The Jubal Show on demand. First day follow-up. Camille is on the phone today for a first day follow-up. She's getting ghosted by a dude named Jesse that she went on a date with. Camille, thanks for your email. Before we ask you about the date and stuff, how long has it been since you heard from Jesse?

Maybe like a week. Yeah, like a week. It just kind of, I feel like it kind of happened out of nowhere. I thought things were going really well. So I'm just kind of confused. All right. Well, tell us a little bit about the date then. then so he actually flew me out um we did like a tequila tasting and we had tacos and it was literally like one of the most magical nights of my life so um yeah that's awesome it was really good he treated me really well he um pretty much like wined and dined me and i've never really been wined and dined like that so that felt really good it was basically just like vip treatment like it was literal magic so i'm not really sure what's going on because i feel like we have a really good connection really strong connection where did you meet where did you meet him we met on vacation in

cabo you met him on vacation in Cabo. Okay, that's cool. Yeah, yeah. It was a good place to meet somebody. What a great meeting story. For real, okay. Yeah, he was just with all his friends and my family. And so I got to hang out with his friends, meet some of his friends.

And we just had a really good time. And then we exchanged numbers and stuff, and then a week after that, he flew me out, and I thought we had a really good time then too, but I don't know. The only thing that I can really think of is I did a tequila tasting, so I did get a little tipsy, a little drunk. That's like taking someone to a grocery

store and getting mad they bought something yeah invited to a tequila tasting you can't be mad you got a little toasty yeah no okay thank you thank you that's exactly how I feel but like I don't know I'm like maybe I was just like a little too sloppy or something like I I really don't know like I know I like remember that I did get a little sick after, like, I think I threw up at his place, but. Oh,

okay. Well, it was a tequila tasting, you know, you're going to throw up for sure. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like,

is that why? Like, I don't know. We were, we were drinking a lot, but I, we, I see,

I still feel like we had a really good time. So it's just kind of confusing to why, like, I have no idea why I murdered him. All right. That's fair. What was your last interaction? I guess, I mean, I guess I really, oh my God, yeah,

I really haven't heard from him since the day I left. Okay. Yeah, he kind of, you know, he sent me off and everything felt normal to me um and then i haven't really heard from him since so did he take you to the airport he called me at uber okay how much of the tequila tasting do you remember are there parts where you don't remember you know i would say I remember most everything but okay I will say I never get like that like I don't I like never get like that so I I don't think there's a lot I don't remember

there might be like a couple things you know um but I I don't think it was anything too crazy I don't think I did anything too crazy I'm just not really that kind of girl so i can't imagine what i did that would make him not want to talk to me anymore you know what i mean other than like getting a little sick but like like you said like we're drinking tequila i don't know yeah that's to be expected you know like i would honestly not call you back if you didn't puke i'd be like that is weird freak of nature um all right well we'll try to figure it out for you we'll play a song come back and then call him and see if we can figure out why he's not calling you back and get you another date

And we had a great night. I did get like a little sick from the tequila, but I really don't know why he's dosing me. It doesn't really make sense. I haven't heard from him in a great night. So I haven't heard from him since he flew me out. And the next morning he got me an Uber to the airport and that was it. All right.

You know, you guys are fun, huh? Great, man. Nice to meet you. I'm calling you today because we got an email about you from somebody who does listen to the show. Okay. We do a segment on our show

and it's called The First Date Follow-Up. What that is is if you go out on a date with someone and you end up ghosting them, they can email us to get you on the phone and ask why you're ghosting them.

So recently you had a date, you're not calling them back and they want to know why. Can you think of who that might be? Is it Camilla? There was, we got an email

from someone named Camille. Yeah, yeah. I met her on vacation in Cabo and we hit it off. Yeah, she told us that. And she said that you flew her out to where you're at. Yeah, I did. You guys went tequila tasting. That sounds fun.

Yeah, you know, it was. It was a really good time. So why are you ghosting her, though? You haven't talked to her since. Yeah, what gives? I'm wondering why. This is going to sound like really mean to say on a radio show, but I'm fairly well off financially.

Nice. And I wanted to treat her well. I realized at the end of the day it was probably kind of a mistake on my part. After the tequila tasting, you know, we had a great time and we were talking about stuff. And she started talking about the future, which honestly didn't freak me out initially because, like, she's really cool. I like her a lot. But, like, she was talking about how she wouldn't really have to work if we got married oh um and it kind of seems like maybe i shouldn't have like led with uh with the

money and stuff it kind of began to feel like maybe she was like excited to have like nabbed a rich one what's the point of flying somebody out if you don't want them to be impressed by your ability to fly them out no and and dude i i honestly i get that uh that's like i shouldn't have ghosted her i should have talked to her about it but like it just it how do you know now right so you think she's a gold digger i i i would say that i i probably think that she might be in it for the money. And, like, I could address it with her, but, like, obviously she's going to say no. Who would ever be like, oh, yeah, absolutely.

I'm super into the cash. I've met some people that would say yes, and they were terrible people. But I have met people that would say, yeah, absolutely. That's why I'm here. Yeah, I don't think she's a terrible person, but I can't. There's just no way to know. And that's my fault, you know? Well, there is one way to know.

What do you mean? Well, I mean that Camille is actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you. So that's a good way to find out. Hey, Jesse. Hi. You don't even really know my name. So that's where we're going to start. Not Camilla.

I'm sorry. so that's where we're gonna start not Camilla I mean it's just like you know we spent like some time together so I would at least expect you to know my name but yeah I guess I'm just kind of like taken aback by like I felt like we had a really strong connection and then like you ghosting

me like doesn't feel good and it also does not feel good to hear that you think I'm a gold digger um like honestly I think that I was just really like intrigued by you and your lifestyle and it felt really good to be treated like you know the way you're treating me I've never been treated like that before so it was just like kind of a breath of fresh air. I'm not into you for your money, but I do, I will say, you know, it is like a big, like, wow. Like it just feels really good to be treated that way. You know?

Did you remember telling him that if you guys got married, you wouldn't have to work and stuff? Cause you were at a tequila tasting. I don't know if that was one of the drunk points. I don't know if I said it like that. I like vaguely remember saying something like that so no you didn't say it exactly like that it was uh it was significantly more slurred shady yeah i will say i was a little tipsy but i mean honestly i just felt like i just felt like i was on top of the world you know What I do know is that I definitely don't deserve to be ghosted,

especially by a guy who doesn't even know my name. Camille, first, I'm super sorry. I have a friend named Camilla, and it's spelled the same way, and it's just one of those weird things where, like, I've been saying it a certain way my whole life, and, like, it's a habit, so, like, I'm super sorry about that. I agree with everybody like ghosting you was like not a cool thing to do this is all 110 my fault it's just rough because like talking about those things that i almost got caught up in it you know you talk about like

it was a great night it was i had a wonderful time um and then like once it started talking about like whether or not you have to do anything if we got married and that kind of stuff and like it's my fault I shouldn't have done all that stuff so quick should have eased you into it so we could like you know have a relationship before I dropped those bombs on you but like now I just kind of feel like I can't really know for sure. And that's not your fault. That's mine. Yeah, no, I really do appreciate you saying that. Yeah, no, it makes sense.

You know, unfortunately, no, I don't think there's really like a dating thing um you know i'm honestly i'm glad you guys called like i'm glad we were able to have this conversation but like i just don't know if there's like a way to move past the mistakes i made we

don't have to like date or anything but like i think we could be like you know we could still see each other every once in a while if you wanted to. Like, we could, whatever. I would be willing to negotiate something. Honestly, I would like that. You do drink tequila better than most of my friends. So, I'm sure. I definitely do.
