It's a hobby. Foreplay. Right, Barstool Sports. It's a huge week. It's President's Cup week. We're going to be in Chicago for much of the week. We got Kevin Kisner. We'll be on the broadcast for NBC.

We're going to be doing our whole and one event on Wednesday. We got a much filming going on. So a huge week in the first. world of golf. There's a lot of big storylines coming into the President's Cup from the couple events this past week on the DP World Tour, one of their big events out of the BMW, and then new event on the PGA tour, which Kevin Kisner played in, where we had Jacob Bridgments. We've got JJ Spahn winning over in Europe after getting, you know, snubbed and then making comments about that. So a lot of storylines going to the President's Cup,

a ton to break down that we've sort of teased a little bit about the President's Cup that haven't really delved into this yet. We've been kind of saving for this week, such as the golf course being redesigned by the captain of the opposing team, some interesting captain's picks overall and everything going into the President's Cup. A couple administrative notes in our world, too, that whole one event. I think there might be a couple of select tickets available, so go check those out. Again, it's Wednesday night.

It'll be a ton of fun where there for like three or four hours. People are trying to get a whole on ones. There's drinks. There's food. There's gifting. That'll be coming out on Wednesday. We played for $10,000 cash. We decided to play straight up. It's been a couple of years in the making. I really don't know where exactly ways to golf and the Instagram account came from. That could probably be much disputed at times. We don't really have to get into all that. but a couple of years ago just started shit posting me, shit posting us,

and then somehow sort of found its way to a point where we decided to play a golf match against each other. How did you go from 50 to 10? I thought it was going to be 50. Did we get a little scared? You or him? That's a great call. I will describe how that happened. So, you know, he, we talked about it maybe a month or so ago,

and we were kind of debating whether to even do the match or not. and I will say the guy Scott, you know, in a lot of typical fashion, once he kind of reached out, always communicated like a pretty normal person. You would be a lot of like, thank you, bro, and I'm looking forward to this type stuff, while then shitposts me online, which is always pretty much how it's gone through the haters series. This is just on another level because he runs a pretty big Instagram account, but could have been nicer on all the phone calls, whatever. And I essentially was like, look, I'm not sure about doing this match for a couple of reasons.

one, I've never seen you fucking play golf in my life. So like for you to reach out, be like I'm a 15, I'll play as a 10 and we'll play for 50 grand is a little bit like if you walked into a pool hall and you shot pool for three hours and someone sat in the corner and watched every part of your pool game that walked over to you and said, I'll play in a game with pool for 50 grand. I think you'd be like, well, that seems like I'm walking into a trap. So radar was up right there because my game's fully out there. You know exactly what you're getting with me.

and I don't know what I'm getting with you. So anyways, I was like, that seems sketchy. And then the more we kind of started talking about it, it was like, should we even really like give him the platform when he's shit on us? Because I think that's kind of what he's looking for, but also we're in the game of getting views. I think people will be into the match. So we did a little bit of vetting, you know, yep, Strickler came in on the case.

And he was like, look, I found everything I can find from the goddamn golf swings that he's posted to some of the scores I've seen. I think he sucks. But like, I really, that's all. I can give you. I was like, okay. So then we started talking more, me and me and ways to golf. And I essentially was like, yeah, I'll be honest.

Like you said you'd play as a 10 handicap 15. I was like, you're the one that shits on my game, pulled up a bunch of posts that were just like rigs, air quote, four handicap, you know, claims he's going to shoot another 81, but it's probably 97. So I was like, you're the one shitting up my game. Why would you need strokes? Why wouldn't we just play straight up? That eventually got to where he was kind of like, that's a very fair point.

It's kind of a pathetic look on me. Do you mind doing a phone call? And we'll kind of just talk about some of the final details. I was like, sure, no problem. And he was like, look, I think you're right. I think I should probably play you straight up. Having said that, I think you are a better golf than I am. So playing for 50K against somebody that I'm pretty sure I'll lose to doesn't seem like a good idea.

I still think we should do money. Is it okay if we do 10 grand? And I said, I want you to know this is incredibly cowardice of you, the fact that we're doing it off camera and you're calling me. you're backing down, the whole point of the 50K was a number that you threw out. The whole point of the fact that we're in this position is because you talk about my game. I never talk about you ever. So all of that, I think, makes you a big coward.

Having said that, I think we're in this position where if you want to play for 10K cash, I think if it's 10K, 50K, that's not going to affect the views very much. That's not going to affect anybody watching very much, if that'll make you feel better. Because I thought at this point, too, now he must really suck because otherwise he wouldn't be doing this. and like maybe I could just go out there, make 50K, put a good video out that'll get a lot of views and try to place or make 10K. So that's sort of where we landed on. If anything, it made me more confident that maybe he's not that great. Having said that going in, I still knew nothing about the guy's golf game.

If he is a sketchy person, he could be hustling from the videos that he posts are all curated by him every time he's like WTG founder shoots this. He's the one putting all that up so he can put up anything he wants to. So I really didn't know what the fuck to expect from his golf game. And quite frankly, you know, I sure, I can play some good rounds. I posted some good rounds lately. But I am by no stretch the imagination sitting here believing that I'm some guaranteed great golfer when I tee off. I could shoot fucking anything when I go to the first tee. So playing for a bunch of money is scary no matter what.

Playing for reputations is scary no matter what. But that is how we ended up settling on 10K and not 50K. And I would chalk it up to a large bit of backtracking and comment. artist from WTG golf is what I would say. It never ceases to amaze me how different these people are behind in real life compared to keyboards. Just, just unbelievable. And look, I think people will see from the intro, you know, I pretty much, I pretty much said in the intro the video, I said, look, I like to consider myself when I play golf to be a pretty normal interacting human out there. So like, I'm going to, if he hits a good shot, I'm probably going to say a great shot.

and if he hits a bad shot, I might make fun of him here and there, but I'm like, I'm not the kind of guy to be in a singles match and every shot be like, you fucking suck, you piece of shit. I'm just not going to do that. So I did in the intro, I was like, look, I think this guy and the reason that we're here is the lowest form of content in the history of creation. I have absolutely zero respect for him whatsoever. Having said that, I'm going to be a pretty normal golfing human and interact with them

throughout the day, and we'll see kind of what happened. So that was the way that the intro went. What an intro. That's so funny. That guy just standing there waiting with his golf club. I can't write down at the intro and video being like, what the fuck has my life become? What did I do?

I did what? I started shitposting this guy and now he's yelling at me. And that's very funny. I mean, it's true though. The Hater series is great for a million reasons, but it ultimately is like a study in internet trolls in that they'll be massive, huge, gigantic pieces of shit to you on. online and then you meet them and they're like, hey, you want to go play some golf? And it's,

yeah, I mean, like I said, it's a great series for a lot of reasons, but seeing people in that way, I think it teaches a lot of people, hopefully that the internet is not, it's a real place, but there's parts of it that are certainly not as genuine as they come off as. Well, the hate, the outward hate obviously comes from a place of jealousy. So when all of these accounts are constantly posting it's because they want what Riggs has. So then for it to ultimately end up with him on Riggs's channel is the ultimate just, you know, it's, it slaps him right in the face when he's standing on that T at that moment, that everything that he's quote unquote hated, it got him to the position that he wanted to get to.

You know what I'm saying? It's so obvious. It's like they just want to do the stuff that we do. And he hated you until he got right next to you. So it kind of worked in his in his in his world, but it's so obviously driven from so much jealousy, that when they inevitably meet you in person, they're like, yeah, of course I'd want to do what you do.

Like I'm sorry, like, you know, sorry for even posting that stuff. Yeah, which is why we debated even doing it in the first place, right? And there's plenty of responses, DMs, messages that are like, do not give this guy the platform. He doesn't deserve it. He's been a shithead to you. So there's, we definitely get started doing that. However, at the end of day, I was like, if there's a chance that I can go out, I can show that, you know, he's like, doesn't really deserve to be hating me in real life if we're interacting with each other.

It's not, it doesn't seem to be fair or realistic or make any sense. I can go take, you know, money off of him. And I can, like, show what he's actually like in real life versus what he should post on the internet. That could be a win, win, win. and it's worth it to kind of put him out there. Now, I lost $25,000 cash last year, playing against your friend Kyle by finishing quad triple to shoot 90.

So like, you know, I'm no guarantee you out there and win money playing against people. So again, it's pretty like, if you play against some buddies and you end up with like a $300 Nassaw, that feels like a shit ton of money.

If you lose $300 on the course, that fucking sucks. It's a bad day. You got to hand your buddy's cash. You start talking about $10,000. It's like that. But it has a lot of money. a long intro for if you inevitably lose this match on Wednesday, this is going to be a disaster.

Disaster. An absolute disaster. Absolutely to this guy. And when you're not a great golfer, Frankie, teeing off knowing that if you lose, it's a complete disaster does not make it easy to play golf. And we're putting the video out either way. Like, if you lose, we're still putting it out there, buddy. 100%. And like knowing too in this scenario, how many people are actually, on my side makes it way harder where you're like to when you're when I played against like Kirk last year you're out there and everyone's rooting against you it makes it a lot easier

because you're like it's just like that day it was like Frankie was my caddy and it's just like me and Frankie against the world and it makes it easier to kind of lock in and be like whatever when everyone's rooting for you it really like changes the pressure in some weird way so so yeah it was I'm glad we did it you know and I and it's it is one of those weird things where it's like he and I have formed a cordial behind the scenes relationship. So I don't want to like sit here without him and talk shit about him.

Having said that, he would still, I would still be in a great talking shit debt, no matter how much I talked about it right now, compared to where he's at over the last two or three years of, of shit posting. So he just kind of deserves it. And if things work out better from there,

fine. But, but that's coming out Wednesday, boys and girls. It was at Southern Pines Golf Club, which is awesome spot redone in the last three years, I think. It's a Donald Ross course, 10 minutes from Pinehurst, just like a real old school Donald Ross golf course.

I think all the locals will tell you that it could be really fucking hard. Like, you know, kids plays plenty of Donald Ross courses, especially even out there on tour. I know the Wyndham's always like those greens at any Donald Ross course can eat anybody's lunch no matter how short or long the golf course is. And so being out there playing, we set him up with the practice round the day before, since he hadn't been there before. So we're like, take as much time as you want, get to learn the course,

and we'll go to the T. So it was a beautiful day in Pioneers, perfect weather. And we had, yeah, 20 grand prize on the line. So people can go watch that on Wednesday. That's coming out. And then otherwise, if nobody has anything else, pre. We got some President's Cup to get into boys and girls. We got match play all weekend long.

We got Team USA against Team International. The United States of America squad is looking for their 10th straight win in the President's Cup. It's 13-1-1 all-time, coming off a couple shit-kicking in a row from the point standpoint. But if people do recall two years ago up in Canada, U.S. won 5-0-0 on day one after all these kinds of conversations going in being like, oh, yeah, hopefully it's close and fun, but U.S. wins. And then internationals turned around and won 5-0 on day two. So I'd go into Saturday morning, U.S. ended up pulling away. To look at some of the stats, we went through a little bit of this with Niko last. week. The United States team have nine players on the team that are ranked higher than the highest

ranked player on the international team. I think Siwu Kim is coming in at 13th or 14th in the official world golf rankings. I think he's 14. And ahead of that, you have nine boys from Team USA, including JJ Spahn is ranked higher than the highest ranked player on the international team and he was snubbed from the United States President's Cup team and then went on to win this past weekend. We'll get to some of those comments, but you know, going in, we kind of just talked about being favorites,

having the home crowd behind you and all that. I think we've had a lot of conversations on this show about like at the highest level of golf on the PGA tour on any given week, you know, the 80th ranked player in the world versus the third rank player in the world. I don't think anybody would be shocked if that 80th rank player in the world

went out and shot 6666 for four days straight and like won the golf tournament. So at this level, they're all so good that anything can happen. Having said that, you know, odds or odds,

it's minus 400 in the drafting sports book. History is history. The U.S. should win this fucking thing. And if we don't, to quote Frankie from five minutes ago, it's a complete disaster if we don't win this thing. Yeah, I was just looking through the scores from this weekend.

You know, the international sent a bunch of guys to play in Asheville to try to get ready. And I'm looking through, I knew they didn't have a great week, but excuse me, the highest finisher is tied for 43 for the internationals and Corey Connors.

And then they had Nick Taylor right around here somewhere. Let me find him. Oh, he finished tied for 57th. And then you have Bazaden Hoot missed the cut. They had like three or four guys missed the cut. Nico missed the cut. Yep.

Hitset Sunni missed the cut. So it's just not a good lead up to be. Nope. You know, we had Jacob Bridgman win the tournament. Jackson Coyven be in the top 20. And then you got even our assistant captain Webb Simpson beat all of the internationals last week in Asheville. So not a whole lot of confidence rolling in for team international right now.

Hopefully they get to Chicago and figure something out. But you spoke about Montreal. And I remember thinking I was an assistant. and captain. We won 5-0 that first day on Thursday and could not have been, you know, we thought we were the smartest guys in the world. We're going to destroy these guys. And then we go out and get our ass kicked on Friday, 5-0. And boy, does that change some mentality around there? Just the morale overall. And I thought Jim did a great job of switching it around. You know, he's like, I don't want them thinking about we lost five matches. So he just went around the entire

team rim and wrote the score is zero to zero. And that was kind of the mentality going into Saturday as we're starting over. First two days didn't even matter. It's zero, zero. We got to go win it. And it turned out to be a pretty great weekend. But it's going to be, there will be a point. There always is in a team event that it gets close unless here in 2017 USA.

We just beat the breaks off of them all the week. That was the one where it was over on Saturday, right? Mathematary. We made them give them a, Tiger made us give them a put on the last hole on Saturday night. So it wasn't over. We had to get one point on Sunday to, secure the cup. And it was probably the right thing to do, but buddy, we were pissed. Business guy. Tiger's a business guy. Yeah, he's like, we got to, we got to play either way.

We might as well have something to play for because TV's going to make us play. And I said, no, we're just going to go out in New York. What are you talking about? Hardy. They can have all 12 points on Sunday. I don't care. We'll just hang out. He goes, no, we're going to go. Tiger's like, shut up, kids. You're an idiot. I got this. But it's all good. It's going to be a great week. Chicago's gotten just kill with rain. I don't know if y'all have noticed seeing that, but the last week has just been kill with rain. So hopefully it dries out.

I've been getting a ton of NBC emails about cart path only for all our guys setting up. Boom. So I checked the weather. It's supposed to chill out a little bit, starting tomorrow through Sunday. So hopefully it dries out. New design, new golf course should have some awesome drainage. And hopefully the course gets into great shape to play. I'm excited to see it, man.

You guys remember 17 at the old Medina, like the Router Cup. where Justin Rose chipped in from the left rough off the side of that hill. And that hole's gone. So I can't wait to go see exactly how it all looks now that the international captain redesigned it. Crazy that that hole's gone. So a little history about the course, Medina number three, they have like a million golf courses there. It's a sick property. I don't know if you guys, Frankie, I've ever been there.

But like the clubhouse is just this mammoth like scene. It's just awesome. It's got a really, it's got an old school but like gravitas type feel to it with all the major championship history. It's got, they have had three U.S. opens, 1949, 1945, 1992 PGA

championship, both won by Tiger Woods, by the way, 1999 and 2006. They had the 2012 Ryder Cup kids was just alluding to the miracle at Medina. That was the one where we left Tiger Woods standing in the middle of the 18th Fairway won up in his singles match.

And then Martin Kimer made that put right in his eyeball in the match ahead of him because otherwise tiger would have been able to come down 18 and if he wins that match the u.s would have won the rider cup um but like kids was saying that was one down that stretch that's 17th hole i think we lost that 17th hole in every fucking singles match coming down the stretch yeah when i played in the uh bmw there in the playoffs i think around 19 man these guys are just stuffing it on that hole that i'm playing with i'm standing over that like if i miss hit this ball we may not finish this tall, you know, you just, you don't hit a good shot here. You just may not finish. And I play with

Rory on Sunday. He just gets up there with like a six iron. It's this high sawed off cut to the back right pin to eight feet. Like, what planet are you on, dude? If you overcut that, it's in the water, pull it. It's auto bogey. That's why you're one of the best players in the world. And I'm on a podcast. What was it like 210, par three over water with like nowhere to miss it? Yeah. And they'll put the pen like four over the edge. If you hit the, there's like a wall like 17 a sawgrass in front of it and hit it and go back in the water and so and it drops like it plays down 15 or something so the ball's in the air for hours and if it's windy it is the windy city it's just a haunted house up there on that tee box yeah so that whole i believe has been turned

into like a drivable par four kind of is what i was looking at the routing you know because they're not playing one through 18 like it's designed they changed the routing for the president's cup. So it looks to me that Jeff brought more of the river that kind of cuts through the course into play on a lot more holes. There is a par three that goes along the water, but it's a different shape. So I decided to get up there and check it out. Me too. I'm sure we'll see plenty of like graphics that you guys got prepared or segments showing like the changes in the course, which I'm excited to see because Medina, yeah, there was that stretch. Like when I first started getting into golf and becoming a huge golf fan in that like late 90s early mid 2000s which was obviously the tiger woods

era madina was like it it was two major championships in that stretch the majors that they were were fucking incredible with tiger and like Sergio going at it in 1999 and so like it just had this like madina it was tiger and luke donald i think in the final group in 2006 and like luke donald showed up in a red shirt as well and they were like kind of going toe to toe but like it's just Medina's had that. And then 2019, I think did JT win that in 2019? Maybe the BMW at Medina. I can't exactly remember.

But, you know, forever it had to like it was that, correct me if I'm wrong, but it was very much kind of when they had the majors and the big, you know, BMW, it had sort of a firestone like Torrey Binds type, just like big ballpark. You have to hit the ball straight, thick, rough, really narrow tree lines.

And it was like you're going to get that 18. holes in a row. And that's why Tiger dominated those courses. He was like, oh, whoever has to just hit it the farthest and, like, straightest to be the strongest is going to win. Of course I'll do that. Those are like the courses that he just dominated at. He played out every year. He won all those

courses like eight times. And Medina, obviously they didn't play it every year, but it was kind of his type of spot. So I think it's going to be, like you're saying, a lot different. Jeff Ogilvie, sort of the sandbelt Australian type guy coming in and transforming it into more of that type of style. I don't know how with all the

rain and that type of where that's at in the country that you can get it anywhere near, you know, the Australian sandbelt. But bringing even a little bit of that type of character into this golf course. They redid it in 2003 or 23, 2004. It was a 23 and a half million dollar redesign, which is a shit ton of money. It was the Ocim golf, which is Jeff Ogilvy, Mike Cocking and Ashley Mead. And then now Jeff Ogilvie, again, is the captain of the international team. So, you know, you still got to play golf kids.

So like, that'll be a fun storyline. I don't know how much that really matters. I don't think he built any secrets into the golf course that the Scotty Shephlers of the world aren't going to be able to figure out. It's like, you know, it's just, it's not, it's not Hogwarts. And like, you got to know the secrets

if you're the wizards on the good side. It's just a golf course. You got to hit a golf shot. What's that name you said there? Is that Mike cocking? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Interesting.

I agree with that. It's just going to be a great storyline. If the international somehow get out there to a lead. A million names to not be named Mike there. Mike cocking, Mike cocking? Oh, all right.

You know Mike talking So you think they tour all those giant trees down that were tree lined on every fairway that are 200 feet tall? I don't know if they do that, you know, they love to take trees down now. I saw a lot of people chime in on that with the Pebble Beach situation the last couple weeks. So, you know, I don't know how many they took down or didn't take down.

I haven't seen a ton about it. But if there's one thing over the last 10 years, I've seen it's a lot of taking trees down. Why did Pebble take that tree down on 16? Do they respond to any of these people that were hating on them? Or they just decided. I have not seen a ton on like Pebble's side of it. I don't even know where that came from because I know they're redoing Spanish Bay right now.

They have Gil Hans out there completely redoing Spanish Bay. And then all of a sudden there's this huge announcement that they took down one of their field goal trees on 16. And everybody was kind of chiming in that that shit. I saw a couple things. This is just the internet. So none of this was verified at all. That people were like, thank God they took that tree down because it, ruins the amateur golfer and it doesn't affect the pro golfer at all.

And I think that's probably pretty right, kids. Like you guys don't get that tree. Don't you hit it right over that tray? Yeah. The only time you would ever have that tree in your way is if you hit the shittiest tee shot ever and like slice it over there in the right rough. And but nobody hits it over there on everybody misses it through the fairway on that hole or left.

Right. So then they have the angle. And you guys play that, you know, you're hitting it. I think you're laying back probably off the tee usually. hitting it to the left enough that like you that tree would never be in your way no you got you never think about that tea i mean that tree oh worst case you hit it right over it yeah so uh so then i think it was coming down to like the average golfer that pays 750 dollars to play pebble like they can't get the ball you know their apex isn't that great and so that when they miss their average slice t-shot

to the right rough that like that tree just makes a nightmare for people and so they took it down which then you can obviously get to like that debate forever of like, well, yeah, trees are tree. You just kind of like figure out how to play around it. It makes the whole iconic and beautiful, which I thought it did. So I'm a little bummed out that that tree's gone, but I have not seen Pebble like defend why it went down. I'm not really sure about that. Today's savvy burglars have done the math. They know that if they trigger your alarm, they still have time to grab what they want and go.

I think we did, yeah. I mean, he mentioned Matt Smith, Joachim Neiman, Lucas Herbert.

He even mentioned where the President's Cup was going next and didn't know if we were allowed to say that and then said we'll see how different our team is in Australia in 28. So it sounds like we're going back to Australia, according to Nico. It's going to be a long trip, boys. I don't know if we got that in us again.

I think we kind of swore off that we've never go that far again after that. What if you were asked to be the captain from the U.S. team and you're like, all right, you're going to Australia. You got to fly 400 hours six times before the event to make sure everything's just right. Dude. I would say no. I would say no.

They ask you when you leave customs person or somebody as you're leaving when you're at the airport, they go, do you plan on returning to Australia? And I looked them right in the face and I said, no. I said, I will not be returning. I listen, Australia is great and we had a really good time. It's just the fact of the matter is, it's too far. It's simply too far away. I mean, there was all that, there was all that discussion the last month or so leading up to the NFL season about the Niners and the Rams about,

because they did two different styles of, I don't know if you guys followed that story at all. The Niners went out a week before and the Rams flew the day before. So the Rams flew and landed and played football and got right back on a plane. left. So it was like two ideas or two strategies on how to get to Australia. And I mean, the Rams lost and the Niners killed them. So it was like that's who. Yeah, the Rams seem seem like they were trying to stay on the West Coast time for the next week as much as anything. Right. But they also sent. Yeah, they sent like trainers over there months in advance to study their sleep habits and stuff. Who knows what all's right. It sucks either way. It's forever away.

the time zone switch is brutal on your body. But the Niners weren't affected in week two by going for a week because they beat the shit out of the dolphins yesterday. That's right. Yeah, I did that. It was they sent like a bunch of staffers for like years over to Australia to like follow their bodies and see like how it affects people. And then they just got their dicks kicked in.

Just brains beat in. Just wasn't even close from the whip. Frankie, imagine flying the flight that we did. Now listen, the Rams, the Los Angeles Rams plane is probably a little bit better than the way that we flew back then. But we played Kingston Heath as soon as we got off that plane. And I wanted to cry the whole time. I wanted to cry. And imagine getting off that plane and playing an NFL football game.

Probably pretty hard. Well, worst videos we've ever put out. We just, we didn't have anything in us. Play bad golf. We weren't even funny. Nothing. There was no entertainment at Kingston heat. We just the worst collective performance in history from the fellas.

We were just pathetic. That's a tough call. to get off a plane and play golf after 16 hours. They're Augustin National, too. Like, their best course. The best part is like ever since then, too. Like Rory came out and they were like, what are your Mount Rushmore of golf courses?

And he was like, Kingston heats on there for sure. We were like, that place sucked. We had no appreciation for that place after that day. We didn't remember being there. I just took that flight home from Italy yesterday, and I'm still mashed potatoes, just sitting on a plane. We sat on the plane for an hour before we took off. and it was a nine hour flight.

So you're on the plane for 10 hours. Oh, just a long time to be sitting there. You start to just go crazy. And like, I kept thinking to myself, I can't believe we did double this to Australia. I can't believe it.

Yeah. You start to go insane. Your brain wants to jump out of your skull. Right, because we, we flew, I think we were all living in New York at the time. So we flew New York to L.A.

And walked from that flight, right on because it was like a tight connection, which is an insane time to have a tight connection, walked right on to the L.A. to Australia flight. And yeah, I mean, I felt like I was in an insane asylum. Yeah, because you went six hours from New York to L.A. already. And then you just hop on to 15 over to Australia. Right.

It's outrageous. The six hour flight being one third of the length of your next flight is unacceptable. That's just unacceptable. You've done the longest flight you'll do. And then you have three X. coming up immediately. It's like, how can that? What are we doing here?

They don't make a plane nice enough for that fight. They don't. They don't. There needs to be like a medical procedure that happens, like where they knock you out. They do something that helps you. Because I was wondering in regards to the president's cup, and it's probably not the case, but I was curious with all the things that's going on with American golf in terms of the losses that we've taken, do they like carry that with them or do they not even think

about it this week? I doubt it's even mentioned one time from anyone within the inner team circle. It just doesn't help anything. And I'm not sure that will even come across anybody's desk during the preparation for the President's Cup. Like, hey, we got a big weight on our shoulders because everybody else is lost. I don't think it really matters. And the President's Cup feels different because it's just different teams, right? It's just international.

There's no TV and I. There's no Europe guys on the other team. So it just doesn't feel the same as the Solheim Cup or the Walker Cup or the Router Cup. It's just a, it's like a totally different event. Yeah. Because we have the same guys. And then they, we just play a totally different team that has no correlation to the Riter Cup. Yeah.

Yeah. I'm curious where everybody like stands with the President's Cup, man. It's just interesting to me. Like I woke up this morning, gearing up for this show. And like, I started, I started to get myself a little bit hyped because you kind of have. to because I hadn't even really like heard or thought about it on even close to the level of

obviously the Ryder Cup and it's so nuts to me that like we talk about the Ryder Cup nonstop nonstop we talk about it of all every part of it we break down fear we'll talk about it this week a bunch you know like it's like we're gearing up for it almost and then the President's

cup is when you're there again fucking great when the matches start I think it's great you're going to see some heated stuff. I remember, you know, I've got some great President's Cup memories from when we were down in Australia and we regain normalcy and consciousness. And we were out there watching the crowds in Melbourne and that town, how good of a sports town that is was like so sick when we were there. I remember like Max Homa and Charlotte. Was that in Charlotte? I think kids like him making put after putt as like his coming out party on the team stage like going up against Tom Kim when he was

like coming out too. Like that shit's fucking awesome. But it's just outside of when it happens. It doesn't grab everybody like the Ryder Cup and even close. And I just like, I wonder why that is. You know, is it because it's not, is competition's not close? What is it? I think you nailed it in your intro about the President's Cup when the guy that got

snubbed is higher than anyone on their team. Yeah. It just doesn't have the hype. I mean, you got Rory John Rom, Tarrell, Hatton, Justin Rose, or you got Nico Echeveria. I mean, we love him.

but Rio hits that Sunni just doesn't hit like John Rom. I don't, it just, that's the bottom line. Yeah. Until we figure out this live thing and get these guys back and playing and you got, you know, the Joaquin Neiman's and guys like that coming back to play on their team,

then it's just not going to hit as hard. It is like, I know Frankie touched on it, Neiman Herbert, Abe Answer, Brandon Grace, Cam Smith, Mark Leishman,

Carlos Ortiz. Like, I don't know that any given year, all those guys are going to be on the team, but any given year, those guys could be top, 20 players in the world that are just not there. Cam Smith was like top dog when he went over there and like they're just gone from that

team. It's insane. Insane. Yeah. The first year of that, I believe was Charlotte when I played. It felt different then and I don't think it's grabbed the attention back yet. Yeah,

because the like the last run of that team was 2019 in Melbourne, right? Where like everybody would have been there. Yeah. And we skip the year, right? because of COVID? Yeah, I think so. Yeah, because we played 22 in Charlotte. Yep.

So they did a three-year gap and then Leavitt already kicked off. And so those guys were gone. See, the last iteration pre-split would have been that 2019. And that's when like it was what a two-point victory. It came down to the wire in singles. It was awesome. Right. And go back to in the history when you had Ernie Eels and Tiger Woods playing.

I mean, that's good stuff. Yeah. Right? Really good. That gets you hype. Scotty. Jeffler versus Rio hits at SUNY is just not going to hit us hard. Yeah, right.

We had Scotty versus Rory last year at Bethpage Black in a singles match, you know? Right. That's fucking aware. It's like, what do you mean? And Scotty was 0 and 4 going into it. I think there was a point where we thought if he didn't win that match, I didn't know how we were going to, how to handle that if he didn't win that match. I know. What's that point, do you think?

I'm on hotel Wi-Fi. I get it. where Tom Kim was going to be the guy for the international team where he was like going to carry this mantle and be the top dog and not that he's not can't still be that guy but like yeah it just doesn't have the same juice it really doesn't and it's like you know it's just you almost like need an international win at some point and that would like help the next five iterations of it dramatically that you know that it's possible when you look at it and it's like I'm you know I don't remember being

like an alive aware person about golf and seeing a USA loss in the president's cup that's just never even happened really in my lifetime it technically happened but I wasn't paying attention I don't remember it and like everything I've ever seen is just once every it's like every two years in a two year cycle we get one year where we get to like have fun and it's a guaranteed he'd win against the international team. And the other year, it feels like a stressful kind of like coin toss, depending on where it's at, if it's in Europe or the United States. And we just build up and talk about that one.

And the other one, we're like, oh, yeah, it's going to be a great time out there. We go out, the internationals roll out their cute team. It's kind of beautiful to watch them out there. They're rallying. And they got their shield. It's awesome. Like, we'll just go kill them and Scotty. And then we'll kind of gain some confidence.

And we'll be ready for the rider come next year. That's that kind of how it feels. and you know this one when you're on home soil in Chicago you're looking at the rankings and all that like you want it to be close you really do as much as the red white blue it's like it'd be great if you get some juice I fucking love Trevor Emelman and how involved he is with that team

a bunch of the folks on that international team you know like the day that we spent with Adam Scott who's sort of been their guy forever I got nothing but positive things to say about Adam sky took a great picture with Frankie I think on the spoken bridge you know so it's like this just you want you got you you don't sit here and you don't have the like every two year like hate for the national team that you have to have for the european team you know that like that deep like rooted

history and back and forth and car park fights between like their top player and the freaking caddies on the team and like you just it's i know we've had some incidents we had the fans with with patrick reads caddy kessler and all that but like overall it just seems a little bit more cordial. And then every year of the Rider Cup, it's fucking heated, hated rivalry. And like, I wouldn't mind it getting to that point at some point with your national team. I think it was a great start with Emelman and Ernie Ells when they came out with the shield. And then they got stripped of half their team like we talked about.

So they're trying to build something. They got Ogilvie, who seems great. We actually had earlier, I think this year or maybe second half of last year, we had Ogilie and Stenacher on the show at the same time. I interviewed both those guys from Chicago. people can go back and listen to that. But yeah, I want the juice. You know what I'm saying?

I want it to be like, I want to sit in my couch and be fucking nervous watching Team USA against the international team like I am for the Ryder Cup and know that it's going to like be a huge part of our identity as golf fans for the next two years. And we, we get there a little bit. We get tastes of it. But I want kind of all of it from the from the president's cup. And I hope that the competition like gets us a little closer to that this year. And with that we win.

But it comes down to like some awesome moments, I guess. With that all said, if the U.S. loses absolute just sirens going off for the United States golf. You know, with everything that's happened in recent Ryder Cups going into the President's Cup that is a shoe in victory, as we're saying, if you lose this, devastation across United States men's golf. I mean, that's all the motivation the internationals need right there. You could basically end the current state. of United States men's golf. I mean, it would be outrageous if they lost this. Yeah.

It'd be a fucking train wreck. It's the most, you know, bulletin board material you need. You know, everyone thinks we have no chance for the international. We have no chance. All their worst guys, our best guy. They just lost multiple rider cups. They lost a home rider cup.

Let's bury them is what they're saying. And if they do that, we are in trouble. we're in trouble. Then we have a whole other year now leading up into Ireland being like, what is it going to take to get Scotty Shepard to win one of these things?

You know what I mean? Like, come on now. I mean, I know I want to whistle some straights, but I'm just saying like at the end of the day, we got to get some wins under our belt. So a lot of pressure. There's a lot of pressure when you're that favored. Definitely.

Definitely. No, I mean, it's harder to play that way for sure. Yeah, I, I hope it's close. but we win, you know, I can't. Like, that's just kind of what I want to happen because it makes it more intense. They also stretch it out over four days, not three, right? Whereas like the Ryder Cup sort of you wait, you wait, you wait, that Friday morning, you just hit you with golf sun up the sundown.

Whereas this like last year, I remember two years ago, it was like Thursday at like 2 p.m. It was like 5.0 in the United States. And you were like, we would be 12 hours or we would be 16 hours away from the Rider Cup even starting. and the president's cup's already over. You know what I mean? It felt like that. And then again, luckily for the for the event that they came back from in 1-5 on Friday, the crowds were awesome kids on that.

Remember that how weird? Like there were no fans or no loudness, no like energy with the fans on Thursday at all, which might have been part of the U.S. just killing them. And then Friday was like a whole different place up in Montreal with like the fans, how much they were feeding it to the players. That got like my juices going that day.

Yeah, it was like everybody still had to work on Thursday in Canada, but on Friday they were all allowed to not work and come to the event. It was an interesting vibe. I personally like the Friday start. I think four days just kind of drags it out too long. I like the Ryder Cup schedule or we just get it and it's just golf all day long. And it's tiresome as hell when you're in it. But for the viewership, I think it would make the event a little bit more elite if we just pushed it all together and did it over three days. but I do like in the President's Cup

that you don't have to sit four guys each session. So you get 10 out of the 12 playing Thursday, Friday, Saturday's kind of a whirlwind. But it just feels even when you're in it and playing that it drags a little bit too long. You could just cram it down a little bit and get it rolling.

And maybe that change could bring more hype to the event leading up to it. You know, you have one more day to get the crowd fired up. You got a big Friday with two sessions, people there all day. When you play on Thursday and you don't tee off till noon and it's only one session and the first match only goes 12 holes and it's over or 14 holes and it just

doesn't quite get the hype going. You know, if he had to go, let's say Scotty and Zander play on Thursday and they just steamroll two guys, but they, you knew they were coming back out at 1.30 to play again. Boy, that really gets the TV viewership going in my opinion. And when guys are just having to wait until Friday, you know, didn't even really see Scottie play that much if he goes to a role. So I don't know. Maybe we could change the entire lineup to be in line with the Ryder Cup. You could even play as many guys as you do on Thursday, Friday, all day Friday. Right. I wouldn't hate that. I wouldn't hate that at all. It is, it is like, you know, condensing it. I always, like, I always remember that Rider Cup week that, like, it doesn't start on

Thursday because your mental body clock as a golf fan. It's like we get everything starts Thursdays and it doesn't start until Friday. And it is kind of like it's tantalizing those last cup. Like Wednesday Thursday are brutal as a fan where you're just like, we're fucking ready, man. Like give it to me. I'm ready. And we got to wait until Friday morning.

But then it just hits nonstop. Every minute that you're awake, they're playing the Rider Cup basically. And like for three days straight, you're like, this is fucking incredible. And I do kind of remember that with the president's cup that like you get to like the mid afternoon Thursday and you're like, okay, I saw a little bit of golf and like now it's over for the day. I want more. I want more. And so yeah, I wouldn't hate that idea to kind of do a little plug for kids, by the way. We got the broadcast and we got Thursday, Friday are going to be Golf Channel. And then Saturday, boy, Saturday, kids, I'm looking at 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Are you on for that

whole fucking time? I don't think so. I think it's a golf channel and peacock in the morning and then I come in for the afternoon session. But Sunday I'm on the entire, I believe, eight hours with a coat and tie. Yep. Sunday I saw it's like noon until like whenever this thing finishes. Kays is just on television. Yeah, I don't know a lot of the details about this one this week. I haven't been up to date on how we're doing it.

There were murmurs. We were changing the boot to only three guys. So I don't know how we're doing it. Production meeting is not until Wednesday. So we'll find out. nice nice which i probably won't participate in because i'm gonna be hanging out with you guys the whole time incredible they got to let kids be kids dude they just roll you in there and they turn on the lights they're like all right i'm ready to go over the goal i'll be ready the president's cup

tuesday to friday just avoid all football Tuesday to friday yeah just like own the week you know because like it's the last week of MLB i mean people are watching obviously for the playoffs but Most of the division winners are already locked in. Football you're going to have Thursday. But like you're not going up against college. You're not going up against NFL. You just own that week in the middle of September. Take over the middle of the week, the work week.

Well, with the new championship challenger series, we're not even going to be done. I mean, we're going to be done in July from what I could tell on that calendar. It looked like August we weren't even going to compete. So why don't we just play in August in the Northeast or California when we host and be done with competing against, football at all. I don't even know why we waited three weeks from the tour championship to play this

one. We just had to randomly throw in an Asheville event after two weeks off and then go to the President's Cup. None of that makes sense to me. I don't know how that happened. But why wouldn't these guys get on a plane at Atlanta like I did in 17 fly straight to the President's Cup? Everybody's fresh and we just roll. That's a great point. That's a great point. I really, yeah, this does. Why do we wait three weeks? and just to compete with baseball, football. Now college football is really taking off. This Saturday's big games. Shout out Georgia hosting Oklahoma.

Huge games. Huge games. And then NFL is like week three, everybody's dialed in now. They're getting their Sunday tickets rolling. Everybody wants to watch football all day Sunday. They're going to flip it to NBC during a commercial to see what the USA team's doing. Yeah. Yeah.

You know, like it is, it's a whole different level. so it's hard to compare, but like the World Cup delivered in the middle of the week, you know? I remember that being like just that was such a bonus for a month to have every day there was like two or three World Cup games throughout the day, Monday, Tuesday, every day. And it was like, I think in today's world that's more doable from a you're going to get maybe more love from a rating standpoint than you would have before because everybody has streaming capabilities everywhere, whether they're sitting at their desk at work, like on their phone, whatever. can just like watch at any given time.

So it is a bold move. Like maybe we'll do it Tuesday through Friday, but I fucking love that. Like give it a shot and be like, yeah, we're going to take over the entire thing. Maybe that would work. Maybe it wouldn't. But yeah, you can't go up.

Football is just can, you know, you just cannot go up against it and expect phenomenal results. I don't think, you know, at this point, it's just really hard, really, really hard to go up against that. The players would love it. Justin Thomas would go straight to,

Alabama watches, watch his tide. You don't think these guys want to watch football on the weekends, too? I mean, they've been grinding all year. They've been waiting for September football, just like the rest of us. But, like, yeah, there's just something about, if you had the best golf being played from like 3.30 or 4 o'clock to 7 o'clock, your ratings are going to be pretty high. I don't think it's, I don't think the work schedule of the American people really will get affected that much.

I think people are streaming, like you said, at their desk. I think people are home around that time. They'll turn it on around 5 o'clock. you'll have Scotty Sheffa coming around the back nine, hitting big shots on a Wednesday afternoon. Come on now. That to me is very appealing. I mean, to your point,

I could not wait to see what time the Georgia, Oklahoma kickoff was just begging for a 730, 8 o'clock kick so I can watch it myself. I'm going to be on TV, like begging people to watch me on Saturday. So I, hopefully the ratings agree. I mean,

USA golf is obviously, you know, a big topic right now in sports. People want them to perform well. We got embarrassed at Bethpage. And we have all the big dogs playing. So it's exciting. It definitely is exciting.

If you're a golf fan, you're going to get up for it. It's the president's cup. It's team golf. But yeah. Big time. It'll be interesting to see. Maybe maybe one, you know, they're making a lot of changes right now with the PJA tour. Maybe they'll try this.

It seems to be very, uh, experimental right now with changing up different things. So did it say on that, you know, that long email we got about the new changes. I don't know if you guys in the media got it. Did it have on there? Because, you know, had the arrows and it was like start in February end in July, August. Yeah. Did it say anything about the cups? I don't know.

I don't know. I don't be the president's cup year. That's when we're switching over. I was going to try to find that. I didn't read the whole thing, kids, if we're honest. You know, I don't think anybody did except me. I read the whole thing and I can't remember it. I'll find it. A little skim job. I'll find it and get back to y'all. Don't let me forget. While you're looking for that, I want to mention JJ Spahn. real quick front of the program. Incredible week

out of him. He's birded four. The last five holes to win across the pond. Being left off the President's Cup team, this is a couple quotes for him. He said being left off the President's Cup team was very disappointing. I wanted to prove I deserve to be on that team. I took care of my

business this week to go further on that. You know, JJ Spawn, obviously 2025 U.S. Open champion. He was probably the most notable snub from the team. He finished 10th on the U.S. President's Cup points list. He didn't really have any top 20s in his last five starts right before the team was picked.

He was phenomenal at last year's Ryder Cup. He went 2-1-0 and was one of, I think, just three Americans with a winning record at the Ryder Cup. He afterwards, he said about the phone call, he said, Sned's called me. I just landed at Phoenix. It was about a 45 second phone call, just said I wasn't on the team and said I was the odd man out and I wished him luck and that was it. And then when followed up, if odd man out was exactly what the phrase was used over the phone spawn said, he did and you can quote me on that. And then JJ Spahn went out and won the BMW this past week.

So pretty cool to see a guy with the chip on his shoulder, you know, go out and actually get the win. So good for JJ Spawn. Like I said, I think that moves him up to like 13th of the official world golf rankings and the highest ranked player. on team international is 14. Incredible week out of JJ. I was texting with him a little bit earlier this week. He's my boy. I love him with death.

And it was an unfortunate situation for him. He withdrew from the Tour Championship, if you recall. And I'm sure that the President's Cup team and communication and all that was on the forefront before he did it. Probably thought that he was in and that's why he did it. And then to get a phone call to saying he was out, I'm sure put that chip on his shoulder and that's why we're getting the comments that we're getting from him after he went and dominated but this is how the world works if he doesn't win this week at wentworth we never

hear about any of that and we move on nobody ever ask him so uh good on him to go kick everybody's butt over there probably their major on the dp world tour at wentworth and uh you know pissed off guys play well right um and and it was an incredible week for him uh as good as he played at beth page getting kind of thrown in the fire in the mix, paired up with the number of player in the world, and basically carrying them and through a match that I watched and then coming out on the singles and hit the most beautiful five wood on the 12th hole

while I was standing beside him that I've ever seen in my life. It took off, and I just said, wow, and it landed to a foot and didn't move. And I was like, yeah, like, I'd said something before, like, hey, dude, we got to have your match. And he was maybe only one up or even. And him and Cairns were going back and forth on the 12th hole about a four in or a five wood.

and Karen goes, he just told you we have to have the match. We have to make birdie. It's a five wood. And he stood over this five wood and it never left the flag and landed a foot. And he said, after I said, wow, he said, you mean like that kiss? And I said, yes. Let's go. And then in my brain, if I was a captain, moments like that is what I put in my head, right?

Because those are the dudes you want on your team. He's a dog. He gets it. I don't always go off a recent form. just because there's been a month since they played. And I just find that so weird that we're like, hey, he didn't play well,

the Tour Championship or BMW. And I said, well, that was in August. And now it's September 25th. Okay. So you guys know, like Riggs,

you could have shot, I don't even know what you shot against Ways to golf, but it could have been 90 or it could have been 73. But in a month, you might shoot 68, right? You have no idea what's going to happen in a month. So my biggest problem,

with that whole thing is how they try to do recent form. I think it's a lot of stats for courses. I believe in horses for courses. I have no idea if course is good for JJ. And I don't know if that changed the captain's idea on who was on the team. But if I just look at the picks, it's like, hey, we're getting fresh blood on this team and we're preparing for the rider cup. That's my takeaway from who they pick.

Okay. Love it. You know, it's tricky. And it'll always be debated forever. You know, like recent form versus like what's the, what's the court, what's his history in the event is if you're, you know, people I think could easily argue, yeah, you've had huge moments where you've stepped up in these team events before. And people would be like, well, yeah, that's when you were playing well. Now you're playing like shit. You're not going to see.

It's like people can argue that forever. You know, JJ being left off is tough. I think any time in kids, I think you would agree with this. Anytime you don't qualify on points, you just kind of got to know that like, you. he just might get left off the team. And it's probably not the fairest thing. You know, I think people could point to Jackson Coyvin. Forever, he did play again.

Great. Like you said last week, I think he finished tied for fifth, actually. But he, you know, like getting the young blood on the team, having somebody be left off. It's just always tough for the team, USA, especially because we have so many good players, so many guys rank really, really high in the world. So that part absolutely sucks. Wentworth is like, is the event, the names that were on this leaderboard right behind JJ Spawn. I mean, Rory McElroy, Adam Scott, Aaron Rye, who's a major winner this year, Matt Fitzpatrick, Ryan Fox, major winner. These guys are all in the top six right behind him. Right behind

that, you got Robert McIntyre, you've got the Fitzpatrick, so like Rom was out there, you know, everybody was at this event, and for him to go out there and win it pretty emphatically was quite the statement. So good for JJ, I'm sure he'll be bummed to be left off. I'm curious, kids, like, what you think about being left off this team,

and then if he's in a similar spot next year, does that, do you think this hurts or helps him being, like, left off next year? It's hard to say because you've got a different regime in there. You got Jim Furek making all the decisions. I don't think Jim's using the exact same stat guys that Snedz is using, which is analytics have become such a big part of how you rate the team and how you make picks based on the golf course and who's already on the team

and how they match up. There's so many analytics to go into that. So I think it's too premature to say because we left them off last year, we're not going to take them again or we need to take them in a similar situation. I think it's a whole body of work from two years of golf, golf course,

and the other guys on the team. I don't think people understand how much matchups matter in who you pick. I think you're right. I think we way underestimate that. I don't think we've even talked about it once or an hour into the show. Yeah.

Well, I mean, I'm sure they have great partners for people they pick like Jacob Bridgman, and he's a great putter, put him up with an unbelievable ball striker in alternate shot where he's putting all day long. That's what you're trying to do all the time is if everything goes perfectly, Jacob Bridgman's hitting all the 15 footers for Bertie, and we have the advantage in that way. Now, just like everything else, when the gun goes, off and shit goes haywire and he misses the first fairway and then Jacob has to chip out or

whatever it's just it doesn't always go according to plan but that's what you're trying to put as many chips on your side to push forward to have the most advantage and we're always looking at those types of situations you know you might have a great par three player jackson coiffin i have no idea it could be a great midiron player and every par three at medina is 195 to 215 yards and he's the best on the team at that we're going to put him on every par three and i'll alternate shot and say go get them. This is where we get the most advantage. Things like that, you're always trying to figure out leading up to the event and when

you're making your picks. Not easy putting a team together, man. Just not easy putting a team together. And then getting second guess for everything. It's easy if you win because everybody tells you you're smart. If you lose, you're the dumbest person on the planet. It's like if you lose the ways to golf, you're the worst golfer ever. And I'll tell everybody that when it comes out.

It's a bit really building up to like a loss here would be tough, you know. There's no way to avoid that fact at this point. Not easy to play golf with that. All right. Jacob Bridgman, you mentioned him. He got the win down at the Biltmore. Second win of the year. He is like one of the best putters on planet Earth,

if not the best putter on planet Earth. Really nice to see that kind of form going in. With the captain's picks, the team captains, the captain's picks for Team USA were to remind everybody, Chris God. Roder up Zander Shoffley, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantley, Jacob Bridgman, and Jackson, Coyvin. You know, three of those names are pretty much stalwartes for Team USA, and three of those names are quite fresh for Team USA, which I think pretty much everyone loves to see for building phase, you know, what rebuilding, whatever the fuck you want to call it,

getting those young guys in there that have had a lot of success in the last couple years on the PGA tour or even less of that time, getting him in there with that experience in Chicago, home crowd. I think it's going to be awesome for the team event. But shout out to Bridgman wins. I think he was 26 under par down at the Biltmore. Yeah. I got you right here. You say he's the best putter on the planet.

Number one in putting this week with 8.13 strokes gain putting. I'm sending that dude out all five matches at Menina. If he is the best putter on tour and he just won the tour event the week before, beating everybody's brains in on the greens, you're playing all five, bud, saddle up. How do you gain eight strokes putting? That's insanity. So he's gaining two stroke,

over two strokes a round out there just by putting. Round four, he gained 2.6. Round three, he gained 2.2. Round two, he gained 2.8. And the first round where he didn't play his best, he only gained 0.3. So he really turned the putting on late. Jesus.

That's what you want. That's what we talk about it. always comes down to putting. Well, you've got the dude. You got the ace of spades and your team. Send his ass out there and say, go make me some putts. And he's a good, I mean, hits it great too, but, I mean, you got a guy out there draining puts just burying people.

I mean, it's such daggers. When you're on the other team and guys just burying putts in your face and you finally think you have an advantage, the best thing about matchplay. If he's playing with Xander Schofley on Thursday and Xander hits it to 15 feet all day the internationals hit it to 12, and Jacobs just pouring these 15 footers in in your face, and then they're missing the 12 footers. It's over, dude.

The morale's over. I mean, that's how I made a living in matchplay is just greasing around and making putts, and it just ruins people's morale, and you're making putts and they're not. It's over. You guys see it when you play. You go play with your buddies,

and they're making putts and you're lipping out. It just makes your day not as fun. Yep. Pudding gets Kevin Kisner fired up, man. Kevin Kisner loves putting. And he's, and I get why. All the,

and he's right. Everything that he just said is correct. And he also at one point and probably still one of the best putters in the world. It fires you up, Kevin Kisner, the putting. Yep. Well,

it's so fun because it's, it's a way to equalize the game when I'm standing there on a fairway and a guy's driven at 30 yards by me. And then he hits it to 10 feet and I hit it to 20 and I make it and he misses. It's like, okay, now how does it feel to drive it far and lose the hole? I love it.

We're talking about this past weekend as out of Martha's Vineyard, got to see our good friend Lurchy for quite a time. What a beauty that guy is. He's the best. But we had a bunch of his college buddies and played a bunch of golf and went to the bars. And we got into like some deep, you know, after several, how you doings conversations about like putting. And we were just saying kids like,

putting is the only part of the game that is truly where you can gain the most finite moment in stroke. anywhere else on the golf course, like, by far. And the more we get in, it's just like, there's no, like, if you, if someone drives it better than someone else off the tee, they've gained a little bit of an advantage. And then if they hit it a little bit better or way better even on the second shot, they've gained a pretty good advantage. But like, if somebody makes a seven footer and the other guy just misses a six footer,

it is one full stroke that you cannot equal anywhere else on the golf course. It's one full stroke, no questions asked, no chance of recovery, nothing, it's over. You've done it. And it's like, that is so devastating to people to play against because it's just like you've closed the door, you've finished it, you've gained the maximum you could possibly gain in one attempt at the golf ball. And there's really nowhere else in the golf course unless you like hole out a chip that you can do that against people. And it's also the most iconic moments. I mean, we're doing the pitcher thing with Frankie.

But if you go back, just everybody use your. brain for a moment. You don't remember where anybody hit the ball. Like Tiger Woods, 18 Torrey Pines U.S. Open. All you remember is that ball bouncing on Poanna and going in. Where did he drive it off that tea? Does anybody know? Not no idea. I do know, but that's okay. We don't have to go in that. Right. We don't remember the drive. We remember the put. Payne Stewart went in at Pinehurst. You remember him making the 30 footer with the foot in the, I mean the leg and the putter in the air. Phil Mickelson went in the masters and jumping. That's not, he's not jumping after his shot. I'm sure he sliced it in the trees, but he made birdie because he made the putt.

I mean, it's just, that's where you really can shine and having a great putter on your team is such an asset and such a resource that I think Sned's and these guys are crazy if they don't send that guy out there and just tell him to go, just kill the morale or early barbarian putts. I might put him out in the first group both days. Kevin Kishner-Ros get fired up about potting, man. It's awesome. It's so great. I also watch the Europeans just bury our morale by making every put at Beth Page and everybody telling me how stupid I was for putting Harris English and Collmore Cow together or whatever they wanted to complain about. But if Harris English and Collinmore Cow would have made every 20 footer, I guarantee you we would have been the smartest guys in the world.

Fucking Justin Rose in the Ryder Cup just becomes Kevin Kisner and Jacob Bridgman all the sudden on the, but you know, he just. I watch that dude, Beth Page. He shot eight under on the front nine. best fall. Saturday. I was like, what is going on? He walked. I was sitting down on the ninth green like 15 feet. I think I probably told this on the pod, but maybe not. I'm on the ninth green. Seven under after eight. We're hanging in there. I think he's playing Scotty. Scottie's like four or five under on his own ball or two down. We, Scottie has at eight feet on nine at Bethpage. Justin Rose has 30 feet. I'm telling you it's breaking this putt. I'm sitting on the green. It's breaking five and a half feet left to right. Justin Rose hits the put and starts walking after it. It's, so far left of the hole that I'm like, God, he must know he missed it. And it went right in the middle like it was a damn thimble. And I just said, dude, this just ain't it. We're just not going to win this, man.

I mean, this dude is walking 30 footers in. The ball was five feet left of the hole when he started walking. And then Scottie missed his 10 footers straight up the hill. And I was like, dude, dude, I'm sorry. I gave Scotty a hug walking to 10. I was just like, sorry, man. Keep grinding. It's all you can do.

And then we go to number 10. That was no number 8. Sorry, not number 9. then we go to 10 and Tommy Fleetwood hit it to a foot with a six iron and then Scotty's up next and flies it in the fucking hole and it bounces out into the rough and we lose the hole yeah and I just I just had enough I wouldn't set in my cart for a minute I had to have a little pity party for myself I've had enough I've seen this shit for two days I've had enough sorry my rant's over no it's okay I love you're here to rant I love that we're big fans fired up though. I think golf is just generally made to be watched on TV. It's just hard, especially the team events. I remember for the Ryder Cup last year, it's so fucking hard to see anything. I was there with my parents, you know, I'm like, we're trying to pull as many strings as we possibly could. It felt like we got about as good a setup as you can have. And like, my poor mom, I don't think you saw a fucking golf shot. I was like, I just, there's no, it's hard.

It's really hard to see the golf. The only way to watch golf at an event is sit on a par three with your buddies and play closest to pin drinking and whoever loses has to go get the next drink. pretty much what we did on Saturday on 17 at Beth Page and no matches came to 17 except we watched the only thing that happened was like Victor Hovlin rolled up and made like a 20-footer in our face and walked to the next day and we were like all right that's I guess that's what's been happening all day out there we didn't and then he couldn't play anymore after that yeah and then he quit he quit playing off after that but we did that around like a god dang

gorilla after he made that but then he had a neck injury that was crazy I forgot about how I don't know if history will remember that, but that was a wild. And the fact that when you do that when you withdraw, it's, it's half point, half point. That I remember had the sports world fired up for a few days, maybe a few hours. That's still crazy that that's the case. I still, I'll never understand why that's the case. It's like, I never even, I was a captain, didn't even know about the envelope rule. That's like, what are they talking about?

What envelope are they talking about? Should it just be a loss. It should be a loss. You can't play it. It's an L. it's like yeah like or have a reserve yeah yeah yeah exactly we got thousands of golfers that would die to play in the rider cup just have a dude that's there all week practicing in case somebody gets hurt and millions of people that would like to watch it and we just don't get to watch

another match like that's just one last scott rider cut match right for 11 points that doesn't no saying yeah I'll never understand like yeah the the fact that it's a tie and we talked about this last year so we don't have to redo the whole thing but we're going to is like what if if that was what Harris English I think if Harris English it just could argue be like I'm on the tea ready to go he's not he did not make his tea time he lose right what is the why is it any trickier than that that's just the deal also it's never it's never a good rule and they would never do this but it's never a good rule where if you if the the whole team said they couldn't play they could still win the event that's when you know you have an incredibly flawed rule where that's it's it's that gives them them a chance if if they're just like oh we're within striking distance and this will get us there then we're all done and we win yay it's like that's that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard did it wasn't there a rule in there that they couldn't do more than one though because i made that point and people jumped down my throat when i was oh i'm ready if they were up a certain

amount of points five guys could just withdraw from that day and they win i thought that there was some caveat to that rule oh i didn't know about that interesting I didn't know about that either if that's true. Maybe were people firing back at you, Frankie, whenever that clip went out or something. People were just jumping down my damn throat when I was like, so if you're up a certain amount of points, can't you just withdraw everyone in the second half of Sunday? And then they were saying there's like caveats to that rule that you can't do multiple.

I think maybe just one for one. That's why that envelope is a thing. I could be wrong about that as well. I'm just listening to the people yelling at me. Yeah. That'd be really curious. So then if you have two injuries, which like if you could have one, you could have two.

This is a scientific thing. if you can have one you can have two would be like if so the first guy would be a tie and then the second guy would be a loss I don't know yeah I don't know that would be crazy right goes against its own rule the second time immediately soon as you get as soon as you get to the next one it's just against the rule right so either scenario either either answer whether you can do it and you can just make them all ties or you can only make one time the other ones are losses both of those suck right Yeah, they're both contradictions. tiny little like regional airline that flies Martha's Vineyard in Nantucket and Boston. And like, the process is funny to me because you don't, I went on Google flights and booked this flight. Nowhere on there does it say you're going to be on like a borderline illegal airplane. It's like,

doesn't say that anywhere on there. And you just show up with just a prop plane. And like, I mean, boys, I mean, it was shocking. They asked you, the best part was yesterday morning. Dude, yesterday morning we're checking in at the Marthus Vineyard Airport.

And there's like four of us in line. There's only six seats on the whole flight, I think. Six seats. So like, we're all just there together checking in, basically. And like they asked the guy checking everybody in. They weigh all of your stuff. So obviously all your bags, your carry-ons, whatever. The carry-ons laughable because you have to put it in the wing.

You have to, like, store your bag in the wing of the plane. but as you're checking in, they make, they ask everybody what their weight is, like in front of everyone. I'm like, and I don't give a fuck obviously, but there's,

you know, this like middle age woman right in front of me and the guy's like, weighing her back. And he's like, how much do you weigh? And she's like, uh,

I mean, and like, I'm given a number, but it was, who, it was an awkward experience the entire thing. Uh, what you got.

up there and flew. I will say it was like the coolest thing in the world. You just fly over. It was like a morning flight. You flew over Boston and all that part of like Massachusetts, which is the Cape and the islands everywhere. It looked really cool. But this airplane was, who, I mean, the guy was when we, when we turned on to the runway, the pilot had the window down and had his arm out the window. He was just hanging his arm out the window of the plane. And then right before he like gassed it up, which it sounded like he was starting a lawnmower, by the way, when he turned the plane on. it like took a second to rev up and catch and turned on it was quite the flight um it was quite the flight but boy was it pretty sick sitting right behind the pilot because this guy was

just like making it happen and it was a beautiful morning um but yeah crazy flight from cape bear if anybody's ever done a flight like that you're one medical emergency away from it all being over i chat gbted how do i took a picture of the plane i said how do i lay on this plane if i need to so that it would just, and then I screenshoted like the instructions. And so I was like, if this guy goes down, we at least got a chance. Somebody read these instructions to me while I throw this guy in the back was dead and I try to land this plane. Someone told me, the guy sitting next to me on my flight home from Italy was telling me

that like 90% of all these big planes, like that international plane is a big boat. Yeah, that's insane. They were saying 90% of those flights are landed by autopilot and that 10% of them aren't just because these guys need to keep their certification. So like certain flights you have to land on your own. And like if you have a bad landing, like you'll always just know like it was like one of those user, basically human landings.

Like if like, you know, they're wobbling around. I don't know. We've talked to a lot of pilots. We've had pilots call into the show. We've interviewed a chubby pilot before. There's always, you know, we have a lot of takes about pilots, but it's definitely a wild thing, dude. It's definitely a wild thing that these guys are flying these birds through. Like, I flew over the Atlantic Ocean for a long time yesterday.

And it's just, it's, it's, it's, it's quite the scene when you're up there, just listening to that thing, hum and hoping that all the electrical wiring is working, you know? And, like, you're just hoping that, like, it doesn't just go boom. You know what I mean? Like, just like, the whole thing just, like, works. And you're just up there, way up there. And it's so calm. You're like, how is this working right now? Then you got just like a couple guys and girls up front flying the thing.

And they're just human beings who like lost a bet yesterday. And like you know what I mean? Like they're just like they're like fantasy football team has like two injuries on it. And they're just trying to like work through real life situations. And you're all just like flying on this fucking in this tube going really fast. Dude on our flight touching down into Italy. We're about to go down. Everything's down.

Landing gears down. everything. We're about, we're just over the trees. All of a sudden, the guy hits the gas. What? And we just go right back up. And we're all looking around like, dude, there's a big plane. I cannot believe we just did that. We were solo and he gets on the mic and he was kind of like out of breath. He was like, we actually goes, I made the executive decision to bring us back up in the air. We did not get clearance in time. I did not feel comfortable landing. So we're going to get back into routing and we're going to land. And I was thinking myself, like, he lied to us.

Like, I think there was something on the runway or a plane was there by accident. Because, like, what do you mean you didn't get clearance enough? Like, we were already cleared for landing. We were almost on the ground. So, like, you're telling me that the clearance for landing happens 30 seconds before we touch the ground. There's no way. I lost my mind, dude.

I was sweating because then I'm like, with everything that's going on with air traffic control and everything, we're just getting back in line. Plains are flying 500 miles an hour into what, think they're cleared for. We're just getting back in line. Like, are you sure no, are you looking around and making sure? Are you looking both ways before you cross that?

I can't imagine your headspace was in a great spot at that point. Oh my God. And then we were up there for 30 minutes. And like, you've flown overnight and you're landing at 8 o'clock in the morning. You have a welcome party for a wedding that night. You know, you're going to be up for 29 hours or whatever it is,

48 hours. And like, you're just thinking to yourself, man, maybe. Hopefully they show videos of Frankie boy, who I was because I don't know I don't know if we're making it I don't know if we're making this right now it's not a good headspace to be in there's not enough ashwaganda pills that you can take that just

get you like through that I had the thought on our flight that like our flight was small enough that if it went down it wouldn't be a big deal yeah I'm sorry wouldn't have been that crazy no it wouldn't about that too I was in Rome there probably just like an international flight went down today it's like yeah it would have been like small plane from Martha's vineyard goes down I I think people would have been like, oh, it happens all time. That's pretty normal. I wouldn't, that wouldn't even come across my desk. No, Or Riggs was on it, but we didn't even hear about it.

He just didn't make the podcast on Monday. Oh, he's dead. Wasn't a big enough plane to be, have been a big deal. I think it's so, it's so crazy that we think about those things because when Jennifer Lawrence got on my plane like a month ago, it was my first thought. I was like, this would be a big deal if this thing goes down now. Dude, it's just a huge, you have no handle over your own. life at that moment.

Well, you have no control whether you live or die. The other thing I don't like is like the learning comes after. Like whatever goes wrong, the learning happens after. And it's like, well, I'm not, that's not for me. And now that's for the everybody going forward now. Yeah, the investigation. And then they improve flight safety procedures afterwards. They're like, oh, yeah, we learned from that one.

And you just don't want to be that one. And shit now too. You never have a lurch flying. drones around around air spaces. It's just like not good. How was, uh, how was Italy? Did see Italy is fantastic. Italy is by far. Now this is no bias just because my last name is Borrelli, but it is by far the number one travel destination. The vibe are off the fucking charts. Just the best. And we did Rome's. We did Rome three years ago. We were excited to go back. I know a lot of people have mixed feelings on Rome. You know, everyone was trying to steal your wrist watches

and everything outside the Coliseum, they have all these things. My brother-in-law kept high-fiving these guys. You know, they'll be like, where are you from? And they want to give you a high-five. And then they're grabbing your rings and they're grabbing all your watches and stuff. There's videos. They'll put a wristlet on you.

And then they'll take the one you had off. And you're just like, you don't know what's going on. There's a million guys outside the Roman Coliseum just stealing from people. And like, Nick, my buddy, my buddy's slavs just like, what are from New York? I'm like, you don't have to touch them. Like, we told you about this. And you touch them. But yeah, it was incredible, dude.

My buddy Kyle, one of my best friends, got married. So shout out to Kyle and Annette. And it was just an amazing time. Rome is just, we stayed up in the Trust of Ariria area, so you're overlooking a lot of the city of Rome. And it was just this quaint, beautiful little spot. We had an amazing hotel. They just, the, I, everything that I envisioned a Rome,

an Italy wedding to be, they nailed it times a million. I mean, like the outdoor table and around this castle, the lighting, beautiful weather. I mean, just they're singing Volare. It's just unbelievable. Everything was perfect. So I couldn't be happier for them. But by far, number one travel destination.

The food is just, you can't imagine it being any better. The pasta is laughable every time you're eating it. Fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, the whole entire deal, man. The wine is endless. The people are so nice. They really care about you. It's just like you walk into a restaurant and you are their family. They're like, let's go.

What do you want? Let's go. I want to give you the best food you've eaten all day. No hangover from the wine either. It's amazing. No hangovers. You're never full. That's incredible.

And you're walking everywhere and everything's so old. Like it's just like you're walking by right by a restaurant. You look to your right and it's like these huge columns and ruins. And you look it up. What is that? Oh, those were the Russian bath houses from 212. And they're just right next to. And there's water in them.

Like it's like natural spring water. It's just, it's. preposterous what's going on over there. The history is, and the bell's ringing at 12 o'clock. It's just like, you just feel alive, man. Our hotel was overlooking all of Rome, and I would look outside my window for an hour each day, and there's just like an old Italian woman leaning out smoking a cigarette. Like all the little doors were open and all the windows were open.

People were just, they're hanging their shirts out to the air dry. It's just simple times out there, man. Oh, really good. So a lot of my other buddies made trips. out of it. So they were going down to Sorrento and up to Florence and we ended up coming back. Obviously, we got a lot of stuff going on this week and Frankie Boy and everything. So, but yeah, just the best

place. I can't recommend it enough. It's the number one travel destination. I am going to need Ryan Richardson to pull up the picture of you and Robbie Burger. We can look at these foreheads. Yeah, I was getting absolutely slammed about these foreheads. I mean, I thought we actually looked all right in that. I didn't think they were outrageous either. I didn't quite get it. We got,

yeah, as Robbie would say, we got banged. We got absolutely banged over the head. I mean, it was crazy. They came in like droves. It was every comment was about our four heads, five heads. Listen, we're a couple of hack guys. But I thought, you know, I thought the boys looked good in Rome. It was Robbie Burger's cousin's wedding. So we were at the same wedding.

And, uh, him, are you related to Robbie Burger? No, no, I'm not. My, one of my, my best friend is and my buddy's Kyle Burger. Gotcha. Look at that. A couple of guys look good. Boys look good. Right. I think it look great. Look that. I mean, look. What do you What do you want from me with my forehead? It's big.

It is a big forehead. You know, it comes out more. It comes out. I would have taken one more button down. I know what my forehead looks like. One more button down would have been elite. This was later in the night.

Like we were, you know, buttons start to come down and it's like, nipples start to pop out. But it was, it was a hell of a, it was a hell of a wedding. That's outside.

It was so nice. It was such a scene that looks like right there. What I mean? Oh, incredibly. Yeah, a lot of people talking about, I mean.

I saw a lot of Bob does that's crazy I didn't know Peyton Manning had two brothers that's so cool Burger King McDonald's set in the difference you know it was a hell of a spot dude he's just he really is on another level

Bob though every like just having conversations with them just everything that's going on in a wedding and you're having in like you know just all the little things it's like being with Larry David especially his dad his dad needs his own film crew with him at all times

was dad Mike so I've known Kenny B Kenny Berger which is Mike's brother, which is my buddy Kyle's dad. I've known him my whole entire life. Baseball, the whole deal is Kyle's been one of my best friends since we were born. So Kenny B's always been a character to me. He has his rituals.

He has his way of just doing things. He'll complain. And like when you say a story to Kenny B, it's like your favorite part of your month because you want to get his reaction out of it. And then all of a sudden you learn about Mike Burger, which is Robbie's dad. And he's even more outrageous than Kenny. You know, like this whole family is insane.

all the little things they get themselves into. And like it's just they, they really do elevate your experience. I can't imagine being around them 24, 7, how funny it is, probably exhausting with just like all the things that they get into. Just there's always just another, it's not a bit.

It's not even a bit. It's just like they find themselves like, like, Mike Rob's dad couldn't get into the room. And like, I struggled with getting into the room too because we're all in the same hotel. You like had to like unlock it to the left and push. And Robbie put up a video of him really.

trying to get in and like some people would think he's hamming it up like no like we all struggled but the way that he captured that and like the situation his dad got in it's so funny it's so natural and so real it's just really fun family to be around like I really just have such a great time being around the burgers they are a funny funny group of people they are I mean I know I've got back yesterday to get back to the bob HQ I mean I can't even imagine when I saw him sitting there watching the football games i was like i couldn't even comprehend him being that dude that time change is a is a bitch it's like seven hours plus the nine hour flight back so you're just your brain's like it's five a m but it's fucking eight o'clock at night i can't even you can't even go through your day

so he grinded yesterday good for him uh all right i think we got to do a little closer to the pen is that right ryan we do we got to recap kevin kisner's week out the oh god shit bogey i'll tell you something right now. I'll be pretty honest. I had a lot going on this weekend, a lot of travel, a lot of moving and shaking. I am living in a world right now. I have no idea how Kevin Kisner did in Asheville. I shot a four over for two days. I think I made about 13 bogies for two days. There's quite a few squares on there. Man, how was the body? How was your back? Not good? Nah, wasn't great. I didn't even hit a ball until Wednesday in the pro.m. The text messages were not very, yeah, they weren't very enthusiastic.

about going to do that. I don't know what happened. I think I practiced too much over the weekend. I woke up Monday morning. My back was super stiff. I drove all the way up there, and then I tried to go hit balls, and I couldn't hit balls. Could be the barstable curse, you know? This guy finally, he's like, we get him to start working with us, and then, like, he hits balls for a couple

watch like yesterday yep there's something about there's something about like that self-winding all like self automation like no battery powered trying to really figure out how that's working just unbelievable execution and engineering with all those complexities in there and it's just so so interesting like the pallet fork and like i really got into it man just all these insane insane movements in there on how the hell that thing ticks with no power, no energy, and how it builds its own energy. So I just found that to be really interesting. And like I listened to it on the way out there.

And then me and my buddy Andrew, who's a big watch guy. We like walk to the only Rolex AD in Rome, just walking in being like, hey, like, can we have a conversation? They're like, we don't want to look at you. Like they just kick you out. Like we don't even want to talk to you. But like now the search has started for me. Like I just, you know, something that, and you listen to people talk about, like, how their dad gave them one and, like, stays in the family.

And it always kind of holds value. Some of them don't. But if you, if you buy the right ones, it does, like, that's something I really want to do. So that's like, I'm starting that journey, I think. Because I really, I love it. I love the idea of it. I want to start that journey, too. I've been talking with Trent about it for like a year.

I feel like I haven't really pulled the trigger yet. But I'm with you. And then, dude, the whole, like, branding and marketing, like, trajectory of that. company and Rolex and like the luxury but like they could argue it's not really luxury watches and how they make such a like and make a ton of them but it feels like it's limited but can't really get one like you just mentioned like you can't just walk in and be like I will take a Rolex now like you got to go through a process and that all working out and making Rolex like more and more valuable is is an incredible how about how about the part where the name Rolex means nothing

it was just the word that he thought would be like the most accessible and that people would like the word Rolex it's he came up with it and it doesn't have any meaning whatsoever neither is Kodak right wanted to just make it sound like Kodak he just put a bunch of letters together and thought it sounded good but then when you actually break down the name Rolex he got lucky because you end up rolling it to wind it up in the beginning like they're actually you you could hear the word Rolex and think watch so that I thought that was really interesting and then the Paul Newman stuff where he was like given a he was given a Daytona.

Daytona. And then the way he handed the Daytona to his daughter's boyfriend, which was like here, after 18 years of wearing it, and that thing sold for 17 million in 2017, by the way. That's right. $17 million that watch.

He gave it to it. I don't even think the guy ends up marrying the daughter. I think they just keep referencing him as a boyfriend. That was really interesting. The military stuff. Like World War. Even the word oyster and like how they had to make that, they had to make.

where you're winding it up, the crown, they had to make that waterproof and like that terminology being oyster and like figuring out that and like not keeping it in a capsule and all of that.

I mean, we're basically just going verbatim exactly what the podcast says. Go listen to it. It's an amazing episode. The only thing that they need to almost do another episode referencing now because it feels like it was a little bit of a while,

maybe it was like a year or two ago when they did it is now what I'm reading is all of these super fakes or what they're calling them or whatever, the super, I don't know what the word they're calling. them are, but like China essentially.

Yeah. Yeah, China is essentially making fake ones and they are so hyper like high quality and so close that even the best fucking watch people in the world aren't able to tell a difference sometimes. And they're selling them for like 800 to a thousand bucks. Those are starting to flood the market because people are getting sick of being on these wait lists. Like almost the authorized dealer world has knocked away the people like me, like someone that

really wants to now join that world and, and like be a part of that whole entire community, you're not even letting me get my foot in the door because the system is outrageous. So like that part is like needs its own podcast now on like, how are they going to navigate this? If these fakes are going to match the quality and they're going to get so flooded where so many people are buying them, like you're almost your exclusivity is now going to almost hurt you, right? Because like at some point, no one's going to care about who has.

as a certificate. They're just going to be like, I want the watch that looks like it. The AD thing is, is interesting. And it's something that people talk about all the time. Like, when I was looking to get one, I went to a Rolex store in New York City. And the guy was like, I'll see you in a year. Like, that's the soonest I'm ever going to have that watch available. Yeah. So I could see how that pushes people away. Because it and it's an intimidating process. Because, you know, every other store you've gone into in your life for the most part of it, you had the money, you could buy it. And you'd be like, all right, I want this product. I want to leave with it. And now you hear all these.

horror stories or just stories about like I went in there and they were like, no, you can't get that. You're not going to get that for three years. So yeah, I could see how, you know, fakes or really, really good fakes. Now, there is still something like about like if you want a Swiss watch and like you listen to that podcast, you hear the history of it. And it's all part of that liby. Yeah.

But I of course hear what you're saying where it's like if I can't get one, why not just get one that looks just like it and works just like it. And honest, I would never buy the fake. I'm just saying more like are they going to ruin? is is that going to ruin the value of the real ones at some point like has it gotten so outrageous that like rolex won't be rolex anymore because other people are just you know the the next generation can't get them i guess is kind of right the complaint is yeah dude they do such a good job of just attaching themselves to excellence to like the athletes that they sponsor and that they're tied to and like the rolex Rolex clocks is clocks on really fine golf courses, right? Like that little, all of those little touches that they do are just like that Rolex brand is tied to excellence.

And they don't really have to do much outside of that. It's not, right? Like their ads, they don't dive deep into what watches what. It's just like the logo, the name and excellence at the highest level. And that's it. And it's so clean.

I love that early campaign they had where it was like, if you were going to rule the world, you would wear a Rolex. Or like if you, if you were going to work here and it was a picture of the United Nations, like you would wear a Rolex. If you were going to land on the moon, you would wear a Rolex. It was all different outrageous feats.

Kids, you were a Rolex guy or you got, you probably got something crazy. You probably, oh, there you go. Is that the Rider Cup one, kids? This one is. I think it's called the Bruce Wayne. Yeah, GMT Master too.

I like this. This is my favorite band of all. the ones I have. It's like that. Hmm. They call that a Jubilee. Jubilee, man. This is the thing, too, Frankie. I like to explore, too. I got to explore two of the black face that I really like.

If you, because I've gotten into it now and it's, you don't like, you can just learn a lot about it. It's obviously an expensive hobbies. You buy five watches. But like I have one and then I just, I read about them and I listen to podcast. It's just like a, it's a hobby. It's a hobby. Right. I like, Yeah, I mean, I, because I like to talk watches with our guy, Brock Nelson. He's a big watch guy. Obviously, NHL signed big contracts.

You got to end up walking into that type of world. And he's so into just everything. He loves equipment. He loves gear. He loves, like new putters. He loves wedges. He loves the grinds on the wedges. He loves how a watch works.

He knows everything about the links and the craftsmanship, man. It's unbelievable. It's just, he's so into it. And if you, he'll answer you in a second if you bring up the watch. And like, I was. texting him about like the date just Jubilee. I think it was what it was. It has that green face.

It just reminds me of just excellence because maybe of like Masters green or whatever. I'm like this is a classy look and nice watch. And he's going all in on me. I'm like, well, you got to get the 41, not the 36. Like there's just so many different.

It's just really, really cool. I do like it. And I understand it's like a outrageous price and a different type of lifestyle. For me, I'm more thinking about like owning something that, yeah, one day I could give to Frankie.

And like he's, that's something that you really can keep the family forever. It's not something that you're trying to flash around. I just don't want to get my hand slammed against a brick wall walking down New York City one day and having it stolen. I'm a pretty dainty looking guy, so yeah. No,

you know, I think you'd be all right. I think you're going to be all right. It's you'll be all right. And you don't walk down New York City anymore. I really don't. No. It's tough life out there on Long Island. Yeah. Well, all right.
