Bad blood in the world's most famous arena.
But revenge is a dish best served cold.
Ice cold.
This is the sloppy seconds game.
Welcome to Games with Names.
I'm Julian.
He's Jack, and we're on a mission to finding the greatest game of all time.
And we have a special treat today coming out with an NHL legend turned big time actor,
old friend, neighborhood watch, Sean Avery.
And if you haven't already, drop a like and a subscribe to Games with Things.
Let's go.
Games with Names, a production of IHeart Radio.
Today we are looking at Stars versus the Rangers,
January 26, 2010, NHL Legacy game with the one and only,
Sean, in one sentence, why'd you pick this game?
One sentence.
Irony.
One word.
One word.
Even better, baby.
One word.
Yeah.
Can you use that?
Is that like a rhetorical question word or is that a...
What is this a trick now?
I don't know.
No.
Irony.
Is this the greatest game of all time?
Not the greatest game of all time, but for me, it was just...
It was ironic and it was fun and it was nice.
And everybody had a good time.
Both sides were happy.
Yeah.
It's good night.
Good night.
Well, let's, we'll get into it.
Let's jump into something fun and nice.
The Odyssey.
By the way, second time I'm here in a year.
Second, you're a two-timer.
Very few.
How many do we have?
We've had Danny Mendola, Rob Grancowski, Rich Eisen.
That's about it.
Ernie Adams.
Sean Avery now.
Sean Avery.
Our man.
And he's the only guest to ever shower before an episode in the Nuthouse.
History was made today.
No one has ever come over and said, Jules, I have to take a shower.
in your house?
Not yet. Not yet.
But the people,
what's his name
took a shit before?
Oh.
Who was that?
Who stunk up the doorstool?
Oh, yeah.
Fidelberg.
Vidalberg.
Oh, geez.
Oh, he talked about it though.
He admitted it.
Yeah, he had full diarrhea.
Because it was right there.
It was right there.
Yeah.
Oh, man.
He's a real.
He didn't even go to guest.
Oh, geez.
How could you even get it out
with that much pressure?
I think he was like holding it.
Yeah, I honestly don't know
how he didn't hear him either.
It's right there.
It's right there.
By the way,
Mazel Toff to
Dave for becoming a bestseller.
Honestly, yeah.
Shout out.
New York's best seller.
First week.
First week.
Pretty impressive.
Right out of the gates to one.
Shooting up the charts.
Welcome to the club, buddy.
Bad guys.
Welcome to the club.
Oh, you had one too?
Oh, yeah, relentless.
Yeah.
Memoir.
New York bestseller.
I sure brought a copy of mine.
Did we got a book?
I wrote a romance novel.
Did I talk about that last time?
No, we did not.
We got to get into this.
Oh, I should have brought a copy.
Anyways, whatever.
It's not that big of a deal.
Yeah.
I wrote a hockey romance novel called Offside.
And I wrote it before he did rivalry.
I was just going to say, was this the impetus or the inspo?
I wrote it before heated rivalry came out.
Now, could we sue?
No, but I'm working on, did you ever read a million little pieces?
No.
James Frey?
Great book.
I'm working on James writing the adaptation.
Yeah. We're going to make it a movie, I think.
Are you going to be in it? No.
Why weren't you in the other one? What is it?
Heated rivalry? Heated rivalry.
Well, Heated rivalry season two is on the horizon.
But, you know, my price just went up.
Damn right. And why did it just go up?
Yesterday's price is not today's price.
I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
I just want to let you know here in the Nut House, we took a field trip yesterday, 315, to
the Century City
theater. You guys saw the movie?
We went and saw the movie. Yeah, 315.
XL. Just so we get to see it.
We didn't get to see it in IMAX.
That's fine. It's almost too much
the first viewing in IMAX, so I'm glad you guys.
What'd you think?
It was spectacular. Wow.
And we had an over
under count.
I said we would see you seven times.
Way over. Way over. Way over.
Always bet the over. Way over.
Way over. And I couldn't believe.
You made it to the last boat?
I save Odysseus.
If you watch it, there's a hand.
I do.
My famous hand, you get a nice side profile,
but I'm the one that grabs him and puts him on the top half of the boat.
And then, you know, you can't spoil the movie.
It's a 3,000-year-old story.
He lives and we die.
Yeah.
But I did make it to the end, yes.
It's unreal.
Now, I didn't see, are we allowed to talk about this?
I like to imagine the guy being like, no spoilers on the hot scene.
No, yeah, of course.
Now, we didn't see you in the pig scene.
Did you get turned into a pig?
Really? You guys didn't see me in the...
We were looking for you.
We thought it would be a very easy role.
Oh, I would say that that's my most identifiable scene.
Are you guys serious?
Did you see him in the pig scene?
I couldn't find him.
And not only am I in the pig scene, I believe, which I thought I was safe on,
that I got transformed into a pig.
But was that, was that you?
One of them.
One of them.
Where they do the, it was, that was wild.
Yeah.
No CGI in this movie.
No.
So Cyclops, how do we do that?
Who was that in there?
Bill Irwin, who played Tars and Interstellar,
who is like an unbelievable human.
And he's an older gentleman.
I don't know if Bill's,
he's definitely in his 70s, I think.
he's the guy. Tars was a, was a, was a man. Did you know that? No, I thought he was a machine.
Well, there was a man inside the machine. So anyways, he was the Cyclops. So part of it was
basically a 60 foot puppet, a six-story puppet. I don't, I don't know. It was the biggest puppet I've
ever seen where there were multiple people that were marionette in it. Really?
you know, but on a larger scale.
And then I think it was all Bill in a mini cave.
Dude, it's wild what they can do.
That is crazy.
In a miniature cave.
Oh, my God.
What was the craziest made-to-movie thing that you saw on set?
Like, that you're like, how did they do this?
Because I'm putting that up there as like one of them, the Odyssey Maker.
Okay, well, we, yeah, I would say so.
the last Dregonian scene
that is
real giants
that they flew from all over the world
guys that were like six foot four
or sorry seven foot four
six foot four seven foot four
and then they had
a bunch of Serbians
very very small
I don't know if you would call them
the stunt people were super small
I don't know what the word is
because I don't think they're considered
little people, but they were under five feet. They were under four feet 10. So you wanted three feet.
So I guess they call it some sort of thing like force perspective. That's the terminology. So you would
see it and it's just all optical illusions. But that forest was very interesting because that
forest, the Cuban forest in Scotland. Scotland's awesome. You would love Scotland. By the way,
I'm part of the tartan army. I believe that. I saw you in your kilt. Yeah.
Oh my God, yes.
Full kilt guy now.
Full kilt guy.
So much airflow.
Right.
It was a hot, humid day in Boston, flowing down, spectacular.
I fully became a kilt guy, and Rob was wearing a miniskirt.
His was a little too short.
I mean, it was incredible.
You guys went fully in.
So to that point, Scotland's incredible.
But this forest, the way the forest has grown or it was planted, you know, there was a lot going on.
So I don't know the fine specifics.
The trees are all kind of anatomically placed.
So it messes with your eyes when you get into that forest.
They enhance it, I think, a little bit in the scene where it kind of closes in on us.
But yeah, everything was like a trick.
Everything was a trick so that you could see it in camera, which, I mean, I didn't see a blue screen or a green screen or whatever they call it.
once, except on the lot at the end.
The last thing we shot was the boat breaking apart.
But the screen behind it, it was a giant wall.
They didn't use it because it was, there was so much water and everything was so close and tight.
Like, yeah, there's no CGI that I saw in this movie.
Man, it was incredible.
I mean, and it was, we went in at 315, came out at like,
745.
Good time to see it too, by the way.
Perfect time to see it.
Nice window.
Pro moved to see it.
It was nice.
But it didn't feel like a three-hour movie.
Flew by.
And that's the sign of a good long movie
is when it doesn't feel long
because you're in on the movie the whole time.
Engaged with the freaking characters,
engaged with what's going on.
Nolan doing his flashback thing
that he does in all his movies.
So good.
I mean, it was just, it was a freaking awesome, awesome watch.
Unbelievable watch.
Masculent man watch.
Also, you got, you know, you got a little bit of everything in it.
Well, what's interesting, I've seen it twice now.
And as manosphere as this movie is, I mean, this is like just men and savagery and people are fighting and war.
The elegance of a woman, though, though, she's running it.
I think the movie is driven by.
women.
Sersie is in control.
Athena is in control.
Penelope essentially is in control because he's trying to get back to her.
Samantha Morton was absolutely,
Circe was in control.
She turned us into pigs.
It's this like incredible balance of this,
this manly testosterone-driven
movie that is totally anchored by really,
really, really kick-ass women.
1,000%.
Amen.
And then also who is the wife
the twin wife?
So that's Helen of Troy's twin wife who kills...
Kills the husband.
Agamemnon.
Yeah, Agamandon.
Agamendon.
Who was played by Benzafi.
Let's get into how did you get this role?
How'd you prepare for this role?
Why are you in all of Christopher Nolan's movies and you have speaking lines and you're a
big time actor now?
How?
Well, as of today, I'm an unemployed actor.
So, you know.
Wait, what?
Well, as of today, I'm an unemployed actor.
Like, I don't have a job today.
Can you take unemployment?
No, no.
I mean, in the sense that I'll have a job by Friday, I hope.
But today, you know, you got to eat what you kill in this business.
We don't get to sign like five-year deals that are totally guaranteed.
Unless you're Sandler.
Unless. Well, yeah.
At a certain point, you get to where the big boys are, the big girls are, and you're locked in.
You don't have to worry about it.
John Papsedera, who is Chris's casting director.
The reason that I know John, everything is so wild and it's all connected.
I said I'll never do dancing with the stars, okay?
And then two years after I retired, I was like, oh, maybe I'll do it.
Okay.
John's wife, Valerie, is, she's like one of the producers of Dancing with the Stars.
So I make a connection with Valerie, all right?
Later down the road a year, maybe two years later,
because Pete Berg put me in Patriot Patriots Day.
Yes.
Bobberg.
I said, Boston Bomber.
Yeah, Boston Bombers.
I said, I want to act.
Oh, my God.
I remember Valerie Papsidera's husband as a casting director.
It's at a certain point when I was ready.
I came out to L.A. and I met with John.
he was like, you're not ready.
I thought I was ready.
I went back and kind of figured it out,
an acting school in New York,
this incredible woman, Kelly Kimball,
finally came back to John,
and he's the guy that's sort of been championing me
and kind of really looking out for me,
I think, in different stops.
Like, what's the right fit?
How are you going to handle this?
If you handle it, then you can get rewarded with the next step.
and then obviously whatever I've done with Chris,
I just try and stay out of Chris's way.
I try and hide from the camera for the most part.
I don't want to,
I don't want to,
I don't want to block or hog or try and fight for a shot,
which is sort of the fun of it on a movie like this
because there's so many,
there's a bunch of us and we're all like,
you know,
nothing's totally planned.
Like you have a lot of,
it's not like running around.
route. Yeah. And Troy, like, you have an idea of your vicinity based on where the camera is,
but there's no set route. Well, that's kind of like a Patriots offense. Is that how you guys ran it?
I mean, it's all variable. It's all variable. Really? The route changes to the coverage and the
quarterback and the receiver have to be on the same page. So if it's cover five, it could be a completely
different route than cover three, then cover four, then man. So it changes. And how would you communicate
In the huddle?
No, we both see the same look.
And you just know.
And we know.
If that's the coverage, then we-
Through practice and repetition,
probably like you guys had to do for this set.
You guys practice,
you walk through it.
And then when game time comes,
there could be a couple variables.
Totally.
But you still got to execute.
Wow.
Do people know that about the Patriots offense?
Yeah, that's one of the things.
It's different than the West Coast offense,
which is very, you know,
you go here.
It's very locked in.
Locked in. You run one route, five steps, this.
And if that's not open, he goes here.
If that's not open, he goes there.
Progression Reed, they say.
Now, wouldn't it be much tougher to play against Patriot offense versus West Coast?
Because then you're really dependent on the quarterback.
The quarterback has to know everything.
He has to be able to set the offensive line, know what the defense line is doing,
see what the concepts are, being able to change the concepts.
everything's relied on the quarterback.
When you get to these West Coast offenses,
you can plug a good quarterback in,
and everything's relying on the coach
and how he calls the plays.
Ah, interesting.
So great director, great quarterback.
Well, you got to be one of the greats
to be able to really do it the right way.
Without a doubt,
just like you have to be one of the greats
to be able to go out and be in the Odyssey.
Yeah.
Well, Chris kind of sets shots like that.
I mean, nothing is like truly said.
and he trusts us to kind of figure it out.
So anyways.
So he's kind of like a Belichick figure on set
where everyone's kind of scared of him.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Terrify?
It's a great comparison because
how could you give it another comparison?
I mean, I mean, you know,
but also stays out of your,
like he's not interested in bothering you.
He's interested in you performing your best.
Yes.
Yeah.
And it changes for each guy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
definitely. I mean,
and he's not going to pat you on the ass for something that you're supposed to do.
No, no, no, no, no.
But when you do get a pat on the ass, it makes your life.
Yeah, I mean, one or two, a movie.
A that, boy.
And very subtle. Yeah, like, nice choice, maybe out of the, out of the mass confusion, like,
hey, that was good. Yeah, that's, and by the way, that's all, I don't need it, but obviously, we like it.
Yeah.
We don't need any more additional praise.
I think that's what's interesting about.
I mean, you have a movie coming out.
I don't know if we're allowed to talk about yet, are we?
How long were you guys together?
On and off for six months,
because they gave us a couple of breaks where we flew home,
which is unheard of, you know,
to go shoot a movie somewhere,
rap, come home, rest,
and then go back out and shoot the rest of the movie.
Did you have to continue to train and shit?
though. Yeah, it was three week breaks. So honestly, coming home the first couple of days,
you were just like, I'm not comparing it to anything like a deployment, but it's like the end of
the playoffs. You're just, you're not really with everyone. Takes you a minute to acclimate yourself.
Yeah. Especially when you come from, I mean, Morocco back to L.A. is like, we were,
and was Azot, Morocco,
which is up over the Atlas Mountain.
I mean, that place is,
they shot Lawrence of Arabia there.
It's deep.
You're deep.
So, yeah, it was incredible to get breaks
and then sort of be able to kind of look back
and go like what you did that on that run.
Reflect.
Yeah, and how am I going to tighten my game up?
Yeah.
What am I going to come back with?
so I don't have the same shit.
So when you got the call,
who gave you the call
that you were going to be in the movie?
First of all,
I forgot all my lines in the audition.
Oh my God.
Yeah, just totally.
So I did one audition.
Yeah.
But I did an audition for that show
for that Kim Kaysen.
Oh, the Hulu show.
The Hulu show.
Yeah, Kevin Connolly was in.
He played a lawyer.
I was going to be her companion.
Oh, wow.
The boyfriend football player.
Oh.
I was auditioning for that.
Right.
And my first ever audition, I didn't even know what the fuck I was doing.
Yeah.
You know, I prepared a little for it.
But like, they gave me some lines.
And then the next day they called me.
And I had to do it on Zoom.
Oh, oh, God.
And I'm doing an audition.
Which is essentially a live audition.
It's a live audition.
Yeah.
And I'm doing a sex scene that is supposed to be Kim,
or whatever, but it's some dude.
So I have to do it to him.
Yeah, he's the reader.
The reader.
Right.
And I fully bombed it.
Fully bombed it.
Never got a call back.
And that was like,
ah, man,
I'm probably never going to be acted.
They're very difficult.
And still,
I am not great at them live in person
because, like,
that one was wild.
I was in the waiting room,
and there were two very, very well-known,
actresses, I call them actors
because I like to call them actors
because they are actors
but there were two actresses,
two female actors in the waiting room
that everyone in this room would know
and I was just like,
what the fuck is going on?
This is like crazy.
Like why did I come here
when the crossover was happening?
Like they should have just brought me
in when all the dudes were in here.
So I went in and I just forgot everything
and then Chris and John, the casting director,
made fun of the shirt I was wearing and told me to go home.
And then I got the call like a couple days later.
They said, I wore, I wore like, uh,
what shirt did you wear?
We didn't know what movie this was, right?
We had dummy sides.
So it was on the side of an ice mountain holding on to a cliff
because the cliff was falling and I was yelling at,
at somebody, some instructions up above.
So I wore like,
a kind of a tight white henley, like a thermal.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I know.
But I guess it was really white and it was probably too tight.
So I just, I don't think I looked cool.
But maybe you got it because you were showing you're jacked.
You had to be jacked for the roll.
Well, that was the funny thing.
They made a comment.
Like, it was sort of like, oh, you know, could you got that shirt tighter to show your muscles?
are the muscles that big sort of thing.
So whatever.
It was fine and it worked out.
But I remember the fires.
It was the day the fire started too, by the way.
Oh, God.
So it was early in the day.
So nobody really knew what was going on.
But like that night,
we were in the car driving to Palm Springs.
And I was,
I just,
my life was over.
I was like,
I bombed that fucking audition today.
Like,
like,
it's like Leo and once upon time in Hollywood,
when he goes into the trailer and screams at himself.
I'm done.
You loser.
What did you just do?
You did not prepare enough.
But like, I don't know.
It's different than sports because sports we can react physically.
Like if you forget the route.
You're also more comfortable in that environment.
Right.
But we have the ability to kind of just override the system.
I'm just going to go hard and I'm going to take this guy.
and I'm going to put them, my shoulder's going to go right through them.
Yeah.
When all else fails, right?
In the room, you're like, where am I?
What is the scene?
What whine do I say when they say that line?
It's just, it's tough.
It's very tough.
Which is why I think all the greats and the great moments happen from improvisation
and just like just the vibe and feeling it and being kind of,
it's like a great tennis.
match, but it also is a little bit in slow-mo so you can kind of see it coming. It's like seeing a
play happen before it happens. It's like deja vu. Take it. Yeah. Yeah, you got to just take that moment.
Now, is Nolan a director that hates when you do a little, uh, your own thing? As long as it
works. There's some directors to hate it, though. Yes. You got to go line to line. We'll be right back
after this quick break. You've heard the chaos. Now you can see it.
Oh, my gosh.

I'm sports journalist Ari Chambers.
Hey, what's up, y'all?
It's your girl, Sam J.
And we're the host of everyone watches women's sports,
a new podcast from Together and I Heart Women's Sports.
Because let's be real.
Women's sports is giving us way too much to talk about these days.
So Kelsey Finler, she became the first female solo rower
to go from California to Hawaii.
My first thought is like, what's up with the snacks?
Like, what are we eating?
The highlights, the rivalries, the breakout stars,
the moments that take over your entire timeline.
And the conversations that start during the game
and somehow keep going all.
All week.
Every week, we're breaking down the biggest stories across women's sports.
Naomi Osaka, showing out.
She beat Sabalinka.
Shout out to you, Naomi.
You get the palm, Naomi.
You get the palm for that.
Because we're not just interested in what happened.
We're interested in why everyone's talking about it.
Because everyone watches women's sports.
Listen to everyone watches women's sports.

Apple podcast or wherever you get your podcast.
Yeah.
So if Nolan's Belichick, who's Damon?
Ooh.
Oh, man.
It could be any sport.
No, no, no.
I'm going to give you football.
Eli.
Eli.
All right.
Eli Manning, why?
I mean, Mr. Consistency.
Like, really, I'm talking prime, Eli.
Yeah.
Right?
Beat you guys twice.
Twice in the bowl.
So that's ironic.
18 and one giant loss.
2011.
Sideline Mario Manny.
him right there, watched it. That one hurt.
They all hurt.
Yeah, I would say Eli, something, because I was in New York, so I was watching Eli play for the
Giants and like, just every day, accountability, always in the room after a bad game,
never shy away from the cameras. When the praise was high, he would take it. It wouldn't be
too much. It wouldn't overwhelm you. He wasn't a gloater. Just like. Also good sense of humor.
Great sense of.
humor.
Good sense of humor.
Like kind of jokester on the low all the time.
Totally.
Goes a long way as well.
Wait.
Who's Tom Holland then?
Tom Holland.
Oh, boy.
Tom Holland.
Barry Sanders.
Barry Sanders.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Just elusive.
He can move.
Yes.
Yes.
Spin move.
His dad's a comedian.
I don't know that.
Like a working comedian.
He,
England and
Holland's a bit of a ballbuster.
Is he? Yeah, like you can't
he doesn't fold if you
lean on him.
Because I had
some fun with him. What'd you say to him?
No, just, just, you know, like
I always throw cracks
in it at any point in time.
What was the crack?
I can't remember specifically.
But
usually it was
he's not the biggest guy in the world.
Is that what you were pushing me into?
He's not the biggest guy, but he is, he's great.
Like, I've watched him box.
He obviously can move.
You would not realize, like, a lot of those stunts.
He's in the-
fucking Spider-Man. He's got to have some athleticism.
No, no, he is. Of course.
He can move. He can move.
So he's very elusive.
And I would just, you know, there was always a little bit of back and forth
with me and him.
but he's he's great.
He seems fun.
Tom's great.
Who's good guy?
Who's Bernthal?
Oh my God.
John Bernthal.
What a legend.
I love John Bernthal.
Honestly, I think John's more of a big tight end.
What was he tight end?
Well, because he tries to, he comes in hot, you know.
He's kind of like a lineman and a skill guide together.
Yeah, because he can finish.
He can finish.
And he can be very vulnerable and sort of like.
He can be in the run.
game and the past game. Is that,
that's a, yes. Well, tight end is like a lineman
and a receiver put together.
Because they block? Yeah, so sometimes they're at the point of blocking.
Right. But also sometimes they're at the point of a past play.
And then they got to soften the hands up.
Soften the hands up. Wow. You got to be tough because you got to be able to take on big
ass de lineman. Okay. So who's the, so that's Bernthal. I don't know. Is that
that gronk? I mean, that's the greatest of all time.
Is he the greatest?
Both.
Like at a traditional, like, tight end.
Not like a pass catching tight end.
Not just a run blocking.
A guy that does both at an elite level is, is gronk.
Yeah.
Then I guess that's what, yeah, I mean, John's good.
And for actors and sets, he's big.
He's definitely.
What's that mean?
He's much bigger than everyone.
Like, he's bigger than me.
Yeah.
you know, taller.
He's got a...
He's thick.
He's got a stack on him.
Yeah.
Tiny little waist, big shoulders.
You ever see him?
Yeah.
I did his show like four years ago.
He's awesome dude.
His daughter is a world champion jujitsu girl at like nine years old.
That I didn't know.
Yeah, he's really involved with his children's, like, sports and stuff.
Yeah, he coached the basketball team.
He'd tell us all because he wasn't there.
So, yeah.
He was freaking out.
There's another coach coaching.
I think they kept the record alive.
He was always talking about me and my dad's relationship, like through sport.
So I know he's a great dad.
Yeah, yeah.
No, totally.
Absolutely.
We were up at the house.
We went up to see him in Ohio.
He was doing a play, like in between while we were filming the movie.
He's a savage.
I love John.
Who's the Twilight guy?
What's his name?
Rob Pattinson.
Who's Rob Pattinson?
Well, Rob Pattinson.
is one of the greatest living actors.
He's no longer the Twilight guy.
The Batman?
Yeah, Batman.
Team Edward.
Yeah.
I just,
my sister was so obsessed with him as that.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
In that time capsule of our life,
I mean, the Batman,
he's a great actor.
But who is he in sport?
Oh, fuck.
Oh, fuck.
Oh, boy, he's a wide receiver.
I mean, like,
he's like,
Jerry Rice.
The greatest wide receiver.
Rob Pattinson is a heavyweight.
He's about to be in Dune 3.
I saw the trailer.
Oh my God.
It looks like,
yeah,
this is just one of these guys.
Jerry Rice has every record.
So that would mean like he's got to have everything.
I don't even think Rob Pattinson has really started to find his like high level game yet.
Yeah.
Like winning Oscars and,
and he goes into movies where he'll just,
which is rare, I think, today,
he's not afraid to just pop in a movie,
do his part, and then get out.
Like, he doesn't need to carry movies.
I mean, he does that enough with Batman.
The Batman's are awesome.
But he's incredible in The Odyssey.
I mean, he was really good.
He was awesome.
Because he makes you feel the feeling you want to,
to hit, his character.
I don't know if I'm supposed to allow it.
You know what I mean?
That's sick.
That's sick.
He just has the, you know what I mean?
Like, fuck this guy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And that's, what is acting, it's not, it's not, it's not true or false.
It's beliefs or not beliefs or, right?
Well, do you believe him and are you, are you being sucked into the movie by him?
I am.
I was.
It was like being in the Trojan horse.
Not good.
Was it hard?
Yeah, it was hard, man.
I'm telling you it was hard.
Bernthal, I watched this guy
shaking so much that
when he had a line,
he'd grab one of the guys' hands
to just try and stop shaking.
Bro. Now, why was he shaking?
Was it cold, uncomfortable?
Yeah, it's freezing. We're in a horse
with shit, dirty-ass water.
And standing on top of each other,
they cover us in dirt and shit
before we go into the horse.
Because you have to look like, you've been in the horse.
for days.
Literally were they shit.
Shit.
And. Yes.
So it was, that was one of the worst.
That wasn't just one day.
That was multiple days in that thing.
Terrible.
Terrible.
By the way, Morocco gets very cold.
Oh, that was in Morocco?
Yeah.
What month of the year was that?
I think it was March.
Oh, my God.
What other country?
So we were in Scotland, Morocco.
Iceland.
Iceland.
Greece.
Greece.
Got it.
Yep.
And, um.
I think, and then back here in L.A., right? So five. That's crazy. That's got to be fun.
That was great. I did this great weird chips from around the world. I saw that. Right. So, yeah,
because, like, I hadn't been to Europe that much, you know. Europe is incredible. Oh, Sicily. We're in Sicily, too.
Sicily. Six? Oh, my God. We were in Favignana, which is an island in Sicily and lippery. I didn't know.
Sicily was islands.
I didn't, I thought.
Sicilians are like, it's a different form of Italians.
Yeah, not a lot of pasta in Sicily.
No, it's heavy seafood.
Very.
Tuna is the, Favignon is the tuna capital of Italy, I guess.
So, and I love pasta.
So I thought we were going to get pizza and pasta.
And there's not a lot of it there.
How was the food on set in general?
Great, incredible.
You know, because wherever we were,
you're getting the best.
You were getting some sort of like island flavor, you know.
So in Iceland, they're heavy on the on on on meats there.
Yeah, everywhere we were, Greece is obviously very heavy on certain meats, but like
lamb cheese, beautiful, incredible cheese and Greece.
And we were near Kalamata, which is where the Kalamata, all of originated.
I thought I thought he was.
Yeah, Alex, baby.
What were you going to say?
Kalamari.
No, no.
I feel like calamari probably originated in Greece.
I mean, probably.
I think that's true.
Octopuses and, yeah.
But also the Mediterranean's cold, which I didn't know.
At that time of the year, probably.
I think it's traditionally the colder, not like the Atlantic, but it doesn't match the, it's 110 degrees and the water's like kind of cool and refreshing.
Yeah.
Which is wild.
I didn't know that either. That's wild.
Iceland, the sun didn't go down.
That Iceland is punishing.
That's a punishing place to live.
That is, we were there, I guess, in the summertime,
so the sun didn't go down.
I have video of like we were hitting golf balls into a mountain
because we stayed in Winnebago's.
Because there's no hotels in the places we were.
Yeah.
We were in towns where there were no hotels.
So you just stay in tents,
trailers? We were in trailers. Everybody had like Winnebago. That's so sick. It was so fun.
Now, who's the best golf hitter on set?
Andrew Howard. He's a Welsh guy.
A Welsh. Yeah. He's a real wild man. He lived in Palm Springs a bit. He loves golf. Too much, actually.
But my game's all right if I get a couple of rounds in.
Well, you're hockey guys. All the hockey guys. Yeah. Hockey guys know to square shit up.
Yeah. Any weird rules on set?
I just heard the no ugs rule.
Yeah, well, that's making the waves everywhere nowadays.
No chairs, nougs?
No, no chips.
He said no chips.
He said no chips.
No chips.
How'd you do your chip thing, then?
You just do it off set?
Yeah, I would do it in town.
So you're the bad boy of the set.
Look, you know, no chips.
And so you do it off off.
No rules.
There's no rules, but it's like there's also not a lot of things.
So if he doesn't,
doesn't want chairs on set, there are no chairs on set. So it's like, you find a rock. I have an
incredible picture of Damon asleep on the boat. And he told me, he woke up, or I think I had to
wake him up because they were like ready. And he woke up, this is incredible. Matt's incredible.
He woke up and he was like, oh, man. He like had to get himself together for a second. And he looked
to me, he goes, that's the first time I've ever slept on set in 30 years. He's like, whoa,
that's heady. Like, he meant like actually on the set, physically on the set. He was on the other
end of the boat. It's like another world, right? The boat's huge. But that was the, that was the
wildest thing that happened to me just from like a heady standpoint, because I was watching him
sort of reflect on his entire life to that moment
because he fell asleep on set.
And he was sort of not embarrassed,
but he was just like, it was shocking.
He woke up and he was shocked.
Oh my God.
Because it was so tiring.
Yeah.
It was just, it was a rule, tough environment.
Yes.
And by the way.
And Nolan's probably loving it, isn't it?
He loves that he's tired.
He loves that he's seeing you guys suffer a little
because that is how you capture the people of the old time.
Like Bill would see a fight on fucking the field
and he would sit there and yell at us,
sent us back, but he loved it because it means we were competing.
Yeah.
Yeah, Chris, listen, I don't think he wants people to live uncomfortably,
but I think when you're at work, all bets are off.
And, like, you got to go.
So you call him Chris?
No, I don't call him Chris.
What do you call him when you see him?
I call him boss, but I'm the only one that says that.
Because I used to call Jim Dolan boss.
Yeah.
Just say, hello, boss.
And then keep it moving.
People call him, Chris.
I generally when I just go the opposite direction.
I know exactly how it feels.
You know, no need for me to be hanging around, right?
Without a doubt.
They didn't even get hurt on set?
Someone had to have got hurt.
It's fucking rough.
I look grueling.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We didn't have any major injuries, though?
Oh, there was mostly, I think, sunstroke, honestly.
And sea sickness.
Dremantle?
Did you take any pills?
I got to tell you, I got good sea likes.
Yeah.
I don't know if it's the Canadian maritime in me, you know?
Nova Scotia.
The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
We got a lot of, we don't have,
oceans, but we have a lot of history, boat history.
Although the east coast, we do have oceans, right?
We have islands surrounded by oceans.
Or the west coast.
British Columbia has oceans, too.
You're right, the Pacific.
Pacific.
You're right.
Ocean talk.
Ocean talk.
I was an inland guy, Ontario.
We have Lake Ontario.
But, yeah, sea sickness was real.
Muscoca.
Muscocas are beautiful.
Yeah.
Beautiful lakes.
Beautiful lakes.
I would love to be in a position where I could work,
whenever I want
and then go to Muscoca
a couple times a year.
And then talk about your Muscoca room
all the time.
You know, like everyone in Muscoca
thinks that they invented the screen room.
It's, I'm like,
they're big in Florida.
I mean,
every lake has a screen room.
But they call it a Muskoka room.
Oh, I didn't know that.
You got to come check out our Muskoka room.
But Jules is a California lake guy,
which is also sort of rare.
It's white trash.
Well, I wasn't going to say that.
But East California, white trash.
You guys go to lakes.
We went to lakes growing up.
And are the lakes as nice as our Canadian lakes?
Because we can drink out of it.
Really, glacial.
Have you ever seen Lake Tahoe?
Beautiful Lake.
It's California.
Pretty beautiful lake.
I mean, you know, Lake Tolik, you're in the beautiful plains before you enter up the Sierra Mountains to
Yosemite.
So you see the old gold mining.
country. See little gold mining towns. So why doesn't California promote its lake life more?
It's, I don't know. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's,
yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And all we do is talk about our GDP, so we're good. We'll be right back after

What's up, fam? I'm sports journalist Ari Chambers.
Hey, what's up y'all? It's your girl, Sam Jay.
And we're the host of everyone watches women's sports,
a new podcast from Together and I Heart Women's Sports.
Because let's be real.
Women's sports is giving us way too much to talk about these days.
So Kelsey Finler, she became the first female solo rower to go from California to Hawaii.
My first thought is, like, what's up with the snacks?
Like, what are we eating?
The highlights, the rivalries, the breakout stars, the moments that take over your entire timeline.
And the conversations that start during the game and somehow keep going all week, every week.
We're breaking down the biggest stories across women's sports.
Naomi Osaka showing out.
She beat Sabalinka.
Shout out to you, Naomi.
You get the palm, Naomi.
You get the palm for that.
Because we're not just interested in what happened.
We're interested in why everyone's talking about it.
Because everyone watches women's sports.
Listen to everyone watches women's sports on the IHeart Radio app.
Apple podcast or wherever you get your podcast.
The Board of Tourism does need to look into that.
I'm with John.
They do.
And they should pay you guys.
I mean, you're a California native.
You're banging the California.
Lake Drum. I'm saying Canada desert. But I don't want people to come to our lakes. Oh,
right. Right. Right. Well, we do need the tourism in California back. And by the way,
facts. We are now dad alumni to a certain high school. Our kids are going to the same,
not high school, high school, middle school, big school, lower school. They got so many schools of this
place. Expensive school. It's, it's, it's.
You know, hopefully this is a great thing for their future.
Yeah.
This is what all we look for.
And by the way, I've been around this summer, the school, and I've yet to see you there.
You're, you know, my presence is being known.
I'm chipping in.
I'm, you know, the used used clothing sale or whatever it is.
You go and buy the old uniforms.
We haven't started the school yet.
Well, you know, you just got to get in there.
I don't know where you've been.
I've been working.
Right. Fanatics Fes.
By the way, can I get some of that fanatics money?
What do you?
Like, I'm a Comic-Con guy now.
I am now in a fantasy movie.
Not just a fantasy movie, but maybe the biggest and greatest of all time.
I want some panels.
At least a booth.
I got you a movie job.
Got me a movie job.
He's an agent, too.
So just next time you're on the horn with the fanatics guys, go, hey, what about?
Oh, Aves.
Yeah, yeah.
Let's talk about old age.
It's very rare that you can be a fanatic guy and a Comic-Con guy.
Like, John's a...
The crossovers...
It's pretty impressive.
Unique.
Pretty impressive.
Did Terry Cruz do any...
I don't think so.
Who has?
I guess the question.
Bradshaw, was he in one of the Marvel movies?
OJ.
He was in some movies.
OJ was in some movies.
He predated the cons, though, I think.
Yeah, he did.
They weren't really pop.
The conventions weren't popping.
Right.
I might be in a nice little pocket of my own here now.
I think it is.
Interesting.
Get you a man that can do both.
How is, how is neighborhood watch is good?
Well, you know, my neighbor tried to, uh, there was, I don't know what happened.
An assassination attempt.
We saw.
Or anyways, my neighbor had some issues and.
But we're good.
The neighborhood watches good.
Yeah, yeah, everything's fine.
Everything's fine.
Totally.
Just making sure.
Totally fine.
If he needs an address to send his buddies to next time, you can give my address.
Yeah.
His little friends.
Yeah.
I just kidding.
I saw the picks.
They went, oh, God.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Those two.
He hired hookers for me as a diversion
while the LAPD were hovering above the house
with a helicopter telling him to surrender.
It was incredible move.
Oldest trick in the book.
Oldest trick in the book.
Yeah.
The old scally way.
Yeah.
And I wasn't even there.
Yeah.
You were shooting this movie in Morocco.
No, I was shooting the night agent on Netflix.
No, you were at the high school,
the local high school doing your clothes drive.
Well, I was,
well, yeah, maybe, yeah.
I was putting my volunteer time in at the
do we need volunteer time at the PTA?
Yes, there's expectations when you join a community like that.
They want money.
They want time.
By the way, there's a lot of rumblings about you becoming a dad there.
Like there's football fans, Jules.
You're the only one that it's rare.
It's a big deal.
I was sort of, I'm like the minutia, you know, like the New Yorkers.
And there's a lot of like interesting people that are hockey fans.
You're sort of the mass.
Like everyone's going to know you there.
Right.
This is not good.
Yeah, yeah.
No, this is not good.
A lot of expectations.
Get ready.
A lot of expectations.
By the way, no, you know, you have to carpool there.
Not unless you go before 715.
And we have the bus schedule that picks up right over here.
Buddy.
Somebody's been reading the email.
print.
We got a whole team on this.
Okay, good, good.
You think we're not going to handle this?
You see how we do this podcast?
That's how that school's going to be ready.
Good, good, good.
I can't wait.
A1 and pro.
Good.
Let's go.
I'm ready.
Tight operation.
All right.
Anything else on this Odyssey before we move on
into this, dive into the game?
No, just go see it, I guess would be great.
And like, also, you know, I don't think premium format's incredible, right?
70 millimeter or iMacs but there's only 41 of those i believe in the entire world so if you live
somewhere remote like go see the movie it's still it's an incredible movie it's on the screen you're
just not going to see like my head in the background in the back of the shot i'm okay with that
because it's still great team guy he's a team guy guy that goes down with the ship that kind of guy
yep we saw it in the big that kind of guy goes down with the ship
baby.
Literally went down.
You should have went through the goddamn
pretty good death
though.
The whole.
Yeah.
They should have went the hole.
The whirlpool?
Yeah.
Shout out the other side.
Yeah.
Oh, no, no.
He tried.
He tried to.
We got to get away from that stuff.
We were trying to get home.
Yeah, but you knew.
No, we didn't know.
One guy did.
Well, he didn't tell us.
He couldn't.
Yeah.
Sometimes those leaders got to make the difficult decision.
Sometimes you got to make them believe.
Wow.
I just got goosebumps on that.
Oh, wow.
Well,
okay.
Everyone go check out the Odyssey.
Unbelievable watch.
Oh my God.
It was fucking crazy.
We saw it on the XL screen.
Wasn't the I-HM or 70 millimeter?
And it was spectacular.
And you saw a lot of Sean's face.
So I don't know what he's saying about getting cut out.
I also will say every time Sean, first time especially,
every time Sean like, it was.
like we were in the game, bro.
Nice.
1,000% I mean, as an athlete to see a former athlete, someone that just so happens to be a friend
on the big screen in an unbelievable movie that's been hyped around the world for the last
year and a half.
I mean, this is the biggest hype movie since probably Maverick, you know, as a going
to the movie theater movie.
Eventized, maybe.
To see him in that,
like you get proud.
Amen.
You get proud.
It was an awesome movie
and it hit all expectations.
It really was.
We also bought out
the entire concession stand there.
Yeah,
we bought the whole entire.
Did you get the horse?
We didn't get the horse.
We didn't get the horse.
The lady said they were flying
off the shelves.
They are, yeah.
God,
did you have one?
I got Nash.
I got Nashville.
I didn't get the horse
because we went to the pop mart
and I already had like three little
Laboos.
so it would have been a hard
with the movie theater bucket
I would have had so many things at the chair
it would have took my experience of the movie
we should have put the lower level inside the horse
who are the loboos for?
Lil yeah they're big now right
they're off the squishies into the lububes
both both both I just mix it up
yeah when anytime I go to another city
or if I haven't you know she's
she's currently not with me
I'll go, I'll go grab her a Lubu.
Well, yeah.
She's in Hawaii.
She's in Hawaii.
Ha ha.
Tough to be a kid these days, eh?
I never went to.
I've only been to Hawaii once and that was with her.
I've never been there.
Yeah.
It's a, but you got to go.
Beautiful, yeah.
Nothing like the Hawaiian culture.
Yeah.
You know, the Hawaiian culture is unbelievable, great food.
It is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Great jih Tzu out there too.
Huh?
Very good jiu jiu jitsu in Hawaii.
Oh.
Max Holloway.
Max Holloway.
Yeah.
Did you go to the lighthouse card?
I didn't.
No.
I didn't.
Did you go, Sean?
No, no.
But the fight was incredible.
I've been some sick ones lately.
Yeah.
This is funny.
I forgot you do this.
Let's go back into time around when the game took place.
This game took place January 6th, 2010.
Number one movie, Avatar.
Wow.
That was a huge movie.
The first one.
Oh, yeah.
I believe the highest grossy movie of all time.
I think it just got beat, didn't it, by something recently?
Well, they say gone with the win, but that doesn't count because it's like 100 years old.
Yeah, because this was, this was 2.94 billion.
Well, that's a lot.
Non-Marvel movie, it's got to be, it's got to be number one.
Yeah, Blindside, Sherlock Holmes, up in the air, we're all in the box office.
Number one song, TikTok by Keisha.
Oh, wow.
Good one.
The very first line of that song probably does.
doesn't stand anymore.
How do you know?
I wouldn't even know that.
Because we listen to the song.
I have a nine-year-old daughter
and she likes the song.
Oh.
And the first line of the song is like
something about Diddy or something.
Oh, yeah.
Wake up in the morning feeling like Pea Diddy.
Oh, whoa.
Yeah, you can't use that one.
Whoa.
Super Bowl champions were the New Orleans Saints.
That was huge.
Peyton Manning MVP.
Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup.
And the Hart Memorial
was Henrik Cerdin.
Sidine.
Sedean.
Swedish.
I had a twin brother.
Swedish.
Yeah.
Blake Griffin, I saw him at Toy Story 5.
Big guy.
This was all their rookie year.
Oh, he was just there seeing you too?
Yeah.
Oh, hell yeah.
I mean, he's 610.
Yeah.
He's a huge guy.
Big guy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He won the dunk contest.
He was a star.
Really?
Jumped over a Kia.
Yeah, jumped over the Kia.
Now he's acting and doing comedy.
Yep.
He's good at the comic.
He's got some...
Yeah, he's got some timing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Really good timing.
Yeah.
What were you like in 2010?
2010.
Oh, the height of my madness on the ice pretty much.
I mean, yeah.
I was moving too fast.
I don't know.
But it all worked out, really, I guess.
I laughed at the other day.
I was like, I think at some point maybe I'll be known more as an actor
than a hockey player, which is hilarious.
You think?
Well, I'm pretty young.
I mean, I only did this for like 12 years.
Yeah.
So eventually, I don't know.
I don't know.
That'd be awesome, though.
That'd be fun.
Yeah.
I mean, people probably are already saying that.
By the way, you're probably going to host, they should, you should do late night.
Now we're talking.
Absolutely.
I like podcasts.
Well, it's the same thing, but network dollars are big, big, big money.
Yeah.
Soundstage, little applause sign.
Lot lizard.
Yes.
But as you, in the acting world, what's a movie, a sports movie that you would love to create and be the lead actor of?
Oh my God.
Sports movie.
You've never thought of this?
Where's the...
I mean, it would be interesting to show Messier, the Rangers' first game after 9-11.
Oh.
When he came out on the ice and he wore a...
the fire chief helmet.
The place went nuts.
Like,
Yankees were in the playoffs at that point.
Yeah,
that would have been an interesting,
just the lead-up of like two days
and how a captain
kind of controls that environment
would be sort of cool to watch.
Yeah.
Not make it political,
just like what's going on
outside the world or a mile away from here.
And then we're,
oh, yeah, yeah.
That is tough.
I mean, look at those,
look at masks,
those eyes.
That was a big night.
Yeah.
You know, that wasn't just any other team.
That was the Rangers in New York.
In New York.
And really is like a chilling photo.
My gosh.
Yeah.
What a sight.
Yeah.
It's so crazy that like our kids don't even know about 2.
Like Y2K.
Y2K.
They don't know about 9-11.
They don't know about the Reebok.
Preseasons.
Hexaglide.
Texaglite.
They have no clue.
No.
Actually, they do because now all the kids are wearing chunky shoes.
from the 90s and they dress like Adam Sandler's.
Yeah. I know.
It's crazy.
I know. Speaking of Sandler, you got any good, Happy Gilmore, Two Stories?
They had a bar on set.
Hell yeah.
First time I've seen that.
By the way, I didn't even,
the Sandman didn't work that day.
So I didn't see him.
The next day,
I get a text message from him. Hey,
sorry, I wasn't around.
I heard you guys did great.
Thanks so much for coming.
That's a wild thing to get.
Is he one of the nicest human beings you've ever met?
Just an ultimate pro, high level.
Pro, but like great man.
Yeah.
You could just tell.
Like a captain, but also the director and just like one of the G's.
One of the big, that gets it.
Gets it.
Looks out for his boys.
Yep.
Always polite.
Yep.
He's just a good dude.
Yeah, bar on set.
Love that.
Why not?
That says it all right there.
Why not?
Let it rip.
I mean, that's going to capture the environment that he probably wanted on there.
For that type of movie, yeah.
All day.
Exactly.
Yep.
Jackie, let's jump into this game.
Let's get into these stars real quick.
Sean was also dead on with his avatar.
It is the number one gross movie of all time.
Just had to clear that one up.
Sean knows ball.
Let's get into these stars here real quick.
37, 31, 14.
Mark Crawford in there.
A little bit of a new era there down in Dallas.
Yeah.
moved on from the whole Jackson combo with GM coach.
I mean, not a very, not a, not a,
not a stars team to really write home about,
not one for the ages.
Last year, Marty Turco and goal,
Mike Madonna's final year down there in Dallas too,
didn't make the playoffs.
Brad Richards had a good season, 91 points.
Not the,
not the greatest stars team of all time.
No, they had, I mean,
that was sort of the basis for part of their run.
They had won with, you know,
Hully was now the GM, which this is what's, you know, crazy is I lived with Brett in Detroit.
He becomes the co-GM in Dallas. He signs me. I last whatever it was, six weeks or eight weeks.
I make the sloppy seconds comment. They run me out of town. The team sends me, well, the league suspends me for six games.
then they send me to anger management in Malibu to a rehab facility.
All right.
Why don't we just make a movie about you?
This is all culminating to this game.
So like I'm a Dallas star.
I left New York.
I signed as a free agent Dallas.
The whole thing blows up.
And now I'm back in New York, okay, waiting.
I've done my suspension.
I did 30 days in the anger management facility,
which was, you know, not a place that I should have been,
but it was in Malibu, and it was a whole wild story who was there and a lot of characters.
Who was there?
Some really interesting people.
Any one we know?
Yeah, but I don't want to, I don't think I've ever said it.
He's one of the greatest, he's won, I think, more Grammys and Academy Awards than anyone in the history of the world.
High level guy.
super cool dude we used to listen to baseball games on like a radio i was there for 30 days come back to new york
and now i'm waiting because everyone knows that the only place i'm going is to the rangers
but dallas has to trade me why would new york trade for me so they want to play me off waivers
because then here's the kicker they only have to pay half my salary and for the entirety of the
contract, Dallas has to pay the other half.
So this is what makes it interesting.
So you're double dipping.
I'm getting paid by two teams and that was essentially what I say at the,
when they interview me after I play one of my best games statistically of all time.
Yeah.
So set the deck.
Is that good?
That was a good deck setting.
That was a good lead up.
But who were your boys on the Dallas Star team that like you're playing against?
Brad Richards, all right.
Me and Richie were tight.
Steve Ott, who's one of the greatest trash talkers,
certainly in my era of the game,
we played together on a line in Boston one night
that there's been reports.
The timekeeper wrote a letter to the league and said,
in his 40 years in the league,
he has never heard such vile and awful things
come out of the penalty box.
because me and Otter were on one that night in Boston.
You can go back and watch the game tape.
It was really wild.
So me and Otter were tight.
Ribeiro was a beauty.
He was a real beauty, boy, oh boy.
Me and Robeda didn't like each other.
Me and Madonna didn't like each other.
Me and Brendan Morrow didn't like each other.
Me and Marty Turco didn't like each other.
Me and Chris Barch didn't like each other.
I liked Trevor Daly because we were both Toronto kids.
I had a lot of, I got signed by my former teammate and friend.
So there was sort of this thing with all the guys.
It was the worst situation I could have ever possibly been in.
And I didn't like Texas at that point.
Now I understand the importance of Texas.
But I was like, oh, Texas and, you know, like a bunch of fucking hillbillies down here.
What am I doing?
It didn't work.
It didn't work.
Let's jump into it.
Let's just jump into the Rangers here real quick.
We're back in New York here.
Sean comes back home.
This was a Rangers team that win 38, 33 and 11.
Similar record to that Dallas Stars team.
We got Tororella as the coach there.
I mean, this was Sean's coming back full season.
As we mentioned earlier, 2009 brought him back after Dallas, let him go there.
Coming off a first round playoff exit in 09.
This was, this was Tororell's first year too, right?
Yeah.
This season was okay.
How was Tororella?
he's the worst.
That's what I've heard.
He's the worst.
He's, you know, listen,
whatever.
Here's how I say about John Tortorella.
I couldn't pass to him in practice.
Like, he can't skate and take a pass at the same time.
So I'm very biased and sticky in my rules that I like my coaches to have played.
All right.
Now, if age is like,
Scotty Bowman, he came on the ice with the old skates.
And he was just older and awesome and had won 12 Stanley Cups or some crazy number.
So I didn't try and pass with Scotty.
I didn't need to test his, you know, whether he was legit or not.
Torts is a joke.
He's a joke.
I love it.
But by the way, team leaders, I will say my stats are pro-rated because I only played,
I believe, the last quarter of the season.
I don't think I played a lot of games that year.
Yeah, let me double check on what the exact number was.
Because I was sitting in New York, like, and then I was in Malibu, and I had a six-game suspension, the whole thing.
Crazy, right?
The stuff that gets said nowadays because of social media and I, you know, it was a terrible thing to say.
But, like, in the perspective of everything, they really, they threw the book at me.
Could you say that nowadays?
Yeah, you could say that nowadays.
Could you?
I mean, if you watch,
yeah, Ocho Cinco said
way worse shit.
Oh, he and Shannon Sharp say the craziest stuff.
Yeah, like they, like,
what's said on, on, I guess not
under a team banner.
That's what I'm talking about.
Could you say it?
Could you say it nowadays?
Well, you can get caught with guns and like, you know.
You're getting suspended though.
Right.
But from words, I don't know.
By the way, I'm not the word police.
Okay.
I'm not, it was a, it was a stupid thing to say.
It was stupid.
It was a dumb thing to say and I shouldn't have said it.
But I was trying to blow everything up because I had to get the fuck out of there.
So you did that intentionally to get kicked out.
I think that I've always been good at willing things to happen and planting seeds and just trying to grind it into existence.
And that was a case where I was like, I can't fucking do this anymore.
So you knew you were getting suspended for saying sloppy seconds.
and then get dropped and then get to join the New York Rangers.
I knew right afterwards when I said it where the story was going to end.
I just knew there were going to be some landmines in between.
Like they tried to void my entire contract.
Jeez.
So the union, there was a fight between that.
Like there was a constitutional fight based on because our deals are guaranteed, right?
So that was a big marker.
If they got that through, that would set the precedent for the future.
So they didn't.
Thank goodness.
We'll be right back after this quick break.
You've heard the chaos.

Hey, what's up, y'all? It's your girl, Sam J.
And we're the host of everyone watches women's sports, a new podcast from Together and I Heart Women's Sports.
Because let's be real. Women's sports is giving us way too much to talk about these days.
So Kelsey Finler, she became the first female solo rower to go from California to Hawaii.
My first thought is, like, what's up with the snacks? Like, what are we eating?
The highlights, the rivalries, the breakout stars, the moments to take over your entire timeline.
And the conversations that start during the game and somehow keep going all week.
Every week, we're breaking down the biggest stories across women's sports.

You know, this is the second time
we've had constitutional talks
with Sean Avery. The last time
was a rule implication, I believe.
The behavior rule. Again, another, yeah.
Yeah. I mean, you just,
you're a constitution type guy, aren't you?
I'm very finicky, you know.
I like to stand my ground on certain things.
So, yeah.
So you get back to the Rangers,
and what do the boys say when you enter the locker room?
well, there are some beauties on that team.
Okay.
Who are the guys on the squad?
By the way,
Oliyokinen has a clip.
He now coaches in Finland.
He gives a pump up speech before a game that will,
if you ever want to talk about a guy that could become an actor,
this guy's a Finnish guy.
He's one of the scariest dudes ever.
But wasn't a hard player.
Didn't play hard.
You know,
like he didn't fight.
He played hard,
but didn't fight.
obviously Lungwist, long time relationship.
Gabrik, me and Gabby were cool.
I saw him at Fanatics Fest, Lumpfuss.
Yeah, pulled up in the suit.
Yeah, it looks good.
Guys always in the suit.
Always tight.
Brian Boyle, I only didn't like one guy on that team, which was Donald Bershear.
I had no.
He was kind of, to me, he was a fake tough guy.
He wasn't everything that he represented.
I just never liked him.
I never liked him.
But other than that, good team.
Like pretty solid team.
They fired the old coach Tom Rennie, who I had a great relationship with.
And I remember Glenn Sather, our GM, when they brought me off waivers and they were saying, like, how's Avery and Tortorella going to get along?
And Slats, Glenn Sather said, John will learn to love them just like the rest of us.
So that was kind of fun.
All time quote.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah. All right. Let's get into the game, Jackie.
All right. Let's do. Wait, speaking of Armani real quick, John, you were wearing Armani the other night at the premiere?
I was. You looked pretty good. Really good. Insanely good.
I took some heat. People thought my pants were a little billowy, like P.K. Suban-esque.
They were nowhere near that. No. But they were also, it's a perforated suit. It's like it was 100 degrees in New York.
The suit is meant to be like a little bit loose and flowing. So thank you. Yeah, summer suit.
I hate to be gauche, but can I get an ID on the glasses?
I like the red lens.
Garrett Light.
And by the way, yeah, I have a promo code for those because everybody's been asking me so much.
And Garrett's my buddy.
Good lengths.
Really good.
I mean, it looked good.
Yeah.
Did P.K. say anything or comment?
He never, he never, he's, he's in Sicily.
He's on like a boat.
He's been on a boat for weeks.
Now, I recently, this just came up to my mind.
you recently did busing with the boys.
You did?
You did.
Chittles.
Spitting chichlits.
Yeah, yeah.
Recently did spit and chichlits.
Yeah.
Did you talk about the pointer stick?
And how?
We didn't.
But that's a whole other thing, right?
Didn't what's his name?
Freaking steal the pointer stick on.
Biz.
Biz tried one time too.
No.
P.K. did take it.
And then what I think happened.
This is why Mark Massey.
is such a high level G.
I think MESS said to PK,
listen,
obviously he didn't invent the idea of it in theory,
but if we're going to use the hockey stick on the board
during ESPN games in the NHL playoffs,
I, for one,
I'm going to make an announcement.
So anytime MESS would go to the pointer,
he'd go, all right, I'm going to the Avery pointer stick,
which is just like so high level.
It's respect.
You know, I love it.
P.K. Not as respectful.
Did he plagiarized?
No, no. But me and P.K. I have an understanding.
You guys haven't understood.
And I would love to do the panel with them at some point.
I think it would be fun.
I think so, too.
You would be great on it.
I don't think Gary Bettman wants me on it for some reason.
He's still holding a grudge.
Why?
I don't know. I don't know.
You just said, did you agitate him a little too much?
I may need you to broker a truce.
Is it?
I like this.
We'll go over.
for Seder.
Shabbat. Shabbat. Same thing.
Right? Yeah, we could do that.
Break a little bread. Shabbas.
That'll do it. Anyways. Anyways.
Is that what we were talking about?
That's what we were talking about. Yeah.
Yeah. All right. We'll get into this game.
Quick lead up. The big story here, as we mentioned earlier,
this is Sean's first meeting against his old team since I released him in 2009.
And we got to go back to February of 2009, the season before this.
Dallas beat the Rangers 10 to 2.
crazy.
Crazy.
I'm not 10 on them.
Back in February of 2009.
That was a year before this game pretty much.
I was obviously in that game.
Yeah, it's crazy one.
We took a 10-2 shalaki.
I believe so.
I'll double check that, but it's crazy.
That is not good.
I think it was the most schools of the Rangers
let up in the game.
I'd say.
No, New York entered hot on this one too.
Went eight of their last nine, so on a good little roll.
Yeah.
But this is your first game back.
No, my first game back against Dallas,
but probably only my.
my, I don't think I had played many games back since they had reclaimed me off waivers.
Did you circle this game immediately once you got there?
I think everybody did, yeah.
Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Now, the guy who was talking shit, you said could talk shit, what was Otto?
Otter, Steve Ott.
Did you guys have a little, little shindig together during this game?
No, somebody else was chasing me around all night.
Let me see, was that.
Somebody was up my ass all night.
one of the guys that didn't like me.
No, because me and Otter,
we had fought so many times
prior to me signing with Dallas,
like probably five or six times.
So we now had a truce.
We weren't going to break that bond that we had.
And I'm like a big fan of him now.
He's still coaching.
I think he should get a head coaching job
in the NHL at some point.
I love Steve Ott.
He's an animal.
He is an animal.
Yeah.
He has no off button.
He said bad things to people.
Bad, bad things.
He'd get people fucking cross-eyed otter.
Yeah.
We're allowed to do it though.
You guys aren't allowed.
That's the difference.
Like, you have to kind of keep it low, right?
Yeah, you can't go crazy in front of a ref.
Yeah.
It was never like as crazy as what you guys said.
Yeah.
Like even like it would be like little shit.
Yeah.
But there were, I think.
I think I was on the tail end.
Like I was at this time of your career.
Right.
Early in your career,
it was probably,
you know,
2000,
it was probably even more,
2001,
right?
Oh,
yeah.
Like that time in the league,
it was probably more.
Yeah,
yeah.
It just kind of has softened up.
Yeah.
The newer it's got.
Yeah,
of course.
Of course.
Everyone's buddies.
But everything reverses itself back.
Like,
take the Odyssey as an example.
Huh?
Well,
where you have a big movie
that's like about war and men and savagery.
But ironically, like,
they're trying to get home to their women,
their loves and their children.
Like, it's all this, like,
sterile bullshit that we've been dealing with for a long time.
I think that's out the window.
Didn't, weren't you telling me the CIA
was talking to Nolan about this?
No, I did not say that.
No, but I, no, I did not.
say that at all. You said the CIA
needed to get people tougher so they made
this movie? No fucking way.
You told me that. I said maybe that
was a theory that I read online.
But I'm not that deep in the
You are that deep. Wormholes.
Although you told me about this.
By the way, I was telling you about it.
It wasn't, I didn't make the theory up.
Okay, I had read that somewhere.
All right. Just making sure. Somebody told me that
and we have spirited conversations.
Spirited. I love a good spirit.
There's some stuff off the walls sometimes, right?
I like that. It's a safe space normally.
You don't fucking blow me up on the podcast.
What are you talking about? CIA, Nolan?
You guys theorizing.
It's just too. This is a theorization.
You know, Ben Affleck was married to Jennifer Garner and she was on the show,
alias.
Now, I would say if there was ever sort of some high level, not relationships, but whatever.
Anyways, I love Ben Affleck and he was at the premiere.
and after party, and I couldn't find him
because I wanted to say hi to him.
Damn. And I heard he's really tall.
I think he is.
Yeah, he's a big fan of you.
Not as much. Me and him got a little beef.
Oh, really?
I'm a Casey Afflead guy.
Oh, you split it like that?
I like Casey. Casey's my dad.
Manchester by the sea?
We might need Sean to broker a little...
Manchester. I love Casey.
I like Ben too, but he used to go reckless
on his little promotions.
about the Patriots and how they didn't have receivers and this and that.
Oh, wow.
Whoa, whoa.
I didn't know.
That's fired.
So he didn't like the receiving court, but the Patriots during the Haysay Day?
I just so happened to be on a few of those receiving cores.
Right.
He didn't like Randy Moss?
Well, that was after.
Oh.
It was after.
Oh, interesting.
After.
Huh.
Back to the game, Jack.
Get into the game.
Let's get into this Brad Richard's goal to kick things off.
Dallas got up 1-0-0-0-217.
2-17.
an early girl, but a minute 46 later on the left side slap shot, Sean ties this thing up.
Oh, wow.
How good did that feel?
How good that.
First period goal always feels great.
Right off the power play goal too.
First goal in 19 games.
Was it?
Yeah.
Oh, no.
Feeling really good.
I went that long without a goal.
I think so.
It was like a top shelf left left left on the power play on the power play.
You're lefty?
Yeah.
Because you hit that thing.
Let's see it.
Do we get to see it?
Yeah.
Oh, you don't need to.
I remember it.
him down the left side. Yeah. And he gave it over to you and you went, wow. Yeah.
Full slapper. Nice. Okay. So I tie it up early. Great. Had to feel good. Nice. Yeah. Had to feel good. And then in the end of the
first period. Add another one. Sean assists on this one. Gabby gets that one in there, baby.
Okay. Interesting. That's an even strength goal. Yep. Go up to one. And then early in the second.
What did you just say? Even strength. So we were non-power play. Yeah, five on five.
11 on 11. 11. 11. Then we get into the second period. Big note.
you're in the second period.
Sean gets a 10 minute misconduct.
A little bumping action on this finish guy.
You got to help me with the name.
I'm going to butcher it, Sean.
Oh, Uri.
Uri Lettin?
Lettnan, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, interesting.
Yeah, do you remember that one?
No, I don't.
And then they letton scores.
Yes.
Wow.
So a bad little double whamie.
And then Cotelik puts us up 3-2 and I get an assist.
Yep.
That's a hell of a start there.
I mean, we've got a war win.
When you get put in the penalty box,
what's it like in the penalty box?
What are you doing?
What are you thinking about?
What are you saying?
Are you talking to fans?
Are you just, is it like jail?
What is it?
Generally.
Like this one right here, are you talking shit to the fans?
No, no, we were at home.
Home?
No, no.
So the fans are probably like,
you ever get a beer or anything from a fan?
No, but I once, by accident,
threw a water bottle into our home crowd in New York
because it slipped.
I was trying to smash it.
I was so mad.
I wanted to smash it against the glass and break it inside the box.
And it slipped out of my hand.
And I watched this thing go like 30, just sail 30 rows up into the stands.
Somebody got a sick souvenir.
But no, you don't, in the penalty box, you're saying there's this famous slap shot, Paul Newman movie, great hockey movie.
And they say you go to the penalty box.
You serve your two minutes.
You feel ashamed.
You do.
You really do feel ashamed.
and you just don't want your team to get scored on.
But this was a 10 minute one.
Right.
So I wasn't hurting the team from a man advantage standpoint.
I'm just like, I got to sit there for 10 minutes.
It's really, it's embarrassing.
It's like the dunce cap for 10 minutes.
But the whole entire arena can see that you're there waiting.
And you've had a lot of time in this box.
I have.
And by the way, that means I played less minutes this night.
Like if I was, I would have.
had four shifts in that 10 minutes and added four minutes to my playing time.
Could have potentially got another point, you know?
Stupid.
I was,
I was always backwards.
I was doing it the wrong way.
It was a fifth.
Now you're doing it the right way.
Thank God.
Thank God it worked out.
By the way,
my last assist was probably one of my nicer assists that I've ever had in the league.
Explain it.
Let's hear it beat for beat.
It was like a double tight turn.
It was a tight turn inside the,
the blue line and then I took a wide, made another tight turn, and then through a hard, hard
pass to Chris Drury, my arch nemesis now, who was going back door. He's the GM of the team now.
It was just a, it was a high level play skill-wise. It was a high, high-skilled play.
Not that I didn't do it often. Well, no, I could do it. I just didn't do it. I just didn't do
it that often because I was usually like more focused with.
Agitating? Yeah, trying to fucking fight and do all stupid shit.
You know? So yeah, that was a hell of an assist.
That was insane. The second, the first one was nice too. Like a little,
backhand in the corner was sick. I mean, I thought you just kind of threw it in there.
You were on fire all night. You knew who was going there? Yeah, these were all planned plays.
By the way, first star. That's nice. That's always fun. They do three stars of the games in hockey.
So then after the game, you skate out onto the ice and you wave to the fans.
It's like an MVP.
Oh, yeah.
But we have them every game.
You have MVP's of the game?
No.
Game ball.
Maybe on game ball.
It's like a game ball.
That's more like in the locker room.
That's for social media.
What?
The game ball now.
Well, you don't even see, you didn't even see who got it back then.
Back when I was playing.
Right.
And it would be, it would be announced on at Wednesday meeting.
The next, oh, oh, days later.
Yes.
And it kept...
Because the coaches had to watch the film.
Oh, they wouldn't announce it to you guys.
No.
And then would the media find out right away?
No.
The media never really found out.
Now, the media does their player of the game,
which is different,
but that's by the broadcast.
Right.
So I...
We didn't have like a thing like a one, two, three star,
which is awesome.
I think it's cool.
That is so sick.
Yeah.
Another one of the great hockey traditions.
How many one stars do you have?
You know, there's no website for that.
but I was either a no star or one star kind of guy, you know?
There's no.
I wasn't like, I was either like, oh, he had a great game or, oh, God, what did he do?
Kind of thing.
That was usually the scale that I operated on.
Hell yeah.
This one, this revenge night ended 5'2 after Brian Callahan, empty netter.
New York gets the win, moves on.
Get some good redemption, baby.
And I had the best moment afterwards.
What was it?
Oh, Marty Turko said that after the game.
Yeah, what I would have loved to see that delinquent do that for us last year.
Wow.
Wow.
See, what I said was they go, Sean, what got into you tonight?
And I said, I mean, obviously I was getting paid by both teams.
Baller line.
Baller line.
And then I think that that was kind of it, really.
Did we get a constitution note from that?
No, that was okay.
We're good?
That was okay.
And we didn't make the playoffs that year.
We did lose in a shootout to Philly on the final day of the season.
And Oliyokinen, funny enough, was one of the shooters in the shootout.
And he just didn't have a very good move.
Yeah.
God.
And our coach was an asshole.
And he like, he wouldn't play me, played me less.
the better I played, the less he would play me.
Like this is the type of guy he was.
He was a fucking steak.
And he couldn't pass while he skate.
Couldn't pass when he skates.
Still.
Still.
Still coaching?
Little Johnny?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Little John took,
the Vegas Golden Knights fired their coach with eight seasons left,
games left in the season,
hired Tortorella,
and he took them to the Stanley Cup finals,
and they lost.
And then they didn't bring them back.
what does that tell you?
Because he can't skate and pass.
Well,
tells he took the team to the Stanley Cup finals
and then didn't get brought back.
Interesting.
It means the fucking players were like,
yeah,
we're good with this guy.
Man.
Some things don't change.
Some things.
Some things don't change.
Now,
as soon as you get in the locker room,
are the boys going crazy with you?
Because they know the fucking magnitude
of this game for you,
specifically and how everything's been hyped up to this point?
Honestly, I would have been out of there so fast and dressed and gone doing something.
Like, I never made it about me in that sense.
Yeah.
They were probably like, where did he go?
And I was already downtown.
You were already in West Village at a little jazz bar having a drink.
Yeah.
Well, we had our own bar in Tribeca at that point.
So I was probably at Warren 77.
There you go.
Did you live in the city?
I did, yeah.
Where?
Brandon Worcester.
Great.
Great.
It's downtown.
We'll be right back after this quick break.

So Kelsey Finler, she became the first female.
female solo rower to go from California to Hawaii.
My first thought is like, what's up with the snacks?
Like, what are we eating?
The highlights, the rivalries, the breakout stars,
the moments to take over your entire timeline.
And the conversations that start during the game
and somehow keep going all week.
Every week, we're breaking down the biggest stories
across women's sports.
Naomi Osaka showing out, she beat Sabalinka.
Shout-outs to you, Naomi.
You get the palm, Naomi.
You get the palm for that.
Because we're not just interested in what happened.
We're interested in why everyone's talking about it.
Because everyone watches women's sports.

I lived across.
I lived in a mooster for a little bit.
Worcester in between Houston and the, what's the one Southmore?
Room.
Wait.
I lived there for like.
No, I would stay at a place there.
When you're in town.
When I was in town.
But then I lived on Mercer.
Street for eight month, 10 months.
What are you having?
No, first time doing TV in New York.
After you played?
After I played.
Wow.
It was awesome.
Wow.
You know, I used to see Tom around like in the West Village like when like I think I saw him
the day that that picture came out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Did you say anything to him?
No, no, no.
You didn't give him like the little chirp like you did to me when I walked up the street.
What did I say?
I don't, you quit working out or something, dude?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I go, oh, man, no, you look great.
I don't know.
Did you work out this morning, by the way?
No, I didn't.
When do you work out?
Work out after this.
Oh, you do?
Afternoon workout guy.
No, it depends on if we have a shot or shoot or not.
If I don't have to shoot, I'll go in the morning.
Right.
Or I walk like two hours a day at least.
Right.
Can I tell everybody that I heard you're,
they passed a rule at Sondon.
soccer. What?
Parents aren't allowed to be vocal at soccer anymore because you were maybe a little too
vocal. What are you talking about? No, I never heard this. Who said this? Do you not have a rule?
What did an email go out to the parents of Lily's team saying, hey, too much sideline chatter,
keep it down. Wasn't for me. I don't even sit on the sideline. Well, where do you sit?
I go, I'm tucked away in an area by myself. I've heard that.
that you're very, there's an audible.
And it's you.
Sometimes it depends.
And it's,
but not on other kids.
You just want Lily to move her feet.
Hey,
we got to move our feet.
Get busy.
We got to get busy.
Effort and attitude.
We got effort and attitude is the only thing
that's not negotiable.
Yeah.
She's great.
I love her,
by the way.
She's a great kid.
She is.
She loves little Nash.
Sean's not the only guy
on the couch with a rule.
name after him. No.
No, no. Get out of here.
Just admit it. I don't
I don't know what you're talking about. He'll go down with the ship.
I don't know what you're talking about. Let's name the game
and score the game.
All right, is this the greatest game of all time?
Let's score. Decimals encouraged.
These are the names that we came up with
Aves or if you have a specific
name that you have in your brain that
is so artistic.
We'll go with that. We came up with the
Avery Revenge game.
We came up with the four point game.
Revenge in the garden or one of my favorites, the sloppy seconds game.
I think you have to go with the sloppy seconds game.
That's an all-timer.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's score it.
Stakes zero to 10 decimals encouraged.
The stakes of this regular season game,
but your revenge game against your former team that put you on waivers.
The stakes were not that high for anyone outside of me, you know?
Integrity type guy.
Yep.
So whatever that means.
Is that a high score?
you're the score.
Yeah, if I'm taking it from a personal position,
it was a 10.
Yep.
It's a 10.
Yep.
For me, I'm going to go with probably,
how many more games are left
into this point in the season?
Quite a bit.
We're in January here.
Oh, January.
We got to wait.
6.5.
Okay.
6.5.
Went with a 6.7.
Same page.
The star power of this game.
It had a little bit of juice to it.
I'll give it a 7-8.
I like that.
I like that.
You know?
I'll go with the 7.8 as well.
Well, we'll see what I had here.
7.1.
Hey, look at us.
We're all there.
Nice.
The gameplay of this game.
Zero to 10 decimured.
Did it have a 4 point game.
But back and forth, some ties.
8.4.
8.4.
Yeah.
I'm going to go with the 8.3.
Shout out West Welker.
Here it is.
7.2.
A little low, but all right.
Not like.
Okay.
The name of the game.
This is where it could make up its points.
Sloppy seconds game.
I mean, that is the name of this game.
Yeah, it is.
And that is quite the name.
So I guess I go 8-8 on that.
Like that.
Got out, Michael Irvin.
I'm going to go with a 9.0.
Oh, yeah, maybe.
It's a great, we all know this game.
Oh, all time.
8.1.
A little low for me, but I guess I'll keep it.
What's the score?
Leah, let's calculate here.
7.98.
It's kind of high for a regular season.
season game. Really? That's pretty nice and high.
I like it. But there was a lot of shit
around this. Look, look who
it's in front of. I know. You're right by
the Veritec-A-Rod fight game.
Remember that? Yeah. Red Sox.
Yeah. You're right under
an AFC championship game.
I mean, this had a lot of juice to it.
Like, it was definitely a sports center.
You're on the first page. Yeah.
We've done 200, go to the
other pages. Let's see. Yeah, they
tried to kick me out of the league.
And, like, Dallas was very Hicks, the owner of the team, who ironically had the team taken away from him because he wasn't all that he preached.
He was a Bible thumper.
It was like the end of the world.
Like, they wanted me erased, gone.
They sent me home in Calgary.
Before I even had got back to the hotel, Holly called me.
He's like, we're getting you a flight to New York.
Just go home.
It wasn't even like stay with the team.
No, go to New York.
So it was, yeah, it was bad.
Oh.
Not to mention the girl I was referencing was a big star.
Yep.
She is a star.
And the boyfriend of her was a big star on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
That was the origin of the whole thing, you know?
So, yeah, yeah.
Anyways.
All right, good score.
That was really good score.
I think we did a good job.
I think we did a great job.
That's an episode.
Great.
All right.
Sean, we miss anything from this game.
No.
Everyone go see the Odyssey.
Yeah. In any format.
In any format. Right.
I saw it in HL or XL, XL, XL, X, L.
X.L.
You know what? I want to see you go see it in 4DX.
Oh, my God.
Have you seen the videos?
I've seen the videos.
40X.
Like the seats shake, like water sprays at you.
Oh, wow.
Wind. Where?
Apparently there's a scent.
They, they're scenting it now.
So it's like an ocean scent.
and people are really into the scent.
Wow.
They're at AMCs.
I think that's an AMC thing.
Wait, is there one in here?
There's one somewhere.
I can't remember where.
Oh, yeah, there's a couple.
They used to have that experience
at the NFL thing.
Remember they did that?
Oh, yeah, where it's like you're in the,
you're in like the play and they have like the wind and like the.
Yeah.
Right.
I can't wish for the scent during the Trojan horse scene.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Thanks, bro.
Appreciate you coming on.
Man.

I like that.
I like that.
