Starting point is 00:00:00 Jake, just the other night, I was at home by myself with my kids. Catherine was away serving somebody at church. And so I was having a great conversation with them. What was she serving them? She was literally serving dinner for this group. I thought maybe it was like a repo. Yeah. Like, hey, you've been served. You've been served. She just takes manila folders to people and just like, hey,
Starting point is 00:00:24 on behalf of the Nexa Baptist Church... You have a restraining order. You're being sued. Yeah she just takes manila folders to people and just like, hey, on behalf of the next Baptist church. You have a restraining order. You're being sued. Yeah. You cannot come back here. No, but every once in a while with Hattie, especially, I love like being like playing dumb and like letting her like answer like God-based, like faith-based questions. And so, you know, I'm like, so wait, like who, like God and Jesus, they're like, they're not, they're the same so, you know, I'm like, so wait, like, like who, like God and Jesus, they're like, they're not, they're the same person, you know, and like asking her this kind of stuff and wait. So like, I do a lot of good things in life. Like that means I'm okay. Right.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Like, you know, like, no, we've all sinned, you know, like, and like, she just like, you know, it's so fun to like, listen to how much she's learned, how much she knows. Um, and it's so funny, like here and like, she knows like some deep, like she can tell the entire story of Cain and Abel, all these different fun things. Uh, but there was one specific, like we were talking and I was like, okay, so it's just God and Jesus. There's not like a third part. Like, there's not like a, like a triune, you know? And she kind of like knew that I was messed with. She's like, I don't know what you mean. Uh, and I'm like, is there like was messed with. She's like, I don't know what you mean. And I'm like, is there like a third one?
Starting point is 00:01:27 She's like, oh, yes. And Bo just interrupts and goes, yeah, there's a woman up there. Yeah. Like he's like so excited. He's like, there's a woman in heaven with God and Jesus. Yes. I was like a woman. And he was so confident. He's like, yep earth there's a woman and he's like no it's the holy spirit and
Starting point is 00:01:53 he's like no it's a woman hattie uh-oh oh i think this tight beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts and white me too midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat so come along let's have some fun and go It was a great little thing. That's funny. I don't remember if I ever told this on the podcast, but I remember my cousin, Steve-O, back in the day. We'd see each other a few times a year, and there was one point in life where he was a year older than me,
Starting point is 00:02:38 so he was learning stuff a little quicker. Oh, he learned stuff. He knew some stuff. Yeah, I mean, he was going to... He was in the city. Yeah, what middle school would he have gone to up here? California Trail. Big rivals of FT, Frontier Trail, where I went.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Ooh. Yeah, he was learning all sorts of stuff. This Trapper wasn't learning. But I remember him coming, you know, one Christmas, coming back to Grandma's house and was like, yeah, we're all made of molecules, because I guess he had learned that in science. And I just remember being like, no.
Starting point is 00:03:06 God made us. And he was like, no, no, no, we're made up of molecules. And I just remember being like, no, God made us. And he was like, no, no, no, we're made up of molecules. And I was like, no, God did. You don't get it. And there's a woman up there who helped. I know there's a woman. So that was me and Bo. I was like, no, I, no, it's God.
Starting point is 00:03:23 I don't, never heard of this molecule thing. Right. That's on the Bible. Oh yeah. It reminds me of like whenever growing up, whenever we would hear like millions, because they'd be like, oh, millions of years. Like, no, it was like God created it. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:32 But we'd hear millions, like it all, like a million things. Like, no, that's not true. Oh, yeah. Like the word million doesn't even, that's not a real number. It's all made up. Evolution's a sham. And that's amazing. Like, yeah, that guy's a millionaire. There's no. Evolution's a sham. That's amazing. Yeah, that guy's a millionaire.
Starting point is 00:03:46 There's no way he's a millionaire. That guy's at most $1,400 worth. At most, that guy's got $2,300. Just the word million became taboo. Were you pretty sheltered? We couldn't watch Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. That's hilarious. Really?
Starting point is 00:04:03 Why? We didn't like millions. Are you kidding me? Who Wants to Be a to be a millionaire. That's hilarious. Why? Uh, we didn't like millions. Are you kidding me? Who wants to be a millionaire? Yeah. That's amazing. Uh, what do you think about the idea? Not that I'm planning on doing standup anytime soon, but I've thought about like talking
Starting point is 00:04:15 about how we shelter our kids and like making the joke about like, yeah, like we, we water down on the LaCroix for kids. Is that a funny joke? Yeah. Yeah. Just a nice little offhanded thing. Okay. Just random, but thought about it. Nice. work with that. Yeah. Just a little something to
Starting point is 00:04:29 get it started. Yeah. Cause we literally sometimes do that. We're like, they don't, I mean, it's like they have like half of either their water bottle still. And I'm like, they asked for some LaCroix and I just put it in there. I'm like, that's fine for them. Any kind of flavor is good to them. So, yeah. Sorry. I'm like trying to write it right now. It's like, yeah, we, we let them do, I think it's like in a list. Like we let them do this, we let them do this, but we do water down their little cry. Okay. Yeah. There you go. The old three. That's how I would do it. Yep. Okay. And you're the pro. Uh, yeah, I've been doing a lot recently. I went to, have you, sorry, go ahead. I was just going to say, have you ever
Starting point is 00:05:06 counted up how many shows you've done as far as doing a lot? I wasn't just trying to interrupt you just to interrupt you, Jake. I was trying to interrupt you for your sake. For the sake of... Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. No, I've never counted. I don't know what it would be. 150, 200? We got to have a commemorative thing for your 200th show. Because surely it's... Yeah, you got to be getting close. Yeah, I don't know where we'd be. Yeah, really never taking the time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:29 So, but yeah, we just announced more dates for 2024. So probably get to 200 here in a bit. But yeah, so last week we recorded the podcast on a Monday, which you normally don't do, because that was my only day in town. I flew back from Austin that day. And then the very next morning left for Nashville for two days and then four days of standup. And, uh, now we're back again and I leave tomorrow again. So it's kind of crazy. What was, uh, more enjoyable for you?
Starting point is 00:05:55 Whatever. Let's, let's, let's, let's break them up. Let's do, let's talk about Nashville first and let's talk about comedy. Cause I'm sure you can be like, no, it was all good. Of course it's all good. But yeah, I feel like, uh, they were all good. Nashville first. I went with Trey, Derek, Trey's assistant, Hannah. We went to Nashville purely to do correct opinions, interviews. Okay. Remember how much we talked about that on the podcast leading up to it. But it is hard to remember. Like, what did we talk about? What did I give in real life? Yeah. What is a podcast now? right but uh well first things first this podcast is brought to you by good ranchers American meat delivered yeah first
Starting point is 00:06:30 things first first things first yeah now that the podcast has started uh sorry I'm just quick tangent should we like talk in British accents every time we're not on the podcast so we remember like what conversations we did have you know like, like I thought I'm going Nashville. Talk to the influences. Yeah. I thought you were saying we talk in British accents. Anytime we're not talking about good Rangers because they're American. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Yeah. That's a good idea too. Hello. Yeah. Yeah. That's a good idea. Dude. Speak those accents.
Starting point is 00:07:00 I, uh, we, we put on gladiator last night. Uh, are you not entertained at probably like 9. PM. Rachel was like, I am last night. Are you not entertained? At probably like 9 p.m. Rachel was like, I am so tired. I am like ready for bed.
Starting point is 00:07:09 That's a great movie to watch at 9 p.m. I was like, let's go to bed then. Rachel was like, no, we can't go to bed at 9 p.m. Like, this is a good January bedtime. I cannot be falling asleep in October at 9 p.m. I was like, all right, whatever. She's like, just put something on that you want to watch because I'm going to fall asleep no matter what. And it's all like Gladiator is now on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:07:26 I was like, this is one of those movies that everyone makes fun of me so much for not seeing. You'd never seen it. Never seen it. I'm going to make fun of you so much for that. People, you haven't seen Gladiator. I did. And I'm like, I just said that I hadn't.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Still haven't. It's been 10 seconds. Take away your Y chromosome, bro. Oh my gosh. Give me your man card. Where's your wallet? Yeah, give him the wallet. It's probably in your front pocket. Oh my gosh. Give me your man card. Where's your wallet? Give him the wallet. It's probably in your front pocket.
Starting point is 00:07:46 In your purse. I know. Never seen Gladiator. Never seen Lord of the Rings while we're at it. You never seen... Take away your nerd card while we're at it. Take away your elf card. Take away your Smeagol. Alright, drop your pants. Let me see your Smeagol.
Starting point is 00:08:05 This guy's got a shriveled Smeagol. All right, drop your pants. Let me see your Smeagol. This guy's got a shriveled Smeagol. Oh, yeah. Precious. I don't know. I've never seen it either. I'm just putting buzzwords out there. Rudy's in it. Yeah, Rudy's in it. You've never seen Rudy? Yeah, I've seen Rudy. Tymon's like, what's Rudy? Yeah, he's like, Rudy. Like've never seen Rudy? Yeah, I've seen Rudy. Tymon's like, what's Rudy?
Starting point is 00:08:25 Yeah, he's like Rudy. Like a Rudy Giuliani documentary. So I put on Gladiator. Here's my... The beginning is slow. My thought is I think this is a great movie if you saw it 20 years ago. I think if you're 32 years old...
Starting point is 00:08:40 How far did you get? ...and you watch it for the first time, enough to see nothing but just a lot of sword fighting and British dialogue. There's a lot of dialogue in it. Yeah. Did you see the part where he's in the arena and he says, are you not entertained? I actually did see that part. And you
Starting point is 00:08:55 didn't think this is amazing? That part was cool. That's a good line. This is not why you are here! And then everyone starts chanting Spaniard and he just dominates everybody. Yeah. You need the subtitles too. I think when you're 32 watching for the first time. That does not sound like Spaniard, and he just dominates everybody. Yeah. You need the subtitles, too. I think when you're 32, watch it for the first time. That's not sound like Spaniard
Starting point is 00:09:08 if you don't know what you're saying. What does it sound like? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Spaniard. Went down, do some entree, came back up. Now he's fighting a tiger. Missed that part.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Yeah. I was like, whoa. See? Yeah. Give it its fair shake. Hey, this is my acquired taste thing, though. If it takes an hour to get into it, how good of a movie can it be? Fair.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Yeah, it does go slow at the beginning. It was very slow. Yeah, they're walking through the fields with their hands on the grass and stuff. Love that shot. Yeah. It's a good shot, but it does take a while to get into it. The whole first battle, too. No idea who's on whose side.
Starting point is 00:09:45 How do they do that in general? Forget Hollywood. Just old-time fighting. They're not uniforms. I feel like they're fighting by moonlight. How do you know who's on your team? They're using dogs. How do the dogs know who's on their team?
Starting point is 00:09:58 Oh, they can smell it. There's a difference in the smells of the Vikings. The Roman smell. The Norse. Oh, 100%. I guarantee there was accidental decapitations all over the place. Yeah. Like, oh, sorry, Brian. I didn't know.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Oh, I thought you I'll tell your wife. I'll tell your wife. It was admirable. I'm sorry, buddy. Oh, and he's this is probably too grab, but he's still like halfway alive for like five more seconds. Just like, no problem. I shouldn't have been standing there.
Starting point is 00:10:30 Yeah. I went down there to get some guys and there wasn't anybody there. So I came back and you saw me coming the other way. No problem. Give my love to Sheila. Ah, dang it. Chad, my bad. I thought I heard German behind me so i just swung
Starting point is 00:10:46 yeah i forgot you're half german i forgot that yeah you were trying to like spy on them tell her i love her time and i also love your thoughts because i don't know if this was just the era of time and i think that air probably came out 20 years ago or so but all the slow motion was not shot with like the 180 degree roll it was like choppy slow motion you know like every now and they do that movie i'm sure they did it on purpose like high shutter speed uh but it except it would have been low shutter speed oh like it wasn't smooth so much in 24 and just like slowed down right yes yes no yeah um they are so much of that the first five minutes of the movie.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Interesting. It's like you wonder how much they planned on it being slow motion. Yeah, I don't know. One shot in holes with the shoes falling from the sky is shot in just like, not slow motion, but it's slowed down. They slowed it down. Well, it's a kids movie, so it's filmed by kids, Tymon.
Starting point is 00:11:42 The whole thing, yeah. Kids teaching kids. So this was filmed by people from the whole thing yeah kids teaching kids so this was was filmed by people from you know 45 ad yeah not millions of years ago by any means but well uh i mean the same feeling you have towards gladiator and like this seems outdated is how i felt i didn't watch braveheart until i was probably 25 years old and it bet it's similar, though. It's just so many swords. It was like this fighting scene is a little bit goofy, kind of.
Starting point is 00:12:11 It's like, oh, this is kind of a weird camera angle on this thing. But yeah, you still have to appreciate the deeper meaning. I don't know. When you know this is special, it's like, okay. There's some historical aspects
Starting point is 00:12:23 to each of those movies. Those are kind of fun. Yeah. Joaquin Phoenix. Joaquin Phoenix, you hate that guy in that movie. Yeah, yeah. Not cool. He is a good villain in that movie.
Starting point is 00:12:34 So when he does this, did you and Rachel get into the – did she see the up and down thumbs? Oh, no. She was sleeping six minutes. Okay. She didn't see anything. She's like, no, we can't go to bed nine o'clock but let's go to bed at like 906 and on the couch too instead of the bed yeah so her fault
Starting point is 00:12:52 yeah anyway nashville um we talked all about that just because of british so um we had a bunch of interviews lined up before we got there i had a few people bail which is kind of a bummer or like once we flew to Nashville, like, ooh, not going to work anymore. Wait, Christian Bale? You had a few people with Christian Bale? Well, yeah, just other people in Christian Bale's family. I thought he was a Hollywood guy, yeah. But we did get to interview Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line.
Starting point is 00:13:19 We got to interview, her name is Amy Brown. She co-hosts like the Bobby bobby bone show like the biggest like country music my uh my sister-in-law robin shout out robin hey rob praying for you robin love you uh she is from austin which is where bobby bones like back when bobby bones was like a small like just small show and she's like i am geeking out over my favorite podcaster and my favorite radio show people meeting up. She's like, this is the coolest thing I've ever seen. I think to the right people, this is really exciting.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Because I've heard of Bobby Bones. He's a national radio guy. Yeah. So we went straight from Tyler to Amy and then straight to Shea Mooney's house from Dan and Shea. And that was the first day. Break them down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Tyler Hubba Hood. Tywo Hubba. I'm speaking in British accent, guys. It's not me. It's not me struggling. It's just how they talk in England. Jeez. It is a wonder that I'm very thankful that that doesn't slip out
Starting point is 00:14:26 when I perform more often. I will say, I say the word girlfriend a few times when I perform. And every now and then I notice, like, it's getting weak. Like, if you Google how to find out your girlfriend's ring size, that's where I struggle every show.
Starting point is 00:14:40 Your girlfriend. Yeah, it's like too many of them in a row. Which everybody probably feels that a little bit. Hey, thanks. Hey, you're welcome. Thanks, Andy. Hey, thanks, Andy. Thanks. Tymon, we're just quoting Daryl Strawberry. Oh, Daryl Strawberry. Daryl Filbin. Filbin Strawberry.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Tyler Hubbard. Yeah. Cool guy. Chuba's brother. Yeah, Chuba Hubbard. Yeah. Running back. Daryl Strawberry. You get it. Daryl Strawberry. Cool guy. Dressedl Strawberry. You get it, Daryl Strawberry. Cool guy, dressed really cool. What does that mean to you? Sorry for interrupting, Amy. He was just dressed cool.
Starting point is 00:15:14 But also, I saw, I was like, oh, he was also on John Chris' podcast a while ago. And I think he was wearing the exact same outfit. So he's got the token, like, this is my outfit. This is my podcast outfit. I get that a little bit. I'm like, hey. I'm starting to do it performing. Yeah, you got your performing outfit.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Yeah. But no, he was cool. And the more I was like digging into it leading up to the interview, it kind of starts to dawn on me like, okay, this is about to be like a big deal. Like this guy is huge. Like Florida Georgia Line was massive on Wikipedia, or I should say, according to Wikipedia,
Starting point is 00:15:41 Cruise is the best-selling digital song of all time. Okay. Whatever that means. I mean, that seems pretty impressive. I don't know if that means streams or... Who cares? Best-selling of anything.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Anything. Whatever. It's number one. If it were the best-selling podcast in Kansas, I would be so proud of that. You know what I mean? And that's a very much more niche thing than whatever that is.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Yeah, I think we forget how big Cruise was. I think that was kind of the first of its kind of that stadium country pop rock, you know, it was a fun one. Nelly was in it. They've had a few with Nelly. I don't know if Nelly was in Cruz.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Was he? Oh, geez. I'm sorry. Yeah. But they've had a couple with Nelly one kind of recently. Um, time.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Can you look up if Nelly was in that? I feel like it, maybe not. Jake's probably listening to it recently. Uh, so it was just fun to talk to someone. Yeah. Um, time. Can you look up if Nelly was in that? I feel like it, maybe not. Jake's probably listening to it recently. Uh, so it was just fun to talk to someone who, uh, yeah, it's just, I mean, this guy has done arenas. He's done stadiums. Like what he's performed is a whole nother level to anything I've done. So it was just fun to ask like from performer to performer, like just fun questions. Like what's like your worst gig or what's on your rider or like what are things you'll never do again?
Starting point is 00:16:46 Yeah, yeah. Was he, is Floor Georgia Line, that's tough, Floor Georgia Line? I get it. Floor Georgia Line. Tyler Hubbard,
Starting point is 00:16:53 Floor Georgia Line. Is that the one that used to be a worship band or a Christian band? Maybe a little bit. We didn't go into that a ton, but I think he did grow up with like Christian roots.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Okay. So it could be. I think it might be. Like I think they went from that to, a ton, but I think he did grow up with like Christian roots. Okay. Um, so it could be, I think it might be like, I think they went from that to, you know, whatever that was. Brand new Chevy to live kit looks a heck of a lot better with you up in it. Come on. Come on. Yeah. Uh, Nelly timing. Uh, there's a remix with Nelly. I don't think for Cruz though. Yes. Okay. So maybe there's two different... Yeah. Hey, that'll count. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Yeah. I take it. So we're talking to him, and I wasn't really ever starstruck or anything. He's just like, this is a normal guy, whatever. But I was nervous when he said... When we were talking about
Starting point is 00:17:38 the worst gigs he's ever done, he was like, I'll tell you what I would never do when it comes to a specific type of gig. I would never do the National Anthem. That is just like... It's a high risk, low reward situation. Some people aren't cut out for it, Tyler. He's like, and I'll tell you what,
Starting point is 00:17:54 I would never do the Star Spangled Banner either. I would put those in a similar category. I wouldn't, yeah. I mean, I praised God back in the day, but I also praised Jesus. And then every now and i praise god back in the day and i also praised you know but i but i also praise jesus so and then every now and then i toss in the woman um so and i feel like trey was just like oh yeah yeah yeah and i was like oh i gotta say something it's yeah because if not then people are going to think that you're i don't know like i was like this guy has won grammys and i'm about
Starting point is 00:18:22 to correct him on something musically that was the only part i got nervous i was like, this guy has won Grammys, and I'm about to correct him on something musically? That was the only part I got nervous. I was like, I would just put them in very similar categories. Do you know that those are the same song? That's the same song. That's just like our national anthem is called. Every country has a song. Maybe he's talking like, I wouldn't do O Canada. I wouldn't do, you know.
Starting point is 00:18:39 The Romanian one's tough. Right. The French one about, you know, probably talk about Napoleonoleon boer part in there i don't know how to speak french not my vibe so i'm not gonna do a national anthem of any sorts or the star spangled banner yeah what did he say to that he was just like oh my bad yeah then we were kind of laughing and we were kind of just goofing like yeah you email him back like i won't do the national anthem but i'll tell you what i'll do the star spangled banner you know
Starting point is 00:19:02 what do you have anybody yes slated for that seventh you what, I'll do the star spangled banner. You know what? Do you have anybody? Yes. Slated for that seventh inning stretch yet. I'll do the star spangled banner during that, uh, that maybe, maybe it's like the national anthem is the very like cut and dry music, like, you know, straight down the middle. Oh, say and star spangled banner to him is like your Chris Stapleton. You know, you're a little more artistic with it. Oh, say, can you see? By the dawn's early light. Macy Gray version. What so proudly we hailed at the... No, I'm going to stop. White soul How lay we how at earth No, I'm gonna stop there.
Starting point is 00:19:52 That's the story So maybe that's what Yeah, maybe that's where he gets confused. I think he was confused as we end up learning. I think he thought America the Beautiful
Starting point is 00:19:58 was maybe He was just grouping all the patriotic songs as like the same one. He's like, I'm not gonna do any of those songs. Which is he some
Starting point is 00:20:08 kind of neo-Nazi? Like what kind of performer doesn't want to sing any patriotic songs? I asked him about it offline. Yeah, did you? I was like, yeah, I bet you want to give a lot more money to Ukraine, don't you? Right. And that he just, we're going to keep those interests private. I'm not really at liberty to speak up to your imagination, guys. If
Starting point is 00:20:24 you're going to support Florida Drone again or not. I think they broke up. He's doing his own thing now. I'm not really a liberty to speak up to your imagination guys. If you're going to support Florida line again or not, I think they broke up. He's not. He's doing his own thing now. So I know I'm I'm a huge Tyler Hubbard. Yeah, I'm a big, yeah, big fan of yeah, no longer FG. I'm a BM fan now. So yeah, so we would straight from there to
Starting point is 00:20:39 Amy Brown, which she had made us some cookies and I'll tell you what, Brad, they weren't up to the standards of some good ranger's chicken. No? No. Okay. They were first of all, I think they were sourced outside the United States.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Gross. So that wasn't good for me. That was not a very star-spangled banner of her. And also, yeah, it just wasn't inflation proof. I'll tell you that gross it wasn't uh uh hey good ranchers is here yeehaw yeehaw back with it they've got kind of a fun little thing going on yes now uh they got a few of i mean so uh hey timon what season is it right now? Fall. Good job, bud. And with fall comes all things spooky. Spooky, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:31 You know what's spooky is not knowing where your meat comes from, Jacob. Lab-grown meat is currently growing more and more popular, and we don't even know how it will be labeled to differentiate from real meat. What? Posh. Gross. What? No,. Gross. What? No, foreign meat
Starting point is 00:21:46 can wear a costume and dress up as American meat due to the COOL law being repealed. Whatever. You guys understand. It's bad. All right?

Starting point is 00:23:35 I'm going to email him right after this and say, can I please have some pumpkin spice bacon? Send that my way. Yeah. Timon needs it. So anyway, how much, how much pumpkin spice bacon could Zach throw down? Time has got a buddy, Zach.
Starting point is 00:23:47 I mean, he's on the pickleball video with Jake. So fun. And he's just kind of a unit. Like the guy's just like, he's not a, like a big, like overly overweight guy.
Starting point is 00:23:55 He's just like a, that guy throws down food. I bet though. Yeah. Is that true? I think so. I mean, do you think he could throw down a couple of pounds of the old pumpkin spice
Starting point is 00:24:03 bacon from good ranchers? PSB probably. So mean, do you think he could throw down a couple of pounds of the old pumpkin spice bacon from good ranchers? PSB probably. So anyway, Amy Brown, sweet woman went over to her house and, uh, she was running late. And the reason she was running late is because she just came from Dolly Parton's house. What? Wow. That I think, I think I like Dolly Parton. I think some people are like, she's like the Taylor Swift of that generation.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Yeah. You know what I mean? Like some people are like Dolly Parton is it. So, and I, she's like the Taylor Swift of that generation. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like some people are like Dolly Parton is it. So, and I think that's probably true, but I don't know. It was a long time ago. What was she doing over there? Doing an interview. Wow. She went straight from interviewing Dolly Parton to then getting interviewed by me and Trey.
Starting point is 00:24:38 But it was fun. She was great. We had a really good time with her. She was a blast. And is she from Nashville originally? She's an Austin girl? I don't know. Okay. Don't remember. Great. We had a really good time with her. She was a blast. Is she from Nashville originally? Let's think. She's an Austin girl? I don't know. Okay. Don't remember. Great.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Six days ago. So many celebrities, you know. Nate, we go straight from there to Shea Mooney's house from Dan and Shea. Yeah. This guy's the man. They're still together? Yes. Okay, good.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Yeah, yeah. Dan and Shea are still together. Yeah, dude. He's great. He has so much personality. Big, good. Yeah, yeah. Dan DeShay still together. Yeah, dude, he's great. He has so much personality. Big talker. Just like easy to do a podcast with. Cool outfit.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Cool outfit. Wait, why do you ask? Just title hallowed. Oh. You know, he was wearing a crew neck sweatshirt that was alluded to something from the Golden Girls, which I am not familiar with that show okay like i think the golden girls all live in the same like community or something
Starting point is 00:25:30 so he was wearing like merch from like the sunny side acres or wherever the golden girls oh yeah yeah yeah something acres yeah yeah okay so yeah that's what he's wearing all right so no and so no yeah it wasn't cool no No, I'm just kidding. But no, he was great. I mean, first of all, it was nice to have us over to his giant, giant house. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Good dogs, though. I was going nuts playing with these dogs. And, you know, we're playing with them. I'm like, all right, I should probably go in now. I'm the last one inside. I go in. Like, hey, it's going to be a while before we get the podcast set up.
Starting point is 00:26:03 I go back outside. I go back and check out those dogs some more. Shay, hey, nice to going to be well before we get the podcast set up. I go back outside. I go back and check out those dogs. Shay. Hey, nice to have us over. Which one's which one do you say is the same Bernard? Which one's windy? Which one's stormy? Yeah, whatever.
Starting point is 00:26:13 That's fun. So this one, I'll play with the dogs in the yard for a little bit. And multiple people drove by and honked at me in the yard. And so I just kind of gave him a wave. I don't know what they think is going on. If they think I don't know who they think I am, but nice folks. Yeah. And yeah, Shay's the yard. And so I just kind of gave him a wave. I was like, I don't know what they think is going on. If they think, I don't know who they think I am, but nice folks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:27 And yeah, Shay's the man. And what was kind of cool is we heard from multiple people throughout our time in Nashville. Like, Oh wow. You're with Shay. Like Amy Brown.
Starting point is 00:26:34 She has interviewed every country music artist ever. Yeah. Knows Nashville really well. And she was like, she was telling us that it's pretty well known amongst all like musicians that the two best singers in Nashville are Carrie Underwood and Shea Mooney. Wow, really? Yeah, I guess.
Starting point is 00:26:50 She was like, yeah, they've never missed a note. No one's ever heard them sing an incorrect note in all their years. That's interesting. Yeah, I didn't know that. And then that was validated and verified by a couple of people we talked to. And it's not even like we were asking them. It was just like, oh, yeah, we're with Shea Mooney today. Wow, you're with Shea.
Starting point is 00:27:03 He's got the best voice in Nashville. That guy can sing, really. Everyone just said that. Interesting. And so I'm kind of we're with Shea Mooney today. Wow. You're with Shea. He's got the best voice in Nashville. Like everyone just like said that. Interesting. And so I've kind of got a big Shea Mooney kick right now. Cool. Like just Google it or like YouTubing like Shea Mooney, like live, like hearing him like sing raw. Yeah. Dude, it's nice. Really? Yeah. You can really build. I had no idea just because I think, I don't know if, if like his, the talent that he has is really showcased in their songs. Yeah. That kind of kills me sometimes when you realize later on, like, that's how I felt.
Starting point is 00:27:28 I mean, I always loved John Mayer, but like for the longest time I was like, yeah, he's pretty good. He's kind of poppy. And like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:27:35 kind of like this, your body is a wonderland kind of like just girl poppy kind of like stuff like teeny bopper stuff. Yeah. And then you realize later he might be the greatest guitar player of our generation and we didn't even know it. You know? uh, I don't know any songs by Dan and Shay. I don't think except for 10,000 hours. I know you don't love that one. And I thought that song was so vanilla. And so, yeah, I should check out some more things from him. Yeah. Um, sometimes it's
Starting point is 00:27:58 fun to listen to artists cover songs cause then they can like hit ranges and do things, you know, that maybe they're not writing themselves or something like that. From what I've seen in my last six days of research, being a big shame, a new fan, there are, it seems like if he's performing live, he goes nuts and he really belts it. So yeah, go find some like cool videos of him, like saying live. Okay. It's awesome. So yeah, she's the man. Isn't it fun? Sorry for interrupting again. Isn't it fun though, when you meet somebody and then like you become a more of a fan of them as a person. So therefore you appreciate their like skills as a performer more. Yeah. Like I wasn't following Dana Che on Spotify. I wasn't
Starting point is 00:28:33 following them on Instagram. I was like, Oh yeah. Yeah. They have a song. Just be brothers in that. That's how I felt about Steven Kersh chap. I was always like, that guy is a cheesy little man. And then you meet him and you're like, that guy can play guitar really well. Cool. And that guy's, yeah, like he was pretty cool back in his day. He's just a goofball now. Yeah. But he's still really talented, like whatever. Like, and so now I'm like, I'm a legitimate Stephen Curry Chapman fan. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:54 And it's just fun to feel like I was like, oh yeah, I know him more as a friend even now than I do as a musician. Sure. But I'm still like a fan of both. Yeah. They're coming to Kansas City like in April. Okay. Performing at the T-Mobile Center. Gotta go. I can't wait. Yeah. That's awesome. Want to Kansas city like in April. Okay. Performing at the T-Mobile center.
Starting point is 00:29:05 I can't wait. Yeah. That's awesome. Want to go really bad. Fun. Uh, so yeah, he was great.
Starting point is 00:29:09 And, his wife was awesome. It was crazy. He's kind of giving us a tour of the house, uh, kind of just like while we're waiting for the podcast to get set up. And he's like this room, like it is a mess right now.
Starting point is 00:29:18 And it really was a mess. It was just like, they have not done anything with it. Just kind of like a, just throw crap in this room. He's like, we might turn it into like a studio or something. But amongst like the crap in there, there was like a billboard music awards. Like I saw those on like some of the shelves on the floor. I see
Starting point is 00:29:34 there's this big plaque and it says 10,000 hours, quadruple platinum. And it's just like on the ground. And yeah, we're just seeing all these awards. It's like, wow, that's kind of crazy. Yeah. Just like so, so many awards that it's like, yeah, we're just seeing all these awards. It's like, wow, that's kind of crazy. Yeah. Just like, so, so many awards. It's like, yeah. I mean, eventually they just kind of pile up,
Starting point is 00:29:49 you know? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm sure we'll hang them up eventually, but it's just like, yeah, it's just one more award.
Starting point is 00:29:54 We did it. Wow. That's cool. Um, and then the rest of that day, we went pretty much straight from Shay Mooney's house to, uh, I have several friends in Nashville,
Starting point is 00:30:03 but one of them I for sure wanted to see was my friend, Sam Tootin. Oh, Tootin Bros. Tootin Brothers band. You can listen to them. Yep. And so it was kind of fun to go from a guy who has won Grammys
Starting point is 00:30:11 and has gone quadruple platinum and then straight to dinner with a guy who's like still working another job trying to make it in music. Like you're in the same city doing the same job and the same genre.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Yeah. But it's kind of both ends of the spectrum. And it was kind of fun. Yeah. Going back to back and just like hearing how Sam's doing and it's kind of both ends of the spectrum. It was kind of fun going back to back and just hearing how Sam's doing and what's going on in his life. Yeah, so he's got another job alongside of this.
Starting point is 00:30:32 Is it music related? No. Just completely making the ends meet. Yeah, but he's still grinding, still hustling, still putting out music, and I still follow him. I see it on release radar when they come out. So yeah, I need to listen.
Starting point is 00:30:47 I don't listen to music as much as I should, but I've listened to them and I really enjoy them. They're nice. So nice country boys. And yeah, I mean, I work so much out of my own house now that I barely listen to podcasts, let alone music. Right. It's tough.
Starting point is 00:30:58 I know. It's all right. We'll get there. Cool. Well, okay. And then do you want to talk about the next day or do you want to go about the next day or do you want to go back and forth? Let's, let's, uh, popcorn read here. Popcorn. Um, great. Well,
Starting point is 00:31:09 I'll talk about some of my trip. I mean, speaking of Dolly Parton, I, what a great transition. I experienced some Dolly Parton magic, uh, in the sense of Branson, Missouri this past week. Um, yeah, we went on a vacation. It was the first time we had been, I think on a vacation as a family in our life. Like maybe, yeah, I can't think of a specific time where it's been like, even like with Hattie or with boat, like we take trips plenty cause we go down to Texas or we've been on a vacation with, uh, Catherine's family. But this was like the first, like Ellis family trip that was not going to see somebody else. It was like, we are going by ourselves to stay your own vacation. Yeah. Um, and I think Catherine was like decently,
Starting point is 00:31:51 I don't know if she was anxious or like nervous, but like she had some like weight, like she felt some burden of like, gosh, I got to make sure we have everything. I got to make sure we have enough food packed for this thing. Oh, so not like physical weight. She hadn't like gained weight. Oh, okay. I'm not going to say that, Kath, because I think you're beautiful. No. Well, that too. She has had a lot of chips and queso lately. No. Yeah. No, but we, so we stay at these wagons and I can get to that soon enough. Well, I'll talk about it now. We stay at these like glamping wagons. Looked awesome. Yeah, our friends Cody and Courtney Terrell,
Starting point is 00:32:32 Courtney's parents own this ranch in Branson called Sycamore Creek, and the wagons, they had made six wagons, like six old covered wagons, and they're called Conestoga wagons. They're like these glamping awesome things. They have bunk beds, regular bed, you know, a little dining table, bathroom. And the kids thought it was the coolest thing in the world. Why would you not?
Starting point is 00:32:53 It truly was awesome. It looks sweet. They reached out to us and they're like, would you want to come check, like stay here? And I'm like, yes. I don't know why we wouldn't, especially like with, you know, classic homeschool time. And it was like, we brought like a few different books. We brought like a little house in the Prairie version of like a little house in the big woods book. We brought a book that was like, if you lived back, you know, in a covered wagon, like that book. And so that was like our reading, you know, as we were going to bed, we'd read these, these different books. Um, and yeah,
Starting point is 00:33:21 Bo just couldn't get enough of the wagons. We, we got to Branson a little bit later than anticipated. Cause we were going to our first night. We were going to Dixie Stampede, sorry, Dolly Parton Stampede. Thank you. Yeah. You're not supposed to say Dixie anymore,
Starting point is 00:33:35 apparently. And so we were planning on like dropping our stuff off, getting situated the wagon and then going to Dixie Stampede, Dolly Parton Stampede. Thank you. Didn't get there in time. So just went straight to Dixie Stampede, Dolly Parton Stampede. Thank you. But didn't get there in time. So just went straight to Dixie Stampede, Dolly Parton Stampede. And we get there. And I mean, like we were expecting like out of all of the people,
Starting point is 00:33:53 Bo is going to be the most excited about Dolly Parton Stampede. There's actual horses. So many horses, like 40 horses. I mean, there's so many horses just walking in. Yes. And it smells like dirt. We walked in and Catherine goes, you know that smell that Tyman was talking about with horses? This is
Starting point is 00:34:07 what horses smell like. And I was like, that should not have been his first pick. It smelled fine. It's just manure. But I mean, all Bo said for the first like 10 minutes that we were there was like, I want to go to the wagons. Why aren't we at the wagons? I thought
Starting point is 00:34:23 we were going to the wagons. And he hadn't even seen it yet. He didn't even know how cool it was yet. No. Yeah. He had seen pictures of it. And so I think he had anticipations, but, um, anyway, Dixie Stampede, never been before. Have you ever heard of this time? You've never been ever? No, I had, I've been like nine times. Seriously. So you like know the script probably by now. I had expectations in my mind and they were nothing like what I was expecting. Like I was expecting like a very like, um, oh, like, like I heard Dixie Stampede is like this, like rodeo kind of show where they give you food and you're on two different sides of the room and one side's the North, one side's the South and you root for your
Starting point is 00:35:00 side. And for whatever reason, I was imagining like a very like rundown or just like metal bleacher, like rodeo arena where the, the horses and every, like the riders are way far away. Like you could barely, like not barely see them, but like kind of down sunken in. You're exactly what I'm picturing. Really? I haven't been, you're imagining more of a typical like horse track. Yes. I think, I think, yeah yeah, like or like a rodeo like and it was not that at all. I mean you are right there. We literally were on the front
Starting point is 00:35:30 row. I mean we had we were right there in the action and I don't know how we got front row seats, but we were blessed with front row seats of it. It was awesome. So I mean they come out and they're doing like the show itself is very cheesy. You know, it's very Branson dude. What's the,
Starting point is 00:35:45 the, the, the comic relief, the guy in the orange sparky or something. No, don't say it. Stop, stop saying things or I'll figure it out.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Gosh, dang it. Now I can't think of it. Cause I'm thinking it's like spark plug or something like Skeeter Skeeter. Yeah. We talked about spark plugs. Close.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Well, yeah, yeah. We talked about Skeeter a long time ago on the podcast. Cause you're like, this guy is the like least funny guy ever. I'm here to. We talked about Skeeter a long time ago on the podcast because you're like, this guy is the least funny guy ever. I'm here to tell you, kids love Skeeter. Yeah, I'm sure they do.
Starting point is 00:36:11 He's brutal, though. It was great, dude. Like Skeeter, I mean, everything about it was so Branson. Like patriotic, amazing talent, but at the same time, it's so cheesy that it's almost hard to appreciate the amazing talent. Do they still have Dolly Parton come out on the, like the led screen at the end and like sing like God bless America? I don't think she, her picture was not on there. Oh really? It used to be just like a, like an animated, like picture of her singing,
Starting point is 00:36:37 like God bless America at the end of it. Um, so yeah, I mean they give you like a full course, like four course meal timing. It's awesome. No utensils. Yeah, they gave us utensils. Apparently that was like a new thing. Branson's gone woke. COVID, you know.
Starting point is 00:36:55 But I'll tell you right now, if I was holding Rosie, because they're like, she's under three years old, so she doesn't need her own seat. Just put her on your lap. And so we didn't use utensils. We just like kind of, I was tearing apart the chicken and just giving it to her. Oh, that meal is so good.
Starting point is 00:37:10 That meal is so good. Oh, it was everything about it. The apple turnover at the end. Apple turnover was nuts. You think you're stuffed. You're like, I have no more room left, but then you find some like dessert. How do you couldn't like, how do you thought it was just a, like a butter roll kind of thing.
Starting point is 00:37:24 And then all of a sudden there was apple inside. She's like, this is like a Danish. I was like, yeah, it's incredible. Yeah, but you're in America now. That's right. Welcome to America. They love, so Tymon throughout the night, they just cue you
Starting point is 00:37:39 up like, let's hear it now, North! Stampede! Let's hear it, South! Yeah! And it now north stampede let's hear it south yeah and then and now everybody stampede and then you just put down your feet just and by the end of the night patty and bo were getting so into the stampede it was awesome um you know where i've seen you're really into the stampede when i've gone before is my friend ty gatewood he would just imagine dude i just go way too far. Like, right. It is such a family friendly atmosphere. Just take a shirt off and just waving it around.
Starting point is 00:38:11 Let me hear you stampede. He's like running up and down the aisle. I mean, he had the north fired up, but I was like, you're going to get kicked out of here, dude. This is absurd. That's amazing, dude. Yeah, it was. I mean, some of the tricks that they did, like they had like one segment where they just had some people come out and do like some crazy writers. Oh, unbelievable. It was like, like, I didn't feel like they were getting the recognition they deserve. So I was like overly like vocal. I wasn't tight gatewording, but I was just like, wow. Like, like right as they were like riding past me i would make sure i was on the front row i'd be like good job good job good job that's amazing oh what this is crazy you know like all these like they had a rider that would like bounce back and forth yes like jumping basically like
Starting point is 00:38:57 hurtling as the horse is going around the track i feel like the first like trick rider the night too you're not expecting it so you legitimately think they fell off the horse. Yes. I'm like, Oh, she's caught by her shoe. No, I think she's doing it on purpose.
Starting point is 00:39:08 There were plenty of times where I was like, she's going to, she's going to crack her head open right now. Yeah. Like it was dangerous. It was exciting. Yeah. Everything about it was the perfect start to a Branson vacation.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Probably like four years ago, this girl started DM me on Instagram and yeah. Yeah. So anyway, Branson was cool. Um, ago this girl started dming me on instagram and nice yeah yeah so anyway branson was cool um but she was a like professional like trick writer and i never met anyone you know so it's like yeah i'll chat that's fun yeah never really hung out and got to see your trick ride but it was fun few dms yeah i bet it's like this is cool to like think that you do that that's crazy ever been to branson yeah i'm sure that's like, that's gotta be a top spot. And then of
Starting point is 00:39:49 course my financial business side of me is like, how much are these people getting paid? I bet they're not getting paid enough for this amazing work that they're doing. Unfortunately, there's so many jobs like that. Like you get so good at it, but there's only 12 people in the world who are being hired to do it or something. Yeah. I, anyway, so it was great. Um, I'm trying to think like, had he got a little bit spooked, there was like, it was like near the beginning. There's like a part with native Americans and they like shoot off like a little firework spark kind of thing and do all this stuff. And how you start crying into her lap. And I was like, Oh, if there's a bunch of fire for the right,
Starting point is 00:40:19 cause, cause there's like a big, like bursts of fire a few times and front row. That's pretty hot. You feel, yeah, you feel the heat from it. And I'm like, if there's fire in every single one of these things, how he's going to be doing that the entire night. And I'm not going to be patient. Like, yeah, I get first. It's like, it's okay. I'm sure it's fine.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Luckily, it wasn't much the rest of the night, but they still do the magic trick with the three girls in the barrel. How do they do that? Yes. At first, I was like, like Catherine was like, well, how'd they do that? I was like,, I was like, like, Catherine was like, whoa, how'd they do that? I was like, Catherine, it's two different girls. And then by the interval, I was like, I have no idea how they're
Starting point is 00:40:51 doing this. Yeah, I think it's three girls who all look alike. Okay. And then that, like, below the barrel is like deeper than you think. So they're just like laying down in there. Really? Yeah. But they kind of like spin the barrel around. They show that the barrel's empty. Yeah, yeah. They go, like, below it. Close it up. Oh, okay. Yeah they kind of like spin the barrel around. They show that the barrel's empty. Yeah, yeah. They go like below it.
Starting point is 00:41:06 Close it up. Oh, okay. Yeah, there's like three different wagons. Skeeter's doing it. Skeeter, I mean. Skeeter. Oh, I will say. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:41:14 Skeeter was a fun guy. But yeah, there's just like three different wagons, and they move all around. They're like, well, Skeeter, surely we know she's in this one. Oh, let's see about that. Now, should we, Abby? Opens up the thing and rolls it around. There's nothing in there.
Starting point is 00:41:29 They make like a little bet or something, don't they? Yeah. Yeah. Like 20. I'll give my $20 to you right now. Says she's in that barrel right there then. Now, Skeeter, that's the easiest $20 I've ever made in my entire life. It's right there.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Everyone knows it. Like everyone's talking like they're in like the Andy Griffith show. And they're like not one of the well-educated ones in the Andy Griffith show. It's right there. Everyone knows it. Everyone's talking like they're in the Andy Griffith show, and they're like, not one of the well-educated ones in the Andy Griffith show. It was awesome. It was everything. I wanted it to be in way more. That's why I kept going back. It's a great show. It's got to be a top five Branson show. 100%.
Starting point is 00:41:56 And then they also have crowd participation, so they'll bring all these different people out. I've got to do it. Really? I was like, how do I get? I mean, we were on the front row. Surely they would have. Maybe we didn't get there early enough.
Starting point is 00:42:08 Classic Ellis family. But there was one time. I mean, these were two local or at least like touristy Branson people, two older men. And they're like, all right. This was like, you couldn't script this. Like Skeeter started laughing pretty hard at this. He's like, all right.
Starting point is 00:42:24 Now, what's your name, sir? He's like, Jerry. He's like, all right, now what's your name, sir? He's like, Jerry. He's like, all right, what's your name? Terry. It was like the most two like Branson, like touristy names of all time. Jerry and Terry going to Branson for the weekend. And they did the horseshoes with the toilet seats.
Starting point is 00:42:40 Oh, it was a great time. Me and my sister got to do that one time. No, actually I think I got to one time. The horseshoes? The water one. The water fill up one. Oh, yeah. They do that one still. And there was a girl that she was probably like 10. She started crying. She couldn't do it.
Starting point is 00:42:57 It was kind of traumatic. I felt bad for her. She's going to remember that the rest of her life. The last time, I guess two times ago that Rachel and I were in Branson, we went to that magic show with josh and maggie mayor and they i don't know if we talked about this on the podcast but they brought a kid up on the stage and he was like obviously really quiet and wasn't really participating and then they kind of just like made a joke about it and everyone's just laughing this little boy on stage yeah rachel and i both i feel like the longer time i spend with like a therapist i'm like seeing it through those eyes
Starting point is 00:43:24 like this is a traumatic experience for this little boy. Right. He is on stage. Thousands of people are laughing at him. I'm always thinking that about, that's why I was always wanting to, like, if I would have been in that situation, I would have been like, it's okay. You're doing good. Do it.
Starting point is 00:43:35 You're doing good, buddy. No, you can be quiet if you want to. Yeah. You know, like after every single, every time they're like, all right, let's give it up for Jerry and Terry. Like two people would clap. I was one of them. You know what I mean? I'd be like, yeah right, let's give it up for Jerry and Terry. Like two people would clap. I was one of them. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:43:46 I'd be like, yeah, guys, good job. I will fill the void. 100%. Especially when it's like a performance and you're like,
Starting point is 00:43:52 I feel. You need something. Yeah, you need crowd participation. So I'm sure I've talked about this before on the podcast, but I remember going with some CannaCuck people
Starting point is 00:44:00 to the Stampede back in the day and my friend Jonah, who now lives in Kid City, Jonah Hope, he got selected to go down there and I was like dude make it memorable i said something like that to him and he did and i think this might have been when my sister was down there with him but it's just this relay race where you got to fill up a bucket of water and then you got to run it over and put it in their bucket and they got to run over and it's coming down to the wire they've
Starting point is 00:44:19 done a few laps so if you lapse oh who's it got be north first out of our first and jonah gets a full bucket of water and then fake trips and just just throws the water dude it was so funny and you can imagine us watching it like oh he said he's good he's not doing anything yeah right and then the last one just falls down and the whole kind of oh it was so funny. I love that. That'd be so fun to go to, yeah, with 40 of your friends. Yes. That are all like CannaCuck like-minded, goofy, excitable people. Make the most of this. Oh, my gosh. We should have done that for Uncle Week.
Starting point is 00:44:56 That would have been such a blast. It would have been too raucous probably. Stampede's great. Yeah. The very last thing I'll say about stampede, uh, dog part of stampede is that, you know, Rosie, she's,
Starting point is 00:45:09 she's a great baby. And she honestly, for, for a stampede and then also dolly part stampede and also this other thing that next night we'll talk about later. But, um, she doesn't get like fussy.
Starting point is 00:45:19 She just gets loud, dude. Like she just like wants to make noise and scream. And luckily at the dolly part stampede, it just like wants to make noise and scream. And luckily at the Dolly Parton stampede, it was somewhat okay to make noise, but eventually it was like, you're getting restless. You're just wanting to bounce up and down and do stuff. So I like picked her up and like took her out in the aisle and was just walking around with her. And it was for the finale, you know? And so the finale is like all these people on horses, like with American flags,
Starting point is 00:45:42 riding all around, doing like this choreographed horse, uh, number two, Dolly Parton's America, the beautiful, I think something like that. And Rosie is just delirious at this point. I mean, it's like seven 45 and she's literally just head back laughing, dying. So it's like, Oh man. And it was like, it was like, she was like, yeah, inebriated. Like it was like, she's my patriotism, right? It was amazing and it was like it was like she was like yeah inebriated like it was like she's my patriotism right it was amazing it was like that was like the highlight of my night was just watching her be so happy in brains and with all these american flags going around and everything so um yeah overall it was awesome we got to pet the horses afterwards oh you know they were right on the side they're like you can pet it if you want and i was like okay so anyway great time that was the first night of brains i got plenty more yeah that's great
Starting point is 00:46:31 tywin i want to hear an update from your weekend or your week yep but first yep i'm wearing a cozy earth wow cozy earth shirt cozy shirt cozy earth shirt uh it didn't even know that we uh owed them an ad today. I was just wearing it because I like it. So does that tell you anything? Yes. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:46:49 It does. Yes. They have got it all. Dude, just got some new towels from Cozy Earth in the mail. Wow, wow, wee, wow. I like you. I like. Yeah, bath towels, hand towels.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Honestly, I don't even want to give you an idea of what you could use the towels for. Just buy the towels. Use them for what you want. Dish towels. Okay. Welcome, Matt. A towel could be used as that. Well, sometimes like your kids are playing out in the sprinkler.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Hey, come on inside. You need to dry off before you come inside, though. Put some cozy art towels on your feet, on your bodies. That could happen. Obviously, the bed sheets are a huge thing that we really love. The viscose from bamboo. There's nothing like it. It just feels different.
Starting point is 00:47:35 Yeah. And yeah, recently, they've been throwing some clothing our way. Dude, the jogs. Dude, can't wait for me a Sunday afternoon with some of those jogs. Yeah. It just feels different than their clothing. I really had that thought last night. It's like 11 PM.
Starting point is 00:47:49 I'm doing laundry. Russell Crowe's up top, you know, fighting people and gladiator tigers. And I'm thinking like this, just like I'm doing laundry with all these other hoodies and the cozy earth one just feels different. It just feels so much higher quality. Yes. It's nice. It is.

Starting point is 00:48:43 over time i don't know i can't imagine first all, they have a 10 year warranty. How many people, all their products have a, how many shirts do you know that are like, uh, I got this like for 10 years. No problem. Do the girl math on that. Yeah. That's definitely a free divide that by 10. Yeah. Divide your 60, 65% divided by 10. I mean, it's, it's, it's like less than a cent per day probably. Yeah. Who has a penny per day that you can find on the ground? Save them up now. In 10 years, you can buy Cozy Earth. Or you can just buy it for it now.
Starting point is 00:49:12 I do. Good. I see that hand. GRKC, 35% off Cozy Earth. Seriously, so good. Check them out. Luxury goodies. 10-year warranty?

I had just a good weekend. It was fun.
Starting point is 00:51:46 Good. Okay, so Brant's... No, go ahead, Tom. I'm sorry. But one thing I thought of, so Sunday afternoon, I played some pickleball with my siblings. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Which is, like, unique because it's, like, my... So my young brother, Jesse, he's good at pickleball. It's, like, it's fun. We're, like, pretty evenly matched. It's so fun to have someone, like... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Yeah. Just, like, it's... To push you a little bit. It's so fun to have someone push you a little bit. But also, I win sometimes. I aspire to have somebody that's as evenly matched as me someday. What kind of paddles are we using, Tymon? What kind of brands? Might have been Walmart or Target. Just not good. We'll work on that. We'll get you some Vulcans.
Starting point is 00:52:31 But yeah, I don't know um saturday morning we did another like parade that green leaf was like in okay that was what did you guys go that one yeah um but it was only six people like for the in the parade thing like there were a lot of like other people like walking beside okay the choir aspect like not a lot of people showed up so you had to sing pretty loud yeah yeah how long how long was the parade uh it was shorter than i mean it was like shorter than what was the last one the old settlers old sellers yeah it was like a lot shorter it's a spring hill parade okay so like a lot more like small but so i'm just wondering like what that's like because you're singing pretty non-stop or yeah just like trying to have as little dead space as possible wow you're yeah were you singing for an hour straight uh probably more like 45 minutes that's a long time it's fun
Starting point is 00:53:11 it's like yeah you're you don't get tired of it you're just like with your friends right it was fun what kind of are you singing what kind of songs uh what did we sing it was like two back it was from now on from the greatest showman oh okay, okay. Um, and then Dan and Shay or, um, what's the other one? Tequila. Come taste the joy of the Lord. Ah,
Starting point is 00:53:30 okay. Different kind of taste. Yeah. Upbeat him. So yeah, cool. Upbeat him. Speaking of upbeat hymns,
Starting point is 00:53:36 song of the week, uh, amazing grace for us, Frank. Yeah. Heard that yet. Um, I don't think I've listened to the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:53:42 I've, I've seen it on Instagram 15 times though. Yeah. Fun little vibe to it. Cool. Maybe the end fun cool hey hey maybe we'll see jake all right no that's fun i understand i'm adding my playlist right now so it'll play sometime okay i like to do that with like anyone recommends a song i'll just add it to my playlist yep and then it will just like shuffle sometime you want to to go ahead and give the ghosties a little assignment and just comment below some songs that time we can add to his playlist. Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:54:10 Hello. Just share it. That's fun. I followed up with time and made him a Taylor Swift pop playlist to get started on last week and I made it on like Friday, but I sent it to him at 820 Eastern Sunday night at kickoff is exactly when I texted it to Simon
Starting point is 00:54:25 and just kind of get him in the right mindset. So have you been able to listen to it much? A little bit, yeah. It was, let's see, Riding Home from Greenleaf Monday night. Okay. It was like, they're great driving songs. Okay, good to know.
Starting point is 00:54:37 He's gonna, next parade, come taste the joy of the Lord and, you know, get away, come. Yeah. Sweet. I'm not going to talk about Taylor Swift a lot, but it is part of this story that I want to tell. So yesterday, Isaac and I meet up, which is kind of fun.
Starting point is 00:54:55 Isaac and I's first ever like kind of writing session together. Like normal for Friday Pickleball, we kind of do it separately because we all have different things going on. But the goal tonight is we're going to try to shoot seven videos. Wow, right? Really just crank out a ton of like weeks worth of content. And so I was like, let's, let's write a ton. So I met up with Isaac at Chick-fil-A yesterday. And the first kind of funny thing that happened is a guy, a worker from Chick-fil-A walks by. And he's like, What? What do you what do you have on your shirt and i was like uh i had
Starting point is 00:55:26 a roback on i was like oh it's i'm like showed him the logo i'm like oh it's uh it's roback yeah grkc20 yeah and he was like no it's uh the the smell man it's crazy and uh i'm like wow can that really be like my detergent and i'm like he's like what cologne you're wearing i'm like i'm not wearing any cologne he's like he's kind of looking around he's like maybe it's that guy sitting next to you so then he walks over and just starts sniffing this guy oh not isaac yeah not isaac like just another guy saying that he's like maybe it's that guy what no no comes back to me he starts maybe it's your socks take off your shoes bend over yeah right maybe it's the that you he's just walking around it's just sniffing loudly and this guy sitting next to us was it was just like what in the world is going up like i don't know yeah so just sniffing
Starting point is 00:56:17 up a storm are you sure it wasn't you like i think in the end it it probably was yeah the diva detergent but i don't know it's like what i was wearing it was not something that was washed recently like this wasn't like a potent yeah like diva smell so it doesn't matter i was gonna be surprised if he smelled it that quickly isaac was like i never smelled it when he uh walked in basically then this guy he's like i don't know and he goes to the bathroom comes out of the bathroom and's like, it was a guy in there. What? This guy is going to the ends of the earth to find this. He's like under the stall.
Starting point is 00:56:51 Like, hey, just real quick, just slide your shorts over here. They're already halfway off anyway. What in the world? Can you put your wrist under the stall or through the door or something? Maybe clone on your wrist? Yeah, he's just just full bloodhound. Yeah. Right.
Starting point is 00:57:07 And there was a little bit of a language barrier. So I don't know if I've got all like this, right. Okay. But from what I mean, sniffing is universal. I know you sniffed. Sniffing is,
Starting point is 00:57:15 they've always said like math and sniffing is universal language. Yeah. Um, yeah. Sniffing and math. That's what they say. You know, money talks, but not as universally as sniffing and math.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Yeah, everyone knows if you're sniffing what you're doing. So that has to do with Taylor Swift? Well, just a way. So while we were there, that was kind of the main thing. It was like that was kind of interesting. But we were writing some videos, and Isaac first made the point. He was like, I wonder if there's like a Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey joke we should try and make on one of these videos while it's timely and i was like yeah that's a
Starting point is 00:57:48 good idea we should i think of one we couldn't think of like one specific joke to put anywhere so then i was just like what if we just do like its own video like let's just film it tomorrow night and it's posted by friday while it's still really relevant and so let's do like if taylor swift um played pickleball that seems actually pretty good like let's do like if Taylor Swift played pickleball. That seems actually pretty good. Like let's just try it, whatever. And so we're writing stuff, pretty easy. But then I texted Janelle Vignelle. So this is me just giving public, just shout out.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Sure. Great person to text. Sure. She had just idea after idea. She wrote like half the video. Love it. When the video comes out, or it's probably already out now, but whatever, Janelle helped out.
Starting point is 00:58:23 Give me a line. One really clever thing she thought of, which I don't know if we'll end up doing this. I don't know if it will translate or not, but she was like, she's like one kind of fun thing you could do is start off having Taylor talking a Southern accent and it kind of slowly goes away as the video goes on.
Starting point is 00:58:36 Oh, that's good. I was like, that's pretty clever. I don't know if people will get it, but that might be worth doing. Yeah, that's pretty funny. Make it subtle enough where, yeah, that's fun. Yeah, just like, kind of
Starting point is 00:58:45 like you are with like stages of pickleball where it's like stages of taylor swift playing pickleball like yeah yeah and by the end it's just all just yeah non-country like it's like oh this is so fun and then eventually you're like very serious about it are you ready for yeah so uh yeah shout out fun what else happened to Branson? Let's see. So yeah, second day there, or first full day, we went on a little morning walk, which was great because there's just a ton to look at and see there. And just the kids are so imaginative right now.
Starting point is 00:59:19 But it was like the three kids and me. So like Catherine was like, I'll stay back. You guys go on a walk. I was like, thanks. Oh, thanks. Oh, okay. So at one point, literally,
Starting point is 00:59:27 uh, Bo was on my shoulder, like, cause Bo got tired. He's like, I don't want to walk anymore. So Bo was on my shoulders and Rosie was in my arms and I was just like sweating,
Starting point is 00:59:36 like humidity of the morning. Uh, but it was really fun. Uh, Bo was, you know, fighting monsters the whole time. Um,
Starting point is 00:59:43 he was just, yeah. Um, but was just, yeah. Um, but then the, the highlight of the first day was we went and got to see queen Esther, uh, the play. Um,
Starting point is 00:59:53 and if you remember, yeah, Jake went there, whatever it was a month ago or something. Um, and went and saw that. And I had never been to sight and sound before. I had really not done anything Branson like this,
Starting point is 01:00:03 but like crazy, crazy dude. The set goes like behind. Have you been, I've been to sight and sound before i'd really not done anything branson like this but like crazy crazy dude the set goes like behind have you been i've been to moses oh time good i'm sure yeah there he is moses um yeah and and i think you had said like hey the the set you know stretches it like wraps around like i so i kind of had that expectation but like the curtains were down on the sides and so you don't see it at first. And then all of a sudden they bring the curtains up and it was insane. It's cool. I couldn't believe it. Uh, I mean, it was, it was unlike any play that I had ever seen before. Um, in the sense of like, it didn't, there, there were no like natural, like ends of scenes really it was
Starting point is 01:00:46 like kind of one continuous play well everything spins and revolves and that was insane too yeah yeah like that was insane yeah everything about it was just like this is wild like what i couldn't i another one where i had in my head like yeah, yeah, it's going to be like a big show, like high school auditorium, like a large high school auditorium is where we're going. This place was way bigger, like way crazier. I mean, easily 90% of the people there had white hair, you know? Yeah. I saw a good amount of like Mennonites when I went. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:20 Yeah. Interesting. Yeah. But I mean, we got tickets. Shout out Mariah. Mariah hooked us up with tickets. She's a ghosty came to a grande boo. She's awesome. You go backstage afterwards. Yeah. Yeah. Awesome. Looks really cool. And she got us awesome tickets that were like, not like, like they were like in front of, or right behind where like you walk in like a tunnel kind of thing. So there was nobody in front of us, which was awesome, except it was like probably 15, uh, seats in from both sides. And so good old Rosie starts,
Starting point is 01:01:51 starts having some fun. Like, yeah, just scream, like literally screaming in like a good, like fun scream. And I was like, I got to get her out of here. And they have these like crying rooms up upstairs, like on the top. I saw this on your story. Yeah, you did. Like, and so I, so first of all, there's no like natural ends of scenes. And so I was like, I just got to get up at some point and just walk out. And I think I stepped on somebody's foot, like just straight up stepped on an old woman's foot.
Starting point is 01:02:16 And I'm like, I'm so sorry. But went back there for the, like the rest of the first act. And Rosie was just, yeah, just a maniac. I don't know what's going on with her. That was interesting. She's so fun, though. She was not crying at all.
Starting point is 01:02:32 She just wanted to run around. And so literally just started running around in circles of this room. And not making any noise, really. I didn't tell her. I didn't provoke her to do this. She just starts running. She's running laps.
Starting point is 01:02:45 So many laps dude and then all of a sudden the show just stops like and then there's like this intercom like guys like we're sorry but there's been a delay we will it was like what is going on I guess this part
Starting point is 01:03:01 of was that God or I was like I was like maybe this is but I was like, I was like, maybe this is, but I was like, I don't think so. And then there was kind of some rumblings and some, you know, murmurs outside. So I text Mariah real quick and she's like the electronics, like the, the system that they use to raise and lower and do all the set stuff just randomly crashed. And it hasn't crashed in like over a year. It's the first time for Esther that's ever crashed. And so we had to wait for like 15 minutes while it got like rebooted and stuff because all their sets go up and down on this like computer. It's truly awesome, truly incredible. Um, but anyway, so we're kind of running a little bit behind act one gets over and Catherine and I are like, Hey, let's meet up and, uh, get some
Starting point is 01:03:43 of those vanilla smoked almonds. Yeah, dude, the lobby smells so good. Incredible. The whole place smelled like it. And so we get down there and I mean, there's a hundred people in line for this bathroom. Like everywhere you look, there's just a million old people. And we get down there and I make eye contact with Catherine. I'm in a good mood, you know, Rosie, and I see Catherine and I'm like, okay, uh, I think Rosie just pooped. So we're going to have to change her. And she's like, well, Bo just peed all over my dress. So there's that. And I was like, oh no. And the, the lines for the bathrooms were so long. I mean, so long. And so, and she's like, and Hattie says she has to go to the bathroom. So I was like, okay, whatever. So all that to say, it got a little bit hectic at some point.
Starting point is 01:04:27 It was one of those things where it's like, Hey, let's just, let's just go and do this thing. Surely it's not that hectic of a thing. If Rosie cries, we'll put her in the crying room. Didn't foresee Bo peeing on like, cause Bo was sitting on Catherine's lap and Bo, apparently at one point, Catherine thinks maybe he got a little bit scared of some lightning or something and a little bit of dribble came out. So, uh, so anyway,
Starting point is 01:04:48 all that to say, we're like trying to figure out like, okay, what's bathrooms do we go in? Where do we do all this stuff? And finally I find, you know, I get a bathroom.
Starting point is 01:04:57 We go, how do you and I go and I meet up with Catherine. She's like, did you get the almonds? I was like, uh, no, I've been busy.
Starting point is 01:05:03 She's like, okay, well I really want some all really hungry. So just like a little bit of hectic goes like you go get the almonds? I was like, I was like, uh, no, I've been busy. She's like, okay, well I really wanted some, I'm really hungry. So just like a little bit of hectic. I was like, you go get the almonds. I'll go back with Hattie.
Starting point is 01:05:11 So I sat down in our seats with Hattie and Catherine and Bo and Rosie were all in the crying room for the second half and the end of Esther, I cried. I, I, I not like, not like serious, like tears down the face,
Starting point is 01:05:23 but like, you know, they're, they encourage you to like, Hey, clap, like not like, not like serious, like tears down the face, but like, you know, they're, they encourage you to like, Hey, clap, like, you know, like participate in the show. Like if there's good parts clap along, you know? And so like, there were some parts. Yeah. It was just like, God is triumphant, you know, Esther, you know, leads her people away from death in, in, uh, you know, and then they show Jesus at the end and had, he's just clapping along with the whole thing. And I'm like, this is amazing.
Starting point is 01:05:49 I love that. I get to have this role in my daughter's life where she's, and she had just read about Esther. Like we had in her, in her like morning time. So she knew the entire story already. She was like telling me stuff. Like that's cool.
Starting point is 01:06:02 She's like, that's Hey, like Heyman's a, Heyman's a bad guy. You're going to want to look out for him. Trust him right. And so just a really sweet time with her got her little Esther doll and she sleeps with it all the time. Now, I mean, she loves it. So overall, just incredible. The whole thing was incredible. Got to go backstage afterwards, meet Esther and Queen King Xerxes, the actors. I was going to ask. So
Starting point is 01:06:24 apparently when we were there, we were seeing the understudy for Esther. I thought she did amazing, and she's second string. Apparently King Xerxes, the one that we saw, was fourth string. Would have no idea. Why do they even carry four strings of Xerxes? Because they do 11 shows a week.
Starting point is 01:06:39 Isn't that crazy? So I did get to talk to Josh Mayer's brother, because he's in the show. Did you point out which one he was? I told Josh I was going. He's like, look I, yeah, I did get to talk to Josh Mayer's brother. Cause you know, he's in the show. Yeah. Why not? Which one he was, uh, Josh, I told Josh, I was going, he's like, look for the six, seven, you know, Kings guard that looks exactly like, I mean, he didn't say this, but I was like, Oh, that's Josh's brother for sure. Um, yeah, he was telling us like, yeah, they do two a days, you know, weekends sometimes and yeah, brutal, just crazy. And so, yeah, you have to have, you got to protect your voice a little bit. Yeah. Um, but yeah, I mean, besides sense and sensibility, probably
Starting point is 01:07:11 the best show I've seen all the time. Um, just really crazy. Cool. Going backstage, seeing like they talked about, I think it was like 1400 costume changes that they do every show. Uh, the costume cause CJ, I think, think, is also a ghostie, was back there telling us she's one of the costume people. Just incredible. I was just very blown away by the entire production and how many different people have to be in sync for the whole thing to go well.
Starting point is 01:07:40 Anyway, very, very fun. Very cool. Got home a little bit late. Had some good ranchers on the grill. Went to it was a great night went to bed went to bed in the old wagon so that's fun yeah it was really cool really cool um timon can you do something for us i have a task for you okay you're gonna take the uh you're gonna make a little post right now on the ghost runners facebook group and say hey the bonus the bonus little episode is live now what else we want to say brad uh you say it's gonna be a poll or just a post post oh bonus episode is live now um also also comment also
Starting point is 01:08:22 we're recording right now comment a word that that you want Jake and Brad to incorporate into Wednesday's episode. Fun. Okay, so we'll put them in Wednesdays. Is that good? Is that a fun thing? That was exactly what I was thinking. Yeah. I'll send you the link tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:08:38 We do have bonus content on Patreon. It's been fun. We obviously did that football podcast hour 20 minutes or something like that, and it flew by. It's been fun. Um, we obviously did that football podcast hour, 20 minutes or something like that. And it flew by, it was so easy. I don't know how we could ever do it any shorter than that. Like I was like, like we didn't get to any of our segment ideas, you know, um, is really fun. People seem to really enjoy it. And yeah, we're also putting extra bonus, um, podcast content on there for you guys as well. So really trying to push for more, uh,
Starting point is 01:09:07 Patreon content, more Patreon subscriptions from you guys. So check it out. Uh, I think for all the, for those two bonuses, at least we're doing those on five, 10 and $15 tiers.
Starting point is 01:09:17 So, um, no matter how much you love us, you can get that. So no, um, people loved the, the football thing.
Starting point is 01:09:24 I mean, we just posted it yesterday. 53 comments. Yeah. Patreon. Yeah. It's more YouTube video. It's so fun. Um, yeah, this was incredible. Uh, this is why I loved this more Jake and Brad football posted on a Tuesday. Yeah. Yeah. So if you're looking for something, you know, you listen on Mondays, you're like, I don't know, there's nothing on Tuesdays. I don't know what to listen to yeah i'd say yeah i mean we only did one of them but we go through every football game give our thoughts and along the way we obviously just get off the rails at times and still like we're just kind of doing a normal thing right there's some good jokes in there yeah but it's just it's 100 football i know i'm already like i i know we shouldn't and i know
Starting point is 01:10:00 we won't but i'm already tempted like we should do it on Thursdays too or we predict next week's game because it's just so fun to me but anyway it's just it's just great so uh thanks for listening to that and um yeah supporting us in that way through patreon yeah it's fun a lot of cool things to come it's called team spirit the podcast spooky okay uh well fun let's see um other things for my week got to see another ghosty brain Oh, spooky. Okay. Well, fun. Let's see. Other things for my week. Got to see another ghosty Braden Parsons again. He was in Nashville, so we met up one night to just play pickleball.
Starting point is 01:10:36 We went to this big public park. There were Friday pickleball fans there. They were the best. We all played together, hung out for a little bit. That's crazy. Imagine that. You're just an innocent bystander, which is there any other kind of bystander?
Starting point is 01:10:49 There could be guilty bystanders. You think so? Uh-huh, yeah. You're just a guilty bystander just hanging out, and all of a sudden, yeah, somebody you follow on Instagram that you've never seen in your city all of a sudden just shows up at your pickleball court.
Starting point is 01:11:02 That'd be awesome. It's a win-win for everybody. I learned afterwards that Braden doesn't really live in Nashville. He lives an hour away. Drove straight from work to come play. I was like, dude, you got to drive an hour back home and then I'm feeling bad.
Starting point is 01:11:18 I'm like, dude, let's go get a Chick-fil-A milkshake or something. Basically, spend more time away from him. Get home later. He's like, no, I got to get home, dude. But it was really fun. Then come to find out, to make things worse, I left my backpack in his car. I didn't realize until he was like back home.
Starting point is 01:11:35 So I was like, oh my gosh, dude. So then the next morning, like we kind of, I Ubered and met him like halfway. We met at this coffee shop. So I got to see him, you know, I said bye to him a number of times over the course of the weekend. But just, yeah, ghosty shout out of the week.
Starting point is 01:11:50 Braden Parsons. Good guy alert. Braden's the one who's in the small group with John Crist, right? Yes. I saw him probably three weeks ago in Kid's City. So is Braden, does John Crist live in Nashville? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:01 Braden just drives an hour for a small group? Yeah. Man. Guy likes Nashville. Loves the mayonnaise. Loves studying about Jesus as a mayonnaise. Loves the mayonnaise. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:13 So it was fun. Yeah. I met plenty of other ghosties along the way, just like this weekend. I feel like I met ghosties at the end of every show. They were all awesome. I mean, there were some fun surprises. There was a woman who was telling me,
Starting point is 01:12:26 this is my daughter, and she's the one who Rachel's been talking to about volleyball. I'm like, I didn't even know Rachel was talking to a ghostie about volleyball. That's so fun. That's great. And then she was like, and my name is,
Starting point is 01:12:36 maybe you've seen my YouTube name. It's Barry Hollis. I was like, oh. Oh, my gosh. You, yeah. Of course. Yeah, I love when people make that association, or even if I already know you.
Starting point is 01:12:44 I saw Abby Kurtz in Charleston. I was like like abby kurtz i'm glad you're here you're so like faithful and supportive all the time she's just smiling man she's a smiler yeah always always happy it seems from what we could tell yeah so just saw a lot of good solid ghosties yeah all week and long and if like the shows went really well too. I feel like I'm finding my rhythm more and more as the weekends go on. And just, yeah, I've just been slowly trickling in new material and the new material is working. And I feel like Mikel and Trey and even Tom
Starting point is 01:13:17 have been complimentary like, dude, I love this joke you've been doing. I love this new joke. So that's kind of fun. That's cool, yeah. And yeah, good crowd work stuff too. I talked about a little bit on correct opinions, but I feel like there's just been good stuff. And I found out one of the that's cool yeah and yeah good crowd work stuff too i talked about a little bit on correct opinions but i think there's been good stuff and i found out one of the people i was doing a lot of crowd work with was a ghosty i don't know afterwards i was like oh
Starting point is 01:13:32 that's fun that was you she um i don't remember what happened exactly but she um her husband was a day trader and i think i was just making fun of like that's not a real job and stuff like that and like how do you how do you actually do things and then oh they're out there let me get him I think she was the same person who made shirts for us let me go get him real quick okay are you gonna be okay being with time in for just like a little bit yeah usually yeah we have like a rule like rule of three but you know he's a minor Tymon, you and I are going to sing a song real quick. Okay. You start it and I'll sing along. He doesn't know any. Every song.
Starting point is 01:14:10 Every song leaves immediately. Okay. Every song. Every song. Every song is a slamming screen. Doors begin our way on your window. When we're all alone and we talk real slow. Because it's late and your mama don't know
Starting point is 01:14:26 Our song is a silly laugh First date, man, I didn't kiss her and I should But when I got home For I said amen Asking God if he Could play it again Hey, wow, this is a basket. This is a care package basket. Play it again. Hey, wow.
Starting point is 01:14:48 This is a basket. This is a care package basket. These are from Melody. A couple different ghosts. Melody gave us the basket. There's a card in there too. I really haven't dove into it much. I did already eat my portion of the banana bread.
Starting point is 01:14:59 So this is yours. Whoa, baby. Melody, I went to town on the banana bread that night in the hotel room. Melody. And I wish I wouldn't have on the banana bread that night in the hotel room. Melody. And I wish I wouldn't have. We are going to partake as a family at a feast for this banana bread. Bo loves banana bread. Me too.
Starting point is 01:15:12 Bo calls every bread banana bread. Like pumpkin bread is banana bread. I want that banana pumpkin bread. Thank you. Awesome. That was from Melody. That was in Charleston. But Chelsea was talking about it, who I think was in Baltimore.
Starting point is 01:15:23 She drove four hours from Virginia Beach. She got a shirt for all of us. Fun. What do we got here? This is for timing. Horses. Oh, yeah. That's awesome.
Starting point is 01:15:31 But she was like, I made this before you guys announced. Yeah, fall merch. Fall merch. I didn't know you were going to make time in a horse shirt. Yeah. Best selling shirt in October. Fun fact.
Starting point is 01:15:40 Is it really? Yeah. That one? I feel like the theme song shirt is. I mean, we haven't had a whole lot of sales in October yet, but. And then very similarly, she made a Facebook group shirt. And she's like, I didn't know you guys were going to make a Facebook group shirt. She needs to just be the merch designer, it looks like.
Starting point is 01:15:52 So she made one for each of us. I love it. One for you, one for me, and then Tymon's got his horseshirt. But yeah, pretty funny. That's great. Here it is right here. And she even like made her own number one ghostie here. I love the pod from s'mores to win of the week to the chief
Starting point is 01:16:05 Super Bowl parade video and all the in between that keep me laughing every week. Thanks for being awesome. Chelsea Meeks in the house. That's so fun. Cool. I love it. Chelsea. Thank you. Thank you. And look at all this stuff. I can't wait to dive into this. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:16:21 there's a bunch of stuff. She said there's like a card that goes along with everything in there. There's some OCP in there. Oh, look at what I just pulled out. Time that even gets a gift card to Chick-fil-A hit it one time.
Starting point is 01:16:38 Cool. Well, that's great. We will look into this more on that Wednesday episode. See what we got in there. Cool. Absolutely. That's awesome. Well, that's fun. Yeah on the Wednesday episode and see what we got in there. Cool. Absolutely. That's awesome. Well, that's fun. Yeah. I think we have more sponsors talking about it. MatriRoasters.com.
Starting point is 01:16:50 MatriRoasters.com. You know them. You love them. Best coffee in the world? Question mark? Exclamation point? Exclamation point? Exclamation point?
Starting point is 01:17:03 So many exclamation points because it's true uh you know them you love them they're great what else is there to say besides drink their coffee y'all drink the coffee eat the beans i don't care uh melt it down into a little spoon inject it into yourself figure it out this took a turn i'm saying we can't control what you do once you buy it, but just please buy it. Starting point is 01:17:43 it's near Napanee. It's crazy. All roads lead back to Napanee. It's crazy. All roads lead back to Napanee, Indiana. And Main Street Roasters, MainStreetRoasters.com. So, yeah. Check them out. Check them out. Do you want to do the other sponsor now or do you want to wait a little bit on that one?
Starting point is 01:17:56 Let's wait. Let's wait. Let's wait. Let's wait. Just a little old sprinklage in. Yeah. Let me tell you about a low light from Branson. Can I do that?
Starting point is 01:18:03 Yeah. Let me tell you about a low light from Branson. Can I do that? Yeah. So first of all, I want to preface it by saying I know I hate on Missouri all the time. I love Branson, Missouri. Dude, I love it. I do. It's awesome. I could easily live there. It feels like heaven on earth sometimes. It's awesome.
Starting point is 01:18:23 It's awesome. It's awesome. A little warmer than where we're's awesome. It's awesome. It's awesome. A little warmer than where we're at here. There's an added bonus. Yeah. Probably a few degrees warmer. Sure. I'm always thinking about this beautiful country.
Starting point is 01:18:31 Like it's just awesome. And it's affordable. It has all these amenities because it's a tourist attraction. So it's got all these like big places. Summertime is popping down there. I mean, near Canacook. I just love it.
Starting point is 01:18:43 So genuinely like where we stayed, Sycamore Creek is a great place. Great stop. It was like in the country, but yeah, right in your Canicook. So it's like not far, like 20 minutes from everything we wanted to go. It was awesome. Um, one place that Catherine and I irrationally love is Dana's. You ever go to Dana's? Oh yeah. Back in the day I used to. Yeah. So it's a barbecue place. They have barbecue nachos that we both really love. Now one of them is called Kim's, but we're, you know, we're loyal. So we're always going to call it Dana's. Uh, but there's one, uh, location that's like in Kirbyville, which is like outside of town through like some highways, country highways kind of seems like it's in the middle of nowhere. Um, and so Catherine,
Starting point is 01:19:23 I both were like, when we're there, how fun would it be to take our kids to Dana's? We used to go there on our time off at camp a lot. Um, that'd be so fun. And so we're driving there and we're leaving Sycamore Creek where we stayed and we, you don't know this time, but Jake kind of maybe understands. We turned onto T highway, which, you know, that not really. Well, like the, the main, well, you know well you know timberlake uh yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 01:19:46 there's always not a deer over there yeah timberlake kind of dead ends in the t highway that's where a lot of this the you know directors and stuff live oh no i know no i know no no so so i'm like yeah it's just down t highway and it'll just be it will just run into danis because catherine's driving because she gets a little motion sickness on these kind of roads okay and i'm like that's fine whatever you can drive and she's like really it's just okay into Dana's because Catherine's driving. Cause she gets a little motion sickness on these kinds of roads. Okay. And I'm like, that's fine. Whatever you can drive. And she's like,
Starting point is 01:20:07 really? It's just okay. I mean, you've been to Branson a lot more than me. And so she's driving and she, she's taking these roads a little bit quick. Uh, no problem.
Starting point is 01:20:16 Uh, but we kind of like, we're kind of just winding around. And finally, like we see this sign that says no outlet. And I'm like, that's, that's not, I don't know why it's maybe it meant for that little, like jut, like the little fork in the says no outlet. And I'm like, that's, that's not,
Starting point is 01:20:25 I don't know why it's maybe it meant for that little, like jut, like the little fork in the road. No, I don't know. The Tanger outlets are not over here. There's no outlet mall. There's no outlet mall over here. I'm like, I don't know what that is. And so we drive, you know, another mile and then we do hit a dead end on T highway and I'm like, Oh, maybe it wasn't on T highway. And Catherine, you know, was trying so hard to just like, trust me and like, not, you know, you know what? Okay. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. And, and so now all of a sudden we're like kind of running a little bit behind as far as nap schedules go. And so she's hustling even more back through these windy roads and Bo's getting a little bit restless. He's starting to kind of cry. Oh, I want to go back to the wagons. I want
Starting point is 01:21:04 to go back to the wagons. I was like, I know, buddy. And so we get back on, you know, the main highway where, I mean, it's country highway 76, where Dana's is off of, and we're driving another like 15 minutes on these windy roads. And we're like within eyesight, I shot, I view of Dana's like, it's down the highway road, you know, another mile. If Danis was a, was an F one 50, you could have called shotgun to sit in it.
Starting point is 01:21:29 A hundred percent. Yeah. And instead of calling shotgun bow called puke, puke out my mouth gun. And I mean, cause he's like whining and all of a sudden he's kind of starts. And, and,
Starting point is 01:21:43 and Hattie is so sweet. She's like, Oh, Bowie Bowie bowie are you okay and he's like i don't feel good and and we just pull off to the side catherine's like you know we just like to our credit you know we've been married almost 10 years now we didn't let it phase us too much she's like okay you call it to go i'll start cleaning them up hattie immediately got out of the car just like stood outside rosie's asleep this whole time. Like Rosie doesn't wake up for anything. I mean, and I think he just got car sick in the back and he was kind of whining. And I was just like, is he like, that seems weird that he's like that. You think he's
Starting point is 01:22:18 okay. And Catherine's like, oh, it's just near his nap time. I think he's just being this way. Nope. That's so that's too bad. That's pretty hilarious. Also, I somehow didn't see it coming, even though you told me that you were driving fast on the streets. I thought that was just a fun little detail. Yeah. He just yacked. And like, I think I drive fast, but I think Catherine drives a fast in a different way. Like she kind of drives, like doesn't really put her foot on the brake as she goes around these turns. It's like a speed versus like acceleration versus like torque. I guess so. I don't know. But anyway, like, and so then like, she's very self-conscious the whole way back. Like, am I driving? Okay. I'm like, you're doing
Starting point is 01:22:52 fine. Um, but a detail that I should put in now, I didn't want to give away the story, but earlier in the day, you know, this was Friday, Friday morning. We kind of realized like, Hey, we might not have time to make s'mores tonight. We told the kids we're going to make s'mores. They came, the wagons came with like a s'mores kit, which was awesome. That is awesome. And they're so excited about, I was like, like kind of like almost like a trolling Catherine. I was like kind of looking at her while I said this, I was like, guys, like kids, what if we had s'mores right after breakfast? And Catherine kind of called my bluff she's like I'm not gonna be the bad guy it's one vacation you want to do s'mores so we did morning
Starting point is 01:23:30 breakfast s'mores and it was epic it was awesome like we had these massive marshmallows and these kids are our kids are eating the s'mores in the like in their pajamas it's like the fun most fun thing and it's a fun video. Yeah. Later on, Catherine did have a little comment for me, you know, after he gets sick, he's like, well, I saw some graham crackers coming out there. So maybe s'mores for breakfast. Wasn't a great idea, Brad. You're like, well, I didn't know he's going to be driven around by Michael Schumacher later. Didn't know Danica Patrick was going to be driving around this thing. So anyway, yeah, it was, it was a little bit of a low light, but really we got
Starting point is 01:24:06 through it. And honestly, he felt both felt completely fine. I think after he got sick. So, uh, sometimes that's what you need. Just a good, uh, it's good. Ralph. Yeah. A hundred percent.
Starting point is 01:24:14 He, he, uh, he yacked and then he partook partook of the data. So, uh, got it to go, went back to the wagon. We were just fine. So such a trooper. Yeah. Uh, let me ask you this, Brad, what do you think is the hardest sport in the world? Hardest sport in the world? Golf. Well, or soccer. A lot of people do say soccer. Yeah. You know what it actually is being a mom. Oh my gosh. That is a sport. You have to be an athlete.
Starting point is 01:24:40 Well, yeah. Coordination. Yeah. Catching the puke catching the pee absolutely um catching yeah yeah katherine did take a lot of you know bodily fluids this week that's not good no uh the reason i say that is because time and hit it new sponsor alert what what what ping time and you need to do a little more um uh pizza pizza on that i think you're going a little more pizza pizza on that. I think you're going a little pizza pizza. I'm trying to wait for it to like the sound is a little delayed. Here we go.
Starting point is 01:25:14 Pizza pizza pizza. Pizza pizza pizza. Yeah, we got a new sponsor alert and yeah, it's centered around moms. Yes, it is. The brand itself is called So Strong. Yes.
Starting point is 01:25:28 How strong? I'm so strong. I'm so strong. What was that song? Was it by Trapped called Headstrong? So strong to take you on. So strong to take on anyone. I know if you're a mom and this is what you should be on that's pretty good yeah
Starting point is 01:25:50 um so yeah you should be on what are we talking about we're talking about food yeah we're talking about a little oat bar you're talking about yeah oat bars so strong s-o-w so you're sowing strong community sowing strong roots. There it is. You're, uh, you're, you're cultivating something great in your family. We understand that as a mom specifically, you are like, they, these bars are called mom on a mission. As a mom, you often need food to go. So often Catherine makes food for everybody else. And then she's like, ah, I got to get out of here. I wish I had something on the go. And she does sometimes, but these protein bars they make these days
Starting point is 01:26:27 often tastes like garbage, garbage, garbage. I bet those bars, uh, don't taste great. And are also, uh, gluten-free have clean carbs, no seed oils and vegan. No, I bet they don't check all those boxes. They don't. And these do, it was so strong. My buddy, Justin Kershaw, with his wife, Shakira, they. The different one, a different Shakira. Are you sure? I don't know. Okay. Let's not, let's not officially say that.
Starting point is 01:26:56 It might be the Shakira you're thinking of. I asked and her hips were very honest to me. Really? Yeah. It's like an honest bystander. Uh-huh. Honest bystander. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:06 They started the company. My buddy, Justin is an amazing duty. I know him from integrated. He's a strong Christian guy. Um, they're the founders of this. So strong S O W so strong food and their bars mom on a mission are truly amazing. I've had them. It was actually funny. So Justin, I'll tell you the story. Uh, I think I've told just, or Jake off the podcast. Justin is a big old, like he was a former D one. He played football at Michigan state, I believe stud of a defensive lineman and pretty intimidating guy. Um, he came up to me, we were talking about these bars and he's like, uh, he's like, yeah, actually, will you try one in front of me real quick? And I was like, you want me to just eat it right in front of your, like until he's like, yeah, I want it. I want you to tell me what you think of it.
Starting point is 01:27:47 I was like, I was like, I'm going to lie if I don't like it. Like, I'm not going to tell you, but I had it and it was awesome. Did you feel like you wanted to like be on a mission all of a sudden? I did. Yeah. So honestly they're called mom on a mission. They're, they're geared towards moms who are on the go and trying to, um, accomplish great things in life, but also have great healthy, uh, benefits to these bars, but they are for anybody. They're really, really good. They're just a solid protein bar. Um, that yeah, it's delicious. So check it out. Yeah. It's a delicious snack. You can feel healthy about enjoying go to so strong food.com. So strong S O W strong food.com. Uh, I believe we have a promo code of GRKC. We will, um, confirm that with them
Starting point is 01:28:27 and put it in the description below, but, uh, either way, promo code or not, these things are worth it. These things are delicious. They have cocoa, they have original, uh, and I believe they have cherry at times. So, uh, those are the three flavors, all very, very good, all worth checking out. Um, and just a great family. Can't't can't say that enough so uh check them out so strong food.com shout out so strong how strong i'm so strong so strong y'all want a victory we'll do it something uh related to food rachel sent me kind of a funny text at some point uh this past weekend um i asked her what she was up to i think she'd been hanging out with some friends maybe book club i don't know and i was like what are you up to the rest of the night
Starting point is 01:29:07 and it was like 10 p.m central time and she was like you know it's gonna sound crazy but i think i'm gonna i'm already out about i think i'm gonna drive to whataburger sit in the parking lot and read for an hour until hannibutter chicken biscuits are available and then get a couple biscuits it's like that is awesome that gets you going a little bit that is 100 something i would do that's so cool you're doing that without me yeah i couldn't believe it oh dude just hammering hbcbs just by herself yeah little old rachel who would have thought that's corrupted her but then again she's still reading it's different if she was i don't know what i would be doing right that's yeah yeah you would be perusing the internet.
Starting point is 01:29:45 Yeah. I do love the internet. It's been good to me. You'd be on the internet doing something. Thanks. Rachel hammered some Whataburger. It might have been the same night that our wives went to quite the birthday party.
Starting point is 01:30:00 Yeah. I was out of town, obviously, but Rachel was telling me that her and Catherine were the only ones who really like, who like really dressed on theme apparently. Yeah. Right. It was, uh, it was Calvin and Molly Beck's birthday party. Yes. Shout out to them. They turned 30 and they were having a Downton Abbey theme party. And I heard that and I said, uh, I'll stay home with the kids. I'm not wearing that. I don't have time in, you know, Mr. Willoughby costume in the closet.
Starting point is 01:30:30 And so, yeah, I did want to go. And Catherine's like, oh, there were people there that weren't dressed up at all. And I was like, well, I would have gone then. Yeah. Yeah, I guess like other, I guess girls were kind of in dresses, but they were, I guess, what you would call cute cute dresses where I think Rachel and Catherine were like, we're going to really go for it. They, they went for it.
Starting point is 01:30:50 They, they wore these like gloves, like up to their elbows kind of thing. And, uh, I think Rachel had even like a little, we call it a shawl, that little kind of thing around her shoulders, neck kind of thing. Um, maybe a necktie. No, I'm just kidding. I don't know. Um, I, I've never seen Downton Abbey. I don't really get the appeal, but man, I guess it was fun for them. But Catherine
Starting point is 01:31:09 came back and was like, that was such a fun party. And she said, it was interesting hearing their like recount of it because I think so often they are Catherine's like, so often I lean on you socially, like when we're in parties and settings like that. And I think Rachel kind of felt the same way of like, yeah, I mean, I'm, I'm the new person here with Jake. I'm Jake's wife. And so I think it was really fun for both of them to be like, Hey, we get to do this ourselves. You know, not that I ever am like, Hey, Catherine, stand behind me, you know, whatever. But like, I think it's just default sometimes. So fun to hear them enjoy their, their time without us. They loved it.
Starting point is 01:31:46 Rachel was so looking forward to it too. Cause I was like, you know, sorry, I'm only home like a day and I have to leave. She's like, it's okay. I got Molly's thing on Saturday.
Starting point is 01:31:52 Right. She was amped up for it all week. I love that. That's so sweet. Yeah. I just love, I love when Catherine and Rachel get time at all. Like,
Starting point is 01:31:59 you know what I mean? Like, cause it was a little bit of a far drive. And so they got time there and time back. And anyway, all fun stuff. Good stuff. Yes. let me tell you just a little more about branson okay tie put a bow on it um so that night last night we were there they had a fall fest at sycamore creek um shout out sycamore i mean if you're around the branson area you have kids or you just want to stay by yourself it's a sweet place but um the best part for these kids out of all the different things, they had this massive slide
Starting point is 01:32:29 like with the tube thing. It was so fun. Oh yeah. You see that? Yeah. Bo was too like he was like big enough and like brave enough to go down by himself, but he wasn't strong enough to pull the tube back up. Oh wow. So I had to like push him down, you know, the slide to go down. And then he would just stand there at the bottom until I walked down and pulled the tube back up. And so by the end, I was just drenched in sweat. But probably the highlight. How big was this tube?
Starting point is 01:32:56 Not that big. It was like a tube that you would take like on the back of a boat, but it was like harder plastic than that. So it was heavy enough, but there was a, my friend brought his four-year-old boy there and he was, I think Bo could have done it. It would have just been a struggle. Okay. So I was like, I'm not going to deal with this right now. Um, so I just did it for him. But, um, I mean, there were all sorts of different fun games and all these different things they had. Like you could do the whole, like, um, big rubber band, like slingshot they had. Like you could do the whole like a big rubber
Starting point is 01:33:25 band, like slingshot kind of thing where you could shoot things out into the field. But my kids out of all the things there, they had this massive bin of corn and that was the thing they liked the most was just like swimming in the corn bin. Yeah. Genuinely gross. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. And this was the very first night they did like the fall fest. I think they're doing it for like five weeks, but, um, we were the very first. So I was like, that's fine. Go in the corn. Get it now. Yeah, absolutely. Kind of like bobbing for apples, Bob first, if you're going to do it. Um, but, uh, like we went and did that and then we went and like shot these, you know, slingshots or whatever. And Bo's just like, can we go back to
Starting point is 01:34:00 the corn? I want to go back to the corn now. Um, so that was pretty fun. But the highlight of the fall fest for me, uh, was actually, um, there was a kid. I say he's a kid. He's 24 years old, but he was an ex camper of mine who's at the Institute now. And he saw that I was in Branson. The Institute's a training program. That's in Branson. That's through Kanakuk. Um, now you do after you graduate college. And he saw that I was there. He's like, dude, can I come hang out with you at the fall? I was like, sure. And he came and I obviously remembered him.
Starting point is 01:34:35 We like connected a few times before that on social media. But he came up to me. He's like, dude, like you were my counselor, my very first summer at camp. And you led me to the Lord. And I, and I was like, I don't, I don't remember. Wow. I mean, I remember him and I remember like vaguely, you know, like leading kids like to the Lord and like ringing the bell with them and all that stuff. But like, you never know, like what's going to happen. Like you, you sow the seeds, you know, or you, you plant the seeds and you hope that they grow. And it was so encouraging. Like he like wanted to
Starting point is 01:35:04 like take time out of his day to like be very honest. He's like, you have been such made such an impact on my life. And I hadn't talked to this kid in 10 years, you know what I mean? Or 12 years, whatever it was. Um,
Starting point is 01:35:14 so it was, it was really encouraging for me of like, man, like I, obviously I think I did good at Canada. I think I was doing like things that were eternally impactful, but it was so cool to see this kid is living it out, and I had a very small part of that.
Starting point is 01:35:29 What was his name? Noah. Noah Wright. Shout out to Noah. I recognize him as well. I think he came through K-West. Yeah, he was a lifetime camper, I think, and great kid. It was so funny.
Starting point is 01:35:38 He's like an adult now. He's a full-fledged adult, but it still feels like, oh, here's my camper. Oh, Noah. Hey, get your shoes on. He was actually, they're kind of pg-13 stories but there's a few different stories from camp i might have told one of them actually yeah back in the day yeah and he was a part of like he was in the cabin for both of them so i was like do you remember this kid and he like he's like yeah he like pulled up a picture of like our cabin he's like is it this one right here i was
Starting point is 01:36:03 like yeah dude let me tell you some stories about him now that you're a little bit older. Um, but anyway, that was a huge highlight for me. It was seeing them. And then the next day we got to see the sparks family who had breakfast with them.
Starting point is 01:36:13 And it's just wonderful seeing camp people in Branson. And so maybe we'll go there for it. Yeah, I know. I would love to go back. So anyway, that's, that's Branson for you.
Starting point is 01:36:23 It was, it was a great time. We survived. We didn't really get in too many fights, uh's Branson for you. It was a great time. We survived. We didn't really get in too many fights. It was tight quarters, but we had a lot of fun. Yeah. It's awesome. Family vacation.
Starting point is 01:36:34 Stayed in the wag. Stayed in the wagon, dude. The Conestoga. Cool. Conestoga. Let's do some reviews of the week. Wrap this episode up. Mine is from your boy Donnie.
Starting point is 01:36:44 Hey, it's your boy Donnie here. He said. Wrap this episode up. Mine is from your boy Donnie. Hey, it's your boy Donnie here. He said. Giving you gambling advice. It looks like he's giving jokes right off the bat.
Starting point is 01:36:52 What did the owner of Good Ranchers say when his wife had a baby in America? That right there is American meat delivered. Figure it out.
Starting point is 01:37:01 There's one. There's one. Just. Hey! Wow. Nice job, Ty. Is that a one in eight chance? Well done. Yeah. There's one. Hey! Wow. Nice job, Ty. That was a one in eight chance. Well done. One in seven. He said, fire podcast.
Starting point is 01:37:12 Actually, he said fire emoji podcast. I've been listening for about five months, and it's the best. I love Brad and Tyman's singing. I'm always excited for Mondays and Wednesdays. What about Tuesdays, Danny? I also want to ask you a question. I'm going to accomplish this with my friend about who can get the most Spotify followers. So I wanted to ask, will you please follow me? Thank you.
Starting point is 01:37:28 You guys are amazing. Keep up the great work. Spotify followers is a funny place to like race. Come on. Yeah. Like what kind of clout you got? Like, I don't know. I got like 7,000 followers on Instagram. Yeah. But like how many Spotify followers? Is that a thing these days, Tywin? Jinju? I don't think. Not necessarily. I don't think so. And I wonder if he's a musician
Starting point is 01:37:47 or if it's just like his playlist. I think it's just his playlist. Yeah, he's just like, I make the best curations. Does he say his Spotify name? Yeah, it's wild. It looks like... It's O2KWBR4HLZWK.
Starting point is 01:38:04 It's madness. So, right. Uh, did we do Brie Franks, uh, last week? I don't think we did. Okay. I never listened to yours cause I'm always looking for mine. You know what I mean? Like go for it.
Starting point is 01:38:15 Uh, Brie Franks says, I love this podcast. Just want to say, I love listening to this podcast. I think we did that. Yeah. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'll listen to it every Monday and Wednesday morning on my way into work. Has anybody ever said that before?
Starting point is 01:38:28 I laugh out loud every time. It's hard to tell so far. I love the music, the authentic friendship Jake and Brad shared. I love hearing about your wives and family's lives also. Yeah, I think we have done this one actually. Actually?
Starting point is 01:38:37 Yeah. Okay. There's another one. It's just so long, but it's so sweet. It's from Charles in South Carolina. A plus content, five stars. Been listening for a while now and always felt this was a five-star podcast. So appreciative
Starting point is 01:38:48 of what you guys do and the joy you bring each week. Trying to return the favor a bit, so I finally looked up how to actually write a review for a podcast, and now here we go. Hope this helps the algorithms. My wife is like most women, that I know at least, when it comes to podcast listening. Dominated by almost exclusively murder and true crime podcasts each week. And I listened to a mix of theology, sports history and politics slash culture podcasts. However,
Starting point is 01:39:11 for a few hours, for a couple hours a week, we listened to ghost runners podcast and just laugh together. It's such a, it's such a gift to have a show. We can always throw on in the car and both parties are on board. So thank you for that. No cajoling required. No bargaining about who gets to pick. Just throw on some ghost runners and both parties are on board. So thank you for that. No cajoling required. No bargaining about who gets to pick.
Starting point is 01:39:26 Just throw on some ghost runners and enjoy. Cajoling is great. Yeah. Hey, should we cajole? Let's not cajole. I don't want to cajole. Please don't cajole you guys. Um, forgot to, uh, let's see.
Starting point is 01:39:39 Oh, both being fans of ghost runners is like having that default restaurant. You both love forgot to thaw something. Go in there. Don't know what type to thaw something. Go in there. Don't know what type of food we want. Go in there. Had a long day and don't want to cook. Let's go there tonight. Same thing about having a,
Starting point is 01:39:52 with having ghost runners. What kind of music? Pish posh. Just throw on the boys. Want to listen to your stuff or my stuff? Answer. Neither. Let's get some life updates.
Starting point is 01:40:00 A new episodes out. Nothing to discuss. It's ghost runners. My fair dough. This past week at my wife and I were two of the last people to meet Jake after the comedy show in Greenville, South Carolina. While waiting in line, I pitched a bunch of different bits I was going to do when meeting Jake, which my wife laughed at in line,
Starting point is 01:40:17 but would have been mortified if I followed through. So I behaved, but that had a downside. I forgot to give my most sincere thoughts that I wanted to share, which is this. Here we go. I can relate to the various fans who have felt some pride seeing you go up there and crush Jake. I was like, there's our guy killing it up there. Just an incredible moment for your fans. Now to both of you, Jake and Brad, thank you for honoring the Lord in your lives and not being shy about it. Thanks for being good stewards with your comedic gifts through the pods, YouTube videos,
Starting point is 01:40:45 and Jake on the tour. To steward your gifts well is to glorify God, which is the purpose of our lives as the people of God. We are grateful for the light of Jesus that you are shining out in an often dark multimedia landscape.
Starting point is 01:40:56 Anyways, love the pod. Appreciate you guys. Rooting for your successes and all your endeavors. Charles and Brooke in South Carolina. P.S. Shout out Tymon.
