This is Free With Ads, the podcast that asked the question,
why pay Disney plus 12 bucks a month to watch a bunch of superhero movies
when you can go online for free and watch a movie about a superhero
who people say is more powerful than an atomic bomb,
but mainly just pushes people into stacks of empty boxes.
I'm Jordan Morris.
And I'm Emily Fleming.
Today's movie is The Geiver,
a movie that's like Power Rangers if it was covered in a layer of thick, shiny mucous.
With us, as always, is the Super Bowl.
producer, the he freak, Matt Lieb
hitting us with those techno-organic
drops.
I am
The Geiver.
I forgot the part where he says the
Geiver at the end. No, he did a great job.
Honestly, I think if he didn't point it out, people
wouldn't have known. Yeah, I love that part
where he says, I am.
I mean, isn't that the Lord?
That's the Lord. Yes. And isn't the
Geiver something of a Christ figure?
The Geiger backwards is Yahweh.
Wow.
Oh, boy.
The Illuminati is all over this thing.
Hey, we're going to talk about the Geiver today with a very special guest.
He's a stand-up comedian.
You've seen him on Good Mythical Morning and podcast, but outside, Andrew Mishan.
Hi, Andrew.
How are you guys?
Nice to see you.
I know you guys from Mythical.
It's good to see you in a different hot studio.
Yeah.
Nice.
Feels good.
Whenever we're hanging out, it's unpleasantly hot.
If we're hanging out, we're sweating, bro.
You guys want to do art and sweat together?
Yeah, that sounds great.
You guys want to make wait for high school wrestling?
I'm so happy to talk about the guyver.
I'm so happy to finally discuss this movie that's been my favorite movie, my entire life.
Huge geiver head over here.
I'm a guy for guy.
I'm a guy as we all know.
I just wish, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry to get on my soapbox, but I just wish my daughter could go to the movies and see a galver who looked like her.
I hear you.
Where's the galver for my daughter?
Women can be slimy too.
Women can be, thank you.
Women can be slimy, super robots.
Gevers and dolls, my favorite musical.
When you see a geiver,
what something in between his ivors, you can back.
There you go.
This is perfect.
Yeah, so how did you guys choose this film?
Well, we want to talk about the movie.
Okay.
But first, we want to talk about you.
in a segment we call Talk to Guest.
Talk to guest.
So, Andrew, as we mentioned, you're the host of podcast but outside.
People have not seen this thing.
It's a wonderful premise.
You set up a card table outside somewhere.
Somewhere around, usually around Los Angeles, but sometimes around the world.
We've been lots of international and national episodes.
Yeah.
Done them in Japan, France.
You've done it at your brother's wedding.
My brother's wedding.
My dad, the first thing, the time we did it at a wedding, my father got married to a woman I had never met.
And so we did it at his wedding and I met her for the first time on the podcast.
So on the podcast, when you're not interviewing new family members, we interview strangers on the street.
You pay people a dollar to be on the show.
We just set up a table on the sidewalk in front of like, you know, Chipotle or whatever, whatever location.
And anyone who walks by is eligible to sit down and talk to us.
We like to talk to strangers.
We give them a dollar for their time.
And it's usually pretty self-selecting in the sense that the people that sit down tend to be quite interesting and have something to share.
I'm doing it for seven years
And there's a rumor
I don't know if it's true
But there is a rumor
That as you're listening to this
There is a brand new episode
Of the podcast
And the guest co-hosts are you guys
That's right
Yay
Me and Emily and Jordan
This was so much fun
It was awesome
And I produced it
From a far
And stings
I apologize Matt that you weren't invited
It's just that it's hard to have
So many guests
That's too many guests
It's a small table
We need chairs
for the for the gas.
I like imagining that Matt was hovering like a slimer
kind of in the background.
I felt his energy.
Put hot dogs in his mouth.
I definitely felt his energy.
And it was really fun.
We had great conversations and you guys were very funny.
I bet you didn't talk about Israel.
You know what?
We didn't.
We did it and it didn't come up.
Anytime someone brought it up, we went,
get out of here.
Matt's not here.
We don't know about this.
We hear there's a problem.
But no, it was really fun.
And you can go check out that episode on podcast apps and YouTube.
Yeah.
guess about outside and it's only really released it once a month so I'm happy to have you guys
on that episode on so when Emily and I did it we talked to a lot of fascinating people the one I wanted
to bring up was it was a woman and her dance mentor and the woman had just performed with Shakira
at the World Cup.
Wow amazing wild yeah she she got it because she had like done like a just like some video where
she was lip singing to Shakira and it went viral and then Shakira reached out and it's like
I guess if you're just part of this like online dance community, if you like go viral and like
you'll get plucked. Yeah, they get plucked and and sent to the world. You'll get plucked right off
my space. Do you have any other examples of like sitting down to talk to some rando and them having
an amazing story? Yeah, I mean, it happens all the time, truly. I mean, like, I mean, it's been
seven years. So I'm trying, it's hard to, it's hard to think of a specific example. But I don't know,
one of the first, like, really special guests we had was this woman who was, I think, in her 80s or 90s.
She was, her name was Marilyn.
She was, like, an old school East Coast Jew who was living in L.A.
And she was just very blunt about very dark stuff.
Like her husband had died of a crack addiction that she didn't know about.
And I was like, how did he get addicted to crack?
And she's like, he started smoking it.
Like, she was just very, like, yeah, she was just very blunt and silly.
I stepped into a time machine.
and then you met me.
That was me.
It was Emily's Looper.
I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm sorry for your husband.
Blunderbuss that lady in the back.
Yeah.
And it's like, you know, that's a woman who, you know,
I'm sure maybe didn't even know what a podcast was.
But, you know, she was funny and interesting and had something to say.
And that's what's good about the show is that it is,
there is no barrier to entry.
I mean, you talk about like, I don't know,
diversity in Hollywood and stuff and everyone's trying to make everything fit a certain
thing.
And our show was like naturally incredibly.
diverse because there is no barrier to entry.
It's just like you happen to be walking by us.
And we try to set up in neighborhoods that are not just like, you know, white screenwriters.
Like we would never do it in like.
You're not in front of the air one.
Yeah, we actually did that once.
Oh, but that was, but we've never do it in like Silver Lake or Los Angeles.
Like we're in, you know, Glendale and like the heart of Hollywood.
And we're trying to find like a slice of Los Angeles.
We've done it in front of the DMV a couple times.
Those episodes have been particularly good.
Oh, wow.
I bet those are really good.
Yeah, those are fun.
We were in front of a Panda Express.
Yeah, and it was great guess.
Happened in Pandexpress?
Everyone was really interesting.
It was a good Pan Express.
Did you eat Pan Express at something?
No, I didn't.
No, we weren't allowed to, yeah.
But it was across the street from the former Target Husk.
Which has become a full-blown adult target.
There was an unfinished target in L.A.
That remained unfinished for like five years or something.
It's very strange because of like a lawsuit about the height of it.
Right.
It was like they had built it slightly too high.
Oh, Target.
is too tall.
No one wants a tall target.
Too tall target?
I, the mayor of Los Angeles
declare this target to be too tall.
Cut off three stories from that
too tall target.
Till Tuesday, I'll give you
till Tuesday to trim two towers off that
two tall target.
Tall is five.
I mean, we all know we prefer a short target.
I mean, come on. Let's be honest, fellas.
I like a wide target.
This is for the guys.
We like short wide targets.
Give me a big target.
I want my target to be thick.
Deep and wide.
Deep and wide.
Yeah, these tall targets.
I want my target to have a big ass.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I love my thick wife.
I love my thick wife.
Yes, my curvy target.
A thick curvy target wife.
I've called me crazy, but I love my curvy target.
And my fat Walmart.
I love my fat ass Walmart.
So Andrew, we've, we've known each other for a while.
Comedy, folks, we've done mythical videos together.
they're all of us.
I guess I don't know
what kind of movie guy you are.
Do you have like genres
you gravitate toward?
Maybe you don't even like movies.
No, I love movies.
I see, I watch a lot of movies.
I would say my favorite kind of movies
are dark, kind of, dark, weird,
dark and weird, I guess.
So, Giverr likes.
Like Giver, no, I mean, not quite dark enough for me.
I would say, like, some of my favorite movies
of all time are like killing of a sacred deer,
Mulholland Drive.
Okay.
Stuff like that.
I love Lynch.
movies. I know you do too, Emily.
Yeah, I like things that are a little
weird and unexpected.
And you don't, you know, like Paul Thomas Anderson, some of his
movies I think are really, really good. Yeah.
What about the Godfather? I've seen it.
Yeah, I've seen it. Nice.
That one's kind of underground was super
sick. I've heard about it. You heard about how
the second one sucks? Yeah, people
say that. People love to say that. People,
everyone says. I got to watch it. It goes,
the one's good, two's bad,
three's good.
Yeah.
That's how it goes.
Like the fast and furious movies.
I would say like Bo was afraid is one of my favorite movies the last few years.
You know what?
I love.
Everyone hated it, but I just loved it so much.
I'm a bowhead.
I'm a bowhead.
Do you like, what do you think about the year of the dog?
Did you see that?
Remember it's like it won a bunch of Academy Awards and then.
I'm trying to think.
I think I did see it.
Everybody forgot about.
What's the year of the dog?
It's like a Western that had.
Oh.
The guy from Breaking Bad.
Jesse P. Lemon.
Jesse P. Lemon.
Jesse P.
Yeah, I did watch it.
It was good.
and Dunst and then
the guy who looks like an otter
who's a British guy. We already said, Jesse Clemens.
Dr. Strange.
Cumberbatch. Yes, he's in it.
Yeah, I watched it. It was good.
I love that movie. It's very, it's dark.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dark, dark movie. I thought maybe
that would be. No, I like it. I definitely liked it. I definitely liked it.
But I was just thinking about that movie recently.
Oh, that's nice. That's so nice of you.
That's so nice of you to think of the film.
You gotta think of the films because eventually people stop thinking of the films.
It's true. You know what's interesting about movies.
There are more out now than ever before.
That's crazy.
Isn't that crazy?
Today specifically.
Wow.
Yeah.
More movies than ever.
Every day that the Earth exists, there's a new movie.
Yes.
So every day is the most movies there's ever been.
As you guys are listening to this in the future, there's more movies than even we know about that.
Yeah.
We don't even know.
Who's the next Spider-Man?
We don't know.
This podcast is going to go forever.
Really.
I mean, that's true.
AI is going to.
Yeah.
Imagine getting so popular with our tens of listeners that we have AI versions of us continuing to make episodes after our death.
Wait, ask me about my favorite kind of movies again?
What are your favorite kind of movies?
Like AI movies made by AI?
Yeah, those are my favorite.
Here's $1,000.
The more fingers the better, baby.
Lots of fingers.
I like more fingers in my films.
Oh, oh, Matt.
Oh, do you have a sting?
I think Emily's T and you up to play The Fingering Story thing.
But she's talking about extra AI fingers.
I love movies with lots of fingers.
Thank you.
All right.
There we're good.
So now we're going to talk about the movie Giverr.
This is going to be a lot of fun.
So I think no one here had heard of this movie.
Emily, okay.
I was going to say, I think no one had heard of this movie, but Emily brought it up.
It lives in her mind palace.
Matt, you had heard of Giver.
Not only have I heard of Giver.
I was obsessed with this movie.
What?
Yes.
Okay, new information.
Yes.
I didn't know that, Matt.
I mentioned it last week.
We were talking about, you know, after our episode, we talked about what movie to do the next week.
And I had seen this movie.
When I was a kid after school, I would go on sci-fi channel because my parents wouldn't usually let me watch sci-fi channel if they were around because I would get so scared I couldn't go to bed.
Wow.
And but I go home.
Oh, I liked it.
I think it's, I think that has a big influence.
on why I like movies.
It's just like,
what's gonna make me feel something?
I don't know.
Just chasing that bad feeling.
Or that weird feeling.
But I remember,
I guess I watched it.
The scene I remember most is like,
so the Geiver is,
it's, you know, this armor
that is like kind of biological in a way.
Yes.
But there's like this silver ball
that goes in the forehead.
I remember the scene
where somebody's grabbing it
out of somebody's head
and there's a bunch of spaghetti tendrils
that come out of it.
And so there's a lot of like,
I think Ultraman, like VR troopers,
Beetleborgs.
Mega man.
Mega man.
That's what it is.
That when I was growing up
and I'm like,
that isn't it?
Well, that can't be it.
Well, this doesn't look like the thing I remember.
And so I thought it was a dream I had.
Oh, you didn't know what the movie was.
No.
I thought that it was something I had just maybe dream.
You're like, did that happen to me or was that a movie?
Am I?
Guy.
Was that my forehead?
Was there something in my head that someone took out?
But yeah, I didn't
But then the best thing about the internet
Is the longer you're on it
The more you have access to weird shit
You didn't know
Didn't want to know
Or stuff you were looking for
We all love that about the internet
And I saw a clip
That somebody put up
And it was part of that scene
And I was like
It's real
Wow
It's real
That's how it came back into your consciousness
Like when the M&M's faint
When they see Santa
Yeah
He does exist
The diver does exist
But yeah I've had
There's another movie
we watched on this channel called Strip to Kill 2.
That is a similar, you know, vibe where I thought it, I dreamed it or whatever.
You thought it was like a mandala effect thing.
Yes, these are things that felt like that.
And so luckily we found it.
I've had one of those mandala effects personally.
Okay.
I could have sworn it was Jeffrey Epstein, not Epstein.
Me too.
I could have sworn Epstein.
It was Epstein growing up.
It was just like a Bernstein Bears thing.
Oh, that's what that is?
Yeah, you got it there.
That's really good.
That's a great joke.
I thought of that joke a while ago.
I've never done it on stage, but in my mind, it is funny.
No, you're right.
Epstein, Barren Sting.
That's a great joke.
Okay, I'm going to figure it out.
Thanks, guys.
You gave me the confidence.
If I had two-thirds of the room laughing, that's good.
And then Simbad was there.
Is his character, Shazam?
Shazam was on the island, Epstein Island?
So when did you, so you saw just a video on Twitter or something?
On YouTube?
On Instagram.
Somebody had posted it, and I was like,
That's the movie.
That's the movie.
And then we were talking about it,
And Matt was like, the guyver.
Like he got really excited.
And I was like, oh, okay.
But Jordan, you didn't know about it.
No, but Matt, let's you, okay, I thought you had also never seen this movie.
You've seen it.
You're obsessed.
Tell us everything.
Okay.
So I saw this movie as a kid.
And it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen in my life.
And no one fucking knew about it.
No one knows it.
So I would go to school humming the gyber theme.
So neat.
Literally a kid was like, why are you singing
Skinnamarinky Dinky Dinky Dik? I was like,
it's not, it's the Giver. And then he said
McGiver and I said, shut up.
That's what I thought Emily was talking about a
McGiver movie. Dude, I got, this motherfucker made fun of me,
fucking Daniel made fun of me because he thought
I was talking about McGiver. I was like, no, it's the
guyver. He has like, puts his thing in his forehead
and he has a super mech suit.
And then I, you know, didn't sleep with girls until I was in my 20s.
And the point is, is this, yeah, it took a while.
Because of this movie?
Yeah, because I kept telling all the girls about the guy.
Just so y'all know, height doesn't matter.
Right, I guess so.
This guy's 6-5.
Yeah, 6-6.
Turns out the Geiver cancels out 6-5.
Straight up.
The anti-6-6.
Mark of the Dick,
if you like the Geiver, the tallest you can be is 5A.
That's as tall as you can get if you like the Geiver.
Yeah.
So the Geiver was something that my brother and I, we would.
And you saw it on TV?
We saw it on TV.
We rented it over and over.
and over again.
We saw the Geiver too, dog.
I know, there's the second one.
Yeah, they set it up at the end.
Yeah, I got something to do.
And the second one got a job for you.
And he says, dynamite.
We'll get to it.
Oh, guys, we'll get to it.
We'll get there.
So you saw the second one.
When I went on YouTube after watching this to look for a little
documentary about it, it is very hard to find any
information about the first geiver.
But there are.
videos on videos on videos about the second one.
I guess so.
It's unlike the godfather in the sense of the second one of space.
But this movie had a $3 million budget.
And then the second one filmed like three years later,
had it $800,000.
Wow.
This looks good for $3 million.
Maybe back then maybe money went.
They spent most of it on slime.
Yeah.
I'm in Mark Hamill.
And Mark Hamilton.
I bet.
But it's like the suits and stuff in this.
I'm like, they look good.
They looked amazing.
But we did earn a scare.
Stupid on this channel and we've also done
Killer Clowns from Outer Space and found out
these like the killer clown suits
were recycled for
Ernest Scared Stupid and repainted so I'm
like are these suits from
something else? I don't know.
A hundred percent. They bugged up some power rangers.
It's recycled? I mean it seems like it
Yeah it does. Well yeah let's talk about what actually happens
in the movie. We start out with a Star Wars
Esk crawl. I know it's
so funny that it's starring Mark Hamill and they like copy the Star Wars crawl. I know. I'm sure
he didn't know like they were going to do that because that's like so weird. Right. I know.
Yeah. Mark Hamill is in this and and yes, it definitely seems like he was there for a week as long as they
would shoot near his house. Why was he in this movie? We should point out that the posters
promoting the original Geiver had the Geiger helmet split and it's Mark Hamill's face inside of the
guy. Even though he never he never got it. So everybody thought he's, he's
was going to be the geiver and honestly
why not? I don't know why they couldn't have just
well they thought instead of him being the geiver why don't you
just have a younger version of a guy who looks just like him
yeah exactly so weird that the other
without the charisma yeah it was so weird that the other actor
looked so much like mark hamill it was I just don't
understand why they couldn't have just given it to mark hamill
because he got in that car accident but he looked hot in this movie
I got to say it was he was doing something for me in this movie he didn't
do anything for me as Luke's
Skywalker, but him in this movie,
I got some tingles.
In my guy,
as a grisled CIA agent.
In your girl, in your girl.
In my girl,
grower.
So in
this, this info
dump is incomprehensible.
It talks about a future,
okay, in,
so mankind was created
by aliens.
Sick.
Little Scientologist.
To be weapons, yeah.
I do believe.
Oh, gosh, I'm forgetting the name.
What's the alien prequel?
Prometheus.
It had a bit of that vibe.
Yeah, yeah.
Ridley Scott stole all this for Prometheus.
So humans were created as weapons.
And also there's something called the unit.
There's zoanoids and zoa lords.
And while this is happening, I am,
you know that meme where the guy in the yellow suit
is rubbing his hands and peeking out from behind the tree?
I'm just like, ooh, this is baby's medicine.
Listen, I love this fucking sci-fi nonsense.
Give me more of this.
Zonord, Zolords, I love it.
Give me more.
I'm just loving this crawl.
It's so crazy that they had all that,
but they didn't say Megazord once.
No, they never said Megasord.
And the voice who did it was pretty good.
Pretty good.
Okay, so we get a little kind of prologue.
There is a scientist running around with a like MacGuffin briefcase.
He is getting chased by a bunch of goons.
He like hides whatever's in the briefcase in a lunchbox,
but then keeps running with the case.
Let's talk about these goons.
These goons are incredible.
They're very well cast.
One goon, a huge man.
He's easily the tallest guy in the movie.
This is Michael Barryman.
Matt hit the sting.
Tallest guy.
He's the villain from the Hills have eyes.
He's a very, like, distinct, severe-looking dude.
I recognized him too, but I guess I didn't know what his voice sounded like.
Yeah.
So that was a little, I got a little chuckle up.
Yeah, kind of a silly voice.
It was like, you know, David Beckham voice where he looks real macho,
and then he's like, hey, everybody.
Like, he kind of talks like that.
I'm going to speak, David Beckham.
I dig it, Buckin.
Oh, always a fishy chick, yeah.
So he's like the leader.
Jimmy J.J. Walker, the sitcom actor whose catchphrase was dynomite.
He is there.
He is wearing a poofy pink hat.
I think this is the worst hat.
The worst hat.
And if you want your the worst hat, hat, go do Max Fun.
Store.com.
Hell yeah.
And then we have a,
we have a kind of a big
biker dude whose pants are pulled up
to his armpits and he's wearing a dog
collar. And then we have
a, um, a,
dominatrix bodybuilding woman.
She wrote up. Her real name,
Spice Williams.
Her name is Spice Williams.
And she's a stunt coordinator. She like still does it
to this day. So she like does stunts. I bet she worked on the movie
in that capacity. Yeah. So and
and if you're wondering if the black guy in the crew
we'll rap many times throughout the film.
Just wait.
Just hold off.
Because it does happen quite a lot.
It does feel a little bit like they wanted flavor flaves.
Yeah, it's so strange.
The rapping is so weird.
We can't get flavor flave, but we could get Jimmy J.J. Walker.
Because he did go, boy, like at one point.
I have the audio.
Once we get there, I'm playing it.
I also want to point out that this movie was, like, produced by someone called
screaming mad George.
He's a co-director.
Co-director, yeah,
pro-director who made most of the space,
like a famous special effects artist.
Wow.
Who I guess is responsible for the suits
that were so amazing.
He did a great job.
Also worked on Big Trouble in Little China,
which I totally am like,
yes, that checks out.
Predator, which another thing,
the second movie,
so the Geiver 2 in the Philippines
was called Predator 3.
What?
Yeah, so they just said, it's a predator sequel.
Yeah.
Wow.
So, yeah, a wild group of people making this movie.
So, yeah, they find the scientist, and the scientist changes into a fish monster.
This is like, Mom, can we have shape of water?
We have shape of water at home.
This is shape of water at home.
Then Michael Barryman changes into a different slimy, weird monster.
He pops the scientist's head and he says,
Your can is packed tuna man.
So it's one of those things where you know the phrase from pop culture.
And you're like, where's that from?
This is the movie that your can is packed tuna man is from.
That's why the president said that.
That's why the president, yes.
It's actually not why the president said it.
That's what people, that's what guys say when they come in me.
Yes.
Your can is packed tuna man.
That's beautiful.
So then we go to a karate studio.
There's a woman named Mitzky there.
who doesn't take the class.
It's unclear on why she was there.
I think she's the accountant or something.
Yeah.
And then Mark Hamill comes in because he knows where this,
this is one of those weird things that stuck in my craw that doesn't matter.
But I'm like, how does he know she's there?
She doesn't take karate classes anyway.
Yeah, that was weird.
He knows her dad.
There's like this vague kind of association.
Yeah.
So he was like, so Mark Hamill is a CIA agent.
He was setting up.
Which that was not clear to me.
Yeah, that was really unclear.
Because he's got this jacket.
and then like, what CIA agent looks like your dad's friend
who sleeps in his car?
Yeah, he has like, you know, just like big dockers on.
He's smoking in a way that suggests that Mark Hamill has never smoked a cigarette before.
Just to the pointer finger and the thumb.
Can't really hold it.
Pinching it.
So he's there.
So Mitzky, it was her father that died and he like breaks it to her.
And there's a guy there who will become our main character.
His name is Sean.
He, yes, has some resemblance to Mark Hamill,
but has a real like
North Hollywood bartender vibe.
He's like a...
Diggler type.
He's like a guy you run an inner tube from.
Like just no charisma.
He works at the lake.
He's a guy who you'll bang
and he'll ghost you not because he's an asshole
but because he doesn't know how phones work.
Yeah.
Lost his charger.
Sean lost his charger.
So yeah, so he'll become the main character later.
We go to the like evil.
company headquarters
that Michael Barryman
kind of gives like Lord
Evil CEO guy this
briefcase and what do you
the thing they're looking for is not in there
it's a toaster. So then
evil CEO guy uses the
force on Michael Barryman to choke
him and make him like rip his own
face and you see
just a brief shot of a tiny
butthole opening up
in his forehead suggesting that this man
might be a bit more
than human.
I have a joke about this guy that isn't mine.
I can't take credit for it.
I was watching it with someone else.
And they go, this guy's like Wario Dick Van Dyke.
Oh, yeah.
I was like, holy shit.
I mean, but I will say this guy who's the villain, amazing.
We've got two people in this movie who are from reanimator.
And we have the reanimator, who's the doctor later on in the movie.
We have two reanimator characters.
Yeah, they like, this movie has like fun casting in it.
And yeah, like a lot of just great beam.
movie people.
Which sucks because it feels like this is a crossover, 100%.
But yeah, our villain guy is fucking terrifying.
It looks like Voldemort or something.
Yeah, but it's like the whitest yellow teeth I've ever seen in my life.
So the goons are like out looking for whatever was in the briefcase.
Kind of back at the, and then, oh, and then we see our dude find it.
So Sean, he's out looking for Mitzki, and he like finds this, this whatever.
these guys we're looking for, it's the geiver or
the unit, I guess I don't know what a geiver
is. I think the guyver is
the person becomes the geiver maybe. Yeah, I think the
gyver is like, the insinuation is
that only certain people can
possess the unit.
Guyver's have a unit. If not, you're
a girl over.
You don't have to laugh if you don't
like it.
So he, whatever, he finds
there's a little, it's a disc, it's a fucking
sci-fi disc he gets it
and then later he's getting hassled
by some real 90s
ass bullies by his little
scooter
and one of the gullies
bullies says
hey be cool
chilly man was that a
could you call each other
Chili man in 1991
call your bros Chili man
I think they just let him ad lib
I like half this movie just seems like
a collection of like
you know diverse gang members
just adlib
their lines until the guy ever kills them.
And you know what, I'll say this.
The gangs are diverse.
They don't seem to be drawn on racial lines.
Certainly not.
The gangs have all racism.
Dude, they got an Italian guy.
They got a Mexican guy.
They got a white cholo.
Yeah, but then sometimes there's someone who is basically a caricature of something.
Sure.
That is like, it's rough.
There are some racial caricatures.
Here's the thing.
It would be offensive if it wasn't confusing.
That's right.
It's too confusing to be offensive.
In order to be racist, you have to be cogent.
And this doesn't have any cogent race in it.
It's just weird.
So he's getting attacked by these bullies who call him chili man.
And then the- Makes me hungry.
I know.
I could go for a chili man right about now.
And Matt door-dash me a chili man.
You got it.
And so the sci-fi disc attaches to him and then a biotechnic armor
springs out and he becomes the
Geiver, I guess.
And so he fights all the bullies
and it takes a long
time for the Geiver to do anything impressive.
They talk, again, I said it in the intro.
They talk about the Geiver suit like, this is as bad
as an atomic bomb. He just
pushes people into boxes.
Apparently, it was
they wanted to make it look
really good, but to the detriment
of mobility. And so
in the Geiver 1, he can
barely move. Yeah. And if you
watch the movie you can really notice
that this is struggling.
This is what bothers me
about that though. Because a lot
of the villains end up in really
thick, rubbery
monster suits. They seem to be moving
just fine. Well, they don't have as cool as
suit as Geiver. Well, I mean, but there's
looks more like unwieldy
in a way. But it's, I mean, I put this
all back to the Ninja Turtles movie,
which I think is 91.
And they're doing backflips and shit in that
thing. Yeah, but those are like tights.
No, those are like huge rubber like suits and everything.
So I'm like, this guyver, I wonder if it's the same guy in the guyber suit.
This fucking guy over here.
This guyver over here.
This fucking gaver.
Well, he certainly didn't become a celebrity, so I think he didn't have it.
So they replace him in the second movie.
Andrew, you kind of look like him.
Well, do look like you.
He's a handsome guy.
He's a handsome guy.
He's a handsome guy.
I'll take it.
He's very handsome.
He's a handsome guy.
I'll take it.
I guess they replace him in the second.
movie with David Hater, the guy who is Solid Snake's voice from the Metal Gear Solid
But he also wrote a bunch of fucking good movies.
He wrote X-Men and watch him in, yeah, David Hater.
He's been on Jordan Jesse Go, an impressive guy.
No way.
That's awesome.
He said a bunch of solid snakes, if he kept you wait and did not, it was great.
Next time have him on our show to talk about Guyver 2.
Yes.
That's a good idea.
Anyway, so, okay, so he's Guyver now.
He doesn't really do much other than push people into empty,
boxes. Then you kind of see some powers start to materialize. He has an elbow knife. That's pretty cool. Elbow knife is cool. Yeah, I like that. Yeah. So he beats up all the guys and then the suit like goes into the back of his neck. Looks cool. That's where I keep my suit. Yeah. In the back, in the holes in the back of my neck. So the goons are all looking for him. And they like kidnap, what's the woman's name? Mitzki. They kidnap Mitzki.
and as they're kidnapping her,
there's this,
there's this nonsensical,
wonderful moment in the van.
Michael Barryman and,
what is her name,
Spice Williams,
they're the only two goons in the van,
and they're like,
cuddling with each other.
And she's like,
oh, finally,
we have some time alone.
And he's like,
yes, I finally want to take you to Brazil.
I know.
And then he's like,
and then we'll go shopping.
And they don't go back to this.
It's nothing else happens with it.
It was cute.
It was really cute.
Do they mention it later?
Yeah.
When he's like, when he maybe gets killed or something, he's like,
well, we're going to Brazil, I thought.
Or something like that.
There are creatures and they're like,
they turn into their creature form,
which we find out all of these goons to turn into creatures.
I love the idea of villains being like,
let's take a fucking vacation.
To Brazil.
Let's go to Brazil.
Because they were all living in cardboard boxes.
Yeah.
You think of villains as like their job is to do this thing.
But hey, they want to break too.
I love that.
They're actually.
villains but they're not doing what they love.
Yeah.
I'm just doing this for the money.
I really want to go to Brazil and then shopping.
Yeah, you got to go shopping.
You got to go.
You got to shop.
The shopping and the shops.
The shops in Rio.
The shops.
The shops.
The shops.
The shops.
The shops.
The shops.
The shops.
That's why you go to Brazil.
Anyway.
Okay.
So then they take Mitzki to like abandoned warehouse.
It's a really abandoned warehouse.
housey movie.
And then Giver shows up, but he's not in the suit yet.
So he doesn't know how to make it come out.
They're all like threatening him.
They're threatening Mitzki.
Again, all the goons have monster forms.
And this is when we see it.
They're like biologically altered.
There's like some like our evil evil life.
Yeah, we learn later.
There's a lab.
There's a lab.
So this alien life form shit, they're finding ways to like make people part human turn
into alien kind of thing.
Yes. And so, yes, the Jimmy J.J. Walker character, he turns into a slimy rat man and frequently wraps.
Matt, do you have a clip of the rapping?
Oh, I don't just have a clip. I got the whole goddamn song.
Wow.
Fun fact, writing these raps was a young Jay-Z's first year.
I will say this, his transformation, he looks like.
Jar Jar Binks.
No.
A little bit.
A little bit.
But to me, it looks like he's a gremlin who fuck.
He's like now
He's like a big boy
Grimlin
He is a big boy Grimlin
Yeah have fun playing trains over there
Other Gremlins
You know that
Drake
You know that Drake?
You know that Drake?
I know that Drake meme
I've heard of that Drake fella
Yes mom I've heard of Drake
Yeah
No, the Drake meme where he's like doing the no
And then the yes
So I think I want to do one where it's like no
To the little Gremlin
And then yeah
To this big Grimlin for sure
I want to do that with Jar Jar Jar as well
Because it did really look
And his ears had the
You know the spitting dinosaur
From Jurassic Park
Oh yes
Same ears
I was like this is
And it's all before that
Before they copied it
Yeah
So much shit copied this movie
Prometheus Jurassic Park
Holdemort
It also felt like Jar Jar Jarb
Because of the
The racial undertone
The racial undertone
Yeah
It's a little racist sure
Yes
Yes
Okay one of the lines
From the rap
I wrote down
He's like looking
for the main characters
She says, you won't have to hide no more.
You can come to Mick Stryker's store.
Huh.
There are other things that rhyme with more.
You don't have a store.
I was like, your store?
You didn't say you had a store.
You have one.
You have another business.
Say door.
Say, I'm going to make you sore.
I don't know.
My dick's behind this little door.
That's better.
That's right.
Come to my store?
Spice Williams is my whore.
Sure.
Why would respect her more than that match?
Oh, of course.
Well, I'm saying he's.
a massage. Yes, I would respect Spice Williams more than that.
So, yeah, so everybody's in their monster form.
Guyver's fighting him. It's pretty unimpressive until he
rips one's arm off. And I'm like, okay.
Okay, Giverr. And it feels like they're multiplying somehow,
because I'm like, didn't we only see like four goods before?
More of them just show up. And then someone has a little ADR line saying,
the rest of the gangs here.
Just two guys walk in. There's a game here.
Did you find that out because of the closed captions?
Yeah, I do watch these with captions and sometimes pick up a week.
It's really well.
I don't usually do the captions because I find them distracting personally.
But now it's like you could hear people in the distance saying things.
And I'm like, wow, I was missing all kinds of shit.
That's true.
So they, Emily, this, the moment that stuck in your head as a kid, that's when they,
kind of the Michael Barryman monster does the like fatality.
They pull out his ball.
They pull out his ball.
Which, okay.
His forehead ball.
This is the most sophisticated armor, apparently as dangerous as an atomic bomb.
And the weak spot is right in the middle of his fucking forehead.
What a fucking Sega Genesis boss ass place to have your weak point.
Yeah.
Season two, Power Rangers, putty, have the fucking button in the middle.
It's like, what are we doing?
It's like, it's like, don't put the clit in the middle of the head.
Thank you.
Put a hood on that.
Put a hood on it.
It's the death clip.
It's the death clip.
Oh, my God, that should be our band.
We are death clit.
I can't read the font on the T-shirt.
The font's too hard to read.
I can't even find the t-shirt.
Where's the shirt?
How does the shirt work?
I've heard the shirt's a myth.
Where do I put my hands?
So they rip the ball out and he melts into a gross puddle.
Like an ice cream.
Like an ice cream.
He looks like one of those like popsicles that you used to get as a kid from the ice cream truck that have like the gumball in the middle.
It was like that kind of texture.
The bootleg sponge bob.
Yeah, those kind.
What's the bootleg gyver popsicle?
That's what he looked like.
It tastes like shit, too.
I know that we.
got them because it looked so cool but then it was the worst ice cream on her so so then we kidnapped mitsky
and she wakes up and the CEO bad guy is rubbing her lips and then sucking on his own fingers
he's rubbing like he's putting his fingers gently like gingerly down her blouse arm yeah and then
he's like sucking on them fucking terrifying so much there's so much visceral shit in the
this movie that makes you feel things.
I thought that was beautiful.
It was amazing.
I thought that scene was beautiful.
I guess you guys didn't like it.
I thought it was really romantic.
Listen, love is love.
Love is love.
Love wins.
Love wins.
And then so he's being the grossest anyone's ever been.
And then he reveals, there's a name reveal.
You didn't know the CEO's name.
And he says, I'm Fulton Balkas.
And I'm like, what a name.
And that's points for they're just making this up when the camera rolls.
Like, you have to say your name.
What is it?
I don't know.
The Fulton Bulkis.
And I love how many times they, like, dramatically established the, the exterior shot of the Kronos H.Q, and it's just like the U.S. Bank building, like, one of the most famous buildings in America.
It's like, you can't just take that building and say it's the Kronos H.Q.
So he, so he's, when he's not sucking his fingers, he's showing her around, he's got a bunch of monsters and tanks.
And there's a cool bit of world building here.
He's like, oh, you know, these are the creatures of legends, like vampires, minotars.
They were all these creatures.
I liked that part.
Yeah, that was cool.
I like that.
Me too.
And then he's like, you know, he's going to populate the world with him.
And he says, can you imagine these creatures in the White House?
Yes.
And then I said, I think there's a different monster currently in the White House.
Whoa.
Idiocracy was a documentary.
Idiocracy was a documentary.
Baby, baby, baby, don't do this.
I'm good.
Anyway.
So we're about to get...
You got activated.
I was activated.
We're about to...
Someone put the ball back in his craft.
My ball got taken out.
We're about to that the final battle.
Let's take a break.
We'll come back.
We'll talk about that.
Hey, we're back.
It's free with ads.
We're here with Andrew Mishon from podcast but outside.
Hey, what's up?
We're talking about the thrilling conclusion of the Geiver.
So the Geiver is...
just he's in his little ball
we thought he's dead but he's in the ball
he gets he is reborn of the ball
they put him like this other
little monster swallows him
yes that was cool and then he got
birthed from the inside of the monster
which was rad that was cool and then they had like a
jaws rip-off thing where they had the jaws theme
as the as the blade came out
oh I didn't notice that I didn't notice that
his kind of elbow blade came out of his stomach and it looked like a
shark fin and they played like a jaws
sting.
The music in this
was pretty lit.
It was all over the place,
but there was...
Oh, speaking of,
we never talked about
the cuts when they did
the crazy sound.
The segues.
The cuts from scene to scene,
the screen wipe
where it would cut into the screen
and it would be like,
da-da-da.
Like, it was like a little bit
in the 60s Batman.
Yeah.
Well, it was like funny the first time
and then it was like,
oh wait, they're going to do this
every scene.
And I was like, this is crazy.
Yeah.
Like, well, I'm going to go to the bathroom.
Also, we didn't
didn't talk about this, but did you notice Spice Williams?
She's the, her monster is the only monster that has fur?
Yes.
And titties.
Did you notice?
I didn't notice the titty.
Straight up, there's a titty shot.
She has monster titty.
I didn't see the monster.
With the nips?
Yeah, nips and everything.
Right before she dies.
She's holding Mitzki.
I got to buy this on Blu-ray.
Yeah, you got to see the bluerre.
She kind of looks like a bat sugar glider type thing.
Yeah, but with tities.
Is kind of cute.
Yeah, dude.
Batty knockers.
Batty.
Batty knockers.
Mommy milk.
More of a monster ass guy.
Whatever.
Whatever you can just say stuff on a podcast.
You can say whatever you want.
Say whatever you want.
Oh, yeah.
So it's the final, it's the final battle.
And they have captured Mark Hamill somehow off camera and put him in one of the tubes.
So he's having something done to him.
Oh, I also wrote down, one of the monsters is wearing a tie.
I like laughed harder at that than I have it like any comedy I've seen in the past five years.
I'm like, he's wearing a tie.
Anyway, so yes, as you mentioned, they kick the Geiver ball into that monster's mouth
and then he rips his way out with his elbow blade to a jaw sting that I missed.
Yeah.
So yeah, so Geiver fucks all those guys up.
And then the main CEO, Fulton Bulkis, he kicks that guy through a wall and then he emerges as his zone Nord, Zoh lord, zone lord.
Wait, have we skipped over the Mark Hamel transformation?
No, I think that's about to happen.
Oh, yeah.
So then Mark Hamill, we reveal, got taken out of his tubes.
I don't know.
Stuff happens.
Too early.
He wasn't taken out too early.
He wasn't fully cooked.
He wasn't fully cooked.
So he, oh, this was, I had to, like, cover my eyes.
I have a hard time sometimes with body horror or stuff.
And this was really tough.
Like, I had a hard time with this.
It was super rough.
It's the best special effects of the whole movie.
It changes into a bug monster and then immediately dies.
And yeah, it looks awesome.
Gross.
And the bug still has Mark Hamill's eyes.
It's haunting.
So haunting.
And when it was happening, it's just like, oh, God, it's really grotesque.
I think that you could, like, if you don't want to watch the whole movie, you should watch the whole movie.
But that, if you look it up, that is the clip that first shows up on YouTube.
Yeah, it's really, it's pretty gross.
Crab, Mark Hamill.
He's all, like, crabbed out kind of.
He's a little crabbed out.
He's a little craved out.
Bro, you crabbed out.
You craved out.
Oh, dude, he's crapped out.
What is this Mark's crab shack over here?
Do we know why Mark did the movie?
Oh, boy.
You mean other than money?
Was there a lot of money, though?
A $3 million budget.
He couldn't have been paid that much.
I bet he got at least half of that.
100%.
Half went to Mark Hamel and half went to slime.
Yeah, dude.
Okay.
I think that whoever the mad dog motherfucker.
He did all the...
Because the practical effects are like,
It was awesome.
Pretty remarkable.
Yeah.
But yeah, that scene is fucking baller.
I mean, it's gross.
It's really gross and weird.
So, yes.
Then the Zolord comes through.
It's a big dinosaur.
Yeah.
So it's a big puppet, but also stop motion sometimes it looks great.
Yeah.
And, you know, Giver has a big fight with him.
And this is the first time where we see the, like, at the end of the movie, we see
the destructive potential of the Giver.
Finally, some light, some steam bursts out of it.
And then, yeah, he shoots a big laser out of his chest, which he could do, I guess.
We were never...
Yeah, Givers don't really know
what they're capable.
No, unclear power set.
Well, when you're powered by a guy named Sean.
Yeah.
I don't know.
You think it's Sean's fault?
Yes, I do.
You think Sean is the worst guyver humanity's ever had?
Probably.
Yeah, Sean, before you was the Giverer,
Sean was a lifeguard at a public pool.
Seriously.
So he lasers the dinosaur and then he changes back and he's naked and him and Mitzki
go off together.
First, they look down at his dick.
She does look at his dick.
She looks down, he looks down, and then she gives him like a lab coat to kind of daffy duck it in.
Props to the people for casting two people with zero chemistry.
Yeah.
The romance between these two was like, I guess.
They look like they're meeting for the first time.
They look like they're speaking for the first time.
Yeah.
She was a little rough.
They both.
They were just like.
They were both.
First time ever reading an English sentence, both of them.
Both of them.
And then so he.
He's nude and then we see one,
Mark Hamill had a mean CIA boss who's always yelling at him and he's standing with the...
I knew there was something wrong with that guy.
Jay, J.J. Walker, Rat Monster.
And he's like, I've got a job for you.
And JJ says, that's the end of the movie.
But before that, Sean has a line where he says, well, it's all over.
Come on. Let's go home.
You could add that at the end of any movie and it would work, honestly.
Great final line for any film.
I mean, some would say that's what the.
Odyssey is a
I guess you're right
That's the whole movie
That was the original final line
Something else they stole from this
That's true
Everyone stole from this
Everyone
stole from this
Oh my God
Dynamite
Dino mite
Funny that's the last
Lines of the Odyssey
It looks right at the camera
That Damon does?
Yeah
I like that
It's Anne Hathaway
Dino Mite
Wild
Do you guys watch The Odyssey?
I did.
Oh, so good.
That's great.
In 4DX.
It was good.
My only question is, like, are these rowdy dinners happening every night while he's away?
It seems like it.
I just don't get it.
It's like, how is that sustainable?
Where it's just like every night there's all these brute men fighting and like eating and they're in your hallway?
Also, that must be in like the regular dating pool is thin.
Right, exactly.
It's like there's all these other girls out there.
Like, any of you want to not marry the queen?
You fucking go.
Yeah.
They're all just took to fucking.
and fighting and the
disuses living room.
Mia golf is over here
just like, hi.
I could play two characters
at once.
I'm a star.
It's okay.
Sorry to bring up a movie
that stole from this movie.
Let's get back to the text,
the original source.
Well, yeah, that's the end of Geiver.
We're going to tell you what we thought about it.
But first, we're going to do the
hunk watch.
It's hunk watch.
Andrew, for you, we go around the horn
and we talk about someone in the movie.
We felt like was a hunk.
This could be someone you were attracted to,
and we just feel like
did a great job.
We can give you a minute to noodle on it.
I'll go first.
Who could it be other than Spice Williams?
Spice Williams.
That is just, when I go on Instagram
and I hit search,
that's pictures of that woman
basically pop up.
She's my favorite spice girl.
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
If you want to be my guy,
but you got to put this in your head.
I got some monster tities.
Friendship never had.
Anyway, yeah, Spice Williams could not be anyone else.
Matt, do you have any thoughts on the hunks?
Yeah, I mean, I'm going to go with Mark Hamill in this
because even though his role was clearly written after the fact,
he's got one of the most useless characters in the movie.
Does nothing, does not need to be in there,
but it was they got Mark Hamill and he said no when they asked him to be the Geiger.
Yeah.
So, but beyond that, I thought he was the hottest he's ever been.
Yeah, he looked good.
Looks great.
Yeah.
As soon as he came on camera, I was like, oh, shit.
Yeah, right.
Because when I was, I mean, you watch Star Wars, he's cute.
Of course, he's cute.
He's very attractive.
But Harrison Ford's there.
Runs that moisture farm, am I right?
Yeah.
But Harrison Ford's there, and it's like, Jesus, pure sex.
But in this, he, like, walked on.
I don't know if that's a hairpiece or whatever,
but it was doing things for me as well.
Okay.
And I just liked the whole
like noir kind of thing he was going for
with the performance.
He was very sexy,
but ultimately it's got to be the rat creature.
Wow.
Okay.
Oh, that's a fun pivot.
You know, the gremlin who fucks.
Yeah, he's, I got to see what that.
What's that weird dick look like?
What's that weird dick do?
Dinovite!
Okay.
I just have to see me.
thoughts on the hunks.
Yeah, I have to say it's a little sad that you could ask a thousand people of this question
and no one would say the love interest.
She just didn't have it.
She just simply didn't have it.
I'm sorry, Miski.
She had zero personality.
Zero personality, zero stage presence.
You don't care about her relationship with anyone.
Why was she at the karate studio?
I still don't know.
Not only that, but the whole movie is like very Japanese.
Why was she Chinese?
I mean, it's like that even like the movie was co-produced by
Japan and the director's Japanese
but they kind of got a Chinese
woman with zero ris.
It's Vivian Wu by the way.
Oh, okay.
It's like, it's just crazy
because she is someone who, she's done.
Yeah, she became someone. She became someone
but she didn't have it yet. She wasn't fully cooked either.
Just like Mark Campbell. I mean,
okay, here's a good. And my answer
is Mark Hamill. He looked great. You know, she's Mark Campbell.
I mean, if you, we watched,
I had never seen a Twilight movie until
we watched it for this.
Free, huh? It was free.
For a brief window.
How the Mighty have fallen.
Yeah.
And Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are both notably bad in that movie.
Right.
Two of them are now the greatest, two of the greatest actors of their generation.
I guess you're right.
They are, they are Mitzki levels of boring in that movie.
Wow.
So I guess keep trying, folks.
Keep trying.
You will get there.
You will get there.
You could start out with some little bangs and become a full woman.
And become, yes.
Anyway, all right.
Well, that's the hunks of the movie.
we are going to tell you what we thought about it overall when we come back.
We're back. It's free with ads. We're here with Andrew Mishan from podcast, but outside.
And we are going to tell you what we thought about the Geiver.
But first, we want to tell you about our bonus episodes. We like shows.
We like shows.
What you do is you go to maximum fun.org slash join. You kick in a couple of bucks to
keep the network going.
And you get to hear all our bonus episodes
and all the bonus episodes
from every show on the network.
On these episodes,
we are talking about some of our favorite TV pilots.
This month, we did The Outsider on HBO.
What a Matt Leeb's favorite shows.
We all loved it, I think.
Yes.
Yeah, and next month, it'll be my pick.
So what will we watch next month?
And hey, this is kind of cool.
If you go to the Maximum Fun YouTube channel,
we did a live stream where we talked about
Timothy Shalame and Matthew McCona Hay's interview of each other.
It was something we promised we would do for the Max Fun Drive,
and we reached our goal, so we watched this awful hour-hour-plus interview
where the two handsomest dumbest boobs.
Booms is a great way to call it.
Just tried to blow each other's mind with the dumbest word salad you ever heard.
Is this where he said it in like opera?
Is that where it came from?
Yes.
Yeah, yeah.
But that ain't shit.
That ain't shit compared to everything else.
Yes, he says 40 dumber things in there.
Fucking goobers slobbing on each other's knobs.
Are the people in the room eating it up?
It's college kids.
No, I don't think they are eating up.
Oh, really?
I don't know.
None of them seem to be like clapping or like exceedingly like stoked about anything.
Well, yeah, we watched this thing.
It was really bad and we talked about it on a live stream, which you can watch now at the Maxxwin YouTube channel or hey, check out the show notes.
There's a lot of good stuff in the show notes.
Yes.
You can find a link.
that video.
Okay, Andrew, for you,
what we do is we rank the movies
on a scale of one to ten
super loud commercials
because that's what you have to pay
to watch it.
What would you rank
the Geiver on a scale
of one to ten
super loud commercials?
One to ten super loud commercials.
I guess I could give it
a six.
Okay, six commercials.
Is that bad?
Is that good?
That's fine.
It's a lovely review.
Okay.
And it's what's in your heart.
There's no wrong answer.
Oh, that's how many commercials
I would sit
through to watch it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, one to ten.
Okay, yeah.
I guess, yeah, six super loud commercials.
Six super loud commercials.
Yeah, yeah.
It was enjoyable.
It was, you know, a little bad, but it was fun to watch.
And I would say that the costumes made it really good.
And, yeah, I mean, it looks like they shot it all in one night, which is great.
We love that.
Yeah, I liked it.
It was fun.
Yeah, I'll, since Emily and Matt are the Geiverheads.
I'll let them go last.
I'll weigh in.
Yeah, I had a lot of fun watching this.
I think it's a seven super loud commercials for me.
Yeah, it's a blast.
I think it's a real good, bad movie.
I think you can have fun with it.
I would say that the thing that maybe brings it down a little bit for me
is there's a lot of bad comedy in it.
I think that's a little less fun to watch than an earnest bad movie.
It's like there's a lot of just jokes that don't work.
But that being said, the practical stuff looks awesome.
Awesome.
And yeah, and I think this is a movie that you could just check out clips of on YouTube
and see the weird slime monsters and stuff like that.
But I do think it is a pretty fun watch if you're just looking for.
a fun, you know,
stony, bad movie night,
The Geiver,
uh,
it's a hoot.
Let me give one more criticism.
Yes,
please.
There was basically no plot.
No.
It was basically like,
we need this thing.
Oh, they found it.
Let's get it back.
And that's pretty much it,
the whole time.
I mean,
isn't that the plot of the Lord of the Rings?
No.
Isn't that the plot of the Lord of the Rings?
I am in agreement with you there.
Isn't that the plot of Godfather,
too?
Oh, brother.
The bad one?
Yeah.
Also, a Lord of the Rings is no sex, no horny, nobody want to fuck.
It was dark time.
Dark times.
Gladriel.
Under Saramon.
Dark times under the eye of Saramon.
You can't fuck under Saramon.
The eye of Saramon is looking the whole time.
All you got to do is take the eye of Saramon out of its forehead and then you're done.
I'm going to go crazy.
It's the eye of Sauron.
Sauramon is a wizard.
Well, they shouldn't be that similar.
Yeah, they were a little too similar.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Let's give some notes to Tolkien.
Oh, my God.
I got, hey,
Hey, J.R. I got some notes on your naming conventions.
I'm playing the Hobbit Magic the Gathering these days.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah, they just came out with a Hobbit set.
Cool.
That's what I sounded like when I would tell girls about the Geiffer.
Yeah, I blew it.
Emily, one to ten, super loud commercials.
What did you think of the guy for?
I'm giving it an eight.
An eight.
Okay.
I think this is the ultimate background of,
of a party, movie to have on a TV screen.
I often talk about this with movies.
That's good.
People are just going to go, what the fuck?
And then talk about it, look it up, ask questions.
Like, I think it's a fun movie to look at visually.
Yes, the plot is whatever, but it's so refreshing to see such cool, like, special effects,
like practical effects and character building and all this stuff.
I just, I got to watch Guy Ver two.
I hope we watch it for the pod.
Oh, yeah.
So yeah.
It's called Predator 3.
He's called Predator 3.
We will not be watching Gehber 2.
We will be watching Predator 3.
So I had a blast.
I had so much fun.
Yeah, I highly recommend.
Matt, what you think as the Geiber guy?
I'll tell you right now, I have not seen this movie since I was a kid.
And I am mad at my brother for making me obsess with it.
Every girl who decided not to fuck me because I like the Geiber was right.
I'm giving her a four.
It was, I really, as I was watching it, I was, I was just taking aback at how shitty it was.
Oh my God.
As a kid, you have to understand, I thought this was a coolest movie ever made.
Even the theme song sucked ass.
Like, as a kid, I thought it was the greatest music ever.
And then I re-listened to the theme song.
I was like, this is bad.
I remember this being good.
Jesus.
Are you sure you're not just a little bit bitter because it forced you into celibacy?
That's possible, but here's the song, just in case people.
What's bad about that?
Well, this didn't get you late?
There words?
No.
I'm sorry, and my armors in my neck.
I'm very easily defeated if you touch the ball.
Boy!
Dynamite.
Wait, that was, that theme song is super similar to the Downton Abbey theme song.
Oh, I mean, and the kind of, it sounds like the T2 music.
Oh, okay, maybe.
Old Jimmy Cameron stole the music.
I'm still giving her to four.
Sorry.
Okay.
I'm mad at my dad for letting my brother raise me.
Jesus Christ.
Well, that's the Geiver.
And now we are going to talk about some things we have going on that aren't this show.
Drew, thank you so much for being here.
Thank you for having me.

No, they have a comic store called Third Eye Comics.
I will be there from five to six.
The first 10 people apparently get a prize.
I don't know what.
what it is. I think it's probably a short pump.
I used to be a short pump virgin.
Right. And now...
And now I stop talking about that guy.
That's kind of like a nice fun way to say just the tip.
In a different way. A short pump.
Yes, come see me on the 9th at Third Eye Comics.
