Now let's talk some golf.
It's the second show of the week coming off, of course, a great interview with Zach Sucker, who is the man.
Really good dude.
He's been also promoting the hell out of him.
Just tweeting up a storm.
It's been great.
I like to see that.
MSN.
So it was, I believe, golf week, and then MSN picked up a couple things he had to say about the credit cards and the, you know, leveraging everything financially that he could to continue his golf career.
So a very, very good interview, a lot different, you know, it got a little, I don't want to say too emotional, but it was a very serious thing about family and finances and all that good stuff.
And then ultimately culminating him taking down $600 and whatever it was, $33,000 last Sunday.
So a very, very good interview.
If you missed that one, I'm going to remind folks to go on to iTunes and please leave a review and rate us five stars.
I have noticed there are some haters out there who went in and wrote hateful messages and put one star.
I think that happened about a year ago.
So our five-star rating is down to four and a half stars.
That is unacceptable.
That is unacceptable.
All of you patrons out there listening, just take a minute, go on to iTunes, look at Fordplay,
and then just go ahead and click five stars, write something nice about us
so that we feel good about ourselves and that we bounce back up to the top.
Thank you very much for that.
You can also play golf with us.
This is open.
This is available until Friday at noon 30, Eastern Standard Time.
Actually, it's Daylight Savings.
I don't think it's called Eastern Standard Time.
I think it's called maybe EDT, Eastern Daylight Time.
What?
Isn't that crazy?
Somebody told me.
That changes?
If you are in a place that does daylight savings,
When you are in that daylight savings period, it is not called blank standard time.
It is called blank something else.
Frankie looks like he just saw it goes.
Frank hasn't.
His face hasn't moved.
I can't believe that.
Someone told me that.
I don't, and it was a trusted source.
I don't know how maybe they're wrong, but I heard that and I was floored by that.
What are you talking about right now?
That's right.
I'm telling you.
Yeah, because, you know, you do see E-S-T and E-D-T, and I just thought they were interchangeable.
Same.
I just thought it didn't matter.
It was just like, yeah, whatever preference.
Tomato, tomato.
What'd you think the D standing for?
Daylight time.
I mean, I just gave you that one.
You didn't think that.
You know why.
Yeah.
So that's kind of a little nugget of information.
You're welcome, everyone.
30 years old, just learned something new.
Love that.
Learn something new every day.
To play golf with us.
Ends at 1230 Eastern current time on.
I don't understand how this all works.
Is there a place in the country that doesn't do this?
Arizona.
Arizona.
So what time is it in Arizona?
It's always standard time in Arizona.
What does that mean?
That shit never changes.
They did it the right way.
They were like, we're not doing this crazy stuff that is from the past that we did for.
So we moved up an hour ahead, right?
I don't know.
Well, yeah, we just flex an hour.
And they just don't.
Fall back, spring forward.
So whatever their time zone is, we actually become closer to them because when we do this or we come further away.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So the day that we swim.
I'm just saying.
My brain cannot.
My brain can't.
My brain can't understand the day.
that we switch those clocks back, what happens
with Arizona? They go from two to three hours, I think.
Like, when we spring forward,
they go from two hours behind us to three hours behind us.
That's nuts. And then they get back to two
like six months later, wherever it is.
Something has to get fucked up in Arizona, like, with their, like,
if you're like an Excel guy and like,
and you're working on a business that you sit at a desk and you hate your job,
that time where like everyone changes times and you don't,
there's a business out there that hates the fact that Arizona doesn't just do everything else.
Think about this.
There's a town out there that's probably,
like split or or their buddies that live five minutes away, they just are an hour different
half of the year.
True.
You go across the state line.
It could be just a foot.
It changes a whole hour.
Changes its whole fucking hour.
Like, man, it's nuts.
Wonder how accurate the cell phone is.
You know how it just changes automatically?
Yeah.
Like as soon as you cross state lines, it just goes.
Four o'clock.
Just flip-flip, flip-plop.
Just going back and forth.
Dude, imagine you go into the desert in Arizona.
And some of these guys get, like, baked out on crazy drugs.
And you just, like, walk a person across state lines.
the middle of the desert and like we just time traveled
and they're like what the fuck bro
i like that arizona does that i think we should
all we should all follow suit because it's confusing
every other way i can tell you're pretty anti-daylight savings time
it's just why like i don't i don't know well the answer it's like energy
you have to have lights on less hours
in the in the evening so in the morning everybody's asleep so people don't use lights
so what they do is they give you more daylight in the evening
it stays lighter longer so that people don't have to use lights therefore we as a
society don't have to use as much energy.
That can't possibly be the reason.
I didn't know that as the reason.
I just thought like more light, during, why you're awake.
I thought it was an old, I honestly don't know what the reason is.
That's a good reason is about the farmers.
That's what I thought it was.
I thought there had something to do with farmers.
I heard that a long time ago.
You were, it was that, your reasoning was that general, just something to do with
that's the Iowa.
Yeah, that's the Iowa.
Just sit on the porch.
Well, you know, we got to push these clocks back because of the, the farmers.
Weather's about to come through.
Look, the farmers want there to be another out.
Try, get yourself clothes on.
The farmers need an hour.
I'll tell you what, soft clothes is burning up the Internet, and it's burning up the country.
People love the term soft clothes.
I had a bunch of people reach out to me after I told the story about how my parents,
every time they, at night or once they get done eating a big meal, they go, well, it's time to put on my soft clothes.
People love it, and people are calling it soft clothes.
So whether, whatever the explanation is.
People are mocking it is what they're doing.
Well, that's what we do with you and your nicknames, by the way.
I'm aware of that.
I don't know that you're aware of it.
No, people like soft clothes.
Yeah, so you think people like.
I'll tell you what, I don't hate the term.
I got stuck some of my God, you like this?
Soft terms is better than like PJs.
I want to put on my soft clothes.
Disagree.
I say jammies.
Yeah, jammies are nice.
I like jammies way more than soft clothes.
I said that like the other day.
I'm going to slip into my jammies.
It was like a Saturday night.
Softball.
I'm like, I'm going to slip into my jammies right now.
I think by the end of the show, we got to figure out why daylight savings time.
Daylight savings time is a thing.
But also shout out to soft clothes.
One of us is right or we're both wrong.
I don't know.
Where this all begins.
again is the bidding to play golf with us.
And Friday, this Friday, I believe that date will be, what, June 28th?
June, uh, yep, is that correct?
Friday?
No, no, no, June.
What's the date?
It's the 26th today.
Yeah.
So Friday would be the 28th.
Wow, I nailed it.
June 28th.
So tomorrow at 12th.
Right, because it's coming out then.
Wow.
We're recording the day before.
Franky.
Yeah, you're getting it down.
Let me say this.
You can play golf with us.
You can bid.
If you're the highest bidder, you play golf with the entire.
our four play crew, the foursome, you and three buddies.
Eight of us total, two foursomes.
I have a couple of us in each.
Maybe we'll switch at the nine, so you get to play with everybody.
We're going to play at a really awesome course near you.
The bidding is currently $4,700.
So we're trying to raise money for social teas, which they do phenomenal work,
placing dogs, animals into great, with great owners and families and all of that.
They do great, great, great, great work.
So we are raising money for them.
It's an awesome cause, and it's going to be a fun time.
You get to play golf with us.
We have links all over the place.
We're on eBay.
That's how you do it.
You kind of go on eBay.
You find us.
It can be the highest bidder of your highest bidder, which ends on Friday at 28th at 1230 Eastern Daylight Time.
That's when it ends.
Then you get to play golf with us.
Next week, next week we are going to be doing behind the greens.
Behind the Greens back.
We'll be doing a military edition.
It's obviously July 4th, Independence.
We love our armed forces, men and women, have done it.
an unbelievable job protecting us, serving, serving their country.
And therefore, we are going to give them a platform to tell stories about golfing on military bases,
golfing overseas, golfing in their gear, whatever the hell it is that's related to golf in the military,
the United States military.
We're going to hear about it.
So behind the greens will be back next week.
And then we're also doing a best up.
We went through, Jake, Will, they've gone through and grabbed a bunch of the best moments from our interviews.
We've had so many awesome interviews this year.
It's kind of crazy to think of.
about them and remember all of them from Brooks Kefka to Bubba Watson and Ted Scott. Justin Thomas
was our first interview. Kevin Chappell. Kiz has been on a few times and had some iconic comments
that he's made this year on this very show. Just a bunch of them. I'm sure I'm forgetting a good,
strong handful. So we're going to have a best-of show next week. Lurch of myself and a couple of our
other buddies are going to Wisconsin. We talked about that last show a little bit. A lot of people
excited that we're coming to Wisconsin. You know, we get that a lot, right? Come to Michigan.
You're going to come to Wisconsin.
You've got to come to Seattle, which we did that.
But people want us to come check out.
There's really good golf everywhere.
We're going to Wisconsin.
We're playing Aaron Hills.
We have added it now.
There's a lot of hate.
A lot of hater aid being spilled all over us about skipping Aaron Hills.
Aaron Hills reached out to us.
We communicated with them.
We're going to be at Aaron Hills.
We're going to be at Lasonia Links.
We're going to be at Sand Valley.
We're going to be at Whistling Straits.
It's going to be really cool.
We're going to tell you all about it.
Speaking of telling you all about golf and whatnot, great horse.
Lurch, I talked all about great horse last time.
Yep.
Sorry to miss that one.
quarter end for the sales group over there so it's a little busy these days well you're a real person with a real job was unbelievable man it was good wasn't it god that club is terrific good chance we do the whitney match there uh as i mentioned so folks if you haven't looked at great horse you're not aware you can go look at my instagram or twitter or for play we've put up a bunch of pictures we're going to have a rigsverse video from there which we played this bar three with one one club in our bat in our hands i used a pitching wedge lurch would you use a gap wedge i used a
Yep.
Gap Wedge, and we just played with our caddy, our boy.
So we got a video coming out from there as well.
But anyways, great horse.
If you don't know anything about it, go look it up.
Now, I usually put this on the outline and I just never get to it,
but I put on there Lurch's thoughts and everything.
And the reason that I put that on there is because we've gone weeks without Lurch being on the show
because, you know, we're out of pebble, we're out of PGA and all that.
You just had to watch from afar.
You're still on the group text, which is really a very kind of a bummer for you.
Because we just.
That's tough sometimes.
Yeah, we send these pictures and like somebody will just put a video on there of us talking to Tiger.
And Lurch is just like, ha, ha, amazing.
Yeah, it's like, how many positive reinforcement though?
It always feels good about it.
I mean, well, it's sick.
I'm just sitting over there on the sideline like in my desk just waiting for a call in 30 minutes with some prospect or something like that.
And then I see you boys are like in the most beautiful backyard I've ever seen at Pable Beach, ripping golf balls, chipping.
Kisner's giving you lessons, doing everything in your mother.
And then talking to Tiger Woods.
and he just kind of knows who you guys are
as you like parade around the U.S. Open,
wildly jealous of the whole thing.
But the group text is amazing.
It's also because it's already,
it's like a group text,
so it's pre-released to the public.
So I'm just sitting there like,
man, this is so cool.
And I just watch it three times or something like that.
I will say we've been on one hell of a run.
It's been insane.
That group text has been pretty wild
if you're not involved in it, right?
Like I guess if you were in that group text
half a year ago,
it's like, yo, what time we recorded the pod?
Like all this stuff.
Now every single message is something outrageous.
Yes.
What goes across is incredible.
Last night we dressed up as Tiger Woods and went to an award show.
Yeah, we won a Dunkin' Go to last night.
We won.
We won.
Meet Your Heroes.
Yep. Meet Your Heroes Award.
I'll tell you to highlight to this.
You guys are out at Pebble having what looks to be just a grand old time.
I'm not at Pebble, obviously.
Even though if you check out my Instagram, I did superimpose myself that looked like I was actually right there.
Also, geotag me right there.
So pretty confusing.
I understand if you thought.
No, I did see that.
That was a good move.
Yep.
So the only person that recognized me was actually this lovely guy.
So I'm out at Ashbrook playing Jersey course with a couple buddies.
And, you know, I've got a baritone of a voice.
We're having a fun little match.
Just three of us out there, good track.
I see on the group text that you guys are friends with Tiger Woods.
And so I'm like, that's amazing.
So I think we're on the third or fourth hole.
I think assistant heads of grounds crew comes over and he, like, just drives by.
And I might have made a comment to my buddy like, oh, you know, nice hole or whatever.
drives by kind of looks at us, pulls back around, pulls up to us and goes, are you, or,
have you ever been on a podcast before?
And I go, yeah, I've been on a podcast.
And he goes, are you lurched by any chance?
And I was like, yeah, that's me.
And he's like, I would recognize that voice from anywhere.
Now, I'm going to stop you right there.
Am I living in another universe there?
Has he told that story three times on this podcast?
Not on the show.
Not on the show.
I just told you once when we left it.
And then we're going to add it on here.
So thanks for ruining the podcast.
You said it last.
When we left, when we was leaving the room, because like, this was the joke.
No, you said it in the mic.
No, no, no, no, no.
I was looking at you saying, you're telling me no, Jake?
No, Jake.
It's a third time I've heard that story.
Frankie, maybe you dream with me?
I feel like I'm living in another fucking universe.
You're just an idiot.
I could have finished that, I could have finished that story.
Yes, you could have because you've heard it before.
There's difference between on the record.
I'm, so, we were sitting here with the headphones out.
Riggs's first comment was, it's kind of funny because I put this on the outline every time,
but we actually never get to it.
So then when I'm leaving last time, I told you about this dumb story.
And you're just dumb enough to not only not pick up on the rigs outline, but continue to talk about it.
I swear to God, I was going to cut you off and just finish the story because I'm like, you have a like a memory problem because you said this.
You said this.
I looked at you.
Did you know what I gave Trent?
I'm like, this fucking guy is doing something right now.
Like we're in the middle of a moment.
Now knowing that you're wrong and you just accused me of potentially having a memory problem, do you?
I think I do.
Okay.
Dude, that's the scariest thing.
So anyways, fun times for me, but not Tiger Wood.
Were you expecting me and Rick got, oh, my God.
Yes.
Dude, I tapped right on the shoulder.
I saw you look at me like, what's going on?
And I was like, why is he looking to be that way?
So a couple things.
One, I like that he didn't even recognize you physically.
It was just your voice.
Yes.
Which for anybody doesn't know, I think I might have said this before in the podcast.
We'll have to check with Frankie.
But in our old apartment, we lived in a gigantic apartment building with a million
different people like it was a dormitory.
And people would tell us all time that when they got it.
off the elevator and our apartment was the last apartment so you had to like go down make a right
and then like make another left when they got off the elevator they could hear lurch inside of our
apartment just talking normally so your voice carries so that guy was driving around and it got probably a loud
cart like what fucking i know that voice from somewhere good guy and then the other thing was i do put
that on the outline every time and then at the end of last show lurch chimed in and said yeah i thought
you're going to team me up for my little story and then he delivered the story and that's kind of
and then frankie even said yeah when you put something on the
outline it feels like a tee up do you remember these conversations or no yeah I remember
and then we missed it and then I told the story because we had a little debate where I was like
well you should have just said it and you're like what thought you're going to tee me up so all that
wasn't in the show last week no we talked into the mics while we did that yeah we were sitting right
here no I was by the doorway actually bullshit bullshit I mean how can anyone take sure you was sitting right there
you were sitting right there with their headphone on into the mic go to the video I mean we'll go to the video
you said that into the mic and I'm supposed to know that that wasn't put in the show let's go to the
next the last time you touched my arm like that we thought
we were getting bombed out of pedal beach.
I talked about that this weekend, actually.
Oh, that was the flyover?
That was the flyover.
When you hear a flyover come over and you don't know a flyover's coming, that initial noise is the
most horrifying thing of all time.
And you're inside, like, you have no idea what's going on.
I was eating an ice cream sandwich.
You just hear that loud, what the fuck?
On the reverse, I was amazed.
This was last year.
A helicopter, I was playing tennis.
A helicopter was, I guess, flying towards us, had no idea.
Didn't hear a thing until it was a real.
until it was right over us.
And I was amazed in reverse
at how, like, stealth that is.
Literally heard nothing until it was on top of us
and then past us.
It was super loud.
But coming at us heard not a thing, not a piece.
Absolutely amazing.
So still.
What?
Yeah, it was sick.
That's incredible.
And once you hear it, it's over.
Yeah, then you're like, holy shit.
Like, they could put anything to me.
Someone was messaging me, like, I guess,
responding one of these trolls on Twitter,
and they're like, because I said,
I thought my life had ended.
when I heard the noise.
And they're like, buddy, if that was actually an attack,
your life would have been over before you heard it.
Okay, dude.
It's like, all right, yeah.
Yeah, he was.
Sorry, I know you know what it's like.
Right, right.
Like, relax.
All right, I'm in here eating an ice cream fan.
You wouldn't have known.
You wouldn't have been dead before you heard it.
Like, okay, dude.
I believe the guy's name was Mike, maybe.
It was like Mike and his, I don't know.
Come on, Mike.
Whatever.
What the fuck out of here, Mike.
Another thing coming up, I'll be playing, we'll be playing a little bit of golf in Chicago this weekend as well.
I'm doing a site visit to Harborside, which is the site of the Barstool Classic in August.
And then also the Skokie Challenge, which I've talked about before in this podcast.
But a big weekend for myself and my brother and a couple of my friends, we will be at Skokie Country Club in Chicago.
So if anybody's out there, hope to see you out there.
And then Monday, Tuesday, we just found out our office is closed.
So I'm just staying in Chicago and you're going to try to play some golf in Chicago.
So that kind of happened out of nowhere.
I don't know.
How did we not know that until just yesterday?
An email went out a while ago and they were like,
the office is going to be closed Wednesday,
Friday and that's the only thing I had in my head.
And then a couple days ago,
somebody's like,
it's also closed Monday Tuesday.
And then,
okay.
So everyone out there listening,
this show has never made you be like,
fuck you guys,
because I have to live this Cube life and you guys get to do what you do.
We're going to add to that and let you know that after like Thursday or Friday this week,
we're just off for like 10 days and going to be playing golf all across Wisconsin.
So it's a good time to be alive.
Whether you are an athlete, weekend warrior, or someone who deals with constant joint pain, back pain, muscle, soreness, or arthritis, finding a natural remedy that instantly works might seem non-existent.
Most over-the-counter pain relievers, such as icy hot and menge, only focus on one basic cooling effects, such as menthol, which temporarily takes your mind off the pain until that pain returns in an hour or so.
Well, we've got a great solution.
OMAX cryo-freeze.
If you are looking to get rid of the nagging muscle and joint pain immediately while providing long-lasting recovery,
you need to try the natural breakthrough pain relief solution.
Cryofree, CBD developed by OMAX Health, this non-prescription triple action.
That's a lot of action.
Wow.
Triple action.
Pain relief roll on is specifically formulated to block pain receptors,
reduce inflammation, and improve muscle and joint flexibility.

And relief lasts up to eight hours much longer than the over-the-counter products.
We know about this stuff because we use it.
It works.
All of us listening right now, all of you listening right now are golfers.
You like to play golf.
You can't really play the way you need to play if you are in pain, if you've got tightness,
soreness.
Your fingers, your wrists, you're playing 36 holes a day.
You know how bad my fingers hurt after golfing that much?
I can't grip a club.
What helps you with that, Frankie?
OMAX.
Trio free.
That's what I'm talking about.
You know what you said during this read that I, that blew my mind?
Are these other things?
And you said all they do is take your mind off the pain.
Is that what like pain relievers do?
Like they're just tricking your mind.
Are you kidding me?
That's what it sounds like spun out of this room.
Like, bo-oh.
They don't take the actual pain away.
It's like spraying for breeze on the smell.
Are you doing safe?
Just masks it.
It doesn't actually make it go away.
So if I have a boo-boo on my knee and I take a, and I take a freaking pain reliever.
Yeah.
It's just telling them.
my mind your knee doesn't hurt.
It still hurts.
Right.
Dude, that's nuts, man.
How gullible is your mind?
Bro, that's nuts.
Just so tricked.
That's scary.

From the gallery, 4Play at barstoolsports.com.
We got a bunch on here.
I thought it would be a nice, nice opportunity to run through a bunch of these that you folks have submitted.
We got some good ones, and it's going to be a good time,
and you can add more by emailing us at 4Play at barstoolsports.com.
Let's start with Greg.
Greg says you got one shot on the 17th at TBC Sawgrass.
You hit the green, you get $1 million.
If you miss, you can't play golf for five years.
Do you take the shot?
No chance.
Take your million and shove it up your asshole.
No way.
No chance.
Just no way.
Imagine how much trouble you'd be if you shoved a million dollars up your ass?
That'd be so much cash, man.
That would kill a person.
I think you'd be dead.
What's the least amount of bills that you could use to shove a million dollars?
I think you get $35 up someone's ass and they start to have internal problems.
But I'm thinking, like, what's the highest bill?
Is there like a $1,000 bill?
Oh, you're saying what?
Like, what's the minimum, a million?
What's the minimum number of bills?
I would say 10,000 bills.
10,000 times 100?
What's the highest bill?
Is that what you're asking?
It's impossible.
You'd be dead.
10,000 bills, right?
You have to roll them up like little balls and shoot up.
That's why I'm asking if 100 is the highest bill.
I don't know.
I think there are like, I think there are a few that go like a thousand.
I don't think any of those are in currency anymore.
I think you'd have to get 10,000 bills up Frankie's ass.
says the $100 bills the highest one.
So you'd be dead.
Or roll them up into little balls like you're shoving things into jail.
Like like little like.
Dude, you can't get 10,000 rolled up bills in your ass.
You could get like.
The answer's no.
You'd die.
You would die.
But how much?
What's the highest amount?
Before you just, your body explodes?
What's the highest amount of money you can fit in your ass before you die?
We're using $100 bills.
I think it's, I think it's $1,400.
Yeah.
14 bills?
14 bills.
Yeah.
You're telling me 14 bills.
You could definitely get 14 bills in your ass.
Really?
Yes.
I don't know, man.
People just shove them.
Yeah.
I mean, you could definitely get them in there.
But like...
What's your number?
This, I mean, I'm way different than you.
I'm thinking...
This is very off topic.
I mean, yeah, we're not going to talk about it, but maybe it's...
20 bills?
50 bills?
50 bills?
I take the under.
Man, you'd be so dead?
I'm telling before I die.
Like, I'm yes, I'm wildly uncomfortable.
Like, nobody's enjoying.
this.
But I think once you get to like 25 or so, your body starts to shut down,
you're trying to, not another one.
No more Ben Frank, no more.
Oh, man.
That's a weird little topic.
The main, no way I'm doing this because, I mean, one million dollars, you spread that out
over five years and how much happiness and satisfaction and enjoyment I get out of playing
golf.
It's a no-brainer.
Now, you make that 10 million or something like that.
Yeah.
The number gets higher.
Then you have to try.
At 10?
Yeah, like I probably have a what?
Four out of ten chance to hit it maybe, three out of ten chance.
So you got to take a 40% chance to win $10 million.
It'd be devastating.
If you just had a wedge in your hand,
you just shank it.
It was never even fun or close.
What's good is 132.
I think I could take a pitching wedge and take a full swing.
And like hopefully there's a little win.
It just perfectly sits right on it.
Like a 132 shot may be a perfect pitching wedge swing.
Yeah, I think like a nice and aggressive.
The pins in the middle of the green, I think I can just take a nice aggressive pitching wedge swing.
And even if it's a little short or a little deep, I think with that spin, it stays on the green.
Well, the pin shouldn't matter.
No, but like it always does.
It always factors into your head.
Well, I guess you had to think about what the number was he just giving.
Yeah, center green.
Yeah, that's what I'm just thinking.
I mean, pin or no pin, I'm going right at the middle.
Yeah, I'm just thinking patch of grass.
I'm aiming for a patch of grass.
You're trying to get that little, miss small, boys.
A little walking path out to it.
Yeah.
Aim small, miss small.
If you're just aiming for the green,
That's tough.
You've got to aim small, miss small.
I need a flag in there.
I need that flag in the middle of the green.
I think that helps.
But no, it's got to be a way, way higher number, in my opinion.
So not even close.
I think if you take this, you're a moron.
Unless maybe you're, well, even if you're a PGA tour player,
it doesn't make any sense because that opportunity cost that you would have if you miss.
You can't play off for five years.
You're losing millions and millions of dollars.
So I don't think it almost makes sense for anybody.
Ben says, what is more satisfying?
Striping a drive down the middle of the fairway or making.
a 12-foot putt. I'm going to go first on this. I would say that for me, there is no more
satisfying feeling in the world of golf than hauling a putt, even like, no matter how close it is.
I guess I would say like any put that you have to mark and actually like set up for and try
to make and then you make it, I think that's the most satisfying feeling in the world of golf.
Yeah, I mean, I agree. The only stipulation I would say on this is if it's for like triple
bogey or something like that and you're out of the match or out of the hole and you just
roll it in, I'd probably go with the drive.
But if you're making a 12-foot par putter, we've got a match, and both of us are,
I'm at 12, and you're at 7 feet, and I make that.
That's just the most satisfying thing in the world.
So stipulation there, I would say the 12-footers a little bit better,
but if it is for like triple or a quad or something like that,
I'm going with a rip drive of 282.
Yeah, I think for me it's depending on like the match,
if I'm hitting a 12-foot putt to win a match, it's obviously the better feeling.
But if I'm stepping on the first tee and I stripe one right down the middle.
Hashtack Beth Page.
There is quite literally nothing.
That feels better because like on Beth Page, I hit one off of the hospitality tent, pulled it way right.
Everyone laughed at me.
I made a par and I still didn't feel good.
So like if I, I mean, I felt okay.
I felt pretty decent, not as good as what Trent felt like on the first two-way striped one.
You felt so bad about your T-Shed that you were for the rest of the day telling every group behind us to tell every group behind them that you made.
Correct.
So at that point, like I would have taken a bogey or even a double had I just absolutely blasted one into like oblivion and had a whole crowd going nuts behind us.
Yeah.
Yeah, as I say, if anybody's watching
the video of my drive at Beth Page,
my answer is very much Stripe a Drive right down the middle.
I'm still chasing that high.
I'll be chasing that high for the rest of my life.
And, yeah, I mean, puts are great,
but boy, boy is hitting a nice drive.
It doesn't get any better than that.
I will say a first tee when you've got some people there
that are making you nervous, right?
And that, for us, like, when you are a,
in the golf world, people sort of know who you are,
it changes every first tee shot you ever hit.
100%.
Or really every tee shot,
because whether it's like the maintenance,
guy that rolls up and it's like oh like four play boys what's up and then like stops to watch you
hit that guy will then tell many many people in his golf circle like oh i saw the four play guys
i watched from t off on 12 the bet page this guy went there that guy went there this that and you that's
always because we're all just pretty bad amateur golfers like that's always in your head every time
you're hitting even if those people don't know who you are like if everybody out there listening
knows if there's like a backup at the tea and the two cards behind you pull up while you're
on the tea you're infinitely more nervous even if you're on the 16th hole of the day
than you were on any other shot
because now you've got twice many people watching
you don't know those people, it sucks.
So for us, magnifying that by like,
I know this motherfucker's watching,
I know he knows,
I know he's going to tell people
those are the golf podcast guys.
So my main point here is that
that is a factor on the first T shot.
It's very, very satisfying
when you know people are watching
and you get to hit and you hit a good one.
But overall, I just think like
when that ball falls in the cup,
it's such a final conclusion.
It's like, all right, we succeeded.
Yeah, but also people aren't.
expecting you to make a 12-foot put.
People are almost expecting you to drill one down the middle.
Like, and if you don't, it's even more embarrassing.
I don't know if I fully agree with that.
Not like, yeah.
Yeah, but if I hit one way right, it's like, ooh.
But if I miss a 12-foot putt and just tap in, it's like, all right, I wasn't going
to make that.
True.
It's a good point.
Yeah.
Depending on how you miss that 12-foot putt.
Like, if you leave it seven feet short, people might be like, right, disguised,
incompetent, unathletical.
I will say that feeling I had a bet.
But you're playing out of Dara.
I mean, I hit a couple puts at some of these unbelievable golf courses we played.
and I had 12 feet and ended up with 28.
I mean, these greens are just like outrageous.
Man, last year at Oakmont, Lurch and I drove fucking seven hours out there.
Nice trip.
We drive out on Friday.
We go to the Pirates game.
The guys that were hosting us, great guys, awesome guys.
The guys that are hosting us meet us.
We go to the Pirates game.
We have a great time.
We're all getting drunk.
We start chirping about how hard Oakmont's going to be to the point where I, like, tweeted it out,
like, what's my over-under, this, that.
Everybody's chirp.
Everybody knows we're playing Oakmont.
We get to Oakmont.
We warm up for like an hour.
We got no excuses.
It's a perfect day.
get to the first tee, the fucking assistant pro comes out.
The pro comes out.
The general manager of the club comes out.
Everybody's there.
He's got there.
He's recording with his phone.
Everyone's like, what do you think you're going to shoot over under 85?
That's a first tee shot out of bounds.
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
It was tough.
But I will say, I've had a lot of horrific first tee shots in my day.
And it almost every time I do it, I usually end up playing like pretty damn well the rest of the day because it frees you up.
It frees you up so much.
For you think like, well, nothing can go worse than that.
Yeah.
So we've all had some bad.
Now, you spoke about it.
Great Horse, did you speak about our drive?
Because it reminded me when you just mentioned our drive out to Oakmont,
if you spoke about our drive up to Great Horse and that trip through the rain.
In the rain?
We drove in the fucking pouring rain.
So it was awful.
I've never seen, I've never driven with a man who's in his 30s like this before.
So there's rain.
There's some dark skies.
Rigsie puts on his fucking hazards, puts on his hazards.
Oh, man.
Like to the point we're going like 40 in the right lane.
And he's happy that he's got his hazards on.
seen nothing like.
I've seen nothing like.
No, you're leaving out a massive part of the story, which is that one of my headlights
is out.
So you can't be driving around in pouring rain.
And one of your headlights is out and run the wrist of the guy in front of you, like,
doesn't know that you're there.
And he slams on his brakes or something like that.
To the galley.
What's the negative to putting on my hazards?
Like, it's pouring rain.
There's really no negative.
I've just never seen anything like it.
Yeah.
I would try to be safe.
Yes.
He's very.
Fix your fucking headlight.
Yeah.
In the middle of the pouring rain with no other headlight.
What do you want me to do in that situation?
When have you known that you've had it now, the headlight was out?
A long time.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying?
But in this situation, I can't fix it.
So what do you want me to do?
It is tough when you're driving with someone.
I think you could have had a situation where you could have fixed it.
You wouldn't have found yourself.
But we're already in the situation.
It doesn't matter now.
Yeah.
It is tough to knock anybody when they, when their argument is, well, do we get there safe?
And then you say yes.
And then you're like, oh, shit.
I really have, don't have much else.
But I've never seen someone drive with their hazards on.
And then out of muscle members.
That's also crazy because someone else had the hazards on as well.
In front of you.
Right.
So, like, it's not like, it was so bad that more than one person had their hazards.
Just never seen it before.
Any thought they're just pulling over?
No.
No.
Never.
Okay.
Joe asked how many Cali Daps took place over the span of the U.S.
Soap.
I mean, Frankie's Cali Dap King, so you'd have to ask him.
Probably had about 15 Cali Dabs.
With, like, random people you mean?
With random people?
Yeah.
I think that was about the right number.
A couple people hit him real smooth.
A couple people wanted to force it.
I mean, it got to the point, too, or not as many people were doing it,
and I was going on for regular DAPs.
I didn't go for any Cali DAPs with any of the pro players except for Bryson,
and I forced that one.
You know, and he kind of gave me that look.
I go, what the hell is that?
And he's from CaliDai.
So I think that almost ended the CaliDAP, but I'm still persevering.
I'm still going through.
But, yeah, about 15.
I think the rest of this question was, what's the overrunner for the next major?
I don't know if I'm going to be pursuing an over 15.
You've been humbled.
Unless people, like, reach out the Cali Dap to me,
I don't think I'm going to go out and, you know,
it's also, for the most part,
we're, everybody's moving, right?
So anytime you kind of come in contact with a stoolie or a plaitron or whoever,
it's usually a fist bump or a high five or something.
It's not like a stop, square up, calli-dap, you know,
it just kind of, it takes a little bit more time.
15, I think that's a low number.
People are going to be surprised by that?
Connor said, are you guys four against a standard golf ball for the PGA tour?
I believe what he's getting out here is sort of the distance thing.
And the fact that there's been a huge argument.
a lot of golf Twitter and stuff about what to do for distance in the game.
Do they need to kind of dial the golf ball back?
I think the general rule of thumb on this, I don't know the science or the technology,
but that they can just, and people always talk about it like this,
just decrease it in like percentages.
Like they can just make the ball, a ball that goes 20% less far,
which to me is kind of crazy.
They can just do it that simply.
I don't even know how they do that.
But something like that has, of course, been the talk, maybe dial it back 10 or 15%,
something like that. Therefore, you know, you're not really changing anything.
The swings and all that should still produce the same results relative to each other.
It just makes the ball doesn't go as far so that then a lot of these golf courses don't have to add new T-boxes,
buy up new land. If you add new T-boxes and more land to golf courses, you have to water more of it and it becomes less sustainable,
blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm for it. I'm very much for it. I think it'd be great if they,
if they dialed back the distance. That's just kind of my instinctual thought to it. I haven't, I don't have a ton of
crazy research. I don't get that deep into it because it doesn't like occupy a ton of my thoughts.
I don't think they should do it across the board because bottom line is this affects like 0.1-1% or 0.000
of 1% of people. It's not that big of a deal. And I think that the average golfer, they should be
doing anything and everything they can technologically to make the game easier so that more people will enjoy it.
And so that's kind of where I'm at with it. But I would like to see the PGA Tour pros dial it back a little bit.
I'm with you. I think it's like cork bats or metal bats in baseball.
just keep it the same, keep it consistent.
And then, yeah, these courses don't have to buy it more land.
So I'm in that same boat.
And I'd like to see, like, I think it's more interesting golf,
like a lot of the older, shorter golf courses that they haven't changed a ton since
in the last 100 years or 80 years or whatever.
I think that you could bring back into play if you dial back the distance a little bit.
I would like to see them play bigger tournaments at rather than just some of these courses
that are like tree lined really long with thick rough on left and right.
I just don't think that's the most interesting golf.
I think that's the best way to test guys right now,
and I think you need to have that from time to time.
Fine,
and a lot of those places produce damn good leaderboards,
but I would also like to see a bigger mix and courses use,
and I don't think you can do that unless you dial the golf ball.
That would also bring out a brand new golf hardo into the world.
You know, your average Sunday guy.
The Sunday guy comes out in his full fucking PGA tour outfit.
He's got his huge staff bag,
and he pulls out this pro box of balls.
And we're like, what the fuck is that?
What is that, Ryan?
He's like, oh, these are the pro balls.
They go 20% less.
Oh, fuck yourself, man.
Like, you hit the ball so far.
You're dialing it back today for us.
Thanks so much for that.
Goes out and shoots in 96.
It's like, yeah, but it was a pro ball.
I'm against it.
You just turned me right against the pro balls.
I was with you guys.
And he called it a pro ball, which would be.
Well, for the pros.
The amateurs, we still are in for the pro v.
One.
Right.
You're against no pro balls for the amateur.
If you have that, you get arrested.
Yes.
Yeah.
I think that's fair.
I think that should be, that's the route that we should go down.
Oh, man.
Let's draw part of.
We're doing these like what if situations,
and we're talking about the cops just being on the outside of the green
with like a metal stick.
If they find you with a pro ball, they just come out
and they just beat the piss out of the metal stick.
Yeah, I think that's fair.
I think that's fair.
I think that's maybe exactly what we should do.
Summertime, it's going to be sunny out quite often,
and what do you need?
You need shades.
You've got to have good shades out there now.
We've been rocking the shady rays.
People have been asking quite a bit because we're doing a lot of camera.
We're doing a lot of video content lately, whether we're from Beth Page Black or whether we're out of Pebble Beach, whether we're playing golf.
It's sunny out there.
We got these shady rays.
Not only do they look great.
They look awesome.
They're doing the buy one, get one free situation for you all, which we will tell you how to get that.
But they've also got the air polarized.
Polarized, I mean, it's when you put these things on, a lot of times you worry.
Like if it gets later in the day, if there's a couple clouds that rolling, am I going to be able to see?
isn't going to be too dark with sunglasses on.
When they're polarized, they basically brighten everything up.
It's amazing how much better everything looks.
Shady rays, they look great.
They're stylish, shady rays.
They're an independent sunglass company.
They're not just some big corporation that overcharges four shades.
When we were in Pebble Beach, there was a rainbow cloud in the sky.
And I said, look at that rainbow cloud in the sky.
What does that mean?
Turns out that it means someone told me that it was old folk that if you see this rainbow in the sky,
It means that in 48 hours it will rain.
Well, what do you know?
48 hours to the minute it started raining in Pebble Beach.
Unbelievable DM.
I got to go back and see what said it.
But when I was looking at that rainbow, you had your shady raison regs and you're like,
well, you got to look at this rainbow with the shady raison.
Watch the colors pop.
And I didn't believe you.
Bro, it was, I thought it was fake.
I'm like, something happened to me with my eye.
The technology of these people use is it's really something special on top of that.
They do free replacements if your shades are long.
or broken for any reason.
Doesn't matter what happens.
Dropped in the ocean, the lake, the golf,
you lose them on the golf course, whatever.
They will replace them.
That's why Shady Ray's is doing so well
and how much they'll take care of you better.
Anybody else exclusively for our listeners.
They give us the best deal they have to offer.
It's a Black Friday level deal that they're giving you folks.
Use code 4, F-O-R-E, P-L-A-Y, one word.
You're going to get 50% off of two or more pairs.
That's buy one, get one free.
You can get two pairs sunglasses for $45 again.
You go to their website, shady raise.com.
That is shady raise.com.
Use code for play.
You're going to get two for one.
Is there, this is from Kevin,
is there an age where it becomes acceptable
to use a pull cart?
Now, it's probably been a year or so.
We had this talk on the show that, yes,
I do think it looks a little ridiculous
when a grown man is using a push cart,
pull cart, whatever you want to call it.
I think it looks ridiculous when they put like the NCAA
college golf tournament on golf channel and you got again these guys that are going to be like turning
PGA tour pros in a couple weeks and they're out there with a push cart having said that
we're not really pro hardo here so who gives a shit if it's more comfortable and all that
pushing a card around for you go for it knock yourself out I just wouldn't be caught taking like
pictures doing it yeah I think I was pro pole cart when we did this and it's yeah whatever makes
the game more enjoyable for you. I don't think golf is a sport that should be driving people
away in any sort of way. And I think pull carts, you know, if you want them, they're comfortable,
it makes it easier. Do it. I really don't have anything against it whatsoever. You're going to get
made fun of. Have you ever done it before? No. I have. I have. I used to, I think it's actually,
I think the age requirement is usually like when you're too young to know that it's not cool.
So like when I was learning how to play golf and I was like 10, 11, 12 years old, I had a push cart.
Like I'd go out there. Me and my friends all had push cards.
It was like the thing to do almost because we were always walking.
We were just learning how to play the game of golf.
We were always walking these like shitty municipal golf courses in our town.
And we just always push it.
Like, you know, it's just what we did.
And then like then when you played high school golf, you realized like, oh, it's actually cooler to hold your bag.
It's like what the college kids do.
And like the better things do.
The better players do.
And then when you become like 60, then you just get the pull card again.
So it's almost like the beginning and end.
I'll be honest.
We're going out on this amazing golf trip.
And our team name is going to be called the push cart mafia.
Nice.
And you'll see four guys.
guys with push carts on a few rounds of golf.
We're going to take a picture with push carts.
And, you know, I'm not really going to defend it.
That seems like you're mocking push carts, though, when you do it that way.
There might be a little of that.
Right.
When we're at Bethpage Black and we're on the 15th hole, you don't think that entire day,
I'm like, I wish I had a fucking push cart this entire time.
I see these old.
Automatic, too.
Unbelievable.
Keep the distance from you.
Hell yeah.
You see old guys do that all the time.
Yeah, they call them R2D2.
Those things, they got, they literally, they're like the same fucking machine.
It feels like is R2D2.
and we had a guy, his name was Anil at Granite Links.
He would always rock one of those things.
And he would, anytime you saw that motherfucker, great guy.
He's a lawyer, super nice guy.
Anytime you saw that motherfucker out there on the course,
you could see him from 10 holes away.
You'd see him over there.
He'd have his push cart would be about five feet in front of him every time.
It would just be moving in front of him as he's walking down.
Laugh out of funny stuff.
But you're right.
Those things, the automatic ones.
And again, I'm not really against anyone who uses one,
but I will make fun of you for using it during it.
Yeah, and it's probably the last that people,
have will be behind your back they probably won't do it to your face yep so you got to be just prepared
for that and that's happening to yeah like i will mock you guys on social media during the trip
but i probably i won't i won't say anything to your face you'll be made fun of in front of other
people on the internet yeah i mean whatever okay but you're again yours feels like you're like look
at us we're using push carts because they're well one of my buddies suggested it and then i'm a
carry guy but in this case caddy carry whatever um but now that he's doing a push card i'm in on a
push cart and hey if I can save my back a little bit over what's going to be like seven days of
36 holes a day pretty much I'll do that I'm big caddy guy now I've done a big turn yeah it's like
having caddies you know why it's just paying the money even going through some of the stuff I don't
love about it it's all worth it when a couple times around when I hit a green regulation and I get to
just carry my butter all the way up to the green that's awesome really good nothing better I'm
gonna try to mock you if you misreads the green I'm just gonna film every pot fine
Oh, good.
Dude, when we played...
When we played Paso, which I played like shit in the first nine or ten holes, I just
didn't have it.
And then fucking Whitney left.
We canceled our match because he drove off the golf course like a maniac thinking he was
going to miss his flight.
Which actually, I don't know if we even talked about that, but Whitney left the golf
left the golf course because he realized that there was going to be traffic going
up to San Francisco and said he made it just in time as they were closing the door.
That's insane.
Literally left at the exact time he had to.
but I ended up playing really well once he left
and I remember our caddy was like
he said to me he's like I hit a really good shot on
to one of the hardest screens and I think that was the one that we did
we did a video with the Riggs verse
yes he did and he handed me a potter he goes
go take a walk like I was like I feel's fucking good
he goes I don't wait for you to take a walk today I'm like I'm gonna go take a walk
and I walk probably 120 yards with my head up high
and I just looked at the sky and like the sun was set
and that's a great feeling knowing someone else is putting your bag over
there being like this this
bag's gonna be here when you're ready but you're gonna go walk up to that green and put
that thing completely worth it that's why i just completely worth it so in wisconsin i'll be
rock a caddies the entire time as a caddy you love hand in the putter too it's like a
unreal feeling well also it makes your job ways you don't have to go trek around the fucking
green side bunkers the fescue and my guy would hit one nice one tight i'd smack them in the chest
with the with the the grip of the putter back take this thing big boy and go fucking knock that
thing uh so yeah that's that's how we feel about
Push carts, pull carts, wherever you want to call.
Matt, a couple of questions about booking golf trips.
Do you typically schedule tea times before you leave or you show up
and attempt to schedule tea times last minute with something like Supreme Golf?
I actually responded to Matt, but I'm going to talk about on the show too.
Always get tea times as far in advance as you possibly can.
That's just the best advice that I can give, no matter where you're going.
It might be, you know, a resort like we're doing San Valley and Whistling Straits,
where it might be somewhere else.
Like Lassonia Links is just like a public track that we're going to play.
Still, I emailed those motherfuckers and, like,
February and said, hey, we're coming, try to get tea times so that you've got it locked in.
Then you can plan all kinds of other stuff.
You can look at, you know, activities.
You can look at what you're going to do in the morning, what you're going to do afterwards.
If you're going to go some courses now, they have like shooting ranges where you can go shoot some guns.
They got like white water rafting they had up in Cabot, which we tried to do one day, but it was the rapids were so intense that we couldn't even go that day.
But you can kind of schedule more stuff out.
So I would say, no matter what, always try to schedule things as far in advance.
And then a follow-up to his was, what are the ideal T-T times for a 36 holes-a-day type trip?
Now, we always, because we pretty much have Fourth of July week off, we always do a trip around Fourth of July,
and that's when the sun is in the sky, the longest, pretty damn close to the summer solstice.
So really get away with a lot more.
Like when we're in Wisconsin, the sunset is 8.40 p.m.
Which means you can play until like 9 o'clock.
That gives you an unreal amount of options in terms of tea times.
So we're doing one day where we tee off at eight and then at like two and we'll be done by six, six 30, something like that.
And then we'll have, you know, two, three hours to kind of hang out at night, do dinner as the sunset.
And then we're doing another day where we're sleeping in until like 10 and still being able to get 36 holes in.
So I'd say mix it up.
You really can never underestimate how hard you're going to go.
You drink a lot during these damn things.
And then the golf is a lot.
You do 36 holes a day.
And you think you're going to be totally up for it and ready because you'll be so excited and you think about golf.
sitting in your goddamn cube all day.
And then you get out there and you kind of realize, like, this takes a lot out of you.
So I would say kind of think about it that way.
You even do one day, which we're doing a day or two during our trip,
where we're just playing 18.
I mean, I know that that sounds saying right now, like just playing 18.
Like, oh, wow, you guys are heroes.
But it really is tough to, like, not play a ton of golf.
A rigsy golf trip is a grind.
There's no way about it.
It's a grind.
There's no way around it.
It's a bad.
I mean, it's a fuck.
There's no way it's a vacation.
It's not.
It's not relaxing.
I do have a vacation.
I sleep until 11.
I get a fucking beer in me at 12
I maybe have some dip
French onion dip and some chips
My God do I love French onion dip
I thought you were like thrown in a lipper there
No no no no
But also you realize you can have like French onion dip and stuff like anytime
So my favorite thing about
And then I maybe golf at like one o'clock
1 30 come back you're back at six
The sun's starting to like
You know the heat's going down a little bit
Get by the pool like that's a vacation
So that's a vacation this is a golf trip
Golf trip is different than vacation
I'm a go go go go guys
And so you're up at 6 a.m.
Yeah, there was.
I mean, we were fucking up at 6 a.m.
Two days in a row.
And then we walked 36 holes.
Like, we were up at 6 a.m., man.
I was up at 6 a.m.
I went to sleep at 12, and I'm back awake.
I'm like, holy fuck.
I mean, one day we went to bed at 4.
We were up at 6th.
I was like, ugh.
I looked up at my ceiling and I'm like, uh, I looked up at the ceiling.
I'm like, what's happening to me?
Is this a punishment?
But then, but then you're out in the course and you feel awesome.
Yeah, you only need like a one hole or a half hole to get back.
in a swing.
Yes.
My favorite thing, 36 holes, morning tea time, like what we did at Cabot, you come back,
you kind of chill for lunch for like an hour, hour and a half, and then you go back out there.
Maybe take a nap.
Exactly.
Just relax.
We had the golf on.
It was like perfect.
Take a shower.
Yes.
Toul time.
Do the whole thing.
He's got to get those dips in.
Dude, I love dip.
I mean, me too.
So my advice is to kind of plan a couple different types of days.
That's what I would give, which is, again, maybe do a day where you get to sleep in a little
bit people enjoy that and just play 18 that day and then the other days you want to go hard as
hard hard hard as hell with 36 holes a day go for it i've i've fallen victim to kind of our own
excitement pretty much every trip i've done and just played as much golf as possible and then by the
end of the trip like frank you're saying sometimes you're staring at the zilely what are we doing
right now happens we're at cabot we optioned and it's crazy to think about right now sitting in this
office where you'd love to play golf we're at cabot cabot links cabot clips for the two courses
we on Sunday morning because we were leaving at like 11 or 12 on Sunday.
We had a tea time at like 7 a.m.
just lurch and I were going to go out there and play.
There's nobody on the golf course.
Gorgeous day.
We were sleeping literally on the first hole.
Our villa was on the first hole.
We could just walk down to the tea.
And we woke up at, you know, whatever it was, 645.
And we just said nope to each other and just didn't play because it was our last day.
We were exhausted.
We weren't right back to the back.
It just takes so much.
It does.
Especially that link style golf.
It's just hard on your feet.
It's just not overly comfortable the whole time.
It's just hard ground.
So it's just a little bit tougher.
And we were up at, you know, up till 233, four or whatever.
And then up at six.
It's just, it's a grind.
It's a golf trip.
It's not a vacation.
And we said, like, mid-next week we're at the apartment.
Like, how about we just didn't play golf?
I think that's crazy time.
One of the most amazing courses I'll ever play.
Bryce asked a question that many, many people ask.
He says, what's in the bag for the boys?
Now, I put this in for a couple of reasons.
One, a lot of people ask it.
So I just want to give information because people are curious about it.
And two, to say also, like, we don't have any equipment sponsor right now.
We are without an equipment sponsor.
So we can kind of talk about whatever the hell we have.
And if somebody's out there that's like,
oh, you guys should change that or you should do.
Fine.
Feel free to reach out to us for Play at parcel sports.com.
Now, we, of course, did have a titleless deal for the second half of last year.
Yeah.
We got fitted.
We used our clubs all year.
It was great.
I still have, I think every single one of those is in the bag.
I've here and there swapped some things out, but always gone back to it.
So I have obviously TS3 driver and three wood.
I have the TMB.
in my long irons.
Those are the ones with like the more of the thicker back that kind of look like driving irons.
I have that in my three, four, and five iron.
And then I have AP2s at my six through my pitching wedge.
I have the SM7 wedges with the black finish, which are sick.
Those are the best wedges I've ever had.
They're fucking awesome.
And then I have the Scotty Newport.
I think it's 2.5 is my plutter.
That's what's in my bag.
I've got driver G25 ping.
Are you going to talk about your driver?
Well, that was a miss.
So Riggs and I played this last weekend.
I was the G25, a little lightheaded.
So I was trying to get a heavier head on the toe or a little bit more weight out on the club head.
So I switched to a Wilson.
And I think I actually loved the way it felt.
It's just a little short.
So I was just constantly pulling it.
So we're going right back to the G25.
Yeah, I mean, you put it in.
You've been driving the ball well.
Right.
I thought I could pick up another five yards.
And you just changed drivers.
And you did it on a weekend where we drove like four hours away from our home.
And you didn't bring the other.
driver that you'd been hitting well.
Yeah, that was a miss.
And two holes into us playing 36
holds was like, this driver,
I can't hit this goddamn driver.
She's like, well, what are you doing, man?
So then I just did the stenson.
I started ripping that three wood, though, pretty well.
Totally.
Yeah, I agree.
It was a miss.
I'm some, you know, you don't, you're not perfect.
So G25 driver, G33 wood.
Hybrid, I've got like an old
tailor made 21 degree.
Irons are rocket blade tailor maids.
52 and 56.
I'm a real mixed bag here.
52 and 56 are Voki SM7s, which I love.
Then I've got a 60-degree Mac Daddy,
which I actually love because the grooves are everywhere on the club face.
And then my butter is preposterous.
I can't say that word either.
Proposterous.
Proposterous.
Proposterous.
Proposterous.
I got a word.
I have a sense I can't say.
And that's a child's belly Cleveland putter.
It's an outrageous.
It's one of the most.
It saved the back.
You don't have to put down that much.
So I'm doing a TS3 driver, TS33 Wood.
I got the title list.
I don't remember which hybrid it is.
It's like the H something.
I can't remember exactly which one it is.
Is it like a three hybrid?
It's a three hybrid.
Yeah.
It's pretty sick, though.
I love it.
No, you hit that thing well.
Yeah, I do hit that thing well.
Then I do AP3 irons, which were the new version.
It was like kind of a mix between the AP ones and the AP2s,
a little more forgiving, really nice looking.
And then with the wedges, it's weird.
when I got fitted, so I have a pitching wedge, which usually is a 48 degree, right?
Most people would say.
He gave me a pitching wedge and a 48 degree.
So I guess my pitching wedge is a 46.
They do vary percentage-wise or degrees of loft between companies, but I think the standard is 48.
Right.
So I'm assuming I would hope is that my pitching wedge is a 46.
I mean, I've put them next to each other and the pitching wedge does have less law.
So I have a 46, a 48, a 52, and a 58.
which I think it's crazy, you didn't give me a 60.
I mean, of all the people to give more loft to, it should be me.
I'm the one that just can't get under the ball.
Like, why are you trusting me with my most lofted wedges of 58?
So I hit the 58 all the time, rarely hit the 52 around the greens.
I don't know why I would ever.
Well, it's harder to skull it with less loft.
Like if you have a putter that's flat, you're never going to skull it.
Right.
If you have a 90 degree club face or something that's completely open,
it's much easier to skull it.
So actually if you have a –
90 degrees, yeah, you'd be using like a plate, basically.
89 degrees, yeah, a plate is a little off.
Exactly.
So it's going to be.
But yeah, and then I got, so I always had a regular Scotty Newport, just a traditional.
It's one of my older putters.
I've had it since I was in high school.
And they gave me in the new, when we got the fitting, the new, it's like a brand new new port.
I believe it's the Newport 3.
And it's attached at the heel of the.
the club. So it's like a very L-shaped and I'm still getting used to it. It's actually an inch
and a half shorter than my other one. So I'm, I'm really dealing with like a length difference
to my old putter and my new one. But yeah, I'm title list out right now. I don't have many
complaints about it. I would like to maybe hear some people on, uh, um, on the, uh, what's it
called? The internet? Well, no, uh, the feedback machine. What do you, uh, what are you? I don't know what
you're doing. I don't know where you're at. Just a pause.
Just a long pause.
On the boat, the ship, the car, the truck.
The word I was thinking about.
In the business was the hybrid.
I do hit it well, but I don't know.
I've never had a Titleist Threewood or Hybrid is the first time I've ever hitting them.
I would like to see if they're, I feel like there's, I don't know why, but I feel like there's better clubs out there than the Titleist hybrid and Threewood.
I've never really seen much of that in other people's bags.
I feel like I'm like the only person that's ever had it.
So I want to know it's an unpopular club.
Interesting.
Yeah.
I will say that I talked about my Scotty Newport 2.5, I guess it is,
and I'm really considering throwing I had a ping answer to for years that I rocked,
and it's got a little bit different of like where the shaft, the way the shaft in the club,
it's like a little bit where it goes back.
I don't know what they call that.
You know what I'm talking about where the shaft?
The offset?
It's a little offset, right.
And my current one isn't.
And I think that I like that a lot better about my ping answer too.
so I might get that re-gripped and bring that to Wisconsin.
I'm thinking about doing that.
Yeah, I didn't tell you.
I also want to be a mallet guy and they didn't have one.
And lefty.
That's another thing people got out.
I don't have fucking lefties, Scotty Cameron.
You can choose between one option.
A thing that we got is that when we got all the title list comes that we have now,
we got fitted for everything but putters.
Putters, they said like here's just pick out any putter than one.
Which is awesome.
Again, it's incredible.
But it's not, it wasn't a $500 putter.
Whereas the rest, like the irons, the wedges, the, the,
all the driver heads were all like they put you on track band.
They tested everything and fitted us.
We're like, no, numbers wise and feel wise, this is the best club for you.
Putter, they just were like, go grab whatever you want.
Again, all of these are very cool problems to have, but our putters might not be right for us because we just grabbed them.
Yeah, I took everything from the titles fitting and just threw it all in my bag.
I was so, I needed an upgrade so badly.
So I've got a TS3 driver, TS2, 3wood that I love.
I can hit the shit out of that thing.
Yeah, you do hit that thing off the ground too.
Yeah, I mean, I love that club.
so much. AP2, I really do.
If I wasn't hitting it so well with my driver, I would hit that thing off the T all the time.
But I haven't even really tried, not with the TS2.
What are your irons? AP ones? AP ones, yeah. AP1 irons.
I thought maybe AP2.
Mine are AP2. No, they're AP ones. Yeah, they're AP ones.
The other Bodies.
Whichever have the, whatever has the most give, whichever has the most give.
Yeah, AP one's most give. AP2's the blades and AP3 is the combination.
Yeah, because we, okay, yeah, yeah.
And then I've got a, nice job, right?
Thanks.
52 degree wedge of 48, the 48 I love.
I use the 48 pretty much exclusively around the greens.
And then I've got a Scotty Cameron Laguna that, like these guys are saying,
my putting's okay, but I don't know if that's the right putter for me.
It's a thick little putter you've got.
It's thick.
It's got a thick back.
Yeah, it's got a good, like weight to it that I like.
I just think I need to use it more to get to get used to it.
But, yeah, I'm all titles right now.
I mean, I'd love to get putter fitted.
And I don't, I've always had a Scotty, but I'm, I mean, you want to throw an Odyssey right in my hand.
I'll do that tomorrow.
I just need to get fitted.
My, my, the face of my putter is never fully on the ground.
And it's got to be something, the way I stand.
I want to just get fitted.
I want the angles to be.
Yeah, I know what you're saying.
You're always, the toes always in the air.
Yeah.
And like, it's, there's nothing really like, that's just like how it feels comfortable.
So like, if I had a fitting, they'd probably just like adjust the angle of the putter face.
Yeah, I've been going through a putter thing.
We have, we have an, we have an Odyssey, white hot.
that's very similar to Phil's putter
that we've had in the apartment for like three years now
that they just sent to us a bunch of putters
like three years ago.
Phil makes that putter look so easy to hit.
Man, we drain that thing in the apartment.
We drain it left and right.
So I put it in the bag.
Putted the worst ever puttutting my fucking life.
I put it in the bag once too.
It was a nightmare.
It's also a little shorter too,
so I think my back just gave out
because I bend over for this thing every hole.
I think the two putters that I'm looking at,
Scotty Cameron's are beautiful.
The new ports are unbelievable.
And then actually the other putter
that I've always loved the look of is Wilson 8802 putter.
I love the look of it.
Oh, the real, like, simple one, yeah, flat one.
Yep.
Oh, wow.
Always have loved that look that look.
Yeah, that's a nice one.
No, it does have a nice look to it.
But the other ones that Taylor made, the Jason Day, the Jason Day.
Yep.
Oh, the spider?
Spider.
Spider.
Everybody went to that thing.
Oh, it's so nice.
Yeah, it does feel great, actually.
The weight behind that thing is incredible.
I feel like that thing, I feel like you can't, I feel like you really wanted,
you had to hit a put that went and stopped, like in three and a half feet.
You couldn't do it.
Like you can make a three and a half foot put put because you can't miss because that thing looks like a fucking pendulum
But if you it's such a big fucking Intrusive thing that if you actually tried to hit a put that just went and stopped three and a half feet
I just don't think you can physically do it. It's too big
Yeah
I feel like it would go 12 feet no matter what like that's the minimum you can hit it also though the way that these get the professionals hit it and they show that
Which with any putter and any pro when they have that little angle where it's just the put on the camera angle
They make it look it's impossible to miss but some for some reason the way they hit the
hit the spider, it is impossible to miss a put with that thing when you're watching it.
I agree.
They never, ever hit it off the toe or, or the heel that it's just always right in the middle
and it's perfectly centered, always at the cup.
Always.
When Jason Day, when they cut to Jason Day and he has like a five foot putt, it's almost,
it feels like it is a scientific impossibility for that butt not to go in the hole.
It's amazing.
And it falls in perfectly every time.
I might have to get a spider.
So, yeah, obviously we're pretty tired of us heavy because of the deal that we had last
year and we haven't changed anything really since outside of you know a couple tweaks here
and there in the bag stuff we have lying around the apartment uh that kind of thing but we're still
you know we're pretty much tidal us through and through um not not because of anything other than
you know we got the fitting we really like the clubs and we still use it it is 2019 everybody needs
a great pair of wireless earbuds especially our friend tiger wits we were watching him putt around
and he just had his headphones were hanging in front of his face and I don't know how he putted like that
was right before he met him and talked to him but before you go dropping hundreds of dollars on a pair
You got to check out the wireless earbuds from Raycon.
They hit us up with a couple of these, and I got to tell you,
I can never go back to really anything else.
They're that good.
They're simple.
They're sleek.
You don't really notice them.
They're not getting in the way if you're trying to putt again, like our good friend, Tiger Woods.
One of the most incredible things we witnessed there was Tiger Woods' his headphone just hanging there as he was trying to putt.
Dangling off of his college shirt.
We were distracted by it, and we weren't the ones putting.
It was.
I said to myself, is this guy's practicing?
with these things dangling,
and he will not be having anything dangling from him
when he plays in the tournament.
So Tiger Woods is not preparing the way he would prepare it usually.
It was bizarre.
Now, Tiger, if you're worried that typical earbuds that you see,
I know you're listening to Tiger, our good friend,
are too expensive, that's why you're kind of using the wired ones.
Raycon, their earbuds started about half the price
of any other premium wireless earbuds on the market,
and they sound just as amazing.
The company was actually co-founded by Ray J.
and celebrities like Snoop Dog, Cardi B, they're already obsessed.
They love this stuff.

Connor says I'm an average golfer around a 13 handicapped.
How much better do you think I would be with a professional caddy on the bag at all times?
Way better.
Yeah.
I'm saying not better at all.
Interesting.
Wow.
Because I don't even think the caddies like, yeah, hit it over there.
A professional caddy.
Right.
I get it.
I think at best.
You have a difference in my game when I have a pro caddy or a guy who's really good when he's telling me here's your hole.
And we're on the greens and we're playing these unbelievable golf courses.
And he's like, here's your hole.
All you need to do, Frankie, don't worry about the hole over there.
you need to aim like just right in front of you just to the right and it's going to fall off
and I'm like and I just trust them and it just trickles down towards the hole and I just laugh out loud
like I never in a million years would have putt that way that guy will save me so many strokes
through every round for the rest of my life are you kidding me I don't think I'll become better
I think two strokes better at max and I also think that at a 13 when the caddies like hit it over there
he can't consistently hit it over there so I think his skill but I don't think I think that's 13 because
He doesn't know where to hit it.
If he was like a four or a five, I think he gets drastically better.
No, I think the higher you get, the more strokes they save.
And the reason is because course management and strategy.
I think that is so big in golf and so many people that are like 13 or whatever step up to every part four with a driver in their hands.
They step up to every part five of the driver in their hands and they just swing and their misses are massive.
I think having a professional caddy who knows your game, who is there with you on the range,
who steps up and says, all right, man, it's just a four iron off this tee.
will mitigate a lot of those big misses and the higher numbers,
keep it a lot to, like, bogeys versus triples,
and I think they would save, like, five, six shots.
I think they would legit shave, like, five or six shots off of 13s game.
Okay.
Yeah, there's certain holes where there's water on the left
and, like, a 13 steps up there with a big stick,
and they're ready to hit a driver, and the caddies, like,
you're not doing that, dude.
You're going to take this hybrid.
You're going to hit it out right.
You never hit this ball left with this club.
Like, let's just shoot it out there into the fairway,
and then, like, a 13 doesn't think that way.
And I'm telling you the putting, he would save so much strokes on the putt.
It also depends what type of golfer is.
But yeah, I guess.
Like if he's a good putter already, then maybe not.
But if he's a, I'm saying, yeah, if he's like just not a good ball striker,
he's still going to have a tough time navigating the course.
But I do agree with the Riggs's point of strategy and course management is a big one.
And that's where I think he'd save a couple.
I think you saved strokes by two putting every hole.
Like, that's your goal.
It's a two putt each hole.
Totally.
I think a caddy makes that drastically easier.
So here's that the Hank case.
that's kind of the Hank Haney school of philosophy was that every golfer at every single level in order to get better,
there's three pretty simple things that you can do and that you should focus on.
One is no three putts.
Another is no penalty shots.
So like always finding your golf ball, not taking penalty strokes.
And the third is no multi-chipping.
So like anytime you have a chip or a green side bunker shot, getting it on the green.
God.
And it's like.
speaking right to me.
None of those, right, are saying, like, you have to hit it in the fairway.
You have to hit it on the green and you have to make every put.
He's saying something that's very reasonable, which is like avoid the trouble.
Just keep it in play.
You don't have to hit a perfect shot.
Keep it in play.
He's saying you don't have to get up and down and hit some sick spinning shot out of every bunker to like an inch.
He's just saying get it on the green and don't have multiple chips.
And he's not saying drain every putt.
He's saying just two putt every time.
And he says how many times, how many strokes that would save everybody is amazing.
So that is kind of go along that philosophy.
And I think that, like, the reason that I claim and believe that a professional academy would help so much is because I think they'd be very good at eliminating a lot of those things.
I heard of that.
So I think that's kind of an interesting.
Hank Haney used to tweet that all time.
And then, you know, he kind of started tweeting about different stuff.
He kind of went to cancel him.
He flew right off the earth.
We're not going to talk about it.
No, we did.
We're not here to talk about Hank Haney.
I mean, no, I just did.
This guy, Chris, says, so Page Sparantic, a very good friend of the show, a friend of the program, tweeted that,
golf should be less than 18 holes.
I was wondering what the guys thought and what your number would be.
I will say, it is kind of amazing that golf is 18 holes.
It's a lot.
It takes on average now, I've known, like, when you go to public courses, especially
like five hours to play golf, that's, if you go play, like, you know, we play men's
league hockey in the winter, like, the game's like an hour of 15 minutes.
And that's a commitment.
It's too long.
Golf's four and a half, five hours.
For the average person, it's just too long.
I called my dad today.
I was like, hey, you want to golf on Sunday?
I can get us out, like, in the morning.
morning. He's like, I got something to do at like one. He's like how long? Like I'm like, yeah, it's probably going to take five hours. Like, right, guys are jobs and normal lives. Even on the weekends and stuff, you have commitments. You can't step away. Whitney talked about this when he was on our podcast. So when he was getting married, he's like, I'm going to golf. Like that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to go off. And like, that is the, that's what I'm going to do with my life. I'm going to be away for six hours every single day. And that's what I'm going to do. Like most people just can't do that. If you can cut that to three hours, then you have something that more people could.
play.
I don't think it should be the official number, but there's nothing wrong with nine holes.
Nine holes is great.
You don't have...
19 holes.
12.
12.
Because you get, you still have, nothing really changes.
You still have a front and a back.
You do front six, back six.
You still have kind of that same, like, odd, like...
I was I say 14.
10, 7 back 7.
I forgot about the front of the back.
I like 14.
I think the extra four holes that has an hour and a half.
Yeah.
I think 12 is a good number.
12.
Now, here's the problem, right?
It's like, whenever you're out there, you know, when you get to 15 and 16 and you're
kind of playing well, you're rabble.
that it's about over.
You're like, man, I need to.
And, like, you just want to see, like, more holes, more beauty, like, more creativity,
more uniqueness in each hole, more holes you have, like, the more options the architect
has to put in a drivable part four, like a reachable part five, or, like, a sick part three.
And if you only have, like, 12 holes to do it, you don't have as much.
And the only reason I don't like it is 18.
You got to find nine, stop at 9.
If you don't want to stop at 9, stop at 9.
Yeah, that is.
18, you just keep playing golf.
Go around and around again.
If you want to stop at 14.
You can stop whenever you want.
Yeah, you can.
They're not forcing you to play a team.
Nobody's got a gun to your head that says, like, you have to finish 15, 16, 17, 17.
I mean, you're paying for 18.
Right, that's where it gets tricky.
Like, you're paying for, and, like, paying for 9 is usually way more expensive than,
then, totally.
When you equal it out to, it's like when you buy a big sandwich.
You see that, like, a half foot long is like $8.99, and a full foot long is only $9.99.
Right.
Like, if it's $85 for $18, it might be $60 for $1.00.
And you're like, well, I mean, we're kind of getting screwed here.
Just go, just go up and be like, I want to pay for 12 holes and see what happens.
I'm here for 12.
I didn't see the 12 hole option.
I'd like to do that.
Thank you.
Pay per hole?
There you go.
I don't hate building us.
Maybe we should build a 12 hole golf course.
This weekend's course started out as six whole course.
We should build a golf course in which people pay for however many holes they finish.
Yeah.
If you walk off at 14, we charge you the 14 hole rate.
So you're going to charge people after golf?
Yeah, it'd have to be something different.
A logistical nightmare.
you're building over there, Frankie.
No, all you got to do is you have a card,
and you load the card with X amount of credits,
and you swipe the card at the beginning of each hole,
and then you're discharged for that hole.
Maybe there's some sort of ball system
where you can get a ProVee one.
You can get whatever kind of ball you want.
This is a golf course in the future.
Yeah, this is like...
See, golf is up being outside and kind of like...
Now you're talking like tunnel system,
so it's like mini golf when you play that last hole
and it just takes your ball so you can't play anymore.
Yeah, exactly.
I don't like that rule.
It should.
18 holes.
Little FYI.
I think they got it right.
Detroit Golf Club this weekend's course started out as a six-hole track.
Next topic.
All right.
No, that's fascinating.
Which, really, very fascinating stuff.
Just a little Flii.
I'm really glad that you brought that up.
What did you do, like, one Google search, and that was your big nugget that you came in with?
Well, I mean, it was just pre-show.
I was just looking around about what we potentially might talk about, and I was looking
a little course history since the track, or PGA hasn't been there before.
I will say there's not a ton of PGA tour events that we, you know, that were like that
crazy.
about and I don't really know that much about Detroit Golf Club.
The only nugget that I have is that I said, now you're getting in your nugget.
Yeah, but I'm actually admitting that it's just like a random nugget, whereas you're like,
yeah, I know all about Detroit Golf Club.
I have no nuggets for you guys.
I don't either.
I asked him, how's this Detroit track to Kevin Kisner?
And he said, better shoot low.
That's all the information I got for you.
Okay.
That's my nugget.
Okay.
So we both did about 10 seconds of work.
I didn't really do any work.
I was just in conversation.
Tracks another good word.
I know we were talking about it on the last podcast.
We were talking, we have to get rid of the word pure or not get rid of it, but we need extra terms for golf courses as opposed to just saying pure.
Track's another one that, you know, that's like what the, if you're an above average golf golfer, you're going to call a course of track.
Yeah, but it's how you say it.
Like track is course, right?
So you can say like that's an incredible track.
But if you do like on, if you're on Twitter and you just put it in all caps, you can be like, that place is a track.
Yeah.
Is there another term for course or track?
Like a lingo?
I think track is like the other term.
Yeah, there's only one, though.
Is there anything else?
The links, no.
No.
I don't think you'd say that.
Frankie didn't like that I called Great Horse Delicious.
I love that.
I said it's a delicious.
I know you would like it.
I could call that like a lovely treat.
Makes you think of food.
You're an idiot.
Well, I'm just saying.
He put it up on three different forms of social media.
So, like, I thought it was just the use of the worst.
A tasty treat.
Yeah, I guess a lot of my...
I said tasty.
I said tasty.
He added the word treat.
Yeah, tasty treat.
Man, that place is a tasty treat.
I mean, it's not a dairy queen.
Come on, guys.
Well, what are you going to describe it?
Oh, I liked it.
That's what I was saying.
I said that he was running out of adjectives to describe these sports.
Not writing a poem.
Yeah, no, I did.
You're not writing a poem.
But when we post about these courses, you don't want too much redundant.
We put it out.
Incredible, beautiful, amazing, unbelievable.
I got one.
How many times can you say that?
I go on the other day, luscious.
Yeah, a great one.
Somebody told that out of us.
Luscious?
You stole that from that guy.
Yeah, but then if you go...
That's like, got another one.
I see what you're saying?
But what if you go play a course that's, like, really dry and burnt out, like a British Open course?
It's not luscious.
It's the opposite of luscious.
It also wouldn't be delicious.
No.
That would be...
A crispy.
Ooh.
A crispy little golf course.
That's a great.
See, I like that.
It makes me feel with it.
That's awesome.
That's awesome.
That's great term.
We're basically just doing food adjectives for courses.
Take something that isn't used to describe what we're describing and we put it on it.
Krispy's nice.
Bingo.
Wow.
I got to play a crispy course now so I can use that.
You got to find yourself a crispy as bad.
No joke though.
If you're out in the golf course and it's like dry and running like crazy and you drill like a low stinger off the tea and you're like, man, this course is crispy.
That you're feeling good.
You're walking back to that golf cart and you're like, I just nailed that.
Oh, watch that thing.
Run.
This course is crispy.
I described a golf shot the other.
day and an Instagram video is, oh, that's beautiful peanut butter.
And you just talk about food.
Some guy got back to me.
I'll use peanut butter for now on.
I was like, oh, nice.
You're just obsessed with food.
That's really what comes down.
I think everybody in this room appreciates food.
I appreciate food so much.
It's one of the great things.
I like food, but people sometimes call me Malnard.
The way you said that, you look to be dead in the eyes, eyes the little glazed over, and you just go, I love food so much.
You want to know why I say that?
It's like we're doing pillow talk right now.
Because I've been on a diet and I just.
don't get to appreciate food the way I used to, you know.
Okay.
It's just, I want to appreciate it.
I'm not a diet for like a year and a half.
Yeah, I guess it's just a lifestyle now.
Yeah.
But I just keep calling it to die because I don't know what it's call.
I haven't come up with a new term.
Oh, yeah, you're not really on.
You're doing less food.
That's just how you eat.
You do less.
Yeah, I don't, yeah, I do less.
No problem with that.
Okay.
Last one, we got Paul.
Golf Dream.
He says, we haven't done golf dreams in a long time.
He says two nights in a row now I've had essentially the same dream.
I'm playing around at Pebble and Tiger happens to be a few holes behind me.
I notice this as I'm walking up to my ball on number 13 green with an easy green side chip shot ahead of me.
I see there's a crowd following him on number nine, nine and 13 are of course right next to each other.
They run parallel.
They run kind of like back and forth.
Tiger looks over to see what my group is doing while he's walking between shots.
Knowing Tiger's watching, I proceed to skull fuck two chips across the green, make double.
I can't even look back his way.
The kid said he wakes up now every morning that he has this dream just definitely.
stated and rattled.
He says, I've been infected by the golf dreams.
Now, we've talked a lot about golf dreams on this one.
Tiger being out there, I'll be honest, Tiger seems to have a negative effect in most
people's dreams.
Gives him the yips.
It's almost a nightmare.
You want to try to impress him.
It makes him nervous, yeah.
Right.
You start doing on pressure.
Tiger does have that aura to him where, like, if you were to see him or think about him
in your subconscious, it would be like a, it's not going to be a friendly, hey, there's
my best friend type feeling.
It's going to be like, there's the boogeyman that's like, he's the best
of all time.
I'm nervous around him.
And when you're in your subconscious and dreaming and stuff, the stories that would come
out there are like nerve-wracking stories and nerve-wracking situations, not like,
hey, let's go grab like an iced tea.
You know, that's a really good point.
And there was a guy, I think it was at the Travelers this past weekend.
I was up there who said, hey, man, I watched all the Tiger stuff.
And that's incredible what you guys were doing out of Pebble.
I loved it.
And he said, no, I got to be honest.
A part of me doesn't want you guys to become friends with Tiger.
He was like, I need Tiger to be like this mythical machine.
and if he's just boys with you adapting you guys up on the green,
that's not like the tiger that I know and love.
And I said, yeah, that's actually a pretty good point, pal.
I said, now look, we're obviously going to pursue it.
And if we can become friends of Tiger Woods, we're going to.
We're going to toss what you said aside because we understand.
But I do understand, and part of me kind of sympathizes a little bit with what you're saying.
I agree.
I mean, when we were looking at him in his eyes, I couldn't believe we were looking at him.
I'm like, this is not a part of Tiger's story.
seeing it through the group chat.
Like I thought at one point looking at his eyes, I'm like, this wasn't supposed to be a part of the tiger story.
Like that book that we like to read, this page was not supposed to be written where he's talking to a schmose on the putting green.
But it's happening.
Like something in the universe shifted in which this is happening.
Right.
Because he's not a normal human being.
He is a mythical unicorn.
He's a, he's someone that is untouchable.
You look at him and you don't touch him.
Like he just floats by.
But we did.
We shook his hand.
We talked to him.
I didn't say a word.
We said words to him and he said back.
He responded to him.
He tried to say words.
He didn't actually get them out.
He rattled you.
Like he said things.
Right.
Yeah.
He said things and it rattled me to my core that I still think about.
I haven't had a dream about it yet, but I'm sure I will eventually.
Station, station, station.
I just can't think of anything.
Cold sweat, puking out the side of my bed.
But yeah, no, I'm with you.
He's a mythical creature.
It's strange to think that we interacted with him.
And I can see from a person looking in being like, I don't want my mythical
creature to be talking to
bloggers. To these
fucking idiots who try to talk about.
Tiger has friends. He has like Noda,
but also notice part of the mythical
story where it's like it's just a friend
that's now in the media that was just at
his college. Like he's part of the story
already. I would also argue that Tiger's
much more friendly than when
we grew up watching him play.
He's much friendly these days.
He's smiling. We're just turning pages
in the book. He's writing new pages. Yeah, but I think that goes
to what that guy's saying. He's like, I don't want that.
Totally. And
And that's the part I totally understand.
Because I love, I think we all love that part of Tiger, which he just intimidated everybody, didn't give you an inch, took a mile.
It was funny about that.
People keep saying that.
And they're like, oh, Tiger used to be this villain.
He'd never talk to the other players when he was on the T-boxes or like on the greens and especially the practice greens and stuff.
He would just like go about his business to be like almost like a dick.
And like everyone would just say there goes Tiger.
He's doing so much more now that I think this is just his new form of getting in people's head.
head when we watched him on the practice screen at Pebble Beach, he was actively like,
like what he was doing to Justin Thomas.
Yeah.
It was just like, it was a long con.
He was getting in his head.
He just grabbed his putter.
He just grabbed his putter.
He's telling him he's like, he's like joking around.
He's like, you're just like not aligned correctly.
He's like, you're aimed so far right.
So far right.
And he's dead.
And he's smacking ass.
But like Justin Thomas went back home that night.
I was like, why the fuck am I not aligned?
It's like, I just think Tiger.
Tiger's almost using this to his advantage.
He's like, oh, guys want me to talk and joke around with them.
Like, dude, he was taking, like, there was guys that, you had to put a gun to my head.
I didn't know which golfer he was talking to.
And he was sizing up his Scotty up to that guy's Scotty.
And, like, being like, basically like, tilting the head.
Like, okay.
And he gave it back to him.
That guy just never used that putter again.
Like, threw it into the ocean.
We saw him just sprinted to the ocean, just absolutely tomahawk to putter into the ocean.
Like, Brian, what are you doing?
Like, it's no good.
Yeah.
Did you see the way he looked at it?
It's like Tiger's putter being like near yours and him touching like that just sucks all the putts out of it.
All the magic.
That thing will never, ever make another putt.
But I get it to a certain degree.
Regardless, Tiger seems to have an effect on people's dreams.
That really fucks up the way they do stuff.
There's that one guy who, Tiger comes to like a dinner party in their backyard.
And this guy, his whole family meets Tiger every time he has a dream.
But him, he can never get to the point where he meets Tiger.
And then he always right when he's about to meet him, he wakes up.
And he's like, I'm stuck in this fucking dream.
So that guy, shout out to that guy.
I hope he got to meet Tiger at some point because we did.
If you have dreams, golf dreams, we find them very funny.
So please send them to us for play at bars tool sports.com.
Dreams a great song by Fleetwood Mac.
Very good.
Dreams is a great song by the game.
Oh, a little hip hop there.
I feel people sing about dreams a lot.
The song is called Dreams.
What's the Dreams a Nightmare song?
No, that's Meek Mill.
Yeah, you didn't have to say no when you answered that.
Oh, I thought is the song.
Yeah, it's dreams of nightmares
