Starting point is 00:00:05 Artificial ingredients? No thanks. Artificial intelligence? Now you're talking. What's up, humans? I'm George Campbell, and today we're talking about how to save money by combining two of my favorite things, food and AI, aka intelligence of the artificial variety. AI, AI, AI, Generative AI, Generative AI.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Now, if you're like me, you're always looking for ways to save more time and more money. And one of the best ways I found to save money is by cooking meals at home instead of eating out at restaurants. Now, most of us know this, but then dinner time, and we're like, I don't really want to cook, I don't know what to make, I don't have any good non-stick pans, it takes too much time, and the only thing I really have in the fridge is like some old mustard and a couple of sparkling waters.
Starting point is 00:00:45 I'm gonna die, I'm going to die. So we end up going out to eat at a restaurant or ordering takeout or, God forbid, having food delivered by Sheila and a Camry who's on the way but has two stops to make before she gets to your place with a sweaty plastic sack of lukewarm wantons. And even though it's expensive and riddled with fees, we do it again and again, because it's easy. And we tell ourselves it takes too much time and cost too much money,
Starting point is 00:01:05 to make good food at home. But what if we could outsource some of the work by finding affordable, easy, at-home meals to the robots? You! Or at least, chat GPT. Well, today, I'm going to try it. And in case you've been living under a rock, chat Gpt is an artificial intelligence chatbot
Starting point is 00:01:21 released in 2022 by a company called OpenAI. And it seems like everyone's talking about it these days. And some people are scared it's going to take their jobs or learn how to mimic human emotion. I was just learning to love. But some people are, you know, using it to be more productive, and they're getting pretty creative with it too. People are using it to make playlists, generate questions for trivia nights, and even write wedding speeches.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Becky, I'm just so happy for you. I'll always remember that time. We went to Taco Bell at like 2 a.m. And you were like, give me all the things. It was hilarious, but I guess you had to be there. I'm sorry? Inside joke. Anyway, my personal mantra is work smarter, not harder. And I think chat GPT can help us with that. So let's see if artificial intelligence can help me save some real money and real time with meal planning. And you know what the robots can't do for you yet? Hit that like and subscribe button. Yeah, they can't do it with a friend.
Starting point is 00:02:13 The robots can only share data and viruses. So do it now before the robots make you do it. Is that a threat? All right, let's get to it and see what chat GPT can whip up for us today. So I'm using chat GPT plus version GPT-4. You can use whatever version you want. It's going to get the job done. So here's my prompt for chat GPT.
Starting point is 00:02:32 Create a meal plan for two people for a week with five easy, affordable gluten-free recipes for an instant pot or crock pot that have less than 10 ingredients and take less than 10 minutes of prep time. Let's see what happens. Bebo, beep, bo, boop. So day one and four, we've got an instant pot chili. That sounds good. I can get down with that. Mmm. That sounds good.
Starting point is 00:02:52 I'll have that. Look at it. This is incredible. I wish every recipe blog on the internet looked like this. Not riddled with 47 ads and weird, long-winded stories about your me mom. garden and how you grew up picking the heirloom tomato. I just want to know how to make a kale salad. Okay, so thank you robots for skipping all the crap. You're welcome. So day one and four, we've got an instant pot chili, delicious. Day two and five, we've got crock pot chicken
Starting point is 00:03:16 tacos. I can get down with that. And day three and six, we've got an instant pot vegetable curry. How cultured, very nice. And day seven, we've got a crock pot beef stew. I'm not going to lie, that's a dope meal plan. You all agree? Would you guys eat that? Are you not entertained? It's listed out the ingredients, it's got the instructions. All right, so now we have all of the recipes, we have all of the ingredients, but the work here is not done. Because I still gotta figure out what are all of the ingredients I need to shop for in one list. So what I'm gonna do is go down to the prompt and say, all right, now give me a grocery list of exactly what I need to make these recipes.
Starting point is 00:03:58 Certainly, below is the consolidated grocery list of exactly what you need to make this. these recipes. All right, so it gives us the proteins listed out, the vegetables listed out, the canned goods, the spices and seasonings, and other, which includes salsa and corn tortillas. Please note, this list assumes you have salt and pepper. Thank you. I'm not an animal. Got salt and pepper at the crib. Ensure that all packaged items such as taco, seasoning, curry, paste, and broth are gluten-free. So thoughtful by reading the labels carefully. I'm very impressed with the robot. So, hey, make sure you read your own nutrition labels because we We don't want to get you sick.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Very much appreciated. So now I'm going to pop over to another page where I'm going to add all these ingredients to my grocery cart for free pickup. You can do this whatever grocery store you want. I'm going to choose Kroger. Hashtag not sponsored. It's just the one that's closest to me.
Starting point is 00:04:46 All right, so we're going to start here with the protein. So I'm going to search for products. I'm going to look up ground turkey. And I need one pound of ground turkey. Let's see. I've got, do we want to go 85 lean? Yeah, we'll try that. 16 ounces, that's a pound.
Starting point is 00:05:04 We're going to add the cart. 549, not bad. Now, you have better things to do than watch me add all this to my cart. So we're going to speed this part up. So after tax, my total comes out to $74. And 28 cents for an entire week's worth of healthy, affordable meals that take me less than 10 minutes of prep time each with less than 10 ingredients that's actually healthy.
Starting point is 00:05:24 I've got to say, are you guys impressed? Are you not in the taste? And we got way more ingredients than we need. We're going to be able to reuse a lot of these seasonings as well. and if you multiply that out, if I do this every week, that's less than 300 bucks for the entire month of weekday meals, and I'm probably going to have some leftovers, if we're going to be honest. That's pretty impressive.
Starting point is 00:05:43 The robot did a good job. My brain, searching the internet, would have taken way longer to come up with all that. So there you have it. I just use artificial intelligence to help me save money and time by helping me meal plan for the entire week. So if you're really trying to save money right now in order to pay off some debt or save for a house-down payment or take a trip to the world's largest non-stick frying pan in Pittsfield,
Starting point is 00:06:01 Maine, don't be afraid to get creative. I just try to think creatively. See if you can use the power of AI and technology in the internet to help you reach your money goals. Now, small caveat, I wouldn't trust ChatGPT with some high-stakes things or even very specific money advice, since it pulls a lot of the information from sources that may not be the most trustworthy, right? You're unworthy!
Starting point is 00:06:22 But maybe you can have Chad GPT find you some good side hustles based on your specific skills. Maybe it can help you to learn how to do some DIY home repairs that can save you money. Or maybe it can help you come up with some good ways. to tell Becky, you refuse to spend $300 on a floor-length light blue chiffon gown with a modest neckline that you'll never wear again. Like, where am I going? That calls for a floor-length light blue chiffon gown with a modest neckline. Now, aside from AI, another great resource is the meal planning and grocery savings guide from my friend, Rachel Cruz. It's totally free, and it will help you get that food budget under control. I'll drop a link to that in the description.
Starting point is 00:06:55 And if you want more videos on how to use AI to help you win with money, Give me some ideas of what you want to see down in the comments. To end our time together, I thought it would be fun to give ChatGPT one last prompt. Here it is. Give me a dope, old school rap based on these recipes that will encourage the viewers to like, share, and subscribe to my YouTube video on this topic. Yo, yo, yo, let me take the floor. I got recipes that you can't ignore. Instant pot and crock pot in the house making meals that are as quiet as a mouse.
Starting point is 00:07:23 I got chili with the beans and the meat. Diced tomatoes make it nice and sweet. 10 minutes of prep, you heard it here. So easy you can make it with no fear. Chorus. I didn't know raps have choruses. Like, share, subscribe, don't forget. My YouTube channel is your best bet.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Gluten free meals that taste so great. Hit that bell, don't hesitate. It's pretty good. Not my rapping. You know what? None of that was actually good. As always, be sure to like, subscribe, and share this video with everybody you know
Starting point is 00:07:54 who needs this information because the robots, they already have the information. They're good. Oh, and if you want to check out recipes and ingredients, I'll drop them in the description below if you want to make them at home. Thanks for watching. I'll see you next time.
