It's so good to be here. By the way, I keep getting excited about your new show
on Fox Business
that's coming out.
Thank you.
What is it?
Two weeks from?
Week and a half.
January 23rd.
Dagan and I
at six o'clock.
Fox Business.
What's the name of the show?
Exactly.
Come on.
What are you?
The Bottom Line
with Dagan and Duffy.
Bottom Line
with Dagan and Duffy.
If you're watching
Brett Baer
at that hour, just switch over to Fox Business
don't be offended Brett that's not a problem
let them switch over we're all in the family
we're all in the family so switch over to Fox Business
we're really excited
she is a spitfire she is she's a lot of fun
she's a lot of fun you're going to have a blast
and I'm really excited about the show
and there are so many things
for you to talk about on Fox Business what I love about your show it has to do And there are so many things for you to talk about on Fox Business.
What I love about your show has to do with a lot of things we're going to talk about
because there's like, you know, Fox Business, some people think of like really, you know,
the stock market and investments and like really sort of high level stuff.
But I think your show is going to take on how, as well as those issues, is going to take on a lot of the everyday issues, business issues that actually impact people at their kitchen table.
At the kitchen table.
The kitchen table issues that are happening nationally affect us right here in our homes.
And that's what I'm excited about the show.
It's after markets.
So we get to talk about the business side.
We get to talk about the political side, but also the cultural side, the kitchen table issues that affect people,
which by the way, it seems like now more than ever, there's more issues that come from the
federal government that are affecting our kitchen table. So tomorrow I'm taking a flight out to
Florida to shoot a package for Fox and Friends. It's going to air this weekend with Jack Brewer.
And I'm like, am I going to get on a flight? Why? Because there's all these flights that were canceled,
like 4,000. Was it 4,000 flights? 4,000 flights canceled or delayed, I should say, delayed.
But that is the first time that air travel has been universally shut down.
Skies were empty. Right. So the FAA had a glitch.
They said it wasn't a cyber attack.
Now, by the time you're listening to this,
we might have more details on what happened.
But right now, we don't know.
My guess is that when Pete Buttigieg is on vacation
or maternity leave, things go well.
It's paternity leave, Sean.
Pete, what did I say?
You said maternity leave. Okay, paternity leave, Sean. Pete, what did I say? You said maternity leave.
Well, okay. Paternity leave. Paternity leave. Pete must be in the office and doing some work
and therefore the grid shuts down. But we're laughing about it, but it's not funny. It's not
funny if you're trying to get somewhere. Maybe you have a medical emergency. You need to get
to somebody's bedside. Who knows what's going on? But people pay for their tickets. They expect to get out when they can get out. And this whole thing, it just seems
like, we're talking about it this morning, it feels like nothing in America is working.
It's not working.
The flights, airline travel has never been worse. There's never been more problems when you travel.
And then the shelves are still empty. They're still, believe it or not, you're not
hearing a lot about it, but there's still baby formula shortages. If you're a mom, you know that
for a fact. And there's medicine shortages. You know, whoever thought you couldn't get Tylenol
for your kid in America? And I know this is kind of regional, but when you go shopping,
the shelves used to be like overstuffed with stuff. And you go shopping now,
and it's like there's empty portions of the shelves. Things are missing, or there's one
thing there. It's like Havana. It is. And so the supply chain is still affecting us. But
I look at just how government works. I don't like paying taxes, but I'm willing to pay taxes. I
think I pay too much. I think the rates are too high. I think it's somewhat unfair.
But listen, we pay taxes for roads and bridges and a military and a government that works.
But I pay that with an expectation that my government actually functions well, as well as a family would function.
And so we just talked about the FAA.
We've talked a lot about the border and the fact
that the federal government, again, they can secure the border. They're choosing not. This
is a conscious decision. They're choosing not to secure the border, but they're not doing their
job in keeping Americans safe and enforcing our laws on the southern border. Law enforcement,
they're not. Well, actually, law enforcement is doing their job but but the DAs and judges are not doing
theirs can I tell you what bothers me here's and I'm going to tie this in you know you talked about
the border I want to talk about the the new move towards eliminating gas stoves yeah because it's
it's somewhat related because I had a conversation with your brother and sister-in-law this morning
so Sean's brother and sister-in-law own Northwood Stoves, which is a fireplace business, small
business that they've run for decades now out of northern Wisconsin.
And I got on the phone and said, hey, what do you guys think about this gas stove thing?
And they said, you know what?
We're noticing, even here in Wisconsin, that a lot of new builds don't have the hookup
for gas. So slowly but surely, this idea of
going electric is making its way through America. And so you may be able to have your gas stove
for cooking or your fireplace gas, but there may come a time when if you try to buy a new house,
you won't even have that option. I think that's the direction they want to move in.
You won't even have that option. I think that's the direction they want to move in. And let me tie this back to the border. You have a border where people making the decisions about, fireplaces and cooking stoves, they don't, by the way, live in northern Wisconsin where when there's an ice storm, your furnace that of town. We had a horrible storm here. My house was still heated and fine because I have a gas fireplace down the basement that keeps everything running and the pipes from freezing over.
So, I mean, they just don't get it.
Well, and I think it's interesting.
So they're talking about banning stovetop cooking with gas, right?
Right.
So these, my brother sells fireplaces, which are gas and wood
fireplaces and inserts in homes. You see them all the time. But they're saying for this potential
ban on gas top cooking, that it's dangerous, right? The product safety board has to come in
and go, listen, there's people with asthma and there's a lack of ventilation. And listen, we've been cooking with gas for a hundred years.
And by the way, the term we're cooking with gas now means you're cooking well. It's moving,
it's efficient, it works well. And if you like to cook, if you actually enjoy cooking,
gas is the way to go. I mean, the first thought I had, Sean, was how are we going to heat
our tortillas? I literally go into a house if I'm going to buy it. I would like to heat the tortillas
on the gas flame. I totally agree. So listen, do you want a home filled with flammable materials?
So if something happens and your home burns up in a flash,
no, that's a safety issue.
Should have we dealt something
with lead paint
where kids were putting
lead paint chips in their mouth
and getting lead poisoning.
Yeah, deal with that.
But gas stoves,
this is about the green new energy movement
trying to get us off of gas
into electricity.
Why? And by the way, we're going to get to that in a second.
But did anybody vote?
Did anybody say, hey, that's a great idea.
I want to give up my gas stove.
Because if you had that vote, just like these new washing dishwashers, they don't wash the dishes.
The new energy efficient dishwashers, you have to wash them twice, which is not very efficient.
Time-wise or energy-wise, because the pressure isn't enough.
There's not enough water in there.
So anyone who washes dishes, if you ask them to go, give me the old dishwasher back, the one that actually worked.
So I'm paying $2,000 for a dishwasher.
I want it to wash the dishes.
I don't want to turn on an electric stove.
I want my gas stove.
And so, Rachel, you bring up the good point, which is, by the way, someone's coming into our house and Skippy's going to start to bark in a second.
That's her dog. Skippy, settle down. Settle down. His ears perk up. They're doing it for a reason.
This is about control. This is about the nanny state. The big elite liberals know what's best
for us, how to run our lives, our families, and our homes. So we're not going to vote. They're
just going to tell us, number one. But if they can move us all to electricity, there's a unique
power that comes with that, right? You can turn it on and you can turn it off. You can turn it on
and you can manage how much I get and how much I don't get. The power that comes through electricity,
whether it's heating my home, my thermostat, whether it's how I know, heating my home, my thermostat,
whether it's how I cook, whether I drive my car. We'll have more of this conversation after this. a loved one to a DNA journey of discovery at a truly incredible price. Discover your heritage,

Terms apply. You know, Sean, it's so funny because sometimes I complain to our producer. I'm like, why do we keep doing news on California and New York?
Like, who cares?
That's why I say all the time, who cares?
You know what?
So many of these ideas emanate from California.
We have to follow them because they're coming to your town, whether you live in California or not.
My cousin, Art, lives in California.
Great guy.
He's been warning me. He said they're trying to move
our thermostat into this centralized thing so they can control the temperature in my home.
You get a discount. Yeah, you get a discount if you transition to this. But it's energy efficient.
No, it's not. What it is, is they want to be able to shut it off. And they'll say it's,
oh, we have a blackout.
We have to shut everybody's air conditioner down or turn everyone's heat down.
And they're trying to normalize and get you used to the idea of some centralized government entity deciding what the temperature in your home is.
Sean, we fight a lot about the temperature in the home.
Right.
Because I like it really, really hot.
Sean, thankfully, doesn't like it too cold, but he definitely likes it cooler than I like.
But for a lot of men, the temperature in the house is like part of their manhood, right?
Kind of, it is.
It's part of the manhood.
If you saw that movie, Daddy's House 2, there's this famous scene where this you know, this little girl changes the temperature of the stepdad. Daddy's home with Mark Wahlberg. Yeah. And Mark Wahlberg's little
stepdaughter changes the temperature and he doesn't want to reprimand her for turning it up.
And all the other dads are outraged that he doesn't have, it's like, he doesn't have control
of his house. You don't have control of your house? Right. Right. But there's something really
true about that.
A man's house, a woman's house, that is your castle.
That is your sanctuary.
And nobody in the government should tell you what the temperature in your house should be.
That's your decision. If you want to pay more for heat or you want to pay more to make it super cold with air conditioner, that's your decision.
That's what freedom is.
you know, super cold with air conditioner, that's your decision. That's what, that's what freedom is.
And so last week, this past week, you saw Governor Newsom out and about saying that, you know, he gave this big, like, I'm going to run for president speech about how, you know, California
is the freedom state. Oh, heck no, it's not. It's a place where they want to control you. And they're,
they're exporting those ideas. And people like, you know, who live in Northern Wisconsin,
where, where, where you're from, Sean, I mean, the idea that everyone's going to move to electric, it just doesn't even make sense.
Well, it's a lot more expensive.
So number one, in Wisconsin, you heat your home with wood or natural gas, some with propane.
But propane, when you get propane shortages, become very challenging and very expensive.
Isn't natural gas clean?
Yeah.
It's clean and it's beautiful, as Donald Trump would say.
Beautiful.
That's for the electricity. But here's where I think we are.
It starts off slow.
They slowly start to take away our freedom, and then they take it away fast.
And I think they saw the benefit of the pandemic.
They can say, when there's an emergency emergency that allows us to take more of your
freedom. And again, there's great debates that we have in this country with liberals and
conservatives on ideas and where the country should go, but you don't have those debates
unless you have freedom. And I think these elites, this global movement has to be stopped. And the
only way it stopped is if people say no.
Civil disobedience. There should have been a heck of a lot more of it during COVID. I am,
and I'll tell you, Sean, when we moved into this house, we had two old dishwashers. I could have afforded to change the dishwashers. I did not change the dishwashers. I wanted these old
dishwashers. I have two because I have a huge, ginormous family. We do a lot of dishes in the house. Sorry, my phone keeps going off. And because I wanted the freedom of the old
dishwashers that actually clean. When it comes to the gas stove, I'm going to heat my tortillas
on my gas. And let's say, unless you can't, but the way they get you is they say, we're not going
to set you. It's illegal to sell gas stove tops stove away. They're just going to not let me buy a new one.
And so until we get maybe Republican leadership back, some of this was going on in the 70s until Reagan came in and was like, listen, no more, and kind of brought freedom back to the country.
But I think things are way different now than they were in the 70s.
And so, again, this is a theme that we always have on our podcast, but you have to fight for your freedom. You have to defend your freedom.
And when those out there who try to take it away make the effort, you have to fight back and push
back because it is yours. It's planted in your heart. Your freedom was not given to you by your
government. It was given to you by God. And you have to fight those who want to take it away.
So are the Duffeys drawing the red line in gas stoves to heat tortillas? by your government. It was given to you by God. And you have to fight those who want to take it away.
So are the Duffys drawing the red line in gas stoves to heat tortillas?
We've never had a,
okay.
So we have a,
we have a small cabin in Wisconsin and we have an electric stove.
Cause you need a little small.
It's a small little spot. I wanted a gas.
You remember?
I was not happy with the cabin.
I didn't have a choice.
We've had one electric stove at our cabin.
She can't have tortillas there, but you might not know this, but we do actually have.
I can heat my tortillas on the barbecue.
You can, but she loves tortillas.
But I will say that, yeah, I think civil disobedience.
I think people need to push back.
People need to say, you know, don't give in to the rebates that your government offers you, your state government offers you to be part of their, you know, centralized control of your thermostat in your home.
Just don't submit and really think about who you're voting for because there are some, you know, elected officials who will defend your freedom and who will fight hard for you.
But you got to elect them. And my last point on this before we have to run is in the last election, there was a lot of conversation about radicals.
Republicans are radicals and they will list a whole bunch of things that Republicans are radical on.
no more radical of a party, trying to do more radical things to change the culture of America,
the makeup of America, the way we work, the way we buy, the value of our dollar,
our position on the global stage. All of these things have been radically changed by liberals.
But they're not traditional Democrats. They're not even liberals. They're leftists.
And so there'll be a winner and there'll be a loser.
There will be.
And who wants to win?
Who wants to lose?
They're fighting like hell to win.
We need Republicans,
not just in the Congress,
but in homes across America
to fight as well.
Yeah, they are waging a war
on modern life.
And it's up to us to put an
end to it. The climate change agenda is not about the climate. It's totally about control. It is.
And every now and then, one of them, the masks will come down and they'll actually tell the
truth about it. Bill Gates has done it. The WEF has done it. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's
chief of staff actually said, everyone knows on the left that climate change isn't really about the climate.
It's about control.
So understand what they're doing.
Understand that they're waging a war on modern life.
They're waging a war on families.
They're waging a war on population.
We had Mark Morano on.
I asked him, what's the bottom line on this?
And he said, the bottom line is this is about population control.
That's the other thing.
So go back and look at that podcast with Mark Morano that we had.
It was a good one.
It was fascinating.
So can I say one thing?
We sit down together and we say, we're going to do a podcast for 15 or 20 minutes.
And it never lasts for 15 or 20 minutes.
However, today we are going to do a 20-minute podcast.
So I appreciate you all joining us.
It's a good conversation.
Again, you see the FAA doesn't work.
The borders don't work.
They want to take away your gas stove and your tortillas.
I don't know why they hate Miss Mexicans, Hispanics.
It's up to us.
Push back, fight back, win back.
That's right.
Thanks for joining us.
