Foreplay is by Barstool Sports.
We come to you live from Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the 2022 PGA Championship.
And we come to you live just moments after what I would say is the craziest all-round day in the history of 4-Play presented by Barstool Sports.
Before we get to any of that, we have a big show.
We have Max Homa, four-time winner on the PGA tour, friend of a person.
program, friend of Barstville Sports on the podcast for about 30 minutes live from the driving range.
And then we also have Casey Cosby who Carrie Cosby.
What did I say, Casey?
Casey Smith was texting me a bunch about how excited she was for a really cool.
Gotcha.
I was a little tripped up on that.
Carrie Cosby, who is the director of golf here at Southern Hills for also about 30 minutes.
He caddied for Tiger a few weeks ago.
His son was in that group as well.
And he talks a lot about the course, the changes, catting for Tiger and all that.
So we got a lot of really, really, really cool stuff.
Boys, I don't really know where to start, to be honest me.
I don't know where to fucking start today.
It was so awesome.
Yeah, it's just one of those days, right?
And it's probably number one in those days.
Like we have a lot of pinch me moments at Barstool Sports in general.
Certainly since we've started this ForPlay podcast and it has grown and we've gone all over the world.
We've met all sorts of different people.
But today meeting, not meeting, hanging out.
hanging out with Tiger Woods
because we met him at Pebble,
which is a video that we have dissected
endlessly on this show.
Literally, we've spent it.
Any time we bring it up,
we just sit and talk about it
for the next 45 minutes.
And you notice something different
every time that's amazing,
that's hilarious.
Frankie waves at him,
where you station.
I slapped them and said,
congrats on the map.
People just break that video down forever.
This is way big.
And now it's not only as it bigger
because there's just more footage.
Like when we did the thing at Pebble,
it was two minutes or whatever
and then he was gone
this time we spent an hour
with Tiger Woods
and I will say I want to say I'm proud
of us because I thought that us as a crew
we just hung out with Tiger
I don't think we were we didn't overdo it
we didn't like slobber all over ourselves
we were clearly brought into the circle
we were hanging out with the boss man with Tiger
with Joey with Robbie Mac
and we were just there and we were chopping it up
We were shooting the shit.
And it was fun and not uncomfortable.
It was like we were just laughing with Tiger.
He was laughing with us.
We got insights about the course, his game,
what he's hitting on a certain tee,
what he thought about this shot,
chips around the greens about right-handed, left-handed hockey.
We just were shooting the shit with him.
And he was so cool and accommodating
and not guarded and laughing.
It was incredible.
Let's start at the beginning.
How did this happen?
How did this happen?
I'm going to fucking puke.
that this just happened
I know
I tweeted out a couple days ago
that I feel like we're becoming desensitized
to all of this stuff
with these videos that we've been putting out
right like Kalamorikawa just came out
DJ's coming out tonight
DJ's coming out tonight
it's just like every single
Tuesday we've been putting out a video
with another mega star
yeah
and then something like this happens
where you're like
I just don't know how this happens
You know what I mean? It was almost like things were becoming like all right like these videos are becoming normal
Everything that we're doing right now is just big like the brand is huge
We're like you know becoming more well known in the golf community and just like everything's just like kind of like progressing as like you would think a big golf brand growing would go and that's something like this happens and you're just like you take a step back and you're like
What actually is fucking going on?
You know what I mean? Yeah
Where you're like how though I know all the other stuff I could see how it happened like like
like we've done a pretty damn good job of like advancing this podcast and like everything's like kind of falling into place we're making connections we're doing this today is not supposed to happen I agree the greatest he is why we do the podcast like he is the guy that there's only a certain amount of the guys that have ever existed not only just like that are around that have ever existed on this planet and he's one of them we've talked in the office on this podcast
Is he the most famous person to ever walk the face of the earth in like our generation?
Like we've had that conversation before.
Yeah, I mean, there was a period that I would defend.
And we were debating this with Chicago.
Guys, yeah, you were spit all over there.
So I had to kind of rescue it.
Is that Sethwa?
Kind of looks like him with the hair.
No, that's just not Sethwa.
That's close, though.
So there was a period in the early 2000s where Tiger Woods was the most famous person on planet Earth.
Yes.
It was fucking.
Pretty close.
If not number one, he's top five.
Maybe you could throw in like George W. Bush and like the president.
You know, like, but really Tiger Woods outside of being a legitimate world leader was the most famous person on planet Earth.
And over a stretch of the last 25 years, a top five most famous people on Earth, top five or ten.
And he just embraced us, brought us in, dapped us up, brought us in.
We didn't even just meet him or.
or we walked a fairway multiple fairways multiple holes with tiger woods in front of 10,000.
I mean, how many people were here?
Like, I'm bad with the estimating.
Thousands of people.
Thousands of people.
Just put an ass on it.
Thousands of people are surrounding the 17th and 18th fairway and green at Southern Hills at the PGA.
Mother fucking championship.
Dude, we're at a major.
This guy just came from the dead.
He rose from the dead.
after this car crash and we never thought we'd see him walk.
We never thought we'd see him play golf again.
We've had endless hours of podcasting from all last year saying this guy's never going to play again.
We're going to be so sad if he never.
We're just going to be happy if he walks.
We just walked down the fairway with them and talked about life at a major.
People were on the freaking fairway seeing Tiger for the first time and maybe like,
like, you know, once in a lifetime opportunity to go to a major.
Maybe like the one and only time they'll ever see Tiger Woods on a golf course,
just strolling by and we're on either side of them.
And he was cool.
That's what I was the coolest guy of all time.
He was super,
he was great.
He wasn't,
he didn't make us like nervous.
He didn't make us like,
he didn't like,
but I mean he didn't interact in a way that made us be like,
he was very just,
we were just rolling with each other.
We were rolling with the punches.
We were chit chatting.
We were just chopping it up.
We were shooting the shit with the boys.
We watched them hit some sick shots.
I mean, on 17,
which they're going to probably play the T's up.
He had a long iron for the back team.
And he went up,
hit a three wood from like 30 yards.
And he hit.
it on the green. And then on 18, he roasted a little squeeze fade down the middle and then made
a little joke. He's like, I'll still have probably a four iron in. They legit had like a four iron in
to an impossible green. And then walking up, Robbie Mack was chirping about like, oh yeah,
you should maybe try to get, you know, a little chipping contest with Frankie or something. And
then Tiger was like weighing in on Frankie and his chipp. I mean, it was as cool as it could
possibly be. Yes, it's obviously, I mean, it's a shocking, shocking, shocking moment that that
happened. I thought I died on the plane last night.
and that this was all just...
You're on a bedding right now.
I am.
I just came...
Coming off the end of a vendor.
You and I did have a real conversation, though,
that we think we died at some point...
In the past.
In the past.
And then, like, now we're just living out this...
What your brain is thinking is the best situation that you could have.
I for sure in the middle of the fairway,
and we'll go through exactly how this all happened.
But there was a point where I had to...
I didn't know how it happened.
I had to...
I had to turn my head and you guys were hanging out with Tiger Wood.
It was...
It was a moment that I just had to just go.
And I went barely, knees buckled.
We'll talk about.
about the whole thing but yeah I'm on a bender I'm barely surviving right now
we're still alive barely breathing yeah oh yeah there you go um sorry it just always comes in
my mind somebody says that still alive but I'm barely still alive pray to a god that I don't
believe in but I got time and she's got freedom when our heart breaks no I don't break
