Starting point is 00:00:00 Dare I start? Dare you start. Let's start. Happy Monday, Ghosties. I took some airplane ride. Why did I word it like that? I took a train in the sky this last week. Yeah, you're not going to believe it.
Starting point is 00:00:14 These things. This is the wave of the future. Johnny? Big old air tube. No, I took, well, four airplane rides for one 20-minute show this past weekend. Wow. But we can talk more about my experiences in the airport. I took, well, four airplane rides for one 20-minute show this past weekend. Wow. But we can talk more about my experiences in the airport.
Starting point is 00:00:31 It's one of those things where maybe it's because of the end of the tour. Maybe it's because I woke up at 5 a.m. I feel like the earlier I wake up, the dumber everyone else is around me. Oh, yeah. You know, just how more easily perturbed you are. Sure. Anyway. Your fuse is shorter.
Starting point is 00:00:41 There you go. The fuse lengthens the longer you sleep. Dare I say. That's why you wake up with a long fuse. Jeez. Yeah, like you wake up. You're not stressed anymore. You're very patient if you get a good night's sleep. I hated like
Starting point is 00:00:59 camping with my parents. Yeah. Yeah. Alright. What's for breakfast that's the intro forget it uh-oh oh i do i think this type beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts and white me too midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat. So come along, let's have some fun and go ahead, get on your feet because this is the Ghost Rubs Podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:31 All right, so what were you actually saying? What I was going to say was a few different things were kind of bothersome to say in the airport. But one of them that really sent me over the edge is the woman sitting next to me with her young child. Yes. I attract them, you know, on these airplanes. If someone's got a kid, they're like, oh, that guy, he would love us. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Anyway, as the plane lands, people are starting to deboard. This woman who'd been very quiet and normal, all of a sudden starts just like so loudly and so annoyingly explaining to her child what's happening. And it's not just like, all right, so they have to get off and then we'll get off after them. She's like really loudly, like virtue signaling, basically like we basically like we're really respectful in this family. So I wrote it down. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:29 We're not going to get off the plane yet because other people have layovers and they're in a big hurry and we're respectful in this family. All right. Got it. So we're going to let these other people go. We're going to let them go and we're just going to sit here. We're just going to sit here while we wait for them because they have somewhere else to be. Okay, do you understand?
Starting point is 00:02:50 So we are not rude. We are not rude. We are respectful in this family. Do you see that guy right there, that guy with the bag, that guy that's forgetting his bag? See, he must have a layover or he must not understand. Yeah, he's going to use charcoal toothpaste next week and he's going to hate it. His daddy must not have been home when he was a kid, so he must not be respectful to others.
Starting point is 00:03:11 Okay, but we are respectful in our family, okay? It was just so loudly. I think you've talked about this before, like when people talk through their babies a little bit. It's a passive aggressive. Yeah, it's just like that idea. Yeah, so passive aggressive. Yeah, it's just like that idea. Yeah, I'm so passive-aggressive. Of just like, or yeah, whatever. Like, it's like, yeah, instead of me like, you know, hey, Rosie, can you tell Jake that there's a spill on the ground over in his kitchen that maybe you should clean up?
Starting point is 00:03:34 Can you tell him that? Can you tell him that there's a bunch of ants pooling around the spill so it must have a lot of sugar in it? Can you tell him? Can you tell him that you ate one of the ants and that it might make you sick you know like it's like you just tell them yourself lady like hey rosie no we don't get off the plane right away you see those people they're all psychopaths no we can't go anywhere anyway so i don't know why they're standing up yeah i don't i don't understand you yeah do you
Starting point is 00:03:59 see uh yeah the the the the see how that, so that seatbelt sign right there, that means you have to keep your seatbelt on Rosie. Even if you really have to go potty, even like this guy, he's going potty. No, we're not allowed to in our house. We don't do what that guy does. No,
Starting point is 00:04:15 we do not. Yeah. Just like very, uh, just so loud. It thinks you don't, you know, it would have taken a half sentence.
Starting point is 00:04:22 Hey, we're just going to, we're just going to sit down for a little bit longer. How old was the kid? Like like two it's like explaining to rosie how layovers work it's like yeah she doesn't need to know so you know how we're in charlotte can you say charlotte north carolina you know we're in eastern time zone they're going to o'hare right they have to go to chicago o'hare maybe midway the worst part is if she just straight up says like incorrect facts like we're in charlotte
Starting point is 00:04:45 charlotte is the capital of north carolina capital it's where all the government meets for all the state where the bobcats play that's right yes steph curry uh is from here i think uh yeah it's like uh close uh it's like please stop yeah It wasn't that big of a deal, but I was like, this is just a funny thing that, yeah, it's just like, why are people like this? Well, I, yeah, recently I've been, I don't know, Bo's just been getting into mischief lately. And so I, I've been working like my, my innate desire is to just like lecture him for five minutes every time he does something wrong. But I feel like after about 10, 15 seconds, he's done, you know? And I think that's kind of what this lady is doing with this two-year-old. Like, like it's like, Hey, like you said, like, just
Starting point is 00:05:32 say like, Hey, FYI, uh, we'll just stay seated or just don't say anything to a two-year-old. They won't even notice. Yeah. Oh no, we're not allowed. Hey, just, just stay there. Like, or just, just, nope, just sit down and do your thing like eat this food eat your snack whatever uh but instead it's like i'm gonna lecture you for five minutes and ingrained your head teach you about layovers and teach you about departures and drop-offs you know all these things like just calm down with it just chill that's funny you gotta really cram in a lecture in 10 seconds right oh my god if this is worth it right it's like you're filming tiktoks it's like back we used to film five minute videos now it's all 10 seconds yeah six seconds you know maybe that
Starting point is 00:06:08 was the there's going to be someday there people are going to talk about vine parenting and it's six second or less like that's that's how much time you have to give you know parenting opportunities to your kids like hey instruction discipline yeah teaching six seconds yeah you don't need you don't need a youtube you know vlog you just need a vine don't need a vlog need a vine that's my first what you're gonna say this weekend i'm thinking about it how are you feeling about that yeah you leave tomorrow so we're recording this yep leaving tomorrow to go into indiana for the the my the father father child retreat i always say father son um but really I'm just talking to the father. So either way it applies, but yeah, I, I feel pretty good. I, I think the thing I'm worried about most is I like wrote down almost verbatim what I want to say, because I like was very,
Starting point is 00:06:58 I want to be intentional about my words. I don't want to like go off on tangents. Like, you know, that I can, you know, we have a podcast that we go on tangents for, yeah, all the, all the long fuses in the world, all the rabbit trails. But, um, and so I wrote down everything and I, I went yesterday, I got like a few different reservations at the library conference rooms, uh, by myself and just literally sat down and just said everything out loud, like presented basically all six of these things that I have to do. This was your EconoLodge. It was my EconoLodge. Um, and it was like, the only thing I'm worried about is just sounding too, like, like sounding too much. Like I'm just reading it. I think that's the main thing I'm
Starting point is 00:07:38 worried about. Like the delivery of what you want to say. Yeah. Like, I don't want it to like, like on one side of things, I'm like, I tried really hard to be intentional with this and that's why I wrote it all down on the other side. I don't want it to feel like he's not meaning this cause he's just reading it off of his screen. You know what I mean? So, um, but I don't, I don't think, I don't think I'm worried too much about that. I'd rather be over prepared than under prepared with something like this. So, yeah, I think that's tough as much as I've spoken in front of people. I haven't practiced reading and then speaking. And so, yeah, that's probably a little tough, but it's also, you know, the more, you know, if you get your second gig doing this, your third gig doing this, then it's going to sound extremely authentic and you'll need less notes. And, uh,
Starting point is 00:08:19 I will say this, this is funny. Um, so last week, so, so the guy that's hooking me up with this thing, the director of the camp, his name is Tanner. And so so last week, so, so the guy that's hooking me up with this thing, the director of the camp, his name is Tanner. And so I asked Tanner as I'm preparing for this stuff. I'm like Tanner, who is he? 11 at one point.
Starting point is 00:08:34 I've never met an adult Tanner. That's funny. That's funny because I bet we knew a bunch of Tanner's growing up that are now our age. What are they named now? Yeah. They changed. They had to. Tanner's like a shorthand,
Starting point is 00:08:43 like Bobby. It's like just tan. It's just called tan. Yeah. They go by go by tan man. Yeah. Um, so I was talking to tan man and I was, I was preparing for these talks and I'm like, as I'm preparing, I'm like, how much do I want to assume that these men know about the Bible? Like how much do I want to assume, uh, that they, yeah, they have knowledge of the old Testament. Do I just like throw out the name Hannah or do I like have to tell the entire story of whatever, you know,
Starting point is 00:09:07 second, same, whatever, all these different things. And so I messaged him. I'm like, Hey, just general ballpark.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Do you have an idea of, uh, you know, spiritual maturity of these guys? Thanks. Tan man. Uh, thanks.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Tan man signed B dog with D a W G, um, B rizzle. And so, uh, I shouldn't have asked that because he responds, he's like, I know there's at least a couple pastors coming.
Starting point is 00:09:29 One of them who's getting his PhD right now. And I was like, oh my gosh. I was like, why did you choose me to talk to these guys? Not everyone there has a master's in theology. I was like, oh geez, dude. Dude, I feel that though. Like if someone's like, I remember when John Chris came to see me perform.
Starting point is 00:09:47 I'd rather he just stand in the lobby afterwards and hear what people have to say about it. I don't really want him to see me do it. Or just don't know that John Chris is in the audience. That'd be nice to know afterwards. Oh, cool. Oh, awesome. So now my mindset has changed
Starting point is 00:10:02 from being worried about being too high up to all of a sudden being like- I'm so stupid. No, yeah. It's just like, I mindset has changed from like being worried about being too high up to all of a sudden being like stupid. No. Yeah. It's just like, I've just been praying like, Lord, just, just let like your words come, you know, speak through me, come out of my tongue. What was it? Your put your tongue in my mouth, you know?
Starting point is 00:10:18 And so it's like, let, let, like, cause I'm not going to wow this guy with my words, but hopefully, you know, biblical truths will. So what's the ratio of, give me a pie chart of content here. So your topics are biblical truth. Okay. Personal stories. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Humor. Yep. And what would you call it? Analogies. Ooh, personal stories versus analogies. Okay. I would say, I hope that biblical truth, 60%. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:10:56 Give me stories. That's a huge slice of pie. I know. I've been trying to like force myself to do more. No more pie. No more pie. No more slices. No more truths.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Give me more stories. I'm stuffed. Give me 60% that, 20% stories. trying to like force myself to do more pie no more pie no more slices no more truths give me more story i'm stuffed give me give me 60 that 20 stories 15 stories 15 metaphors 10 humor honestly okay and like but that's the part when you when you rehearse when you go over it that's the part where you just realize oh i could throw in humor here i could make a joke about like yeah i'm thinking about you know family as a team and as like, yeah, I'm thinking about, you know, family as a team and as a vision for the multi-generations. And, you know, hopefully I'm in Kansas City and I have Patrick Mahomes, you know, boys as my son-in-laws or whatever, you know,
Starting point is 00:11:34 like something like that, like throwing it in there left and right. But yeah, for the most part, that's the thing. Like I'm not like being super funny. I'm more just hanging, hanging and being myself. You're not doing crowd work with the father-child so who here who here's a dad anybody a dad here okay that's a lot of hands whoa I see that hand so yeah what else what else would I do for crowd work you'd say here your Spanx here are my spankers yeah he's right handy yeah it looks calloused oh my god timon you gotta look that up i'm so sorry guys we don't need to talk about my my issues with
Starting point is 00:12:13 this thing today i'm not gonna use paper towels you know you know what your punishment is you have to talk about it i know brad came in and i don't want to talk about okay guys so i've been having a lot of protein shakes recently or gain gain creamy chocolate, double foot, whatever it is. It's good stuff. And every day I've noticed that if you put like, normally I would just put water and shake it up, but I've been starting to use my magic bullet, blend it up with ice. And it's like amazing. It's like a milkshake all of a sudden. And it's wonderful. Thank you, Jake. Uh, Oh, very nice. Um, and today for whatever reason, when I made it, the protein powder just went right to the bottom, didn't mix up at all. And so that's probably the reason why this is even happening. Cause I would have drank it all by now if it hadn't just been like, like,
Starting point is 00:13:02 like, you know, like the bad kind of smoothies or no bad kind of slurpees that like all the all the juice comes out and then you just have like the nasty like ice at the top that's what this whole thing's been today and I kept saying I don't want to talk about it this morning when we were before we were podcasting and I kept bringing it up myself so Jake is also
Starting point is 00:13:20 we are we are both grade a wiper uppers here this is how it's done. This is it, baby. This is the boys. I'll be right back. Get a wet one, buddy. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:13:32 I was going to make a funny joke about spankers. I know. I didn't stop ready to go. Okay. We'll come back to it. Anyway, so Tymon, welcome, buddy. How are you? Thank you.
Starting point is 00:13:42 I'm great. Let's get you some talk time. Okay. I'm trying to think of what I would talk about. Anything, buddy. Okay are you? Thank you. I'm great. Let's get you some talk time. Okay. I'm trying to think of what I would talk about. Anything, buddy. Okay. Just fill the time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:50 This past weekend, I drove down to a random spot in Missouri and then up to a random spot in Kansas on two separate days. This is a nice angle on you, Jake. Yeah, right. Did you really? To film some stuff for this crop irrigation company. Okay. That sounds exciting,
Starting point is 00:14:10 doesn't it? Crop irrigation, yeah. Where in Kansas are we talking? So, Hiawatha, Kansas. It's like super close to the border. Yeah, Nebraska. Yeah, close to Nebraska. Okay. So, that's like where their headquarters is. They were just having like some these like kind these field day meetings
Starting point is 00:14:25 where they'd do presentations and demonstrations. I just filmed everything. How hard is it to do something like that when you don't really understand what the industry is? It definitely makes it less exciting, I think. Or just, I mean, I think if it was more of a like high production shoot, it'd be more exciting. But like, it's just, since it's very simple and like, just like documenting all this stuff,
Starting point is 00:14:49 then it's not super interesting just because I like don't really get it. So were you just documenting like the meeting, the conference kind of thing? Or was it like- Pretty much just like people like presenting. I would like, I filmed that. And then like, there were just a couple, like I would just take pictures throughout just kind of for them to promote the next time they do this thing I see how'd you get this gig uh through church just like there's like a location
Starting point is 00:15:12 of our like denomination like in that area it's like they knew our family so that's nice yeah pay well I we still haven't talked about the exact pricing for this thing. But in the past, yes, yes, reasonable. Classic. TBD. You know, I just said... Funny you should mention that. I think I'm getting paid for it. They should pay me.
Starting point is 00:15:36 No, that is on me. If you're out there, don't do that. Don't not talk about it beforehand. So you went somewhere in Missouri first, though? Yes, it was like a... They have like a representative in that area, like Lockwood, Missouri.
Starting point is 00:15:48 These are both like roughly two-hour drives. Lockwood. They ran the triple option. They're pretty good at it. I love that. I have to think about that. Lockwood just sounds like
Starting point is 00:15:57 the team that would run the triple option. I'm pretty sure. All right. We got Lockwood this week, boys. All right. Linebackers, we need you. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Gotta stay disciplined this week. Lockwood Lions, baby. Come on, boys. All right. Linebackers, we need you. Let's go. Gotta stay disciplined this week. Lockwood Lions, baby. Come on, Indians. I love it, dude. Don't you miss football? Football is the best. I always say it, but I'm going to be a,
Starting point is 00:16:16 whenever I'm doing it, I'm 50 years old. I'm quitting math teacher, football coach. I miss it. Was it the best at the time for you? No, not at the time. I hated it at the time. But I miss it was it the best at the time for you uh no not at the time i hated it at the but i miss it like it's this weird thing dude i didn't hate it but i never looked forward to it
Starting point is 00:16:33 every single day there's something special about only getting one game a week i think that's a big part of it is it every game means so much because all you do is practice basically um but yeah it is fun and the whole town's there yeah for you especially you're you're shutting the place down nothing going on um okay tell me tell us more sorry for interrupting no it's okay i don't know not not too much more to say the one in lockwood was like a similar thing but a little more like maybe a little more hands-on in the field they did like a drone demonstration yeah we're like because they're starting to spray fields it's like drones now like a huge probably five foot by five foot drones that are sick it was pretty sick yeah it was cool
Starting point is 00:17:13 um but yeah not that interesting but pretty cool interesting yeah I mean yeah I got appreciation for farmers yeah yeah for Yeah. For sure. I like farmers. You do? One hand up. One finger high. I like farmers. Put it up high for farmers. But yeah, I was going to say something.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Eh. Lockwood. It was about football. Yeah. Oh, speaking of football, we got to talk. Mahomes threw. Wait, Tymon, have you seen what happened? No.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Yes. No. happened? No. Yes. No? Really? No. It's one of those things, it feels like a transcends algorithm. It feels like even Tymon should know. It feels like... Even everyone listening should know.
Starting point is 00:17:54 It feels like the 80-year-old who's read the paper has still seen it. Seen a hologram of it in the paper. How recent was this? This was... This past weekend. Saturday. Okay. I want you to fill in the blank.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Mahomes threw a blank, blank, blank pass to Travis Kelsey. A world record underhand pass. Warmish, warmish. Okay, what if we give you the middle word of the blank, blank, blank is the. Oh. Okay, oh, blank is the, Oh, okay. Oh, the interesting start.
Starting point is 00:18:30 Oh, say, say, uh, through a blank, the blank pass behind the back. There it is. Tywin's football guy. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:18:38 you are. Yeah. So in a game, he completed a pass. Wow. Just throwing it behind his back. Um, so first of all,
Starting point is 00:18:45 that was amazing. I just landed and pulled up the game and watch it. And I texted you guys immediately. You watched it live? Yeah. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:18:52 I was freaking out and I pulled, or not pulled over, but I got over to the side of the airport and I just, I replayed it and then Isaac was behind me.
Starting point is 00:19:00 I was like, look what just happened. And then Derek was behind me. I go, look what just happened. And then, I kid you not, right after that,
Starting point is 00:19:04 someone comes up to me and was like, you guys from Jeans Shorts? And I was like, yes, dude, so nice to meet you. I go, look what just happened. And then Derek was behind me. I go, look what just happened. And then I kid you not right after that, someone comes up to me and was like, you guys from Jean shorts. And I was like, yes, dude. So nice to meet you. I go, look what just happened. I was so fired. I was so scared. Who cares about Jean shorts? Look at this. He's not done. Yeah. Uh, the only other thing I really want to say about this is something's up. Have you seen some of the interviews and them talking about afterwards? Oh, I don't buy it. Yeah. So I, I immediately, I told Rachel, achel i said something's weird with this behind the back pass so for those who don't follow the chiefs probably as closely as we do i think first they interviewed mahomes during the game because he only played like a couple drives like all right walk us through
Starting point is 00:19:35 that behind the back pass and he's like well well he's like it wasn't supposed to happen travis didn't want to run the route i told him to. And so I was upset at him. And so out of spite, I threw it that way. Weird answer. It also didn't seem like, it seemed like he was like acting or something. It seemed weird. Then they interviewed Travis Kelsey.
Starting point is 00:19:54 They go talk to us about that pass. And his interview was actually kind of funny. He's like, you know, Mahomes has got that voice. I couldn't understand him. And so I ran the wrong route. And it was like, they had their stories synced up. Like we gonna say right and then the weird part is andy reed after the game they're like all right that behind the back pass what happened he goes well i don't really see what the big deal is players in basketball throw it behind their back several times a game it's like
Starting point is 00:20:17 what's going on with why are they doing this there's like downgrading it or like like this isn't a play it did did feel like, okay, you gotta at least, yeah. If, if it was improvised, you gotta acknowledge more like, Hey,
Starting point is 00:20:29 that was pretty cool. What we did Patrick. Like, yeah, I don't buy it. Something's up. I've watched that play so many times. One,
Starting point is 00:20:35 because it's so cool. And time has always texted me the link. Like, yeah, check this out. But to the more I look at him, like this wasn't improvised. This is not this.
Starting point is 00:20:43 It was perfect. Yeah. Rishi rice. Wasn't going out for everyone't improvised. This is not. It was perfect. Rasheed Rice wasn't going out for it. Everyone on the field knew what was happening. Yeah. Really? Yeah. Everyone else was just kind of like running a half route.
Starting point is 00:20:53 Yes, exactly. Looking back. Okay. Yeah. Like, it's like, oh, no, it's a broken play from everybody. It was odd that they, like, what's their motive for that? I know. It's like, they have this in their pocket, but they don't want to act like it's a real play. I don't know what the long-term play is exactly,
Starting point is 00:21:08 but I like it. They're scheming something. It's also one of those things where it's awesome, but it's also not... Is the difficulty that hard, or is it just one of those things that's like, no one's done it, so therefore it's amazing? And it's like, is it really that necessary
Starting point is 00:21:23 to do it behind the back? You know what I mean? Yeah, because it's probably not crazy crazy difficult i think you and i could do it right now to time and and hit him in the chest but i think the risk is so high that that's what makes it like crazy like in basketball you throw behind your back oh well we get the ball back in 20 seconds yeah this is like we might lose the game now yeah that's pretty fun yeah it was it was awesome i was i was in memphis with my friends and yeah one of my buddies who's a chiefs fan was like uh mahomes just threw a behind the back pass in a game oh it was awesome because he'd done it in practice a few times yeah and so you're just waiting for it and here it is how was memphis it was great uh it was a lot of fun drafting in
Starting point is 00:21:59 memphis that's what we did honestly that was like my inside joke the entire week. Was it? Was just, you know, two-syllable word in Memphis. That's it in Memphis. Yeah, whatever. Oh, man, we're hitting traffic. Sorry, guys. Traffic in Memphis. Like over and over again, just parodying that song. But yeah, it was fun.
Starting point is 00:22:19 I'm trying to think of like main highlights. I was going to bring this up earlier. I wasn't on a plane. I drove, but one of my buddies his name is jeremy holiday chiefs fan who told me about patrick mahomes um jeremy and memphis yeah he j hall we call him j hall in memphis i like jeremy tan man in memphis um so jeremy flew from manh Kansas, Manhattan, Kansas. He flew from Manhattan, Kansas into Memphis. And we were planning the night that he was getting there to go to rendezvous, which is a barbecue place.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Okay. Rendezvous. Got it. That's part of the story. Rendezvous. Okay. So Jeremy, small town, Kansas boy, wonderful farming boy. He's like, this is the first time I think I'd ever flown without my wife.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Uh, you know, like just like, just, he's just, he's just, he's just not one to like get out that often. So anyway, um, was flying really wholesome. Like he never flew until he was 25 and then has never flown without her. No, he said he flew once. He flew once. This was also wholesome in high school with a group of his classmates and they took veterans back to Washington, D.C.
Starting point is 00:23:31 to like honor them. Oh, wow. Veterans from their hometown. Their hometown's like this small little town in Kansas. I've never done anything like that. Not even close, brother. He is better than us. Yeah, feels like time and sentiment close to that.
Starting point is 00:23:42 Yeah, he's adopting his second kid. You know, he's just that kind of guy, you know, and you call him J hole, J hall. Oh, it's Jeremy holiday. You got a better nickname for him than jail.
Starting point is 00:23:54 I've never even thought about it. J hole. That's really funny. Anyway, he's like a great guy. So we're going to rendezvous the night he gets there. Uh, J hall,
Starting point is 00:24:02 a wonderful guy. He's talking on the plane with this guy. Uh, and this guy's like guy's like uh yeah what are you doing in memphis i'm here for a fantasy football draft okay yeah i'm from memphis it's a great town you're gonna love it and jeremy's like oh yeah we're actually going to a barbecue place here tonight and then he looks at his phone to like make sure he knows what it's called he goes yeah we're going to rindesvis yeah we're going to rindesvis the guy goes uh it's pronounced rendezvous man and so man we could not get over the idea of calling it rindesvis oh that's the isaac mcdonald of the friend group oh he was oh he's flagstaff phoenix or tuxon which is your favorite city in arizona oh and so like, you know,
Starting point is 00:24:45 at the restaurant, you know, I was, of course, playing it up. Anything you can mispronounce on the menu. They're known for their dry ribs. I was like, okay, how good are the Rendezvous special dry ribs here? You know, like, that's Rendezvous for you, you know. Oh, I just mispronounced. It says I
Starting point is 00:25:01 could do corn on the cove as a side? Yeah, you guys do corn on the cove? Really can i get an extra booter no yeah all right yeah right what's uh boontens yeah what's the i don't know what this is stupid right brisket that's that's terrible brisket uh smoke brisket anyway so rendezvous was a uh great inside joke for the entire i mean i couldn't get over it for three days just thinking of thinking of the fact that he mispronounced he's like i don't know the last time i saw the word rendezvous in writing uh and then the fact that he said it out loud to somebody else he do for work he is a uh roofing he sells roofs oh the whole roof yeah that's like one piece or like he sells shingles um he sells it i think he sells i i don't know if they come in one piece because
Starting point is 00:25:54 they're they're customizable so maybe it's the shingles well i don't know how roofs work solar he does sell solar so he sells solar shingles by the seashore. Tesla roofs. He sells Tesla roofs. Tesla. Yeah. Solar Tesla. Tesla. Shingles roof. So anyway, that was wonderful.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Ronde roof. Rendesvis. And so, yeah, we were trying to think of all the things. Like, we were playing golf the next day. Be careful. This might, you know, rich a chat off of the tree. Yeah, ricochet. Yeah, whatever.
Starting point is 00:26:22 All these different things. How was golfing? Golfing. Golfing, the course was pretty average. It was a $50 course, which I think it was a little bit below what I would expect for a $50 course in Kansas City. But it was classic. I'm good after nine holes. I think this would have been fine.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Yeah, 12 is a good sweet spot. After that, I'm getting sunburned. We think this would have been fine. Yeah. Cause 12 is a good sweet spot after that. Like I'm getting sunburned. We played, uh, I've had his crackers. I mean, there was eight of us. So we had two foursomes, but only one guy is like actually good at golf. Everyone's just like trying their best. I mean, and so he was on the other foursome. And so we tried to make all these new rules kind of, I mean, kind of similar to what we would do. Yeah. So it was like, okay, if you use every single person shot on this hole, you get an extra point. If you want to put it, you get an extra point. If you use Adam cautious drive, because Adam gosh is really bad at the golf or Christopher Deese, who's never played golf. Or if you use either of their first shots, you get two points.
Starting point is 00:27:18 And if you win the first nine or the back nine, you get an extra five points. Yeah. But even then it was just like the very first hole, my team goes first. And I mean, none of us hit it straight. And so it took us 20 minutes to play the first hole. We couldn't even find our balls. I lost more balls than I've ever lost before. And it wasn't even a wooded course.
Starting point is 00:27:40 It was just like, I don't know where it went. Yeah, you're just like, it should be here. I bet I lost 10 balls. Dude, when I first started playing golf, I couldn't believe how often I was losing the equipment I need to play. What other sport do I just not have my glove anymore? No, I can't find my paddle. Like, this is crazy that we play this sport.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Right. We just lose the equipment. It's true. It's wild. So anyway, it was. Who is the good golfer? What's his name? Matt Gilbert.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Oh, M-hole? M-hole, his name? Matt Gilbert. Oh, M hole. M hole. Yeah. Oh, Gilly. Gilly in Memphis. So and he was having fun, but it would have been fun if we had another guy like that on our team just to get you in the fairway. Rise the tides.
Starting point is 00:28:17 Yeah, a little bit. But we tried to like second half of the of the time, like, OK, let's change up the rules to where Gilbert can only use six iron and higher uh so i try to nerf them yeah kind of yeah just try to do all these different things uh they still end up winning but um we had fun it was it was it was a good time i was ready to be done though i was yeah it was like kind of a chore at the end of it so yeah scrambling is usually more fun, but if you're like, if we're all sucking, it's like, this is taking forever and we're not doing good. There was a few classic times where it was like, that's how you come back right there is because
Starting point is 00:28:54 that one shot was awesome by schools or that was awesome by me, like whatever. So anyway, you had some joy in there. We had some joy, had some joy. Uh overall, it was a fine time at golf. I bet the barbecue sucked there. Honestly? Tell me. I could have better barbecue at home, I think. How? Just make it myself.
Starting point is 00:29:16 How? Where? Put it on the grill. Where do you get it from? Online. Where do you buy it from? go google chrome yep and then worldwide web dot yeah good ranchers dot yeah commercial that's right www.goodranchers.com we're presented we're sponsored by good ranchers here today y'all yeehaw give me a yeehaw jacob yeehaw baby if you're looking for you know what we were talking

Starting point is 00:30:49 No, it's a meat maker. Yeah. The drone is called a meat maker. Yeah. It just makes more sense. Yeah. They're made with no antibiotics or hormones, steakhouse quality. It saves you time and money because it's shipped right to your door.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Freezer. What do they call it? You could put it in your freezer. Yeah. Vacuum sealed. You can throw it in your freezer uh you can cook it up right there have you heard of something called a sous vide is that a souffle chef is they i think it's similar yes i think it's i think it's the souffle chef made some thing but you can literally take it from frozen to basically cooked uh with good ranchers with the sous vide i'm I'm excited about buying one. Starting point is 00:32:32 ba dum bum boom ba dum bum boom ba dum bum boom I didn't love the the moment that is hard give us a give us a longer one give us a 10 second one and we'll do it together I didn't love the moment. It is hard. Give us a longer one. Give us a 10 second one and we'll do it together.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Okay. Okay. Oh, man. Oh, man. Not bad. oh man not bad pretty good segment good job my two little parrots oh man two little macaws well i got a new half-baked uh podcast idea last week it was like coca-cola and like how things are doing in Venezuela. Okay. This time, I'll make a podcast called How Do You Make Your Money? I just feel like there's so many like, whether it's like Instagram accounts or like musicians
Starting point is 00:33:36 or whatever, I think it'd be a fun podcast. Like, I don't know. A lot of people ask about us. Yeah. Just like, what do you do to make money? I think it'd be fun. Is this your job? Bring in people like us who have a small podcast and believe it or not.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Should we call it, is this your, in italics, real job? Yeah. Is this your actual job? It's called full-time, question mark. Like when people ask me, oh, that's cool, you do comedy. Not full-time, right? Full-time? What else do you do during the full-time time are you like well
Starting point is 00:34:05 what else you like during the day though like you like manage hedge funds yeah no one is when you say you're accounting okay what do you do full-time like but is that like a hobby or is that like you're like a passion of yours or like you just you've sprung into does your wife work you've always been into hedge funding or oh you do oh they pay you oh cool awesome exactly you're a physician? How often? Where'd you learn that? How'd you learn how to do that?
Starting point is 00:34:31 That's so funny. Something clearly... Where do you get your materials? Where do you get your supply? Criminal defense attorney. Wow. How'd you learn that? Is that a family business?
Starting point is 00:34:41 Is there good money in that? Yeah. Is there good money in that? Interesting. I'll have to look into that. That's the first I'm hearing of um no but i was listening to so a couple things one have you seen the the boom or doom father son no they just got on my radar this past week it's like uh they seem like normal enough guys but i don't know what they're oh yeah i know them yeah yeah yeah yeah they're just like in public usually reviewing food and screaming into the camera okay boom or doom and these guys are just blowing up i'm like is this full time for them right boom or doom instagram you know how are they making their
Starting point is 00:35:15 money i think that would be interesting and then also i was on one of my runs the other night i was listening to you friends, the DJ group. And what I know about them, they don't really put out that much original music. They do those like big booty mixes, which are just like their own edited remix they make with other people's music. And like, how are they making money off of this?
Starting point is 00:35:38 Like what's the revenue structure of only using other people's music to put on your own concerts? I'm curious about that. Like, can you get licenses for these and then make it legal or is it yeah if you perform them live it's free game yeah great questions because i think i think it'd be interesting maybe maybe it would be interesting full-time question mark because i think there's some huge uh social media accounts out there that are not making very much money yeah either don't have the right infrastructure or just don't know they can do it full time.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Right. They're just, they're getting huge amounts of views, but they don't know how to convert that. And then there's also people that are very niche, very like, yeah, we have 5,000 subscribers, but there are 5,000 great subscribers. So they're, you know, they're like the people who do the hydraulic press videos, probably hard to monetize that. Like, are you making money? You can't really do a brand deal, right?
Starting point is 00:36:30 There's no words. There's no humans. I don't know. You just put a logo on the press. They do that sometimes. I don't, they, Oh really?
Starting point is 00:36:36 Or like, uh, or they'll smash. Like remember they did that for the chiefs, uh, all the chiefs opponents. Oh, that's a good point.
Starting point is 00:36:42 You could smash the branded thing. Yeah. I don't know what company would sign up for that. Would you smash the other brand or would you smash your own brand? Yeah. What kind of smash you're talking? You know, I'm talking smash like hydraulic press.
Starting point is 00:36:56 Yeah. Quite the niche of videos that really popped off recently. Just smashing stuff. Gets my attention. Hattie loves them. Really? Yeah. Yeah, they're cool. I think they watch them at church, the hydraulic press ones. Why not?
Starting point is 00:37:08 So I like that idea though. That's it. Just. What's it like to trade crypto on Kraken? Let's say I'm in a state-of-the-art gym surrounded by powerful looking machines. Do I head straight for the squat rack? I could, but this gym has options
Starting point is 00:37:22 like trainers, fitness pros, spotters to back me up. That's Crypto on Kraken. Powerful crypto tools backed by 24-7 support and multi-layered security. Go to kraken.com and see what crypto can be. Not investment advice. Crypto trading involves risk of loss. See kraken.com slash legal slash ca dash pru dash disclaimer for info on Kraken's undertaking to register in Canada. Are you Dave, a claims-free hybrid driving university grad who signed up online? Well, Dave,
Starting point is 00:37:46 this jingle's for you. Who saves with TD Insurance because he's a claims-free hybrid-driving university grad who signed up online? It's Dave. Not Dave?
Starting point is 00:37:57 No problem. TD Insurance has over 30 ways to save on home and auto. So... You can totally save, just not exactly like Dave. Save like only you can at tdinsurance.com slash ways to save td ready for you yeah i think we should just do more and
Starting point is 00:38:15 more podcasts and put more stuff on our plate yeah yeah i'm wanting to start this asap i was thinking about all-time quarterback again the other day i'm like yeah we should do like a pre-season like predictions one i'm like we yeah, we should do like a preseason predictions one. I'm like, what? We just have to really lean into the idea of whatever we do, we don't know what we're talking about. We can kind of act like we do, but there were so many people in this fantasy football draft
Starting point is 00:38:38 that got drafted, and I'm like, Austin Eckler plays for the Commanders now? You know, like so many times. I was like, I had no idea. Sterling Shepard's on the giants anymore. Like all these teams, you know, have these new players that I just, I just don't, I'm not an off season guy. Yeah. I not with other teams, but for the chiefs, I am really, they're just good. They're just fun. Why not? And they're off season pretty short. Good point. You know? Boom, roasted. Other teams. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:09 Like, yeah, the off-season starts for the Panthers, like week four. I was in the Charlotte airport, and they were selling it. There was like a Panthers warehouse. Yeah. I was like, man, I'm glad that's not my team. A whole store full of the 2 and 14 team or whatever. Yeah, and it's rough colors, too. If they're good, they're cool colors. Or when they're bad, you're like, ugh.
Starting point is 00:39:28 Yikes. Same Darnold did not look good in that. Black's your main color? Yeah. I don't know. I kind of feel the same way about the Chiefs though. Their colors aren't great. Their colors are not great.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Just red and white, that's all right. But then yellow. Yeah, yellow. Get out of here. Two colors. Scheduled my first email this week. You ever done that? I don't think I ever have.
Starting point is 00:39:48 I'm proud of you for that. It's within Gmail. No plug-in, no add-on, no extension needed. I like that feature. Where am I seeing it? If it's ever like, it's like 2 a.m. and I'm like, I don't want to make it seem like I'm a dingus. That's what I was thinking. Yeah, you don't want to seem international.
Starting point is 00:40:04 You don't want to seem international and mute. Yeah, I scheduled my first email because it was like Sunday night, 1 or 2 a.m. I was like, you know, it'd be fun to get this email sent off to this guy Monday, 8 a.m. or whatever. Yeah. And then you wake up, you forget that you've even done this, and I get a reply at 8.15. I was like, oh, yeah. Oh, that's a fun feeling. Fun.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Yeah, there's probably strategy feeling. Fun. Oh yeah. There's probably strategy to waiting until you think that they're already by their computer, by their phone, like in work mode, rather than like, I'll just send it Saturday. No expectation to reply till Monday. But then all of a sudden it's the 18th thing down. I get it.
Starting point is 00:40:40 So how new is this? I'm gesturing to Brett. You can't, it's not translated into the podcast. Let's just do, let's just do, let's just do by language for the rest of the time. So right. What are you asking?
Starting point is 00:41:01 How much time? How long has, is this like a, how, how long has this feature been around timing you're the expert i'm not sure tech tech guy i see it right next to the send here you just click on this little arrow and say schedule send easy peasy huh that's fun so yeah just that just okay i want to let you know i really like that idea idea. It's pretty fun. They added it in April 2019. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:41:25 You can write your emails up to 49 years in advance. Oh, that's fun. Okay. Let's write emails to our... Let's write emails to our kids. Whoa. That's going to be tough.
Starting point is 00:41:37 I don't know their email address. You can make one. Really? Yeah. What would I call it? KidOne. KidOne.com. Hopefully that's not taken triplet crew are you when you when you when you have a kid are you gonna
Starting point is 00:41:51 um go from two instagram accounts to one and call it triplet crew yeah yep triplet crew crew 4 48 94 yeah um tripping with the triplets and we kind of like van life travel blog we kind of do all that that's fun and then the logo is like me falling down like whoa and rachel lifting you up like she's got me behind and there's a map behind us because we're tripping all over the world okay i like it yeah that's fully baked that is. I'd say that's ready. Time to come out. There's your answer. Fully baked. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:29 Went to Memphis this weekend. Drove through basically Stratford. Not quite. Yeah. Went. Highway 60 mean anything to you? 65. Well, 65 to the highway that goes off of 65 towards mansfield what's what highway is that
Starting point is 00:42:46 oh mansfield i don't know man's off top of my head they're about an hour away we played in baseball okay i'll ask you something else and i forget i'm gonna figure out the exact name of this thing and you're gonna know where this thing is i texted to your dad oh really because your dad i texted him the same picture i texted you of like that exit sign for Stratford. Mm, fun. And let me find it real quick here. Take your time, take your time. Stupid iMessage search. I just searched Steve. I should be able to find Steve Triplett as the first thing.
Starting point is 00:43:13 You should, you should. Steve Rice, he's an associate pastor for Catherine's Home Church. He's coming up before Steve Triplett. Oh, Highway 60, yeah. Is that what it's called? You're right, yeah, it goes east. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Seymour, Amish country. Seymour butts. What do we know about wildly unique guns? Wild and unique guns? Do you not know about this place? I don't know about this. Look it up, dude. I didn't stop there.
Starting point is 00:43:38 Well, first of all, I texted Steve this picture. Yeah, it's an exit for Sparta, Sparta and Stratford. And first thing he texted with seven exclamation points or so seven question marks is just why, what are you doing down here? Uh, and I said, I got to go see those wildly unique guns. There's a whole huge place, probably 15 minutes South of you, called Wild the Unique Guns. Do you see where it is now? I'm just on the website. I'm trying to see just how unique these guns are.
Starting point is 00:44:11 Oh, this is going to mess with my algorithm. It feels wrong to even look at guns like this. This feels weird. There were signs. Yeah, there were signs. He looked at Wild the Unique Guns one time. It says Webster County, Missouri. They don't even want to tell me the city.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Oh, just outside of Fordland. Yeah, I ran out of gas one time around there. Like it's not very far from your house. No, it's not. This place. It's one of those things where it's like, I mean, Jake, sometimes like when you're like, yeah, I'm from a small town. I'm like, but you're so close to Springfield. But then other times I'm driving through highway 60, which is a stone's throw away from your backyard. And I'm like, wildly unique guns is not Springfield. This is the country right here, man. This is, I'll say it, scary. Really?
Starting point is 00:44:56 How scary this is happening. Yeah, that's a lot of guns. They had a sign that was like, we have more than guns or something like that. It was like, they have other. We have bullets too. We have like, I don't know, all something like that. It was like, they have other, we have bullets too. We have, we have like, I don't know all those different like medieval looking like weapons,
Starting point is 00:45:09 like a mace. Is that? Yeah, that's what, yeah, exactly. Something like that. So anyway,
Starting point is 00:45:14 I didn't know what you thought about that. Wildly unique guns, but I guess it's not a thing. I thought it was like kind of like a, you know, yeah, it's our, everybody knows,
Starting point is 00:45:24 everybody knows about Lambertts and wildly unique guns. No, I didn't really know about that. Maybe it's newer. Maybe it is. Yeah, my main experience at Fordland is, yeah, me and my dad ran out of gas. And yeah, it was late at night and we didn't know exactly where we were. My dad had to call my mom and she was asleep. And like, wait, first of all, wake her up until we ran out of gas.
Starting point is 00:45:44 And second of all, say, I don't know where we are. It was like pretty GPS. So we're just walking around, just trying to find landmarks. Wow. Pretty fun. Um, I did stop at Bucky's. Oh yeah. In Stratford.
Starting point is 00:45:56 I'm going to call it Stratford Bucky's. Thank you. Is it popping? Popping. Yeah. I've never not seen it. It was so funny being at a Bucky's, you know, every other Bucky's I've ever been to, I've been to one in Alabama, but most of the time I'm in Texas. Uh, it was so funny being out of buckies you know every other buckies i've ever been to i've been to one in alabama but most of the time i'm in texas uh it was so funny i'd walk
Starting point is 00:46:09 in and i would see people with chief stuff on and i'd like freak out for a second i'd be like no way hey and i'm like oh yeah we're we're pretty cool and then k you stopped i was like no way like k state oh no way it fooled me like five different times before i was finally like and you're like now a strafford shirt yeah seriously what are the odds okay i've got to take a picture with you brother who's messing with me yeah steve triplets here uh yeah i saw like two different people i knew like it was like just like a different buckies yeah wow how they were coming back from branson coming back no way yeah they were at like a retreat.
Starting point is 00:46:46 Anyway, so. Shout out to Bucks. Yeah, it was a fun time. So, great time. It was a beautiful Buc-ee's. Yeah, it's massive. Huge. For those going with us to Branson.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Come on. If you're driving. Stopping Buc-ee's the way down, the way back up. I did hear Social Birdie is now also having live music on that friday night which will be awesome and then i also talked to it's time oh my gosh it's time when his friends what would it it wouldn't take that much for me time it does stuff for free hey man here's a 20 can you please play uh seize the day by the newsies yeah friday night's gonna be so fun yeah it's all gonna be so and i talked to them the silver our city people oh we're pumped i did get a little reprimanded uh is that okay to talk about
Starting point is 00:47:33 the podcast you think i think we talked about it last week did we yeah i don't think so i don't think we did we the slogan did we talk about i can't remember i think you and i just like mentioned it real quick oh was it i know I was sitting right here. Yeah. You're like, you get in trouble all the time. Or no, you said that. I said it sounds like something I would get in trouble for. Yeah, that's right. Maybe it was off the podcast.
Starting point is 00:47:51 Go ahead. I think it was. No way of knowing, so. Yeah. Anyway, so it's going to be a good time. No, basically it was like some of our city people were like, hey, we work very closely with the city of Branson. And so having your tagline for this webpage
Starting point is 00:48:08 be Branson is like Vegas for people with no teeth. Probably not the best look. So can you please change it? So now I believe it says Branson is the premier family vacation destination. It's a little better. It's a little better, but. I mean, sales aren't, you know,
Starting point is 00:48:21 they were much better with the no teeth thing. People felt more included, you know, while the unique guns the no teeth thing people felt more included you know while the unique guns people could come but um join us yeah sdc people they were they were hyping me up for this vip spot that we're going to be in they're like it's beautiful it's overlooking something something hollow and i was like i don't know what that is but if you think it's echo hollow i think so it's a decent hollow that's one of the best hollows you're gonna love that hollow so yeah come to branson we we would really appreciate we'd really love to see you guys there um we're performing we're we're planning on some performances one of the things i'm excited
Starting point is 00:48:57 about i think you're excited about too is the idea of doing stand-up comedy ideas that we've never done before yeah let's talk about all the things we're planning have we really said about have we talked in detail what these shows are going to be no i don't think so also because we're figuring them out yeah i was gonna say i don't know if we finalize them but we can we can talk so once again just real quickly friday night it's gonna be very fun we're at these it's a brand new restaurant and or is it a restaurant it's they have frozen custard social birdie yeah i think it has food okay yeah um ton of pickable courts live music golf simulators that's gonna be so fun our games our games we're gonna be there for hours friday night come hang out with us get a free pickleball paddle and
Starting point is 00:49:34 saturdays all day so we're sitting we've got a venue rented out and we're gonna do three to four different kind of performances of sort one will obviously be a live podcast. Bring all of our gear. You guys are invited to come watch us do our thing. Tymon is going to be down all weekend. He and Brad are going to do a concert of sorts. Concerto? Concerto. Concerto?
Starting point is 00:49:59 Yeah, we'll see. Yeah. These are all 80% likely to happen. Yeah, sure. Maybe. see yeah that's a these are all 80 likely to happen um yeah sure maybe next is uh yeah stand-up comedy that we've never done before yes just we have a note in our phone mine is bigger than jake's because jake's been doing stand-up comedy for a long time but uh just going back and forth on you know two minute bits back and forth and if it's funny, then you'll laugh. And if it's not funny, that might be even funnier.
Starting point is 00:50:27 If we just absolutely bomb up there, that's almost more entertaining than actually laughing at it. That might be, yeah, actually best case scenario. And honestly, I might just get even goofier at the time. Like, okay, that wasn't funny. So I guess I'll just try to make you laugh some other way. Take off my shirt or something. And then we have another idea that I think will probably happen,
Starting point is 00:50:48 we're really excited about, is getting my dad on stage and Brad's coach. My coach! That's his coach! I think Uncle John's going to come down. I'll confirm whether or not he's willing to go on stage, but I think he is planning on being at Silverdorfer City, hanging out with us. So if he's down there, we willing to go on stage but i think he is planning on being at silver dollar city hanging out with us so if he's down there we'll get him on stage and really we just want uh just what you guys get to meet him from from that way yeah and just have him tell a bunch of i really wanted there's so many different stories i want to tell everyone i want him to talk
Starting point is 00:51:18 about when he went to the taylor swift concert by himself yep. Yeah. Just a number of other things. It'd be so great. Oh yeah. So much, but I'm imagining him walking out onto the patio of your bachelor party house. And some, I think you said like, you look like one of the three blind mice.
Starting point is 00:51:35 He looks blind. Yeah. Yeah. And Gunner laughing for five minutes. Just that, that provides comedy. I can just predict. I could just see that in my head so
Starting point is 00:51:45 come to brands it's gonna be a blast so it'll be a lot of fun go search our life slash brandon come on come have a rindezvis and branson with us hey everybody's doing it come on everybody's doing it um yeah anyway hey can i talk about healing water this time are you gonna yell at me and say we don't do that anymore. Just one water? You can go ahead. You go ahead. Healing's water. Did I correct myself? It's like Johns Hopkins.
Starting point is 00:52:12 Yeah, that's... What's the deal with that? I don't know. I'm going to Google, what's the deal with Johns Hopkins? What's the deal? I guess that was his name. Oh, no, wait.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Johns Hopkins. It's definitely his name, but why'd they name him Johns? Yeah. Margaret Johns married Gerard Hopkins in 1700. One of their children was named Johns. Okay. The second... Margaret, so yeah. Well, don't...
Starting point is 00:52:50 Johns. Big whoop. Anyway. Healing Waters. Almost said it wrong on accident. Healing Waters International. Yes. It's an organization that we have been partnered with for a while now
Starting point is 00:53:05 and they're keeping the love going so we invite you to keep the love going as well uh we're looking for uh donations you're not donating to us you're not donating to anything we are you know in charge of right you're donating to the people in the village of Chiapas, Mexico, because they do not have access to clean water, drinkable water, water to clean things. And so you give one-time donations. You can give, you can commit to a monthly donation. We've raised so much money already, but we're going to keep it going. Yes.
Starting point is 00:53:39 Can I read a little testimonial about Rosarito? Yes. So Rosarito, it says Rosarito lives in rural Mexico. Rural. Yep. She was married at a young age and had her first child when she was only 13.
Starting point is 00:53:51 Like many women, Rosarito was responsible for collecting and boiling water. She now has 10 children. Every day she takes her children down to the river to collect water for washing clothes and bathing.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Additionally, each of her older children has to carry a jug of water home for cooking. This task consumes a lot of time and is difficult for her entire family. Rosarito shared with Healing Water staff how challenging her life is as it is consumed with collecting and purifying water.
Starting point is 00:54:17 We're currently constructing a community-wide water system in Rosarito's community that will provide safe water directly to her household tap. This means that Rosarito will have consistent access to safe water and will no longer need to make the daily trek to the river. She and her children will also receive important health and hygiene education based in biblical principles designed to instill healthy habits and to remind each one of them of their inherent value.
Starting point is 00:54:39 Rosarito says that Healing Waters represents hope for her children. So your hope provides hope for people like Rosarito. So we thank you guys for being willing to consider Healing Waters. If you want to come hang out with us, golf with us, safewateropen.com. Here coming up post Branson in September in Denver, Golden, Colorado, I suppose, if you will. I suppose.
Starting point is 00:55:03 Castle Pines, Coloradoado if you're crazy if you're nasty give.healingwaters.org slash ghost runners give.healingwaters.org slash ghost runners oh man good work um just i went to bass pro shops the other day which one uh the one in kansas city cool uh actually it's cabela's that's turned bash pros you know that is this aletha no they the one up north oh legends fun uh just took rosie there we had a little daddy rosie date um right before i left for memphis and i love bass pro shops dude it's not bad i like that like just the overall color palette of bass pro like when you're in there i like how brown it is it's just yeah i think that's part of it is like the aesthetic and the feel you're in there and obviously all the animals but honestly what what
Starting point is 00:55:48 gets me pumped more than anything and maybe this is like the millennial in me is like a really well run commercial like brick and mortar business it's kind of rare these days yeah like they are thriving somehow yes still like like uh bass pro shops shields is the same way where you go there and you're like, Bucky's even, it's just like, yeah, there's something life giving about like, you're right.
Starting point is 00:56:09 This really well run place. Like a full parking lot. Yeah. People are excited to be here. Yeah. Like there's a lot of people here, you know? And,
Starting point is 00:56:17 uh, I don't know. I just pumped. Rosie loved it. Rosie had so much fun running around. She like talked to a deer for like five minutes. She just kept saying, hi dear.. Hi, dear. Hi, dear. Hi, dear. Hi, dear. And like, she didn't want to leave. I just kind of let her go. Just like,
Starting point is 00:56:33 however long you need with the deer. Go ahead. Hi, dear. Um, anyway, it's just one of those things where it's just like, I love a well-run, well-run business. That's a good point. Yeah. I'm i'm trying what other times in life is the parking lot full like target on black friday there's something exciting about yeah those like really big shopping days black friday even best buy back in the day i was pumped for i feel like best buys really bummed me out recently because there's like no one there and there's no products somehow they're still in business though i gotta give it give it to them. The washer dryers I feel like, or the appliance. Yeah. I, uh, yeah, I think I'm kind of like you, I haven't realized that about myself, but I do get excited when I see something just
Starting point is 00:57:14 like full or exciting. It's like you drive by like, I don't know, like Popeye's last night, like 10 PM. I was like, wow. Yeah. Wouldn't have thought that like the Popeye's by our house. It feels like it's in a bad spot and it's never getting business. I was like, that's awesome guys. Yeah. There's something just mentally, I mean,
Starting point is 00:57:29 Chick-fil-A is a great example. That's probably, it's bussing the tables of time and tummy. Oh, okay. I thought you meant like they had to wash down the tables. Um, yeah,
Starting point is 00:57:39 I think inherently you assume something is higher quality when more people are there. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Like, I don't know, maybe Popeye's is just as good as Chick-fil-A, but it doesn't feel as good if there's one person in the drive. Yeah. You know, there's just like, just, there's some kind of energy to this idea of all these
Starting point is 00:57:56 people being around. So anyway, just wrote that down. I just love, love a nice, well-run commercial spot. It's nice little brick and mortar. Yeah. It's pretty good. Brick and mortar. Bondi update.
Starting point is 00:58:08 I think last week I talked about how I was told in the code that movement is required, and I was just excited to down to the dumpskin. We're back. Yes. We're back up. There are other coasters at the top again. Yeah, just so back and forth every day. Basically, the more I talk to people, people with the city, people with the development group,
Starting point is 00:58:25 and even Bailey, who started Bondi and has more experience doing this. Bailey was like, oh, a lot of the reasons they say movement's required is just to make sure you dump your gray water or whatever. Just like that way they know they're doing it. It's not that big of a deal. And then one of the guys who works for the development company said kind
Starting point is 00:58:45 of the same thing you did where he's like well define movement maybe i should develop yeah he was like i mean six inches is movement yeah i was like you can really just get around it that easily he's like seems like movement to me it's like all right great yeah i mean i don't even need to unplug i'll just like move back a foot or something. I know. That's crazy. Okay. So yeah, he made it seem like, I mean, yeah, you just go to a different parking spot. Yeah, that's movement. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:11 That really, okay, great. And then I've been talking to other people and they're like, yeah, like municipal code is like somewhat illegal, but someone has to like complain about you. And then a police officer has to care enough to actually go out there and enforce it. Like it's very unlikely to ever be an issue. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:26 As long as like the landlord or whatever. Yeah. They own the property. Yeah. They're okay with it. Yeah. That seems fine to me. If I please him then.
Starting point is 00:59:35 Yeah. So now it seems like, Hey, things are popping again. Okay. But then, you know, now electricity,
Starting point is 00:59:41 it's like, well, if we want to run you your own meter out there, that way you just pay your own electric bill. I'm trying to think how long that would take. I don't know. I'll have to get back to you and let you know. So I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:59:51 I don't know if that takes three days or like three weeks. So yeah, it's going to be way harder. We're actually not going to do it. It's like, all right. Thanks, man. Yeah. I should have known whether that's fun. I get excited.
Starting point is 01:00:00 So there might be a future. You might see an Instagram story from me soon where I say, looking to hire a bunch of people suddenly or start next week. No interview process. Just show up. Just have warm blood in your body. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:14 Two legs. I'm willing to. You don't even need two arms. You can do one. Oh, I would say you need two arms. You need one, at least one leg. No legs. Don't require legs. Just say I would say two or zero on the legs yeah
Starting point is 01:00:28 the hopping is gonna get he's gonna spill stuff well shake the truck oh come on well i count that as two legs good for you good for you that's how i've always seen things good for you man progressive wow yeah my grandpa would never uh yeah how are you gonna because a lot of the people you hired were college students that are 100 of them yeah every single person i hired and trained is no longer available um so yeah i'll have to rehire again but it's like well okay this business starts i don't know mid-september it's got to be open for a little bit like ah okay how much effort do i even put in hiring like yeah i probably should hire a manager but it's just like a month two months how much
Starting point is 01:01:08 it's gonna be tough to recruit someone or do you just try to figure out a way to keep it open yeah that part of me too rachel made that point too she's like you're you're the main entrance to a super target this is going to be busy at least through christmas yeah it's like good point bubs okay nice nice job there sport not so bad bud so we'll see once again if you know anybody you want to work and for like a couple months let me know that's a tough sell how long's the job i don't know good good question it's a yeah i got i got like 150 pounds of granola. So until that runs out. Until we're out.
Starting point is 01:01:46 What will the hours be? I don't know. What do you want them to be? What are you in the mood for? Yeah. You don't, you sleep in? So like what, 9, 9.30? Yeah, just come whenever you want.
Starting point is 01:01:57 10 is good. I'll give you the key. Oh boy. Yes, we'll see. But things are looking better than they have in a little bit. So that's good at least. I would be pumped. All roads lead back to Olathe, boy. Yes, we'll see. But things are looking better than they have in a little bit. So that's good, at least. I would be pumped. All roads lead back to Olathe, baby.
Starting point is 01:02:09 It's all Olathe. Olathe, yeah. Olathe. Olathe. You'd be right by a Crumble Cookie, which is, I mean, they're killing it. I am, yeah. Pretty nearby one, I think. In the same parking lot, right?
Starting point is 01:02:22 Is it? I don't even know. Oh, yes, Crumbles. Yes, it's on the other side, but it is still at Lathes Station, technically. Okay. Yes. I guess I don't know exactly where you would put the truck. I'm at like Strangline, but going into...
Starting point is 01:02:33 Behind Torchy's, basically. Yes, behind Torchy's. Ah, fun. Okay. I was thinking you were closer to Crumble. Yeah, yeah. North side. You're on the southwest side. Exactly. Pretty good. It is a pretty good spot.
Starting point is 01:02:48 It's like kind of an elevated part of the parking lot. I think you're going to see it from the road decently well. And it's truly the main entrance to like, got to be the most successful target in Kansas City. Maybe the world? Tommy, look that up real quick. Most successful target in the world. And then, all right, Johns Hopkins too. Gotcha.
Starting point is 01:03:03 Yeah, why is Jake doing that? That's your job, Tommy. Second most. Second most. Second most in the world. And then, all right, Johns Hopkins too. Gotcha. Yeah. Yeah. Why is Jake doing that? That's your job, Simon. Second most, second most. Second most in the world. Okay. So not bad.
Starting point is 01:03:10 Not bad at all. Oh man. Jake, you are officially grown up. Oh, nice. Yes. You want to talk about it?
Starting point is 01:03:19 The grown up tour is over. Yeah, it was fun. I love Mike L so much. So he's coming. he's doing another concert kid city this fall so i was like would you want to be on the podcast he said dude i would love nothing more i would love to get with the ghosties again he said something like that yes um let's go yeah we should i think he's in town october 22nd it's tuesday fun if i remember correctly so he's down
Starting point is 01:03:41 to be on the podcast again it's be fun um but so when we all landed and kind of got together in Durham uh have you seen people do those like comedy sketches about like the coach's pet a little bit even if you haven't seen people poke fun of it you probably know what that type of person is yeah it's like oh just like the guy that's like says all the right things like Basically, it's a player coach. Yes, a teacher's pet, but for the coach. So Mikel and I kept doing that to everyone about Trey the whole night. Or like the whole day. Like, guys, Trey's right. We have to finish strong tonight.
Starting point is 01:04:17 Was Trey saying those things? No, no. I don't know if anyone else even ever laughed. It was just me and Mikel just cracking each other up. Just such a coach's pet. Like like such a like coach's pad. Like guys, Trey's right. No. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:28 We have to go hard across the finish line. Don't quit now. Yeah. Guys, don't, don't take for granted the time that we have here, guys. Yeah. This is an opportunity. Guys, what would Trey want? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:40 He would want us to finish this like we started it. Guys, don't be looking ahead don't be looking ahead Raleigh's right now and Raleigh they'll get you if you don't get them first alright
Starting point is 01:04:51 come on hey I know we're in a neutral site ain't anything gonna happen but guys remember what Trey taught us okay guys
Starting point is 01:04:59 be funny be funny that's what he taught us guys what are we doing what are we doing lying around we need to watch film. Come on. Let's watch film, guys.
Starting point is 01:05:07 This is Durham. Guys, Trey's right. Trey's right. That's great. We love just doing that all day long. Even if Trey's not watching, what are you doing? Come on. You're hustling between the lines.
Starting point is 01:05:18 Isaac, that's not how you fold a shirt. Hey, guys. Let's call it what I know it's the last show, but for Trey, guys. Let's do it for Trey. Hands in. Let's do it what I know. It's the last show. But for Trey, guys. Let's do it for Trey. Hands in. Let's do it for Trey. Trey on me.
Starting point is 01:05:29 Trey on three. One, two, three, Trey! That was my favorite part of the day, probably. Just goofing with Mike Hell constantly. No, it was a good show. It was great. It was, I don't know, I think 1,900 people bought tickets that night. Wow.
Starting point is 01:05:46 It was a great last show. Really loud, really fun. Ton of ghosties. Raleigh. Huh. In Durham? Raleigh? Raleigh.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Oh, wait, was it Durham? It was technically Durham, but they're like neighboring. Yeah, what do they call them? They call it the triangle or whatever. Bermuda Triangle. No. I think. There's some name for the three cities. The Poconos.
Starting point is 01:06:06 Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh. I don't know the triangle. What are you doing? Gosh, he's just standing there. He's just standing in the corner. The airport's called RDU. Raleigh, Durham. Unite.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Yeah, right in the middle. Unite. Research Triangle. That's what I'm seeing. Research Triangle? Yes. unite yeah right in the middle unite research triangle that's what I'm seeing research triangle yes no he's researching the triangle he's letting
Starting point is 01:06:31 he's giving us like a status update like I'm researching the triangle let me know when you get something it's a it's close in proximity
Starting point is 01:06:37 to three major research universities so that's why it's called the research Chapel Hill Durham Johns Hopkins where is Johns Hopkins Virginia it seems like one of the 13 colonies yeah it's gotta the research chapel hill durham johns hopkins where is john's hopkins virginia it seems
Starting point is 01:06:46 like one of the 13 colonies yeah it's got to be up there it's in baltimore maryland thank you tymon finally 18 minutes later it finally gets to something about j-hop j-hole baltimore maryland which is the capital of maryland that's right yeah and we wait for the people who have layovers in Maryland. But yeah, so it was a great last show. I was talking to the Becks last night. I can talk more about that, but
Starting point is 01:07:16 Molly was asking me, how does it feel? Was it hard or tough? And I was like, I don't know. I think I had enough time to see it you know it's like at the end of you spend six summers at camp and you know when you know like you know when it's time to be not time to be done but yeah you know when it's just like yeah i think you do anything i mean we calculated up thompson over an email it's like 95 show 95 cities 107 shows or something so like that's so you get done doing anything 107 times. You're probably
Starting point is 01:07:45 like, yeah, this is good. I had fun while I was performing, but I'm very much looking forward to like, yeah, no more flights, no more airplanes and more layovers. 107 shows. Yeah, something like that. And that's on this one. So you've probably performed at least 250 times. I'd say that's yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:02 Yeah, that's almost probably exactly right. Because then you got to factor in the because that's not the. Yeah. That's almost probably exactly right. Cause then you got to factor in the, cause that's not the comedy clubs. That's just like from Columbus, um, to now just the theater show. So yeah, who knows?
Starting point is 01:08:12 So yeah, it was, um, crazy. It was a good time. It was spent like 15 months. Um, but yeah,
Starting point is 01:08:18 it's over now. We're just kicking it. Now. The only travel I have is like ghost runners based. Yeah. It's Branson, maybe the golf tournament and then made your roasters. Yeah. Napanee. It's the only travel I have for the Ghost Runners based. Yeah. It's Branson, maybe the golf tournament, and then Maitre Roasters. Yeah, Napanee. It's the only travel I have for
Starting point is 01:08:27 the foreseeable future. Yeah, all of a sudden, I'm the busy one. I don't like it. Traveling to Memphis. Traveling to Hawaii. And Indiana. And Indiana. And? And Texas. Yeah. And South Dakota. Oh, I do have South Dakota planned. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:43 That's a good point pheasant hunting baby pheasant hunting um but yeah so trying to think of other where are the other annoying airport things oh i did one cool thing put your sunglasses on in tsa and said clear baby yeah cyclops is that you i did something kind of cool this week tell us cool boy I felt like I'll give you some clues let me get it I felt like I had either gone back in time
Starting point is 01:09:09 or I was like I was like an 80 year old man got it I got it based on what I did I have it immediately in the airport I have it immediately
Starting point is 01:09:16 he got a shoe shine oh that's a oh is that not it yeah that's not it I was like what shoes did he get shined I don't know why he had certain
Starting point is 01:09:23 these kind of shoes that it was ah shucks that did he get? I don't know why he had certain these kinds of shoes. That it was, ah, shucks. That's a great guess. I would say right on par with that. Maybe a little younger than that, but that's a great guess. This was at a restaurant. Oh, he ordered an old fashioned.
Starting point is 01:09:44 He at a restaurant, you tip somebody $100. Oh. You played like checkers with a stranger. Oh, that's fun. There was like a checkers table there. It was the opening to A Bug's Life. I did that whole, or whatever movie that was. Oh, yeah. The Pixar short.
Starting point is 01:09:56 Whoever's game. Jerry's? Jerry's game? Hunger? Jer-hole. Jer-hole's game. G-hole's game. That's Grandpa G-hole. Jer-hole's game. G-hole's game. That's Grandpa G-hole.
Starting point is 01:10:08 Okay. At a restaurant. Something cool. I was going to say you called the waitress sweetheart or something, but that's not cool. You're like, oh, I'm cool. So cool. Restaurant.
Starting point is 01:10:25 Oh, oh, I'm cool. So cool. Restaurant. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Slipped the guy a little bit of money to get a table. Like bribed the host. Yeah. I did that one time. I got a quick layover. Yeah. Where did you say this was?
Starting point is 01:10:39 Sorry. This is Nashville. Layover in Nashville. I was going to say, because like. Layover in Nashville. It wasn't a restaurant you like go to. You couldn't be like,
Starting point is 01:10:46 I'll get the usual. Oh, yeah. I had eaten here one time before. That's when you're traveling. I got my spots. Correct answer is, so pretty quick,
Starting point is 01:10:56 I had like 30 minutes before my flight boarded and I'm hungry. And so I was like, I'm going to go to this breakfast spot and it takes a while to get seated.
Starting point is 01:11:03 Then it takes a while to order. I'm trying to like scarf down my food. And then I'm like, can I hurry and get the check? My flight boards soon. They don't come back in time. My flight is boarding. So then I looked through the menu to see how much what I ordered was. And it was like a $3 pancake and a $3 side of turkey sausage.
Starting point is 01:11:20 They brought me regular sausage, I'm pretty sure. So I only had one bite of it. But anyway, I was like, all right, that will come up to like seven after tax. So I just left a $10 bill on the table, put it under the plate and just left. Okay. So that that's cool. Very cool, man. Isn't that kind of fun? Just leaving money behind, just, just dining and dashing, but yeah, with cash, I feel like an old man what kind of place at the airport are you getting three dollar pancakes that's a that's a steal yeah but
Starting point is 01:11:51 then also three dollar small patty that's where they make make it up oh like just one little one little circle yeah man that's tough but the pancake was great anyway yeah um so i just left it felt dirty but cool and it felt fair at the same time i think she got like a 30 tip so she'll be all right if they don't have any tax if there's no tax and i read everything correctly then yes that's pretty good uh very cool man so cool i i i walked out of the plane so smug it's me guys like i thought it was funny i carry cash um yeah i got a little cash that's pretty cool you doing anything cool i this is the coolest thing i've done this week and it's not that cool to other people but to me i was on a walk the
Starting point is 01:12:37 other day and at night in a little bit of a wooded area there was a deer i stared it in the face one minute he stood there. To the point where I was like, is this deer even real? Try to feed it. I always try to fake feed animals. Maybe we'll get closer. But what if they do? I pet them, domesticate them. I bring them
Starting point is 01:12:58 home to Rachel. Yikes. That'd be so fun. You think it'd be fun to have a deer? If I had a house with a fence, yes, I would bring things home. I would put them back there. Yes, most deer species can be tamed. Thank you, Tymon. All over.
Starting point is 01:13:13 What a guy. Yeah. Most. Most. I don't love the word most. I like the chance. Yeah. That'd be cool.
Starting point is 01:13:21 I mean, then again, I don't know. Deer, I could do better. Yeah, and most common method is like you domesticate them when they're like one week old. So you don't have a great shot with like a random wild one. Well, you don't know how old they are. I stumbled on a one week old. Oh, perfect.
Starting point is 01:13:37 I'll domesticate it. All right. Excuse me. Come home. Grab it by the back of the neck. Yeah, right. What else? You can do better than a deer.
Starting point is 01:13:51 Pig? No. I mean mean not realistically could do better but in a perfect world yeah cheetah panther tiger lion that'd be sweet if it was like mine okay cheetahs are not good pets and should not be domesticated okay i'm just looking up look up can i keep a piranha in a tank okay that'd be kind of fun party trick not that fun it just takes once it just takes one slip up it just takes one time
Starting point is 01:14:14 where you're yes you can but they can be difficult to care for and require a lot of space a lot of space yeah a lot of space
Starting point is 01:14:21 they need some time hey I've had a rough day I'm gonna need some space can you just get another rock in here? I can swim in. Let me just stay out of my tank. Yikes. Dude.
Starting point is 01:14:34 Yeah. I would accidentally put my hand in there or something or bow would. It's like all of a sudden that would stink. How quickly do you think? Let's say that the prana is right where you are and I'm right here. How quickly would it fly? Like swim to me don't know they seem quick it seems crazy quick yeah like unbelievably like you can't even barely react quick have you seen one piranha though like i think they're only dangerous in like a group of a lot right oh is that right timon i
Starting point is 01:15:01 think look it up well i think you can like i would not be worried whatsoever with one tank one piranha oh whatsoever no stop i mean whatsoever because i first of all i'll be like i don't think i'm gonna accidentally put my hand in there but if i did i'm getting it out and it's not gonna it's gonna maybe like bite me once dude i don't know if they do that i think they just like slice you up they're like scissors I've looked up some things it looks like team Tymon so far they are not typically dangerous to humans they are more likely to avoid people they prefer to eat other fish and wounded animals
Starting point is 01:15:35 don't be wounded be strong attacks on humans are rare usually involve minor injuries such as small nips shoot how do they small nips. Wait, shoot. They give you. How do they? Small nips.
Starting point is 01:15:48 How do they know? If it's just my hand in the water, how does that happen? Such as small nip. Never mind. Go ahead. Such as small nips to the hands or feet. Oh, I should have read the rest of the sentence. Minor injuries such as small nips.
Starting point is 01:16:03 It's not really an injury. That's so funny. Small nips. Yeah. So I don't know. One piranha. I still would not say I would not be scared whatsoever. Okay.
Starting point is 01:16:19 I'm sorry. I still, I would be nervous if I like. Also look at my hands. I spilled my drink earlier. Remember last week I was like, I would never just put my drink... Also, look at my hands. I spilled my drink earlier. Remember last week? I was like, I would never just put my drink next to your laptop. Exhibit B.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Exhibit B. Sorry, go ahead, Tom. I don't think I'd want one, but I think it'd be fun if like someone in my life had one and like, hey, you want to see it do its thing? And it throws a hot dog in there and we see it go nuts. 100%. That'd be fun. That's why they have zoos. That's why you have places
Starting point is 01:16:45 where you can go and watch animals do things and then leave them and not be worried all day. Not be worried. The piranha got out and it's going to get me. Have they made like a sci-fi movie about like a Jurassic Park but like the piranhas got too big or anything?
Starting point is 01:17:02 Not that I know of. Did you hear, kind of like like, they're growing mammoths? What? Like lab grown? I just saw, I think they're like lab growing a woolly mammoth. I feel like. You look that up and get back to us.
Starting point is 01:17:16 How big are woolly mammoths? Are they bigger than elephants? Oh yeah, I think so. I feel like everything back then was bigger. Well, look at Noah's Ark. Exhibit one. Maybe I will. When I go to Indiana.
Starting point is 01:17:32 Was it Kentucky? Is that where that is? You been timing? Nope. Dang. It seems like you should have. I googled mammoth versus elephant. Mammoths are distinguished by their spirally twisted tusks. Did we know that was a thing? Spirally twisted?
Starting point is 01:17:51 Like they have a corkscrew? Yeah, they can screw into things. That's pretty cool. Oh, yeah, mammoths. Way bigger. Good timing. What are you talking? Twice as big?
Starting point is 01:18:02 No. 1.5. All right. All right. Yeah, okay. It looks like some people are working to bring back the mammoth,
Starting point is 01:18:10 the dodo bird, and other extinct species using the latest cloning and genetic engineering techniques. What's the deal with the dodo? Why don't we figure out breast cancer first?
Starting point is 01:18:18 I would say so. Is that okay? Can we do that instead of bring back the dodo bird? Do you think the same people that have abilities to bring back mammoths
Starting point is 01:18:24 are the ones that are like, I can solve those small nips. Science is science, right? It's all the same. You got your science degree. Yeah, just like a lawyer. If you're doing anything science related, you should be. Yeah. Cancer research.
Starting point is 01:18:38 I don't care about the dodo. My friend Matt Gilbert, he's a doctor, and I asked him some question about like something sore in my shoulder the other day. He's like, I mean, yeah, it's probably a different kind of doctor that would know more about that. I'm like, oh, yeah, sorry. I just think that, you know, everything. I don't want to hear it. I want answers. Right.
Starting point is 01:18:54 Figure it out. Lab guard mammoth. Hey. Mace Roasters. Mind if we talk about it? Mind. No, don't mind. Wait, dare I?
Starting point is 01:19:04 Shut. Truth or dare. Truth or dare. or dare yeah all right are you uh dare oh i dare you yeah to tell me your biggest secret okay okay right now my web browser where what your way your my web browser is on MainStreetRoasters.com. What is that? But you can get there if you also go to www.MainStreetRoasters.com. What is that? It's a coffee company based out of Napa Knee, Indiana. Napa Knee.
Starting point is 01:19:40 Napa Knee from the Rendesvis. Napa Know How. That's how I remember it. Napa Know How. Napa Knee. Napa Knee from the Rendesvis. Napa Know How. That's how I remember it. Napa Know How. Napa Knee, Indiana. Yes. It's on Brad's Browsner, and it's in my cup, and it's in my stomach, and it's in your mind because I'm talking about it.
Starting point is 01:19:54 Get your coffee. Get your beans. Get your grounds. And mugs and t-shirts and other stuff, but mainly coffee is what they sell. They're great. Good coffee. Good smells. Good smells. Good gift.
Starting point is 01:20:07 GRKC is the promo code to get 10% off your Main Street Roasters order. Yes. Order of any size. Big, small, medium? Extra large. Yeah. XL? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:17 Mammoth size. Mammoth size. I bought some stuff off AliExpress, some clothes off AliExpress recently, and it said, keep in mind, these are Asian sizes. That's so funny. I wouldn't have thought of that. So I'm an XL in Asia.
Starting point is 01:20:35 No way. Yeah. I'm a sumo size in Asia. You have to size two up in Asia because they're just smaller. I can't wait for you to get it. And it's actually like not accurate. And you just have an XL shirt. That has happened yeah they just came in and those shorts are big so some of it translated well like most of the shirts are mediums but then one pair of shorts is just like a 38 waist short so whatever anyway mage roasters.com get your coffee here yes grkc for 10% off. Get some. Have some. Get some. All right. What else do you want to talk about, Jacob? Let's see. It was fun.
Starting point is 01:21:14 Friday pickleball video last week. One out of 10. Video with the boys. Really fun. It's nice to see that. Yeah, doing well. And then give Tymon some props. We've kind of, in a way kind of figure
Starting point is 01:21:26 out a way to like collaboratively collaboratively i got speech dameron collaboratively um edit our next video together which has been kind of fun the two of you yes a little bit um all you're wondering how do we do it i'll explain it um in a way that you would understand it thank you so timon took the the wood okay and he's first of all he synced the the wood audio with the wood video oh okay like the the cutting of the wood with the yes okay um specifically putting the the gopro wood footage with the go with the lav mic wood audio well i sanded it first and he sanded it i see you you had screws and you had glue but you put them both together i don't know oh yeah i get it i get it keep going um he also uh he shot some wood for me and he put some like titles
Starting point is 01:22:36 on top of the wood okay subtitles or like yeah so wood to subtitles you're you following oh yeah is making sense that was easy i figured if i didn't say it like this, you wouldn't get it. Yeah. And then he put that all into one wood for me, which is nice. Oh, okay. A single piece of wood. Like he glued it all together. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:22:54 Are you sanding it? I don't know. Are you going to like scrub it down at all, you know? I have no idea. Nope. And then? And then I have been. Furnished, lacquering, finishing. idea. Nope. And then. And then I have been. Furnished.
Starting point is 01:23:06 Lacquering. Finishing. Yes. Yeah. Uplate lacquer. Yeah. Recently. Okay.
Starting point is 01:23:12 What's the video? Now it makes sense to everyone. Yeah. Who does woodworking, I think. I think so. This is the like, like Isaac and I's like 4.0 PPA tournament experience. Like the vloggy kind of. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:23 So it's out now by the time you're listening to this, but's been fun it's been fun to edit again and like edit videos i haven't edited in a long time this isn't just comedy this is like trying to find the right music for a moment like i've been doing this in years and i'm you know just how many different adjectives can i type in well you know copyright free upbeat motivational all right that didn't really give me what copyright free violin motivational let's see what that no that's too soft up copyright free background music hip-hop violin inspiring like oh that okay there's a good option you know just trying to like mix and match all this different music stuff but it's fun and it's fun to edit and um so yeah hopefully
Starting point is 01:24:05 people enjoy the video it'll be fun cool i do love the idea of like changing one word in google because it can yeah it just gives you new results yeah i really wish youtube would learn like these aren't the videos i want to be suggested this is like for a task you know i get on youtube homepage it's like hey uh bonafide beats hip-hop r&b copyright free yeah it's like you gotta go incognito or something no i don't want that yeah like clear this history from my preferences yeah you can have like different profiles it should be like certain moods like i'm in editing mood right now okay yeah that's what i need to put in there but we'll work on it i think most of the people on youtube are video editors oh so they'll they'll cater to
Starting point is 01:24:46 you yeah uh but that's been fun just uh and boy is it fun editing with old mallet finger you're so close yeah so close how many have you have you thought or is it just like nope black and white i'm not taking it off dude i want to take it off this morning even rachel like i'm kind of waking up my alarm is going off and i'm still kind of asleep even rachel like i'm kind of waking up my alarm is going off and i'm still kind of asleep but rachel's like leaving for school so she's like hey i'm heading out for school and i was like have a good day i'm so sick and mallet finger oh really it's like oh it's like i wake up thinking about it i wake up just annoyed by so yes i want it off because i'm so confident it's healed i don't need this thing anymore
Starting point is 01:25:22 but then rachel is like the reason is like, why not? Just they said to do it six weeks. Just do it six weeks. I'm like, all right. You'd regret it so hard if it wasn't healed. And like, what if what if I just left it on one more week? Yeah. Four more days. What if that was the difference? Yeah. It's like I can't imagine
Starting point is 01:25:40 the difference, but I'll be fine. You don't know. It's like the seatbelt. Just put it on. Yeah. So a few more days. You got it, buddy. Thanks, bud. Oh, but I'll be fine. But you don't know. It's like the seatbelt. Just put it on. Yeah. So you have a few more days. You got it, buddy. Thanks, Budzo. Oh, it's off right now. Yep. It's so fine with it off. It's going backwards. It's good. What if it ends up...
Starting point is 01:25:55 It just falls down. It's backwards now. It's like a little bit leaning the wrong way now. Oh, man. Here's a mallet update. But yeah, feels good to be a video editor this week and looking through all this stuff and i bet it does because you're really good at it obviously you've done it for a long time but it probably feels good not to feel like you have to do it so excessively yeah i'm glad i don't have to do this all the time but it's like
Starting point is 01:26:20 hey if i care enough about the project i want like my kind of fingerprints my mallet prints over it um yeah it's been really fun and is it going to be a longer video i don't think so necessarily well i don't know i it's got to come out in two days and i don't have that much done so i don't know okay gonna be some late nights probably just like the old days yeah um but yeah hopefully could summarize it well and doing some voiceovers and doing some montages and just trying to make it fun and make it me I like took some clips from like dumb and dumber and putting those in there's some like Chris Farley stuff like just when I did like the very first serve of the day like all right I like I just got done editing this montage like all these like hater comments like building on this moment I'm like today's the day the ppa tournament time to prove everyone wrong it begins now and then i serve the ball out to start and then so i cut to like
Starting point is 01:27:10 man you are one pathetic loser so hopefully they like still add some humor that's awesome not take away from it too much so i'm excited i'll watch it thanks i'll watch them all i'll watch them i'll watch them all watch them all. My dad said he's been getting into pickleball and has been watching the tutorial videos we've done. Yeah. He's like, it's been helpful. It is. I was like, that's great.
Starting point is 01:27:30 It's good to know. I played pickleball in Memphis and I... Oh, I saw that. I didn't see any Fridays in the photo. I should have hooked you up to send to him. I know. I don't know why I didn't bring... I didn't even bring my paddles.
Starting point is 01:27:39 We had to borrow from Uncle Bert. Gross. Yeah. He gave us like Amazon paddles. Just, they were fine. How was pickleball? It was fun,
Starting point is 01:27:50 dude. Uh, get excited for a social bird. Oh yeah. Always. It was a fun time. I feel like the guys I played with were aptly skilled. They weren't great.
Starting point is 01:28:00 And so therefore I didn't feel bad when I messed up and I felt pretty good when I did. Well, you know what I mean? Like kind of probably how tymon feels when he's playing with his friends versus when he's playing with you guys it's like sorry guys i swear i better than this you know tymon you've been playing quite a bit yeah yeah decent amount yeah i said time with a voice memo i was like hey i'm driving i'm actually driving to pickleball right now but yada yada and i was like i'm headed to pickleball right now. Dude, did you end up playing something else?
Starting point is 01:28:27 Oh, yeah. We'll talk about Wednesday. The Becks. The Beckers. Yeah, you've been just going up to Bodark by yourself with friends? I typically try to get some friends there because I like to have some
Starting point is 01:28:42 people that I know. It's also fun and helpful to play with strangers to like get better have you gone straight up by yourself before uh i could maybe once i don't i don't love it i don't like that right but it's still like how's the competition up there it's i mean everyone's better than me so uh pretty good pretty good that's great yeah you will get much better that way yeah I think it's a good way to get better I think yeah I can't go as much
Starting point is 01:29:07 as I would want to if I was really trying to get like good yeah but I mean I don't care that much but it's just fun
Starting point is 01:29:14 yeah yeah good times yep good dude that's good reviews of the week yeah
Starting point is 01:29:22 my website isn't working so I have to pull up my phone. Some old man. All right. Rachel Martin, Rachel spelled AEL. Weirdo. Calls it five star view.
Starting point is 01:29:37 The people's podcast. This podcast is truly remarkable as it is like no other podcast I've listened to. Jacob Brown are only funny and entertaining. Let's to, but truly feel like friends from far away. One thing that I believe sets apart Jake and Brad from other podcasts is that they listen and care about their fans. Even though I've never met them before, I hope to one day, I can see that they are genuine and sincere people who bring joy to my life. I love the way they bring the fans into the podcast and discuss comments and posts from the Facebook group. Oh,
Starting point is 01:30:05 talk about some Facebook, Facebook or other social media platforms. It truly feels like you've contributed a small part to the podcast to help bring light and joy to others. When I'm feeling overwhelmed or anxious, one thing that helps us listen to the podcast, it helps remind me that we are not alone in our struggles in life and God is
Starting point is 01:30:23 still in control. I believe God has blessed you both with this beautiful community and outlet to help share his love and gospel to others. So with that said, thank you, Jake and Brad. Wow. Not bad. Thanks, Rachel. Yeah. Thank you, Rachel. Very kind of you. Five-star Rachel. Mine is from farmhand98, five-star reviews. Love it. It says, I should have done this a long
Starting point is 01:30:45 time ago. I am from Hiawatha, Kansas, and I met time in this past weekend. Just kidding. It is a long fuse. I was crying, laughing at work this morning and realized it was high time. I leave a podcast review. I'm a Spotify elitist. Same. I'm a, I'm a Spotify listener guys. You yeah. Yeah. Yeah. These guys are the funniest clean clowns on the market. Clean clowns. Every Monday and Wednesday are highlights of my week. Don't even get me started on the ghosty community. Basically, you know it's a good thing if it's surrounded by good people.
Starting point is 01:31:16 I love you guys. Eat more limes. Jesse. This has got to be JP, dude. Oh, Jess. Oh, farmhand. Should have been. Eat more limes.

While you do that, I think we will go ahead and say Wednesday's episode, I will share information about this year's Ghost Runners Fantasy Football Leagues. I think we will... Starting point is 01:32:12 Can I be in? And I said, I think we can arrange that. You're one of the leagues. Yeah, pay for my ticket to Maui and I will... We can do that. All right. Ending with a jingle. This is kind of a continuation of last week's Main Street Roasters jingle.
Starting point is 01:32:28 This is a song by Surfaces that doesn't have an instrumental. So we're doing it. Ah-ca-pa-la. Okay. Tymon, did you learn the song? It's okay if you didn't. I didn't. Tymon, did you learn how to beatbox?
