If we're not gaming, you can me terrence yes well in that case uh robin would you like to go on another date with terrence we'll pay for it with terrence not the phone no yes oh my gosh she's making me laugh you know what why Why not?
