Starting point is 00:00:00 Jake, I don't think I mentioned it last week, but I got a new truck sort of. I do not think you mentioned it because you pull up to my house and I thought to myself, oh, that's a new truck. That's a new truck, but it is a very old new truck. It's a it's a beater of a truck. 2003 Silverado that kind of was gifted to me by my aunt. And it's fine. It needed a lot of work and I got a lot of work done to it.
Starting point is 00:00:21 And it's plenty workable and trustworthy and everything. But it's nothing nothing to write home about. that's the kind of used car you want one you you get and you immediately have to put money in yeah that's what people want in a used car yeah it's like it's like this isn't trustworthy at all right now so i need to make it trustworthy but i'll put enough money into it yeah it's like acquired taste yeah like you spend enough time enough money trust me you're gonna like it after the you know 15th try eventually like you're gonna hate it for a while but then then you're going to love it. No, we just, we decided minivan was the right purchase for everything.
Starting point is 00:00:50 And I don't need a nice truck anymore because I don't need to drive my kids around to Texas with it. So got this truck really like I'm excited about it. I like an old truck. It's kind of fun. It sounds good. It does. It has a nice purr to it.
Starting point is 00:01:01 If you close your eyes, you might, that was pretty accurate. Yeah. If you close your eyes, you might. I was pretty accurate. Yeah. If you close your eyes, you're like, that might be a nice truck. Yeah. It's at least big. It's really not that crappy of a truck, except for there was rust damage on the hood. And the previous owner just decided to like spray painted himself. And so it just makes it look so much crappier. And I just don't care. I'm like, yeah, fine. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:01:24 That's great. That's how I was with the old Camry Newton. I was'm like yeah fine go ahead that's great that's how i was with the old uh camry newton i was just like yeah the paint's chipping off but like this isn't a car that i'm like hanging on to to resell right you know this is to get me to trey's house and that's it like my i just need function right now that's all i need i need it to hold wood in it and that's all and it's doing great uh so anyway somebody actually at sonic the other day like this worker was like dude that hood looks awesome and i couldn't the other day, like this worker was like, dude, that hood looks awesome. And I couldn't like, he seems so genuine, but I was like, this guy's gotta be messing with me because it looks so trashy.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Like, but I just don't care. Like you need him to like, say a few other compliments to try and figure out if he's being serious or not. Like, dude, I love your body. Okay. Okay. I get it. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:02 You jerk. Blue coconut, sparkling water. I'm trying. All right. But, but no, he was like, he was like, did you do it yourself? You do that yourself? Like, and I was like, no, like the guy before me did it, but yeah, like he's like, it looks really good. It looks really cool. What kind of spray paint? What's the color combo on that? And like, and like the Sonic right down there, it makes me kind of think that maybe he was telling, like, maybe he was being genuine with me. Like, like yeah it's not the best workers there you know like like he's the kind of guy that would like uh spray paint job is it the sonic between our house yeah houses
Starting point is 00:02:33 that sonic is surrounded by other like automobile dealerships that's just a place you talk cars you just talk cars you talk cars let's mostly use car dealers that go in there so he's just used to like that's how i get my tips is I just talk about the mufflers. Yeah. Spray painted hoods. Anyway, all I'll just say, what are we talking about? I was driving down the road today and I saw Catherine and the kids, they were taking, she was taking Hattie to a mother's day out and I got so excited to see them.
Starting point is 00:02:56 And so I lay on my horn and like push down on the steering wheel. Nothing came out. Oh, so I went from having the blanks. Yeah. The wimpiest you know uh ford horn what did it sound like it was like no that wasn't that wasn't even it that was that sounds more that's that's not accurate accurate depiction it was more like a i don't know something like that and this one i just don't have a hood or i don't have a horn
Starting point is 00:03:21 i'm sorry you got a good i got a great hood yeah i don't have a hood or I don't have a horn. I'm sorry. You got a good hood. Yeah I'm circumcised. Sorry You always take it there. I don't know. I Don't have a horn and that's all I want to say It's just off to the side Up the side. Okay. Okay. Okay. Not the side. All right. You don't have a horn. Is that the, that's the point of this opening bit?
Starting point is 00:03:50 The point is, the point is I don't have a horn. What else do I do? That's okay. Okay. Like, like, like either, either in an excited, like, Hey, I'm excited to see you. Like, I want to get your attention or like a, I'm really frustrated that way that you just drove right there. I'm going to honk at you. I need to do something here.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Either way. I don't, I don't have any way to communicate. You need some sort of artificial noisemaker or anything really just something to get their attention yeah like do i do i just open up my driver's door and just slam it really hard while i'm driving like on the highway like somebody like that could get their attention boom you could have your just text message come really loud that seems to get people's attention hey hey hey yeah katherine loves texting me while i'm doing the podcast like you know kath i i kept trying to like get off the phone we weren't even
Starting point is 00:04:29 sorry actually i need to stay focused all right the horn thing and the horn thing um that is two podcasts in a row this week that my circumcision has come up what do you know um back to the horn thing uh some sort of like, I think the, that sound that's in toy stores where you turn it upside down. Oh, that thing. Yeah, you did it way better. Oh, yeah, that's great. And depending on which side, if you go low to high or high to low, it means I'm mad or hey, Catherine. Which one's that?
Starting point is 00:05:03 Hey, Catherine. Means come on. The light's green. Hey Catherine. Means come on. The light's green. Jerk. Yeah. Go. Obviously. What about just like,
Starting point is 00:05:11 uh, I don't like, like just, just stick my head out the window and saying, Hey, either way it works. Or do I just, do I,
Starting point is 00:05:22 do I just get like a Bluetooth speaker? Do I invest? I bet it would cost $7,500 to like fix my horn. I bet I get a Bluetooth speaker for 50 bucks. And then just dealer's choice every time. Ping, ping, ping, ping, ping. Uh-oh, ooh, I think this tight beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts and white meat too.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat. So come along, let's have some fun and go ahead, get on your feet. Cause it's the Ghost Runners Podcast. Every Monday morning we're taking round. Ghost Runners Podcast. Ghost Runners Podcast. All right, this is episode 127 of our favorite podcast. Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:05 This is the ghost harness podcast. Thank you guys for listening. Especially our favorite. Especially our favorite. Okay. Put my stamp on it. Good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Uh, we both had some fun weekends. Brad, you were back at McLean's market slinging some cutting boards. And by slinging, I mean, I sold like five of them this time. So not as much of a sling.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Not as worth it. Maybe it was, yeah, it was, uh, it was a weird experience dude because so the shawnee one like i sold a decent amount like i sold enough to be like i made a substantial this is a different location that's right different location this is like the waldo one that's like the original mclean's and i think there was probably not even exaggerating 10 times as many people there oh so, so I have no idea what happened.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Like I, like it was, it was a weird setup and it was only two hours and it was on Sunday, but there were so many people that came through and I don't know if it was just like families were more excited about going and actually eating the food. Like, I don't know if the other vendors did better than I did, but like I,
Starting point is 00:07:02 because I was on, it was only me and another, you know, last week I was spot one, but we were all in the same area this time i was like spot two spot one and i were right by the front door which you think would be a great spot you would think and then everyone else was around the corner like in this main area and so i don't know i don't know what happened but i like worked hard again like getting there like setting it all up i had to leave the chiefs game early no with my friends it was peter's birthday so we went over to the Chiefs game early. No. With my friends. It was Peter's birthday. So we went over to Peter's house. You left the Chiefs game early for this?
Starting point is 00:07:25 I left the Chiefs game like, yeah, like halftime. No way? Yeah. It was a four o'clock thing. And so I had to get there at three to set up. Jeez. So I had to leave to go take the kids home, you know, at 1.30. That just doesn't even seem like an option for me.
Starting point is 00:07:38 It was very close to being like, I'm going to cancel this thing. But I was like, if I can get in with McLean's, that'd be a great hookup. Because if they ever expand to another place and they're like hey we need people to build furniture yeah that's worth one chief's game especially the eagles we're gonna win that yeah yeah yeah we did fine so no puns yeah the mclean's thing was great uh it was fine i mean it wasn't great but um michelle from the ghost runners uh podcast fandom came and said hi to me, um, bought a cutting board. So shout out Michelle. Shout out Michelle. She's local or out of town. She's local, but I don't know where local. Uh, she came to the, I think you're local, Michelle. I should have asked you that. Uh, she came to the
Starting point is 00:08:15 basketball game. So I recognized her, but the funny thing, she didn't like say like, Hey, like, Hey Brad. Like she didn't like, like she said hi to me, but I was like, I recognize you. Like you definitely, you're definitely a ghostwriter like go see like but she didn't say anything she didn't address it i was like i was like what's your name again and she said michelle and i was like yes got it so shout out michelle good memory come in support me uh yeah i didn't i didn't promote it as well i didn't do all the things because i knew there was gonna be so many people there so i was like oh it'd be fine they'll sell it for me yeah and didn't really sell them but that's okay it's it's one of those things where he's got to throw some stuff against the wall
Starting point is 00:08:48 and see what sticks so um that's that's that's me that's my weekend nice glad you sold five cutting boards that's cool it was fine yeah so i uh yeah i was on the road trade i performed uh had our first like weekend of performing comedy like on tour in theater it's a little different than the comedy club vibe we've been doing i ran into so many ghost runners listeners and i was given gifts oh by certain ghost runners listeners i actually heard about one of the gifts uh that somebody was sending back with you okay they're like brad i think you're gonna like it a lot okay i got multiple gifts uh some i guess they weren't all from ghost runners listeners sometimes like this like middle school girl just wrote me a note no it's like oh thank you oh that would be my
Starting point is 00:09:28 favorite kind of gift i think i love notes i love words of affirmation it was a nice little note she drew me a picture there were yeah but she's like random little gifts almost every night okay um multiple choice give me three options i'll guess what the picture was give me the hand give me the right answer and two wrong answers okay they're all um no no never mind they're not all going to be that okay all right we have a snake a strawberry and a whale oh yeah it was a whale yep you're good you're good what was the whale for i really really like you no it didn't she's gonna drop it didn't come back into play in the okay i really like you i thought oh well i might as well go whale there's a call back yeah from one one year old hattie good times uh but the other gifts were i think in
Starting point is 00:10:20 ashville i met uh the people who listened to our podcast, started their own podcast. They were the ones that told me about. OK, yeah. What's your podcast called? Boy, Mom. Boy, Mom meets Girl, Mom. Boy, Mom. Boy, Girl.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Boy, Girl Party. It's definitely Boy, Mom, Girl, Mom. But I think it's Boy, Mom meets Girl, Mom. Boy, Mom, Girl, Mom meets each other. Yeah. Liz and Amanda. Hey, Amanda. They're both super Southern.
Starting point is 00:10:44 And I love it. Everyone in Asheville is awesome. They're the best voices. Hey, Amanda. Hey, Liz. yeah liz and amanda hey amanda they're both super southern and i love yeah everyone in asheville is awesome they're the best voices hey amanda hey liz uh they were at the show it was super great to meet them okay they gave me a baggie a pretty heavy baggie of things and i was like oh what is this and she's like we got you no i'm not gonna do the voice your very own amish jam she's like we got this from people like from actual like um amish amish country amish country country and it's actual jam uh but they had reprinted like the sides of it of the sides of the mason jars and it said like rum spring a raspberry no way and um what was it something something else with
Starting point is 00:11:16 blue i don't know whatever dude that's incredible so they're give this to me and they're like i hope it's not too much of a burden to like take home with you and i'm like oh my god burden no this is awesome this is amazing like why would that be a burden to like take home with you. And I'm like, oh my God, burden. No, this is awesome. This is amazing. Like, why would that be a burden? Like, I don't know. Just like maybe it weighs too much or something. Or I'm like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Yeah. I'm like, this would be great. And then last night I, you know, Trey and I have multiple flights in the morning. As soon as we get home, we go straight to Trey's house, record a podcast. I come home and I'm going to go top golf with Isaac and some friends. So I'm like running around getting my suitcase out. I'm i still have some clean clothes in here let's just grab from here real quick and there is rumspringer raspberry everywhere i'm like oh this is the burden she was talking about this is the burden you're like yeah i won't break i'll just i'll just wrap it in a
Starting point is 00:12:00 t-shirt i'll wrap it in the shirts that are like my nicest shirts that i that i was planning on performing in i was covered up in that no dude oh my gosh it'll be fine do you think did it was it the glass that broke or you think the pressure busted it uh i think it was i honestly didn't get a good look at it i doubt the glass broke i think still in there you cleaned it up no i cleaned it all up i don't know if you saw like my suitcase is over there and there's a febreze bottle and paper towels like all spread out over there um so it's gonna be fine don't feel bad liz and amanda i'll be all bear right but we we didn't miss out on jam we don't have any amish jam my clothes are gonna be fine but the jam was not safe i was excited whenever you said jam i was like how he's gonna love that dude yeah i was
Starting point is 00:12:40 fully planning on just donating it to you yeah because, yeah. Because you're not a jam guy. Not a jam guy. Space jam only. Jelly guy. So that was one gift. Okay. Oh, you got some more. Second one. Yeah. The other ones didn't spill.
Starting point is 00:12:52 So I'm able to show them to you. So, okay. This is a quick lesson for you. No liquid gifts. Probably not. And that was the issue is because I had to check it because the TSA has a policy on like, I think if it's like eight ounces of jam or more. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Specifically. Jelly's fine. Marmalade, but jam, no way. You would be shocked at what the Taliban can do with eight ounces of jam. Don't want to know. I don't want to look it up. Seven ounces of jam? Nothing. But eight? Eight ounces of jam. You might as well just get off right there. Duck and run. Yeah. It's not going to be good for you. Yeah. Four ounces of toothpaste,
Starting point is 00:13:23 shoes, or eight ounces of jam and metal metal just any metal having a watch on yep yep al-qaeda can do some things some nickels in your pocket yeah um having your laptop in the bag still oh no way do not let al-qaeda i mean you might as well just be planting an atomic bomb right there goodbye riding the mac mini uh anyway one of the uh i think it was the late charlotte show second show of the night uh was there yes yes uh back for more she's already been to a show but came to another one that's right and uh very complimentary afterwards she's like yeah it was you know it's fun to see it again i could tell like certain bits you guys had made stronger or got better so it's fun anyway i think i don't think it was a just jake episode i think it was an actual podcast episode we were commenting her because she found the connection
Starting point is 00:14:09 between megan and emily she's like this girl looks like this bright goes last week and i called her like a private investigator like p.i.d.l.b.l. or whatever and anyway meet her after the show and she's like i brought merch for you i was like oh this is great i didn't have any merch to sell so i'll just take this and turn a profit on it. You know, whatever. I'll just go sell this tomorrow night. Sorry, Brad. And she's like, yeah, I give you your own merch. And so this is what it is. It says Janelle Mignol P.I.
Starting point is 00:14:33 It's like, wow, you turn this around quick. That's incredible. I confused the magnifying glass for a pickleball paddle at first. Who wouldn't in your situation? Thank you. Thank you. Like just the obsession that you have. Like, yeah, is that a tee? Is that a golf, you a golf you know golf ball and a t you know like you're just obsessed
Starting point is 00:14:49 with certain things you're just like i'm just seeing it everywhere like is that a microphone like for comedy that's a comedy specific microphone eye on top of the eye so that was fun oh my gosh nice soft bella canvas t-shirt with her name on it no yeah yeah that's amazing janelle we're gonna get you a t-shirt with her name on it. Nellie. Yeah. That's amazing. Janelle, we're going to get you a t-shirt soon enough. I haven't done those yet. So that's my fault. But what do you mean?
Starting point is 00:15:12 Oh, like my merch. Yeah, whatever. Yeah. Yeah. Which something about that. Now that I've done a few shows and see what it's like in theaters, it kind of seems like I don't know if I can even like sell merch. Well, like it seems like I'm going to choose one or the other.
Starting point is 00:15:24 You need somebody. Absolutely. You need somebody. Absolutely. You need somebody. I kind of do. Cause it, it feels like I need to either choose talking and taking pictures and signing autographs with people or selling merch, like doing both.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Sell your own merch. Yeah. It just feels weird. And like, like they're in line, like, like I don't want to buy anything. I just wanted a picture.
Starting point is 00:15:39 And I'm like, no, that's totally fine. You know, like it creates this weird, like, yeah. And even don't feel pressure to buy this.
Starting point is 00:15:45 Just only do if you want to. But also you have to come to me for either. So. And if I'm talking to you, I'm losing money out. You know, that somebody else might be ordering something from us. So it was good to get a taste of what it's going to be like. I'm gonna have to figure something out logistically, like how this gets sold. Does Trey have a merch person?
Starting point is 00:15:59 Yeah. Oh, OK. I wonder if I could talk about this. I surely it'll be fine. You know what? Yeah. Yeah. Who cares? Hey, we only have like five hundred fifty six thousand right now. Yeah. We're short of six hundred. okay i wonder if i could talk about this i surely it'll be fine you know what yeah yeah who cares
Starting point is 00:16:05 hey we only have like 556 000 right now yeah we're short of 600 so uh that's the rule like 600 000 the taliban can like tell trey about it and everything this uh this merch guy kind of assigned to us by whatever there's so many companies and agencies and managers involved i don't know who does what but really i don't know who trey i don't know how he even knows who to text about certain stuff oh we need a last second hotel room i'll text maggie about that oh but this guy wants to work with us oh you text jack about that oh this is an issue for tom i'm like how do you keep any of this i don't know what trey knows like oh yeah trey does everything it's crazy or not everything but see like you would hope that or i would i would hope
Starting point is 00:16:41 if i were in his situation like ask xyz person about that like don't i'm not gonna worry about that it's shocking how much he handled i tell him all the time like dude hire an assistant what are you doing sure it's like but so are sorry real quick are most of those people there with you like all these just for kind of the first weekend i think like different people came out just to see it and be there manager jack was there maggie from wme was there she's the one sending you emails about the two of us. That's right.
Starting point is 00:17:08 OK. Also, was that thunder or was that a small earthquake? Did you hear that? I too did. I'm just kidding. I have no idea. I hope it's not thunder.
Starting point is 00:17:15 The weather app said it wasn't going to rain, so I didn't put one of my tables inside. Oh, no. But it was definitely cloudy outside. We might want to check
Starting point is 00:17:22 the radar, OK? I am going to check the radar for I feel it definitely looked like it was going to storm right before we started recording this podcast there's nothing on the forecast for it okay what are you what i have says rain starting in 44 minutes no it doesn't that's literally what it says verbatim rain starting 44 minutes what half is that accu weather weather channel there's nothing the radar looks fine there's not even a percentage there's not even like a 35 percentage. Oh, I guess we'll see who's right. Stay tuned.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Mine says 45% chance of rain. That's crazy. We have the same same Internet. Same technology. Yeah, 45% chance of rain. Whatever. I don't care. It's like a table I bought off Facebook marketplace because I'm going to flip it.
Starting point is 00:18:01 So it's fine. OK, what am I talking about? Get in. I'm in the middle of talking about the merch I received but real quick pot bookmark merch guy yes he uh right off the bat we were like oh i think this guy's a little different than us like maybe a different um type of guy uh which is fine you know like he opened his bag to like they had like random stuff in and we just see like a couple you know cases of jewel pods in there like okay that's fine and then he got back on the bus i don't know enough about jewel pods i didn't know you needed cases of them he uh got back to the bus
Starting point is 00:18:33 one night and kind of like reeked of weed it's like okay and like i just don't know if this is the best representation of trey's brand probably like he's selling so you're saying he's looking for a merch guy so honestly hey hey hey hey i'm gonna be like that like uh ugly you know ugly bridesmaid that all of a sudden becomes the bride that's not really how it worked but whatever like the person that's like well jake has mono at the last second i guess i guess i guess i could perform oh trey's got bronchitis ah okay i guess i can sing you know and so that was kind of already like a thing in our minds like this merch guy's kind of like i oh, Trey's got bronchitis? Okay. I guess I can sing, you know? And so that was kind of already like a thing in our minds.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Like this merch guy's kind of like, I don't know. He's like our type exactly. And then Trey texted me this morning. He said, he said, quote, just an all-time post from a merch guy. And this is this dude's Instagram story. He said, he put up a post of like Trey's like tour schedule and said, touching base real quick with the TL before I go incoguito again.
Starting point is 00:19:27 Which is a great word. And then at the bottom of it, he tags Trey, which he clearly doesn't care and is not cognizant at all of representing Trey's brand. He says, ripping gigs with Trey Kennedy
Starting point is 00:19:41 the next eight weeks. Ripping gigs. Ripping gigs. Crushing iPads and ripping gigs.rey Kennedy the next eight weeks. Rippin' gigs. Rippin' gigs. Crushin' iPads and rippin' gigs. I love the phrase rippin' gigs. Goin' incog-weedo on it, dude. Incog-weedo, so. I like incog-weedo.
Starting point is 00:19:53 I know, it's kind of nice. I like incog-weedo and rippin' gigs. Is incog-weedo like smoking weed, or is it incog-weedo like he's from the Jersey Shore? I'm gonna be in East Coast New Jersey. Incog-weedo, huh? Me and Sn Jersey Shore. I'm going to be in East Coast New Jersey. I'm going to be in Cog Guido, huh? Me and Snooki. How's your mom? Next couple of weeks.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Don't text. Don't call. Don't text. In Cog Guido. Polly D. Polly. Okay. Anyway, one last gift I got also from the Asheville show.
Starting point is 00:20:19 These girls, they were ghosties. I think they might be college students. Either way, they were like, we were at a thrift store yesterday. We saw something. We had your name written all over it wanted to give it to you it's this book here that says golf is my life with it's just token white dude on it subtitle glorifying god through the game oh good so it's just a so is golf your life or that it's a little sacrilegious golf is my life but, but not totally. Yeah. Golf is my life. What Bible verse does it say that you should devote your life to golf?
Starting point is 00:20:50 But wait, Brad, it is signed. God bless. God bless. John Decker. We got John Decker's sig on here. I haven't flipped through it a ton. Ted's brother. Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:01 They write slightly different genres. I started reading it to isaac last night before bed and he fell asleep pretty quickly but that's sweet um from what i have flipped through did you stay in the bed with him just to make sure he was like really fast asleep yeah isaac i okay i guess he's okay oh i just saw the word twin towers in here okay where we get maybe they're talking tsa jam juice the twin towers have now been replaced by the Freedom Tower, a symbol of America's resolve and resiliency to rebuild what evil intentions tried to take
Starting point is 00:21:30 away because of more than eight ounces of jam. That was full circle. That was crazy. The girls said they flipped through it, and they said the only thing I remember is the metaphor was, your golf ball is just like the disciples, which makes no sense to me because I got a hundred percent.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Get it. Go ahead. Jesus had 12 disciples. You use one golf ball at a time. Do I do? Oh, you're just playing. You're playing skins.
Starting point is 00:21:56 I see do see bingo, bingo, bongo. Yeah. I was like, wow, what a terrible, well,
Starting point is 00:22:02 scramble 12 man scramble, 12 man scramble. That's what 12 man scramble means. And then eventually you Well, scramble. 12-man scramble. 12-man scramble. That's what 12-man scramble means. And then eventually you lose one of them. You only finish with 11. So I don't even... I mean, this is 250 pages. How do you get into
Starting point is 00:22:13 glorifying God through the game for 250 pages worth? I don't know. I think that those kind of books... I remember somebody one time gave me... I was really into the TV show Lost and they were like, finding parallels between Lost and the Gospel.
Starting point is 00:22:24 And it's like, these shows are never a good idea. Or these books are never a good idea. Yeah, probably not. But played golf today. LukeHoglund.com and I took down Peter and Isaac. When you hit it, did you hit in the water ever? Because, you know, sometimes Jesus ends up in the water and he's just fine.
Starting point is 00:22:42 You don't have to whine when you get in the water. Just walk all over it. Just walk straight through. You know, Jesus walked through the desert. Sometimes you're going to go through the desert. The sand trap. The sand trap is your desert. You're standing there and you're like,
Starting point is 00:22:56 how am I going to get out of this situation? I might be here for 40 days. But guess what? If you're also fast, don't stop at the pro shop. You don't need that Snickers bar. Keep going. You'll learn need that Snickers bar. Keep going. You'll learn. You'll learn that if you stay on the fairway in life, it's a lot easier. The devil's going to pull you. He's going to try to, you know, pull you to the rough
Starting point is 00:23:13 cart path. Yep. But God, but God, but God, you hear me? My favorite little word, that big old butt, big old butt. People love making that joke. Oh, that big old butt in scripture. My favorite word in the Bible is butt. Yeah. I like big butts. But hey, I'm here to say it's great to get your mortgage through LukeHoglund.com. It's great to have your golf partner be at LukeHoglund.com.
Starting point is 00:23:39 We are undefeated. I don't think we've ever had to pay for a meal together. Got a little Panda Express from Peter and Isaac today. Whoa. It got so bad that Peter and Isaac played their own mini game within the scramble They were losing by so much and then they're like alright new game for us Whoever's like ball we use the least amount for the last four holes. They have to pay for everybody's lunch Who's that Peter's idea? I'd had to have been I wasn't there
Starting point is 00:24:00 But it's a textbook like you've been a camp counselor for eight summers It's a yes, this race is going poorly, counselor for eight summers. It's a, yeah, this is going poorly, but it doesn't have to be. Let's make a new game where it's even. So that was fun. Um, speaking of Luke and Peter,
Starting point is 00:24:13 I, you know, try to buy a house. Yeah. I put my first ever offer on a house blind. I don't know what they call that. It's just blind. No blind.
Starting point is 00:24:20 No. Yeah. Like spades. I went blind, blind, half mill, uh, last week on the very first day of the tour. Like the night before the tour, I'm at Colin Peter. It's like 10 PM.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Yeah. And he's like, can you get me your pre-approval letter? So I'm texting Luke doing all this. I'm like, I don't know if this is when I should be doing all this. Morning of the tour, we put the offer in and all this and got outbid by like $20,000 in all cash. Oh, so you're, you're right there. Almost. Yep. Pretty much had it. I think you need to, did you put a personal letter in? by uh like twenty thousand dollars in all cash oh so you're you're right there almost yep pretty
Starting point is 00:24:45 much had it i think you need to did you put a uh personal letter in with your picture i did i included a hand-drawn picture of a whale but i know words though i tried to let the whale do the talking i think uh maybe not hand-drawn maybe just a picture of you in a whale's tail uh i think that will seal the deal no we did that we put a picture of us and like kind of explained that we were like a family and stuff oh you told your story yeah and it i don't know if i haven't i have to compete against families they're gonna destroy me if i go the sentimental route i think but i think you go either funny and or celebrity card celebrity card kansas city there's not many celebrities dude you say hey i'm kind of a big
Starting point is 00:25:25 deal your house will be featured in videos in podcasts for 556 000 people every week yep i think that's what you do okay and a nice little picture of me and isaac and harrison i think so yeah yeah like yeah i'm mentoring these guys trying to get them out of the sand trap yeah you know what i mean you get it you john decker john d that's fun dude i uh well sorry yeah so so you got outbid so i got outbid but i do have a t-shirt and a book so i'm not not empty-handed yeah and i got a bunch of jam in my suitcase are you starting to feel a little nervous yet because i know you're trying to move out by december i still have like a month and a half and right after golf today peter and isaac they're awesome like they went to look at a house for me just now that's what they went that's why isaac isn't here yeah
Starting point is 00:26:11 that's what like uh on sunday isaac was like yeah i found a house like because isaac was also there at peter's birthday and they were talking all about it and stuff so i had heard that you got outbid already but they've been going together and uh yeah that's i left from golf back here because we had to record the podcast but they are uh house hunting for me and i'm just gonna keep the houses keep going to the market on thursdays and fridays typically and that's where i'm gone so i'm just gonna i'm gonna have to buy a house without looking at it that's crazy i've heard people do that like they'll like facetime their realtor like especially if they're trying to move from one city to another like it's like so hard they just have to like basically buy the house
Starting point is 00:26:44 sight unseen and sight unseen. Sight unseen, that's the word. I knew there was a term for it. I was like, it's either blind nail or sight unseen. One of those two, yeah. I'm unpicky enough to where it's like, I don't really care. If Peter says it's good, great. He's a level-headed guy. You trust him.
Starting point is 00:27:00 We've known him for a long time. Well, good luck. I have some bad news from this weekend, Brad. No. I stole something. I've never stolen anything in my life, I don't think. And I did it on accident. Sorry, Trey.
Starting point is 00:27:13 The stage? The spotlight? Yeah. Maybe. Maybe. But no, I stole barbecue-lazed chips and a Coke. Dude. From the airport.
Starting point is 00:27:23 From like the airport convenience store. What do you mean? How'd you? I just, I just walked in, grabbed them and then just left. And then I'm in an Uber. I had no idea. They were starting to chase after me. I was in Coguito.
Starting point is 00:27:35 I don't know. I've never been to Asheville. I don't know the rules. Yeah, I'm in the Uber 30 minutes later. I'm just like, oh my gosh. What? I didn't even, I didn't even think about, it didn't even cross my mind to pay for this.
Starting point is 00:27:46 I just walked in, grabbed it, walked right back out. Were you listening to music or like distracted by something else on the phone with somebody? You would think, no, no, I was. I don't believe you. I don't. Like, I don't know if I believe, yeah, I don't believe one half of the story either.
Starting point is 00:28:00 I don't believe that you just didn't pay for it on purpose or I don't believe you actually did this. I feel like I got a glimpse into the mind of people who are somewhat like, you know, absent minded or a little flighty. Yeah. I was like, maybe this is what it's like all the time. But because I would normally not consider myself that type of person, not like an airhead type person.
Starting point is 00:28:18 I was like, I don't know where I was for five minutes. That's like beyond airhead. It's criminal. Yeah. Like, like you imagine some guy being like like just holding a 42 inch flat screen be like i had no idea like you mean interviewed outside of a best buy what when did this oh wait i didn't know he's got like airpods in like i was listening to joe ro. It was an interesting episode.
Starting point is 00:28:45 I don't know. I don't know what happened. I just, I was, I was with my friend and we, I got hungry and I don't know. It's just, it's, it's a plasma screen. Yeah. Just like, yeah. You have a stroller with you. It's like, well, I was, I was riding it all around the store, making sure it rode well. And I just, I just kept taking it.
Starting point is 00:29:02 I don't know. I folded it up. I put it in my trunk. I got home and all of a sudden I was like, oh my gosh, I didn't pay for this. I had a hard time pulling it up because it was the first time I'd ever used this thing. Oh man, that's too funny. So yeah, that was kind of a bummer. I just stole chips and a drink.
Starting point is 00:29:15 I owe the Charlotte airport like five bucks. No, you owe the Charlotte airport like $18. It is expensive. Yeah, it was crazy in Philadelphia. Like I was like, oh, I just need one little like a water. And yeah, it was like, okay, that'll be 550 Philadelphia. I was like, I just need one little like a water. And yeah, it was like, OK, that'll be 550. And I was like, bump this, dude. I'm putting it back.
Starting point is 00:29:30 It's not even cold. Hattie's been really flighty lately, and it's super frustrating to Catherine. But I think it's kind of hilarious. You like it? Yeah, I like it more than Catherine does. Like oftentimes, Catherine will ask her to do like three things, which I don't know if she's there yet as a four-year-old, but like, yeah, she'll be like, okay, go get, you know, your socks and
Starting point is 00:29:49 your shoes and put this back on the hook and then come back in here. And all of a sudden as she's going like, oh, and don't forget, like, put that, bring that to your room too. And that's too late, too late when you do that. But yeah, the other day I was just like, she was done with breakfast. She's like, may I be excused? Yes, you may. Please take your plate to the sink. And so you picked up her plate, got off her stool and just walked into her room with the plate. And I watched her do it. I was like, and I see her go, oh boy, came back and turned around.
Starting point is 00:30:18 That's awesome. And then like, like Catherine, I don't think she's like truly worried, but I think it's like frustrating her. But, uh, the other day, like Hattattie just goes, I forget things a lot. So she's self-aware of it, at least. But it's just so funny watching her just struggle through things like that. That's kind of awesome. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:37 I like that. We've had some good times lately. I actually, yesterday, well, a couple of days ago, I told Hattie like i want to teach her how to like about money basically like i want to teach her like more strategically about like the bigger picture of like hey you need money to buy things things cost money you know all this stuff you need like this you can make money different ways whatever but like the first things first we have to teach her how to actually count her money gotcha and so i was like how do you want to count our money together and then uh we can take our money and buy something with it.
Starting point is 00:31:05 She was so excited about it. Yeah. So we like counted out, I taught her how, you know, four quarters in a dollar, whatever, all that stuff. We counted all out. And then yesterday we went to Barnes and Noble. Cause you really want to go to the bookstore that has the escalators. I love nobes.
Starting point is 00:31:18 Yes. She was just so pumped to go. And I hadn't been there with her. So she was like, show me around. She's like, that's where the curious George stuff is. You know, that's where the curious george stuff is you know that's where dr seuss is that's cool this is where all the toys are and so yeah it was kind of fun like literally like she wanted like three different things she wanted curious george book something called kinetic sand which you would love jake oh i don't i don't know exactly what it is but it's like this magic sand stuff that kids have
Starting point is 00:31:42 these days and some like little mouse figurines and i was like how do you can only choose one of those things like you and she had a hard time like she went back and forth and then finally like when we're checking out she's like i think i'll have to work harder to make some more money to get something else now we're talking yes yes my little capitalist mclean's this sunday two hours no she literally was like like when we got back she was telling katherine she's like yeah i figure i could go out and help dad make some cutting ports she gets it yes you can yeah we'll start your llc now we live in a free market right it was it was so exciting that is sweet oh yeah and i really tried to teach her because a couple
Starting point is 00:32:21 days ago she went with katherine to half price books which is like you know obviously like two like $2 thrift store kind of books. Yeah. And I was like, how do you could either get this one curious George book here, or we go over there and get like 10. And you know, she didn't, she, she didn't want to, she's like, no, I want to do this. I'm going to work hard for dang it. So she's not learning this, not learning that concept yet of like the value. Or I was like, you could just save. I was like, what if we don't pay, buy anything right now? And you can get that other thing you really want. That's like $25. Or I was like, you could just save. I was like, what if we don't pay by anything right now? And you can get that other thing you really want. That's like $25.
Starting point is 00:32:48 It's like, no, I want to get something now. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:51 We're not quite set up at a time. That's cool. I just Googled kinetic sand and that seems like it's worth saving up for. It's sweet. Pretty cool. I don't understand how that works, but it looks sweet. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:59 It's like, it like somehow sticks together, but it's still only when you want it to. Yes, it is. It's, it's pretty cool. It's kinetic. Probably. I don't know what that means, but it's not only when you want it to yes it is it's it's pretty cool it's kinetic
Starting point is 00:33:05 probably i don't know what that means but it's not potential anyway so yeah we had fun my i remember one time my dad and i did that like he's like i'll give you all the money in my coin you know bucket if you don't i don't think it's a bucket whatever it is box what's that thing like a bowl kind of and uh yeah we did that. And so my, my original thought, big Brad was like, we can count our money and then we'd go to Andy's together. We just wanted to go get a book. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:30 Okay. Catherine's a daughter. Right. So anyway, it was fun. Quality time with the girl. Baseball is finally back. Get in on major league action and swing for the fences with bed.

It's just getting soupy towards the end. It's not holding its form together. Soupy. Well, that's custard for you. Did you take it home? No. Ate it there. No. you take it home no ate it there no right there yeah yeah back to a concrete or something anyway went to 80s last night also went to top golf last night oh maybe i should i might i'm gonna text
Starting point is 00:36:14 isaac have him come down and help me tell the story i should be kind of fun um come down and help tell the top golf story we went to top golf last week with sammy i don't know if we mentioned that on the pot or not, but my favorite thing that I was thinking about again this week, our waitress was kind of funny. I don't really ever critique waitresses. Did we talk about this last week? I don't think we did.
Starting point is 00:36:35 I think I assumed we might bring it up, but I don't know. And then we didn't. We actually filmed a waiters and waitresses video last week. That's right. One of the things that Trey talked about when we were brainstorming was how how frustrated he gets when the waiter asked them if they if he needs more water he's like just fill up my water like if it looks low just get me some more and i didn't ever think about that and then i all of a sudden noticed this girl did that but then also she came up to us and she's like did you guys say something about uh what was it coronado
Starting point is 00:37:01 and we're like no what uh like like oh like are you guys from there And we're like, no, what? Uh, like, like, Oh, like, are you guys from there? And we're like, no,
Starting point is 00:37:09 like, I don't, is that in Kansas or like, no, it's California. Uh, my brother was stationed there for a while. Oh,
Starting point is 00:37:15 okay. And we were like, okay. And then like feeling kind of goofy. I had my, I had my driver out. You remember this? I don't,
Starting point is 00:37:21 I don't know. I feel kind of weird. Like she made it sound like he was like at the army or something. He seemed like he was still alive. I'll say that. Yes. Bias go, did your brother ever do anything like this? And I just smacked the ball just to high heaven.
Starting point is 00:37:34 And you kind of ripped it. It was like one of your best drives of the night. It's like now it's not as funny because you hit a really good shot. Right, right. I was just trying to be goofy about it. Did your brother ever see anything like this? And we died laughing. I don't even know if she really laughed.
Starting point is 00:37:46 She didn't really get it. She just kind of walked away and didn't refill my water. So water or no? Yeah, she was not a good waitress. But anyway, Isaac is down here. Hey, dude. What is up, Ghost Runners fans? Hello.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Hello. I was talking about Topgolf. And I was like, it'd be more fun if you helped tell the story last night. Our boy Taz. Yeah, our boy Taz. My boy Taz, really. Tasmanian belt. I love that you knew exactly the story.
Starting point is 00:38:10 Yeah, right away, I was up hitting and Isaac makes a connection with this guy. Yeah, well, so Jake was hitting. I was sitting down with these two girls. Their backs are faced to like the hallway of where the Topgolf employees are working. And so I can kind of see behind them i'm talking to him and out of the corner of my eye i see this guy that is in a security guard uniform just getting after it dancing and like maybe rapping he's just like he's really getting out and so i gotta make eye contact he's like right outside like the kitchen area he's supposed
Starting point is 00:38:41 to be a security guard um oh he's like working he's on the job yeah he's on the clock golf hired him to be like their security guard for a crazy you know tuesday tuesday night at top golf almost it was monday monday night at top golf um oh i've done since i've been back from vacations golf so i don't really have which is good though any time to think about it's good to when you haven't been working in a few days when you get back from vacation it's like oh i should probably rest in golf as soon as i get back before i start working yeah yeah self-care yeah yeah mental health awareness month i think uh anyway um happy sun's day by the way i saw your mom post about it oh thanks yeah did you tell bo happy sunset no it's because a sunset's stupid.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Yeah, you're right. I agree. A sunset's stupid. I didn't ask her to post it. I'm just teasing. Anyway, Taz is killing it. Taz is killing it. And so I make eye contact with him immediately.
Starting point is 00:39:36 And I'm like pointing at him, kind of like hyping him up. I'm like, I love this. And everyone's looking at me like, the girls that we're with and Jake, like, what are you doing? And this guy kind of like, I was like, come out here. And I was like, I don't know what I said to him. You're like, what are you doing? And this guy kind of I was like, come out here. And I was like, I don't know what I said to him. You're like, dude, you're killing it in there. And he's like, thanks or whatever.
Starting point is 00:39:50 You would go viral immediately. He's like, man, if only I had a camera in front of me. And I was like, I got one right here. And he's like, no, no, no, no. He's kind of like looking around, too. And he walks off. And so we think that's the end of it. That was Taz.
Starting point is 00:40:04 He likes to dance he would go viral but not when put on the spot and uh about five minutes later now isaac is hitting i've got my back turned to where taz uh apparently makes his strolls and just real quietly and like really suspiciously he's like um how did he word it exactly he said something like they don't like it when i do this but i'm not supposed to plug my own stuff but y'all here on youtube and then walks away they'd be telling me not to plug my own stuff well you tell us on youtube and we were like what are you talking to us i kind of heard that and i was like i heard that he shouted himself out on like youtube or whatever i was like yo what is it like i want to find this i'm i'm hyped up i go i was so embarrassed what is it what is it and he's like
Starting point is 00:40:49 he's like keeps looking around like he's gonna get in trouble if you say he's like man keep it down low dude hey like who's watching yeah it's like why is this the most secret they're reading his lips like on the like security cameras or something are you trying to keep this away from yeah he just keeps looking left and right my thought was that he he had been working at top like top golf has hired him as a security guard before and he's constantly going up to different parties like yo follow me on youtube hit up my spotify plug tiktok you know never fold taz it's me and then they're like taz you gotta stop you can't be bothering these people just stop chain smokers are good it happens if it one more time, you're out of here.
Starting point is 00:41:27 That's my theory. He's just constantly looking around. They really don't like it. And so he keeps trying to tell Isaac the username, but he's saying it so quietly. You're a little dead. Yeah, you're a little dead. Didn't hear it from me.
Starting point is 00:41:37 Didn't hear it from me. No, Taz, I didn't hear it from you. Kev's saying, didn't hear it from me. I love that part. That's the only part we can hear, sir. What is the username? He walks away,'t we don't get it from him he just wants youtube like google or searching random things i think i might have heard can't find him so do you ever three minutes later he comes back around he like walks by us to go makes eye contact with me and goes
Starting point is 00:41:59 appreciate it man appreciate it i'm like what he's like appreciate it bro appreciate the sport i was like we never got it i didn't get it i didn't get it's like appreciate it bro appreciate the sport i was like we never got it i didn't get it i didn't get it and so one of the girls i think hands him the phone to like type it in do it he's like no no i can't touch it i can't touch it man they don't like it when i touch the phone he's looking around and finally he's like never fold. He's like, fold. F-O-L-D. Oh, fold. Oh, got it.
Starting point is 00:42:30 Never Fold Taz. I'm over here typing faux like it's a faux pas. I'm like, E-A-U-X. I don't know what you're saying. Yeah, I'm sure that's it. It's probably from New Orleans. Yeah. And yeah, Never Fold Taz.
Starting point is 00:42:41 He's a big poker player. Yeah, Never Fold. Yeah, Texas Hold'em tips and tricks. No, Kirkball Christian Rapper. Yeah, Neverfold. Texas Hold'em, tips and tricks. No, Kirkball, Christian rapper. Okay. Neverfold. Neverfold, baby. Neverfold is my life.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Neverfold is my life. He actually, he co-wrote. He's a forward in there. That's right. He wrote the forward. Forward by Neverfold Taz. Oh, man. God through the rap game. And we checked out one of his songs,
Starting point is 00:43:04 and it did not line up with some of his other videos. Don't know how much of a Christian rapper he is. Pre-Salvation, maybe? Maybe. Maybe. Didn't check the date. Yeah. Didn't check the date, but had some vlogs in there.
Starting point is 00:43:15 We were hoping we would get a vlog of the time he was maybe reprimanded at Topgolf, but didn't see it. Have you ever noticed a security guard at Topgolf? No, I always wanted to watch. Like, are we sure that he's working? Or is he there to like gain some attention from some white boys and like have them like see if they can plug his stuff onto their 556 000 person podcast i don't know what the situation was but maybe he's just yeah just a conspiracy theorist yeah it was awesome those situations okay it's really funny how suspicious he was. I love using our very small influence to make a difference in people's lives.
Starting point is 00:43:47 So how about every ghost that's listening right now goes to YouTube, looks up Never Fold Taz and follows him. Subscribe to him now. If he's like, he's got 26 followers and all of a sudden he's got 126 followers. He would be so psyched. He would probably appreciate it. I mean, he came up to me and was like, appreciate your support, bro. Appreciate it, man.
Starting point is 00:44:03 I really do. I mean, it sounded from the heart. He came up to me and was like, appreciate your support, bro. Appreciate it, man. I really do. I mean, it sounded from the heart. He was grateful. And if you're ever at Topgolf and you see a security guard, be like, hey, are you NFT? Or is that somebody else? He's like, NFT.
Starting point is 00:44:14 Non-fungible token? No, no, no. Neverfultaz. I don't say fungible anymore. Free salvation. I don't say fungible anymore. And if you're wondering, is this the security guard that they described?
Starting point is 00:44:25 It probably is. Like whatever you're imagining is probably pretty close. Pretty hard to. Okay. Oh, that's fun. But that's Taz. Yeah. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:44:35 I wanted some help telling that story. It was fun. It was mainly funny in the moment, just how suspicious he was being. It was like Topgolf is such a relaxed, chill, fun atmosphere. And he is acting like. Like he's telling you like some conspiracy some government secret yeah you know that he he feels like his life is in danger to tell us and it was his youtube channel so that's taz thank you isaac hey um good to hear from you
Starting point is 00:44:56 guys again hey man appreciate it hey people have asked lately about uh harry and ike coming back yeah we have got a little buzz episodes left and right yeah and right. Yeah, you've been stocking them up. Yeah, we've been stocking them up to at least release them all at once. Because you ever watch a Netflix series? You're like, man, I just wish they wouldn't come out season by season, year after year. Just they all come in big. That's what we're doing. So you're welcome.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Actually, I don't hate that idea. Just 12 episodes of a podcast all at once. Harry and Ike. It's not a bad idea. $5 patrons. I mean, yeah, that's the life we live these days.
Starting point is 00:45:28 What? I sent you a voice memo. About the house? Yeah, because the video was too long. I couldn't send it. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:45:35 Right on. Thanks, dude. No, I got it. Okay. That's fun. Voice memo about the house.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Maybe we'll listen to that later in this episode how fun anyway never fold pass never fold i like that um thanks i filmed without you yesterday yeah i felt naked without my boys yeah that was just you and derrick yeah it was actually really fun you and d rock i texted you about it uh and i said the most fun part was just getting to hang out with derrick a little bit. Like never had I really spent any time with him one-on-one. And so, uh, it took longer than I think I thought I could,
Starting point is 00:46:12 I anticipated taking, cause we only had one video and it was a minivan dads, I think is what we're going to call it. I don't. Yeah. It was awesome. Yeah. It was fun.
Starting point is 00:46:20 It was, I think it's going to be more like, I feel like a lot of our videos, we have quote unquote longer jokes. And by longer, I mean like 15 seconds, you know, something like that.
Starting point is 00:46:30 I feel like a lot of these are going to be like quick, like three, five second, like awesome clips. So we'll see how it goes. It's more of like a, Oh, not every single thing is super funny.
Starting point is 00:46:39 It's just a lot of maybe relatable. Yeah. Relatable stuff. So, um, that's awesome. We'll see how it goes. But yeah, it was fun. Um, the most fun thing, I don't want to give away too much, a lot of maybe relatable yeah relatable stuff so um that's awesome we'll see how it goes but yeah
Starting point is 00:46:45 it was fun um the most fun thing i don't want to give away too much but i guess whatever who cares we only like yeah 556 but um i'll stop doing that joke guys okay uh but the so we went through the chick-fil-a drive-thru and i actually had this idea for the picky eaters one, I think, or some fast food thing we did one time. We didn't end up doing it. And, but it was this idea of like how the Chick-fil-A people know who you are. Like, so you pull up to the drive-thru and they're like, Hey, how you doing? Good to see you again. Uh, and so we're pulling up, we went to the one in Lenexa that our friend drew owns. And so, uh, you know, we're pulling up and we hear over to the left, they have two drive-thru lanes. We hear this like, Hey, how like, welcome to Chick-fil-A. My name's Derek. How can I assist
Starting point is 00:47:27 you today? I was like, okay, that guy sounds pretty cool. I bet our person's going to be cool too. And they just go, welcome to Chick-fil-A. My name is Mitty. How can I help you today? And I was like, crap, this is gonna be tougher to pull off. Yes. I was like, I was like, not, not that I mind, but it's just like, I hope she can understand what I'm saying. And so I'm like, Hey Millie. Um, and just explain to her what we're doing. So like, I'm just going to pretend like, do you mind just saying that again? And I'm going to say, Hey, it's Brad and the kids. And you just act like, you know who I am. And she goes, so what do you want me to do again? And I was just like, just, just act like, you know who I am. Just kind of go along with what I do. She goes, okay.
Starting point is 00:48:07 Just silence. And I was like, okay, so can you say the thing you say again? She's like, welcome to Chic Filet. My name is Millie. Can I take a name for the order? I'm like, hey, Millie, it's Brad and the kids. Oh, hey, how are you? And she played along perfectly.
Starting point is 00:48:22 I was like, hey, good. How did your science project turn out? Really good. Get her on the channel. Yeah, yeah, yeah. perfectly i was like i was like hey good like how how did your science project turn out really good get her on the channel yeah yeah yeah it's really good and so that was awesome and then she's just improvving with you yeah it was all like like i laughed at that i was like that we gotta end it right there because i can't i can't keep up with this how was your science project i was trying to think of like should i say something about like did you make jv whatever you know and then we pull up to the payment window and uh you know we're getting ready to pay and obviously derrick has this massive camera in the passenger seat and but the girl goes are you guys doing this with gene shorts comedy oh i was like yeah yeah you know who you
Starting point is 00:48:59 are and just like yeah i love you guys so i think her name's claire shout out claire shout out claire um that's awesome yeah and then also at mclean's uh the other day this girl woman and her like two three-year-old son were walking by and the girl goes oh you know that boy from the videos that we watch of him oh i was like first of all oh man yeah second of all no dude that's awesome what's happening so often for you yeah i don't it was almost like yeah and here i am just sitting here with no business no but uh yeah it's kind of fun dang that's awesome yeah i'm excited to see the video i loved the videos when i wasn't there when during when i was in hawaii the coaches video cracked me up
Starting point is 00:49:43 so much so yeah excited to see the minivans one yeah we'll see did you like the one that derek said over today the one about getting sick i thought it was awesome really liked it yeah i watched it like right when i woke up this morning same not trying to not trying to brag but i was like you know 5 45 so you too whoa really is that when he sent it he sent it that early or he sent it last night uh and so yeah i watched it early he sent it at 9 20 a.m what are you talking about he texted at 9 20 he emailed us last night oh i kind of stopped checking email you know it's kind of moved on from it yeah it's kind of outdated for me yeah i don't know it just goes too slow it is kind of amazing how email is like such outdated not outdated but like old
Starting point is 00:50:23 technology but yeah it's still so used today. Oh, I think we've talked about this before we were like going off on it. And it's just like how like sometimes it can be so hard to read. Like what's happening. It's so like confusing sometimes that's true. Like the user interface and just like, yeah, it is. It just, it just seems a little more formal than a text, but it's like texts are just the exact same thing. Just way better. Like just text me, you know? text me you know yeah so uh yeah it's just interesting how like every other type of technology that was around when emails in 64s were the big video game system when emails were around yeah no one's still playing those emails like web 1.0
Starting point is 00:50:56 stuff right it's crazy that hasn't evolved too much we're still using it yeah it's kind of it's kind of interesting and cool but at the same time kind of weird but speaking of email real quick i remember talking to like our tour manager tour manager tom right off the bat one of the i think the very first conversation i had with him he's talking to us about different stuff going on the tour he's so i asked him all right if we need comp tickets do those go through trade those go through you he's like they go through me and i was like text email he's like email definitely email and i was like okay got it email whatever so he's like so for instance like you meet a girl like at a bar like you like have a bartender that you really like you want to come to the show you email her to me like just being dead serious it's like i don't
Starting point is 00:51:33 think that'll be the case it's so funny how like i was thinking like a lifelong friend like a 15 patron or a 15 patron yeah but he was like being dead serious so yeah like if you meet a girl at bar 94 you want to bring her to the show yeah just shoot me an email all right that's that sounds like something i would do okay and it'll just say big just walk up to a girl at the bar and talk to her kind of guy yeah big go to the bar kind of guy go to the bar sugar around the rim and in the rim and underneath the rim and then uh take you back to the show later like i'm specifically asking for a dr pepper like that's what i want yeah yeah trey and alan don't they go to bed like right when you get off like is that is that how it's still going like are they still like i remember in phoenix they
Starting point is 00:52:14 just got home and went straight to bed it's not like you guys are having like crazy nightlife or anything no not really we we went out one night in like richmond tried to go to a speakeasy they wouldn't let us in like is there a password she's like no like did you really ask yeah yeah we're like no i'm not gonna fall for it i started uh knocking on the walls like i'm gonna find it she did not think that was funny at all i started looking through the books everything and i think this girl's just seen this before or something i don't know she was not playing did they give you a reason why they weren't letting you in uh she said they were all full which is a valid reason so she's like maybe
Starting point is 00:52:43 wait like 30 minutes come back uh manager jack goes in and plays like the la card like i'm this guy trey's this guy does this whole thing gets us in it works really get in there and it's so empty it's like 20 full and then they wouldn't let us sit at the tables they had like something against us i don't know what it was don't need to get into it but it was very strange i was like we should have a good time i don't know interesting but knock it on the walls maybe didn't help there's gotta be a password. I didn't feel like they had that much of good stuff
Starting point is 00:53:06 until I started national treasuring all over the walls. But it was like a really fun vibe. I don't know. I didn't feel like I was being annoying.
Starting point is 00:53:13 It was like, it felt funny in the moment, you know, whatever. That's interesting. What were we talking about before that though? I got us off track saying emails.
Starting point is 00:53:22 That's a good question. Dang it. Oh, filming with Derek. Email. Oh yeah, he emailed me last night. So yeah, I think it'll be a good one dang it oh filming with derek email oh yeah he emailed so yeah i think it'll be a good one i think it's gonna hit home to the parents obviously in the crowd like i don't know i don't know how i think ghosties will ghosties like our stuff no matter what it feels like but it feels like hopefully our fans that our parents will really get into this one and enjoy and relate to it so derrick i I was talking to Derek yesterday when we did correct opinions, he thought that our,
Starting point is 00:53:46 like our base of subscribers would really like it. Really? Yeah. Good. That was good. Good. Yeah. So anyway,
Starting point is 00:53:52 cool. Yeah. We had fun. Old, old Derek boy. He's, he's a cool guy. He's,
Starting point is 00:53:56 he's different. Like, you know, he's not from the same mold as the rest of us, but that's kind of interesting as well. Like, so just talking to him about his life and getting to know him a little bit better.
Starting point is 00:54:04 And he's a dad of two kids so he had some plenty of input yeah yeah which is always fun like i like like we always write stuff the three of us and then derrick comes and films it but derrick usually has some pretty good ideas uh-huh i'm like oh yeah like what about this and it's like yeah how do we think of that so anyway challenge derrick uh okay i want to i want to know more about the tour dude i have i have things written down but i i have questions yeah i have questions for you but i maybe you just talk about it freelance and then free free form if you want to okay whatever you want to do yeah i'll write off a few things break down first of all the shows i want to know that
Starting point is 00:54:38 okay first night was charlotte had two shows which is fun and uh same venue or yes we we stay in the same place same place uh the both shows were awesome that first show was especially crazy i don't know what happened but so i get off stage trey's right there and the first words he said to me he goes dude what in the world you got six applause breaks what happened and i go i don't know i don't know i've never had that i've only got like one or two of those ever before no way and i got like six in that first 20 minutes that's so i don't know what was happening because then none of the other shows i didn't do nearly as good by that metric you're right just that first charlotte show was just nuts dude and so that's awesome it was crazy i mean like this new joke that i wrote like 90
Starting point is 00:55:21 seconds into it like god like they they stopped laughing and just like applaud i was like this new joke that i wrote like 90 seconds into it like got like they they stopped laughing and just like applaud i was like this is awesome this is crazy here we go and you're the opener opener right no lucas goes first okay he does 10 then i do 20 then trey does okay set was he do like 40 ish with uh you know he probably does 40 minutes of stand-up probably 12 minutes of songs and you know there's like six minutes of video or something it comes out like an hour yeah um but yeah so that first show was just so fun and um yeah it was crazy the lucas announced me he said give it up next for jake shicklap like something almost that bad i don't know what it was it was pretty rough and then people in the audience corrected him and he's like triplet sorry sorry jake triplet um but he got it the rest of the time was he only in charlotte with you or was he no he's like with us for the tour he's our guy he's our opener so uh that was
Starting point is 00:56:10 fun lucas is a fun guy to kick it with but yeah the first charlotte show was just crazy i don't know and it was a couple like of the new jokes that i wrote they were getting like applause breaks like oh this is awesome like i have not even tested this material yeah you know which i guess shows that i'm getting better writing material like i just kind of know what will work and i knew that i knew that about you thank you yeah you said that last week it was very complimentary so it was just um in the moment it just felt so easy and a part of it was just like it's just because the crowds are bigger and then the more i thought about it i was like well maybe i've been like slowly working towards this my entire life you know maybe that's why it feels easy because it's like, I've worked hard at this and then you get to reap what you sow. Sure. So
Starting point is 00:56:48 maybe a combination of both those two things, but yeah, it was just really fun and almost nothing negative to say about the crowds or the shows or my performance. It was just a lot of fun and excited to do it more and was very shocked. We came out and did a curtain call and all four shows this weekend, we got a standing ovation. No way. And that is like, I saw you say something about that. That's crazy. It's gotta be the, one of the cooler feelings of my life. I just like, it's one thing to like, you know, it reminds me of, okay, so I can't stand this.
Starting point is 00:57:15 Maybe I've talked about this before on the podcast. Like when a worship pastor, it's like the song is over and it's kind of awkward and they say, give it up for God. Right. Give it up for the Lord. And it's like, okay, well you're the one on stage yeah but we're clapping now for god yeah okay okay i think you just kind of wanted to like feel some sort of like affirmation whatever it's kind of it's kind of an interesting thing just like all right that is the song um make some noise give it up
Starting point is 00:57:40 for god clap for me while i'm on stage but it's for god guys anyway that's like a moment where it's like it's kind of expected like they're gonna clap or whatever i feel like the curtain call to clap yeah it's more yeah a curtain call obviously they're going to clap you're saying thank you thanks for being here but standing up seems like you gotta want it to stand yeah i don't like standing i don't like giving standing ovations most i'm like are we doing this yeah i usually wait like 17 18 claps into it like okay okay the people in the balcony are gonna do it i guess i have to i can't see the stage anymore so yeah that's funny so it just felt like a thing like i don't think they feel forced to do this they seem like they are just so satisfied with this show and just such a great compliment it's
Starting point is 00:58:20 so flattering it's so just encouraging it's like wow i'm glad these people are coming away to be like i had a great time tonight it's fun and comedy doesn't seem like necessarily the like type of show where you like stand up at the end yeah i just wasn't expecting it so i also don't think that your comedy show is the traditional comedy show like and i think maybe that's why yeah they're standing because like wow we got a lot tonight because we've added so much if you get there make sure you get there at least 30 minutes before the show new tip for you guys whoa we got trivia it's kind of like when you get to the movies early and it's like before the previews there's stuff on the screen it's like i'm surprised how much i care about this yeah you
Starting point is 00:58:51 know like why am i so into this random trivia yeah but it's trivia from trey's videos and we've also made like videos that like we're just keeping they're just like in the pre-roll before the show so you get like a full two-hour experience that's awesome um so maybe that's why they're saying that's a good tip good tip get there at least 30 minutes early so yeah it was just fun charlotte was awesome are you gonna are you gonna be like is it gonna be hard for you when you don't get your first standing ovation come on seriously like not like like like not like upset with them but just like did i not do that well did something bad happen like yeah you know like like albuquerque is known for not standing they're not standers there's a lot of handicapped people in albuquerque just like spokane they don't
Starting point is 00:59:29 cheer for the opener right remember that story it was like you know those are spokane crowds spokane for you they only care about the headliner and they won't clap they're just notorious for not being very warm crowd yeah maybe just be funnier yeah i mean like you think that's gonna be hard like like mentally like not thinking about it you just sorry you set yourself i mean like you think that's gonna be hard like like mentally like not thinking about it you just sorry you set yourself up so like such high like so well the beginning kind of like the applause break thing like yeah for sure i got six it's like well why am i not getting these like because it's not normal to get six applause breaks probably you know yeah in 20 minutes and so yeah that is kind of a thing like ashville specifically was a much smaller room
Starting point is 01:00:04 quieter crowd and they ought to be in masks. Asheville is the most like liberal city I've ever been to. Really? It's like almost like they're trying to be like Portlandia. Like they're like almost over the top, like like the Asheville, which I'd always heard that when we were in the limo trip, they're like, oh, Ty and Kyle, you guys would love Asheville. It's like Portland of the East Coast. And that's what I've heard. And it is very much that vibe.
Starting point is 01:00:26 Like when we were, Trey and Katie and I were at this like outdoor coffee patio the day of the show. This guy comes up to us and he just, he bows to me. He says, Val Kilmer. And I go, what? He goes, Val Kilmer. You look like him. I go, oh, thank you.
Starting point is 01:00:43 And he hands me four books. And I said, oh, what are these? He said, these are some of my favorite books. I just wanted to pass them along to you. The top one, the only one I could see, it says like perfecting yoga. And I was like, oh, thank you. Val Kilmer is really into yoga. Yeah. Oh yeah. Then he explained at some point, like you look like Val Kilmer. I was like, oh, you could have said a full sentence instead of just saying, all right. So just bowing and saying. Yeah. So he goes, I am a monk and I wanted to give you these books. And it's like, oh, perfect. There's there's like hey three of us three books we'll spread them out
Starting point is 01:01:09 and we're like have a good one he goes well uh the nature of what i do uh i do ask for donations and then we're like ah here's your books back yep you can have the books back yeah in the middle of this the street performer down the street says, those books changed my life. Some of the best books I've ever read. Like, this is like a team effort. Like, they're all in on this together. Yeah. The business owner across the street opens up his door and he says, you guys talking about the books?
Starting point is 01:01:34 Those things are nuts. No, he's not opening the door. He's in Downward Dog as he's yelling at us. You know how I learned this? Perfecting yoga. Side play. Yep. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:01:44 That one helped a lot. It was just the most Asheville experience. Like when we get to the soundtrack, we had the sound technician, like what's your name? He said sunset. And the other guy's name was Venus. It was just so like,
Starting point is 01:01:57 so, so, so that that's so like countercultural to what I think of is North Carolina. It's kind of like Austin. It's the, it's the blue dot. Yeah. Yeah. Blueberry and the tomato soup. Sure. tomato soup sure yeah yeah so and i had heard it was
Starting point is 01:02:08 like that but it seemed like it was just trying so hard to be that trying too hard maybe yeah it was i meant to say this joke on stage and i forgot i'll say it now because it's hilarious um it's not but like it's good to be here we love being in nashville you know right by the smoky mountains seem guys seems like you guys like pretty much anything that's smoky you know i do like this yeah it's not nice just like you know they stand and ovate right there they would ovate for me i texted someone that um is that a word ovate that i got an applause break and it auto corrected to applesauce somehow and so couldn't take it on the plane with me or just float in my bag that's my new thing just like oh they were applesaucing me so hard like they throw tomatoes at you when you
Starting point is 01:02:49 do bad but they throw applesauce at you when they're like really satisfied like you were awesome tonight here take my grandma's applesauce recipe they want to get the juices out before they give it to you at that point like just take it now right uh so yeah i'm kind of bouncing around whatever obey is a word by the way it is having an oval outline or ovoid shape like an egg oh so it's not a verb but like pluto's uh pattern around us is slightly ovate slightly ovate i guess yeah you're talking about the dog pluto yes when he runs around the house uh okay so that's um i'm kind of bouncing around but yeah the ashville show also so i'd play to work with like i used the the monk stuff in my bit or in like my set that i talked about the
Starting point is 01:03:31 monk i talked about there was an amber alert because i remember spokane i got an amber alert and so i made all these jokes and it went really great so it's like sweet another amber alert and this one was way different yeah so i couldn't do the same jokes unfortunately i had to write new amber alert jokes but it is such a rough life you have, you know, because everyone just experienced this. It's like it's beautiful. And so what in the world does that sound like a husky? Oh, it's got to be Harrison. It's Harry singing. Harrison. Somebody asked in the comments, is Harrison doing OK? Yeah, I was like, I talked about him last episode. Yeah, he's doing great. He's fine. He just got a new car. He's in love love he's got a volkswagen yep he's got a passat i meant to make
Starting point is 01:04:10 a joke about harrison if you're listening i meant to make a joke about that in uh the minivan video but i forgot to i was just like scrolling back and forth up and down like as i'm driving like trying to find jokes and one of them was like talking to somebody on the phone like like going golfing like yeah we can take we can take, we can take the minivan. Like we can, how's all four of us. We're not gonna be able to go in your facade. Harrison. I was gonna be the joke,
Starting point is 01:04:29 but forgot to film it. So it's okay. He said, this is better than listen to us. Spotify. I'm just going to put my head on this vent. We can hear him super well. So I'm sure you can hear us pretty well.
Starting point is 01:04:41 Um, but, oh yeah. So this Amber alert, I don't know if you guys saw my post but this amber alert said uh amber alert polk county call 511 for more information so i went up and just did a bunch of jokes about how this is the least helpful amber alert of all time it might as well just said like a kid is missing that sucks yeah right you know or if you don't
Starting point is 01:05:01 like oh yeah download the app and then call us with it so i told the monk story about how this monk gave me free books that i had to pay for you know and now he's upcharging me this whole business plan going on and then i was like what i have to call for more information i have to pay for this who's texting me the monk you know and then they brought it back and yeah it was just it was a great like opener that's for asheville so i like that jake thanks yeah it was fun it's it's fun to write this stuff. I feel like I'm getting better at it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:30 And in the Richmond shows, those were the really fun ones because or the fun one, because it was like sixteen hundred people sold out. It's like that was when I did the tour for on Patreon. Like you should have everyone on Patreon back. So, yeah, it's massive. Yeah. You watch it. Yeah. It's just crazy.
Starting point is 01:05:40 It was like an arena. Yeah. It's just like underground. There's so much going on. It's like an elevator. Yeah. And it's just we all have our own dressing rooms. dude there's something about showering in like a theater it feels wrong it feels like i'm not supposed to get naked did you yeah do you feel like somebody's gonna walk in on me or just yeah i don't know it's like i'm not
Starting point is 01:05:55 supposed to get wet i'm not like no this is what to happen there's a thousand people here you know watching 30 minutes early trivia and i'm out here i'm drying off yeah yeah it was very strange to shower in these venues but i love it it's awesome it's a great setup i i guess i assumed differently about your tour bus that they would have a small shower or something on it but you said they don't have that half bath okay and do not ingest the water apparently okay i don't know i still brush my teeth with it yeah that's fine okay thank you yeah you. Yeah. So Richmond was awesome. It's cool. Just a ton of people were there, you know, which is always fun. If you guys remember the Greenville, South Carolina show, it's the only time this really
Starting point is 01:06:32 ever happened where two things happen back to back. One, my girl Brandy. So remember her name? Just like will not stop like whispering in my ear while I'm talking to this family of four. If that was an actual offer to come back to my place that Trey said during his set, like, no, it's just a joke. Please stop.
Starting point is 01:06:47 And then after that is when the security guard was working. They're like taken. Oh, like saying like, oh, the taxi is so expensive. Want to share? You know, he's helped me out. He's trying to hook me up with these two girls. I don't know if you remember that story. We're just like, are we good here?
Starting point is 01:06:57 I'm like, no, I'm not going home with them. Why are you in on this? He's trying to like, seems like you like them way more than I do. Yeah. Anyway, haven't had any issues with women until we were back just for the Richmond show. Everyone else has been very respectful. She comes up just very handsy,
Starting point is 01:07:09 probably a little drunk, just like all over me wanting a picture. I'm doing the Keanu Reeves, not even touching her out loud. She's like, his hands, not even on me. I'm like,
Starting point is 01:07:17 Oh, now it's the extra awkward. Yeah, it's not. And like, there's all these people around. It's so, I just,
Starting point is 01:07:22 I didn't like it. And then another, another use for big daddy. Yeah. Hey, talent please ma'am yeah so she leaves i'm like thank goodness um my girl our girl kelsey snyder oh yeah she was a huge ghostwriters fan she was in the just drink shirt and um she was watching all this go down so i was kind of getting some eye contact with her like you see how weird this is right right my girl comes back for more group picture now with her friends as her friends are kind of adjusting she's like snuggling in close to me she like turns her head and like pretends like she's like looking around behind us or
Starting point is 01:07:52 something but as she turns her head no no no she keeps saying like are you down oh she keeps turning around she's a kiss on the cheek or something no no we did not touch lips but she keeps going are you down are you down are you you mean like clinton and uh the boys oh i see you're saying i'm done boys are you talking about travis city yeah i don't know i was like i'm down to like i don't know get like a buffalo chicken pizza maybe you know i don't know what are you referring to but yeah that stuff just makes me wildly uncomfortable i think it's because of how public it is. It's just I. Are you down? Are you down? Why would you just. Where is your mother?
Starting point is 01:08:29 How do you. Is this how you act? Yeah, I would be like, buy some merch and then we'll see. That's what I should have said. Let's go in Coguito. See where this goes. So anyway, that was special about the Richmond show. OK. Oh, the Charlotte. This is also one cool special about the richmond show okay um oh the charlotte this
Starting point is 01:08:47 also one cool thing about the charlotte show uh caroline dodd was there i saw that yeah i saw a picture of a bunch of people and i was like that's caroline dodd yeah she was there and there were just a ton of ghosties at every show anyway she was there with ghost runners fans which is kind of fun they kind of blended right like that was what was so funny about it was like all these people and then caroline like caroline's somebody we know from k-life i dj'd her sister's wedding you know that so you have we actually talked about the sister's wedding on the podcast did we because like of caroline and emily i think did such a good job but oh made of honor yes yeah uh so anyway it was fun to see like a familiar face and yeah uh yeah i think that's basically all the the main updates it was just
Starting point is 01:09:25 it's so much fun and i uh yeah i think i i did really well trey's doing really well it's just a lot of fun yeah you know i just i uh i brought back on an old podcast episode i talked about acquired taste i've started doing a bit about that yes people are loving me just like hating on lacroix that's getting a big laugh every night it's like oh great easy enough there's a lot of people who also don't like this and um yeah i don't know i want to say it's just fun i'm excited for you i have some questions here um first of all just this might be too easy of a question but like what are some noticeable noticeable differences between obviously having 1700 people at a show versus 200, 300 people? Like obviously the the the laughter is different.
Starting point is 01:10:10 Yeah, it's louder. But like, yeah. Have you. Like like when you're when you're having a larger audience is a different kind of joke delivery at all. Like, have you changed anything up with that? The the laugh breaks are longer. Like it's not just louder, but they seem to go on longer, which is kind kind of fun you got to like slow down a little bit just kind of sit in the
Starting point is 01:10:27 laughter which is fun yeah uh crowd work's a little more difficult uh you just have to remember so it's like ask repeat and you know that it's like the first two like you have to repeat what they say because not everyone can hear them right so i've been doing a good job of that though like i haven't like been like oh shoot i keepting it. So crowd work's been going well. Yeah, it's just more difficult and it's harder to see people. Right. But three of the four shows I've called on a guy in the front row and his name has been Alan.
Starting point is 01:10:54 So I keep getting pretty freaked out. Like, how does this keep happening? And we got Alan backstage, but the pianist is backstage. It's the magician from Vegas, just like somehow like incorporating Alan Jacksonville. You think Jacksonville is a fluke? Watch this. this okay so we call it on Alan's a lot uh sorry I have a funny thing so in Kansas City we don't we we famously do not have tickets to your show and uh Sammy cool guy Sammy has front row tickets and so Sammy's like I'll give you those tickets if you want them but Catherine's like feels like uncomfortable like being in the front row of, is it literally
Starting point is 01:11:28 front row? I think so. Yeah. How would you feel? I know. I know. I almost want to be like, Hey, do you like person in the 10th row? Do you mind just switching the seats real fast?
Starting point is 01:11:39 I don't care if you guys are in the front row, as long as you promise not to like heckle you or anything distract you too much. Yeah. Yeah. It'd be hard not to. I don't know if you guys are in the front row as long as you promise not to like heckle you do anything distract you too much yeah yeah it'd be hard not to i don't know dude you won't i wouldn't you're right uh keep it pretty pretty easy going for you but no i don't mind because most time i'm performing i'm looking up you know in the distance i'm not looking in the front row it's just like i just know that you say like those are usually you'd only see like the first couple rows yeah and so there's brad there he is spread eagle right there uh that's funny yeah um yeah i just didn't know like yeah that's that's good about the laugh break so i'm sure were you nervous like did you find yourself more considerably nervous or anything like that i thought it was
Starting point is 01:12:18 gonna be more nervous i told my dad i think he asked me if i was gonna be nervous i'm like i'm not now but i'm sure for that first show i'm gonna be so nervous and then it came and i was just like i'm mainly just excited i think we've worked hard enough to feel confident to be nervous. I'm like, I'm not now, but I'm sure for that first show, I'm going to be so nervous. And then it came and I was just like, I'm mainly just excited. I think we've worked hard enough to feel confident to be like, it's finally here. Let's go out and kill it. Yeah. Someone caught my Instagram last night. It was kind of funny comment. Like didn't peg you for a run on stage type guy, which is funny to think. I did kind of laugh about you guys running on stage, but I think I didn't even question it. It was like, I'm so excited. Yeah. That's like, why would I not run? No, I've'm just so fired up yeah at first i i did kind of question it i was like that's kind of goofy that they're running on stage but then i thought like no like you're you're establishing that like you guys are
Starting point is 01:12:53 fun people this is gonna be a fun time yeah yeah i think it's i think it's great because like like if you walk out on stage it's like oh this guy's kind of too cool for school whatever like you know then you're all i don't know i think you if you run out on stage it's like oh this guy's this guy's goofy he's fun yeah and i try not to overthink it too much like what kind of vibe does this say it's just like i'm having fun i want to run i'm gonna get out there i'm gonna love it light jog i just love the idea of you like going way too crazy on like running out there like like pretend like you're like a football quarterback and running all over the place like like acting for more applause and everything like that but oh speaking of my instagram last night i kind of spoiled this it could have probably
Starting point is 01:13:28 been a pretty good podcast story but whatever the fact that two nights ago i ended my set thank you charlotte yes oh crap i mean ashville we've been traveling a lot i'm so sorry you guys have been awesome all right here comes trey oh god it not good. It had been a perfect set. It was such a good ending. Yeah, you said that like you were kind of, you weren't completely done yet, but they like applauded for you. So you're like, this is a great way to end, right?
Starting point is 01:13:54 Yeah, it was like an applause break, like 98% of my way through. So I was like, let's just end it here. Like they're already so satisfied, leave such a good taste in their mouth. And I think because of the like nature of like doing something slightly off plan, I was like, the last you know two months i've been prepping for the show and it's always or for the tour and it's always been charlotte because that was the first
Starting point is 01:14:12 show so charlotte's always in my head and charlotte wasn't even the night before we were richmond the night before i just totally botched it thank you charlotte thank you charlotte my name is jake shiflet get your jewel pods out in the front tray sell the jewel pods go to coquino oh man so that was a bummer so remember that southwest uh commercial where the guy's like thank you cleveland he's like dude cleveland was last oh i forgot about that want to get away like that was a good one that's exactly what you did yeah trey and i are tied one to one now he did it once in like connecticut okay that was my first time so i yeah i can't imagine you ever doing it again hopefully there's no way there's definitely a way because any given night there's like it's not just the city to remember it's like i always ask about
Starting point is 01:14:56 the suburbs i like connecting that now i got i got the amber alert stuff to remember i got like this guy in the front row i gotta remember his occupation because i'm gonna bring that back maybe and the answer gave you know so it's like a few different stuff every night, but the city, I should be able to remember. I'm totally kidding. I think there's absolutely a way. That's why I'm like trying to jinx you.
Starting point is 01:15:11 Like there's no way that you do that again. For the rest of your career. You'll never do this. I absolutely have full confidence that you will never do that again. I won't do it this week. There's no way you do it this week. Yeah. I might just say,
Starting point is 01:15:24 thank you guys. Thank you guys. Yeah. Why not? way you do it this week. Yeah. I might just say, thank you guys. Thank you guys. Yeah. Why not? Why? Play it safe. No, one's going to be like,
Starting point is 01:15:29 I like that guy, but he didn't show us out at the end. You're right. Why am I even taking this risk? Yeah. Especially at the end. Thank you. Take triplet.
Starting point is 01:15:36 My name is Charlotte. The secret lies with me. I have a web. Yeah. I know Wilbur the pig, right? I am Charlotte. Oh man. That'sbur the pig. Right. I am Charlotte. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:15:47 That's too funny. Thank you, Jake Triplett. That's what we started with. Thank you, Trey Kennedy. Jake Triplett's up next. Your name's Charlotte. Just like so like all of a sudden just like have a stroke. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:16:02 On stage. Sorry about that. Thank you, Amber Alerts. My name is Jake Tripllett and charlotte's coming up next alan you've been awesome and the penis was awesome next up guys we got two never before seen videos from john chris you're gonna love them guys sit back relax enjoy yeah you get it uh do you have any more questions oh yeah okay uh this is this is one that you might not have an answer to but i just i want to know more of the tour bus and so i guess the specific question is was there one perk of the bus that you didn't see coming so i'm sure there's things that are
Starting point is 01:16:34 like negative about the bus but i don't want to focus on the negatives you can i'm sure there's like negatives no there's so many positives okay i'm glad i can't believe i forgot to mention the bus so thank you for bringing it up yeah i love the bus okay i think i love the bus i mean it's i didn't love it i'll just say i'm gonna say i'm the only one to mention the bus. So thank you for bringing it up. Yeah. I love the bus. Okay. Good. I think I love the bus. I mean, it's. Derek didn't love it. I'll just say that. I was going to say, I'm the only one who loves the bus. It's not even close.
Starting point is 01:16:49 It's not like they're like, yeah, it's nice. I'm like, I love it. And I don't think anyone else even somewhat enjoys it. I'm nervous that we're going to switch back to hotels. Really? Guys, come on. Because they really dislike it that much. Start liking the bus.
Starting point is 01:17:00 What's their deal? No one else is sleeping well. Okay. And I am sleeping phenomenal. I'm getting better sleep than I sleep at home just because I'm sleeping the quantity of sleep. It's like, did you know like eight hours is like really good for you? You feel amazing.
Starting point is 01:17:12 Yeah. So, I mean, I slept like 10 hours one night. It was awesome. Trey's kind of a baby about his sleep. I've learned. He's a little high maintenance with sleep. I mean, you can't help it. It's not like he was like, I'm choosing to not sleep well.
Starting point is 01:17:21 Yeah. So, but even before we slept, I was already loving it. There's just, there's compartments everywhere and they're stocked with stuff. Like beneath my feet, Coca-Cola, Brad. No. Beneath those feet, water. Okay. If you need it.
Starting point is 01:17:35 Okay. Above this shelf, chips, salsa. We got white bread, wheat bread, peanut butter, jelly. So you're saying you had Coca-Cola and chips at your disposal and yet you still went to the airport and stole them? I'm a bad boy. You had jelly? I'm letting the fame get to me.
Starting point is 01:17:49 Raspberry rum spring out? I had a banana. First thing I did on the bus, there's just bananas laying there. I'm going to pop one of these open. Absolutely. And peel some bees. So yeah, I ate a banana. I was the only one who ate the bananas the whole trip.
Starting point is 01:17:59 Only one who made a peanut butter and jelly the whole trip. Bro! Only one who got into the Cokes the whole trip. I mean, I'm just living off this bus. They're just too cool for school. And're like i'm gonna if it's free yeah you know yeah you know these are free right i left my golf clubs on the bus because i'm not trying to like you know drag these back and forth we're only home for like 36 hours so oh it's the same bus same bus hope so has anyone seen oh that's a good thing to know though yeah you could
Starting point is 01:18:24 definitely like be strategic about like bringing more and more stuff and hopefully getting it back like yeah there is practically bringing it back as well you know yeah yeah there's got yeah anyway so and yeah i slept great uh it was awesome okay trey and i are very much disagree on temperature but we figured it out because every bunk is pretty different. All bunks are not made the same. Well, sure. He rises. Because, well, not just that.
Starting point is 01:18:50 I mean, Trey and Katie both were like, I feel like my bunk was so like stacked. It was like hot air. And I'm like, you've got to be kidding me. That was one of the coldest nights of sleep my whole life. I still slept great, but I was so cold. Like I didn't pack sweatpants. I slept in jeans because I was just like, I got to warm up somehow.
Starting point is 01:19:03 I slept in my zoomies. Shoes on just in case but we found out on the very last morning we were already done sleeping in there but my bunk had four vents and trey only had one so a pretty massive difference in airflow as it should be i was gonna say there was no way you could not be cold in my bunk and trey's like i gotta have that box like you can take it it was freezing i was miserable all right i wasn't miserable which is funny because with you and me you always like things colder than i do but not we've never slept if there's air conditioning yes i would like it warmer than most people if there is heat on i like it colder than most people okay i think i'm just high maintenance with temperature no no maybe you're just absolutely in the middle you're not high 74 all the time. Yeah, you're saying I just want a normal temperature, please like 70 degrees
Starting point is 01:19:50 It was so cool I left my laptop in my bunk area one day and I pulled it out and not just like I took it outside like out Into humidity, but just took it out into the common area of the bus and it had like condensation on it It was so cold in my bunk okay so anyway lesson learned not all of them made the same i had more outlets too so take that how'd you get this book i mean i had a george foreman grill in there uh bananas at my disposal just ripe on the vine yeah i don't know that's that's not how bananas are grown tree. Yep. Uh, okay. So just, just all around.
Starting point is 01:20:26 I love the bus. I love the bus. It was awesome. That's fun. Okay. Um, I guess this is, this is a negative question,
Starting point is 01:20:34 I guess, but did you have any, I, I guess I'm assuming in my head that maybe this is rude to say, but every once in a while, I'm assuming that before maybe you had a joke that didn't land very well, you know, when, with 200 people, did you ever find yourself like like i feel like that's the convenience of having
Starting point is 01:20:49 1500 plus people it'll never be dead yeah unless you do a trump joke in knoxville but otherwise it will never be dead like did you yeah did you find did you notice that at all like it was like even the ones that didn't hit very well hit decent you know that's a great point yeah there's kind of a new standard so right after the first show i mean it was like oh i'm taking this this and this out like that was just obviously not that big of a hitter like it still felt like half the room laughed yeah but it's like that's the standard has been raised like that's not good enough sure um so yeah plenty of stuff got taken out i kept forgetting stuff too like no one has seen the same show yet because i keep well obviously there's crowd work and stuff but yeah um i introduced a steve irwin
Starting point is 01:21:25 part to the show um okay i don't do any accents or anything obviously but i forgot that i think three of the four shows i forgot to say that there is a now that i'm thinking of it there's a tom hanks part of the show kind of i think i forgot that like two or three shows so i'm still like figuring out what i even say oh i'm excited there's so much new stuff that I don't know. I just, I'm forgetting it. And 20 minutes is a long time. Like that's a long time.
Starting point is 01:21:48 You kind of get lost. Yeah, absolutely. Okay. And then lastly, my question was just, so when my one experience with you is like what I basically think of every time in my head when you have a show.
Starting point is 01:21:57 And so my one experience was in Phoenix where there was a lot of people, I think it was like three, 400 people and a pretty big venue. But like even that, whenever we walked up to like the area where people were in line, it seemed like so many people in line, dude. And so like, I guess just like my question, like in the like pre-show, like what's the buzz? Like, what are you like?
Starting point is 01:22:19 What do you guys do? What's like, like walk us through what that looks like for you pre-show at the richmond show which is the big one i wanted to go out and see how the line yeah because also derrick was there so i was like let's go film something yeah i'm gonna be like some fake person like hey what's up guys i'm you know doing this you know just have some fake character anyway derrick and i got lost and ended up in the lobby where fans already were so i it, it was fine, but I ended up just like taking a bunch of pictures with people before the show. And I was like, this is not what I meant to do.
Starting point is 01:22:49 Like, I feel like kind of feel weird about this. So you mean like, what was your intention originally? To get outdoors, to like see the line of people like in line to get in. Cause I thought they were all still out there. And I was like, I'm just going to go mess with them. Oh, but they had already been let in. What's up guys, we're doing Trey Kennedy trivia today.
Starting point is 01:23:04 Or, you know, just do something fun for a video i don't know what i was gonna do but derek and i couldn't find it and so i haven't that you got lost that that shows how big these places are yeah so i haven't seen like a line outside but i've been in the lobby as people are leaving and it's kind of it's like this is so many people yeah this is crazy do you guys do anything like do you talk much like not strategy but like do you ever like go over anything like okay remember this this remember doing that or is it just like old hat by this point of like we know exactly what we're doing let's go trey and i go over there's some stuff we go over every show okay and um just like i like to get to know every heap city so there's
Starting point is 01:23:39 like certain just specific things about each city that are we try to remember i remember this is the this is the country part of the city this is like the ghetto part this is the really nice part just use them if it comes up use them if we need it right this is they're known for this you know whatever um a lot of debriefing goes down after i get done that's where it's like train i have five minutes together and i just give him a bunch of information of just like five minutes oh because he's doing a video there's videos playing so i tell him uh yeah it's kind of fun now think about it we are kind of strategic like there's just certain jokes that i do that give trey an indication of what type of
Starting point is 01:24:13 crowd it is like my old testament joke didn't do that great tonight i don't think it's very churchy crowd or like this joke did really well they really you know whatever so right i have that and i tell them like okay this worked with the guy in the front row they are loving it i called back to it four times. They love it. Definitely incorporate this in your stuff. Like I'm always trying to like help him out. Like if you just say anything about Greg and they will lose it.
Starting point is 01:24:32 This is like the interaction we had or I'm doing stuff like that. What else do we talk about? Like, I don't know. Oh, there's when we were more comedy clubs is pretty common. Like, hey, so why there's drunk women on the left. Yeah, there's very obnoxious. Like, don't don't don't give into them in to them yeah i think they're gonna be fine or whatever just anything that would be important information we debrief a lot as soon as they
Starting point is 01:24:52 come off stage yeah um that's fun yeah it is kind of fun now that i think about it do you guys then at the end of the show like go back and be like okay what worked what didn't anything like that that's just my personality is like never stop improving like let's let's critique this let's talk about pros and cons kind of thing i think we do more improving on our own the more debrief afterwards is like things that made this show special yeah yeah yeah just do you believe that woman held her baby up she's simba that baby you know like that like because an hour has gone by where we haven't gotten to talk about something that happened or like remember you asked that woman this and that was her answer so true and then probably by the time you're done you're going out to see fans and stuff
Starting point is 01:25:27 so it's not like you're like like yeah re rehashing everything right away yeah it's all just like fun stuff and yeah we kind of improve on our own and um whatever so yeah it's awesome dude it's good question those are all the questions i have right now but thank you watch out for that pickleball i keep smacking the backwards hat today but dude that's yeah so like better worse everything you imagine what how are you feeling about it overall just like just all-time thankful like just as thankful as i've ever been like this is just so wild that i'm in a position to get to do this it has not stopped getting crazy that people would like a picture with me, that they want autographs.
Starting point is 01:26:06 The autograph, especially. It's like, what? Really? Like, I never, you said the other day, like, I never use a pin anymore. I don't even own a pin. Waitresses are the only people who ever see this. Like, my pinmanship is rough.
Starting point is 01:26:18 Yeah, so it's just, it's crazy. And just even having that moment, I was on stage in Richmond and looking up and you can kind of see how far back it goes. And it's like, this just even having that moment, I was on stage in Richmond and looking up and you can kind of see how far back it goes. And it's like, this is crazy that I, I am up here.
Starting point is 01:26:30 I am captivating these people. It is just me doing that. How did I, I don't know. It's not just like, how did I get here? But it's just like, it's a wild thought in general to be a performer performer,
Starting point is 01:26:40 right. To be like, it is only me. Yeah. Captivating a large group of people for like 20 minutes or it's just it's a strange thing right this didn't exist years ago if it did you were like you you were a woman who could grow hair on your face or something you know it wasn't as fun as this so i don't know i think i'm just like thinking through what it means to be even like
Starting point is 01:27:00 doing this as a career a little bit it's just it's very interesting yeah to just be like i i don't know i came up i i at the end of the day i work in like the service industry here like i'm just providing you something that you want right my talent happens to be coming up with observations and saying them in a funny way yeah and you guys really like it and because of that you think i'm so great and you want a picture that you can have forever with me. I know it's just very interesting. I don't know. It's very unique.
Starting point is 01:27:29 And yeah, but it's super, super cool. I just I hope it never stops. I could do this forever. That's awesome, dude. So. So where are we going next? Tomorrow, I fly to Milwaukee and then we go to Cleveland for two shows and then we go. No, sorry.
Starting point is 01:27:42 Milwaukee, Chicago. Thank you, Cleveland. Cleveland was tomorrow night. I then we go. Nope. Sorry. Milwaukee, Chicago. Thank you, Cleveland. Oh, God. Cleveland was tomorrow night. I am Cincinnati. Thank you. Chicago. Milwaukee.
Starting point is 01:27:52 Yeah. Joliet. Little suburb. Sure. But if people from Joliet say they're from Chicago, though. All the time. Yeah, no doubt. Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland, Buffalo.
Starting point is 01:28:04 We got a game against Buffalo this Sunday night Buffalo Saturday and then Sunday is Redding PA which I think is outside of Philly yes ready yeah yeah I've heard of that I maybe went there or something maybe you did um are you gonna say something about Buffalo or the Chiefs oh maybe I should I haven't thought through it yet maybe near the end like so just in case like it doesn't like what or like, this guy's a jerk. Like, he's messing with the bills. I thought about saying
Starting point is 01:28:28 the Panthers were three, you know, when I was performing in North Carolina, I was like, do people care about this? Should I say something? I didn't end up saying anything,
Starting point is 01:28:33 but I think I always assumed that like certain demographics that have pretty crappy teams, like don't care about their teams that much. But when I go visit those places, I'm like,
Starting point is 01:28:42 people everywhere care about sports so much. Yeah. Like even in Philadelphia. Um, Oh no, it wasn't. No,
Starting point is 01:28:50 it was, yeah, it was, it was Sammy talking about Boston college and how much like there's huge Boston college football fans out there. And I'm like, really ever talk. Like,
Starting point is 01:28:57 it's like, it's like if you're not in the sec, like, like you're not that well known nationally for your football fandom. But he's like, yeah, people are crazy about BC, you know? And yeah, like like you're not that well known nationally for your football fandom but he's like yeah people are crazy about bc you know and yeah i'm sure there's lots of crazy carolina panthers fans it's probably not as similar like i think buffalo is like a different level it's like
Starting point is 01:29:13 name another sports town or anything in buffalo yeah it's all they have yeah chicken wings and the bills so yeah um anyway but yeah i think you should definitely say something i probably will but yeah final thoughts of the tour it's so fun i'm very thankful to trey that he has given me this opportunity and hopefully someday everyone asks about you braddy people even ask about isaac like is isaac here like why in the world would isaac be here that's everyone everyone every ghost runners fan is always like i thought maybe brad would be here and i'm like maybe someday yeah so uh yeah who knows yeah what can what can we do ghosties to just convince trey you know yeah we'll see i i don't think it's that far from maybe not like i don't know happening someday i don't know we haven't really talked about it but i think it's
Starting point is 01:30:00 definitely likely to happen at some point that would be so fun that would be so fun it's so fun i would i would just have so much fun on the tour bus with you. I would, I'd be pumped about the bananas. The PVs. We might annoy people together, you know, like Brad and Trey are too excited about everything or Brad and Jake. I mean, yeah, it was just, oh, the late night peanut butter sandwiches were awesome. Sure.
Starting point is 01:30:18 They loved it. Little nightcap. Sure. They were. Yeah. So just having so much fun, trying to live live it up every night just every day just like this is crazy i woke up i golfed i would perform comedy now i'm back here eating a peanut butter sandwich what else you need what's better than this and then
Starting point is 01:30:34 sunday was incredible dude we went to the sports bar they had six tvs each tv was playing a different game i was sitting right in front of the chiefs and it had red zone on my phone love it i was so stimulated if i was any more stimulatedulated, I would have been defiled. Yeah, really. It was awesome. It's such a good day. Just watch. Did nothing.
Starting point is 01:30:51 I slept in till 11, watched football and then performed. Such a good day. That sounds like a nice day. Yeah, I'm having fun. I'm loving life. Let's go, dude. Thanks to all the ghosties who came out. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:00 Yeah. Did you feel like there's a considerable amount more? I mean, obviously there's more people in the crowd, but like, comedy club like oh i think there's one out there i gotta go see him and now it's like oh there's like 10 people per night wearing merch that's awesome super super cool that is fun yeah they're all so great you guys are all so great to meet let's go let's go let's go let's go uh anything else brad want to give any shout outs want to do voice memos what are you thinking uh let's get some shout outs real quick um first of all i to give any shout outs want to do voice memos what are you thinking let's get some shout outs real quick first of all give a shout out to Michelle McClain's one more time shout out to you for coming being a ghosty and being a cutting board
Starting point is 01:31:31 contributor CBCB BC I would like to give a shout out once again I have no shout outs written down so we're just winging this today I would like to give a shout out to Davis Mills it's Mills. We forgot to talk about this. It's actually so sad. I hate it. I hate it for you. I was rooting for you. I would never.
Starting point is 01:31:56 I cared more about that league than the two leagues I'm able to make money in. I wish there was some sort of buyback somehow, you know, but maybe next year some buyback yeah uh i'm out of the guillotine league brad is out week four yeah quick didn't make it very far and
Starting point is 01:32:14 honestly weren't even really close no no it wasn't i i think uh i think i'm the first person that got out that's ever played fantasy football before my I played since I was like 12 years old. I hadn't thought about that, but I think you're right. Like definitely Lisa Haddon. Broips? I don't know. Three kickers? I doubt it.
Starting point is 01:32:32 I don't think so. And I don't know who got out last week. And to top it off, in our group meet, we did a new thing where it's like, if you pick who is out this week, you get an extra dollar. So not only were you out this week, but the girl you picked to get out scored 190 points it was like you really got it wrong this week that's the funny thing like like she took offense because i i originally said like matt or something because he said some funny comment or i don't know what he said and and then like just out of the blue like just to stir things up i just looked in there like i just put at in the group me and then like
Starting point is 01:33:02 picked a random person so i was like actually I'm changing my pick to Chris, Kristen. And frankly, it's not even gonna be close like that. She's like, whoa, whoa. I think I let a comment there out of nowhere from the rafters. Right. From the top ropes. And Kristen, not even close. I don't, I have no idea who's on our team.
Starting point is 01:33:19 Like I didn't, I didn't, it was not personal at all. It's just like, yeah, why not? Just pick Kristen. I love just stirring it up. Yeah, absolutely. So, uh,
Starting point is 01:33:27 yeah. So if we want to break it down a little bit, I think that if I didn't ever pick up anybody, I would have won this week. If you just keep your original team. Cause Davis mills was minus terrible. And then, yeah.
Starting point is 01:33:39 Minus seven points from a quarterback. He threw like three or four interceptions. Yeah. Like 48 yards. It's so hard to do. That's unheard of. I've never, that's terrible. And like I had Trey Lance on my bench
Starting point is 01:33:52 and Trey Lance hadn't played like all year. And then Jimmy Garoppolo gets hurt in the first half. Trey Lance was 18. Yeah. Like that alone, I think would have gotten me close. Yeah. No, that was enough. That difference was 25 points.
Starting point is 01:34:03 Oh my gosh. I was so, I was fired points oh my gosh i was so i was fired up i was trying to explain it to katherine and i could tell she didn't really understand or care but i was like just just know that i'm hurting yeah it wasn't that big of a deal but i and then there was like a little glimmer of hope like this other person's doing pretty bad like i might be able to geek it out what's crazy too is there are so many players available like i know players i well travis kel Travis Kelsey is easily the best tight end, both fantasy and otherwise, in the league.
Starting point is 01:34:29 He got me, like, six points. Yeah. It was just a weird, bad day for me. So, yeah. Available right now, just so many players. Jameis, Travis Kelsey, Kareem Hunt, Clyde Edwards-Hilaire, Julio Jones. Julio Jones.
Starting point is 01:34:43 Julio Jones was hurt. Yeah. And Trey Lance wasn't a starter. So now all these players became so much more valuable now that they're not on your team. Davis Mills. Davis Mills, anybody? I think you should, we should do something where it's like, whoever bids the most
Starting point is 01:34:56 gets to choose who Davis Mills has to start for next week. One week only. Someone in the group me said, get Davis Mills on the pod, which I love. Youis mills on the pod which i love you gotta get him on the pod oh man it was i actually like jokingly whenever you had the idea of like picking who was gonna lose this week i jokingly said can i pick myself just in case and just give all my money to somebody else like but it's fine i i had fun and i can't wait to do it again next year, guys. So.
Starting point is 01:35:26 So sad. Shout out Davis. Sorry, Davis Mills. Oh, frick him. OK, I got a shout out for Orchata. You ever had it, Jake? Ever heard of it? Yeah, it's like it's spelled H-O-R-C-H-A-T-A.
Starting point is 01:35:40 Yes. I don't know what it is, though. It is a drink. And I think you'd actually like a drink. Yes. Mexican coffee. No, it's like uh it's like milk kind of milky drink so that's why i think you like it okay i think it's technically rice milk which doesn't sound good but don't don't just try it before i describe it too much more it's like it's like sweet milk with cinnamon in it cinnamon in it cinnamon yeah yeah that makes sense let's say it one more time sweet milk with cinnamon in it sweet milk with cinnamon in it sweet milk with cinnamon in it. Sweet milk with cinnamon in it. Sweet milk with cinnamon in it. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:36:06 it's Eminem right there. Eminem would love to use that. My name is Eminem. I got cinnamon in it. I gave me an enema. That's how you would rhyme it. Somebody wrote us a jingle that has Eminem in it. Oh, yeah. No, two actually. No, you don't know about this one. Oh, okay. The second one. Yeah. Yeah. Someone rewrote lose yourself lose yourself which is one one of the more like lyrically impressive songs ever written so like bold of you to choose that one and there's just so many words that for you to write and for me to have to perform i'll get to it eventually uh anyway horchata went to a mexican restaurant on a whim the other night and it was so much fun. Like a true authentic Mexican place and there was not very many people there.
Starting point is 01:36:48 We sat outside and Catherine's like, I've been really mean to try this horchata. I tried it once when I was in 8th grade and so right after she said that, I was like, and we'll get one horchata, please. And she was like, oh, horchata, okay. And it was awesome. Muy bien.
Starting point is 01:37:03 Muy, muy bueno. Okay. Yeah. I highly recommend horchata to anybody out there. And then Catherine, there's also like a food truck or like a taco truck kind of near our house over by McLean's. Okay. Thursday through Sunday.
Starting point is 01:37:16 So that place is popping like 1030 at night. Yes. So what is happening? It's just awesome. Horchata? Yes. They have horchata there. And Catherine, like one, a couple of nights ago was like,
Starting point is 01:37:25 I'm so hungry. I'm going to go get some tacos. You want some? And she's like, everyone is ordering or Jada. Should I get one? Everyone's doing it. It was like two days after we had this,
Starting point is 01:37:33 I was like, you won't. And she's like, you're right. I won't. She's too disciplined. But, uh,
Starting point is 01:37:37 anyway, shout out or Chata, just good stuff. Okay. Last week I gave a shout out to girls on Instagram. This week I'd like to give a shout out to different type of girls on Instagram. This is two girls on Instagram who claim that they are matching. If a girl is even somewhat wearing something similar to another girl,
Starting point is 01:37:52 they will take a picture together and they will say, didn't even mean to be twinning today. Yes. And it's like, are you? I don't even know which two in the picture are twinning. I can't even tell. That's twinning to you. I think it's always like we both wore like darker brown pants and both have like shades of navy on that's insane we both have sky colors earth tones that's crazy
Starting point is 01:38:13 neutrals on top and yeah just a flashy bottom and both like white souls on our shoes yep what are the odds i mean they have to show their shoes show their souls show their souls um glorifying god through the soul game that's right my life issues glorify god through the souls yeah um i just uh i've been seeing it for a while now i just figured it's time to give him a shout out just on my mind dude uh piggybacking off of that i shout out to piggyback rides too while we're here fun way to get around way but i like shoulder rides better way higher up yes way higher up yes and once you get them up there it's way easier yeah and you don't feel as funny on your front right if you're riding exactly sometimes you're good yeah so um no i just don't like this i don't want to make fun of basic white girls all the time but i just don't like uh how basic white girls these days are like going on bachelorette
Starting point is 01:39:05 weekends and like dressing up in all the same things have you noticed this like like uh like they'll go to scottsdale and they'll all be around the pool and all the bridesmaids are in black swimming suits and then the bride is in white that drives me crazy really because i just think to myself like i now that i have a wife like she had to buy a new bathing suit yes that's exactly it like i'm just like that stresses people out like just like because as guys it's like hey we're all going to vegas and like let's just have some fun it's not like and make sure you bring this kind of uh outfit for saturday night this kind of outfit for sunday morning you know we're gonna do this this like uh it's just it just kind of bothers
Starting point is 01:39:44 me a little bit i don't want to shout out anybody too specifically, but I, I just, I saw it recently. And it's just like, it's not like, I don't, I don't necessarily have like anything against the personality type that does it. Cause I just think that's just like the trend right now. I just think I don't, I don't like unnecessary stress on my friends. And I have a feeling that like, depending on the theme that you do, or depending on the attire that you're asking, certain people would be like, I don't have that. go buy that i gotta go find that i never thought about it from like a uh you know purchasing standpoint because the practical standpoint of like like it's no longer just like oh i'm leaving tomorrow it's like i'm leaving tomorrow i have to have this this
Starting point is 01:40:18 these outfits yeah because being in a wedding already is something that's going to cost you a little bit of money as a guy you're either buying or renting a tux that day you know you're having to buy flights to the wedding or to the bachelor party you know those things sure involved which is expected yeah but if you're a girl i mean it's a really costly thing probably yeah to be a bridesmaid yeah so anyway twinning same when you said 20 you're matching or whatever that's what it made me think of right in my head was like yeah whatever i'd like to give us a couple oh no wait that was a piggyback shout out that wasn't a real shout out that was a pbs yeah all about the kids so um reading rainbow yeah arthur so uh i got a shout out to people that let you turn left in traffic the person that like stops i just god bless you god right shout out to you god bless you
Starting point is 01:41:04 like especially if i'm out of town i don't know these streets it just it just takes oh bless your God bless you. God bless you. Shout out to you. God bless you. Like, especially if I'm out of town, I don't know these streets. It just, it just takes, Oh, bless your child. It just takes an advanced driver to know and to recognize,
Starting point is 01:41:13 Hey, this person's trying to get out. They're going through it right now. Right. They don't even have a horn. Right. He couldn't, I couldn't get his attention if I tried. His hood looks awful.
Starting point is 01:41:20 Yeah. I got to help this guy out. At least let him turn. Like, like it's like you're stopped at a long red light. don't need to be right up against this person just give a little space and and you know give the go ahead go ahead thank you shout out to you god bless you yeah god bless you i just give a shout out to a couple suburbs of richmond virginia i said i asked a woman i said what is like a really like nice part around here like a really nice suburb and she said goochland goochland and then i said what's like a really like country
Starting point is 01:41:50 bumpkin suburb of here and she said varina and i said you expect me to say the words goochland and varina on stage tonight like that's those are the first two ones that came to mind i was like yeah but that's what they're called it's white Trey, I'm too scared to say Varina. I'm going to screw it up. I'm not going to use it. I'm not. So I used Goochland. And people commented on my Instagram yesterday.
Starting point is 01:42:10 They're like, I'll never forget Booch and Gooch. You know, like the stuff I was saying. I saw somebody say Booch. And I was like, what's he talking about? Because it was the nice part of town. So I made these jokes about drinking kombucha and Gooch and all this stuff. But I was too nervous. And yeah, Trey broke out the varietal.
Starting point is 01:42:25 So shout out to Trey for having the boldness and the confidence to like, pull that out. I was like, I'm just not going to say it right. You just get flustered. You're like, Brian of Virginia. I mean,
Starting point is 01:42:33 Richmond, Virginia. Thank you, Charlotte. Whatever. And then there's Norfolk. Norfolk. They say like Virginia.
Starting point is 01:42:42 Yeah. Come on. I mean, Virginia is just one walking punch line yeah they're just trying to stumble people up so shout out to those cities okay shout to them um i got two more i got a shout out to bennett peterson oh bennett i know this is the guy i met really yeah where how do you wait it's like we just bumped into each other wait how do you know bennett came to the show, I think, in Richmond.
Starting point is 01:43:05 I'm all sponsored. I think, so Jules is his mom, right? You know. Brother? I met Bennett with, I think, his siblings. Okay. Bennett's birthday is coming up. Bennett's a big fan.
Starting point is 01:43:19 Oh, I think this has got to be St. Bennett. Okay. SB. Yeah. Bennett, Jules said, hey, your birthday's coming up. And so we want to give you a shout out for your birthday coming up. So happy birthday to Bennett. I hear he's a big fan, big Bennett fan. Um, and so just shout out to you for having a birthday, being born and living your life in a way that glorifies the ghost runners because ghost runners is life glorifying the
Starting point is 01:43:41 ghost runners glorifying God through the ghost runners. well you see bennett peterson okay yeah i just found it yeah so i need to give a shout out to bennett anyway because he was just the man he was so funny he was just like i don't know do you know how old he is no i would say 16 or 17 that's so that's why i thought it was his mom that was yeah commenting but probably no i have no idea if he's 8 or 16 i don't know anything about you except it's your birthday in october he was just right away. He just got cool vibes from Bennett. He was like, what's up, dude? I'm a Ghostrunners listener. I had a great night.
Starting point is 01:44:08 I was like, oh, what's up? Thanks, man. Thank you so much. He's really nice. Really sweet kid. And he was like, by the way, I am a patron as well. I was like, dude, no way. And he goes, yeah, came from Megan.
Starting point is 01:44:19 I was like, okay, don't blame me. It's been good. He's like, I love it, dude. He's like, there's so many good videos. I was just zooming on her the whole time. Like, oh, you. I wish you would have filmed in 4K, but you know, it's still good. It's still good.
Starting point is 01:44:30 I got a big monitor. Yeah. But no, he's like, dude, I've been loving scrolling back. And I was like, yeah, there's a lot of good stuff. You got to get to when we first moved in with Harrison. There's a lot of gold from last December. Right, right. Little hairy boy.
Starting point is 01:44:42 But I screenshotted it because i just like the comment anyway he said jake you absolutely killed it in richmond i was so glad i finally got to meet you and also those finger guns at the end where they got me you made my year and this is definitely my favorite birthday present heck yeah so bennett let us know does the shout out you just got from brad is that better doubt it hey i don't know that sounded like a great time maybe he loves made his year digital shout outs i think that's probably carefully close. Um, okay.
Starting point is 01:45:07 Lastly, I want to give us, no, that was you. That was your PBS. So that was my PBS. Okay. My,
Starting point is 01:45:13 my, my RS, my real shout out. Um, I like to give a shout out to, to really two things at one at once. One is the answer. We count Christian to curse sometimes.
Starting point is 01:45:22 Yes. Side shout out SS. Yeah. Do you know where I'm going with this? Yeah. Their editing skills are impeccable. Oh, no. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:28 Okay. That was the other thing. They only, okay, sorry. Let me explain this. It's this like meme account on Instagram that I just followed like two weeks ago or so. But they, they did an edit of our Enneagram edit. Like we made a reel of our Enneagram video on jean shorts. They did an edited
Starting point is 01:45:45 down version of that with only my parts in it for some reason which I don't think my parts were that good like I was not the star of that video they were fine they were fine they were you're you were like the Enneagram guy so I guess that makes sense that they only included you but there was like no backlash in the video there was no like real person being like dude you're so annoying right right the video was busy anyway yeah they edited together just this video of me it's only like 30 seconds long the side shout out is to the multiple multiple people who sent it to me texted it to me and tagged me in the comments and said dude you've made it i don't know why that like kind of bothered me i think sometimes i was i was on tour and people like dude you're on this meme account now. You did it.
Starting point is 01:46:25 Yeah. You, this, this 25 second video. You, you, I mean, this is 12,000 likes. It's just, it's just nuts. Whatever their standard, like, like that's a huge deal to them. Cause they know that's like a really funny account probably. But yeah, it's like, it's like in the grand scheme, like I think that account has a lot of followers, like 50,000.
Starting point is 01:46:44 Whoa. Yeah, exactly. Like, like in your standard scheme, I think that account has a lot of followers, like 50,000. Whoa. Yeah, exactly. Like in your standard of like- I'm on tour. This is the biggest opportunity of my life. Right. And this meme account means nothing. That's so funny.
Starting point is 01:46:54 I was just shocked, I think, at the quantity of comments and texts. Obviously, people are being nice. I'm not upset that they're proud of me, but it's just the juxtaposition of while I'm on tour, I get reposted by a meme page. I'm like, dude, I can't believe this. Now, the doors are gonna open for you man oh yeah you should go on tour i've been doing a hashtag for your tour i love it i love it i might change the jake made it that's just for that and just tag the account over and over once again shout out
Starting point is 01:47:22 to our meme page for really busting the door open for us. Please. Yeah. You made it all happen. So shout out to that. Those two things. Love it. It was just kind of funny. Funny timing more than anything.
Starting point is 01:47:34 Yeah. No, it was cool to see. Like people sent it to me and I was like, oh, wow. Oh, nice. That is like kind of a I had seen that account. I don't follow that account.
Starting point is 01:47:41 Like I knew it was kind of a big deal to Christians that are young. So I was like, cool. Nice. I don't feel like we made it because of that but it's never bad to be recognized by a meme page it means you know hey we're doing something right for all we know christians who curse sometimes might be a ghosty i think they would have brought it up at some point but who knows you don't know we don't know no way of knowing there's no way it's your milk uh last shout out last shout out is just to my family just to vibes honestly just shout out to vibes and specifically my family the last like two or three nights it's just been beautiful weather yeah all vibes yeah the other night we got home sunday night i got home from mclean's i used the minivan to transport
Starting point is 01:48:20 everything to mclean's so i backed the minivan into the back back driveway was unloading everything and so there was just like a flat minivan and hattie and katherine and beau all got in the minivan for whatever reason i had like been blasting surfaces and so surfaces was pretty loud and it was like sun setting i was hitting some practice golf balls around the yard with surfaces going i mean just great vibes wow and like lately bo's favorite toy is this little bluetooth speaker he just loves like if i turn it on and connect it to music and he just walks around dances really dances with like one hand kind of like like doing like he's nae nae yeah pretty much um and it's so cute and so fun but yeah just last night again we like he was just walking around as i he was like basically following me hitting his golf balls and like we were playing
Starting point is 01:49:04 surfaces and it was just great vibes dude so just good vibes with the family that's awesome that sounds phenomenal yeah early morning the golf course today had a ghost owners podcast sweater on the cover comes one it's just also a great vibe great vibes dude golfing with the boys with the ghosty sweater on nothing better yeah so vibes are here except also i saw the high is uh 90 on sunday so yeah it's like like like it's teasing us right now. Yeah, it's not quite like leaves are falling, but they're falling green. The trees don't know what to do. They're freaking out.
Starting point is 01:49:31 Yeah, I don't know. Because Trey and I are trying to film this fall video. It's like we keep having to push it back. Right. We are so far from the colors turning. Maybe you were just in the north. No, you weren't in northeast. I was just thinking maybe if you go to the northeast sometime.
Starting point is 01:49:42 Honestly, maybe just knock out a fall video. But the way we want to do it, we need need some extras to make it happen trey is relying on me he's like hey you know um every girl in this town can you get me like seven of them it's funny how much like trade trade has friends like i know it's always on me to get everybody that's funny um shoot what was i gonna say don't know go ahead uh just fall leaves probably fall vibes leaves oh katherine's gonna be gone she's going to texas for the state fair with the kids tomorrow yeah and i can't wait to have my windows open oh maybe maybe what room on the bus i don't know if the old truck will get there or not um no but i'm just gonna have my windows open at night so hard it's gonna be amazing how
Starting point is 01:50:22 long are the kids gone i think you're coming back sunday so it's a little bit of a little bit of a week you get some work done that'll be nice yeah i got big plans nice you're gonna golf uh i don't have plans for that you can find them maybe you're like you could find some windows in there for golf but um okay let's get to some uh oh my gosh this podcast has been long i just looked down okay yeah oh my god k me. He's like, are you coming home for dinner? OK, we're still going. I text her. We're still going strong. So I just we are going strong.
Starting point is 01:50:49 It's a fun episode. Let's keep going. Well, I kind of need to run to I made some plans later. Wow. We went so long. OK, it's because we wanted to hear about the tour.
Starting point is 01:50:57 I think that took a while, but I think that was good. Yeah, maybe that did take a while. And either way, we had a fun episode. Let's we had some good voice members. We'll get to them next week. I um yeah they were some good ones let's get down to reviews we have one so do we want to read together yep okay also oh quick last week i was like oh i had no idea this
Starting point is 01:51:18 rhymed this was like a rap i guess the web version i'm looking at does not have any line breaks when i saw it on the podcast app it's very clear that it's a song. Oh Like it line breaks every like three words. Yeah my version. It's all one sentence And so I'm like no wonder I had trouble knowing this. Yeah, so if anyone looked at that like Jake is a moron How does he not know like the rhyming word is the last word of the sins know the web version? I'm on yeah, it's just all one sentence with no periods anywhere. It was a tough thing to do. Jake's so techie.
Starting point is 01:51:48 He doesn't like use like the mainstream way of looking at the reviews. You're lucky I'm a rap savant and I figured it out. That's right. Okay. I live under a rock. From M Laura 12. Should we use popcorn or we want to do it together? Just whenever it feels like a break, I'll be ready to talk.
Starting point is 01:52:04 Okay. So I don't know what rock I've been living under. As a longtime Jake and Trey fan and now Brad through Jeans Shorts, I feel like I should be extremely aware that this podcast exists. However, I discovered that the pod last week... Dang it.
Starting point is 01:52:18 Start it over. Start it over. No, no, no. Edit and post, Justin. However, I just discovered the pod last week and my life is changed. Truly. The last week and my life is changed truly the last week of my life has been has had more joy and laughter than it has in a while i live for the subtle office jokes and trust me i pick up on every single one yeah anyway i've listened to four episodes the past
Starting point is 01:52:42 week and i'm so stoked to be able to catch up on previous episodes and continue to keep up with you guys moving forward going to buy some merch now peace emoji tyreek hill style dude tyreek had a game yeah he did you didn't have a game? Travis Kelsey! Clyde Edwards-O'Leary got tackled on the one-yard line! Score the ball! Jody Ford's in third-string tight end getting touched up. Darryl Williams scored! Fantasy football is so interesting. Davis Mills.
Starting point is 01:53:21 What a loser. That guy stinks. What a loser. What a what a dump anyway great review m laura uh shouldn't have put the tyreek emoji you know we're gonna take it there you know we're gonna take it there if you if you put that just triggered oh that's funny though okay thank you for the review thank you for the five stars thank you guys for listening this episode brad just like to end this episode to jinda let's do it this one's from our girl bonnie unsworth bunsworth bunsworth let's listen in guys is it is all right this is good this is good this is good i'm gonna go into system preferences
Starting point is 01:54:01 but this time i'm not gonna let it mute the mic again. My goodness. That was a little bit of a whoopsie daisy. There's actually a really funny, I just saw it on Reddit. Did you see that meme about that? Dude. Oh,
Starting point is 01:54:13 our Reddit's been hilarious. There's some really funny things that I haven't seen in a while. I haven't even looked at it. Actually, Knack Baxter has sent it to me. Dude, there's one on there. Okay.
Starting point is 01:54:21 The video we put up on patreon of us introducing top golf rachel go find that meme i like i'm probably hyping it up too much but i like i let out like a whenever i first saw it it made a plosive noise come out of my mouth as i was boarding the plane yesterday let's see i hadn't seen that oh wow there is a lot on there. Yeah, I had really gotten behind. Okay, I'm getting the audio, getting the sound. Isn't it great? And only the patrons even know what that's about. That was funny, dude, in the Patreon comments. I was looking at her paddle, and then someone commented, nice paddle.
