If you're, I mean, if you've been listening to the pod, I mean, you already know. I've been talking about it for a while. kind of under my breath but uh yeah it's cool i appreciate all the love uh all the comments um when you see that warped tour in long beach and uh it was it was sick it was awesome and uh yeah the the um like the hiatus was never meant to be public it was never i'm not gonna go too

far into it but it was never meant to be like oh yeah i'm gonna announce it and It's more like, hey, give me like six months. You need to step away from the world. It's been a long time, over 20 years of suicide silence every single day. But given that we confirmed that slaughtered to be a bail tour and it was kind of unfair and kind of unhonest not to address it. So that's why it was public. It wasn't meant to be, I wanted to be private. But it was short.

It was like six, seven months. months so it was nothing and that flew by because we were doing this we're already we're still heavily involved with uh music and then we did that warp tour just you know and then we announced no actually prior to the warp tour we announced those uh those dates with a mirror so we have a we haven't done a headliner in a long time i don't even know it's always been like uh like a co you know I'm talking like behind the curtain here. It's always like this co-headliner, which basically means you split the money down the middle.

You do these weird flyers. And then they say that you're building your numbers, which actually isn't, ends up not being true. But it's cool. It's cool to do a headliner. We're going out with a mirror, Angel Maker,

which has been killing it. I just keep seeing their name constantly. And I apologize. apologize in advance to to Byron but SNestia they will be opening up the tour and it's a I mean this lineup

this lineup is wet so yeah get your tickets will be all throughout November and December all over the United States of America is proud proud we're opening up in Riverside

due to hometown show November 6th at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium. It's a proper, like a proper headline hometown show. Like it is the hometown. Riverside, Corona, California. So yeah, I'll put the ticket link in the description below. If you're interested, I'll be around.

I'm planning to just hang as much as humanly possible at these shows. I'll be at the bar. Not consuming alcohol, but I'll be there hanging. So yeah, we're really stoked. I mean, it's so hard to put together like a sick package. It's really tough. So I'm stoked. It actually, in a long time in our career,

it actually kind of came together. So that's pretty sick. Warthor was freaking awesome, dude. It was, uh, yeah, I remember when we got the offer, I was, oh, yeah,

we're finally doing. Warp Tour man. Hell yeah. And it was in Long Beach and it's in downtown. So we're driving. Me and my lady were driving in down. It's like, dang, we're in downtown. And the traffic

was horrible. Like right when we got into downtown, all it takes, dude, it's one wrong, I took one wrong turn because of direction someone gave me that I should have followed my gut and I took a wrong turn. And it's sent us to the front of a warp tour and that going with one big circle and it took over an hour

uh to actually get in uh the parking lot uh to get our passes and stuff so all that time i wanted to like warm up properly and change and maybe say what's up to a few people is like oh my gosh am i am i even going to make it on time i that thought crossed my mind but no it's all good uh went straight from Parking the car to with the help of my lady took the gear straight to the stage because we were on in an hour and I yeah, so we went straight to the stage got the gear up there got my clothes went straight to the porta potty Got a change in there as where I saw Jay And then the band that played right before us was Ginger and that was like a really great like a really great like like, like, pre-show kind of pump up.

I was just got changed. Got out of the sweaty porta potty. He went straight to the other side of the stage and saw Ginger's watching them. It's getting pumped. And then kind of like, I have my guitar, so it's just kind of warming up. And that was sick. I think this has been the third. Yeah, it was a third show back.

Again, played a lot better. played better felt good um i wasn't in the sun like the at the dc show where i played like crap um and uh yeah it was sick played good um it feels like i was telling me my my lady this i'm lucky dude like i'm i've officially crossed over um i've been drank it over four months we might even already been the we might already be in the fifth month um yeah no shots before the show just straight you know it's water just chilling and when i say crossover i mean like how's how do you even explain this like it felt like i was drinking if that makes sense because you're drinking because you're trying to get in like a mood and like tap into something

you're trying to feel it because if you're feeling it you're going to play a better show and then that's a better show for all you but uh yeah not drinking I was in a I was in a some type of zone and I guess the only way I could only way I could describe it is this feeling it you know you get that the

you get the emotional uh connection while you're doing the show I was like I'm drinking like I'm drinking Like I I think that this is it Feeling it Rocking out

And it was this It was sick head banging better Not tired Not full of two IPAs So that really helped Um just freaking Just freaking head banging dude Just head banging dude just head banging

Like the energy was sick this again thank you for supporting suicide silence um you know it felt like 2008 again like the response back in like the energies like it felt like a new band and uh so can't do that without you uh so i really appreciate that um yeah i walked around after the show chilled out changed in our a little a little trailer walked around the lady, tried to meet, try to meet all you. I'm trying to find the merch or merch, and I basically went in one big, one big circle. She went right.

I went left and then proceeded to go around the whole festival, which is cool. It's cool. I got to see some bands that was walking around painting truth with playing in one of the other stages. Oh, the main stage? I was like, who's playing? I think it was a cover band? I don't know. but um yeah i finally found found the merch it was cool

said hi to uh megan she flew in just for that i really appreciate it and then yeah just uh went back to a little trailer had uh i invented it i invented a drink i poured um a sugar-free red bull and we had gatorade there so i like you know i was i was getting like the like the like the ice put it in in low red cup like you're gonna put liquor in there and I put the red bull in there and a little bit of a red gatories I'm like yeah I'm sipping some so that was cool then we left we left ASAP then went to lampless pizza and Corona on Main Street and got a Caesar salad but yeah dude it was it was it was fun man it was uh it was a lot of fun and uh I just want to give a quick

shout out to my my dude defender hobby Cuba if you notice I was playing the OG the OG Fender here and it just he just fixed it up like a few days prior because I needed a

like the nut was cracking and there was like some string spacing issues this dork stuff and he put a new one on there so before it was bone and now it's a tusk

like the white one because I like with the white one which is actually right right behind me the white pearl I was like this thing stays in tune I'm like this is it plays perfect

perfect and then I go over the fender it's all done he's saying up how does it play and I think guitar player

maybe even all musicians struggle with this, which I want to touch on it real quick. It's like, how do you know when it's the one? You want to buy a new instrument, a new guitar, or you're changing strings, if you're redo an action on a guitar you already have, how do you know when it's done, right? And it hit me, it was like, oh, shit.

The moment I picked up this guitar when he was done with the setup and, like, handmade the nut. just perfect perfect I could tell you put some soul into it and uh you know when you pick it up and you're just riding a wrist without even trying that's I think that's when you know you found the instrument or you found the action you like it's just like wrist sort of flying out like I'm like I'm not even like trying this felt really it just felt really good man and uh it's it's uh whoops he did such a great job that uh uh uh

it's up there with the number one with the white pearl it's up there I was like there it doesn't I've had the guitar for years now and it doesn't it doesn't even play like like the guitar I've had for many years

it plays like a brand new instrument even it's looking at it I don't know you can't really get it on the camera but just the tusk nut I mean it's looking at it it looks perfect just like the detail in that and it looks like the way it was installed just looks like he was born that way then you know we got some uh we want to do a little

because the identity of this guitar has been changing with each seven that that i get and i was like you know what dude i like the black hardware on the other ones let's put the black hardware on this we got some fender locking tuners and this one i think it just kind of makes a pop more Yeah, there's something about the black hardware. It's just kind of connected. And we did like some kind of, um, I mean,

hobby made it clean, but I kind of wanted like, like a ghetto like access. So we kind of, so we sand paper down the fucking, uh, the, what is this called?

Do you know what this called, Jay? The heel. The heel, right. So the heel is like, it was like, it was like really bulky here. And then,

um, so we kind of like, so, So we made it round. It's kind of cool. Maybe this might be better. Made it around. So it's kind of like,

get a little kind of access. It fits my hand really well. And at the moment, that's, that's when you know when you pick up your instrument. And it just, it's just, things start flying out. Oh, my God.

I was like, what that? It was stuff like that. It was just like, oh, I'm like this, the guitars, just writing riffs.

I'm not even playing anymore. Even that riff right now, I'm like, I'm not going to go, I'm going to do, I'm going to do, I'm going to do, I'm going to do,

podcast and I'm not going to have anything written see what comes out. That rift just flew out. So there is something to be said about the action of your instrument. So that's me I learned because I know there's like an option paralysis with instruments, gear. People ask me all the time, you know, what guitar should I get? I don't know. Whatever is best for you. Try it out.

You go to guitar center, play some stuff. Um, but that's, oh yeah, that's kind of when, that's kind of when you know. Like, it's just right, like, when you start writing riffs. Just, oh, oh, shit. Well, when you're like, you get it first, you're, okay, it's kind of cool. But I think there, there's something to me said about, about the magic of when, uh, you kind of create something. Um, but then less than the second, which is the moment I started playing. I said, boom, start flying out.

So yeah, so that hopefully that, that helps you. Still, it's, I can't believe. This plays fucking sick. I love it, man. I love it. I've had this guitar for a long time. I mean, Carlos Lopez, the builder of this, did a great job.

And he's, because you don't know, he's went on to make his own instruments for Castosa. They're awesome. This is crazy how you could take the same instrument and just give it. It's a whole new life. And that just blew me away. Like, a lot of,

of love obviously it's all it's all beat up that's just like the look of it i love it so that's hopefully that helps you there's just so much there's so much gear out there you know so hopefully that uh that helps you it's just like i mean this guitar just to close it off it's just full and on chug maxing it just makes you chug max and just wet this it's it's get wet dude Um, what else? What else I do? I went to, I went to the Keo Forum. Um, I met a couple people there. I thank you for saying hello. Um, it was for the Emotionless and White, uh, show and Lorna Shore. Thank you to Adam, the guitar player for Lorna for getting me in the show. And if you're from California and you've been to the Keogorum, I didn't know until someone told me. I was. I was already there, I'm parked. Hey, did you go to the, uh, did you park in the preferred parking? I'm like, why?

I'm not fucking paying for that. Um, it was, this general parking. I don't know how much I paid, what, 50 bucks? I was like, all right, it's too much. So no, dude, it's, it's the Kia form. If you have a Kia, if you, if you don't know, I have a Kia Rio, you could, you get like this like preferred parking area. I'm like, oh, shit, I didn't know.

So I'm looking forward to the, uh, next time I go to the forum. I'm going to find that. keel parking because you're going to take all the all the juice you can get um see i got into the show and there's like this really cool kind of i don't know like guest room area where everyone kind of hangs out uh and then right when you walk in this room it's like oh what is it called like the farm club or something and then right when you walk in you're just you're just hit with, I guess it's called a dessert bar. Like, I'm walking, it's just like this, a cookie bar?

I don't know. Like, it's just, this, this long table is full of brownies, cookies, jelly beans, sweets, sweets, sweets, puddings. I mean, it was a work of art. And so I got hit right with that. But self-discipline one in that moment. Oh yeah, real quick sidebar To help with your anxiety If you're going out out somewhere public

Eat first I always do it It's kind of one of my personal Secret weapons I just I'll have like a Something small Something that's not going to get you tired

I'm not talking like a burger or fries Like from like McDonald's or something Like a little something You get like satisfy your stomach So when you're not going to get like you're tired of stomach So when you're not talking about you're tired of your stomach. So, uh, when you see stuff like that

you're not like you're not picking from the fucking cookie bar so very helpful I've been doing that for at least a year and you know kind of Celsius this channeling not drinking um

ran into an old friend so I made I made immense with an old friend which is really nice I wonder if I would have talked to him if I was drinking probably would have been drinking they're too busy but no fucking i don't know something told me to go up to him started talking it was really nice and uh then i went loren was playing at that point i'm like wow sat down

i was just wow um sounded sick it looked sick i was a trip because i was just there last november with my lady and we saw Mana and I was like I was just here for Mana and now I'm here for a death court show essentially it was a trick this is a weird

it's a weird thing when I see a show like that as like a platium or like a crazy like arena you're like what the fuck so it's still weird to me but it was all it was fucking awesome it was awesome man

sounded good look great like the lights It was like, damn, this is a fucking real arena show. And I watched into that a core band. Fucking amazing. That was cool. I met some people. I went back into a little farm club. I was hanging out with Ernie.

Scott Fred from Carnifex is cool to connect with them for a while. It's chill. And then a classic me, just left early. Missed traffic. I honestly didn't watch motionless. At that point, I was getting tired. and I don't like driving and being tired It's dangerous.

I struggle with saying that word dangerous. Dangerous. Is that how you say it? And we all, you come a point in time in your life where you got to make a decision. Am I going to drive straight home? Am I going to walk across this food?

Or am I going to stop? Am I going to get some cookies? So right before I was walking, the uh this sort of part which is why i brought it up the first time it's because it's gonna be a circle story yeah going on i'm leaving i'm leaving the the keel form oh yeah there it is a little fucking um yep i got two cookies and something else but what was that other weird thing i got it was like a a macaroon is that is how they call it some kind of like macaron on steroids on peptides I walked in a parking lot alone like a loser eating cookies.

And it was worth it. So yeah, shout out to Lorna. It was, it was just incredible. I just got to give credit what we're just do. It was just like how far the genres come. It's just like insane. Yeah, what else has happened? Me and my lady, well, my lady has been looking for an apartment for a long time.

And, yeah, we got, she got to. approved and she's moved in. We got, we're going to move outside of Corona, which I was a little bit bummed at, but found a place in Corona. Not leaving. So stoked. Nice area. Price is chill. Got really, sometimes in life, you just get super lucky. And I'm

blessed. I'm very lucky. So I'm going to let her move in. And I'll part move in after the tour because the thought of stopping a day or two to move in. It's just not in cars right now. There's still a lot of things we're doing for the podcast. I'm counting days. I just look at my schedule and I'm like, oh, my gosh.

It's not going to slow down until the tour. So probably I get home in December. Move on in. It was, it's get lucky. Man, sometimes you just get lucky. And I'm very blessed. Okay, the next section. I'm looking at it.

I'm like, should I skip it or not? Because I was going to celebrate something, but I had a little boo-boo last night. I guess we could... I'm going to be honest here for here on out. Me and Jared talking earlier about our weight and snacking. So my goal before was don't drink for three months. 90 days, three months. I think it's technically.

90 days, but it's, it's easier for your brain to process when you just say three. It's done a lot. Three months. Okay, cool. I did that. No stress. Good. So I'm like, okay, what's the next one?

Oh, you know, I've been trying to, I'm not, again, I'm not fat or anything, but, you know, I have a problem with overeating. And 7-Eleven has become a, I've been. going there. And my, all right, new goal. What's the next three months going to be for me? I'm okay. I wrote down some stuff. I'm like, okay, I think the next one should be no overeating. Because it's pointless for that, okay, I'm going to eat clean and detox. And your brain is always goes extreme. Your brain always goes extreme. I'm like, that's just fucking detox and fucking go on winter pills and just get horned up. But no, you know, let's just, I can't do any of that. And that's The overeating is the problem.

And all right. Be honest, I've been trying to do it for the past three weeks. And I started again this week. I was on day three. And then, yeah, last night I went to 7.11. And I got two slices of pepperoni pizza. And I went to Vons and got a Ben Jerry's to nice of dough ice cream. And that's what happened.

I was like, man, fuck. It just sucks, dude. Like when it's like, when the day's over, like you worked all day, like whatever your job is, you're just tired. And your willpower is just like gone. He's just wanted like, you know what, dude? I just want not thinking about anything. And it got me last night. So originally, I had my nose planned out yesterday and morning.

You know, yeah, I'm going to talk about this new goal. I'm three days in. Everything is good. But nope. I fucked up. So that's my new goal because. I'm trying to drop I'm 180 right now

I'm trying to drop to like 155 just a healthy weight and I'm not trying to get ripped right now maybe in the future but just trying to you know not have a puffy face and I have a bloated stomach but also the issue is

at this point with alcohol what it taught me is it's really made this better for you and for myself so I'm trying to fine tune things and the overeating does affect my mental state a lot like the focus isn't 100% you know so I'm trying to kind of lock in those fine tune those things to make this thing better and the overeating is an issue so I notice when I'm at like 150 I am the most focused there I'm 180 so have you seen 25 pounds of fat it's a lot and I know I'm not tall I'm 5-7 so 25 pounds on that kind of frame it's a lot it's a lot of

of fat. That's that's a lot of fat dude. That's on my body. Kind of looks like Ernie. But, uh, it's 25 pounds. That's a lot, dude. It's a lot. Um, so yeah, that's my new goal. I, I think saying this publicly will help me stay on track. Um, maybe this helped me with alcohol. Maybe I, I don't really know. But, uh, that's my new goal and I'll, I'll give some updates with every solo kind of checking. 155 and 150s is my goal.

I probably won't get there to like February next year. Because my opinion on this has changed. Feel free to comment below. But the big thing people are talking about right now is peptides. It seems like everyone is injecting peptides in their fucking bow holder or some kind of something. And I was against it. But people that have, I know that are really, you know, for me 25 pounds, you know, I'm lucky. I'm not fat, but other people I know they're fat.

It's actually helping them. So my opinion is changing. I am being more open-minded to it, but I want to go old-school discipline. Like, I need to stop stuffing food into my fucking face. But, yeah, no peptides. I'm not doing anything weird. No extremes. Pound a week.

Just slow, steady. So that's my goal. Just a more fucking clear head. So the main problem is the late night snacks. So you're hearing me, watching me struggle in real time, how do I stop this? How do we, do I have a snack ready at home? Do I have something? So I'm figuring out in real time.

Um, is that 70, 11 double pizza. It's only five bucks. And then, uh, fuck, when it's late at night, it just gets you. And also what I notice is that food is tasting differently. Like, so it's even pointless. Like, even like when I, when I do overeat, it's not like, you don't get like the same satisfaction as I did when I was drinking. I noticed my taste buds are very different. and foods I loved

like in love I'm my M I still kind of love it it's more like really like but yeah my favorite burrito tastes different now granted they changed the fucking fratia uh mcgill's junior

allegedly sucks allegedly and it's just such so heartbreaking because I love that burrito um like They had to change the tortilla This is a lot of shinfo

I'm just kind of going off my My brain right now But man I've been even going I don't get that satisfaction anymore It's all of it Because they used to sell these burritos At my high school Lunch and they were so good

Dude So they have like the childhood attachment to it But man The tortilla is such a big piece To a burrito It's the whole outside of a brito It's like the skin Of a burrito

And But So it kind of sucks now, but allegedly, so I don't get busted. Anyway, that's my new goal. Hopefully, hopefully this helps you. I know overeating is a problem for a lot of people. And ultimately, it's just, you know, just want to feel better. And if I feel better, have more energy, more energy to put into this.

And, uh, I had a little breakthrough. Man, I'm already going over time right now. Fuck. I'm trying to rush through this right now. I had a little breakthrough I want to share with you. So I always get questions like, do you get struck with guests and that? And how do you compose yourself?

And yeah, you got to be professional, which kind of sucks. And something cool could happen. And it's really hard to like be present in the moment. I think we all struggle with being present in the moment, right? We're not thinking about, you're not in like a rat race. You're not rushing anything or not. Thinking about the future of the past.

It's really hard to be present in the moment. There's been some really cool guests here that I loved as a child. And it's this kind of cane and went like, damn, fucking Chivalas just in here. And I didn't even enjoy it. I wasn't like present in the moment. I was just trying to. make the conversation good than actually just being present in my body and really channeling that inner child but uh it's all right you know still learning but something to happen with the pepper

keenan episode that i'm pretty proud of someone to share real quick that uh i think it went good i had a great time he was what a legend pepper is dude he's talking about OG um um He he went in To this riff I didn't ask him I'll ask the guest to play something But he just went into a riff And it was a clean riff

When uh when I'm talking I have like the like my headphones off my ear because I like the room sound but when they play I have it over my ear so I put the headphone over my ear to try to lock in I was like oh it might have been the first time

I was like oh shit like I'm like I'm kind of locked in right now I felt present and I felt like the cameras actually went away and I was really sick like oh shit like Pepper Keenan is playing guitar in front of me a clean riff

and he's like playing a show for me in like a weird way. It was just like, it was just nice like, oh shit, we're having a podcast right now, but I'm still, I was able to enjoy it

and lock in like, oh, this moment whenever happened again. Um, it was just nice kind of lock into my body and enjoy the moment. So that was a cool little breakthrough I had. I don't know anyone noticed it.

Yeah, we don't know. We adapt. You're like, damn, cars are still looking like shit. No, no, no, they're looking good, man. Sharp. Episodes have been getting better. And, yeah, man, just, we've got to keep doing it. We've got to keep, we've got to get ripped.

our previous drummer we would jam rumble fish before almost every suicide sounds whether it's like jam whether it's like writing for a record or like uh rehearsed for a tour people would bust out rumble fish um that song has become a thing now which is really cool the next thing that popped up in my uh semi working brain is uh david from corn um his style is just probably has my favorite snare placement. I know this is kind of geeky, but his snare placement is just like,

what made you? Like, why did you put the snare there? Like, why? This is his placement. He just knew when to throw in the snare. It sounds dumb when I say it, but no one else does it. He knew when to throw in these like snare accents.

I'm like, oh, thank you. Like my soul was craving, like an accent. Like, you can hear it in a, let's see, I'm in almost every corn song. He does something, but I'm thinking about chi. He just throws like these weird snares. Like in the third bar, my favorite. His beat forgot the life, changed my life.

The disco beat, again, the snare and the snare accents to that verse. When him afieldy play that verse, like I still listen back to that. that versic got to life. I'm like how just like the locking in of two humans that probably don't get along. But musically, they just connect in like an unexplainable way. It's just, it's just insane. And I mean, the whole photography, I mean, David is just, he's up there. Sounds incredible.

Just a power. I call him like, a powerhouse. I think he has the best Tom sound of all times. The Tom's, when Corn does Tom's, you're like, what the fuck? How do you sound that way? Okay, this is where we're going to get tricky. Let's just, I'll put myself

Their first skinless record That was it was lightening you for me It was like a moment like Corn Death Metal But no one in death metal drums like Bob Just like

kind of open up my mind that in death metal and heavy music you can have like a unique groove you can still groove and do breakdowns and um have your own thing

and when and when uh and his blasting tool is like not exactly on which we would end up doing it's kind of the same thing like we do blast beats and it's all crazy but it's kind of off but it adds to like the uniqueness of the sound as a whole. Oh, this copy is just, it's wet. And, uh, yeah, when I heard that first skinless, I'm like, and then there's a point

where a skinless didn't have Bob as a drummer and it sounded like shit. It's like, he just missed that groove. So I got to give, uh, and normally it talks about Bob at all. Like to me, the Ibanez RG semistring is the most influential guitar for heavy music. Like, not even like, I'm talking like the cheap models, dude. Like the, yeah, like the 7321, the 74-20, the 7620, like those, all those guitars that were at the time, I will buy them on eBay, dude, for like 300 bucks. $350 dude

and you're talking like you know writing those like the like the demo songs the EP songs the cleansing like all that shit

dude like it was the Ibane Cemetery that just kind of created on a sound and uh

pre uh pre suicide I mean corn put it on the on the map obviously with the universes. But personally, I never connected with the universes. Like when I saw Korn play seven strings is when they played the RGs that I connected with.

Oh, like those are more fitting. There was like like like the look of them. Whenever they played RGs, all those legendary models from like the night, like the late 90s like had like a like a, it's not, it's not, it's not silverbird. It's like a beige burst. Like it's a unique color. And the monkey had like a blue one with like a white paw on the 12 fret. Those those RGs to stick this are just ingrained in my mind, dude.

Also they would play in the music videos and Woodstock and all the and what have you. But I think also at the time you have a tray from Morbent Angel. I think he's also playing universes. that might have been the only guitar available at the time, I believe. But Trey, so Trey's killing it. I've been in sevens,

but with Trey, he was, I mean, he's also known for like, um, B.C. riches, like some crazy guitars. So he didn't really lock in.

Like, he didn't, like, he didn't have like the identity of it, but he still wrote some insane riffs with, with the seven string. And then, uh,

right after you have, obviously, Dino from Fear Factory. going in there. But that just inspired heavy shit, dude. Like that just exploded

like the influence of heavy music. And so guys like me that don't know shit that are in high school freshman year even junior high I'm like, oh, I want to

I've been as RG 7th string. That's what I want. And I think also at the time you couldn't really find the RG 7620s or 7420s Like guitar center had the They had the 7321s And they had these other models

They're in and out But if I went to the guitar center I played these They were like I think West Boran played it for a little bit It was like a It was like a gray Like a flat gray Not unless Paul

seven strings just pop up and then we would tour and like they would have these bands would basically have identical to our rigs and it was fucking crazy to see but it was the I've been as seven string it's I mean

it influenced so many bands you want to have Death Corps wouldn't exist without the I've been as RG I've been talking about it lately man I just want to buy one I just want to go on eBay like I used to buy this those like old RGs

there's one that was I believe it was a 7420 is to play a bass in Bank Hall Thrush real quick and then the other guitar player Jeff he had he had his guitar it was a set it was an RG 7420

and it was a gray pewter I think is the exact color so it's dark gray but it's flat and it looks so sick and uh I always ask him if I could buy it and he said no I think he probably still has it which is smart

then some years past I found on eBay I was buying guitars on eBay like it was candy dude I was just buy them sell them for no I don't know what I was doing it's being the time of kid but I did own it at some point I had a thing's called cherry or I think some kind of cherry red

ibnanz which ended up being on the cleansing i should have kept that guitar man so stupid yeah those i mean those guitars made made the scene what it is i mean without without the ibanance r g semestring i mean you wouldn't have you wouldn't have the deathcore scene hey jay go uh it's it's that orange one that one this is the guitar dude that guitar was sounded so so fucking sick, dude. I just bite the same one. Yeah, this guitar was unclensing. I think Mark used it.

And I took out the bridge and I put in a lungrin only because of a shugger because they were hyping. Yeah, this guitar sounded incredible, man. And I sold it like an idiot. I don't even know where it went. It's gone. That's it, dude.

but it's like you know how long can you go right? I just believe that it was a young person's game metal and music and like you got to be like in your 20s dude to like do it at a high level.

I mean, if you don't do it, then, like you're never going to make it, man. You're never going to make it. And now that we have hindsight and there's examples, I guess. I was like, oh, how long can we go? I can't say who, but I recently was talking to someone that just turned 60. They were saying, like, man, I don't know. I won't have five years left, man.

I'm like, don't talk like that. In my head, I was like, you look good. good. You're rocking out still. Like it's the 90s, you have a long time left. And I guess I could apply that to myself. Like, how long can we go? Um, I'm 40. Let's say I, let's say I stopped this when I'm 60. That's 20. I still have 20 years of rocking left. Um, I remember when the subject first started to pop up. Um, again, 20s, like, um, watching interviews of like Jim's hitful, talk about it. Like, the first, band people tend to bring up is the rolling stones

everyone's always like look at the rolling stones look at Mick Jagger he's so dancing I'm listening to Joe Rogan have you seen a Rolling Stones fucking concert it seems like Rolling Stones tends to be like this this band everyone talks about is like how long can you play music and then okay now it starts to

trickle down now okay stones now now what's the next example I think the next example would be ACDC You know how old are those guys How old is Angus Young They're so rocking

What no one talks about was Slipknot and the members is that it is nothing short of a fucking miracle how long that band has lasted with nine members. I'm in a band with four people.

Four humans. That's four humans too many. They have a whole other band. I want to say they had a solid nine and 99. I think it's when Jim joined and he was the last one. So I think we're looking at 99. the last record with the nine of them was

All Hope is gone And that dropped in 2008 I think 2008 so it looked 99 And unfortunately that party stopped when Paul Gray Tragically died So when did Paul Gray Passed away

Fucking sucks dude All right So 2010 So 99 in 2010 So you're looking at 11 years of nine psychos writing that kind of music torn as much as they did

taking over the fucking planet dude it is a miracle they lasted 11 years with that with those nine fucking psychopaths dude that is crazy

crazy dude like you did it like slip mine is set forever man they are set forever like never take away those records. So that's my take on it. We don't know coming from a band member,

it's impossible to explain the interpersonal relationships with the band members publicly. It's like, it's its own thing. And there's no way in hell that I understand their relationships with each other. No one does. they probably even know let alone

people with opinions I don't believe headlines I don't believe what people were saying no matter what comes out you will never know what went down or the relationships

or like the history and the past my bubble you don't know there's so much there's so much history that goes into a relationship

with the band each band is different And all that history, man. You're a 90s band. I can't even imagine money. Platinum records. Holy crap, dude. Again, I was a band with four people.

Four people, too many. Trying to think, just to relate to the Suza songs really quick. Dan Kenny joined in 2009. And we were the solid five. Again, I'm sending a slip knot. Tragically,

Mitch passed away. 2012 so I think it was yeah it was old 12 it kind of it still freaks me out how long how long ago it was

so if it's 2009 2012 um I'm trying to try to see a date from yeah 2012 so let's see 09 012 that's 13 years

so I was in a band for 13 years with five people. And that's a, I mean, that's what's, that's, people ask you what is successful, that's success. I mean, the tour of the world to have money, no money, live life, have the relationships, grow with each other. 13 years is the phenomenal run with five humans still doing it. So I think that's still not's biggest accomplishment. You know, people whenever know our personal relationships. But, again, we'll never know what happened with Sid and the band and vice versa.

It's just, it's impossible to know. Or maybe he sucks. Who knows? You know, I met Sid once, cool guy. You know what else? There is no love for clown in the early days of suicide sounds. I would watch interviews with Sean. And I always saw a little bit of myself in him.

Like his obsessiveness, his intention in detail, his competitiveness. Like, I've been following his interviews since I was a child up until now. I still watch his interviews. I'm like that. There's something like, this is something there. And, yeah, I just don't think he gets like the, appreciation like because without

he seems like with slip knot he's that's that's the vision and to start a band you need a vision so yeah okay all these other members are cool I get it cool all he does is banging a keg it's if you believe that you have no idea when it's like start a band

like you need you need that vision and without that vision there is no slip knot there's no band and he would just the way he talks I'm like something's there something is there man and uh yeah i mean he did

I mean he probably did the best he could what he had on to go that long with nine members and dealing with the personalities it's again and then now you have death and loss and that as a whole other dynamic that's really fucking hard to

to deal with and even live with in general um yeah he's done a great job and no one can do it perfectly nobody um i failed many times so i i totally get up but yeah just just that vision man you don't it's really hard to understand how a band dynamic works so yeah that's uh that's my take on it and it's kind of i think my purpose is also like it's when people would chill out like you don't it's just a headline you don't know you don't No, dude. There's so many little details that will never know.

But I hope Sid is okay. And I hope he's all right. I will say that one of my dream podcasts is with Clown. Everyone wants to talk to Corey and the singer, I get it, or the guitar players. But I want to talk to Clown. when when the podcast first started I did email him to be a guest

and I understand like we I was just starting so I didn't get a response I did reach out maybe like a year ago or two through management I remember her back but I mean yeah Sean I mean I

you're one of my dream guest I want to get inside the band dude just like what just to understand that mind that's always a conversation I personally wanted to have a split clown. People always tell me, you know, hit up Corey, hit up Jim or Mick and have the guitar sandwich. I mean, I have many dreams of the podcast. I mean, there's many like, oh, do I love to, you know, have like a Slipknot month where one episode, Sean and X Corey to next is Jim or Mick or, you know, like have like a whole month of Slip Not. you know kind of cool same in corn
