Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, Jake, happy Monday, Ghosties. Happy Monday, Tymon. Woo! Happy Monday. No, you're wrong. Here we go. Tymon's back. I'll wait.
Starting point is 00:00:10 I'll wait. Whenever people say on their Instagram stories or whatever, like, play this game, no cheating, I think that's, for whatever reason, that is so funny to me. How many people are like, ooh, I'm going to cheat. They said no cheating, though. the instagram prop said i couldn't like send the last picture of your dog no cheating first of all if the person that's gonna cheat's gonna cheat no matter what instagram's not stopping them yeah second of all you like no cheating i don't know i'm with you it is so i've seen this before too it's like post the seventh most recent photo on your camera roll.
Starting point is 00:00:47 No cheating. No cheating. Seriously, no cheating. Hey, don't you cheat. Seriously, don't cheat. And I wonder, because it seems like the people who do play along with that have quite the photo to post. And so I wonder, are the people participating only the people who have something noteworthy
Starting point is 00:01:04 to show, seventh back? Or are a lot of people cheating? Right. Either way, dumb. Yeah, this soundbite works perfectly with any video on your phone. Take the last video of your phone, no cheating. And it's like this viral video of this perfect cliff diving. It's like, you cheated!
Starting point is 00:01:19 It's okay! We want you to cheat! The whole social media is cheating. It is cheating, yeah. It's just one big Ashley Madison. Uh-oh. Ooh, I think this tight beat means that it's going down. With some random thoughts in white.
Starting point is 00:01:33 Me too. Midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat. So come along. Let's have some fun and go ahead. Get on your feet. Because it's the Ghost Brothers Podcast. Ghost Brothers Podcast. Everybody, come on.
Starting point is 00:01:44 It'll be taking ground. Ghost Brothers Podcast. Anyway, no cheating, Jake. Jake, no cheating. Tell me the first word that comes to mind when I say hello. Adios. Okay, no cheating. No cheating. Did you cheat? Was that really the first word?
Starting point is 00:02:04 I think it was. Rachel, I've been watching Breaking Bad. We just got into season three, and so those twins, you know, the scary twins who never talk. The Puyo Sermanos. Yeah, Gus's boys. Yeah, Gus's boys. Dude, when they sit on that bed, and he's in the shower. Oh, a shower, just kind of singing.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Oh, that was, I was more tense than that than any other time in my entire life. Yeah, it's good. Wow, you're already on season three? So that was, I was more tense than that than any other time in my entire life. Yeah. It's good. Wow. You're already on season three. Yeah. We spent break and be just a night after night. So good.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Parks and rec during the day, break be at night. I feel like you should do that opposite where it's like, like you don't want to have nightmares at night. I don't know. It feels wrong to watch breaking bad in the day. It's like Taco Bell. This is a nighttime activity. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:02:43 It's too dark. Parks and rec is sunny. It's fun. It's about a park nighttime activity. Yeah, that's true. It's too dark. Parks and Rec is sunny. It's fun. It's about a park. That's daytime. That's noon. You don't go to the parks in the daytime. You break bad in the night.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Yeah. I have something to ask you about. Connor Kelderman, accountant to the stars, and also the Ghost Runners podcast, been talking to him recently about some stuff. He needed my signature for something. And I was like, great. I'll send like a docusign over.
Starting point is 00:03:09 He's like, unfortunately, this is like for the IRS. I know it's annoying. You have to print it off, sign it, and then like scan it back to me. I know it's annoying, but just like they just need a wet signature. I said, well, they need what? What do they need of me? the irs wet signature signatures i don't give those out for free buddy yeah
Starting point is 00:03:32 uh yeah i i had never heard that term before i emailed him back and i said the term wet signature is more annoying than the process of having to do it. That hits your ears wrong for sure. Wet signature. I would rather, yeah, the IRS do much more to me than make me give them a wet signature. What's worse, a wet signature, a dry signature, or a sticky signature? I don't like adjectives to write signatures. Like a sticky signature would just be, you have to take a bunch of newspaper clippings and cut out all the different letters and tape them on there. Ransom note style. Yeah. A dry signature is.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Dry signature is like, you know how that back in the day you had the stencils and you took the crayon and you like covered the crayon over the paper and it kind of came out with your signature. Yeah. It's just kind of like a lot of like scratchy and graphite on paper. And then, yeah, wet signature. Also just funny, in a world of limitless technology, we can deposit checks from our phone. This one thing is like we need to get out your quill and your ink. It's the only way it's official these days.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Yeah, and who's saying you're not forging that just as easily as anything else? Yeah, they just want you to be annoyed while you're forging it. I do get kind of geeky or like, I think geekily about like forging signatures and stuff. Like could some expert know if someone forged my signature and they weren't left-handed? Like, do you think that there's people out there that are so good at recognizing signatures? That's like that person didn't do it the right way because they're that, you know, whatever. I think true criminal minds taught me that there is an expert on everything. So there probably is someone out there who's like, uh, what's the pond stars.
Starting point is 00:05:18 Oh, were they like that too? Oh, you never watched that? Oh dude. It was kind of comical. It was one of those things where it's classic, TV show. Oh, it's because they have something in. They're like, well, I got an expert for this. He's like, oh, man, yeah, this Ant-Man comic book from the 1960s. I'm going to bring my Ant-Man 1960s comic book expert in here real quick that also lives in Vegas, and he's five minutes away, and we're just going to have him come in while you're here and just look at it real quick.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Easy. Yeah. An old scuba tank from what part? Indian Ocean? I got a scuba in Indian Ocean, guy. yeah you're yeah i need you here okay you can be here in two minutes you're you're you're riding your bike down the road right now perfect perfect yeah yeah that's so maybe someone could tell like there's no smudge just slightest smudge of a left-handed rider right maybe they could tell but yeah wet signature was just funny. It's sounded, well, it sounded like a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:06:05 It sounded like, um, it sounds like what you do. Like you cry because of how much money you owe in taxes and you kind of, you get some tears on the paper. You're like, it's like a little teardrop stain. Yep. He's sad. It's a little bit raised in that one spot. He, he wet the signature.
Starting point is 00:06:23 It also sounds like a, like an Italian chef's signature garnish. And I'll add a little wet signature, a little balsamic vinegar. You guys enjoying your food tonight? You guys enjoying it? Yeah, the Capricol is really good. It's got that wet signature on it. Nice, huh? The Gobble Ghoul?
Starting point is 00:06:42 You have the Gobble Ghoul? You go to Antonio's, they're not going to have the same wet signature. They won't have the Dame WS that we have. We sign that thing with just enough wetness. Just get it right in there, yeah? Okay, God bless. Make sure you tip nice for Therese, all right? She works hard.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Okay. Last one. Wet signature also sounds like you don't really understand what to do. So you're like, well, really understand what to do. It's you're like, well, DNA is getting pretty good. You just let it lick the paper. Like, don't know it's me. Yeah. Don't run it through the test. Right. 23 and me can do it. Take a piplet. There you go. You can have it. It's my wet signature. I lick the paper.
Starting point is 00:07:18 That, no, that's technology right there is like- Sending a hair. Sure. Or I was just thinking like when you lick the letter to send it, that's your signature. Yes. What signature? You open that thing up and you just swab it real quick, throw it into a little machine.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Yeah, that was from Jake. That's going to defeat AI right there. I'm pro the government having stuff like that about us because it'd be so much easier. Like, yeah, like my credit card is attached to like my height and weight and phone number sure i'm not a criminal so i don't mind that it feels like we're like well i mean that's not really right should the government really know your dna it's like well if you're not committing crimes who cares the government knows all our dna right now let me wet sig yeah that's right i want to i want to sign stuff with my tongue. That would be like, it's kind of like TSA clear or whatever. Yeah. They know my life. Like you, you get pulled over.
Starting point is 00:08:10 You just, you just show them your QR code and they're like, we know everything about you. You're good. Yeah. And we'll bill you. Cause we know your credit card and your address. Cause you looked into this. We may bill you, you know, you might get off. You'll find out seven, 10 business days. Yeah. I think that's fun. I'd like to pay with my thumbprint in the future everywhere. Yeah. Or retina or whatever. I mean, it's kind of what we're doing. You know, looking in your eye.
Starting point is 00:08:33 That's your biometrics. Yeah. Dude, my phone can unlock upside down sometimes more consistently. Like it's like on my like bathroom sink down, and I get a notification. I kind of look at it, and it unlocks. But I would guess 25% of the time when I'm just looking at it like this, it's not unlocking.
Starting point is 00:08:53 I don't have it at the right angle where I'm just holding it up, but sometimes upside down it works just fine. About two years ago or so is when I switched. I'm going to be a Face ID guy because I'm sick of trying to download a free app and having to type in 14 characters for my Apple password. I'm like, just a Face ID guy because I'm sick of trying to download a free app and having to type in 14 characters for my Apple password.
Starting point is 00:09:08 I'm like, just give it to me. It doesn't even cost me. But once every two weeks, I get so annoyed. My phone will be like this and it'll light up while I'm working. I'm like, oh, who is it? And then it kind of does the lock sign. I'm like, I'm right here.
Starting point is 00:09:20 And then I get more and more over it and it's still locking. I'm like, it's me! You know me! How do I get more and more over it and it's still locking. I'm like, it's me! You know me! Hello! How do I get more above where the phone is? You're just trying to hover over it. You see it.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Where else do you want my angle to be? Oh, I get frustrated. You got to throw it upside down, brother. I guess so. Yeah, you just got to have it topsy-turvy or something. I think so. I'll set it on the jug.
Starting point is 00:09:43 Set it on the jug. Yeah, you've adopted the jug? Yeah, Rachel's out of town, so why not? When Mama's out of town, Daddy gets that jug. Yeah, Grandpa left his jug, so I get it the next few days. I did ask Harrison, who works for like a, what does he call it? Like a goods, they have a ton of just like random products that they embroider. That's what he calls it.
Starting point is 00:10:04 That's the best way to sum it up. Anyway, anyway i was like do you guys sell big jugs because i would love to make a bondi just jug like this lambert's one rachel lost her water bottle for a while and we're just taking that to like power life and fit street classes and she's like i've never gone to a class without getting a comment about it yeah right i think it's hilarious that i bring this she's like i just need a bottle, but people love the Lambert's mug. Oh yeah. It's great. Deli deli. Um, speaking of Lambert's mug, not truly, but it made me look at my water bottle, which made me reminded me that I am now an Amazon video review guy. Oh yeah. Talk to me. Yeah. So, you know, TJ and I were talking the other day, TJ Macias, walk in love. Um, and he's like,
Starting point is 00:10:46 yeah, some of our friends do these Amazon video reviews and apparently you can potentially make some money off of it. Um, or basically you just sign up for this, you know, whatever influencer account, it's not influencer, but whatever you want to call it. Um, and you just review anything that's sold on Amazon, You attach to that product. And if someone watches your video and then buys it, you can make a commission off of it. Kind of like affiliate marketing kind of thing. Cool. And so he's like, it's more quantity than it is quality. And I'm like, that is my middle name, brother. And so, uh, yeah, just yesterday I like signed up and was like, well, you need three videos to like try out, you know, like get approved or whatever.
Starting point is 00:11:26 And so I looked in my truck and found, I mean, everything sold on Amazon. And so even if I didn't buy it from Amazon, like I didn't buy this yet. But you found that Amazon link for that. Yeah. Okay. And so I just talked about this. It's, it's so hard to talk about a water bottle for more than, you know, 30 seconds. I feel like if anyone could do it, you can though,
Starting point is 00:11:45 like you could have opinions on anything in this room. I tried hard. I was like, this is great. You know, whatever, all these different things. And yeah, reviewed that a, uh, it's called a, that's it bar. It's like a little fruit bar that was in my, uh, console reviewed my console organizer. Um, my, my external hard drive that I had in my backpack. Okay. I mean, just anything. We'll see if it comes to fruition or anything. Yeah. So do they get posted? Can Ghosties find these? I think so.
Starting point is 00:12:15 I'm looking right now. Yeah. Can you find me? I know if you look up Walkin' Love Amazon, I know you can find TJ's thing. I don't know if mine's public yet. I don't know if mine's public yet. I don't know. Let's see. I think it's just called Ellis custom creations, I think. So, um, anyway, but yeah, I don't know. I'm just trying to try to see what happens there. See if I think I'm going to try like a hundred times because they're so easy to make. Yeah. And so I'm just going to try like a hundred products. And if I make a little bit of money, right. And if I don't,
Starting point is 00:12:45 I'm not out that much, you know? And maybe all you need is just one to really like resonate. That's what I'm saying. Whether it's like, I don't know if it's, I'm sure it's percentage of the sale. Right.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Yeah. Or just like somehow find a product that doesn't have that many reviews yet. And then like people are really looking to yours for help and answers. That's kind of fun. Amazon's doing that and really fun for the ghosties if they ever find you out there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Don't cheat.
Starting point is 00:13:08 I mean, you can't cheat. You can find my page. Did anybody find me? No cheating. Cause I want to do a bunch of woodworking ones. It does feel like that hasn't been, like I'll look at a product and it doesn't have any reviews or like video reviews. Oh, great.
Starting point is 00:13:21 And some of them will. Go off. It feels like the mom influencers are a lot quicker to this trend than men. And so hopefully if I get into the more woodworking niche, I'm video number one on Festool TS55. I went with the RO400, Brad. I watched a review by this guy and I had to get it. Look a lot like you, Brad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:43 I feel like we got a comment or a post. Something recently was like someday I need you and Brad to like, just write down all the different ways you've made money. Like just so I could see a list of them. Right. And yeah, I might have to add Amazon review to the list. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Catherine did like compare Amazon, like this idea. She's like, I mean, it's like the $5 jokes thing. Like why not try it and see what happens. And if it keeps working, then keep doing it. So, I mean, it's never been $5 jokes thing. Like why not try it and see what happens. And if it keeps working, then keep doing it.
Starting point is 00:14:05 So, I mean, it's never been easier to make videos. And as long as you have something to say and products around you, yeah, you knock it out. Totally. You'd stay after we're done recording here today and do 20 and just in the
Starting point is 00:14:17 things we haven't here. I probably should, because that's, that's my biggest, like, Hey, you're on video. Maybe my biggest hangup is just like,
Starting point is 00:14:23 uh, the kids are around. I don't want to be like, you know, video my maybe my biggest hang-up is just like uh the kids are around i don't want to be like you know bothersome to them but i also don't want them to be yelling in the background of this thing you just review every single spoon and spatula i bought for bondi just knock them out one by one this one's green it's a lot like the blue one um but if you prefer blue over green little darker i darker, I think it's... Well, it would be lighter, wouldn't it? I just like... You kind of argue with yourself.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Yeah. I don't know. Either way. Do you find me, Tymon? No, I didn't. I try to go by like most recent and videos, but... Still being approved, maybe. Could be.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Let's see. Might need your wet signature before I get you on there. I think if you could look up amazon.com slash shop slash LS Custom Creations. Wow. They made you make a review. So my review was a regular dad who likes to be positive. Wait, wait, wait. They made you make a review?
Starting point is 00:15:17 Oh, sorry. A profile. A description. Sorry. Description. A regular dad who likes to be positive. I'm a regular dad, but I likes to be positive i'm a regular dad but i like to be positive that's just me so there you go time pretty fun that's fine you'll have to uh it's too bad it's
Starting point is 00:15:36 a mouthful but i'd like to see you plug that a lot amazon.com shop else custom creations check it out you guys uh yesterday uh early evening about 6 p.m it out, you guys. Yesterday, early evening, about 6 p.m. It's about 1,000 degrees outside. I'm sitting in my car. I'm on the phone. The guy is kind of looking at me through the windshield. I'm like, maybe that's just how
Starting point is 00:15:58 he looks in a car. I don't know. I happen to get off the phone when he's still outside. As soon as I get out of the car, he goes, Ghostw runners guy. And I was like, oh, hey, what's up, dude? You know, nice to meet you. Hold on, let me grab my bag. Let me come over and shake your hand.
Starting point is 00:16:12 And so I shake his hand. And he's like, I actually don't know your name. I just know you're like the ghost runners guy. And I was like, oh, that's kind of fun. That's pretty cool. He's like, yeah, I'm buddies with Brad. And I know that you're the ghost runner. And I told him my name. He's like, sorry, tell me one more time. What is your name? I was like, it's Jake. He's like, yeah, I'm buddies with Brad. And I know that you're the ghost. And I told him my name.
Starting point is 00:16:26 He's like, sorry, tell me one more time. What is your name? I was like, it's Jake. He's like, all right, got it, got it, got it. All right, Jake, ghost artist guy. And anyway, we had a really good conversation. I would love to talk to him a lot more, but it was so, so hot out.
Starting point is 00:16:37 But yeah, his name is Bo. And he's in like the table setters, like the little fatherhood business group with you. He is so cool. He's awesome. Yeah, he is awesome. Bo Toonberg? No.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Oh, okay. Christian Jones adjacent. Bo Toonberg. Does it sound like a real name? That sounds so funny. It looked like it's T-U-N-berg. And so for the longest time, it was Tunberg. Tunberg.
Starting point is 00:16:56 To all of us. Yeah. And then one time he's introduced himself to one of the guys, Bo Toonberg. And we all just like stopped like, whoa. You know, can you imagine like you just been pronouncing something wrong? Yeah. So maybe it's been bread this whole time.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Yeah. Bread Ellis. Yeah. Bo Tunberg. It sounds like someone in Andy Griffith. You should connect with him. Timon. He's a multimedia.
Starting point is 00:17:15 He does like a lot of, yeah. Video stuff. Cool. I think it's all video actually, but always looking for contractors. Sweet. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:24 We did. We had fun talking about that just uh video stuff and photo stuff and anyway he was awesome so um more about this exchange or this like time yesterday so i was on the phone before then with uh jugglin josh josh horton we hadn't connected in forever wow and he just wanted to catch up what's the latest with him? He was just kind of catching up and asking about, he was really curious about Friday Pickleball and how it's working and kind of e-commerce,
Starting point is 00:17:52 direct-to-consumer stuff. And he always kind of caught up and talked content for a little bit, which is fun. Yeah. So we talked for probably like 45 minutes, get off the phone with him, talk to Bo briefly, and then I go into Summer Moon Coffee Shop, Rachel's favorite coffee shop besides Macy Roasters um and local Macy Roasters north
Starting point is 00:18:10 southwest yep and go in there and as soon as I pretty much walk in there I sit down and this family comes over and Rachel is closer to them so So they're kind of addressing Rachel. This mom like looks to Rachel and says, see you boomerang YouTuber. And Rachel is like, yes. What did you say? Yeah, I know, right? It was kind of like, what? And Rachel's like, yes.
Starting point is 00:18:34 And she's like, oh my gosh. You know, their son is like, I told you that was him, mom. And she's like, I'm sorry. He just loves your boomerang YouTube videos. Boomerang. And I go, oh, sorry? Like you teach how to throw boomerangs.
Starting point is 00:18:50 And I was like, oh my gosh. Okay, this is funny. I do make YouTube videos full time, but not boomerangs. That's funny. He's like, oh, well, I think he loves you. So anyway, you guys have a good day. We'll see you later.
Starting point is 00:19:06 You're like too deep into it to be like, nah, maybe you're a different guy. And Rachel's just like, I'm sorry. I didn't know she said boomerang. I just heard YouTube. And I was like, I don't know what that was either. So I'm pretty sure I know who they're talking about because Jugglin Josh and I collabed
Starting point is 00:19:19 with a boomerang YouTuber for World Record Wednesdays back in 2017. Okay. His name's Logan Broadbentbent okay and he's like does he look like it's kind of like juggler josh there's really only like one guy doing it you know so he is the boomerang guy so he's been on like wired magazine's youtube channel and he's been on like get us book of world records and yeah we filmed like a he's been on dude perfect i think okay dude perfect channel a time or two so mean, I guess we look like we have fair skin
Starting point is 00:19:46 and like are white. But you guys were in the same video together at one point. Yes? Yes. Yeah, we did one video together in 2017. Yeah, I'm guessing this kid has probably seen him on Dude Perfect or something. Yeah, there he is with Dude Perfect.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Anyway, yeah, I just couldn't believe, I like, you know, I just get off the phone, talk about Josh, like, hey man, that was great. Send him like a follow I just couldn't believe I like, you know, I just get off the phone, talk about Josh. Like, Hey man, that was great. Send him like a followup text. And then like one more thing. I just got confused for Logan Broadbent.
Starting point is 00:20:10 When's the last time you heard that guy's name? And the fact that it happened five minutes after we got off the phone with each other. What are the odds? Yeah. It was so funny. Are you the boomerang YouTuber? Yep.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Yep. He is. Ask him anything. Guilty. Yeah. He's got, he's got his ring right in the back. Or should I say, good day, mate?
Starting point is 00:20:28 Oh, man. So it was a fun 10 minutes. Yeah, right. A lot of different things going on. It was exhilarating. It's moon. I think that you could be a boomerang YouTuber if you wanted to be. A boomerang is pretty fun to throw.
Starting point is 00:20:40 And they actually do work. I kind of thought they were a myth back in the day. I was like, how can you throw something and it come back but the australians they have figured out a way is logan australian no but i thought boomerangs were i think they are oh sorry sorry i was like i may have that wrong no no i feel like i've been australia it's got to be right it's got to be an australian thing i feel like you hear about them over there a lot yeah digital dues boomerangs they got more room and yeah i think they from what i understand like the the bush people like the aborigines used to like use this to kill like kangaroos and dingoes oh it was a
Starting point is 00:21:14 weapon yeah it was a weapon and then that was the point though it's like if you missed comes right back no problem i got you again dingo yeah yeah i was gonna ask like how does it come back after you you take out a thing i was like that'd be an interesting boomerang kangaroo comes back to you it just drags the kangaroo back to you effective and strong boomerang the five laws of physics it's like they didn't have enough dogs where they had boomerangs to retrieve things yeah um yeah only if you missed but i understand it would be so frustrating to learn boomerangs because the first couple times you chuck it Yeah, I got a car. It's like it's like I walk 60 yards. It's like because you're not committing to it All right, so you write rare up throw that thing and then it just goes a hundred yards and just falls
Starting point is 00:22:00 Okay, I'll go get this I'm sure the video is still out there. Feel free to, you know, look up Josh Horton boomerang. And I bet you could find a video we made way back today of us just like, honestly, I don't even know if we. I'll look it up. We might've done a video without it where we just like went and bought boomerangs from Amazon. It was just like, let's see who can get good faster. I remember being in a field wide open and just like you would get like one of those plastics ones it was like a kite you get up high enough in the air and then the wind would just take it 200 yards and you're just like oh that's at least we're filming it and it's funny but this sucks let's see here i vaguely recall seeing at least one boomerang video you were involved in
Starting point is 00:22:38 i know josh i did one together i think it was a part of nice drone shot right now it's just you and josh and this one what do you think you're wearing? That's always fun. It's maroon on my body. It's not this time, actually. Long gray shorts. I can't see the bottom of you yet. I'm really excited to.
Starting point is 00:22:55 It's honestly not that wild this time. It's a Navy quarter zip. What brand? Oh, Under Armour. Were you guys sponsored by them? No. Because he was also in an underarm like very similar really how about that and then you have a v-neck undershirt gray v-neck
Starting point is 00:23:12 underneath what a dork v-necks were a great trend back the day dude yeah it's funny i was in front of the camera every day and i just still didn't care for years of my life. Oh, there's your shorts, gray shorts, long grays, long grays with the white stripe down. Wow. Yeah. I think those were air postal brand. Maybe so fun fact. Um, yeah, fun times. Oh yeah. Now you took off the quarter zip and you got the V-neck with the pocket on the side. I know exactly what shirt is. It's a black pocket, but it's kind of a head pocket. It's just a regular old pocket, but it's got like a second little Oh, that shirt.
Starting point is 00:23:50 All right. Okay, that's not bad. Not bad. Nice non branded shirt, right? You were thinking about it. Yeah, boomerangs are fun. I will say the wooden ones are the nice ones, but when they come back, it hurts to catch. It's like a heavy frisbee or something. Yeah, you need like gloves, like fighting gloves or something. Lin lineman gloves you know what i was always curious
Starting point is 00:24:08 about i want those like um speed skating gloves apollo antono you know he looks like a uh toe like a frog or something remember those gloves they got the little balls on the end and they put their hand down yep i want those and i want to skate with them i always thought those look cool yeah like i just thought he looked so cool. Like Spider-Man or something, like gliding across the ice with his glove on. They are cool. I like the idea of you just owning gloves
Starting point is 00:24:33 that have a very specific purpose and just wearing them in general. Like, ooh, it's cold out. Just wearing those gloves. Got my speed skating gloves. Right. Anyway, that was a funny thing last time. Juggling Jay.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Yep. Bo. Bo Toonberg. What's his name? Toonberg. Toonberg. Yeah. And then Boomerang YouTuber.
Starting point is 00:24:52 So it was a good time. Jake, I've done something I've never done before in my life yesterday. You ordered a chocolate Coke from Sonic. Oh, how is that? Not good. Okay. I could think of things better. And one of them is Main Street Roasters coffee. Oh, I didn't even know that's what you were going to talk about.
Starting point is 00:25:09 I was at a coffee shop the other day and yesterday, and I felt like I needed to patronize the coffee shop because I was using their wifi. I did the same thing. And so I ordered this cold brew, just a straight up cold brew. And they say that'll be $6 and 38 cents. And I was shocked. Show me that cold brew. I was like, what? And so I've done, I've never done this before. I said, nevermind. And I went back and sat down, use their wifi and got out of there. You know why I felt that way is because now I'm comparing everything to mainstream roasters beans. And I thought I can have a whole big old bag of beans for 13.99 at mainstreerocers.com 13.99 that's too much because we get 10 off with grkc that that not so fast so so how would you
Starting point is 00:25:56 like to pay 139 12 60 yeah for that exact same bag of beans. And you can get so many, so many glasses of cold brew with that. Now slowly open your eyes. Sounds like a pretty good deal, doesn't it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it does. Yeah. So.
Starting point is 00:26:14 So, I don't know. Check it out. MSRB. Mr. Mrs. B. Almost. Yeah. Main Street Roasters beans.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Mrs. B. Almost. Almost. I messed up a bit that would just be mrs b i'm talking about mr b everyone loves coffee whether it's for you for somebody else it's a great gift go to maestro.com support the wonderful people in napania indiana whether you're a mister or a misser you're gonna love it all right get yourself some beans grkc's promo code thanks and then got to Summer Moon. It was planning to get some work done, and Scott Peck
Starting point is 00:26:47 called me. He just wanted to catch up. Okay. Talked for like 35 minutes on the phone. Nice. He was in an airport, and he had his AirPods in. I didn't say anything until the very end, but I should have very early on said, can you take me off your AirPods? Because I could hear every announcement and every
Starting point is 00:27:04 other phone call in that really airport. Yeah, that bad. So just heads up. You're in a loud environment. AirPods are not a good way to talk on the phone. I wish there was a way for audio to be sent to you via AirPods, but hold up and use the microphone. That's a good idea because it's easy. It's harder to hear sometimes when you don't have your AirPods in, in the airport. But I would like, yeah. Audio to be an inch away or yeah. Voice recording to be an inch away rather than all the way back in my ear. And now that I'm thinking about it, I'm pretty sure that's what the corded ones that come free with the phone, you know, could do for you. Those are nice. Yeah. Catherine's big corded headphones girl. Oh yeah. Because, well, first of all,
Starting point is 00:27:43 she's just so simple. I think she great plugs in. She's like, Oh, how do I connect these? I don't know. And also I think she's like worried about the, the waves of the Bluetooth stuff or whatever. Did Catherine tell you about 1130 last night in the street?
Starting point is 00:27:56 I taught her how to voice memo. No, we met up in the street last night. I did hear. She's like, uh, I went, I went live on Instagram last night.
Starting point is 00:28:03 I was like, you did. She's like, not really. And then she explained a little bit, but tell me more. Yeah. I, hear, she's like, I went live on Instagram last night. I was like, you did? She's like, not really. And then she explained a little bit, but tell me more. Yeah, I went on like a 10, 30 mile run. And so I went live to pass the time. And as soon as I got done, I'm talking to the camera. I'm so sweaty.
Starting point is 00:28:19 I'm so wet and disgusting right now. And then all of a sudden, there's like a guy on the street, only a silhouette. I was like, I hope this is Brad or Catherine. And it wasn't. Freaked me out for a little bit. Sorry. But then next thing in the chat, Catherine's like, tell Rachel to wave. So I went in and got Rachel and then we all just met up. Whatever. It was fun. But then on the live, she's talking
Starting point is 00:28:36 about how she doesn't know how to, she can't figure out how to hold her thumb down, not hold her thumb down. So taught her. These days, you only have to hold, she needs to update her iOS. Well, that's the thing she was working on old ios so i showed her how to like slide your thumb down then you can release it yeah okay but new ios can we talk about this real quick and maybe you guys can say well this is how you do it brad old ios you hold down for the voice memo and you can scroll or like it'll open up the
Starting point is 00:29:00 like audio file for the voice memo do you know how to do that on a new one? No. Or wait, what do you mean by open up the audio file? Like, let's say I listen to 30 seconds of it and I instinctively lock my phone and it turns off the voice message text that we got. How do I then go back to that 30 seconds or whatever? I want to be able to scroll. You showed me that one time. You can just hold it down with your finger,
Starting point is 00:29:28 and it'll open up the voice memo, and you can scroll to wherever you want to go. I can't figure out how to do that anymore. I feel like you can just scroll within the actual voice memo these days. Darn it. You don't have to go anywhere else. Of course.
Starting point is 00:29:38 It's too simple. Yeah, you could do it within iMessage. All right, let me see. Of course, face ID not working. Is this not my face? Oh my gosh, you could scroll. Yeah, you could scroll within it. I feel like a dingus, dude. My sister sent me like a seven and a half minute voice memo this morning, and I was to five minutes of it, and then my phone like automatically turned you know locked after five minutes i'm
Starting point is 00:30:05 sorry and then i so i went back and tried to do it again same thing happened i was like those last two and a half minutes are just gone they're gone sorry dana i doubt they're that important so now you can scroll okay thank you i was i was trying everything i was swiping from every direction i was holding it upside down for a little bit yeah like. Like there was like, if you kind of hold it and like drag it, there's like a plus sign. I was like, how do I get it up? Plus sign plus dragon. So you can't just like let go and plus, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:33 anyway, thank you, Jake. No problem. Thanks. Hey, time. It's back time and give us a little update. How's back here at Bible camp? How's Illinois? It was great. How was barbecue wings a couple weeks ago? Tell us anything. Both things were awesome. Yeah, it was like just a bunch of nonstop doing stuff. It was like, yeah, missed the last day of backyard Bible club just to drive to Illinois for like, so basically the reason we went to Illinois was like the four oldest of us kids were asked, invited to
Starting point is 00:31:01 like seeing at this church thing. Oh yeah. Uh And so, yeah, we drove out, did that, and then made it a little trip with our cousins and stuff. I got so many questions. Go ahead. I'm ready. First of all, I was telling Catherine, yeah, Tymon couldn't make it because of his backyard Bible club. Is that your problem?
Starting point is 00:31:20 Yeah. And I was like, yeah, how'd you know that? She's like, because he's homeschooled, and I was homeschooled, and I know what that is. I don't know what that is. So, like, yeah, how'd you know that? She's like, cause he's homeschooled. And I was homeschooled and I know what that is. Can you, I don't know what that is. So like literal backyard. So literal Bible. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Literal club. ESV. No. So it's this specifically, I don't know how it's all structured, like in general for other people, but like, this is a green leaf thing. Okay. And it's just like a bunch of teens volunteer they're split into like uh three different groups okay in each group goes to
Starting point is 00:31:50 like two or three different uh locations throughout the week like every day and so um we had two locations but it's basically yeah you just go to like a backyard invite a bunch of like kids like previously and like cool um in the past if we do it in sort of like uh more apartment complex areas we had to like kind of canvas and like invite some people um but yeah it's just like a bunch of kids and then you do like a bible skit um like a vbs verses and songs stuff like that and then you just like we do some like buddy time or you partner uh okay one-on-one or like smaller groups with the kids talk about the stories and stuff um and then play games and stuff then move on to the next club cool yeah that's pretty fun how was your group great group good group such a good i think we had no offense we
Starting point is 00:32:33 had the best group i think i think if you're listening you're from another group no offense but you guys were worse they're not as fun and i'm so glad i wasn't with you no we had a solid group though how do they how do they decide groups? Like age, gender, just random? You know, you came from this house, you're this guy's brother. It might start out as pretty random, then it's like you fine tune, like, okay, this would work better for,
Starting point is 00:32:54 like have, oh, there's like only this many guys, let's spread them out evenly. They're all Sopranos. Yeah. Greenleaf. Yeah, so like what kind of, what kind of like age range are we talking? Like 13 to 18.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Okay, older. And then well, no, no. Like you're talking about the kids at the clubs are like younger kids. Kids are younger. Oh, I see. We are 13 performing things for and talking to and like there. Yeah, three to 12. So what kind of role you were telling you were like a counselor?
Starting point is 00:33:22 Did you do any skits or anything? Oh, yeah. Give us, give us, give us, give us, I will say what crushed, what was the best one?
Starting point is 00:33:28 Uh, since I had to leave the last day, I couldn't be like a major recurring. Oh, you guys were doing like a, like a dramatization as well. Well, of course you were your green leaf.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Yeah. Yeah. Uh, yeah, it was like, I mean the, the stories were like, uh,
Starting point is 00:33:44 stories from Mark and it was like, you know, the stories were like stories from Mark. And it was like, you know, all the just several like stories of Jesus' miracles. And so, you know, you'd have like their regular John, Peter, those kind of people. But yeah, I was, who was I? First day I was the, oh, I was the priest that walked by the Good Samaritan. I had one line or walked by the like person dying on the road. The person who needed a good small role, but people liked it.
Starting point is 00:34:09 What was your line to the guy who needed help? Oh, what was it? It was like one word. Yeah, it's like I think I was supposed to be like you. Yeah. I think I'm walking along like, oh, what a beautiful day. The sun is shining. The birds are chirping off to the temple. I go then I like like stumble over. I'm like, I'm walking along like, oh, what a beautiful day. The sun is shining.
Starting point is 00:34:25 The birds are chirping. Off to the temple I go. Then I stumble over. I'm like, yeah, what a beautiful sight. And I'm like, oh, that is not a beautiful sight or something like that. Got him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Roasted.
Starting point is 00:34:35 Ew. Ew. Gross. I think I let out an ew a couple times. Yeah. Fun. That's fun. What other roles do you have um i was uh gyrus the dad of the like daughter who was
Starting point is 00:34:48 like who sick and like died on their way back and then jesus brought her back to life that was fun more of an emotional uh i mean it wasn't like that crazy but yeah and then was that it that might have been it because then i left the fourth day. Yeah. Yeah. That's cool, man. That's great. That sounds really, that sounds really fun. Yeah. It was, it was awesome. Cool. It's a lot easier to imagine now. I didn't really know what backyard Bible club meant, but now, I mean, I literally, I've been to time in his house now. So I literally, I was imagining like their trampoline and their playground time. And when I left his grad party, they were all playing cornhole. So I was was like they're probably just all throwing cornhole in the backyard going at verses back and forth and genesis exodus leviticus just yeah the whole week yeah no man that's great yeah it was fun and then friday morning
Starting point is 00:35:37 drove to illinois and did the singing thing which was fun right yeah what was that so just like uh so my mom was originally from uh gridley illinois and so then like she has some connections there and so they were just like they knew that we sang it was like i mean it was like each night of the dbs for the adults while they're while the kids are like doing their thing they're like they're like like speaker come and then like a group sing okay we were just like the friday night oh so like you four were the only four singing yeah oh cool it's pretty fun you were like coming in like yeah we got these out-of-towners from out of town and from a big city uh-huh yeah cool man we're the ims quartet that's what that's what they
Starting point is 00:36:15 call us in the program really yeah it's kind of funny it makes sense yeah acapella yeah all the way oh yeah any like acapella but a little bit like no beatboxing no there was one pentatonic style yeah there was one song that probably could have kind of had that it was just more of like a upbeat like old style yeah kind of thing that's fun but yeah cool and uh i don't want to spoil, but you had somebody recognize you there. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It was. And I knew they would be there. It was like somebody kind of like a sister of my mom's childhood friend, like there. Okay. Who listened to before I was on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:36:56 Oh, wow. When I came on was like something I said about like a church trip was like, that sounds like my sister's church or like, I don't know. But yeah. And so she drove like 40 minutes to wow come see it that's awesome that's so fun it's fun so cool here comes the trickle down it's happening trickle down time and yeah cool man yeah and then spent a couple like spent the weekend with my cousins after that playing pickleball doing random stuff and We met his cousins. Andrew. Trevor. I think I thought his name was Trevor.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Did you name Trevor? Andrew. I was like, close. Dang it. Right there. How do stop losses work on Kraken? Let's say I have a birthday party on Wednesday night, but an important meeting Thursday morning. So Sensible Me pre-books a

Starting point is 00:38:38 Glad you're back. Pickleball just reminded me, we saw this guy, Rachel and I went to church and we were waiting on Steve and Angie coop to get there they got stuck behind a train and so we had like which is funny because they're out we went there what there were no trains so how they get stuck behind a train we went to the crossroads there's no train between well I don't know what route they went but they got some guy to train so we like five minutes we're in the lobby talking is it just whoever in the sky I've never met met before comes up and it's me and rachel
Starting point is 00:39:08 and a friend of mine and then this guy and i think my friend says something like we got to get on the pickleball court or something and um i was like oh yeah that'd be fun uh and then the guy we don't know just like i don't know where it's like i hate pickleball and so we're kind of just like oh okay you know uh how come and rachel's like are you tennis player you know i'm like oh that's probably sure yes and he's like no uh never played tennis never even played pickleball it just just can't stand it wow and so i'm like i'm not gonna like say anything to this guy but this is so so interesting to like have such a strong going to like say anything to this guy, but this is so, so interesting to like have such a strong opinion. My grandma lives in Roland park and it is so loud
Starting point is 00:39:50 over there. She's complained so many times across the street. There were, there was no reason it was. I was like, maybe I don't even really know what's happening. This isn't a super intelligent conversation. He's like, it's just, everybody's, everybody's into it. Everybody's talking about it. I can't stand it. And then Rachel says, she said something kind of funny. She's like, oh, it's too inclusive. You're like, it's kind of woke. Everybody's allowed.
Starting point is 00:40:13 And so I was like, that was kind of funny. Good one, Rachel. And then he was like, I don't actually hate pickleball. I mean, I don't like it, but it's a of a uh stand-up comedic bit that i do about hating pickleball boy was it good you should have said like gosh you should take that one to letterman oh my gosh can i get can you just do it one more time go on johnny carson with that one brother wow and he's like it's just kind of a stand-up comedic bit i do about hating pickleball and yeah we just go on to talk for a little bit later and then
Starting point is 00:40:45 he leaves and Rachel said two funny things once she was like that was the worst conversation someone could have had with you personally it's just like hating pickleball and almost making a mockery of stand-up comedy and she's like in two I was the only one who said anything funny
Starting point is 00:41:00 I said was funnier than anything he said it was really funny she's like dude what are you so fired up about? It's a, it's just never fun to be just, just don't, if you don't like something, just keep it to yourself. Unless it's like you have some moral objection to it. Maybe, maybe like think about even that, like most of the time it's just like, just the conversation is not going to be about pickleball for 30 minutes. I bet we were planning on moving past this in 10 seconds. Just fine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:29 And it's like, it's 9 a.m. It's a beautiful Sunday. The vibes are an all-time high. Don't say you hate anything. It's just really- Unless it's the devil. Yeah. It's just really uncomfortable to just say, oh, that thing that you said you like, couldn't
Starting point is 00:41:43 hate it more. Yeah. I think it was right after we said like we met playing pickleball. I would never. Yeah. It's like, okay. Like, like what's the,
Starting point is 00:41:55 what's the best case scenario for how people are going to react to that? Yeah. What is he getting in the past when he does his standup comedy bit about hating pickleball? How do people normally respond? That is hilarious. How much you dislike something.
Starting point is 00:42:08 All right. Like I'm just trying to think about like any, I can't think of anything really that adjacent in my life, but like, there's gotta be something out there that I'm like, I don't really want to talk about this, but sure we can, I'll listen to it for five minutes. But if we're about to go into church anyway, I can stand it for two minutes. 100%. Fishing. Okay. Don't really want to talk about fishing for more than five minutes.
Starting point is 00:42:31 Yeah. Fishing, hunting, NASCAR. I can entertain it. Great. Three trifectas. I have enjoyed hunting a little more. I have something to contribute to the hunting conversation. Yeah. NASCAR is another one. I'm like F1. People real into F1 right now. But like, yeah, NASCAR is another one. I'm like, F1. People real into F1 right now.
Starting point is 00:42:50 I've never ranted and been like, guys, can we cool it on the F1? Shut up. It stinks. It's like, oh, you watched it and you care about it? It's like, I have no knowledge of it. That's what this guy basically said. He's like, I don't have any reason to dislike pickleball we're like halfway making plans like two we got to get the pickleball i would never be me
Starting point is 00:43:10 gross gross oh my god you guys do something else oh i would never do it oh golly and i never have nope and i don't have a reason never will just comedy guys it's just comedy there's a camera there's a camera it's just a prank yeah sorry for splitting your sides right before church but that's just what i do i know it's funny all right you guys taking left side or right side today that's my time i see the countdown timers right there have a good week guys thank you yeah thank you crossroads campus hope you don't get stuck on a train on the way back. See you guys. All right. See you guys.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Oh, golly. Yeah, it was a fun one-two punch of like he insulted one of my careers and then I, in a way, insulted the other one of my careers. I obviously wasn't offended. I was like, wow, glad I don't treat people that way. Oh, man. So funny, dude. But it's all good. It's all good.
Starting point is 00:44:07 All good, man. Let's talk about playing some basketball together we're back that's a great call yeah let's talk basketball so we had a double header this past sunday sunday nights or when we're playing this this year and uh had a 7 8 p.m um i didn't i wasn't worried about the double header necessarily because to me so much of like being like playing sports is getting your body warmed up and once your body's warmed up you're kind of good um i was wrong about that especially especially when like we kind of started falling like flies so first game we we did all right first game uh away, there was a big Gene Shorts fan. That's right.
Starting point is 00:44:47 On the other team. Brennan. Yeah, I'm always curious. Is this guy actually Gene Shorts, or does this guy know Jake from the 18 other things Jake does? And it's like, well, there's another guy here that does stuff too. It's like, yeah, I'm totally a fan of you too, man. Oh my gosh, dude.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Totally, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no, get in the picture. I was planning on you being in the picture. Exactly. No, he was really great. I, yeah, we kind of guard each other most of the game and we had fun. There was a couple of things that happened that game. One, I think, I'm pretty sure it was still in this first game.
Starting point is 00:45:20 So we haven't even started a second one yet, but we call it timeout. I believe, maybe it was halftime or something it was halftime you know what i'm about to say oh yeah and um oh yeah like we're we're like all right who wants to sit out and then like we kind of look over peter's not looking too great peter how you doing i just threw up like what you just threw up when when did you just throw up i just went to the bathroom just now and threw up. Like, when did, how does this always happen? You're so sneaky. He even said, he's like, yeah, there's a trash can right there,
Starting point is 00:45:50 but somebody else already threw it up there, so I made it to the bathroom, luckily. Like, what? Yeah, taco-naco was a bad idea right beforehand. He just, yeah, we'd only played half a game, and we had six people i guess and this team we're playing against wasn't anything special i couldn't believe that he was to the verge of throwing up already you see peter you look at the six of us you would think out of all people
Starting point is 00:46:16 which one's the guy that threw up it's like well it's not that guy that guy i mean he's in shape like maybe it's a big guy i don't know like whatever like peter does it does not make sense how easily like i don't know he's just so skinny to be out of shape like that yes that was really funny that really cracked us up alabama arkansas california colorado connecticut alabama alabama alaska arkansas california colorado connecticut delaware florida georgia hawaii idaho illinois indiana iowa kansas kentucky louisiana man Maryland Massachusetts Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota,

And then the other like really noteworthy thing that happened. So like always, these refs are getting paid probably close to minimum wage.
Starting point is 00:48:35 I don't know, 10 bucks a game or something. And so they're always pretty bad. It's like these two refs were just so inconsistent that it really depended on who was like down there and depending on what kind of calls you were going to get. What side are you going on? This one ref would call everything. This one ref would barely make it down to your side of the court
Starting point is 00:48:53 and would just call nothing. So it just created some tension. But the person who was the worst at his job was the scorekeeper. And we've never had a bad scorekeeper, really, because it's like a trained monkey could do it. I feel like it is not a hard job. And usually they're pretty sharp though. And that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:49:11 Like it's not a hard job and maybe I've taken it for granted, but I feel like everyone has always just like done the job. You stop the clock when it's time to stop it. You keep track of scores. You're only two jobs, which maybe we should have known right away that this was not going to be a good night because we've probably had five possessions. We've been, this game has been played for a while.
Starting point is 00:49:28 I'm taking the ball down the court and they blow the whistle, blowing the whistle, look over, only 30 seconds have got off the clock. At some point he just stopped it. I was like, that's good. Well, no, and the buzzer went off too. That's what it was.
Starting point is 00:49:39 Yeah, the buzzer was going on. Oh, 30 second warning. Yep, they do that. We've been going 30 seconds. Anyway, he was interesting. And Glide picked up on this very early on. He was like, I think they're giving points to the wrong team. He did, and I didn't believe him at first.
Starting point is 00:49:54 He's like, how are we only up by four? I was like, I know, it's crazy. I mean, three points more than two. I guess that's how it works. Come back. Yeah, I kind of was like, I don't know. I just didn't have any proof. I was like, yeah, I don't know. I just didn't have any proof. I was like, yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:50:05 I think we just haven't made some shots in a while. And Glyde was like, I just really feel like we should be up by more than this. And I got to say, in hindsight, he was probably right because they continued to make so many errors. And we had to stop the game, I mean, maybe close to 10 times because he kept getting the score wrong. It was probably 10 times, yeah. I mean, and we had him, and it's probably 10 times yeah i mean and we had him and it's maybe 10 times between both games because we had him yeah multiple times and there was a
Starting point is 00:50:30 time where we made a three and i saw him give us two and so i was like okay next time down the court i'm gonna say something i forget about it i make two free throws and he gives us three so i was like well i guess it's even really yes it happened in the second game He's like, I'm just not feeling touching it one more time for three. So I'll just do it next time. I owe you guys one. Yeah. So he was very interesting. Just kept getting stuff wrong.
Starting point is 00:50:54 I will say the second game, a few times he gave us points instead of them. Kept my mouth shut. Let it slide. I was like, okay. I was like, that's penance. It's crazy how bad he was. But I say all that to set up. We've got, I don't know, 45 seconds left in the game.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Is this about how you remember it? And the other team has the ball. They're down by four. They have a chance to come down the court. Any basket they make makes it a one possession game. All of a sudden, we got a real ball game on our hands. to come down the court. Any basket they make makes it a one-possession game. All of a sudden, we got a real ball game on our hands. They come down. Dre tried to do this pick and roll.
Starting point is 00:51:30 The guy doesn't roll. He just throws it right to Isaac. Isaac passes it to me. I get fouled. All right, great. I'm going to the line. Then we look. Hey, hey, hey.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Clock never started. Clock never started. Classic. This guy has not gotten anything right all day. And that was like the second or third time the clock hadn't started. Or no, no, no. Under two minutes minutes the clock stops every time they blow the whistle and he wasn't stopping the clock so it's like the third time in a row that we've had issues with the clock either starting or stopping correct it was getting bad and you know you kind of feel bad
Starting point is 00:51:58 for this guy but also just like just just start and stop it when you're supposed to it's easy yeah yeah it's not like people are like, they started it a half second too early. We're not checking that hard. Yeah, it's like 25 seconds I've gone by. So I just am still walking to the free throw line assuming these refs are going to talk and be like, all right, let's take 12 seconds off the clock.
Starting point is 00:52:21 Sure. Even if they gave us, even if they said it only took five, like, let's be conservative. Okay, no problem. Whatever. You guys figure out how much time you need to take off. They talk for a little bit. They say, all right, blue ball going this way. Blue is the other team.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Like, whoa, no, hold on. They had a possession. We stole the ball from them. We're shooting free throws. And we're only up by four points. Yeah, it's four points. We're probably up by like nine, actually, but we're up by four on the scorecard. And they're like, nope, blue gets the ball back. Yeah. And we're like, I know it's KC crew,
Starting point is 00:52:49 but I don't think they should get the ball back. It doesn't seem right. They had a clean possession. Do over. Like if they would have sunk a three right there, would we have just, and the clock wasn't running, would they have done the same thing? No way.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Those people would have lost it. You know? Yeah. It was very interesting decision making of course like we kind of want to complain but it's like whatever just comical casey crew yeah this whole game has been hilarious and um so yeah they just got the ball back with another chance to score and i think they they didn't score again and no yeah we yeah luckily they bricked another three and did the same. I think you got the rebound again. I think it was like the same scenario, I think. You nailed your free throws and got out of there. I airballed one, made all the rest.
Starting point is 00:53:35 I forgot that you airballed that one. I went like nine for 10, and the one miss was pretty rough. It was just, yeah, it was off big time. It was real bad. In front of a fan, too. Oh, Brennan, I'm sorry. Oh, Brennan. Yeah, it was off big time. It was real bad. In front of a fan, too. Oh, Brennan, I'm sorry. Oh, Brennan. Yeah, that was so funny.
Starting point is 00:53:48 I couldn't believe the ball back. Also got kind of clobbered by Peter. Remember that? I didn't see it. I heard you guys talking about it. I didn't see it, though. Honestly, that might have been why Peter was throwing up. It's because he sprinted.
Starting point is 00:53:59 He got clobbered by Brennan. He did. He got clobbered a few times. But then there was one time they didn't call it on Peter. So Peter's like, all right, I'm just going to run down and like steal the ball from this guy. But just in the process, just swipe the heck out of his hand
Starting point is 00:54:14 and the rep to their credit didn't call either of them. Peter's like, I was trying to get a foul out of frustration. So these games are so funny. But yeah, then second then second game you know we're feeling all right uh and we look over at the team that we're playing and the team looks like all of timon's friends like a bunch of young kids with haircuts that we could never pull off yeah um and
Starting point is 00:54:38 it's just one of those things where like once you once you hit like 30s there's just there's just this intangible in shapeness that you do not have that kids right out of college have still six and a half minute miles these guys i i could have sprinted and i would not have kept up with them you know just jogging back they were athletic they were tall they were quick and they whooped us they were young yeah the only things i wrote down for the second game, and this was also part of the first game. I want you to explain it, though. I wrote down Brad wet ball. Golly, dude. I was so sweaty, dude.
Starting point is 00:55:10 I mean, that's where the whole I'm boiling came from is Hy-Vee Arena. Like, it's just hot in there in general. It is. It's been 90 plus degrees everywhere. It's all I'm just it's just humid and I need to bring five shirts next time because I was just so sweaty. I was trying to dry off my hands anytime I could,
Starting point is 00:55:26 but then my shorts get so wet that I can't even dry them off my shorts. Your wet signatures everywhere. Yeah, I have wet signature. And so they passed me the ball. I, for the sake of the team, I need to shoot it every time I get the ball. Cause if I ever pass it back to my teammate, it was hilarious. Like there was one time I passed it back to Isaac. Isaac catches the ball, like looks down at it,
Starting point is 00:55:44 kind of starts rotating to like, like trying to figure out why is it so wet? And he just looks back at me and I'm like shrugging my shoulder. I'm sorry. And he starts laughing. He's like, yeah, I didn't even like, I didn't even touch it to my stomach. Like sometimes I would, but like a lot of times it was just my hands were just that sweaty.
Starting point is 00:56:00 I can't believe you have, you play basketball with hands that wet. It's on, it's unfortunate. Yeah. Like if I ever miss a shot really bad, I'll be like, it slipped. And some people are like, yeah, sure it did. I'm like, no, seriously, my hands are soaking. I made nine of my 10 free throws. It's slipped. Yeah. It was so funny. It got to the point where I feel like every time someone would receive the ball for Brad, they were just like, look at the ball. Like, Oh yeah, dude. I know that should be like my main, like objective on defense is to just get a hand on the ball, get a hand on it.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Yeah. Yeah. So we were down by 25 at that point. So it was pretty funny. It was just comical. We, I didn't mind. We gave up pretty, pretty quick into the second half. And luckily the other team kind of recognized that and was also pretty
Starting point is 00:56:43 chill about it, you know? Yeah. but uh yeah it wasn't a pretty sight and i i do think though like we would have lost that game either way didn't matter whether or not it was doubleheader we lost but fun times it was hilarious like watching so so glide glide somebody asked is it glide is it glee glive yeah glive glideide his name is nathaniel glidewell uh glad got a blister on his foot so and was like super hurt from that you know we're all tired uh and so there was one point where i mean we just looked like old men out there like glad just like barely lifting up his foot as he's running down the field or running on the court like i just remember jake like they were passing a ball cross court and Jake kind of like lunged out
Starting point is 00:57:27 for it. But it was one of those things that was like, that did not look as athletic as we think, you know, I'm like walking down the court because it's so rough. I'm just like, we're just, we're just getting old.
Starting point is 00:57:38 We need to find a league. That's like a old man, maybe 30 and over. Yeah. We get Isaac. We get one, you get one underneath. It's like,
Starting point is 00:57:44 well, his back is 45 yeah he has 11 herniated discs so why don't we call it even um but anyway this i think it's good that we're in the rec league oh yeah let's talk about that before the game before the first game i don't even remember oh oh yeah about being good that we're in the rec league dude so we're warming up on this court that's just an open court we don't know if these people that are warming up with us are about to play us or about to go in the intermediate court.
Starting point is 00:58:07 By the way, three of them knew me. It was wild. Oh, really? Yeah. I saw the one guy talking to you. One of those where I don't know how he knows my name. He didn't mention like Jake from volleyball. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Jake from safe farm. But there's this one guy like getting laced up and everything. And I'm like looking around. I was like, I don't want to be like racist. But there's this one guy getting laced up and everything, and I'm looking around. I was like, I don't want to be racist. I'm like, that guy looks like he's important and a good basketball player. And I look more, I'm like, I'm pretty sure that's Kareem Rush, who, if you don't know Kareem Rush, played at University of Missouri,
Starting point is 00:58:43 Kansas City guy, ended up playing for the Lakers with Kobe Bryant, like played in the NBA. And this guy is like playing wreck. He's warming up with us. Warming up with us. And I'm like asking all my friends. I'm like, Peter, is that Kareem Rush? He's like, I don't know. I don't know what he looks like. Gly didn't know.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Gunner, who I thought would definitely know, Mizzou guy, whatever. I'm not sure. And so that I finally, I'm like, Jake, I point, I'm like, like I'm getting more and more common. That's cream rush. I'm like cream rush.
Starting point is 00:59:07 Right. And you look over it and you look back and you laugh. You're just like, good one. It does. I mean, yeah. Black left-handed.
Starting point is 00:59:13 Yeah. I was like, no, I think that's actually him. And so finally I just go, Hey, Kareem. And he looked over.
Starting point is 00:59:18 I was like, I told you. Yeah. I knew that was him. That was quite the reveal. Cause I was like, that is pretty funny, Brad.
Starting point is 00:59:24 Like it kind of looks like him and he's left-handed. Like that's, it looks, that's probably exactly like his build. That's funny the reveal. Because I was like, that is pretty funny, Brad. Like, it kind of looks like him. And he's left-handed. Like, that's probably exactly like his build. That's funny. That's a funny, like, connection. It's just actually him. And it was him. And he's still good at basketball.
Starting point is 00:59:33 And he's in the intermediate. He's not in the competitive league, even. Yeah. It's good that we're in the league we're in. Absolutely. So. Yeah. What's that like to play in the NBA? And then now you play KC Crew Intermediate?
Starting point is 00:59:47 I bet it's not that different. I don't have a clue how. Probably fun. Wasn't it? Oh, it was when we had Tate on our team. He's friends with Travis Relaford, who's D1. He played at KU. I bet he would just mop the floor with everybody without trying going 60%.
Starting point is 01:00:05 I would love to be able to mop the floor with anyone and anything. It'd be fun to be like an expert at something physically. Yeah. But would it be like, would it just feel like you're playing with sixth graders or something? Kind of like playing with sixth graders. This just in sixth grade or I'm bad. So yeah,
Starting point is 01:00:23 I forgot about Kareem. Yeah, that was wild. That's kind of fun. Um of fun um we'll see what i talk about uh you got it no i i want to talk about your experience on saturday oh yeah so uh yeah there's really no grand opening at site for bondi i actually got an email probably 10 minutes before we started recording that is like, well, I'll read you the bottom. Let me read you the last part of the email.
Starting point is 01:00:51 All right. I don't mean to be a buzzkill, but it's my job. So do you think that email was good news or bad? Just go ahead and throw a wet signature on that and get it back to me. So if you wouldn't mind just printing this off, licking it, send it back to me, that'd be great. I don't need to be a buzzkill, but it's my job.
Starting point is 01:01:11 So that's how the email ended. That's a fun thing to get right before you're supposed to record two podcasts, comedy podcasts, lighthearted, positive. Honestly, you know what? I said this on the live stream I did last night. I've already went through the five stages of grief with Bondi, and I'm full on accepting, like, who knows when this is going to open.
Starting point is 01:01:30 I'm good with it now. I feel like last week I was a bit deflated, just my personality in general, because I just take it a toll on me. But we're good now. You know what? I've already spent the money, spent the time. Whenever it opens, it opens. There you go.
Starting point is 01:01:42 March 2025, so be it. I love acai in March. Thank you. Watching spring break. Watching March Madness with a little granola in your spoon, boys. That's how we all grew up. Come on. That's how it's meant to be enjoyed.
Starting point is 01:01:56 Absolutely. I actually have no idea. I mean, it could be. No, hopefully it's not. In a month, two months. I don't know. But so I was like there i don't know i have the truck where the health department is you know approved of us we got the sales tax like i think i have for the most part what i need to at least keep me out of serious trouble let's open up my parents are in town rachel's parents are in town we got a little momentum here let's do it and uh yeah so we, we went up to the Grande Boo location,
Starting point is 01:02:25 Herman Laird Park here in Shawnee. And the only thing I didn't have was like a permit to operate in Shawnee, Kansas. But I was like, it's a couple hours in the park. Yep. I don't know how much trouble I could get in. I tried to look it up. It didn't seem like that much trouble.
Starting point is 01:02:38 We know people on the city council in Shawnee. So if you ever, if you ever need a, you know, I don't know what the, what the grease, grease the wheels. I don't know. Uh, yeah. So it's like, whatever. I'll just ask for forgiveness, not permission. I'm like, sorry, I'm a standup comedian. I don't even really know. That's why I hate pickleball. You have, you have five minutes. Can I do my, I hate pickleball thing. And so, yeah, we just kind of put out an instagram i'm sure you guys saw it but i was just like hey 11 a.m meet us there and it was uh the the two hours we were open was a success there's not a single thing i could point to and say it didn't work out well
Starting point is 01:03:14 like it was just like i think people were really happy we had quite the line like i was preparing for like 20 to 50 people and i think we gave out 105 spoons. Nice. And the only handful of people had just lemonades, just Powerballs. How many spoons we give out. Yeah. We figured we're like, that's probably the easiest way to know like how many people were here.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Real estate moguls are like, yeah, I have 55 doors. 55 doors. Like, yeah, we got 105 spoons. Gravels are going to open. Good, 500 spoons. Not bad for- Not bad.
Starting point is 01:03:42 Not bad for- One person dropped theirs on the ground. So yeah, you know know there's some uh some wastage there uh so yeah amazing turnout yeah i think half the people there were ghosty so you guys are so supportive thanks for always coming out it was fun like greeting people i was outside the truck with the ipad and if i didn't recognize people like how'd you end up here? Who are you? Which is fun. And so that was really fun. Gosh, man. I'm pretty uncomfortable with this next part.
Starting point is 01:04:12 Don't say anything you're going to regret, but please tell me what's on your mind. I'll tell you. I mean, I have five moles down there and it's all bad. I'm not uncomfortable with that. I'm saying I'm literally uncomfortable because I'm not in my cozy or sheets.
Starting point is 01:04:28 Sorry. Yeah. No, you're just reading from the script. No, keep going. Yeah. And the moles.
Starting point is 01:04:34 Oh, like quarter size, like huge things. I mean, just unbelievable. Yeah. Hailstorm. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:40 Like bruises. It is. It's like, it's like if you have ping pong ball size hail down there. Played sting pong. Oh, you left me moles. Thanks a lot, Scott. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:50 So they're... No, I'm just kidding. We're cozy. We're talking about cozy. It's about the moles mainly, but it's also... Kind of. It's because I'm uncomfortable because I'm not in my bed sheets right now. They are just...
Starting point is 01:05:03 I mean, I can talk about any of their products because we're such raving fans of it, but the bed sheets, especially this time of year, are probably the best thing to take advantage of. It really is. Because it's just a different material. It's just different than whatever you're probably expecting it to be. It's just really nice. It's Visco's for bamboo.
Starting point is 01:05:17 It's really special. It cools you off. It's just like it's really fun to hop into bed. It's so fun. And it's one of those things, yeah, that it's hard to explain it until you just to hop into bed. It's so fun. And it's one of those things. Yeah. That it's hard to explain it until you just try it. So try them out for yourself.
Starting point is 01:05:31 They do have a 10 year warranty on all their products. Yes. So if you don't love it, they understand and they'll take them back, but you're going to, because it's so comfortable. Yeah. Probably not going to come up. I wouldn't worry about it, but Hey, if it gives you a little peace of mind, cash in, do it. You can get 30% off by using the link down below.

Starting point is 01:06:32 as we're prepping everything, getting the truck ready, my faithful generator, my good generator that's worked the whole time, it goes out. No. No reason why. I'm like, no, you're the good one. You're like the model citizen. Everyone's trying to be like, no, you're the good one. You're like the model citizen. Everyone's trying to be like you. You're the ideal. You're the one I don't have to pull start. I love you. That one doesn't work.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Just shuts off. I can't get it to start. Nothing's working. And I don't know what to do. I am not a generator repair man. Yeah. I don't know how to fix a generator that won't even turn on. And you need both of them to operate.
Starting point is 01:07:03 Of course, I'm trying to problem solve. Like, is there a way to do this? Maybe we just need to blend everything right now or just run everything on one freezer, run the blender separate. Could we, you know, I was trying to figure this out. We just run things back and forth. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:16 Are there outlets there? Could we run just one blender like under the gazebo or something? Like, I'm just trying to problem solve everything. I'm like, maybe it could be the oil. Maybe it's the oil in here. You know, look at the gas. Gas gauge is half full. Okay, it's not gas. I'm like, I it could be the oil maybe it's oil and you're you know look at the gas gas gauge is half full okay it's not gas i'm like i've never changed the oil on a generator but i'll look up the owner's manual and you know of course it's already 90 degrees i'm
Starting point is 01:07:33 sweating oh my that drive to quick trip to get oil was was a valley for me it was a low point where i'm just like you know what you are the dumbest guy on earth. What are you doing doing all this? In the time you're going to quick trip and back, you probably sold 100 Friday pickleball paddles. You don't need this. You're so dumb for doing it. It's why you're adding so much stress to your life. That was a low point.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Not actual like super negative self-talk. Don't any counselors out there. I'm fine mentally um you're like married to rachel so you're like well just and i know some people are probably thinking and i am fine yeah but it was just one of those like you've added so much unneeded stress to your life dude just totally burn the whole thing just just set it on fire and never deal with it um then we get back and me and steve cooper kind of worked on He's like, why don't we add some gas to it anyway? And turns out
Starting point is 01:08:28 I think the gas gauge was just broken. It said it was half full. Gas gauges suck. And it was empty. It feels like that happens more often than not. I trusted him. I trusted he was half full. Turns out full empty. Full empty. So pretty easy fix. Just fill it with gas. I already had
Starting point is 01:08:43 gas in the little gas can. So that, then I was back. I was like, all right, 11 a.m. Herman Laird, we're doing it. The whole event goes well. Everyone's there. Hattie came twice. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:57 Hattie came once early, then you came later with Hattie. That was fun. So many ghosties. It was great. Our parents were so, so helpful. Right. Shout out to them. Beforehand, during, afterwards, our moms were in the truck making bowls. My dad's outside in charge of like giving menus to people, schmoozing people, trying to remember people's names, squatting. Squatting. Squatting by the tree. Doing his thing. And then afterwards,
Starting point is 01:09:21 it was really fun. We got done. cleaning up and then i take the i don't know half mile drive back to my house and some how some way uh on the drive back the generator stopped working so like well if it's gonna stop working at least it's like now sure and then couldn't get the generator um working after that again so it's just the finnick the one that was yeah problem earlier gas one yeah did you put gas in it? Yeah, it's got gas now. I know that's a stupid question, but interesting. So it's just always something. Can I give you a solution that you probably haven't thought of yet
Starting point is 01:09:55 that's probably the absolute right solution? Yeah. You got to put names on those generators. You got to give them names. Because right now they're just generators to you. Okay. But once you value them as one of your family, it's like a boat.
Starting point is 01:10:07 Bad luck did not have a name. I think so. It's so, but do you want to just go ahead and spontaneously name them right now? Um, mistake. Number one, mistake.
Starting point is 01:10:16 Number two. No, Jake. No, we need some affection. Thanks for them. Um, Charlie, Charlie is which one charlie's on the left charlie's the left one and can i go fungus or is that too mean that's mean okay give me a give me an old woman name
Starting point is 01:10:37 oh um let's do offense to you if your name is is this, but Alameda. Okay. Alameda. I don't think anybody else is going to Charlie and Alameda color Mita for short. Okay. Yeah. Charlie and Mita. I think so. And now all of a sudden it's like,
Starting point is 01:10:52 Charlie, Charlie, come on. Charlie's having some weird thing going on. I don't know what's going on with them, but we're going to, all of a sudden you love that. You love that generate a little more care for him a little more.
Starting point is 01:11:03 Steve, do you mind helping me with Charlie real quick? He's just being an income poop, all right? That's good advice. You know what I think the other solution is? Is just plug in and just don't use, don't have to rely on generators. That's the new kind of plan, I think.
Starting point is 01:11:21 I might have to move locations. I might be in a different parking lot. I think I just need to get somewhere where I can like plug in permanently How much power are you like do you need like if you had a normal outlet would it work? Or is it need to be 220 or whatever that is? Yeah, I need like 100 amp breaker. So it's like 250 amp plugs gotcha so It's a little bit to ask but not a ton to ask I just gotta get the right
Starting point is 01:11:43 You know, it's mainly like proximity to the breakers, like how expensive some of this stuff is. But anyway, I went driving around Prairie Village yesterday looking for other parking lots. Yeah. So I'm full on in acceptance mode. I guess this is fine. Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:57 You just move on. What do you do? You solve the next problem. Yeah. You just move on. I mean, most food trucks aren't, you know, stationary anyway. Profitable. Whatever term you prefer.
Starting point is 01:12:12 Most food trucks file for bankruptcy at some point. I mean, you're a stand-up comedian. You're looking for ways to fail to be more funny. It's relatable. You don't look at Ellen, look at Seinfeld. They got too successful. They can't relate to people. This is good. Oh, my gosh. That's so funny. No. What were you going to say? They're not,
Starting point is 01:12:28 um, they're not permanent. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They're not stationary. Oh yeah. And so therefore it's, I mean, it's possible to still have a successful business moving around, but you don't really want to do that. It's harder to do. I think that was my main takeaway. Like, even though Saturday went really well, like I think customers really happy, everything went well. It, it was like so much work to do that. Or I was like, I do not want to be, I don't want to operate like a typical food truck, right? I bounce around to different events and hauling stuff in and out prepping stuff. Either it's in our kitchen, which is definitely not something we want to do or a commissary kit. I just don't want to, I want to sit somewhere.
Starting point is 01:13:04 Yeah. And so move forward that plan. It'll be somewhere. Anybody in KC know of a good spot. Yeah. You know, of a good parking lot and a area that has a high median income and good visibility. I know Brad's driveway.
Starting point is 01:13:17 Maybe. Yeah. Oh, Oh, look at that text. Frick. Don't want to be a buzzkill, but at that text. Frick. Don't want to be a buzzkill, but... Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:13:29 We'll have to look at that later. Fun. Oh, man. How do I move on from that? So he did remember. Talk about later. Oh, my. That's fine.
Starting point is 01:13:44 It's fine. It's just Connor... Speaking of bankruptcy. Talk to later. Oh, my. That's fine. It's fine. It's just Connor. Speaking of bankruptcy. Talk to Connor. Give him Connor's number. We went golfing the other day. Yeah, we got more on the way. We got more on the way.
Starting point is 01:13:56 We're playing Friday together with Peter and our friend Sam Seavers. Yeah. And yeah, we played golf with Harrison and your dads. Yeah, my two gay uncles. Yeah, your dad and Steve Koop, which was a lot of fun. Yeah, it was. But what a fun crew. It was me and my dad versus Brad, Harrison Pollard, and Steve Koop.
Starting point is 01:14:14 And it was fun. You guys whooped us. Yeah, we played pretty well. We got a little lucky. It was just our day. Yeah. But yeah, it was fun. Did you have fun with that crew?
Starting point is 01:14:22 Oh, yeah. It was great. It was nine holes which i'm not saying i don't enjoy 18 but like nine is good enough where it's like i enjoyed that i might want to play like three more but like a lot of times by the time i'm you know playing 18 i'm like i'm kind of ready to be done with this yeah it feels like um normally like after nine holes nothing's gone terribly wrong yet. It's like, I should keep playing. And then by about the 13th hole, you're like, I'm kind of sucking.
Starting point is 01:14:48 I can't be done with this dude. Okay. Uh, sorry. A little bit of sidebar. Did you watch Josh Mayer's, uh, video with his friend who'd never played golf? Yes. What a great piece of content. I loved it.
Starting point is 01:14:57 I watched it last night and then all of a sudden I found myself watching a bunch of golf content. I was like, I think I like this stuff. What is this? What's going on with this? Uh, but yeah, he has this video with this guy who's never played before. Um, like literally had never been on, like played at a golf course. And I was like, I relate, I learned a bunch of stuff. I was like, Oh, that thing that they do with the golf club thing. That's what that's for. Anyway,
Starting point is 01:15:19 it was like taking a guy who's never golfed and trying to get him to make a par in one day. Yep. And, uh, it was just amazing. Like, because yeah, the first nine, he was doing all right. He was getting kind of close to getting a par, a couple of par putts and he missed them.
Starting point is 01:15:31 Yep. And, and then like, he's like, Josh was like, that ended up being, you know, the closest we were going to get.
Starting point is 01:15:37 It seemed like, cause all of a sudden, you know, he just went downhill and I was like that there is like fatigue to golf. Like people, you can get tired and all of a sudden your form is just a little off. And then it's just way bad because you're already bad at golf. You know? Yeah. I know it doesn't take a lot of physical exertion to golf, but think about trying to do anything for four hours and keep the same technique or
Starting point is 01:15:55 same form. I think that's probably hard to do. Yep. Even if you only had to shoot a basketball once every three minutes, but you do it for four hours. I think by the end, like your form would be a little off. I think that's what golf is to an extent. Yeah. A hundred percent. So is I just related to that part of it so much. Cause I, I saw it coming.
Starting point is 01:16:12 I was like, he's got it. He better be doing well. The first like six or seven holes. I got to get easy. Cause I know how much worse I am at the back nine. So yeah, that was a great piece of content. I texted Josh. I was like, this video is so good, dude.
Starting point is 01:16:24 And I'm glad it performed well for him too. He's crushed it lately. Yeah, he is which is awesome He texted me recently was like hey you have like an accountant you use and I was like, oh a couple videos doing well I think you need an accountant, huh? I was like, but yes, I have a stud. Let me get you his contacts. That's awesome I sent him Connor stuff cool But yeah, I'm excited. I I don't know what of content we want to get, whether it's just like Instagram story or maybe live stream or- Yeah. We film it, put it on Patreon later or something.
Starting point is 01:16:50 But yeah, it's a pretty like low stakes golf tournament. So, and then we're not going to win. So- Yeah, it's our church golf tournament. Hey, I'm not saying we're not going to win. We don't know the competition. We don't know- That's true.
Starting point is 01:16:59 Did you hear me and Peter talking about flights? Do you know how these work? I learned from my father-in-law the other day. Okay, great. So there's a, it's kind of bogus, but there is a chance we could win like the third flight. But then he's saying that once you win your flight, you can go and you play in the championship flight or whatever. Is that a thing? I don't know about that. I thought the tournament would just be over. So according to his, whatever he's played. Yeah. Everyone is in
Starting point is 01:17:21 their own flights based on skill. then oh okay i've done it like based on score like once it's over oh they determine the flight that's why i said it's kind of bogus it's like oh man we only shot three under today for a four-man scramble that's not very good well that's first place in the lowest flight like oh well that's 18th place all right which is first technically right yeah okay So you're saying like pre, before what's your handicap? Oh, okay. You're in this.
Starting point is 01:17:46 This is exactly. Yeah. And then that's the way to do it. And then like, yeah, the four best four teams that win quote unquote, the flights, then go and play a three hole,
Starting point is 01:17:54 like winter take. Oh, that's fun. Yeah. I would like that. Cause then all of a sudden you get hot, you know, you could,
Starting point is 01:18:00 you could technically win after flight three or whatever. You get hot. Yeah. Anyway. So yeah, it'll be fine. So it's me and Peter who are like good. You get hot. Yeah, anyway. Yeah, it'll be fun. So it's me and Peter who are like... Good. You guys are good.
Starting point is 01:18:09 Average. Average. I don't play that much anymore. You're above average. You might not be a great golfer. You're not a D1 golfer, but you are above average as far as a golfer goes. And so is Peter.
Starting point is 01:18:21 Peter and I, above average. And then we got Brad, and then we got a guy who's played less than Brad the last three years. Who might be funnier than me on the golf course, honestly. We are going to be the comic relief. I'm so excited. You know, originally you asked me three weeks ago. I was like, dude, this sounds so fun, but it's great opening a Bondi. And now
Starting point is 01:18:38 I'm like, dude, count me in. As long as there's no generators on the course. As long as I can see the dog show a few times and drown my sorrows. Oh, man. So, yeah, I'm excited. That'll be fun Friday. I'm sure we'll have some good stories from that.
Starting point is 01:18:50 Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. Let's see. What else do I want to... Rachel really wanted me to mention that her... And now I don't even fully know what to say,
Starting point is 01:19:01 but I think her grandma entered a quilt making competition and she won first place. No way. Bonnie Coop. Good job. First place quilt making. She's like 84 years old. Still got it.
Starting point is 01:19:13 That's awesome. So anything you know about the quilt? They won't let me look at it. It's like the, you know, Declaration of Independence or something. You know, they keep it, you know, bulletproof glass. Yeah. I was trying to think of a national treasure quote to go along with it. Couldn't think of anything.
Starting point is 01:19:27 Does she listen to the podcast? No, I don't think so. Just to inspire other quilt makers like, I don't need to tell you to go make your best quilt. Yeah, yeah. Hey, go make your best. Bring your best. Just quilt it.
Starting point is 01:19:42 Just quilt it, is what they say in the game. Yeah, they do. Well, she didn't win first place, first place. She won first place in her flight. In her flight, yeah, her age flight. Good for you, Bonnie. Congrats. You're not going to hear this.
Starting point is 01:19:56 I think it's so funny when moms and dads, like, happy birthday to our two-year-old. I'm always like, you're doing this for yourself a little more than you are for anybody else. Because they are not going to experience. I'm sure I've done it, but it's just a funny thing. Like, I don't know. As I'm doing it, I'm like, I need to be intentional
Starting point is 01:20:15 about encouraging how fun it is to be a dad, or I don't know what it is. Because Hattie's not seeing this. Yeah. It is Bo's birthday. We are celebrating him. Yeah. Do not wish him a happy birthday. He won't see it.
Starting point is 01:20:28 Right. Just know it's his birthday. All right. Goodbye. That's the Instagram story. Um, how do you feel about tossing out some reviews of the week?
Starting point is 01:20:37 I think by some, I mean just one a piece, one a piece. Okay. Oh, this is a photo. I don't think I've seen yet. Um,
Starting point is 01:20:44 yeah. Oh, this is cool. Okay have i don't think i've seen yet um yeah oh this is cool okay uh isha guti says we like you five stars uh she said he i don't know who it is they said i started listening a while ago and started at the very beginning it's a very good place to start sound of music and now i'm listening to the episode about Jake's bachelor party. Starting point is 01:21:27 God bless. We likey. I like that. That is fun. My review, five stars, is from Riley DeBoys. Love it, they say. I've been recommending this podcast to all my friends. They're starting to think I work for y'all.
Starting point is 01:21:43 Sideways crying laughing emoji and then vertical crying laughing emoji. Anyway, thanks for all the fun jokes and hilarious games. Me and my cousin tried Speech Jammer. It was hilarious. The Google and the Google AI killed me. Also, I need to know how to do that magic trick and give Grandpa a hug.
Starting point is 01:22:00 Hey, Riley, move into my Aletha house. Tell you the magic trick. That goes for anybody. That goes for time in. You come rent in Aletha. It's a great house. Cross-street from the pool. Iha house. Tell you the magic trick. That goes for anybody. That goes for time in. That goes, you come rent in Aletha. It's a great house, cross-street from the pool. I'll tell you, do the magic trick. Okay. A guy, Clinton, Clifton Alexander, hollered at me. He's like, hey, got a guy for you.
Starting point is 01:22:15 I was like, oh, awesome. Thank you so much. I'd be texting him, tell him all the info, send him pictures. And he's like, you cool if I move in for one month? Oh. I said, in one month? For one month. For one month. For one month.
Starting point is 01:22:25 He said, just for one month. I'm European, so we say it different. I was like, oh, man. No. Well, better than nothing. Yeah. It's a revolving door. Yeah, I guess.
Starting point is 01:22:38 If you want to move twice in 30 days, yeah, go for it. Just do like an Airbnb thing where it's like uh other people will be around in the house you know how that you can like either rent like a whole house or you can like have a part of like have a room at the house yeah that's kind of what you're doing it'd be nice if my basement had a door and then i could walk out yeah we can probably how easy is that to just throw a door dig a dig a door just Just dig a hole and do segmented stairs down in there with the dirt. I've watched that YouTube channel
Starting point is 01:23:09 of Aborigine Magic or whatever it's called. It's not called that. What's it called? Native primitive building? Primitive building. I was close. Pretty much the same thing. It's been debunked and it's all fake or whatever, but they just built stuff out of clay and okay somehow they put
Starting point is 01:23:27 water and dirt and it makes cement oh so i'll just do what they do yeah yeah perfect i'll do that walk out basement and can you imagine you like get there you're like what in the world is this a lot of sticks yeah technically it's a slide down into the basement, but it's fine. Yeah, I wouldn't wear any nice pants. Yeah, don't wear khakis. Wear dark pants. You're probably going to get mud on them. Brad, how would you feel about ending this episode with a jingle? I just asked ChatGPT to write me a jingle for a podcast called The Ghostwriters.

Starting point is 01:26:33 It's probably one of those things where you just like take turns, but like, yeah, it's more fun to kind of look at each other. Like, do I think like, how, how are we going to communicate through our eyes and our sign language? Like the syllables are going to be, you know, like so good. Oh, man. I enjoyed it.
