Starting point is 00:00:00 We love our fans here at the Ghost Runners podcast. I want to highlight one specifically. They left a comment 28 minutes ago. It says, this is a comment on last Wednesday's episode titled Best Weekend Ever. This is the one where we're at Grande Bou, we're on a stage talking in front of people. This comment says, Tymon, you go singing something like Bieber in the house, dot, dot, dot, Tymon in the house. What does it mean? Is this a request or a comment? Tymon, you go singing. Tymon, comma, you go, and then in parentheses, singing.
Starting point is 00:00:38 Okay. So let's say the parentheses aren't there. Okay. Tymon, you go something like Bieber in the house, Tymon in the house. Tymon in the house. Okay. Tymon, you go something like Bieber in the house. Tymon in the house. Tymon in the house. Okay. Bieber in the house. I don't know what we talked
Starting point is 00:00:54 about last Wednesday. Bieber. I mean, like I remember like kind of forcing Tymon to sing Charlie Puth. Yes. And he killed it while sitting down, which is impressive by itself. Is that tougher? It's easier to hit the high notes when you're Puth. Yes. And he killed it and I was sitting down, which is impressive by itself. Oh, is that tougher?
Starting point is 00:01:07 It's easier to hit the high notes when you're standing up. Yeah. Oh, your diaphragm is like crumpled. Yes. Oh, so if you were to do this, yeah,
Starting point is 00:01:15 yeah, yeah, yeah. It's been a long day. Oh man, we got, we got something like Bieber in the house. Charlie Puth actually, went to an OBGYN to sing a lot of his songs
Starting point is 00:01:30 That's how he recorded that song Yeah, whatever You go sing it Something like you go sing in like Bieber in the house I go sing in something So is it some kind of comment? Or is it like a request? Something like you go singing like Bieber in the house. I go singing something. Is it some kind of comment or is it like a request? Tymon, you should go singing
Starting point is 00:01:50 like something like Bieber in the house. Say Bieber is misspelled. Does that change anything for you guys? How? B-E-I. Yeah. I didn't know there was B-E-I.
Starting point is 00:02:01 B-E-I would have made it for sure. So we're not even talking about Justin Bieber. It's Biber. That's Biber. That's Biber for you. B-E-E. Bieber. B-E-E would have made it for sure. So we're not even talking about Justin Bieber. It's Biber. It's Biber. That's Biber. That's Biber for you. Biber in the house. I'm going to Google Biber in the house.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Yeah. Getting some German propaganda. Did you mean Bieber in the house? No, I meant Biber. Make sure you click on the thing that says no, Biber. Search instead for Biber in the house. Yes, thank you. I was expecting something like that Bieber in the house meant meant something but I just get pictures of Justin Bieber's house
Starting point is 00:02:26 so I don't is it a reference? Nope you go singing to Madcap I'm just trying so hard to actually you go singing you go singing
Starting point is 00:02:42 to Bieber in the house that that that Tyman, you go singing to Bieber in da house. Da, da, da, Tyman in da house. By Burr in da house. By Burr in da house. By Burr in da house. Uh-oh, ooh, I think this tight beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts and white meat too. Midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat.
Starting point is 00:03:07 So come along, let's have some fun and go ahead, get on your feet, because it's the Ghost Rubs Podcast. Everybody, come on, it'll be taking ground. Ghost Rubs Podcast. Ghost Rubs Podcast. Episode 584. 584.4 here we are brad's in his row back time is got a big weekend ahead yes and i've got my little honey citrus tea there's your updates is that what you call it when you order yes see ya have a good week honey citrus tea Tea. That's the name of it? Honey Citrus Mint Tea. Mint Tea.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Yeah, a little minto in there. Pimento cheese. Yeah, I think there's an argument to say it's helping. I think it's also my throat's been sore for three weeks, so maybe this is hurting me. I don't know. So it's sore. It's not just weak. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Bummer. I'm sorry. A little bit. I'll be all right. You will be. It was worth it. I mean, the reason my voice is getting sore is from podcasting, which I love, performing, which I love, or talking to ghosties, which I love. Yes. So, you know, it's all good.
Starting point is 00:04:15 You're like, I'm not just going to sit here and let people talk to me. You're going to talk back. Yeah, yeah. It's going to be a two-way conversation. Bieber in the house, Tymon in the house. Tymon in the house. You know know kind of yin and yang byber and timon by aber byber and teaming um but yeah uh what do you want to talk about do you want to talk about pre grande boo you want to finish up talking about grande boo overall thoughts of the boo i think we just go everything i don't let the more random hodge hodge podge pish posh pish pososh. Pishposh. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:45 You go first. Whatever. Whatever you want to say. Let's see. Okay. Let's talk about... Jensen has been here for 25 days. And it's been really fun.
Starting point is 00:04:59 We've gotten to hang out with Jensen a lot. It actually has been a blast. A reminder of who Jensen is to the people. We met him when he came to our very first Ghost Runners getaway trip in Florida. Which we're doing another one of those. Yeah. Gulf Shores, Alabama. Check it out.
Starting point is 00:05:11 If you don't listen to Wednesday's episodes for some reason and they're biased, well, now you can hear it on Mondays. Yes. Live now. Go get your tickets. Ghost Runners getaway, Gulf Shores. Tickets are limited. Late April, early May.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Going fast. Yeah. We've already sold like 75% of the tickets. That is kind of crazy. So so anyway go ahead limited uh but yeah jensen comes and just immediately it's like this is a guy who would fit in so well with our friend group like he would just get along so well with him and so uh him and isaac formed a little bit of a romantic relationship on the trip and so anyway he's here to here to see Isaac this weekend. And yeah, so, uh,
Starting point is 00:05:46 we've been hanging and he's been helping out with Grande Boo and we golfed with him yesterday, but I want you to tell your side of the story. Well, we went to Topgolf the day before that. Yeah. And Jensen just goes, um,
Starting point is 00:05:57 Jake, if you think they're not selling pumpkin spice yet, you're wrong. Oh yeah. Yeah. You guys know Brad's personality. And I think there are certain aspects of Brad that Jensen has even, yeah. Yeah. Because you guys know Brad's personality, and I think there are certain aspects of Brad that Jensen has even more of.
Starting point is 00:06:09 Yes. And action. Yeah, and I also would say that I get spurred on by other guys like me. You know what I mean? This is kind of the good guy discount type way of speaking to people. I mentioned that later.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Okay, yeah. So we get to Starbucks, Main Street Roasters. Main Street Roasters remote. Main Street Roasters with a green woman logo. that later. Okay. Yeah. So, so we get to Starbucks, uh, main street roasters, uh, like a green woman logo. I don't know. Yeah. Honestly, I think they serve main street beans and if they don't, I'm just boycotting. Um, no, we get there, we're going there before top golf. And, uh, I think like the day before we had also gone to main street roasters, remote location, uh, Midwest. And, uh, yeah, it was, it was the day of, it was also gone to Main Street Roasters' remote location, Midwest. And yeah, it was the Saturday. It was the grande bout de where it was like, oh, we need coffee or else we're going to die before your show.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Anyway, he was like, check to see if they have pumpkin spice. I was like, I don't think so. It was literally 110 degrees. I don't think they have pumpkin spice yet. It would be dangerous for them to be making it. So I asked them in the drive-th window. They said, no, no problem. So then the next time we go, there's a long drive-through line. So I was like, let's just go in real quick and grab it and go. And he's like, uh, do you guys have pumpkin spice, uh, cold brew or cold foam, whatever? And they're like, uh, Thursday. And the way she said Thursday,
Starting point is 00:07:21 she kind of looked, she kind of bounced her eyes around when she said it and we're like, Oh, I was like, wait a second. But you guys, you guys have it now, right? Like you have it in stock. And she's like, uh, she's like, kind of like starting to look around at the other employees. Like, are they here in this conversation? Cause if so, I don't, I don't want to get in trouble. She's like, I mean, yeah, we've had it. We've had it here for a couple of days for just the employees. And Jensen's like, so, you know, I don't know if he said it or if I said it, whatever. We were just like, okay, so can we just try some of that? And she just looked around.
Starting point is 00:07:51 She's like, I'm going to ring it up as a mocha. Don't tell anybody. And Jensen was like, like thought I was, you know, Gordon Gekko. I don't know what the best salesman, that's not a salesman, whatever. It was Mark Cuban. Like, it was like, dude, how do you do? And so as we're leaving, he was like on, on a high from this, you know, pumpkin spice, cold foam. He's like, dude, do you just do that all the time? And I was like, you should see me get an extra large ice cream cone or extra tall,
Starting point is 00:08:17 extra tall ice cream cone. And I told him, I was like, I only like if that situation, if I were to ask that and I was by myself and they would have said, oh, it's coming out on Thursday, I'd be like, oh, okay, gotcha. But when I have a friend with me, I'm always way more like encouraged. I'd like ABP always be performing. Oh yeah. Always like, yeah. Like, you know, even with TJ, like TJ and I, like I was just much, not that I wouldn't be friendly to somebody if it was just me and TJ or sorry, me and the employee. But like with TJ, it's like, I'm going to have a little more fun with this person because that way TJ or Jensen, this case could like kind of balance me out to where I didn't seem like I was a jerk. Like, okay, you guys have pumpkin spice. Can you please hook it up? Like, you know? And so he just thought
Starting point is 00:08:58 it was the coolest thing ever. It was like telling everybody, he's like, yeah, Brad, Brad could get anything he wants. I don't know how he did that. You and i was like dude it's because i mean jensen's more charming than anybody like he's he's a stud and so it was like together we could we could move mountains jensen you could i had had it written down that jensen has encouraged me i feel like i already like try and like go above and beyond and how i treat strangers how how I treat like service workers, hourly workers, but like Jensen takes it to another level. I'm like, I want to be more like Jensen. Like the way he just like, it's not just like,
Starting point is 00:09:32 I'm going to be really polite. Oh, I'm going to make sure to like, I don't know, take an interest in what's right. He is like, Hey, what is your name? Hey, how is your day going? Hey, how can I make it better? It's like, he's the one working in the service industry. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:44 You know, talking to someone serving us at Topgolf. I mean, yeah, he is a pastor. He loves Jesus and he represents Jesus very well. Like he's just like, yeah, he's just very intentional, very loving. We went to, uh, our church had a men's worship night last night and we went to it. And as we're leaving, you know, there's a lot of guys, it's like 300 men at this thing, like a lot of men. And so I'm not saying hide up people. I don't know very much, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Yeah. Men's fraternity, dude. I was going to say 300. Yeah. Every man a warrior. Sounds like a battle of Thessalonica to me. No,
Starting point is 00:10:13 but we're walking past this man. I mean, he's probably 75 years old. I wasn't going to say anything to the guy. And just like very intentionally, he goes, have a great night. The guy was like taking it back.
Starting point is 00:10:23 He's like you too. You know? And yeah, had so many conversations like squaring up a 75, intentionally just goes, have a great night. The guy was like taking it back. He's like you too. And yeah, had so many conversations like squaring up a 75 year old. Yes. Hey, have a good night. It wasn't even like a quick, like, we'll see ya. It was like, it was like very much like, I am talking to you. Have a great night. You know? So yeah, he's, he's just not afraid to have conversations with people and have intentional conversations quickly, you know, um, which is very admirable. So yeah, it's been so fun having him around the past. Yeah. However many days, 15, I think he got here on Thursday and today's Wednesday, he's leaving tonight. So full week. Yeah. So fun. So, um, but yeah, uh, I will talk about Jensen. We went golfing
Starting point is 00:11:02 with him yesterday. Okay. Um, Yeah. Jake, Isaac, Jensen, Brad. So Jake, and we did what's called a scramble. If you guys don't know what a scramble is, it's like eggs. Yeah. It's just, yeah. Basically just make eggs before you put it. That's all you need. No. It's a, it's a competition where you're on a team with somebody else or multiple people and you just use one person's shot from each stage. So like, okay, some, you all drive the ball at the beginning, but the best drive ball is the one you use. That's the, that's the drive, you know? So like, that's nice for, so Jake and I were on a team, uh,
Starting point is 00:11:39 and Jake is much better than me. And so we use his ball 95% of the time, every once in a while, you know, we use my putt, um, stuff like that. But, um, that just makes it a little bit, just alleviates some of the pressure of like, I gotta be really good at this, whatever. So Jake played the first nine holes, which was great. Um, and then left. And so then, uh, my, my team went from me and Jake versus Isaac and Jensen to me and Jensen versus Isaac fun Fun. Yeah. Which was great. Um, and I think I've decided first and foremost that I am a nine hole golfer right now. Like I think I, when it's this warm or just at your skill level. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Fair. That's maybe that's both. I think, I think I just have like a mental endurance of nine holes. And then I'm just like, Trey kind of talks about that too. He feels like he loses focus after 12 holes. Like,
Starting point is 00:12:23 like I don't feel, I didn't feel like physically tired, but like my shots are just considerably worse and worse and worse at the end of the day. And to the point where it was like, this is getting ridiculous. I don't even know if I want to play, you know, like, like, uh, and so we were never using my ball. Uh, but you know, we have to still go get the ball in order to keep playing with it. And so Jensen and I are driving Jensen's driving. I'm, uh, picking up the ball and you know, we have to still go get the ball in order to keep playing with it. And so Jensen and I are driving Jensen's driving. I'm picking up the ball and you know, like there's this thing in golf. I don't know if it's a thing, but like, it's pretty common.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Like as you're driving in the golf cart, just bend over while the golf cart's going and scoop it. Yeah. Have never been great at it. Uh, not the most flexible guy in the world. Not the most, you know, nimble bend over kind of guy. I hate the ground. I will say I have, I've died to my, um, to myself, to my pride instead of like, yeah, bending over alone and scooping is difficult. I'll just drop to a knee. I'm not too proud to
Starting point is 00:13:15 drop to a knee in the golf cart. So you're, I would have loved to hear this advice yesterday. Should have told you before. Okay. So you're still like, you're still doing it all in one motion as the car's going, but you're on a knee rather than like bending all the way. Okay. So basically we're in this course and this course is pretty hilly. Like, um, it's called swope, but it could be called slow slope. Yeah. It's like a kid with a speech impediment named it. Yeah. Yeah. It's got a lot of swopes. Um, and so we're picking up, I'm going to pick up my ball. Um, and I, I literally have never successfully done the bend over thing. Um, but I'm like, I'm going to do it this time. I think I can do it. Swap scoop, you know? And so, and Jensen's a bigger guy. And so to me, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:13:58 I can, I can put a lot of my weight here and not be too worried about anything. And so I start leaning over and I'm, you know, the, the golf cart like has those bars on both sides of the front. And so I'm holding onto one of the bars pretty good. And I'm leaning over to try to get it. And I'm like, I'm, I'm, you know, 90% out of the golf cart. Right. And, and, uh, we get close to the ball and I miss it. I don't, I don't get it. And, and I thought Jensen sees that. I don't get, I don't know why he would have in hindsight, but, um, right after, and as I'm, I'm like, you know, reaching down to try to get this thing, I realized like,
Starting point is 00:14:36 oh, I don't know if like, I have enough core strength to get back up, you know, kind of thing. I'm like, I'm like committed down here now. And as he's doing that, or as I'm doing that, Jensen thinks I get the ball and I'm coming back up. And so he starts turning back up this hill. It's like a little bit of a slope. And so all of a sudden, the golf cart goes from being pretty flat with me falling off the side to then all of a sudden being on a hill. Now you're on the low side.
Starting point is 00:15:03 Me falling off the side. And I'm hanging on. And I start feeling like, dude, this is about to tip this, this thing, this golf cart is going under. And so I, I don't know. I, in my head, I was like, you know, there's fight or flight. I chose to fly it. And it wasn't much of a flight. It was more just like a, I fell out of the golf cart. So I just, I just bailed. I bailed on the golf cart and just, and I asked Jensen later, I was like, what were you thinking the whole time? He's like, I mean, I, he's like, I thought you were going to fall and kind of roll a little bit. He's like, you fell and just kind of planted your face into the ground. It's humid out. Oh my gosh. Yeah. So I'm, I just literally, I bailed and we're just laughing and I'm trying to like
Starting point is 00:15:42 laugh it off. But at the same time, I was like, dang, that hurt a lot worse than I thought it was going to hurt. I did not. Like I said, I was not gracefully falling. Um, so anyway, I get my ball and we're trying to laugh it off.
Starting point is 00:15:53 He feels so bad. I'm like, I don't think you did anything wrong. If anything, I'm glad that I bailed. Cause I think I could have tipped that golf cart. Uh, and that could have really hurt both of us anyway.
Starting point is 00:16:03 But like we go and drive up to the next hole and I start like seeing stars and like, like all of a sudden it's like my whole like vision is like almost completely like blurry and my ears, like, like the, the sound of the sudden just like muffles my sound, like ears starting to smell kind of bread. Like luckily, yeah. Luckily I had a, luckily I had some ice from the turn and so I like took ice and was like putting it on my face but Isaac had no idea what was going on he's like he's like Brad what you want me to just hit for you what are you doing and I'm like like struggling I was like don't faint Brad just do not faint don't faint and I think what it was it was so hot outside yesterday combined with you know the fact that like when you hurt yourself, you kind of get like a rush of warmth kind of. And so I wasn't like that hurt, but I think I was
Starting point is 00:16:49 like dehydrated compared, you know, compounded with like, I'm a little bit warm. And all of a sudden I was just like, Oh boy. Yeah. Your body should keep you alive. Yeah. And so I was trying to like find humor. So I didn't make Jensen feel bad about everything. So I was like, yeah, it's probably better if you just hit my ball for me anyway, it's going to go farther. You know, I'm like, try not to pass out. Luckily didn't pass out. Everything was okay. But you missed a, you missed the experience there. I've kind of been there with Isaac driving me for, cause yeah, you, a good amount of you is hanging out of the cart. And as soon as I scooped it, then he would take like a hard left and so like centrifugal force whipped me out of there and dude it's really hard to hang on right it's like
Starting point is 00:17:29 it's like uh when you're tubing or something yeah yeah you know whipped out to the right you're off the wake and you're like i don't want to look up like i think i got this but i think the tube might fall over yeah so yeah i've been there anyway it was a, it was a fun, fun time, fun memory. But my wrist this morning is like really sore. Like, geez, I don't know. You got thrown from the cart. Dude, Isaac hurt his wrist again. We talked last week that he broke it almost hitting his own knee or trying to hit his
Starting point is 00:17:56 own knee and hitting his bed last night. We were opposite. Yeah. Yeah. Shoot. Um, trying to hit his knee. Yeah. When he gets mad, he's punching his own knee, trying to get him to stop. He hurt himself again. Yeah. Yeah. Shoot. Um, trying to hit his knee. Yeah. When he gets mad, he's punching me, trying to give him a stop. He hurt himself again. Yeah. Last night we were,
Starting point is 00:18:08 um, we filmed some videos with, uh, tennis people, Kansas city people know this guy, Jack sock. He's won Wimbledon a couple of times, us Olympic gold medalist. Yeah. No big deal. Really good tennis player. Anyway, he's kind of transitioning to pickleball, which you can imagine some jokes in there. Sure. Yeah. But anyway, so he was down to film with us. He's a Kansas City guy, and we filmed with him. And anyway, we were just sitting in this area that I think like kind of like some nice felt seating kind of things have been put down just to make a bench look nicer. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:41 And they had stapled it in, and one of the staples was up, and Isaac just like put his his hand and like his wrist down it's like put all his weight on it and he's just like ah ah and they're just like a staple like in his skin and he's trying to like pick it like out of his skin and i was like dang uh why does this always happen how does that happen to him yeah yeah jensen was saying the same thing like after he saw me fly out of the golf cart, he's like, oh, I did it again. Like he's like stuff like that just happens. And I was like, stuff like that happens to you. So I don't know if maybe it's just one of those things, but I did it again. How was it filming with Jack? It was pretty good. I mean, you never know. I was kind of trying to prep Isaac and Scott. I've been in these situations a handful of times where it's like you're getting a big name, but they are not used to doing comedy sketches. And so I was like,
Starting point is 00:19:28 let's just, we don't really know what we're going to get. If anything is ever awkward, just power through, we know we're going to edit it out afterwards. Just let's just be nice and not ask too much of this guy. But overall he was, um, I would say he's better than average on camera. He did a pretty good job. Yeah. So, um, he only had like 20 minutes. So we rapid fired two different videos and I think there'll be great. And yeah, he was a really cool guy. And wow. Apparently right before that he was golfing with Patrick Mahomes. Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah. I knew of him. Like he's our age ish, right? Yeah. Maybe a year younger, maybe exactly our age. Like I remember him in high school. I did not know that he became such a good tennis player. Like I did not, I had not heard that. I knew he like i remember him in high school i did not know that he became such a good tennis player like i did not i had not heard that i knew he was like a stud in high
Starting point is 00:20:09 school but like yeah he went 80 and 0 in high school yeah like i remember him just being like oh this guy's amazing but i was like okay a lot of people are amazing in high school that don't do anything later on in life so so yeah because 20 minutes though. We had like 20 minutes with them and just, yeah. Cranked out two videos. And so is that kind of fun? Like, Hey, we got, we got to hustle through this thing. Totally. Yeah. I mean, it was, we were very prepared, so it didn't feel too stressful. It was just like kind of coaching them up and yeah. Asking them to do things and making them feel comfortable. And what videos were they? What did you guys do? One was a video that we had done in golf. And so we did a PigWall version of like,
Starting point is 00:20:50 what's in the bag, pro versus amateur, where the pro is like, just talk about what's actually in your bag. Yeah, I got multiple paddles, extra pair of shoes, extra socks, lead tape, over grip, yada, yada. And then amateur, it'll be like, let's see, there's an orange peel.
Starting point is 00:21:05 I remember the last time I had an orange. Milky Way wrapper. Yeah, yeah. This looks like, I hope it's melted chocolate. I don't know what this is. Here's a baseball. That's kind of random. I guess they used, whatever.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Right. And then that's the comedic side. So we start off with that. It's like, that's a pretty light lift for him. You don't need to even be funny. Just get him used to talking on camera. Just tell me what's in your bag. Let the camera roll for three minutes.
Starting point is 00:21:24 And then from there, I had actually actually already we had already written a video called like tennis players trying to play pickleball or something and then we had the opportunity to film with jack was like oh perfect let's do that video with jack yeah and then a good amount of the community will probably recognize that like oh this is perfect and so it was just like yeah video was just like it started off us sitting down next to each other. And I was like, I think he says like, dude,
Starting point is 00:21:47 I'd love to try pickleball. I was like, yeah, you're played. He's like, I mean, I won Wimbledon. I was like,
Starting point is 00:21:51 what is that? A Selkirk pad? I don't, what is that? I don't understand. There's so many pedals out there. Yeah. And so then it's just a lot of him just like serving overhanded.
Starting point is 00:21:59 I'm like, all right, scores nine, nine. He's like, okay, deuce, you know,
Starting point is 00:22:02 and it's like us just like, no, that's not it. Yeah. Right. That kind of vibe. So that's fun. See how it turns out. That's cool. Um, have you seen, I saw a clip of pickleball the other day where some guy got in trouble for stepping too hard. Yeah. Loud. Not a good look for the sport. Like what in the world is like all the
Starting point is 00:22:17 comments are like, dude, people already make fun of us. We can't be calling this, you know, like people already looked down on like the pickleball community. Yeah. I saw like the clip and it was like, it was like a match point, like a big point. And I couldn't even figure out, I, I tried not to read the comments before I could figure out what was going on. You have to watch it a couple of times,
Starting point is 00:22:33 even understand what's happening. So I thought it was like, cause it was double. So it was him and his, his partner, his woman. And I thought the woman was the one making a mistake. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:22:41 I don't see anything wrong here. What in the world could they be calling? And apparently just like, yeah, too loud of feet. Like when he like chopped his feet, when he got to the kitchen, it was too loud, which is just, how do you call that a match point? Yeah. I mean, I understand, like, I guess golf, you need quietness, you know, to, I don't know, practice or to have concentration, but like, that's part of sports is like being loud, like squeaking your shoes. Who cares? Like if, if, if, if the crowd is yelling, they're not going to be like, well, too loud crowd. He can't focus. It's like, he should be able to, he's a pro athlete, right? He should be able to block out the noise.
Starting point is 00:23:16 That's so funny. It was crazy. That reminds me to just be one of the things we'd written in the tennis video for Jack was like, Hey, where are the ball boys at? And when we said it to him, he's like, dude, that's actually so true though. He was like, I'm big on like, why don't we just have some kids out here just chasing these balls down? He's like, I'm having to go run over and they're underneath the bleachers
Starting point is 00:23:32 and I'm having to pick it up. The professionals don't even have ball boys. Yeah, not in pickleball. They have to go like chase down their own ball. That's interesting. And so it was fun. I was like, oh, all right. We'll just speak from the heart then.
Starting point is 00:23:41 I was like, just let me know how you feel about it then. Right. He's like, yeah, I'm big on that. Yeah, we're gonna go. the heart then. I was like, just let me know how you feel about it. Right. He's like, yeah, I'm big on that. Yeah. We're going to go. There's a professional pickleball association tournament in Kansas city this week. And so we're going to go do that.
Starting point is 00:23:52 I got invited to sort of, whatever we can talk about dusty, um, to sing the national anthem. Yeah. Cause on the podcast you had said like, I, I kind of got,
Starting point is 00:24:02 you know, Hank for national anthem, maybe the Royals and dusty for Vulcan is like, well, Anthem, maybe the Royals, and Dusty from Vulcan is like, well, how about instead of the Royals, it's the PPA in Kansas City. And I'm like, oh yeah, maybe like primetime. Like the final match of the day. Dusty's like, how about
Starting point is 00:24:15 every morning at 7 a.m.? You just like wake up, go sing the National Anthem, come back to bed. Yeah, right. All right. Did my time. I'm going to go get my Main Street Roasters and head on back. Yeah, it was just like, my voice is still a little shot from Grande Boo. Oh, yeah. I didn't even really notice. It's gotten a lot better even from yesterday to today.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Yeah. It's pretty much back now. Yeah, it's not too bad. So it's never been hurt. Mine's never been sore. Mine's just been like, people are like, dude, your dad Saturday night was like, I bet you're just dying. And I was like, I feel fine, honestly, but the voice does not sound fine.
Starting point is 00:24:50 So, which is interesting to like, like does golf, like, do they do a national anthem before they play golf? Eh, no, not that I know of. Yeah. Not that I know of either. It feels like when, cause golf is so spread out, there's not like one place where all the fans meet and then they go to every hole, right? And that's kind of how like pickleball tournaments are too. Like it's a very spread out thing.
Starting point is 00:25:13 I feel like there's not like one central starting point. I imagine, I could be wrong, but I imagine it's going to be like enclosed though at least. Like it's like one area. I don't know. I don't know. Hey, we've never been to, well, you've been to some. I've never been to one. Yeah. I was here last night, too.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Oh, it started already? They did a little charity exhibition thing last night. Gotcha. How was that? It was good. There was a guy trying to think. I got to hear
Starting point is 00:25:43 maybe one of the worst public speakers I've ever heard of all time. Oh. And not in a, like he was terrible because he, well, I don't know. It would just be like, all right. So everyone, like they have built these like grandstands for everyone to look at. And then a guy comes out to the center of the court. So it's like, oh, everyone's getting quiet.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Okay. Okay. okay uh so tonight we've got the uh we got a little got a little something for you guys tonight on tuesday and then everyone just started clapping just like fill the silence it's like, oh, God. We love Tuesdays. Okay. Let's see. So I guess he just came up there with no plan. Why don't we introduce who we got? Well, I should probably thank some people. Well, I guess, do you thank who helped or do you thank your wife first? I don't know which one. I'll thank my wife first.
Starting point is 00:26:44 One of those, like, yeah, like thinking out loud up there. Yeah, and just like, oh, maybe this will be kind of funny that I'm, or I don't know, maybe he's not thinking he's funny, but wow. So just tough, tough seed. That was like, all right. Because people are being respectful and listening. Yes, he's got the audience. Everyone's so quiet.
Starting point is 00:27:04 He talks for like 15 minutes. And then another guy gets up and then he was like, then he reintroduces everyone he introduced. So tonight, we've got for you Wimbledon winner, Jack Sog, next up we've got,
Starting point is 00:27:19 so he's trying to introduce, so this girl's name is Anna Lee Waters. She's the best women's pickleball player in the world. She happens to be 16 years old. It really is kind of crazy. She just wins best women's pickleball player in the world. She happens to be 16 years old. It really is kind of crazy. Cool. She just wins every single event. Wow. So he tells this whole story.
Starting point is 00:27:30 He's like, you know, she used to live so-and-so. She was then displaced by Hurricane Irma, so they moved over here. Oh, wow. And she's been doing all this, and ever since then, she's taken the pickleball world by storm. Oh.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Like four claps. Everyone's like, geez. Can we just play pickleball? Can we just stop the public speaking? No one's a comedian. No one does this. Let's just have them play. So that was a little brutal. Pickleball is still like
Starting point is 00:28:01 needs to come a long way before I think it's at the tennis level. It's at the golf level. Well, yeah. And in some ways, like the tennis and golf is more subdued probably. Like I'm sure they're not getting up there. I don't know. Pickleball is kind of more of a party sport.
Starting point is 00:28:16 I feel like then golf and pickleball or then golf and tennis. Would you say party sport or like casual? Then, you know, there's like fancy. Yeah. There's like almost no barrier to entry and pickleball as compared to like the money it takes to get into golf or the time it takes to get into golf. Right. But my point is like, yeah, the branding of pickleball, I think is less, I don't know. Like if, if, if that guy got up there and he's like, yeah, kind of hyping up the crowd, I think that would be appropriate. Whereas like if it's, if you're at Wimbledon, I don't think people
Starting point is 00:28:46 are going to be like, Wimbledon, how we doing? Yeah, that's right. Let's give it up for Jack Sock. You know, whatever. And so, yeah, he could definitely have some more energy up there. But maybe he's like, I'm used to... I come from the tennis world. Yeah, this kind of stuff. I don't know. I could be wrong, but...
Starting point is 00:29:03 Anyway, it's good. It's fine. Yeah. It'll be fun to hear some more stories from it this next... next episodes. Speaking of golf real quick, Mood Swings just got DM'd by a little company
Starting point is 00:29:14 by the name of Cozy Earth randomly. Oh! It's kind of funny. I don't even know if they totally even understand the connection. Maybe they do, but... Surely. You don't think so?
Starting point is 00:29:26 Either way, I hope you guys sponsor the heck out of them because, man, are they worthy of sponsorship. They are. And they are sponsoring us once again. Yes. Cozy Earth, they're great to sleep on. They're great to do magic tricks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Whatever you need a bed sheet for. Yeah. They got it for you. Yeah, we gave away those Cozy Earth bed sheets and those socks and at, uh, at Sinzetti's that night, some of the girls got the socks and they're like, those socks are the softest socks of her life. Yeah. So that's a good, that's a good thing that I don't think, I think we, we focus on the bed sheets. We focus on the high ticket items that
Starting point is 00:29:58 are, you know, not always something that you're readily going to buy. That's true. But there's so many other options of things. They have socks. They have sleep masks. You would sleep better, I'm convinced, with something called Cozy Earth on your face. That's true. Everything is so soft.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Just get something soft from them. Get some loungewear. I can't wait. I can't wait. One more time. I can't wait to watch some Chiefs football and some Cozy Earth socks with the roaring fire going this fall and this winter. There's going to be nothing like it.
Starting point is 00:30:31 I think you're going to sleep better if you wear some socks. Some people are like, I don't wear socks to sleep. If they're Cozy Earth socks, you're not taking them off. You'll wear them on your hands. That's how cozy they are. Buy two pairs. The one that we sent out was or threw out there where they had like a four pack and they looked so awesome i secretly wanted to like keep one for
Starting point is 00:30:49 myself i know i was like ah they're kind of they're kind of pink so i might get some you know more more you know neutral not less neutral colors whatever but yeah that's a good word i feel like we do focus on the bed sheets because that's what we have but i mean they do have they have bath towels washcloths hand towels, bath mats, bath robes if you're a robe guy. I want to be a robe guy. I think I will. A vacation robe guy.
Starting point is 00:31:12 But I will only be a robe guy if we can get like 30% off. Prad. What? You are in luck. What is it? We can get 30% off from CozyEarth.com? No, no, no. I can't wait to tell you that you can actually get 30% off from CozyEarth.com? No, no, no. What? I can't wait to tell you
Starting point is 00:31:25 that you can actually get 35% off. That's more than what you asked for. Wa-wa-wee-wa! I would not be good on Shark Tank because I just negotiated
Starting point is 00:31:36 the wrong direction. 35% off is an insane deal. It's an exclusive offer just for Ghost Runners listeners. 35% off site-wide when you use code GRKC. That is amazing. I mean, that really is kind of crazy, right? You're going to get bath towels at some
Starting point is 00:31:50 point anyway, hand towels. It doesn't need to be bed sheets. 35% off is insane and it's tough to calculate. It is. It's tough to do mental math with. Like 10% off. Great. I got it. Yeah, I know. 35%. Who knows how much it's going to be? I'm going to put it in there and you're going to be amazed at how much.
Starting point is 00:32:05 I did not expect 35% to be that much off. CozyEarth.com. Check them out. You guys know them and love them. I think the Cozy Earth snowball is about to hit for wintertime here. People are going to get them, and then they're going to comment. They are not lying. These are the most incredible thing ever.
Starting point is 00:32:24 And then people are just going to be boom, boom, boom, cozy, cozy, cozy. The fall is coming. So the earth is about to get cozier. Yeah. Itself. That's what they say. We're on a tilt 23.5. So good for you. We have seasons 23.5, which is less than 35. Yeah. How do stop losses work on Kraken? Starting point is 00:34:46 No. Sounds gross. He's Norwegian, so that's probably why. This is just a random little current events for you, Jacob. He's a guy from Norway who ran a new record for the two-mile run. He ran it in seven minutes and 54 seconds. Wow. Broke the four-minute mile twice. Yes. He's just sprinting for 3,200 meters.
Starting point is 00:35:06 How fast could you run one mile right now? Could you run one mile in seven minutes, 54 seconds? It'd be close. I don't know if I'm running three-quarters of a mile in that. Optimal weather when the earth is cozy. Which is what for you? 62 degrees. Really?
Starting point is 00:35:27 That feels like good mile. I was going to say 55 for me. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Cause I'm going to, I'm going to, you know,
Starting point is 00:35:31 acclimate quick when I'm starting to run. Yeah. I'm going to get warm. Then yes, I could beat them. But today, you know, not today.
Starting point is 00:35:39 I mean, everyone's feeling it right now. Crazy heat wave. You know, what's crazy too, is looking at the humidity at midnight. The humidity would be like at 95% at midnight. That's crazy. It's pretty impressive. Yeah. Anyway. Yeah. I don't know if I could break an eight minute mile in the heat right now. And
Starting point is 00:35:53 this dude literally lapped you. I mean, he, he, I can't imagine. And he's Norwegian. Yeah. It's like, they don't, you don't typically see them excel in these. What do you see the Norwegian's excel in? When the earth is really cozy. Yeah. Nordic. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They're great on the bobsled. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:13 I feel like they dominate the Winter Olympics and also just like, I don't know, NATO. They do well within NATO. They do just fine in the United Nations. Yeah. Okay. So good for them. Yeah, I don't know. I just saw that and I was like, that's wild.
Starting point is 00:36:28 Because if I absolutely, like somebody was like, hey, Brad, I will give you a million dollars right now to break, let's say, 10-minute mile, I would run my baguettes off, but I would still struggle a little bit through that. You know what I mean? Like 10-minute mile. For how much money? A million dollars. I bet you could do it. I would think I would try so hard to, I would also probably fall like I did on that golf cart. Yeah. You might have some complications afterwards, but you would have a million dollars to pay for it. That's yes, exactly. Give me one
Starting point is 00:36:57 of those, you know, like foil coats that they give you. Why do they have that? Why do they wrap them in like a pizza box? Like in the chick-fil-a sandwich foil bag just like on like yeah reverse that and put it on you i don't know why why do they get saran wrapped or whatever that is aluminum foil wrapped yeah no one knows yeah oh timing you had your hand up what is it time sense and sensibility uh yeah uh willoughby and stuff yeah okay uh timon was just saying something but he's too shy mike cut out timon uh recently changed his facebook profile picture he's out yeah yeah his face is out yeah right congrats how does it feel uh a little scary it was a little scary it was like wow um don't know what people i mean people ghosties are just nice people they're not gonna like say mean things but it's like you know i was
Starting point is 00:37:52 like i mean anyone else who's any any like other person who's like been faceless i was gonna say do you about dream yeah yeah yeah yeah i was like what if it's a dream situation? Yeah. Brad, do you know about dream? No. I honestly, I would- I've never had dream before. Just last night, Bo had dream. I've had nightmare. I've had dream. It is funny. Did you say last night Catherine had a Titanic dream?
Starting point is 00:38:17 Yeah. That's kind of fun. She's been really into, Hattie and Catherine have been really into Titanic lately and Catherine's just subconsciously thinking about it. Iceberg straight ahead! Dream. What's up with Dream? Dream is
Starting point is 00:38:30 one of the biggest gamers and streamers out there and for years is it Minecraft? That was his thing, right? Yeah. I think so. For years he just wore a mask. He was faceless and he was like VE in a way. Irony. He was the face of Minecraft and Twitch and all this. And then, I don't know, six months ago, nine months ago,
Starting point is 00:38:45 he revealed his face, and everyone was kind of like, and we're just kind of mean to him. And I think for a while, he tried to be like, it doesn't bother me. You know, the haters, I knew that would happen. And he has since put the mask back on. No way. Eventually, it's like, okay, this is rough. People are really
Starting point is 00:39:02 not being nice to me about this. So you guys may never see me again i'm sorry if that happens to you tymon i remember one person was like i thought time was going to be short and way wider yeah one of our friends said that who was it i think gunner was like no reason why i just thought tymon was going to be overweight it's like i have no reason to believe that i just for some reason thought he would be i did get a couple people to say that they imagined me shorter i was was like, thank you. I mean, yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:29 I don't get called tall, but I think I got called tall twice. This past weekend. I don't know if it was my favorite thing about the roast, but underrated moment was so Tymon, like we said, killed the roast. Did a hilarious job. One of the things he made fun of
Starting point is 00:39:44 Catherine for was the way we named our kids. Yeah. I don't remember. Do you remember? That was such a good joke. Do you remember what you said? I think it was like, oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:39:54 It was the first time. Yeah. The first time I heard like a story about Hattie, I was like, oh, how nice. Like Catherine and Brad have their great grandma staying. Yeah. Yeah. And so Tymon, you know, absolutely kills it. Garrett, the host of the night comes up and is transitioning the next person and was like timing out of all people to make fun of somebody
Starting point is 00:40:12 else's name. Your name is timing. And, and he's like, and really I thought it should be Timon, you know, cause that's what it looks like. Everyone thinks that. And so he's like timing, stand up real quick. And I was sitting right next to time. And he's like, and Brad, you stand up too. And I stood up and did not see this coming at all. He goes to moan Pumba. And I was like, Oh my gosh, I thought that was such a funny, funny thing. So yeah, cause time is tall, slender guy. And then you got big warthog over here. Speaking of that, um, I believe it was Angela Birdwell. I was talking to the morning of the acai bowl and everything. She was like, I thought of something for you guys. TB&J.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Oh. How about that? That's good. Could be a shirt someday. Time of getting first billing though? Don't know about that. First billing. That's fun. Pretty good. Somebody else gave us the idea. I'm sorry. I don't remember who it was. Taylor Swift, Eras,
Starting point is 00:41:04 all that stuff. Having a shirt that says I'm in my ghosty era. I've seen a who it was, but you know, Taylor Swift eras, all that stuff. Uh, having a shirt that says I'm in my ghosty era. I've seen a couple of Instagram captions that have said that. Yeah. Pretty fun. And then somebody else, uh, Amy rocket and her friend,
Starting point is 00:41:15 Sonny, uh, had shirts that were kind of like the Mahomes. Oh yes. Kelsey thing, but yeah, uh, made it for the ghost ghost writers.
Starting point is 00:41:24 I was like, that's a pretty cool the ghost ghost writers. I was like, that's a pretty cool shirt. I did. It was a cool shirt. So they said they went to somewhere the morning of probably McLean's or something and major roasters. I mean, and someone was like, Oh, is this your podcast? And they were like, no, actually, but let's tell you about it. And so they were disciples for us since, since the ground debut, I've been to McLean's and Chick-fil-A again. Um, and both times they didn't know who I was, but they knew about the ghost friends, which was cool. Whoa. How, how, how'd they tell me how that conversation started? Uh, well, I will say like, uh, one of
Starting point is 00:41:58 the girls, like they were like, you know, at McLean's, I always asked for your name. I said, Brad. And they're like, is that like, go like, are you a, the guy that does the YouTube videos? I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then Jensen, of course was like, uh, yeah. And have you heard about the ghost runner saying, it's just like, yeah, a ton of people were in here this weekend talking about ghost runner stuff. Uh, that was cool. And then we went to Chick-fil-A. I can talk about that too later, but I'm going to Chick-fil-A and, uh, I don't know, maybe Jensen again said something about ghost runners and, or like asking this employee, like, Oh, were you there for the event? Oh no. The ghost runner saying, I heard that was huge. Uh, and he's like, you guys, you guys
Starting point is 00:42:34 listen to ghost runners. And it was one of those days where I was like, yeah, I I'm, I'm part of the ghost. I'm, I'm, he's, and he goes, which one are you? And I'm like, I just quickly, I was like, I'm the ghost. The other guy clearly I was like, I'm the ghost. The other guy clearly is the runner. I'm the ghost. He can run a sub eight minute mile if he really had to. Optimal positions. That's pretty funny.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Which one are you? Ghost. Pumbaa ghost. Right. Timon Pumbaa. I thought that was so funny. That was great. What were you going to say about Chick-fil-A?
Starting point is 00:43:02 Oh, yeah. So the other night, Catherine was not feeling great. What were you going to say about Chick-fil-A? Oh, yeah. So the other night, Catherine was not feeling great, and so Jensen and I took the kids to Chick-fil-A. Oh, fun. Jensen hadn't met my parents. And Georgianne. Well, yeah, I was getting there time. My podcast.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Your podcast. Jensen had not met my parents yet, and so I invited like 5.15 and said, Hey, Mom and Dad, we're going to Chick-fil-A at six o'clock if you're going to meet us. My dad naturally has 15 things going on. So he's, oh, I got perspectives class that I'm praying at until nine o'clock. And I was like, okay. But my mom was like, yeah, I'll come. Well, Tymon already said that part. So I knew your mom was coming. Yeah. Oh, you knew? Okay, great. Thanks, Tymon. Really cool, dude. So anyway, get there. My mom's
Starting point is 00:43:44 there. We're walking in, you know, three kids, Jen's and me and my mom, great combo. And then we walk in and Jen's, it goes, is that timing? I was like, of course it's time. Of course, time is hanging out here. Apparently time you've been hanging out there all day. Yeah. I'd been there since it was like that morning. I woke up at like 5.00 AM. I had like a early morning shoot with someone like do some videos, like before it got super hot, one of of them outside and I came straight to Chick-fil-A didn't just like worked on those videos like all day. That's the
Starting point is 00:44:10 dream all day working at Chick-fil-A it's so been there. Yeah, and so my mom like invited time and like she's like time. I should come eat with us. And so yeah, we had dinner me Jensen my mom time in and my three kids like it was awesome. It my three kids. It was awesome.
Starting point is 00:44:25 It was so fun. It was great. Tymon's like, yeah, I'll take a little break to eat with you guys. That'd be great. Tymon's like, yeah, I had breakfast here and lunch here. So yeah, I should probably have dinner here with you guys. That'd be fun. Yeah, absolutely. Kids went and played. I looked over at one point and Rosie just had her face completely smushed
Starting point is 00:44:41 against the window just looking at us. We're like, there's... She just got sick, but no problem. Yeah, it was the window. Just looking at us. We're like, there's, you know, she just got sick, but no problem. Uh, yeah,
Starting point is 00:44:48 it was fun though. Just good time at Chick-fil-A with the kids. That's pretty fun. I've never seen time in public. I bet it'd be a good time. I've seen him a few times and both times are right around there. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:56 So I'm at main street roasters North, uh, North campus. Yeah. Main street roasters, the next, uh, which you can get at main street roasters.com. Let's talk about it. Yeah. Main street roasters. Yeah. Main Street Roasters, Lenexa, which you can get at MainStreetRoasters.com.
Starting point is 00:45:06 Let's talk about it. Yeah. Main Street Roasters. Yeah, they're the best. They provide all the espresso beans for Grande Boo, Isaac and Catherine slinging some espresso. Maybe Rachel, too, is back there. Great espresso beans, great coffee beans.
Starting point is 00:45:21 You can get them ground. You can get them whole. Whatever your flavor is, MainStreetRoasters got it at MainStreetRoasters.com, promo code GRKC. They roast everything in-house. They're a local Midwest business, family-oriented, amazing customer service, and they've got online ordering for individual and wholesale. So get your own private label. Go crazy. It'll be fun. You should. I think that's a fun gift for someone. That's a really fun gift for somebody. Yeah. It's just private label, just something for somebody else. Just like, hey, I got you your own beans, but I also gave you your own company.
Starting point is 00:45:52 Groomsman gift or like, yeah, bridesmaid gift or party favors. Just thinking of you gift. Just thinking of you. Hey, early Labor Day gift. It's Monday gift. You know, any of them. Football season's almost here gift. Right.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Joe Burrow is terrible gift. Speaking of orange, Halloween's almost here gift. Gift's Monday gift. You know, any football season's almost here. A gift, right? Joe Burrow is terrible gift. Speaking of orange Halloween's almost here. Gift. Yeah. Speaking of Halloween's October 31st, that's also Isaac's birthday. So everyone sent Isaac's birthday beans gift. Yeah. So speaking of Isaac old Testament, what does that make you think of the flood rainy season, April showers, happy early April. Here's some beans. Happy honeymoon in Bahamas. Have some beans. All those things. All those things. It's very easy to find a gift
Starting point is 00:46:35 reason for someone. If you don't know, ask us. We'll give you one. We'll find a reason for you. All that to say, go to MainStreetRoasters.com and order some beans. Or merch. They. Or merch. They got great merch. I really like their branding a lot. Yeah, they do it right.
Starting point is 00:46:50 It's cool. So anyway, shout out to Haley and the Main Street Roasters team. They're great. I feel like you were going to say something. Nah. Wasn't that good? I mean, I got things, but not. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Bo and I went and got our haircut. That was a couple of weeks ago now. Um, it was only the second time Bo's been to this barber, you know, whatever we've talked about, um, him get his haircut before, but, uh, was, did a really great job, you know, just watched minions or something on TV the whole time, just had his mouth agape, just like looking. Um, but he gets done with it and you know, the, the barber just kind of offhandedly was like, man, he's got some great curls. Uh, he's like, you know, Patrick Mahomes has curls and that's all you need to say to him. That's all you need to say to him. And he just thinks it's the greatest thing in the world. And so now he just tells everyone he's got hair like
Starting point is 00:47:39 Patrick Mahomes, uh, you know, he's just like, I had dream last night. Yeah. Just dream, just dream of Patrick Mahomes. And I had the same head. And you know, like the day or two after he got his haircut, we were out playing on the deck, adequate deck. And he goes by the screen door and he sees his reflection.
Starting point is 00:47:56 He goes, Oh, my haircut's still there. It's just so funny. I still have my haircut. And so that's a funny way of seeing the world. Nothing is permanent. I need to take it all for granted.
Starting point is 00:48:11 And he said the same thing to me, I think, a day or two later. Like, Dad, your haircut's still there. I'm like, yeah, bud. Isn't that so fun? Really thought about and tell me how good idea, bad idea for this. I think Catherine would say awful idea. But as we were getting his haircut, the barber's like, what do you want to do with it? And, you know, I just said like, you know, make it all American looking my, my wife from Texas, if you know what I mean.
Starting point is 00:48:36 And he's like, well, I mean, if you really want to be all American, you would give him a mullet. And I thought to myself, and as he's cutting it, he kind of cut the sides to where it looks kind of mulledy. Bo looked pretty cool with a mullet, dude. I mean, I think it's fun to do. I mean, he's three, right? It'd be fun to just have a little mullet face. Right. To see how other people see it. What do people at church say?
Starting point is 00:48:53 How do you think about it? Yeah. How cool he would look with like, just like a, yeah, one of those like, you know, modern Gen Z looking mullets. Yeah. Is it kind of cut into a rat tail a little bit? Like, is it, are there sharp angles in the back? I think it could be. Yeah. Is it kind of cut into a rat tail a little bit? Like, is it, are there sharp angles in the back? I think it could be. Okay. And that's the kind of thing that Catherine would absolutely
Starting point is 00:49:09 hate. She's just so classic. Like she and her kids, Hattie, you know, like Hattie's not going to have like the trendy hairstyle probably. Uh, but I just, so I got home and I told the barber, I was like, if you lived, cause he's like probably 25 minutes from us. I was like, if you lived or if your office was five minutes from me, I would get it. I would go home and be like, Catherine, what do you think? Get her reaction and be like, it's a joke. We'll go back and get the real haircut. Unless, unless you like, you love it. So if you have kids out there with mullets, intentional mullets, not just like, you know, babies that grow hair more in the back on accident at first, like send us some pics. Cause I would love to see some baby mullets. That's fun. Yeah. Yeah. Anything from zero to six. Sure. Mullets. Yes, absolutely. That's fun. So, uh, something I wrote down this
Starting point is 00:49:55 week, people who cover their cars, you know, like they're, it's in their driveway, dude, what's under there. What? They never looked like they're that nice of cars too like it looks like that's a 1992 cutlass like that you're not you're not dominating with that car i just have so many questions about it like one all these people have garages would it kill you to just clean out your garage and then you don't have to cover the car also why have a car if it's permanently covered yeah like like that's gonna take a long time to cover that thing. You're not doing that every night. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:27 That's a permanent thing. Yes, a pretty permanent thing. Yeah. And what is best case scenario of your covered car? Are you protecting it to sell someday? Or is this just like, hey, three times a year, I like to break her out and drive it? Right.
Starting point is 00:50:43 Is that worth it to you? Optimal weather. Every time it storms, rains, and hails, you get nervous about this. Like no problem. I got it. I got my cover on it. Yeah. I don't know. There's no way that cover that cover protects against hail anyway. That's what I'm saying. You're still probably stressed when it hails. I mean, obviously there's like sun exposure damage, like to paint and stuff, but like, I don't know. Like, and it's funny that you said that because I was on a walk with Bo the other night and Bo noticed so many cars. There's a lot in our area. Yes. This neighborhood, everyone's covering their cars and the houses are not that nice.
Starting point is 00:51:13 So that's my point. Why don't you get a nicer house and sell the car? Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. Yeah. Cause, cause then you're assuming that car is not their main driver or else it wouldn't be covered. And so therefore you have an extra car, but you're in this like, you know, two bedroom house. I don't know. I go on a walk and I try to get better at standup comedy.
Starting point is 00:51:32 I come back and all I can think about is covered cars. Cause that's all I see. I'm like, well, I didn't get anything done. You and Bo both 100%. That's so funny. And I forget Bo didn't,
Starting point is 00:51:41 Bo said, Oh, I don't know. He said the car has clothes on, but he had, he had some like funny way of saying it. The car has pajamas. The car has a blanket on it or something like that.
Starting point is 00:51:50 I don't know what he said. It's just like, dude. It's just so funny that you noticed the same things that Bo's noticing. We're in a similar phase right now. Because you were looking. You were trying to observe things to be inspired for stand-up, right? I wasn't trying to. I already had things
Starting point is 00:52:05 written down i was just like coming going to like walking around just like rehearsing and okay yeah and but all i could see is just covered cars and i get so distracted this makes no sense somebody somebody make it make sense yeah in the comments yeah you got anything for that time oh timing you go ahead i don't think so i won't i won't cover my car when i get a car please don't uh speaking of bow i guess a little bit um slash jake i think you're you're you're quickly like moving the ranks rachel's still going to be top top tier for him but i think you're right right below it right now um i think hattie had a little garden date with rachel garden appointment garden appointment that's right and uh's right. And, uh, you
Starting point is 00:52:45 know, she, or Bo heard that and he's like, well, I want to have a play date with Mr. Jake. It's awesome. And so he's like, I'm going to invite Mr. Jake over. Uh, he'll, he can come tomorrow. And this was like, you know, the week before Grande, Wednesday of Grande. I was like, I think we're too, he's too busy right now. He's like, okay, maybe next week. And so we FaceTime you. And he asks you, can we do a play date? Whatever? Apparently, it turns out the Friday night of Grande Boo, we had a babysitter, Mackenzie Hanna, one of the sweetest, best, can handle our kids super well, does a great job. Apparently, Bo had a real bad tantrum going to bed.
Starting point is 00:53:19 And so the punishment, as of now, the punishment, the consequence is no play day with Mr. Jake. So he's got to earn that thing back. And my gosh, he was upset about it. Not happy to miss Mr. Jake's play day. No idea what you guys are going to do, what he has in his head of planning. I think he wants to show me his new room, his new bed setup. He's very excited about his bed these days, which is hilarious because this trend right now for him
Starting point is 00:53:46 is he sleeps on the floor. Like, we'll look at his monitor and it's like, where's Bo? He's moved every single, like all his blankets, all his pillows, all his stuffed animals to the floor. And I will have to go in there, you know, at 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock at night, pick him up and put him back in bed. That's so funny. Like, yeah, we got him in this bed.
Starting point is 00:54:03 The thing is, he always sleeps upside down hanging from his feet. So he's in that phase. So he's doing that. He's in that era. Three-nagers hanging like bats. I hate it. The books. The books always warn you. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:54:19 Yeah, it's fun. It was fun. Rachel and I, I think this is, yeah, last week we were watching the Johnny Manziel documentary and I got a FaceTime from you. I'm like, oh, this has got to be the kids. It was. It was fine. Rachel and I, I think this is, yeah, last week we were watching like the Johnny Manziel documentary. And I got a FaceTime from you. I'm like, oh, this has got to be the kids. And it was. And it was so fun. Bo was like front and center.
Starting point is 00:54:31 But Hattie is definitely there to help translate and kind of interpret. Right. Bo, he said maybe next week. Yeah. Okay. Okay. You know, whatever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:39 So fun. They were just talking about you. And I was like, well, let's just call him and ask him now. Yeah. It was great. Yeah. It was great. Yeah. It's great. It's great. Let's see what else I want to think. I still have plenty to talk about.
Starting point is 00:54:52 We didn't get to talk much about. I went to Branson the weekend before Granibu and you're going there this upcoming weekend. Yes, which is so fun of us. I'm so excited you get to take kids there. Oh, yeah, that's not till that's not till end of September. Oh, yeah. That's Labor Day weekend.
Starting point is 00:55:06 Yeah, which is going to be. Or no, end of September. Yes. Sorry. Labor Day weekend is when I'm going with my friends for fantasy football draft. Fantasy, fantasy, fantasy. Oh, we got to talk about fantasy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:15 This episode. You go, Branson. All right. Branson, Ray. Hey, Tymon, keep us on tap. Yep, yep, yep. Branson, for Jake. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:55:22 Fantasy. And that's it. Okay. Can you keep talking about those two things? I think so. I'm so excited for you to take your kids because taking Rachel Coop to Branson is the closest thing you have
Starting point is 00:55:33 to taking your small children to Branson. She's great. But yeah, we had a blast. A couple of quick stories. One, when we met up with Josh and Maggie Mayer, which they're great, our manager, Joe Gilland, he's a stud. He's the, I eat the hot dog guy from back in the day. Josh Mayer or Joe? Joe
Starting point is 00:55:50 Gilland. Yeah. Yeah. And Josh Mayer, follow Josh Mayer. Yeah. Oh yeah. Just a great guy. He was on the pod. You guys know him. Yeah. And we just got hooked up all these nice courses. It was really great time of our life. Really humid, really sweaty. I had a couple of surprises for him, took him a few spots. One of them was that I wanted to go to... Downtown Branson has always had this magic store. And I was like, hey, I got a big show coming up. So I wanted to go to the magic store and see what they had.
Starting point is 00:56:13 Where is it? Is it by the 5 at night? Not quite the 5. It's by that ice cream shop on the corner when you turn to go by the bridge. With all the mannequins on the roof? Yes, creepy. Yes, creepy. Now that you say that, they may not have been there. They might've just recently taken them down or I'm just getting very used to what brands and I don't know.
Starting point is 00:56:30 There it is again. Okay. Pretty much. Yeah. Just a couple of stories down from that shop. Okay. And so we went in there and I made the mistake of, I think giving this guy too much information,
Starting point is 00:56:40 you know, he's like, what are you looking for? And I was like, so I was like this Saturday I'm doing, I'm doing a comedy magic show. I'm wanting something that works very well visually on a stage to 200 to 300 people. He's like, gotcha. I got just the thing.
Starting point is 00:56:55 This guy is wearing a shirt that was white but is now beige. He is wearing beige cargo shorts. His socks at one point were white. They have turned a little color. His shoes socks at one point were white and like they have kind of turned a little color. Okay. His shoes were one point white. Those are also kind of like an old copier color. You know, this guy's just beige doubt. Yeah. He's just, yeah. He, the, the, the, the, the color blockers, color guards on the detergent aren't working for him. Yeah. Yeah. And oh, I should yeah and oh i should have all right we're gonna do it right now i see a pen down here sweet okay we're gonna do it with this uh mechanical pencil and envelope great school supply by the way mechanical pencil so this guy would do this kind of a visual trick but
Starting point is 00:57:42 youtube.com get on YouTube.com. So pretend this front thing is a manila envelope, okay? So he would say like... I can do that. Okay, no problem. What's next? It's white, but it's now beige. And he was like, I've written something behind this manila envelope.
Starting point is 00:58:01 Is there... And it is a word. And it's a word I want you to think of right now is there any way in the world that i could think of the word you're thinking of and i said no and he reveals it and says no and so i was like oh nice and he's like thank you And tell me this, Brent. What is the opposite of off? On. That's right. It's on.
Starting point is 00:58:31 And let me ask you one more question. Dorothy, the lion, the wizard, where did they come from? Oz. That's right. They did. Turn the paper 90 degrees. Are you impressed by my jokes? No. That's right, you are yeah one more like turn yeah i don't know if there were any more turns that's funny that's that's a very branson like uh
Starting point is 00:58:52 comedy magician kind of thing that's what he opened with so then i was like okay okay there was actually way more to it we don't even need to get into it but i was like all right so all right let me backtrack the trick itself doesn't have to be funny. I was like, I'm a stand-up comedian. I will make it funny. I'm just looking for something that does well, just a cheap thing I could buy that would look good on a stage. And then he just keeps showing me little gimmicky stuff like this. And it's getting awkward.
Starting point is 00:59:19 And Josh and Maggie are just kind of standing there like, this is not as fun as I thought it was going to be. This guy doesn't get it. Josh and Maggie are like, why did you bring me here, man me can we just go to the landing right eat some good dinner and so then but i've seen some stuff on like the top shelf that looks awesome like big boxes and big things that seem like they're meant for a stage and i was like what about that you know i'm like a i'm like bow like what about that dad can we do that i try the dragon yeah and so i was like what about that? You know, I'm like a, I'm like Bo, like, what about that dad? Can we do that? Can I try the dragon? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:46 And so I was like, what about that? And he goes, oof, the price is too high for that one. You don't know. You don't know who I am. I mean,
Starting point is 00:59:54 not that I was like, I'm willing to drop a ton of money on this, but at least tell me. Poor salesman technique. Sure. He wouldn't even let me see it. We didn't tell me the price. I was like,
Starting point is 01:00:02 really? I can't look at it. He's like, that's probably too much for what you're looking to spend. I was like, I haven't told you what I'm looking to spend. Where is this coming from? Sure.
Starting point is 01:00:10 And so I walked out of there with my tail between my legs and I was like, man, I really, I'm so curious what that top thing was. He wouldn't tell me. You never got up to like, I know. I mean,
Starting point is 01:00:18 you don't even know the concept of what it was. No, it looked really fun. And he just never told me. That's horrible. That's horrible. That's horrible. That's horrible.
Starting point is 01:00:23 I know. That's horrible. Like, and that's even like a big sale if you did. Sure. If the price is high. Yeah. Makes no sense.
Starting point is 01:00:32 There's no way you sell very many of these. Yeah. Especially if you're telling people it's too expensive. But it's like, dude, I have a show booked. It's not like I'm some like, hey, I'm looking to get into magic. What's that one? It'd be one thing that's like, oh, you don't want to start off with that. Sure. It's like, hey, I feel like I'm the most eager customer you're gonna have like it's not like you downplayed
Starting point is 01:00:47 yourself too much at the beginning of like maybe because because you said like something that's not too expensive in in branson terms that's you know 750 or less you know cheap yeah i don't even know if i said not too expensive but oh you didn't okay i don't know but that was yeah kind of just a awkward funny 20 minutes of my life. But yeah, at least you guys now have a little magic trick that you can do. Write down on a little card. Hattie doesn't read very much yet, but she could read all those words. She would actually think it's really funny.
Starting point is 01:01:16 You should do that for her sometime. Okay, I will. And the other thing about Branson is, dude, you're in for a treat. Okay. I have never been recognized more in my life than The Weeknd and Branson. Really? It was fun. Wow. I mean, everywhere we went. Wow. It was great, dude. Don't you feel like it's snowballs? Like, like once one person kind of recognized you and says something, somebody else might see you and be like, okay, I'm going to say something to him too. Don't you think that's a thing? I don't know. They seem like
Starting point is 01:01:40 isolated incidents, I guess. Okay. Wow. You just getting recognized. Yeah. Cause they were just like one at a time. I don't know. I would go to the, I guess. Oh, really? Okay. Wow. You're just getting recognized. Yeah. Cause they were just like one at a time. I don't know. I would go to the drive range. The guy there is a mood swings fan. And then we went to sight and sound and then Mariah Garrett's there and she's like, you know, she's like, I'm coming to Grande, but it's so fun. So, wow. Yeah. You're in for a treat. Good. I'm excited about it. Why? You know, this is my fancy football weekend coming up that we try to do every year, live draft kind of thing. We just play golf or whatever, do all these different fun things. And last year was in Kansas City, and yeah, I got recognized with all my friends,
Starting point is 01:02:11 and my friends, of course, just had a ball with it. Oh, yeah. Like, oh, my gosh, who is this guy? You know, whatever. So I'm sure if that happens again, they're going to make a big deal about it. Were you in the crumble cookie in Scottsdale when I got recognized by that girl? No. Yeah, that was kind of those things like,
Starting point is 01:02:25 dang, like, cause even just the way she's like, you're a big tick talker, right? Gosh, right. Can you have worded it any differently?
Starting point is 01:02:33 But yes, thank you. That's really nice of you. Thanks for saying that. Um, let's talk about Fanny's football. After trying to get the right key,
Starting point is 01:02:44 get the diaphragm up with it.'ll tell you all about it when i yeah good ranchers is a sponsor of ours that's right have you guys heard of good ranchers before is this the first time you've ever heard of good ranchers because if it's the first time uh welcome from the time where you've been in sleep for six months. Hope you had good dream. Hope you, uh, use cozy earth for your pillowcase. Um, this is good. Rangers ad though.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Uh, we have a new ad copy, so I'm going to read some of this stuff because, uh, prime pork is no longer the emphasis. I, we do this with correct opinions too. So my guess. Yes. Ground beef, ground beef, baby. Uh, would you like one pound of ground beef for free? Oh yeah. That sounds great. ground beef ground beef baby uh would you like one pound of ground beef for free oh yeah that sounds great how about uh two pounds of high quality angus ground beef in every order for
Starting point is 01:03:29 two years you can get free ground beef 480 value that if you subscribe to goodrangers.com if you get their um you know their chicken their beef whatever it may be their steaks uh you can get free ground beef two pounds in every single order. And I will tell you right now, everything is good. Ground beef is one of those things that's so versatile and we've enjoyed it so much. It's been so wonderful to have and Good Ranchers ground beef is just the next level top tier kind of stuff. So ground beef is so versatile. It could run a sub eight minute, two mile. I would say so. And still tastes good doing it. Versatile. Uh, no, it's, I mean, we, we do it with our tacos. We had spaghetti last night. We put that in there. Uh, we, what else?
Starting point is 01:04:12 I mean, obviously burgers, anything and everything. Yeah. Cheeseburger meatballs. We do these things. You're kidding. Real nice. And there was one time where Catherine, not even joking, we had kind of run out of our ground beef. so we used a little bit of somebody else's ground beef and some of Good Rancher's, half and half, and we tried to guess which one was which, and it was so easy to guess. Really? Yes. There's just like something it's more, like it has more
Starting point is 01:04:35 flavor, it's moister, just all these different things. So now is the time to subscribe. As a subscription to any box, you'll receive two pounds of high-quality Angus ground beef. That's a $480 value that all subscribers get for free. Yes. Go nuts. We have a promo code. It's GRKC. $25 off
Starting point is 01:04:51 that free box and $480 worth of free ground beef. Check it out. BigRangers.com. American meat delivered. Did you know that? Oh, it's delivered to you. I was planning on slaughtering the cow myself. No, no, no, no, no, no. It's delivered, dude. It's delivered to you, dude. I was planning on slaughtering the cow myself. No, no, no, no, no, no. It's delivered, dude.
Starting point is 01:05:08 It's delivered to your door. And then you just cook it up and eat it. I'm listening. And now I'm done listening. Okay, fantasy football. It's one of my favorite things we do with this podcast. Maybe it's just because I love football. But it's so fun to do with you guys.
Starting point is 01:05:23 The guillotine format is amazing. And so if you like football, if you are familiar with fantasy and how it works in guillotine leagues, then we would to do with you guys. The guillotine format is amazing. And so if you like football, if you are familiar with fantasy and how it works in guillotine leagues, then we would love to have you join. I think we're going to, we've done it a few, two to three years now and it's a blast. Last year we upped it to two different leagues.
Starting point is 01:05:39 And I think that's where that's a nice spot. I think more than two, five, but I don't think that's a good idea. Yeah. So we're once again, going to do two leagues. There's 18 spots in each league. Brad and I will be in both.
Starting point is 01:05:51 And I think Catherine and Rachel are once again going to be together. They're out for vengeance. They're going to try to last longer than week one. So they will be in one of the leagues. So what is that? 36, 30, you know, whatever. 31 spots available for you guys. So the, the drafts themselves for you guys to start planning, when am I going to be around for this Monday, September
Starting point is 01:06:13 4th? Yes. It's labor day. You're going to be done partying by then. Yeah. No one, no one's like, Oh, I got a labor day party at, you know, 8 PM. It's at the end of labor day. So that's going to be 7 PM.m central monday september 4th if you're unavailable then then you should sign up for the tuesday league because that's going to be that draft is going to be 7 p.m central tuesday september 5th and obviously the computer can auto draft for you but uh just ask nathan coley how that's got the last two years right there's a there's a definitely a different strategy to our league because it's weird rosters and stuff because you to our league because it's weird
Starting point is 01:06:45 rosters and stuff. Because you know going into it, it's guillotine. Quick quiz for you, Tymon. You're a casual Chiefs fan.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Very, very casual. Should you play in the guillotine league? Yeah. No, the answer is no. No, I want to. I want to.
Starting point is 01:07:02 Yeah, dude. Of course. Tymon himself is exempt, but you're saying someone who doesn't know sports. It's just more... There's just limited spots. So if you haven't played fantasy football
Starting point is 01:07:14 before, play in a different league and then maybe join our league eventually. Oh, man. Sorry, bud. I mean, Tymon would be pretty fun to have in there. It'd just be so fun to do something like this where I'm just so clueless about quite literally everything. But that is one of the beauties of fantasy football
Starting point is 01:07:30 is that playing it makes you care about football a lot more than you would normally. This is your gateway. Anyway, maybe I'm convincing myself that Tymon should do it. But yeah, that's one of those things that we want to emphasize. It's like, please do it if you're going to take it seriously. Don't do it if you're not as familiar. Because there's such a limited spot.
Starting point is 01:07:49 I'm not trying to intimidate you completely of like, oh, I'm not like, I don't know every single depth chart. I don't either. But I'm just saying like. There are hundreds of people listening right now who love football and would love to do this. Yeah. So don't take one of their spots if you're like.
Starting point is 01:08:01 Yeah. Are there Vikings football or basketball? Right. Yeah. So funny. I've been like double checking settings if i deserve brad like should you like yeah yeah yeah yeah you're worried about editing and producing things but anyway um so the that i communicated that kindly and not like in a way of like hey you're not welcome i just want to make sure yeah whatever so the draft is a week from today and also eight days from today. Those are the two drafts,
Starting point is 01:08:29 but the signups for the draft are going to go live tonight. So today is Monday, August 28th, when this is coming out, just to make sure. So it's 7 PM central tonight. There will be posted on our Instagram story and the Facebook page. However,
Starting point is 01:08:43 if you join Patreon, then you will get early access access you join a 15 tier you get 15 minutes early access 10 tier 10 minutes early five minutes you get it so um join there and you probably think well do i really want to join patreon just to get a fantasy football action that wasn't the noise i was trying to make i like that one more that was great dude do it again am i just going to join patreon just just for fantasy you're letting your air out of a balloon really quickly that's probably what you're thinking uh-huh well guess what a guy who just barely messes up sound effects yeah ah bad news elizabeth virtual doing improv boom uh boom loud loud boom bigger boom whoosh
Starting point is 01:09:42 whoosh so yeah i think those are the details get it while it's hot yeah oh and patreon we're gonna post more things on patreon oh yeah i forgot that was the whole point is yeah there's gonna be uh some grande boo stuff on patreon i think the the wedding video is gonna be posted patreon soon yes so if you weren't grande boo want to see it that'll be on patreon or if you're at grande Boo and you've watched it once and you're like, I got to see that again. Because that's what I remember. That was only the second time I watched it was at Grande Boo.
Starting point is 01:10:11 And it's so fun. I got to go watch it another three times. I'm excited to have access to it to watch it again. It is kind of fun. Yeah. There's a lot of, I feel like you steal the show. Gunner's butt steals the show. Steve Koop steals the show.
Starting point is 01:10:23 Yeah. I don't know if I steal the show, but I contribute to the show. Yeah. Yeah. You do good during the show. I do all right. I do all right. So.
Starting point is 01:10:33 Those are the details. Yeah. There'll be some more in the description if it's unclear. Yeah. So anyway, yeah. Fun times with the guillotine league. Fun times with everything. How much have we been going for here? Probably like right at an hour, fun times with everything. Uh, how much,
Starting point is 01:10:46 how much have we been going for here? Probably like right at an hour, maybe a little over, a little over an hour. Okay. Let's, let's wrap it up this and we can talk more about everything next episode. Cool.
Starting point is 01:10:53 Yeah. Yeah. We got, we got a lot more to talk about. We, we didn't even talk about like the rest of Saturday's ground debut. I think we can talk about that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:01 I got so much more written down. Yeah. Fun. Cool. We, we've been trying to like discipline ourselves. Like don't record too long. We don't have to do whatever. And then I think we just keep like,
Starting point is 01:11:08 this is going great. We just like each other. Let's do this. Yeah. So anyway, um, let's do some reviews. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:15 Reviews. I would first call it. You're going to do the good one. Kinsey Noel. Yes. Yeah. It's about me. Kind of.
Starting point is 01:11:22 It's so good at the beginning. Yeah. Dang it. Okay, fine. Go ahead. It's so good. At the beginning. Yeah. Dang it. Okay, fine. Go ahead. I love a good ghosty origin story, and I wonder if anyone else has mine. Followed Trey Kennedy since the Vine days.
Starting point is 01:11:35 Wasn't a correct opinion as a girl, but loved Do Less, God Bless with Jake. Still didn't check out Ghost Runners. Became a bigger Jake fan as he featured more in Trey's videos. Saw them perform in Greenville, South Carolina, and then found out about Jean Shorts. Even more Jake and Sorry.
Starting point is 01:11:52 Trying to read this. Even more Jake and introduced to the great Brad Deuce. Still didn't check out Ghost Hunters. Then that fateful day, December 16th, 2022, Jean Shorts vid drops. A banger titled Christmas Cookie Blind Taste Test. Shout out Justin Orme.
Starting point is 01:12:07 Game changer. Yeah. Just watching the hilarious, genuine way these two interacted, I knew it was time to give a little something called the Ghost Hunters Podcast a try. Let's just say since then, I've listened to every episode through twice. It has brought me so many smiles and joy through a not so great season of life. I just think it's really cool that the Lord could use something like a podcast with two dudes,
Starting point is 01:12:25 just chatting about life, love and the pursuit of random thoughts and white meat to comfort and bring joy to so many. Yeah. Kinsey Noel to shout out that Christmas cookie video. Yeah. We felt so good about it, but it's also like our audience is not used to this.
Starting point is 01:12:38 It got maybe 20,000 views, but which at the time was like so much less than everything else we were getting. Yeah. Still pretty dramatically low. Yeah. But yeah much less than everything else we were getting. Yeah. Still pretty dramatically low. Yeah. But yeah, it's a, they were valuable views though. Yes, totally. Like it, yes. Anybody that starts listening to our podcast, like commit to our podcast is so valuable. I mean, whatever, watch our videos. Thank you. But like our podcast listeners are the ones that are in depth, loving things into it that are willing to fly across the country to come to
Starting point is 01:13:07 Kansas city. Like those are the people that you get really excited about. So that, that pumped me up when I read that because I was like, wow, you know, like I had never heard that before. I I've,
Starting point is 01:13:16 I've heard a few people that said we watched Jean shorts and it led us to ghost runners. But for the most part, you hear similar stories, which I love all the ghost, the origin stories as well. Um, but most of them are, Hey, I found Jake from Trey. And then we listened to you guys and we love it. But like, it's so fun to hear like, no, I watched this jean shorts video that after knowing all those things, you know, it's just so cool to be like, well, these guys
Starting point is 01:13:38 are pretty naturally fun as well. Not just, you know, when they're acting like goofballs. And, uh, it was great yeah i love any ghosty origin story and i want to ask more in person when you're at gronny boo but i was like well i don't want to feel like they have to butter my bisque yeah you know so just tell me privately in the reviews that's kind of fun uh speaking of buttering bisques uh my review is a written review from my boy caleb lee. He finally met Caleb Lee. Yeah. Caleb Lee is great.
Starting point is 01:14:07 Yeah. Yeah. Isn't it so fun to like know people? Yes. It's like, it's, it just deepens your, yeah, your friendships, your relationships with the podcast. So Caleb Lee's the man, have been friends with him virtually for a while because he's a very great, loyal listener of ours.
Starting point is 01:14:23 Finally got to meet him this weekend, hang out with him a little bit. So Caleb, I hope you're okay with me reading this on the podcast. He just gave us a letter here. It says, Jake and Brad, thank you. Thank you for giving me and all the ghosties the weekend of a lifetime. It truly was everything I hoped for and more. Every aspect of the weekend showed just how much work you both put into this event. Your intentionality to spend time with all the fans was the most impressive
Starting point is 01:14:43 part of the weekend. You managed to make everyone feel special and included. You're both so genuine, humble, and kind. The community you have built is indescribable and Grande Boo is proof of that. I met so many incredible people and made new friends in such a short period of time. I feel closer to the Ghost Friends community than ever before. I look forward to watching the podcast continue to grow and I feel so honored to have been a small part of the journey. There simply aren't enough words to thank you for everything you do. Love, Caleb Lee.
Starting point is 01:15:09 Just so cool, man. Just said, yeah, thank you. All that stuff is so kind. And just, yeah, I've met so many incredible people and made new friends in such a short period of time. I love that. That's what we hope to accomplish with these weekends. Because obviously, it's so funny. Like, dude, there were people at Grand Debut that we didn't accomplish with these weekends. It's so funny.
Starting point is 01:15:25 There were people at Grand Debut that we didn't talk to at all. First of all, if that's you, I feel bad. Brock! Yes, dude! Brock, you seem awesome! Brock, come hang out! He literally was like, Brad, I'm leaving. Thank you so much for this weekend. I was like,
Starting point is 01:15:42 yeah, man. Good to meet you just now. I had the exact yeah, man, good to meet you just now. Like I had the exact same interaction, you know, but, but hopefully our, our goal was deeper than just meeting Jake and Brad. It was having a good time, but also having a good community around you of new people. That is kind of fun. It's like, you don't have to interact with us personally to still have a great weekend, hopefully, you know? Right. And, and just piggybacking on that, the ghost runners, Gulf shores trip. That's how I felt like it was with Florida. Like all the people that came from that, yeah. All the people that came from the Florida trip to Kansas city. Like, I feel
Starting point is 01:16:15 like they just hung out with the, like, not just each other, but like, I did not feel the need to like talk to them as much. Cause they seemed like they were just doing so much already because they're already friends with all these people. That's what we hope. If you're interested in coming to the Gulf Shores trip, check it out because I think it's going to be worth it. It's going to be something really cool like that. Shout out to Caleb Lee. I don't have
Starting point is 01:16:36 a jingle, so you can ask. We can sing an old one if we want to or something together. Why don't you guys do Bieber in the house? Five, six, seven on the beat. I don't know what just happened.
Starting point is 01:16:56 I was trying to do like some kind of like beat. Like a pop beat with like a I was trying to I was like maybe like chord or something. I was like maybe I a pop beat. With like a... I was trying to... I was like, maybe it's Justin Bieber or something. Some kind of like chord or something. I was like, maybe I should have
Starting point is 01:17:07 also like instrumental. Like, Brad will figure out something. That was hilarious. Oh my gosh. Whatever just happened. That's Bieber in the house. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:17:16 that was it. It's a pretty short one. Bieber, Bieber in the house. Time in the house. Pretty well written though. Singing in the house. Yeah. Personally,
Starting point is 01:17:24 I like the Spanish version of it. It's kind of the reggaeton. Bieber in la casa, casa, casa, casa, though. Singing in the house. Yeah. Personally, I like the Spanish version of it. It's kind of the reggaeton. Viva en la casa, casa, casa, casa, casa. Rumping the door, door, door. Boom, boom, boom. De kunz, boom, de kunz, boom, de kunz. Jose Viva. De kunz.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Jose Viva. Jose Viva. Me encanta Jose Viva. Yeah, there you go. Very good, Jake. Thanks. A la izquierda. ¿Dónde está el baño?
Starting point is 01:17:50 Jose Viva. Viva. Cuando rojo. Yes. Yes. You get it. What's up? Spanish is fun to say.
Starting point is 01:18:00 Fun to say. It is fun to say. That's another thing. I've tried to teach my kids Spanish, which is fun. And Hattie's kind of getting there. And Bo, of course, doesn't know it at all. So Bo will just speak in gibberish. And it kind of frustrated me.
Starting point is 01:18:14 I'm like, hey, stop speaking like a little baby. You're not a baby. And he's like, I'm not speaking like a baby. I'm speaking in Spanish. He's like, that's how you say it. That's how you say it. He's like, I was saying yes, sir, but I was saying in it. He's like, he's like, I was saying yes, sir. But I was saying in Spanish,
Starting point is 01:18:26 he's just over here. I'll be like, I like Bo, you know, I'm disciplining him. I was like, you need to do this, this and this.
Starting point is 01:18:30 So yes, sir. And he's like, drop jaw. And I'm like, stop. No, say yes,
Starting point is 01:18:34 sir. Just shout, you know, like, he's like, yes, sir. It's just in Spanish.
Starting point is 01:18:41 And of course I'm like a little part of, he's like, okay, I don't hate that. Like you wouldn't, it sounds like you're trying to say it. Yeah. You just don't understand what it. And of course, I'm like, a little part of me is like, okay, I don't hate that. it sounds like you're trying to say it. Yeah. You just don't understand what Spanish means. Right.
Starting point is 01:18:49 Whatever. So. When me and Bo have our play date, I'm just going to be going nuts. Just like, eh, sarajea, sia,
Starting point is 01:18:54 sia, huh? Guadalajara? That's perfect. That is, that is. Okay, trapajea,
Starting point is 01:18:59 yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
