Starting point is 00:00:00 Jake, recently I have not been reading to Hattie at night. I'm going to be honest. Okay. Yeah. So let's roll this theme music. That's a bummer. No. Lately, you know, every other night we kind of switch off Bo and Hattie,
Starting point is 00:00:11 who's putting her to put them to bed. And so on the nights that I have Hattie recently, she has requested no bedtime story being read, but a bedtime story being told from her dad, a.k.a. me. You're just making it up? Making it up. Yeah, it's fun. Sometimes You just making it up. Yeah. Sometimes I'm making it up. I'll be honest. Sometimes I'm taking a little bit of creative liberties from other great stories. Yeah. What are we, where do we take it from? Um, actually I should, I should
Starting point is 00:00:34 put, throw this maybe, let me pull it up real quick. Um, one of them is like especially cute because, uh, I told her this story and of course I'm like not telling it exactly the same, but I told her the story and then the next day she was telling Catherine the story and so it was kind of fun to listen to her retell the story to Catherine. This is going to... I'm going to find it in five seconds.
Starting point is 00:00:57 One one thousand, two one thousand. Sorry guys. This is not how I wanted this to go. It's okay. It's okay. It's not your fault. Stop. Stop you guys. This is not how I wanted this to go. It's okay. It's okay. It's not your fault. Hey, Brad, that's fine. Stop.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Stop, you guys. I'm freaking out. I swear she airdropped it to me. Are you guys ready? Oh, my gosh. No, I think we need to wait a little longer. I get a home run, but it was all with the fence of the dog,
Starting point is 00:01:24 and so they couldn't get a ball and then i mean i'm not very um scott saw so scott saw a baseball which was signed by jackie robinson but all he saw was a baseball which was signed by Jackie Robinson but all he saw was a baseball with blue cripples on it. They hid it over the fence and they tried lots of different things to get it back.
Starting point is 00:01:53 But one day, Vinny had a dream and Jackie Robinson was in this dream and he said for Vinny to go because he was Vinny the Jail. And Vinnie got it but
Starting point is 00:02:07 That's pretty much it. I mean, just she had a pretty good imagination or recollection of what it was. Yeah, that's a fun game. It's like you tell Hattie a story from a movie and then hattie tells us the next day we try to figure out like what movie yeah we should uh yeah so i've done that one i've done i called one intergalactic dunk space jam as i was telling the story i was like the greatest basketball player of all time you
Starting point is 00:02:38 know kobe bryant she's like don't you mean michael jordan and i was like you're right okay michael jordan's main Character of the story. So she already, yeah, she basically wrote with space jam again. Um, so anyway, what kind of issues have you ran into trying to like recite some of these movies?
Starting point is 00:02:53 Well, I mean, as far as I, sometimes I don't remember exactly what, what order to tell them in. Sometimes I'll be like, how do I retell this succinctly, you know,
Starting point is 00:03:03 or sometimes I like take it to my own liberties to make it more like understandable for her. Like she doesn't know who Babe Ruth is, but she knows like she loves Jackie Robinson. Like Bo has multiple Jackie Robinson books. And so she knows like Jackie Robinson's a big deal. So to have a ball signed by Jackie Robinson, who's not even alive anymore would be amazing, you know? And so, um, anyway, but I just figured, you know, you're going to help me just alleviate some stress today. We're going to tell a story to Hattie right now that I'm just going to play for her the next time she asks for a story. So let's do it. Are you ready right now? Sure. Okay. This story, first of all, you got to give it a name. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Is called Never Forget the Tigers.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Yes. Okay. So once upon a time, I always, sorry, once upon a time in this strange faraway land called Kansas, there lived a tiger, but it wasn't just any tiger. It was an abnormally tiny tiger. Okay. This tiger could fit in your pocket. This tiger could open up a pop can with his hands because they were so small. And most of all, this tiger was very sweet.
Starting point is 00:04:21 So you could have him as a pet. His name was Timmy. Timmy the tiger i'm lost you don't know where we're going with this no i thought we were oh were we doing like were we doing like a movie yeah oh i was just making up a story oh sorry you don't know you've never seen life of pie they put them in the pocket the tiger jungle i don't think it's jungle i don't think that's jungle i haven't seen jumanji i don't know any tigers in frozen two i heard it was weird but i didn't know what i was trying to set up was remember the Titans. So I said, never forget the tigers.
Starting point is 00:05:07 And was thinking there might be a white tiger and like, you know, a Bengal tiger. And then they get to the same zoo or I don't know where we're going to go. That's really funny. Yeah. It's like this, this tiger can open up. We all have stripes of different colors. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:18 Yeah. Yeah. Dang it. I was like pop cans. All right, Hattie. Well, I'll just make one up for you, baby. I love you. Uh, uh, oh, Well, I'll just make one up for you, baby. I love you. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:05:26 Ooh, I think this tight beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts and white meat too. Midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat. So come along. Let's have some fun and go ahead. Get on your feet because it's the Ghost Brothers Podcast. Ghost Brothers Podcast. Everybody morning, we're taking ground.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Ghost Brothers Podcast. Oh, that's great. I was just making it up, dude. I'm sorry. I was racking my head for every movie. You're like, I'm so lost. I was like, Jake, this whole podcast, we've done this for years, and we just make stuff up on the go. What do you mean you're lost?
Starting point is 00:06:04 Yeah, you should never be lost. Yeah. That's funny, man. Oh, well that's fun though. I look forward to doing that with my own children. I think I did it when I was a camp counselor. Just tell random stories. Yeah. Is there like fall asleep and whatnot? I've had some good ones and I've had some that are like, this is, I don't know where I'm going. So you tell yourself you're lost. Okay. Sorry. I am so lost. I am lost. Yeah. Like the other day, what was it? It was called the sensational sunflower. I didn't know where I was going with it. I just, I just tried to speak eloquently for a while. And then, and then the sunflower grew in the field that nothing else could grow in. It's gotta be a good exercise,
Starting point is 00:06:41 right? I think podcasting is a good exercise in general. Making up stories to your kids can't hurt. Absolutely. And this one, as I went, I realized like, oh, I'm going to do, this is going to be a lesson in here. And the lesson is that you should save your money for the real good thing. Because the whole idea of the sensational sunflower is that this girl had an empty field and she wanted to grow something. But this field, nothing ever grew in there. Nothing. You could try all these different things.
Starting point is 00:07:05 What's the point? So she would go to the flower store, and she had saved up $7, and she saw this amazing sunflower that she loved, but it was $28, not even close, but she could buy some lilacs. So she bought some lilacs, tried to plant those bad boys.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Didn't work. And she did that multiple times until finally she worked so hard to save up her money for the right thing. And then it grew. I was like, I think it's kind of a lesson there. Gotcha. Because as like the third one where she had saved up like $23, like she was so close and she bought a rose plant, rose seed or something like that.
Starting point is 00:07:39 And Hattie was like, no, just save up your money. I was like, yes, you're doing it, Hattie. What happened to the soil? How did the sunflower take... How did it grow? Magic, God's magic. God's magic rewarded her for saving her money. Okay, I hear you.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Yep. I hear you. Speaking of magic, we have one of the fall merch items is called the Harry Potter hoodie. Harry Potter something. Harry Potter hoodie. What's something. Harry Potter hoodie. What's on it? It just is like Gryffindor colors. It says Ghostwriters, but it just
Starting point is 00:08:10 looks like Harry Potter. So I just call it Harry Potter. But if you're not into witchcraft, there's other colors as well. We do have non-witchcraft tees. A lot of you guys would like them. So yeah, that's fun. A couple things from this past weekend that we didn't get to on Monday.
Starting point is 00:08:25 This episode is brought to you by Good Ranchers. Oh my gosh. Surely, surely. It's American Made Delivered. Yeah, American Made Delivered. Thanks for sponsoring this episode, guys. We were watching a little football at the resort in Austin
Starting point is 00:08:42 and I think on all the commercials or on all the TV's commercials came on and Maggie Mayer was like, you know, football season is the only time. And I thought she was going to say like, yeah, it's the only time you see commercials, right? Like I think Brad and I have talked about this.
Starting point is 00:08:56 She took it a step further. She goes, you know, football season's great because I feel like I get very up to date with pizza. She's like all the other months of the year. I have no idea what's going on with the pizza places. That's so true. I know. She specifically said, I get very up to date with Dom. She's like all the other months of the year. I've no idea what's going on the pizza places. That's so true. I know she specifically said I get very up to date with Domino's. Yeah. She's like, I didn't know they were doing stuff. Crest like that.
Starting point is 00:09:12 You know, you just you have no idea. It's like March Madness at football season, right? It's it's nothing but like pizza and beer commercials. I had no idea they would pay you for delivery. Yeah. Yeah. Whatever I for I guess the commercial wasn't good enough because I don't know which brand but someone's doing some pizza in a crazy shape right now maybe stay tuned next sunday it's funny that you say that because i was like yeah i've definitely seen some like
Starting point is 00:09:31 like some kind of dippable something but i i haven't it hasn't stuck in my memory it's got like i mean it's borderline like a like a nazi symbol like it's got like yeah maybe but um yeah you get very up to date with pizza. I feel like watching football. Okay. They call it the Pazzi. Yeah, Pazzi Pizza. Pazzi Pizza.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Yeah. Cool. Yeah. Pazzi Nizza. Yeah, I think it's Papa John's. Pazzi Pizza. That's Papa John's. Yeah. Have I ever told you that a guy, one of Trey's friends, Ryan, he was, I guess at one point
Starting point is 00:10:04 he had a job where he was kind of working like customers, server, whatever. He would have to teach old people how to use computers and they were so bad at double clicking. They just couldn't get it. And so he would be like, all right,
Starting point is 00:10:17 just double click. And they were like, click, click. Right. He's like, you got to double click faster. And so then they were like,
Starting point is 00:10:23 yeah, just hold it down harder. As I know, that's still just one click. And what he learned, what helped them, he's like, you double click at click faster. And so then they were like, just hold it down harder. I know that's still just one click. And what he learned, what helped them, he's like, you double click at the same cadence as pizza, pizza. And that works for old people. So a little life hack for everybody.
Starting point is 00:10:34 I like that. Pizza, pizza. Yeah, there's a Modern Family episode where they struggle with double click. He'll always be like, double click. And it's like, no. Double click, double click. Yeah. So double click. He'll always be like, double click. And it's like, no. Yeah. Double click. Double click. Yeah. So pizza, pizza. That'd be a fun challenge. I would enjoy teaching old people how
Starting point is 00:10:52 to use technology. Give me an old person. I think I could do it. I think I have the patience for it. I think I would develop a great rapport with them. I would enjoy that job. Yeah. It'd be fun to kind of like, all right, what's your, what do you know? Like what's your previous industry? What jobs have you had before? How can I incorporate that into this like operating system? You're a mechanic. Okay. Easy. So I know cars. So the cookies are kind of like, uh, pistons, right? You know, do you want to allow pistons or cylinders? And you know, if your alternator is bad, your battery's not going to work. Maybe I wouldn't be as good as I thought.
Starting point is 00:11:31 As long as you're not a mechanic, I would be fine. Like a NASA aerospace engineer. I could figure that out. Sure. I've seen Interstellar. That would be fine. Something Rachel and I were uh this morning on the airplane we got a kick out of it was i was playing a uh we were still buzzing from taylor swift
Starting point is 00:11:51 travis kelsey yeah and i was like oh i'm gonna play like this certain like taylor swift song and i was putting in my airpods and uh you're just like oh can i listen i was like you have your own and then i put my airpods in and i was acting like it was the best song i'd ever heard like while i'm playing and i was just like dancing and she got such a kick out of it she's like that's exactly what i would have done to my little brother tim like as a kid like i would have been like tim can't use these and just like acting like it is the best song ever just like rubbing it in so bad yeah and so then leaving the airplane we were both it was really fun doing it to each other trying to one-up each other, because she had her AirPods in and I had my AirPods on, and each trying to act like,
Starting point is 00:12:27 no, my song is the best song right now. Like, I am vibing. She's walking down the airplane, there's other people around, and she's just like, nah. No shit. Oh, yeah! I love this part! Yeah!
Starting point is 00:12:43 The bass, it's so noise-canceling! And, yeah, I think we just each taking it up a notch. It's like moving more. We get outside of, like, the plane. You start breakdancing. Yeah, just, like, really moving. You get, like, a cardboard piece on the ground. Start, like, yeah, do it.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Do its thing. It was really funny. Yeah, the escalators go by, like, both sides. Yeah, you're, go by like both sides. Yeah, you're like getting a flash mob going. Come on, you and you. Come on. You guys, do you know Only the Young by Taylor Swift?
Starting point is 00:13:12 Great. Five, six, seven. Yeah. That's great, man. It was really fun. Why don't they do, and maybe they do, Tymon, correct me if I'm wrong. Why can't you pair more than one Bluetooth thing?
Starting point is 00:13:25 Like why can't I pair my AirPods and your AirPods to mypods to my phone is that a thing it's possible no way it's not too easy but like once you know how to do it you can do it teach me quickly teach so you've heard of pistons yeah you saw i'm a woodworker teach me as a woodworker there you go okay brad is your old man so you've got the phone okay which is you know what that is i do know that no i i understand i have a basic knowledge of okay so i do know what a phone is so see the problem is i don't know how to do this you don't not really i just but you know it's possible yes okay look it up and you'll explain it in later on the episode about that don't worry about anything else camera wise even on camera one yeah uh because i would like to know yeah so i think it would be fun and and awesome to know
Starting point is 00:14:04 totally yeah i don't know if it's a hardware or software update but i think over the years Yeah. Because I would like to know. Yeah. So I think it would be fun and awesome to know. Totally. Yeah. I don't know if it's a hardware or software update, but I feel like over the years, they've made improvements. Like, all right, iPhones can now pair. You can be Bluetooth connected to multiple things. Like, at any given time,
Starting point is 00:14:15 like my car, my AirPods, and like the speaker in here. But do they all, they don't all play though. Oh, that's what you're wanting. That's what I, like I want, because you were like, Rachel was like, I want to listen. Like, I don't like listening halfway. I don't like sharing headphones. Like I like having the full experience in my ears, but I would love for Catherine to also
Starting point is 00:14:31 have the full experience. Like I want to, I want a, you know, Bluetooth version of a splitter. Remember the splitter? Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. It's like take one phone, two hearing devices. Cause yeah, my, my truck's Bluetooth is also connected as long as the AirPod is, and there's, like, priority to that. But it's like, no, I want them to both be playing. I hope it can happen. I hope it can, too. For you. Thanks.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Okay, we'll come back when Tymon has a little answer for us. Working on it. Can I rant about something and you tell me if I'm valid or not? Rant away, brother. The borderline dumbest thing since greek mythology okay e signatures oh yeah just kind of pointless kind of pointless and i had a hard time with them the other day maybe i'm a little bit old school maybe i don't know enough about e signatures and how to do them you're not a doc hub guy no tell me about it that's just the thing i should be using oh i
Starting point is 00:15:22 feel like sometimes you just like open up an email, and it's like, open with DocHub? I'm like, sure. Is that a, what is that? Is that a website? I don't know if I downloaded it. Honestly, I thought it was a Gmail thing. I don't know. Well, because I tried to look up e-signature free online or something, and some other DocuSign, I think, is the thing that came up. And I was like, okay, I'll download that. I think it's an extension, something, whatever. Or it's a website, whatever. I had issues, and then they said I had a free okay, I'll download that. I think it's an extension, something, whatever. And, or it's a website, whatever. I had issues.
Starting point is 00:15:46 And then they said I had a free trial. I didn't. I'm like, I just need to like put my name on a electronic thing. And the e-signature that you do is never even like your signature. It's just like a typed out version of your name. And like, A, that's ridiculous. B, how could somebody not just forge that very easily? Like, how is this really legally binding?
Starting point is 00:16:07 And I probably spent 25 minutes trying to get an e-signature on something there. Jeez. And it was to the point where I was like, this is so silly. And it's one of those things where I think I could probably just print it out, literally sign it and take a picture of it or something. Can I show you a little trick? Please. Within your Mac guy.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Yes. You know, you go into Finder, you open up up something it opens it up in preview okay okay yes for instance this is a bank statement of mine pdf bank statement whoa you go to not bad you go to tools okay annotate okay signature okay boom i have a save signature right there. Just drag that signature into where you need to sign. Okay. Don't need to download anything externally. It's within the Mac. Okay. Cause I was trying to do it straight from, oh yeah, I could have done that easily. Um, yeah. Okay. Good. Good. I was just doing it via like an attachment on the email. I was just looking at it and trying to open it. Cause I
Starting point is 00:17:03 don't have all the Adobe suite. Okay. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not an a suite guy. I'm a one, one product guy. Cause I know that, you know, if you have a PDF thing, you could do it on there or whatever, but I'm just like, that's a silly thing. Just say like, just, I mean, what's different from that versus like me replying to the email and saying, I've seen it and I agree to everything. You know what I mean? We're good. We're good. Yeah. It's just, you just found a cursive font and put your name in that way. That's enough. Or none of it's enough. Either one or the other. Like, yeah. Like sometimes I don't even need an actual signature. Like show me a video of you signing something great that I believe that.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Yeah. With some like biometrics in it. Give me a thumbprint, you know? Yeah, either one or the other. Like either accept the very loose version of an agreement or make it more legit than, you know, cursive scripted font. Yeah. So. Yeah, it's a good rant. Yeah. I'm going to rant real quick on behalf of Rachel.
Starting point is 00:18:00 She was ranting to me this weekend. Ooh, a Rachel rant. She's mentioned this before, but it came up again this weekend. Her thing that she doesn't understand is she's tired of seeing the cold plunge thing. I mean, it's been out for a year or two now, probably. It's just a trend. Everyone feels the need to post themselves
Starting point is 00:18:15 getting in a cold tub. Rachel's upset because every day for five years, she had to do it, basically, for college volleyball. After every single practice. Seriously. After every single game, they did it up to your neck. Yeah. Every that's why she's cold consistently yeah like it's yeah i bet she hated her yeah so she's like cold plunge for like five years straight and you know
Starting point is 00:18:35 just part of it never posts about it so it just drives you crazy that everyone is like hey i bought this cool tub that you can put ice in or yeah let me show you how i start my day yeah beth he has it out of here has like special tub for it and everything. Which I am going to try it when I go to Hawaii. And I'm definitely going to post about it. I've already thought about like, I don't want to give him any satisfaction. I'm not going to make a single noise
Starting point is 00:18:57 the whole time I'm in there. I'm going to act like this is nothing. Even though I'm dead inside. Can you go colder? Yeah, does it? Does it? So is this hard for you guys? Because are you supposed to be uncomfortable?
Starting point is 00:19:12 I just... How did Jack in the Titanic... I have no idea how that guy died. ...not survive? Right, yeah. A cold punch sounds like it would suck. Tymon, how are we looking? Brad, do you want to learn how to share audio yes with two devices two devices two airpods two bluetooth yes please okay cool so as a woodworker okay you know your phone you know what a phone is open your phone okay
Starting point is 00:19:38 let's say you're connected you're already connected to yes your airpods yes so you're already connected to yes your your airpods yes so you're gonna swipe down from the top right so swipe how would you let's uh like your swipe uh just you're saying i'm applying i'm applying finish yes exactly exactly like a paintbrush like sure but finish okay so swipe down from the right swipe down from the right in the right yeah okay and when you're connected to your airpods you'll see up in the top, it'll say now playing or not playing. Yep. There's a little button.
Starting point is 00:20:11 It's in the shape of a circular saw. Yes, yes. Yeah. It looks like a circular saw with a speed square underneath it. Yeah, there you go. And then you're going to click that. Okay. And then when you're already connected to your AirPods,
Starting point is 00:20:26 you'll see a little thing that says share audio. No way. Just like how if a saw has two handles on either side, you can share that. Oh, the double-handled saw. Yeah. People just share in blades. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Yeah, yeah. Easier. When you click share, you can share it. Okay. Cool. I didn't try it because I'm not actually connected to anything right now. Seems possible. Keep me updated.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Let me know how it goes. Double-handed saw, brother. Double handles. Hey, do you mind if I use that saw? Oh, yeah, but just use your own handle. You can control my saw. I don't want you touching my handle, though. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Okay. Thank you, Tymon. No problem. Seems easy enough. Thank you, Tymon. That's fun Seems easy enough. Thank you, Tymon. That's fun. I have another question from the past weekend. We go around the table for you guys. Josh Mayer asked
Starting point is 00:21:12 if you could trade lives with anyone for an entire year of their life, this person's dead or alive, what year would it be? Who would it be? Wow. Wow. Is it too cliche to be like, I don't want to change lives with anybody? Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:26 I'd miss my life. That is, I think you get to go and you get to come back to present. Great. Great. Fun. I just made that up so that you would- I like that. Yeah. I'm in. I'm in. I don't want Catherine to be away from me for a year. Yeah. She would die. That girl cannot handle it on her own. That's, I mean, it's a one air pod girl.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Okay. One year. Somebody else's shoes. And do I get to choose the year? You could choose a year. Like that was a good year for that guy. So while you're thinking, everyone gives pretty good answers. Rachel goes,
Starting point is 00:21:59 this is the night before. I'm so bad at this stuff. Taylor Swift shows up at the Chiefs game or whatever. But Rachel goes, I think I would choose Taylor Swift 2023 before so bad this stuff uh taylor swift shows up at uh the chief's game whatever but rachel goes i think i would choose taylor swift 2023 to get to experience like the magnitude of this tour and how fun it is yeah it's like what a life and then the next day she was like i knew i picked the right person in the right year this would be such a fun year now she's dating travis kelsey yeah that's that's what i'm trying to find the balance of is like do i want to like she's so
Starting point is 00:22:23 busy though she's so busy i was more trying to find someone i was like i think it'd be fun to find someone the year they like blew up or something to see what life used to be like and then see like the rise to like superstardom probably josh mayer you know just started started from nothing and then josh mayer one morning with 100 million views or whatever it was. Mason Ramsey. There's some meme. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Mason Ramsey was on my list. Yeah. Thoughts. Dibs, dibs, dibs, dibs, dibs. Dang. I don't know. Yeah. I'm overthinking it, I think, because I'm like, I don't want that part of their life.
Starting point is 00:22:59 I know. I don't want that. I think I got to go athlete just to feel what that's like. I think that'd be fun. Like Michael Jordan, 1998 or something. How fun would that be? Totally. Yeah. I think I agree. 2016 just in general, like even if it's 24 hours, I would love to know what LeBron James
Starting point is 00:23:15 what it's like to be in LeBron James's body in the body. Yeah. Like LeBron James on the heat, like prime LeBron. Yeah. Just dominating everybody. So LeBron James, a basketball player, basketball is a spherical. It's usually orange but there's it's like uh daryl strawberry but bigger yes oh tell it catherine about yeah we did random berry schmorrs last you know she always asked about the podcast jake's one of jake's was daryl strawberry he's an old baseball player that no one really knew back then so yeah um yeah i think i think i agree with you though i
Starting point is 00:23:45 think i don't know patrick mahomes 2018 yeah like his first season where he was a starter that's my answer yeah okay because because he was like obviously an nfl quarterback and a big deal but he went from being like who is this guy to like holy cow this guy is the guy yeah but he's not so big yet i don't want to be a superstar. I don't think fan, fan wise. Yeah. You want us to live in mission Hills.
Starting point is 00:24:10 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Time. And who'd you choose? I'm liking the athlete thing, even though I'm not a sports fan because like, Oh,
Starting point is 00:24:16 I'm not athletic. How cool would it feel to be like so cool to be athletic? Yeah. I don't know. I don't know specifically, but some, and also like maybe a rise to fame. Yeah. I don't know i don't know specifically but some and also like maybe a rise to fame yeah i don't know well give me someone give me someone like that jeremy lynn
Starting point is 00:24:31 jeremy lynn yeah oliver anthony 2023 he's an athlete no um find out what it's like to grow a beard yeah uh i don't know yeah jeremy lynn would be kind of fun i don't think a whole year of jeremy lynn but basically this guy went from like i don't know if he was was even on a team i don't know harvard grad uh like was he chinese born japanese born chinese some ethnicity that doesn't have a lot of success in basketball in general uh-huh and just all of a sudden went got on fire for like multiple games in a row got to play one game did really well and then all of a sudden went got on fire for like multiple games in a row got to play one game did really well and then all of a sudden in new york city yeah yeah madison regard in the knicks and it's just like yeah one of the best people in the league for like a couple months
Starting point is 00:25:13 and that was kind of it well that's a fun question because it really does make me reflect like i mean yeah that'd be fun to be in the nfl and do that stuff but i really like my life you know what i mean yeah i miss out on like yeah pickle, pick a ball every now and then. I would miss just like my friends, like Patrick Mahomes. Friends probably aren't as good as my friends. Probably not. You know?
Starting point is 00:25:31 Yeah. Like, I don't know if I'd want to deal with Brittany. She just seems like a handful. All right. What about John the Baptist? Don't know about much about JB, but sure.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Yeah. Hanging out with Jesus, that's a good answer no matter what. Or just Jesus. See, I don't know if I'd want to be Jesus or I'd want to be able to see it. I mean, if you had the spirit of Jesus, why wouldn't you want to be Jesus? Who's
Starting point is 00:25:58 to say I don't have the spirit of Jesus currently? Okay, fair. But like, if you have, why wouldn't you want to be Jesus? It seems like, for some reason it feels like not allowed. That's a little too much. Okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:26:14 That's fair. That's fair. Sorry, John the Baptist is a good answer. I don't know. Honestly, I don't remember what I said. It was like two nights ago and I already forgot. I would have a hard time even coming up with a creative question to that. Like, did you have some time to think about it? Yeah, I think a little bit. Honestly, once Josh asked the question, we're all thinking like,
Starting point is 00:26:31 oh my gosh, what do you think? And then he said Michael Jordan and it was very hard for me to get off the athlete train. I was like, man, that sounds fun. Just electrify an audience, have all the skill. Really, it'd be fun to beat Michael Jordan as a rookie. Sure. People had expectations,
Starting point is 00:26:48 but not what he turned into. It's fun to think about for everyone out there. Yeah. Let us know in the Facebook group this week. Let us know. Let us know if you've had mainstreamroasters.com. Let us know. Let us know if you've bought some this morning.
Starting point is 00:27:03 And it was nice. Bought some this morning. Yeah. They sponsored this episode again. Shock had some this morning and it was nice. Bought some this morning. Yeah. They sponsored this episode again. Shocker. It tastes and smells really good. Not a shocker. Not a shocker.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Not a shocker. Yeah, it's great. Anyone who's bought it has said this single handedly changed my life. If I could turn it change and trade lives, I want to be the CEO of major roasters. Right. The Millers. That's what they say. That's what they say.
Starting point is 00:27:24 Hey, hey, we should watch that comedy with Jennifer Aniston. We're the Millers. Hopefully it's about major Roasters. Right. The Millers. That's what they say. That's what they say. They say, hey, we should watch that comedy with Jennifer Aniston. We're the Millers. Hopefully it's about Major Roasters. Then they get so disappointed, like, this isn't a documentary about the coffee company? Nope.
Starting point is 00:27:34 And they're like, man, I guess I'll just have to go full price or go pay for their coffee for full price on their website. But alas. But wait. That's not right. Nope.
Starting point is 00:27:44 They only have to pay 90% of that. 90% of full price. Code GRKC. That's a good deal. Yeah. Go get you some coffee, whatever you like. They've got a ton of good flavors.
Starting point is 00:27:54 Smells good. Tastes good. Get a little Midwest in your life. Maybe you live out on the coast somewhere. Right. You need a little Midwest flavor. Literally Midwest flavor. Literally.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Get some. Oh, it's good. Brad and I will be your Midwest flavor in your ears. Get some. It's good. Brad and I will be your Midwest flavor in your ears. Here comes the Midwest flavor in you. Yeah. That's right. Who sings that? I don't know. Probably
Starting point is 00:28:15 is that Kendrick? It's like an old I thought it was an old song. I know. I'm just joking. That's like the joke with Isaac is every rapper is Kendrick when I was a youth pastor because I was like, I'm not going to pretend like I know rappers. Clearly Eminem. Kendrick sounds different. Dude, is this Kendrick?
Starting point is 00:28:33 No, yeah. It's an old song. I don't know who sings it. Make sure it's a dry cop. J.R.K.C. Jake, let me just tell you some nice just heartwarming family tidbits. Warm me up, Papa. I got two of them that have happened recently. One of them was just for good behavior.
Starting point is 00:28:51 It sounds like they're in prison. Yeah, they were out on good behavior. We went to Andy's the other night, got some ice cream. Just the kids were being good, so we're going to Andy's. It was awesome. It was so fun. And while we were sitting there eating our ice cream, a fire truck truck comes, pulls up, which is just magical for kids. Uh, so firemen come, you know, they wave to Bo, you know, the guy's got a classic, like fireman's mustache
Starting point is 00:29:15 and Bo's just mesmerized by these guys. Like can't get enough of it. Um, so, and then one of the firemen that we see is our neighbor, uh, who gave us a tour, um, you know, back in the day of the fire station. And so he's like, you guys want to come see the truck? Of course they wanted to go see the truck. Of course I want to see the truck. And so it's just Americana, dude. It's just a great time of just like, you know, just a great, you know, end of summer evening, beautiful weather.
Starting point is 00:29:39 We're just eating ice cream. The sun is literally setting and there's this fire truck that my kids are loving, looking at and seeing all these different things. So it's a great night. As we're leaving, Hattie had found a quarter at Andy's earlier that night. As we're leaving, I had it in my pocket. She's like, Dad, can I have my quarter? I was like, yeah, sure. I thought she was just going to take it and
Starting point is 00:29:57 look at it, I guess, on the way home. She takes the quarter and she goes up to our neighbor who was giving them the tour and puts out the quarter and tried to give it to him like hey thanks for the tour yeah like just trying to be sweet of like i just want to give this to you and she had like been so mesmerized by finding this quarter earlier in the night like she loved it she was so excited she's saving up she's like i really want to save up and go to barnes and noble and you know she's so excited she took that quarter and she tried and of course the our fireman friend, Doug, he's like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:30:25 Just you keep the quarter. Thank you. But it was just so sweet. Had he just trying to give this fireman the quarter. That's an awesome quality. And I had never seen her be like that before, especially to a stranger. Like it's one thing like she can be sweet and share with Bo and Rosie and be very patient with them. But I've never seen her like the boldness that it took for her.
Starting point is 00:30:43 You know, like that's not her like personality naturally. Like she's definitely more reserved. And so for her to do that was like, look at her growing up. Talk about the sensational flower or whatever. Yes, that's right. That's her sensational sunflower. If she only would have, yeah, known that that quarter is going to grow into two, you know, cause she's saving it up or cause she's giving it away. Who knows? That's awesome. Um, so that was sweet. And then another one that's just a little more, um, relatable, just fun, like classic mom versus dad. Not that moms can't do the same thing, but like, this is just my personality. Uh, we went, we had dadder days. Uh, we went to McLean's for dadder days. Um, first of all, Rosie ate more than literally
Starting point is 00:31:24 any of us, More food than me. I mean, just that girl can put it down, dude. Like had just for reference for parents out there, they make these little applesauce pouches, you know those time? She had two of those. She had her banana, like a full banana.
Starting point is 00:31:40 And then I brought another banana for Bo. She also ate Bo's banana because Bo said he didn't want it. She ate two full bananas. Two full bananas and two applesauce pouches. And we had ordered – I mean I kind of feast out for data days at McLean's. So I had ordered eggs and bacon and berries and had a good amount of all three of those and water I think. Maybe that was it. But just dominating.
Starting point is 00:32:04 But anyway, after we ate we went out to mclean's like they have a little outside area where they have like life-size connect four you know those things yeah and the kids never play the connect four but they love playing like just putting them in there and playing with the little rings that come in the connect four game and just to like kill some time you know i'm always trying to kill time on dadder days for katherine to have time by herself at home. So I was like, what if you guys just – I bet you can't stack six of those things, those rings up.
Starting point is 00:32:32 And they did it. And he's like, I think we can get 20 of them. And I was like, let's see. Ambitious. And so then there were a few other kids, and all of a sudden it was like all the kids were working together to very carefully – it was like reverse Jenga almost almost like very carefully stack these rings. And then they would fall over and we'd all go crazy.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Like 23, that's amazing. Can you do 24? Can you get 24? And you know, once they start falling down, I don't know where Bo found this or what it was exactly, but Bo had some kind of stick apparatus or something.
Starting point is 00:33:02 So like, you know, 23 of them would fall. Like he did a good job of not hitting them over. Okay. But once, you know, the tower fell, there would still be like six or seven, like on a stack and boat come up and just whack them over, you know? And it was just like a great like moment. Like it was just a fun time. Like other kids were getting in on it and they were all, you know, there are other people eating at McLean's. I'm sure they were not happy with it. I kind of looked back and I'm like, you know, sorry, we're being a little rowdy. They're like, no, this is
Starting point is 00:33:27 great. Um, how old were the other kids that were helping? Like right around the same age that there was a boy had his age and then a girl Bo's age. And so it was like the inverse of us. Um, but the, and it was classic. Like the girl was a little bit more rambunctious, little three-year-old like Bo and the boy was a little more type a like firstborn. Yeah. It was very like on the nose for our family. And so the boy and Hattie were like, but you could see it, like you could see it start to like, Oh, they stacked that one a little bit off. And then there's a Devo in there somewhere, you know, one degree of off eventually makes it go bad. So you build your house on the crooked, right? Crooked foundation. So, um, anyway, and then I guess, yeah, that was, that was just a fun, like dad moment of like,
Starting point is 00:34:11 this is great. And then we went to the park afterwards and there were two kids at this park along with us. Um, and they came over to the playground. First of all, like I had let my kids take off their shoes and socks. Cause I was like, I don't care. Like if anything, it's, I like that. They're not wearing shoes grounding. Yes. Grounding a hundred percent. So these other kids who were about Hattie's age, these two boys came and started playing and they took off their shoes and
Starting point is 00:34:34 socks and their parents came over later. And you would have thought like, I don't know, like they had just stabbed a kid or something. They're like, do you like their parents? Do you have your shoes and socks off? Get your shoes and socks right now. Oh my God. Get them on right now. Get your shoes and
Starting point is 00:34:50 sock. Go over there and get yours. Where are they? And I'm just like, oh my gosh. Like, I don't know. It was one of those times where I was like, did I do this? Maybe I'm the, maybe I'm just like the classic, I don't know, epitome of homeschool dad. I don't think it's like a homeschool versus not, but I'm just like, I think it's totally normal and fine for them not to have shoes on, especially in, you know, something like this. And these parents thought it was like the biggest deal in the world. Put your shoes like, like one of the dads was like, like yelling at him to like, come over here, call it, come over here, call it, call it, come over here right now. Get your shoes and socks on Colin.
Starting point is 00:35:25 I'm like, oh my gosh. Like, genuinely, you thought they did something very bad. I didn't know what to think. And I was just sitting there. I was like, you know, 40 feet away from my kids, just letting them roam, letting them play, you know, fake restaurant or whatever they're doing. Yeah. Because I think your kids know, like, if there are dirty needles on the ground,
Starting point is 00:35:43 just don't step on them. We've always said dirty needles just say no. I tried. Dirty needles, they're like beetles. Squish them, but don't touch it afterwards. That was good. Second try was great. Dirty needles are like dirty beetles mm-hmm you could squish them but don't touch a map but do
Starting point is 00:36:11 you really want to just avoid those bad boys Kansas so no dirty needles yeah yeah good good words to live by did you take off your shoes oh my gosh call it like something the dad needs to call in on a therapist or something. Maybe he should have a call. It was one of those times where I think one of the moms had one of those bejeweled cups or something.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Personal. It was like a Tumblr, like a Yeti Tumblr, but it looked like it was like they bought it off Facebook Marketplace and she might have wine in there or something. One of those kind of moms. like not trying to judge, whatever, do your thing, but like do your thing. Yeah. A little different than me. I'll just say that. So speaking of bejeweled Taylor Swift song on her latest album, I love it. I feel like I'm the token Swifty in the room. Yes. Well, you're going to do, I don't know, a three-way tie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:04 Between us three. Yeah. Uh, we talked about the Monday episode. We were going to do i don't know a three-way tie yeah between us three yeah uh we talked about the monday episode we're going to do the taylor swift the the schmores of taylor swift songs yes taylor swift's best songs yes uh hopefully at the time this is getting posted she's still very much you know her and travis hope they're doing well uh man i hope so what what what do you do you genuinely hope so like forever? Do you want them to get married? I don't know. I think if they're right for each other, sure, get married. But I'm not going to be disappointed if they don't get married.
Starting point is 00:37:32 I'm going to assume they made a good decision. Good for you. Tymon, looks like you're winning at least the Barry's one. What did we do last Wednesday? We did months. Oh yeah, months. The results of that one have not come out yet,
Starting point is 00:37:47 so we don't have anything to go off of. But Tymon is going to win the berries, schmores, so you get to pick the order for Taylor Swift's songs. Okay. Starting point is 00:40:45 Brad me Jake great Brad that means you go first yeah and this does you can use the songs when she was Hannah Montana you can do those two oh my gosh best of both worlds yeah okay that's my first pick well gotcha
Starting point is 00:41:02 haha that was Miley yeah um I was Okay, that's my first pick. Well, gotcha. That was Miley. Yeah. I was riding shotguns, a hair undone, in a vacito's car. That's my first pick. What's that song called? That song is called...
Starting point is 00:41:18 Don't tell me. I know it. Our song. Good. Our song. Sang it at a grand debut with Tymon. Yeah. That was fun.
Starting point is 00:41:27 We need to do a rendition of that for Patreon. A little acoustic version. Yeah. You and me, baby. Was that, I feel like that was maybe one of the last good country songs that she made before she made the transition into pop, I feel like. What do you think, Tymon, about that stance? Because I have opinions, but I want to hear yours first.
Starting point is 00:41:43 I have no idea. Okay. Yeah. I have no idea. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Educated. I do like that feel of a song. Also, it has some, what's it called, nostalgia for me because we did a country-style party at camp,
Starting point is 00:41:59 and that was one of the songs on the playlist. Yep. And, you know, the playlist is short enough because you have to get them, like, the songs approved. So the playlist is like 11 songs and so you hear the song more than once per party and then you hear it,
Starting point is 00:42:09 you know, every two weeks for the whole summer. So it does definitely make me think of, you know, the Hoedown party. That's good.
Starting point is 00:42:17 Our song is my first pick. Cool. My first pick is Love Story. Dang, I wanted that one. I like that song a lot. It's good. That song reminds me of camp
Starting point is 00:42:25 because we would always play it during the Western parties. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Sing it. You got to sing a line. All I can think of is like the key change.
Starting point is 00:42:34 It's like... It's bound by the ring and said... Marry me, Juliet. You'll never have to be alone. I love you and that's all I really know. When does the key change? Right there. I just interrupted it? No.
Starting point is 00:42:49 Ring and said, marry me. Oh, that last chorus? Hold out a ring and said, marry me, Juliet. That's where the key changes. Wow, I can barely even hear that. I'm sure you're singing it perfectly. With context, I feel like it's easier. Yeah, you would hear it. Really? You'd hear it. You'd hear it you did it yeah okay let's go uh
Starting point is 00:43:09 let's go 22 i think it's a fun fun little pop song okay uh how many people don't listen to that song on their 22nd birthday because i feel like it's just like a staple. Like, you gotta. I don't. Well, not yet. Tymon, you will. Tymon probably will. Yeah, I don't know why. It's just at the top of my list. It was one of the first ones I thought of,
Starting point is 00:43:31 so go with it. 22. Great song. Great song. That was really fun. Next, I'm going to go with a song. It's in the wedding video. Check it out on Patreon.
Starting point is 00:43:40 Going to go Paper Rings. Love that one. Remind me how that one goes. I'm a huge one, but Tymon doesn't remember that i think uh i think i that's the one that's like or jake you want um go for it the lyrics are i'd marry you with paper rings um does that help it's like i like shiny things but i marry you with paper rings uh-huh that's Uh-huh. That's right.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Uh-huh. Darling, you're the one I wanted. Or something like that. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Good. Catchy little tune. Thank you, Tymon.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Good. Okay. Good answer. Tymon, don't you dare take my next answer. Okay. I can't believe I didn't pick it with my first pick. I'm trying to just go with the ones I like. Same.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Blank Space. Yeah. Good one. Good answer. Good answer. Also, the ones I like. Same. Blank space. Yeah, good one. Good answer, good answer. Also, Sonny Grande boo. Yes. Also, did you guys hear two weeks ago when Travis Kelsey did score a touchdown, the announcer was like,
Starting point is 00:44:37 it looks like Kelsey found a blank space in the end zone. Honestly, it wasn't bad. It could have been worse. It was like, well, this is quite the love story. You know, that would have been a little easier, but blank space wasn't bad. It could have been worse. It was like, well, this is quite the love story. You know, that would have been a little cheesier, but Blink Space isn't bad. Well, did you like my text yesterday? Was it cheesy?
Starting point is 00:44:52 What did you say? The Chiefs had 14 points. Oh, that was great. What if the Chiefs score another touchdown, which would be 20 points, and then they convert a two-point conversion for 22 points, and then Arrowhead over the speakers is blast that would be amazing it's a good it's a good anthem like how cool would it be if andy reed
Starting point is 00:45:16 also just like did that i think that's what i texted i was like that would be a great way to find out andy reed's huge swifty he just gets us to 22 points. All right. My next one. And I looked up top Taylor Swift songs. I haven't seen it on the top 15 yet, but it is my favorite Taylor Swift song. Shake It Off. I love Shake It Off. Oh, that's probably one of my least favorite ones. I love Shake It Off.
Starting point is 00:45:39 I can't stand that song. No way. There's some cheesy parts of that song. Oh, the drum beat, though, is so good. You could have been getting down. It's a sick beat. Don't do that to me, Tymon. It's not sick.
Starting point is 00:45:52 It is a sick beat. Oh, it is. This sick beat. Whatever. It is a clean drum line. Drummers out there, back me up. I feel like it's so simple, though. But it's clean.
Starting point is 00:46:04 It's simple and clean. Okay. It played on beat. Yes. Here there we go time this on beat beat to this on beat beat that's funny okay um and then i think the next one i'm gonna do is anti-hero yeah. Stole that one from me. That's a new one. Good. It's me. Hi. I'm the problem. It's me.
Starting point is 00:46:31 It's me. Hi. That's a really sick beat on TikTok. So. The latest season of You, great show, Netflix, the season finale is, it's the perfect song. feels like taylor swift was commissioned to write this song about joe goldberg and you and like how you're rooting for
Starting point is 00:46:52 this guy but like i don't know why i'm rooting for this guy okay he sucks he's the anti-hero it's awesome like it blended well together spoiler spoiler that's the song that's one of the songs in the episode back to time i'm like already running out of songs i actually know um sorry man i took the tiktok one oh champagne problems oh okay i don't know i don't think it's a huge one i that one might get you some good votes though with but i think it's pretty it's really pretty you know the people that are deep-cut people. Deep tracks only. The 21 and older community. Champagne.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Oh, gosh, of course. People that have listened to 22 for at least a year. Okay. Cool. I think this is still up for grabs. I Knew You Were Trouble. When You Walked In? When... Yeah. Oh, it was When You Walked In. I think this is still up for grabs. I knew you were trouble. When you walked in? When,
Starting point is 00:47:46 when, yeah. I'm trying to think when, what, oh, it was when you walked in. That's a fun one. That's good.
Starting point is 00:47:52 Yeah. That's someone with like the, there's like memes of it just screaming. Yes. The goat meme. Boom, boom. Ah!
Starting point is 00:48:00 Which is the best part of the song. I love that part. Yeah. It's no sick beat, but it's a good song. It's no sick beat, but it's a good song. It's no sick beat. I mean, Taylor Swift,
Starting point is 00:48:08 if we're, if we're giving her credit said my song had a sick beat that I chose. Okay. I have like 15 other songs on my list. I don't even know what to choose. Let's just go with, uh, um,
Starting point is 00:48:23 let's go with welcome to New York. oh welcome to new york fun one welcome to new york uh new york it's been waiting for all right those are mine back to you timing okay this my last one is bad blood not even because i love the song I don't love the song that much, but it's just hilarious to me because there's this random dumb sleepover vibes, like video that Zach made. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like this dumbest skit thing,
Starting point is 00:48:59 and then it just cuts to this guy slow dancing with a guitar with Bad Blood playing, and it does not make any sense. And I laugh every time I think about it. So yeah, that's a good answer. I'm pretty sure that was a song. There was another version that did actually feature Kendrick Lamar in it.
Starting point is 00:49:14 Yes. I remember it came out. It was like this pretty cool. It is on my top 50 list that I'm looking at here. That's a good one. Yeah. That's a good song. That one,
Starting point is 00:49:22 the first time, no, not the first time. I think the second time I ever met not the first time. I think the second time I ever met Zach Warehand, like I met him once because he came over and helped me move a table. He was our neighbor for a second, but he was like very quiet and normal. And then the next time I met him, he was coming home from work and he used to have an old Toyota Sienna minivan. Okay. And he came driving by while I'm working in the driveway, blasting Bad Blood. Because you know we got Bad Blood!
Starting point is 00:49:47 And so I will always think of you, Zach, every time I hear that song now. Did you see he finished in Iron Man yesterday? Yes, dude! That's crazy. Amazing. That is such an accomplishment. Yes.
Starting point is 00:49:57 Shout out, Warehan. Shout out, Warehan. Okay. My last pick. I'm so surprised this one's even here at this point. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Oh, that's good. That's really catchy.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Thanks, Tymon. It's a good one. I know that one, so I picked it. The catalog she has is amazing. The catalog. I mean, she's like the East Bay of artists. Circling so many of them. Yeah, it's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:50:23 I just know it. I'll be honest. You do know it. Yeah. It's one of the ones you know.. I'll be honest. You do know it. Yeah. It's one of the ones you know. So that's my picks. So let's see. Brad says, our song, Shake It Off.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Anti-hero? Anti-hero? I go anti. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Timon, Love Story, Blank Space, Champagne Problems, Bad Blood. Jake, 22, Paper Rings. I Knew You Were Trouble, Welcome to New York. I got a lot of honorable mentions on this list, dude.
Starting point is 00:50:48 Yeah? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Which one? Probably Dear John, Lover, Fearless, Cardigan, The Way I Loved You, Mastermind, Cruel Summer, Marjorie, Back to December, Cowboy Like Me, Illicit Affairs. Any of those I could have picked, but I didn't. I know one that I did not pick. I hate this song. Look what you made me do. Yeah. That one felt
Starting point is 00:51:10 like it as, as a non Swifty, that one felt like the, the about face for a Taylor Swift personality wise. Yeah. That album was very much like, and I remember when that came out, like at midnight or whatever, it was in college and it was like whoa check out this song yeah she's kind of different got a little dark because i think before that if i remember she had like deleted social media no one had heard from her in like a year maybe longer and then all of a sudden she's like oh she's got this dark side to her and the old taylor can't come to the phone right now she's why she's dead yeah it was scary look what you made me do also i remember when it came out thinking like this sounds exactly like um Sexy for My Shirt.
Starting point is 00:51:46 Yeah. Very similar melody. I think it got like copy or whatever. Like they got in trouble for that. Really? Yeah. That makes sense. Sounds a lot like it.
Starting point is 00:51:53 Tell me you listen to that song when you're older. Okay. Tim, close yours. The song I was listening to in the airport this morning that I was like pretending to have so much fun to was Paris by Taylor Swift. So shout out to the song Paris. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:05 It's a good one. Cool. Other favorites of mine, All You Had to Do Was Stay, Hits Different, also in the wedding video, Patreon, Wildest Dreams.
Starting point is 00:52:14 I almost went with Wildest Dreams. I know that one. Yeah, that was almost my fourth pick. And then Cruel Summer, that one's like four years old, but it's on TikTok right now. Again, it's trending. I wish I would have said this one. Ready for it.
Starting point is 00:52:28 Are you ready for it? I love that. That like... That part's awesome. Do it one more time. Are you ready for it? I bet your sister could rock it up. Caitlin, make a dance. Make a dance to that song.
Starting point is 00:52:49 You're good at making pop songs sound fun with your own mouth. Yeah, thanks, man. Yeah. You know what, Jake? Teardrops on my guitar, another one that I actually like. You know what I would love is if you made a Taylor Swift playlist to educate me on the good Taylor Swift Okay, I yeah, I'll do my best. I I typically
Starting point is 00:53:10 like So what I'm trying to say sway sure sway I Lean lean towards the pop songs. Uh-huh. I I don't get into the slow There's gotta be another go see out there that might be more well equipped to do it than you Yeah, unless you just want the pop songs and it sounds like Jakeake's your guy i'm your pop guy okay it's a pop guy cool cool i'll make one for you it'd be fun it'd be fun for a ghosty to make like a you know here are the defining personality songs you need to know for taylor swift in her career and then first to start, are you ready for it? That is good. That is close to the sound, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:53:49 It's awesome. It's a great little line. Yeah. So. All right. Playlist for time and slash whoever else coming up. We'll put it in the Facebook group. Cool.
Starting point is 00:54:00 Cool. Cool. Cool. Okay. Okay. Yeah, sure. Cool. That's great. Okay, cool um i have a win i have a win for
Starting point is 00:54:10 my week holy cow you got a win yeah for wednesday um told you that we went to barbecue at oklahoma joe's probably should be the win right there because kensley's barbecue is amazing um but for whatever for multiple reasons mainly because we're trying to get in line because it's a long line. I got there with just Bo early. So Bo and I took our own separate car, took the truck. And so on the way home, there's just me and Bo in the truck again.
Starting point is 00:54:35 And we listened to the same song seven times in a row and just went nuts to it, dude. Like I said, we were on a frozen kick right now. So the very first song in frozen to like start the whole movie out is Frozen Heart. It's so good. And it's such a good song, dude. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:51 And it's only like two minutes long. But Bo, I notice he's really getting into it. So I'm in the truck, so I'm pretty close to him, like in the back seat. And I noticed he's into it. So I started cranking it up and we went nuts and there's a line that stronger than one, stronger than 10, stronger than a hundred men. And Bo and I were just going nuts, driving down I-35 to this song, dude. It was awesome. It was like the highlight of my night of my week. It was just rocking out with my son to that song. And like,
Starting point is 00:55:25 and he's kind of like doing like, he doesn't really know how to like be theatrical yet, but he's kind of trying to do stuff with his hands while he's singing it. And it was just awesome. So anyway, great song with Bo, win of the week. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:55:38 I think my win of the week is going to be what I had for dinner last night. Oh, talk to me. One simple syrup was involved. Yeah. Which I'm big on, but I ordered, I think if Rachel is around. Oh, talk to me. One simple syrup was involved. Yeah. Which I'm big on, but I ordered, I think if Rachel is around,
Starting point is 00:55:49 maybe she can correct me, but I think what I ordered was a King Ranch chicken casserole. Yep. I've never had anything like this. Catherine makes a good one, dude. Serve that puppy up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:58 Come on over brother. I, I just ordered it because it was one of two things on the menu that were chicken. It's like, sure. Yeah. It seems like I would like it. And it looked like a huge, just like biscuit. It looked like an enlarged just biscuit. Oh, interesting. That is not like Catherine's. Okay. Yeah. It wasn't like in a casserole dish. It was like a self-sustaining circular biscuit,
Starting point is 00:56:19 really high, really thick. And I don't even know. I kept saying, I don't know what I'm eating. I don't, I can't identify the flavors. It's like a flavor explosion. I can't. And I don't even know. I kept saying, I don't know what I'm eating. I can't identify the flavors. It's like a flavor explosion in your mouth. But I can't stop. I don't know what's in it. I assume just butter and cheese probably. It tastes amazing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:32 So whatever I discovered last night, King Ranch chicken casserole, win of the week. Normally, I'm not a big food guy, but that was pretty phenomenal. That's awesome. A little simple syrup, sweet tea to wash it down. That's cool. Ty, you got a win by chance? I just thought of one. Okay. I laughed the hardest I've laughed in a long time syrup sweet tea to wash it down. That's cool. Tymon, you got a win by chance? I just thought of one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:46 I laughed the hardest I've laughed in a long time this week with Zach. Thank you. Oh, okay. But it was like, so Zach's trying to get into videography. Okay. And so I was going to teach him kind of how to edit some stuff. We were going through a thing that he shot and whatever. And there was this one, it's his mom in the video. It's for a business she's part of. edit some stuff we're like going through like a thing that he like shot and whatever and there
Starting point is 00:57:05 was one it's his mom in the video it's like for business she's like part of um and i was like going through it and you know like when you scroll through a timeline like i don't know if you hear the you hear the sound like but you can like just adjust how you hear it and like i was just like randomly going through a sentence and i was just scrolling back and forth. And it just makes like the, just random. It's like, she's in the middle of a sentence. It's like,
Starting point is 00:57:27 well, for some reason, whatever this sound was, it just like killed tickled. Yeah. Yeah. And we were in the middle of a library. We were in a library.
Starting point is 00:57:39 So it's like dead. That makes it even funnier. We're just silent laughing. Yeah. It was, it was the best. I love that. That's funny. You're in a library working. Yeah. It was the best. I love that. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:57:45 You're at a library working. Yeah. Brad Ellis style. Lenexa City Library. Oh. Dude, that's a good one. I'm there all the time, brother. That was my first time there.
Starting point is 00:57:52 It's a great one. Upstairs, downstairs? Upstairs. Good for you. Okay. Good back. One of those, yeah. Must be nice.
Starting point is 00:57:59 No, I'm a downstairs one, but that's good, man. Lenexa Library is nice. Very nice. Good rooms there. Yeah, they have all these weird pods that you can be in, all these different chairs. They have cubicles, but they're circle-icles. They're not cubicles, but they're cool.
Starting point is 00:58:15 Yeah, that's good. Shut our Mizzen and Main brand deal there. Yeah, we did. Comment of the week. Yep. I've got one on YouTube. Me too. Came out this morning.
Starting point is 00:58:25 This just really buttered my casserole oh yeah that's a good one it was just nice I want to say thank you from Abigail she said Jake you're very witty

Starting point is 00:58:57 That was very nice phrase thing. I saw when I got off the plane this morning, no more airplane mode. I didn't see how the ghost stories episode is doing. I was like, Rachel, look at this. I'd say it's doing pretty well. I'd say, dialed in. Dialed in.
