We won out! We won out! We won out!
How did we determine the seating thing?
This is where you... Steinie didn't even want to battle with you for your good side this time.
Thank you. Thank you so much.
Yeah, it's a respecting.
I appreciate that.
Yeah.
I really do.
We got Brad back on the pod this week.
I'm back, baby.
Everyone's been asking for it.
I'm here.
We love having Brad on the pod, too.
I love Brad, bro.
This is a great podcast. I have a lot of fun doing it, and I'm happy to be here, man.
That's for sure.
How was Miami?
Miami's good.
Oh, it was good.
What'd you guys do?
We went to, was it, Universal.
Yeah, it's called Universal.
And we basically got like a VIP tour.
And because they kind of like walk you through these, like, the rides.
And they just walk you straight to the back and you get a hop on.
And we were basically drinking and just like fucking off having fun.
It was so good.
Last night I was like, seriously, I was high as fuck.
Going through YouTube, I thought Steve's channel was back because there were so many Steve titles.
Oh, okay.
I was like, holy fuck.
Steve's in 30 thumbnails in your four YouTube channels.
So let me explain this, right?
I have to do my boy a solid.
And I got to let him speak his truth because he's not on YouTube anymore.
So I'm making, I make videos on each channel.
And I didn't get to use Steve will do it.
I got to use Steve now.
I saw you use Steve to change it up a little bit.
I had to.
I feel like we had to because I also said canceled YouTuber in the pod thing.
With him in the thumb.
No, that's strategy.
How many Steve will do it thumbnails you think you got total?
Lifetime.
Oh, total?
Yeah.
30.
Triple digits or no?
I have a whole channel.
I have all, literally the life of Bradley Martin is the whole channel is Steve, basically.
Yeah, but you and Steve are hilarious together.
Yeah, they're great videos.
Oh, that's my boy.
And honestly, like I said, like, yeah, of course, I also, you know, on all those videos,
he's kind of sharing what's going on because he can't hop on YouTube and be like,
hey, guys, here's what happened, you know?
So.
Amen.
Power TV.
Yeah, from what I heard, too, I was telling them before, but I guess Steve can participate
in another YouTube channel as long as it's, like, very clear, like, he can never own another
channel.
Yeah.
That's gnarly.
That's what he's doing with you and Selena.
Yeah.
So I guess on the slight bright side, like, imagine they told us like,
yo, he can't even be in any of your guys videos.
Oh, my God.
That would be, like, it's already fucked,
but that'd be like really fucked.
I'd feel really bad about that.
That would be like.
Yeah.
Like, you're just not even on the internet anymore.
Yeah.
I think it's a control thing probably.
Yeah.
So they don't give,
because if he has his own channel, he controls it and then, I don't know.
Yeah.
Who knows?
We got some plans up the pipe, though.
Yeah.
He'll be good.
Yeah.
There's a video you guys, I saw that you guys were making.
Well, we did Asia.
Yeah.
So we did Indonesia and Thailand for a week each.
And we got some funny footage.
Yeah, shit was crazy.
Stephen Steining were beefing.
Oh, good, of course.
It's that fucking.
Fake, bro.
It's not real.
Is that fake?
It's fake?
For me.
Okay, that beef is actually, it's 80% real.
For him.
I got no beef.
Well, you have no beef because you shouldn't have any beef.
No, I love my people, bro.
Yeah, okay.
Me and Steve
You act like we don't talk still
Like still talk to him daily
You guys still talk
Should I face time and ask him real quick?
No I mean you don't need you
Why bother him?
I'll just go ahead
I'm just like I know he's at the gym right now
He just told me
He just told me he's at the gym
Why would you fucking ruin his set
Aren't you a gym bro?
I'm just gonna see like sometimes
Just said yo hitting legs today
Hit me later
That's what he said
Yeah
If he don't need to do all this
It would be so funny
Like please Steve
Please
Go ahead
I should have texted him prior
I make myself look stupid
It's probably
be fucking doing a, doing a, uh, jerking his dog off.
No, not jerking his dog.
He's, he's probably doing a hot cold.
So yeah, when we were out there, uh, um, see if he goes on these like crazy, um, I imagine
when he was out there in Thailand with you guys, was he going to like spas and stuff.
There was a sick gym.
It was like outdoor vibe and there was an outdoor cold tub.
Yeah.
Outdoor sauna, like a slightly warmer cold tub and a hot tub and a pool.
I'm sure he was doing all that.
Yeah.
We were there for like two.
hours a day. He goes back and forth.
Steve does this like, he's a crazy
person, though. Do you do cold tub?
Yeah. Well, every day I was out there with him, I did it.
Do you have one at your crib or now? I do. I have a cold in a hot tub
that I'll go back and forth. And as sauna.
And asana, yeah. I do it religiously.
Yeah. It was my first time doing the cold tub in Bali.
How cold was it though?
I don't know. It was cold. It wasn't that bad.
I don't think. No, we did one in. At the A.m.
I know. But like, the ice wasn't
fully like melted and shit.
But it was bad. Oh, you guys went to AKA?
Yeah. I love that place.
You've been there?
Yeah, hell yeah.
You went with Dan, right?
I went with Dan years ago.
Did you guys talk to Mike?
Yeah.
Yeah.
That gym's amazing, man.
It's sick.
The whole experience is cool.
Did you guys do any...
We sparred with like, we did 3B3
first like three more Thai guys.
But they're going easy on us.
All right, hold on, Steve, he's going, okay.
Here we go.
Dude, why do you have to do this?
No, I just have to ask, you know, Steve.
I'm on the pod.
Are you in Steini?
Is it real or is it fake?
It's real.
That's all I need to be here.
That's all I need to hear.
Thank you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm at the part right now.
It's good.
Yo.
Yeah, okay.
That's all we need to hear.
So you confirmed it.
That's what I said, fucker.
Yo, my bad.
I meant to text you back.
See,
told you it was real.
You know, Steve's wild, bro.
Holy shit.
You good over there, dude?
You're stressing?
No, I'm good.
You were stressing after that call.
No, I'm good.
You texted me like this so much, dude?
Because I can tell you're probably Texas.
You're like, yo, you're serious, dude?
Because I know your personality.
Steinie's fed up with the shit.
The trip was.
Well, he...
What happened, though?
I don't know.
We'll have to see the milk videos.
It comes in waves.
Like, it comes in waves.
So, like, there's times where we're boys getting along.
And then there's times where he switches on me.
You know, and Steve's got that tequila bottle in his hand.
Oh, yeah.
Like, he pulled me aside and he was like, hey, man, like, I want to talk to you.
And I was like, yeah, for sure, bro.
And he's like, I want to let you know, like, 80% of me likes you.
Like, you're a funny guy.
I like you.
And then there's the 20% that hates you.
That's Steve.
And I was like, and I was like, okay, so how do we get that 20% down to like 10%?
Yeah.
And he was like, dude, I don't know.
But like when I wake up in the morning, that first hour, like, all I think about is how much I hate you.
And I was like, bro, we got to fix this.
Like, we got to figure it out.
You can figure it out.
Yeah, we will.
So he's not a good heart.
No, it's all over time.
Yeah.
And I get where he's coming from.
You know, I still think about the LLC all the time.
Yeah.
So it's tough, bro.
Damn.
You know, probably probably could have handled it differently, but.
I sit back and I'm enjoying the content
I'm sure you are
I just it's a fucking
I'm sure you are
I love it
it's a funny
I'm glad you guys like that
because at night
I'm fucking don't sleep at night
you know why I enjoy it
because now I'm
Steve pissed on him
yeah
on a video
oh god
it was kind of funny
but like I thought it was funny
I just like it because I'm not the guy anymore
you know I'm not the guy
that's like the focus of like
the negative shit now
it's you
yeah we'll bring that back
no we're gonna keep this going
I'm gonna keep this going
I'm gonna keep this going
is the real scumbbag at heart
does he ever get physical with you
no
Okay.
What was the Jake Paul thing?
Was that, was that, was that, as that was a prank on Stein.
Okay.
Did you think that was real?
I thought that me and Julia's shit might have been real.
Of course you did.
You always do that.
No, I'm just kidding.
I knew it was fake, bro.
I'm not an idiot.
I know I'm not pulling Julia Rose.
With Jake there.
That's, that's, that's Cap.
No, that is Cap.
How could you possibly know?
With Jake there.
How could you possibly know it was a prank right away?
Maybe when Jake came in, you had thoughts.
It was a prank.
When Julia walked up to you, like, you didn't know was a prank.
No, that's, you didn't know.
I didn't know at that point, but I'm also not stupid.
She walked up to Stiney, talked to him for 10 seconds.
The first thing he does, he turns to me and says, yo, I think, I think Julie is into me.
Right.
So stupid.
Okay.
You think the same thing about Noel and all the girls, bro.
He always said the same shit.
I've gone with her straight up.
He DM that other TikTok chick, Nessa Barrett.
Jesus Christ, bro.
This is dope.
No, bro, just own it.
Who cares?
No, yesterday he's like, yo, should I DM that Nessa chick?
I'm like, who?
He's like, Nessa Barrett.
I was like, bro, you can't pull that.
That was more of just like a test to see if he,
and he was right, like, didn't open it, I unsent it and shit.
You unsent it?
Yeah.
It was more of just like a thing, like, would this work or not?
How long did you leave it out there?
How long did you leave it?
What was your day?
It was so bad, too.
He screenshotted one of her songs and sent it to her and then said, like,
hey, just want to let you know, like, this song's got me through, like, some real dark times.
That was your, that was your, that was a fucking smart move.
Garbage slide.
Garbage slide.
What's your go-to?
You just can't slide on that.
Like, she's at 7-mill.
You're at 700K fake.
Yeah, straight.
I was going to say that.
Yo, can we talk about this for a second?
Yo, you're funny as fuck for that, guy.
Because I wanted to talk about this shit.
So we wake up.
Bro, this is been the worst thing ever for me, by the way.
Whoever fucking did this shit.
We're in Miami.
I wake up.
I'm just like scrolling through IG.
I was looking at Stiney because he posted something.
And then I look, and I knew he was around like 170 or some shit.
Yes, accurate.
And then I look and like, he's at like 300.
Yeah.
The next day.
And I'm like, what the fuck?
Yeah.
And then I look around.
I looked at gambling.
too and he was around like 70 80 and now he's at 140 and I know that they went out I went to bed I think a little earlier than them so they were out like mingling with some Miami like social media guys oh shit and then the next day they come back with like double their followers you went fucking bro I they both deny it he thinks that I'm pranking him I would admit it by now they did it bro I did not do it video it's like Jake Paul says yo get your cloud up and you can get a girl like that Austin did that I didn't even know he was gonna do that yeah and then they shoot up my following and all it's done is fucked my entire page
because all I have is bots now.
But now he's at 700K.
Damn, dude, you almost got a mill.
That's sick, dude.
Yeah, I mean, it's not really flex.
It's not real, so it's not that sick.
Yeah, it is kind of embarrassing.
It's fucked up everything, bro.
So many bots sucks.
Yeah, you got to remove that.
Yeah.
Why would you do that, though?
I didn't do it, bro.
I swear on my life, I would never do that.
I would never waste money like that.
I think they were just really fucked up, both of them.
And they're like, yeah, that's possible.
They were zapped like 4 a.m. at live.
And then some guy walked up and he's just like, yo, like, I can run you guys up on the gram.
and they're both like, yeah, do it.
I feel like that's true.
Well, I don't have recollection of that,
but that is a possibility.
Damn.
Because you thought it.
Bro, if you were zinged at 4 a.m.,
you'd be like, do it.
It depends on who was at the table.
Well, I want to know his story now.
Is that what happened?
I think so.
Maybe you just orchestrated it.
Have you bought followers in the past, though?
No.
That's what I said.
I'll tell you why that's cap is because...
Kudos said you did.
No, I never bought followers.
He said, this is funny.
I never bought followers.
No, neither of all, but he jumped.
60k and then mine's like jumped 300 400 yeah because you were the big boss you know you're like
do my more make sure i think stearney bought gambols just to make himself i'm telling you right now this is how
sick that this is how sick kyle and i was got ours they like figure out how to finesse me and be like
okay he's gonna say that yo jimmy it happened to jimmy too i got lots of ideas i would admit if this one
was a prank by now yeah he would well someone did it and it i don't appreciate it but it's whatever
it's really funny though whatever you'll probably be at two mill by the time after this pod
yeah fucking 15 mil if i wasn't on private bro would not stop you're gonna pass me in brats
ad soon that yeah yeah yeah you're like the world record egg dude that's the way you're
your own podcast yeah that's the worst though because then you have 15 million followers
and you're getting 2k likes and then you're just like fuck yeah it's not good man yeah it's not a good
no good thing i didn't do that yeah but whatever fuck that that that suck i'm pulling this chick
from brad's gym he's not sure her name's angelina i faith i see a photo oh yeah yeah i got you
but uh she said i have to bench 225 if i can
225 one time, then we go on a date.
She didn't...
I swear, I'll show you.
Oh, yeah, show me.
So I need whatever you're on, straight up, ASAP.
I need whatever you got, bro.
Give it to me all of that.
Can that get me to 225?
I've seen her in your shit, yeah.
I don't think that's going to get you to 225.
Fuck, she's jacked, eh?
Well, she's not, yeah.
She don't look as crazy in person.
She looks like crazier on photos, I'd say.
Like, like, aesthetically, when you talk about muscular, but...
How beautiful is she?
She's beautiful.
Yeah.
Yeah, no doubt.
Do you think gym girls like this, like would they ever get with like a non-jacked guy, though?
I don't think so.
No, I don't know if you need to necessarily be like a big jack guy.
No, if you need to be shredded.
They probably, I don't know about being sure.
I think they probably do like bigger guys though.
Bigger.
Because they are bigger.
You know what I'm saying?
So you need to be like big.
Just probably bigger than.
Not necessarily shredded.
Yeah.
I don't think you need to be like a crazy gym bro in shape.
But I think you just need to be like bigger than an average because they're bigger girls.
Yeah.
That's why I feel like personally, like I know my strength and weaknesses by now at this point of my life.
Like when I look at girls like that, I'm like, I just don't think I could pull that.
So I, like you, I don't know.
But you have different circumstances.
You could pull that.
You think?
What the fuck does that mean?
Bro, you guys are on different levels.
I mean, I'm just being honest here.
Yeah, but how are you so confident that he could just do that?
Well, there's multiple reasons why.
Listen, there's a few reasons why.
Brad's seen me wheel.
I have seen him wheel.
You've seen me wheel.
And also status.
Fucking 0 for one.
Status.
I'm just saying.
I might be at 5 mil.
Yeah.
But I'm talking about actual though, right?
like owns the shit like you know yeah no you're right that's a real thing i mean let's be honest
it's okay it's a real thing you don't have to be you sound like andrew tate right now i'm just
but it's a real thing i know it's not even like a bad thing it just is what it is it's like
i think girls are just attracted to success yes exactly that's exactly it and do you think
they're always trying to get something out of you or they're just naturally attracted to it no
i don't think it's just what it is the success is the introduction like if you're successful
that gets you in the door and then if they don't want that from you they got to actually
like you. Well, I think in the beginning, they always have an ulterior motive. Because everyone's
always like, oh, they're just using you. They're just using you. Like, unless you're like posting
her, that's different. But like, if you just smash a chick, it's like, I don't know what she's
using me for. What's wrong with that? Look at it this way, though, right? If we talk about success,
your success is someone's, like, movement in life, right? So if you look at someone's success,
you go, oh, that person is driven. Oh, that person is smart. That person is cunning, whatever.
How did they got further because, like, their success. So they're attracted to that.
Not necessarily like, oh, I just want dollars from a person. But I'd be attracted.
because I'd be attracted to someone that has something that they're doing in their life
or that they're passionate about that they're working like obviously you had to be passionate
to get to this point in your life you had to be like smart to try to figure out how to set all this
stuff up do all this stuff so if I'm a girl I'm thinking like I'd be attracted to that because
you're attracted I think vice versa too yeah exactly like people say like I wouldn't want to date a girl
with like money and ship I would find that yeah I think that's speaking of I sure you saw the
only fans chicks brought in 3.6 billion dollars in one year I think it was 4.6 I think it was
3.6, but still, bro, like, there's chicks out there with money like that now.
We were chilling with, uh, Celine brought this girl, uh, Katie Sigmund.
I know her.
Yeah.
She's like, I mean, she's making it in fucking like, yeah.
It's, it hurts to hear that.
Yeah.
She got more money than me.
I know it's crushed, bro.
It's tough to hear that, bro.
I mean, it's just, it is what it is though.
It's like the age old thing.
But you know what's funny is we, everybody that's saying, yo, that's so fucked up that
that they can make money that easy are all the guys that are giving her the fucking money to
right that way.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
It's our fault.
Have you guys ever?
No, I just like, I'm not even hating.
I just like, I don't know.
I'm too lazy to do that.
Like, set up an account and like go in and like pay and shit.
I'd never done.
I'd rather just, I'd rather just rip porn hub.
Like, yeah.
I wouldn't do only fans.
Like, I don't know.
I don't, it's a certain person that's doing it.
I don't know.
I can't relate to it.
I've the only, only fans of I've seen is like the inside of fucking.
That's like Chaffy.
Like Chaffy is a fucking only fan.
For sure.
Yeah, his bills, he's spending 5K a month for sure.
He's paycheck to paycheck because the only fans probably
Oh yeah
He's even paycheck to paycheck
He looks like an only fan's jerk for sure
He does
Yeah he does
Well you told me you're into like torture shit
Torture shit
Yeah like the torture porn hub stuff
You just making shit up right now
Fight and fuck
You told me that one time
I'm square
So you're gonna start making shit up on the podcast
You'd think I'm not gonna destroy you on this
Well you make up shit about me
Just hold on a second
Be sure you want to have this
And you want to start this
Because I'm gonna make you look real stupid
Okay
So do you or do you not like torture porn
It's a question now
Okay.
You sure you want to go this route?
No, I'm done.
Okay.
Okay, sorry.
Smart.
What's torture porn?
Like handcuffs?
Dude, there's like fucking UFC fight wall banging.
It's like weirdest shit I've ever seen.
So the interesting part about this now is like, why do you know about that?
It just popped up.
It's like a 4U page.
Oh.
But like not based on what site.
I'm porn up, but not based off of what you previously watched.
It's just like, what's hot right now?
What side are you looking at?
Pornhub.
Pornhub.
Yeah.
You see people fighting?
There was one quick video.
I watched like 15 seconds of it because I wanted to see.
who won the bout.
Did you finish?
No.
No.
Okay.
It's just interesting how you knew about that
because I didn't know about that.
Okay.
Okay, dude, we'll move on.
You don't have to fucking sue me now.
Because we can do this.
No, we're good.
All right.
I mean, I'm ready for the jabs, bro.
No, we're good.
I've been doing this.
I'm like a vet, dude.
I'll come for you.
I'll make you feel real, real silly.
Do we know where Nav is?
I didn't ask.
If you're a rapper, you've got to show up at least 30 minutes later.
Nah, I think, I think because he's a Canadian?
15 minutes.
So you think Drake's showing up on time?
Fuck, no.
Drake's probably going to book it.
We're going to be there.
And he's going to be like, oh, tomorrow, let's just run it tomorrow.
Everyone will be sent up.
Yeah, that's like.
But if it was Drake, you'd be like, cool.
That's kind of like a cool thing that they have, though.
It's like, you know what?
I know.
Do you see what Drake?
Do you see that?
He's like, even if, like, when Drake sends me a song back, he's like, I just like what
Drake likes.
Like, he's like, I might hear the high hat and be like, eh, it needs to be turned
up a bit.
He's like, just not even going to say it.
Like, I'll just, whatever Drake likes I like.
Like, why is that so crazy?
It's like LeBron or Steph Curry telling his team,
yo, we want to run this play, like say less, to the coach.
Yeah, I mean, you get to that level and it just is what it is.
You know, obviously, you know the sounds people like.
You've made those decisions for so many years.
I mean, dude, he's been in the game forever.
It's actually crazy.
And he's been on top of the game forever.
Yeah.
I'm trying to think.
Like, I remember I was in, like, just graduating high school,
and I'm 33, so that's a long-ass time ago.
And I remember he's just popping off.
And, like, he's still the man.
There's a, that new podcast that we,
we brought under MBH, we brought them under our wing.
They just did, they did one with Boy Wanda, and it was really good.
You know, Boy Wanda?
Yeah.
Like, he's produced, like, endless Drake songs.
Like, he produced, like, forever by Drake.
He did forever?
Yeah, like, he's, like, one of the biggest producers ever.
Now has done some stuff.
I was just, I listened to that one, and I was like, it was cool hearing about, like,
like, he talked a lot about how Drake, him and Drake, like, came up.
Yeah.
It's, like, crazy.
I got to listen to that one.
It's sick.
I listen to the whole thing.
is back then without SoundCloud
and when social media wasn't as popping
like Low Wayne and Drake
dominated everybody
and Rick Ross I guess a little bit
and then now like there's fuck dude
there's so many fucking rappers
it's saturated now
it's so saturated
and I think Nav came up a little bit on SoundCloud
like his first big viral hit was on SoundCloud
and even today like that Yee guy
yeah that's a new one
he's only popping really I think because TikTok
like all of his songs I mean he's got good ones
but TikTok blew him the fuck up
So is, like, TikTok, like the new SoundCloud?
What's going on here?
That's what I think, bro.
Yeah.
I know people ask me, like, how do you blow up now?
I'm like, I don't know, dude.
I think it's TikTok.
Yeah, I know.
But like, yeah, I know, but like, yeah, no, it is TikTok for sure.
But, like, I don't, you know.
Well, that's so different now.
Yeah, the difference is like, you can blow up.
YouTube's like good luck.
Yeah, absolutely.
Like, YouTube's tough.
But TikTok is like, you can blow up, but then how do you make the most of it?
That's where it gets confusing.
I don't think you can, you can, how do you monitor?
You got to take TikTok to something else.
if you do it right.
Yeah.
Like promoting the videos or promoting that?
Yeah,
I think so.
I think if it's like a bang or clip
and you have the link in your bio.
Okay.
I think if you make the caption,
not like the thing on screen.
Right.
The caption, like full video link in bio
and the caption on the screens,
whatever.
I feel like our Andrew Tate one,
that's why that.
Obviously it's Tate,
but I think because it was all over TikTok
and then people just go to YouTube
and they're like,
Tate or Andrew Tate,
no, boys.
Yeah, boom.
That's what they do, you know.
I've noticed I've done that too.
I'll see a clip on TikTok.
Then I'll go to YouTube and just type like whatever it is.
That's the other major difference.
On Instagram,
you're never going to your Explorer page
and seeing random shit on TikTok.
You only see random shit.
So like people that have never heard of that person will see clips.
100%.
Yeah.
So that you bring in a whole new audience from TikTok because it's all random, bro.
Yeah.
It's such a good platform for this now.
It's crazy.
It's crazy how people were saying, me included like that it wasn't going to last.
Me too.
I know.
Yeah.
But I think it's their algorithm that changed the game, right?
Like the concept of when do you ever on YouTube?
Rarely you get recommended something with like five views.
Like I'll open up TikTok and something will get recommended to me with two likes.
Yeah.
You've never,
you don't see that on YouTube.
It's only popular shit.
So they change the algorithm.
It's like they're just spewing.
How do you think they were able like how were they able to pull that off?
Like, and why did other platforms not do that?
They just,
they only showed you what was popular.
Like why do you?
I mean, I guess the concept of spewing random shit out of you is kind of,
it's kind of simple but also weird at the same time right yeah dude they crushed it man
ticot is the wave we met someone on our flight home from singapore and she said i think they're
about to pass facebook in like no way overall users in youtube in like a year whoa that's what she said
that's insane dude still chinese that's why they're switching up all this stuff on instagram lately
like i know real it's been like going wild like i open up my instagram a few days ago and it's like i see
the same stuff from like weeks ago.
I'm like, what the hell?
Like post after post.
Stuff I also already engaged with too.
It's a weird thing.
Instagram's sweating right now probably.
I mean, they're still active.
I don't know.
I'm definitely sweating.
It's definitely,
it still always feels like a platform where you know you're on TikTok,
but you get,
it's almost like you go to Instagram
and you get to know more about a person.
Yeah, Instagram's way more personal.
Yeah.
I don't think they'll lose that.
You actually can build like your page and yourself and TikTok is just like,
random shit.
I guess what the company's worried about too is like these big ass companies come in with
like big bags ad spends, right?
And they're probably like, all right, where should we spend it?
Should we spend it at Facebook?
Should we spend it at YouTube?
Like, 200 million dollar ad spends, right?
Yeah.
Like I saw Joe Biden just spent money on TikTok.
What do you mean?
Like for like election shit.
Wow.
Where did you see that at?
I saw it somewhere.
That's wild.
Could be cap.
I don't know hard, I guess.
I mean, where else would you do it now?
I feel like every kid
that is like young
young kids are they use that shit every day
more than Instagram but now it's just like everyone uses it
yeah I don't even young kids right I get lost on there
fucking bad I know it's actually the kind of app that I'm watching
I have to like they're like oh like taking myself off
and do I what the fuck am I doing I get stuck on it
dude they're stuck in the Matrix dude it's crazy
yeah who do you guys think the worst in the crew is like as far as like
insinuating like turning up him
really yeah well we we're not
I don't see that.
Well, I mean, I'm not like all the time, but like when I get the itch, nothing's
also can't say no.
Like when you get that idea in your mind, you're like, I'm firing tonight.
Like, there's nothing stopping me.
He's also the one that sets it up.
So if he's not going out, we're playing out going out.
Yeah.
Well, that's the same reason why if he's the one who's like, he's going to do it, then everyone does it.
Every single time, it's, you know, let's just take it easy, not go too hard.
And then it's fucking three or four and.
I've heard that before.
Every time, bro.
It's like, why do we even say that?
I've heard it so many times.
Because people force us.
to drink, bro. It's fuck, you know?
Like you have any excuse? You're like, yo, like, I'm a gym guy.
I don't drink. For them, they're like,
what the fuck you mean? You're like, you're not going to shotgun?
Yeah, especially if you're out in public.
You're done for it.
So it was like, you fucking loser.
I went to Kiki on the river and told myself I was just going to smoke Kuka and I got back
at 7 a.m.
Yeah, I just went there and yeah, I watched fucking 6'9 get beat up by his girlfriend.
Oh, yeah. How was that?
It's fucking intense.
Like, were you involved or you're just a bystander?
I was just sitting in the corner.
Did you kick his ass?
Not really.
I thought it was like a whole group kind of teaming up.
Nah.
It was when they went outside.
I thought you were the type to slide for your boys, though.
I'm not going to, what?
Like, at least break it up.
Ah, there was cops.
There was a bunch of stuff going on.
It was, yeah.
It was crazy.
Would you slide for me?
If you were getting beat up by a girl?
No, a guy.
Yeah, absolutely.
Thank you.
Yeah.
That goes without saying.
A girl, though, for sure, if you were getting beat up, I would laugh.
I'm not even going to lie to you.
I'd be like, damn, that sucks, bro.
I'm not jumping in there.
That's fucked, yeah.
I don't see that happening, but yeah.
Maybe it could.
At zoo culture, like maybe a gym chick.
Like, WMBA chick, come and just knock you out.
That's some shit that would happen to me.
It is, though.
I feel like it is something that would happen to you.
Fuck, Nav.
Nav in the house.
I feel like this been a long time coming.
I'm telling you.
They're watching our shit for a minute.
Hell yeah.
I know, I've been talking, we were just saying, it's been like, what, a year?
We've been trying to do this?
Yeah.
Fuck yeah.
Do you, uh, do you hit the, you've been hitting any of the weekend concerts?
I see one yesterday.
You went?
Yeah, it was crazy.
That's lit.
Are you going tonight too?
Hell yeah, y'all going?
I think so.
Yes, sir.
I think we have to.
Right.
Yeah.
Um, so what's good?
The album's out.
It's about to be.
September 9th.
By the time, by the time we're uploading this, it's going to be out tomorrow, I guess.
Right.
Which is crazy.
Cash sent us some of the tracks.
It's fire.
Thank you.
like one of your, it might be like your best album, from what I heard.
I agree. I feel the same way.
Where do you think it ranks?
For sure, number one.
I mean, the first album, the self-produced one is hard to, you know, it's always been hard
to top, but I think this one is very close to being as good or maybe better.
So when you say self-produced, like the entire album?
My first album, I did it all myself.
Yeah.
I recorded myself on like $100 microphone.
Even like Beavs in the Trap, did that at my mom's crib before I met cash and stuff, you know?
And yeah, so that first album, everybody's.
you know, your first album was the one they always so attached to and they wanted that sound.
So I feel like I gave him like a good quarter of this album is that sound.
I have a question.
How did you, how did you transition into, because I know you kind of do everything in regards to making the music.
And when did you transition to be like I'm going to be like an artist versus just a producer, you know, and all the other.
Well, I started making beats when I was 16.
I just always been interesting in how a song is made like from the beginning to the end, like the equipment, how to use it, everything.
I never really wanted to be an artist at first.
So I was a producer and an engineer.
And I used to sell beats for like $200,300 in Toronto.
You know how it is with the rappers over there.
And I used to record people on the spot.
So if you want to buy a beat, I record you right now.
So I did that for like 10 years.
And then I quit music a couple times, try to do regular stuff.
Quit that, went back to music.
When I went back to music, I was like, damn, I'm having a creative block trying to make all these beats.
So sometimes I have a song ideas with a voice that I could make a beat around and then take the voice out.
So one of them, I sent to one of my friends as an artist and he told me,
yo, put that shit out, and I fucking contemplated for like two days.
And then put it out and shit just got like instantly like 5,000 plays.
I was like, that's a lot, you know?
And it just kept going up from there.
What song was that?
Was that the simple?
No, make your mind up.
It's an old one.
Like the OG fans know.
Take Me Simple was the one that turned up first on SoundCloud with OV Radio and all that stuff.
How many plays that take me simple gig?
When I made, gosh, it was probably like 120,000.
Okay.
So he found me early.
Oh, shit.
When I had like 4,000 followers.
This is sound game.
Yeah.
What were you?
What were you producing on back then?
On Logic.
Still on Logic.
But yeah, like, he found me that time early,
and I got my first million plays on myself at his house.
That's crazy that you started making beats.
That's dope.
I read something the other day that on myself,
because I saw it got up to $10 million pretty quick,
that Kylie Jenner did, like, a video of her singing the lyrics.
Yeah.
And the plays went up by 300% after that.
I had met Cash already when she did that,
but we hadn't, like, signed anything.
Or, like, we just met each other in L.A.
I'm in the mall and I've seen that
and I called him like,
yo, you did this?
Like, you pulling the strings
because he was pulling some strings for me.
He's like, nah, shit, it was natural.
I'm like, what?
I started celebrating.
I was in eating center.
Damn.
I couldn't believe it.
It was crazy being in the mall
and being like, damn,
like, I'm about the bluff of Nundies.
You believe and know who I am.
You went and caught the Canada goose
right after that.
He's like, I'm here.
Monclay's in North Face is for sure.
Monclare.
So what's the process like?
Like, what is the hardest part of making a song?
Because you do everything, right?
Yeah.
Like from A to Z?
Yeah. What do, what would you say is the hardest part of it, like the beat making, the content, like, lyrical part?
For the beat making process, the hardest part is getting like a chord progression and melody that just sticks.
Like, you know, playing piano and stuff. I learned piano at like the age of 21. It was tough for me.
Like, you know, when you a kid, it's easy to learn that shit.
Full on play the piano.
Yeah, yeah. Like, I'm like, you know, a six, seven out of ten. Enough to get around, you know?
And then that's probably the hardest part on the beat side. On the lyrical side and recording is, you know, picking the right pockets and the right content, you know?
is having a good, strong topic for the song.
So what's the process like, though?
How do you know, like, when you hear the song,
where you made the beat, how do you know, do you go content first,
like lyric first or you go beat first?
If it's a song produced by me, beat first,
and then, like, I just change the temple of the beat
until I find the right sweet spot,
change the key of the beat until I find the right sweet spot,
and I find, like, a flow and a melody,
then I'll try to find the right words.
That's it.
Yeah.
What was, like, the first big beat you made for someone?
Back to back for Drake.
That was like, that was the first big one.
That's like a big...
You did the whole thing?
No, I produced it, co-produced it with Dax.
Okay.
What was your role in back-to-back?
I knew that you produced that.
That's pretty fucking insane.
So we started that beat, like, it was the first time I ever worked with him with Dax and...
So you guys were, like, together in the studio?
Yeah, it was like 3 a.m.
And I'm the guy, like, I play melodies.
And then they like to do drums on it.
You know what I mean?
So it's like 3 a.m. and I burnt out.
I was hungry.
I didn't want to do another melodies.
I'd go do one more.
That one more I did.
did like six melodies stacked up, made a beat on it.
It was slow.
It was half the speed of the song when it came out.
They doubled the speed, took off like five melodies,
just kept that main chord progression.
And that was it.
Well, when you gave it to him, were you like,
this is the beat that's gonna end the career?
I had no connections at that time.
I didn't know cash, I didn't know anybody.
I just make a beats.
So you didn't know what it was for?
No, I just saw it come out.
Oh, shit.
You just saw it come out?
Yeah.
And like, did you just hear?
And you're like, yo, what?
Yeah, like, wait, is that my shit?
Like, what the fuck?
Didn't a bunch of people work on that track though?
I think 40 also worked on it too
So that's three
So did Drake write the lyrics though
Do you know?
Yeah
Oh he wrote the whole thing
Yeah I'm pretty sure you did yeah
Shit
That song went fucking crazy
That shit went crazy
I mean back to back
That's like that's crazy
What did you
What does that do for you
What do you do after that?
You're like fuck bro
It didn't really do much initially
You know what I mean
It was later on when
The artist side started taking off
That's why I'm glad
I didn't take off as a producer first
Then people are like
Oh you're trying to rap now
You know what I'm saying?
they knew me as an artist first.
Then they had to go find out, oh, shit, he makes his beats.
So that kind of worked out perfectly.
Did Drake hit you up and be like, yo, bro, this is fucking hard?
He followed me.
Oh, shit.
Yeah, that was crazy.
That was it.
Wait.
Are there any other, like, big collabs like that people wouldn't know about that are, like,
you produced or that people wouldn't know of?
Upcoming.
I've been way more on the beats now.
I took a break from me and went all artist mode.
And now I'm making so many beats every day.
I had a session with Don Toll over the other day.
They did, like, three joints on my beats,
and shit's just moving again.
That's sick that you can still, like, go back and, like, make beats for other people.
Yeah.
That's, that's, that's, uh, that's fun.
Well, we were talking because we, we were listening to the album on the way up here.
Um, the feature list is fucking crazy, bro.
Right.
You Uzi, little dirk, little baby, future.
Yep.
So is that, like, a respect thing?
Like, how, because I, I always wonder, are they fucking, are they charging you?
Uh, no.
So this is just like a respecting and they just get on the track?
Yeah.
We just fuck with each other, you know?
And, like, you know, cash has his relationships.
I have my relationships.
I get to know them.
And I pretty much fuck with the same people every time.
Just now we did different flavors of the song.
Yeah.
Like the last album, we did a song,
The Future is more aggressive.
This one's more smooth.
Yeah.
They're my favorite artist.
Yeah, he was,
Kyle was telling me that you and Uzi have like a pretty good relationship.
For sure.
Like Beavis and Butthead.
Yeah?
Yeah.
How'd you meet Uzi originally?
How did I meet Uzi?
Me and Bucks went to his show in L.A.,
one of his early shows.
And he was like kind of surprised that I like know him.
And I was surprised he knows me.
Then we linked up.
he went on tour with the weekend in London
and Cash brought me along just to go see what tour is like
and we just hung out and went crazy over there.
Yeah, that's dope.
That was like 2016.
Yeah, like I was telling Stein to you,
like you're just one of those guys that like all the other rappers
like respect too.
Do you do you credit that to like your overall like musical talent?
Like how you can make beats, you can rap, you can sing?
I mean, the guys that I don't really think they care about that.
They care more about like, I'm a chill person.
I'm cool.
So that's just like a genuine connection.
Yeah, I'm just cool.
Like, I'm no pressure vibes, you know what I mean?
That's dope.
I was going to say, do you do favors for people just beats, like, or do you charge whenever, like, you do up-and-coming people?
Honestly, it's been a while since I produced just for people.
I'm starting again now.
So, that's a cash question.
Okay.
My bad.
Yeah.
We charge it, though, for sure.
Yeah.
How about features?
How does that work?
If I have a genuine relationship with you, never charge.
If it's like, you know, we just email and stuff.
Yeah.
Makes sense.
The best is I saw feature charging, Megastine 250 for that.
Have you seen that?
I couldn't really.
Damn.
Crazy, bro.
What?
He treasure $250K for his verse on her track.
That's what they said, but is it true though?
No, she said that.
Going off of back to back, I heard that you had a song with Drake that snuck on this album.
Yeah.
You know, Drake's an amazing person.
We hang out all the time in Toronto.
We did a song.
I feel like, you know, we could have done a better song and the time frame was just, you know, not good, it didn't work out.
And like, you know, he's such a big artist that.
I didn't want to put the song on the album and have take away from anything else on the album.
And you know what I mean?
Like take away life from all the other moments.
So you had a song with Drake and you're purposely not putting it on your album?
Sort of.
Yeah.
Wait.
I mean, that's pretty crazy, though.
Yeah, it does sound crazy.
You mean, you mean like take away from the rest of the album just like as a whole piece of content?
Or like, it wasn't going to be what you wanted it to be because you don't have enough time?
We could have also made it.
We could have made a better song.
We both agreed on that.
And then on top of it, it's like, you know?
If we just put it on just because of that, it's going to take away from like,
we got some moments in that.
Got it.
Do you let him know, like, hey, man, this is just not going to go on the album?
Yeah, for sure.
And he's like, we're like, we should lock in again.
And we just couldn't find the time he was busy doing stuff.
I was busy.
I had to fly to do a show.
And it just, you know, that's how it works.
Because we saw, I saw that video of, like, DJ Khalid.
Like, he's like, if Drake sends me something, like, even if I hear the high hat needs to be turned up,
like, I'm like, he's not turning the high hat up.
Like, he's like, I like what Drake looks.
So you're like the opposite.
Like, you're like, yo, if I don't just, like, fuck with the song,
it doesn't matter who it is.
There's been times that I did songs with people and they didn't put me on their album
and I just respect their vision.
Yeah, I mean, that's how it is.
Are you cool with that if they're like, yo, bro, we're not going to use this?
Of course.
Whatever you want to do, I was supposed to be winning your way.
Yeah, it's got to be me, I'm winning too.
Yeah, so it's about the music then.
Right, 100%.
I'm a music person.
So you talked about the vision.
How are you determining what each album, like, feels like?
Because I know this one is a little bit more like,
I didn't hear it, but I was watching like an interview about you,
you talking about it, is a little more like, I don't know, is it more heartfelt?
Yeah, more vulnerable.
I wanted to be real, you know, I wanted to stop holding back.
And I really wanted to make sure, like, I took, take notes from what it was missing from
the other albums.
They wanted OG nav vibes.
They want like, you know, better lyrics, stronger topics.
So I made sure on this album, my focus was, if you asked me what a song is about, I could
tell you right away what's about.
Bro, we were, we were listening and I was just like, I was listening to the lyrics.
There's a lot of, like, talk about death and depression on there.
Right, because it's real, people go related.
I gotta hear this.
Yeah.
But like, are you going through that?
Because it seems like a lot of rappers
are always rapping about death and depression.
I feel like I was the purest when I first came in the game.
And then the fame and the money kind of fucks with your head.
And I'm coming back, like, out of it now.
And I'm like...
What's the first thing you fucked with, though?
Like, your interpersonal relationships?
Like, did you make people look like...
Imagine, like, everybody else around you,
either they're treating you better or worse.
Even if they're treating you better, it's weird.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Like, that's the kind of shit.
like fucks with your head and you don't know who to trust and who's around you like old friends
or new or new old or new the new ones even scarier but you got a you you got a like a small
like kind of like a knit group right like ex-o and everyone oh yeah family like literally like
family we're all have similar backgrounds do you do you remember that i met you before uh you look
mad familiar you know what i mean i see on the podcast all the time but like in person you
look mad we did we were playing uh we were playing pool out of party right right right yeah
did you guys play for money no i didn't win i wasn't pay his debts so yeah no really yeah
He throws me $1,000 right now.
That's not exactly cat.
Well, it's not exactly cat.
But anyways, at that party,
there was like, not many people.
There wasn't like a ton of celebrity.
It seemed to be like close-knit, you know?
And someone who was there,
who obviously is dealing with a lot of stuff right now, Thugger,
what is your relationship with him?
Damn, that's, like, when I think about how to be a better person or a good person,
that's my example
like he's taught me things like
he's helped me with my personal life
like one time we're at dinner
and I told him I'm like
I want to buy my mom this that
a car this all this stuff
but she'd be like I don't want it
and blah blah she's very humble
and he's like you gotta show them what they want
he's like my mom never wanted to go to Miami
when he took his mom to Miami
now she wants to go every month
every other month so he gave me real advice
with real life and countless other times
he gave me advice that really helped me in my life
just sit there playing video games with him
and just ask him everything
you're a big gamer
yeah
Yeah, what are you playing?
Right now, I'm not going to lie, some dumb shit, WWE.
Oh, shit.
Right?
FIFA.
FIFA.
A little bit Fortnite with Cashing them.
Okay.
Call of duty.
Of course.
I think you're the first guy I've ever met that says they played WWE.
Yeah, man.
Honestly, Cash got me on it.
It's so fun.
Probably just keep that on the down mode.
That shit is fire.
That's dull.
That's legendary.
So what do you think about his situation right now?
Dealing with all this.
It's unfortunate, you know, I'm sure.
I'm sure it's sort of.
He'll be fine.
Yeah.
He's in good spirits.
That's all that matters.
Yeah.
Have you talked to any of those guys since they've been like...
Yeah, through like Cash and them.
Yeah, they're just in good spirits.
It's all like, you know, laughing and acting like they normally would act.
Nice.
Stuff.
So with Exo, how involved is the weekend with your stuff?
Like, is he kind of a mentor to you?
Yeah, like, you know, even with his busy schedule, he notices everything.
Like one time we had an album where me and Cash approved the track list.
I think it was good intentions, right?
Yeah.
stake on it and he noticed it and I'm like wow like you really paying attention and we
have to fix the track list and then this time he like listen to the whole project and
rearranged like some of the track list and then we got used to the new track list and like wow
he's like really on it you know what I mean he's not on this album though right no not this one is that
is that like he's got he's been every day he's always busy like the HBO shit
all the stuff he's doing yeah how did you originally meet the weekend what was like that
cash cash like walk us through that like first like oh my god um
How'd you meet Cash, actually, too?
He got my friend Derek Wise to hit me
on DM because he was trying to get a hold of me
because he heard of my music and everything.
So I followed, we followed each other.
He got me.
First time I came to L.A.
It was just me and Cash hanging out.
Second time was when I met the weekend.
And I got off a flight.
I was wearing like a tech fleas.
I mean, I didn't have money or anything back then.
And he's like, you pull up to this house,
we were having a party straight off the flight.
And I've never, you know what I'm being off of a Rex deal?
Like, it's a total ago because I was like different.
That pull up and I walk in this big.
gas three level house in Hollywood like belly had and I see future I'm like tripping what the
hell I see Abel and Abel like talks to me and he sounds like somebody I went to high school with
and I'm like wow this is cool I just felt right at home right away and I was like fucking so star struck
by everything I was like snapping a little but I gotta show the homie's this I'm like you know what
for far and I was like yo it was crazy cash showed me a crazy experience he knew what he's doing
damn you got some replies to that snap job for sure right yeah it's just crazy well I mean you and able
I got along too, because Canada, yeah?
Yeah, literally, like, we went to high school.
So what, what's the, what's the deal with OVO and XO?
Are you guys competitive or?
Oh, not.
Everything's straight.
Everything is all the time.
Yeah.
Are you trying to start with those guys?
No, I'm just curious because it's like you got two top dogs in Canada.
Stani talks the most shit about Toronto.
Yeah, what the fuck?
I don't know why.
I go to Lizziez a lot.
You've been to Lizziez.
Like in Osmos?
Yeah, I know Osmos.
Yeah, so I go there a lot.
What's your, do you, do you rock Shormas when you're in Toronto?
Yeah, they're cool.
They cool.
The best places are in the West, like in Brampton and stuff,
and I'm always staying downtown, so it's tough to get a good one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What's your favorite spot?
I'd say Osmos is pretty good.
It's not bad.
There's other ones that are off-brand.
They have, like, names I can't remember.
When we're in the studio, I just ordered it.
Every time I go back home, I literally eat chicken on the rocks every day.
Yeah, you just got to watch what you put on it because your breath can be kicking after.
I know.
And it just gets, like, grows the barrel and shit.
The extra garlic sneaks up on you quick.
No, yeah.
But it's so far.
Have you tried it?
I don't know if it's exact one you were talking about.
But I've had garlic swammer as though
Yo, what are you into
besides music? Besides gaming
Because I know you're in gaming
Like, you want to happy dad?
Are you into like fashion?
Are you into anything like else besides?
Yeah, for sure.
I got into fashion lately, you know,
being around the people I'm around.
Not really, man.
I just, I really like watching movies.
Yeah.
Playing video games and making music.
That's dope.
Watching these shows and partying a little bit, you know?
You watching the new,
the new Game of Thrones?
I am.
Bro.
What?
The thing about episode shows
for me is I fall asleep
on like episode three
then I fucking wake up
the next day it's on episode six
and I don't know where I'm at
I don't want to go back
I like movies better
yeah
normally wait until it's all done
and just binge it at the end
what was it like
growing up in Rexdale
it's cool
like you know
when I first
started going to junior school
it was like most predominantly
white neighborhood
you know what I'm saying
everybody moved out
it became very multicultural
around like grade six
so it was just cool
and then I had a fucking
ice rink across the street
of my house played
ice hockey going up and shit, you know what I mean?
And it was just a fun time.
You can do what you want in Rex the...
Are you decent at hockey?
Yeah, hell yeah.
Really?
Hell yeah.
We should play.
I think I've seen you...
I saw you scared of the thing.
I've seen you guys play.
Roller hockey or ice.
Ice, bro.
You're on the ice?
Yeah, I'm Canadian, well.
Did you play like growing up?
Like in a league or anything?
Like little dumb house leagues and shit.
Most of like shinny and stuff, you know?
Nice.
Yeah.
That's dope.
Yeah.
He thinks he's, all these fucking Canadians think they're so good.
Anybody from Canada thinks they're good.
Do you think...
For Canada?
No.
Oh, okay, good.
You think ex-American?
I could, yeah.
Okay, cool.
Do you think you guys would dust the OVO boys in Puck?
I don't think any of them play.
They can't skate, right?
No, I don't think so.
I think the OVO boys stay away from the ice.
They hoop, though.
They hoop, do you play ball?
They're tall, too.
I don't know.
They're tall guys like, Chubs is crazy.
Yeah, they go serious on those ball quotes.
I see on Drake's stories and shit.
Yeah.
That's what.
Yeah, you got to get over there, maybe.
I want to hoop together, for sure.
Yeah.
I want to hoop together for sure.
Yeah.
Run them both.
Right.
There you go.
Skating will be unfair.
But yeah, I'm going to need one of their guys.
I'm going to need Jimmy.
My teammate.
So have you, I have a question for you.
What have you learned, like, the most personally since you've been in, like, the industry,
the music industry?
Like, what has, what have you learned, like, you know, from a personal standpoint?
Just, like, leave room for growth in your career.
Don't rush to do everything.
Don't be too vulnerable with people because they use it against you sometimes.
Yeah.
That's pretty much.
That's what I learned, a big picture.
Do you have, like, a goal that you really want to reach?
Man, we did number one albums already.
I guess a number one record on Billboard.
I want to produce a lot more songs for people.
Do you see yourself doing a lot more producing as you age?
Yeah, I found it, man.
I found it.
I started doing shrooms lately.
Oh, let's go.
Let's talk about this.
I love it.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
When Brad to hear shrooms?
Oh, you got to be hype, dude.
I'm lit right now.
You know what I mean?
I know what you mean.
What first got you into that?
I have a buddy who's like a sports agent.
He does investing and stuff.
And he just brought me these chocolate bars, the mantra bars or whatever.
So one day I'm like chilling in the house.
And I was scared because when I was 18, I was living like stupid, like being like a hood baby.
And I did shrooms like 3.5, like the caps.
And I tripped out.
I couldn't talk.
I was seeing fucking flying dragons coming at me like when I close my eyes.
But my friend who people used to call weird and shit, he was having a great time.
And it really bothered me.
You know what I mean?
I seen something that was wrong on myself.
So that made me graduate high school.
I spent an extra year in high school.
Nobody in my friend group graduated high school.
So it was very unmotivating.
So I graduated high school because of that.
Went to studio school.
Did that shit.
I feel like it just triggered from the shroom.
I need something that was wrong.
And then now when I come around like fucking 10 years later.
Hey, so what did you want to talk about?
Well, I want to tell you about Wagovi.
Wagovi?
Yeah.
Wagoe.
What about it?
On second thought, I might not be the right person to tell you.
Oh, you're not?
No.
Just.
Ask your doctor about Wagovi.
Yeah, ask for it by name.
Okay, so why did you bring me to the circus?
Oh, I'm really into lion tamers.
You know, with the chair and everything.
Ask your doctor for Wagovi by name.
Visit wagovi.combe.com for savings.
Exclusions may apply.
I'm like scared, but I'm like, wait, I'm successful.
Everything's good.
We need a penthouse chilling.
Like, let me just eat like half this bar.
Fuck it.
Yeah.
And it did wonders from me, bro.
What, though?
My confidence back.
It took my self-doubt out.
This is amazing.
I started creating, like, being more decisive when I create, like, just picking shit and sticking with it.
Do you ever microdose or do you, do you ever, like, dose before you make a day, like, eat like little pieces of the chocolate bar throughout the day.
Sometimes I just force the whole, like, you know what I'm saying?
Oh, you just go in.
Yeah, like, there's a teddy beer on my speak.
I see him blinking while I'm making beats crazy shit.
Damn.
Do you think it's made, do you think it's like added to the music for you?
Yes, it just brought the, like, took the soft doubt away.
That's amazing.
You microdose, though, no.
Oh, yeah.
the tripping stuff.
So, yeah, I mean, I've, I'm microdosis.
I've done it in spurts, and I've also done, like, actual trips.
It would be, like, 3.5 or something like that.
But it does wonders for, like, you said, the biggest thing, I think, is removing,
kind of like, your ego attachment to things.
So it makes you more like, oh, I'm just going to do what I think is best,
and you just kind of run it.
Yeah, and like, it, like, it, like, it brings, like,
they said when they scan your brain on shrooms, it, other things light up than I've
it opens up.
So I'm getting melodies from my subconscious, bro, that's just coming out, like,
and drum patterns.
Like, I don't even.
know where I'm getting them from.
Like, the other day, I like, I, like, remade a drum pattern from that song, Maria, Maria,
right?
Yeah.
Boom.
I did it, but I made it slower and did a trip your melody.
I'm like, what the hell?
What did I find that?
Yeah.
Well, I think it's, because it's in there already.
It's just like you have this natural, like, your, your consciousness is, like, all
the stuff you think you know, right?
Yeah.
And then all the stuff you know, but it's like deeper in your subconscious that it allows it
to go up without you feeling like judgey of what it is or what it is.
And your intuition becomes way better, sharper.
Yeah.
That's amazing, man.
When did you start doing this?
Four months ago.
Oh, that's life change.
Yeah.
So I made this song, one of my friends that passed away,
it's the last song on the album.
And I did that beat on Shrooms.
And I laid in my bed with the headphones on,
and I was sad, and I wrote the lyrics.
It's called Ball in Peace.
Oh, I can't wait.
I can't wait.
And I made that beat.
When you hear that,
on Trubes is taking me making it.
That's the last song.
That's where I went to.
How much do you start with if you're microdosing?
Like a gram is good of it.
A gram is a decent microdose.
Like an amateur.
That's a lot, sounds like.
Yeah, because like a trip is like 3.5 to 4.
5 is the one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But like you can do point 5, which is 500 milligrams.
You can do like you said, a gram, which is double that.
You can do 2.5,000, excuse me, 250, but you don't want to like, I would say if you're
going to think about doing it for real, you definitely don't want to overdo it.
Yeah, you know?
Yeah.
Yeah.
But at the same, at the same time, like, I would honestly really recommend just like put yourself
in a safe position and a safe space and like be mentally ready to like, okay, I'm going to do this.
he said he had a problem when he was younger and he did it and then he got older he's like
I'm successful now because it's all like set and setting where you're at in your mind so
if you're shroom tripping like a good amount like 3.5 but you've been worried about a ton
of shit in your life that's all going to come up yeah it's like a reset like yeah um I literally
go in my studio room it's all like orange soundproofing and I just tell my assistant I'll be
like yeah I'm going to therapy I just shut the door and I block it with the soundproof
wall thing I just stay in there and just like create you must love it has it has it helped you
with anything else in your life?
Like, any other personal things?
Yeah, like, the self-doubt, you know?
Yeah.
It made me share of myself.
Like, it's like, I feel like I got everything all over again.
I walk around my house, look at my plaques, I'm reading them, like, what the hell?
Like, that's me?
Like, that's me, like, look at myself, a third person.
Like, yeah, fuck with this dude.
I respect me.
He takes care of his people.
Yeah.
Because of his mom, everybody.
So, congratulations.
By the way, man.
Thank you.
It's amazing.
You've never, like, accidentally taken, like, 4.5 and, like, cried or freaked out.
No.
That's like when I was 18
That trip was terrible
It was really bad
See that's what scares me to rip it
Is like the bad trip
And people say like
People are like
It feels like I was there for like
A week or something shit
That doesn't
That's not
That's just cap
Yeah that's cap
You're not
You don't feel like you're on mushrooms
For a week
No
You're doing shit with your life
You'll feel good about yourself
Yeah
You're like what the fuck
I'm nut boys
I'm lit
Are there any other
Are there any other psychedelics
You've tried
Um
Because I did
I did mescalin
You know what that is
It's like a cactus
Oh yeah I've heard of that one
I've heard of that one.
San Pedro.
San Pedro.
No, not Iwaska.
I'm going to do that, though.
What the hell is mescalib?
So, okay, it's a cactus.
It's a cactus called San Pedro.
And it's like, I think the name is like Humacha or something like that.
But it's like a, it's like a smoothie.
You take it.
And you get similar effects to what mushrooms would give you.
It's just a little more of an empathetic.
Like it makes you a lot more open in your heart in the sense of like, you know, your trauma, your issues and stuff like that.
Whereas like mushrooms does that as well, but it's a little more like maybe,
visual and maybe not so much opening of, like, your emotion.
You're trying to be more affectionate to your main chick.
Dude.
Yo, I'm trying to fix shit in my life.
Yeah.
You know, like, genuinely.
I'm not out there doing it.
Like, I did it in, like, a ceremony setting and all that.
Like, it was, like, legit, you know, it was like a little shaman and all that.
Have you ever considered trying, like, ayahuasca?
Yeah, but I would do the shaman thing, you know?
You're going to do that?
I would do with the shaman.
Exactly.
That's what I'm saying.
Because I was going to go to Peru and do it.
But that'll be far.
Like, in a jungle for, like, a week.
Giving a scary, you might go there and, like, never come back?
Kind of.
Yeah. Kind of.
But I want to do it.
Because you get so fried from, like, everything.
Oh, yeah.
That's going on?
I really want to do it, though, man.
I find, do you see, like, what's his name recently?
Mike Tyson said, when we talked to him, he said, like, you need a shaman present.
Like, it's mandatory.
Yeah.
You've got to have a shaman.
And he said, but he said it just, yeah, it just destroys your ego.
Yeah.
Apparently, it does, it does what all these psychedelics do, but to, like, a crazy degree where
you cannot stop it.
You can't, it's like just rips everything away
and you're just there for who exactly you are.
I gotta do it, man.
What's like your relationship with like your family?
Are they all supportive of this?
Yeah, like I'm the black sheep in my family.
I had, like, I'm from an Indian background,
so you know, everybody must be educated.
I was at least educated. I had cousins that are younger
than me that are becoming lawyers and accountants
and passing me when I'm like 25, 26
and I blew up at like 27.
So it's made up for all that lost time.
So they were looking at you and they were like,
what the fuck are you doing with your life?
with your life and then you probably pop and they're like, that's amazing.
They're like, are you sure? Are you sure? Are you going to do music? Are you sure you going to do it?
I could. I did it. What do they think about all the like the shrooms and like the drinking and the
party and do? Does that matter? Um, no. Like, it's just whatever.
It's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. You seem responsible. Yeah. Like, man, I take care of stuff. I'm
focused. So go ahead. No. All right. Your floor. Oh, I'm sorry. Thank you. Are there,
are there any people specifically that doubted you in your life on your way up?
Oh, yeah. Cousins. All kind of.
All kinds of people.
What about ones that like really fucked with you?
Like, fuck with me, like in a good way?
Fuck with you, like, maybe to motivate you to be like, I'm going to show you or if I
heard you that they doubted you?
The biggest believer was my sister.
That's right.
Two sisters, a middle child and the older one.
And I'm the youngest.
My sister was, she bought me my first speakers when I started making beats.
When I failed in studio classes and shit at school because I was skipping and selling weed
and shit.
Yeah.
She would pay for the courses.
Like, like, or back.
You know what I mean?
That's amazing.
A supportive siblings fucking everything, bro.
But was there ever anyone that, like, really doubted you that, like, hurt your feelings?
Yeah, like, there's family members that create imaginary problems in their head
so they don't got to keep up with you and see your success, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
And you know what I'm talking about.
You ever send them, like, screenshots of, like, your accolades or anything?
Yeah.
No, I just like, yeah, just what's good?
And then send them that.
You would do that.
Yeah.
You would totally do that.
He's a fucking guy, man.
No, it's a fuck you.
Why?
Does it not feel good when someone's doubted you and you're like.
Like you is when they went, when they turn on the radio and fucking.
Yeah, exactly.
Songs play.
Yeah, it's lit.
So you did a couple of songs with Pop Smoke, too, right?
Yep.
What was that like?
And do you feel like...
Those songs are fine.
Yeah.
Do you feel like lucky, like that you were able to have that opportunity?
Of course.
Of course.
It was like a...
It was like Star of the lining moment.
My boy's Slow, man.
We're in the studio, NRG.
Rest in peace, Young Golf.
He was in one room.
Paul Smoke was moving around.
Slow went and grabbed him.
Brought him in there.
We did one song on my...
my type of beat, which was run it up.
And then I'm like, yo, I want to do a drill beat.
I never did a drill beat.
And we did that one.
And his verse was like four bars shorter than mine.
I'm like, yo, just go do four bars.
He was so easy going.
Went to the extra four bars.
We got that done.
And then we had a next session booked the day he passed away.
Oh, my God.
So it was in LA then too, right?
Yeah, man.
Wow.
Pops' music was fucking.
He was amazing.
I was like, wow, you're on locking again?
We just did two songs.
All right, cool.
Who else have you been, like, in the studio?
with where you're just like, this guy's a perfectionist
or like, has to be perfect.
You know what I'm saying?
Gunna.
Yeah.
Uzi, thug.
Future, unbelievable.
Future and Thug and Dirk record the fastest.
Really?
Dirk did two songs for me in like one hour.
Oh, what the fuck.
You like, did you like, you've been working with Dirk for a long time, all right?
I actually found out about a little Dirk through, like, through you.
Yeah.
It's crazy to see what he's like achieved too.
I've been following him since all the way back like 10 years ago.
Were you like one of the first ones to like work with him?
I wouldn't say that
No
But like he just
I remember when we first did
The stuff from my album
I was like
I'm so glad you're like
Been reborn as an artist
You know
Like you deserve everything
You're so talented
He just caught his new wind
At them
Now he's a trailblazer
He's cooking people
Um
So we were listening to some of the lyrics
In your new song
One can we
We're gonna read it back
One of them you said
When I'm thirsty
I drink Molly water
To get in my zone
Is that I do that
But I don't have that lyric
Is that actually true
Because like if I'm thirsty
like, I'll grab like a water.
If it's like past three, I'll grab like a happy dad.
But like, do you just grab Molly Water when you're like parched?
No, that was like in that song, I'm like in a dark zone.
I'm like, you know what I mean?
Like, like talking about like how I've harmed myself before.
The second one is.
So Molly Waters.
That's not my line.
No, no.
Wait, I'll read this one.
Okay.
So this one says these pussies.
Oh wait.
The Molly water too.
That's like that beats like Gatorade like powerade like for quench.
Uh, never quench for.
Okay.
Energy.
Okay.
Got it.
Okay.
Okay.
So these pussy's acting like toilets want to take.
My shit.
I don't know that.
That's not my line.
I think it is.
I'll look it up right now.
But go to the next one while I look it up.
Is this one really one?
This one I fuck with.
So I don't know who's one.
You got braces.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We got to read this one.
It says, I like her because she basic.
She got braces.
Her followers 100K.
Then she too famous.
If she got a thousand might make her my main bitch.
Nobody wants a girl that already got all the bags on her profile and been to Italy more times than you.
You go up for the first time.
You know those type of ones.
Oh, I've been here.
See, Navs, Andrew Tate got his shit from Nav.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying, bro.
Yeah.
You started that.
That's true, though.
He's crazy.
He'd be saying some stuff that's cool, but he's crazy, too.
Yeah.
But is that, do you actually live by that?
Like, if she's like too big, you stay away from it?
I'm like, I like a regular group.
Yeah, it's just not about, then it becomes a whole life.
It is dope when you see a girl that's under 1,000 and she's bad.
We actually see, remember that Scottsdale girl?
Yeah.
But it's only a matter of time before they get to 100K.
Like when you see, when you see them in their heart and they're under 1,000, then it's like, yo, this girl's going to pop off.
Right.
The next two weeks she's at Dambles area
These days, it's like a diamond in the rough.
Yeah, it's like impossible.
What the hell?
How do you even find normal girls
from what you're saying?
I go to the right spots.
Yeah?
I'm going to go to the pop.
Where's the best spot?
But I feel like,
I'm not going to find my spots.
But I feel like you're not going to find normal girls
at certain spots, right?
Because like if they're going there trying to find artists.
I think you can find a lot in Toronto.
But they're after clout, though.
Like, I feel like every Toronto girl wants to be an LA girl.
It's being turned out now, yeah.
Yeah.
They're getting too much access to all of us
just being around all the time.
You know, it's getting turnt out a little bit.
What spot do you think as the hottest chicks?
In the world?
Like, yeah.
Like city.
Miami?
Top three.
Top three cities.
Toronto, Miami.
Yep.
Like London?
London?
Yeah.
London got some.
London?
London, Ontario?
Yeah, of course.
How do you, so like when you start to take off and become successful, like, you, you actually
said you did this, but how do you keep it about the music and not let the money get in the way?
Because I actually just love music
You know what I mean?
Like I love
If everything was free in the world
Like food everything
Sometimes I wouldn't even rap on beats
I just put them out
Freely like hear the beat
Oh shit
I only do it because like shit
Like what else is there to do
We gotta do
It's money
Like money kind of fucks up the art in the way
But at the same time
As long as you're creating shit
That you actually want to
I feel like when you're in the driver's seat
Like I'm in like as a producer
I can really change the sound of music
Yeah
I can really like my new beats
When they come out
With these artists
You're gonna hear it
It's vibeier and stuff
It's beat patterns nobody heard.
Yeah, it's crazy.
I feel like we could really change the way music is going and make it appear again, you know?
We were talking me and Kyle the other day about like how you've seen a lot of these guys that blew up on SoundCloud that just kind of drop like flies, bro.
Like, coming smoking hot and go away.
No, I'm not.
Yeah, it's really hard, bro.
It's really hard to stay like killing it in the rap game, I feel.
Do you think it's a network that you're involved in that allows you to continue to stay relevant?
I think I can make a song.
I can make a song by myself.
I don't got to wait on nobody.
Right.
I record myself, make the beat, mix it, everything.
So these guys, if you're just rapping on beats,
you got to get a different, you got to get another hat.
It's like if you're an engineer, you got to be making beats.
If you were making beats, you should be an engineer.
Where are you going to make the beat and wait for an engineer to record the guy?
Yeah.
I saw you.
No, 100% what you're saying, though, is like,
I think these SoundCloud guys would make one banger and live off that one banger.
Yeah, go shopping and get high and fucking go rap on another beat dumb way,
not make a good song.
Yeah.
Or you come out blazing hot with one song and there's pressure to top that one.
me, luckily, thank God, when I put my songs on on SoundCloud, when one hit 100,000,
the next one was hit in 80K.
And the next one after that was hitting 60K.
And they were all like even.
So it just worked out.
And same with my albums, all of my goal.
It's how it's been working.
What do you think makes you different?
Like to not.
My voice, my race, everything, like my story.
Yeah.
Just like how everybody else is different.
Do you do you freestyle in the booth or do you like somewhere like to write shit down?
Sometimes I start writing, finish it with a freestyle.
Sometimes I write the whole thing.
It's always a different process.
When I write it down, it's way better because you can see the sentence.
You could change like little simple words to like, you know, make the bar harder.
Who do you think is moving like the genre forward the most right now?
Like in the rap game.
All the people on my album.
Everyone.
Yeah.
Everybody on my album.
Damn.
Little baby's fucking hot.
It's fuck right now.
Smoking.
Is he on?
Because I didn't know.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yep.
I never sleep.
Damn.
I can't wait.
When did you first meet Little Baby?
The last time I can remember being around it
was when we shot the video
But I feel like I met him before that for sure
Because you know he's good close friends with Gunna
I just seen him around a lot
I can't remember the first time
Probably like three years ago
Something like that
Would you say he's like
The hottest like rapper right now
Little Baby?
Yeah
He's top two
Top three top two badly
Who would be like your top three right now
My favorite artist is future
Yeah
I love future bro
Me personally and like
Thug Gunna Uzi
little baby, little dirk.
What do you, how do you feel about NBA?
NBA is probably too.
He's got like a crazy cult falling.
Yeah, yeah, I'm believing.
Just like I play McCarty.
They got crazy.
They're breaking down all the fences and running on the stage.
How do they get that?
Like, what do they do differently that these guys like worship them?
I think keeping the mystery a little bit.
Yeah.
Not giving them too much.
Yeah.
I think it's also social media, yeah.
Yeah, you give them too much.
They're going to get bored of you.
That's why I stopped doing a lot of streaming.
and stuff, because I felt like they're getting so used to.
See me, when I pop out, it's like, you know, you hear my voice all day.
That's something I noticed that Abel's, he doesn't do anything like this.
Are we following the blueprint?
Yeah, like, that guy just, you just see him perform, that's it.
You never see anything on him.
That's exactly what I'm saying.
It's wild.
Music only, all music.
All music.
I think it's like, I saw something the other day on TikTok where someone just saw, like,
heard his voice for the first time when he was just talking.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, it's like, that's, that's, that's, that's wild to me.
So are there other other people like that that inspire you like to not necessarily act a certain way or to be a certain way that you're not?
But like how have you besides like management people that you work with?
How have you determined like your movement in the industry like you know what I'm saying?
100% cash.
Damn.
Legendary right here.
I've done things before.
I've done things before without asking him.
And he tells me like I would have done this.
You should have hit me before you did.
I'm like, yeah, you're right.
Like now it's like anything I do that I hit him first.
Yeah.
You think that's something that people lack
because they don't have that right person in their corner
and it just folks enough.
Sure, they went through all the, they made all the mistakes for me already.
So now when we do stuff, we set up a tool,
we do all this stuff, everything's perfect.
Yeah, seamless.
That's so key, having like a good team.
I'm blessed.
I'm super blessed.
In any game, whether it's rap, social media.
Yeah, 100%.
You've got to have a good smart team around you.
I see so many people falling off in industries
because they just don't, they lack that knowledge.
Absolutely.
I mean, it's tough.
Like, you know, there's yes, man.
You need a no man.
Yeah.
You need no man.
Everybody wants the yes, man, but they need no man.
It doesn't feel good to get told no, too.
Like, you might not have an idea.
You think it's so good.
And then someone tells you no and you're like, oh, fuck that person.
Like, I thought it was good.
Yeah, but the honesty is dope, though.
Yeah.
It's like you need it to get better.
When you think you lit, when somebody says, no, you kicked them out of your circle.
And that's the only person I was telling you the truth.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Your attitude's, hey, I'm the fucking man.
I do what I want.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But that's, that's going to lead you fucking down and eventually.
100%.
Because too many yes men is not, it's definitely not the way you want to.
I think when you're on the come-up, though, you'll always go through a little stage of like you have like some yes-men and then you learn, you're like, all right, no more of that.
Like, I got to fucking...
I got to have people that I could trust around me.
Did you ever have something like that on your come-up where you were like, yo, I'm fucking slipping or I'm not focused or this shit's going wrong.
I got to stay in the lane.
Yeah, for sure.
It's like a landmark in my career as an album, Reckless.
It's ironic.
The name is Reckless because I was acting reckless.
I was just partying, recording in random hotel rooms, different engineers, not really caring about the music.
I thought I was littered back then than I am now.
And it came out in the album.
It was an underwhelming album.
So when that happened, I recalculated.
I rented this house in Vancouver.
I gave all my boys of Pep Talk, my producer friends, everybody,
and said, yo, we don't knock this album on.
We don't get number one.
The shit's over.
No more fancy dinners and nothing.
Like, I did a whole spiel.
We went, we did the album.
We went number one.
Thank God.
Then we did it number one again.
Good intentions.
And here we are.
Yeah, new album.
It would go crazy.
Yeah.
Yeah, you told the day one's that.
And they're like, all right, yo, let's get this right.
Right, exactly.
How many times are you, like, partying a week, like, at that stage?
Just, like, every day.
Whenever I could, yeah.
Fuck.
It is easy to get caught up in that shit, for sure.
When things are going good to.
Yeah.
It's not even about, like, having sex with them.
It's more, though, you're addicted to the attention.
It's just to watch you.
Especially with all the boys, too.
Yeah, caught up and that stupid shit.
It is fun when all the boys are single and you're just, like, ready for a big night.
It is addicting.
It's so fun, right?
So out of, you have all those features.
Do you have a favorite guy that, like, you love to work with?
you just hit it off with every time.
Louis.
You and Uzi?
You guys like fuck around
and mess with each other off.
Yeah.
Camera off studio and shit.
Hell yeah.
He seems like he's a funny dude.
He's an interesting dude.
Funny as hell,
bro.
He'd be having me laughing so much.
I'd be trying to control myself and laughing.
Really?
Yeah.
You guys kick it outside of the studio?
Hell yeah.
What were you and Uzi go do?
On his birthday.
It was a fun time.
What did you guys do?
We went to this club.
We went to dinner and then we went to another spot.
He's definitely hitting the 3.5 with you,
know?
The Shroomies?
Honestly, I told him, I told him, I was like, yo, I've been thinking of these shrooms.
Like, see, I told you.
I've been trying to tell you to take him.
I don't know why you never took him.
I'm like, fuck, I see the light now, bro.
Oh, he put you on?
He tried to tell me to take him a while ago in New York.
He was eating caps just like, you know what I'm saying?
Sitting there.
And I'm like, shit, that's scary.
You're hell to me.
And then now I came to him at his dinner.
I'm like, yo, I'm in the shrooms.
I've been feeling amazing.
I told you.
I've been trying to make you guys to speak that shit forever.
Bro, this is like a, we did
Elon Musk and he even was talking
about the trims. I don't know if he does him, but like
Those guys. Yeah, come on. Brutty. Elon's
real shrooms for sure. Come over those ideas, bro. You got
a tap a different part of your brain, not just this front part
and shit over here, man. I feel behind the wave.
Brad, you got to fucking put me on.
Bro, I've been telling you. I've been telling you guys, man.
Fuck, I'm like definitely have them in your bag.
Let's go. I'm a snap if I start taking
shrips. Bro, you go crazy. What's the most you ever did?
Five. Five, yeah, five's crazy.
Because this is, I'm the kind of person
that like, I'll get in some, like,
Because I have, like, you know, shit in my past, I deal with, but I have to, like, get some dark moments.
But you're a big dude?
You think it makes a difference?
I don't think so.
I don't think drugs like that are really affected by, like, your weight.
I don't like the color drugs anymore.
Yeah, medicine.
I just think it's like, it, yeah.
Like, alcohol might be more affected by your weight because it volume blood alcohol.
But I think those are a little bit more like, since there's more cerebral, it's more like just, it hits everyone uniquely, right?
Some people get certain effects from it.
Some people don't.
Yeah.
But, yeah, I love it, man.
I highly recommend it to you, bro.
And I told you, and you were, like, kind of skeptical.
But, like, bro, I love it when I love talking to people who, like, crush it.
And, like, you're like, yeah, I do this.
I'd be walking around, looking at everybody regularly, and be like, I'm in on something that's not on.
Yeah, that's exactly.
Yeah.
Wait, what if you're...
That's exactly how it feels.
What if you're, what if you're, like, performing?
It's cool, bro.
Same shit, you're on in there.
I would.
I would.
There's different ones, you know, there's the ones with the maka in it.
I give you the energy from the coffee.
That'll be great for Steve.
There's ones that there's, like, this blue bar.
I make beats on.
It just makes me calm, like, you breathe properly.
Do you have, like, a regimen that you do before you go on and perform?
Yeah, for sure.
A couple shots of, like, tequila just to kill the nerves.
Loosen up.
And then, and then I can pray a little bit.
And then I have to give my fist bump to my assistant before I go on stage and bang.
Every time to fistball?
Got to be.
That's dope.
Not there, I'd be pissed.
That's dope.
Have to hit that.
Yeah. That's cool.
Do you have times where you walk off and you're like, yo, that was my best fucking show I've ever done?
Or times where you were like, fuck, man, like, I could have done better?
Yeah, there was one time
I did a rolling lot in LA
And my in here was like broken
It wasn't working
And I couldn't hear myself properly
So like you know how sound works
It sound of speed is pretty slow
So the reflections are coming
I'm off beat
I was pissed bro
And I threw my fucking pack
After my mic
I was so pissed
Because the in ears were working
But I got new ones now
So the show sometimes
You can't control what happens
Especially festivals
Should be like
Random
Yeah
It might just go out
One time my auditing
Wasn't working
The shit wasn't on
And she was crazy
Yeah
She'd be crazy
Who do you think is, like, next up out of Toronto?
Realist K, yeah.
What was the other kids, too?
The Swavy Kid?
Yeah, his name is Fire, too.
Yeah, old ways, right?
Yeah, yeah, fire.
We were listening to that.
Realist K fucking super talented.
That song by Swavy's Fire.
Yeah, fire.
That went viral because he linked with Drake
and they were playing it in the club, right?
Yeah, that's hard.
Do you reach out to these guys if they're from your city
and you're like, yo, bro, like...
I was there in person, like they were playing the song,
and I'm like, that's you?
Like, yeah, that's fire.
Yeah.
Does it mean a lot more if they're from where you are?
And you're like,
hell yeah, bro.
Like,
we gotta keep the shit going, man.
Like,
we're supposed to stop now?
Yeah.
Gotta go crazy.
Yeah.
Why do you think it's so hard for, like,
artists to really make it to that next level point out of Toronto?
Like,
there's so many talented people.
Like,
you got Drake,
Weekend, Torrey.
Heber.
We all know these people on these small Toronto pages.
Those are, like, the four.
Like,
there's been some.
I don't want to, like,
name drop them too.
But they've almost gotten there.
And then it's like,
it just kind of fizzles.
The guy's wrapping on these,
um,
Toronto pages,
making these quick videos and stuff, is like,
it's like, are you making music because you love music
or are you making music because you want to be lit?
Because you want to be lit, it's not going to work.
This is not just a Toronto thing, though.
It has to be like everywhere, everywhere.
LA, how many gimmicky artists are out here?
Yeah.
That aren't actually making songs.
Like, like, a kid just handing out CDs outside of the restaurant.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, every city is like that.
I wonder who will be that next big Toronto artist to get to, like,
those four level, though, to achieve that, like, you know?
Like, you guys are like asserted yourself as like,
Yo, you guys made it, you know?
I wonder who that will be.
Yeah, is a big shot, man.
Vindis K is fucking crazy.
I haven't heard.
I got to check out of shit.
Like an angel, man.
He's on my album, it's crazy.
Oh, shit.
Listen to that one.
His voice is crazy.
What song is that?
It's all lost me.
Okay.
Yeah, we did a video for it too.
Thank you, yo, for me and Kyle got to listen to it.
You guys didn't send it to Brad.
Yeah, well, I sent it to the real ones.
I have a little less context.
Jesus.
That's what I learned from me.
Keep your circle small, so I appreciate that, bro.
Oh, nice.
Cool.
I told you, though, like, Cash said we can't show that to people.
So you're going to be hammered tonight and try to flex on a bitch.
You're like, you want to hear now's unreleased out?
No, no, no.
On God, he already flexed.
Then they're going to see.
The girl's going to post a TikTok.
Then Cash is going to text me.
Okay, but can I get permission?
Can I play it, but not send it?
No.
He gave me permission.
Hold on.
It's coming out.
On God, he already sent it to a chick.
No, I swear.
No, he doesn't have it.
No, but I know better than I have three.
I sent a DM and said, yo, God, Nav's new shit if you want to pull up.
We're doing it.
I'm setting up a listening party, actually.
Right, right.
Is that a host of it by now?
No, shut a crib with random people, but I'm, I'm the plug.
Yeah.
The plug?
Yeah.
Got the early release.
I wanted to ask, too, so random.
I was always curious, whatever happened on Travis's album at one time when, like, the song was, like, really low.
Honestly, it's probably like just the rush of, like, handing it in.
Like, people not listening to all the way to the end of the song mastering, you know?
It was like one week to hand of the album.
So they just didn't listen to it.
Probably not.
They fixed it after, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because that was a fire verse in the song too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was just curious about that.
Yeah.
It's a little bit longer too originally too.
Yeah.
Do you get like, are you super excited?
You get anxious when the album's about to come out?
Like, I'm honest.
I was more anxious when I wasn't sure about the project.
You know, like this one I'm so sure about it.
I'm like, come on, hurry up.
I can't wait.
Yeah, I'm going to be honest.
When we were listening to it, I was like, holy shit.
Like this is fire.
I don't know the name.
Well, so I'm the last of...
Last in Mohicans, yeah.
Yeah. What does that mean?
Laceda the Mohicans.
You can Google it.
It's like, I think it was like a tribe and it's like, you know, the last, like, one of my
friends, older brothers used to say that.
He'd be like, oh, like, you think you're so tough.
Like, there's somebody tougher than you.
He's like, yeah, maybe in Zimbabwe somewhere.
He's like, I'm the last of the Mohicans.
He used to say that.
My boyfriend, Toronto.
And I just took that and ran with it.
What's the Uzi one that I loved?
Interstellar?
Interstellar because it's like an old Uzi vibe.
Like the love tape.
That's exactly what happened.
One of my producers, Prologic, was going through samples.
Then he's like skipping body sample.
I'm like, wait, what was that?
He goes back.
He plays a sample.
And then I told Uzi, I'm like, I want 2016.
That's exactly what I'm like, you want 2016 Uzi?
Are cool.
And he went in the booth and did.
That was like wanted you, right?
Dangar, bro.
Wanted you?
It's crazy.
How did that song come down?
I made that song randomly like I came off tour.
I got no argument with somebody.
I was pissed.
I didn't have no clothes.
I was wearing like fucking slippers and one of my t-shirts.
Like I went to the studio and I recentered
and I got this beat from Ben Billions and I made the song.
The next day I woke up in the SLS and I thought,
You know, when you take, like, mad long to get ready,
I was like, damn, I'm bullshit in today.
And then I come out, it lined up that Uzi's down there
in the fucking Sprinter van.
I see him.
We get in the car, we go to Cash's crib,
and we fucking, I play him the song, and he recorded it right there.
And if I didn't take long to get ready that day,
maybe I wouldn't have to run into it.
How many songs do you have with Uzi?
In the bank?
Like, how many?
I'll say over 80.
80.
Yeah.
Over 80?
Why don't you guys do a collab album?
What the fuck?
Because what was the other song,
the ASAP Ferg?
Yeah.
That song slaps.
We have stuff from that period too
that we never kept in, put out.
It was so much shirt.
Do you hold on them and wait for the right time?
Or you're just like, I don't want to release these.
Let's keep them.
Best ones.
Like, for this album, I started it at my crib.
Did a couple songs.
It wasn't really recording that much.
So Cash pulled me out of the crib.
Told me to come to Miami.
We set up a recording thing in the house.
We made a fucking a booth out of blankets and pillows like under this fucking little tent.
And Uzi was there.
And from that trip, 40, 50 songs we did.
We picked the best ones.
Went to Toronto, set up studio there.
40-50 songs pick the best ones.
So every trip, we just took the best songs.
Are you still producing on Logic?
Yeah.
Do you ever wonder, though, like about songs that you might not like that you put out, though,
that people might go crazy over?
Yeah, and that's why we'd be having the bonus for.
Oh, okay.
We did the bonus on the time.
We're going to have a bonus, and there'll be songs that we were dying to put on the album.
But, you know, the first track list was solid.
These are the bonus shits?
Are all the songs, like, is it like real-life shit,
or do you make some of it up?
Or is it, like, from actual experiences?
Like 80, 20% real, 20% exaggeration.
Yeah.
Has it always been that way on all your albums or just like this?
Some of them is absolutely real.
Like, ball and peace is an absolutely real song.
Yeah.
We didn't get the chance to hear that one.
Yeah.
What do you talk about in that song?
One of my friends who passed away, you know?
Yeah.
It's just real shit.
You'll hear it.
How about the one, my dog?
That kind of felt to me like a...
My dog is real too.
That's about one of my best friends.
What I'd be telling him?
Like, you don't want to ask me for nothing, but you can get it whenever you want.
That was like a romantic bro song like it felt like it was like it was like that was like
romantic bro like that was like that's what he said in the car bro what the fuck that was like just
before being gay I think like you're like you're good you're in the clear but like it was like
it was like romantic that song damn I heard it I started thinking of one of my boys I was like
damn I love that guy oh that's a good thing again I love you guys I love that's a good thing I
For the boys.
You're spoken here, right?
Yeah, whatever you want.
Can you tell when there's guys that, like, are rapping and they're just like...
Faking.
Yeah, faking.
Like, yo, you're not actually about that or like...
Yes.
Who's the fakedest?
Can you say that?
Oh, God, you're tripping.
Damn.
Sorry.
Nice trash.
Damn.
Does that, does that piss people off when you're like, bro, that's not actually you, like...
No.
No.
The shit is like fucking entertainment at that in the day, bro.
Yeah.
You could be real or be faking it, man.
Fuck.
There's a price for being all the way real, too.
Yeah.
Outside of yourself.
Are you beefed with anyone in the game, really?
No.
No.
Who do you think it's like the realist
and just literally tells you their story
besides, like, you know, you?
All the people at work?
Everybody.
Yeah.
Remember, we do the exaggeration.
Maybe we spent 2 million shop
and might say 4.
Yeah.
That's how it is.
No, that's lit.
Might as well.
Well, you got to, you got to carry about that.
That's you, too.
Yeah, I mean.
I mean, that's you 100%.
You're not like a 5X, though, not a 2x.
Yeah.
Or I'll do like a lot of traction.
You'll spend a thousand.
that I want and say I got it and then I'll get it.
I talk about my me back that I got like before I got it.
Go to the mall and drop 500 bucks say I dropped 20 bins.
How long have you been into that?
That's funny.
It's a lot of traction?
Yeah.
Since fucking, like when I started, 2016, like as an artist, I had a vision board.
On the vision board I had like some stupid shit like watch it that would never wear a house that I'd never live in now.
Well, 2016 is when you, is that when you got signed?
Yeah.
So because I was, I saw something where you said you were, you were at Wendy's and your shit got
decline and then you got signed recently
right after that. He called me on the way to the studio.
Yeah. So I was doing the law of attraction. You're like, oh,
use your money for whatever you need.
I took a trip to LA on this credit card.
I'm buying black t-shirts, fast food,
going to the studio for free because we got a link
and gas money, whatever.
And I went to, I went to L.A. and the trip
didn't plan out how I imagined. I was supposed to finish
my first album. Yeah. And it didn't
work out because the people I was working with was busy with other people.
And I came back.
She declined. I'm like, damn.
At Wendy's too.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm like, the books got me.
Was it one of those Wendy's that was attached to a Tim Hordons too?
Oh, Tobico, you know what Topico is?
You know those ones?
Rexna Kippling.
Oh, shit.
Well, hopefully you were in the drive-thru.
You weren't in the place, right?
Exactly.
Yeah.
If you're in the place, you're done.
It's crushing.
And they know me there because I always go to that one.
And then you get a call.
On the way, my stomach's growling.
I hit my boy, I said, yo, Chilla, you got some food over?
He's like, yeah.
He'll bust it down with me.
I'm fucking.
I'm in the car.
Like, fuck, it's over.
He called me and told me, yo, he's like, oh, who records you?
You need an engineer to come out with you?
He's like, nah, I record myself.
I make my own beat.
He's like, nah, you're a legend.
You're a little crazy.
But when did that, when did your, like, when did you start thinking about the law of attraction like that and your intention?
Because I had to be prior to that.
I read these books.
I watch Jack Canfield, the guy who wrote chicken noodle soup for the soul.
Yeah.
So just started making vision boards and gratitude list to make myself feel better.
Like, I'm living in my crib, a small-ass crib in Wrexta, but I'm grateful for the fucking door on my room that could shut it and smoke weed and make beats.
I'm grateful for my fucking arms, my legs, shit like that.
It would just make me feel better every day.
So, like, you make a list of shit you're grateful for?
Yeah, while you're on the toilet in the morning, it's like right now.
That's actually really cool.
Good as hell.
Yeah.
Do you still find that to be a part of your routine that it's important?
Yeah, like the, like I said, the shroom has brought out this crazy, like maximum level of gratitude.
I literally think I'm the most grateful person, like top 10 grateful people in the world.
Yeah.
It's amazing.
Bro, you've got to be grateful.
I do that a lot, too.
Like, I feel like it's one thing I do.
It's like, you've got to be grateful for what you have.
Yeah, the universe will never give you more.
You're not grateful for what you got now.
It's a fact.
Yeah.
It don't make sense.
I could give you so much worse, anything we think is tough.
Oh, bro.
It's crazy.
I mean, the fact, we get to sit here and all these cameras just talk.
You can't see.
Yeah.
I'm going to hear.
If I couldn't hear, I'd rather have no arms than I'd be able to hear.
Yeah.
Damn, bro.
That's dope.
I'm glad that's something that you practice.
So, have you ever, like, not practice it where you had a moment where, like, you did less of it?
Was it during reckless?
For sure.
When you focus on, like I said, the shrews made me focus on what's there already, not what's missing.
Right.
What did you used to think was missing?
Just more materialistic shit?
Like, I walk in now, I see my shoe collection.
I'd be like, what the fuck?
This is my shit.
Before I'd be like, damn, I just probably get more shoes.
Yeah, I don't have enough.
I got these.
I got Lambo and the Mayback.
Damn, I should probably get a rose right now.
Now I'm just like, what the fuck?
Is there.
How many cars you got?
Two.
Lambo's yours and I'm a Mayback
I just got for my birthday.
Yeah.
Which Mayback is that?
Oh, those are amazing.
Yeah, those are lit.
Is there anything where you spent too much on
and you're like, why the fuck did I do that?
Yeah?
Close.
Clothes and taxes and all that shit.
Well, you got to be dripped out, though.
You got an expectation, though, too.
You got to carry, right?
Yeah, I'm fucking with these guys.
Cass and these guys, really getting fucking going crazy.
Yeah.
See, like, these Rick-old, these guys gave me these.
You have me getting stuff, too.
You know what I'm?
Nothing's better than that.
Yeah.
Where do you, like, buy those?
Like, is it online?
He gave me these.
I was in his house in Toronto.
He was like,
yo,
you want these pants?
I'm like,
yeah,
give me them.
Yeah.
I never know where to shop, man.
Yeah,
I don't know.
I'm not,
I'm not good at that at all.
I don't think I could rock Rick Owens though.
Maybe we should drip stiny out for a milk video or something funny.
Yeah,
I'll have some other shit too.
I didn't put her on.
I didn't know how hard you were going to come in.
Yeah,
he didn't hit the rental place on the way here.
What do you think about renting chains?
Because that's what he'll do.
He'll head up the jewler and be like,
can I just wear this for a night?
If you're on the bus, people don't think it's fake.
You can have a, you know what I mean?
A fake Rolex.
And if you're in a Maybach, they don't think it's real.
That's real shit.
That was real shit.
Yeah, that's a good thing.
You write to that watch?
No, this is paid for it.
But like, we have a, we have a friend who, like when we're in Miami, right?
You know how Miami is.
Oh, here comes the secret brand deal right here.
No, there's no brand deal.
I'm not even in a name drop.
But my friend, timepiece trading, who's in Miami.
If I go to Miami, I'll hit him up and he'll be like, hey, we're going out to
night and he's a jeweler so he'll fucking bring a huge ass cuban and it just makes it more fun you
you know what i'm saying you know it's like why would i andy man yeah it helps you get you some
confidence some sauce in there oh yeah you know the vibe 100% talk what well he showed no he showed up
one day in the jeweler's shirt and the jeweler's hat shows up shows up on the pod and we're like
he's pro-law that's good deals on the back and he's wearing like a new bracelet and shit and we're
like yo what's good oh he's been a hole for him yeah straight up you're funny
Well, you got to do what you got to do.
I'm on, you know.
Oh, respect.
Thank you, bro.
I appreciate you.
Respecter.
Were you at that point ever where you were like,
yo, I got to kind of like fake it till I make it?
Hell, though.
I mean, like, kind of.
Like, I used to do like, I call it transitional pieces.
Like, when I was doing my little photo shoot and shit before I met Cash, go to Zara,
go to these places.
Like artists, if you're paying attention, don't blow your fucking shit.
Just wear plain stuff.
Cool black to you.
Cash used to be like, just wear black.
Black is easy.
Put a little chain on you good.
Yeah.
Can't go wrong with all black.
Yeah, don't fucking.
Well, that's such a thing in the industry where, like, everybody's got as much ice as they can.
So, you feel like you've got to keep up.
You got to be tasteful with it, though.
You can't just have all your chain different lengths all over shit.
Isn't that tough in the rap game to, like, out drip all these guys?
Like, it's so competitive.
I'm very self-aware how I look.
I'm brown.
I'm brown guy.
If I wear too much jewelry, but I look like a jeweler, I look like I'm about to come sell you a bracelet or something.
You know what I'm going to be layering this shit crazy.
Like, one chain here, one chain here, the big chain down here.
Like, they layer it crazy.
Who he thinks, like, the most dripped out
or has the most sauce
in the game?
Damn.
Uzi, it's fucking crazy.
Outside of Uzi, because he's like your boy.
Future.
Fucking gunna.
It's obviously competitive, though, isn't it?
Kind of.
I feel like, I feel like we genuinely are happy for each other
and want to see each other win.
I don't ever get that vibe from them.
Really?
Yeah.
Like no one has...
Some people I do, and I don't even know them to
know that they feel that way.
When I'm around these guys, I don't feel the energy.
Yeah.
Competition, we're good.
We come from nothing.
Yeah, that's good.
I eat off the flow with you.
Yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
Damn.
How many of your day ones do you still roll with?
We'll get Matthews.
One, two, three, four.
And they play hockey and shit?
No.
No.
They're Jamaican dude.
All three of my, like, main closest friend is Jamaica.
That's how I grew up in Jamaica, people, small people.
Indian people.
Is that like a process where you're like, let's say you started with 10 and you're like,
yo, I can't fuck with this certain person anymore?
They weed themselves out.
People would be burning themselves.
I was out before they can even get an opportunity.
Yeah.
That's why Steinie's here.
Right.
Yeah.
What the fuck,
no,
I'm fucking with you.
I was gonna give you shit.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Like that actually kind of hurt your feelings.
I didn't get it.
He's just throwing shade.
I was on shade the Steve thing.
That's how you ended up here.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Y'all eat the same thing anymore?
Like,
No, we are.
Oh, okay, cool.
Yeah.
That's funny.
See, he knows?
The touchy.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, you're good.
I actually have an appointment.
Yeah, he used to work for Steve, and then he was like,
you know, I'm just going to do the pot.
This is fucked, bro.
Sorry, dude.
We're not going down this right now.
You're looking.
I'm not going down this route.
Really?
Yeah.
We went down it earlier.
I know, but I've had too happy dad.
So now I'm like a little buzzeted.
I don't want to cry on this.
Okay.
All right.
I respect that.
I respect that.
Fuck, man.
Come on, dude.
You got it together.
You got a nice watch on.
Thank you.
Yeah.
You got this.
Rented.
Good?
Yeah.
Definitely rented.
No, it's not.
My watch is paid for.
I'm getting the receipt one second
