Hello and welcome to another episode of the Regulation Podcast.
This is episode 125.
I am the first G.
In An Egg. My name is Jeff. With me, as always, Gavin, Andrew, Nick, and Eric.
Gilly Pop.
That's true. That is your nickname.
That's a name.
What is the an egg of our nicknames?
Oh.
Oh.
Oh. What is the an egg of our nicknames?
Somebody do math.
Let me get a piece of paper.
5 plus 5.
It's 10.
T.
An egg.
It has to go in an egg order, right?
Yeah.
Dilly pop.
So D.
Stop saying Dilly.
D.
It'd be D.
Nick, your baby face, is that right?
B.
And then Eric is a little skeddy L.
And then I'm the first G.
And I'm the candy man.
And then Gavin, you're the trigger man.
So double cut.
Double cut.
Whoa.
Oh, double cut.
Double cut.
Oh, shit.
That's awesome.
We've been double cut all year and we've been using ad egg.
We saw.
Oh, my God.
So much better.
2026 was double cut and we didn't even know it.
Double cuck?
We have to get to the-
That's what I heard.
We have to get to the bottom of this immediately in 2027.
Damn, we could use, we can also use some vowels next year.
Something to think about.
They're expensive.
Do it. Do it.
Give everyone a vowel nickname then.
You can start writing them down.
Everybody got you.
Yeah, what's a vowel?
Like, 500 bucks or something?
250?
Expensive.
Everyone's nickname is going to send like a last name on the Supranos.
Bunch of vowels.
Right, but we're talking about starting with a vowel.
Yeah, well, you know, I think we go vowel heavy.
Okay, so, okay, so you're not really, so you're like not following what we're talking about here.
You're just sort of doing, like, your own thing.
Yeah.
Got it.
Doing it for six years.
That's not an indictment on you.
I'm just making sure that that's what's happening.
It's,
this whole show is you guys walking down a hallway
while I do the Scooby-Doo
in and out of the doors left and right.
Sometimes we converge,
but like,
I'm not necessarily aiming
in the same place.
We end up in the same area on occasion.
I'll run by.
Stop by.
Say, hey.
I had an absolute disaster
recently and,
that I'm curious if Gavin can relate to.
Is this toilet related?
C-Pap-related.
Whenever I say if Gavin can relate to, it's always C-P-P-related.
I'm always hoping for toilet.
No.
He's not my toilet guy.
You're my toilet guy.
No, I know.
I'm just, I'm just, it doesn't change the fact that I'm always hoping for toilet.
Fair enough.
Gavin, so when you have a CPAP, you have the mask, and that mask goes into a hose,
and that hose goes into the machine.
Yeah.
Have you had issues with the hose that goes into the machine,
loosening its grip on your mask as a whole?
No, it clips on
Oh, it clips? You have a clip?
Yeah, I like clip it into the top of my head every night.
Clip.
Oh.
So mine, I don't have like a clip type thing.
It just is like it's, it has a firmness to it.
And then that firmness goes away over time with uses and pulling it out.
Yeah, I guess my firmness goes into the clip, but that's, that's never removed or anything.
I see.
Well, mine gets real, real loose.
I've had this problem twice now
and it gets to a point where if I
turn my head, the mask
hose disconnects from the proper hose
and then it just starts hissing
at me loudly and it's
very annoying and it's
loud so it will like wake up my partner
so it's a whole issue. Yeah, you should
replace your parts. So I have
I have done that
but not because of that
specific issue. I had
the audacity
to decide I wanted to try to roll
over in the middle of the night.
I was like, I'm going to lay on my left side.
I'm going to switch it up a little bit tonight.
I'm feeling it.
But I didn't want to wake up my partner.
So I grabbed the part of the hose so it wouldn't disconnect and hiss because it's the
middle of the night.
I rolled and I pulled the whole machine off the end table where typically the hose would
just detach because I was holding everything at once.
I didn't realize they didn't have as much length as I thought I did.
Pulled the whole machine out, which I had just filled with water.
to the top that evening to make sure that
have a good sleep. No issues,
no dryness the following morning.
It falls. I am in
like a very sleep confused state.
My machine is going like
go, go, go, go.
And I'm panicking because I have
all of my like power strip
is directly below it. So I don't want
all the water to fall
into the power strip. So I pick
it up and I have the machine on me
and it's still going go go go, go, go.
And so then I flip it over because I'm like, maybe I have it upside down.
And I don't all the while, I was trying to do this quietly.
My partner is now awake like, what is going?
Are you okay?
What is happening?
Go, go, good, good, good, good.
I take my mask off because I've been blind to this point.
I'm like, okay, now I'm awake.
Now I got to fix this.
I flip it.
Everything is fine.
Then I guess I tilt the machine and all of the water pours directly down to the hose, which
just goes into my nose and through.
down my throat so now I'm gagging
take the mask off the water's just shooting
into the bed because it's just it's rolled down the hose
and there's nowhere else for it to go
my partner's very confused as to what is happening
this entire time I take it off
now I'm awake it's like 4 a.m.
and I'm just awake and I can't go back to sleep
that's an absolute nightmare
absolute nightmare the positive
is I realized that that heating tube
had, I guess, micro tears in it
because when I went to go to sleep again
and I was turning it on and adjusting things,
I was making sure the hose wasn't kinked.
I got blasted in the eyes with water
that was like remnants of the tube
through the middle of the hose
because it had a crack in it, I guess.
It was terrible.
It was a whole disaster.
I was trying to have a good sleep
and it's just absolute nightmare.
So that's my, I felt like an idiot.
It was a disaster,
but I at least learned that not only is my hose
not clipping properly, it had holes in it.
So a couple questions.
Yeah, of course.
One, from the moment that you initiated this,
like you went to pull over and you,
you know, you've overcorrected, obviously.
Yeah.
From that moment to when you were back in bed and your
partner was trying to sleep and you were settled back in
with everything put back together, what was the length of time
that that took?
Oh, that's tough because you know, like in moments like that,
it feels like an eternity.
really quick or in eternity, like it goes either way.
I felt like it was probably three minutes,
and reality it was probably like 90 seconds.
But 90 seconds of complete scramble.
I've posted some footage of what I imagined you went through.
Okay, Gavin posted footage.
Yeah, it's very similar.
It's the Keanu Reeves Matrix and the pod thing.
Yeah, when he disconnects from the tube.
So, CPAPs are important because you could literally die without them.
Sleep apnea can kill.
Oh, absolutely.
Yes.
But it seems like sleep, it seems like, at least in your heads, they're also dangerous
because they could definitely kill you.
Like, you could die from using a CPAP, I think.
I mean, it seems like it's possible for sure, but definitely worth the trade.
I just feel like sleep is so uniquely dangerous for, well, it's dangerous for anybody who
it needs a CPAP, obviously.
But for you, it just feels like an extra layer.
danger.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Sometimes when I'm all hooked up and it's all going wrong like that, I just think,
surely my airways collapsing in my sleep is better than this.
No, no.
No way.
It's a huge improvement.
Like, think about the first time I used it when we did the Mario Party thing and I did
not wake up.
I was in like the deepest lumber because I hadn't slept right for probably like a year
at least.
Katham, let me ask you a question specifically to you.
If you're drunk and you fall asleep like in a scorpion position but upside down so that you're falling backwards.
Like in a conversation we had yesterday, what do you think is going to kill you first?
You're asleep apnea or whatever you're doing to your legs.
Or like a huge blood clot in my legs.
Gavin was telling me a story about how if you sleep wrong while you're drunk, you'll die.
Yeah, did I make that up or do people sometimes pass out but like backwards onto their legs?
and they can, like, lose their legs from blood flow loss or something.
Gavin told us that you can lose your legs if you sleep wrong.
And his example of sleeping wrong was, you know,
one, like, a rock star does, like, the knee slide,
and then they lay their, like, back to the stage.
Like, if you fall asleep in that position and don't move,
that you would wake up with, I guess, your legs being dead.
I mean, I guess that's probably true, but how would that happen?
Like, well, I think it's dangerous because when you're not drunk, you wake up from that because you've, you lose all the feelings in your legs.
When you're not drunk, you wake up from that. But when you're, when you're so beved up and you've just passed out that way, sometimes you just wake up the next day and your legs are gone.
What up gone, but like, done for it. You better, in that case, you better hope the apennie kills you before you'll leave your legs.
That circles, though, on another kind of thing that we, we, we talk.
talked about yesterday that stories that like you have never considered the absurdity of them or
the statements and then when you're reciting them back to somebody and they don't know what you're
talking about you feel like a crazy person and like did I make this up is this real because what
I'm saying is insane Eric Nick are you too familiar with the lost world arcade cabinet
the lost world the Jurassic Park one uh the like in game the arcade cabinet yeah where you like
sit in the Jeep, it's like a seat that you sit in.
It's like, it's like dinosaurs. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's the Jeep and the curtain and all that stuff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Okay, yeah.
Yeah, but the older one, not the new one.
Like the original one.
By saying, oh yeah, the one with the dinosaurs.
Well, it's the, uh, I was thinking of the dinosaurs, like,
yeah, guys, do you know about the one?
Have you guys played the one without the dinosaurs?
It fucking sucks. It's so bad.
It's just like, what's the point of this?
They can't find them.
Yeah, you're just, you're, you're in, you're in the lost world.
All the dinosaurs are lost.
What's the,
point of this. You just keep looking around. Yikes. That is, I do remember this with the,
yeah, like the curtain that you pull is the thing that I remember the most. I don't know if
I ever had a curtain one. I just remember, it looks like the back of a Jeep essentially that you
sit in and then the screens in front. I was talking about a sequence in that game because I played
that game all the time as a kid. I loved it. It was maybe House of the Dead one and that were
probably my favorite light gun games growing up. And I was explaining to Jeff and Gavin who had no
familiarity with this, that there's a sequence in that game in which you have to shoot the dinosaur
poop so you don't crash the car. Oh yeah. That there's a dinosaur that's shitting and you have to
shoot it within a time limit, the poop to break it up or else it'll like cover your windshield.
And they both had no idea what I was talking about. And I never considered the absurdity of the
scenario. It's just like a thing that you experience in the game, which made me doubt that I had
ever experienced this. And it's not just the thing that I like dreamt or made up at some point.
in my head or just like I'm misremembering type thing.
Do either of you remember that sequence at all?
No.
I do.
I remember that very well.
Really? You do?
It's one of the long necks.
You got to shoot it before the poop wipes up the screen and gets you hurt.
Gavin, it's one of the long necks.
It's a long neck.
I don't remember which one.
It is the long neck.
It's a long neck dinosaur.
Do the long necks take longer dumps in the game?
Oh, they massive dumps.
They're big.
I went through after we talked about it.
I found a play through of it on YouTube.
And I am so happy to verify that this is not an insane thing that I miss remember.
It was a long neck.
Whoa.
That's a long neck.
And you have to shoot the poop.
And if you don't shoot it well enough, you crash your Jeep and have to go through another
fight sequence on foot.
So is it shitting at you or shitting on the path that you're going on?
It's just shitting in the path that you're going on.
So if you break up the poop enough, it doesn't cover the windshe or.
you make it, you're fine.
If you fail, it covers,
you crash and flip the car over
and then have to do a sequence on foot.
Which is what we were talking about
at large in general,
how they're in arcade games,
there are video game mechanics
that don't exist outside of arcade games.
Yes, I was saying one of my favorite mechanics
in an arcade, especially a light gun game,
is when there's somebody that you can save,
and if you save them, you get like extra health.
Like there's a timed window of like,
I need help,
and then you have to shoot the people around them to save them.
And that doesn't really exist in console games.
I can think of an example of one.
If you do a certain part well, you get to go through the level easier,
but if you miss a certain number of shots,
you have to do the harder path.
Like, we have to get off the,
you have to get out of the Jeep and walk
because you got covered in dinosaur shit.
So when you were playing this and shooting the longneck shit,
if you crash the car,
would you step outside of the seat for full immersion
as if you're out of the jeep?
I wouldn't even play with that, Gavin, because the concept, like, the design philosophy of that is you're risking having to spend more quarters to continue your play-through.
All right.
A new season of immersion, we produce it.
Andrew plays that game, but we throw real elephant shit out of how he plays.
Real elephant shit?
That's the closest I can get the dinosaurs.
It sounds terrible.
Wouldn't it be like giraffe shit, though, because it's long necks.
Oh, that's true.
We gotta get our hands on some draft shit.
And then we'll see how well
Andrew can navigate while dodging real
and video game shit.
Oh, God.
Do you think all the stuff we've learned
about dinosaurs since Jurassic Park,
how most of them had feathers
and were quite colorful and stuff?
What if they just shit like birds?
What if it was all like bird shit?
Oh, no.
I don't even want to think about that.
Or like, just white goop.
Yeah, like piss shit combos.
The end of Oak Street had
feathered dinosaurs.
Do you think we're in a feathered dinosaurs?
era now? Do you think like going forward
all dinosaur fiction will have them feathered
as opposed to like Jurassic Park style?
I think the science dictates it.
Interesting. Or are you going to say Jeff, sorry?
I was just going to say it would suck if
taradactyls were real, kind of like in the new Jurassic Park
movies where they exist and just are out in the wild.
Could you imagine getting shit on by a taradactyl?
Oh my God.
That would be like a fifth.
That'd be like the bit barrel shitting on you.
There would be nothing more.
more upsetting than being shit on by a
teradactyl as it's flying away with you.
Dude.
It needs to lose some of the weight
because it's added you. I bet you get hit
with such volume and force that you immediately
go to the ground. Like I bet you get
splatted hard.
If you got shot off a
terectal's hands and it had to recatch you.
That's how you got
saved. Nobody
wants to hang out with you for the rest of the
escape plan?
Maybe we should make an accurate
bag of goo
to simulate a teradactal
shit based on what we've learned about their stomach
size and intestines. I hate
everything you've said.
No, this is a kind of word
not worse. This is kind of lab I could
get behind. Yeah, then we'll spin a wheel and see
who takes it.
Take the turd.
Hmm.
Andrew's
out.
Unless it's a guaranteed limbo scenario in which is just you, then I'm fully upboard.
I'll do it.
I'll do it.
If Gavin will do it.
We get to put goggles on.
We stand in the shower.
A person gets a bucket and they get a, that's, you just get whacked with it.
Yeah.
Let's do this.
Yeah.
I'm imagining like a thin sandwich bag of goo that just gets palmed at you.
Yeah.
Based on, we'll figure out how big a pterodactal was, how much they weighed, how much they ate.
This is all got to be available online.
And then we can just surmise based on other.
living animals in their sizes. I'm sure we could figure this out. If we could figure out the center
of the regulation universe. As a matter of fact, Millie did that and she's home right now from school,
so I'll just have her to it. Perfect. Done. Problem solved. Easy.
Do you imagine if she went to college in the center of the regulation universe, if just like
coincidentally? It all led to that moment? In deputy or the Titanic? In the ocean?
Deputy. We'll do the deputy.
I'm when we visited deputy I missed the college but I'd love to see it.
No, you found the dog and that's really I think that yeah the dog's a professor so yeah it's kind of just all it is.
The last recent note I have just to the power through my last since we last recorded
I played through I don't want to see what the game is I don't want to tip it off but we did a
we have GTA 6 at home part three and I had so much fun I spent my weekend playing through that game
and I beat it.
And I experienced one of the dumbest video game bugs
I've ever experienced in any game that was so frustrating
and required me to restart the whole mission,
which was like a 30 minute long mission.
It was at the very end of the game.
You play as this character
and you're supposed to chase down a vehicle
and you have to follow them a long time
and eventually you take over the vehicle,
but it's like a scripted sequence that you're supposed to do.
I failed about, I'd say, 80% of the way through following the vehicle, not really understanding the objective, because it wasn't clear.
I died, it restarts, it loads me back in, but I am not in my car.
I am in the enemy's car. I am controlling their vehicle.
What?
It spawned me in the enemy van that I was supposed to be following.
And if I drove in the direction that I guessed it was supposed to go, it would fail the mission
because the car got away.
And I could not get out of that.
I tried so many different things.
I tried to activate different scenarios.
But I've never, in all of my years, playing video games,
had a bug in which it spawned me in as essentially the final boss.
Like, I had full control of the thing.
Did you record it?
No, I did not, because it's not,
there was, like, nothing eventful about it.
There was nothing that was, like, all that visually different.
The car was very generic.
you couldn't really see the people in it.
I guess the only kind of unique thing
was I got out of the car
and it looked like who was supposed to be the driver
was just standing to the side
stuck in like a cement barrier type thing.
But I was so mad.
Like I couldn't.
I was like, I have to try to remember.
I first thought I'm going to have to remember
the path in which this car took,
which would be impossible.
It's such a long drive.
But I couldn't because I kept saying
that the vehicle got away
that I was actually driving.
Terrible.
so dumb.
Could you see you anywhere?
Like the original you?
Yeah, but I was me.
I was never not me.
It just like moved the driver, spawn me in the driver's seat of the thing, but if I got
out of the car, I was just me.
And I could get back in as me, but it didn't like duplicate me.
It just removed the driver of the vehicle and then got confused as to what my starting
car should be and made the starting car the vehicle I was supposed to be chasing.
So your car was nowhere around
What?
No, I had no car.
If anything, it despawned the car, it'd despawn the driver.
Do you think
when they were making that game,
they saw that happen and got the idea
for driver San Francisco?
Oh, it could have been.
Were any of the license plates,
driver San Francisco?
What a dumb game.
I'm so excited for that video to come out.
Great game.
I played that, and then I played X-Men Origins Wolverine.
That was my whole weekend,
just on the 360.
That's awesome.
What did you think of that?
It's a great game.
Great game.
My walk away from both the game that for GTA 6 at home and X-Men Origins Wolverine,
that a 6 in the 360 era with updated graphics and like modern UI and just sort of gameplay
conveniences is an 8.
If you release those games now, I think they're an 8 out of 10 as opposed to like a 6 out of 10
in the era in which they released fun games.
So that better now than they were then?
I think so.
I think because at the time there's such a saturation of those style games and those games don't really exist in this year.
So if they were to update them, I think they would review better now with all of the same parts just if it looked nicer and had like better checkpointing and kind of systems that people expect as like general quality of life features.
It's fun.
It's a fun time.
It's an interesting era to go back to as far as games go.
When we were kids, summer meant freedom.
No homework, no teachers, no school.
As adults, we can still schedule hooky days whenever we want,
but summer still means freedom.

How are you guys?
Good.
I have four quick things
if you want to have a game for Gavin,
a challenge for Andrew,
an embarrassing story about me.
And then a bit of news for the audience.
But nothing for Nick?
Nothing for Nick or Eric.
Do we know
the news? We don't need anything for me, but
like, we could, we could figure out. Can it be news
for Nick? Can it be Nick News?
Whoa! Well, we do, I mean, the, the
news could. You just see us. We haven't.
We haven't, yes. Thank you. Thanks, man.
I was trying to figure out how to, I was trying to figure out how to address this.
And I think the best way to address it, and then if we decide that this wasn't
appropriate, we can cut it. It's just to say,
uh, the idol has been played and it will be shown in an upcoming piece of content.
Ooh.
I think we leave it at that.
Yeah.
And then I will say that the new idol has not,
would already be back in rotation,
but an idea was hatched
for an evolution with the new idol
that's going to take a little time to figure out.
And once that is determined,
then the idol be put back in play
and you guys will be made aware of it.
But there will be some modifications
to how it plays in the future.
Exciting.
Interesting.
All right.
That was the news.
Now you can get a challenge for Andrew,
a game for Gavin.
or an embarrassing story. Game for Gavin.
So it was Nick News.
It was Nick News.
Gavin.
This is it game for you because I think you're the only person that knows this person.
I went to a coffee shop this morning to prepare for the podcast.
It's kind of my new routine, you know, in the new neighborhood and everything.
And it's always dead-ass empty at this coffee shop.
It's what I like about it in the morning.
I'm very often like one of like, it's like me and like a lady with a dog and like two dudes having some sort of a business meeting.
this morning there were
75 people there
when I got there
all milling about
in various business attire
with giant name tags
on their breastplates
or on their chest
and I was like
ah fuck it looked like
they were all in line
and I was about to turn around
and leave
and then I thought
let me just see if they're actually
in line or if they're just
standing around talking
and I just went around
and I was able to go right up
and buy my coffee
and it was that thing
where everybody that you walked by
looked at you looked at your chest
saw that you didn't have
a name tag and went
okay I don't have to pay attention
of that guy and kept walking, you know, which was weird anyway, because I did not look like them.
They shouldn't have had to talk to me anyway. But as I'm navigating through there, I saw somebody
that Gavin and I know. And they didn't see me. And I'm incredibly socially awkward, as we know,
and it's only gotten worse as I've gotten older. And I saw this as an opportunity not to talk
to this person. So I went to the other side of the coffee shop and made sure that I was as far away
from them at all times as possible. Not because, and this is the irony of it.
at all. I like this person. I have no issue
with this person. I've never had anything but
pleasant interaction with this person. But I haven't
spoken to this person in a few years
and it just didn't feel like the day I wanted
to. I was, you know, I have regulation on the brain.
I'm trying to focus on that. I don't want to have
a play catch up with a person I haven't seen in 12
years, 15 years, whatever it is.
But I was going to go and then tell you guys
the story and then I realized, well, most of them don't even know
who this person is. Gavin would be the only one. And then I
thought it'd be more fun to see if Gavin
can guess who the person is. So
in this game, Gavin, I'm going to tell
dangerous game. I'm going to tell you, this is a person that was in the rooster teeth periphery at some
point in the past, who I don't know was ever directly employed by rooster teeth, but we definitely
worked with and around this person. And apparently, they live in Austin and work at a company that
requires name tags. I will give you no other hints than that. But from this point on, if you can
figure out who that person is, I'll say yes. Jack Patillo.
So you haven't spoken to them or seen them in 12 years?
10, 12, 15, I don't know.
I'm an unreliable narrator on that.
I'm an unreliable narrator.
It's possible.
It was five years ago.
It's possible it was 15.
I don't know.
Do you think there's any chance they listen to this podcast?
Don't know.
Don't care.
I don't think this person's going to be upset that I didn't, that I avoided them because I am awkward.
I think that they would acknowledge and I don't think that they would be offended by that.
And I think that they would understand that I wasn't being rude.
I was just trying to stay in.
I was just trying to focus on regulation.
It's a clue, potentially, Gavin.
Gavin made a guess.
I don't know if you heard it, Jeff.
No, I'm sorry, who is the guess?
Flash.
Aaron.
No, but that's a great guess.
That's a really good guess.
I do know.
You've nailed, I'll say, I'll give you one piece of, one further hint.
You've nailed the era.
Okay.
Oh, God, now I'm just thinking of it.
It doesn't have to be today.
You know, I mean, it doesn't have to be in this moment.
This could be a long-running bit.
Maybe I'll try and guess once per episode.
Yeah, there you go.
All right.
So your guess, this one was Aaron, Flash 2000, very close to the time frame.
Does Gavin lose the game if the person actually listens and comments that they were the person?
Yeah, maybe if the person guesses themselves before I guess them, then I lose.
If we hear from that person in any way before this, then yeah, you lose.
But I can't imagine that would happen.
Okay.
And once again, this is a person I like.
It's not a person I was avoiding because I don't like them.
I don't want anybody to think that.
It was just, if I know you and I see you in public, chances are I'm going to avoid you.
And that includes Gus.
It includes probably everybody but Gavin, honestly.
So don't take it personally.
Appreciate it.
And Eric.
And Nick.
Those are the present company excluded.
Anybody else, though.
You imagine how sad it would be if we got to the point.
when we were both in the same
same store.
We just pretended not to see each other.
Didn't you and Nick do that?
Was that a whole thing?
Well, apparently.
It could have been at an REI, potentially.
Potentially.
It was.
All right.
The game for Andrew,
or the challenge for Andrew,
I have, is I was getting hyped up this morning
reading some NBA news,
and then I realized that the NBA and the NHL
are about to start.
I was kind of lamenting
that we don't have a game to play
post-summer movie game.
Because I had so much fun this summer
with the summer movie thing.
And then we had so much fun
with the kicker-picker a few years ago.
And I was wondering,
I challenge you,
because I wasn't able to get there,
but maybe we can work on it together
and maybe not this year
for down the road.
The NHL and the NBA start
at the same time.
NBA is...
NBA starts two weeks later,
I think, than the NHGEL.
Okay, I was going to say.
But they're all,
they're like on top of each other.
They're like two to three weeks apart,
depending on the season.
Yeah.
And so the NBA is an 82 game season.
The NHL is now an 84 game season,
but it used to be an 82 game season.
And they run in parallel.
There's got to be somewhere where we could create a game
where we pick NHL teams and NBA teams
and pit them against each other
because the records could be identical
or figure out a way where we do a draft
where each person gets an NBA and an NHL team
and then at the end we see who has the best.
There's some kind of game there that pits the sports
against each other
or combines them into something.
I just,
I don't know what it is.
My immediate thought is city picker
and mainly because city picker
repicker is a really funny idea
in my head as far as the title.
Yeah, yeah.
It's like a list of cities
that have both an NHL and NBA team.
Yes.
Maybe it's like wins and losses or something.
Something like a stat that's super easy to track
that is not.
I like that idea.
I think city picker sounds fantastic.
Then you're picking a town.
I like that idea a lot.
Maybe we'll talk with that in the off podcast.
I like that idea.
I went to the grocery store yesterday to buy some marinated chicken to grill for dinner.
Oh, no.
Here's my embarrassing story.
I'm hard to embarrass.
Usually takes me to embarrass myself.
And unfortunately, I did it yesterday at the meat counter.
So I go up to the meat counter and I ask the guy for two Chipotle lime marinated chicken breasts.
And he hands them to me, which is all, you know, he packages them up, weighs him or whatever.
And he gives them to me.
and he says,
here you go.
And I said,
no problem.
And then I turned around.
And I went,
what the fuck?
What the fuck?
No, what the?
Did I just,
what,
where did that come from?
And I was frozen in place.
No problem.
But here's where it gets worse.
I realized that wasn't walking away.
I was just like so shocked at that
because that's like so weird.
so off, you know.
It wasn't like a U-2 or something like that, you know.
It was no problem.
Like, I had done something for him, right?
By buying his chicken.
It just made no sense.
And I was horrified.
But where it gets bad is, I realized I had my headphones in because I was listening to
music.
So I was screaming.
Like the whole, I was twice as loud as I thought I was because the whole interaction,
I had music going in the background.
You know, I'm listening to like funeral horse or something.
And then I'm standing still having this realization that I'm yelling.
mid-sentence while he's three feet behind me, I know, looking at me. Because I haven't gone
anywhere. I've just turned 180 degrees and then just started yelling out loud to myself. And then
so I just like, I didn't know what to do. So I just put my head down and I just shuffled
away. And I never looked behind me. That's why, because you don't work in any situation where
you are like customer facing. I'm going to have to say no problem very often. No. I don't
where it came from. Do you think
that this interaction
influenced you're not wanting to talk
to the person in the coffee shop? Because you just feel a little
rattled right now. Great question.
You think like on a deep, just like
on an instinctual level, you're like,
I'm, my game's off a little bit, maybe.
We are less than 24
hours between those two events. There could
be something. There really
could be something there. That's
interesting, Andrew. You've
peeled down a layer of an onion.
If you want to resolve this, my immediate thought is
that curb your enthusiasm episode where Richard Lewis calls somebody honey too early in their opinion.
So then he just has to become a honey guy and it just starts calling everybody honey.
You just have to say no problem every time to this guy.
So it wasn't a mistake.
You're just a no problem guy, even if it doesn't make sense.
No, I appreciate that.
This is not a grocery store I go to all the time.
I wasn't near home at the moment that I did it.
So I can easily avoid ever seeing this man again for the rest of my life.
It's especially ironic that your use of no problem caused big problem for you.
Yeah, yeah.
Here you go.
No problem.
Like in his face.
Like I saw his face start to turn as I was spinning away.
You know, so he definitely clocked it.
And even he, and I could see him like going like, what the fuck was that?
And I, ugh.
So he actually, did you feel like he reacted to it or did he just?
Yeah, he was starting to react to it, I think.
Just on his face, like I could see his facial expression start to react as I was pivoting, you know?
It all happens so fast.
I just feel like it's such a generic saying that I was going to suggest just keep saying it to people in every situation until someone reacts.
But I guess it was already happened.
I think it was happening.
It was already happening.
Yeah.
And I was, I was experiencing, you guys ever heard a firsthand embarrassment?
That was me.
Yeah.
Is there a scenario?
First hand.
an embarrassment.
Which you do this, like that works the worst to you?
As far as like saying the wrong thing is like an auto reply, is there a scenario that
you find yourself doing it more frequently in that especially pains you?
I don't do it often.
And that's what makes it horrible that I did it at all.
But that not only that I did it, that usually if I do it, it's always a like you two.
Yes.
That's exactly.
I always say you do.
But it's like scenario based.
So for me, my you two, like if somebody says enjoy your meal,
and I say you too for some reason
that is less embarrassing to me
than like if I went to the theater
and they said enjoy your show and I said
you too. To me that was always the worst.
I felt the dumbest in that scenario.
Thanks for coming. You too.
Yeah, that sucks. Yeah.
We appreciate your business. You too.
Yeah. Oh man.
It'd be interesting to talk to somebody
who has one of those roles
to see how often they encounter that per day.
I imagine it's tons. I imagine
And it's in the double digits every day.
If you're in a forward facing, interacting with customers' role in which you're exchanging good and you wish them something.
I don't remember it happening that often when I was like, you know, working at Target or whatever.
There would be like a couple that would happen.
And you just go, okay.
And that would be it.
But it wasn't like a bunch every day.
Interesting.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, that was my attempt to make Jeff feel better.
We just shot that down.
No, yeah.
Sorry.
I just, I will say that every time it happened, it's super memorable.
I never forget the person who did it.
And if I ever see him again, I make fun of them to their face.
So, you know, I think one of two things is going on here.
I think either age is getting to me.
You know, I've read that you don't start to experience cognitive decline until 58.
But, you know, I didn't do the cleanest, I didn't do the cleanest living.
And so I could be, yeah, I could be, I'm saying, not you just be clear.
I could be a couple years ahead of the curve
thanks to a couple years
maybe a couple of the heaviest alcohol years
we'll see
so I think it could be just that
or I'm wondering if
because I've also read that if people with undiagnosed
ADD and ADHD
some of us who have been diagnosed
but whose mom said they didn't believe in it
and that I just had to run more
apparently it could get worse with age
and I'm starting to wonder because I'm having a real hard time
focusing, like, in all things lately.
Like, even in this podcast sometimes, I have trouble.
And I'm wondering if maybe I'm just getting worse with that, that thing.
I don't know.
So I'm, I'm, uh.
Could you imagine if Jeff gets medicated now and like, like, just becomes like a
like a total, like, he starts wearing like khakis and a button up shirt?
Like, he just gets like really, like very good at taxes and stuff.
Like, that would be cool.
I had a, I have a friend who's my exact age.
and he I saw him recently and he told me that he had gotten on ADD medicine and it changed his life and so I'm thinking fuck
because I'm getting real dumb and or I don't know if it's dumb or just I just cannot focus like I was grilling yesterday or yeah that chicken I was grilling
and uh I had it like I had I had thermometers in it and it's done at 165 and I was looking at it and I had you know been working on it for like 45 minutes getting it ready and prepped and heat the grill
up and get it all together and then flip it and you know you're like focused on it the whole time
and uh and it was like 155 and i was like okay cool it'll be done in like three minutes i walked into
my office saw something i moved that was out of place and then the next thing i knew i was i was
i had been 15 minutes and i had been reorganizing my office and i went chicken and i ran over
and it was like 180 it was fine it was the chicken still tasted fine but i just lost the chicken in
there after spending like 45 minutes working on it and i never used to you
used to do shit like that. And that's happening to me
daily now. It's really
it's weird. I want to
get you so medicated, dude.
I want you to be like, oh, God, that would be so cool.
I don't know if medicine will do it or if it's just
this is the way things are going forward. God, damn, it's an annoying.
That's like saying that you want to get rid of Jeff, though.
Yeah, I don't know, no, no, I don't want to get rid of Jeff.
I want to see the next, like, the evolution of Jeff.
I want to see what, I want to see what Jeff could be
reaching his full intellectual potential.
If we were all at full intellectual potential,
we wouldn't be doing this for a living.
His podcast would be over.
No, I think this is me at the peak.
This is what I got, unfortunately.
We talked about, on the Wolverine stream or whatever,
we talked about re-specking or whatever,
like, what would you put all your points into?
And I was, like, begging for intelligence.
It's like, please, like, let me be smarter.
this can't be it
all Gavin and I wanted was more lucked
What I'm
Especially curious about Jeff
Is your mom listened to this podcast
Yeah
There is blowback when you told the story about
The garage door
Do you expect more or less blowback on the on the ADHD
No I don't I don't expect any blowback
Because it's a true story
I got my mom took me I was disruptive
I want to say third grade
I was being disruptive in class
Let's be honest I was
disruptive in class from pretty much day one from first day of class.
Yeah, very believable.
And we went to the doctor, I remember, and the doctor said I had ADD and he wanted to medicate
me. And my mom was like, it was early 80s. You know, this is probably like 83, 84. And it wasn't
as commonplace as it is now. This was my, it was a much different time, right? This is not an
indictment on my mother. And my mom was like, I don't know if I want to put my kid on pills.
Maybe he just needs more exercise. He just needs to run it off. So she went to the teacher and the
principal and they worked out an arrangement where as soon as I would finish.
my work in class, I would start to become disruptive. I would start to annoy the other kids
at my amusement. And so when I would get to that point, the teacher and the principal and my
mom worked it out that I could go outside and I could run the track until I felt like I had all the
annoying run out of me. And then I could come back into class and continue with the day. And that's
what I did for most of grade school. Funny. I ran most of grade school. And that's how I,
and that's how we dealt with it. And then I just, I just went away, forgot about it, you know.
never really thought about it again.
This is a really
a funny story of like being
disruptive of we're playing a game that we
can't give any opinion
on currently that won't be out.
We'll have a video out shortly after
this podcast airs. We're playing
it and Jeff yesterday
was trying to just force
us to get teleported to him by
like running in other directions.
I was the party leader and I found out that
if they get too far ahead of me
and I go backwards a little bit, they get pulled back
me so I was just trying to see how far I could keep them from it.
That was great.
It's really good.
Very disorienting at times, but the entire time of you be like talking about me disruptive
to the class for your amusement, it's all I could think about was literally yesterday.
You fucking with us for your own amusement.
I only saw you guys in boss fights when we had to be like together when the game put us together.
I was as far away from it.
It was like when you're a kid and you go to the mall or the department store with your mom,
The second you walk in, she goes right, you a book it left to get as far away from her as possible.
I prefer to campaign evolved when you walked a saw back, but also it killed you.
That was incredible.
That was some bullshit. That was some fucking bullshit.
That was great.
And it wasn't like a weapon got transferred, like a bullet or something.
He just died, right?
Like it was just being false.
Full shields to dead.
Oh, man.
That's so funny.
With Export Development Canada, Canadian businesses are competing, leading, and winning in more international markets.
Like how agri-food businesses are strengthening global food supply, and critical minerals are powering industries of the future.
Their ambition can't be contained.
And with EDC behind them, neither can their growth.
Export Development Canada is the financial partner for Canadian businesses going global.

So we did that,
I don't know if we talked about it on the show,
but we did the You're Dead,
your Bodyguard stream.
It was a five-hour thing.
And learn during the process of it
that that achievement doesn't work at all
like it is described to work.
So it is completely evolved
into a different process.
Equally fun game.
Just different game.
If anybody dies, nobody gets credit.
So it's the, we're all locked in.
It's now you dead, you dollar.
Or if you die, you owe a dollar to the freezer.
We talked about it
on the last episode, but update.
Jeff owed the freezer money,
but now the money is in there.
He put it in his coins.
So now there's freezing cold coins inside the freezer.
Yeah, but I put it in a plastic Ziploc bag.
How many coins, Jeff?
It was like four quarters probably.
I don't know.
Oh, okay.
I asked Emily for a dollar and she gave me that.
And so I didn't bother verifying it's actually a dollar.
I trust her.
Does it have to be currency in the form of currency
or could it be a thing valued at the dollar?
Like an IOU?
No, not like an IOU, but like, let's say if you...
If you got like a type of metal that you couldn't exchange directly,
like you couldn't go to a store and buy a soda with it,
but it is worth a dollar.
So like if you put a dollar's worth of tungsten in the freezer?
Yeah, like that type of thing.
Cup of pipe or something?
Yeah, I think that's an interesting idea to explore with metal.
Jeff, I thought you're, I thought your baseball
card analogy did the job pretty well.
That's okay.
Tungsten works too.
I'm thinking metals. I'm not thinking
goods. I don't want, I'm not ever
going to open this freezer, but like,
Jeff would be disgusted if there was like a
Pikachu in there, I imagine. I'm trying to think
if you could even see a dollar's
worth of tungsten. How
big is that? Like a crumb?
Well, what's the biggest metal?
Okay, well, maybe let me
rephrase this question because I feel like there's
a lot of...
Let me write that down so I don't forget.
Iron biggest metal.
Is there a metal that would be comedically large
that would still fit in the freezer
but would only be worth $1?
Yeah, like what's the cheapest metal?
Yeah, like what's the cheapest metal
that could practically be worth a dollar
but like is not the size of the fridge.
I feel like if you filled our freezer
with entirely metal, it would collapse into the fridge.
Oh, definitely.
But I'm thinking like shivers.
You know how like they would shiver coins
In the old days like
Slivers
Slivers not shivers
Slivers I got my Ivers
I got my S-Ivers
I was immediately thinking like oh maybe like shivom me timbers
Mean something
Shiver me timbers
I thought maybe it's like a process
I love pirates
But no I just I got my S-Ivers wrong
Like my like timbers
Timbers is pockets back in the old days
And shiver me
It's like
Coimmy pockets
And I didn't have a heavy dream
drinking period, Jeff. This is just every day with me.
This is how it came out.
I like, I like coin me pockets. That's, that's great.
I just, I think we could sliver some metals.
Think about it. Like toothpick sized metals.
Like toothpick size of metals. Like how they used to like clip coins.
I would look up what the cheapest metal is, but my mouse just died and so I can't.
Oh, no.
You're never going to be able to stop recording.
battery, I'm charging it.
It'll be good. We'll be good by the time we stop.
Cheapest metal, iron
and steel.
Yeah, it looks like iron, carbon steel, aluminum.
How much, how heavy is a dollar's worth
of carbon steel?
Hmm.
We've got more aluminum than iron.
I would love to know.
Because you see those videos sometimes
on like social media of like jewelry
store people being like this is a thing filled with coins. Guess how much this is worth? The idea of
somebody having to guess the worth based on the weight of the metal is way funnier. Just giving people
a backpack filled with metal of a certain weight and then them having the guess the value of the
thing. If it's worth like $2 but it's 50 pounds of metal. That'd be a good showcase showdown for
prices, right? Are you still on that? You guys still watching that? Oh, fuck yeah, dude. I'm still
I'm still in the Bob Barker era.
Absolutely.
The concept, Jeff,
that you're watching so much Price is Right
that you expect to go out of the Bob Barker era
after you're starting in that era.
It's kind of terrifying.
I imagine there are thousands of Bob Barker
Price's Right episode.
The reason it's,
I call it the Bob Barker era
is when you watch the channel on Tooby,
the channel is literally called
Price's Right, the Bob Barker era.
Oh, I see.
And it's only Bob Barker Price's Rights.
And you're right about that.
I think he did somewhere around
6,000 episodes, I want to say.
That's insane.
Yeah. It's a bunch.
If you could get given as much
gold as you wanted,
but you had to keep it as a
Prince Albert, how much would you take?
Wow. Wow.
None?
Yeah. I think I'd go in gold list.
I'd go with, yeah, I'd go
zero probably. I'd also like to point out,
because there's going to be no way the audience could know
this, and the rest of the guys either, maybe.
This is the second Prince Albert reference Gavin's made in less than 24 hours, which has got me wondering
What is Prince Albert?
What you've got? Why are we so heavy on Prince Albert?
Check out some pictures real quick. Let us know.
Yeah, Andrew.
Yeah, look it up. Look it up. It came up in gears because we're talking about piercings, I think. And I was just, it's a cock ring, in it? It goes through your cock-ho.
Cocker. You're head of appeals. Yes. You said it, and I just assumed it was something else.
Interesting. What did you think it was?
It changes that conversation
we were having yesterday a little bit.
Just like an earring type thing.
It is like an earring type thing.
Yeah.
It's just not for your ear.
Yeah, I just didn't
the specific area in which it would be used.
Hey, we, by the way,
I think it's gone unnoticed,
kind of flown under the radar,
but there's a huge milestone
has just happened with regulation
or is in the process of happening.
And I don't have my mouse to show you guys,
but there was a Reddit post recently.
I don't know if anybody saw it.
There's a place called Sweetberry Farms
in Marble,
Marble Falls, Texas.
Yeah.
Great place.
Very cool.
Yeah.
Nick, you've been there.
Well, get ready because we're all going to go on a road trip there pretty soon.
Because I would love to share the Reddit post in the Discord.
But thank you, Eric.
They have announced that they are dedicating a park bench to us.
And they have a plaque.
What?
Are you serious?
The plaque in Reddit.
Yes.
This is our first official parchment plaque.
There you go right there.
No scrumping allowed.
Once October starts, our grill will be open where we'll have hot.
Dogs and farm-made ice cream made with our very own strawberries.
I invite regulation listeners to come on buy and try.
This is from K-G-L-O-N-1.
Holy shit.
So Sweetberry Farms in Marvel Fall, Texas.
And they have a plaque that says dedicated to the regulation podcast, no scrumping allowed,
pay before you eat.
And that's going to be on a bench.
We got to go sit on it.
Yeah, we got to go sit down to do a photo shoot with it, the whole thing.
Yeah, I'm so excited.
Maybe we'll leave a ball there.
Like, this is awesome.
How far away is that?
Like an hour?
30, 40 minutes?
Yeah, not far.
Maybe 45 to an hour.
Yeah, it's like not crazy.
Love it.
It's not out of town.
Thank you.
It's such a funny statement to say, or we got to sit on it.
Thank you people of sweetberry farms.
Yeah.
Thank you so much.
That's amazing.
I was hoping we'd get lucky enough to make it into a video game bench, but a real life bench is way better.
Pretty cool.
Hopefully the first of many.
I never considered a video game bench.
Andrew, how far.
How far from Vancouver Island would you go to sit on a bench?
Depends on the view.
It does?
Yeah.
That is the best fucking response anyone could have ever come up with.
What type of view we're dealing with here?
It's a slightly distant view of a woman squatting over a puddle.
I'm not leaving. I'm not leaving the house.
I'm not leaving.
I realized I said I'm not leaving in the...
I'm not leaving the house.
of I'm not leaving the house
and then immediately panic that I was saying
I'm not leaving the bench. This is my home.
I live there now. If you knew
that there was a woman pissing outside
your window now
and all you had to do was turn your head
to glance it, would... You wouldn't even look?
No, absolutely not.
He's reformed. He's a different man
there. And it's the same
man I would like to think in a lot of ways
but I didn't want to see it the first time.
The goal
was not... I don't think.
You could tell me that someone was pissing outside right now.
I don't think I could physically not just glance it.
Well, when the people around you decide to make it part of your identity for the next six years, maybe your opinion would change.
I don't think you're factoring in.
Yeah, Nick, any thoughts on that?
Nope.
Well, there you go.
You had your chance.
Yeah.
Do you guys watch Survivor last night?
New Season Survivor started.
No.
It was a pretty good one.
That's good.
That reminds me, actually.
I need to text Shane back.
I got a text from Shane last night saying that he was at a watch party and four different
regulation fans walked up to him and said hi.
That's crazy.
Yeah, it's awesome.
Did you enjoy it?
You said it was a good episode?
I liked it.
Yeah, I liked it a lot.
It was a fun tribal council.
They brought Exile Island back, which I thought was cool.
They allowed the...
They left...
Jeff Brusses to be giving us.
a lot of blowback online for it.
I've been watching it's kind of funny.
He had a moment where he was like,
I'm gonna give you guys an opportunity
at the very beginning.
There's like 20 contestants or whatever.
He's like, do you guys want to do you guys want to do fire
in tribal council or not?
And they're like, uh-huh.
He goes, well, I'm gonna let you vote.
If all 20 of you vote, we won't do fire.
We'll just, we'll do away with the season.
And like five people voted to do it.
And he was like, okay, cool.
So now when all the people
who come up to me at restaurants and tell me
that making fire is ruining Survivor,
I can say I gave him the opportunity and they said no.
So many people online are mad at him about that.
They're like, those really are called for by Jeff.
That was really out of school.
That was really out of line for him to say that.
But yeah, I thought it was fun and funny and good.
And Exile Island is cool to see back again.
And yeah, I don't know.
Survivor.
The last time I tried to watch Survivor,
I got so angry that I just need to take a break for a while.
Where I've been out of it a little bit.
It is not the show that I fell in love with.
And that's okay.
Like, they're making a show
that is entertaining
in its own way.
It's just not what I was really into
for 40 seasons and Jeff Probst is making
a show he wants to make.
He has every right to do that.
But I hadn't watched any of a specific season
and it just lined up that I was in the perfect position
to watch it amongst other things.
It was, I was watching something else
and I was like, oh, Survivor's on.
I have a commercial break.
Let me throw it on and see if it's something
that will interest me.
And maybe I'll just watch that for the rest of the evening.
and I flipped over and was the very beginning of the segment in which they had like a country singer on to talk about how much he liked Survivor.
And then it was five minutes of him spearfishing and talking about spearfishing and how much he like spearfishing.
And then them listening to him sing and talk about how good of a singer he was.
And I was just so mad watching it being like, I get five minutes of the show and this is all I'm getting.
That happened three times last season.
Yeah, it was him, Billy Eilish and, uh,
Mr. Beast.
They're like, he's such a great voice.
And he was unforgivably lame.
It was terrible.
And he spearfishes and then he cooks the fish for them.
And it's so fucking,
it's like he spearfish,
but it was like a fake spearfishing thing too.
Where I saw people took screenshots of like,
they had waded the fish down.
Yeah.
Of course it's fake.
Of course it's fake.
utter bullshit.
Was it like when Ed Sharon was in Game of Thrones?
Yeah.
Same kind of.
Like Aaron Rogers?
or backstreet boys in Star Wars.
Selection of cameos.
That'd actually be an interesting comparable.
What has a weirder set of cameo appearances?
Scarface the video game or Game of Thrones, the TV show?
Like, I feel like all of the weird, like,
dialogue-less bodyguards for Game of Thrones shows were so strange.
I will say they, uh, the fucking,
the worst of all of them was definitely the Mr. Beast one,
but the mechanic that he introduced to the game last season they're keeping.
a really cool way where he introduced a coin flip where at some point in tribal council one person
has the opportunity to flip a coin and if they correctly guess what it is they'll add a million
dollars to the pot but if he gets it wrong that person immediately goes home and they're going to
say if he gets it wrong they immediately go a million dollars in debt so they really have to win the
million at the end of the season so the way it works is if they get it wrong they immediately get voted
out, tribal council's over. If they get it right, then a million dollars is added to the pot,
and then they just have a normal tribal council. And I think that person can't be eliminated.
However, the way it's going to work now is if the million dollars, if they get it wrong and that
person is eliminated, then that million dollars is added to the next season. So the next season,
it'll be a two million dollar pot. And then if they get it wrong again, it'll be a three million
dollar pot. And so somebody gets a right. It's a rollover until it's a rollover until it reset.
So it could potentially get infinitely large, which it obviously won't.
But that's an interesting wrinkle to throw them to the game, I thought.
Yeah, that's fun.
Something that carries over from season to season.
What rollover could we introduce?
Oh, for what?
Coinsar scenario.
Are you thinking like coin flips?
Or what do you mean?
I was immediately thinking, this just screws me.
I didn't think of anything.
They also put an idol in the exact spot.
We put an idol in Survival, like I.
that was really funny.
Oh, that's awesome.
That's all I'll say.
I don't want to spoil it.
That's really cool to see it, yeah.
My suggestion was that if I don't, if I don't beat Limbo, the next Libu stream is an hour longer.
Oh my God.
Why would you even bring it up?
I know.
What idiot.
That's brilliant though.
Yeah.
Would it stack?
Yeah.
Oh, so eventually you might have to do like six hours of limbo if you just kept failing.
Yeah, well, I assume.
assume if you had a couple of hours to it, I'm just going to do it.
Okay. Yeah. Great for sure. I think everyone see. I think everyone's fine with that.
That's why that's why we're saying, why would you bring this up?
I just want that loose end done with. Is that right? It becomes dangerous because as soon as you do it,
we have to spin the wheel again, right? And it'll be a different challenge. It'll be a different
person's responsibility. So like, the longer it's on your plate, the better. Yeah, but I'm,
I'm excluded from the wheel because I've done that. Are you? Is that how? Is that how?
that works? Yeah, sure. That doesn't sound right. I don't think that was ever a rule that was decided at the time. I don't think you can just add. There's a spirit to these things. Okay. What if I'm still on the wheel, but everyone else is on there twice? No. Why would that be, why would that be, why would that be the case? I don't know. It'd be good, it could, though. I think that I, hey, I've got no issue with your rule. I think it just has to apply after the next wheel spin. Like, you're still on it for this one. But if it lands on you again, then you won't be on it for a third one. How about this? How about this?
this. I'm going to throw this out there and you guys feel free to say no to this.
But I agree with what Andrew says. It has to apply after the next wheel spin, any changes that are made going forward.
I don't like the idea of everybody else being on it twice and you're only on it once, but I do feel like you should get some sort of benefit.
What if you can pick one person that is on it twice?
That just means I'm going to get on it twice. You're just suggesting a thing that will never impact you.
He's never going to put you on it twice. I think this is a great idea, Jeff.
He might. And it's not always going to be. And then you're going to compete it.
and then you can put him on twice.
It's going to be a Cold War scenario
where we're just going to go back and forth.
I don't know what that means.
I don't, well, you act as if a Gavin and I
or some kind of team.
Yeah, yes, and.
Team G.
He's never going to do it to Eric
because that would terrify him.
Guy would be scared of the repercussions of that.
I'd be scared of the repercussions.
Yeah, I don't think you just want to deal with Eric in that way.
You're not going to.
He's trying to egg you to not, to not throw it at him.
You know, I genuinely think that.
He is egging you to not put it on him.
and it's working, Gavin.
I just want you to know that.
That is, that was not the play.
I genuinely think Gavin would decide it's not worth it.
I'm not going to put him on the wheel twice,
especially because there's no guarantee to land on him.
This is working on me so much.
It is.
I can tell.
He knows what button is to push.
It worked.
Someone else manipulate me.
Wasn't trying to push any buttons.
It's just,
I guess it's sort of how I would have handled it.
I don't want to deal with Eric being mad at me for that.
I'm not going to die on that hill.
There's like triple reverse.
psychology happening here.
I'm not going to do it to Nick.
This is complicated psychological
warfare happening in front of us right now.
Oh my God. Maybe the more
Andrew talks about people like Eric and Jeff,
I just start getting eyes for Nick, though.
You start getting eyes for Nick.
Yeah, it's a interesting way to say it.
Everybody look out, he's got his Nick eyes on.
He's crazy when he's got
the Nick eyes in.
I want four pairs of sunglasses that I can put on to indicate who I'm targeting.
Oh, wow.
And it's just those eyes.
You know those, like, goggles that are the eyes and they pop out and they have, like,
the springs on them to, like, dangle?
What if, like, each one, I would love if you designed what everybody's eyes would look
like for their specific eye with things?
Like, I wonder if we could guess whose eyes you're wearing based on your interpretation of what
the eyes would be visually represented as.
I have to be able to.
to include the eyebrows because that's where all the emotion is.
There's no emotion in just an eye.
I think, no, I think you could do stuff within the eyeball.
Well, because those have like, they're extremely bloodshot, at least in the imagery of my head.
Like, I think you could do things.
Nick's bloodshot.
Yeah, what I do?
What?
I'm saying the product I'm thinking of, the goofy glasses that, like, drop down, those eyes in my memory are bloodshot.
They're like extremely, there's like red streaks on the, on the, on the,
the ball, on the eyeball.
I think you could modify things.
I just like the idea of having those
glasses that have the images on the front.
You're looking through tiny holes, but it's just like a picture
and it could just be their actual face, eyes.
It would suck to have a viewfinder
that the photos were just people looking at viewfinders.
Whoa.
They're just posted dog glasses.
Is that what you're talking about?
But instead of these dogs, it's like picture of Nick?
It would be a picture of Nick's actual eyes to scale.
Oh, I see.
Okay.
So his eyes would be on my face.
Glasses with eyes on them.
Got it.
Yeah, it's too many eyes.
Yeah.
I didn't understand, I guess, is that it was the confusing part.
I think.
Do you know what I'm talking about?
You know my eye thing?
My goggles?
Yeah, the spring.
The spring eyes.
Like that.
Yeah.
Now I got it.
It's right here.
Those aren't even what I was picturing.
But yeah, like that as an idea.
That wasn't what you.
picture? That wasn't what you were picturing? What were you picturing?
Like x-ray goggles? Different spring eyes? Oh, that's, I wonder if there's regional spring eyes.
Oh, like Canadian spring eyes are different. Yeah, like it looks different. Like our standard of
this is, this is what I was thinking of. Pop out eyeglasses, they're kind of like blue.
That's the same thing. That's the same thing. No, you have so much more red around yours.
You're just talking about the picture. That's just a different brand.
No, it's a similar thing.
The lines are different.
The bloodshot.
This is, like, you're so hung up on a detail that isn't.
You're like, you're nuts.
Pull, oh.
You're insane.
Patriot.
Patriot pull right now.
No, God.
This is like, I'm just showing you, like, this is just an example of the thing.
We're talking about the same thing.
The spring mechanism is the exact same.
The spring is, but the, the eye designs are very different as all I was calling out.
Oh.
It's like saying, Eric and I have different eye colors.
Okay.
They're the same.
It's the exact same thing.
I don't understand your point.
I wasn't arguing neither of you had eyes.
I want to make a set of glasses that has two spring doorstops on him.
Two boilings?
Yeah.
I broke one of those recently.
You broke a booying doorstop?
Yeah.
I broke a bollum owing.
And I didn't realize it.
I thought I broke the door.
to be honest,
as relieved that I didn't break the door.
I was,
I had a shower,
and I was stepping out of the shower,
and I slipped on the floor,
and I slid into the door,
and the door were like,
and I was like,
oh, fuck, did I break this door?
And then I looked,
and I was like,
no, the door's totally fine.
I don't know what that was.
Maybe it sounded me hitting it.
And then the other day,
I noticed that the stopper
is just on the floor.
Behind the door.
I broke the stop.
So you slipped into it and, like,
bashed it open?
It was open.
It was all the way open,
and I just bashed into it further open.
I guess, and
it broke the stopper.
So I slid and like
shoulder checked it.
I don't think you should have a tile floor
in your bathroom.
It's so slick.
It's fake tile.
It's not like real tile.
It's still very slippery.
Fake tile.
All the floors where I live are very slippery.
Well, like,
lino?
Yeah, but it's designed to look like tile.
I think we should bring back
like 90s bathroom carpet for you.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
You should definitely have a carpeted bathroom.
I don't think I want carpeted.
I want Astro-Turfed bathroom.
That's what I want.
No, too bad.
You get a carpeted bathroom.
Or is it bad grippage?
I don't remember if real grass has less injuries on it than AstroTurf,
and AstroTurf has more.
One of them has way more injuries.
Do you imagine pissing in this fucking carpet bathroom?
Yes, because I lived through the 1990s, yeah.
That's every apartment bathroom I ever went in.
But you could put, you could put little, like,
things around the toilet to prevent
them getting too piss logged.
Yeah.
Piss logged?
It's just...
Yeah, like the carpet around it
would have a thing,
like a fluffy...
Like a horse shoe
that goes around it, yeah.
Yeah, more carpet.
Yeah, more...
Yeah, just put more...
Fluffy carpet.
Yeah, like a little carpet
toilet reach around.
Yeah.
You could put them on top of the lid, too.
Yeah.
That is...
That's what I remember
from my grandma's house
is the on top of the lid
on the back where it's just like,
we're carpeting like up.
Oh, God.
My grandma had carpet in her kitchen, and I always thought that was so weird.
It was like really short carpet, like so grippy.
Kitchen carpet.
So, Andrew, you're more on the side of something like this, where it's the AstroTurf
bathroom.
Yeah.
Yeah, I would do an Astroterter Bathroom.
Absolutely.
It's like you're shitting in a golf course.
Four.
We should probably start wrapping up, but before we do really quickly.
Who three?
I had a technical whoopsie
that I felt like I should mention on the show
just so you guys could go
blah blah blah at me
that I haven't touched
and I was just going to explain to Gavin
the issue for you to resolve
because I don't want to make things worse
You're very generous with these
You don't have to tell us about any of these
but you still do.
No, I choose to
because it's content I guess
Yeah
And I don't I
This one I feel is very excusable
I'd say it's not really my fault
I sat down at my desk,
moved my mouse, and I accidentally bumped my GoXLR
with my hand, which clicked the button,
and I had the NOS up while it happened,
and it immediately something like an action occurred,
and I clicked cancel, but it was so instant
that even though it said cancel, the action passed through.
And Gavin and I had recently been talking about files duplicating
in the NOS when you move them and that type of thing.
What had occurred is I accidentally moved Minecraft Dungeons into Metcha Chameleon.
The folder is inside Meta Chameleon.
Did you put it back?
No, I haven't touched anything.
Oh.
So if you could fix that in a way, that would cause the least amount of headaches, just as a heads up.
Yeah, I think, I think, anything would happen.
I assume it's an easy fix.
I just didn't want to touch it again, because I,
I didn't know how I did it, so then I didn't know how to reverse it.
Because- How did you go-X-LR do that?
I hit, like, two buttons on my mouse because of it, and whatever those buttons were caused a...
So the mouse hit the Go-X-L-R, and then that clicked the buttons on it.
My hand hit the Go-XLR and push my fingers into the mouse, which then caused two clicks.
And those clicks caused a file to move.
and also was incredibly confusing
because it was
Minecraft Dungeons 2
and we recorded two parts to it
and so I was trying to figure out
if Minecraft Dungeons 2
got separated
because a lot of people just named their file
for part 2 2
with no part
so it was very confusing
trying to determine the difference between
the files being in the right place
between the game name and the file names
it's a whole thing
Gavin, do you think this has anything to do?
I think we were talking the other day
about moving files around the NAS
that you said that something happened
and it started like something like
started like slowing everything down
like Andrew was like moving files or something.
Yeah, we realized that something about the way
the backups run isn't correctly detecting
that when you move a file, it's not a new file.
Like it should track like, oh, the files moved.
But it's been just re-downloading the file
to the backup if it's in a different place.
And then we've
then we've realized that
Andrew's moved almost everything
in our uploaded thing
you wanted to organize it
let me listen
now we need to clarify this
because this is once again
a self-report
I deserve credit on this
the way you're phrasing it
is like you guys went into the system
just discovered that I was causing this issue
no I learned this through Andrew
I told Gavin and I was like
hey I want to do this I've done this process
before but I wanted to do it
in a more expansive way
to organize things so it's just more visually clear
if something we have has been uploaded or not,
this is what I want to do,
will there be any repercussions of that?
And then Gavin tested it and discovered there were repercussions.
And then I let him know, okay,
well, I had done that for a specific folder in the past,
so I apologize for duplicates it caused.
And I will not do that as a solution for this new issue.
Yeah, I'm still working on a solution
as to why that's happening.
But yeah, I was wondering why the backups were
taken ages because I have to turn on my server, which just fills my office with heat.
I was like, man, I can't wait to turn this off. And it was just taking forever. And I realized
after you told me that, I was like, oh, it's, uh, it's doing every single file that we've already
backed up. Every time you move a file, it duplicates a file. Every time you rename the file,
it duplicates the file. Oh. Yeah, and it shouldn't, it shouldn't do that. It shouldn't do that.
It's been frustrating me.
But I've already fixed your...
Oh, thank you.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
I just put it back out, but...
I don't want to break things further.
Oh, yeah.
That was a minor break.
I was just, hey, I did this.
I'd much rather it be reported than figuring out
like eight months from now.
I thought that was a very mature thing for you to do, Andrew.
I really appreciate it.
I'm a change man.
He said, right?
Growth.
Speaking of growth, this podcast just grew another episode, the 125th episode.
Can you believe it?
In barely 875 more, we'll be able to say, we're at 1,000.
Will you be there?
Double cut out?
Double cuck?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
