Fourth Reich Archaeology - #106 - Red Scare 3.0

Episode Date: July 24, 2026

This week we’re back in the hellworld of 2026 where the US government has launched the greatest (if dumbest) crusade against communism in over half a century. We dig into the historical roots of the... latest iteration of the red scare and cover the landscape of current anticommunist action from the Trump administration. In particular, we examine how (and why) a generation of anti-Muslim and anti-Arab discourse developed in the global war on terror has been repurposed to put communists back in the crosshairs of the state. Spoiler alert: the line goes straight through Palestine. We then take a survey of some of the latest outrages that have come out of this administration in the name of anticommunism, including the further demonization of Cuba by the State Department and the persecution of Fergie Chambers. Will this overreach finally spur some resistance? We consider the question, and much more. Dig in!www.patreon.com/fourthreicharchaeology Email: fourthreichpod@gmail.comSocials: @fourthreichpod

Starting point is 00:00:00 Patriotic Americans believe in freedom. And unless we are willing to take arms to defend our heritage, we cannot call ourselves patriotic Americans. To be free. The science that our freedoms are being threatened and that the world must be made safe for democracy. The late C.J. Reed of Portland, who has witnessed this war firsthand. And I, for one, see no reason why we here at the liberal club
Starting point is 00:00:57 shouldn't listen to what Jack Reed has to say. It's not something that's just confined to England or France or the United States. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. So it's one huge complex or combine. Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists. And this international power structure is used to suppress the masses of dark-skinned people all over the world and exploit them of their natural resources. We found conspiracy, foreign or domestic, the Warren Commission of Science.
Starting point is 00:02:15 I'll never apologize for the United States of America. Ever. I don't care what the facts are. In 1945, we began to acquire. We showed that there were two wars going. His job, he said, was to protect the Western way of life. The primitive simplicity of their minds when there's the more easy victims of a big lie than a small one. For example, we're the CIA.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Now he has a model. He knows so long as a die. Freedom can never be secure. It usually takes a national crisis. Freedom can never be secure. Pro Harbor. A lot of killers. You get a lot of killers.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Why you think our country's so innocent? This is a CIA. This is Fourth Reich Archaeology. I'm Dick. And I'm Don. Welcome back. everyone welcome to our show our humble little podcast that we as two noided lawyers do in our part time in the wee hours of the night on the weekends when we aren't doing our day jobs welcome welcome welcome we have a wonderful new episode in store for you today we are so glad to have you here with us and just very quickly at the top of the hour i want to say thank you Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of our supporters out there. Thank you to everybody in our
Starting point is 00:03:55 Patreon family. Thank you to everyone who tunes in week after week and likes the pod on whatever platform it is you're listening to us. Please, if you haven't done so already, please give us a five-star rating or whatever the maximum likes can be on the platform on which you are listening to us. and please write something nice in the comments because we do not rely on any form of search engine optimization, any form of ad revenue, any form of PR or marketing that all these other podcasts have to get the word out. No, we rely on you each and every one of you to spread the word and to get our programs. program out to the masses. So please, if you have not done so, write something nice in the comment section of this episode and your boys will be forever grateful. We are on social media. We are on Twitter and Instagram. Our handle is at Fourth Reich Pod. And we do have an email.
Starting point is 00:05:11 I say it a lot. I can't believe they've given us an email. At least for now, we have. have an email account and you can reach us at forthrightepod at gmail.com. We look forward to receiving correspondence from each and every one of you out there. We will respond. I mean, I think that we are actually pretty responsive. It's really just Don and I monitoring that email account. So if you write us, I will bet you dollars to donuts that you will get a response. We strive to keep a response rate that is in honor of our 38th president, the accidental president, Gerald R. Ford.
Starting point is 00:05:56 We try and keep up with his pace, but it's hard because, as many of you probably know out there, the president of the United States, Gerald Ford, he would strive to respond within 24 hours. if not the same day, then by the next day, to all correspondence. I think at least when he was in Congress, I don't know if he kept that up when he was in the White House, but nonetheless, we are doing our best to get out, get the word out to everyone. So please write us. We would be glad to hear from you,
Starting point is 00:06:31 and we would be glad to respond to you. This week, we are doing something new, doing another sort of one-off episode. There's a lot going on in the news these days. And in case you haven't noticed it, it seems like to me, I don't know what it seems like to you, Don, but it seems like we're maybe in the midst of another red scare.
Starting point is 00:06:58 It seems like the stuff in Venezuela earlier this year has cooled down. The stuff in Iran is no longer enough to get the government's attention. attention. Now, no, they're focusing on. Or it's just going so horribly wrong that they don't want people to pay attention to it. That might be the real reason. Yeah, totally. Exactly. Iran didn't go out the way they wanted it to. And so now what does the administration do? It does what it does best. And that is to distract, to deflect, to pivot, to get our attention on something even more extreme, even more nuts out of there, crazy. And, you know, this time, I got to say, they are really outdoing themselves because, at least in the last couple of days, Don, I mean, you sent me some videos.
Starting point is 00:07:48 I saw some videos myself, so particularly I'm thinking of the talk that Marco Rubio did in that. What was that even, was like the ministerial of new political terrorism or something, some summit that they were having at the State Department? Yeah, ridiculous, ridiculous. ministerial on the resurgence of political terrorism was real rolls off the tongue title that they came up with for their little fascist gab fest yeah and i love in that one he was like marco rubio gets up on the podium he's like we got everybody from the administration here and his headliner was cash patel followed by followed by Linda McMahon, the Secretary of Education. So it's like, it's even dumber and more hysterical than anything,
Starting point is 00:08:43 any sort of red scare that has come before, right? And it's like, perhaps worst of all, it's like not even apparently in any form of like organized manner, right? And even today, if we're thinking of the left, right? There really is no organized,
Starting point is 00:09:01 so-called communist party or left-wing faction to justify this sort of crackdown. So it's actually quite silly, right? Yeah, it's beyond absurd. You know, the only thing that's, you know, worth paying attention to about it, normally it would be the type of thing that's like, don't even give it any oxygen, pay it no mind. These people are unsurious. They're ridiculous. they're fools, they are utter ninkum poops besides being evil to their core. Well, the fact that they happen to control the government, and beyond that, really the fact that we have an essentially compliant Democrat party that refuses to take any sort of a meaningful stand against what the administration is doing
Starting point is 00:10:01 in its red scare because as always, as it always has, the Democratic Party is want to distance itself from the object of the right wing and fascist scorn so as not to be conflated and mixed up with these far left boogeymen that the right wing and that the administration are out hunting. And so, you know, is, we thought, worth doing an episode on this, for one, because there's such a vast breadth of both tactics and targets of this third red scare that we're all observing. And two, it can have the effect of simply stifling and silencing the type of dissent that might fairly be lumped in with what this administration is identifying as criminal speech. And so, you know, as we've said many, many, many times on this podcast, right, there still is a
Starting point is 00:11:17 constitution. There still are protections, at least theoretically. You do see the success in some cases of people resisting the jackbooted crap. on all freedoms available, those left to us after the whittling away of so many of our supposed freedoms since, especially since 9-11. And, you know, as we sit here today, obviously Dick and Don here talking at you with a self-described communist podcast, well, we're right in the crosshairs. You, listener, are right in the crosshairs as soon as you hit play. unless, of course, you are doing so wearing your little FBI jacket and your federal government-issued specialty headphones,
Starting point is 00:12:11 and you are listening to this for crack-down purposes, in which case, please go to the nearest electrical outlet, lick your fingers, and shove them as far in there as you possibly can. Just asking that as a favor, because we want to find out what happens. You can email us after. Jack Ruby style. Yeah, yeah. See if the Jack Ruby headbang against the wall technique actually works in the year 2026 because nobody has tested it for a while.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Please, you could be of so much more use than spying on your humble, humble podcast hosts here at Fourth Reich Archaeology. But suffice it to say, we want to check in. We want to take stock as we like to do, and we want to share our insights with you so that perhaps just maybe they can be of some use as we all collectively face down this absolute clown show crackdown that is on offer from on high. What do you say, Dick? You want to say the old magic words? There's a small number of times in the history of America where the actual experiment in self-governance was on the ballot. The idea that we would preserve a constitutional republic, one nation under God, a government of buying for the people.
Starting point is 00:13:47 All that is in question right now. For the first time, really, in my lifetime, this is a real question the American people have to decide in November. In a mid-term election for Congress and Senate, The barbarians are in the gate. Last night I did a little, in a big group, actually, of VIPs that took a little on a tour. I don't get to do that very often anymore,
Starting point is 00:14:08 but took a tour of the Capitol, a quick one. We wound up on the House floor, and I pointed to them, as you may have heard me reference this often, I think of it a lot. Why did Congress put, in God we trust, above the roster of the speakers of podium there in the center of the house? It's inscribed in the marble, as you know. You can't miss it when you walk in the chamber.
Starting point is 00:14:29 It's the first thing people notice when they walk in at eye level and see it there. And I pointed out that in the Visitor's Guide to the House, it explains that. It says it was put there in 1962, and it says, in the Visitor's Guide, that's been published for many years, it said Congress voted to place that there as a rebuke to the Soviets because of their philosophy during the Cold War. What was the philosophy of the Soviets? It's what Carlos just outlined, the same philosophy of Cuba, the brutal dictatorship there that robbed him of his. childhood and so many countless others. They've lost their lives trying to flee from that brutal dictatorship. A.I. is, you know, a friend of mine once said that AI is fundamentally
Starting point is 00:15:06 a communist technology in that it allows governments and corporations to surveil people in very profound in different ways. And that scares me a lot. Like I don't want a social credit system that's powered by AI. I'd be, I'll be honest. I think I'd be the greatest communist in history. I'd give free rent. Ladies and gentlemen from now on you don't have to pay any rent from now on anybody wants the house don't worry about it just pick the house you want well of course they want to they want a packed Supreme Court and they want a unicameral legislature they want the house to run everything abolish the Senate because they believe the house would be run by Marxist communists they'll
Starting point is 00:15:47 be able to run the table and everything they want to remove the president what they also want to do is abolish all borders they don't want any borders they want mass amnesty granted to anyone who can come on to our shores without exception, even for terrorists and hardened dangerous criminals. Okay, they don't want prisons. It's in their platform. They want to remove the carceral state, they said. No prisons. They don't want to fund the police. This is not a game. Everybody needs to understand. These crazy little mini-momdani's who are popping up all around the country, they were a, they were a danger to you and your family. This is not a game. If they promise you free stuff, there is far more beneath those promises that even some of these people do not understand themselves. Everybody gets free food. Everything is free from this point forward.
Starting point is 00:16:31 As you saw with the communists elected in New York City recently, they're communists, and not social democrats. They want to completely destroy the traditional American way of life. Communism is very easy to say. It's not a coincidence that when you look at these violent Antifa demonstrations, you see any photograph of those who are assembled. To be blunt, not one of the people that is demonstrating looks like a normal person. Not one. It looks normal.
Starting point is 00:16:57 They're all deformed in some way in their appearance, in their dress, in their mannerism. Why is that? You look at two photographs and you see in a normal American street, you see an Antifa protest. Why do the people that are violently demonstrating, why is there not one normal looking person among them? The course of their life and their decisions has scarred their body and their appearance in many different ways to the point in which their outer appearance becomes a manifestation of their inner hatred. Trust your instincts to all people across all civilizations. You know what normal is.
Starting point is 00:17:46 You know what beautiful is. You know what good is. You know that families are right. You know that children are precious and beautiful and must be protected. You know that the criminal and the junkie and the predator is a threat to normal, healthy living. This is so much deeper than issues about taxation and regulation, although they're incredibly important.
Starting point is 00:18:09 important. It's about normal, healthy, ordered living. And the violent leftists, for these deep-seated reasons, going back to the earliest wisdom taught to us in the Bible, about coveting. And I'm not talking about rich or poor. I'm not even a much deeper kind of coveting. Coveting people who are morally superior, who are superior in the simple, truthful way they live their lives. This is what radical leftism is. It may wear various different slogans and ideologies across place and time. They can call themselves anti-capitalist or anti-imperialists or communist or anarchist or Marxist. But the fundamental character is always the same. It's always the same. It is a poisonous resentment cloaked in the language of equality and justice, liberation, an overwhelming need to tear down
Starting point is 00:19:04 what greater men have built to wreck what is beautiful and what is beautiful. And what is his right on behalf of people who are only filled with ugliness and have nothing else to offer the world. Through violence and through terror, they once again seek to impose their ugliness on all of us. The old dogma was wrong. The old dogma was wrong. None of this is driven by idealism. It is not utopian. In fact, it is the opposite. One of the criticisms you sometimes hear of communism, for example, is that it sounds good in theory, but it never works in practice. That's actually not true. Communism does not sound good in theory.
Starting point is 00:19:48 The world that envisions for all of us is small, flat, gray, leveled of all exception, drained of all that is good and noble in the human soul. The world that envisions is a world without courage, a world without creativity, or ambition. A world without heroes or glory or great causes to strive towards. Without a world without miracles. Without myths, without men who rise above the rest to do incredible and extraordinary things. Okay. So I think we should, as we often do, start the episode with a little bit of a history lesson,
Starting point is 00:20:48 a little bit of a crash course in the subject matter of the day before we delve into the topic of the day. And I think it's important because our man, Mini, Marco Rubio himself, he caught himself during this speech that he gave at the ministerial on new political terrorism. He said, you know, and you'll see like the bulk of what we're talking about today is about how this is a resurgence of the Red Scare, right? They're revisiting this idea, this like new McCarthyism and blacklisting and all of that. And during his speech, he goes, we're talking today about an unprecedented issue. And he catches himself. He's like, well, I shouldn't say unprecedented issue. I mean an unprecedented moment. Because really, this is an old playbook, right? This is a playbook that I think started in the United States,
Starting point is 00:21:45 at least at the turn of the century, right? The turn of the 20th century, you know, going from the late 1800s into the early 1900s and really did pick up, obviously, in the middle of the 20th century, the idea of this red scare and all of that. But I wonder, Don, maybe if you can start us off by giving a little bit of a 20th century crash course of sorts on communism in the United States and where this all started. Yeah, I mean, look, I don't think that we're going to derail things. too much for a full-on deep dive here, but simply to note, in order to substantiate the assertion here that, in fact, throughout the 20th century history of the United States, there have been moments
Starting point is 00:22:40 when political dissent was coalesced enough, was organized enough, and was composed of desperate enough people, militants, that there was, in fact, fear on the part of federal authorities that there could be some sort of revolutionary movement that could topple the existing order, that could seize the means of production, and that could otherwise screw up the bag for the American capitalist ruling class. So the first one of these real red scares came right after the Bolshevik revolution in Russia in 1917. And this is a time of course when there were many, many southern European and Jewish immigrants in the industrial urban areas of the United States. they were joined by the great migration of black Americans from the south that were filling the cities in great numbers around the same time.
Starting point is 00:23:54 And all of these people were both on the basis of their race, ethnicity, language, and class position being discriminated against and being horrifically exploited in their labor. And so the organizations, the sort of, if you see the movie Reds, right, it gives a pretty good illustration of what was going on because this is a time, remember that World War I is going on, the sort of depravity and insanity of the global ruling class is on full display because they're just throwing all these young men into the meat grinder for no apparent reason. and the people are starting to understand that they must depend only on themselves if they are to shake off these chains of enslavement by another name that are being wrapped around them by this death cult of capitalism. So the first Red Scare really pops off with Attorney General Mitchell Palmer and his, trustee deputy, a very young Jay Edgar Hoover, fresh out of the Southern Revivalist
Starting point is 00:25:18 Kappa Alpha fraternity at George Washington University, where he cosplayed as a Confederate in his youth. And, you know, they really went after the Reds. They deported tons and tons of people on the basis of political ideology. Famously, they deported Emma Goldman and many others who had shown sympathies to the communist cause, to anarchism, to any of these anti-system movements. And, you know, this only really starts to subside when the 1920s come along. And a more redistributionist approach is taken for some. some of that largesse.
Starting point is 00:26:07 There's a doubling down of racial division sewing among the working class, and eventually we get to the Great Depression and we get to World War II. It's only after World War II that the second Red Scare comes along, really first kicked off by friend of the pod Dick Nixon, and his persecution of Julius and Dethel Rosenberg, and his persecution of Alger Hiss, working with the Senate Committee on Investigations, and that, of course, spawns into McCarthyism writ large
Starting point is 00:26:48 and all the blacklisting and all the crackdowns and all of the witch hunting that roiled both the culture industry, the political scene, and labor organizing. Meanwhile, of course, the powers that be were also working covertly. While this was all sort of taking place on the level of spectacle and was being broadcast into American homes, covertly, the CIA, then fledgling organization, was infiltrating organized labor in the U.S. and was already working on false flag operations. and international subterfuge alongside Hoover and his co-intel pro that really destabilized,
Starting point is 00:27:42 infiltrated, divided up, and destroyed any remaining semblance of an organized left that had survived the extended first red scare of the teens into the 20s and 30s. So what we're left with today is really nothing in terms of a communist party or a major left-wing political formation. And the false flag ops that we have covered so extensively on this show that were popped off during the Cold War, well, those evolved under the banner of terrorism into the, concern with terrorism best embodied by the project for a new American century, developed by Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, and their neocon cohort. And after the Cold War, it's really been PNAC all the way down, the war on terror as the governing principle for government crackdown on
Starting point is 00:28:51 dissent and this is sort of the scene onto which the Trump administration, both the first one, but especially the second one, has stepped to wield its heavy, long, and well, I would say sharp, but I think it's actually a little bit dull sword. Yeah, that's exactly right. And so, you know, the project for a new American century and the post sort of 9-11 world, the focus was, of course, on radical Islam, right? The focus was more of a cultural war on the religion and people that followed the Muslim faith, right? And they used that as the target.
Starting point is 00:29:41 And now it seems like there's this play to, of course, never forget that, you know, let's say put them on the shelf, right? you're putting radical Islam on the shelf because that's no longer the hot ticket. And now it seems like the focus is more on this ideological target of this quote, new left, right? The radical left, these communists that are here to destroy the American way of life. And we have what started, I think, in this administration, was the National Security Presidential Memorandum number seven, the one where they are targeting these new, I think it's like in the wake of these political assassinations, these quote political assassinations, right? I'm talking about Charlie Kirk. There's also the United Health CEO. And the Trump administration issues this memorandum, basically calling out domestic terrorism. And, and,
Starting point is 00:30:50 and painting it as this movement that is being pushed by the, quote, new left, right? These are democratic socialists or communists and largely like different factions, right? These are organizations and individuals that don't necessarily have any central organization or anything like that. for example, right, you hear the right talk about Antifa all the time as if it's this one organization. But that sort of idea of like targeting this group or formulating a group to target, that's taken the main focus of this administration in the last year. And then certainly in the last couple of weeks, it seems like it's really been picking up again. Yeah, totally. And just to underscore that point, right?
Starting point is 00:31:47 The whole notion, I mean, this is really the before and after of the fall of the USSR that I think many people either don't grasp at all or really underappreciate. Because during the Cold War, you always had at least some Communist Party, the bona fides of which were, attributable to recognition by actual existing communist countries. And in most cases, that was the Comintern, right? The Communist International of the Soviet Union. So the Communist Party USA, that was the prevailing, predominant Communist Party in the U.S., whose membership was astounding by today's standards in the 1930s, for example, right? That was an actual centralized, organized institution, an institution with members, an institution with bylaws, with official acts and activities. And today, there's simply no analog for that. Part of it is, thanks to
Starting point is 00:33:08 what I referred to earlier, the infiltration and, you know, destruction from within of all sorts of left institutions and formations by deep state forces. But part of it is due to the downfall of the USSR and the absence of any global communist movement. And in its place, you know, bears mentioning that, one, you have China ruled by the Chinese Communist Party that has no real measurable international communist agitation policies, at least as far as we can tell. Of course, the accusation is bandied about continuously, but that doesn't make it true. Like a point of fact, China is not out here trying to foment global climate. communist revolution. They're not even
Starting point is 00:34:09 rallying a boycott of genocide and the genocidal Amerisraeli. Same goes with Russia too, right? Yeah, well, Russia doesn't even pretend to be left wing. They're just a capitalist. Exactly. Exactly. But notwithstanding that,
Starting point is 00:34:24 there is this movement where they're like using Russia as this, or at least the hangover sentiments of like the red, the second red scare to foment a, ill will towards the Russians, right? And then they also do this thing where they sort of put Russia and China together in the same basket, right? And we'll talk about this in that report on Cuba in a little
Starting point is 00:34:49 bit, but it's like this idea not just that like Russia is a threat and China's a threat, but that maybe they're working together, right? Moscow and Beijing together are working as a threat. Right, with a hemispheric beachhead in Cuba to launch their nefarious. plans. Yeah. It's a fucking joke. It really is amazing. But then again, you know, these are people with decades upon decades of practice in not only lying on a mass scale, but of, you know, telling what Hitler referred to as Dave Emery so eloquently read in our intro music, right? He's reading from Mind Kompf when he says that people are more susceptible to a big lie than to small lies, right? That is the principle that we see at play here. And when I say these are
Starting point is 00:35:51 the same people, what I mean is that, again, this continuity tracing all the way back to the 1970s, you know, it's not for nothing that we picked Gerald Ford and that we picked the pivotal decade of the 70s as the central focus of our historical work on this podcast, because that is when the likes of the neocons, the folks that went on to make up the PNAC, got to work in propaganda and in planning for the eventual post-Cold War world where they would need some ideological substance to grasp onto towards a new. New Cold War. Even Noam Chomsky wrote a book that's, I think, a collection of essays. I remember I read it like in high school called Towards a New Cold War. And that precisely was about this process
Starting point is 00:36:50 whereby, you know, using things like a devotion to Zionism and a dehumanization of the Palestinians and their cause, the right wing grasped on. to this terrorism framing as a catch-all that could be deployed against any enemy. It could be deployed against Muslims. It could be deployed against secular African governments like Gaddafi. It could even be deployed against the communists, as we saw in the amazing saga, of who shot the Pope, Pope John Paul II, with that whole. whole charade where a Turkish fascist, Mehmet Ali Ajah, was cast as a Bulgarian stooly operating for the
Starting point is 00:37:49 communists. So the framework dates all the way back. And of course, terrorism is the perfect catch-all that has it right there in the name. It's terror. You, normie person, should be terrorized. You should be afraid. of whatever these terrorists are cooking up. And Dick, you want to talk a little bit about how this has transitioned? Like, obviously for you and I, millennials here, we grew up with the terror paradigm being deployed primarily against Middle Easterners, against Muslims, and Arabs. But now that paradigm is no longer adequate.
Starting point is 00:38:35 to actually mobilize people politically to the same degree. And it's not sufficient for the administration to achieve any of its political goals. So I think it bears a little further discussion of how we got here to this new Cold War from what seemed like the eternal dominant West versus the rest framework, this Huntingtonian, right? Samuel P. Huntington, the clash of civilizations narrative that I know I certainly grew up with and I think you did as well and probably many of our listeners too. Yeah, totally. And it's like I had said earlier, it's like, you know, we're not done with targeting quote radical Islam, right? That's, we're maybe putting that on the back burner. And even it's
Starting point is 00:39:30 probably still a part of the same recipe, right? Because the focus very much is this new radical. left and i think the reason for it is is that's what's percolating for the masses is this new movement of people that want a change in the structure that's inherent in the system of ours which has resulted in you know this concentration of wealth and power and really leaving millions and millions, hundreds of millions out to fend for themselves. And it's so funny how all of this stuff is sort of wrapped up and then, you know, they put a bow on it and superficially the target then becomes Cuba, right? But the idea and the target of the left really stems from things like the George Floyd protests, right? Standing up this idea of like wokeism, right,
Starting point is 00:40:30 being this bad thing, this terrible thing that has permeated all aspects of culture and has taken over Hollywood, right? Well, how come the Odyssey movie doesn't have enough white people, right? That's like what has become a sort of a charged point in the conversation. And it is capturing all this stuff, right? You're capturing defunding the police, right, or making major changes to the carceral state of the United States at the moment to things like labor organizations and unionizing and things like, you know, healthcare trying to get more Americans trying to get universal health care. And the way that the powers that be, and at least this administration, is addressing all of this stuff, all of these needs that the people, by and large, seems like
Starting point is 00:41:24 these are grass roots movements of people actually getting. together and standing up and organizing for a cause, whether that would be, you know, reformed to policing or would be labor organization or would be health care, it would be, you know, the student loan crisis or whatever. And what the powers that be are doing are saying, okay, all of these people, all of these people and those people in the media that are disseminating the information about these people and the people in the media that are out the corporate two-party news outlets and all of that, well, we're going to call them the radical left wing. And we're going to lay at their feet the political, quote,
Starting point is 00:42:13 political assassinations, right? This, the Charlie Kirk assassination for one, things like the United Healthcare assassination as well. We're going to lay at their feet those kind of things, right to get them that flavor of terrorists and then what we're also going to do is we're going to say and you see all of this this sort of vibe that they all carry well Cuba's to blame for that and Cuba's to blame for that because back in the 1950s Fidel Castro said it himself my revolution is never over I'm going to bring the war to the Americans and look out America look out all of you normies out there all of you people who know what's right and what's wrong because it's happening right now.
Starting point is 00:43:00 This is the end result of Fidel Castro's war on America because what they have done, what these Cubans have done is they have taken over the minds of Americans and they've breeded this culture of revolution right here within our borders. Yeah, I would add to that that it's particularly almost comical that the same sort of framework has been just glommed on to communism or left-wing extremism or whatever from Islamic terrorism. And what I find to be humorous about it is that the Islamic terror framing failed for a number of reasons, or at least it became impossible to continue relying on to the same degree that it was relied upon during the sort of height of the global war on terror. Right. So one of those reasons is, of course, just the utter failure.
Starting point is 00:44:17 and embarrassing failure of all of the wars of conquest and wars of aggression that were launched under the umbrella of the global war on terror. The Iraq war debacle, the Afghanistan utter failure that ended up handing the government back to the Taliban, the destruction of Libya and the resurgence of huge slave markets. in Libya in the vacuum created by the murder of Gaddafi and the dismantling of his government. And at the same time, throughout this cynical and hypocritical global war on terror, of course, the U.S. and Israel were supporting some of the most radical Islamists in the world the whole time, whether it's support for the Saudi regime and the Wahhabist fundamentalism that they enforce upon their population, the Gulf states to a lesser extent, or propping up ISIS and kind of using ISIS as an arm of their own policy.
Starting point is 00:45:41 and of course using al-Qaeda as an arm of their own policy, the culmination of which, of course, we see in Syria, where now President Al-Shara is himself a veteran of al-Qaeda and the very forces that were purportedly on the U.S. enemies list during this hypocritical war for resources that lasted 20 years, and really never ended, right? It's still going on. I don't mean to suggest that somehow that's totally supplanted
Starting point is 00:46:18 because obviously we also see with the failed war of aggression against Iran the same pattern playing out again, you know, demonizing and dehumanizing Iranian people and their leaders as some kind of like cave dwelling fanatic, when in fact we see with our very own eyes now, it cannot be hidden and it cannot be destroyed the technological and engineering prowess of Iranians on display, the political prowess of Iranians on display.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Like this is no longer the home turf, like the world is no longer home turf for American wars of aggression and the population to the extent that they're paying a, attention to any of this at all, to any geopolitical developments or foreign policy issues at all, it's a sort of, we've described it as kind of an indifferent opposition to whatever is going on, right? Like, there's very little vociferous support for the war in Iran. And if you ask most people, they think that it's bad, but they're not out in the streets
Starting point is 00:47:38 trying to stop it because, you know, the connection between the things that are getting worse in their life and the decisions of the government to try and wage wars on behalf of capital and on behalf of Israel, too, don't leave them out, it is not concrete enough at this point in time for people to really be mobilized. Of course, they're also massively distracted by all of the machines. of spectacle of mass surveillance that we all carry around with us in our pockets in the form of these phone machines. So I think that it's at least worthwhile to consider what was it about the demonization of Muslims and Arabs during the global war on terror period that kind of fizzled out.
Starting point is 00:48:38 What was it about that maneuver on the part of capital, on the part of the ruling class and the government that didn't work because we can learn lessons from that to apply to this new paradigm where, in fact, there's no physically identifiable or religiously identifiable characteristic of anybody that makes you a leftist, maybe blue hair? But even that you have your fucking blue-haired right-wing chuds out there as well. And you know, you're like lesbian Lockheed managers that are all tatted up and like the, I always think of my favorite CIA recruitment ad. I'm a woman of color. I am a mom. I am a cisgender millennial who's been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. I am intersectional.
Starting point is 00:49:35 but my existence is not a box-checking exercise. I am a walking declaration. A woman whose inflection does not rise at the end of her sentences suggesting that a question has been asked. I did not sneak into CIA. My employment was not and is not the result of a fluke or slipped through the cracks. I earned my way in and I earned my way up the ranks of this organization. I am educated, qualified, and competent.
Starting point is 00:50:02 And sometimes I struggle. I struggle feeling like I could do. do more, be more to my two sons, and I struggle leaving the office when I feel there's so much more to do. I used to struggle with imposter syndrome, but at 36, I refuse to internalize, misguided patriarchal ideas of what a woman can or should be.
Starting point is 00:50:23 I am tired of feeling like I'm supposed to apologize for the space I occupy rather than intoxicate people with my effort, my brilliance. I am proud of me, full stop. My parents left everything they knew and loved to expose me to opportunities they never had. Because of them, I stand here today a proud first-generation Latina and officer at CIA. I am unapologetically me.
Starting point is 00:50:49 I want you to be unapologetically you, whoever you are. Know your worth, command your space. Miha, you're worth it. I am a Latina with, I'm a cisgender Latina woman who's been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. We'll have to add that clip because that is an all-timer. But this is where we are now. Like you can't identify a communist, you know, other than arbitrarily based on some accusation that you back up with whatever the fuck you want. They even tried the black identity extremist category that, you know, shout out to all of our black identity extremists out there.
Starting point is 00:51:39 But, you know, you're off the hook for now. You're part of a bigger global left-wing terrorist network. Yeah, if you go by with what Steve Miller says, right, it's because you're able to identify these people because they look like freaks and weirdos, right? and he says in his he's one to talk right exactly it's funny the way he frames that one is because he goes
Starting point is 00:52:05 and you know people out there you know no matter what country you're from you know the type of person I'm talking about right they don't they've done violence on their body they've done they have tattoos and they have they've dyed their hair and they've got piercing and the harm that they've done
Starting point is 00:52:23 to their external to their body that That reflects the harm that is inside their soul, right? The communists, the lefties, they're the, they look like freaks, which, you know, like you said, he's one to talk. Yeah, this is coming from a guy who sat in the cuck chair and watched Elon Musk fuck his wife with his messed up robodick allegedly. Allegedly, allegedly. Others have alleged that that happened. Yeah. Allegedly it is a fact that it happened. But that's the thing. It's like, and think about what that means, right? It's like, if you don't look normal, then you're a communist.
Starting point is 00:53:10 Yeah. Yeah. It is truly like, it's so next level. It's so next level. But I think like maybe now is a good time to pivot to talking about the tax. that they're deploying besides just making really absurd ridiculous speeches. Yeah. And where do we start there, right? Well, of course, there is the National Guard deployments that happened in 2025, right? It was like early on in Trump 2, where the president took his focus and laid it down on the so-called anarchist jurisdictions, right? the cities throughout the country that tend to have a left-leaning point of view, a anti-Trump point of view.
Starting point is 00:54:05 And that really popped things off in this administration. That, like, started it all is this idea of having jackboots on the ground to bring law and order back to these cities that, by all accounts, didn't really have any serious issues, right? Like despite all of the noise and all of the scary words that Donald Trump was sort of putting out, it wasn't like places like D.C. or Austin or Portland. It wasn't like these were terrible places to live by any measure, right? Yeah. I mean, I will never cease to remind people that the event at the year, heart of the deployment of the National Guard in the first place, which was achieved through
Starting point is 00:54:57 an executive order number 14333, which if you, I don't know, if you kind of squint, it looks like 1488, the old Nazi number. But the event that sparked that executive order was the alleged violent assault on a fellow by the name of Big Balls, right? Remember, Big Balls was a 19-year-old Doge Chud working for Elon Musk to steal government data on behalf of tech oligarchs, and he was out presumably like buying drugs or doing some bad shit, it happened in a neighborhood, I believe, of Washington, D.C. that was not exactly what you might call like the safest place for a 19-year-old boy to be at 2 o'clock in the morning when this attack allegedly took place. And so...
Starting point is 00:56:08 Or it was like not the kind of place that you would expect a 19-year-old Doge Chud to be hanging out at 2 in the morning, right? It's putting our biases aside. It's not part of the city that the average sort of Trumpian teenager would be at two in the morning. Exactly. Exactly. And like this guy's not even 21. So he can't even go to bars.
Starting point is 00:56:31 Like fucking big balls. I don't know what happened with that guy. But what I do know is it doesn't smell quite right. The balls, they got some of that ball stench on them. Maybe it's fungal. Maybe it's something else. But in any event, the deployment of the National Guard seemed like it was at the ready when that alleged assault took place.
Starting point is 00:56:57 And, of course, the deployments have only ramped up since then and are now scheduled to last through the rest of Trump's entire term all the way to January of 2029, including during, if they are to take place, the midterm elections this November and the presidential elections in 2028. And, you know, we hear from our contingents and our listeners in these cities where the National Guard troops are deployed, especially the nation's capital, that they are ubiquitous and becoming a part of the landscape, places like New Orleans, places like, I believe Memphis had a big National Guard deployment as well. So they are ramping it up. It's flying really under the radar such that people don't even notice enough to make a stink
Starting point is 00:58:00 about it or to oppose the presence of the National Guard. And as we covered way back when it happened, the shooting of those National Guardsmen was another one of these really fishy events. if you scratch past the surface of who the shooter was and what happened. But that shooting really put the kibosh on the type of anti-national guard, sort of anodyne everyday demonstration and, you know, exchanging of words and just yelling at these soldiers, no longer happens because if you do it, then one, they'll arrest you, And two, you know, you'll be thrown in to this violent terrorism bucket from which you never know if or when you're going to emerge.
Starting point is 00:58:57 But military occupation is not the only tactic that's being deployed. There's also some lawfare going on, isn't there, Dick? Exactly. Exactly. So we've got the boots on the ground. We've got the facially terroristic. activities of the state where they've literally got jackboots in the major cities but you also have the administration using the law as a tool to in very much the same ways that an autocrat would to silence the
Starting point is 00:59:33 press right and we here at forthright archaeology we've got our criticism of the new york times the failing new york times everyone's favorite word game company right It seems like that's all they're doing now is these word games, which I like a word game as much as the next guy. Not a huge fan of the New York Times, but what does the Trump administration do? They subpoena a bunch of journalists over their sources for their reporting on the security inadequacies of the jet that Don got from the Qataris. Isn't that right? Hey, folks, Dick here in post-production, speaking to you on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, and interrupting this broadcast just to provide an update, it looks like the Trump administration has decided to withdraw
Starting point is 01:00:39 the subpoenas that would have compelled three New York Times reporters to testify about their sources for the articles they wrote about President Trump's Qatari-gifted Air Force One Jet. As if the Trump administration knew this episode was coming out to you this week, the administration has, again, withdrawn its subpoenas after being criticized by a federal judge for doing, you guessed it some sloppy legal work. Back to your regularly scheduled program. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And it's just, you know, it's one example,
Starting point is 01:01:26 but it's like going after the biggest and best resourced newspaper in the whole country that actually is able to fight this thing. And we'll see, I believe that it's still being disputed. I don't think that the dust has settled on it yet, but just the harassment in a way that reverberates through the media landscape and at least for these sort of craven careerist hacks that make up the majority of the mainstream press corps, like your Washington Posts and your Atlantic magazine and your NBC, CNN, etc., Right. Those guys are going to see that and be like, I'm out here making seven figures. Or, you know, I'm out here really riding the gravy train here of the spectacle.
Starting point is 01:02:25 I'm not about to jeopardize my bag by doing this kind of critical reporting. And if I do, it's going to be limited to whatever I can get from the public records, from safe sources, from, you know, things that. that do not put any sort of risk on my name. We're getting directly from the White House press, right? The press liaison or the communications office. Exactly. But that's not the only sort of critical, really scary targeting that's going on in the legal world, right? Because I'm reminded also of the prosecution of the Southern Poverty Law Center, right?
Starting point is 01:03:09 the what is it they got him on wire fraud charges or something like that what's going on there yeah exactly um i'll just say first the you know downstream from the mainstream media the effects of the type of prosecution that the administration has launched against the new york times or investigation i guess at this point there's not an indictment but the downstream effects to your smaller media companies to the extent they even exist at all anymore, they are operating on a shoestring budget as it is, so they're just not even able to fight charges like, or subpoenas like the New York Times is.
Starting point is 01:03:51 So they're going to have even more incentives to stay away from critical reporting with, you know, whistleblowers, leakers, and the rest of it. The SPLC prosecution is, yeah, Why are fraud charges? And it's all based on the SPLC's use of informants to infiltrate right-wing hate groups. And, of course, the way that it's been spun in the right-wing media is that all the while that the SPLC told you that all these groups like your local Ku Klux Klan and the proud boys were being racist, and normalizing racism in America,
Starting point is 01:04:39 well, they were paying the racists the whole time. And obviously, like, there's a certain appeal to that very simple narrative. And, in fact, it borrows from the very false flag type of framing that we have used to describe deep state infiltration efforts. But in the case of the SPLC, seems like these charges are just totally trumped up and they are being leveled for the purpose of attacking SPLC on politics.
Starting point is 01:05:17 And it's interesting because, you know, shout out to SPLC. Like, I know they do a lot of good work, but we've got to be real for a minute. Over the past several years, they've been one of the big national organizations on the ostensible political left that has actually walked back from kind of a hard stance against fascism. And famously, they also have some labor issues in their own house, laying off a bunch of workers, you know, put in the kibosh on union drives and the like. But they're the target. And it's interesting. Like, I wonder if they were picked as a weak target to go after that people wouldn't want to rally around for that reason, or if they were just an easier target because of the nature
Starting point is 01:06:15 of the type of work that they do. But you can think about a group like the ADL, for example, the Anti-Defamation League, the Zionist mouthpiece organization that has been doing far more political agitation for decades and is not getting this type of prosecution against them. And you couldn't even imagine them being prosecuted because there is never going to be a frontal confrontation between a right-wing formation like the Republican Party and the Trump administration with Israel and its various network of institutions operating in the United States. But certainly the prosecution of SPLC sends a very strong message to any members of the nonprofit industrial complex and their donors, mind you, and their donors that we want to give
Starting point is 01:07:21 our money and we want to message in a way that. signals safety from this type of attack, right? We don't want you to donate to us so that we can get sued by the government and be criminally prosecuted. We want you to give us money so that we can sue the government or so that we can host a demonstration or whatever NGOs get up to. 100%. And that's not all, right? So now let's move away from sort of the legal tools in the in the courtroom and back to more of the enforcement arm of the administration because it seems like these days you can get in a lot of hot water just by posting something on the internet right if
Starting point is 01:08:09 you've got a visa or you're waiting for your green card or you're a student or any number of you know, in any number of positions that put you maybe in a little more vulnerable of a position, you best beware because you better believe that the feds are monitoring social media and they are just raring up to come at you for posting something that is deemed an American. Yeah, exactly. And again, it's interesting how the Israel-Palestine question looms at the center of all of this because this all kind of popped off with the anti-genocide encampments when so many students were targeted international students and colleges and universities for the hosting or toleration of anti-genocide protests on college campuses. And, you know,
Starting point is 01:09:16 that continues. And it's now. expanded the latest which is a case that maybe people who are not on Twitter are not aware of but should be the prosecution of this fella by the name of Fergie Chambers he's like a rich heir who decided to give a bunch of money away to far left-wing causes and you know without opining on like whether I agree with everything he says or anything like that, like he is right now in jail, in Ibiza,
Starting point is 01:09:58 in Spain, arrested while traveling out there with his wife, who, interestingly, the daughter of the artist and filmmaker Julian Schnabel, and their little kid, and The justification is that by supporting pro-Palestinian causes, financially, that he's providing
Starting point is 01:10:26 material support to terrorism. Again, this is not new by any means, and it's something that has been a tactic for decades upon decades, but they're dusting it off because there were some real swings and misses to this effect, right? Famously, the ACLU successfully defended, I think, some Palestinian groups that were really terrorized by the government for providing humanitarian aid even. the Holy Land Foundation, right, back in the day. But here we have a white guy, not Arab, not Muslim,
Starting point is 01:11:19 simply using his money in solidarity against genocide for left-wing purposes. And they go so far as to get him while he's out of the country and are seeking his extradition. So, you know, it's something that people should pay attention to. It's something that regardless of what you think of anybody's integrity, their politics, whether they're a little bit suss or whatever, like the minute that they are actually in that cage, you know that you could be next. And so I do think that it's time to squash beefs because, like we said, there is no Communist Party. There is no unified left political formation that can launch a successful or even a remotely hopeful counteroffensive to this crackdown. But the very least that we can do is to at least be aware of and oppose however we can these types of truly draconian and repressive.
Starting point is 01:12:35 activities by the government. The same goes for, you know, whatever they've been doing against purportedly left-wing governments around the world, right? Like, regardless of whether you agree with every policy decision of Nicolas Maduro and his government in Venezuela, like, there's simply no room to countenance his kidnapping and imprisonment, and prosecution untrumped up charges by people doing the very crimes of drug trafficking that they're accusing him of. Totally. And it seems like actually the newest boogeyman, I guess, for whatever reason, it's probably, I think, wouldn't be amiss if you just attribute it to Marco Rubio's own personal animosity towards the Cuban government.
Starting point is 01:13:31 The focus is now on Cuba, right? and I'm talking about the memorandum that was issued today, right? Cuba, the capital of 21st century communism, it seems like very clear that they're making a play for Cuba. And this is something we've talked about before. It's like, yeah, they're going to go for Venezuela, then they'll go for Iran, and maybe they'll try and go for Cuba too. It seems like they're very much making a play for Cuba by tying it to the face of this movement, right? And how do they do that, right? They have, of course, there was the ministerial on new political terrorism, but then there's also this paper that, as far as I can tell, was written what, like, by a bunch of staffers at the State Department, a bunch of like 20-somethings.
Starting point is 01:14:18 Because it's almost... Using chat-chap. Yeah, exactly. It's almost like a book report or something, right? It's like, there's some people that are saying, like, there's a black list of sorts in the document, but it's really just like this report on these people, including. including Hassan Piker and for God's sakes like Amy Goodman of democracy now and just explaining how these people are somehow connected to support to the radical left, communism or Cuba, right? In Hassan Piker's case, his visit to Cuba. They're using Cuba, even though that all of these people that they list and all of these different movements or ideas or let's just call them brands that are out there have really nothing at all to do with Cuba, they're using it. as a play to get Cuba, to go after Cuba, and baked in this, you know, Cuba, the capital of 21st century, of 21st century communism baked into this paper is this concept of like, yeah, it doesn't really
Starting point is 01:15:17 matter that Cuba is this poor island country that is militarily not really even something to be considered a threat because it's not even about that, right? Cuba is a threat because it's outlasted the Soviet Union. It's outlasted other countries that were formed or operated under a communist form of government or whatever. And the idea is that don't take Cuba, don't underestimate Cuba because Cuba's strength is not just what it is able to do militarily. It is strength is one of, you know, ideology of being able to export the idea. deals of communism. And that's why these people like Hassan Piker, whoever, they are, they should be viewed as this national threat. Yeah. And it is truly an inversion, once again, of the way that
Starting point is 01:16:20 Stephen Miller was discussing communism and left-wingers in his tirade, whatever you want to call that verbal diarrhea. It's not even logorea. which assumes that its language coming out of his mouth, this was actual, like, explosive mouth diarrhea of sounds that this man was making. And what he said at one point is about how the leftist wants to destroy civilization out of resentment and because they're jealous and this and the other thing, and they don't appreciate or love anything,
Starting point is 01:17:00 and they can't dedicate themselves to any causes, and Rubio said the same type shit. And it was so ironic, like beyond ironic, beyond satire and beyond parody. Because what they're really doing with Cuba, right, is they are taking out a revenge fantasy. They're enacting a revenge fantasy on the weak nation that refused to lose to the threat of force and to the use of force. I mean, one after another tactic has been deployed by the United States against Cuba over now 60 plus years since the Cuban Revolution,
Starting point is 01:17:48 including multiple failed assassination attempts on Castro. And they just, they haven't given up. They haven't stopped producing doctors through their education system. They haven't stopped providing free health care not only to their own people, but to people in disaster areas around the world whenever something pops off. They have not stopped embracing the human spirit and supporting the arts and continually improving their own relationship with their governing ideology, notwithstanding all of the just, just brutal wave after wave of economic, political, cultural warfare being launched from the United States. And again, this is not to say like everything the Cuban government has done has been the right decision. This is simple solidarity. It's simple observation of what the actual anti-human
Starting point is 01:18:54 freaks in the American government are doing when they go after Cuba. Because like you, said, Dick, there's no argument to be made that Cuba poses any sort of a national security threat to the United States. And there's not even, as there once was, talking about the 70s again here, the presence of organized left-wing terror cells in the United States that could seek asylum in Cuba, right? Like the members of the Black Liberation Army back in the 70s that would go to Cuba to lay low from the pigs back in the day, right? There's nothing like that. I mean, fucking Rubio was talking about the goddamn Symbionese Liberation Army, a CIA cell that was created in Vacaville prison by Colston Westp.
Starting point is 01:19:55 an agent of the Phoenix program of the CIA who organized this group of white radicals centered around a black revolutionary leader. And it is true that back in those days, at least, at very least, they could point to some crimes that were committed and say, this is a left-wing crime. Now, the crimes that you were talking about, Dick, United Health Care shooting or the Charlie Kirk assassination, there is no reason to suspect that the shooters themselves, to the extent that they are even the people that are accused of the crimes, were left wing. They, if anything, were very confused, nihilistic perhaps, and desperate. it, but they weren't left wing, much less part.
Starting point is 01:20:55 Their action reflected some personal grudge, at least in some part that they had on these individuals. Right. And that kind of goes to the almost existential scale of setting the sites against any anti-system sentiment, right? Because in capitalism, almost everybody is going to have some personal grudge against powerful people, against a healthcare CEO that, you know, they denied coverage for Luigi Mangione's claim once upon a time. But they're denying coverage for millions of claims every single day. and at least hypothetically, if those denied claims havers, people whose lives are ruined by corporate greed on a daily basis, were to organize, were to collectivize their efforts and their rage in a productive way against the ruling class.
Starting point is 01:22:05 And that doesn't necessarily have to be through violence. It could be. It could also be through voting. It could be through creating a new political party or through some kind of organized corporate boycott or any number of nonviolent tactics that could be deployed against the ruling class that have been deployed strikes, for example, over the 20th century, over the industrial era. well now those are all in the same bucket they're all viewed as equally terroristic violent and threatening and subversive and evil and bad by these absolute ass clowns on the podium and you know it's just an excuse to stamp out any kind of dissent and it's like so extreme that really if people give a shit and if people actually do want to oppose these fuckers like there's no way that the sincere libs and that's not of course all libs but the sincere libs would side with the trumpers over the targets of this dragnet. And, you know, it could potentially be a means to create some unity of interests
Starting point is 01:23:43 and to force some of the more comfortable members of the society that may dislike Trump and his cronies to take some kind of an action. you know, just the same that it's being used to suppress individuals, it could also be used to cancel the elections that all these people love so fucking much. Exactly. And it sounds like we're getting to that part of the episode where we sort of close out and give our final thoughts and you started it. And I think you're absolutely right. It's this movement maybe a part of it is to get those of us. And I'm counting you and I in this segment of the American society. because we do sit at a place of privilege as lawyers.
Starting point is 01:24:32 It may be a move towards targeting folks to join up, right, and join the protection racket. And it's definitely a targeting of those of us who are comfortable, but also those who are not so comfortable, right? Because when you have some force like ICE that's saying, hey, join up and we will cancel your student loans, even though the Trump administration is. actively trying to get the student loan apparatus up and running again so that it can put the pressure on folks and has done so much to dismantle the student loan protections that people have. I can see this world in the near future where maybe the economy takes a turn and all of a sudden
Starting point is 01:25:18 the only people hiring are ICE, the FBI, local law enforcement, you know, where you can get a steady job and at the same time be working effectively as the enforcement arm of this government. And so I think there's definitely part of it is this this hedge on, you know, getting people to join up, right? Join the mob or get fucked. But I think there's also part of it, it's like there's a layer of this is just to play into the normalization. or the hyper normalization of all the shit that's been happening over the last two, maybe six, let's say, since Trump won, eight years or so, this idea that it's normal to be a white supremacist. It's normal to be a fascist, right?
Starting point is 01:26:15 And it's normal to have this hatred towards other cultures and this hatred towards other countries that aren't the United States. And so when you've normalized that, right, and there's this reification of like market forces and the political economy and all of that stuff that is just the norm when you get someone like Steve Miller to get up on the podium and say, okay, if you're not normal, if you're a leftist, you're not normal, you are a criminal, right? So the idea is when he's saying those words, it's like, okay, well, at this point in the timeline, you know exactly what he means when he says normal. And if you're not that, well, guess what? There's a target on you. And I think that's where we're headed, right? And it's this idea to create an even larger coalition, right? An even bigger tent of right-wing sort of extremist views.
Starting point is 01:27:13 Yeah. Yeah, I think that's right. I think that's right.
