Me and the team really appreciate your support.
The trail branches off a road which is tucked away in the forest.
There are few who ever come this way and few are still who leave the road itself and head
down the narrow dirt path on foot.
But for the lucky ones who find this hidden spot, wonderful things await them at the end of the trail.
Today is the day you'll venture out.
Already, your mind is filled with anticipation about the relaxing time you'll have at the spa.
So you take a deep breath and then step onto the trail.
All around you, tall trees loom overhead.
Their branches are thick and tangled, making it hard to see the sky.
Occasionally, you cut chicklimps of a distant patch of blue through the canopy.
You imagine it's a lovely sunny day outside the protective embrace of the forest.
Here, it's shady and cool with a light breeze.
The forest feels like its own protected ecosystem.
The thick greenery above keeps the temperature of few degrees cooler than it would be elsewhere,
and a certain dampness seems to linger as though rain is never too far off.
The ground is covered in pine needles and other plant debris.
White, gray and brown rocks dot the landscape.
The occasional boulder appears between the trees.
In fact, you're approaching one now on the right side of the trail.
It looks as though it tumbled to this spot from some enormous far off mountain. Or perhaps a giant tossed it here, like something out of a fairy tale, you think with a smile.
It seems almost out of place, and yet, the way the moss has grown up its rough sides, and
covered it in a soft blanket of green, makes it appear to be in perfect harmony with its surroundings.
Walking on, you come to a fallen tree.
The thick and gnarled trunk lies at an angle across the path. You step over it carefully, being sure not
to tangle your clothes in the tiny branches poking up from its side.
Here in the forest, you feel as though you're in an ancient place.
You think of all the years the trees have stood here.
How many ages the rocks have watched pass by?
There's something humbling about standing amidst such old and pristine nature. You realize how much time has come and gone before
you got to this place, and how the forest will continue long after you've left.
It's also reaffirming to know your part of something larger than yourself, understanding
that there is a grand world out there, and you are a tiny, yet unique and significant
spec within it. You continue on considering boundless ideas of time and space as you enjoy the comforting
crunch of the pine needles beneath your feet. With every step you take, you immerse yourself farther in this special forest. You travel deeper into
the trees, enjoying how the refreshing greenery surrounds you on all sides. There's a thin stemmed plant with fan-like leaves that stands about as tall as you.
It's a bright, fresh green that reminds you of a spring morning.
The dense pines are a darker shade that makes you think of winter, snow and hot chocolate.
Delicate plants appear behind the occasional tree trunk or stone. Intricate patterns, spots, stripes and random splotches.
After a while, you reach a meadow where bursts of wildflowers fire for your attention in
every direction. Vibrant reds, oranges, pinks and blues fill the green space.
Every time the breeze picks up a little, the grass flutters, shimmering gold. You could easily spend the next several hours lounging about right here in the meadow.
It would be the perfect spot to lay out a picnic blanket and read a good book.
But still, you're curious to see what you'll find at the end of the trail.
So, you keep walking with the beauty of the wild flowers lingering in your mind.
