Happy Wednesday, Ghosties.
Tymon is once again pretending to have pneumonia
because we won't put him on camera.
He's not with us today.
But this morning, I mean, seconds before you came
in this door, I discovered something on Instagram.
I was looking through some Friday Pickleball content pieces
and some ads that we had posted.
I was like, wow, this ad only went live yesterday.
It has 22 comments already.
You don't really see anything like that.
I was like, how is this working?
And I had forgotten that I had asked Timon
to be in an ad for us.
Like, hey, would you mind being like,
I'm a beginner pickleball player, yada, yada.
I think we talked about it in the past.
Timon was like, I'm just straight up lying on camera.
And I'm like, now I beat all my friends, whatever.
In the 22 comments are 100% from ghosties.
It's so cool.
That's awesome.
Just every single comment. Timmon is the talent now?
Oh my gosh, Tymon, too obsessed.
Let's go Tymon.
Y'all, I found Tymon on my For You page.
Kind of.
Go Tymon.
I feel like I got a golden ticket.
T on ad.
T on ad.
Go off Tymon.
Keep beating your friends, you champ.
Tymon must have really impressed the boys in Vegas.
He's starring in ads now.
T on C. I mean, way to go the boys in Vegas. He's starring in ads now. T on C.
I mean, way to go T-Bone.
T-Bone.
I like it.
Yeah, I like the idea of like strangers,
like not understanding who this guy is.
We're just getting in on it.
All right, T-Square, like let's go.
T-T.
Yeah.
Patrick Jaromin, you could tell this guy's an actor.
It's T on C.
Just everyone, so many comments.
Everyone called him T called him TOC.
Someone posted a Timon from Lion King GIF of Timon
just like dancing in the hula skirt.
And then my favorite one is Sarah McCracken commented,
hang on, is that dot dot dot dot young Jesus?
Ghosties are so, that's just so fun.
That's hilarious that you're like cracking a joke in the comments of an ad, that's just so fun. That's hilarious that you're cracking a joke
in the comments of an ad, of a targeted Instagram ad.
That's awesome.
For other ghosties to see.
Someone else, T on scene and FPA,
pretty pickable ad I guess.
Yeah, okay, FPA.
Daniel Hilton, wait, dot dot dot.
Isn't that the guy from the smash hit
community theater production of Sense and Sensibility?
It's just so funny.
Thank you guys for being just consistently amazing
across the internet.
So I texted to Tymon, I was like,
dude, this is such a good decision.
Check out the comments on this.
Tymon said, how did that manage to cross the feed
of every person who listens to Ghostrunners?
Yeah, all 22 of them.
It's so funny.
That's awesome, dude.
Well, Tymon's famous in more than one way.
Yep, and he's getting too famous.
That's why he's not with us today.
Yeah, he's got pneumonia.
Pneumonia, I don't wanna see you no more.
Yeah, to my known, yeah.
Yep, Rachel, your turn.
I don't know.
Wasn't into the microphone anyway, so.
She said, oh, that was so funny.
Oh, Mike.
Oh, you think you can reseed in the mic
no it wouldn't be the same it would be the same just roll it oh I think this
type means that it's going down with some random thoughts and white meat to
Midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat so come along let's have some fun
and go ahead get on your feet. This is a ghost
We've got Rachel here again just for a brief moment though
Should we do a little schmores while Rachel's here? Little schmores action. And then you can go off pretending to work or whatever you gotta do.
Jake, give us a letter.
Okay, we're gonna go with W.
Rachel, give us a word that starts with W.
Water.
Water.
Oh.
We did schmores of water,
but we could do schmores of watery things.
What about water features?
Water based things. Water, what do you mean water features? Water based things.
Water, what do you mean by features?
Water activities.
Like tributary.
Oh.
Oh.
I don't know if you can follow that.
Like what if we did like.
Reservoir.
Love how that's spelled.
Delta, is that a water?
Yeah, these are all actually great.
Ith myth.
Ith myth.
Oh, merry Ith myth.
Yeah.
Oh, you're getting divorced?
Two Ith mythes. Oh, that Vince Vaugh. Yeah. Oh, you're getting divorced. Two Ithmases.
Oh, that Vince Vaughn movie, Four Chrith.
Four Ithmases, yeah, Vince Vaughn.
Do you wanna do that?
No.
What about just like water activities?
Water activities.
Water activities.
All right.
Is that okay with you?
Yep, love it.
Love it.
In Prop 2 Schmores.
In Prop 2 Schmores. Hey, computer's down, guys. Everyone, computer's down? Everyone, time is okay with you? Yep. All right. Love it. Love it in Prop 2 Schmores. Prop 2 Schmores. Hey computers down guys
Everyone computers down. Everyone time is up computers down
Jake you go first and then Rachel and then Brad. Is that okay? Yep. Okay, great. I'm gonna go I'm gonna make notes. That's it
I'm gonna I'm gonna
Specify here. This is like a permanent
Slip and slide.
Oh yeah.
That's my favorite water activity.
Not one that you roll out in the backyard
and it's flat and you kind of roll off it,
you get grass and you're scratching.
I'm talking like, this is a permanent part of like
Canna Cut Camps or this water resort or something,
Splash Harbor, something where 12 months a year,
you can slip and slide down this massive hill.
That's as good as it gets for me, water activities.
That is heavenly.
Put some soap on it, really slippery.
Yes, when the campers are away, baby oil.
Yeah, P. Diddy style.
It's fun.
Okay, my turn?
I can't do it very well, but the three seconds I've been able to,
the surfing behind the boat. Oh wake surfing
Wake surfing. Okay
No, I cannot do anything that requires balance or athleticism. Oh, yeah, really can't I really can't you're not a bouncer
No rollerblading so hard
Interesting she didn't grow up doing it. No skiing tough
Wake surfing tough. Yeah, Catherine can do all that stuff
and she's not a sports girl.
You're one or the other, or both.
Or neither.
Or none of them.
Yeah, we went surfing in Maui
and they're like, Brad, are you gonna try?
I was like, no, none of them.
I'm gonna do pole-poles.
What is it called?
Toes to poles.
What was it?
Toes to bar. Toes to bar. Yeah. What was it? Toes to bar.
Toes to bar.
Yeah.
I thought it rhymed for some reason.
Yeah.
Pole pulls.
Wake surfing.
Good answer.
Good answer.
Good answer.
I'm gonna go isthmus.
Water-based activities.
Give me, give me
tubing.
I love me some tubing.
I like y'all's picks better than mine already.
No, slip and slide's great.
I think it's tough.
I'm trying to like be strategic about like,
I love all these things, but like,
what are the ones that people might choose?
So give me tubing.
Tubing's great.
Love me a tube.
What's your ideal driver while you're tubing?
I think I have someone in mind.
I'll say three words.
Go crazy Scorsese.
I want that driver to be so adamant
about getting me off of that tube.
Yeah, I want them to see it as a competition too.
It's them in the waves versus my forearm strength and wit.
Time, you think you can get me off?
I'd love to see you try to get me off in five seconds
if you can. do whatever you gotta do
Maybe not maybe not like the like rev it up and then kill it real quick and then you just fall in don't that's not
Fun. Yeah, but yeah, throw me out of that wake. I don't care. I love it
There's been times where I'm tubing and I'm thinking like I'm actually getting mad at the guy driving like this is so dangerous
But what do I do? Hold on a little tighter? It works. It really motivates me not to fall off
What's so is tubing that dangerous though? You just fall off and just?
Skip on the water. You know I mean of course it's dangerous everything can go in like 30 or so
I mean 25 with someone else in the tube you could bump heads elbows or knees. That's probably where it's dangerous you both fall off
Knee yourself in the nose
Knees knees to nose needs to know I think I actually know a girl that she fell out of a tube,
tubing and like broke a bone in her face on the water.
Ooh. Really?
Yes. Like hit it that hard?
Like it's like, you're going that fast.
Yeah. I'm sure people out there will be like, yeah,
tubing is actually very dangerous if you,
if you don't hang on.
If you hit a log in the water, it's like, yeah, I know.
It's an act of God.
All right, tubing and then tried's like, yeah, I know. Like. It's an act of God. All right.
Tubing and then tried and true, but I love it.
Diving board.
Yes.
Love me a diving board.
There's so much you can do with it.
I thought about it.
Yeah.
Diving boards are so fun.
Diving boards are fun.
Yes.
I mean, you can, you can, I'm either talking residential diving board or even the one commercial.
Yeah.
The commercial one where you can crank it, you know?
In like a just where the fulcrum is.
Yes.
Oh, so fun.
You can throw things, catch things.
You can try to jump into the tube from it.
Jump in the tube is a classic.
Right, when I do my last final jump,
you give me a letter.
Yep.
Boing, bee.
Oh, you like make the bee.
Yeah, or just like animal sports logo.
You throw in the ball, you get one point for catching the ball, you get one point for catching the ball.
You get one point for answering the question.
And another one if you could throw it back.
Oh, very good.
See, come to Goosey.
I wanted to go do that now.
Yeah, divey board.
Something special about him.
That's so fun.
All right. That's my second one.
OK, mine is any type of water slide.
So that could be like a roller coaster or it could be just your body going on the slide.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. I don't think it's a roller coaster.
Well, I mean, like the log ride.
Like, no, no, no. OK.
Sorry. Water slide or water or water ride.
You're not sliding on a log.
Yeah, it's like you're kind of sliding around.
But then at the end, the part of the log ride that makes it so fun is when you when you get that conveyor belt going up.
I think water slide is like my body, my skin is the upper ass. Then I'm switching mine
to the ride. Water ride. That's what I had in mind. Really? Like water rides? Because
the slide hurts my back. Okay. Does it? What is a water slide? The kind what about ones
in you know, you're on an inner tube on a slide. Oh rats. Does that,
that sounds like a water slide to me. That seems like a water slide too.
So basically I'm still going ride. I'm still going ride. Okay. Okay. Yeah.
Just like no, nothing mechanical because of what I'm imagining is you're at the
amusement park. It's July 15th. It's so hot. Yep. And you packed extra clothes.
So you can get what you're wearing right now. So what did you do?
Lockers back at the amusement park?
No, I thought we were way too trusting.
Yeah. Yeah.
Or just like my mom was like, yeah, where do you spend money?
That seems so expensive.
Oh, yeah. We were going we were checking out of the park
to eat the lunch that we had packed and then we were walking back into the park.
I love it. Good for you.
Yeah, I love it.
Anytime Rachel brings up a scenario where she's like, I had such a tough time as a kid knowing whether or not we had money or not.
Like we would go on these vacations, but then we would act so poor on the vacation.
I was like, I don't know if we, if my parents even make money.
I can't tell at all what's happening.
Yeah. My dad's always, always talking about the weather.
We need rain.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Okay.
But then like you have it all.
July's like peak season.
And he's always like, we gotta get back to work.
We gotta get back to school.
I need to get paid.
You get paid your own.
But then like you have an RV.
Yeah.
Well, most people don't have an RV.
My head's freaking out about the rain.
I don't know what's going on.
Very confusing.
But okay, so water ride.
Water ride.
Water ride.
Yep.
Okay. I'm gonna go boogie boarding.
I loved a boogie board.
The right waves, boogie boarding is a trip.
You give me a three to five foot wave
off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida.
Yeah. Maybe Amelia Island.
You are in heaven.
Yeah, Gulf of Mexico has got some waves.
Gulf, a little smaller.
Are they?
Yeah, you're gonna wanna go on the coast probably.
Okay.
But I love boogie boarding.
It's like, it's the skiing to snowboarding.
Those who can't snowboard ski,
those who can't surf, boogie board.
Yep.
And I'm happy with that.
I love to boogie board.
I love when you get just thrown into that wave
on the boogie board.
Sometimes it's like, I don't know which way's up.
And this is awesome.
I just, nothing makes me feel like a kid that,
how would you word that sentence?
Nothing makes me feel like a kid quite like
playing around the ocean.
It's awesome.
We did it at the Gulf Shores trip this year
and it was so fun.
Oh, I've been playing the ocean for days, bro.
That's fun.
It was great.
So yeah, boogie boarding.
Okay.
So fun.
And then even though I acted like water slides were my pick,
it feels like we talked about them enough.
So I'm going to move on.
I'm going to choose a different one.
Good for you.
I'm going to choose, this is a little specific.
When you go to like, it was water parks.
What's at the very top of the water park?
A big old bucket.
That's being filled for,
I don't know, five minutes, 10 minutes,
sometimes it feels like an hour.
Like, man, I've been waiting down here forever.
Ah, the anticipation.
And that big bucket dumps over.
That's so fun.
I love that as a kid.
Big old bucket?
Big old bucket.
Big old bucket.
B-O-B.
I love the big old bucket.
Big old bucket, all right.
The kids are freaking out at the bottom.
Like even as I went into middle school and I wasn't below big old bucket, BBOB, I still
kind of enjoyed like from a distance watching it fill up and watching it start to tilt.
You're always watching it.
It's just, it's like a bonfire.
I think my eyes are just going to be drawn to this.
It's kind of tilt in, tilt in, tilt in.
Oh, oh, it's not tilting anymore.
The cruise ship had a miniature big old bucket.
And?
And I really liked watching it.
I watched the kid, the kid's joy.
I get it.
Nice.
All right.
Big old bucket.
Okay. I'm going to do Marco Polo.
You can play that for so long.
It's so fun.
How loud do you have to say Polo?
Oh, not that loud.
Okay.
As long as it's making noise.
Yep.
And you can be so tricky.
Jake sipping his tea.
It's a teaspoon.
Yeah.
So, okay.
We'll play.
Marco.
Polo.
Really?
You can hear it.
Yeah.
Do you mess with them if you're really far away?
Do you yell?
Yes.
And if they're close.
Rachel's always messing. You should hear her talk about heads up seven up.
Yes, I was a little rascal.
So if the person's, if Marco, I guess, is close to you,
you let them get close to you,
and then you act like you're scared, like,
Polo!
And then you hold your breath really quick,
go underwater, make a loud splash,
and then you pound off the wall of the pools
so they think that you're swimming by them,
and then you just brush your hand by them
so they can feel the water by them.
But then you're actually holding on.
You stay in place.
And you're staying in that spot.
Oh, so you don't touch them?
Because if you touch them.
No, you just need to move the water by them
so they feel a little.
Oh, and then they pull.
Yep.
Move water and you stay.
And then they think they went by you
and they'll turn around.
Yeah.
And then you open your eyes underwater
and then you have vision problems rest your life
Give me give me even like just a little bit of like like really sell it get some water like you're already halfway down like
And you're pushing the water that's genius
Maddie Madeline whoever does the gifts that you just got another one.
Man, it's hard to do that without spitting over there.
By the way, it's awesome. I've been loving the gifts.
So far, all the gifts she just respond.
I love that she responds to every single post with a gift she made.
It's awesome. Keep doing it.
Yeah. Eventually we'll figure out a way to make a mainstream
where you just search Ghost Runners. Yeah, it's gonna happen. Yeah, it just takes time
I don't know how the Giphy keyboard works, but so good
Cuz yeah, if you're underwater you don't have to obviously say anything
So genius
Alright, um, my next one is going to be Lazy River. I love a lazy river, but you can't be lazy in it.
That's the fun part about a lazy river is it feels like a moving walkway for water,
like where you're just like fly and like it's like playing tag in the lazy river or like,
like, yeah, just running like race.
Give me a lot of memories right now. Yeah, you're right.
Yeah. So much fun. Like you. It's good current.
Yeah. You feel like you're you're going twice as fast.
Because normally running in water is obviously much slower,
but in the lazy river, you're flying.
You're bounding.
And there's all those inner tubes,
where either the single or the double,
and you're either going under them.
Shoo, shoo, shoo, shoo.
You're dodging people.
It's so fun.
And they're so mad at you, but you're having so much fun.
Doesn't matter, yeah.
Pull.
So that's my first one.
Lazy river is great.
Lazy river.
And then, I don't know.
I have a few in mind,
but I think I'm just going to go with my heart here.
And I love me a tub.
Love me a hot tub.
Okay.
I know that's not as much of like a fun, active thing,
but there's nothing like just being in the tub
I'm gonna get some votes for that. You think so?
I think I'm either gonna or people are gonna be like that's a lazy pick. No one no one wants that
So I love me a hot tub love getting buoyant
What's your last one my last one is just hotel pool
When you smell the chlorine on the way to your room,
you're dropping your bag off,
you're changing into that swimsuit
and you're getting down there.
And you're staying there until it closes at 1130.
And it's so fun.
There's something, it does smell awesome as a kid.
It does.
Yeah.
And it's like you'd never, it's luxury.
Oh, it's so fun, a pool and there's no there's no amenities
It's just a square of water every once in a while. You got a tiny little tub a hot tub next to it or something
Go back and forth. Yeah, there's never
Any kind of toys it's just tiniest little towel that yes
But doesn't absorb anything you can't go to a hotel without a pool as a kid
I like I'm trying to be more intentional about like, we should just go on trips.
But you know, in Kansas City, it's like, where are we going to go? Des Moines? No offense.
But it's like, I guarantee you, if we went to Des Moines and just went to a hotel.
Yes.
With one slide, maybe.
No, not even.
Maybe. I mean, just.
You don't need it.
How do you just, it'll be so fun just jumping in. Like that's all she needs.
It's like, we can go anywhere. We could go to Eudora, Kansas.
I was saying, what if you just went to a Latha and told them you're in Iowa?
I just went to a hotel. I think that's grandma and grandpa's house
So that's a good answer hotel pool so fun hotel pool the Colorado hotel had a pool
But it was closed by the time so I was gonna try to go afterwards. I love me a pool. I love getting buoyant
This one also a nostalgic pick kind of like the lazy river hotel pool. I'm gonna try to go afterwards. I love being in the pool. Love getting buoyant. This one, also a nostalgic pick,
kinda like the Lazy River or Hotel pool.
I'm gonna go fishing.
Oh.
I grew up fishing a lot.
We had a fishing boat back in the day.
Me and my dad would just go and-
On your property?
Not on our property.
We'd go to Pomp and Tear Lake.
Okay.
The little bass fishing.
I didn't know how big your pond was at your property.
Cause you have a pond.
We have a pond.
You go fishing in the backyard?
No, it's pretty shallow.
There's fish in there, but we let them be.
I think my dad will send us fish in there.
Okay.
We used to have this dog that showed up one time.
He really liked fishing in it.
So we kind of let him do his thing.
Black dog was his name.
Black dog?
Yeah.
His ears were so long, if he would ever run through the
field, the tips of his ears would start bleeding.
Oh yeah.
I think I heard that.
So you cut off his ears?
Mm hmm.
Yeah.
Just snipped him?
Circum...
Circum...
Otis?
What's ears and ears, otto?
Oh, I don't know.
Circumotomy?
Otter, yep.
Yeah, just fishing.
A lot of good memories growing up, fishing.
Mechanica, I could do a lot of fishing.
Did you?
Yeah, we had fishing as like an elective.
Oh really? We did not. I would always, it wasn't a lot of castings. I think Yeah, we had fishing as like an elective. Oh really?
We did not.
I would always, it wasn't a lot of casting.
So I think that's a little dangerous like middle schoolers.
So it was like go to the boat slips while the boats are out
and put some like corn or just food, live bait,
go dig up some worms and just drop it.
Okay.
And so you catch like little bluegill and stuff.
But fishing at Canock Cook was when I would really
be in my bag doing riddles.
Oh yeah.
We were sitting around and I'm just, I'm the riddle master.
That's what fishing's fun for that reason of like either just talking or not talking,
like just being by yourself and just getting some good time.
Yeah.
Good answer.
Fishing's great.
In the other, I mean, just anything with a pool.
It's so fun.
What about like non-large water, like water balloon fights?
Never. These days, have you seen what they have though?
You can like fill up like a hundred.
Yeah, that's amazing.
It's crazy.
So like-
You get a couple of duds, but most of them work.
Yeah, that was why I didn't really like them growing up
is because it took you an hour to fill them up
and you were done in five minutes.
Yeah, sprinkler's nice.
Sprinkler on the trampoline.
Sprinkler on the trampoline.
What kind of sprinkler are we talking?
I achieve one.
But like, are we talking one that has like,
like six different like shoot out things,
like kind of like a little mini rainbow.
Oh, the way that Dennis waters his driveway.
Dennis watering his driveway.
It's a water thing.
Maybe your favorite water activity
is watching Dennis water his driveway.
I'm always texting Rachel Dennis updates.
Oh, I've been water based lately.
Just water.
Yeah, water's great.
Water activities. Oh, I should have chose based lately. Just water. Yeah. Water's great. Water activities. Oh, I should
have chose jet ski. Oh, yeah. Oh, it's jet skis. Amazing. Yeah. I've only written one or only drove
one like three times my whole life. What about that standing? Really? Yeah. Out of all the things
you've done, I figured you've done that 20 times. I don't know why. I mean, just it never happened.
Interesting. But I have loved it when I did. It's so fun. I've done it twice domestic, once international.
Oh, you've done it in the ocean?
Yeah.
Is that all the times you've done it, is it in the ocean?
No, two lake, one ocean.
It was in Trinidad and Tobago.
It was awesome, because there's so many waves.
And they like, yeah, they would like just come by
and be like, anybody want to spend money
to go on the jet ski?
They let me write my name on the wall.
I don't know if they do that to everyone,
but like, you are a crazy man. Write your name on the, and I was like, all right, great. Sure, you bet. And my name on the wall. I don't know if they do that to everyone but like you are crazy man Write your name on the and I was like, alright great
Sure, you bet my name's down there somewhere someplace you get a shark sandwich in Trinidad when they saw have jet skis
My name's on that wall. That's a vibe dude. Those shark sandwiches are awesome. Yeah
Yeah, that scares me doing the ocean for some reason
Mainly because if I fall off, I don't know if I get back on
for some reason, mainly because if I fall off, I don't know if I'd get back on.
Oh yeah.
I'm scared thinking about it.
In a lake, it's like, ah, I'll just wave somebody down.
The ocean, it's like, what's down there?
You're falling into a shark's mouth.
Okay, this is something that TJ gave me
such a hard time for, and maybe you guys will resonate,
maybe you won't.
I know on the podcast, we've talked about how
Brad's scared of animals, you know, whatever.
I'm not that scared, whatever.
I don't like the idea of like unpredictability
with animals.
And so in Hawaii, they have all these massive turtles, right?
Okay. I love them.
That's so fun to see in the daytime, whatever.
But we went at sunset one night to the beach
and it was dark, we were all hanging out in the ocean
in the dark and TJ is like, oh, by the way, FYI,
sometimes turtles will just come up, you know, in the dark and TJ is like, oh by the way FYI sometimes
Turtles will just come up, you know in the dark and they can't see you can't see them and they'll just those bump into you
It's not a big deal. But just letting you know and I was like, are you joking?
No, I'm serious. I
Yeah, TJ acted like I was doing he thought I was doing a bit because of how like scared I was I was like I'm getting out of the water if that's true
Like I don't how would you feel if a turtle in the dark,
you don't know it's a turtle?
If I'm on sand, yeah, fine.
Not the water though.
Would you get out?
Would you be a little worried?
Yeah, I don't like that feeling of anything in the water.
I've been in ponds or lakes before where it was like,
oh yeah, there might be some bluegill kind of nip at ya.
I don't care what they are.
I don't like that feeling.
Yes, thank you. I feel like like that feeling. Yes. Thank you.
I feel like I like they like acted like I was some crazy person for I didn't get out,
but I I was nervous the rest of the time.
I would be too.
I was like, because those things are huge.
And even if it's not hurting you, it a bumpy shell rubbing into your leg.
The feeling of their neck or whatever.
Yes. Yes. Yes. All that. Just know whatever. Yes, yes, yes, all that.
Just no.
I don't like it.
Thank you, okay.
Yeah, I mean, they're still reptiles,
which we talked before on this podcast.
Are there any good reptiles?
I think turtles, the only redeemable reptile.
They are cool, they're huge.
Yeah.
To look at.
And I think finding Nemo really elevated,
like the vibe, I see all turtles
is having an Australian accent now.
Right.
I think that helps. Wait, no, they didn't have Australian accents. They had the California, they're
like, you totally rock Squirt. Oh yeah, you're right. Oh yeah. Who did? Who had the Australian
accent? The birds. That was a turtle we met in Australia. Oh yeah. It was a turtle we
met down there. Also, I made a joke about getting a turtle, like a smaller turtle and
putting in my carry-on
luggage and like running it through security at the airport. And I thought that was like such a
throwaway joke. And TJ thought it was the funniest imagery he'd ever like smuggling a turtle. But
you haven't you have any like, you know, fruit or vegetables, lithium batteries? No, nothing like
that. Just you know, it's like I got some water and a turtle in my bag, like, like the carrot,
let us the fins just like sticking out a little bit.
He thought it was so funny.
You know, I was like, I don't know if that's hilarious.
I actually just saw a graph.
It's been being scared of animals recently.
What do you guys think is the most deadly animal to humans?
What animal kills the most humans every year?
I think I know.
Do you have a guess?
Are insects involved?
All of them.
Oh. Mosquito. Mosquito. Good, a guess? Are insects involved? All of them. Oh.
Mosquito.
The Skeeter.
Good, Rachel.
Good, it's mosquito by a lot.
Well, that's what-
Yup.
Rachel's like, yeah.
That's what, like, I told a couple of weeks ago
about that, sorry, that guy that's like the three ones,
three animals that like hunt animals, or hunt humans,
remember that?
It was like tigers, crocs, and polar bears.
That same guy, they were like, they asked him,
what's the scariest, you know,
what are you most scared of?
And he's like, mosquitoes, easily.
And I was like, really?
But I think in America, we're not so scared of them.
Yeah, should be scared of ticks.
Worldwide, yeah.
Yeah, it was like mosquitoes and then-
Is hippos next?
No, hippos is way down. Hippos kill like 300 humans a year. Mos, it was like mosquitoes and then... Is Hippos next? No, Hippos is way down.
Hippos kill like 300 humans a year.
Mosquitoes are like a million.
Wow.
There were a lot in like the 300 to 500 range.
It was like Hippos and a lot of these like jungle cats,
lions, tigers, whatever, crocodiles, stuff like that.
There was a lot of...
There was like some flies and bugs at the top,
but dogs were like two or three.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
What do you mean that's it? Two to three people? Oh, sorry, sorry. They were like second or three. Oh, really? Really? Yeah. What do you mean that's it?
Two to three people?
Like number two.
Oh, sorry, sorry.
They were like second or third on the list.
And like, I believe, or you can fact check me, whatever,
but I think pit bulls is like 90% of those things.
Really?
Yeah, it's like something crazy.
Like people are like, you should ban pit bulls
from being domesticated or whatever it is.
But anyway. Another honorable mention, I don't know.
Another honorable mention, I'm gonna do a wave pools.
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah.
A wave pool.
Yeah.
Like both scary and fun.
Yeah.
Like kind of terrifying.
You ever see those ones in China
where it's like no one has any room?
That looks dangerous.
That's what I think of as all of China.
No one has any room.
It's just like, I just get like
claustrophobic thinking of China. Is that fair? At least the cities, uh, wave pools are good.
I have a whirlpool. Do you have like making your own? Oh, yeah. Love to start that. You'd
leave the charge. That's fun. We did that in a Catherine's house recently and like you
could visibly see like how much water we lost
in the pool.
The kids loved it though.
And I could just see Catherine's dad being like,
well, there's a lot of water that we just lost.
A lot I have to put back in there.
Yeah, that's good.
Yeah, I think that's lakes are lakes are good.
Oceans are just so much better, correct?
You guys agree? Yes. I just, I don't know. Some people are obsessed with the are just so much better, correct? You guys agree?
Yes.
I just, I don't know, some people are obsessed
with the lake and I'm like, ah, take or leave it.
Lake, pool, ocean, something, no, just those three.
What do you think?
I think lake is my lowest.
I'd rather have a pool than a lake.
I'd go ocean, lake, pool.
Really?
Because there's more activities in a lake you can do but you kind of need a boat to
rope
Pool you guys need yourself. So yeah

See you guys on Saturday. It's going to be awesome.
Yep.
Let's see.
What do I want to tell you about Jacob?
Um, yeah, just some funny, funny memories.
One of them that's like, it's so funny.
And I hope that I can somewhat convey it on the podcast is we went to twin falls, I believe
is what it's called.
Uh, just like this water.
It's like the first stop on road to Hanna, which is like the popular thing to do in Maui. You guys did the full road? No, we didn't. We just, we just went like this water. It's like the first stop on Road to Hana, which is like the popular thing to do in Maui.
You guys did the full road?
No, we didn't.
We just went to this stop.
But we were there for like two hours.
Like it's like, you could hike up
to all these different waterfalls and stuff.
And yeah, there's a few different waterfalls
and you could like cliff jump off of them,
you know, 20, 25 feet or so.
Another fun water activity.
Dang, cliff jumping's good.
It is fun.
And yeah, there was this guy in our group, Dennis.
Shout out Dennis, great guy,
Nashville, Tennessee architect.
And the first waterfall we were on,
we were like, it didn't seem like Dennis wanted to go.
He was kind of hesitant.
And then he eventually went.
We're like, all right, Dennis, good work.
And so thinking like maybe he's a little bit of risk averse,
whatever.
And then the second waterfall, not all of us, you know, are going to go on it,
but Dennis is climbing up there to go. And there's this waterfall.
I mean, it's probably a little bit taller. We'll call it 25 feet.
I don't know exactly, but a little bit taller than the first one.
But then there's like these vines,
like this huge wall of vines that like the, the Bradas, AKA the local
Hawaiians were like climbing like 50 feet up and jumping off of it.
And it was a sight to see.
It was also every time it was like,
we think this water's seven, eight feet deep.
It's not that deep.
Oh, jeez.
You gotta know what you're doing.
Exactly.
And so, Dennis climbs up to the top,
but he's just looking for a while.
This guy climbs up 50 feet up.
He's hanging there with one arm
and Dennis is looking at him.
The guy's looking down at Dennis
and the guy's like pointing to Dennis like,
you go ahead, man.
He's like, no, no, you go, you go.
Like telling, like, I think Dennis might be a little nervous.
No, you go, you go.
And Dennis jumps off this cliff,
but like jumps off, but then there's another step,
like maybe three or four feet down.
Kind of like does like a triple jump. but like jumps off. But then there's another step, like maybe three or four feet down. Oh no.
Kind of like does like a triple jump. Like jumps off this thing, like gets one leg onto the step,
like lands on that kinda and then jumps forward and dude just does like something that you can't do
on purpose ever. Like, like just falls kind of on his face, kind of like not, but not head first,
but like didn't really do not head first, but like,
didn't really do a belly flop,
but like it was one of those things
where everyone was just like, oh, and TJ, you know,
being the dad of the group, the host was like,
like really worried, like please come up.
Did he full belly flop or kind of do like a half spin?
It wasn't a flop.
It was more like a, yeah, it was almost like a sad half spin,
but I'm saying like it's impossible to do this on purpose.
Like what hit the water first?
Well, yeah, so that's, I think maybe.
So then like he gets out of the water
and we're all like, dude, you okay?
You okay?
He's like, yeah, I'm okay.
But then he doesn't talk for like five minutes.
And he's like looking, he's like looking to see
if he's like bleeding on his lip and stuff.
Turns out like he fell into the water
and he said he hit his face on a rock. No way. My gosh. stuff, um, turns out like he fell into the water and the,
he said he hit his face on a rock. No way. My gosh.
And I mean, like we didn't know this for like three, he didn't tell us for like three hours about this part.
Like even we went to another waterfall, he like climbed up to the top and was like,
I guess he's all right. But he was like so quiet.
He's kind of a quiet guy anyway, in some respects. Um, but for whatever reason,
now that I know he's okay,
falling and hitting your face on a rock is one of the funniest things I could ever think. Cause he fell like, cause like
you think he's just jumping all the way. And instead of jumping all the way, it was kind of
like when D'Angelo Vickers like he's going to dunk the basketball instead of dunking. He like
jumps on that guy's back first and then dunks it. Like you just don't think he's going to do that part.
And then he jumps in and he like falls awkwardly
and he falls so awkward that he hits his face on a rock.
I mean, have you ever jumped in
and hit your face on anything?
Not even the water.
No, it was just, it was something,
it was like TJ's like that image is seared into my brain.
I was so scared when that happened.
But he was fine. As far as we know, he didn't he didn't talk for the rest of the,
you know, five days we were there. But yeah, he had a ton of concussion. Slurred his speech. But like anyway, it was just it was just something.
How old is Dennis? About our age.
OK. Yeah. So just got an old name.
Dennis. Yeah.
But anyway, it was scary.
I love cliff jumping, though. Good for Dennis. I'm glad he did it. It was awesome. I mean, it was scary. I love cliff jumping though.
Good for Dennis.
I'm glad he did it.
It was awesome.
I mean, it was like, yeah, we were proud of him.
It was awesome.
But it was also like he claims he meant to jump to that second step.
I think he was a little bit.
He was a little bit hung up on the, you know, the, the big Hawaiian.
I mean, the guy is so high up.
She's like, no, you go ahead, man.
He's like, all right.
All right.
Just nailed his head, dude.
I think we've talked about that guy,
I know, Reagan Popoff, who does the death diving.
I would love to learn that with a diving board.
That'd be a great way to do it.
Yeah.
Like, that should actually be a fun video.
I'll just have him come and like teach us how to death dive.
Yeah.
Because you can, it's a way to do it
where you just don't get injured.
It's like talking.
Yeah, is it one of those things you could learn
on a shallower surface or it's like,
you just gotta learn it on the big one?
Oh, you can learn off diving board, right? You think that's the way you enter the
water. I think you need some reps like piking your, your body, I think.
Oh, just like the end result. Yeah. I think so.
We're going to get to, yeah. I don't care about doing flips and stuff.
It'd just be fun to be able to jump off of anything and like not get hurt.
Yeah. Cause this is, so we went to like a third waterfall that was had a huge like,
I don't know. It seemed like 70 feet up there, like huge.
And this water was like five feet, six feet deep.
And there was a guy that jumped in.
I don't know how you do that.
I think he's kind of like fall at the right angle.
Yeah, I don't know.
When you hit the water, it definitely was like so dangerous.
But the guy was local and a little under the.
So I think he was...
Had a sucker, titsy pop?
Yep, extra gum.
Cool.
Yeah, so.
He was fine.
He was fine.
Good for him.
A little painkiller, I guess.
But anyway, crazy time watching Dennis fall face first
into that water.
Dennis.
Yeah.
I played catch with the guy, some kids.
You played catch?
They had a football and
They called me uncle that was a big time
Uncle here. I was like, all right
Let's go. That's like a big thing in Hawaii uncle uncle. That's right. Yeah, didn't Beth keys kids there. They called other adults. Oh, yeah
TJ's to me. I don't know. Yeah uncle and auntie kind of sweet. That's fun. All right, let's talk about uh,
Vegas yeah, it's about days real right. Let's talk about Vegas. Yeah. It's about days.
Real quick. I know Timon's under the weather, but I'm going to FaceTime him. I want him to tell
at least one story. Okay. And then I can handle the rest. But so we're just going to start off,

All right, I'll do the other parts. Okay.
Until the answers.
So this is a, we're going to a pickleball tournament,
PPA, give me like five minutes he said.
No problem, no problem.
It's a time and exact, me and Isaac,
and it's Scott and then our buddy TJ, who's gonna play
in the 5.0 tournament with TJ.
Also the only Friday Pickleball athlete.
Oh, for now.
Yeah, we technically signed him to do a deal.
Uses the paddles, whatever.
So we go out there and it was really fun.
We didn't have much to do.
We weren't playing until Saturday,
but we flew there early
Thursday morning
and just it's just fun just fun to be with a bunch of guys and just very you know different ages and
Zack half the things I wrote down in my podcast notes are all about Zack. He's just so fun to have him
He's you just laugh looking at the guy in a nice way. He's not like a goofy looking guy, but he's just funny.
He's great.
I mean, I'm just looking at some of these notes.
I mean, like we got him,
you could kind of convince him to do whatever.
And so it was pretty light convincing,
but I think I texted Timon and Zach at one point,
like, hey, where are you guys?
Like we're on like championship court watching like the pros.
And there was, at the time,
there was like an 18 year old girl playing in it.
So I was like, has Zach DM'd Georgia yet?
No response until I get a video
of Zach DMing her in that moment.
So then the rest of the weekend,
you can imagine everything revolves around that girl.
And like, when are we gonna get a response from her?
Zach, maybe follow up.
Hey, you want me to go find her?
You know, everyone's on Georgia watch.
We're all looking for her.
Hey, my friend DM'd you. This is him. Would you like to go find her? You know, everyone's on Georgia watch. We're all looking for her. Hey, my friend DM'd you.
This is him.
Would you like to say anything back?
You know, we're all like looking for opportunities
for Zach, that was fun.
At one point, there was one night where me,
Tyman and Zach were the only ones still awake.
And I was like, hey, it's Vegas.
Things are open 24 seven.
You guys want to get an acai bowl?
And they're like, yeah, Zach's like, I've never had one.
So we're driving around, drove to one, it was closed.
Drove to another one.
Once we got to realize it was inside
of a 24 hour fitness center.
So we just walked right in, just snuck into the fitness
center, Zach got a quick pump it, no, we're just kidding.
But as we're driving there, Zach says,
he does some landscaping by day.
And he said, recently I was able to,
I really catch up on Ghost Runners.
I listened to nine episodes like a couple of days ago.
In a day. Yeah. Wow.
I was like, wow, that's crazy.
I was like, were they like newer episodes or older episodes?
He's like, they were like the nine most recent
and they were like the first nine I've ever listened to.
Oh, really?
That's funny that you're admitting that.
I mean, it's fine, but it's just funny.
You went zero to 100 on it.
Yeah, he's like, I just felt like I needed to prep
before this weekend.
And so I was like, no, that's great.
That's funny.
I was like, how did you listen to nine in a day though?
And Zach claims that he listens on 2.3 speed.
2.3?
Have you ever heard of anything above 1.5?
I've heard people do two, but 2.3 is like psycho. We talked pretty fast
Yes, so we we told this to Scott and so then Scott tried listening to us on 2.3. It's impossible
Let me see it doesn't work. I didn't even know that was an option
Well, how fast can you go? I don't know. Let's see. What's our podcast ghost runners?
Jake drove the valus Here we go, here we go Let's see, what's our podcast Ghostrunners? Jake Jermil-Ralas.
Alright, here we go.
Hey, good morning Jake, good morning Tyman.
Morning.
Alright, this is 1.2, which is what I normally am.
Give me some pills and say, take this with food, but don't take this with dairy.
Which I said, Doc, that's nearly incalculable.
I was like, what?
2, here comes 2.3.
Every single meal, Doc, every single snack that goes into my body.
I'm trying to think what I've had recently, and it's all dairy. I'm currently sick, and It's like, okay, crackers and Sprite. That's the one time a year I don't consume dairy.
So Zach's listening to this at 2.3.
That's impossible.
I just, I wanted to say something to him.
For, who knows how many hours straight.
That would, that's how he consumes the podcast.
I would have a heart attack.
That's all he's ever known is us that speed.
He says that once we get excited about something, he said, you cannot listen, you can't hear
it anymore.
You have to wait till we calm down.
I said, how did you find 2.3?
And he said, well, I tried 2.5.
I tried 2.5.
I tried 2.5.
I tried 2.5.
I tried 2.5.
I tried 2.5.
I tried 2.5.
I tried 2.5.
I tried 2.5. I tried 2.5. I tried 2 we calm down. I said, how did you find 2.3?
And he said, well, I tried 2.5 and that was way too fast.
That's just crazy.
He said, I tried 2.5 for a while
and then you go back to 2.3 and that feels normal.
So he said 2.3 is a sweet spot.
It probably is all relative.
Like if you're listed at 2X and then you go down to 1.5,
it's like, whoa, they're talking so slow.
So slow.
So that was really funny. One of the first things we did for the trip was
we switched to Chick-fil-A, get a little breakfast.
I had a video idea that involved a deck of playing cards.
And so I was trying to make Vegas, Sapphire, some videos.
So I was like, I bet we can get those anywhere.
I go next door to their convenience store.
This is another one of those moments where I'm like,
now none of these guys are gonna believe me
because no one else came,
but I go next door to this convenience store.
And the first thing that happens is there's a crew of women
all decked out,
their shirts are all just the Brazilian flag.
So I think they're very clearly from Brazil
and they're having trouble getting like the coffee
or whatever.
So they're asking me like,
can you help with the coffee,
where are the cups, whatever.
So I'm kind of interpreting for them.
I go up to the clerk,
I'm like, they're looking for cups, whatever.
We're becoming friends.
Then at one point after that, I'm trying to remember
what happened, I think the Brazilian woman wanted to pay
in cash and had a hundred dollar bill.
And the clerk couldn't accept a hundred dollar bill.
She said, I just closed the cash register.
You sir, would you mind running this through the machine?
There is a slot machines everywhere in in Vegas so then I took this Brazilian
woman's hundred dollar bill and put it in the slot I'd go put it in the slot
machine yeah and then I had to cash it out and then the cash out ticket is what
she paid with okay don't know how that works such a hack like yeah also why
yeah why is that okay? What a loophole.
It was very strange.
Of course, Scott, who's lived in Portugal for two years,
is like, I can't believe I missed my opportunity
to help you translate for the Portuguese women.
Can you run it through the machines?
I have a hundred dollar bill,
but I just called my register.
Slash machine.
Yeah.
Do you know where the cops are?
On top of that, this has taken forever.
I said to this other guy,
it's like, hey man, I can help you here.
I was like, hey, I'm just looking for like a deck of cards.
I couldn't find them.
He's like, oh yeah, we have some.
Only thing is you need to buy,
you have to buy six at a time.
Six decks?
I was like, oh wow.
I was like, well, yeah, maybe we could find a way.
Yeah, sure.
He's like, bro, I'm messing with you.
I'm messing with you, dude.
It's only one.
I was like, oh, great then, let's do one.
But you do have to run it through the machine first.
Yeah.
It was just, that was the first 30 minutes at Vegas.
It was a jam packed five minutes of my life.
Cause all the other guys are like, dude,
what took so long?
You guys aren't really gonna believe this,
but I played slots briefly with someone else's money.
We didn't speak the same language.
You were just so eager to get gambling
that you had to go to slots.
There was a little bit of culture shock for time. And when we landed in Vegas, there's slot machines in the same language. You were just so eager to get gambling that you had to get going. There was a little bit of culture shock for time.
And when we landed in Vegas, there's slot machines in the airport there.
And he was like, dude, it's funny.
He's like, this is like every Vegas stereotype I would have thought.
Like just gambling everywhere.
So, yeah, literally in the gas station, they have slot machines in the in everything.
Yeah, there's in the bathroom, right?
There's a lot of 24 hour massages that also have slot machines
I don't know what's going on in there interesting, but time and said he's writing I'm gonna give him a call. Oh
What a guy you look good time hi buddy
Here move my camera so you can see his face better
Hey buddy Jake is right behind you
Okay, i'm right behind you aren't I and rachel's in your spot. Oh
And I'm supposed to be real from it in honor of you
Oh, thank you. Thank you
Um, so time i've said a few details of the trip haven't got too much into it, but I want you to share your story
of the night before our flight.
Okay, okay, just hanging out with Zach.
Okay, yeah, so it was, what was it, a Wednesday night?
Because we left on Thursday.
That is correct.
Right, okay, so it was Wednesday night.
So, first of all, me and Zach, we're to meet at M&U because we have a choir concert
like right when we land back on Sunday.
So I dropped my car off at M&U.
He comes from work to there.
And this is a random kind of funny side thing.
Somehow on Zach's way from his work, where his job site was in Topeka that day. His route was
one hour and he somehow took one wrong exit that added 40 minutes to his drive. So that
was just a very Zach thing that somehow, like Zach, how was there not any way to go around?
So I just met him 40 minutes later. That was that was kind of funny anyway, so yeah that evening. We're just kind of hanging out at his house
um, he's packing up and then
It's probably like 10 30
Um, maybe we're like 11 or 11 30. We're just kind of talking like
We're he's like what you might as well like start packing up some stuff in this in this in stacks call
um, just to be ready for the super early we're like
We'll have to leave at like 3 15 a.m.
We're just kind of dreading that.
Then as we're packing some stuff up,
I think I said to Zach just kind of offhandedly,
what if we just drove there tonight
and just slept in your car?
And so Zach was at first just kind of,
oh yeah, that's gonna be kind of funny,
but there's no way.
And then he just starts thinking more he's like this could be either really stupid
We're really fun and also like still a little like pointless
But I don't we can just like decided eventually like this
This will be worth doing just just for the memories
So we like pack up a bunch we throw a bunch of blankets in there get everything we need packed
up do a little more like
Laundry or something and then we just leave it probably
1145 at night drive up to the Kansas City Airport nice go to economy parking and then we just that was our hotel
So you slept in the parking lot? Yeah. Yes. Yeah, just like lean the seats all the way back and
In the parking lot, yeah. Yes, yeah, just like lean the seats all the way back
and got cozy.
I fell asleep in probably like 10 minutes.
I feel like I could fall asleep anywhere.
Zach took a little longer, but yeah.
Then woke up at like 4.15, just walked.
Just walked to the tram.
Yeah.
That's amazing.
It's crazy he has pneumonia now.
Yeah, sure, yeah.
I don't know how, yeah, sleeping habits have been great.
Also, once we got to the airport,
I booked everyone's flight.
They all sent me their Southwest rapid rewards number,
birthday, everything.
I was the only person who had TSA PreCheck.
I was the only person to put in a known travel number.
We get to the airport and Zach looks at his boarding pass.
He's like, mine has TSA pre-check
I don't I've never had that I don't have TSA pre-check. Yeah
We still don't know how he got it. So he just got to go through pre-check. He's never had it
He's never been to the government building where you perceive it. Sometimes I've heard that like I've had that one time
You just regretted it. Yeah, I think some maybe they just know like it's gonna be busy that day
And so they just give it to certain people. I kind of ran. I don't know. I've had it once in my life
and I definitely did not buy it. So Zach was. Yeah, it could have been the busy thing because like
that day I've never had to like not take off my shoes, not take anything out of my pockets. Like
they were just like they were dead. The dogs out like sniffing everybody and that was like
all we needed. Dogs are good enough. Just get them in. Yeah, I guess so.
It was a little crazy.
Also, Zach was elated to have pre-check.
It was like the, it was the Stanford prison experiment
where all of a sudden he was just better than all of us.
Oh yeah, sure.
We would like go to the restroom,
like hey, we're gonna stop at the restroom.
He's like, is there like a pre-check restroom?
It was like one for people like me.
When do I board?
Right, right.
When, how close to the front do I sit?
That's great.
It's like all weekend. He was riding high on TSA Pre-Check.
So, Tyman, what'd you think of Vegas overall?
I thought it was great.
Yeah, I mean, we didn't get necessarily,
I don't think I still really bend to Vegas,
gotten the whole, like,
that people think of experience, but it was still a lot of fun. And it's whole like, that was a good experience.
But like, it was still a lot of fun.
And it's just like, I think it's always fun to
just travel with people.
Like you can hang out with people all the time.
But once you've like traveled with them
and like hung out with them in that context,
I think it's, you get a little closer
and it's kind of more fun.
Yeah, for sure.
That's a good word.
But yeah, I don't know.
Airbnb was great.
Besides, have you told?
I haven't got to the initial great. Besides, have you told?
I haven't got to the initial Airbnb story.
I'll talk about that.
You should talk about what you told me at the coffee shop a couple days ago, your experience
at Hans.
So timing was starting to feel, Saturday is the day time it started not feel is great.
But they had $200 Hans Zimmer tickets that night.
Okay.
So yeah, I think it was, it honestly might've been more Friday night.
I like started to feel the littlest bit of like,
I think I feel a little off.
Hopefully it's just like, I'll sleep it off.
It'll be great.
And then Saturday I kind of had to accept like,
okay, I feel pretty sick.
So had like just gone through the entire like Saturday
filming, just like literally napping in the like
pickleball lounge area on like a bean bag thing
between filming and whatever.
Yeah, so we would play a game.
Tymon would film me and Isaac,
and then he would go back to sleep like outdoors,
like in the heat.
It was a record high for Las Vegas on October 12th.
Had never been that hot before.
Like a hundred times.
And then Tymon was still having no problem
like sleeping outside.
It was like, yeah, he's definitely sick. So we would play, he he would nap we'd wake him up. We'd play again. You go back to
Like standing just like in the Sun just like film in the match like just can't wait to get back to the beanbag
like just can't wait to get back to the bean bag. The whole bag.
Old rucksack.
But yeah, okay yeah, Hans Zimmer.
So we get to the Hans concert.
It's like, I think about like 5.30 or so
we take our Uber there.
And like at that point I'm feeling pretty good.
I feel like well rested, well,
I'm like excited for the concert.
And then the thing is we didn't go back
to the Airbnb before it.
So all I have is my short sleeve shirt and shorts. So I'm like, I'm not necessarily dressed to
prepare for anything cold, but the arena like that we walk into is just freezing cold. It's like
they keep the AC, I guess I'm assuming, yeah, for just this huge place full of this many people,
they keep it cold. So, and then besides that, like in hindsight,
I'm sure I also had some kind of like fever. Yeah, I was gonna say, yeah, a lot worse. Yeah. So
I'm just like freezing my butt off this whole, so the first act of the concert, it's amazing. It's
great music cons is great. And then I'm like, I'm telling Zach, like, I don't know how I don't know if I can really
enjoy this even like obviously being sick is not great for enjoying it.
But I'm still like, I don't know how I can get through the second half being as cold
as I am.
Like, I'm literally in the like, little, my little chair.
Set this up like, just, I don't know, I like it with my legs tucked up in my shirt
Oh my sleeves around my legs just like bundled up. Yeah
just like not moving a muscle and so
Even then I'm shivering. So then I I decide it's like right before intermission
I'm like well at intermission. There's gonna be a flood of people going to the like lobby area
I'm just gonna go right now walk out during they're starting Pirates of the Caribbean. I don't even care
And I'm like, I mean, I don't care what it costs it's gonna be overpriced
But I'm gonna buy whatever the hoodie is. Yeah, that's a Hansen really first. Yeah, so I go I pay $80
And then I come back and it truly did make it made the rest better
Oh, yeah, I still was like a little cold just from the like kind of chills
I was having but it was it was still like a phenomenal concert like still worth it
Yeah, obviously would have been better if I wouldn't have been sick. But yeah
And I still spent the entire second half like curled up in every still freezing
Just to make it better. But yeah.
What was like the best, yeah, your favorite song or movie or whatever?
I think one of the biggest highlights had to be The Lion King. They did like a whole suite of like
all the, you know, they started out with the like opening song. And then, I mean, like, I don't know
if Hans Zimmer technically wrote like the opening circle of life song so it was like just together when
it hyped they started with like yeah but then like went into like a bunch of
different instrumental parts and I just I love that soundtrack that was a
highlight I mean I'm trying to think inception was amazing yeah and then yeah I could think of more I'm sure
but like there's they ended the entire concert like you know they do their
whole thing where they act like it's over and then Hans like all right you
guys have a great night I was like no we know there's one and he played time from
inception like the ending yeah I was just amazing it was it was truly and
like what was great is like
Right about at the Lion King, which was like probably four or five songs from the end
I kind of got like a little bit of a re
like a boost of energy, which was great like I was able to
really kind of
Really enjoy the ending which was awesome. That's great. Yeah, it was awesome. Sweet man. I love it.
Good stuff.
I'm gonna save a couple stuff for my notes next week
so when you're back we can still hash out from Vegas.
Yeah dude, hope you get feeling better.
Yeah man.
We'll see you after a while.
Recuperate, get some rest.
Yep.
Sorry buddy.
And let us know, real quick,
has Georgia DM'd Zach back yet. I have not heard okay
He's not willing on kiss and tell though
All right cool rest up dude, we'll talk soon. I'm a doing
That's my friend timing big time big time
Yeah, it's fun. I'm glad they still went. Glad he was able to still go.
But yeah, it was a rough day.
So yeah, we'd filmed a bunch with like pros
and whatnot all weekend.
It was a good weekend because we talked about this before,
the last PPA tournament,
it just, you go to public parks
and you might see Friday paddles,
but not that many people know us.
You go to a professional tournament,
you don't really see Friday paddles,
but everyone knows us.
And so it's pretty cool.
I mean, it's like, it's kids, it's teenagers,
it's millennials, it's parents, it's pro player.
Like you get approached by all types of people,
which is really cool to feel like it's resonating
with everybody.
But yeah, then Saturday was our day to finally compete.
And from a content perspective,
it was like, we really need to win this 4.0 tournament.
Because we, you know, I edited the last video,
performed really well.
I think there's a ton of buy-in to Isaac and I playing 4.0.
Since that moment,
I feel like we've gotten a decent bit better.
We came in silver in a 4.5 tournament.
So it's like, we need to like, let's win a 4.0 on camera
and then let's move on.
Let's move on with our viewers.
And so we were pretty
optimistic going into it. First match, easy peasy. 11-2, 11-1. Second match, nether cakewalk.
We're already in the semi finals. There's 22 teams we got to buy. Anyway, semis, time
is feeling rough. I'm telling them, dude, we might be out of here in like an hour. So
you can go back, you can nap. Like this could be early. Semi-finals, lose the first game.
Uh-oh, these guys are good.
This is our first test of the day.
It's best two out of three.
Win the second game.
All right, we can hang with these guys.
Third game, you play to 11.
Third game, we are up 10 to five with the serve.
Oh no.
And then I just crapped the bed.
You did?
Just collapsed.
Just.
You did?
It was my fault. Really? Yeah. I know.
I'm supposed to be the consistent one. Yes. And I sucked. What happened? Like what,
just anything and everything or like Vegas, man. Yeah. One too many slots with the Brazilians.
No, what like, it was crazy. It was even like shots or like, yeah, just on four stairs. Just
like, it's like, man, that normally goes in.
Like I, I hit a dink, not off the sweet spot.
The ball's moving one mile an hour.
I can't remember the last time I miss hit a dink,
but I just did.
And then it gets, it becomes a little mental.
Hey, we're fine. We're fine. We're fine.
But I don't feel like you're a mental headcase.
That's the thing. I didn't really feel nervous.
I was like, no, we got this.
Like we're better than this team.
We'll be fine.
It wasn't like a mental thing for you.
Like I got the yip shooting a free throw. I was like, no, it was just. Like we're better than this team. We'll be fine. It wasn't like a mental thing for you. Like I got the yip shooting a free throw.
I was like, no, it was just playing pickleball.
It's fine. Who cares?
And then, but to lose, when you have the serve 10 to five,
it was like, it was a straight up to 11 or did they end up
winning 12 to 10.
So I mean, they ran off seven in a row.
It was, it was pretty debilitating,
not because of like playing pickleball,
but it's the content piece.
It was like, man, we've got all the way out here.
Time and suffering, filming all this.
I'm gonna have to publicly tell everyone
this is what happened.
Yeah, and I know it was my fault.
This sucks, this is not fun.
Was it seven in a row or was it like they got three
and then you stopped them?
Yeah, they would get two and they're like,
all right, 10, seven, all right, here we just need one.
And then you just hit it into the net twice.
You go, oh boy, oh boy, I can't believe.
It's like, yeah, it's like in the office.
Like, I can't believe it was me.
Right. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I screwed it up.
You're like too worried about the other guy that you,
oh no.
So yeah.
10 to five, you said?
Yeah, 10 to five with the zero.
I'm almost positive that's what it was.
I mean, that happens a decent amount
when you're playing pickup with friends, but like.
Yeah, cause you're not that focused or whatever.
I told Rachel and she remembered an exact volleyball moment.
This happened to her. Right. What was it?
We were the five team.
Oh, that's way more fun.
You remember those.
What was your scenario?
Um, it was the fifth set.
We were down.
She's good. It's that it was like six to 14 or something.
I don't know. We only played a 15.
OK, we ended up winning.
That's a massive comeback.
Was it electric?
It was, it was at Missouri State.
Oh yeah.
Missouri.
Kate was serving, you know, that's good.
Yeah.
But that means Libero's out,
so we had good defense with Kate back there.
Oh wow, with Kate back there.
Kate, kind of liability in the back row sometimes.
Not that day.
Too tall.
Too tall Kate.
So that was a bummer.
But there is, it's double elimination.
However, you can't come all the way back.
It's not like a opportunity bracket or whatever.
It's kind of just like, all right, best you can do is bronze.
So you can get, yeah, you can get like a consolation.
Is that what you got?
So yeah, Isaac and I were, I mean, we were pretty, it's like a 28, three Falcons blown
lead.
It's like, wow, that was monumental collapse.
Yes. Warriors. So I told time and It's like, wow, that was monumental collapse. Yes.
And so I told Tymon, I was like, honestly, you just nap.
Don't even film the next few games.
Because I think from a video standpoint,
a lot of people are gonna check out, not really care.
But I think if we're playing for a medal,
people might stick around for that.
So it's like, don't even film the next couple.
If we keep winning, and we did, we were pretty out of it.
It's long, hot days.
We're like two hour breaks between every game.
It took forever. Wow. But if it she did, yeah, make were pretty out of it. It's long, hot days. We're like two hour breaks between every game. It took forever.
But if it she did, yeah, make it all the way back.
Bronze medal match, played well, won bronze.
So at least there's that.
But man, we should have won gold.
It was such a bummer.
Because it's like any other type of video,
you can create exactly what outcome you want.
It's like, this is our YouTube video.
But when you're playing in a tournament, a competition,
it's like, it wasn't supposed to go that way.
That's not what the video is going to be titled.
But that's almost not better.
But but that's almost like more relatable, more like give some realism.
Now you have another video like you can keep doing this rather than like they got it.
Yeah.
Like, well, well, you know, will we break a hundred and golf?
It's like, yeah, you did it.
I guess two videos.
Yeah, that's a good point.
You know, it's like good reframing. It's like, yeah, you did it. I guess two videos. Yeah, that's a good point. You know, it's like good reframing.
It's like, no, we're going to.
Yeah, thanks. I'm trying to.
Because it's well, and so often in I feel like a pickleball
tournaments or any tournament or sports or whatever, it's always like, dang,
if we would just play better, we would have beaten that team.
And you kind of when you hear people say that, you kind of roll your eyes like,
yeah, yeah, everyone says that.
Everyone's like, we should like Scott is the king of man.
We should have beaten those guys.
Like, I don't know.
Like no one's ever been better than Scott.
Yes. Those guys, those guys didn't, uh, that guy's like, why?
Oh, this guy was an old fat guy.
Like this dad beat us.
It's like, well, he must've been better than you, Scott.
Like, but like they got knocked out by some teenagers and they're like,
I mean, these kids, they play pickleball eight hours a day.
We can't compete with that.
Yeah. Exactly.
They're homeschool. It's like, I mean, these kids, they play pickleball eight hours a day. We can't compete with that. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. They're homeschooled.
It's like, find the excuses wherever you can. Um, but like you literally should have one.
Like it was right there.
That's actually like real. Like you did one thing to somewhat go wrong for them.
Just get it back in one bad shot. All it had. Yeah. That's tough, dude. I'm sorry. Cause like,
yeah, that's actually valid where it's like, I think we were better than them. It's like,
yeah, sure. You do know we were up 10 to five. Oh, we'm sorry. Cause like, yeah, that's actually valid where it's like, I think we were better than them. It's like, yeah, sure you do.
No, we were up 10 to five.
Oh, we should have.
Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
But well, you'll, you'll get them next time, buddy.
Yeah, we'll see. Yeah.
Do you have another tournament in mind?
I don't know.
It's a, I don't mind going to these and doing them.
I honestly, it feels like a,
I just kind of feel bad for like Tyman and Zach being there.
It's like, I think that this feel bad for like Tymon and Zach being there.
It's like, I think that this is not
the most amazing content to film.
And you film for 30 minutes and you rest for two hours.
You know, it's just long days.
So yeah, if I had no empathy or, you know,
just treated people like garbage,
like every weekend we're going out, you're coming with me.
You film me, you film every second.
And it's like, no, we have a good time.
And anyway, so, and they did,
they give out free energy drinks and Zach took advantage.
That's my kind of guy.
There was one day, I kid you not, we had not got,
you know, you kind of find a home base
where you set your bags down for the day.
We had not really gotten in yet.
And someone goes, oh, Zach already hit in the rainstorm.
That was the name of the energy drink.
And he said, this is my second one.
Like, oh, that's funny. And the time was like, no, he already had one. We've been in there 45
seconds. And that's the thing. It's like, man, these guys are 18. They could do anything to
their bodies and it doesn't matter. And then time it gets pneumonia. You're like, okay,
I guess there is a limit. There's, there's, well, no, there's just one type of each guy.
Like there's the guy that just abuses everything. It's like, no problem. He's fine.
It was the jokes were flying around Saturday
because everyone would just catch time
and sleeping in different spots or different positions.
Everyone's taking pictures of them.
You know, we're all just like, man, Vegas.
Yeah, it's a two day town.
Tymon, you can't stay here this long.
It's just trouble, man.
Chew you up and spit you out.
Oh man, that's great.

I
When you guys went to Australia, how long of a flight saw those turtles? So we went from Hawaii
So I want to say it was 11 hours.
Cause I remember Rachel had a fever the whole way.
She felt-
I was timing up the concert.
Yeah, she was timing.
I talked about that with time and he's like,
he's like, cause all you want to do when you're sick
is get in the exact position you need to be in.
So if you're at a pickleball tournament,
if you're on an airplane, you can't find the position.
It's the worst.
It's a bummer to be sick away from home.
Anyway, I think it was like 11 hours from Hawaii to Australia.
Yeah.
My flight from Denver to Maui was seven.
And I decided that's too much for me.
I did not like it.
And to be fair, I was an aisle.
I was on the aisle seat, which I've decided I'm a window guy.
I'm a window seat guy through and through from now on.
And I even asked TJ to get me a window, but I don't think maybe they weren't available or something.
And not only was I an aisle, but I was on United.
So therefore, Southwest, you can at least
kind of natural selection.
You're not gonna sit next to the wrong person.
And we got two other larger people in the same row as me
for seven hours.
And it was rough, dude.
It was like-
That is a bummer. That's a bummer.
It was one of those times where I thought this is like,
like normally I'm like, I can, I can suck it up.
I can do whatever.
This time I was like, I don't, I, this is so bad.
I was really struggling.
How big was the airplane?
Cause that might not meet the threshold.
I think once you get like crossing the entire,
was it Pacific ocean?
You get like a bigger seat and a bigger airplane.
That was the thing.
This airplane was the biggest airplane I'd ever been on. Oh, it was. Okay. Like it was at like three, five,
three. Oh no. Three, four, three. Okay. So is there, is there three, five threes? Yeah, we did three,
five, three. I think they said it was a Boeing 777. That is massive. Yes. It was like, like I was on
boarding group five and I don't know enough about United to like, no, like, but
I think everyone's like kind of already lined up for five even before they call it.
And so I get up when they say five and I look and it looked like the airplanes worth of
people in line.
I was like, Oh my gosh.
Like it was like, it was almost like a little bit disturbing.
How many people were on this airplane?
Too many.
It was like, this is a zoo.
Like we can easily, easily like cause a ruckus on this thing.
And there's no way, like if you ride on this airplane,
there's no way anybody's stopping you.
Yeah.
Like it was just, it was crazy, dude.
And so yeah, the, the gal, the lady I sat next to,
probably in her fifties.
And do you know, I'm going to try to do an impression
before I look up this girl's face and like show her a picture,
show you guys a picture of her.
You know that actress, no one knows her name,
but everyone knows who she is.
She's like that big blonde lady comedy actress
and she kinda talks like this.
Oh, Jenna Coolidge.
Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes.
You know her name?
Yeah.
You knew it too?
Yeah.
That's a good accent.
That was great.
I sat next to that woman basically on the plane and at first I was like, this is this girl's fun.
Like there's her and her husband, both big people, not not quite as big as me.
But like I got off the plane later and I was like walking.
I went to the bathroom and then was like walking out.
And so she didn't see me next to her.
She's like, I just heard her go, yeah, it didn't help that there were three fat
people in the same row.
I was like, all right, good to see you.
But this woman goes, no, dude.
Oh yeah.
Sorry.
She was, oh, I didn't, I didn't care.
Like she even like made that comment as we were like getting in.
She's like, whoa, three big people, you know, whatever.
Nope, no problem.
But I was like, you should have seen me a couple of months ago.
It would have been even worse. But yeah, she, she like had snacks. I was like, Oh, she's fun. She
like had her log in for United. So I was like, okay, she's experienced playing person. But
then she goes, FYI, I do have problems with my sciatica, which is like your back, I guess,
or your whatever, like lower. And she woke me up on like, from my nap,
from how loud she was groaning about her, like back hurting.
Really?
It was, it was, I barely napped at all.
It was, it was all champagne problems.
I understand it's not like that big of a deal, these things.
Like, yeah, you're uncomfortable on an airplane,
flying to Maui.
Yeah, that sucks to me. That's uncomfortable.
But like my peacock, that I, that's like the only app that I use to Maui. Yeah, it sucks to be there. That's uncomfortable. But my Peacock, that's the only app
that I use to download things.
So I'm really into suits right now.
So I download a bunch of episodes of suits,
a few other things.
And for whatever reason, it kept shutting off every time
I tried to open up the app.
Oh, no.
You can't download the new version
of whatever's in your airplane.
No, I had nothing.
I tried to maybe if I just connect to the plane Wi-Fi,
it'll kind of reset it. All these things. I even tried to the plane Wi-Fi it'll kind of reset it like all these things
I even tried to buy the Wi-Fi like nothing is working
And then so I tried to like watch a few things on like the plane
Options scroll through your I watched training day for like 30 minutes, you know, have you ever watched something yours like never why am I?
I don't want to watch this
Yeah, why don't you even start this like just give up on that? I don't want to watch training day right now
So that was kind of fall asleep. And yeah, you even start this? Like just give up on that. I don't want to watch training day right now. Um, so that was kind of falling asleep and yeah, you just hear, I share her, just go, Oh, and imagine how loud you have to be on an airplane to like wake somebody up out of
it. I was just, I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to say. You should really not do that.
And she was, she couldn't get her apps to work on her phone. She was freaking like, it was like,
she was having a panic attack and the staff wasn't very good.
And so she was trying to order alcohol and couldn't get them.
She buzzed them.
She was buzzing them.
She was, she, yeah.
So finally she ordered like three glasses of wine,
like for, for the row, but really it was just for her.
Really?
She's like, I just got it.
Oh, wow.
She's like straight to my sad.
She's like, yeah, the people that we stay with in Maui,
they'll, they'll greet us. They'll greet us with a cocktail and a joint. And I was like,
okay. It was like, I don't know. Good friends. I guess. I don't know what to tell you about this.
It was your friends. Cheech and chong. Yeah. And I, I had my head, I had headphones like this on
my head and she would just, she would just look over and just talk to me. And I had my screen.
Like I was watching training day. I was like, please stop
Like I don't know how to yeah
It was just it was a miserable flight and I tried to I tried to be so nice and I didn't complain to TJ really
About it. Mm-hmm. He's like, how was the flight? I was like, ah, it was long. Yeah, not that great
It was it was a little bit. I thought I told you I wanted a window seat, you know
No, I didn't mind too much, but it was just like, uh, yeah, it was just, it was just wild. The sciatic thing was just, and the plane staff, like they, they, they didn't ever come by.
Like it was like, there was not enough people. I don't know. I, it was, it was over sensory overload for me. I did not, I did not enjoy that large of a plane. Luckily on the way back, I was ready for it. It was the same huge plane, but man, yeah.
I'm a Southwest guy.
I just, just let me go with the three and three.
That's good.
I got a few more months to take advantage of that.
I know.
I wonder if I'll still be a Southwest guy
once they change over the, you know, the natural selection.
Or just if you're taking a long flight,
make sure it's like with your wife and you know,
like we are together.
Yeah. If nothing else. Thank goodness for my tiny wife, because so often I'm like,
oh man, you got to be in the middle.
She's like, I don't mind.
Give me a little TLC show. My tiny wife life.
My tiny, my tiny little wife.
My tiny little middle seat wife.
I did watch part of a documentary about the Duggars.
How are they doing? Is it was positive, right? It was really good.
Yeah, they're doing great.
Yeah.
Yeah, shiny, happy people or something like that.
Have you watched it?
I think we watched an episode, maybe.
Maybe.
I fell asleep too.
I thought it was one of their YouTube videos.
I was excited.
It was just like, I don't know.
It was like, this is fine.
Yeah, I wasn't that into it.
Yeah, when somebody's knocking on,
like talking to talk to you
and saying her back hurts the whole time.
It's like, lady, I'm and saying her back hurts the whole time.
It's like lady, I'm trying to watch this thing about Arkansas people.
I just can't believe like you couldn't be visually more focused on your own thing.
Not wanting to communicate with someone else.
And she's still communicating with you.
Well, what happened was she was complaining to her husband about her shows not loading or something like that.
And her husband finally said, I'm not talking to you anymore about her shows not loading or something like that. And her husband finally said,
I'm not talking to you anymore about this and ignored her.
And so then I think that's what she was like,
well, I can talk to this guy about, he seems pretty nice.
Somebody else over here.
That was like my flight to Hawaii.
Yeah.
When I can or whatever that guy was.
Yep.
I had my headphones on,
I was playing something on my phone, like a video,
and they would still like poke me and talk to me.
Poke you? Yeah. Oh man. Yeah, he was in that and they would still like poke me. And really poke you. Yeah. Oh, man.
Yeah. He was in that job.
Yeah, it's tough.
Yeah, they need I would pay money for like to see a profile.
The first I'm sitting next to to be able to choose.
I think it's literally profiling somebody.
But I don't know.
I if I saw that woman, I'd be like, I don't know.
I don't know. I don't know if we're going to be comfortable.
Either of us. No, thank you.
You know, no, thank you. You know No, thank you
So anyway zoo of an airplane, no, thank you. Let's do have an airplane
But it's fun united has these things
They they they're like do you want a cookie a fruit bar or uh pretzels and I go I'd like a cookie, please
These things are unbelievable. But they're healthy.
They're like quinoa crisps.
Oh, oh, yes.
Have you had these?
Yes, they're very good.
So good.
I wanted to have eight of them.
I was like, can you, you know, they were unbelievable.
They're like, yeah, just really healthy,
like good ingredients and like, it says quinoa crisps,
but it tastes like a crispy cookie.
Delicious.
I looked forward to that the next flight.
Did they give you a meal?
They did.
And I'm not trying to complain about anything
like to the point where I understand this is all ridiculous
but they gave me a meal.
And first of all, it was either chicken or tofu.
Obviously I chose chicken.
It was like chicken and quinoa and cucumber.
It was like, United is definitely a healthy cucumber. It was like, like, you know, it's definitely a healthy initiative.
But they gave me wooden utensils.
And I used my hands by the end of it.
I was like, I don't care. I'm picking up this chicken and just biting it like it's a chicken.
Is this because we're going to Hawaii?
Can I get someone? Yeah.
On the way back, plastic.
What if? So I don't know.
But man, it was like and I'm like, I'm left handed
and I'm on the aisle and she's next. So I'm like already a little bit like, I mean, it's
tight anyway. And then I'm tight trying to cut this thing. I was like, forget this. So
I use a spoon for the quinoa and just use my hands for the chicken. So it was, yeah,
it was fine. I said Jenna Coolidge, it's Jennifer Coolidge. That's my bad. Well, you're on a more formal, or a casual basis.
Yes.
Ustedes versus.
Usted.
Usted.
Or two.
Yep, more informal.
Good stuff.
Good stuff.
Oh.
Oh, well yeah, we got more to talk about
because we're sponsored by So Strong Food.
You're kidding.
Oh, we're not kidding. Next week, You're kidding. Oh, we're kidding. We're not kidding next week
We're gonna have a spot a special guest on the podcast aka so strong foods
Founder so strong food founder. Yes. That's what you're fun. Yeah next week. Yeah, never met him
So they just sent us some stuff. I just got home yesterday from Hawaii
So I don't think I've you haven't had any yet. Have you? I've not. These oat bites are unbelievable. They're
Oh, bite. Oh, it's bite. Yeah. Let me just pull them up real quick.
They're on sale right now for $6 mom. Oats bite mom. Oats bites,
chocolate chip cookie dough, oat bites. I mean, they are unbelievable. We packed one little,
I mean, they're perfect little size for,
we put them in all our kids' lunches yesterday
for their co-op.
But yeah, classic flavor kids love
with the comforting taste of cookie dough
combined with the wholesome goodness of oats.
So this stuff's really good for you.
It's gluten-free, allergy-free, packed with protein,
no added sugar, delicious cookie dough flavor
with ingredients that you can trust.
So it's So Strong Food. S.O.W.
So strong food dot com.
And they they sell those.
They also sell his mom on a mission bars.
You don't have to be a mom to eat them.
I ate one the other day.
I felt like a dad still at the end of it.
So they do have a promo code of GRKC.
GRKC for 15 percent off your order.
So that's six dollars turns into five to ten real quick.
I would order it now. So that way it's, turns into five, 10 real quick. I would order it now so that way it's not embarrassing
next week when you listen to Justin and he looks you
in the eyes and says, have you bought one yet?
And you say, no, I've been thinking about it.
And you will be intimidated by him.
He is tall and has a deep voice.
And he can look into your eyes from a distance.
Yes I have.
On camera.
So GRKC for 15% off.
These things are the real deal. They're awesome. So are the mom bars
I really like those as well
so check them out so strong food comm
I'm really looking forward to having Justin in the studio next week. So
one little insight one more inside joke from
TJ and I
Is that I was I was telling a little bit about just updating him about
some stuff in our lives and, um, was talking to him about a certain YouTube, a certain
social media personality. Uh, and I was like, he's kind of like this guy. Uh, have you heard
of him? And he's like, no, I was like, okay, well, basically he's just, he's adjacent to who we are
and, you know, pretty similar to us. And he's like, sorry, I got to stop you. I don't know. I don't know who that is. I was like, who, what? He's like, I don't know who
Jason Jason who Jason to who we are. I was like, no, no, no. Adjacent to who we are.
But he thought I said he's like, you know, he's like this, uh, you know, he's kind of
adjacent to who we are. He's been in Hawaii for too long. Well, that's where it sounds like.
And so who's who? Yeah.
And so like we played fishbowl later on that week and like Jason to who we are.
Or clues in there. How do you spell it?
I spelled it D with an apostrophe.
Yeah. De Jason.
No, no, Jason.
D apostrophe H.O.O.
W.E.E.A.R.E.
I guess.
I don't know.
That's good, that's good.
And of course somebody that kind of heard the inside joke
but didn't really understand it was like,
I don't know who this person is.
They have scary movies, like the killer is the first name.
I don't know.
Like Freddie and Jason.
Jason to Who We Are.
And then we would kind of like sing it like Jason Derulo.
Jason to Who We Are. So that's we would kind of like sing it like Jason Derulo. Jason to who we are.
So that's an inside joke with TJ and I is Jason to who we are.
That's fun. So maybe it's like our we have like a alter ego or like a hey, let's promote Jason to who we are his next album.
Yeah, yeah. It's a new sponsor that we have. It's just promoting Jason to who we are.
Timon isn't really like Forrest Frank it these days. He's more into Jason to who we are.
Yeah, he's a big Jason to who we are guy though. Yeah, he's kind of the new for he's like more like
Organic, you know not not trying too hard to like get the clicks like
For us Franks more of Jason to who we are
That is speed music reminds me off to get time and take next week ask him about what he thought Scott was the DJ
All weekend, of course, and it was rough dude Scott picked me up from the airport and the ten minutes
I was in there. I wanted to pause the music five times
I was like I'm not talking to you while Martin Garrix Martin Garrix. He's obsessed with Martin Garrix
Well, the first thing we do we drove to Vegas is a solid Martin Garrix was perform. I mean all those DJs
They're always sure DJs like dude
Tiesto and Martin Garrix, look up when they were performing.
And then he would just put that on.
Didn't matter if it was 6 a.m.
On the way to the airport,
on the way back from like an exhausting,
you know, day at the PPA tournament, just EDM.
Yeah.
Or reggaeton.
My rule, like, because I drove,
TJ and I both drove all the time,
and so my rule was whoever sat in the front seat, it's just the DJ.
And so it was fun.
Like they would play whatever, like, you know,
there's a guy from East Texas who was playing like country
music and it kind of worked on the island.
It was like, this is kind of sweet.
There was one guy, I was like, he plays some music.
You're, you know, in the front, Nathan is his name.
He's a chocolatier from Northern Indiana.
Wow.
Works for a chocolate company,
like a really high end chocolate company.
Might be coming to Main Street Roasters actually.
Oh, that's nice.
But he played something for like 10 minutes.
I was like, I'm not really loving this.
It was like kind of like grungy, like 90s rock.
And I was trying to be nice to him and be like, so you're like pretty,
this is kind of like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
Is that kind of where, and he's like, I don't know who sings this.
I just saw this playlist that was on the search history called Maui Boys.
So I played it.
I was like, oh, so you don't like this either.
He's like, no, I think this is kind of nasty.
It's like weird.
I was like, OK, cool.
Let's change this.
I thought you were to say like, oh, it's like a 90s grunge.
He's like, it's Olivia Rodriguez.
This is like brand new music.
Yeah.
What it sounds like.
So anyway, that was kind of a funny little like, like he's trying to be nice to me.
I was trying to be nice.
And then finally it was like, oh, I'm glad I said something.
It's the Maui boys.
Maui guys being dudes.
Maui boys.
Yeah.
Anyway.
Yeah, we'll get, we'll get,
there's plenty to talk about with time and next.
I'm going to save a little bit of this.
There are just more things about restaurants we went to,
packages we went to, packages we went to.
That doesn't make sense.
Pack...
Okay. Yeah. I think two episodes yesterday with Trey, and then Amelia went to, you know in the office when Michael says, we gotta get YouTube down here
to film this, that's what happened yesterday.
TikTok came to Kansas City to do a live stream
with me and Scott, and so it was just nonstop talking
for two hours straight.
And then I was like, oh, I'm gonna go to the office
and I'm gonna go to the office and I'm gonna go
to the office and I'm gonna go to the office and I'm gonna go to the office and I'm gonna go That's what happened yesterday. TikTok came to Kansas City to do a live stream
with me and Scott.
And so it was just nonstop talking for two hours straight.
Yeah.
How did it go?
I know you said-
It went fine.
Okay, not anything?
It went fine.
Okay.
There were some interesting parts,
because I was like, you know,
this guy from TikTok is here.
And I'm like, you could confirm, you can deny,
you can no comment.
I was like, sits are here.
This is kind of a TikTok sponsored live stream.
Is there a way to like turn up the heat a little bit,
crank the dial?
He's like, yeah, we can do that.
I was like, that's crazy.
So I thought it was like some super cool backend,
turn up the heat.
He said what I could do is just boost your live
with a $10 credit.
I was like, oh, that's not really the same thing.
No, I want you to like really do it.
Like really.
Yeah, like really, I don't know,
re-configure the algorithm for us or something.
I did try and ask him after the live stream
more like TikTok strategies.
And unfortunately, some of the answers I got were like,
it was what I was afraid of and what I didn't wanna hear.
And he's like, it's all quantity.
I was like, well, that's not great.
Yeah.
It's like inversely related to quality.
So. Just consistency over anything. Yeah, he's like, you should that's not great. Yeah. It's like inversely related to quality. So just consistency over anything.
Yeah. He's like, you should really just be posting daily.
I was like, is anyone doing comedy posting daily?
He's like, no, I don't think so.
I was like, yeah, I just, we can't do that.
Yeah.
Or the quality will suffer.
I mean, or do you just post the same video
repost over and over and over again.
People love that.
It's fun.
Yeah. People love it. The comments will stake consistently positive
They'll be like this we please do this more more of the old stuff remind us more of this stuff
Anyway, yeah, that was kind of a kind of a long day yesterday
Rachel you have anything you want to add?
How's your job going? I mean without getting into it too much people probably are curious. Oh, it's going good
I love my students. Yeah, it's going good. I love my students
Yeah, it's a lot but love the students. Yeah, I love my principal
Great work with that probably makes a big difference. Yes, definitely around you
You have only the pride yet, of course
They feed into only the East. Yes. Okay, that's all I'll say
Technically overland park though. Yeah, I know isn't Okay. That's all I'll say. Technically Overland Park though. I know. Isn't that interesting?
There's yeah, something's up. I don't know how they do that. Um, yeah, next week should be some
fun episodes. Time will be back. Hopefully. Maybe we got T on C by then. Yeah. We'll be able to talk
about, um, I am going, I'm not doing the lazy river house, but I'm doing one step below the lazy
river house. I'm going to California and back before next week.
And they'll be right before Major Oasters.
Justin will be here.
We'll have Justin too.
He's, yeah, I think he'll be fun.
Ask him some football questions.
Yes, I need to prepare some.
Yes.
Let's do our comment of the week
and win of the week real quick.
All right.
My win of the week,
Timon sent this a while back and I forgot to bring it up.
So Timon made a GIF out of a video
that you guys did together.
It was when we did movie cliches.
And when Rachel delivered the line,
he's right behind me, isn't he?
And Brad was lurking in the shadows.
Timon made a GIF out of that.
And Timon was sent like an email that said,
great job, your latest share account milestone is 8,000.
So that GIF has been used 8,000 times of you guys.
That's kind of funny.
He's right behind me, isn't he?
That was a great, great video.
That is awesome.
It's so fun making that one.
So I'm glad he GIF'd that.
He deserves that,
because he also used that in his life.
He's used that line in a great way.
For sure, yeah, with Uncle John.
Yep.
People did resonate with that one.
Yeah, a lot.
That's awesome.
Um, my win of the week is just in general and Rachel be thinking of one, if you, if you want to have one of the week, um, just getting to hang out with TJ and just the whole, I don't know, just the entire process that it took for me to become friends with TJ is just wild.
Like, and just the fact that he knew you and like, whatever, we just became fast friends and got to hang out with him got to I was I recorded with him on his podcast walk in love if you guys want to listen to it.
Oh yeah it's fun.
Yeah recorded two episodes with them so another one will be another another one had just come out last week.
Anyway but yeah just just in general I mean he's we were like doing like going around the last day had like a little fire pit kind of thing,
talking about our highlights.
And one of his highlights,
he just like started crying talking about me.
And like, it was like this.
I mean, he's so sweet and so kind.
And yeah, I'm just thankful for a friendship like that,
that we just resonate with each other on a lot of things.
And so, yeah, just being able to go to Maui and hang out.
And yeah, what's the word,
subsequent one of the week, babe of the week, whatever you wanna call it is Catherine, just being able to go to Maui and hang out. And yeah, what's the word, subsequent win of the week,
babe of the week, whatever you wanna call it,
is Catherine, just being able to hold down the fort.
Mom gone.
I mean, 50 times a day, I feel like I was like,
yeah, my wife's awesome for letting me be here.
My wife's awesome for holding down the fort.
You know, yeah, TJ, every time we would FaceTime Catherine
and the kids, be like, thanks again, Catherine,
for letting them do this, this is so fun.
And thanks again.
Yeah, so yeah, win of the Week is just my life right now.
It's just fun, blessed.
Fun win.
Mine relates to my life being fun.
And it's been all the Mahjong girls.
Oh!
It's a big trend right now.
Mahj night.
In the Kansas City girls.
And we had like seven different people
from different friend groups over last night
learning Mahjong.
And it was so fun.
Yeah, it was fun. And it's to be a great game going into winter.
Yeah, it's a good winter game.
You know, it's funny is the tick tock guy, he was like, at first I was like,
hey, you could just come over.
He lives in Seattle. He's like, fly in.
You could come. We'll do the live stream in our podcast studio.
And then I found out, oh, Rachel's having girls.
I have a mahjong night. Yeah.
I was like, well, maybe that would, it's TikTok Chinese company.
Maybe they just stick around and play.
Maybe a perfect time.
They could teach us.
We might be playing it wrong.
That's true too.
Yeah, maybe.
But we just went to Scott's.
Anyway.
But it was fun.
It was great.
Good Mahjong.
I could do another one Saturday too.
Yep, another one Saturday.
You're all in on Mahj.
Yep.
Yeah, so is Catherine.
She's excited about Saturday.
It's so fun.
Yeah, so great.
Mahjong.
My comment of the week is gonna be from Jeff Running.
Jeff Running, I forget how you pronounce it,
but I love the light roast here.
Love that no dumb questions is basically just ask chat GPT.
Guilty, that's I mean, yeah, I'm like,
well, I don't really answer this.
Got a computer in front of me, so that's funny.
He also said, also trying to convince my wife
that my new love language is PDA.
That's funny.
My comment of the week is coming from Elizabeth Virgil.
She said, Brad was a little extra spicy today.
Get a little fired up fighting time and on the air debate, the, uh, you know,
TUV debate. Oh yeah.
Berulli's equation or whatever it was.
Bernoulli's equation.
Laughed out loud a lot this episode. Thanks guys.
Thanks Elizabeth for all your support always
Always a you know, the pressure of you tanks
Do you see that one comment that said like I've listed some old episodes and now I took a little break now
I'm back. They said we're much more polished now
That's us. Yeah, that is cool. I
Was nice. Is that it? Yeah, I think that's a that's a compliment for sure
It seems like it's the right trajectory trying to make sure it's a compliment
Yeah, I think that's a compliment for sure. It seems like it's the right trajectory.
I'm trying to make sure it's a compliment.
Yeah, whoever said that said like the podcast is great now.
I love the edition of time and you guys seem much more,
it was like, it was a list of things.
Right, that's awesome.
But I remember seeing that report polished.
So thanks.
Pretty fun, pretty fun.
Thank you guys for listening.
Check out all our sponsors.
So strong, good ranchers, major roasters.
Come to major roasters.
Come to major roasters.
If you're thinking to yourself,
I really wanna go, I don't know if it's,
maybe it's too late.
It's not too late, okay?
Some of the I'm Down boys are gonna be there.
Cool.
Yeah.
That's gonna be great to see them.
There was a guy on the Maui trip from Traverse City
and I was like, do you happen to know this guy?
And he's like, I know all those kids.
No way.
Yeah.
What are the odds? Small town, Christian, you know, Traverse City, Michigan.
Wow. Cool.
So I'm excited to meet the I'm Down boys
or at least a member.
So fun little reunion.
What if I'm named Marshall?
Who'd we meet in Michigan?
It could have been, I don't know.
I don't think there was a Marshall.
Okay.
Tell me when you guys meet him.
Okay.
Cam, I think is the one coming. Great. Cam. Okay. Tell me when you guys meet them. Okay. Cam I think is the one coming.
Great.
Cam. Clint.
Clint. Was Clint the one?
We met Clint. Yeah.
Clint. Yeah.
Nick. Others.
Baxter.
What was the one that was always Lockwood?
Lockly.
Lockly.
Something like that.
Yeah.
The background.
So great.
Cam's a really funny one, right?
Cam's really funny.
Yeah, that's great. That'd be fun to one, right? Cam's really funny.
Yeah, that's great.
I'll be fun to work.
Yeah, I'm pumped.
I would love like I'd be more excited about the I'm down boys getting back together than
in singing Backstreet Boys.
Like I want I want some I'm down boys content.
So anyway, it'll be fun to fun to meet him.
So all right.
Love you guys.
See you Monday.
Ghost from the spot. See you guys, see you Monday.
