Oh, Rick!
What's up, my brother?
I've got a buddy who struggles with that shot.
A lot.
His name's Frankie Burrilli.
So the guys actually gave him a nickname of Butterknives because he's always nice to the cross the green.
Brokers 100.
Now you've got to break 90.
We appreciate what you guys do for golf.
It's been really cool.
Thank you.
You're making it cool.
I was like, hey, Phil, you only fucking $29.99.
And he grabs 100.
He's like, yeah, I won $90,000 of these yesterday.
He goes, take 100 and go, fuck yourself.
What?
What are you that hitting?
It's ain't a hobby.
Four players are my barstool sports.
We have a huge announcement.
We're going to begin the show with a massive announcement,
which is we are broadcasting live on Barstool TV.
So we're going to be streaming a corn fairy
tour event. It's in Chicago area. It's at the Glyn Club, which I've played, which is fantastic.
It is the end of July. So July 27th through the 30th, we will be broadcasting at barstool.
TV live coverage for three hours a day, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
corn fairy tour. Now, this has clearly been somewhere where Barstall Sports has been going in the last
year or so. We did a college basketball tournament. We did the college football ball game down in
Arizona and Tucson, which was awesome, which I was at.
Corn Fairy Tour, we spoke a lot in the fall, especially during Q School, during finals.
Our guy, Alistair, out there, Brady Colkins, he's an awesome guy.
They're out there at finals.
We couldn't watch it.
We're watching like the Shotlink, which is done by volunteers.
You can't remember if I wish we could watch more corn fairy tour and understand the stories.
So we're just doing it.
We are broadcasting a Corn Fairy Tour event led by Barstool Sports, PGA Tour and the Corn
Ferry Tour are teaming up with
Barstool Sports, with for play with
Barstle golf, and we are putting on
for three hours a day, I believe, is the
current plan, live coverage
of a Corn Ferry Tour event. It is
the NV5 Invitational, presented
by Old National Bank. It's
in Glenview, Illinois, which is just outside
of Chicago. It's going to be
incredibly fun. I'm very
nervous. It's going to be nerve-wracking.
We've been in these meetings about who's going to drive
the broadcast. I believe our plan
is to have Jake Marsh, myself, and one other person in the booth.
We're going to be in kind of the main tower.
We're going to be throwing it to Dan Rappaport who's on here with me right now,
who's going to have insightful knowledge on course.
We're going to have Frankie and Trent running around together with a camera and a microphone.
Kirk Meneham, my great friend Kirk, who's a golf nut, is agreed to be part of the broadcast.
We're going to have all kinds of different personalities out there.
We're going to try to mesh barstall sports with not interfering with the integrity of a professional golf tournament.
These guys are playing for their lives.
We speak a lot about how corn fairy tour and the grind and the struggle and that side of golf doesn't get enough coverage.
Doesn't get enough from us.
Like I'd be the first to point our finger.
We don't talk about it enough.
We don't know enough about it.
So now we're going to.
We're going to broadcast it.
We're going to highlight it.
It's myself and Dan right now.
Frankie and Trent are down in Myrtle Beach.
Big news, Dan Rappaport.
Big news.
Big, very exciting news.
It's been hard to keep this one a secret because this is what I want to do.
this is the next step for us. Like, you know, we talk a lot about complaints that we have about coverage.
And so we're going to try to fix it all ourselves. We have some really, really exciting things planned
beyond just, you know, your normal three hours of coverage where we talk about shots.
We're going to show off these guys' personalities. We're going to do some fun things that we've wanted
to be done in broadcast before that we haven't been able to get our message across because we
haven't had the levers of control. But now that we do. So it's obviously, like you said,
It's obviously a direction the company is trying to go, moving into live events for us, you know, trying to bring our tone and our approach to a live golf tournament.
It's something that's never been done before.
And I think we're obviously super excited about the NV5, but we're also really excited about just continuing to grow and work with the PJ tour more and more on this kind of stuff.
Because I do think there is absolutely space for some alternative type of coverage that it doesn't look the same as the golf channel coverage that we.
that we watch 40 weeks a year.
It's going to be different.
We'll probably mess some things up,
but we'll also probably do some things that are really, really cool,
and that hopefully opens up people's eyes to some possibilities
to go a little bit more outside the box with coverage.
So I cannot wait.
I'm super excited.
It's in Chicago, close to where I went to college.
So it's sort of a home game.
I think the crowd will be great.
Barstall obviously is a big following in Chicago.
So this is a big one.
This is a big.
I feel like it's a big step for four play.
It is. You know, we get asked a lot what's next. What's next for you guys? You know, we've got merchandise at tournaments. We've got a live event series, the Barstool Classic, which I'm at right now. We're at Half Moon Bay. It's raining and cold, so I feel horrible from people, but I think the sun's supposed to come out. We do the podcast. We've got a big YouTube presence. We do all kinds of fun videos series. We've got a pretty big social media presence. So what's next? This is it. This is our next step is trying to broadcast a live golf tournament of,
you know, probably a top three or four golf tour in the world.
I mean, it's the PGA tour.
Obviously, Liv has emerged.
The DP World Tour slash European Tours, most people have known it.
And the Corn Ferry Tour.
I mean, Scotty Schaeffer won the inaugural event that we are doing,
the NV5 Invitational in 2019.
The reigning PGA Tour rookie of the year, Cam Young, won this event.
So, like, this is, you know, these are the players that you come.
come to know and love, like most of them came up through the corn fairy tour and we're going to
be broadcasting an event.
So, you know, it's very, very exciting for us.
So people kind of understand, I know people love the behind the curtain stuff.
Like the biggest, uh, the biggest hurdle to get over for us greenlighting this was really
me and us.
Like I was very hesitant to do this.
It's tough to do.
It's tough to, you know, you need a certain amount of, you know, almost cocky.
to believe that you can actually just, oh, yeah, we're just going to broadcast a live golf tournament, no problem.
I think I'm humble enough to realize that that ain't easy and we're going to have to put an amazing amount of work into this.
Thursday show we're going to feature Alistair and his caddy, Sam Frank, who have been out on the corned fairy tour, obviously, for this entire season.
You know, sort of Alistair's dream, obviously, to get to this point and get beyond this point.
So what it's been like so far through six or seven events and the reshuffle and then, you know, going into what it means for those guys to have.
have us hopefully kind of amplify the corn fairy tour, amplify an event, put kind of a lot of
eyeballs and a lot of interest into the MV5 invitational in Chicago. So we're going to have that on
Thursday. But, but again, for me, a lot of it was like, okay, we talk a lot about how golf is generally
pretty boring. Even PJ Tour golf weekend and week out, if you're watching the coverage,
like you're either a golf nut or it's kind of boring in and out, like minute by minute. So
So how are we going to then take something that has less stars, less name recognition, less people that folks know, and make it entertaining, interesting?
So that's a big challenge for us.
We do kind of have to believe at some level that we're talented and entertaining and we're going to bring sort of that approach that we bring to the podcast and to videos and social and everything else to coverage.
And we're going to marry that with a professional broadcast.
And Jake Marsh, who, you know, I texted about this and he seems to be.
pretty excited about it. I've never really spent that much time with him, but he crushed it with
the other live events that Barstool has done. This is like his dream, is to, to literally be like a
play-by-play guy in sports. That's what he lives for. So Marrying, there's like, there's obviously a
humor in that. I'm like, we're, Barstall is a clown show. And here we have a guy that works for
Barstool, does all kinds of part of my take stuff who wants to just be professional. And he literally calls
fucking ping pong games in the office. And then he's calling a college football game. And now he's
going to be calling live golf. So the whole thing coming together, I think there's a recipe for it to be
incredible. I think there's a recipe for, you know, this to really provide an entertaining,
interesting broadcast to very serious golfers that are playing for their lives and their career.
And it's like if they play well in these types of events, they could live out their dream of
playing professional golf. And if they don't, they could be selling insurance or caddian at the local
club, you know, all year next year and for the rest of their lives and that, you know. And so the us kind
bringing that to people.
It's a big step for us.
It's something we're very nervous about.
It's something we're very excited about.
And we kind of know we're going to have to put a shit ton of effort in to make it,
you know, great and make it worth it.
But yeah, Corn Ferry Tour, PGA Tour coming together with us to allow us this opportunity.
It's very cool.
It's very intimidating.
But also, you know, we got to have a little mojo.
We believe we could pull this thing off.
We have the mojo, I think.
You know, we're definitely confident.
I don't want people to think that it's just.
like it's going to look the exact same and it's just going to be us talking. No, we are
broadcasting the event. We're handling the production. We're going to have a bunch of
different personalities. It's not just going to be, you know, the four of us from four play.
We're going to bring it a bunch of other barstool talent. It will look more, I would, you know,
assume more like kind of how the bowl game looked or the basketball tournament looks than it will
the golf channel broadcast. It's not going to just be us talking over the same exact shots that
you always see. We have some big ideas. And we're going to, we're going to try and make this thing feel
fresh. So I remember we were having meetings and Riggs and Riggs was talking about behind the
curtain and I and he was trying to, you know, Riggs is doing his due diligence and he's asking all
the tough questions. You know, what if this happens? What if that happens? And I'm just like,
let's do it. Let's do it. And at the end of the meeting, Riggs goes, oh, we're going to do it.
He goes, fucking Dan Rappap before he's blown his load. Like, come on, man. Like, you got to,
you got to at least act like you have questions about it. I have been overflowing with excitement because
doing like on-court stuff is kind of another frontier that I want to get into. So I'm really,
really stoked that this is happening and we hope to see you all in chicago it's going to be a great time yeah
i think to you know if we can convey the stakes right like there's a certain level of when you're
watch a pj tour and obviously they want to harp on the money and realizing that guys that are making
you know playing for first place in this event get three and a half million in second place is that
and that matters that's a ton of money but it's not really altering the course of their lives most
of these guys week in and week out. It's the difference between them making 7 million or 5 million.
It's like, okay, they're still making of that. These guys, again, if we could convey it properly,
the stakes are everything. It's their career. It is like their livelihood as professionals
are on the line. And, and, you know, there's a few guys that have things locked up. But for
the most part, you know, the meat of the field, it's make a break almost every week in accumulating
points that in a reshuffle, they actually have somewhere to play.
And if they, you know, get in the finish in the top 30, they get their PGA tour card.
If they get their PGA tour, they literally get to play in the PGA tour, which that's their dream for their entire life and their journeyman.
And some of them are fresh and up and coming and they don't have money in their renting.
Alistair is literally renting a car starting this weekend for seven weeks straight.
He's renting a car and like driving 10 hours from stop to stop trying to just make it work.
So covering all that, highlighting it, presenting it in a barstool broadcast.
It's going to be really fun.
I'm very, very excited.
and yeah, that's a big announcement.
So that'll be on barstool.
That is July 27th through the 30th.
We're going to have merchandise.
We're going to have fun events going on site.
We're going to kind of bank a good amount of filming between now and then
that we can tie into the broadcast.
And the Barstall Classic stop in Chicago was actually about a month before the event at the Gling Club.
So it's the same spot.
So a lot of things came together.
Big shout to the Corn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour kind of.
you know, reaching out, really, and being like, okay, we're going to, we're going to invite
these guys in. We're going to recognize sort of the work that we've done, the following that we've
built up, the fans that we have, and they're going to allow us this opportunity to broadcast
the Corn Ferry Tour live. So it's pretty crazy, pretty cool. And we're nervous yet excited,
which I think is probably a good spot to be in. And one thing I want to also underline is there
are no more Corn Ferry Tour finals this year. So this is how these guys get their carts. You know,
In the years past, it's been there's 25 guys who get it from the regular season.
And then they, if you finish in the top 75 or whatever, you go to finals and you get
another chance, you get another three events.
That's not happening this year.
You got to finish in the top 30.
And there are only seven events after our event.
So it's starting to be crunch time.
The Corn Ferry tours where dreams are made and where dreams go to die.
So, you know, it's like you said, it's apart from Jordan Spee and Colin Morikawa,
you know, these freaks who get right to the PJ tour, this is where these guys, this is
where it happens.
So we're in a, the tournament that we're broadcasting is in a really crucial.
spot for guys trying to live their dream. So super, super excited. Yep, me too. Me too. And yeah,
if we can convey all that, I think people will be very into it. And if not, then we'll just be big
failures and nobody will ever watch us broadcast the golf tournament. So we'll see. Um, big shout to Chevy.
Uh, there are presenting sponsor throughout this year. We love Chevy. I rented a Chevy this week.
I've been upgraded to now. I'm, uh, Emerald Club for a national car rental. Well, I had the
Emerald Club, but I had just the normal Emerald Club thing.
Now I got the executive level.
So it's just a whole other, I even know this fucking aisle existed.
It's a whole other aisle of cars.
And I got this Chevy SUV that is fantastic.
And I'm walking around this aisle and there's all kinds of other kind of trash around
there.
And I get into this Chevy and I just felt right at home.
I saw that bow tie.
Now you can see that bad boy with the Silverado, the all electric Silverado,
Chevy. You've known the Silverado for years, for decades. You love the thing. Okay, like a rock. It's as,
it's as good as it gets. It's, it's, it's American, it's badass, and now it's all electric. It is the
most valuable truck of Barstall sports. We love Barstle sports. We got the chance to see this puppy
a couple months ago. We were blown away at this machine and how incredible it is. Available 400-mile
range GM estimated on a full charge going over to chevy.com to learn more just play around on their
website all right me and frank you've been talking a lot about our leases are coming up obviously going to get
into the uh chevy game in terms of purchasing one uh if i don't end up with the silver idol i'd be
pretty shocked at this point because i'm so blown away by this thing it's got a large 17 inch diagonal
display screen infotainment system as broly likes to call it could tow up to 10 000 pounds of max
towing zero to 60 and under 4.5 seconds with wow mode on the all
electric Chevy Silverado.
So going over to Chevy.com and check that bad boy out.
All right, Dan.
Yesterday I played Cal Club with a couple guys.
A phenomenal time with my boys, Adam, Pete and Greg.
We had a phenomenal match.
How about we had a match yesterday?
I don't know that I've ever really had this.
We had a match yesterday, two on two, pretty equal on strokes.
I think one guy was getting four.
I was getting two.
Another guy was getting one.
We had a match yesterday.
We were doing auto presses at two down.
The match never was more than one down for either team ever,
and we ended up tying on 18.
that's that's the best match possible that's when it's like you know it just everyone's leaves with a smile
on their face it was amazing nobody was ever more than one down or one up and it came down to 18
and i was i was having a classic me round i actually drove it great couldn't hit an iron to save my
life and then was chipping and putting and making everything on the back nine and uh we get to 18
and we've both got uh two of us in the whole the other two guys are in for bogey and me and the host
and the other team.
Both have like five or five and a half footers for par.
And mine's five and a half feet.
His is a hair closer.
And I just said, I go, I'm going to offer this now.
And this is your only chance.
I'll offer you a good, good.
And if you don't take it, you're the one that's going to have to live with the results because I offered it.
And he thought about it for second.
He's like, there's no way I can be the host and be a little bit closer and take that.
So no.
So okay, you're going to have to remember that.
So I step up, drain it.
And then everybody went crazy.
And then he stepped up, drained it right in the heart.
And everybody went crazy.
So fantastic match.
Okay.
Wyndham Clark, having a great year.
It feels like I don't have all the stats on that.
But I was a couple, two weeks ago,
me and Kirk were doing the show about the Mexico Open.
He was like the second favorite in the field.
I understand the field wasn't the toughest of the entire year,
but it was like John Rob, boom, then Wyndham Clark.
He's had several, the Zurich classic,
I believe him and Bo Hostler is who it was.
We're right up there at the top.
So he's been playing extremely well this year.
I feel like he's not,
we had him on the show about a year and a half ago,
was great on the show.
But I feel like he's not a name that a lot of people necessarily know in the world of golf comes out,
designated event, quail hollow, major championship venue, team event venue with the President's Cup,
closes it out down the stretch in pretty convincing fashion.
Like a life-changing kind of day, I feel like yesterday for Wyndham Clark.
Yeah, it's a guy who's always looked apart.
And I'm not just saying that because he's a very handsome guy.
That's not just me saying.
That's just an indisputable fact.
But if you watch the guy swing the golf club, it's like, all right, this guy,
this guy should win tournaments. It's beautiful, perfect balance, easy power. He came into the
week with 16 consecutive straight made cuts, which is that's, that's pretty serious. That means
that you're hitting it really, really good because putting is going to come and go. But if you're
making that many cuts in a row, you're obviously an elite ball striker. And yeah, you know, I tweeted
something yesterday and I got some flack for this saying, this was the first designated event that
was kind of a dud. That's not a shot at Wyndham Clark at all. I mean, every, every player dreams
of winning a tournament that's a dud because that means you're in complete control. A lot of the
events that Tiger Woods one. Apart from it being Tiger Woods, he's got a four-shot lead that he turns
into a six-shot lead, right? And it's not exactly fireworks down the stretch, but that's what you want.
If you're the player, you want to suck the life all out of the tournament. That's exactly what he did.
I got a good stat for you. Wyndham Clark gained over 19 shots on the field for the week. That's
only happened four other times since the start of the 2020-2020 season. Bryson DeShambo at Wingfoot,
obviously he dominated. Is this off the tee or what aspect of the game is this?
19 shots over the field. It's only happened four times. So Bryson at the 2020 U.S. Open.
John Rom at the Memorial where you had to withdraw. So that was through three rounds. So that was like a historic
shot lead or something. Yeah, he had a six shot lead and then tested positive for COVID.
Rory McElroy had last year's Canadian Open and Tony Fienow just a few weeks ago at Mexico
open. So for a guy who was ranked, I think 80th in the world coming into the week, to be able to
have a display like that, it just shows you. And we talked about this ad nauseum, the depth of fields.
for a guy that's 80 in the world to yes there was no john rom yes there was no scotty
shuffler but basically everybody else was there rory was there spith was there can't lay was there with
joe lakov on the bag shawfley was obviously right there for him to to be that far above just speaks to
it could happen from from basically any angle i had uh i had four four grand swing on zander
shawley winning the event and you know we're out at cow club so i'm trying not to be on my phone
uh too much but i'm checking and when i checked before we teed on
he has a one stroke lead because he started like one under through four or five or maybe through seven I think he buried seven and when Clark was like one over and I was like perfect this guy's never won before Xanders mr. Steady Eddie's Mr. Chill he's California bro things over and I look two hours later and he's down by five I was like what the fuck so you're right you're right you look you can't say anything on the internet now without getting shit yeah anytime you just say something was a dud which I literally said about the master's tournament about the back time
which I stand, I still believe that.
And John Rom, after giving me shit, agreed with me.
I was like, no, I totally get it as a spectator.
If somebody sucks life out of a tournament, it's just not as exciting.
That's the goal.
That's like when I told Kevin Kisner after I met him, I was like, yeah, I wish they'd put you on TV more, but you're so boring to watch play golf.
And he was like, I'm trying to be boring to watch play off.
That's the goal.
I hit it in the middle of fairway.
I hit in middle of green.
I try to make a 15 footer from the correct side of the pin, and I do that 18 times.
I had a great tournament.
And that's pretty much what you want to do.
You want to, if you're wind of Clark, teeing off with the lead, couple shot lead going to the final round, you want to make it as boring as possible. You want to win by four or five. You want to be able to boge the 72nd hole and have it not matter. You want to, if you're Scottie Schaefford, the Masters, be able to foreput the final hole and still win by like three shots. That's just what you want, me as a viewer, like you said, I would have loved to have watched, you know, coming down the stretch, they're standing on 17 with all the aqua on the left. And it's like if he doesn't step up and hit a tight draw up the right side or he overcooks it a little bit or he flares.
it out to the right. Like this tournament is he's going to ruin the best day of his life.
And instead he's kind of just hit in the middle of the green, protect the golf tournament.
Fantastic for him. Not as fantastic for a viewer. That's just a fact.
And every designated event before this one was was a banger. It was a huge success.
You know, Hawaii, you had Rom and Colin Morikawa really choking down the stretch.
You had Phoenix, which just felt like the center of the universe with the Super Bowl.
You had Riviera with Tiger making an appearance. And you had John Rom and Max Homa.
And that was great. Kurt Kadyama was dramatic.
right, you know, he beat Rory at Bay Hill.
Then RBC Heritage, everyone's saying,
I can't believe we have another designated event
the week got after the Masters and then Fits and Speed.
That did huge numbers.
They were overdue for a dud, and that's, you know,
that's going to happen, right?
All you can do is get the best players in the world together.
Once the, you know, the gun goes off and they're playing,
you can't control it.
So not every week is going to be a historic success.
And we move on.
And unbelievably, we have a major championship on our hands next month at Oakhill
where Rory McElroy is a member.
And Rory McElroy's last three stroke play star,
are he missed the cut at the masters. He missed the cut the players. He missed cut at the masters and he
finished T50 at Quill Hollow. Didn't speak to reporters on Sunday. Something's up. Something's up.
Something's up. I don't know what, you know, it just feels like the, you know, he, he doesn't seem
like he's all there. And I don't want to speculate if there's something going on, whether, you know,
might just be, like he said, that it was really, really tiring, be in the face of the PJ tour and
talking all this stuff. But it doesn't seem like all was right in Roryland, which is unfortunate to see.
obviously he's a world-class player this is not going to be like a lasting thing but yeah you know
last year he's on top of the world he's back to number one in the world he wins a fettix cup it has not
been a great year for rory so far and uh but you know maybe going back to o'kill where he's a member
his wife is from rochester he's got a place up there is that why he's a member i didn't know that
i didn't know he's a member at oh kill yeah so his wife is from like the finger lakes area so
they actually go there quite a bit they go there pretty often they've got like a cabin out there and
i you know i think he hosts her family up there a lot so he's a he's a member up there he's
played there a bunch of times.
I would imagine the term cabin is an understatement of whatever residence that place is.
But I enjoy the softness with which you addressed his, his place up there.
Yeah, I didn't realize he's a member up there.
I like that.
Oak Hill is coming up, baby.
That's next fucking week.
I mean, I'm booking my flights for Sunday night.
I'm going to be there all day Monday, all day Tuesday, all day Wednesday.
Then I got to fly to St.
Louis.
We're hosting the Barstool Classic in St.
Louis and Boge Hills.
And I'm going to be in St. Louis all weekend watching the
tournament with my with my brother and my family and my buddy so I'm incredibly excited for pGA
championship week I love majors I haven't you know it's been like uh I haven't really been in the ring
for a major since I guess the US open last year up at uh inside the ropes walking the walk in the
guys you know at Augusta you don't get anything so it's nice to be it's nice to be in the mix
not even a lot on property at Augusta I wear like a fucking mustache to get in there whereas now
here we are we're going to have credential or be we're doing a big event in the afternoon on
Tuesday. So that's coming up fast. It's major championship week. Um, we do have the four the cut, um,
this week at the Byron Nelson. Let me look at this bad boy. I got to pick mine in real time.
By the way, my four the cut to pick this, uh, this week was Wyndham Clark. So was it really?
Yeah, it was. I think I'm, I don't know if you're still keeping the stats. I don't know if you're still
keeping the stats, but I'm, I'm on a bit of a heater with the four the cut. I'm probably struggling,
eh? I think I've come back down to real life. I, uh, I think I've got back down to real life. I, uh, I think I'm
back down to real life.
My pick's Akshé Batia, 21 years old, the lefty.
Yeah, he's sneaky.
Like the lefty.
Yeah, he's basically already locked up his card.
All right, Akshay Batia.
I really don't know exactly how to pronounce his name,
which is tough because I'm a big pronounce the name correctly.
I think it's Akshay Batia.
That's what we're going with.
He withdrew from the tournament after we recorded.
So that's tough.
He's not going to be able to make the cut if he's not playing in the tournament.
Good news that happened before.
We launched for the cut and not after, because that would have been really bad.
I don't think it's happened yet, actually.
Someone withdrawing after.
But we're changing the pick because of necessity.
We're going with Matt Coocher.
Matt Coocher.
You remember Matt Coocher.
Matt Coocher quietly is 48th in the world.
Probably wouldn't be quite so high if all the live guys didn't leave.
But 48th in the world is 48th in the world and 45th in the Cepth,
his last four starts are T9, T-19, T-23, Steady Eddie, Matt Coocher,
playing very, very solid golf.
Um, yeah, so he's the pick, Matt Hocher.
I mean, I know the odds makers know that he's playing solid too, which is why he's like seven favorite to win the tournament.
But look, I'm on a hot streak.
I'd win them, Clark last week.
He won the tournament.
Matt Hootcher is the pick.
My pick for this week for the four the cut.
This is a lock.
I mean, this guy, I love this guy.
I just, he did just, uh, dead heat rule me again on a top 30 choice that I had, but I'm going, uh, Stefan or Stefan Yeager.
That's my guy.
he's been playing great golf this year.
He's been making cuts.
He's plus 5,000 to win the tournament this week.
So I'm going with Yeager, the Yeager bomb, the Yeager Meister.
And then if you want to hear the other two on the For the Cut bet,
you're going to have to keep listening because we're going to throw it to Frankie and Trent,
the Borelli's and the Rihans, plague off Myrtle Beach.
They're down in Myrtle Beach right now.
They're going to tell you all about what they're doing, what's going on in their world.

So that is coming.
But we got to play Caledonia.
We're playing a Pete Dye golf course tomorrow.
The list goes on and on.
The golf courses are out of control.
They're incredible.
They brought legitimate tears to my dad.
I'm in your dad has just been in awe of the entire thing.
Yeah.

Riggs checking in from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
It's the Frankie and Trent Show.
Hello.
Hello.
How's it going, guys?
Our dads are not here.
They are taking now.
Oh, yeah.
So he tossed to the dads.
Yeah.
So he said, here are the dads.
and to much the surprise of the listeners,
the dads are not here.
I would assume that Gary Ryan is almost in,
what is it, like, REM 2 of his sleep,
his second REM cycle?
He's already in another cycle.
I walked out of where we're staying,
and his room is right before the front door of the condo
or wherever we are,
and his door was open,
and he was just laying there fully asleep.
Did you give him the nice room?
I offered the nice room to him.
Check the fuck up.
He wouldn't take it.
What?
he would not take it so we're out here that's crazy we're out here uh in myrtle beach right now
we're doing a little bit of a dad's trip we're going to get into that in a couple of weeks you're
going to see a lot of the content we don't like to hype up the content too much anymore when it's
not time sensitive um because everyone's asking for where the videos are but this is something we have
to hold around uh father's day it's a whole thing that we're doing for father's day very special
that we're able to take our dads on a cool trip we're playing unbelievable courses down
here in Myrtle Beach, but we're getting, we're staying in like a amazing hotel here and our
rooms are out of control. I mean, we're in one of your guys' rooms. They're like, they're,
the views are insane. It's the ocean. It's the ocean. Huge property underneath with all these
pools and hot tubs and my dad was basically at the swim up bar this morning just fucking drinking mojitos and
tequila with a little bit of splash of crayon and, uh, and lime juice. I don't know what the hell
that guy drinks. It's unbelievable. But, um,
When we walked in, there's one room that's in a closet.
There's no windows.
There's one room that's that's in a closet.
There's no windows.
And there's another room that's overlooking the ocean.
And I looked at both rooms and I'm like, I just, like, I can't take the nicer room.
I just couldn't.
And you're telling me that your dad didn't, he offered to just not take that.
Yes.
And I think a big part of it was, you want to know the truth is that when we got into the room, the big room, the main room, he left his luggage there just so he could
walk further into the apartment or condo and see the rest of it. And I don't think he wanted to lug his
luggage, the rest of the way down to the nice room. But I scout sonner, hand on the Bible. I offered
him the nice room over and over and over. Because it's one's in a closet and one's a palace.
My room is really nice. It's so nice. And I wanted him to have it and he wouldn't take it. And he
slept in the other room.
We had an amazing day today, day one of the father's son trip.
This is something we've been planning for a really long time.
Emails back and forth.
We have a great sponsor, the whole deal.
So it's going to be a great little series that we're going to be putting out leading up to
Father's Day, which is what, like June 16th, I think it is.
That's about that.
I nailed that.
I think it's June 16th.
It's always around that time.
US Open week, the whole deal.
So June 18th?
Fuck.
And just, you know, our dad's in their own way are just characters.
I know.
Your dad fucking cracks me up, man.
Dude.
He sometimes doesn't get the joke, but like you laugh, you laugh at like, he'll take
something seriously and it made me laugh.
I know.
Like, it's a good drive and he turns back to the camera and he, like, you think that he's
being, like, joking, but he was very happy about the good draft.
We realized, we realized, um, the golf course today was about 45 minutes from where we were.
And the whole time that we've been here,
my dad's been trying to send my mom videos and photos and this will not be in the video because
we didn't video i know unbelievable how funny this was recapping like or just a play by play of
what's going on with him during this trip that he's been going on and so we've been in merdle beach
for about 16 hours at this point he kept complaining that it was in like the queue yeah he's like
it's in the queue it's not sending it's not sending come to find out his phone's been in
airplane mode since we landed yesterday
so he goes at one point under his he goes i think my phone's been on airplane
and i won't what was the line he dropped that i i just laughed for 20 straight minutes in the back
of seat i know he goes he goes it's been a while since i've been on that plane
under his breath he goes he goes he goes you know he does he looks down his phone
after we figured out that it's been on airplay because all these text messages are starting to come in
from from truss mom yeah my mom is texting him where are you where are you we're going to wait for you
for at that dinner, which means he did a pre-airplane mode, probably at home, went to the airport,
and then he goes, he looks at his phone and he just goes, I've been off that plane for a while,
for a real long time.
It's like 16 hours I've been off that plane.
You know what's really interesting?
And I couldn't believe it, dude.
Yeah.
It's interesting.
You don't realize what your parents are really like until you're around them with other people.
That I've never met them either.
Right.
You know, you met my dad like a couple times where we've never.
spent a lot of time together with you.
And so when my dad does these things, I'm just like, all right, like, just give me your phone
and we'll figure it out. Yeah. So when I see you, when I hear you laughing in the back of the car,
I'm like, oh yeah. And the airplane mode thing was insane. That was incredible. He was just
like, yeah, that's been on airplane mode for almost 24 hours. I mean, they both, they've both just
made their, their presence made. You know, they, you just know that they're here. You know they're the
dads of the trip. I mean, yeah, my dad's just been walking around drinking, uh, his, his, his, like,
very, very Floridian drinks with all the pineapples coming out of it.
And he has his American flag bathing suit on that we probably got in like a family
trip down for Fourth of July like 10 years ago.
He still wears the same bathing suit.
It's nice to see your dad.
My dad's retired.
He's been retired for almost 10 years, I think, at this point.
But your dad's still very much a working man.
Yeah.
He's running the restaurant.
You guys got this new Borelli's tap room that, you know, he's kind of, he's helping
operate that.
So seeing your dad actually relax.
We were down by the pool earlier today and he was in his swim trunks and he got into the hot tub.
He was over there for about 20 minutes and came back over and was like, I felt my entire back decompressed when I got into the hot tub.
It's like, dude, you've been working 20 hour days for like 50 years.
Yeah, he came to me just because I needed this.
Like he's like, this came at a perfect time because he's just been so stressed with just everything.
That's just how he operates.
And any person that operates their own business, regardless of what you're in, you know,
exactly what I'm talking about, where it's like you just can't give up the reins. Like you he'll never
just trust someone. Not that he doesn't trust it, but he wouldn't be able to sleep at night if he wasn't
constantly like giving it his all. You know what I mean? For sure. If he takes a week off, he's constantly
just like, what's going on back there? Are they going to be able to do this? I was telling Trent,
we were driving here and he was on his phone. He was on, oh no, he was sitting by the pool and he was on his
phone talk texting because that's what he does. And he was just rattling off what the restaurant
back home needs to his vendor where it comes like cups or glassware and then like you know the
cheese is going to come in and all that stuff like lettuce all he knew exactly how many boxes
and shipments at the restaurant needs this week and I looked at him and he did maybe for 10 minutes
I'm like did you have like a list or inventory he's like no I just I looked at it before I left I just
looked it's the eye test I just know like you no one else could even fill in for that guy because
he how do you do it the way he does it's impossible the blueprint is in his head's in his
head. And then you get the other side where he hits his first shot. And he's like, you know,
I watch TikTok. And the only TikToks I watch are Paige Spirannix. And she's got those boobs. And now I can't,
I got my arms out here. I'm like, all right, dad. Hit the golf ball. Oh, hit the golf ball. Frank
Borrelli. He's like, he's like, bippity bop. Oh, look at these boobs. I can't hit them like
like that. I'm like, dad, stop. Stop. Stop now. Yeah. Oh, he's incredible. He really is. He really is. He's
out of control. He's a character. I say he's out of control. He doesn't even realize he's
out of control.
He's, yeah, they're having a great time.
This is, this is coming.
Yeah, we got the two restaurants now.
So he's, he's really, he's really just working hard.
But this, this was amazing for him to, to get away.
Oh, Brendan, what do you say?
I think the best part at, while we were at, you know, what we were doing earlier was when
he just got into like a 10 minute conversation with the person who works at the store,
telling them what we do.
Oh, dude, you missed this.
My dad, he was like, tailor-made sponsors these guys.
They treat them like professional athletes.
Yeah.
My dad, so we're, we're, I mean, we can just say we're working with Golf Galaxy.
Golf Galaxy has this down.
They do this whole thing.
I said I wasn't going to give away any of the video and I don't want to hype it up.
And I've been doing that for the last, what, 10 minutes?
It's just what we, it's just what we did today.
I know, I know.
But I just, I guess I wanted to preface that by being like, stop.
Don't like say this is old content.
I hate when people do that.
Like we talk about it when we're filming it.
And we do it on the podcast.
And then the video comes out in three weeks and they're like, or old.
It's like, no, that's a brand new video.
We just happen to talk about it on a podcast when it happened.
whatever um we're at golf galaxy and my dad's walking around to the golf galaxy people they're like
the people that sign this deal they're the ones that they're the reason why we're there they know
why we're there my dad open the store early and this is like corporate golf galaxy people also like
the reason we're here and my dad goes up to those people and he's like you know I really appreciate
everything you guys are doing here we're gonna we're gonna make sure that we they tag you they're
gonna put videos on youtube they're gonna put videos on youtube and they're gonna talk about on that they
have a big podcast.
And, uh, and
you know,
he goes,
he goes,
he goes,
he goes,
they're going to pump the shit out of golf.
So he's thinking that they're doing this out of the kindness of their hearts.
Like he goes,
you won't believe the amount of stuff these guys are going to do for golf galaxy.
He goes,
you won't believe it.
He goes,
you guys made a great,
you guys made a great decision today.
The guy's thinking in his head like,
I know,
we sold the package to them where it's going to be,
like the gentleman made athletes,
you wouldn't believe anything that happens with these guys.
He's like,
you know,
they're hitting tailor made clubs.
You know,
they,
a lot for them. It's and the guy's like that he got a thank you out of them. They're like, thank you,
Mr. Borrelli for for securing that deal for us because we didn't have anything in writing.
We talked about on the last show about how we need to be nicer to old people. Yeah. This is,
we're kind of doing it on this trip. Yeah. I mean, I don't put them in that category yet. They're still
very like, um, capable human beings. For sure. Because at this point, I mean, if you're anything under,
if you're, if you're, uh, a normal 75 year old, you're like, uh, uh, a normal 75 year old, you're like,
50 year old from 20 years ago.
You know what I mean?
Like the 70's a new 60.
Because my dad is 71.
And he looks unbelievable.
Yeah.
He's just like,
pipe and alive.
Like he's just funny,
vibrant tan.
Really tan.
He can hit the golf ball fucking really well.
That's no,
that's no old person.
You know what I mean?
Like I think it's something,
you know an old person when you see.
I know.
But yeah,
we are being nice to them and I think they deserve it.
And they definitely do.
They've been very nice to us.
And it's been a great week.
Well,
it's going to be a great week.
I wanted to talk about
your dozen performance
Holy shit yeah the dozen came out
That has come out
It's been out for a week week and a half now
So if you haven't watched it
Go watch our match against the honkers
Because I'm going to spoil it right now
If you haven't watched it
What a performance from you
We won
We won
We were a 20 seed and we defeated a two seed
In the dozen trivia show hosted by Jeff D. Lowe
sponsored by all types of great sponsors
And I am a dozen fan
So I watch pretty much all the matches
So I've watched all of the honkers matches, this new iteration of it with Robbie and Gia and Clemer.
And they're incredible.
Well, Gia has never missed like a pop culture question in our life.
She's incredible at face mashups, celebrity face matchups.
Clemer's a robot.
He's a sports.
Clemer legitimately opens up cards.
Have you ever seen this?
He opens up baseball packs from like a random year, 1996.
Okay, we're here with 1996 tops.
And he just picks it.
And then he'll just read the play.
He'll look at the player and he'll just tell you a story about the player.
Oh, this was Jeremy Giambi.
He got drafted by the Oakland Athletics and it's crazy.
He doesn't read the backs of him.
He just tells you off the top of his head.
He's a robot.
He's a sports almanac.
He's like Frank the Tank.
He's a sports encyclopedia.
And we somehow beat that guy because he had the one-off day of his life.
He had a really bad match and we performed really well.
Like, I mean, you had the match of all time, the best match of all time.
We got lucky with a couple like on the nose guesses.
Like we got two points in the bonus round because I guessed it was Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Gardner.
Jennifer Gardner's ages combined.
And I did the math.
And you know what I realized?
You know when you just do simple math where you go like 55, 50, 48 and you put them all in a row.
You put the little plus line the bottom left.
You draw a line.
I didn't know what to do with all the numbers.
I forgot I'd do simple math.
If you put a pen and paper in front of me, I don't know I could do simple math.
If I did four, if I had four lines.
Carry the one.
And then what do you do?
You start adding them up?
No, because then you got like 400.
I did it, dude.
I was like five plus one.
It was too much for me.
Wait, wait, wait.
Let's say you have 55, 45, 42, 53.
Okay.
Right?
So you carry the one.
Now you have one and then a five, four, and a five.
What do you do with all those numbers?
You don't add them all up, do you?
Yeah, you do.
No, because that would be.
Oh, the one comes all the way down.
That's what the problem is.
The one's got to come down.
The one goes in front.
Because if you just add the one to the ones below it,
oh shit,
if you just add the one to the ones below it,
it becomes like six,
you know what I mean?
It becomes like 642 or whatever it is.
Oh, no.
Bro, bro, I don't know.
Hold on.
Do we have,
wait a minute.
Do we have to do simple math?
Because someone's going to crash their car
listening to this right now.
I'll do it on my phone.
No,
I'll draw it.
I'll draw it.
I'm trying to think now.
It's been so,
long since I've done math.
So if you watched a dozen matchup, I tried to do this.
And I ended up writing a number that I think was the simple math.
I crossed it out and just tried to blur it out whatever came to my mind.
And that ended up being the correct answer.
I had 153 written down.
It was wrong.
And 154 was right, but I throw it down.
Man, now you've got me confused.
I thought you just took the one all the way down.
You know?
No, I'm going to like Snapchat a black screen and then you can draw on it.
this is like, all right, so we're going to go one.
That's really interesting that I have no memory of how to do this.
Okay.
Oh, yeah, you're making this work right now.
You know?
All right.
Well, wait.
So, oh, man, my brain.
Isn't that hard?
Isn't that hard?
No, it's not.
Okay.
Five.
Um, oh, that's just 14.
So that's 145.
That's right.
But let's say you did this.
Right.
Because with that number, with those numbers,
that nobody knows what we're looking at
because we're not showing it to the screen.
Okay, okay, okay.
Let's say you did this though.
But, oh, now we're going to get to a point.
You know, what is going on?
You know, like, what do you do that?
What do you do with that now?
So I wrote 57, 48, 52.
All right, so 57 plus seven.
That's 17.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And now you throw that one up there, right?
Now you feel like you know what you're doing.
I think I'm on to,
now what do you do?
1, 6, 10, 157?
Right?
Yeah, I think that's right.
It's way easier, I guess.
Because you just bring it down.
And then if it's a number that's higher than nine,
you just put it at the bottom.
Right?
Yeah, that's probably the worst segment of four play history.
I think you just bring it down.
I don't know.
I must have just fucking,
I must have spazzed out when I was doing it.
Whatever happened.
It's a dozen.
You hear the fucking,
you hear like the clicking in your head
that you have five seconds left.
Whatever.
Yeah, it was actually way easier
I just did that. I think you just bring it straight down.
But still, regardless of what just transpired,
you had a great match. We won.
I think we're 17th in the rankings now.
Offensive player of the week I was.
Congratulations.
I mean, I love this fucking show.
I love the dozen.
I got an accolade.
You know, that's a little thing.
And I mean, I love doing that show.
I think we all love doing that show.
We're not great at it except when we beat the honkers.
I just said I can't do simple.
Simple math.
But we have fun when we do that show.
And I want to continue doing it.
I don't think we're going to make the tournament.
I think when they're filming it, I'm in Iowa for the Barstool Classic,
so I couldn't be there anyway.
But I just wanted to shed some light on that because that was fantastic.
That was an important moment for us.
A lot of fun.
Can't wait for the next one.
Barstool Sportsbook, an amazing sports book, the best sports book on my phone.
I have it right here.
Hands down.

You know what I mean?
That's gambling.
That's what it is.
And I think that we are just in a good spot for this week for AT&T, Byron Nelson.
And I think that the Barstall Sportsbook is incredible.
And Barstle Sportsbook is now offering $1,000 bonus for new players.
