This is an I-Heart podcast.
Hi, I'm Buzz Knight, the host of the Taken a Walk podcast,
and join me for an upcoming episode with Sack McFarlane,
the creator of family guy talking about his new Frank Sinatra music project.
Anyone who loves music would salivate over something like this.
The biggest question for us was, what's in these boxes.
Really, the most thrilling part was hiring an orchestra
and just playing what was in these boxes.
Listen to taking a walk on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Jake Hofer, and this is Back 40, a limited series show on Wire to Hunt, part of Meat Eaters Podcast Network.
Each episode, I'll be asking eight wide-tail hunting pros, a focused, thought-provoking question about hunting and land management.
How do I hunt the best part of the farm with less than ideal access?
Should you, that's what the real question is.
Stand without good access is not a good stand.
Listen to Back 40 on iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Hi, my name is Enya Umanzor.
And I'm Drew Phillips.
And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom.
If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you.
But if you have unmedicated ADHD...
Oh my God, perfect.
And want to hear people with mental illness, psychobabble.
Yes, yes.
Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you.
Open your free IHeartRadio app.
Search Emergency Intercom and listen now.
I'm Bob Crawford, host of American History Hotline,
a different type of podcast.
You, the listener, ask the questions.
Did George Washington really cut down a cherry?
Were JFK and Maryland Monroe having an affair?
And I find the answers.
I'm so glad you asked me this question.
This is such a ridiculous story.
You can listen to American History Hotline
on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Take us inside the receiver's room.
Man, we got so many different personalities, but it all comes together on the field.
I say, Steph, you know, that's the vet, you know, and he doesn't seen it all.
So he definitely, he don't let nothing slide, you know.
That's what we needed in that room.
Welcome to Dudes on Dudes, presented by Duncan, and we are coming.
to you from the Duncan Nut House in Boston.
I'm Julian Edelman.
And I'm Rob Grancowski.
And this is the show where your favorite dudes
get to talk about their favorite dudes.
And today we're going division by division
to preview the NFC giving our hot, hot takes.
And Patriots wide receiver, Pop Douglas,
stops by the Nut House.
What are we talking?
Why the NFC West is so intriguing this year?
Will the Eagles repeat as NFC champions?
And what Patriots,
should keep an eye on this season.
And then we wrap it up by making some awards,
predictions for the 2025 season and the chillest
dude of the week, presented by Cores Light.
Predictions.
Dudes on dudes is a production of I Heart Radio.
We're here in the Dunkin Nut House in Boston.
How cool is this? I mean, there's just graffiti
of Dunkin all over the place.
I'll tell you right now. There's donuts all over the place.
dunking coffee just energizing us throughout the whole day jules how awesome is it to be here it's it's
pretty awesome we also got a shout out the people behind the camera the house has been getting so many
compliments with all the insane artistry things going on i mean they redid a bunch of these
paintings to look like uh you and i in these movie posters and this it's just been a really fun
experience i feel pretty dunkinged up and uh you know there's dunking everywhere we're getting
tons of interviews you know throughout the whole week getting ready for the live show capturing tons
of great content as well and the coolest part of the house i think is just how many just how
just many games are set up around here i'm an activity guy big activity guy there's hockey puck
shot there's pop a shot there's swimming if you like to swim there's darts putting there's
spin the wheel you ever play spin the bottle but this is spin the wheel as
Terry Bradshaw said he used to play with his aunt.
Remember Terry said that on TV?
He goes, it's like playing to spend the bottle of my hand.
I don't recall him saying that.
I think he said that.
I didn't see that one.
Then Michael looked at him and like, what the hell?
And by the way, the live show is tonight, ladies and gentlemen.
If you're in Boston, you better be at the MGM Music Hall at 8 p.m.
Sharp, get rowdy, get loud.
Ask us questions.
is going to be a good all time.
It's going to be insane.
It's going to be fun.
There's a lot of surprises.
I got a lot of presents.
I feel like Chris Kringle over here.
And I feel like Pringle.
Pringle and Kringle.
Tasty and you guys are going to want to bite me.
And once you pop me, you're going to keep going.
Now it's time for Donut Dudes presented by Duncan.
What's this, Julian?
Donate Dudes.
This is the segment where we did.
determine on what kind of donut each dude is.
Our guest represents, but today, I think we're going to see what represents us.
So let's get the box of donuts.
Let's get the box of Dunkin's.
So you and I are going to determine what type of donut we are?
What type of Dunkin' Donut we are?
Yeah.
Well, I kind of already feel like I already know what type of donut I am.
I mean, I need a donut that has a lot of different flavors for you, man,
because you bring a lot of flavor to the table.
know one that's for you what's that i like the glaze stick for you yeah the big hit glaze stick
yeah i give you that it is it's big that's the grown it's glazed up because i am tasty but it's like
i'm just like an original it's not like i have tons of flavor i'm just a glaze slow flavor i'm well
put together look at that bad boy and it's like it just looks great like it looks different and
i look different so thanks thanks jules what do we think i am i think it's a little mine's a little
different probably one that's a little underappreciated you're kind of like a little underappreciated
you know not not flashy no you're definitely i said you're a variety of flavor right you need something
with sprinkles on it then a lot of color sprinkle i sprinkles for sure yeah but i'm kind of leaning maple
maple i'm leaning a little why maple why would you be a maple frosted donut because the maple doesn't
get the respect oh the respect oh you're going that route you know maybe the the maple's kind of doggy
you know who eats the maple the weird guy the weird guy i'm the weird guy maybe
you're not really a weird guy no you're not really a weird guy no you're a straight shooter
weird are weird and you're not weird yeah i like to eat the maple but maybe i am just a chocolate
you're not a french curl or maybe you're like the uh the jelly donut you know because everyone
just thinks it's just a donut and then they take a bite and they're like who there's jelly inside
i like that yeah they just thought you were a quarterback oh you were a white
receiver as well ladies and gentlemen let's switch them over i'm the jelly donut but i'm going to go with
the maple donut you're the maple donut i'll take underrated but brings the heat to the table when
when needed more than you think mm-hmm all right well before we talk to pop douglas we're going to
run through our nfc predictions last week with the afc predictions this week we're going to do
the nfc predictions this was one of my favorite episodes that we did last week the a fc predictions
because it's just fun to predict and then see if you were right or wrong, you know, by end of the year.
And if you were right, you brag about it.
If you are wrong, you don't even bring it up to anybody.
Ever.
I just think it's totally awesome this to be in that situation.
So let's get into it.
We are going to run through each division and we will say what we are most excited for.
Give a hot take as well.
Hot takes, hot takes, hot takes, hot takes.
People love hot take guy.
Yeah, I'm about clicks and hot takes get clicks.
So I'm a hot take guy.
Julian's not. He just wants to, you know, for real. And who's going to win it? Who's going to win the division as well?
So let's start off with the NFC East. You got the Giants, Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, a strong division last year. The Cowboys disappointed. But what are we most excited for, Julian?
I'm most excited to see Jaden Daniels in year two. Like, he had statistically the greatest rookie quarterback season in the history of the game, took his
team to the NFC championship team that have four wins the year before and how is he going to like
how is he going to top that because we saw cj stroud kind of not necessarily take a step back but
it wasn't as a productive as year as cj stroud's rookie year are we going to fall into that trap
with jaden daniels he just got terry mclaren back so that that makes me excited but i i'm really
excited to see the progression of jaden daniels with cliff kingsbury under dangles.
Quinn in the capital.
I'm excited for Brian Debel to have a bounce back year.
They went 3 and 14 last year for the New York Giants.
Daveo was my coach for three years in New England.
We won a Super Bowl.
I'm a big fan of his.
So if he has a bounce back year, I will see that twinkle in his smile again.
I'll see that sparkle in his eyes again.
And I'll be very excited for him, not necessarily for the Giants because they beat the Patriots
twice in Super Bowl.
I'll be excited for Brian Daibble.
yeah hot takes i'll start it off all right let's hear your hot take even though you don't like hot takes
but you want to start it off you must have a hot take let's hear cowboy finish last oh that's not even a hot
take that's a fact oh that's a hot take right there saying that's a fact all right you got cowboys
finishing last i mean i can see it i can see it why not i mean tough division and giants are
i don't know i think the giants are sleep i the giants are going to be slept on they have
They have probably arguably one of the best offensive lines in the game.
My hot take.
Oh, man.
It's hard because you kind of, in this division, you kind of see what you're going to get, you know.
It's hard to kind of pick a surprise here.
Oh, hot take.
Hot take.
One of the quarterbacks will be traded on the New York Giants roster.
They got too many.
I think didn't just want to happen?
Did it just happen?
No, no.
Or no, didn't what's his name just get traded?
Pick it.
Yeah, that's, that's, they're in the same situation.
They got Russell Wilson, they got Dart, they got James Winston, and they got DeVito.
I mean, one of, like, I think, like, I just got cut.
Oh, he got cut?
All right.
They're going to go three?
They can't go three.
Not three, you can't go three vets.
So I think James Winston may be traded throughout the season if another player goes down.
I like that.
I like that.
Who's going to win it, Rob?
I'm going to go with the Philadelphia Eagles.
They're too established.
They got, you know, a core that is just too.
unstoppable their defensive offensive offensive line you know that's where you win games is with the
line and they're just so established on both sides there so just the eagles are going to repeat yeah
i think the eagles are going to win it but i don't think it's going to be easy for them uh i think
the departure of the of kellen more i mean how many offensive coordinators has jalen hurts
had uh i'm not sure and it's not stopping them i know and they're but you know they're returning
I heard you say in one of your interviews
21 of 22 starters. No, no, they had
21 or 22 starters in the Super Bowl
last year. They were healthy. Yeah.
Like that's one of the main
reasons to win a Super Bowl.
And whatever they're doing is
working with the training staff.
Howie Roseman. He's a monster. Let's move on.
All right, let's go. NFC. South, you got the Tampa Bay
Bucks, Carolina Panthers. This is one of
the weakest divisions in football. You got
the New Orleans Saints. You got the Atlanta
Falcons. Jules.
What are you most excited for on this one?
I'm most excited.
Well, I'm not excited for the Saints, that's for sure.
I'm excited for Baker.
I'm excited for the, uh, the bucks.
You know, like, they've kind of established something.
Even when Tom and you left the organization, you guys left an imprint.
They kept it going.
And they're keeping it going.
Can they keep it going?
I think they're going to, but I'm excited to see how that goes.
Is they added a receiver?
What's his name?
The first round pick.
I don't know his name.
We'll just call him first round pick.
We're not supposed to know his name until he makes plays.
All right.
We added a first round pick receiver.
I think Godwin just got taken off the Pupp list.
That's good.
They got Evans.
They got players.
I'm a little curious about Tunsel, but we'll see.
I'm excited for Pennix Jr. at the helm, you know, for the Atlanta Falcons.
Let's see what he can do, a lefty.
He beat out.
a veteran player in Kirk Cousins.
So I'm excited to see what he can do
and if he can get Atlanta over that hump
of just being very average.
And yeah, we'll see if that can happen.
I mean, this is the vision to, you know, do it in, you know,
as a first year starter.
So we will see.
What's your hot take here?
Hot take.
The hot take is Kirk Cousins plays.
Oh.
Starts.
I like that hot take.
for the Atlanta Falcons at some point this season.
Is it because of injury?
I don't know.
I don't know.
He just starts.
At some point.
Does it have to be for the Falcons?
I don't know.
Okay.
I like that.
I don't know.
I don't know.
That's a hot take.
It's kind of a half take, but yeah.
Eh, okay.
What's your hot take, Rob?
My hot take is New Orleans Saints are just going to be a quarterback mess the whole entire
season.
I think that's a fact.
Yep.
And who's going to win it?
I'm going to go with the Tampa Bay Buckser to establish.
They got too many vets on the team that have been there.
They got a core of players.
They got a nucleus.
And when you have a nucleus, you're going to be good every single year.
And they're going to win the division and go to the playoffs.
You know we love Jimmy Neutron type guys.
And if they have Nucculus, I'm going to go with your word on that organization.
You played there.
I'm going Tampa Bay Bucks as well.
Mm-hmm.
They do.
They got nucleus in the front office.
They got nucleus on the field.
Levante, David, on defense.
Jeez.
Vita Via on the defensive line.
uh the safety the ant's won winfield junior dad played for the dad was nuts buffalo bills growing up as a kid the nucleus is legit on
defensive side and offensive side of the ball for tampa that's why they're going to win they're going to win
nfc north this is the green bay packers the detrude lions minnesota vikings and those chicago bears the thing
that you are most excited for roberto i'm excited for this ben johnson guy oh that's exciting yes
And he left, you know, a team in the same division to go be the head coach for the Chicago Bears.
And he's an offensive genius.
That's what they say.
And I'm not excited to see what type of head coach he is.
I'm just excited to see what he does for the offense for the Chicago Bears and Caleb Williams.
So let's see if he's really, really that good because Caleb Williams thrives this year,
then that means Ben Johnson's a real deal.
Real deal.
I'm excited for that, too.
I think what I'm most excited for, though,
I'm excited for those Detroit Lions, man.
We've been talking about the Detroit Lions for, like, the last three years of being
one of the best teams.
You know, the one seed, were they one seed last year?
Yeah, they were the one seed last year.
You know, they'd lose both of their offense and defensive coordinators to getting
head coaching jobs, Aaron Glenn, and Ben Johnson, who went over to Chicago.
So how are they going to deal with that?
We talk about Nuculous guys.
It seems like their whole team's Nuculous guys.
You know, they've drafted a lot.
lot of their guys. They've brought guys in like Jared Goff that have re-sparked their career.
They have an underdog mentality, even though they won the one seat last year. A lot of people
aren't talking about them this year. Yeah, I mean, they just had so many injuries. Like I said,
a little bit earlier, Philadelphia Eagles had 21 of their 22 starters from beginning of the
year. That's the main reason why you win Super Bowl. I mean, what, Lions have 14 starters out
going into the playoffs. I are. Yeah, and I are. You can't win no matter what, but just shows how good
their coaching was that they still dominated throughout the whole season.
And my hot take is that Minnesota is going to fall off this year.
They fell off in the playoffs last year and that's just going to continue.
A quarterback that's just brand new.
You can be high on him, but he's brand new.
Never played a game in the NFL.
Just they're going to fall off.
They're going to win like seven games this year.
I mean, KOC got.
He's great.
But that's my hot take.
That's a good hot take.
It's just a hot take.
I know.
Well, my hot take is...
what is my hot take let me think i just threw you off he threw me off well that's that's what a
hot take is supposed to do my hot take is green maid packers aren't making the playoffs what now i'm
looking at you like you're an idiot i like these hot takes we got we got young team we always talk oh
they're so young there's i don't know man they they they just it doesn't seem like they when they're when
they're when they're when they're when they're clicking it feels like
Backyard football to me sometimes.
You know what I mean?
Like you don't really have consistent methodical long drives.
I love Brandon Jacobs.
I love the whole,
but I don't know, man.
I know I love Golden.
They drafted Golden in the first round
who's going to be a really good receiver.
But maybe they take a step back too,
Graeme Bay Packers.
We'll see.
I know what you mean.
If we're both right on their hot takes
and Detroit and Chicago
will be going to the playoffs.
Or only one.
But I feel like if those two tank,
Chicago's...
What if they all just beat each other up?
then they're all bullies they're bowling each other
that's a hot take
who's gonna win it
Detroit Lions
they're too good
they got everyone coming back
watch Green Bay's gonna end up winning the division
my hot take is they don't even make the fucking playoffs
I'm going with Detroit Lions as well
I think they have just too many good players
and they have experience on how to win now
exactly you know
NFC West Robbie
who's in this division yeah we got the L.A. Rams
We got the Seattle, Seahawks, San Francisco, 49ers, big disappointment last year.
And then we got the Arizona Cardinals.
Oh, am I already throwing out hot takes by saying big disappointments?
Oh, yes, I am, because that's what we do here.
We're hot takers.
What's our most exciting thing, though?
Oh, the most exciting thing?
I'm excited for, in this division, ooh, what we got?
I'm excited to see what Devante Adams can do with Matthew Stafford.
I mean, who doesn't love a connection?
That's what brings fans into the stadiums.
And you got one of the best receivers in the game, Devante Adams and both vets and
Matthew Stafford, are one of the best quarterbacks in the game as well.
I want to see that connection and see what they can do.
You know, hopefully Stafford's throwing.
You got that disc, that this thing's scary, no?
He should come hang out with us.
You just got some surgery on your disc and your neck.
I had three surgeries on my disc.
He's a quarterback, though.
Suck it out.
Oh, my gosh.
Robbie, I'm most excited for, honestly, I'm just most, I'm most excited to see,
I think this is like the most even division low key.
I think the Cardinals are going to be better than what people think.
Gannon has used his whole draft to draft defensive guys.
He's a really good defensive coach.
And Kyler Murray always has that sneaky, he's sneaky good.
like you could say what you want to say about Kylo
Murray but the guy I mean they went like 9 and 0
three years ago with Cliff Kingsbury they've had
winning football in in Arizona
and I just think I like Gannon
I like the coach I think I'm excited to see what
the Cardinals do this year because I think
this is a muddier division than what people think
San Francisco they don't I don't know who's going to play
receiver for them they have a lot of like
question marks there.
We don't know what their defense is going to do.
They lost Greenlawn,
Hufonga.
I know they brought in Salas,
but we'll see.
Seattle, like,
I've been hearing nothing but great things
out of their camp about Sam Darnold,
and McDonald's going to have that defense rock,
and they got a lot of great players.
They have insane corners.
And then L.A., you can never turn your back
on Sean McVeigh,
but if Matthew Stafford doesn't play,
I mean, what,
Jimmy G?
Jimmy G?
He's got that offense under the rap right now.
What do you mean?
He does.
He's doing well in training camp.
Who?
What's are saying?
Jimmy G.
I mean, he's got a lot of great players around him.
He does.
Great offense.
And McVeigh.
I love Jimmy G.
But Matthew Stafford's coming to play.
If you just need Jimmy G.
For a game or two, that's fine.
He can do that.
But Matthew Stafford is going to be playing, dude.
He's got to be playing.
Like, bro, he's, you're back flared up.
He's 39.
So what?
You can fix that back.
You're the back expert.
Hot take.
Is it his arm?
No, but that back is everything.
But I think it's lower back.
If it was neck, then yes, it could affect his iron.
What about this?
You've got to be able to throw your hips through, though.
Yeah, he's got to fix that back.
Get the epidural shot, get some treatment around it, loosen up all the muscles, do all the rehab, and you'll be back.
I wonder how he popped that disc.
I know.
Well, he's had disc.
He's at disc problems a lot of time.
He's had a lot of back problems getting old.
Well, I probably know a source that will give out how he injured his back.
but we'll just keep it there who ha save it for the hot take what's your hot take okay uh man uh hot take
hot take oh the san francisco 49ers stay where they were last year bottom of the pack six seven
maybe eight wins they didn't really do anything this offseason to upgrade they paid brock purdy
they had to get rid of deebel samuels because the salary cap was just getting so out of control so my hot take
is that they, you know,
they look good on paper, but they
don't perform that well.
You know, this is fun.
I don't know if that's a hot take.
Well, you know something?
What you were most excited for was a freaking
hot take. What? The Cardinals
showing up. That's a hot take.
That's not being excited for you. I'm just saying.
Like, no one's ever excited for the Cardinals.
And you put them in an excitement.
Who in this division is good enough to just sweep the Cardinals?
Who?
The Rams?
they split every year they split last year go ahead um and that's all that's what i mean it's a lot closer
than you think and they have good players i mean you see Marvin harrison junior he looks like fucking
oh jacked i do like him maybe he's too jack though i don't know we'll see yeah too jack there's
it's rare when you're too jack the only player that ever ever like like i went against him because
saying he was too jack but what what is it when i go against someone and he he outperforms what
i say like what like what am i trying to get to come on just outperforms but like okay it's dk mccath
i said he's too jack to be good and he proved oh he proved me wrong proved you wrong he proved me
wrong that's what i was going for dk mcalf truly proved me wrong i was like that dude is so jacked
how are you going to be able to come in and out of breaks you know tightness and he truly proved me wrong
And I'm a huge fan of him now because of that.
So, but is Marvin Harrison Jr. too jacked?
His dad wasn't jacked.
Dad, no, but he clearly got, didn't get his dad.
Dad's like five eight.
But he's young to be that.
He's young enough to be that jacked.
Dude, he looks jacked.
But he's going to be great.
I ain't going, I ain't going against him.
He's going to be great.
He's, he's a good.
Yeah.
My hot take is, I think Seattle's making the playoffs.
Is that a hot take?
Is it?
I don't know.
They almost made the playoffs last.
sure did they well sato makes a playoffs and my hot takes gonna stay perfect because then that means
rams are making playoffs and san franz doesn't not three teams this year they beat up and i'm excited
for the cardinals i didn't say they were gonna like win the division oh you're just excited for them i'm
excited for them oh i'm not who's gonna win it i like battling battling might be the funniest
thing of all time like that's why you always fought people on the field i understand talking
shit who me people yeah because it got you going it was fun yeah i'm dang i was it i was an idiot i never
fought anyone well i did a couple you people elbowed someone yeah right and it was fun
all right who's gonna win i'm going with the los angeles rams enough enough enough said i don't need
explain my decision i'm going to seahawks let's get into the chills dude the

slash dudes and celebrate responsibly.
Rob, what are we doing?
Ah, you know, it may be preseason,
but it's never too early for some trophy talk, baby.
Give me that beer.
What all these hot takes?
I want my hot takes to even elevate even more.
So we're going to get a little tipsy for it.
So we're going to make our picks for the rest of the big awards.
Who we think will win the NFC and who we think is
in it all. Yeah, so let's get into it. Let's get into it. So, so last week, we said the
Bills will win the AFC and B AFC champions. I'm thinking, see, it's so hard. You know,
that's why I hate making predictions early on in the fucking season. Like a week later,
we don't even know how the rosters are right now. They didn't even cut down the goddamn
fat. But what's also cool is that everyone forgets what your prediction is as well. Like,
for anyone who makes a prediction. Like, I don't care who you are. If you're Adam Chepner,
everyone forget what your prediction was we all don't forget peter shragers because he's always right with
his predictions damn ass well you got to be right in order to be remembered in prediction my guy's been
right a lot but that's what's cool so you can be wrong so much and everyone will forget but if you're
right so just always take your shot take your shot yeah it's like wayne gretzky you miss
100% of shots you don't take unless if that was michael jordan it was one of them i think it was
Wayne Gretzky, right?
One of them.
The great one.
I don't know.
They're both.
I think it's pretty in there.
Yeah, it was both of them.
Michael Scott.
Um, coach of the year.
Oh, is it going to be?
We got some favorites.
Mike Rabel, Ben, Benjamin, huge Johnson.
Jonathan, I have a huge cannon.
Dave Canales and Sean Payton Faces.
Sean Peyton Faces.
Like the, like Peyton, like Peyton, like Peyton.
Yeah, like Peyton Manning.
Exactly just like that.
I don't you know what I was thinking.
Good commercial.
Yeah, I mean, they both played in Denver at one point.
Yeah.
Kind of.
Marketing got me.
Yeah.
So I'm going to go with Sean Payton.
You're going Sean Payton.
Yeah.
I love that quarterback that they have.
And Sean Payton's just been around, knows how to coach the game of football.
He freaking went to the playoffs with $80 million off of the salary cap.
I'm going with Sean Payton.
That's a great pick.
That's a great pick.
I'm going to go with raves.
He's already been a coach of the year, too, I think, hasn't?
so it'll be a two-time like Kevin Stefanski potentially.
I mean, if the Patriots make the playoffs,
he's going to be coach of the year.
Not if Sean Payton wins every game.
But he, you know, good hot take.
MVP.
Oh, I was just on the Kay Adams show earlier.
And I had to do some futures pick
and who was going to be an MVP.
I said Joe Burrow.
And why Joe Burrow?
Well, I mean, possibly if you look at the stats last year,
he should have won MVP, but you're not going to win MVP unless if you go to the playoffs at least.
And if you're not going to go to playoffs and win MVP, you better have like 30 more touchdowns thrown than the next guy.
So that's why he didn't get it last year.
But this year, I feel like they'll have a fast start finally.
I mean, that's what they're emphasizing.
And if they do that and you got Jemar Chase, who looks absolutely freaky and studly and dogly, all combined.
He might be the first one that could fit all three at once.
Joe Burrow will win.
Jaden Daniels.
I'm going with the Dark Horse.
He's going to be the future of this whole thing.
He's one of the futures.
Had the best rookie year of all time.
Him and Cliff Kingsbury with a complete year under their belt,
another off season together.
How many wrinkles are going to be in there?
Terry McLaurin coming late to camp worries me a little.
But once you have that chemistry that they've had,
I mean, Terry McLaurin, what do you have 11 touchdowns last year?
You get 11 touchdowns last year.
I don't think they need to have,
they don't even need to practice those two so i'm going jaden daniels i love this shit man
sipping my core's light just throwing out hot this is what i live for how freaking takes
hot take baby hot takes picks all that good old stuff this is fun now i know why analysts and
and these experts all do it yeah so called worth i guess we're so called experts now i mean
we went through it all so we are experts yeah we are experts all right nfc regular season champion
and I'm going with the Detroit Lions.
I love what the Lions are doing.
Dan Campbell,
Jared Goff.
I'm just hoping that they stay healthy this year.
And Aidan Hutchinson's an absolute savage.
It was freaking crazy.
This is how crazy is he thought he was.
If the Lions went to the Super Bowl,
he thought he was going to play.
They said he could have played.
No, he could have played.
They said he could have played.
But I love his mentality.
I love where his head's at.
I heard that he could have played.
Yeah, and they could have made the Super Bowl and they didn't.
But he could have played.
played i like that pick rob i like that pick but it's not going to stand a chance against the
philadelphia eagles in my pick what are you kidding me bro oh shit the eagles are in the nfc as well
yeah oh yeah damn they are the eagles bro they i i don't know howie roseman he does so many
gymnastics with the salary cap and free agent i just like what they got they have so many good
football players they've so the line is a little beat up though from what i heard right didn't they
they lost Juergenson?
I mean, I respect the Eagles to the max,
and I wouldn't surprise me at all.
If they won it all again, I'll be like, kudos to them.
But this is just my preseason pick.
I mean, it's not a bad pick.
Lions are fucking good.
And if the Lions don't win, everyone would forget it,
is going to forget about this pick.
All right.
Yeah.
What is this?
If the Lions win, I'm telling you, we're pulling this episode back up.
So who's playing for all the Marbles?
Well, last week, we both said the Buffalo Bills will be winning the AFC.
or no we said the buffalo bills will be the one seat actually last week well let's just say the
bills are making it all the way yeah let's just say that right yeah bills for me as well but so i got
bills versus lions and you got bills versus eagles i'm gonna pick the lines winning at all you know
you know that's gonna be tough for you know my hometown team you know the fans they're gonna be
like yeah he's picking against us well i'm just psychic and i just know what's up
like it's not like it's anything against the bills it's just I think the lions are going to win it all this year I mean if they stay healthy they got a great team and they got dan Campbell who's a maniac and I love maniacs not so fast new offense and new defensive coordinator over there Robbie I'm going to tell you right now the buffalo bills they're finally going to get it done they're going to go out and win the Super Bowl this year they have the offense and nucleus guys I like the Coleman receiver the Shakir kid
and then they have this guy named Josh Allen.
I don't know.
You ever heard of him?
He's a monster.
Is you think he's a nucleus guy, Josh Allen?
Oh, he's the proton.
Oh, I like that.
You just took this Jimmy Neutron talk to a whole other level.
He's a proton.
He's a proton.
You need other ones to magnitude.
I forget that.
What about a neutron?
Do you want neutrons?
He's an Ionibon or something, bro.
He's ioning bonds.
But let me say this.
Also, the bills, they got Milano back on defense.
Oh, he's good.
They got, they got Bosa.
They got Bosa.
who's been beat up a couple years that has to prove something that he can still play.
Yes.
They brought Bosa over there for January to make sacks.
So I'm hoping he stays healthy.
I think they have a good shot.
They didn't play very well in the preseason, but they didn't play anyone.
They had great practices and those joint practices I've heard.
So I'm excited to see what these Buffalo Bills do, and I think they're going to go out with the Super Bowl.
Maybe we can have the Bions win, lions and Bills combined.
That would be a Bion.
you're laughing at my buyans i can tell you some history that i know julian back in world war two
they combined the steelers with oh what team was it again i know they got combined uh um
howie roseman with the oh with the eagles i think they were called like the the steegals
yeah so maybe if world war war four happens which three we had for a third oh three i mean i feel like
this world's on his way sometimes
Hope not.
But hope not that the bills and Detroit are going to come by since they're both bordering with Canada, they'll be like, oh, that's easy.
We can have a strong border.
Let's create the buy-ins and win the Super Bowl.
Well, what if the bills and the lions play in the Super Bowl?
Then that would be like a Canadian-ish-type Super Bowl.
Yeah.
And then we can expand.
Because they both touch that border.
And then we can expand.
The choice is the only place where Canada is south of it.
And Roger Goodell's brain will go off with an idea.
Oh my gosh, now we can have a team in Canada, and a salary cap can keep going up.
And then we'll go to the Europe.
Yeah.
The Europe.
And then Australia.
And then Asia.
And then Japan.
And then the finally, Antarctica.
Antarctica.
The ice bowl.
And that was the chillest dude of the week.
Thanks to our favorite beer.

Hi, I'm Buzz Knight, the host of the Take and a Walk podcast, and join me for an upcoming
episode with Sack McFarlane, the creator of family guy talking about his new Frank Sinatra
music project. Anyone who loves music would salivate over something like this? The biggest
question for us was, what's in these boxes? There were a few unplayed gems that we had been
alerted to by Charlie Pignon of Sinatra Enterprises, so we
knew that certain songs like Shadow of Your Smile, which actually is not on this record,
it'll be on the next one.
Seth McFarlane.
Don Rickles went up to Frank Sinatra, and he said, listen, I'm going to be having dinner with
this lovely woman tonight.
Would you come over and say hi?
And just so, you know, because I feel like if she sees that I know you, it's going to make me
look really cool and, you know, I might have a good night.
During the middle of dinner, Frank walks over and says, Don, hi, how are you?
And Don goes, Frank, please, I'm in the middle of dinner.

We think NFL coverage should be informative and entertaining.
And twice a week, that is exactly what you're going to get.
We're just here to try to give you an NFL perspective a little bit different.
Did you see the Colts Pretzel?
That was my other big takeaway from that game.
What was that?
It looks like something that should not.
be sold. Oh my. So that was
my other big Colts take away. They sold that?
Yes. I might want to go back to the
Colts Stadium. Yeah, I might want to go back to the drawing board on that.
Yeah. I thought the shape we had with pretzels
was working pretty well. It's worked for generations.
We're just here trying to enjoy it. We hope you all
will join us throughout the year and let's go.
I hope I'm as youthful as Pete Carroll is at his age.
He's a young 73. He is a young 73. He is Sprott.
I wouldn't fight him. I would.

Should you?
That's what the real question is.

Okay, let's toss to Pop Douglas.
Pop Douglas.
Today we are joined by third year receiver here in New England from St. Augustine, Florida.
Underdog, went to Liberty College.
One double A, now known as FCS.
FCS.
FBS. FBS. No, no, they're FCS. FCS. And then they joined FBS his freshman year.
Right. And it has an independent school. Independent school. Where is number three? We have
Pop Douglas. Pop, welcome to the show. How is camp going thus far?
You popping out there or what?
I appreciate y'all having me, man. It's been a blessing. It's been a blessing, you know, to be out there,
you know, with the guys, man. Love the energy, man. The locker room, man. We bond together
but it's different.
And, man, I can't wait to hit the, you know, first week with these guys.
Mm-hmm.
Now, what's the excitement going on this season?
Man.
Where is it?
Like, with Drake, with the office and line, or just as a whole, with Vraebel being there now?
Does it feel different from the last two years?
Yeah, I say as a whole, man, you know, very,
Vrabe is a very, you know, players coach, you know, be on the field with us, man,
playing on defense, you know.
He knows it all.
So it's like, man, he has the group, like, trust in the process, you know.
I feel like we all, like, behind them and, you know, ready to go to war for him.
How's Coach Braves?
Man, good.
Man, like I say, good guy, definitely in tune to what we're doing.
I mean, in, you know, in season and, you know, out, you know, not in season out, but, you know, with us in life.
Also.
Yeah.
We're talking a lot about Coach Braves on all our episodes, well.
the players. But I feel like, yeah, he's going to make a difference for you as well. But the coach,
I feel like that's going to make the biggest difference. That's the first year coach is offensive
coordinator Josh McDaniels. What do you see Josh brings to the table, you know, this year than
what you were seeing the last two years? And he was also in Billy O's offense.
Yeah. So tell us the differences of these three different offenses. I mean, Billy O's offense
is kind of very similar. I don't know. To McDaniel's offense. It was. Mm-hmm. So,
what do you see different with McDaniels, though?
I mean, because he's a genius.
He knows his exes and owes like no other offensive coordinator out there.
And Billy O and McDaniels were Julian and I's offensive coordinator when we were at New England.
So what do you see?
I think with, you know, Coach McDaniels, he really harps on details.
You know, and he doesn't, I don't care how good you are or no matter what, like these details need to be details.
And as you train to keep doing that, and you start to do it, you know, you get on
coach the good side, you know, and you feel me?
And he's that, he's that guy, you know, he's that guy who's going to call it up.
And you've seen it even film, you know, with you guys, and you boys, you know, you're bald.
So we just want to, you know, do what y'all did.
And hopefully, you know.
Consistency as well.
He really love consistency.
You know, you can do it once, but if you can't do it again, then he's not going to call the play.
Right.
He calls that play a couple times for you.
you and you can knock it off, you know, and you can ace it in practice. He's going to be so
confident to call that play when it comes game time as well. There's no doubt about that.
How's Todd Downing as a coach? O-TD. That man, he's a receiver coach. No, receiver coach.
You know, he was a quarterback coach and he sees, you know, what the quarterback can see,
you know. So if we run around, he'll tell us, like, when you do this, man, the quarterback sees
this. And we don't think like that, you know, as we run in our routes. But, you know, as he
tell us that we're like oh you're right like say if we got a out route and we red zone and we got
a you know why would i go past the linebacker and get out of the qb vision so it's like stuff like
that that you know TD help us see you know uh maybe somebody else won't see so you know and
like i say he he's that guy who who cares for you on the field and off the field
all right let's get off football talk for a little bit you can get back to it julian what do you
like to do on your days off like you get a day off man you know do you like to just chill
are you a video game guy or you're just hanging with the family you got kids what's going on
with you man i ain't got no kids all right yeah i'm on the i'm on the game you know i love to play
like all my friends so i can talk what game NCAA madden 2k i'm i like sport game phifa i play
fortnight too portnight yeah oh mlb i got into melb i'm lb yeah it's tough the game's tough
i'm not gonna lie of y'all the game it's tough who's your favorite battery the bat with oh i don't
I ain't go.
You just pick a team, you don't even know who the players are?
I just go to, like, one of the best teams.
Yeah.
Who's your Madden team?
Patriots.
Patriots, yeah.
Are you throwing to yourself at least 30 times a game?
Definitely.
That's what I used to do.
I ain't a lie, yeah, I do.
Did you ever play with Julian on Madden back in the day?
Yes, I did, though, but it'd be crazy, though.
Like I said, like, I'm sitting here right now.
I used to play with a game with you, boy.
That's dope.
That is dope.
That's cool.
Take us inside the receiver.
room. What's the dynamic in that room? Who's the vocal guy? Who's the jokester? Who's the
veteran? Let's educate some of these people on who's in this room. Man, we got so many different
personalities, but it all comes together on the field. I say, Steph, you know, that's the vet,
you know, and he doesn't seem it all. So he definitely, he don't let nothing slide, you know.
That's what we needed in that room. We needed somebody who's not going to let you slack and don't
let you do nothing. And also that's Mac Hollins too. Matt Hollins, that's a different breed.
I ain't going to lie. He, when he's on the field, he talks smack when he can back it up.
Like, you know, that's what we need to on the field. Man, he might be somebody who, uh, break
the DB down just by saying something, you know, uh, you know, some people probably don't
got the mental. Um, booty, y'all see him from, you know, that when he was our rookie year
And, you know, he had to sit out, then not look at his ears.
He's bawling.
He, he bawled in, and he's trusting the process.
I feel like that was one person I would say that I've seen grown from our rookie year and up.
And you got the new K-dub.
K-dub, he different, man.
I don't see him ball.
And I watched his film, and I was like, oh, yeah, we can use him.
Every aspect we can use him.
But his personality off the field even better.
Cheers.
That's my boy.
Oh, cheers him?
Yeah.
Cold.
He cold, man.
And he brings that, he pushed me.
You know, on the field, he helped me not get complacent.
Not saying that I would, but he, I see him work.
I'm working.
He see me work.
I know he's working.
So it's like, the better I am, the better he going to be.
The better he is, the better I'm going to be.
So I feel like both of us, we're just pushing each other because he can ball.
Who's taller?
Chis or Julian?
I don't know, buddy.
Where are you?
I'm 5'10.
Oh, he might be, yeah.
Chez might be 5'n.
Oh, they say my hip, but who's more chiseled?
Chis or Jules?
Sorry, Jules.
Yeah, Jules are skinny right now.
He just had neck surgery.
He hasn't been able to work out.
He's out.
Yeah, Jules.
These young bucks are more chiseled than you, man.
I can't call you boxer rip anymore, man.
What are you going to do?
You got, I got to get, you know, I just had a neck surgery.
I'll give you some slack right now, but by end of the season, you better be more chiseled than chisels.
I'll be a lot of fat.
Or else, I'm coming back at you.
I got you.
I got a pass right now, but, but what about me?
Do I got to get Jack too?
He do.
What are you?
Fast, though.
Yeah, you got him.
Looking kind of skinny.
Yeah, I am.
Is Tyler Warren more jack than me?
I haven't seen him.
Yeah, good.
Like that.
For Penn State?
Can't compare me right now.
Yeah.
He's pretty jacked, isn't he?
Yeah.
Yeah.
What's the chemistry like, you know, with Drake May?
Because year one, you know, you're figuring each other out.
What's it like going into year two?
Because when I was with Tom, my rookie year, man, I was all over the place.
There was chemistry, but there really wasn't.
And then finally, I got up to his level going into year two.
And, boom, we just hit it off.
So what do you see different from this year, you know, going into your second year with him?
Confidence.
You know, I don't feel like nobody can take that feel without that confidence.
And I feel like as I've seen him grow, he's been.
been, you know, getting, playing faster, you know, playing faster and more calm.
He back there, you know, sitting back there.
Oh, my back.
Sitting back there and, you know, throwing dots.
And that's what we need from him.
And just to be, you know, calm back there and, you know, deliver the ball and, you know,
call the right, you know, right things.
But he's been doing his thing and becoming a leader.
He's been a great leader, you know, for everybody, not just offense, but office and defense.
And I feel like he got the guy.
that we're going to fight for him too.
Throwing dots.
I haven't heard that in a while.
I like that.
That means you're throwing some freaking bullets
if you're saying throwing dots.
Yeah, he's hitting it right on then.
I like that.
So you're going into your third year.
Would you have 64 catches last year?
68?
It's 60-something.
60-something.
Yeah, you know, you know those guys.
Nah, that's why I know.
But you had a good year.
I feel like he truly doesn't know how many.
I like that.
I like that.
How many yards?
You know how many yards you had?
600-something.
600-something. I like that. I like that. He just knows. I know like the beginning number.
So who, you've had a lot of production for your, you know, for your first year with the rookie quarterback. That's good production. What are some of the goals that you want to go into year three, second year in a new system with Josh McDaniels, second year with Jake May. What are some of like individual goals for you?
Be consistent, you know. For like every game, just go out there and, you know, just do my part. And not try to do.
like extra parts just do my part and when the ball come out way come out way make a play you know
um as i carry that ball i'm carrying the whole new england so i feel like you know it's a lot of weight
on my back so i got to i got to go who told you that one when you're carrying the ball you're carrying
all the hopes and dreams of the whole organization yeah i know about that who told you that
bill bill oh bill oh i forgot you were under bill yeah he's got three he's got three my bad i
forgot i was like is rabel using that line and you guys too so yeah you you were what bill
it's last year that is correct oh man i i didn't i didn't really put that together holy crap yeah bill
that was one of bill's favorite loves i'm gonna use that for the rest of my life too yeah like even
when i'm on air like you know before the you know on the fox you know pregame kickoff show i'm like
fox the whole organization of fox is on my shoulders right now like i got to come through with
some great analyzing that yeah analysis yeah analysis analysis analysis analysis analyzing sounds
who are some guys that you looked up to when you wanted to become a receiver
in college when you were younger football player who were some of the guys you modeled your game
after uh tayvon austin the beast what before every game i used to you know put that one video uh
it started uh na na na na na i swear every man i used to go to the game i swear i'm out there thinking i'm
Tavon also trying to get to Jiggy, coach just telling me, go forward.
And, man, I feel like that was one guy who really,
who I used to watch before every game and go out there and play.
You ever meet him?
No.
You haven't met him yet?
No, I haven't met him.
No.
Well, we have a good year.
You're going to go meet them probably.
Then you get to.
That'd be a blessing.
He'll be honored to meet you now.
That's a blessing.
Yeah, that's what's up.
You're going to have a breakout year.
I'm feeling it.
I appreciate that.
What are you doing different, like, from last year to this year?
Or you're just growing, just because you're just growing.
Yeah, I think I'm growing.
You know, that first year you really learning, that second year, you know, a lot of, a lot, everybody really, like, focused on you, like, man, he has to do this, have to do that.
And then, you know, I'm, everybody's expectations different than probably mine.
You know, I'm, you know, every year just trying to get better.
Every year trying to get better.
So, you know, like this year, man, I'm working.
Like, you know, off-season, that's been my, I've been harping on it.
Like, this year has to be better than the last.
And I feel like as I, you know, what I do off the field is going to show on the field.
So I just got to go on.
Like, what's consist of work?
What do you mean you're working?
How do you work differently this year than you did last year?
I'll say, like, mentally too.
Like, mentally, you know, get my mental better as of, I wouldn't say that I have, like, not mental problems.
but like just to for me to Julian does
I had them but I got out of that you know
era
actually I still got some mental problems as well
it's a red flag if you don't have mental problems
you'll see after about year six seven eight
you're gonna start giving us a call
y'all I'm going mentally crazy
just call Julian and I we'll get you through it
I'm just how y'all if I you know get something like this
have we all my podcast
I'll tell you right now, you do well on the field, and this kind of stuff comes.
You've got to keep the main thing, the main thing.
There we go.
That's the truth right there.
That's true.
But that worked.
So, like, what did you do in your off season?
Did you look at all your, like, I look at every target of my, that I was targeted,
every catch I had, every, you know, ball that I didn't do well.
Did I look at all my run blocks?
Did I look at other receivers around the league, see how they got open?
Did I look at a guy that, you know, what are some of the things that made you
think that you were working hard um i say working on the things that was probably what probably i
struggled with you know in uh the previous year uh when i watch film i do like to go you know watch
and see like what i've done you know and what can i get better at so it's probably little things so
i actually for this year i went back to my rick year to go watch my rick year and see like before you know
Josh, before we even, like, got together, my watchers and try to remember the plays.
Like, just to, I just remember that the plays used to be the same.
And when we got to camp, they was low-key the same, but it's just different terminology.
So I was like, man, this is going to be great.
So I was really just more locked in, you know, choosing whether to go somewhere or, man, just chill in the house and, you know, vibe and, you know, rest my body.
And I felt like that's been really been taking me a long way.
I tell you, just from someone who's been in this offense and who's had to grind,
the number one thing for me was the better I knew my playbook, the better I knew my concepts,
the better I knew my formations, my personnel groups, the better I knew the coverages,
the better I knew the tendencies of the defense, the better I knew what they did in every situation.
then I got to use my superpower.
And I had a, you know, everyone's got a superpower.
Your superpower is quickness.
You know, your superpower's explosionness.
So the more cerebral you get, that's when you get to use your superpower.
You look at Gronk.
He didn't even know the damn playbook the first year.
And then, you know, and he still was unfair.
And then he learned the playbook.
And then it became unfair.
And then it became super unfair.
You know what I mean?
Because that's the ultimate difference once you get to this level.
Everyone's fucking good.
The guys that separate each other are the guys that really study the game and understand the game and understand the rhyme or reason.
Why are we doing this?
Why am I running this read route with this in cut right here?
Oh, we're high-low and this guy.
Oh, so, you know what I mean?
So, like, that's the stuff that always made, I don't know if I could speak for you, but for-
You can speak for me, no doubt about that.
And I always said as well, if you're thinking, you're beat.
So if you're thinking about what type of route you're running, you're thinking about your release,
well, you're beat right off the line of scrimmage already.
That defender is just going to get right up in your grill because you're a second behind.
And when you're a second or even a half second or one-tenth of a second behind, the guys are
so good in front of you as well, boom, they have the advantage and you're never going to get open then.
So if you're thinking your beat, know your playbook and you just go out there and do what you've got to do
and study them throughout the week.
So when you see the coverage, you're not even thinking about you.
Like, oh, I got this.
I know what to do.
When y'all, when y'all, um,
knew y'all gain your confidence, like, like, win, like, your game or year or?
That's a good question.
I've talked about it plenty of times before, but there's always this one route.
It was called Panther route, and it was get big in the end zone, you know?
And Tom's coming to me and we're in the red zone.
And it's step one yard into the end zone, box out the linebacker and get big.
Like, you don't try to do anything.
anything fancy gronk that's what coach bellichick billi yo said to me tom just get fucking big that's
what you are you're trying to be faster you're trying to be quicker well guess what you're not
yeah yeah you know you guys they're hurting my ego then finally you get rid of the fucking ego all right
i'm gonna get big and then i showed it in practice you know it was like what week eight or nine
my rookie year you know i got big boom tom put it where i need where he needed to put it i made
the catch because i got big box out the linebacker game comes versus chicago bear's rookie year
it's snowing all over the place snow game we're dominating i'm going versus an all pro
uh hall of famer brian erlacker guys two hundred sixty pounds one on one third and twelve
we're in the red zone groc this is the play tom looks at me hey it's panther you know get fucking
big he says in the hall get big do it like you did on friday well finally have some confidence
in you because i was all over the place man i was making some great plays but then running some wrong
routes thinking i should do things my way um and i'm like all right i get it they want
have done how they see it, which is right, which I thought my shit was right. No, it's not.
I get big versus our lacquer. Tom puts it right there. Catch it. Do a little dance.
Fucking gronk spike it. Snowflakes all over the place. And from there on out, they had the confidence
in me. So that was a great, great freaking feeling, man. That's tough, man. For me, I would say
my first game, I got confidence when we played against Philadelphia, housed a pun. I had an opening
kickoff tackle on kickoff team but it's not like the confidence stayed there i had to continually
earn my confidence and i earned my confidence through my preparation so like anytime i felt like
uh if any time i felt the funk and then i need to gain confidence i would just go do something
productive to my game i go catch a thousand 500 balls i go you know do some kind of footwork drill work
work the top of my routes, go walk through by myself, so I know the fucking NASCAR terms,
like it's nothing.
You know, that's how I gained confidence.
It was always through preparation.
But once I knew I could play the game, was that first game.
Once we got there, you know, I was like, I could play this game.
But then I had to continually, because there's ebbs and flows.
You know, everyone goes through the highs of the highs.
And everyone looks like a jackass on film, too.
You know, so it's like you got to continue to gain that confidence through the grind.
You know, that was for me.
One more quick question.
Who's someone on the Patriots that we should keep an eye on?
Ooh.
In my air, I mean, I remember Danny Woodhead came in.
I'm thinking pop.
And we had a...
I'm calling pop.
I mean, I am too.
I was hoping he said his own name.
Yeah, not a fact.
Let's just say Pop Douglas.
We're going to keep an eye on you.
I just need y'all to get you out popcorn ready.
There we go.
That's what I'm talking about.
That's the answer we're looking for.
Get the popcorn ready.
Yeah.
Jack, Kyler, you guys cooking it up.
I love it.
All right.
This is part of the show where we,
take our patented questions
for the system of what kind of dude
you are. We have these series of questions that we got patented by our patent
lawyers. Yeah, we're only allowed to ask you these questions. Yeah, they're
quick hitters. There are a series of questions to determine
on what kind of dude you are in the locker room according.
And there are five different categories of what type of dude you can be and we're
going to put you in one of the categories. You can be you can be multiple
categories, but what represents you the most? We got whiz, we got being a dude's
dude which is basically being a locker room guy you got stud you got freak and you got dog and you
got dog so we're going to figure out what one you are let's start it off with something easy
yeah easy cheesy um who's your favorite non-football athlete uh brun
lebron lebron jeans l bs lbj that that's a that's a freak yeah got to go brown so you're a freak already
I can tell
Oh man
What star recruit were you
Coming out of high school
Zero
Zero star
Oh yeah you went to Liberty
Yeah
Don't worry
Julian was too
I went to Kent
Don't worry
That was a four star
I was a beast
I was a freaking
Back to the question
We know what any stars you are dude
I love telling you guys.
We're all in the NFL right now, dog.
It doesn't matter what you were in high school.
It's about where you are now in the NFL.
But I was a four star.
All right.
Who's the most famous person in your phone?
Probably Stefan.
Stefan Diggs.
Yeah.
He's still, he's young.
He's young.
Stefan Diggs.
All right.
What do you got, Rob?
All right.
Oh, what's your fastest 40 time?
4-3.
4-3? Where was that at the combine?
Hand-time. Can I take the hand-time? If we go laser, 4-44-4-4.
Dude, that's a big difference. Good song by Jay-Z. Good song. That's a big difference.
4-3-9 on the laser.
4-4-4. I mean, not laser on the hand-time.
4-3-9 and then 4-4-4. I'm going to count the hand-time.
Was that what, at the Combine or your pro-day?
No. Or just in your backyard?
Combine. Combine.
Yeah. All right.
4-4-4.
College GPA.
You're not want to talk about it?
No, I was like a 3.2.
Three point two, smart kids, smart guy.
Student athlete over here.
Yeah, we like that.
Student athlete.
Oh, yeah, at Liberty.
They don't play.
Yeah, that is a smart school.
Yeah, they don't play no game.
I didn't get into there.
I was trying.
Yeah, you're a full star.
They wasn't, you weren't even looking at it.
Yeah.
Oh, man.
Whose posters or poster did you have on your wall growing up as a kid?
I used to have a, uh, I didn't have nobody.
poster i had like the camps like the games like uh when if i go to a florida game they
give you like the poster yeah they got the schedule on that yeah i used to put them up on my uh
and make it look like i got like recruit yeah i did that too yeah all the letters
um that you all those letters i were sent to your email yeah i had letters yeah but they never
offered me though yeah no they were never offered letters they were just like hey we're looking
at you or they was something about the school and i
I just posted up on my wall.
And then you got off of probably the next day.
No.
No.
I was just some of them, but not all of them.
I just thought it was cool to have like the letters.
But what was your,
what was the school that you would like make sure that schedule was up there?
It was Florida.
You love Florida, huh?
He loved Florida.
Yeah.
We play with a lot of Florida gators.
Yeah.
You're cooler than all of them.
I appreciate that, you know.
Yeah, my cousin was Brandon James.
He played for Florida.
So that's why I was really into, you know, the gate.
us into the gators all right all right jules um a couple more questions a couple more
we almost know what type of dude you are but we're not there yet you know what type of dude you
are yeah what are you what are you think no oh shit okay come on we're trying to figure it out
my bad thanks you're my bad that was a question that's a new one that's a new patented question
what type of dude do you think you are so all right what was uh the song on your high school
highlight tape.
Didn't have a song.
No song.
You didn't need one.
It was on like Max, I mean, Huddler.
Yeah, Huddle.
Yeah, I had the Huddles.
Instrumentals?
Yes, definitely instrumentals.
But it was like, I couldn't even tell you what the instrumental was.
Highlights were so good, didn't even need a song.
No, it's the second guy from a newer, like a younger generation.
I think that they don't, we used to make our own highlight films to send them out.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
So you put like your own song.
A arrangement of songs.
Yeah, we'd infringe the hell out of shongs.
Yeah, so you can't put a song on
anymore, or else you got to pay.
How do you mean how we make it?
Like, how did y'all make the video?
So you would download
the film onto your computer,
and then you would rip the film and put it on a DVD.
Y'all had to work hard.
Y'all had to work hard.
We thought the guys before us had to work hard
when they used to have to cut their own film.
When they remember, that's how it was.
That's crazy.
All right, two more questions.
All right.
If you are a car, what kind of car would you be?
Oh, this is a good one.
Car.
I'm like a Uris right now.
Uris?
Yeah.
What's a Uris?
I've never heard of it.
Is that the three-wheeler?
No, the Uris.
What that is?
The Lembergini.
Oh, the truck.
I don't know.
SUV.
Yeah, a little SUV?
Yeah, yeah, Uris.
Those things are compact.
They're very fast.
Yes.
Built for all weather.
that all-wheel drive
Mm-hmm
Got one
Dang
Um
Speed on it
Turbo speed
Then the last question
How do you eat your steak?
Pop
Medium well
Medium
Well
With utensils
Or bare hands
It depends
If there's no more
For it some spoons
And I'm gonna
Yeah
And what if there's like
Some meat left
In the bone
Like you got a rabbi
With a bone
You're just picking up
That bone
With your hand
Yes
that's good
it's good
give us a couple seconds here pop
we got to go over
don't think like
where we're weird
we're just having a meeting
over here
yeah yeah I'm just wait
up here
no worry Julian is a little weird
What do we get
Yeah it's weird
But just pretend it's not
Went to Liberty
We ran 439
Asteris hand time
4 5 flat
No no he was 448
4 4 4 4 4
That's a good Jays
You saw 444.
GPA was 3-2.
Smart guy.
He's a smart guy.
And then he's got like one of the fast.
He thinks he's one of the fastest SUVs
on the market right now.
That's right.
And all train.
All terrain, but also speed go that.
But that time doesn't match up with that car.
It does a little bit.
All right.
Maybe some days he has turbo boosts.
Yeah.
They'll forget the turbo.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
On three, one, two, three, pup dog.
Yeah.
Not pop dog.
Pup dog.
You have a lot of dog tendencies.
You have the dog in you, but you're still a puppy.
You need to see one more year of it.
We need to see one more year of it.
And then we're going to have you come back on and we'll determine on what kind of real, like the dude you really are.
But everything, you come from Liberty, FBS, S-E-S.
You were a zero-star.
Zero-star.
You had, you know, 60-something catches last year in a year where there wasn't a lot of production from the receiver room.
So you have production.
You got that in you.
We just got to pull that puppy out of you.
And after this year, I think we could, we can officially stamp the dog on you.
And you were a Florida Gator fan.
Those were dogs.
They were dogs.
We played with a lot of them.
Yep, we did.
And you look, that era, just watching them, your era watching that, you know, program, freaking absolute dog, savages.
But y'all called me like, pup dog because of my height.
No.
No, I swear y'all be attacking you.
I'm only like two inches taller on you, bro.
You're not that short.
Just tall.
Just because you're young.
That's how they do me.
You're a puppy.
You're just young.
Somebody will be an inch taller.
Yeah.
You'd be like, little bit.
No, we would never do you wrong like that.
You just tell them I'm in the same locker room you're in, buddy.
That's right.
And I came from Liberty.
Where'd you go?
Oh, you went to Alabama?
Come on, man.
Come on.
So we got Pup Dog by Pop.
Pop, anything you want to plug?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, Instagram.
What is it?
You know, Pop Shot of three.
Pop shot?
Yeah, and I'm also coming out with this thing called Pop Quiz.
Pop Quiz.
Yeah, man, you know, I went into Boston, you know, asked people a couple of questions, you know, about the Patriots.
And so it's going to be nice.
Where do we find Pop Quiz?
I'm going to be posted on Instagram.
It's going to be soon out.
I'm going to let everybody know when it come out, but it's going to be good.
So you're going to go on the street to race.
regular people and pop them with a quick quiz.
Pop them with a quiz.
That's cool.
That's going to be fun.
Can you like preview it a little bit?
Can you just ask Julian and I one quick question?
Yeah, real quick.
If we know the answer.
Oh, yeah.
Come on.
Let's see a pop quiz.
Let's see it.
Pop quiz.
Pop quiz.
Because there's only one game that somebody did this.
Okay.
What Super Bowl?
Who was the person who scored the game winning in Super Bowl?
James White.
Correct.
Wait.
Wait, what was the whole?
Who was the person who scored the game winner in the Super Bowl?
James White.
Of the Patriots era.
Yeah.
There's plenty of Super Bowl.
You got a...
The game winner, though.
The game winner.
The game winner.
Is he the only one to ever score the game winner?
Yeah, in overtime.
I think so.
Holy shit.
See, I'm learning.
I don't even know that.
Can't die and cracked them.
Got to get the play started.
Come on one more.
Come on one more.
I want to win.
I want to win.
Okay, you're on the win.
Let's see.
Yeah.
This round y'all era, this is not fair.
Okay, let's see.
We should get the pop quiz.
Facts.
Who, ooh, name three players who wore number 12.
Oh.
Tom Brady.
Yeah, I don't know those two, though.
In Patriots?
Yeah.
Grogan.
Does Stephen Grogan wear it?
No.
No, I don't know.
Oh, you don't know?
Oh, you don't know?
No.
Is it three Patriots or is it just three-12s?
I would think, yeah, I would know.
Three Patriots.
12s.
Well, for like half the goddamn...
So you're pop quizzing us so you can get some information.
That one.
Yeah.
Pop, I think the guy that wore 12 that we played with played for like half the
in the team's existence.
So time when he was 20, time when he was 30, and time when he was 40.
That's a good one.
Yeah.
Them three different people.
That was good.
Them are three different people.
Those are three different people.
But somebody actually answered it.
Who?
Somebody don't know it.
And they knew?
Yeah, they knew it.
All right.
They knew it.
Wow.
Ooh.
I can't wait to see this.
That's a fun concept.
Mm-hmm.
Pop quiz on Pop's Instagram, which is...
Pop shot of three.
Pop shot o three?
Shop three.
Pop shot up three.
Yep.
Go check them out.
Thank you for coming on, bro.
Thank you, I appreciate you.
It's been a pleasure.
And we're going to be rooting for you, man.
We want to see you do well.
I appreciate so bad.
Dominate out there this season.
Let's give it. Stay healthy.
Go from little pup dog to freaking full grown dog.
No, to pop dog.
Pop dog to full grown dog.
No, pup dog to pop dog.
Yeah.
Change the you for a nose.
People's heads off.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
And that's been another episode of dudes on dude.
Thanks again to Duncan.
And thank you again to Pop Douglas.
It's going to be an exciting year.
