Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, 4Play listeners, you can find us every Tuesday and Thursday on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. This is the second podcast since Tiger Woods has won the Masters Tournament. Feels good to say. It's been a crazy week. We've been defending the wall. We've been defending that wall for a long time, but this week we get to just launch missiles off the top of that wall and everyone that doubted Tiger, everyone that chirped tiger for the last several, several years, 11 years since he won a major championship.
Starting point is 00:00:33 It's been crazy. It's starting to sink in a lot more. Last time you all heard from us, we were doing a knee-jerk reaction podcast. We hadn't re-watched. We hadn't even really been able to comprehend. We haven't been able to watch the presser, the press conference. We haven't been able to hear his quotes, hear him talk through shots, any of that stuff. This show right here, it's behind the greens.
Starting point is 00:00:55 where were you when Tiger Woods won his fifth green jacket we have people who call in that we're at Augusta national they've got stories it is a where were you when Tiger Woods won his fifth green jacket his 15th major championship it's good to be back big reminder that Supreme golf our presenting sponsor for the year we had a lovely lovely lovely little weekend Saturday morning excursion on Supreme golf that's right to Staten Island Frankie with an all-time video moment video's already been out there we don't need to talk about it this is audio this has nothing to do a video has nothing to do with my chipping we're talking about a wonderful sponsor and supreme golf i don't know why you need to bring anything else into it my voice is actually going as we speak right now yep uh it's not as crisp it's not as nice to the ears to the ear lobes uh and that's just me trying to deflect on and i still put out as monterella yeah i mean just anything that so we don't have to talk about my chipping yips anymore uh that chip and that amazing video would have never been possible if it weren't for Supreme

I've had time to soak it all in. I've rewatch Tiger Woods win the Masters a good 10 times, maybe 15. You know, in real time, we're here at the office.
Starting point is 00:02:37 We're jumping all over each other. We're screaming. The Islanders are winning the hockey game. Frankie, you're screaming like a mad person, like a crazy fucking lunatic. Islanders swept the Pittsburgh Penguins. I just want to let any Islander haters in this room, lurch, just to, you know. It was a good win.
Starting point is 00:02:54 The stage is yours. No, it's not. I'm a Rangers fan. They've lost the stage. I didn't know if you had anything to say to me. No, I said, pre the show. I said, congrats to you. I'm very happy for you.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Great. Everything's great. Thank you. You've won one round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. For sure. The only thing you've done is really worse than the draft pick that you'll get. Okay. And congrats.
Starting point is 00:03:15 That's great. Thanks. That was nice. That's a good course of conversation. Graduation. Frank. Thank you. Appreciate it. I also have to point out and discuss, forgot this, the Barstool Classic.

Starting point is 00:05:22 I started crying. You did finally. Oh, my God. Yeah. Are you kidding me when he hugs his son? Yeah, that's the one that'll get you. Also, when he hugs his mom, Coltita, and you can hear her going, I'm so proud of you. You fucking kidding me?
Starting point is 00:05:36 Yeah. How are you not tearing up in that situation? Yeah. It was an unbelievable moment. It was so cool. I mean, we said it at the later half of the kind of the right off the cuff podcast right after he won, just so pumped for him. I mean, like his relief, his feel. And just kind of like the weight that looked like it was lifted off his shoulders when he won was just so cool and just very happy for Tiger, his group, his family.
Starting point is 00:06:00 And then all the supporters, obviously, on the big win. What a fucking weapon he is now that weight's been lifted off. Are you kidding me with that guy? It's crazy. Petpage, Pebble, anywhere in the UK. He's just a missile. He's just walking around. He is a missile.
Starting point is 00:06:16 The safety's off. He's a lean, mean fighting machine. he's a fucking weapon right now. I saw a headline that I actually just pulled up that somebody put up today that said, after winning the Masters, Tiger Woods feels that he has, quote, proven his critics wrong, says source. Which means he, whoever that source is, Tiger was like, fuck everybody.
Starting point is 00:06:34 I fucking won. Nobody said I could do it, and I did it. And then the source had to go back to this paper and be like, he says that he has proven his critics wrong. You just know behind the scenes he's like, fuck everybody. He said I wouldn't do this. He said what you just said, and then he goes, just church that up a little bit. Make it so it's not as crazy.
Starting point is 00:06:49 think that was a notification or no? I feel like if it was notification, it would say no to be attached to it. So, but I guess who else would the source be? It's also just so obvious that it doesn't even seem like it should be a headline. Tiger Woods proves his critics wrong. Yeah, but he said he proved his critics wrong, right? That's the difference. He feels that he has proven the critics wrong.
Starting point is 00:07:08 I didn't say he said it. Yeah, I'd like to be a little stronger. Tiger Woods screams that he told his critics to go fuck themselves. He screams at the top of his lungs, says some horrible things. But, I mean. So there are a couple moments. that I didn't really catch in real time or didn't focus on in real time.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Another was when he, after he does the whole family embrace and he's walking through the gallery with his son, Charlie, and he just raises his fist in the air. Like he can't help himself. He just has to give, like, he looks at the crowd around him and just gives a like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:07:41 with his eyes. I've fucking never seen that from Tiger. Never, ever. Not once. Like, way after the moment, just like, it's such relief like you said it's such just he's relieving all of this tension all of this stress all of the build up the monkey on his back it is fucking gone he is dangerous he's absolutely dangerous it's hard to imagine it really is hard to imagine that that man is not going to compete
Starting point is 00:08:07 at major championships for years going forward it's not the end this isn't the climax this is the beginning it's an incredibly exciting time to be alive uh sunday was an unbelievable day for us. I mean, we did all this stuff here. We recorded the podcast. We watched it. A lot of people watch us. Watch it live. Watched our reactions. There's a weird thing to say out loud. People are watching us. Watch tournaments. It's nice. We know where we were.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Yep. We know where we were. Thrones then happened Sunday night. That was a whirlwind. I went home. I fell asleep like an hour. It came back. Did throne stuff all night. Can't even believe that was a real thing. That actually happened. Thank God, that was kind of a we're not going to give spoilers away here on the four play golf podcast. But thank God that wasn't necessarily a oh my God type show.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I don't know that I could have handled it. And then outside of that, it was all for me just digesting, comprehending, trying to figure out what all it means, where we go from here with Tiger, like how big the whole moment was. Joe Likava's been making the rounds, doing some interviews. He's had some great stories about Tiger after the fifth hole. Remember Tiger made bogey on the fifth hole every day, including Sunday. Said he and Tiger had a little conversation on the T on six. Threewood. What's up?
Starting point is 00:09:26 Had to be a three wood conversation? Sorry. No, they had like a conversation. Like a what the fuck are you doing conversation? Oh, on six. I thought you were talking about it on five because we talked about he put two drivers into the bunker so frustrated. And then on Sunday he pulled out a three wood. He still big bogey.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Yeah, but better decision, T-Box. So after he played five, he had a conversation with Joey like a, they had a, they had very much like what the fuck is going on here conversation something of that nature because Joey said Tiger then went into the bathroom and Tiger confirmed this too went into the bathroom afterwards kind of gathered himself said he'd spoke to himself I was going to say what the fuck do you think happened in that bathroom did a big tiger like I can't repeat what was said type thing to him talking to himself and then came out like a fucking machine and won the masters now that that gives me chills that's a great story it's awesome what the hell
Starting point is 00:10:17 What all that he say to himself? Says source. I think he responds to himself. I think he says something and then responds. Yeah, I bet it's a two-way conversation. Oh, yeah. I think it's one way. I think it's one way?
Starting point is 00:10:28 I think it's one way, and it's very inquisitive. I think he's looking down upon the other part, the other tiger? Yes. Do you think he says it out loud or do you think he just internalizes it in heaven? I picture him leaning over. I picture him with two hands on a sink, leaning real close to a mirror. And, you know, like, that's the pose I see. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Two hands on the side of the sink. up the same thing. Oh, yeah. Just, he's like, his eyes are right inside his own eyes. He's staring at it. But I picture real words coming out. Okay. I think you're right, Riggs.
Starting point is 00:10:55 I think when he's like, what the fuck you're doing? What are you doing? No answers, but he's just like, what the fuck you doing? Wait the fuck up. Are you going to wake up? Do you want to win the fucking masters? You're the best golfer of all time. Be it.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Do you have a giant dick? Just do it. It's right. Just do it. He does have all those things. Just do it. You callie dab and just do it, huh? You never, I mean.
Starting point is 00:11:13 Frankie's in the cockiest mood ever post everything that's gone on. It's really tough to even like... He's on the biggest heater he'll ever be on. He's just smiling the whole fucking time. I told Lerth, we're taking a fucking private jet tomorrow to West Virginia. But that may be where the whole story ends. You know? Yeah, private jets, they've been known to go down.
Starting point is 00:11:34 I hope it's not for you, Frankie. I hope it's not. Yeah, I hope so. I mean, the only thing holding you back really is that is your facial hair. Yeah, the facial hair's tough. Yeah, you should need cross me. I think I'm worse. I don't have athletic testosterone.
Starting point is 00:11:45 I don't have professional. You have fan testosterone. Yeah, which is bad. Like psychotic fan testosterone. Like basement dwelling, you know. Well, the light shouldn't come on. Admitting, it's the first step. Yep.
Starting point is 00:11:57 You got some, by the way, you got something in your teeth. It's knocking me. It has a little black thing. You have something with a seed today? Do you have a seed filled? Did you have a seed filled? Did you have a seed filled? No, to your right?
Starting point is 00:12:07 No, to your right? No, to you're right? Just get that. It's a nice big black seed. You want a mirror? I can't look at you do this podcast. I'll do this. I'll do this.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Here, turn on your cell. Podcast. Lurch having a big. Jesus. Did you have a sesame seat? What was it? Tell us what it was. Hit us.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Was it a, uh, no, I'd like a taco bowl for lunch. Oh, that's it. Taco Bowl. Yeah, you got Taco Bowl stuck right. Oh, no, you got it out. You got it out. You got it out. I've got some ugly teeth.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Imagine if he was just messing with you the whole time. So, yeah, just to, you know, you know, everything all comes back full circle, Tiger in the mirror. Um, he definitely, definitely said, just do it. Imagine you think Nike's got a camera in there for that? That's a commercial. Imagine that commercial. Imagine that commercial?
Starting point is 00:12:46 Tyke. Commercial starts. This is like the cutting room. Commercial starts. It's just a fucking bathroom. All of a sudden, the door walks. The door opens. You don't know who walks in.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Now the camera goes down to the floor. And you just see a Nike, you see a Nike cleat walking through a bathroom. Clack. Clack. Clack. Clack. All of a sudden, the camera just pans up. You see this muscular man, a muscular body.
Starting point is 00:13:15 and he's just holding on to two things and the camera just fucking comes up behind his back and just zooms in and bang it focuses on Tiger was looking at himself in the mirror. Yeah. And then he gives himself a pep talk, all that. He says, what the fuck you? And then... You've won 14 majors.
Starting point is 00:13:31 You've been here before. You just made bogey on the same all four times in a row. Are you going to win this or not? You are the best golfer of all time. Go out there. Be the golfer you need to be. Just Just do it.
Starting point is 00:13:47 And then bang, it goes to black, just do it. Yeah. That's pretty good. Let's see if the Nike executive is buying that one. I go out and I just like, I buy everything. Nike. We're going to have to invoice Nike for that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:59 For that little part. It's tough. I mean, it's tough because they're like one of the biggest companies in the world. You can't get around that. We got to talk about it. At some point I maybe want to Joe Likava. True. At some point I wanted maybe like the door to open and Joe Likava is like, come on, Tiger.
Starting point is 00:14:11 They have to leave. That's the only part that I would be missing for me. Yeah, true. But everything else was gold. Another thing I took away from La Cava making the rounds was he keeps talking about Maunaar. He shot him 15, how it hit a branch, tree branch. Didn't capture that on TV at all. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Nobody knew about that. It looked like he just flubbed it into the water. He said what Joe said, he goes, yeah, he got a little unlucky there. He goes, I think it did ride up the face a little bit, just came out a little higher than he thought, clip that tree branch and went in the water. Legit, everybody, I think, thought he just chilly but dipped it, right? 100% agree. We were talking about that the other night. Nobody knows that stuff.
Starting point is 00:14:44 I think that's like the most covered up fact about the Masters and like the belief of Molinaris that he choked obviously on the par three and then again on the 15th. But the fact that he just, you know, ball was sitting in the rough. It comes out a little higher. That's things that happen. You know what happens? It's from the Tiger Woods video game. When you're sitting at a lie, it doesn't look like anything's in front of it all. You hit a shot and he goes, it falls right down to the ground.
Starting point is 00:15:07 You're like, what the fuck? I didn't know that tree was there. I will continue to believe that he just put it right in the water. I don't care. TV didn't show it. I didn't see it. That's it for me. Did he not say it?
Starting point is 00:15:17 Molinar. Yeah, I guess I didn't see any quotes. I guess he never really was in a situation where he was like, I just want to clear things up because I know the TV didn't cover it. I hit a tree branch on me. Although if I was Molinar, that would be the first thing I would. Oh, you know, my press coverage. I'm not taking any questions. I just want you guys know on 15, I hit the tree and that's why I went to water.
Starting point is 00:15:34 That's a good shot. It's going to be really tight. Just hit that fucking tree. Not a complete joke. But you're right. He's never like, you know, it was tough out there. I had the part three. and, you know, I kind of just, you know, gave it away there.
Starting point is 00:15:44 And then on 15, I clip the tree. Like, how do you not just say it that way? It's not, you're not making an excuse. You're just, like, saying what happened. Molinari does seem like the guy who would almost never admit mistakes, though. He'd almost just like, he'd be like, yeah, I just did not play very well. That was your Molonari? I think, I can't do Italian, I don't think.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Yeah, Frankie does impression the most aggressively here. I don't know that he doesn't. For those, you got to commit, and I just didn't commit to it. No, that was soft. I tried to say it soft. You were caught in between. So I tried to say it softly so people, like, couldn't hear. You were at Impression Purgatory.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Yeah, I didn't. You never want to be stuck in the middle. I watched that, what's that guy's name, the Impression guy? What's it? Like Conner's sketches or something like that? That dude fucking killed. Oh, the golf guy? Yeah, he does really well.
Starting point is 00:16:24 He did one for the golf channel, and it was, uh, he did a Bubba one that made me laugh out that. His tiger is incredible. His dog is good, too. His bubble with the shoulder stuff. He's like, oh, well, you know, I'm sure he kills it. He absolutely kills a laugh at a lot of life. He does a really good job.
Starting point is 00:16:38 He does a really good job. There's really nothing. else you can say. That guy absolutely kills it. Tiger also said he whiffed his shot on 18. A lot of people were debating. Were that purposeful? Did he hit it 30 yards short on purpose? I was on the purpose train. He's like, no, I was definitely trying to overcut it because I had to play it left. He goes, and I knew if you
Starting point is 00:17:00 miss left, there's a chance you can get in some tough stuff over there and make double. So my goal is just make sure you miss right, make sure you overcut it. And he goes, and I just whiffed it. He just came up way short. And then La Cava, in some of his interviews too, Lecaba was like, yeah, I was actually standing kind of to the right of his shot. And I was blocked out by that tree, so I could really see
Starting point is 00:17:20 where I went. And I kind of said, like, oh, how hard that one ended up when Tiger was like, ah, it's just a little short right. He's like, oh, all right, cool. He goes, I get up there. I go like 40 yards short. That's a great background. Yeah, just got a little confused there. I was all in on buying it being on purpose. At that moment, I was like, that's on purpose. He was just
Starting point is 00:17:38 hitting the ball so well down the stretch that. I was like, there's no way that he'd be 40 yards short, like if it wasn't on purpose. I just thought the way he was hitting a ball. There was just no chance that that could be so. And it turns out I was dead wrong. And that was a mistake. Yeah. So, hey, he still did it, though.
Starting point is 00:17:52 He still made a five and that's all he needed. Almost made four, too, if that putt supposed to break. True. A little bit of BS. Hosung Choi playing in the Trent Ryan. Fifth major. I was going to ask you, are you a little upset that that announcement overshadowed the Barstile Classic announcement
Starting point is 00:18:08 that Hosong Choi is playing in the John Deere Classic. Definitely. I knew it. I was like, oh, maybe you want to hold off on the Barstall Classic announcement that this Hoson Choi thing has come out? But just two monumental events on going on today. A little behind the scenes. We were supposed to announce the Barstool Classic
Starting point is 00:18:23 where we were playing and announced a Barstow Classic on Monday. But with Tigers win, it's so dominant of all the news and all that. You just can't keep pushing it for huge things that are happening in the world golf. So we were like, well, Hosong Choi, John Deer Classic. Fuck it. We're just going to go. I've gotten so many DM messages today. People have been like, this is huge.
Starting point is 00:18:40 This Hosung Choi thing is huge. He's going to be pirouetting all over the John Deer all over Iowa. I mean, the John Deer Classic is an honor that he's going to be there. He should be honored that he's going to be there, which is, I'm excited for him there. But man, what an event that's going to be? Hosung Choi, the fisherman at the John Deer Classic, aka the Fifth Avenue. Funny, he was on the cliffs of Pebble Beach, and now he's going to be in the cornfields of Iowa. They're just the same.
Starting point is 00:19:03 They're on the same level, those two things. you just mentioned. Iconic. Iconic. Pretty excited. Jordan Speeth got his first win there. Bryce DeCambeau first win there. Steve Stricker dominates there.
Starting point is 00:19:14 These are lightning rods of the game. The game is there with a straight face. Although, I mean, you were kind of on a roll there. I am excited. If he wins there, it would be awesome. Oh, my God. 100% all in on that. And the last thing I want to say is a lot of people say at what point do you delete the
Starting point is 00:19:29 master's app? Never. Never. If you're downloading the Masters app the week of the Masters, you did something wrong. Just wait for the, the update. Get you excited. I mean,
Starting point is 00:19:38 whose real estate on their phone is that value? Yeah, totally. Bro, I got that's on there I haven't touched. I've had this phone for three years. I might have 7,000 videos on my iPhone. Yeah. I don't, I don't, and most of them
Starting point is 00:19:50 repeats, too. You know, you double save them sometimes? Definitely. My phone's a train wreck. You think I'm just deleting the master app to save what? One nanobyte giga thing? What do you, what's that? Also, if you're in a bad mood and you just,
Starting point is 00:20:02 like, you just want to open up the app quickly, you get to see the HD view of Augusta. I mean, it's worth. Unbelievable. The way it opens. Clearest picture that's ever been put anywhere is when you open the Masters app. I've got an app on my phone that just says numbers. I've yet to touch that one.
Starting point is 00:20:15 Those Apple apps they give you are just a complete way. If that one's sticking around, then so is the Masters app. That's just the thing that's happening. There's no reason not to. If you're doing numbers, you're doing Masters. Right. There's so many apps on here that I just have an app called Tabs. And you would think that that was an Apple app, but it's just not.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Right? It's just like this little G thing. It's like, you got a message. What the fuck is this app? That's a virus. Nobody has that. Absolutely. Everybody can send up with the numbers.
Starting point is 00:20:40 Everybody's seen that one. Nobody's seen G. That's a virus. Every picture you take someone else to sing. Just know that. Are you kidding me? I also have the Rider Cope app on here. Like, I'll never take things off.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Yeah, whatever. I just have it under a little folder that says golf. I'm a huge folder guard too. Speaking of that, I've had the March Madness app saying waiting since the beginning of March Madness. That is a problem, right? Like, that just says waiting. It won't download. That's tough too because I don't know what the solution is.
Starting point is 00:21:08 There is no solution. There's no solution. All right. So this show is going to be very special. Behind the greens, everybody knows what we do. We take calls from you the people, okay? We've done superintendents. We've done caddies.
Starting point is 00:21:24 We've done all kinds of stuff. We like hearing from you the people. Today, we want to hear from people who were at Augusta. And we want to hear from people just a general. about where they were when Tiger Woods won his fifth greenjack, which will go down in history is perhaps the greatest moment in golf history. Nick Faldo said, Sir Nick said at the end, there's another thing I caught in the rewatch.
Starting point is 00:21:52 He said, this will be the greatest scene in golf forever, is what he said. As Tiger Woods was walking into the scoring area, he said, this will be the greatest scene that there ever was in golf ever. Wow. It's bold language to go with it forever. Like to date, I get, but forever is just like, it's like he's rewriting the Bible. Like, that thing's going to be.
Starting point is 00:22:15 It's a biblical statement. It's a biblical statement. This will be forever. He did. He said this will be the greatest scene in golf forever. And I think that's crazy. How long forever is. I know. That's not knowingly.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Well, I mean, what's the universe is what? Like 13 billion years old? Right. So you've got to think even if it lasts another one of those lifetimes, that's going to be the greatest. seen in golf for the next 13 billion years. That shows that golf and humans did not do the right thing, right? Like, we just didn't, like, we couldn't come up with one more Tiger Woods in the next 13 billion years.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Especially the fact that- It's not just Tiger. I'm just saying the story, okay. You don't think that's going to repeat itself? History does tend to repeat itself. That's a great question, Frank. Like, you really, he's not putting a ton of faith in the next 13 billion years. 13 or 14 billion years.
Starting point is 00:23:02 You don't think this is a guy out there that's fucking unreal golf that, like, you know, gets in some fans. family trouble. What kind of math does he work? Robots in the future and then, like, has this huge robot problem? Yeah. I think you, that's the problem. I think we might need to ask Nick Faldo, what do you know about time in the
Starting point is 00:23:14 universe? Nick Faldo, please call in. He's like, well, dinosaurs never exist. Like, okay, all right. All right. I think what he means is like in his forever, right? He's going to die and that was the best story of all time. He's just saying how special it is.
Starting point is 00:23:26 And it is just, it was incredibly special. Oh, is really? Lurch, he's saying how special. I know he's saying how special. Yeah, that's kind of a little point of the conversation. You know, it's a multiplying effect. You just like special-splained me. Yeah, you did.
Starting point is 00:23:37 He's special-splained them. He's telling you how special it is. Fuck, yeah. He just says the best of all, ever. No, he did say this will be the greatest scene in golf forever. That's insane. Now, I'm doing a little math of my head, too, just kind of thinking through this as we talk about it. Humans have probably been around civilization for, what, 10,000 years?
Starting point is 00:23:53 I was going to try to say it's, but I'm not smart enough. I think it's around 10,000 years the number of people usually go with, right? 10,000. Now, you're talking, if we've come this far in 10,000. year. We've gotten Jack Nicholas 86 masters. We've gotten Tiger Woods, 2019 masters. You're telling me for the next 14 billion, we're not going to come up with something. We've come this far in 40 years. What are you talking about? Like, even for the 10,000 years. It's only the 83rd masters. Correct. So the next at the 14th billionth, the 83th at the 10,000.
Starting point is 00:24:18 At the 14th billionth of 83th, 80th. Yeah. This is not going to be in all that time, not a better. Right. We're one. Right. We're one for 83. Nick, Sir Nick. And this is not taking anything away from Tiger. Right. We're all going to die. truthful this is, this is a tiger podcast where it's very pro tiger, but we know that in the next 13 billion years. It's a numbers thing. It's not a tiger thing.
Starting point is 00:24:40 It's a large numbers. Now, I will say it'd be amazing if in the first 83 years out of the 14 billion in 83, the best one ever happened in the first 83 years. That'd be amazing. Amazing. They'd be talking about it like you wouldn't believe. I'll call it unlikely, but it would be amazing. This is like a guy
Starting point is 00:24:56 when Babe Ruth, like, back in the day, like he set the home run record with like what, like 21 home runs. I one point, like when he first did it, imagine that announcer back then be like, this is the greatest baseball story ever. And then like showing that guy a video of like fucking Barry Bonds hitting like, he's like, oh, I was wrong. Like it's like, oh, shit, I didn't know what was coming.
Starting point is 00:25:16 I had no idea what was coming just a couple years later. Yeah, but ever is two of this point. Forever is the change. Okay, so here we go. I meant to say forever. Just working with you. Whether you were at the range, playing around with the guys, or on the PGA tour, don't be unprepared for a messy.
Starting point is 00:25:32 situation on the course, pack some dude wipes and dude shower wipes. Now look, I have a long documented history of having to go to the restroom on the golf course. Yes, you do. The greatest invention for me. Probably in the last, I don't know, 15 years. Dude wipes. Yep. Dude wipes changed everything.
Starting point is 00:25:51 I put these things in my bag. Okay. Anytime you got a problem. Anytime you got a situation. Anytime you just want to freshen up, whatever the hell it is. Especially you play around a golf. You're not necessarily at a place where you can, um, where you can show. shower afterwards, but you do want to do like the 19th hole.
Starting point is 00:26:05 You got sweat. I'm a big sunscreen guy, so I put sunscreen all over the place. I'm a sweaty guy. I feel like you're probably a sweaty guy. Definitely a sweaty guy. Orch you strike me as a sweaty guy. I get warm. I mean, I'm a big body that's hot out.
Starting point is 00:26:14 You've got sweat mixing with sunscreen. It's kind of gross. All that good stuff. Boom. You get the dude shower wipes. It's like you took a shower. They're awesome. They got the dude wipes.
Starting point is 00:26:24 They're flushable fragrance-free dude-sized wipes. Designed to keep you feeling fresh. They're just the best. The dude shower body wipes. They're extra large, extra, extra thick body wipes perfect for a quick post round. Freshen up when you don't have the time or access to a shower. Have you ready to go for drinks at the clubhouse?
Starting point is 00:26:41 All that good stuff, just like I said. Now, stay fresh, on and off the course. Here's how visit dude products.com today for 20% off with a promo code Riggs20. Starting point is 00:27:06 Awesome guy. Again, here's what you do, ladies and gentlemen. You are going to go to dudeproducts.com. 20% off with promo code Riggs20 at dudeproducts.com, Riggs 20. So we are going to have folks calling it that were at Augusta or even a couple other folks who have good stories about how they watched this whole thing unfold. So let's do this. Let's get to the calls. we are going to begin with, I believe,
Starting point is 00:27:32 a very good friend of the program, Mr. Kyle Rudolph for the Minnesota Vikings. Are you fucking kidding? Really? Big fan of Barstool, big friend of Barstool, tied in for the Minnesota Vikings, one of the best in the league, I might add. And also, congratulations on your MVP last week.
Starting point is 00:27:50 Thank you. Yeah, I felt like I had a big reputation to uphold after our conversation at Cowboy Jacks. So we were chirping them all the time. he's saying, you know, he's this big basketball player in high school and all that. And he kind of had to make the decision between basketball and football. I played in, like, the celebrity game for March Madness. And we were chirping him, like, you know, it's impossible to live up to expectations.
Starting point is 00:28:13 You never should have told anybody he just, he went out and won MVP in the whole game. Hell yeah. It's well done. So I took Big Cass advice. I went, you know, went with a dunk. And do it off the backboard. My first shot, they had a four point shot. It was like 31st of the way.
Starting point is 00:28:28 And I was like, I got to launch this first. because it's either like if you make it like oh my god like this guy can play or if you miss it it's 31 feet away everybody's like oh who cares that's right no that's a good strategy it's smart yeah check it up and even if you miss then you're like i'm just gonna i'm gonna follow this miss up with one off the back where i'm gonna slam at home uh so kyle you're obviously a big golf guy we played in your uh charity golf event a couple years ago up in minneapolis win sung farm great spot great spot really good spot to play a gorgeous golf course Oh, it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:29:01 You were down at Augusta. Tell us how you witnessed Sunday at the Masters. So Sunday, I got there nice and early. And for those of you that have not been to Augusta, like one of the coolest, like traditions, if you would, is the chairs. Like you can put your chair there and no one touches it. No one moves it.
Starting point is 00:29:21 You can leave whatever you want on your chair. So you can put your chair down first thing in the morning and then go walk around. And so that's what we did. We put chairs down in between the 16T and green, facing the green on the left side of the water. And you're sitting in where we put chairs, you could see approach shots on 15 into the par 5 green. You could see the green on 15, 16, T shots on 17, and the par 3 sixth, which is behind the 16 green. So we put our chairs down, and then we walked over to A&M corner. It was kind of a unique master's because they went on.
Starting point is 00:29:58 off one and ten. So right away, we could go over and see people coming down 11, 12, 13. So watch there for a little while. And then once the leaders got on the course, walked back over when we got over to our seats, Ricky and DJ were on six. And then we stayed there until Tiger came over. And then we posted up there in between the 16T and green. So you basically were at the best spot on the golf course.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Yeah. was pretty sweet. So when we were sitting there watching Tiger play six, there was like a huge roar on 16. And like I said, those were the guys that went off on 10. So they really weren't in contention to win the tournament. So you're like, all right, that had to be an ace. That wasn't just like a good shot roar. That was people going crazy. And sure enough, that was Bryson's hole in one. And then after Tiger finished six, we went back to our Cs. on 16 camped out there for the day, got to see JT's hole in one, which was like one of the most incredible things.
Starting point is 00:31:06 He bogey's 15, which no one does that. Like, you know, it's a very getable par five. Throws his club onto his bag, storms off the green before Phil or John Ron finish, goes to the bathroom behind 16T and then walks up and hits an ace. I'm like, well, that's how you turn things around like that. That's outrageous. I didn't know any of that. Good for JT.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Yeah, that was, so he actually, it was funny, he was on our show in, like, January. He was telling us how he's got all these bets with Brooks Kepka. One of them was, like, who's going to have an albatross? Another one was who's going to have a hole in one. And J.T. made that bet, and he won a huge bet off Brooks Kepka for making the whole and one on 16. I'll say, what a better place to get it, too. I mean, just getting a whole on one in general and having it in an actual round
Starting point is 00:31:58 that at Gusta is incredible. So then after that, I mean, you're chilling on 16. I assume as Tigers kind of making his way through A-Mid Corner and getting closer to you guys? Yeah, so it's incredible because, like, you have your little feet, and, you know, you can't have your phone, so it's not like you can follow along on your phone. But you hear the crowd from, like, different parts of the course.
Starting point is 00:32:22 And once you kind of get a feel for where you are and where the different holes are on the golf course, You know, so you hear a couple big roars there around Amen corner and, you know, you're like, all right, this thing is getting close. Like Tiger's playing well, you know they're coming from Tiger. And sure enough, there they come out. Tigers right there on the right side of the fair. Over there in the trees, he cuts all the way across the fairway into the left rough and then in the water. And we're watching Tiger make Birdie on 15 and then walks up and just hop like it was just tracking straight towards the hole.
Starting point is 00:33:04 And I'm like, you've got to be kidding me. like we're going to watch Tigerwood to get a whole on at the Masters and obviously it didn't go. When he's, like when he was, you know, when they posted like Molinaris double on 12 because all you guys see over there is the scoreboard, people going crazy? It's not so. I forget which in there on 16 and there's a big scoreboard behind the 15 green. And I forget who was on 15 green, but they were they were standing over. they like when you can see when they pull back the scoreboard to put a number and post a number up
Starting point is 00:33:51 and they pulled tigers back and literally like there's a guy closes it without putting a number in and you're like what the hell is this guy doing like he's teasing us like and sure enough like I guarantee you the guy sitting next one was like hey don't you can't post this for tiger yet because the crowd's going to go crazy and so-and-so's about ready to make a put on 15 like it's unbelievable the impact that just Tiger has in general. I think, you know, one of the cool stories from Saturday, Tiger also birdied 16 on Saturday. And I forget who was in the rough.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Someone was in the rough or the right bunker on 15. And their catty literally walked over. We were standing right there. And he said, hold on, Tiger is about the putt. Like he stopped him from taking his shot on 15 because he knew Tiger was going to nail that. Bertie Putton, that whole area was going nuts just for Tiger. It was
Starting point is 00:34:48 crazy. Oh, man, that's awesome. On Tiger shot on 16, I mean, was that like the loudest shit you've ever heard? A hundred. He does this time as well. It's crazy. Like I said, like the first roar when Bryson made a hole in one, you were like,
Starting point is 00:35:30 okay, like that's, that was pretty loud for this early in the morning. You know, obviously if they're on the back, they're not in contention to win. So it was like that was big, and then JT's hole in one. But then, you know, just the initial roar when Tiger sticks it so close to the hole, but then just as he walked all the way up to, you know, line up his birdie putt, it was like, people just didn't stop cheering.
Starting point is 00:35:58 Like, it was just so loud. So awesome. So then after he finished his 16, what'd you guys like try to chase him up? 18 or how'd you play it after that? So we had passes for Berkman's place, which is behind, if you go up the hill where 16 is, behind five green. So they have like four bars, like a pup in there. And 16, he made his birdie putt. I'm pretty sure we didn't even watch Molinari on after his putt.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Like we just took off and ran up there. So we actually got there before his T-shot on 17. And then, you know, when he put that T-shot, he's just dialed in. Like, there's no way he's blowing a two-shot lead. Man, that is just so awesome. God, I'm jealous you were there. That's, I mean, that's got to be the coolest sporting event you've ever been to. No question.
Starting point is 00:36:57 And just being at, it was my first time ever at Augusta. Oh, Jesus. Just being there, like, I tell people, you could go for a practice round, a Friday, a Thursday or a Friday. And when you watch it on TV as many years as I had, you have such a lot of, appreciation for the course and then being there in person you get to like see things that you don't see on TV and so taking in the masters for the first time was incredible no matter what and I think you could argue that was like one of the best masters ever I mean the names on the leaderboard how close everybody was and then icing on the cake is tiger winning it well sir
Starting point is 00:37:32 nick fowlis said it'll be that'll be the greatest master's seen forever so you were there yeah I'm not going to be able to top my first one there's no way Unbelievable. All right. Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings tied in. I know you're a big family man, so we're taking you away from your family time and all that. Thank you for taking the time, my friend.
Starting point is 00:37:52 We appreciate it as always. Absolutely, God, is always a place. Have a good one. All right, you too. Thanks, pal. What an area to place your seat early in the day. To place it on the 16th and just everything that unfolded right there. I mean, what an area to, like, lob your seat down for the day?
Starting point is 00:38:07 Unreal. First masters. See, you call them Rudy there? Yeah, that was. We call Rudy twice. You guys had this whole rapport built up with him. I've never met him before. I didn't play this golf tournament, so I just kind of stayed on the sidelines.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Is that what you call him when you see him? Yeah, it's a new thing I'm doing with him. Just trying it out. Yeah. Have you ever done that before? Oh, yeah. Oh, really? Rudy?
Starting point is 00:38:26 Yeah. You like it? I think he liked it. No idea. He's too nice to correct. Yeah. He's the nicest. We've been around him like four, like maybe five or six times now, right?
Starting point is 00:38:35 And like, we've, like, hung out with him. Mm-hmm. I mean, I hung out with him in Vegas, like with McAfee and stuff. Like, I closed down a club with him in Vegas. Like, I can call him Rudy. Also, it's going to be interesting to be like, hey, this is Lurch and talking to Kyle Rudolph, who's absolutely massive. It's just a little baby lurch over here.
Starting point is 00:38:49 I think there's a chance he's going back to hanging out of this family right now, and he's like, one of them called me Rudy. I don't understand. No, I think he knows my name. He called me Rudy. No, I think, no, I think, dude, one time I picked him in fantasy football, and I put up the picture on my Instagram story. Right?
Starting point is 00:39:07 And I'm like, and I wrote and I, I literally, you could just see that Kyle Rudolph was, was my tight end. And he's like, let's fucking go. He just, like, respondent. Like, let's win this W. Let's win this. Come on. Like, that's my tight end. That's my fantasy tight end.
Starting point is 00:39:19 That's my fantasy tight end. That's classic Rudy. I think he may be the best tight end left in football now that Gronka's gone, right? It's a him and kiddle. Yeah. I mean, Kittle. Kittle, that's an early calling. Early call.
Starting point is 00:39:30 He's pretty fucking good. Yeah, he is pretty fucking good. What did he'll have the most yards and. Yeah, he broke like every record last year. Yeah. I mean, that's pretty good. Pretty good. 100%.
Starting point is 00:39:38 There was no other receivers on the team. He's a beast. Rudolph's massive. Massive. Hands like butter. Also, when Rudy was talking and he made the comment, like for anybody who's never been to Augusta, we were all pointing at Lurch because the rest of us have all been to for any peasant that hasn't been able to make their way to Augusta.
Starting point is 00:39:57 For any piece of shit, nobody who hasn't been. So you graduate from a peasant to a patron when you finally arrive at a peasant to patron. That's a nice little slogan right there. We should get a t-shirt. I was going to say that. I saw a t-shirt there. That actually is. Peasant to patron.
Starting point is 00:40:09 You can only buy one of you Bendu, Augusta. Yeah. I should have just given Rudy the best title. I don't know why I brought up Kittle. It's nice enough to come on our show. That's unbelievable. I brought up another name. Iowa pride.
Starting point is 00:40:20 That's crazy. It was. I forgot where we were. No, we were just talking about the best. I mean, he's up there with those are probably, those are the two best titles in the game, right? Definitely. No, I think Kyle Rudolph's the best. I do too.
Starting point is 00:40:31 What does his friends call him, Rudy. Rudy. Rudy. I want to play golf with him in Minnesota again. Me too. Sounds lovely. So we got breaking news here on Foreplay, among the Foreplay crew. We got new golf gloves.
Starting point is 00:40:43 Yep. We're using new golf gloves. Bionic gloves. Now. What a name. Bionic gloves. Bionic. Wait till you hear about these things.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Developed by a hand specialist, patented pads system strategically evens out the natural peaks and valleys of your hand to allow for a more secure, lighter grip on your club. I know you're all doing it. You're all looking at your hand right now. You're going, where are the peaks? Where are the valleys? Guess what does that? Bionic gloves. They're just the best.
Starting point is 00:41:10 They're specially designed motions. Motion zones engineered into the rotation points of the hand for the best possible fit and feel. This thing is like, you know, I used to play ice hockey, obviously. They're very high level, no big deal. You know how they invented ice skates eventually that you put them in the oven and the things would just mold to your feet? 100%. That is like these. bionic gloves.
Starting point is 00:41:35 I don't know about those skates, but they sound awesome. It's like 10 or 15 years ago, Trent Day. They just changed the technology in skates where you would just put these things in the oven. You know, you'd cook them up for like 10 minutes or so. You'd take them out and the technology would just mold to your feet and your skates just fit perfectly. Instead of breaking them in. We see that with mouthguards in football. You boil them in water.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Then you got to bite them while they're hot. Yep. Same kind of thing. Now, think about that concept and apply it to this glove. That's exactly how this thing feels on your hand. hand. It just fits. All the little nooks and crannies and peaks and valleys in your hand. This bionic glove just fits right in there, made of premium materials offering twice the
Starting point is 00:42:12 lifespan of other golf gloves on the market. That is huge for any golfer out there. Free shipping on all orders. Releasing a brand new glove, April 1st is when they released this with a sleek new design on the relaxed grip 2.0. Okay? So they got a new glove out there. It's all kinds of good stuff.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Promo code Viva. Ladies and gentlemen, you get 20% off all golf. products at Bionic Gloves. You go to Bionicloves.com slash golf. Okay. Bionicloves.com slash golf. Use code Viva. You get 20% off all golf products.

Starting point is 00:42:57 Let's go to Ben in Atlanta. What's up, Ben? Great name, Ben. Hey, how you doing? What's going on, Riggs? Trent, Frankie. He's also got a Lurch on the line, too. Suck it, Lurch.
Starting point is 00:43:08 Lurch is wearing a green jacket. We talked about it yet? Yeah, he's wearing a green jacket. He's never been to a message. He's wearing a green jacket. Green jacket, red shirt. It's a costume because it's a tiger. Where'd you get that?
Starting point is 00:43:17 It's all on brand. Hold on. Before Ben goes, Lurch, you've worn that, like, unironically? No, so I really never get to wear this. It's a good question. I really never get to wear this. Why can buy it?
Starting point is 00:43:27 It was given to me. It was a hammy down. And it was just sitting in my closet, and I was like, oh, this will be aware. I can wear this. It's perfect. I missed the memo. If you saw any of the pictures that you guys put out,
Starting point is 00:43:36 if everybody in a red shirt, I was just sitting there like a white, your goat shirt, whatever. Anyway, so I thought, you know, today's a great time. Tiger One, I kind of digested it all. So now I've got the green jacket on with the Red Master's shirt.
Starting point is 00:43:48 All right, Ben, what do you got? Yep. Ben, what's up, pal? How's it going? Hey, yeah, so I'm a senior graduating at Emory University this year, actually in the same frat as Kay Marco. and so we I got my I got master's tickets for my college graduation I was super pumped
Starting point is 00:44:08 looked at the calendar five minutes later found out that my formal was the same exact weekend pretty tough decision there I kind of you know I tried to pressure my parents into letting me do both and luckily they did I only had to wake up at 4 a.m. on Sunday to catch a quick flight out of Panama City Beach into Atlanta and it was supposed to connect in Augusta and then I found out that it kept getting delayed. So my only real, my only real option at that point was to just impulsively Uber two hours to the course. And Uber driver wasn't too happy about that, had to do a little persuading. He's getting paid.
Starting point is 00:44:49 Not for the ride back, though. Pick him another guy. Yeah. There was also a ride back. What was that? No, Lurch said, you know, the guy's getting paid, but I think he's only getting paid. one way and you can't you can't just pick a guy up back like there's like zones and shit that happens in
Starting point is 00:45:04 New York City all the time no he that's just a one way payment that is tough yeah I mean if he was if he was smart he would have stayed in the area I would have just got his number and took him back but uh he's calling your Uber driver thumb yeah not all of them just
Starting point is 00:45:20 just that guy uh yeah so um pretty much get I mean I'm running on like two hours of sleep you know, obviously had a bunch of drinks over the weekends. But, I mean, when you're going to Augusta for the first time, you're just running on pure adrenaline. So I was wide awake at that point. And I get to this gate, you know, there are no cell phones at Augusta.
Starting point is 00:45:45 Thank God for Apple, because my dad had one of those watches. And he is, you know, sending me very vague text about where he is. So I get to Gate 1 and there's just no people there. And my dad's, you know, 20 minutes later, he's like, I'm at gate six. So I asked the security guard, I'm like, hey, where's gate six? He's like, oh, dude, that's like a mile and a half away. So I tell my dad, I'm like, this thing's a mile and a half away, what the hell am I going to do right now?
Starting point is 00:46:15 And he's just like, start running, man. And fresh off my formal weekend, I really felt like I just ran the Boston Marathon after that mile and a half. I was gassed, sweating. but I finally made it in. Got to catch the back nine at Augusta. Got to see the man himself. Close it out. 16 in particular, that's where we were hanging out,
Starting point is 00:46:40 almost saw the whole in one. Honestly, just one of the coolest experiences of my life. Never really going to fully comprehend that he was able to win, you know, Masters number five and Major number 15. So what did you do? So we just heard about, another guess we had who was on 16 as well the roar how loud it was all that
Starting point is 00:47:02 what did you do after he finished 16 did you run towards 18 uh that's what we were thinking about doing but i mean it's just there were so many people around 18 and there's no stands obviously so it's like 10 heads deep you know 10 rows of people
Starting point is 00:47:18 but uh we we caught the back of 17 t saw him stripe that drive and we kind to cross the second fairway and you can look up, and, you know, the one thing about Augusta that'll say that TV doesn't really do it justice is, you know, the amount of elevation change that that course has and how hilly it is. I mean, 18 looks like Mount Everest when you're on the second fairway. It's so high up.
Starting point is 00:47:44 And so we just saw the crowd and Tiger was walking up 18th Fairway, and it was just like, it was so cool. What was it like interacting with other fans? Was everyone just like all giddy with each other and like high-fiving each other and shit? Oh, yeah, because, I mean, there's no phone. So it's like, you know, at your average tournament, everyone's holding their phone, they're screaming and all that. But, you know, at the Masters, there's none of that, really. It's very respectful, which is funny because I know, I know J.T. made a comment earlier about American fans, and you guys, you know, gave him a little shit for that when he got on the show.
Starting point is 00:48:19 But it really is, it's a very just classy tournament. You know, we were talking with guys around us asking, you know, who was doing what. I mean, we were, so when we were behind 16, we saw Molinari on 15, and you couldn't even tell that he put it in the water. So we're all kind of guessing ourselves, like, what happened. I mean, we saw Tony Fienow stuck it, but, you know, everyone was really unsure about Molanari and Patrick Cantley was making a charge. That's awesome, man. Patrick Cantley actually, you know, underratedly got screwed over by the Tiger crowd. I know that's a part of the Tiger effect.
Starting point is 00:48:55 but I mean people were getting pretty loud when he hit that T shot on 17 I'm not really sure where it went but I know that he drops in shots coming down the stretch and he had that he had a really good shot at winning that tournament yeah a lot of people don't realize like 17T is right there um you know by 16 green and 15 green so you can't really like if anything is going on in either of those greens in the back of your you know your back swing it might fuck with you oh it definitely messed with him You got true That's awesome Well hey
Starting point is 00:49:30 Awesome experience Way to really persevere there Way to go through a lot To make sure that you went to the greatest masters In forever Oh I mean when I saw that video Of Tiger hugging his kid And then his dad
Starting point is 00:49:41 I'm not gonna lie I shed a couple tears I mean I'm a huge tiger fan I also I was there at East Lake Walking down 18 with him So you could say I'm his good luck charm And away
Starting point is 00:49:51 You're a good luck charm Yeah very much so You better get your ass to fucking Beth page buddy. Oh, I'm going to try. I'll give you a free meal Perales if you make that happen. Temple Beach would be a cooler
Starting point is 00:50:06 trip, but I mean, I like a little knock on. A little bit. Just a quick little jab. Yep, just a quick one. I mean, I am for Boston, so I'm not going to shy away from that. Long Island stinks.
Starting point is 00:50:19 Oh, fair. Stick with it. Don't coward Frankie Barrelli, the pizza maker over here. Playoff hockey. Playoff hockey. All right, Ben. Thanks for the call, buddy.
Starting point is 00:50:27 We appreciate it. Awesome experience. Thanks, man. See you, pal. All right, see you. Thank God he made it to that. Imagine if he didn't. Good effort.
Starting point is 00:50:35 So going back to the Uber thing, I thought the algorithm was smart enough for drivers that, like, if I didn't want to interject him to interrupt his story, so I let him continue on, but now I want to finish with this. So if I get an Uber ride from here, it's a two-hour drive,
Starting point is 00:50:48 I thought the algorithm was smart enough that we would try to find him trips to take him back to about where he started. And I've asked drivers about that and they say yes. Yeah, but not if you're out of zones, right? He's like in a different state. Right.
Starting point is 00:51:01 So you're saying outside zones, the algorithm stops. Especially in New York City and Long Island, there's two different zones. You need to have a New York City license to drive a New York City license car and, like, pick up people in New York City, right? So it's not overpopulated, people getting picked up. Maybe it's big zones down there. You don't know the zones down there. Yeah, we don't know about the zones. That guy also brought us something interesting with Apple, his dad had an Apple watch on, like, at the golf tournament.
Starting point is 00:51:22 And he can just, like, text your friends that way. I've gotten a million questions about that. hey, can you have a smart watch in there? I've been like, I don't know. The answer is yes. So the answer is yes. You just can't have a phone. That guy was like, you sent him my dad was sending me vague text messages.
Starting point is 00:51:34 And I was like, he cracked the code. He broke in. Obviously the phone thing, I guess, is for cameras and stuff. But like, a large part of it is like, I don't know where anybody is. Like, if you get split up, you're like, we got, you have to have predetermined meeting places. Yeah. If you get lost. But if you just all have Apple watches, you'd be zipping around and everything.
Starting point is 00:51:53 Do you think August, National just doesn't know about. smart watches. I know they don't know about smart watches. You know what this reminds me of? I know for a fact they don't. Don't you need to have your phone on you? Apparently not. Because that guy was saying his dad had one. True. This reminds me of that Bill Burr commercial where he talks about Bill Burr makes fun of this Dill Cell ad where they can't find their kid. Do you know that one? Nope. All right. So there's this ad that came out about Dural Cell batteries.
Starting point is 00:52:17 And basically this mom takes her kid to the park, right? The kid like gets lost and she you pull something out of her pocket and just like hits a button and then it basically geo like it locates where the kid is and the kid's buzzing and Bill Bird has a very funny spoof on it it's very, very good but it's technology to locate people. Jake said he's got an answer
Starting point is 00:52:38 for the iPhone's watch thing. Yeah no there's like Apple Watches you can buy Apple watches that have LTE and built in them for like people who go on like long runs and don't want to have their phone on them so like they can track their runs and all that kind of stuff. Wow. Okay. Cracked the code. Highline Wellness

Starting point is 00:54:57 com today. See what you have been missing. That's Code Tiger 20 for 20% off. Let's go to Bryce in Alabama. Bryce, how did you watch Tiger Woods win his fifth green jacket? I was there on Sunday. I love it. That's heroic.
Starting point is 00:55:16 Jealous. Yeah, it's pretty sick. hole 11 he hit unbelievable opener and we all agree with you pretty sure that's dead on yeah that sounds right uh yeah how did how did you how'd you see it happen where were you what do you mean you know like what what what holes were you posted up by what would you this is we i mean we just followed we just followed him because we figured there'd be no getting close to the hole so he just wanted to be in the atmosphere you know and it's pretty cool I got close to him on hole 11 And he hit it in the trees, you know?
Starting point is 00:55:53 Oh, yeah. Yeah. And he got up there like five minutes ahead of his caddy and didn't say a word for all those five minutes, and his caddy got up there, and then didn't even say a word to his caddy and just hit the shot. It's kind of interesting. What I'm wild.
Starting point is 00:56:12 You're telling me there was no conversation on a shot on 11th and the green. I'm amazed by that. He said, his caddy said 163, and that's it. I swear God. I actually love that. That's breaking news, Bryce. It's breaking news.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Nobody knows that. No, I'm not lying to you. If you would have said something, I would have probably fainted. It had been so amazing. So he's just in the right trees. He hit that little draw around the tree to like the left pin on 11 with the water everywhere and all that. And all Joey said was 163. I'll be honest, Bryce.
Starting point is 00:56:53 You're electric. So electric. That's fucking awesome. I just love your delivery. So then you just chased him around all day? I mean, you just followed Tiger like it was not a problem? Oh, it was a big problem. It was, there are people everywhere.
Starting point is 00:57:07 You couldn't get close to them, really. That makes a lot more sense. It makes a ton of sense. Yeah, that makes sense. So what did you, where were you when he hit the shot on 16 and everybody's going crazy, huge, loud roar? Were you, like, running up, you know, 14, trying to get close to him, but you couldn't? or where were you?
Starting point is 00:57:25 We were by 17T, which is like up the hill. And I like jumped in the air right as the ball was on the green. I was like, oh, my God, that might go in. And how close was it? Like six inches or something? Incredibly close, Bryce. Oh, my goodness. That's great.
Starting point is 00:57:45 Look. We're a legend. This is, what did you do afterwards? You go out or something? I just want to hear you talk more. Well, I'm 17. so no, I didn't really go out. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:57:56 You just celebrate it. I mean, you're 17. Now you've got the greatest sports moment that ever happened in your back pocket. We don't have that. We're very jealous. I know it. Where are you from? Alabama, like southern part of it.
Starting point is 00:58:08 Are you a roll-tide guy? No, not really. More of an Oklahoma guy. Okay, cool. I mean, why? It was sick. I mean, my dad went there and it's a good school, I think. I think, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:24 Perfectly good reason. I've never been there. Making a lot of sense. It makes a lot of sense. Simple to the point. I love you. All right, Bryce. Bryce, you had an awesome.
Starting point is 00:58:32 This was an awesome call. This was great. I think it went pretty terribly. No, it was dead serious. No, I'm dead serious. This call is phenomenal. Okay. Anything else you want to share?
Starting point is 00:58:43 You guys are awesome. Anything else you want to share? I appreciate that. Huge fan of the show. Thanks, man. I appreciate it. Thanks for listening. You're the man.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Thanks for calling in and cherish that one forever. Yeah, that's an awesome one. All right, bye. See you, man. I love that kid. I feel like he was a little doubt on himself there. Yeah, I know. I think he felt like we were maybe making fun a little bit, but we love Bryce.
Starting point is 00:59:02 He was awesome. Loved everything about him. I was just laughing quickly because I just love the way he delivered his points. So good. And then I think he took that as like maybe we were making fun. But that's not the case at all. He was just making me crack up. Yeah, you're like, how was it seeing that Sunday?
Starting point is 00:59:18 He was pretty sick. You're fucking right it was, Bryce. You're right it was. funny comment. It was pretty sick. It was awesome. I bet it was. You an Alabama fan?
Starting point is 00:59:28 No. No. Why not? Anything else? You like? Auburn fan? No. Oklahoma fan.
Starting point is 00:59:34 Why? My dad went there. Dang. Yeah. And he broke some news on the podcast. 163. 163. That's hysterical.
Starting point is 00:59:40 163. I can't even believe that. No words were spoken in what he says almost 10 minutes. Seems like a long time between shows. Well, I will say the other guys were dicking around over there. It's true. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:51 And Ari had to hit a little cut around the tree. which he hit an unbelievable shot. I can't remember where pheny was. So he probably was just waiting all day. And then, yeah, I don't know. He took the information of 163 and hit a good shot. Had a great shot. Great call.
Starting point is 01:00:04 Robert in Southern California, where were you when Tiger Woods won his fifth green jacket? So I was working that morning at a golf storm, and I can tell you that people weren't really demoing clubs. They weren't really hitting anything. They weren't asking the employees. please any questions they were just eyes were just glued on the tvs just watching tiger just the whole world consumed by it uh yeah it was it was pretty crazy because sundays
Starting point is 01:00:33 are usually pretty busy people coming in getting laughing at things before they go up for the rounds or coming in after the rounds wanting to try new club but none of that was happening uh what was the scene like were people anybody going crazy anybody annoying what was he you know was he like was he like messing people's brains up was it what was happening in your little shop there. So I was over, I was in the repair shop, minding my own business, just getting clubs ready for people to take home and play tomorrow the next day. But people were just staring at TV. It was relatively quiet. There was one lady, like right when the, right when the master's ended, probably like 10 minutes later, this older lady came up to me in the tour shop
Starting point is 01:01:18 and was asking me about wedges. She needed a new grip on her club. It was absolutely destroyed that's a whole other story um but she asked me like oh who won the masters like she's like didn't know what was going on she didn't see the 20 TVs around her that was all about that she didn't see all the people screaming and everything and so i said oh tiger won she's like oh no no no no no that can't be that's not good i was like i was really confused i was like what do you mean that's not good like probably the greatest golfer in the world is tiger's fucking one after yeah just just won after being basically on hiatus for 11 years from any major tournament.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Good point. Yep. Fair. And so she's like, I was like, I looked at her. I'm like, what do you mean? She's like, oh, no, I just, she's like, I can't believe he won. Like, that's not good. Like, what was the crowd reaction to him?
Starting point is 01:02:09 She's like, were they, were they accepting of them? I was like, yeah, they were accepting of them. Everyone was screaming. Did you not? Like, he hugged his kid and people lost their mind. They were yelling, tiger, tiger, tiger. Another great point. And so they're just, I was just.
Starting point is 01:02:22 utterly confused. I'm like, is she, does she, like, hate Tiger? Like, why is she hating on Tiger? Like, I'll admit, I'm not, I'm not the biggest. I'm not, like, you guys were your gung-ho Tiger 24-7. Like, I'm hot and cold on them. But I can tell you that on Sunday, I was very hot. I was all pulling for him.
Starting point is 01:02:42 Hot and bothered. Yeah. When Molinari dunked in the water, like, everyone in the store lost their minds. And not because, like, he messed up, but that gave Tiger his opening that he needed to slam the door shut. Yeah, lady, it's not 2010. What was that lady's problem? What was that lady's problem? What was her point?
Starting point is 01:03:01 Like, so I didn't really press the issue. I just didn't want to cause a scene or anything. So I was like, whatever. You're just repairing clubs. Yeah. I'm not going to. Lady, here's your wads. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Fuck right. There's a new grip. Off you go. Imagine you did cause the scene. It's like, excuse me missed. What are you talking about? She's like, there's a, like, there's a scene happening over here. He's like, I don't know, I didn't want to close this.
Starting point is 01:03:19 I didn't want to go down like a whole. like I don't want to deal with that. Everybody's been there. And so then, like, I went on the mic and told everyone like, yeah, I was just dealt with this lady that she was like, she was upset that Tiger one. Like, she seemed like she wanted to cause a scene. I was like, I was very confused.
Starting point is 01:03:35 So, like, our cashier, when she was bringing her out. She was going to the scene right now. Yeah, when she, she went to the register, to pay for her repair on her grip. Cashier asked her, like, so he's like, what do you think about Tiger winning? Like, totally nonchalant. Double down on the question?
Starting point is 01:03:51 Unbelievable. Yeah, doubled down on the question because she wanted to get an answer just as much as I did. And so she's like, oh, she's like, it's just not good for golf. Like, there's no way he could have won, like, on his own. Like, there must have been, like, other circumstances. People must have been, something must have happened where everyone agreed to let Tiger win. Like, it can't be, it can't happen. Like, she just, like, they let him win.
Starting point is 01:04:14 Like, they're like, there's no way he could have won on. There was a crazy person into your golf shop. That's what's going on. Yeah. Yeah, it was absolutely... She was a menace. Like, the tiger wronged her? Like, who is this lady?
Starting point is 01:04:26 It's Elyn. I don't know. It could have been her mom. Elyn's mom. It was crazy. But she was very upset. She thought it was... Oh, no, no.
Starting point is 01:04:38 That's impossible. Yeah. She was talking about, oh, there must have been, like, there must have been someone that paid off someone or something like that. And then she's like... And then she thought up, like, oh, the other thing that she brought up, which was even more.
Starting point is 01:04:50 Lauren saying in my mind was that Tiger should just retire. He's too old to play golf. How many opinions did you get out of this? Keep it moving, ladies. It's a $13. Let's go. Sounds like she caused the scene. She ended caused the scene. She did a little bit. But I was like, she's like, he's cold to play golf.
Starting point is 01:05:06 He should retire. He should give the he should let all the younger players come up and like take the spotlight. She made an address. She gave an address to the store. You only bought a grip, lady. Nobody cares about what you think. She grabbed the mic. She goes, I got something to say to all you. I have a scene to make.
Starting point is 01:05:22 Yeah, it was crazy. He's in the background. I didn't want to cause a scene. You know, I knew this is going to happen. Husbands in the car. It's like, Jesus, honey, just getting the car. Let's get out of here. Yeah, it was crazy.
Starting point is 01:05:33 And I was like, when my friend brought that up to him, I'm like, well, if that's the case, then Nicholson can't play, Polter can't play, Couture can't play, Watson can't play. These guys are all old. Like, they shouldn't be allowed to play either. You dealt with a lunatic, Robert. That's just what happened. I know. It's crazy.
Starting point is 01:05:50 world out there. Yeah, a lunatic who may be Mrs. Nortigran. There's a chance. I think it's an 80% chance. All right, Robert. Hey, man, way to battle through that. Way to not cause a scene.
Starting point is 01:06:03 That's good work. Thanks for calling it. We appreciate it. No problem. See, pal. Thank you, you too. It was crazy after actually, after we recorded the podcast on Sunday and after like everything had died down, I went out to dinner that night and we were at a, I was at a restaurant
Starting point is 01:06:18 with my girlfriend. one TV in the restaurant. And there's a couple behind me, an older couple. It looks like they were just meeting for, like, business, right? Like, they were in, like, business attire. It was a Sunday, which was weird, but they definitely were not, like, friends. They were just, like, meeting for... Maybe they were just traveling for work, and they just met this restaurant.
Starting point is 01:06:35 They were, like, struggling to make conversation, like, really struggling. And they're sitting right behind me and listening to everything they're saying. And, like, on the TV's, Tiger's being interviewed, and I hear the woman be like, he looks really happy, Tiger. He might, like, I think he might have won today. And, like, the guy was like, no, like, no, I would have heard about it. Like, no chance. I'm, like, I'm, like, foaming at the mouth of turnaround.
Starting point is 01:06:56 Like, he fucking did it. Like, I don't know where you two have been for the past, like, seven hours, but this fucking guy did it. And they're literally arguing. And, like, he convinced her that she, he didn't. He's like, you know, like, I would have gotten a text from, like, my buddies or something. He's like, nah, that must be, like an old one. And I'm like, and she goes, okay.
Starting point is 01:07:13 Like, okay. And I want to turn around. Did you cause a scene? No, I wanted to turn around and just have a scene there, Frank. No, but you do it. No, listen, so I wanted it. I was like, I was talking to Adam. I'm like, I got to fucking turn around and tell this lady that she's right, and he couldn't
Starting point is 01:07:26 be more wrong. Like, our Lord and Savior's back. Like, this guy just came down from the heavens and, like, this guy's just sitting here. And he's a non-believer. He doesn't think that this happened. It happened in front of my eyes. So I'm like, I'm about to turn around, about turning around. And he goes, well, wouldn't you know it?
Starting point is 01:07:41 I just got a text message. The guy won the damn thing. And I'm like, I literally looked across the table and I just give like a fist bump. I'm like, let's go. He's a believer. Big cheers to him. Where the hell are those people? Yeah, what are you doing?
Starting point is 01:07:53 How the fuck do you not know? They missed the Nance announcement on Saturday. They just missed everything. The tournament changed times. And that guy, he doesn't have any friends or good friends that they're going to text. Listening to their conversations, they were absolutely people that interact with humans on a daily basis. Like, they seemed like very successful. They were talking about high-level shit.
Starting point is 01:08:10 How do you not know that Tiger Woods did one them asses? The kind of high-level shit were they talking about. To be honest, I don't know all the fucking buzzwerewere. I don't know all the fucking buzzwere. words that they were saying but there was a bunch of i mean they were really getting into it you talking about just these dropping on people's convos huh yeah what are you supposed to do in that situation i don't you mean it sound like there's fucking you know they're making nukes over there no no they were talking about like people in a business like if this person was good enough to be
Starting point is 01:08:35 able to make this certain pitch they're going out to san francisco they got to sell sales they yeah but no like this person was like they're putting a lot of pressure on this one new person that's showing off a new product were you listening to your girlfriend here or was it no i was It was one of those were like everything. I just had a little tilt down to like a little on the corner. And I'm like everything. One year's taking everything in front. The other year's taking everything back.
Starting point is 01:08:58 And, you know. Nothing's going to the brain. Pretty good. Let's go. Michael in Los Angeles. Michael, how did, you know, where were you when Tiger Woods won his fifth green jacket? What's up, Brickie? How are you doing?
Starting point is 01:09:10 Doing well. I was actually in Cincinnati on the way back from Augusta. Oh, wow. So it was me and my dad. We had a little father's son trip. went out, we got to go to the tournament Thursday, played some golf in South Carolina on Saturday. But the cool part was, so it is Thursday now towards the end of the day.
Starting point is 01:09:28 We're sitting up on the 10th T. Soon after the Tiger finishes, and I look to my right, and I see Joey standing there. I'm like, oh, well, Joey stands there. I wonder who's coming out next. And sure enough, a few minutes later, Tiger prompts is up. So we walked with Joey goes, six balls, please. Joey tossed them six.
Starting point is 01:09:45 He sets down, like, three or four T's, about five feet from the cut. That's because he was not making anything within 10 feet that day. And I stood there. It was probably a crowded about seven or eight people. He drained 73, five-footers in a row. Didn't miss a single one. He was so nice to hear.
Starting point is 01:10:02 It's 73, five-foot puts in a row. No prison for Tiger. No prison for Tiger. None. No, and he was going between one-handed. He kept on checking his eyeline neck. And I was kind of quietly counting in my head because it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
Starting point is 01:10:17 Like every single one. is dead bender six at a time. And when he was done with 73, because I don't know why I picked that number, but 72 is the number, he tossed the ball to Joey and then just walks off the green. Come on.
Starting point is 01:10:29 It's unbelievable. But then he gets better. So I quietly kind of walk up to Joey, and I go, hey, Joey, if you listen to, I go, can I get a ball? And he kind of looks around, nobody's there,
Starting point is 01:10:40 and they just flings me one of the balls. So I now got a tiger bridge stone from the weekend that he wanted to go after that I'm going to put in a friend. Unbelievable Damn Oh Michael
Starting point is 01:10:51 What a trip you and your pops at That is awesome Very jealous What was that? I don't know I didn't know which word to go with So I just kind of What the fuck was that
Starting point is 01:11:00 It sounded like you ran out of air You just ruined this guy's moment No no no I'm sorry You ruined That was awesome What the fuck was that I got tied up with words in my head
Starting point is 01:11:11 So I just kind of went with a And then I didn't know where to go What was the high word Though I think awe was almost going to be an and then I was going to keep going, but I didn't have it. What a disaster. There's a fucking train. Well, some people miss, you know, I missed. That was a disaster.
Starting point is 01:11:25 Michael was just driving on the highway right now? Yeah, Michael. Driving or on a train. Probably in traffic, L.A. Wouldn't be allowed to. You in traffic? Yeah, I'm heading out of work right now. Yeah, I mean, it's L.A.
Starting point is 01:11:37 Everybody's in traffic in L.A. all the time. Exactly. All right, Michael. Great story. Oh, yeah, hit me. One more quick story? Yep. So it's Friday.
Starting point is 01:11:44 We don't have passes. So we're just kind of walking through Augusta. And we noticed that we feel like the tour trucks are. You know, they got the Bridgestone, the Nike, the PXG, and the tailormaid. So we kind of walk up and there's nobody there. So we just kind of walked into the tailor-made one, open the door. The guy in there was kind of like, who were you guys? But we just introduced ourselves.
Starting point is 01:12:04 We're walking around and we check it out. He's like, yeah, no problem. The guy's name was Wade. Call himself Taylor-made Wade. What a name? Right? Absolutely electric name. Taylor made Wade.
Starting point is 01:12:18 He goes, oh, Dustin Johnson. He said, yeah, DJ thinks he cracked his driver head, so he asked me to build him four new ones and send him over. Four new drivers? Not one driver, but four, exactly. And so we get to talk in, and eventually I ask him, so do you ever work on Tigers clubs? His response was, no, not really.
Starting point is 01:12:38 He gets that stuff done at his house. He can get everything done at his house. Anything he wants. Remember that? That's a notification. There's a notification. Anything he wants in the whole world. just gets it done at his house.
Starting point is 01:12:48 It's a compound. Do you think Tiger has a compound? It's a compound. Yeah? Yeah, you can call that a house. You call it a compound. I remember Derek Jeter had a compound. Yeah, these people have compounds.
Starting point is 01:12:57 In Tampa, he built a compound. That's when you know you got money when you're building compounds. Do you think you'll ever have a compound? No. No. I guarantee I never have a compound. What's the threshold? What do you need to have a compound?
Starting point is 01:13:13 You have to have separate buildings on the property. Wing, right? Right. I think you need a wing. I think you have to have three buildings on the property. Three or more. Three plus. Because if you have a house in a garage or something like a little, I don't, that's not a compound.
Starting point is 01:13:25 A massive mansion. A guest house and then like a pool house. That's a compound. You need a gate too. Three and a gate. It can't be just a driveway. Anybody can pull up. Three plus gate equals compound.
Starting point is 01:13:37 Also pretty long driveway. Pretty long fucking driveway. What do you think, Michael? What do you do you sit on this? No, a compound. You definitely got to have more than one building. And I like where you said there. You got to have a wing.
Starting point is 01:13:50 The wing is massive. Yeah. I think wing's a big selling point for everybody. You have someone that reach at the door and like, oh, guys, you're going to be staying in the guest wing? Yeah. You have your own bathrooms over there. Let me say this. There ain't a guest wing in something that's not a compound.
Starting point is 01:14:03 Correct. If you had a map for it, people wouldn't think you're crazy. Correct. That's a great fucking point. That's a really good thing. You think Tiger has a map of his compound? Yes. 100%.
Starting point is 01:14:15 Yeah. Yeah, for like new hires on his property, the initial handout is a map of the property. I'll tell you what, none of my properties are maps. No, I don't think I'll have people working at my house. You can stand in one part of my apartment and see the entire thing. My apartment, you can't even fully rotate. All right, Michael. Hey, we really appreciate it.
Starting point is 01:14:37 Unreal knowledge. 73, Puts. That's what it was? 73. Yeah, 73 in a row. And awesome. Thanks, thanks for always big fan of the pod. And a Frankie, go Islander.
Starting point is 01:14:45 Let's go. Wow. That might be the call of the day. Great stuff. That was a great call. Wow. I missed the part. How did he know that it was 73?
Starting point is 01:14:54 Was he counting? He was counting in his head, he said. Just from one? Like one? Yeah. Yeah, that's counting. Well, I know. But how do you think to start counting?
Starting point is 01:15:00 Well, I think when he makes like four or five in a row, you probably start going like, I think that was like five. Yeah. And then you just start counting. I thought he went there with like the predetermined like, I'm going to count every single I'm going to fucking count this shit. That's fucking two. That's fucking two.
Starting point is 01:15:14 One. Hey, Tiger, that's six. He made six, Tiger. I did like that. He goes, I don't know why he stopped in 73, but he just stopped at 73 and threw the balls of Joey and walked off the green. Yeah, you almost want to see that one through. You just want to keep going?
Starting point is 01:15:25 A hundred. Do you think 73 means something? No, I think he just was like. That's it. Yeah, I got it. He's like, it took 73, but I got it. I feel good about five feet now. I know it's locked in now.
Starting point is 01:15:36 Does that help your jail argument? What? Like that tiger was knocked in 73. No, it changes it in no way shape or form is the change. Why would it? I'm just asking. No, I know, but why would it? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:15:48 Okay. Well, no, I think, why would it? It's because it's like, a guy just not getting $70. Somebody else could make 73, the theory would be like, but that's somebody else's Tiger Woods. Totally. I think, like.
Starting point is 01:15:59 I see what he's saying. Right. Yeah. Whatever. Tim. Tim and Madison. Hey, how's it going, guys? Doing well.
Starting point is 01:16:09 How are you? What's up? I'm doing good. That's great. How did you watch Tiger Woods win his 15th? screen jacket. Yeah, so sitting under the Skywalk in Des Moines, Iowa.
Starting point is 01:16:21 Not the best way to do it, but you know. I disagree. It sounds perfect. That is a compliment. I did. I thought we were going to bond over that, and then you rip the rug out from under me. Hey, it wasn't the fact that it was Iowa.
Starting point is 01:16:36 It was the fact that I was, like, sitting in a freaking car watching it on my phone. Okay. Fair. Not the best, but, you know, I'll give Iowa You know, Iowa, it's all right. Iowa State, not all right. Yikes.
Starting point is 01:16:50 Wait, Iowa State, the college, is that we're talking about? Yes, that's what we're talking about. Yeah, that place stinks. That's partially why I'm calling in. So I play Water Polo. Nice. That amazes me. Waterpollos is an amazing game that I would never be good at, but man, it's impressive.
Starting point is 01:17:06 You see their feet kick underwater when they show the underwater game? Have you ever tried to just stay afloat? Oh, yeah. Treading water is a thing. Treading water is a fucking horrifying. The goalies crack me up. How do they say it? Just kick real high and get their arms off big.
Starting point is 01:17:18 They have to be the most strong people in the world. Yeah, it's great. Core strength is off the charts. Off the charts. I think it's the most difficult sports to play in the world. Is Waterpull the one in the show OC and stuff or the Waterpole guys are like the really popular guys at school? I've never seen OC. I have no idea.
Starting point is 01:17:37 We've really sidetracked. Did the OEC just got up and left the room? Did he just get him? I don't even think the OC. played in Iowa. I want to say. I believe that take is correct. The water polo guys were like the studs could totally be wrong.
Starting point is 01:17:52 Before he gets into a story. Do you think that water polo is the most difficult sport in the world? Boxing. I would say water polo is the most difficult in terms of notoriety. And that you get in return. Like out of the box, lurch right now what sport I would have the hardest time with. Passive water polo. It's not water polo.
Starting point is 01:18:10 What is it? I'm thinking. Buddy, you're singing straight to the bottom. I can swim a little bit. You can't try. I can't remotely the same thing. I can do the butterfly pretty well. You can't tread water like that, though.
Starting point is 01:18:19 I know you can't. You're a rock. I can do it with a swirl feet. I can kind of do it. You kind of just swirl. Nothing to hold on to. No, I understand that. It's water.
Starting point is 01:18:28 I swear to God, we will tie your hands behind your back and we'll put you in a pool. Before this interview's over, I'll think of a sport that I would suck at. Okay. All right. What's your story about watching Tiger Woods with the Masters? All right. So, obviously, you know, Masters, Masters weekend.
Starting point is 01:18:46 I'm currently a senior at UW Madison, and so I skip class Thursday and Friday, obviously, to watch the Masters. Hell yeah. And so I'm feeling pretty good going in the weekend, pretty confident that Tigers playing well, obviously, and so I'm comfortable that I have to play a few games on Saturday, not going to be able to watch everything, whatever. Find out, like, halfway through the day that the president
Starting point is 01:19:14 of our club is like, oh, like, Iowa State has a super easy path to, like, win the championship of this tournament, as if I care. Like, this is a spring league tournament for Waterloo in Iowa. Who cares? And so I'm like, all right, whatever. He goes down, talks to the head of this league and convinces them to switch around the tournament so that Iowa State has to play, like, a normal amount of game, the same amount of games as everyone else in order to get into this championship.
Starting point is 01:19:44 So it ends up, we end up having to play four games on Saturday. We play Iowa State at 6 o'clock at night on the second game of a back-to-back. And so I'm just like, this is stupid, can we just forfeit this game? Or like, we asked them to go to a running clock. This is where it gets good. So we're like, yeah, you guys want to go to a running clock, get this game over it? And they're just like, oh, yeah, sure, why not? And we're like, okay, sweet.
Starting point is 01:20:12 So we go, and then one of the rest comes over to us. Yeah, actually, guys, they said they don't want to do that. Well, at least have a little grit. I don't know, freaking tell us to our face that you're not going to do this. We get over it. The second half comes around. We just decided we're not going to play, essentially. So we set up like a three-on-three, where three of us are just staying on defense,
Starting point is 01:20:35 three of us are playing on offense. They end up, they want to call the game after the third quarter, which I was fine with because, You know, I had bars to get to. Anyway, Sunday morning, we hear from, we hear from these guys that are just like, they're complaining, complaining about how we bastardize the sport of Waterpull or whatever. And we're just like, okay, whatever. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:21:03 And we're just like, all right, we just, let's get this game over with, you know, Tiger's playing. I watched a little bit of Tiger in the morning, had to set my alarm. a little bit early. It would have been a lot better if, you know, it was an afternoon finish, but it is what it is. We play our game. We're, like, down, like,
Starting point is 01:21:24 eight to one in the first quarter or something like that. I'm a bit hungover. We end up coming back. We win the game with, like, zero seconds left. You guys are just treading water? Treaded water while hungover sounds. Oh, that was you were doing that. You're doing his thing.
Starting point is 01:21:42 He always has to get a pun in. I don't count that one. You know, you can't count that. Streaks gone. You know, we were down eight. No, I already had one today. No, you did. Yes, I did.
Starting point is 01:21:53 That was better than just do it. Just do it was unbelievable. That wasn't like, that wasn't a pun. Sorry to bore you with this story. But essentially, the Iowa State decides that we're not allowed to win our game because we bastardized the sport of water polo. So we have to play overtime. End up only getting to see Tigers' last three holes.
Starting point is 01:22:11 Good holes. Essentially, you know, everything works out. Fuck Iowa State. Love it. It's amazing. Wow. I love it. So fuck Iowa State.
Starting point is 01:22:23 That was kind of the theme of that. Yep. Yeah. I mean, fuck Iowa State. Tiger was one of the masters. Hell yeah. I love it. That's good takeaways.
Starting point is 01:22:29 That's great stuff, Tim. I would suck at pole vaulting just so you know. Yes. Yeah, you'd be terrible. Polting, I would be an absolute strength. Snap that stick right in half. I'd be a terrible pole vault. You'd get a foot and a half.
Starting point is 01:22:40 Yep. Yep. I'm crashing down. I've rewarded the lowest height ever recorded by someone attempting the pole vault. See, you could at least, like, I don't know, I feel like I could at least run and maybe learn how to, like, lift myself on the pole vault. Right. I wouldn't be able to learn how to fucking. You can't swim, but I, it's about cardio.
Starting point is 01:22:57 It's, I can't fucking, I would never be able to stay above. I'm picturing myself right now, like, just but in video footage of seeing me run across the screen, slam a pole into the ground, and the thing just bend to an outrageous way. Yeah. And it's going to do it. And it's going to be unbelievable. For the reason, I'm imagining, like, ballet music playing in the background. Is he, like, run towards the level?
Starting point is 01:23:23 All right, Tim, thanks for the call. We appreciate it, pal. Thank you. See you later. Thanks for calling. So we got a lot of emails, obviously, from people that were, like, I was at Augusta. And we also got a lot for people that were, like,
Starting point is 01:23:34 I was nowhere near Augusta. I was actually doing, like, a water polo tournament. And I thought it would be funny to throw a couple of things. That's a good one. That was a good one. That was good. Yeah. You were right, Riggs.
Starting point is 01:23:41 Season 2, episode 19 Seth was bullied by a water polo From the clouds What was that season two episode 19 You guys are crazy? That was saw out of nowhere I didn't know what the hell of Jake was talking about Me neither
Starting point is 01:23:55 I almost thought it was a fire alarm And we had to exit the building It's like there is smoke building I said in my head I'd go What the fuck had I been right about? Let's go Miller McKee In Asheville
Starting point is 01:24:08 Hey Yes, what's up, Reg? Hey, what's going on? How'd you take in the Masters? I actually worked down there for the week. I am one of the people you talked about on a previous episode of I take my week vacation from work. I tell everyone I'm going to the Masters.
Starting point is 01:24:29 I see them 10 days later. And this time is my life changed. How's your life change? Tiger Woods from the Masters. Bang. Wow. He's nailed it. That should be the course.
Starting point is 01:24:40 call. You should just hang out. That's an amazing call. He's knocked out. My life changed. Riggs set you up for a good answer and you just absolutely drilled a little meatball fastball. My life changed. How? Tiger Woods won the Masters. We agree. Hey, uh, what was your job down there? What are you doing?
Starting point is 01:24:58 I was working security. I was on 16 green most of the day. Do you? So I got to see 15 when Molinari chipped into the water. Your life did change. and then when he almost hold out on 16 I was worried four here we go again the people on the hill probably jumping into the water
Starting point is 01:25:20 what do you think would happen if Tiger Woods hit a hole in one on 16 to take a three shot lead this year because you're the security guy you're worried if people jump on the water I got to deal with that I mean green jackets won't like that no they would not like that oh they'd be looking to you for sure
Starting point is 01:25:39 Do you know the slide tackle guy? You guys in contact at all? We are not in contact. That was Georgia Bureau of investigation. That was not us. Okay. Wow. Hard, really a hard disconnect there.
Starting point is 01:25:53 Yep. People are running away from that person. How many internal meetings did they have post that the slide tackle guy? We did not have any luckily, but, you know, we don't have our phones, obviously, all day. So getting back to your phone when all your friends know you work security and that happens. blown up. Makes sense. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:13 There wasn't like an internal memo. Like don't slide tackle Tiger Woods. Did you get the memo? I mean, I don't think he did much wrong, honestly. Now, I am obviously a little biased in this. But it was soaking wet out there. As you said in the last episode, his knees already had grass stains. He had fallen numerous times.
Starting point is 01:26:32 She couldn't stay on his feet. How slippery was it out there Saturday as a security guy? slide? Well, none of us had any traction because Tuesday is when the course went bad on the outside of the ropes. When it rained Tuesday morning and they evacuated, then it kind of got nice and everyone came back. All the hills got very muddy.
Starting point is 01:26:57 So I've got a question for you. So what the viewer doesn't know is what that guy is potentially running towards, right? We just see this guy come from off camera sprinting through potentially slide tackles. Tiger Woods. But what would make a security guard act that way? Because what we don't know is why he needed to run when it looked like Tiger could easily just walk right back to the railway with no problem. Yeah, I'm not quite sure why he was running and why he was so close. He obviously had trouble getting through the crowd to get to Tiger. That was obviously problem number one and he just slipped and fell. I don't know why he was so close. He was not in a
Starting point is 01:27:35 bad area. My theory is he just basically told his buddy, he's like, his buddy, he's like, his buddy were probably chirping. I'm like, hey, you got to make sure you really protect Tiger out there. We want to see it doing the security when Tiger's around, and he saw the moment. That's a backfire. I'm going to run out there. I'm going to, like, I'm going to protect the hell out of this guy. All my boys are going to see it.
Starting point is 01:27:54 And next thing you know, he's just fucking slide-tack and tiger, and he's going to rip his ankle on half. Wild laugh by your friend. That's just so funny. That's the worst backfire all the time. Do you guys do, do you do like a big party Sunday night? I had fun Sunday night Now most of the people I work with are old guys And they don't like Tiger
Starting point is 01:28:15 So I heard a lot of Tiger hate But I was very happy Interesting Talk a little bit about that Yeah I haven't heard that like the demographic Of older people doesn't like Tiger Most of the people we work with Are old retired men
Starting point is 01:28:28 This is like their This is their buddies week Them and their buddies will go They work security at the Masters They hang out of Augusta National For 10 days And go drink in and eat afterwards and go back home afterwards.
Starting point is 01:28:44 Why do they hate Tiger? A lot of old people hate Tiger. Why do you think that is? Because it's like the people that are scared of LeBron beating Jordan, they're scared of Tiger beating Jack. That's fair point. I think that's right. I think a lot of our parents' generation are Jack's their guy.
Starting point is 01:29:04 They don't want to see Tiger beat him. I mean, I personally, I don't know where you all stand in this. I think Tiger now is officially the greatest golfer of all time. So I would have had to... I thought that beforehand, but now it's official. Yeah, so I have said for a long time that Jack Nicholas had the greatest career of all time. Tiger Woods probably played the greatest golf of all time. I think now you're getting to a point where you can really argue back and forth that Tiger Woods might be overall the greatest player of all time.
Starting point is 01:29:37 I think now you're at that point where you really could argue that. I think the gap when he was 11 years without a major game. major championship and it looked like he had kind of like spiraled his own career and his own potential down the drain and all that. You could argue very easily, I think that like, no, Nicholas is just better. He did it better all that. Now that Tiger has done this, he's come all the way back, all that he went through the lows all the way to this high, I think you very much could argue that Tiger Woods is the greatest
Starting point is 01:30:03 player of all time now. And his clear is not done. I told you all, I've told you all separately, but the first time you see the black and red at Augusta is magical. Just something about it in that environment. I don't know if it's contrasted against the Augusta green or whatever it is. There's no way it's the same shirt. There has to be a different shirt they pull out that week.
Starting point is 01:30:27 There's no way. Just if this is the Augusta one? It isn't. It blows. I've never seen a color like that in my life. It's true, man. I'm glad it comes out like that in real life, too. Frankie, why are you laughing like a lunatic?
Starting point is 01:30:42 I don't know. I'm like, that's just so funny. It looks that good in person. One hypothetical. All right. One hypothetical for you all. I like this. So Molinari's chip on 15.
Starting point is 01:30:56 It was 56 yards from the pen. Okay. If Frankie had the same chip 10 times. No. Straight. No. Is he over under 1,500 feet from the pen? Okay.
Starting point is 01:31:10 Oh, hold on. Run the numbers again? How many chip? Ten chips. Ten chips. Fifteen hundred feet, the over under. How many yards is that? Five hundred.
Starting point is 01:31:25 You went to Harvard, I didn't. 500 yards, so 50. Right? 500 times three, 1500. Yeah, 500 yards. Oh, 1,500 or 5,000? 5,000 feet. So, Jesus.
Starting point is 01:31:36 1,500 feet, so 500 yards. Right. You don't think I can get within 500. No, no, no, aggregate. So, he's saying aggregate. So of the 10 ships, so each chip would have to be 50 yards or closer. So, you don't think. you'd have to advance the ball more than seven yards each time to beat that.
Starting point is 01:31:51 Oh, he could scull it over. You could scull it over, but then he could be on the backside of that number. I think I think he could do it. What does the water count as if he falls in the water? I was going to say how many times are you in the water? I would say, I don't think he could do better than Molinari in the wall. Okay. I say water means it didn't go anywhere.
Starting point is 01:32:11 Oh, water's a zero. Then I'll just hit it eight yards each time. Could you do that? Yeah, I could do that. I don't think. On Sunday, the guy's... I don't think...
Starting point is 01:32:21 Well, I'll tell you this. I'll tell you this. I know he couldn't hit the green once. Not once. Not once. I thought he was to say how many times? How long was this call? Is this guy...
Starting point is 01:32:29 Minutes up? If you haven't seen... Riggs put out a great video, it's a chip video. What do you say? What he said? He said he waited for over an hour. All right.
Starting point is 01:32:38 Yeah, sorry about that, Miller. McKee. You're good. I'm Joe talking. All right, pal. Hey, we appreciate you having on. Way to hold down the fort there. Everything looked like everything was really secure on 16.
Starting point is 01:32:47 Yeah, 16 was safe as sound. We didn't have an East Lake situation, let's say that. Was that part of the memo? Did you get the memo? A little bit. Don't allow an East Lake situation? From what I can say, a little bit. I was curious about that, why? Because there could have been a situation like that on 18.
Starting point is 01:33:05 Oh, certainly. They put out a memo. If that happened, I don't think Augusta would ever have the Masters again. I really don't. They'd be like, y'all ruined your chance. Like the fans, like you ruined it. It's over. You'll never be back.
Starting point is 01:33:16 You patrons will never come back. We'll put on TV, but there will be no gallery. Yep, and you won't be able to see the first nine holes. Yeah. They could do that if they wanted to. Yeah, they could. It'd be rude. All right, Miller.
Starting point is 01:33:28 We appreciate the call, man. Way to hold down the fort. I bet 16 is going to be secure as shit next year as well. And, yeah, we appreciate the call. My pleasure. You all have a good one. Thanks, man, you too. You know what?
Starting point is 01:33:39 Good luck, Frank. If Nicholas is worried about his record, he should step up and start playing again. Just bring it out. You start trying to win golf tournaments again. Get on the senior tour? Do you think he can make a cut on the PGA tour? It's an interesting question. No shot.
Starting point is 01:33:53 The way he, those opening T shots, they don't look promising. I'll tell you that. Yeah, but I don't think he does any practice, you know? I know he doesn't. I don't think he has a shot. There's no way. And there's guys who were fucking fully capable of, like, swinging and being athletic. I would maybe think that would be more impressive than some of the majors.
Starting point is 01:34:09 If he made a cut right now? How old is it? It would be. Unbelievable. Didn't you have a whole one like last year in the part three content? But there's guys that are absolutely fucking ripping the wall. Yeah, there's no way. He's not going to rip it 3.10.
Starting point is 01:34:22 If he imagine. Like, Kisner right now could, like, miss a cut. That's a ricochet shot of Kisner, but on any given day because they can't miss a cut. Tiger fucking missed cuts. 100%. He just can't do. I just don't mean. I fucking need Nicholas out there.
Starting point is 01:34:34 I mean, he's 68 year old Tom Watson won the par three contests last year. How old is he? 68. No, how old is, uh, Jack? Like, what's Jack? 70. I want to say 76. I mean, Jack would be having to be ripping T-Lis drivers on every shot.
Starting point is 01:34:50 He'd have to be... 79. Oh, no way. No way. I mean, that's almost a ricochet shot of Jack. It's unfair. He couldn't make a cut, though. Look how old this dude is.
Starting point is 01:34:59 I'd be rooting. I'd be rooting like hell for him. If he teeted up, I'd be rooting like hell for him. This is an anti-Jack nicholas. I don't know if you remember that. No, no. We're not anti-Jack Nicholas. I mean, we said fuck Jack Nicholas.
Starting point is 01:35:11 Well, yeah, because we're a huge tiger guys, and we thought... This isn't the same vein. No, we're saying... In that situation, we were saying, we see that your goal here, Jack, is to obviously try to get Tiger not to break your record. We want that to happen, but that doesn't make us anti-Jack guys. We thought that maybe there was an underlying message, which we'd appreciate. Which we know that there definitely was. I don't think it's crazy to say that we root against Jack's, like, number.
Starting point is 01:35:34 Yeah. Correct. We root against his number, but I don't think that makes us anti-Jack guys. No. I'm not like I'm against Jack. I'll tell you what. If it came down to it, I would be. If I found out that Jack.
Starting point is 01:35:44 They're playing each other, yeah. Or like if Tiger's like... Which they, right now, it feels like they kind of are. Like, in golf terms? He's already done. Tiger ties him. I'm anti-Jack. Until Tiger went, like, I'm rooting actively.
Starting point is 01:35:57 But you're not rooting against anything. It's already there. That'd be like saying the leaders in the clubhouse. You're like, I'm actively rooting against that guy. It's like, oh, cool, dude. He's already fucking done. That's good point. You can't actively root against somebody.
Starting point is 01:36:07 I'll tell you what. If Jack was teased up. Semantics, so I'm thinking about Jack has, like, a hole. Like, I don't want him to end up being the guy who has the most majors. Like, I'm rooting against him. that. Yeah, but you're doing that because Tiger's, like, got to do it. But that's what we're doing for tigers.
Starting point is 01:36:22 Aren't you? Yeah, I would say. Like, it's like the Rangers, like, if the Rangers had already finished their season in game 82 and, like, no, but they're ongoing. The Islanders are trying to, like, surpass them. I'm not, like, I'm actively rooting against the Rangers by rooting for the island. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:36:36 See, I don't think you are. You're just rooting for the islands. Yeah, because, like, if Rory and Tiger were going back and back and they had the same amount, then I feel like you'd be rooting for Tiger and not rooting for Rory. You're pretty going to catch a specific person, though. It's not just... For a number, yeah. Like, to catch a number and a person attached to that.
Starting point is 01:36:51 It's not just, like, a number. It's Jack. And you have to deal with people like my girlfriend's dad who doesn't respect Tiger because of Jack. So, like, I am anti-Jacker in some point. Like, I have arguments about it. Do you fucking hate Jack, Nicholas? Oh, no, I just want...
Starting point is 01:37:03 I hate those mind games that he's trying to play with Tiger. Yeah, I do. There was another one today. There was another one today. Yeah, there was another one today. Jack Nicholas effusive in his praise for Tiger Woods. I was very happy for him, and I was proud of him. He's proud of him.
Starting point is 01:37:15 If Jack tees it up tomorrow at the RBC Heritage, are you rooting for Jack? What? If Jack tees it up tomorrow at the RBC Heritage, do you tune in and are you rooting for him to make the coming? Oh, yeah, because tigers at his compounds, I don't know. You know, one way we could settle this whole Tiger Jack thing. How's that? Rough and rowdy. Rough and rowdy, baby.
Starting point is 01:37:33 Wow. I mean, I think we know how that one ends, but you never know. You think? Jack's got, like, old man strength. Yeah, he was born with old man strength. That's grandpa strength, though. Right. Tigers is in the old man strength.
Starting point is 01:37:45 Now it is, but we're saying like, we're not saying like 80-year-old Jack fights 40-year-old tiger. We're saying like Tiger in his pride fights Jack and his pride. So, oh, okay, that's what we're saying? Wow. All right. Because I was even going to say, when year would Jack have been born, 70, 79 right now? I don't know. I can't do math on that.
Starting point is 01:38:02 But, like, I feel like you grow up during those years. The 1940s and all 1950s and 60s. I feel like you're a pretty tough mother effort. Yeah, and I think Jack, he's just a big bear. Am I right? Is he gold? He's a big bear. You took it too far, Lurch.
Starting point is 01:38:21 You took it too far. Well, it's behind the scenes. You know? Rough and Rowdy 8. Tiger versus a bear. Tiger versus a bear. Rough and Rowdy 8. Going back to its roots in West Virginia this Friday night,

It's just, it gets fucked by the schedule. No doubt about it. I mean, if that was like the player's championship, it wouldn't be that sweet. It's the week after the match.
Starting point is 01:39:43 just like nothing compares to the Masters. It's only Wednesday. I know. Oh, you're right. I keep fucking forgetting what day it is. We're all messed up because we did a whole work day on Sunday. Yep. That's what it is.
Starting point is 01:39:54 We're in the office all day long. Dude, I've been so confused about, like, not doing a podcast for two days when we usually do it. I'm the most confused person on what day. Oh, that's another thing I messed us up. That's what messed me up. We did it on like money. We did it and put it out on Sunday. We usually do it Monday night, put it out Tuesday.
Starting point is 01:40:10 So it was a big weekend. Tiger One. Things changed. All right, folks. We will be back. on Tuesday of next week. What did you? What?
Starting point is 01:40:17 I said, yep. Awesome. Why are you guys being so weird? Yeah. Why you mean so fucking weird? Weird about what? Just like awesome. I didn't say awesome.
Starting point is 01:40:26 I didn't say awesome. 10 minutes ago you couldn't laugh correctly. Yeah, you were going. Well, this bike is hot. Like this, I was like giggling. You sound like butthead and beers of the butthead. I was giggling. He's been weird.
Starting point is 01:40:37 He's the one that said awesome. You're doing a lot of this stuff with like the highs and a lot of. A one. We won the Masters. I got a green jacket on. Tiger said, yeah, buddy. People misspeak. I misspoke.
