Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello and welcome to Get Sleepy. The podcast where we listen, we relax and we get sleepy. I'm Thomas and I'm your host. The goal of Get Sleepy is rather simple, to help you fall asleep easily and naturally. How it works is also pretty simple. Each night, choose an episode and get cozy into bed. I, or one of my friends, will tell you a relaxing story designed to help you settle and quiet your mind. One night we might embark on a long winding train journey through snow-capped mountains in the French Alps.

We might even travel all the way to outer space and float waitlessly past our neighboring planets. Or sometimes we'll stay local and enjoy the pleasures of everyday life, like a trip to a cozy bakery on a rainy autumn day. No matter where we go, or what we see, don't worry if you dose off to sleep. I promise we won't take offense. In this day and age, many of us lead busy lives filled with notifications and distractions, challenges and pressures. It's easy to feel
Starting point is 00:02:08 like we're stuck in a loop that continuously demands our attention. In fact, the first moment of quiet we have all day might only come when we get into bed at night. It's no wonder a racing mind so often keeps us awake. What we need most is a space to transition, to break out of that continuous loop and power down our minds. By listening to Get Sleepy, you can create a healthy ritual that honors this transition and encourages calm and relaxation.
