Okay. So we're doing something we've never done before where, normally when a major happens, we always record on Sunday night right after. But we never have recorded while the tournament is going on and finishing up. We are doing that now. And right now, they are on the 70 second hole, Maddie Fitzpatrick and Will Zaltors just teed off. Zaltois hit a perfect drive. Maddie Fitz, hit one into the bunker, which is really unfortunate for a guy like me who has Maddie Fitz.

I have money on him. And you also have Will Zaltors. Yes, let's make all of our allegiance is clear right now. So I bet Will Zaltors pre-Tournament 20. plus 2,800 on the Barstwell Sports book. So I've just been writing Zalotaurus all day. Trent has... I bet Maddie Fitzpatrick early in the day

He's already in, as we're recording this right now, he's in with the 67, at 5 under, one back of Fitzpatrick and tied with Zalotaurus.

They're both coming up the 18th Fairway now. Zal Taurus in the fairway, Fitzpatrick in the bunker. We're watching Keegan right now too. He's getting the hometown. He's getting the biggest smile on his face I've ever seen. He got chance yesterday. Keegan. Keegan.

I'm having a hard time processing that Matthew Fitzpatrick drive. Matthew Fitzpatrick just yanked one into the fucking bunker. We are now, you're listening to this. You know the result. We are living in a world right now. As you listen to this audio, we do not know the result of the U.S. Open. You know what's also a motherfucker?

is that on the 17th hole, Maddie Fitzpatrick hit, maybe the worst putt anyone has ever hit. Like Lurch was saying, that was the put to win the tournament. He would have two-shot lead, headed 18.

And he just, he barely hit the ball. It looked like he was going to miss the ball. So we've got a very dramatic finish. Overall, it's been a great USF. It's like you're right out of the bachelor. It's like we've got the most dramatic finish

in the history. And I will say that I think we picked a time where we have, oh, John Rom made a nice part there. We may, we might have, pick one of the more dramatic major championship finishes I can never remember. Yeah.

It's also a wild being me. I mean, I had Rory. He's clearly out of it. And then I had a bunch of top 20 and top 10 plays. But I'm just looking at each of you. Everybody's got a guy. I don't. And I'm just waiting to see the world unfold. I mean, I'm okay. If this goes to a playoff, are you going to pick a guy? Yeah. Actually, I'll have to take a live bullet

Al Torres was dialed in all day. Shephler made an amazing run today at 5 under. Oh, you know, he shot at 67, so he was 300 today, which is an insane Sunday out of him. Fuck, man. I just, I cannot believe it's coming down to these putts. It's a leaderboard, too. It's amazing leaderboard. It's just the best players in the world.

He started giggling out there, like Gary Woodland had a sneaky, like top 10 possibly. I don't know how to finish up. Because his golf game has not been in tight. But the names are just, there's not one bad name on the roadward. What an aesthetically pleasing swing he has. Gary Woodland? He does. That lag, that lag.

Oh, that is what you dream about. Biggest swing of Matthew Fitzpatrick Life right there out of that bunker. Yeah, probably. He just jumped in there. I would love to see the tracer on that. He had to start that left of that little peninsula lip thing. I'll be honest. I didn't think you could really like cut one out, like a high cut out of the sand.

I didn't even know that was a real thing in the game of golf. I thought he was just going to try to put one right in front of of the bunker or something. I don't like up the left hand left part of the green or something. Yeah. Shout out of Will Zahal Torres with the shirt and it has the, um, silhouettes of Francis we met and his catty. Easy peasy. The country club in Brookline, one of the best venues you can possibly have a major championship. The crowd has been insane all week long. This is, this is just, you want to talk about good for golf? These guys were just,

running down the fairway for Will Zalotaurus and fucking Matthew Fitzpatrick. Like the days of needing Tiger Woods may be like just non-existent. They're always going to be there. They will be, but I'm saying, we're so good. It's about a reason to be biased, I would say. Yeah, but golf is in such a good place where like this is still happening is my point. It's for sure. Right now, people are running down fairways for guys that are not Tiger Woods.

Oh my God. He missed it. Matthew Fitzpatrick has won the United States open, ladies and gentlemen. How did they not go in? That was such a good butt. How did that not go in? Our guy, Maddie Fitz, my guy today. Wow.

Mattie Fitzpatrick is a major championship. Holy shit. Wow. That is so good. That's epic. Brother in the stands, family there. And I just made $900. And he just ran.

He just gave a quick jog to shake hands with Willie Z. Won the U.S. Am there? Yep. That's his course. He won the U.S. Open. Two USGA events.

Here comes his brother. He just won the phone. His brother just gave him the. Oh, probably. He probably buddy. They're probably buddies with Will too, you know. It's true. Two young guys.

Oh, does Will a weight guy? Oh, maybe. His brother's a wake guy. Yeah, he went to go. I'm a college golf guy. There you go. You are. You are a college.

golf course, got her up, made the cut. Fucking, are you kidding me, Matthew Fitzpatrick? So cool, man. God. Yeah, that's a moment. He's weeping. Father's Day, he's got his dad there. Oh, my God.

Well, remember how emotional his parents got when he, was it at the Masters or something? Like, when he didn't do well and his mom was, like, completely just, like, losing it when he didn't make that putt? Do you remember that was this year? No. Oh, fuck. Was it, I know Ryder Cup he took really poorly. Oh, maybe it was the Ryder's down. Because he was 0 in like five at the Ryder Cup.

He took that very personally, poorly, rededicated himself. He did all kinds of speed training to pick up some distance, and then he almost won the PGA and wins the U.S. Open. He had those outlandish comments when Bryce was getting big. He was like, I can do that. I know you couldn't do it. Yeah, he gave it like the, he was pretty petty about that. And then he picked up distance and won the U.S. Open.

That's awesome. There's Danny Rap. He was just on screen there. Stiney? Stiney with a hug. I didn't know he was a stiny guy. That is cool. Rory McElroy on the green.

Those are two studs. Wow. Smacking him in the face a little bit. Wow. Good lad. Kind of slapping in the field. Good lad. You know,

an Englishman won the U.S. Open. You never like to see that as good American golf fans. You know, it's just a nice dig right into your gut. But if it's anyone, I will say, we've said that he is the people's Euro.

Yeah, he is. On this podcast, he's barstool. I mean, cannot believe it. This part looked like it was going in right down. Dude, it just stopped. I thought that pup was in for sure. That's a misread or what?

He can't believe it, dude. Third grade teacher misread? I think so. Wow. Danny Rappaport went crazy in the background. Oh, that's, yeah, and that's... That's him with his brother. He's like, oh, my God, he won.

Look his cat, he just starts crying. Fitsy with this. Fits is literally just like, wait. Skinny fat belly like me. That's so amazing. Wow. Shout out Matthew fucking Fitzpatrick. I'm glad that this,

like this i like being able to turn the mics on for the very final moments because it is that is such a historic moment for this guy in his life and now we were this is all recorded now we get to go back and listen to where we were when matt fitzpatrick won his first major you can good for fitts fitts is so awesome and fits his brother are just embracing that's very cool i'm pretty sure and obviously they're obviously close but on this podcast the preview podcast for the u.s open Danny Rap said he liked Maddie Fitz this week. I'm pretty sure. Oh, he did.

He said he loves the course. I have a story about Maddie Fitz, which I think I've told on this show, but I can't recall. But in like the 2016, I want to say, when I was lucky enough to play in the Squirrels, which is the member guest at the country club at Brookline, we were out there playing,

and Matthew Fitzpatrick was out there one day on the little chipping green, alone with a caddy or a coach somebody that was helping them all, and he was lasering chips around the green, lasering them, and then chipping to them. And he would laser it, chip to it. I'm talking he might have been 11 yards away, and then 13 yards away, and then 12 and a half yards away. And he was doing that for hours at the country club.

This was, of course, two, three, four years after he had won the U.S. Amateur there. So he just has spent a lot of time at this place. He's now won two basically major championships at this place, the U.S. Amateur in the United States Open. So this is his spot, man. This is his spot. It's getting more well known, too, that his chipping and statistics around chipping and hitting shots are insane. If you're telling me he's lasering at 11 yards. Dude, I'm telling you.

Lurch, I bet he lasered some that were in the mid single digits. I bet he was like five yards away. Well, if you're like lasering. Is that 15? If people, like, people who don't really follow golf like closely, if they know anything about Maddie Fitz this week, if there's any story that has emerged, it's that Mattie Fitz is a bit of a psycho. Because he writes down everything, every yardage, every shot. He's very meticulous in that way And you know, it ends up paying off

All that hard work all that grinding, lasering, you know 8 yard chips it paid off I've got something important to say and it's coming from a deep place in my heart I will admit I think Maddie Fitz can beat the shit out of me at this point Wow major champion when we saw him at Beth page in 2019 Things were different he was even smaller scronier From England young kid fresh out of college I didn't think he had anything behind those bones behind that meat on his

belly now he's got a little bit of a belly like me he could beat the shit out of me first u.s. open champion with braces has to be yeah and good for him for bettering i did see yeah definitely one of the golf dot com guys had a funny tweet that was like actually uh ben hogan had braces on his legs when he was oh boy right um that's very funny tweet it is a funny tweet it is a funny tweet i didn't uh that got retweet out of me tim i think wow joe gerardi with the braces is the is the most famous one that i can remember when he had braces yeah for a couple years clear arguably one Yeah, his daughter got braces. No, when he was a manager.

It's always bizarre seeing there's a mouthful of metal. I had braces. Oh, yeah, me too. And I didn't wear my retainer and they're starting to shit. All my brother and my sisters all had braces. I never got braces. Oh, very nice. Oh, it was Justin Ray that tweeted that.

That's fine. Yeah, we've got a pretty story to history with Maddie Fitzpatrick. You know, Frankie said he could beat him up in a video. And then he got pulled onto the range by Maddie Fitz's catty. He's been to the office. He's a diehard listener of floor play. I'm going to pin that on him. He's a diehard listener.

At one point, on this very show, we used to just say, like, colors at the end of the show. We would just say it was a letter. And if he was listening, like, he would just, like, text the word to someone. Yeah, like, I was listening. It looks identical, basically. He really does. I mean, he really changed. Wow.

What a good. So, I mean, instant reaction, aside from him winning, what you guys think of this U.S. Open as a whole? I will say that I'd be shocked if this place doesn't every 10 years or so get a U.S. Open. I think it was so universally loved. The fact that they get to go to Boston and the PGA Tour does not go to Boston anymore is an enormous

draw. Boston is whether you hate or love Boston sports teams, maybe the best sports town in the country. It's definitely up there, especially that's 20 years of all the success. So the fact that the United States Open, here we got his caddy taking the flag out. I always love that.

Now that they can bring a U.S. Open to Brookline that has the Francis' been met history, It's got four U.S. opens that were all excellent. It's got a rider cup. It's got so much history. And it was able to deliver. There's a lot of concern that this place is so old. I don't know if we can hold up against the modern golfer.

I think it held up pretty damn well. It was incredible. It's got to go back. It's phenomenal. I mean, this is one of the best opens that I can remember. There were so many names right there. It was hard. So many names.

The greens are just so tricky and they're so small. And the rough is the ball just dies inside of it and just so visualized. you know what's about to happen. Like off the tee, as the ball's going down, you're rooting for either to get in the fairway or get it into the rough. It's just such a fun viewing experience as opposed to like some of these other courses,

you just don't really know what you're going to get as it's going down the fairway. I thought this was so easy to like see. It was like black and white. I mean, either good or bad shot. How many guys do we see whiff on chips throughout the weekend? Balls coming back to their feet.

I thought it was, yeah, I thought Brookline showed really well. And when you talk about distance and like being old course, only nine guys were under par. So like the U.S. Open holding that end of the bargain up, I mean, couldn't be better. And it's not like conditions were crazy. They were like fine.

A little windy early, but like you're going to get chilly. For the U.S. Open probably really chilly. And probably that like affects their distances. You know, the way we think through it is like the temperature swings pretty clearly throughout the day. But yeah, I mean, if they don't go back there, it's a crime. I thought it was perfect all the way through. Yeah, I think that this will be a pretty common addition to the, United States Open

Rotation. I think that's a no-brainer at this point. How happy is Fitz going to be about that? You know, he loves this place. He's like, oh yeah, bring it back over here. He's like USAGA's Golden Child at this point. He's from England. He's been on tour from him. How about this is his first win in America? What? This is his

first professional win in America. He hasn't won on the PGA tour. He's won on the European Tour a bunch. He's never won on the PGA tour. How old is he? 27? Probably somewhere around there. I think he's been on tour I'm just thinking I'd watch the greatest game ever play. and I'm just thinking of the guy standing up and he's like, this is our damn cop!

You're not taking it from us! He's tough to like. He's tough to like. But I want to get a little bit of that next year. Hopefully they could say that to Maddie, you know, at the dinner or something. 27, you could do that to Maddie. Next to me next time we talk to him?

He dominates me. He's a fucking major champion. Yeah, he could have nothing. As if I had something on him prior to him when you guys... Well, you guys said a world-class athlete. You're like, I'll take him. You guys had won the same amount of tournament state side. Now he's got you on that.

He's got everything. He's got everything on you. So I think... Big, juicy, yeah. I think 2028, there's a decent chance they bring the U.S. Open back to here. And they should. Great. Because I'm looking, 2023, they go to Los Angeles Country Club.

2024, they go to Pinehurst. 2025, Oakmont. 26, Shinnock. 2027, Pebble Beach. And then 28, they were going to come back east. And I could see them adding the Country Club. 2029, they do Pinehurst again, which is a little south. It's not considered like northeast.

Last year, John Rom won his first ever PJ Tour event at Torrey Pines, got married at Torrey Pines, wins the U.S. Open at Tori Pines. This year, Matthew Fitzpatrick, has all the history.

He won the U.S. Ammitter at Brookline at the country club. He comes out, gets his first tour win ever and first major at this course. And when you go back through a lot of these stories in times like Tiger Woods at Torrey Pines, like that was his favorite course. We have all read the book and him going through telling Stevie like, fuck you, I'm going to win the U.S. Open at Tori Pines. That's all I want to do is play in it. And he wins the U.S. Open at Tori Pines. So it's incredible to me, even at this high of a level, how much comfort matters for them and how when they just like a golf course, they're in the mix. and it seems to propel guys like this to win

because that was a big part of the reason going in. It almost felt the storyline was too much going in. Like, oh, Fitz won the U.S. Amateurs, everybody's going to jump on his dick. And then he wins the U.S. O. It is great. I mean, he was striping it. Today was just...

Stripe show. He missed one shot on 18, pulled in the bunker, and then hit a high cut out of there on in the middle of the green two pots and wins the thing. But I agree. But to me, it just goes back to the,

like, minute and small differences of winning and losing in this game. It's insane. He wins by a half shot every day. over Zalotaurus or a quarter shot. It's like, it's just... He won by a burned edge on the 7th second hole, you know? And that's the confidence.

It's like, if that's the little difference than it does that propels you forward, then that's what it is. You know what I mean? It is really... And he had to bury that one was like a 30, 35 footer. I don't know. It was pretty deep. Wasn't half to, but like, yeah, he buried that.

Yeah, it was a bomb. But those are the breaks you get. Totally. If that doesn't go in, you know, who knows where it goes from there. Playoff now. Playoff now. He did hit one of the worst putts that we've all ever seen. seen on 171st Heltors.

I'll say, though, because it looked like he almost missed it. We were like, whoa, and then it still got to the hole. Right. So, like, that was clearly a punt he had to be defensive with, and it worked out. He was like, you know, whatever. But, yeah, that looked awful when he hit it. We were all like, he was laughing. Yeah.

I can't still can't tell. Yeah, if he was laughing at the fact that it got to the hole, like, the fact that he almost missed it. racist. Look, we love Fitz. He's not a, he's not like the swaggiest guy on the world. So we had a long conversation earlier. Like, with success and, you know,

money and wealth usually comes, you become better looking. So Fitz is obviously, well on his way. He's working on it himself, obviously. So those two things combining. I think,

you know, give it a year and Fitz could be a male super model. Oh yeah. There's going to be a time in like three or four years when you think back, look at these pictures, just like when Rory was young and winning things. He's doing the Rory. Can you believe he used to look like that?

We're currently. and Shemira or whatever he was wearing before Nike. Yeah, it was just ugly. And he had the Oakley, he had the O right in the middle of his shirt too, I think. When he kind of like bubble. I was like, what? Frankie brought it up first,

but his skin complexion. Yeah, it's different. He could. I can't tell if it's. Is that just soaked in like 75 SPS? So much sunscreen on that the sun doesn't touch it. Yeah. I think he cakes sunscreen on.

I think he doesn't care. I mean, he's got the braces, he's got the sketches. He's got sunscreen soaked into his skin. I don't think he gives a fuck. Not a guy like looking out. Hey, he wins the U.S. Open. Yeah, man.

He's out here to chart shots and hit golf shots and win U.S. opens. That's what he's here. You did it. He's told us on this show multiple times how much he loves hard golf courses. He said that at Bay Hill and he went out and played at Bay Hill and it was like 300 won the golf tournament. He's like, I love this kind of golf. This is where I thrive. And then he goes in his first win in the United States is the U.S. Open.

You know, I'm really happy for Maddie Fitz. Not because he's just put $900 in my pocket, but because. Well, that's part of it. But $900 that you lost on Morikawa. Yeah, because I put a cool grand on him to win. Which was an insanely aggressive but awesome play. That was yesterday, right? Yeah, yesterday.

To win the tournament or lead that? To win the tournament. No, I saw Morikow yesterday smiling. He seemed confident. He was playing in a final group of Joel Damon who... You saw him walk in is where you like, you know, you pitched a tent in those pants. When you saw him walk in? I did, yeah.

And he was playing with Joel, Joel Damon, who we love. and he actually kept it together, I think more than people thought. He really could have let... Joel could have let the wheels come off yesterday, but he kind of righted to the ship and ended up playing well today, too. But I just felt it with Morakao. Didn't end up happening, didn't matter. And then Mattie fits this morning.

Morikawa, that was tough break for you. Yeah, and he was trying to 27 on Saturday. He was going to win the golf tournament. He was right there. He didn't have the greatest start, but he's still right there. And then you placed a healthy wager on him, and he then shot his worst round in major championship history. Instant.

Seven over par. What are he finished? 200 for the round? So if he plays that... You show of 68 today. Scottie Schaffler, one stroke away after four rounds of just solidifying, maybe one of the greatest years in sports history, definitely golf history. It's still on the run.

He is on the run. I know. Finishing second is... I mean, also think about... I'm blanking on the name of that tournament, but he lost to Sam Burns. What's that? John Deere? No.

He lost to Sam Burns in a playoff a couple weeks ago. He's just been there. Colonial. He's been there over and over and over again. Yeah, he didn't win today and he didn't win a colonial, but it's still, he's still stacking up one of the greatest years in golf history. It's amazing. It really is. He has a chance to win every single golf tournament or major that he plays in, and a real chance. He finished tied for second, one shot out of a playoff, Scotty Schaeffer, after the year that he's had. And he very well, I'd be stunned as everybody else would be if he's not in the mix of the old courses. 100%. And that's with like struggling on the

back nine. And I know you can take that. with a grain assault because he lights up the front nine so it's like if you don't do that you should do that. He does embarrass the front nine out there. Four over through three holes at one point yesterday, right? Yeah. Is that what it was? And then today he went boogie, bogey on 10 and 11 and then missed on 14. So it's like there's all these chances. You think back

to an entire round of golf or an entire tournament, entire championship. When you lose by one, there's so many shots you can think back to and Scotty had three on the back nine. That's the guy that should have won in my opinion. That's your guy. Yeah. All right. That aside, though. Don't you don't just see what I'm saying?

Right, but I mean, he was four under through six. So it's like that's an insane start to the golf course. I know. I mean, shot he hit on, it was like he was. Just felt like he made more mistakes than the guys ahead of that, like, Fitz and Zalachar. It was more up and down than anybody was. No doubt. No doubt.

So today we had some, Grace and Murray. Oh. Took over the tournament at about 10, 11 a.m. This video service. I haven't seen Grayson Murray the name in a long time. been a while. I'm really just him like kind of trying to troll Kevin Nah

and then Kevin Nah basically just dunking on him all the time. He buried him. I'm just like way better at this than you are. Something about like I'm sick. I'm sick of you. I'm sick of you missing cuts or something. Yeah.

Nah, just buried him. Yeah. It's just like way, again, way better if you're just going to compare the two more accomplished. Professional standpoint.

Way better at what. It's always hard to punch up when somebody's just like if I'm going to dunk on you. I can whenever I want. Rayson's like chirping him about pace of play and like oh yeah, nothing's worse than having to watch Kevin. line of a putt or something and he was like not the words trying to make you like try to make a cut

or something like I just buried him and then Grace had just a hammered and then he said Murray took it horribly and started like sending like mean tweets responses and you're like dude you just got buried like you can't fight on Twitter you just accept the punch and go on grace and Murray's always been a little unhinged on Twitter yeah

I think that's right clearly he's an unhinged guy well yeah and it just you know it materialize on the golf course today for everyone to see yep and today he this video again just popped up and I was like I even know he's in the tournament and then he tomahawked his putter after missing putt. You know what I didn't like about that? It's okay to throw your putter, fine. Then he walked and went and got it.

Well, I'd rather him do that than the caddy. Like, he needs it. I'd say, just leave it. Just putt with your wedge. Yeah, if you're going to be that angry and you're so mad at the way you're playing and the way that you're putting, and you tomahawk your...

Never seen a throw like that. Putter me either. Dude, the over-the-top-top hawks. Just into, like, the shrubs. The long grass. He threw it and then... Then he got Lymes disease with that. instantly started walking towards the putter

and it's just like, just leave it. Then he follows it up and snaps his wedge. Oh, yeah. He was 15 over. He's not going to win with a putter without a putter. I don't know what club it was. No, yeah, but he snapped it and then like did the, like just like bent it like rebar, you know. The announcers are like shrieking in hard.

And it's a prime example also of like we talked about this with Billy Horshaw. I mean, there's a lot of frustration in sports and we just, you know, you see it all the time. We just watch the Yankees game. They lost the Blue Jays and guys are like slamming the fucking bats down when they don't get a hit in the ninth inning and they're smet they're smashing things in the dugout and it's just a different culture but also you have to like earn the respect at some point on the tour to be able to do that and that's just the way the world works like we accept that rory tossed his golf club and smack the sand like a little baby what was that like friday or thursday like that was

insane but if like grace of murray did that we'd be like oh boy call the fucking police because he doesn't deserve the respect on the golf course as rory mackerel it's just the way the world works case by case case and grace and mary you're a lunatic and rosa mary and romewry and Roy earns a lot of that, by the way, he speaks. We know how Rory is as a human being because he's out there. He's open. He's candid. And so we have a much more affinity for him.

Whereas when you just take shots at people for basically for you clearly are not in a position to be able to take shots at people if you're Grace and Murray. And then you take shots. You get dominated. You don't handle it well. And then you come off like a baby on the broadcast as well. It doesn't help. We've got a small sample size of Grace and Murray. It's pretty bad.

That's scary. That's right. Rory, we've got an insane like. encyclopedia of information. With him, it's like we've got two things in both sides. The problem is when you're watching the main coverage of a golf tournament, you're watching the U.S. Open on fuck and NBC, the only time they're showing Grayson Murray is when he's throwing a golf club.

So that's a real negative for him that like that's the only time he's getting TV coverage. Rory, we get to see amazing shots and him interactive fans. We're cutting to Grayson. You know it's a bad moment. It was also funny because all the clips from him, they have a little scoreboard on the bottom right. And it's like Grayson Murray plus 15. Yeah.

He's a slamming club. What does he expect? Like, that's the funny part. You're Grace and Murray. What are you expecting out there? I know he's a professional athlete and wants to win the thing, but you're plus 15.

Like, you don't, you can keep that club in the bag. You don't have to toss it across the shot. You can sit at the best, too. It's like, we had a horrible shot. It's like, what do you expect? You hit horrible shots all the time.

It should happen every third and a little bit of here. We're looking at this conversation. I think we all get mad. It's like, you know. Of course. Totally. Yeah. Throwing stones, I guess.

33% of the time. I would say we hit horrible shot. It would be interesting to know, like, when is it real bad? Like, those percentages, like, when you got your stats, like, all right, I hit 4% of the ball's pure and, like, 16% to Colchink. Oh, something like that, yeah. We're not good. No.

He came out great again at a major, which now I think he's kind of building up to it. We've been saying it for a decade, but he's been building up to it because he had the issue for a while where he couldn't start. Now he started well, two majors in a row, the PGA and the U.S. open and not been able to close. He was right there. He had a couple bad rounds. Wasn't really piecing it together. Finish pretty strong today. I think he finished top five.

Yeah. Two under. I think he was four back. Is that right? He was T-Fee finish. T-Fee-Fee-Fee. T-Fee-Fee. T-Fee-Fee-Fee-Fee-Fee-Fee-Fee-EF. T-Fee-Fee-E-you- know. You just have to think he's going to get over that. He's going to get over that hump, but man, he just isn't.

Coming up on a decade. Talking those major humps. I mean, obviously, he's, won tournaments in between there. He won the players. Yeah. He's still Roy McElroy, but boy, I think, you know, go back to the last major that he won. If you had said, all right, in 2022, how many is this guy going to have?

We'd be like he'd be pushing double digits. Yeah. If you took a zero on that, that bet would pay. Oh, yeah. You'd love to know the odds on that. Tied with Brooks Kepka for majors. Unfortunate. Very.

Yeah, we got to get him a fifth. We got to get Rory a fifth. He does. He doesn't have a Jordan Spath. I will say, I do think he is like. more dialed in than ever. Yeah. And seems to care more.

Like, I don't know if that, you know, like post, you know, him winning kind of Greg Norman comments, that whole bit. Like, I don't know if we get that kind of like club throw and like emotion out of him. He wants to win. I feel like there's a reinvigorated fire under the Rory McElroll. Well, he's like that, is it a high school football player? Remember, you ever see that viral video where he's like somebody's got their swag of bag? Yeah. That's Roy right now where he probably has that ignited fire.

which is great I think he likes being the guy who shoulders like being the ambassador of the PJ tour like I think that's something he likes and it probably helps him play better golf because he's like oh

I got to be a guy who I'm stealing this again rigs meet the moment like he's just got to he's like all right all of this is now, the focus is on me, the focus is on us. I got to represent this entire thing and be like, this is what golf is supposed to be, professional golf. And I think that makes him play better golf.

I also would say that I think Rory knows he's good at that. Yeah. He knows that that's one of his qualities. He knows that he's in probably, I think in order to be as good as he is at it has to believe that he's the right guy, that his mindset is right. I think he believes that he thinks through things in a pretty genuine, good, honest, way from a good place with good integrity and therefore I think that he I think you're right I think he enjoys being the guy and I think he he uses it as fuel and I think it also is coming at a

point where he his game is sharp it's about as sharp as it's been in like eight years he's very consistent and I think he's in a really good place overall with family I mean he's got poppy is that his daughter's things are good yeah poppy and the wife and it sounds like he's always positive about life back home and how the barstle sports guys talking to us Big deal. Things are kind of going hand in hand. I mean, we saw him in what? Was it November?

Yeah, November. And now we're seeing him here. I mean, the guys are playing good golf around in our presence. Like, think about a guy who's in a similar position, Justin Thomas, doesn't seem like he wants that to shoulder that load. Not that he doesn't want to,

but like he doesn't necessarily feel that's a huge priority to him, especially when he's got Roy standing right next to him when things like this are going on. So it's just, yeah, I think he really, I think Roy realizes, how good he is at all of this. There's a lot of evidence,

a lot of interviews that support that. And I hope that, I want him to win another one, so it really explains. He doesn't want to shoulder that load, Trent? You take that a sexual way? It's hard not to. Shoulder the load?

Isn't that I think people's like? I think so. Yeah. I'm just saying it's hard not to take that load right on the face. That's exactly what I'm picturing. But it's like glancing off the shoulder. I'm just,

I want to call out someone. that's just such a good golfer that it always stuns me, but I don't know why at this point. It's just, he should, he is one of the best golfers of all time at this point. He Deky Matsuyama is so fucking good at golf.

It's crazy. Fired a 65 today. Flubbed that chip on 17 where, I mean, they were, Paul Asinger, legitimate. It was like, that's the worst chip I've ever seen my entire life. He should have had a birdie, which is just crazy to call out a birdie from the fairway. But I just want to call him out because he shot 65. The next closest was a 66 and the entire golf course. What did he finish out for the tournament?

Solo four. at three under, three back of Fitsy. So it probably wouldn't have, nothing would have made a difference had he made an up and down on 17. But that guy, being able to go out there on that golf course, how hard that is. Burdies are so hard to make.

He shot a 65 today. That just shows that, like, you can never count that guy out in every single tournament that you're betting on. How are you not thinking about Hadeki Matsuyama? He has the talent to go do that on a Sunday in a major. Yeah, his ball striking is insane. We all were like, oh, why are they showing him?

And I forget what hole is on, but he ripped a hybrid out of the rough, covered a bunker and rolled it up into the middle of the green. All of us were like, that's like, he just saved three shots. Yeah, it's amazing. I'm looking, um,

fun fact, I think the highest, uh, finishing live golfer is DJ, tied for 24th at four over. Is that right? Yeah. And I think live guys are just going to,

they're get all the money, but they're going to play less golf and they're not going to do as well. Yeah, somebody wrote an article that was, uh, might have been Danny Rapp or Dylan to chair. One of those guys, or maybe they just shared somebody else who wrote it. I didn't even read the article.

I just saw the headline that was like the biggest issue these guys have to worry about is getting worse at golf. And that's a good point. If they care, though, because I don't think DJ cares. Well, then. But other guys will. Yeah, they clearly don't care as much about their performance because they wouldn't be doing the tour and all that.

But if they want to play in majors and try to win majors, they're just going to not be as sharp. They're going to be not as good, right? Going in because the competition's not as high. You're not pushing yourself as much. not playing as frequently, and all those things. So that's clearly a concern. And I think the tour has to be pretty pleased that we didn't have a live guy up there in the mix.

Phil horrific showing. Phil kind of did. If you went back to our podcasts, probably around the Masters, maybe even leading up to the Masters, Phil had the week that we all predicted he will at some point have and should have, which is like, come take your licking at the presser at the beginning of the week. You're going to look and sound like you have to answer shitty questions. He answered him shittily, but didn't really say anything. And then got made fun of for a few days, came, played terrible, missed the cut, gone.

Not storyline. But that's like pretty much what was going to happen, no matter what, right? Yeah. Yeah. And I think the other side of live guys not having great success is potentially the courses that they'll play aren't up to snuff with regards to like PGA tour standards and how much like manicuring goes into these. I mean, Brookline was immaculate. Yeah. And I don't know if those standards and that prep.

time of like setting up a PGA tour course is going to be the same for those courses. So I think a lot of those things bake into it. But yeah, we don't think any of that had anything into effect into this one, right? I mean, they played no, because. Yeah, exactly. No, but I'm saying like in the future. It's going to be five years into this thing. Like if they're playing only eight or 12 events.

Yeah, I mean, like DJ just says like I want to play less golf. Do you think DJ is going to be affected like that's like this year or next year? No, no, no. I would say at the end of this year or next year, certainly. If you're not playing that level of golf every week. Like DJ beat like so many good golfers this week. You know what I mean? Like he's still

Right JTB to be like a lot of good guys I would say that like Yeah we'll just see Yeah but like other like worse golfers than DJ beat him I don't think that argument Yeah no no no not one event No no no not one event

But I think over time just like I don't think DJ's golf game is really any worse than it was I would say it probably had more of a psychological effect Maybe yeah Just they're dealing with a lot distraction Maybe lack of confidence maybe extra pressure Because they know they're live guys And people work hard on them

You know that probably doesn't help And like we said, going out in a major, like a fucking lip burned edge on the 70 second hole, it's the difference between glory and just like, oh, yeah, another runner up. And so when you're trying to find that little edge over, over 280 shots or whatever it is, over the course of an entire week, like going in with a little bit sluggish and like, oh, fuck, people are chirping me. Probably doesn't help, but no, I don't think them play in one tournament in London. No.

And you start thinking, I can do this. I can do that. I'm watching these guys just stripe it. Imagine if it's Patrick today just striped the golf ball. Thinking like, okay, I don't have to do it to that level. He's playing the hardest course in the world. I'm going to go play pretty easy courses generally. I can just like do kind of a version of that.

It gives you blind confidence. Totally. It's not true. But I feel it right now. If I pick the clubs, I'll feed. I just got paid out. There you go. There you go, Trent.

Where do we think as a group, where do we think, I want the whole group involved in this? That's why I specified that. Where do we think Will Zalotoris is that in his headspace going back to back second place finishes and majors? Is it confidence that like, man, I'm right fucking there and I'm so young and I'm hitting the ball amazing? and I'm draining all these puts, even though people say have the ugliest putting stroke of all time, which he does. Or is it like,

fuck, I had two chances. I was right there. Sort of like the Rangers. Like, you're right there over the fucking Tampa Bay Lightning. Like, you got to do this all again, man.

If like Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, I got to hit all these shots and everything's got to go well. The Rangers. There's one a year. He got four of these. It's way worse.

If I'm Will's Al Torres, and I don't know if this is how he looks at it, obviously, but I would use it as gained experience. And, like, building up, like, knowing what those moments,

moments feel like because we talk a lot about there when we're watching I forget who it was but like having pressure filled puts and pressure filled moments like that it can't be something you ever get used to but the more you're in it the more you know how your body's going to react how your brain's going to react so if I'm will Altoris yeah I could have won two majors back to back to back to back I didn't but all that all that experience that he gained I think I think that's the takeaway if you're a guy like him in his position like we know that he's not a great putter Yeah. But he is. He's going to be looking inward. He is a great putter. No, I know. He's a fantastic putter. But early on through the first five, he's two over par and he made some bad putt's.

So I think he's looking inward. Yeah, but I think statistically he's like one of the best. Statistically, he's not a bad putter. Right. Which is incredible. Which is insane. He just looks horrific. He looks horrific.

He brings the thing back. He twirls it. I think Tia was ain't churn the butter, which I like. And then somehow he like strains it out and hits balls in the cup. But yeah, I mean, how about when they dogged him and did that stuff? He like toes it. The lines and shit. The balls were over end.

And then they took his point. That was mean. Seven different ways outside of it. That was hard to watch. If he had the Taylor Made striped response ball, the Tor response ball, it would go end over end. It would roll straight. Even though he doesn't hit it off. I would love to see how he does in those putting labs when they show us like they're holding like the wand essentially at the Taylor Made kingdom.

It would be interesting to know like it, you know, if his swing is like 100% back and through at how much percentage of his swing is actually squint. squared up. You know what I mean? Is it like just one percent? You think he even gets the club face like zero? You think like the club face path is zero point zero? It's got to be like no one degree right or something like that. He's coming legitimately in right to left. I don't like Tiger Woods putting stroke. He brings it inside a little bit and not like make sure he releases it. No, but I'm saying nobody's is perfect. He does like a little bit of a push. Right. He hits like an inside push kind of like draw with his putter on purpose. It is interesting. Like if Willie Z goes back and he's like, I need to figure out answers. How am I T2? It's like it's a coin fund.

You know, like, what does your coach say? It's like, dude, just try to do the same thing. The wind blows a little bit more on that last 18th green and pushes his ball in, like left to right. He's just in a playoff and maybe wins the U.S. Open. That's like not really something you can find on the drawing board. I'm sure he could go back and dissect his entire round Thursday, Friday, Saturday Sunday, and find 15 shots that he would like to get back. But that's not fair to anyone.

That's not fair to himself. It's not fair to his future self. I'm putting all that on you. It's just the way it works, honestly. Yeah, maybe that's the takeaway. just keep doing what you're doing. You're clearly playing so well that like the guys who need help are the guys who missed cut or who didn't, you know, who didn't make a showing at all.

Like if you're tied for second or you're finishing second in majors, just keep trying to do that and eventually you're going to win. So I'm looking at the stats right now for the 2021, 2021, 2022 season. Will's Alatora, strokes gained off the tee is sixth. Strokes gained approach to the green is first. Strokes gained tea to green is second. Strokes gained putting. he's 160th.

Okay, so it's not a good point. So now I will say I do believe leading, like, because after the, was it the master's, hold on, I do believe earlier it was, he was horrific, and then I think since one of the major events,

he made some serious changes. And like, I think, I'd be curious to see his stats actually at the ESO, but statistically this year for the entire season, not good. Bad. Pretty evident that's what we're going to work on. That is bad.

That's our takeaway. And it's crazy because I watched him, him before he went off, they were showing him on live from before he teed off, I think on Thursday. They were showing him for like three minutes and he was walking around the putting green with just one ball and going all kinds of different spots, but probably in the like six to 15 foot distance and just picking random spots and making it every time. I mean, he made it every time. Just walking around different spots and I was like, holy shit.

And then he actually, from those distances, it feels like very confident. Yeah. Last putt in the second. Oh, it was a great pot. Right. It just didn't quite go in, but he made one on 17 from about the same distance. So, like, he's, yeah. It would be interesting.

Can you go further in those stats? Can you see it, like, different ranges in those stats, too? Because I think inside five feet, he is 287th. But then from, like, five or I would say, like, yeah, eight to 15, he's pretty good, in my opinion. I mean, he was rolling balls in. It's just when you get inside. He takes the club, and he brings the putter in. and then swings it outside, barely squares it up.

Those are bad. So he was plus 1.8.1.84 putting this week, and Fitzpatrick was 0.07. He was almost two shots better than Fitzpatrick putting all week, all of him. Yeah. See, I think his putting actually, yeah. He was a better putter by two strokes. Strokes game putting. He was T-13th in the US Open. Wow.

Holy shit. So that wasn't a problem. Can you see where, I mean, he finished T-second. His strokes gained short game 34th. His strokes gained a number of putts, or just total number of putts, was T7. His strokes gained off the T-55th, which is probably bad for him. Fairways hit 33rd. Yeah, he did hit some wimpy cuts off the drive.

I think, I mean, he is right there, though. Like, Frankie made a point that kind of, like, made me think. It's like, Fitsy talked about, oh, you hit a great one in, and I was like, oh, actually, I pulled that. It's like, he's one stiff breeze from helping him like, get to a flag. Yeah. And then he's in a playoff. I mean, like, you know,

the wind picks up. Like, they basically tied. Right. It's like kind of insane. Every golf tournament ends in a tie. Every single one. Yeah, he did a great job. Yeah.

You get the same. You should get the same. Makes me want to puke thinking, putting myself in their shoes being like, man, how am I going to win this thing? Yeah. Your brain would rot right on. We're all the same guy.

Shout to Billy Foster. He had an amazing moment, kissing the 18th flag. Yeah, really cool. The USGA flag. Dylan DeCare tweeted out that Billy Foster's been a top tier caddy for 30 plus years. Carried the bag of Sevy, Darren Clark, Thomas Bjorn, Lee Westwood,

and today he won his first major championship. What a moment on 18. Imagine carrying the bag for those big names and Maddie Fitzpatrick, the little boy that just with the braces on and the white pigment face and the whole thing. He just fucking got it done for you. That's an amazing moment. That is cool. Billy Foster, which is a name that I thought was out of Peaky Blinders.

Rory stuck around and slapped Maddie in the face a couple times after he won. I thought that was really nice. Yeah. We have that live on this. reaction. Yeah. We do? Oh, yeah.

We were like, we were already just smacked them in the face. Oh, man. It was unbelievable. We did this. We started this thing when that thing was.

Anything that happened after the first T? We've been talking about it. That's right. Anything that happened post when post last putt? Yep. We talked about it.

Like he's such a, he wants to win like the big ones guy that now he feels like he's accomplished like his thing that he wanted to accomplish. I would love to know who his brother breased him for too. Had to be Willie Zee because they're both weight guys. Yeah. I would love to have that confirmed. He did breeze him.

He squeezed your brother who just won the U.S. Open? I'm not breezing my brother. Waterline didn't say hi. I just kind of, I'll get you a little bit. Yeah, later. It's almost like, yeah, the scores wrong. Will he won this thing or no? I'm confused.

I'm confused on who won the tournament. We all are. That's a tie. Yeah, it's a tie. I'll take my payoff for the Barstall sports, but I was a tie. It's really cool to think, too, that Maddie Fitz now is immoralized at the country club at Brookline.

and Maddie Fitzpatrick has won two, the biggest amateur title you can win and the biggest golf title you can win. Also just an English stud now second Englishman in 50 years to win the U.S. Open. Justin Rose, 2013. So he's just up there with like the great, like in England you're just a fucking Maddie Fitz diehard.

You went over the US Open or US oil. He won the US Open in Boston. You went over there. At the country club. Dude, you're past Lee Westwood. You're past Ian Poulter. You're just, you've just, you've just lapped the English field.

The only person is like Justin Rose. And you have a whole career ahead to like catch him and beat him. I don't know the answer to this because I don't live there. But do they view like their guys coming over to win here as much like we love when like one of our guys goes over and wins the open? I'm sure. We get up for that shit. We're like an American going over there and we dust at them too. I mean, yeah, they're out.

I got a thing. They're trying to get every win they get. They got to win golf tournaments. At some level, too, the, like he wins at the country club. At the old course is a park on some days. You know, it's like, coming to the country club and beating like, you know, these preppy A-holes is got a feel. All right, we're even.

And so we've got no Tiger Woods in the mix. I will say that for a tournament with no Mr. Woods, it was electric. Electric. It was so good. Almost too electric for my liking. I got a little carried away when we were watching it live. I'm like, the fact that golf is at that spot where people are sprinting down the fairways,

and I know they probably would do that for anyone. But that was a pretty good week for golf that a non-Tiger Woods week. Well, here's a thing. Top five. Fitsy at one. Sheffler and Zalotaurus, T-2 each. Matziyama 4, Morikawa, and Rory, T5. So, I mean, if you're talking...

You got Romm below that. Most of those guys are in their 20s, late, or like late, mid-20s, a couple guys in their 30s. Right, you had a bunch of guys in the mix, but you can't have a better top five. I mean, switch one or... Yeah, it's... That's crazy. That's what you need to carry the torch of Tiger. Credit to our friend Joel Damon.

Amazing week. Kept it together. He kept it together. He finished T-10, which I believe he finished T-10 at the S-O-Bening. that gets you in for at least a year? I don't know the exact thing, but I know if the top 10 is big for you. He teed off in the final group on Saturday at the U.S. Open. They kept running the story where, you know, he didn't,

he wasn't even sure if he wanted to go to qualifying because it's long 36 holes. He's Joel Damie. He probably just wanted to crush a bunch of seltzers and I have to worry about it. What's the quote he had? What concert was going to do? Ben Richter. Ben Richter. He's like, it's going to be tough for me not to crush a hundred beers tonight.

What was that Thursday or Thursday night? And then he still went out and played great again Friday. He got himself in the final group with Colin War, Kau, on Saturday. Didn't have his best, but kept it together. He got one under, I think, is what he was at going into the weekend. Took the bucket off. He finished it even par at the U.S. Open. And only, you know, nine guys, basically, between himself and winning the golf tournament.

So shout out to him. Love Joel Damon, bucket hat, the whole deal. Him and Gino, his caddy. So awesome stuff from Joel. We love to see that. Quick. Did the weather pick up Saturday afternoon? I mean, Joel and Colin, Joel shoots 74, Colin shoots 77.

What happened in that final group? It's just hard, man. I think it's hard. I think that's what happens. You sleep on it and just a mess? I like, those are bad scores. Joel was in the final pairing on Saturday, and they had a 3.45 tea time. And Gino was at just some public range just hitting golf balls at like 10 o'clock in the morning.

You tweeted out, like, just getting some hacks in. I thought that was pretty cool. Caddies are golf nuts. Yeah, they are. That's how they get into that game. Just needed to, like, imagine watching so much golf that you just need that itch. I say it about like Ebug and Jake all the time. They fucking have to be behind the camera sometimes.

I feel like a pit in my stomach that like they're just watching golf. Like I just got to hit a golf ball once in a while. You know what I mean? Like that's how Gino felt. Like I just got to smack this golf ball. I can't keep watching. I will say the starting times were 345. 345 is too late.

That's preposterous. And they got it right today because of the possibility of a playoff. But who are you appealing that? Like is it the West Coast people? Like is that prime time over there too? Like why is it 345 on Saturday? I was ready to go at noon. Yeah.

Four hours to their time. I don't care about anyone. That's why he was hitting ball. From 25th place to whatever place they're in, they can tee up at 5 o'clock in the morning for all. I give them a fuck. Just give me all the guys I want to watch at 11.30, 12 o'clock. Yeah.

It's almost like 20 guys should make the cut. Yeah, it's all nonsense. They're all playing for themselves. We're not watching them. We don't see a single shot. No. Except the putter throw out of racing. Yeah.

He screwed, he, I forget what old is, but he screwed something up. And I got bummed and I was like, I want to eat cheesecake. And the bar we were at, they had Owens, mixers, but they did not have cheesecake.

I didn't expect them to have cheesecake because it's like a bar. No. I asked them if they had a dessert menu and he laughed at my face. Yeah, that's kind of the spot we were in. We were like, uh, we got to ask if they got desserts. Good bar doesn't have desserts. So I, um, what ignited the cheesecake? I was bummed out about the way Maddie Fitz was by cheese cake.

I don't want a cheesecake. Okay. You were just sad, didn't see a commercial. Too many Greeks salads. That's the last time you've had a cheesecake. Been a while. Yeah. That's some random ass thing to just want.

You know, not ice cream, not a fucking Snickers bar. You want it to a cheese. I wanted cheesecake. Yeah. Maddie Fitz wasn't playing well. So I looked up bakeries near where we were. Carlos Bake Shop pulled up. Yep.

I ordered it. We went to pick it up, Lurchin I. Mm-hmm. And when we got there, it was a great spot. We started talking. We started talking on the way over about walkables. We wanted walkables because we wanted to, while we were walking back, be eating something. But we don't want to eat the cheesecake because then we'd get back and we wouldn't have anything.

That's right. So we started talking about walking canolies. Right. Which is a great way to eat something before you show up. So it looks like you eat. a normal portion. Right. But you eat that on the walk.

So we got a bunch of canoles lurched through in a cookie at the end. Ebug got a black and white cookie. And yeah, we got cheesecake and canoles and just ate all of them. I think I ate those the amount of time. It took Homa. Too much and 20 seconds.

Yeah, I had a canoli on the walk buried another canoli as soon as they got there. These are big canoes. Yeah. Then I had cheesecake. Actually, no. Sorry, I had a canoli on the walk as well. is the chocolate chip cookie because I really wanted to hide that.

Probably two-minute walks. Then I shoved that cheesecake down and then I finish with a canolae. Now, if you've been following this week, you watched us on the stream on Thursday. We just got back from Boston. We get to Hoboken. We start the week off with some betting. Everyone's excited. Trent Daddy shows up, orders a Greek salad.

Yeah. Obviously, vibes are off the chocolate. Like, they're just off. He lost his first couple bets. Yeah, the universe was off. I started like kind of giving it to him a little bit. That's a revisionist history because I want a couple of bets. Right.

But I'm saying like, you know, he thought that he said, I need to start changing things. I mean, you can explain your decision behind the Greek salad on things. Well, I'm going to die soon. So he thought a little bit of green would help. We were pretty spiteful and we ordered like wings, pretzels, fucking cold cuts. Nobody was trying to be eating healthy around the Frankie Breil. He's a fucking dick of all. I mean, that's in anything.

If you're like up, Frankie's there to just cut out your legs and bring it down. That's cool entertainment for this guy right here, you know? It's just a fun little day. Turns out bullying. Yeah. Well, you were strong. you didn't have it. He did have a second Greek salad because of how much we were eating behind him. But I want to say

what happened from Thursday to Sunday? What happened from Greek salad, Trent that didn't win a bet to canoli cheesecake, pounding it down your gullet, winning a bet, Trent? I reverted back to who I am. And you won. I referred back to who I am. You said I was being a dick and bullying.

You were being a dick. And you fucking lost. And now look at you. That's again, revision. Swing. Ah, well, I saw it on Thursday. Sugar. I'm going to swing my swing to a 35-year-old gray. is what I'm going to do. But at least you had a canoli on the way. You know?

Speaking of, if we're going to be off topic, I want to give a shout out to all of the movers in the world. Wow. So this weekend, I missed the Friday stream out here in Hoboken because I moved out to Long Island. I've been talking about that. I officially

made the move. Suffolk trash now. Out to Long Island. I'm very excited. I got my new place. But what I did for the first time in my life, I hired movers. I was just like everybody else in their 20s, early 20s, mid-20s, late 20s, when I would move, I would call up one of my friends or two of my friends, whoever was unfortunate enough to pop up in my phone, and I would supply them with beer or money or pizza or whatever it took to get them over to

move my beds and my couches. I said, no more of that. I'm a 33-year-old man. I'm going to hire movers. Best money I've ever spent. Best money I've ever spent. Yeah. I would say a general thank you to all movers

is probably just warranted because no one, it's just cliche to say how badly moving sucks. I know. But it's everyone goes through it and everyone relates. And in those moments when you are moving, it is the worst thing in the world. You think I work and I do all these things in life to avoid ever having to do something like this.

So when you are able to hire movers, if I'm correct, you were able to hire them to agree where they came, took everything, from scratch and just presented it to your new place. Right. So I called this moving company that I picked. Because, you know, the excuse I used with the person on the phone was like, I'm traveling a lot. Like we're all over the country. So I'm not going to have time on the day of the move. I'm going to be like just getting back. So I'm not going to be able to get boxes and put all my stuff.

Is there an option where if I pay a little bit more money, a couple hundred bucks or whatever, will they just show up to a lived in a that has everything like a person that's just been living there, me. Yep. Can they pack everything up and move it to Long Island? And they said, we have that option. And I said, I'll take it. So on Friday, when the mover showed up, I let them in the building. I gave them a key.

I walked the guy through and said, I need all this stuff to go to Long Island to my new apartment. And he looked around and he said, yep. So you basically, you basically, they've folded his clothes. It's like you went to work. from one address came did your deal when you left word you just went back to a new address and that nothing else changed you're like my stuff teleported there dude and it's and i know this i i tweeted about this and was it in the same order like was it like around the room so they

and the guy like uh exercise a little decor so they did move they moved all my clothes and when i got that they hung up all that stuff but the boxes they just put boxes okay so that's pretty good but they hung up clothes or funny if you called him like uh you're 10 minutes You're going to have a hang up clothes. It's nice. Dude, it's, yeah. And I tweeted about this saying, like, it's the best one I've ever spent, hiring movers. And it's something people are actually pretty sensitive about.

Like, you got to pay your movers. You got to pay them well. Because they're doing a hard job. You say more curse words in a movie. It's manual labor. It's a hard job. And it's like, and I did. Like, I paid them.

I paid them well. And that's just what you got to do. Yeah. Hopefully their prices are good. Right. Yeah. The movers need to just adjust their prices correct. No, no.

they're saying tip? Like, you want a tip? tip these guys a lot on top of what you pay or what? Well, at least like tip them something. But like, I'm just saying like one of the main responses of that tweet was like, make sure you paid them well. And it's like, yeah, but I'm a monster. Well, no, but also it's like that's sort of like, what do you,

whatever they ask, you're going to pay. Right. But you're not going to go to them and be like, you know, I'm going to pay $200 less actually. It's just I could feel it. It's one of those things where people like, you got to treat the movers right. And I was like, I had this anxiety when people were bringing in my refrigerator because it was just a, it was like a problem for them.

They had to get it up like four steps. They had to get it through and shimmy around the island and shit like that. And I remember I threw him an extra hundred bucks and I thought maybe that like wasn't even enough. And then like thinking back, I'm like, I don't even know if that was enough. Because it was such a hard game. You don't know the tipping game of movers. Because like they're just lifting this shit up. They had the things around their neck, their, their waist.

Those straps. I'll say though, it's funny where you like nickel and dime in the world and like your life. Like I buy this house. However much money it is, you're spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on this thing, right? and then you like cheap out on when you get the mattress you don't pay the extra like a hundred bucks to have them just bring it upstairs you like no we'll just carry it up there and then you have your buddy like i had my buddy come over and we just tried to get this king size mattress up the stairs nightmare or you're like the fucking paint off the walls screaming at each other i'm like what why did we choose this to skimp out on why you're like uh guac is 250 I'm out. Why is this the thing that I didn't spend the money on?

It's literally the worst thing I've ever had to do. I got a question for Riggs. We moved a while ago. We had a storage unit. Do we still have that storage? Still have it. Really?

Oh, yeah. We haven't talked about this since we moved out. And I was like, what's in there? I have a bunch of stuff. I don't know if you do. Probably just have a bunch of crap.

Yeah. I'd probably do something about that. I would say we pay 300 bucks a month or something. Probably each pay $150 bucks. I owe Riggs a $0. check on that. It's just like... Yeah, we'll have to square up on that. That was, uh, so what happened?

That was when... In the moving conversation, I just looked at him and go, you know what? Probably two years ago? Oh, yeah, we moved down to the city. Took a you all, literally on like a sweaty hot day, just through everything in there. What is everything? TV's on top of mattresses. Oh, you want to throw a hockey bag, a goalie stick.

You just don't need that stuff? No, we were at the time... It was COVID. So we weren't... This was mid-2020. This was out there. And we're talking about better help real quick, but this mid-2020, COVID. it. Our lease ended in the middle of New York.

Everybody had vacated New York. And I was on the road with Barstow Classic at the time. So we were like, we're not going to renew our lease. No one's in Manhattan. It's a fucking ghost town. Like, what are we going to do? We were like, why don't we get a cheap storage unit in, like, New Jersey? Throw our shit in there for a few months and we'll figure it out. Well, it's been two years. Right.

I looked right at him and I was like, do we even still have that thing? Or do you move to Scottsdale and just like not renew? And then my stuff's call. I don't even know. No, no, I renewed. What happens once a month, I can see the thing coming. in on my uh my amex like i get a noti and i always think like um still doing i can't handle that right now i'm just like what is like what am i going to fly to new jersey go to a rent a car

go to a no i'm just like i'm like yeah i'm like yeah 350 bucks sure whatever you just got to hire someone in new jersey to have a garage sale for your storage unit yeah that's right what just for them to go to that and bring it to their respective places you know what i mean well that's actually what they did for my apartment they went in there the guy facetied me and went Through that whole storage unit was like, is this yours? And I was like, it was all grainy, you know, and shitty service. I was like, kind of looks like mine. And then a bunch of shit showed up in Scotia, like two weeks later.

And I'm sure some of the stuff is come out of whatever. Long story short, thank you to all the movies. Thank you. You guys are great. You guys are really, you guys are heroes. threw him off for the whole week. So JT. was it Saturday? Was yesterday? J.T. yesterday, yeah. He was like right around even or maybe one over, two over, going to the weekend, which, I mean, five under or six hundred up winning the whole golf tournament. Yeah. Yeah.

So if he comes out and shoots three or four under, he's right in the mix going in today, you never know. And he's only on the fourth hole. Roast one down the middle. He gets up there, and his ball is a couple inches on the right side of a drain, clearly on a downslope that has been formed because of the drain's existence and then his feet are on the other side. So it's just a weird lie. He doesn't take relief, chunks it into a bunker makes boge. Doesn't get relief.

Doesn't take relief. Now, he didn't even call over a rules official. And what he said after was, I didn't even need to ask. I went up. I knew that my swing nor my stance were affected by the drain directly. So I wasn't, my club wasn't going to hit the drain. My feet were hitting the drain. Nothing was hitting the drain.

So yeah, it's a shitty lie. But, like, I couldn't, in my own mind, justify, like, lying and saying that I'm... And so he's like, so I had to hit it. And, yeah, I was upset because it was a bad break because I had a horrible lie. But, like, the only other option would be to basically cheat. Like, I knew I would be cheating. He said something along those lines. Because I saw one quote that he said, like, many other players would justify that, like, their feet or something was in the way.

Totally. And he said they would lie. Right. Basically, he said others would lie. He said they would have. Now, I would say we wouldn't have lied. We would have just thought that's the rule. Yeah, but that's buddy's rule.

I'm just like, dude, totally don't have to hit. Yeah, like whatever. Yeah, just move it four feet. Take a fucking, whatever you're in the fairway. You hit a great shot in the fairway. He should have lied. Yeah, I mean, he's, and I don't know that like lying is. No, but I think it's like a lot.

That's like part of the game. It's like, I don't know. Lying is too strong. Yeah. It's too strong of words. Like, it's clearly the drain existing is affecting your shot. And affecting the fairway. Like the natural like kind of role of the fairway, that drain is affected.

So I would tell you get relief from that. In my opinion, my guy, I'm not fucking. slugger white over here, but I think that's, my opinion would be like, yeah, of course you get really. Right. I appreciate him being like, no, I'm going to play this way because I think this is the right thing to do. But also, I'm not sure it was the right thing to do. There's just a drain under there.

The drain doesn't stop from where you see it. That's what I was like, is it a metal right under there? Yeah, do you hit the metal? I don't know. But even if it's not that way, but what you're saying, the grass around it is different. Right. Like, say in a different world, they put that drain like 50 feet somewhere else. That grass looks different.

It's flatter. it's probably more pure like it's just around that drain it's not the right grass 100% it's just yeah I so there's too many weird things going on in fairways of pGA tour events where it's just like you roll like scotie shephler first hole stripes one right down the middle rolls right into a divot amazing in the year 22 we're still let making these guys hit balls out of divvets especially on Sunday because they just pepper fairways I know but yeah it's crazy but think about like think about practice days think about all four days you're playing there's just divots everywhere you have to be able to let these guys roll these things Dude, and on that 14th hole, no, eighth hole, eighth hole that part five with everybody's where Scotty hit one today that rolled all the way back down to his feet.

They and the practice rounds had that whole area blocked off because they didn't want everybody to take divvets and then balls still roll into divets. I agree. I think that gets a little ridiculous. Now, the issue that I've had or that I've heard people say is that what's the actual solution is the problem that gets into. Right. What is like what is a divot and what's a ballmark? What's the distance? If you take like a scorecard distance,

well, then you might go from a downhill eye to an uphill eye, which is way easier and that. So it gets a little tricky. But it does seem ridiculous. I just bitch about it with no solution every time. Yeah. Just come up with a solution, whether it's like two rotations regard.

Like, oh yeah, just come up with a number. Like they have to be able to figure out what, what's the width of a divot? They have to have that like standard number, whatever, how many inches that is. And this is the world that I'm living in, playing my golf and making all my money.

And whatever else is going on, that's not really my problem from, you know, whether it's you hate the American government or the Saudi government. You know, like, and I think a lot of people can see being like, yeah, at some level, you're just a golfer and you're making a lot more money. I think a lot of people can see that. Yeah. I have actually thought, Dan Rapport brought off some interesting points, like, outside. of that where it's going to start fucking with the tour and like the developmental part of it where it's like the corn free tour and like it's going to become so top heavy that you start bleeding out the younger like streams of talent and like that becomes like if you're a fan

of golf and you're a fan of the PJ tour and of all these events like I get like the that's a very controversial side of it where the money's coming from but if you like golf you're going to start to see if all these stars go it's just going to bleed out and then There's going to be 48 guys making $200 million, and then that's going to be it. And there's not going to be any, I mean, the corn fairy is going to go away. All this stuff's going to go away. And then it's like, what was this all for again? Oh, so the guys who were already making a ton of money could make even more money.

Right. So it's like, on that side of it, it's like, that's fuck too. That sucks. That sucks. From like a net golf perspective, that sucks. It's an L. It's a loss. I agree.
