Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, 4Play listeners, you can find us every Tuesday and Thursday on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. Hello, friends. We are back this week. We're just coming off of Pebble Beach. We are going into Riviera with Tiger Woods. We have our good friend Kevin Kisner on, who has probably his best appearance thus far. No doubt. He and I are in a little mini fight about a big fight this weekend, which is Ruffin Rowdy. His buddy's fighting. We have Mon, Trent, and I kind of drag him through the whole deal. it's a great episode. It's a great interview with kids. We got Frankie Pirelli is back for from the gallery.
Starting point is 00:00:35 But first, we got to tell you about Tommy John. Now, we've gone over this a couple times, and we cannot stress it enough. I started to get a couple tweets from people this week that are clearly starting to buy in that are like, wow, you guys absolutely were not kidding about the Tommy John. The Tommy John underwear is by far the most comfortable underwear I've ever worn in my entire life. On Saturday, last Saturday, we talked about the last show, how we were out of the waste management, Phoenix Open the entire day. the only option for me in the morning when I got up and knew that from about 5 a.m. until about, I don't know, 9 or 10 p.m. I'll be out in the sun.
Starting point is 00:01:08 I would be running, literally running, to try to get to the 16th hole. I would be sitting there. I would be standing. I would be cheering. I'd be buzzing around doing everything you could possibly do. I'd be out in the Phoenix, Arizona heat. The only, only possibility for me was my Tommy John underwear. They have unparalleled comfort.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Tommy John's innovative designs and patented fabrics ensure they, that your underwear will never ride up, the waistband will never roll down, and you will never get a wedgy. Best pair guarantee, if you do not love it on you, it is on them at Tommy John. Tommy John re-engineered underwear, so you never have to adjust, which is very, very nice. Yeah, it's very good, especially like you said, when you're doing a 12-hour, 14-hour day out in the sun. It just fits really, really nicely. They've got an entire line of comfortable clothing at Tommy John,
Starting point is 00:01:56 includes all kinds of undershirts that stay tucked in, socks that never, fall down. Just wait until you check out their t-shirts. I've talked about the very hot t-shirt that I wear in here sometimes. Rick says, I am stunting today. I do. That's my I'm stunting shirt. So this is precisely what you're going to get with Tommy John. Second skin T. Plus all Tommy John underwear is backed, like I said, by the best pair you will ever wear or it's free guarantee. So you have absolutely nothing to lose. Here's what you do. You hurry to Tommyjohn.com slash four. that is Tommyjohn.com slash F-O-R-E. You're going to get yourself 20% off of your first order.
Starting point is 00:02:34 That's Tommyjohn.com slash four for 20% off. Let's do this. We obviously have, as we mentioned, Kevin Kisner on this week, this is maybe, I mean, this is, I guess, the third time we've had him on. He's been great every time. This is maybe the funniest time, funniest that he's been thus far. He's fantastic. One of the best ball busters in the game.
Starting point is 00:02:53 He just going toe-to-to-to-to-to-with us. He and I have just been texting. mean things to each other for weeks now trying to get all the logistics sorted out Sometimes I'll see you walking around the office Like frustrated looking at your phone What's going on? Maybe he's having girl problems this and that I'll ask him it's fucking Kevin Kisner
Starting point is 00:03:09 Going at him Him and his buddies trying to get tickets Trying to get hotel rooms rough and rowdy The whole fucking deal So Kisner's buddy Bo Bo Hill is fighting In Rough and Rowdy on Friday Kiz is going he's going up there with a whole crew They got a private jet all this all that
Starting point is 00:03:23 I've been his you know His point of contact for all of this Bo's not up on the website, so he's got a whole text message of 15 guys. That's what I've been saying. I'm not a website guy. I'm sure there's a Rufferranoi website. But I don't think there's like a list of all the fighters. So I've been going back and forth with kids all the time.
Starting point is 00:03:41 He's getting it from his buddies. So then he comes at me and then I go to our guys and then I go back at kids. So we've been kind of laughing, kind of busts each other's balls, kind of getting frustrated with each other. We had kids on. We hashed all that out. We talked about his game. We talked about the President's Cup. We talked about the Georgia.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Old dogs. We talked about all kinds of stuff with kids. Phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal chat. Now, let's move on to the Pebble Beach, AT&T, Pebble Beach Pro Am this week. Started off with an absolute bang for your boys, for the Barstool crew, for the four-play crew. We had Jason Day, one of the biggest names in the entire game, who came in. They asked them, this is at the press conference. So I was just to set the stage. This had his press conference on Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:04:27 you know, he's in a room out in Monterey Peninsula, one of the holy grails of golf, in a press room full of all these golf reporters, some snobby, you know, whatever, stuffy golf reporters, and they ask him, something really simple, like, what are your thoughts on the popularity of golf? That was those, I think that's verbatim. That was the question. And he said this. But I feel what the PGA tour is doing with, you know, the new media outlets, such as like basketball sports, and all these kind of youngish, younger, you know, websites and Instagrams and all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:05:06 You know, like I said, I would look at Bastille all the time and look at, you know, there's stuff that they post. Some of it's, like, absolutely stupid, but some of it's actually quite amusing and funny. But it's stuff like that is what we need to, you know, get people or attract people to the game of golf. Now, there's a lot to pull out of that, but the first fact that he just dropped Barstool out of the clouds was appalling. Yeah, because whenever we have pro athletes who talk about Barstool during press conferences. This happens from time to time, but it's usually specifically about Barstool or maybe even about media. There's usually some sort of that mixed in, but he is being asked specifically about the popularity of the game and what are the things that they can potentially.
Starting point is 00:05:56 do to grow the game, hashtag grow the game. And he just flat out says Barstool Sports is one of these outlets that we need because they have a young crowd and we need to get younger if we want to keep growing. That is specifically what he said, and I've never seen anything like it from a caliber of a guy like Jason Day.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Unbelievable comment for us. Again, it wasn't, you know, if it was somebody like we said like kids, our boy who clearly he could just be throwing anything in anybody, he could pull it out of his ass, fine. And that'd be great. but Jason Day just dropping it out of nowhere. He just won two weeks ago at Torrey Pines.
Starting point is 00:06:31 It was fantastic. The second thing I was going to say was what you just said, Trey, which is that not only was he just, did he say Barstall's name, his message was literally this is what we need to help grow the game of golf. Barstle sports. Barstle sports. The crowd that they have, that's what we want. And we've had been on some, I will call it, uneasy footing with the PJ Tour.
Starting point is 00:06:51 But this is the kind of thing that we have always been saying, where it's like we have this audience and we love golf and we love PJ tour events and we love PJ tour players we want to bring that all together and that's what Jason Day is saying that the game needs when he is asked a vague question about the popularity of the entire fucking sport yeah it was great it was it was spot on and um the third thing he said that I was going to play out was that he said uh so he so he laughs okay at first he just laughs when he starts to go back to Barstool and then he says, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:26 I check Barstool all the time and he says it's absolutely stupid but quite amusing and funny. That went right on a T-shirt immediately. It's up now. It's already on a T-shirt. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Store it at Barstoolsports.com. It's up there. But that line is, I mean, we think, we try to, we conjure up ways all the time to try to describe what Barstool is to people that don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:46 By the common man, for the common man. That's been the long tagline, but absolutely stupid, but quite amusing and funny. Which is that also what that tells me is that Jason Day actually reads the side. He gets it. It would be one thing if he was like, yeah, Barstall is on there. They got some think pieces, some long form stuff, you know, some pretty clean cut stuff. If he had said that, it's like, no, that's not where. Absolutely stupid, but quite amusing and funny, is Barstool. That's spot on. So all around, this was just, this was great. This came out of nowhere on Wednesday. It was nice. It's nice to see somebody like Jason Day. Clearly familiar at Barstool. He likes it. It got you and I talking as it was happening because we were so shocked about, what do you think eventually led Jason Day to reading Barstool Sports? Because that's not something he just stumbles upon on himself.
Starting point is 00:08:28 Maybe he sees on Twitter. I don't know. The guys, right? The locker room. The guys in the locker room, they show him a blog. They have the app. They show him a video from our Instagram or something. And then he kind of navigates his way through there.
Starting point is 00:08:40 I was trying to take more credit than I probably deserve when I have a strange relationship with his wife, Ellie Day, on Twitter. I'm not sure. When it started or why it started. I was glad you said on Twitter at the end of that because you just, you still have a strange relationship. People can cut that however they want. But there was a, we've been going back and forth on Twitter about the Bachelor. That's what we always tweet back and forth about. I remember she was a fan of The Bachelor from back in the day and I would tweet at her.
Starting point is 00:09:05 And she would always very nicely tweet back and we would go back and forth about it. And I'm thinking maybe she was like, hey, look at these bars still guys. They're kind of funny. I don't think that that's outside the realm of possibility. Okay. Yeah, and obviously, you know, she's an Ohio girl, I believe. She is, yeah. So American Girl, you know, she's.
Starting point is 00:09:21 She might just know Barstool, even outside of just the Bachelor stuff. Probably. You're probably right, though. He was probably a locker room. I would imagine Barstool gets passed around every once in a while with something absolutely stupid comes across the site and those guys look at it. But funny and amusing. But quite amusing and funny. When you told me that, when you, we sit kind of kiddie corner to each other in the office, you take your headphones off.
Starting point is 00:09:43 I can kind of tell when you want to say something to me. So I take my headphones off. And you're like, Jason Day just said Barstville Sports at the press conference. I thought you had the wrong golfer. I thought you were talking about somebody else. Because Jason Day is a top tier. Everybody knows, holy shit golfer. And for him to just say the name of Barcelona Sports,
Starting point is 00:10:00 despite how big we've gotten, despite how much we've grown, despite how cool this company is, it's still awesome to hear a guy like Jason Day said. Yeah, it was just weird because sometimes people, you know, guys will comment on our stuff for a while before we hear from or whatever, and he just kind of dropped out of nowhere. So that was awesome. That was fantastic.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Tiger Woods back this week at Riviera. I do like that we're just kind of, in we're starting to settle into tiger woods it's just playing golf now he's going to be fine this isn't even a it's not a comeback now he's just back i mean he's just playing golf again yeah i i get less and less nervous about the injury thing is like you you said when he starts playing more consistently you don't think about it as much it's still in the back of my head but we are in the groove now where all right tiger's playing this week and let's hope he just makes the cut and plays well yeah you don't have to worry about all that other shit it'll be interesting watching and
Starting point is 00:10:46 play riviera um very renowned course in basically every category that you can imagine. The players all love it. Even the architect geeks love it. You know, it's L.A. There's going to be, they were talking to the golf channel last night. They're saying they're expecting massive crowds at this thing. DJ has been a force here.
Starting point is 00:11:07 And he just, you know, he's coming off at Pebble where he had another one of these where he probably everyone thought he was going to win. He didn't. He did win at Kabilua a couple weeks ago, I guess a month ago at this point now. So he'll obviously be playing well And he always plays well here Good field Tigers add into the mix
Starting point is 00:11:25 It benefits his foundation and all that So he's probably going to be a lock here For the foreseeable future As he continues to play Rory's playing DJ's playing Phil's playing Tiger's playing Like when the last time you think those four Playing the same tournament together
Starting point is 00:11:38 I don't know It's been a fucking long time Yeah that's a really good question I wish I'd look that up before I pose that question He's only played so many tournaments So it's been years crazy.
Starting point is 00:11:50 But it's going to be fun. And this, I mean, this event's fucking awesome anyways, because the course is so awesome. The fact that we're throwing Tiger in the mix,
Starting point is 00:11:57 it's great. I don't want to get complacent with Tiger in the sense that it's like, I want to try not to be frustrated that he's not playing well or if he's not playing well because I just want to be like, hey,
Starting point is 00:12:07 he's healthy and playing. Right. Going back to what we said before, it's a healthy complacency almost because you're just happy that things are happening. If he plays like shit, we can still be mad. I'll still be fucking nervous.
Starting point is 00:12:17 On the first team, When he tees up the first tee shot, I'm still going to be nervous. I was nervous every single shot when you played in Torrey Ponds. I know. I think it's going to get better, but you just don't know at this point. You just don't know. To kind of wrap up the pro-am out in Pebble, it's always super fun to watch those guys play those courses. Just kind of sitting down.
Starting point is 00:12:38 I was so hungover yesterday. So unbelievably hungover yesterday. And just tired from like my 4 a.m. night playing simulator golf and all that. Yeah. That I just, I didn't get out of bed the whole. day, but it was beautiful because I just had, I put the golf on there at Pabble, the gorgeous vistas. They did the whales. They did the, are they the seals?
Starting point is 00:12:58 The seals, yeah, they did the seals again. They were doing the seals flopping around. Ted Potter Jr. with an absolute stunner. Stunner, he fucking played against Dustin Johnson the whole day, didn't blink once. Yeah, it was weird because he came out with a bogey on the first thing. It was a three-jack bogey, and you're thinking like, oh, there goes that guy. Nope. He absolutely, from that point on, was pretty much flawless while DJ, you know, floundered a little bit.
Starting point is 00:13:26 The course, I want to say, and I've noticed this a lot. I feel like this year more so than the last couple at a lot of different venues thus far. The course was playing tough. I mean, guys were hitting wedges into greens even on like the seventh. I'm looking at like the fifth is obviously a much longer hole. I was playing like 205 or 210. Guys were hitting like six or seven irons in there. But the balls were landing on the front of the green and like bouncing over the
Starting point is 00:13:48 greens. Yeah, the greens were nuts. The putts that you would see they'd go, they'd slide, they'd go run out four or five feet. Yeah, the greens at Pebble 2 where they're really small, but they're very sneaky. Like, they got some serious slope to them. And they're playing that firm. So it was really fun to watch a lot of these guys trying to, they're so goddamn good. I mean, DJ hit a freaking three iron on the 60th, 317 yards yesterday.
Starting point is 00:14:10 And they hit 6 iron. That holds like 530, 540, something like that. Yeah. He hit 3 iron, 6 iron into the back middle of the green. I don't understand. of the announcers that get mad at that because there was some like announcers that were chirping that where it's like oh we got to roll back
Starting point is 00:14:24 the ball like why can't we just fucking enjoy that? The other thing is I thought that was a really bad time to drop it. It was DJ was the only one doing that. That's the thing. If you're right, if you're the only guy or one of the few guys that can do that, kudos to you. That's like a massive reward. It wasn't like Ted Bauer
Starting point is 00:14:39 Jr's going like driver driver trying to get there. Those two playing against each other was the perfect encapsulation of why everything is probably just fine. Yeah. Right. And it's, you know, there are other times there's an argument for it. We had Brandel out of here who didn't argue for it and did his Brandl thing. So it's become kind of this, you know, this pretty popular argument. Sure, some of it's pretty convincing, whatever.
Starting point is 00:15:00 But I thought that was a horrible time to drop it. I couldn't believe he said it. I couldn't believe they said it either. It can't like it was. I was like, no one else is doing that. We're in the middle of this unbelievable shot here. And it's going to be like people, everybody loves when things go really far. And it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:15:13 And then he's like, well, we should roll back the ball. And then it cut away. It's like, get the fuck out. That was, I did not like that. I thought that was a dog shit comment as well. You know how stupid I am? I was watching this weekend, and I was looking at Ted Potter's Wikipedia page because I don't know a ton about Ted Potter Jr.
Starting point is 00:15:26 His nickname's The Wizard. And I was like, well, what does that even make you sense? I'm guessing it's Harry Potter reference. You think so? Potter, Harry Potter, Ted Potter. It took me, I didn't understand it until, like, the tournament was over. He's got a great story where he, freak accident, like, stepped off a curb in Canada
Starting point is 00:15:44 and wrecked his ankle in 2014. and then had complications. It was supposed to be like a four-month thing. Had complications. And he was out for two years. How was that? You bang up your ankle. You're out two years.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Then he said after he won yesterday, awesome win, by the way. I can't get over how solid he was. It was fantastic. And he's hitting it. There are a couple holes. I think on the second hole, he was 48 yards behind DJ.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Yeah. 48 is insane. But he was saying even his ankle, he's like, my ankle still bothers me a lot today. I have to like, it's just part of my game now and all that, which is just, Crazy town. It is crazy town.
Starting point is 00:16:19 He's had an awesome story. He was one of those, you know, when you're watching DJ or watching Rory or watching Jason Day, Tiger, like, you always root for those guys just because they're magnetic and you just, this was one where I was pulling for Ted Potter. I mean, DJs won at Pebble a bunch of times. Yeah. He's played well there a ton of times. He's Dustin Johns.
Starting point is 00:16:37 He's got the greatest world life in the world. He's got Paulina. Shout out to Paulina. He just won a couple weeks ago. It's like he's Numero Uno in the world. I love DJ, but this one was that story. he's the nicest guy. He's kind of awkward, the Ted Bottagina guy,
Starting point is 00:16:49 kind of awkward in his interviews and stuff. Yeah, I love that. Big awkward guy. Oh, huge. I love it. I'm going to root for you all that. We're going to get to the awkwardness here with Clint Eastwood here in a second, but I love the awkwardness of Ted Poder Jr.
Starting point is 00:17:00 His poster on an interview, I couldn't tell if he was about to cry or if that's how he always talks. Now, I think he was, like, crying. He was, like, choked up. But normally when somebody gets choked up, they have to stop and kind of collect themselves. He just, he did like a three-minute interview at that same. level of I'm about to cry my face off, but I'm just going to be able to hold it here.
Starting point is 00:17:20 It was one of the more, maybe more amazing than the win. No, I agree with that. It was weird, but it was, I think he's just, he's kind of an awkward guy. Okay. In a great way. And like the most endearing way ever. I mean, hate to say this, but he's like, he's like a common guy. And he's stared down number one in the world. That's our guy. That guy could do it. Maybe one of us could do it. He's the, he's the wizard, as I learned. A wizard. I didn't know that. Which is like, nobody calls him that. Nobody calls him. Did that once yesterday?
Starting point is 00:17:47 I think I might have heard it once. But when I hear the wizard, I think of Ozzy Smith, baseball, which is like a huge honor. Like you, Ozzy Smith is a motherfucker. Like he's so good you give it. He's the wizard out there. And then Ted Potter Jr. just gets, he gets the wizard because his last name is Potter. That's incredible. Two things happen at Pelop Beach that happen every year.
Starting point is 00:18:05 We can, we'll be doing however long we do this podcast, we can say this every year. One, Bill Murray did something wacky. Classic. And two. I hate when he does something wacky now. I fucking hate it. He's just annoying. Bill Murray jumped the shark like 10 years ago.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Nobody's willing to say it. And the thing about when he plays at Pebble Beach is he could do anything and the galleries will think he like reinvented comedy. And he will just, they will laugh and they'll laugh and they'll go, boop, bo, bo, bo, and then they'll just, they'll laugh and laugh. They'll rip their clothes off. Bill Murray, get the fuck off the screen, dude. Like, you're, you've been done for 12 years at the Pebble Beach pro apps. It's true. And he's a funny guy.
Starting point is 00:18:41 He's earned everything. Wacky outfit, a couple wacky comments in the, you know, the. the geriatric crowd goes like crazy. It's so true. It's crazy. Very, very over. Number two, and I actually like this one, since we were talking about awkward interviews,
Starting point is 00:18:54 every single time they roll out Clint Eastwood to talk to Nick and Jim for what feels like four hours, but it's usually five minutes, is some of the most electric television. Because he says two words, Jim tries to cue him up with a bunch of things to say, and he's like, yeah. Yeah. One of the times when they cut to the camera on him,
Starting point is 00:19:12 he was just eating. He was like popping pistachios in his mouth It's my favorite part of the entire broadcast It is incredible His deadpan too And it's like He does it in such an intimidating Like
Starting point is 00:19:24 He's Clint Eastwood way That it's like He's just that's his only character at this point Well I thought he's gonna pull out like an old Western pistol And just start like shoot Well and apparently he was Nick Or Nick Fado was his caddy When they had played a couple days earlier
Starting point is 00:19:38 So he was the only two things that he said He kept chirping Fado up being he's like Oh yeah my catty's here still. It was like his go-to. Yeah. Yeah. Clint Eastwood. God bless you. However much longer you're with us. I do love the pebble pro-am, but it is corny as hell.
Starting point is 00:19:53 There's a lot of corny stuff. Well, Bill Murray ruined it. Bill Murray straight up ruined it. I think he's ruined the tournament for me. I hate when he comes on the TV. And I don't dislike Bill Murray. It's just like, dude, get out of here. How's he still doing it? I don't know. It's crazy. He's getting up there, too. Not as
Starting point is 00:20:09 up there as Clint Eastwood. No, Clint's fucking. I think if Clint Eastwood just dies, God forbid. They could still roll them out there, and it would be the exact same segment. Jesus. I'm just, I mean, I love, I don't know. I don't disagree.
Starting point is 00:20:22 I think, yeah, it would be the same exact interview. Whale shots, Clinice would be in barely alive, and Bill Murray doing something wacky. That's a petal beach bro. Wacky and wacky outfit on, wacky, everything. All right. Are we ready to move on it from the gallery? Yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 00:20:37 From the Gallery with Frankie Borelli is brought to you by Four Hems, a new wellness brand for men. Here's a problem. 66% of men lose their hair by the age of 35. Starting point is 00:24:42 First of all, frankly, you guys to have you back. You're gone for, like, a month for the Super Bowl. Feels real good to be back on the sticks. You look great. Thanks, man. How was Minnesota? Minnesota was awesome. I love those trips.
Starting point is 00:24:52 I got to go to the game this year, so that was pretty damn cool. Yeah, I did realize that. No dog in the fight, nothing. You're just at the Super Bowl. Yeah, I mean, I filmed them every single play, which was, it was something to do that. I mean, it's real hard to have, number one, space on your phone to be able to take a recording. of every single play that's done in a Super Bowl. Because in a Super Bowl, any play can be a big play.
Starting point is 00:25:15 And you have to get their reaction because that's why I'm there. I don't just get tickets on the 50-yard line at Super Bowl for free. I know that play because when we're at the waste management, I videowed every single T-shot on 16. Because if a whole one happened, I wanted to capture that. But you may have had more time to realize, all right, like, it's not a good video. I'm going to delete it.
Starting point is 00:25:33 I delete it right away, yeah. See, I was like, I had to take the video, look at it, cut it up, get one up on Instagram story, which is only 15 seconds, and then get one up on Twitter, so with captions, Instagram story. And then by the time I did all that for each play, because it had to be in time, right? Because whenever you watch it play, you want to go straight to, like, our social media to see how people are reacting.
Starting point is 00:25:54 By that time, the next ball was already in the air. I'm not kidding. At one point, I was shaking. Sounds like a great trip to the Super Bowl. But then I got to see, like, Alshon Jeffries catch. Like, I looked to the left, and like, that one I actually saw. So you're essentially watching the game. game through a phone through your co-workers.
Starting point is 00:26:10 No, I got really good towards the end. Like the trick touchdown play, this is the last thing we talked about the football. That's okay. People like football. The football, sports. Grass. Sports stuff.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Yeah, grass. Football's number one sport in the car. Grass cleats balls. Yep, nice. You're trying to relate it all to golf. Yes. So the trick play with foals, right? That one I had just, I got a nice spot where I knew that they were all going to be in
Starting point is 00:26:34 frame and I just watched the whole entire field, which is nerve-wracking because honestly, I could have just looked back. on my phone and I was just filming. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it was cool. I mean, I got to see Smittya cry and happiness. That was a cool moment to be at. Nice.
Starting point is 00:26:46 It is, it's amazing how much you lose, how quickly you lose space on your phone when you take videos. I remember we were at the Army Navy game two years ago, and Dave was like, I want you to run around during the whole game and get all kinds of videos of the crowd and everything. And, like, my second video in, it was like, you just don't have space. And I was like, what do you mean I don't have space? The craziest thing is something hit me the night before. I had about 13 gigs on my phone open, which I thought was like a lot, right?
Starting point is 00:27:15 Because to get to 13 gigs, I deleted maybe like 120 videos off my phone, right? I mean, I'm talking like my niece being born. Gone. Gone. Like, my grandfather, like, I had a collage of him before he passed away. Like, I deleted that for an ounce on Jeffrey touchdown. Gone. Like, it's just gone, right?
Starting point is 00:27:31 I mean, I'm sure they're on Facebook somewhere, like my aunt put him up or something. But anyway, I did that, right? And then I'm sitting down the night before and I'm looking at my phone. Like I had two Mofi's that could charge 38 hours each. I had 100 hours of battery on me. I knew I was covered there. Then all of a sudden I look at my phone and I'm like, you know what? I'm just going to keep deleting more.
Starting point is 00:27:49 I got out to like 22 gigs, right? Of free space. The last video I took was the Dave was the Dave emergency press conference. At the end of the video, once he started walking away, I got the notice that my phone was out of space. Wow. Oh, wow. So, and I thought. thought that that didn't record the emergency press conference, but it did. It stopped it.
Starting point is 00:28:11 That would have been. I thought it just deleted the whole video because it didn't have enough space, but just stopped. I live in the end of your life. My insides almost, I don't know what is underneath. I guess I got my, my, my, my long. You look like you're touching a long. My lung almost exploded through my body. I felt like it was pushing my heart up into my neck. I could feel a pulse in my neck. Let's get into some golf. We've got, the first one is from a person, a pletron named Frankie. Great name. This one is about a guy
Starting point is 00:28:38 Matching up all the same brands When he plays, he says, quote, One of my friends always wears clothes that are all the same brands Whenever he plays, he has three different pairs of golf shoes To match all of his gear. He wears the same brand shirt, shorts, underwear, socks, and shoes. Is he an asshole or am I the asshole for not matching all of my brands? And the underwear's a little much.
Starting point is 00:28:58 That's a nice touch. Even just... What are you getting Callaway underwear? Even purposely matching, like, I would say even like, even your shorts and your shirt is not like a wild move but purposely doing it is a little like I notice when I don't do it though
Starting point is 00:29:16 it sticks out when you don't do it so it's like I have a shirt yeah to me I think it does especially if the logo is a very present so if you're wearing just your regular regular just like college shirt which sometimes you can get like a country club or whatever you can wear whatever pants you want even if that country club is sponsored by a shirt but I think if you're wearing
Starting point is 00:29:31 like a very prominent shirt and very and like and the pants have like the logos on the back. So you're wearing just a Nike shirt and you're gonna, you gotta put on like Nike pants. Like for me Adidas pants are very, very noticeable. They have the three stripes on the back by where the belt is. I think that you have to
Starting point is 00:29:47 match that with the Adidas shirt. So I guess I would say three is then crazy. Three is like weird. Three's crazy. Well, like a hat a shirt and a pants are the same. What about a belt? It's kind of wild. I think a three. If it's part of the three. You've got shirt, belt, pants, or shorts all the same. That's
Starting point is 00:30:05 like you look like like you're you're trying to fucking be the guy that looks like he's on tour well as you say does that person's level play play into it like if he's a really good golfer then it's fine if he's a shitty golfer it's definitely not fine but if he's a a pretty good golfer depends what he's wearing i think i mean you still you always you always get away with it way if you're way but i wouldn't say pretty good i mean like if you're going to go threes up if you're going to go threes you got to be like i'm not talking pretty good you got to be fucking sick yeah you got to be legit you have to look the way you play you've played some college golf, you can maybe, like, make it on the pro level.
Starting point is 00:30:36 Like, you're fucking good, in my opinion. Especially if you're throwing in a white belt to match, like, a white shirt, you better be fucking stroking the ball. Yeah, I feel like the white belt last couple years is phased out. Yeah. I still, I don't mind it. I think it looks really good certain times. The reason I bring up the white belt is because I do have one full Nike outfit with a belt.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Everything. That's just your Nike. You ever, I've only worn it once. I think I had a golf outing. How did you feel? I felt good. Okay. How have you not worn it since then?
Starting point is 00:31:03 That's great. Because was that a golf, especially because of what you just said, you have to be playing really well. And I don't want to be that asshole. It just shoots like a hi-80. And like, this guy should have been shooting under par. Like, what is he doing? So when I wore it to this, I think it was like the Borrelli's golf outing, actually, my own golf outing. Because honestly, I can play however the fuck I want it, my own golf outing.
Starting point is 00:31:23 And I'm going to look good. We had a guy at the club that I belonged to for a couple years in Boston, who is the nicest fucking guy in the world. He's like this 62-year-old man. nicest guy in the world, and he wore head-to-to-tow Ricky Fowler Puma stuff. That's ridiculous. Yeah. You see, like, children walking around on that. He would legit be like green shirt, green hat, green pants, or like even white pants with green on them and stuff.
Starting point is 00:31:52 All Puma. Head-to-to-to-puma with shoes, everything. He had the orange. He had the fucking green. He had everything. It's crazy. Mr. Puma. I mean, it looks like a nightclub walking around the golf court.
Starting point is 00:32:02 It was lab by the same. nicest guy in the world's super chatty too so we never want to say it he'd be like he's okay he's like a 10 or 11 not gonna be walking around like a 62 year old guy all right 10 or 11 that that's like I mean he's playing well he's playing good golf for your 60 or something however he was shooting if you're shooting in the low 80s high 70s and you're dressed to impress I like no one's gonna say a word to you no nobody would ever say a word to this guy he was the nicest fucking guy we love him that fucking but man it was just we could never bring it to say so I think an age a big part of it too like 62 years old, like let the guy do whatever the fuck you want.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Totally, but then it even made it more absurd the look that he was a 62 year old guy. True, because it's like 11 year olds at the golf tournament, and then our 62 year old buddy, Ben. Just loves Ricky. You know what? I have- I have a friend that my friend Mike
Starting point is 00:32:50 is kind of a bigger guy, and he wears, sometimes... You're fat, Mike. Yeah, he's chubby. Sorry, Mike. When he, when he, like, wants to play a good round, now that I'm thinking about it, He wears like a bright, a bright neon blue Puma shirt, and he wears his neon blue Puma hat.
Starting point is 00:33:09 He doesn't match the pants ever because he's big, and he has, like, the cancels. He'll come onto a golf course with the shorts with the, what am I blanking on this wear, with just like huge pockets? Cargo shorts. Cargo shorts. So he'll match up with the cargo shorts. So at least he has that, like, common man stuff to him.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Okay. But he always, always, when I know he wants to play well, he'll come. Is it when he wants to or when he, like, thinks he's going to play well? When he thinks he's going to play well, I played like Win Watch of them before. And it's like it's a big deal of him. It's like a really nice golf course to him, right? He usually plays like local public courses.
Starting point is 00:33:40 He's showing up in that. That's his shirt. He's playing like another level up, big day. Yes, the neon comes out. I don't hate that. This one should be a quick one. This from Jordan, who says does a hole in one on a simulator round count. The only reason I really bring it up is because I played a lot of simulator golf is past.
Starting point is 00:33:58 I saw that all over Instagram story. I mean, I could not look at it. I guess I follow multiple people that were there. Yeah, that's true. I mean, I couldn't look at Instagram server that's all you guys. You saw every single shot. And it's one of those things when you're doing it. You're like, everybody's got to know about this.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Oh, it looked awesome. It had a bar. It's a fucking bar. This is the golf Manhattan guy who's a huge stool. Yeah. And so we went there like Friday night. We played after work Friday. And then we made, this was awesome, but also like kind of a crazy move is that
Starting point is 00:34:25 afterwards at like 1130 when our round was over. You know, the place closed like 11. And after the, he's like, do you guys want to play like 18 more? Jesus. We were like, yeah. So we were there until four in the morning. Wow. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Four in the morning. Did you bring your own clothes? Oh, yeah. Now, we didn't do the dress thing. Some people like dress like you're going to play golf. We didn't. But I've done that move before. Did you do your rotation?
Starting point is 00:34:49 Just one glove. It's inside air conditioning. Hmm. Hmm. That's interesting. When you'd think your hands would sweat? No, I mean, it was nice. It was like a little nice refreshing.
Starting point is 00:34:58 I had to. had multiple gloves. I didn't need to use it. I can't imagine the air inside there would be any different than being... No, but what I also said was that in, like, when I play late fall golf and stuff, I don't do that. I don't need to do that. Was it cool in there? Yeah, they have, like, a nice fan. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Oh, yeah. I mean, is there... Very interesting. Sounds like a very skeptical. No, no, I just, I'm just trying to... I, well, I'm like a girl. I still... I still don't...
Starting point is 00:35:24 Yeah, no, we just played nine holes. Oh, it... I thought you were fully committed to the three... Love Wife at all times. I thought maybe you get through... No, I've said that it's a summer summer move. Anytime it's really hot out...
Starting point is 00:35:36 I also picture an indoor thing being very hot and steamy. That wasn't bad. Okay. Are you good on? Yeah, I am. And just to go back to the original question, no, it does not count.
Starting point is 00:35:45 No, my dad has one and it does not count. Wow, does it. He doesn't count, but... Shout out to St. Andrews again. Fucking... Cedar Rabbit St. Andrews is very famous. But the one thing I would say is that it doesn't count, but I think if someone ever asked you,
Starting point is 00:35:57 you have a whole and one, you go, no, but... I did get a whole one. Come on, pro. I think you would say that every time. No, this little white dot on a screen. I think you would say that every time. No. Someone could just program that to go in.
Starting point is 00:36:10 For all you know, they were just fucking with them. Program that to go in. What do you? It's a screen. You playing with a bunch of coders now? You can't. It's just programming the simulator. Like that hole could just be like every time the ball hits the screen, the ball goes in the hole.
Starting point is 00:36:20 No, no. That stuff, it's accurate enough. You got to put a good swing on it. If it goes in, it would be so thrilling. Look at the video of Speed when he got one. It was so thrilling. I thought that was ridiculous. Even if you do say the but
Starting point is 00:36:31 And you're going to give that comment And it has to be sarcastic It can't be like dead serious You can't be like but I dig it one on a simulator You gotta be like but I got one at the simulator And they'll laugh at you You all laugh together and it'll be fine Agree but you're saying it because like
Starting point is 00:36:46 It's in your brain means something I agree with that In my opinion This one's from Paul His question basically is if we're only allowed To go to one of these two tournaments this year the Masters or the Waste Management, which would it be? Now, let me put my two cents in here real quick.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Obviously, the Masters is the Masters. So if you only got to go to one of the two as like your first time ever or whatever, it's no-brainer the Masters. However, going to the waste management is such a different experience. The way that we did it with the early morning, with being in the bleachers all day, you don't have to pay. I mean, the Masters, unless you get the lottery, which is really hard to get. I've been trying every year for 10 years.
Starting point is 00:37:27 I've never even got close. Unless you get the lottery, it's like $6, $700 a day. So if you maybe went for like one or two days down there with your buddies, you're in Augusta, which is a dog shit town. So I think if you've been to both before, in terms of pure fun, I think you're probably going to have more pure fun doing what we did at waste management because it was the most fun we've ever had ever. But it's, I don't know how you don't go to the Masters.
Starting point is 00:37:56 No, it's waste management. I think it's for guys are a, yeah. Yeah. Again, I kind of do too. What goes into this question, though? He's saying if Prez only lets you go to one tourney a year, what are you going to choose? Does that mean like he's paying for it? He's giving, like, is this part of, is this part of like the job?
Starting point is 00:38:13 Yeah, I mean, he phrased it like that. I guess I was just trying to like move it towards more of like a just like general discussion about the two tournaments. Because, no, the only reason I bring that part up is because, like you said, it's impossible to get to the master. So if someone's sending me there, I'm going to choose that every single. a year. I can get to the waste management on my own anytime I want. I can just book a trip of my buddies and just go Saturday and Sunday. Yeah, right. No, that's true.
Starting point is 00:38:35 Which is why it's actually more of an appeal because you can just go do it. Right. But someone sending you each year, like if Dave was to tell you, all right, guys, you get to choose between the waste manager and the mess for the next 10 years I'm going to send you there. Oh, I'm going to the master. That's a no-brainer. Because you can do both. But the one thing that's, you know, like it's different to
Starting point is 00:38:51 the master's because we wouldn't be able to have our phones out. We can't, like, cover it. I mean, I haven't talked to you guys since you guys got back. I mean, I listened to podcast. It was unreal, but I mean, it looked on, it looked on. It was insane, Frankie. I mean, I can't tell you how many texts I got from my friends saying, like, if we don't book, like, a guy's trip to this golf tournament soon, like, what are we doing? Yeah, every video we would post, there was, like, guys under it in the comments. Like, if we don't go to this, then we like, everybody doing. How can you be a fan of drinking, a fan of golf, a fan of
Starting point is 00:39:18 golf, a fan of live sporting events, and an American, and not go to this golf tournament? And the other thing is that if, you know, and this is, if you're a heterosexual male, You're also going to see just It's crazy An insane amount of You know Beautiful women woman around So it was just
Starting point is 00:39:36 Everything that goes into it is It's a spectacular event It really is And plus if you bring your sticks there You're in freaking Scottsdale Arizona So you can just play around 81 and sunny every day With like no wind
Starting point is 00:39:45 But it's also not sticky hot It was like it's not humid Right It's like that dry heat It's just beautiful Did you get sunburn No we were very good about it We were smart about it
Starting point is 00:39:54 Because you're out in the sun all day Usually I forget I have my classic master's tan from my... We did a double latherer on Saturday, which is... I don't know if I've ever done that before. I did a double lather ones of SPF 100 in Florida, Pompano Beach. Shoutout. I mean, I am pasty.
Starting point is 00:40:08 You were like hurting the sun, sending that shit back. I actually think I did damage to my skin by putting that much sunscreen on. 100? We have 30 and we... No, I found 100. Oh, yeah. We had 30. And S. S.C.F 100 is a real thing. I think if you do research on SPF, I think the numbers mean how long it will last.
Starting point is 00:40:26 minutes-wise of its top strength. But I could be a thousand percent wrong. That sounds very wrong. It's something weird like that? I don't know if that's correct. I think it's apex of strength. It will last for 100 minutes. And then at like at minute 101, it's like loses a little bit.
Starting point is 00:40:44 You know what? It has like a half-life. I could have just, I mean, I could just sit down that. I'm looking at SPF is a relative measure of how long a sunscreen will protect you from ultra-violent B rays. But it doesn't give you... How long? How long?
Starting point is 00:40:56 How long? But it doesn't give you, I'm just assuming it's minutes? That seems. It seems wildly, like, how the fuck do you know, like you said, 105 or 100? Right, because I've always thought if you have, you know, if you. Oh, here we go, here we go. A 30 SPS sunscreen would provide 30 times the protection of no sunscreen. So I'm in, when I started reading that, I thought I was right.
Starting point is 00:41:18 And as I got through that definition, I realized that was wrong. You can definitely hear. You can hear when I said that means. You go, here it is. Yeah, when I got to the part, that means 30 times a little wrong. Yeah, I was wrong. You were just wrong. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:30 Although this definition that sounds like you were kind of right. I don't know. It's confusing. I will see. Maybe the SPF people hit us up. Tell us what the hell we're doing. Chuck asks. Rider Cup, Tiger Woods, three options.
Starting point is 00:41:41 One, he makes the team on his own merit. Just qualifies for the Ryder Cup. Two, he's a captain's pick. Or three, he does not play in the Ryder Cup. Frankie? He's got to be there, right? So number three is out. I think the way he's going this year, all the buzz about him.
Starting point is 00:42:00 If he's not there, there's something wrong, right? Yeah. I would say if he's not there, he's either injured or he's playing horrific. I think he's a captain's pick. I think they make a whole big deal about it. I think so, too. I think it's a captain's like, oh, and with like our last pick, like, why don't we just bring over, like, the best golfer in the world?
Starting point is 00:42:18 Yeah, I think if he's healthy and playing, even kind of how he is right now, which is, like, not phenomenal, but, like, fine. I think he's a shoe in for a captain's pick. I mean, I don't know how you don't. How do you not have him in the presence of other golfers? It just helps your team just perform better, just having him around. I mean, every sense.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Yeah, but I mean, then the argument would be you just make him a captain, an assistant captain, like he's been the last couple of years. Right. True. Which we don't want to see. But I think, too, like, he's going to, he'll be a lobby. If he goes to Furek and says, like, you should pick me, he's getting picked. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:55 I mean, Freerick's not going to come back with no. Right, correct. Like, if he in any way is healthy, if he's healthy and says, I want to play in the Ryder Cup, he's in the Ryder Cup. Which Jim fucking Furik? And I go, like, eh, sorry, Eldrick. Like, I can see in a-
Starting point is 00:43:09 I don't know, dude, fucking Kevin Kisner's playing okay. Furik giving out, like, after this is all said and done, he comes out with, like, maybe he writes a book or something. And in the chapter where Tiger Woods asked him, told him, I can see it just being so dramatic. Like, they're at a restaurant. And he just writes, like, from the darkness of the restaurant, swept up Tiger Woods.
Starting point is 00:43:25 And he just, like, put a note on my table just saying, like, I'm in. Yeah, correct. Just I'm in. And just walked and just floated away. He has to be there. It's really a number writer. And then this guy had a follow-up question. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:43:39 I was hoping you were going to skip that. That is, if we get a Tiger versus Rory, what does Trent do? Well, previously we had this conversation when it was Rory about Rory. I had eventually relented. I can't speak. What? Relented and said that. I am rooting for America.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Oh, you have backpedaled on that. If you go back and listen to it, I strain over it, I stress over it, and I eventually say I would root against Rory. So I would obviously root for TIGER. Then I thought some stuff on Twitter where you kind of like were like, yeah, I might root for Rory. No, I think I've always been pro-America, but it takes a lot to get it out of me. Because I love Rory. I really do. So how do you feel about Rory five-putting and missing the cut?
Starting point is 00:44:24 I didn't feel great about that. And no one should because it's better when he plays well. Yeah, I agree. That was sad. That'd be electric though. Tiger versus Roy, that's like that Nike commercial. Yeah, I know. That'd be awesome.
Starting point is 00:44:35 Last one, this one's from Eddie. It's a little bit long, but it was unbelievably interesting because we obviously have Tiger back this week. He goes into kind of this long thing, and he basically says that he has a major issue with the golf coverage because whenever they show the ground level view of tiger putting, parentheses, when all you can see is the putter in the ball. and eventually the hole, but you can't actually see it. He said he misses the butt every time. To the point where 100% of the time, he says it's like a four-footer, it could be a 10-footer, it can be a 12-footer.
Starting point is 00:45:06 He gets up and walks out of the room because he knows the outcome and he starts yelling at the TV because it's so outrageous. It's so crazy because I definitely do notice this, but I've never-wased. I think I noticed that too. Oh, yeah. When I read this, I was like, that fucking view. Every time they pan to that view, I say in my head like, Oh, shit. Right.
Starting point is 00:45:25 Like, he never makes it. Because all of a sudden, you see, like, the break. You see the break so much. Like, oh, my God, he pulled that right away. Yeah. And you can't see the hole. No. You can only see it's Tiger and the ball.
Starting point is 00:45:35 And they're like, the cameraman is like laying on the fucking green basically. And you can just see, and you see it and you never falls out of view. Never. But for other people, it does. Yeah, just for Tiger. Because I feel like when Speed does it, it's like awesome because they do it on this long put and it just disappears. Yeah. But yeah, Tiger definitely.
Starting point is 00:45:53 I definitely, definitely noticed that. It's like a four-footer and I'm like, please, like, keep the bird's eye. You keep the bird's eye. And they pan over and I'm like, oh, shit. Like, no chance this goes in. I wonder if we look back at all of Tigers' incredible putts over his career. If any of them start out with the ground view, I would assume probably not. Probably not.
Starting point is 00:46:11 You can always see the hole. Right. When they see the hole, he's fine. When you cannot see the hole for whatever, no matter what view, whatever, when you can't see the hole on a tiger put, they like the coverage it's like uh it's like a it's like yelling fucking shut out to the goalie in the third period he just he's got no chance oh man i don't know what it is i gotta keep an eye off for this yeah so this week keep your eye out for that uh great observation from eddie that's it from frankie we appreciate you hopping in now we've got kevin kisner who of course his boy bow is fighting
Starting point is 00:46:42 in the rough and rowdy uh this friday night pretty bad doesn't know rough and rowdy is of course amateur boxing basically a bunch of fucking hillbillies fighting each other in West Virginia this Friday. Kiz is going to be there. We've had a lot of drama going back and forth. His boy, Bo is fighting. We're going to talk all about it. All right.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Next up, we've got Kevin Kisner. So our boy, Kiz, you know, all of his pals, a bunch of her stoolies. They loved Rough and Rowdy. For anybody that doesn't know. Rough and Rowdy is. Barstool owns Rough and Rowdy. It is amateur boxing in these small towns across the United States with these guys with fantastic backstories, all kinds of different backstories.
Starting point is 00:47:23 And all they want to do is they want to get in the ring in front of thousands of people and on paper view in front of tens of thousands of people. And they want to fight somebody. They just want to fight. They want to fight for their pride, for their girls, for their buddies, whatever. Well, yeah, for these guys, some of these guys, I don't even think it's about the crowd. They just, like what you said, they want to fight for the pride. They just want to fight for the fucking fun of it.
Starting point is 00:47:43 They just want to fight. Kisner's boy, Bow Hill. They call them B-M-F-A. Bo, Motherfucking Hill. He's in. He's fighting. Kiz and his whole crew, they're all going up there. They got nine guys.
Starting point is 00:47:57 They got like a private jet. Kisner's taking him up there. They got hotel rooms. They're sitting. He had me getting him tickets, which we talk about. We kind of argue about. We go back and forth about. The point is, Kiz's boy's going to be there.
Starting point is 00:48:09 His crew, his whole crew is going to be there. We've also got $20 chef against our boy Smitty. In the main event, rough and rowdy. It's just $9.99, which is absolutely crazy town that rough and rowdy is only that much. If you get it before the day of the fight, it's $9.99. If you get it the day of, which is Friday night, it's this Friday night. It goes up to $15.99. It's really crazy, Trent, to think that people will pay like $99.99 for all these different fights.
Starting point is 00:48:39 And I think part of this is that people think 40 fights sounds like an intimidating number in terms of watching something. But what people don't understand if you didn't watch the first one or the one we did. originally. It's that these things go bam, bam, bam, because they're knocking people out. They're short rounds. You got Dave Portnoy on the call. It's very, very entertaining and very fast pace, which I think is one of the best parts of Rough and Rowdy. It's incredible.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Like you said, they're one minute round, so these things cruise through. You see a ton of knockouts because these people don't know what the fuck they're doing. You should get a bunch of amateur guys out there just swinging haymakers at each other. The crowd's going crazy. We've got ring girls. It's nuts. So here's where you go to get it.
Starting point is 00:49:16 Rough and Rowdy brawl.com. That's Rough, the letter in Rowdy, which is R-O-W-W-D-Y-Brawl.com. Rough and Rowdy Brawl.com. Go there, get the fight. Make sure you get it before Friday night. Then it's only $9.99 if you get it the day of Friday, it's $15.99. I cannot explain to you how much more worth it this thing is than a lot of these $100 fights that you buy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:41 This is just, it's nonstop action all night. We got Dave and them on the call. Pat McAvieve he's going to be on the call. It's an absolute scene. And then at the end of the night, you get to watch Smitty and $20 chef fight each other. It's unbelievable. Smitty's our guy. Yep.
Starting point is 00:49:54 We're team in this office. It has very much turned into a partial H-Q versus Barcelona heartland thing. So everyone around here is room for Smitty. Kiz is going to be there. His boy's fighting. Well, it's going to do it right now. This is Kevin Kisner. What's up, man?
Starting point is 00:50:09 Shilling, what's going on with you? We're just hanging. I'm here with Trit Daddy. What's up, Kiz? What's up, Big Dog? Not much. You bring your ass to West Virginia. I should hang up now.
Starting point is 00:50:22 I told you he's feisty about West Virginia. He is. He's very feisty. I'm fucking lit about that. Let's fucking go. Yeah, you should be fired up. You got all this negativity going about West Virginia. You've got to be, kids, you've got to be all positive right now.
Starting point is 00:50:37 I don't have any negativity. I just get hounded with these fucking questions all day and I get tired of them. I know. It's like these kids from South Carolina. I've never been out of the fucking state before. They're all jacked up to. They're like, fuck, I'm going on a proud plane of Western Virginia. I got to know everything.
Starting point is 00:50:57 He's fighting. He's all set. We are, I mean, we're kind of already recording. Do you want us to start over? You want to just roll? Just roll. So. I don't know how to drag and act.
Starting point is 00:51:08 Whatever we're going to do. Oh, yeah. So let's get into this. Kizz's boy, Bo, Bo, B-M-F-H, fighting in rough and rowdy. you boys so I guess this all started during the last rough and rowdy December Christmas time you boys are fucking going crazy all your South Carolina crew
Starting point is 00:51:29 Bose like I'm fighting now we are in a situation where you guys are all going up you got the private jet all set he is fighting but you guys are relentlessly hounding me about is he on the website I don't run any fucking websites kids What do you do? Just have some weird on his radio show
Starting point is 00:51:53 And come on me at 9 a.m. every once in a while That's pretty accurate. Me and 271-year-old Jewish guys at 9 a.m. And before that, what do you do? Because I just started like 10 days ago. He knows a lot about you. Kiz has got you cornered. He's like a sneaky stoolie creeping everything that we do.
Starting point is 00:52:11 He's chirped me today. Today we're up there. We do three hours out, three hours back on the bus. to do some Winter Olympics filming. Kids text me. We were going back and forth. We're bitching about the fight. His buddies are badgered him.
Starting point is 00:52:23 I'm like, leave me the fuck alone. I'm trying to grind, get you guys tickets. He goes, grind your head fucking Winter Olympics all day. I wish I could grind like that for one day in my life. You play golf for Olympics. Yeah, well, just come hang out with me for a day and see if it's called golf. So, Bo, let's talk about Bo. Let's talk about your boy.
Starting point is 00:52:45 Is he jacked up? Has he been training? Is he ready to rock? Dude, he's Jack. I have to listen to it every day. I got nine dudes coming with me, and it's on a group thread, and it's just relentless, relentless text about it all day every day. He's a pretty big boy, right?
Starting point is 00:53:04 Yeah, he probably rolling there about 240. How tall is he? He's probably 6'3. That's a big guy. He's going to be laying haymakers on somebody. I hope we put him in there with, like, midget and we just let him destroy the shit out of this guy.
Starting point is 00:53:20 I will say with you know, the way that we run the rough and rowdy, he could be in there with anybody. And if he's in there with somebody small, I've seen a couple of these videos. Bo shoots me his videos on Facebook. I get Facebook messages, which is great.
Starting point is 00:53:36 Because fucking nobody on earth talks to me on Facebook. I go on it like once a week. And I get messages from Bo of him like punching bags and doing like backflips and shit in his basement. Just destroying the punching bag, letting you know about it, Rick. So your whole crew is going up. You got nine guys. We got you ticket, seats.
Starting point is 00:53:58 What are you guys expecting in West Virginia? I mean, is this place going to be much different than your kind of hillbilly set up in Aiken, South Carolina? You think we might be a touch class here, but I'm not sure. For my days in West Virginia, I'd have to put us just a couple of notches ahead. I've been to Morgan Town before. Yeah, I think it's going to be seen. That's our guy, Pat McAfee's, it's the old stomping grounds.
Starting point is 00:54:25 He went to, yeah, he went to West Virginia. Yeah, he's going to be there. He must have taken y'all's two tickets, huh? You know, we don't get, guys like Trent and I don't get dragged to the rough and rowdy. And the other thing is that if we did, it would be a work trip. We wouldn't just get to, just to drink our faces off with you guys. We'd be getting yelled at by Dave all the time.
Starting point is 00:54:46 Well, I think I just had to buy you guys tickets and let you come on your own and stay in the room with us. I mean, now we're talking to you. That's why I figured I'd get you on the show and then all of a sudden maybe I'd get a couple offers. You've got that on the recording too. I mean, if Dave can't afford $800 for some tickets, I probably can't. You preach it to the choir, Powell. We've been fighting that. I mean, T-shirts he's selling, Dave, when he's not stuffing his face of pizza.
Starting point is 00:55:10 I like that we're taking shots at Dave. I fucking love that. I told Pat you're going to be there because he's got his boy John Daly we've been trying to set up we've been talking about setting up We need our match don't we? We got to do a little match with us and kids JD and Pat McAfee So you know we can we can cover some of that ground this weekend
Starting point is 00:55:33 I feel like you guys especially after Bo beats the shit out of some midget Hillbilly from West Virginia You guys are going to be going bananas Yeah all Bo wants to do is fight for first so he can start drinking kids y'all are going to lock me in a hotel room and not until I fight make sure let me go first
Starting point is 00:55:54 so I've been I've been putting a lot of words in I've been sending really strongly worded text messages to office manager Brett and some emails then we find out how much pull you out and we're trying to find out kids is very kids you also kind of act like you're like Michael Jordan I'm like them
Starting point is 00:56:13 I'm number 80 on the FedEx Cup So I was about big But it's going to be sweet I think you guys are going to fucking love it That place I mean it's I think it's 3,000 people I think it's 3,000 people And they
Starting point is 00:56:28 I think we just sold out maybe tonight So it's 3,000 people It's going to be an absolute scene Kids and like a million of his friends Are all going to be there I got them tickets, no big deal You're welcome kids But Bo's fighting
Starting point is 00:56:42 We got to get you too, because we're going to, I'll give you guys some instructions, a little content guy. We've got to get a little promo video from Bo that we can run before the fight so that everybody that's there knows, oh shit, this guy knows number 80 in the FedEx Cup. This is kind of a big deal. It sounds like you should just put together a super cut of the Facebook videos that you have on your messenger. Yeah, I think, and I mean, in your long days of working, you might be able to just work us up a video from all the media of Bow and else that you.
Starting point is 00:57:11 I have one question about Bo. Is he a fighter? Is he a rage guy? Give me something about his personality that I can think about. He's probably going to kill somebody. That's what I like to hear. So he's a rage guy? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:23 He's a rage guy. So he play golf with you at all? Is he like a psychopath on the golf course? Yeah, he smashes three wood past my driver, which is not difficult. Yeah, I was going to say you're not. I mean, you're not that big of a hitter. But I can hit my forearm past you a little hood and say straw out there. Gis did have the, when I was out of Pebble,
Starting point is 00:57:41 he chirped the shit out of me on Instagram and the guys that I was with playing saw it before I did and it was some fucking shithead comment like, hey, why don't you post the behind the down the line angle so I can see that disgusting closed face and the guys would chirp me
Starting point is 00:57:57 I couldn't hit a fair way the rest of the day I mean I wasn't even close I was like, does it look that bad? What the fuck? I got it's all right. Digging straight to your heart, Bob. All right, rough and rowdy Friday night. It's going to be sweet.
Starting point is 00:58:10 kids is going to be there. You want to come, dude? I mean, it's, it looks like drive from New York, because you might go out. It's like four hours. I don't know if it's that close. We just took a bus and a bunch of people for three hours. We didn't even know where that is.
Starting point is 00:58:25 We just kind of loop all that in, like South Carolina, all that's just kind of like down over there, kids. Yeah, that's what that Harvard education does funny. I don't even know where the state starts. It wasn't a geography major, pal. Yeah. podcast. You're a hockey guy.
Starting point is 00:58:42 I forgot D-1. That's right. It's usually the more than he leads on. He does. All right. Speaking of D-1, Georgia, lost Alabama. We haven't talked to you since then.
Starting point is 00:58:55 I know that Mantalati, had your whole bet with J.T. It was a fucking awesome game. I just kind of want to hear how devastated you were right afterwards. I wasn't done celebrating that sack when I turned back around. That ball was in the air, and I said,
Starting point is 00:59:11 oh, shit. And so, you know, in all honesty, we are so far ahead from where we were expected when Kirby took a job. So just to even be in the game was pretty incredible. And then obviously we kicked ass on signing day. Number one class got the number one class signed up for 19 already. So we're in good hands. I'm not too worried about it. We'll get another shot at it.
Starting point is 00:59:35 A little positive outlook from kids there. I like that. Yeah. I need some positivity out of you, Riggs. I'm trying to be positive. We just had to air out some of this. We're fucking bickering at each other. I don't even think we're really bickering at each other on text message.
Starting point is 00:59:48 It's our buddies. It's like your buddies bickering at you, so then you go to me, and then I bicker to, like, our guys that are in charge. What I'm going to do is I'm going to drop your contact into this other group thread so you can see how your name gets brought up in this group thread that I have to answer questions about in between golf rounds and at Temple Beach. Yeah. He's out there playing PJ tour events and he's getting shit about Riggs in his phone.
Starting point is 01:00:14 That's incredible. I'm worried about if Riggs has got a nice ticket for my buddy to sit two roads back at Ruff and Rowdy like I give a flying fuck about. It is amazing. I'm like, I'm trying to file your updates and it's like, oh, kids just bogied another hole. He just finished and missed the cut out in Pebble. And then two seconds later, I get a text from kids. I'm like, Jesus, that was fast. That's because I got 42 texts about it.
Starting point is 01:00:41 But Smalltown USA is coming to more. Oregon Town on Friday. 10.30, anybody were raised with us. Hit me on whatever y'all want to hit me on and we'll get up. I like that. I take the town red all day, Friday, after we locked Bo Hill and its hotel run. And it's going to be on. I can't imagine how soft you guys are going to be when this event starts.
Starting point is 01:01:03 It doesn't start to like 7.30. If I make it to the event, I'll be excited. It's video it for me whenever Bo fights if I don't. You can be at your apartment playing like Tiger Woods or something. Well, I'll be working. I'll be grinding, you know, getting that footage out there, content guy, because it's not just all fun in games around here. Do you get a drink at the beer Olympics today or winter Olympics today?
Starting point is 01:01:28 No, it was all business. No, we're all biz. Y'all got like HR and stuff now, don't you? No. You brought AOL and CEO in, and now you've got HR problems. Our HR is just our pal, Brett, Whenever we get people send inquiries, they're like, can I please, you know, can you please forward this to HR have an issue? Or he's like, yeah, yeah, we send it to our buddy Brett, and he just laughs and deletes it.
Starting point is 01:01:51 All right. Who's running, rough and row, he'll try that. Our crew, we're going to, I mean, everybody's going to be down there. All the big dogs are being down there, all the guys that you know, and you clearly, all your buddies follow religiously. Yeah, Dave's doing play-by-play. I know Big Cat's going to be there, maybe doing a little bit of color commentary. Caleb and Roan will be out there in the crowd doing interviews. It'll be just like the first.
Starting point is 01:02:11 Dave, I want to do color commentary on Bose fight. Yep, I sure can. Just get drunk and wander down there. Yeah, I will for sure. I'll put in a message. I'll show you how much poll I got. I can get you on color commentary, kids. It's going to be funny if they says now.
Starting point is 01:02:26 I want to do it with Pat McAfee, and actually, we can just put Dave on the bench for that one. Wow. I like that. He's really going to love it. He loves when people chirp him and don't just praise them over and over again. Yeah, I can't wait to see how much he beats up on my 80-second FedEx Cup. President's Cup, we haven't talked about that. Yeah, we talked to you a couple days beforehand, but President's Cup is fucking awesome.
Starting point is 01:02:50 I did like that. Obviously, you had your little dance thing with Phil, which was kind of weird, but we also liked it. And then you also had your Saturday, you're kind of up in the crowd. Our favorite part of the whole deal was that it was like you and Ricky up into the crowd, and you could tell a lot of the people are like, oh, Ricky, father, what? And then they're like, who the hell is this guy when you came walking up there? They had to ask me my name when they asked for my autograph. I don't want your autograph, but we're not sure who you are.
Starting point is 01:03:20 No, that was awesome. Real talk, I mean, it looked like you had as much fun as you've ever had playing golf. Was it, I mean, because you played great. You were buzzing. You and Phil were buzzing. I mean, were you nervous as hell? Were you just happy to be there? What was the feeling like?
Starting point is 01:03:38 the first day first shot the most nervous I've ever been because I knew I had to hit the first T shot just like a you know entering a ring to fight that first T shot and water's all down the left wind pumping right to left
Starting point is 01:03:53 I went to the course like three hours early my wife said where are you going I just got to get the hell out of here and uh but after that it was all good man I striped wind down the middle and Phil did his thing We had a good time together.
Starting point is 01:04:09 And, you know, I'd do for that team stuff. I grew up for you in all kinds of team sports and love the team atmosphere about it. You don't get that anymore in our game. So I love that type of atmosphere. Yeah, it was awesome. It was rowdy. I was all jacked up. I was out there Saturday.
Starting point is 01:04:25 And it was you and Phil were walking by. And I ran over to the rope line. And I was like, he's going to be all game face. But I'm just going to be there and yell on his ear. And I walked by and you just go, oh, what's up, Riggs? Right. As you walked by it. I was like, Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 01:04:39 I don't think he knows he's in like an arena right now. No, but that's all good. I'll talk to you at any tour event you come to, especially the president's couple, and I don't have to do the next shot. I'm sure there's a little shot next. Yeah, true. Another very serious question I've got to ask you.
Starting point is 01:04:56 Has anybody ever told you that when you putt, you look like you're taking a massive shit? No. Yeah, you might want to look at that. I know. I know that people say, man, I wish I could put it like him. you do put well i just i think you should watch the tape and you might want to notice that it just it looks kind of funny when you put most people sit down when they shit i'm just trying to sit down
Starting point is 01:05:18 fair i mean boom roasted i think that was a uh i put really well i'm going to keep doing what i keep what i do yeah don't change you can still keep swinging that club face up there that i could eat dinner off of and hit those two hooks and we can uh have a good time uh you always got to like getting him going. So, Rough and Rowdy, obviously, this weekend, when are you back at it, when are you teeing it up again? I'm playing next week at the Honda. So I'm actually, we're heading right back right after the fight. And Saturday morning, got a foundation board meeting for Kisner Foundation, go to my site,
Starting point is 01:05:59 donate some money, doing a lot of good things in Aiken for children. So we got a big board meeting that Saturday, so I got to get my act and go. I'm going to go home. It makes me so happy that there's going to be, Kevin Kisner is going to be front row at Ruff and Rowdy, and then he's going to be playing the Honda. And it's just, what a world that is. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:17 I'll be giving money to children on a Saturday after. That's true. Like, 12 hours afterwards, he will be helping raise money for children. It is the Kiz Foundation. If you go look on Twitter, it's at Kiz Foundation. I've been retweeting the shit out of some of that stuff.
Starting point is 01:06:33 Yeah, KisnerFoundation.com. You can go right on there and donate some of that barstool money. Go right? I'll go donate right now. Kid me? I'll, here, I'll, I'll donate a little, a couple bucks to the Kiz's Foundation, and then you can just pay for me to go to Ruff and Rowdy. That's not hard. I can get you an Avis car.
Starting point is 01:06:50 It'll be four hours down there. All right. I do. You there, too. I don't know why Riggs is taking Center Stage here. Like, he's a man or something. I mean, I want to get drunk with Trun as much as anybody. I mean, I, one second, if you drinks in me, I'm a pretty good time.
Starting point is 01:07:07 People will tell you that. There's videos of it and mugshots of it. There are very... Yeah, I was getting videos from rigs of you at Phoenix Open every five minutes, so I was enjoying that. Why? How were you not out there? That is, we missed you.
Starting point is 01:07:23 I need to be, don't I? If they would move all this bunkers from 290 to like 270, then I would be out there in heartbeat. You would be, now that you're close with us, you would be the king of 16. You'd be the king of 16 anyway, but you would be, it'd be unbelievable when you rolled up to 16. The problem is there's 17 other holes besides that one.
Starting point is 01:07:43 That's fair. I don't know if there are. We didn't see any of those where we were out there. We saw one fucking hole in one hole. Was that your first time? First time. Really? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:56 I mean, we spent 12 hours there on Saturday. It's impressive, isn't it? Oh, it was a scene. Have you played there? Yeah, I played there at Barnes. I just quit playing a few years ago. Yeah, I mean, we obviously enjoyed it. Next time, you're concerned about playing the other 17 holes.
Starting point is 01:08:15 You should just come with us to the tournament and hang out with us in the crowd. That's what I'm thinking. Next year, I'll just fly down and meet you all. We'll just go to the tournament on Saturday. I'm not getting up at like five the waiting line. I just drive out and park in the parking lot, like eight and have reserved seating. You just hold up your FedEx Cup number. They'll let you right in.
Starting point is 01:08:32 82 goes straight to the front of the run, right? You, yeah, that should fly with the wife. Be like, no, no, I'm going to, I'm going to the Phoenix Open this weekend. Just don't tell her that you're not playing. Well, I didn't see what you shot, my eyes, because I'm not playing. I shot a little whiskey up in the crowd all fucking weekend. So it's February 12th. When do you start, you know, I know, as we were kind of talking about game a little bit,
Starting point is 01:09:01 when do you start looking at the road to Augusta, kind of the big part of the year? Obviously, we're getting ready to go. into the Florida swing. When does kids start... It's on right now. Your sights are set on Augusta already. Oh, yeah. Everything I'm doing is prepared for shots.
Starting point is 01:09:18 I'm going to be hitting at Augusta. See, I love that. Short game is what I've been grounded on mostly. I feel like that's what's got to be the sharpness for me to have a chance to continue. There's wedge game and short game. So that's what I've been grounding on.
