In a gentle way as gentle as possible, I said, do you have a credit card? And I just said, I said, I'm sorry, but it's either the credit card or me. You can't have both. Yeah, money, man. I mean, if you have it like this and God wants to bless you with more what's going to happen, it's just going to fall off your hand and hit the ground. Whenever we do videos around generosity here at Ramsey, they get a lot of hate for some reason. Here's one comment.

Screw being blessed and blessing others. You need money. I think that guy needs a hug and a couple Earl Grey. The goal is eventually is like to give. more off camera than even on camera through videos just privately. I'm just in my prayer time reading the Bible and I feel like the Lord just says, Jimmy, give 10 grand away. And I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no.

You don't know how many tables I had to wash for that? What's up, guys? Today we've got a very special guest in studio. Who is this mystery man? Well, the thumbnail gave it away. But it's Jimmy Darts. You've probably seen him in your algo, as we say in the biz. And he's been surprising strangers with random sense of kindness for a long time now.

And today, we're going to dive into his view of wealth, generosity, and why the heck he's been giving away all this money. Let's get to it. Jimmy, welcome. Thanks for having me. This is exciting. You're from Minnesota. I think it's ironic that you're one of the nicest guys out there.

And it's a stereotype, right? Minnesota nice. So what I want to know, first, what overcooks your casserole? What overcooks my casserole? I don't know much about food, cooking. I'm kind of a, you know, frozen pizza kind of guy. Oh, my God. This is how nice he is.

Grandpa claims to have invented the first frozen pizza of Minnesota. That's another story. I honestly don't know if it's true or my grandpa started losing it at the end of his life. He's gone now. R-I-P. R-I-P. He had the same name as me, Jimmy, so if you're watching upstairs, hello. That would be amazing.

If they're up there and they're going, hey, let's check out George Campbell's YouTube channel. I mean, I love that. Well, here's what I meant by that. What gets you flustered? You know, like, you're such a nice guy, always happy. like what does it take to really push Jimmy's buttons? If something was to upset me, I think we'd ask you life.

I would say maybe not enough cream in my coffee. I like it to where it's like basically drinking straight half and half. Okay, that's how you anger in Minnesotan. Give me more cream. Don't try that at home. Don't cross Jimmy Darts. I wouldn't dream of it. So for those that are watching, we're going,

okay, Jimmy Darts, I've heard of this guy. How do you describe what you do? What I do is I basically go around the country and I just go up to different people in parking lots at Walmart, at gas stations, and I'll just think of a challenge. So I'll think of like, man, my car's out of gas. Like, can someone give me five bucks to fill up the tank? Or I'll go knock on a door and say, hey, I'm so sorry.

Like, I need a jacket. I'm like freezing. And the first person to help me, I give them usually like a thousand bucks or $500 for their kindness. And then if the video, you know, people see the video and really want to help, we'll put up a go-fund me. and then I'll go back to that person, meet up with them, and I'll usually surprise them 24 hours later and say, you know, the internet saw how kind you were to me and we want to give you $50,000,

and it's just crazy because a lot of people are struggling and have different circumstances, you know. Yeah, that's life-changing money. What's the most you've given away in a single day or to a single person? Over 100,000, 150,000 or so. And then do you keep track that, like, are you tallying with the crew of like, hey, here's how much we've given away over time? Yeah, on GoFundMe, yeah, we've raised over a million dollars for people. You've had amazing success, a lot of views, you know, 1.5 billion on YouTube alone.

How did this all get started where you found this sort of niche of like, this is who I am, this is what people need, and people will gravitate towards this? Yeah, yeah. I was like a missionary in India, in Brazil, in Australia for a little bit when I got out of high school. So I went around just praying for people with like a Christian organization. doing stuff. And then I got back to the States and I was like, dang, it's now time to get like a real job because I'm no longer on the mission field doing this. I'm back in the U.S. And that's when I was just like reading my Bible on this mountain. I say mountain. It was more of a steep hill. Oh, this is poetic. It was a steep hill. Mountain sounds a little too cool. So I was up on this hill and I was just reading my Bible and I was like,

God, like what should I do with my life essentially, you know? And I felt like he said, ask people for help. And then when they help you change their life. And I was like, what? And he's essentially, he's like, yeah, I want you to go make videos, but this time do it for me. Because I used to do, like, party videos and crazy videos when I was younger. And so the first one I did, I was in California and his family was crossing a sidewalk. And I was like, I don't know, I'm going to ask them for like something to eat. I said, can I have something to eat? And they whip all like a burrito out of their backpack.

Wow. Yeah, it was like half eating or something, but it's all they had. And I took it. And then they gave me a couple bucks. And at that time, I was only giving away $100 because that's all I really had. And so I gave them $100. And they were just overwhelmed with emotion. from that. And then I was like, how can we help them more? And so I was like, I wonder if I put like a

GoFundMe up in this video. And sure enough, we raised like four or five grand, which covered their rent for a few months. So it was cool. And then it just kind of snowballed from there. Do you think it's the amount of money or is it the shock of such a kind act in what feels like a cruel world? What is it that draws up the emotions? They get emotional because, yeah, they just see that how many people care about them and strangers, you know, wanted to sow into their life. And the cool thing is when people, you get like $50,000 to $100,000, it's not one person that donated all this. It's like 5,000 people sending a couple dollars, you know. So most of the people, almost all these people, they've been living a kind life, their whole existence,

helping people doing stuff, but never once got rewarded for it. You know, just doing it because that's who they were. But in this one moment, it was captured on camera, and now they're the hero and they actually got rewarded. And there's a Bible verse that talks about it, essentially just of like, yeah, just don't go weary and doing it. good and so, you know, when they've got $3 left their name, they give me the last few quarters at a laundromat, it's really powerful. And so, yeah, it's really a blessed. That those who don't have a lot to give still were so generous.

Yeah. That's a good reminder for all of us out here. So, Jimmy, you reached out to me on Instagram, and I was shook. I was like, I think Jimmy Darts got hacked. Why is Jimmy Darts DMing me? And you had told me you were a Ramsey fan. Oh, yeah. I didn't know that.

So tell me about your personal financial journey. My dad has kind of introduced me to Dave Ramsey. started doing his program like seven years ago and I just started watching the videos and I loved it. I just have always found that self-control and delaying instant gratification always pays off, you know? Yeah, I always worked at my dad's restaurant growing up so I was a dishwasher, old silverware, it was a cook for like a week. I sucked so they kicked me out of there. Wow, that's got a hurt to get kicked out by the old man. Yeah, well I'm left-handed, so I would spill the soup always trying to pour it. I didn't think about that. Yeah, yeah. So I didn't either until

it happened. Can you be a cook if you're left-handed? I don't think so. Wow. God bless him. I'm sure there's some left-handed cooks out there. Comment below. Very niche audience out there. Stop pretending I don't exist. But yeah, so, you know, when I was working at these, my dad's restaurant, I always was just investing whatever I could into stocks and stuff like that, because I just know like it's so important to think about the future. And if you have your finances in order, if you don't have a huge car payment, if you're not spending beyond your means, you have a sense of freedom. And then with, that freedom you can go and choose what you want to do you know so i started an amazon business it was doing pretty good like not a crazy amount but it was it was making a few thousand dollars a month and

with that not being in debt that gave me the freedom to travel around in my little honda accord to start making the videos i wanted to do which is if i had like no savings you know had a ton of payments i would be stuck in a city at a job and not be able to get out and do it you'd be a little more desperate and here you are you know you just you seem like a real peaceful guy yeah yeah like candles and you know tea and stuff wow i didn't all right now i don't want to get jimmy for christmas oh yeah add that to the list earl gray i'm an earl gray have you tried lady earl gray no lady yeah try it out it's got like honey in it or something more citrus in there i don't know what it is something delightful about it stop being so british i want to know how frugal are

you in your personal life like you told me you're driving a honda cord as you've you know you've had a lot of success, a lot of big brand partnerships, making a lot of money from YouTube. Do you still feel like you're a frugal guy at heart? There's so many more things you can do with money than just buy material things or whatever and you never know how long, you know, you're going to have a job or do something or whatever. You don't know if there's going to be an unexpected expense or whatever. So I've always been frugal. For me, this is big for me to be wearing shoes right now. You're flexing on them right now. I've always got sandals on and it feels like my foot's in a prison. Thank you for giving us that dignity. I'm trying to be.

respectful so that's why I brought the shoes this is 4K but uh you're feeding for that's a lot yeah so I kind of have some stains on my jeans here but I really have like maybe six white shirts three uh swimsuits and that's like usually what I wear every day that's it and you still drive the Honda a course yeah yeah I got the Honda she's getting up there it's got like uh 240,000 miles but

she's just getting started oh yeah that's what they say you know that's what they say so I think we can get her up to 800,000 miles but what is the most frugal thing you do like Do you have a money hack that you do that everyone's like, Jimmy, what do you do? Come on. You're out of your coupon and like, what would your family and friends say?

Well, I got a money hack, but, you know, now my convictions have grown a little bit, you know, since I've gotten saved. So I don't do it anymore. But I used to back in the day, I'd go to the Dairy Queen drive-thru, and I'd say, excuse me, could I split a banana split? And so they kind of get a little nervous and they end up splitting your banana split. They really give you two full banana splits for the price of one. Hi, Job.

I'm going to try that. Yeah, I've never heard that one. Another hack, you know, I do. My wife gets a little upset with me, but I throw everything at the laundry at once. So I usually come out with a nice little rainbow tint on my clothes. You don't separate the colors in the white. Okay. You just all in there at once.

I feel like life's too short to be separating. And I'm like, listen, if the whites get ruined, we'll buy some more whites. Well, then you also, yeah, you just get a cool color that no one else really has. Like a nice light blue. Yeah, like a rainbow tint. But then your wife's upset because you ruined her actual nice clothes. Well, no, no, not her clothes. Just mine.

Yeah, yeah. No, I would never. do that. Being married has taught me a lot. Yeah, you've been married for how long now? Eight months. I'm thinking about writing a book on marriage. Wow. You mastered it. The guy is figuring it out. No, it just called the first eight months. Oh, that's good. I feel like I've, I've been married a day and a hundred years. It's been great. It's been great. That's the kindest thing you can say. What have you learned about money as you've been married eight months? Like combining finances, that's a difficult thing for a lot of people to do. There's a sense of independence. Some might call it

selfishness of this is my money. I worked hard for it. How do you view that with marriage? There's a couple things, you know, that you want to make sure you get in line and organized before you even get married. You know, like obviously their faith, you know, and if it matches up with your belief in God and stuff, kind of how you want to live your life and then finances. I was on the way to Las Vegas, not to gamble. I don't gamble. If I did, my dad would, you know, I don't know. He'd take me out. But anyways, I was on the... For ministry? I think I was on the way to the podcast, the Graham Stephan podcast. Oh, ice coffee hour.

Yeah, yeah. I was on my way there. My girlfriend was riding with me, who's now my wife. But we were driving, and I was like, all right, we've been dating a couple months now. I need to get the cat out of the bag and bring up this question. And so I said, in a gentle way, as gentle as possible, I said, you know, do you have a credit card? And I found out she had a credit card. My heart sunk a little bit.

I got to hear Dave Ramsey in the back of my head. And I said, is there any debt on it? And there was a few thousand, not a big deal. And I just said, I said, I'm sorry, but it's either the credit card or me. You can't have both. It's a bold strategy, cotton. Let's see if it pays off for them. And sure enough, instantly, she goes, you.

And I go, all right. And I took a hot exit turn, pulled off in this random gas station in the desert. I said, where's the credit card? And she pulled it out. And she held the credit card up, and I got the guy working the cashier. I said, I need you to saw this in half. Oh, my goodness. So he whipped out like a knife and started, he didn't have a scissors, so he started

sawing the credit cards. Yeah, it feels like the gas station guy is just ready with a knife at all time. Yeah, yeah, I'm glad he didn't like slip and hit our hand or something. Wow. He saw it right in half, and we paid off that credit card, and we had the conversation that we're not going to live in debt. We're not going to use credit and stuff. We're only going to buy what we can afford.

And she was all on page with that, and so I knew I had a keeper. Yeah, that could have been the one that caught away if she said. What's riskier is not talking about it, making a cover. and then talking about it. But she could have said, I'm keeping my cards, Jimmy. And he went, all right. I'm going to drop you off in the desert, I guess. Yeah, I would have, you know, would have, well, no, I would have,

I probably would have just gotten out of the car and said, just take it. You take the car. I'll walk from here. I respect that. You're a man of chivalry, if nothing else. So as you've become more successful, how have you managed to avoid lifestyle creep? A lot of the creators out there, they're doing well. They go, I'm going to upgrade and get the nicest of the nice thing, and they want to flex a little

bit, how do you stay grounded? When you're making income or whatever business you have going on, you know, it's like, what's the thing driving you, you know? And if it's driving you to be successful or to like prove your family or kids you grew up with or whatever, then you're going to do all those different things. But if your purpose is like what I feel I'm doing is, man, I want to take care of my family, take care of my wife, my future kids, you know, I want to save up as much money as I can without spending it on dumb things so I can use that stuff to, you know, donate and, you know, build 50 wells in a country or take my family on a mission trip or, you know, if someone at the grocery store needs a car, buying that car. And the goal eventually is like to give more

off camera than even on camera through videos just privately. So, you know, and I just love what Dave says where it's like live like no one else so you can give like no one else. You know, it's hard to, if you only have $5 to your name and you've got. got a neighbor that has like some crazy medical bill pop up. It's hard to cover that if you only have $5. You can be generous with Little and that's a great place to start, but being able to steward money. What's the thing that you're like, man, this was a bigger spend for me, but it was worth it?

A trip? Was it a mattress? Yeah. What's the thing that's like? I like a good plate of risotto. Oh. Yeah. That's the big squirts for Jimmy.

And there's some risotto. I might eat the risotto and pound seven, eight Arnold Palmer's with that risotto. Some places you'll get at free refills, but if you don't, that bill could creep up there. I'm learning a lot. Tea, candles and risotto. He's a simple man. Simple taste. So, Jimmy, your brand is all about these incredible stunts of kindness, as you've called them.

How do you find the people that you help? This feels like you could do it randomly in hope, but you have a method to the madness here. Usually it's, you know, I'll just be going around town in my Honda driving around, and I'll just kind of be talking with the Lord, and it'll be like, God, where should we go? oh, what should we do? And for example, one video, I felt like he said, ask someone for a hug. And the first person to hug you, give him $500.

So I drove around town. I'd walk up to like 10 people and a foot away from, I would just feel like this isn't the right person. So I'd walk up and be like, oh, sorry, I have a good day. And then I was like, God, what's going on? Like, why don't I feel peace to do this? And then I was driving home. The sun was setting and I saw a guy on a bike and he had like,

just got done work and he had paint all over. And I just was like, That's the guy. Asked him for a hug. He stopped his bike with his feet because his brakes didn't work on the bike. And he gives me a hug. His name was Jose. And sure enough, I give him $500.

And this grown man, it starts weeping profusely. And I'm like, what's going on? And he goes, today at work, the boss paid everyone except for me. Me and Jose ended up becoming really good friends. And we raised like $50,000 for him. And he was able to be reunited again with his family in El Salvador and stuff. So sometimes I'll hear of someone really amazing. Go try to find them.

other times I'll just be driving around with the Lord and just if I see an interesting situation. Show an opportunity. That's what I love. A lot of people, they want to be generous, but they're worried about their own world. They're worried about their own bills. And so part of following the Ramsey plan, getting out of debt, having margin to give, it allows you to look up for those opportunities. Yeah, money, man.

I mean, if you have it like this and God wants to bless you with more what's going to happen, it's just going to fall off your hand and hit the ground. But if you're like this and your generous giving, He's like, oh, George or Jimmy or whoever this is, I can now bless them with more because I know they're not have idolatry in their heart and they're greedy over money so he can keep blessing them. And I found this lesson out very early. I'd been working at my dad's restaurant, you know, investing like every dollar I made. And so I had around like $20,000 in like a mutual fund that I had stored up and I was just in my time with God like doing everything right. Investing, being smart, not buying stuff.

And I'm just in my prayer time reading the Bible and I feel like the Lord just says, Jimmy, give 10 grand away. And I was like, no, like that's just my internal voice. That's not God, you know? And then a day later, I just feel it again, give 10 grand away. And I'm like, no way. Like, you know how many tables I had to wash for that? Like, that's like 600 tables and whatever. You're doing the math of what it's going to cost. I was like, I just worked this whole summer for no point, you know. You get a realization like, why did I choose to follow God? Did I choose to follow God for like fire insurance?

so I didn't go downstairs when I die, or did I really, you know, get encountered by the gospel and want him to be Lord over my life? And if that's the true answer, then he has to be Lord over your life and you have to trust him. And Lord of your money. Yeah, God's either not real or he is real.

And if he's real and he sees you being obedient to him, he's not going to punish you for that. So I was like, all right, I'm not going to tell my dad or my parents or my financial advisor. Like, if this is a smart choice, I just need to go do it and get this off of my mind. And so I went in and got like, 10 grand out in cash. I didn't even get it in like a check or like, you know, it's just literally in

cash. I had an envelope and I was just like, who am I going to give this to? And there was a pastor in our town like a traveling minister. They would go around the country just helping people just, I mean, this guy would give you the shirt off his back if you asked it. Like he used to eat pizza and then share a slice with my dog. Like it was the strangest thing. But really nice guy, kind of a character. Yeah, you got to be. Yeah. So I was like, man, I think I need to give it to him. Would he eat the pizza after the dog got by? That's what was crazy. Okay, that part's different for me.

That's too much information. But anyways, this guy, I go up to him. I'm like, hey, I got something for you. So I say, hey, I just want to bless you with this envelope. And I said, you're awesome. Don't ever thank me for this. Don't ever call me. And please don't tell anyone.

Just have a good day. And, you know, because the Bible talks about, like, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. I didn't want to sound like a hero for doing this. So I never plan on sharing this story ever, you know, or bringing it up. Well, I run into the guy like five years later. And he goes, Jimmy, did I tell you what happened? And I go, no, what happened?

He goes, that envelope you gave me? I thought it was a thank you card. So I had it in my house just sitting there for like a week. And then I ended up looking and it was full of cash. It's a thick thank you card, my guy. Yeah, so he started counting it to his wife. And she's like almost passing out. And they realize it's 10 grand.

And so they're like, we call it the bottomless envelope. And I'm like, what? He goes, yeah, we ended up going around the country. We would see someone getting gas, give him $100. A homeless guy who needed a food, give him a hundred bucks they would go around giving money away whenever they did that random people would come up to them and give them more money to put in it and so it's like still full of this day because i thought my blessing was just for him but then to know it blessed like 60 other people was crazy

it's wild and so that's why i tell people all the time i'm like man don't be discouraged like you know when i make videos i see the impact because people will comment and be like this change my life this and that but if you're someone that's not making videos and stuff and you bless someone at a grocery store or say hi to someone like you'll probably never see them again but in eternity you'll see the effect you had on people and the ripple effect will be absolutely crazy and so but that really taught me a lesson because i was so scared to give away like half my bank account but after that i had been failing on amazon month after i did that my amazon went from making like 500 bucks a month to like four grand a month and so then i was able to like full time start traveling and making content

conversation with Jimmy. So we see the highlights, you know, on your Instagram and TikTok, the ones that work out. Are there any that don't work out that fail spectacularly and you go, okay, that was a miss? Yeah, yeah. I mean, sometimes I'll go up to someone. I'll be, hey, can you help me buy this or whatever? And they'll be like, oh, no, no, sorry, can't. And then like a minute later, they'll come back and be like, oh, actually, yeah, I totally can. Because I recognize you? Then I see that look in their eyes and I'm like, no, this guy definitely knows. And so sometimes that happens.

But I'm pretty good at discerning if someone catches on me or not. Do people recognize you more and more now to where it's harder to pull these off? No, no. Usually it's, you know, one person or two people a day that'll see me and say, what's up or whatever. But no, I don't know. For whatever reason, usually the people I go up to, like, it depends on sometimes I'll go up to younger people, whatever, but a lot of times I'll go up to people that are a little bit older and so they're not so much on social media knowing everything. If all I did was go up to 20

year olds, you know, I probably wouldn't work. It'd be harder. Wow. Well, some people, you know, online, they criticize acts of kindness on social media as being maybe performative or just for the likes and views. Now, I know you as a person. You are the opposite of that guy, but how do you respond to that when it comes up? There's a million people making tons of different content and stuff. there's probably great people doing it for the right reasons. There's probably people maybe doing it for the wrong reasons or whatever. All you can do is worry about yourself and control what you're doing and why you're doing it, you know. My videos when you watch them, I feel like the main highlight is the person.

And that's why I really didn't want to be in the videos originally. And I just wanted to have like a hidden camera was because 80% of my comments are, you know, Teresa is so nice. Shelly is so amazing. You know, this guy's so awesome because they're the ones in the video. Yeah. But I'm just saying that, you know, internal world is what you're accountable for. And so you just have to keep that on luck.

I like that. That's a strong answer. You passed the test. Oh, baby. Where's my lollipop? I talked to your dad. And he was like, oh, since Jimmy was a little kid, he'd get his Christmas money. And we'd say, you can spend this and you're going to give this much away.

And he'd want to just give it all away. Yeah. So this is clearly, you were wired for this at a young age. Yeah, yeah. I mean, I don't know about give it all the way. I remember my parents gave me, like, $200. And I would have, like, $100 to buy. some toy and then 100 to give away.

But the first time we did do that, I gave like $100 to a guy on the street and just seeing his reaction in his face was so wild. I was like, this is amazing. This is way more fun than the toy I can get. Yeah, this is way more funner than the game that's going to get scratched, you know, and not work two weeks later. Yeah.

You know, so. That's an incredible lesson to learn at a young age. Yeah, exactly. So if parents can teach their kids at a young age, that stuff, and saving and, yeah, trusting God and stuff, I think, yeah, they'll be off to the races. Whenever we do videos around generosity here at Ramsey, they get a lot of hate for some reason. Here's one comment.

Here's a real comment. I want to read to you. Screw being blessed and blessing others. You need money. Five exclamation points. All caps. Never give away money unless it is a tax right off. Three exclamation points.

You'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands and even then my spirit will haunt you till the end of time. Three exclamation points. Boy, that escalated quickly. Is that like an X of yours or something? You know, I must have a lot of X's out. there because we get a lot of these comments, Jimmy. What do you say to people like this who feel like giving away money is a waste? This is for me. I'm only going to do it if it's a tax right off, especially when I say to tithe. If you're a believer, tithe 10%. People go,

why would you give money the church? Are you serious? How do you respond to that? I think that guy needs a hug and a couple Earl Grey. Hey. That could change your life. Maybe a deep tissue, massage, like a 10, 15 minute. The ones in the kiosk where they, you don't have to take your shirt off. you know, they just, you know, loosen up his shoulders a little bit. I don't want to admit it. I'm a big fan of the mall chairs. Yeah, they're nice. If you live like that, you know, you'll probably, you'll have this, you know, organized life. But you're never probably going to experience, like, you know, the supernatural grace and power of God, like blessing you where you're like, this is out of my control.

Like, where did this even happen? You know, like, if you're wild and generous and in a smart way, you know, and do that, you know, I think that. It's a better life. Yeah, it's a better life. It makes it fun, you know. It's like, when would you want to go on a roller coaster that's just a straight line? It's like I could go on the highway and do that. You know, you've got to have a little excitement.

Well, people have a very finite view of money. If I have less, someone else has more, and I love the way Dave Ramsey talks about this, where it's like, it's not a cake where there's a slice missing. It's a candle to where I can light someone else's, and I still have my flame. Yeah. And I think it's a beautiful way to sort of envision wealth and money and generosity, because it's a big principle here at Ramsey. Yeah, it's one of the only things in the Bible where God actually says,

test me in this, you know, he's like, test me and your generosity and giving and watch what I'll do. So you can actually be generous with the worst heart posture for the most selfish reason or whatever, but it's actually like a principle on earth that it will come back and it will return, like from what I experienced as a little kid and just knowing that, yeah, when you give, you know, you'll never have lack, you know, but God will provide. How do you avoid the mentality of this transactional view of generosity? where people go, well, Jimmy said, if I give some money away, I'm going to have this amazing life and get my dream job and be a multimillionaire.

Yeah, it's not a microwave. It's like a farmer planting seed, you know, so you don't go plant seed in a week later, you're like, oh, we got a carrot or, you know, some corn. It's like you plant in months and months later. And a lot of times when you're generous, it doesn't mean it's going to be a one-for-one ratio where I gave away $10 now, I got $20 back, or my $10 return.

Like, it can look like a multiple of things, you know. So, for example, I'll mean. meet my wife at the most random place and I'm like, this woman's from heaven. And I'll be like, dang, like maybe, you know, when I chose to live in purity for the last six years and to not sleep around and do this or whatever, God like led someone to me because of that. Or maybe, man, because I managed my finance as well in private, that's why I got this crazy job interview that popped up, you know? So it's not like a one for one thing.

I think if you live generous, like great things will happen. That's a beautiful way to put it. We talk a lot about my friend Rachel Cruz says this quote, give a little until you can give a lot. What is your view of giving while you're broke? Yeah, I think it's a great verse. It talks about like, you know, give joyfully, like God loves a cheerful giver.

If you want to give a little, that's great. If you want to take a wild risk, give a lot. But just starting the seed of generosity in your life will be really powerful, you know. It's more about creating the habit. Yeah, yeah. So get the number, the percentage out of your head, give with your heart. And just, yeah, don't think that.

like, you know, you're a bad person if you don't give. If you don't want to give for two years, heck, you don't have to give. No one's going to come and arrest you. It's just, it's a joy, you know? I think you should start like a Jimmy Dar's police and they arrest you for a lack of generosity. That might be a little aggressive, but... I'd be the first one to sign up. That would not be good, actually.

You'll be a deputy? Yeah. All right, all right. I'll be the chief arresting officer. You need to be a taser. Yeah. Anytime someone's stingy, we just, citizens arrest. I love it.

You know, you do the kindness test. We just lock them in that. that free scream room. Yeah. Have you ever tried the anger test where you go like see who has the most instant road rage? Because that's who really needs the hug, Jimmy.

Yeah, well, I thought about launching a clothing brand called Mean People Need Hugs. But then I thought about it. I was like, that could leave a lot of black eyes out there if the people are hugging the mean people. I've always been scared to hug the guy. Road rage. I am shocked about Road rage. I'm a decent driver.

I'm not the best driver. But I'll say, you know, living in California, I probably get maybe five, six middle fingers thrown at me a week. If only they knew, they were talking to like, you know, our generation's Mr. Rogers. They would change their tune. People must not bite other people. Well, Jimmy, before we wrap, I want to talk about your kindness challenge cards because you're trying to inspire others to be generous in their own way.

So what's the deal with these cards? Yeah, it's just, you know, people always leave comments, oh, I want to do what you're doing, Jimmy, or with my kids, we'd love to do it, but we don't have the money to go get $500 or whatever. I partner with this company called Adventure Challenge. We got a bunch of people together. We're like, how can we make cool cards where a family can scratch it off? And it'll give them a kindness challenge that doesn't cost $500.

But it's just creative. So it might be like go to a laundromat and get $10 and quarters and just give them out to people that are doing their laundry. Like you'll be shocked how many people's day is made and our ball in their eyes out from that and just get to experience that kind of like I did as a kid. It's called the kindness challenge. There's like 30 different ones. And they start with there's like 10 challenges for strangers, 10 for friends and 10 for family. So for me, the stranger one is the easiest because I don't really get nervous around strangers.

But if it's like call your second cousin you haven't talked to it a month on FaceTime and like tell them why you love them, my heart might be beating out of my chest. So if you get through all three levels, like it's going to grow you a lot. It's going to be really powerful. So it's called the kindness challenge. It's cool. Give it a look. You're always doing kind things for other people.

What is the kind thing we can do for Jimmy? Oh, my heartbeat. I thought you had like a Toyota van for me outside. And Jimmy outside. Oh, day. You get to have Dave Ramsey's car. He doesn't know yet, so don't tell you. I'm good with the Honda, but.

What is the thing that, like, really means a lot to you when someone does this thing for you? Are you an acts of service person or what? We went to the game yesterday. I was happy you came. I'm a Vikings fan now. He supported my team. That meant a lot to me. All I knew was cheer when Jimmy cheers.

When Jimmy's happy, I'm happy. So, yeah, yeah, you know, like you said, you know, I'm a person. pretty nice guy. I like to be kind, but you did see a little aggression come out. You know, at the game, I did have a little savage comment for the family in front of us. This cute, beautiful family, it was the Titans family. They were Titans fans. And I was the Vikings. They turned around. They said, could you take a family photo of us? And I said, sure. And right before the game started, I snapped a picture, and they were all smiling. And I handed the phone back. And I said, this is probably the last time you'll smile today.

And I went up, that's Jimmy's dark side right there. And the little girl started crying. We had to console her. We gave her 500 bucks. No, no. The good thing is they kept it close, so I think they had some moments of joy throughout the game. Oh, yeah. They had a great time.
