Starting point is 00:00:00 Born of cold and winter air and mountain rain combining This icy force both foul and fair has a frozen heart worth mining So cut through the hard, cold and clear Strike for love and strike for fear To do the beauty sharp and sheer Split the ice apart and break the frozen heart Watch your step, let it go Watch your step, let it go Beautiful, powerful, dangerous, cold! Ice has a magic and beer control Stronger than one, stronger than ten
Starting point is 00:00:50 Stronger than a hundred men! Ha! Boon boon boon boon boon Ice! Born of a blue then winter Wear and mountain rain combining This icy fort most foul and fair Has a frozen hard word binding So cut through the hard, cold and clear. Strike for love and strike for fear. There's beauty and there's danger here. Split the ice apart.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Beware the frozen heart. They do that before every episode normally we just don't record it so that was uh we thought that you'd let you in on that practice stop stop just stop jeez Just stop All right, let's do this thing Why do I think this type means that it's going down with some random thoughts and white meat to Midwest best friends eating Fast food on repeat. So come along. Let's have some fun and go ahead get on your feet, cause it's a ghost from the Spock town. Ghost from the Spock town. There among the morning, we're taking a breath from the Spock town. Go for a Spock town? Yeah, man. You asked me beforehand, you said, do you know Frozen Heart?
Starting point is 00:02:18 And I was like, oh, I think, yeah, is that like a Bon Jovi song? That's what I was thinking in my head. And now I know, I have no idea what that song is. It's awesome. Don't know if I've ever heard it. There's a part in there where it sounds like Dream On by Aerosmith, where he's like, sing with me, sing for the year, sing for the laugh, sing for the tears or something like that.
Starting point is 00:02:36 There's a part that is a hard, cold and clear that part. Yeah. Strike for love and strike for fear. Yeah, it sounds like me. Sing for the year. Sing for the left. Sing for the tear. Yeah, sounds like Dream On. Sing with me, sing for the year. Sing for the love, sing for the tear. Yeah, that's fun. Yeah. You guys should sing Dream On.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Maybe end the episode. Same song. Do you know that song, Tymon? I know that part that Jake mentioned. It's awesome. Tymon would kill that song. Yeah, I know. Tymon would dominate that song.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Because it has like a crazy high part that I think you would- I don't know if i could i've heard raise your yeah yeah yeah raise your dream yeah oh yeah now you would need some yas on that one yeah yeah that's easy and you do that you kind of that was the right note yeah i always know what notes to hit yeah it's the tongue the throat the brain's got it we're working on both tongue right now what are you guys doing to it? He doesn't say his L's he says don't use Tongue in the roof of your mouth. Yes a lion. It was very interesting
Starting point is 00:03:32 like I think he just has like a lazy tongue like like I'm like both stick out your tongue and he like Has a hard time doing it. But now like what's it called like a tie thing? Oh, I mean surely hopefully not I think we would have recognized that by now, but maybe not notice like I think some people have just like a tie thing? I don't, I mean, surely, hopefully not. I think we would have recognized that by now, but maybe not. No, just like a, I think some people have just like a more of a, it's just a little more held down. I don't know. I think like some of my siblings had, I knew a girl there's like sniffed or something once she was friends.
Starting point is 00:03:53 You remember the backpacky Jackie, remember her? Uh huh. So it was her friend who I met in Spokane, Washington. They're like that thing at the bottom of your tongue. She like didn't have what's her tongue like couldn't extend. Oh, it couldn't. Oh, really? She can still talk fine. But it like she couldn't like stick it out of her mouth. Yeah. Interesting. Maybe that's I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:12 I haven't diagnosed it, but he's getting better at like if he goes really slow light, he'll be like, that was, you know, whatever I am the king, you know, you know, whatever. I turned on the white. It's like you turn on the white, turn on the light. Yeah. So we're working on it. That's good. You're working on it. Yeah. We should work on mine. My chin. Raise your la la la.
Starting point is 00:04:40 I'm so glad. Yeah, yeah, it works. You nailed that. That was. Yeah, I know. He's doing it. That's all you got. Just it's like this weird thing. Like, I don't know. He's just an artistic guy. He always like, every time he sings, he just puts his hand on his chin. That's kind of his thing. This guy in college, his name was Twitch and I didn't know his real name for years. And then I went to one of his like jazz concerts and it's because the way he played, uh, I think maybe the saxophone, he would get twitching
Starting point is 00:05:06 and that's why he had that nickname. I never knew his real name. Is that the name of the guy from holes? The Twitch? Yeah, that guy who likes stealing the cars. Yeah. Oh yeah. This guy, it might be the same guy.
Starting point is 00:05:18 The ages would line up. They kind of look similar. Both had kind of a buzz cut. Had a huge supply of sploosh in his room. I don't know. Yeah. Oh yeah. He'd get moving. Alan, oh, he used to have a little Twitch playing the piano.
Starting point is 00:05:32 I think he's trying to work on it because he knows he's playing in front of a bunch of people now, but he used to like do some like head Twitches and stuff. I kind of like that. I was going to say, that's one thing I feel like is acceptable in music, like musicians, like guitar players sometimes you can't help like moving your mouth weird or something. And I think people just like, yeah, he's just artistic.
Starting point is 00:05:51 That's what he does. Especially if you're playing the piano and you do something weird, people aren't saying like, oh, he's probably a genius or like he's got like, he's got like some sort of autism where he's like, you know, really good at this. That's what I think. What's the October, not October sky, August rush.
Starting point is 00:06:07 I knew it was a month, I knew it was a month. Dang it. Um, you know, just some modern genius, Jacob Collier. He had a Twitch to it. Who knows where he could become. I've been having some weird Twitches. No, new, new bodily habits recently that are kind of Twitches.
Starting point is 00:06:22 That's something on my list I was gonna talk about. Perfect. Let's talk about it. I think it's maybe, and this is so embarrassing to think that this is where I'm channeling it from, but I think I might be channeling a little bit of Travis Kelce. I think Travis Kelce- That is embarrassing. I don't think I'm doing it on purpose,
Starting point is 00:06:37 and I don't think it's even like, but I do this a lot. Have you noticed how he does that? Like you've got shoulder pads. I roll my shoulders. Like I'm like walking, like I just. Like, I'm like, I'm like walking, like, you know, like I just did something. I'm like, all right. Like, have you noticed how he does? You know, I'm talking about, I know you're talking about that.
Starting point is 00:06:51 It's so, it's very confident of you to admit that on the podcast. I think it's so funny. It's just like, and it's not like I'm like truly thinking I'm such the man when I do it. It's more of just like, it's more just kind of feels a little bit good on your shoulder blades when you do it. But now I like, I think I probably do it five times a day. Like first down. All right. Hey, yeah. Good to see you guys. All right. You know, like whatever it's like jobs done. And then another one, this is even maybe not more embarrassing, but also just like, just I've talked about how I talk to myself sometimes by myself, whatever I'm weird.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Uh, the thing I'm doing recently in the basement, always come back to the basement is like, I'll do something that's kind of annoying or kind of hard or kind of like that was, that was tough. And I'll just like to myself, just be like, Oh, yes, dude. Like, it's like, like, I'm like exhausted. Like, oh, and like, at first it was, yeah, at first it's like, like I'm like exhausted. Like, oh, and like, at first it was, yeah, at first it was like, ah, that was kind of a weird thing. And now it's becoming like this weird habit,
Starting point is 00:07:53 but it's not like I'm like doing it in public with other people or anything. Oh, I do plenty of dumb stuff by myself, but it's weird because I'm not, I'm not thinking about it. Doing it multiple, like making it kind of a habit almost now is pretty weird. Yeah. I don't know if it multiple like making it kind of a habit almost now is pretty weird Yeah, I don't know if it's like a permanent habit or if it's like a habit for that thing of which like oh You know it's kind of like rolling your eyes at this day like oh
Starting point is 00:08:15 Here I go again. So yeah, just here. I am just Roll my what were you gonna say about your habits? Same thing probably? Oh no, this, on Monday I kind of talked about how I am pooping in public a lot or whatever. Really, that's not that much of an issue. There was something that was becoming an issue. I was like, I have to figure this out.
Starting point is 00:08:39 And it's just how gassy I've been the last two weeks. I'm like, this is like dangerous to the people around me. Are they smelly gas? That's what I'm talking about. Oh, that's the danger. It's nuclear, yeah. Pure gas alone, oh yeah, if they didn't smell, I'd let them rip.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Sure. But it's like, this can't be good. This can't be right. And talking to people, you know, and I think you've tried to help, like, well, you know, there's a lot of fiber and vegetables and fruit and protein. That could be it. Well, there's 19 different things going on with my body. So I'm trying to figure it out. I think what it was, it all comes back to Dr. Ron. Cause I think he told me
Starting point is 00:09:19 I was allergic to lactose. And so I've been drinking lactose free milk thinking that was what was saving me. And then the last two days I've started doing more independent variables, deep, you know, trying to figure all this out with my protein shakes. I think it was the lactose that I was allergic to. So what I'm at or sorry, no dairy or what do you mean? Hold on. Yeah, it's the, uh, yep, idiot. It's the casein in milk is what I'm allergic to.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Oh, I've heard of that word. I don't know much about what it means. I think it's just one of the mainin in milk is what I'm allergic to. Oh. I've heard of that word. I don't know much about what it means. I think it's just one of the main ingredients in there. It comes from a cow. Yeah. So. Case in point. Case in point.
Starting point is 00:09:54 Can't have it anymore. Yeah, I mean, it was unnatural, what was happening in my body. But now it makes sense. I think it's because of an allergy that I had to the milk that I was consuming so much of. Interesting. Yeah, because you were drinking it
Starting point is 00:10:05 with all your protein shakes. Yeah, twice a day, every day. I was like, I guess this is just life now. I'm just gonna be a stinky little, you know, what's the guy's name with Charlie Brown? Oh, Pig Pen? Dirt Big? Yeah, Pig Pen.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Pig Pen, yeah. He's this compound word. I was gonna say Linus, but Linus is the blanket one. Yeah, yeah, I was Pig Pen for 10 days. Are you guys Charlie Brown people? Rachel loves Charlie one. Yeah. Yeah, I was pig pen for 10 days Are you guys are you Charlie Brown people Rachel loves Charlie Brown? Okay. I've only seen like the newer peanuts movie I liked it though. I want to see the Charlie Brown Christmas. I haven't seen it yet. Okay Yeah, let it box it watch it in July Yeah, go ahead letter box I
Starting point is 00:10:41 Yeah, didn't really grow up big Charlie Brown guy. I liked the idea of it more than I liked the actual movies. It's like a sweet kind of thing. And then you watch the movies and you're like, I don't know, I could take early of it. But I got to love the brand, like the peanuts brand. I love the music in it. Yeah. Those are good quality things.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Anyway, so yeah. I was trying to eradicate the gas. Well, I do feel like I knew like some of the most, especially in college, when you know, living in a fraternity, you just know all these things about the guys. One of the guys that was healthiest in our fraternity had the worst and most gas, like worst smelling and most gas. So it's like, I feel like if you are healthy or if you're like really, really nasty, like eating terrible stuff, like those two extremes sometimes give you something out of there.
Starting point is 00:11:26 I just wish it was different. I know, I'm like, if I'm gonna eat this good, I better feel amazing too. I don't wanna have to be squirming around the couch. Yeah, so you're not, you feel it too. Like it's not just like- A little bit, yeah. I'm just like, I have to get rid of this. I have to get it out of me.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Anyway, so I'm an oat milk guy, I guess. Life just keeps getting worse. Life just keeps getting less tasty Yeah, eventually just water and a few harvested carrots from the backyard Yeah, really I got to figure out this allergy thing that would open up a lot of doors. So maybe fix your allergies Man That's yeah. I'm sorry to hear it though. Other random things?
Starting point is 00:12:06 Hey, no worries. There's been a few others. The only one I can think of right now is the back, like the inside of my bottom teeth. It regularly feels like the, like when you haven't brushed your teeth for like 24 hours. Oh, like kind of gritty? Yeah. Or like there's something on them. I'm like, was that, it could be any, teeth for like 24 hours. Kind of gritty, chalky. Yeah, or like there's something on them. I'm like, what's that?
Starting point is 00:12:26 It could be any, yeah, like a film. It could be any number of new things I'm doing now. Is it all the fruit? Is it all the vegetables? Is it something factor is doing? Is it the protein? Yeah. Is it the milk?
Starting point is 00:12:35 Well, I switched milk, but I switched protein. Who knows? Do you think it's, is it more like a, like acidic or is it more like grainy? You know what I mean? I would go grainy. Okay, interesting. Now I just chew on myself like I'm a heroin addict.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Could it be that greens drink? Yeah. Sure, who knows? That seems kind of grainy. Yeah. That's too bad though. Oh well, I'll suck it up, live with it. Brush your teeth.
Starting point is 00:13:03 I'll try brushing my teeth. You can think about it. Yeah, Rachel suggested flossing. I was like, oh, I'll suck it up live with it brush your teeth. I'll try brushing my teeth. You think about it Yeah, Rachel suggested flossing. I was like, oh I forgot Just in general. Oh, yeah, I forgot that was even something I was saying no to yeah, I know I Flossed once a year and it's a good time. Do I don't even do that. I bleed, you know It's a lot of blood out there those little little picks. That's what's was telling Rachel. I was like, that would make it easy, I think. I've never tried them. Oh, you haven't? Oh yeah, they're way easier.
Starting point is 00:13:28 I don't floss. But I was telling you earlier, I've been trying to really maximize my time when I'm warming up my factor meals. I get three minutes and then two minutes, and I'm doing ab workouts, I'm emails, maybe I floss. Yes, I like that. That's my floss.
Starting point is 00:13:41 I got a floss pick right next to the microwave or something. There you go. Who doesn't want to floss right before they eat? That's when you're supposed to do it. Yes, I like that's my floss. I got a floss pick right next to the you know microwave or something Who doesn't want to floss right for the? Yeah, that's when you're supposed to do it. Yeah. Yeah, I don't do it before the dentist. I do it before I eat lunch smart Thanks, dude. I have been I I'm amazed by splinters. Do you ever think about splinters a Little bit get them. Yeah, cuz it's like it's in my skin, but it's like it's not even like there's no blood coming up It's like truly just in the outer outer layer of my skin. It's amazing I've yeah so many splinters recently dude and like I have one under my fingernail right now Brutal and I bet if I put it on this table, you wouldn't even know where to find it. Yeah, but it is
Starting point is 00:14:23 debilitating brother like. Like it is so painful and so uncomfortable. And like, yeah, I had one in my thumb for a while. And it's just like, I finally got it out and it was the smallest little thing. I was like, it's amazing that that tiny little particle of wood is messing with this entire, like I can't use my hand the same way because of it. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:14:43 I'm pretty sure I brought this up kind of recently podcast. But you know what? Iowa people call splinters. Oh, woodchucks. Kind of slivers. Slivers. Yeah. Wild.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Yeah. All right. Maybe I tried to Google what to do with the splinter underneath your fingernail. Not a whole lot of like great results. Like usually you can find a life hack for it. Soak it in something weird. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:04 Yeah. Burn it out. I don't hack for us. Soak it in something weird. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Burn it out. I don't know. Put it, put it, put it above a fire or something. I something, uh, maybe I need to be looking up slivers under a nail. Maybe Iowa people have figured this out because they're more like hands on people. Yeah. So what did it say? I, a lot of people were like, go to urgent care. I'm like, I'm not doing that. Yeah. And then some people are like, well, there was one woman that like ordered these specific tweezers. They're like super, super fine to get in there. I don't want to order any. It is so, I can see it. It's like, like I, sometimes I think I can just use my thumb, like a vac or my mouth, like a vacuum and just suck it out. Oh, you're not going to suck. I don't, it's not working. I know. I thought I could though. I mean, that's a strong suck.
Starting point is 00:15:46 You know, like it's right there, dude. It's right there. My dad used to use his pocket knife to get a splinter out. Yeah, I tried tweezers. I've seen pocket knife people and I'm just like, that looks worse than having a splinter. I think I used to get them out.
Starting point is 00:16:02 I would try to massage them to the surface, which is with my fingers. And then once you get this, like once they peek their head out and then you tweeze them. Yeah. You got to be careful though. I know. I was bleeding a bunch yesterday.
Starting point is 00:16:11 It's like a tick. You don't want to get just the body. I'd rather. Maybe I should just like, you know, when you like cut your fingernails too short and then like that hurts a little bit. Yeah. Maybe I should just like do that on purpose.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Because I'm close. It's right there. But it's like, I should just like do that on purpose because I'm close. It's right there. But it's like, I think that pain would be a lot less extreme than this pain. Time. What kind of pain do you ever know? Um, I don't know. Feeling good. Yeah. I was, I was going to say, I was going to say that we would always take safety pins, like the little like, Oh, smart. And then it's like kind of dig around it. And then, and then like once it's up, then you tweeze it. That that's not a bad thought dig around it. You should it's you're right excavating. It's like a fossil It's kind of what I tried to do that
Starting point is 00:16:51 And I can't tell it definitely has become less than it was earlier and like closer in so I'm making progress But you spend a lot of time looking your thumb prints now thumb prints. Yeah, no never All right, I'm gonna look at them. Yeah. That's pretty cool. It's mine. That's that's only yours. And it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:17:10 Sometimes like you could like lose the skin on your thumb and like the thumb print still like grows back. In the exact same way. Yeah. Yeah, that is fun. You're Yeah, thank you for thank you for pointing that out. It is like wild that we have all these tiny little Just like Mark's everyone look at your thumbs right now if you're not driving Or if you are driving just put on autopilot. You probably drive a Tesla you rich kids
Starting point is 00:17:32 I do look at my hand I don't know if I look at my hands more by notice my hands more because I'm gripping so many bars now my hands are All mm-hmm. I got man hands now got me yet the calluses come yeah I got calluses, and I got dead skin everywhere. I like it. Yeah, I like it. I like it. Good.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Anyway, splinters, man. I don't know what to think about. Just, if anybody knows how to, just like. Yeah, splinter help. Just someone put a poll on Facebook, splinters or slivers. There you go. Splints or slivers. Splinters.
Starting point is 00:18:02 More about my body. Got my DEXxa scan results back. Body percentage, 24%. Decent starting point. Probably not body percentage. Is that what I said? Uh-huh. What percentage of me is body?
Starting point is 00:18:17 So you hear a drink has a full-bodied flavor. Jake's is about quarter-body flavor. They put me in a small room, and then they scan the whole thing, and your body makes up about 24% flavor. They put me in a small room and then they scan the whole thing and like your body makes up about 24% of this room. That's a small room. Great, see you guys. Awesome.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Sorry, body fat. Okay, that sounds good. I don't feel like that's too bad. So a good starting point. Yeah. But room to grow or shrink. Or yeah, cool. Solid.
Starting point is 00:18:43 Okay. This was kind of fun. Specific, body fat distribution. Ooh. Left arm, 2.2 pounds of fat. Right arm, 2.1 pounds of fat. Cool. Consistently, the left side of my body,
Starting point is 00:18:59 just got a little bit more going on. That kind of makes sense, right? You're favoring, like, you're playing pickleball with your right hand and whatever. So my left leg, slightly more fat in it, and also more lean muscle in my left leg. Lean muscle, okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:18 It's like pretty like insignificant difference. Like 2.1 versus 2.2. Yeah, pretty small. But it's kind of interesting to look at all this. It'll tell you my visceral Yeah, yeah pretty small, but it's kind of change look at all this it'll tell you my Visceral fat like stomach fat like below like my abs. I have 3.8 pounds of Visceral fat wow I don't want to know I That's scary
Starting point is 00:19:36 Here's the that's the bad stuff. I hear it seems bad the fact that they're pointing it out to me I'm like that seems like what I'm supposed to get rid of yes, all right four pounds of fat By total mass breakdown I wake hundred thirty five pounds a hundred and twenty four pounds of me is lean mass come on, baby 41 pounds of me is fat mass which I don't like that term For about fat mass. Hey, little. Hey, fat mass.
Starting point is 00:20:08 Come here, fat mass. Kick his butt, fat mass. You take how much of a room, you fat mass? Jeez. Oh my. But then the final thing, I was not expecting to be, so it also gives you percentile, like where you're at on all these things compared to other like
Starting point is 00:20:26 Adult like 33 year old Caucasian men America. You think I don't know about America But for bone density 93rd percentile I was not expecting that I would be thriving in any of these categories But just kind of a fun thing like oh that is it I don't know if that really matters much But that's just a fun fact to know not to diminish your I think Zack is in the 98 for bone density He's got bones. I'm pretty sure that's what he said and he did his where Some what is it called supplement superstore? Yeah, he did his with dr. Ron. He held a rod. Okay
Starting point is 00:21:03 No, but that very well could be true as well Yeah, I was just like, oh, yeah cool. I sweet those got milk commercials. I was a kid. Yeah Yeah, yeah number is that what you understand? I don't understand what bone density I mean, I know the word bone. I kind of know density is like is it just like how strong it sick They are. Yes, it sounds like the density of your bones. Yeah, it says uh, I don't know where it's at now Here's how to understand your numbers. It says like your high bone density and like not very prone to fractures,
Starting point is 00:21:32 something like that it said. I can't find it now, but. You got strong bones. Just strong bones. Yeah. So kind of fun. So yeah, I've been walking around a little different knowing I got strong bones in me.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Interesting. I wonder how they even, I don't know anything about science. Like how do you test? Like what did they do to test your bone density? It was like this full on like full body X-ray. Yeah. So I'm sure with that, they're able to see like, you know, the denseness of it. It was like a very low key MRI. Like you ever take an MRI, it's like you have to be still and it's so loud for 45 minutes. This was like, just be super still for like three minutes. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Well, I'm also not great at that. Being super still. Once someone tells me to be super still, I have the itchiest face of all time. And you could see where it's at. It's like you're laying flat and it goes down you. So you're like, well, it's not on my head anymore. I should be fine here. And then like, can you tell me when it's past my arms? And then it's like, all right, you can move your arms.
Starting point is 00:22:29 It's like, thank goodness. Oh, wow, my nose itched. But if you move your arm too much, then it might do something on your legs. Yeah, so I was still like, all right, thanks. Yeah. Let's go right back down. That's great.
Starting point is 00:22:47 So it was fun. I might do it again. I don't know. Every three, every quarterly, every six months, maybe just to see if something's changing. I don't know. It'll motivate me. If it three months, my body fat's gone down to percentage points and like, yeah, let's keep working.
Starting point is 00:23:01 That'd be awesome. That'd be, it is fun to like, I know you wanted that, like tangible metrics. Yes, empirical things, not just like, because I could convince myself when you look in the mirror, in the right lighting, that looks better, I think. Oh dude, mirrors trick you all day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:19 And you put a little tanning oil on. Yeah, I'm always doing that. And I'm like, I think I'm stronger. Yeah, I'm doing just fine. Yeah. You get a golf club out. Yeah, you swing it. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Oh yeah. Who's fat mass now? Yeah, come over here. So yeah, it's the oil. Now that you say that out loud, I think it's the fact that I'm putting oil on myself. And that's how I'm able to trick myself. The X-Ray don't care about no tanning oil though,
Starting point is 00:23:48 and that's why I do it. That's right, yeah, tanning oils can't fool X-rays. Plus go back and see my girl, get another free infrared if you know what I mean. You know what I'm saying, oh I'm saying, infrared. Do you know the song? Sure you do, because everyone knows it. I don't know why, this song is following me around in my entire life.
Starting point is 00:24:07 This is gonna be great. I think it's Rihanna. I'm not positive. Rude Boy. Nope. Ponderi Play. No. Great songs. This has been fun. Go ahead. I don't know. I don't know if it's Rihanna anymore.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Baby, this is what you came for. Oh. Baby, the morning sun is up. That seems like Rihanna. Everybody's watching her, but she's looking at you. I feel like everywhere I go that song is on. You can't get away from it. No.
Starting point is 00:24:39 It feels like it's like this like universal, like that song works at a coffee shop, that song works at the gym, that song works at the mechanic, like whatever it is. Everybody's looking up, but she's looking for you. And I'm like, this song sucks. I don't like it very much. I don't like that song either.
Starting point is 00:24:59 It's just, it's fine. It's nothing good about it. It's just like, I think I hear this song every day of my life. I'm like, I don't know how it's not like, yeah. But I'll say, I don't even know who sings it. Like- Rihanna sounds right, but I'm not sure. I think it's not one of her biggest hits.
Starting point is 00:25:16 This is what you came for? Yeah. I have had, this is similar. Calvin Harris and Rihanna. Calv. Similar thoughts recently about about older pop music. Because when I was in high school, I remember I listened to a lot of 80s music,
Starting point is 00:25:29 and I loved 80s music. And back in the day, I remember thinking, what's our music, what are they gonna say 2000s music sounds like? I feel like 80s music has a distinct sound to it. 70s music sometimes does. Like, classic rock has a sound like 2000. I just remember feeling bad for my own generation even back then. And like, what's even gonna stick around?
Starting point is 00:25:49 And just recently it started to hit me like, I think I'm starting to see what's sticking around from our generation. Yeah. And it's it's just like mainly like wedding songs. And I'm not saying because we hear them at weddings, but just like it's the same playlist. Oh, like if you're at the mechanic. Wedding songs. Yeah, kind of. It's just like, those are the ones saying, like Bruno Mars. He is gonna be around for,
Starting point is 00:26:11 his music is gonna be around for a little bit. Little bit safer, safer songs. Like Kelly Clarkson, she's gonna stand the test. Yes, there's just certain, it's just gonna be a certain amount of pop songs that are relatively safe that you're gonna just like hear from now on. Yeah, just like maybe like, where was I at? You know,
Starting point is 00:26:27 he's heard like teenage dream by Katy Perry. Like, huh, I guess that one's going to stick around party like a rock star. I don't think that one's sticking around. Probably great. It's time though. No way you've heard it. I don't think so. Yeah. I was a great song. Who's saying that? It was a one hit wonder. Is it? No, I was a great song. Who sang that? It was a one hit wonder. Is it?
Starting point is 00:26:48 No, I was going to say plain white teas. That's Hey there, Delilah, something boys. Yeah. That's a shop boys shop boys shop boys. Party like a rock party. That's all it was pretty much. Yeah, maybe it wasn't that good actually. It felt good at the time.
Starting point is 00:27:09 That was like the summer before my junior year, I think that song was huge. Released 2007. Yep. The album, Rockstar Mentality. You got a rockstar mentality, mama. Yeah, like even within the hip hop realm, like you don't hear chameleon airs
Starting point is 00:27:27 riding dirty very often. Yeah, not much from like rap in that age is making it out of there, unless it's ludicrous on a Justin Bieber song. Ludicrous, maybe a little Jay-Z, Kanye, those guys will stay in the test of time probably. Yeah. But yeah, I don't think chameleon airs, you know,
Starting point is 00:27:44 Jay Kwan's probably not getting, well, but then again, What's His Name Shaboozy basically sampled it. Yeah. Does anybody, do people even know that? Sometimes you know the song. Oh, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't. Oh yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:56 Did you know that? I was like, it's not the exact same song by any means, but it was kind of like sampled from a song from our childhood. Oh, interesting. No, I feel like it sounds just like not that original. It just sounds very, this is how like a chant, I don't know, just like some kind of anthem would sound,
Starting point is 00:28:12 but I didn't know it was sampled. Dude, I should have. Or kind of copied. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Same, yeah, cadence kind of. Sample reminds me, I should have Shazam this, because it was like when I was getting down at the gym, so I've taken my headphones out, and's what's as I'm leaving but I
Starting point is 00:28:28 Heard a song I I don't know how this is allowed or like what he's going for But let's see if I can remember the verse the melody was exactly like country roads by John Denver same melody And it was like similar. It's like Was it been rector? ago like green grass. Bum bum, bum bum bum bum bum. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:28:51 No, this was like really trying to sound like it. It was like, now I'm gonna say Old Town Road, but that's a different song. Some other like adjective in a road, like gravel roads. And like, oh wow. It's kind of, it was like, oh, this is a cover. No, it's a parody. And then he would go on and just say something else.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Big red barn and my boo. You know, it's like, all right, this is that melody. And then we got to the chorus. It was, oh yeah, it was drops of Jupiter. So then he switched to just doing that exact melody. Tell me, you're missing me on your feet. Yes, and I might have the verse of course backwards, but those are the two songs.
Starting point is 00:29:31 I was like, this is odd. As I'm walking out of the gym, like what kind of song is this? Drops of Jupiter and Country Roads. Ty, are you looking this up? You texted a friend. I am exactly. I thought I was like, good for you, Ty,
Starting point is 00:29:43 I'm trying to figure this out. Yeah, you could tell this is getting somewhere. He's texting Zach about his bone density Do you have been popping off lately with that bone density I think I Don't understand how like how loud it is to do samples and stuff like or like that rise you something keep going keep going I just don't know all that. I don't know how that works, but Keep going, keep going, keep going. I just don't know all that. I don't know how that works, but yeah. This is hard to Google.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Someone desperately needs to just already know this song and please tell me what this song is. He even talks about roads. It's not country roads or maybe it is country road. It's like so similar to the real song, but sample reminds me, I almost texted you guys and I'm glad I just remembered it. I need your guys' help
Starting point is 00:30:20 because you guys have good ears like this. Forrest Frank just came out with a new song called Drop. Okay. There was like some... Let's play it for just like a few seconds. Great song. I was down, but now I'm dropped. There is some background like a brass happening. Just like three different kind of like notes that hit and it's driving me crazy.
Starting point is 00:30:42 I'm like, I've heard that like... Is it first half or second half? First half. Yeah, it's two different songs by the way. Yeah, yeah, great. I kind of asked for that. I was like, why aren't there more twists in music? He delivered.
Starting point is 00:30:52 It is two distinct songs. Hey, had to make it to the top just to see all the drops. Yeah. So those three. Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. Does that sound familiar at all? Yeah, very, What is that?
Starting point is 00:31:06 Blue Base Fiasco, Kanye West. Okay. Yeah, I'm trying to think of the song. It felt almost iconic to me, and I was like, I guess he's sampling something that I should know. Bum bum bum. Bum bum bum. Yeah, maybe it's not that iconic,
Starting point is 00:31:22 because I tried Googling it, Forrest Frank isn't that big of an artist, where there's all this lore, like he dropped a new song? What's this that you know, you can't find anything. So I was like I just Brad and time and I got to tell me I Don't think I've heard that specifically before. Okay. Well, he has a song history in the making, you know that song I don't think I have no it Go ahead. All right. Um, I feel like it has a similar like little brass kind of thing I don't know like I feel like Nelly kind of did something.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Wait, who has a song called that? Heart of a Champion kind of like has a little bit of brass like that in it, doesn't it? Isn't it Forrest Frank that has the? I'm not seeing. What's it called? That history in the making. Yeah. I mean, it's not the song.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Kind of like not all the lights, but a song like that that Kanye has. I'm trying to think of what's the Kanye song, Kanye songs. That'll get me there. Kanye's music. I know it's like, it's not all the lights flashing. No, it's not flashing lights either. Flashy lights. You guys listen to church this week? I did. Fun.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Yeah. Pretty upbeat. Yeah. Pretty good little jubilee. This is this type of song. This wouldn't come out. I was like, this is very just like of its. Do I listen to what?
Starting point is 00:32:40 We were talking about the T pain song that I love called. Oh shoot. I forgot. I forgot to text it to you. Okay. No, I did not. It's a, it's a strange song. There's a lot going on, but it's fun. Hi. Send some songs that that sounds like to everybody out there or ghosties out there. Say, what does this song remind you of? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Yeah. It sounds so familiar to me. So maybe it's something weird in my childhood, huh? It not I'm gonna figure out this forest Frank song real quick with you timing. Okay, cuz you know forest pretty well fairly Well, yeah, it's like more is newer stuff I'm gonna try to do my force of Frank impression, but I'm gonna mumble through the words because I never know the words So I'm just gonna do it as an impression as if it's an Instagram real promoting the song Yo, what's one? Oh, that's good. That's good.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Okay. What's the other word? Okay. Okay. Okay. Then one more. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:37 Chill, chill, chill. Chill. Oh, my shirt. It's six sizes too big. All right. Um, do this. So, do this. Do this.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Do this. Do this. Do this. Do this. Do this. Do this. Do this. Do this. Really? You don't know from that? No, come on. Somehow. Yeah. Oh, it's not, I'd never get used to this, but what song is it? I'll find it guys. You guys go ahead and do whatever
Starting point is 00:34:21 you want to do here, but this is this is my new project. Maybe it's a maybe it's surfaces, but it's definitely for us for singing. It's him singing it. Sorry. I recently looked up the music video for Sunday best. I was like, Whoa, for Frank used to have a long hair and he like really improved. Oh, look since then I feel like interesting Yeah, I like never realized nice. Get that mullet and a mustache Should be smores or where we gonna say
Starting point is 00:34:57 Found anything. Yeah, I was gonna say that Hattie is you know doing upward cheerleading right now and they do like they do cheers, obviously every single game. But then by the end of the season, they've been working on a song that they like do a dance to. Okay. And the song they're doing this year is I was down, but now I'm up. And she was so pumped about like, Dad, you're never going to believe the song we're doing is this. You guys like listen to it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, I'll find that guys, but go ahead and move on without me.
Starting point is 00:35:32 Hey, let's do a good ranchers ad real quick. Right now? Yeah. All right. Go ahead with what you're thinking. I was thinking we could talk about good ranchers. It's American meat delivered. They ship right to your door.
Starting point is 00:35:41 And then from there we could talk about it's convenient. It's affordable. And with the $25 off talk about, it's convenient, it's affordable, and with the $25 off, you know about that, like the promo thing. It's for the first box, and then after that it's free meat add-on. Yeah. Ground beef, chicken, or salmon.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Yeah. And then just, I would really nail home the no antibiotics, no seed oils, no added hormones. They gave us a new stat. What is it? Some with 85%. Do we need to say that? Yeah. Remind me what that is.
Starting point is 00:36:09 It's something like 85% of like grass fed, like beef is all imported from other countries. Yes. Yeah. So talk about that. Okay. Cause I think that that's kind of alarming. You think like, oh, this is like, Yeah. It's kind of a misdirection. Yeah. It's not American meat.
Starting point is 00:36:23 It's not truly American. So talk about that. And then, I don't know, just do's kind of a misdirection. Yeah, it's not American meat. It's not truly American. So talk about that. And then, I don't know, just do some kind of personal story about how you guys are true. You were talking about how you were enjoying the chicken recently. I could tell that story. Or I know you're having the beef a lot.
Starting point is 00:36:35 You can talk about that. Yeah, there's cheeseburger meatballs again. And then, Cather made this spaghetti and meatballs. There's a next level when you have it with Good Ranchers beef. OK, you think you can say all that again when it time comes we might it might take a couple takes but let's try it okay okay all right three we roll in two oh time has to press record one here it comes Good Ranchers this is a Reese's Peanut Butter Cups sound experiment.
Starting point is 00:37:06 We're looking to find the perfect way to hear Reese's so you'll buy more of them. Here we go. Reese's. Reese's. Reese's. Reese's. Reese's. Hey, get out of here, you little stinker!
Starting point is 00:37:21 Reese's. Reese's. Reese's. Peanut Butter Cups. Reese's. Reese's. Reese's. stinker? Reeses! Reeses! Reeses! Peanut butter cups. That breathy one sounded very creepy, am I right? Whatever you choose, your espresso will be handcrafted with care at Starbucks. Let's do our s'mores if you're able to double task. I'm nervous about the s'mores. So yeah, Brad texted this last week. It was like, let's do a s'mores called things I used to love. Yeah. And I love that immediately.
Starting point is 00:38:40 I wrote down like 10 things, then forgot about it. Haven't looked at it since then, but I'm looking back at my list. Oh, I wrote a solid 10 things then forgot about it haven't looked at it since then but I'm looking back my list Oh, I wrote a solid ten things last week Yeah time is pretty hard or two like You're not that old yet. There's not that many things that you used to love I was conflicted about like should it be things I loved to do or just like things I was like a fan of or whatever I wrote down some things. We'll see what happens You're not some things. What happened Google? Why don't we just Google everything right away you Google it?
Starting point is 00:39:06 It's a surfaces song okay. What's it called history in the making oh? You knew yes, or timing if you were to just search History the making forest Frank It also should have still come up Yeah, that's true. That's true. They need to fix that realize. They're the same guy, huh? What's the order? Uh? Jake time and Brad I don't think the or is gonna matter too much. I don't think we're gonna be like oh, do you guys you school? Line yeah, all right. I'm gonna go with the red meat. Oh sure got most the way down list I was like oh, yeah, this probably deserves to be on there man. I used to love it and
Starting point is 00:39:43 Got most of the way down the list. I was like, oh yeah, this probably deserves to be on there man I used to love it and Don't know what it's like these days. Don't know what she's up to but good Rangers make some good ones. I miss her Yeah, they used to love red meat. Yeah I'm gonna say breast milk. Okay. Good. No wonder you're nervous Not anymore, but been clean for like 13 years now. Yeah. Been off it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:09 13. I've ever told you ever since I was five. Yeah. There was one time we were at a KU game. I think I've talked about the podcast before. You know, Lawrence, Kansas, where KU is a little bit more crunchy weirdo kind of stuff. And yeah, there was some kid who was literally like standing on the the like row in front of his mom, like standing there
Starting point is 00:40:31 standing feed. Just was she down? Where was she at? I don't know. She was she was sitting down. Larger woman had had some had some distance to her, if you know what I mean? Like so he could he could stand there beneath her.
Starting point is 00:40:47 And he was comfortable. He was like under the udders. Kind of, it was wild. And I saw it first and I remember, I watched my dad watch the reaction. Cause he kind of did like a quick look and then he saw it, he looked back, he's like, oh my gosh, like wild.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah, you can't be standing. No. You shouldn't be able to have any words like You can't you can't be like Write your name somewhat legibly on a piece of paper and then go have some breast milk from your mom I think it's weird if you can remember it. Yeah, that's great. Yeah fair I think Theo Vonn's joke is uh, you got to stop once they start ordering it a certain way
Starting point is 00:41:28 Exactly All right, good answer time in thanks red meat breast milk. My first one's gonna be Sports Center Okay, Sports Center. I grew up watching it on repeat It was highlights and it was glorious nowadays you watch Sports Center and it's just people Walk talking in circles about things that I don't even know if they truly believe. They're just trying to like get people aggravated. Yeah, it's like rage baiting.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Yes, and it's just annoying. And it's just, it's probably way easier and way cheaper to just be like, let's talk about this back and forth 45 minutes at a time. But Sports Center, it would go on a loop. And so like, if you saw it once, and then you wanted to see that exact same show,
Starting point is 00:42:07 you'd just watch it for another hour. Yeah. It was amazing. It was the best. So Sports Center, my next one is going to be Applebee's. Applebee's. I love it. Applebee's was a treasure back in the day.
Starting point is 00:42:22 It was like this neighborhood bar and grill. They always had like local memorabilia from the high school up there. They always had cool design, like decorations. It felt like we were kings when we ate at Applebee's after church. And now you go to an Applebee's and it's just sad. Like, it's just like this,
Starting point is 00:42:39 it doesn't feel like we should be here. It doesn't feel like anybody should be here. They're shutting down Applebee's left and right. But there was a while where Applebee's was popping. You think people still meet there to discuss something? Like, hey, we should, then we need to go over that. Let's meet for coffee. Do you think everyone's like,
Starting point is 00:42:56 you wanna do, let's talk over at the Bee's? We go, we go, we go Bee, Bee it up. I don't know who's going there. I think there's maybe some local people that are like, this is my spot. Kind of ironically, we're going to Applebee's every time. I guarantee you, if you go to talk over a contract at Applebee's, you're gonna regret signing that thing. It's not gonna work out for you.
Starting point is 00:43:14 That person should not be giving you financial advice. Yeah, if it's a job interview, don't take it. If it's a, yeah, just don't do it. Where would you be like, oh, they know what they're doing. Like is Panera okay? like let's meet a Panera It's still pretty casual. Is it I don't know depends on the the acquisition so meeting. Yeah, I like Panera I think what Panera is okay like a coffee shop is okay, but Applebee's for whatever reason feels like Too formal but not formal enough
Starting point is 00:43:40 Yeah, definitely not formal enough. Yeah, then get it done Yeah, it's not like somewhere you can just walk in and talk for as long as you want and then leave. Maybe life hack. You have something really secretive to talk about, but you need to be in public for like accountability. This guy could kill me. So that please, no one's going to overhear us.
Starting point is 00:43:57 The mob is running Applebee's. Yeah. No one's near us. That's probably it. That could be it. Chili's though, like Chili's stood the test of time. I think this is great. Kaden chicken pasta. They're though, like Chili's stood the test of time. I think. Chili's is great.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Kaden chicken pasta. They're doing just fine. But Applebee's for whatever reason, it felt like they were, you know, Coke and Pepsi. And now all of a sudden it's like, people love Coke still, but man, Pepsi's really falling off. So shout out to Applebee's.
Starting point is 00:44:19 I'm going to say, bottle flipping. Oh yeah. It hit right at the perfect age for me. I was like 11 and it was also like the peak of my youtuber phase. Do you watch that's amazing back in the day? Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I watched the video you were in of, I mean, I'm sure. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:33 Whenever. Yeah. The column. Yep. Dice. Yeah. Yeah. I was obsessed with it.
Starting point is 00:44:41 That's yeah. Bottling was great. 2016. You can't even. I mean, I was obsessed with it. I was obsessed, yeah. I was obsessed with it. That's yeah. Bottled up. It was great. 2016, 15, 14. I hated it. Oh, I loved it. That was fun. That's all kids want to do in youth group all the time. I was right there with them. I remember I tried like Isaac was a youth group kid of mine. I was like, you want to go to the park and like flip a water bottle. And I was like, this is so dumb. Why are we doing this? You guys went to the park?
Starting point is 00:45:05 Well, I was, we were like driving around and I was like, I don't know. I feel like I shouldn't be like one-on-one with you too much. Like we should be in a public place. Like go to this park. Want to meet up, flip some bottles. It was, it was worse than being one-on-one. It was like, dude, let's, let's try to like, yeah, I'll try to connect with you, you know, and like get to know you, man.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Like really like, like lean into your life and how you're doing, like, I don't know, flip bottles. You love it. Meet them where they're at. Oh dude. Yeah, they were trying to get it on top of the basketball rim. Yeah, fun.
Starting point is 00:45:39 And then when they do it, they freak out. And I'm like, cool. Yeah, cause it's hard. It was, yeah. I'm not trying to act like I was like, this is the easiest thing ever. But, Oh man. Yeah. Brian Hinniger loved him bottle flipping. Anyway, that's a good one time. That is good. Thanks. Next I'm going to go with a pig and out pig and out used to love pigging out. I mean, any age, you look back to high school. Oh yeah, it didn't matter what I ate at all. I have donuts for every meal. That's a great word.
Starting point is 00:46:10 And then even just like four years ago, how little I cared about anything I put in my body, even back to three weeks ago, still didn't really care that much. Every time I drive by Canes, I think, Oh, I still remember what it tastes like. I can still remember what it tastes like. Man, I miss Cane's. Yeah, Cane's is like the hardest one for you. For whatever reason, yeah, I was loving Cane's. Really?
Starting point is 00:46:34 But, so yeah, I used to love pigging out. Next, we're gonna go with a girl in low-rise jeans. Okay. Girl in low-rise jeans. Sorry if that was on your list, Tymon. Yeah, I'll take it off. You know, it's just fashion. It's all cyclical.
Starting point is 00:46:46 They'll come back at some point. But right now, it's like hard to imagine. I shouldn't have even said jeans, but just a girl in low rise anything. Fill in the blank. It just, it looks odd right now. It looks like. You see a girl in like a low rise bathing suit,
Starting point is 00:47:01 and it looks unnatural. There you go. bathing suit and it looks Unnatural There you go Ten years now, I'm so used to seeing high-rise everything. It's so true I remember when the mom jeans or whatever you would call it like came and I was like, that's ridiculous Yeah, and now yeah, it's like that's just normal. I'm doing it rocking it. Good answer time. You have that one Yeah, rocking it. Good answer. Tyman, you have that one? Yeah, I crossed it off. I'm going to say AJR, the band.
Starting point is 00:47:30 No longer love? I haven't listened to them for like a year probably. And I also like, I'm kind of annoyed by them now somehow. Like I don't know. They get political on you or something? No, I think just their music, I just realized I don't like it anymore Okay, something about it, but I was like there was I mean for probably 20 22. They were my top. Yeah artist I think so like I loved them. You see them live. No, they do a good job
Starting point is 00:47:55 They have a good pretty good show They like seems like they care a lot spend a lot of time making a live show, but make me feel bad Well, no, I mean, I was it chicken pickle or somewhere recently. And one of their songs came on way less sad. I was like, first of all, of all the AJR songs to put like in like a fun environment, the song about depression, even in the title, not the song you put on. And that song does kind of annoy me. Like, I don't know. I still like it. Yeah, I think I just realized I was like, oh, focus on the magnet. I'm fringing at him for some reason now
Starting point is 00:48:25 So yeah, all right didn't expect to love them bread Um, sorry, I was thinking about AJR then I thought about TJ TJ's good guy shout TJ He likes a job both eight acronyms with J. That's right. AJ TJ. Um, my next one is going to be Madden. Slash video games in general. If I had to choose one video game, it'd be Madden. I don't play video games anymore. I haven't played much in a long time,
Starting point is 00:48:56 but man, when I played, did I love Madden. I could play it day in, day out, especially during the football season. My friends were always big seasonal sports people. Like, basketball season, we're playing basketball, whatever, and Madden season was the best. It was awesome. Scott and I just sleepovers, just playing,
Starting point is 00:49:14 rushing attack, all the different things. Rushing attack is fun. I feel my biggest take on Madden is that it was best on Xbox slash PS2, and then when it moved to 360, it changed and it's not as good with you. It's still fine. It's still okay. But like, it is so fun back on those old ones. It felt like a video game and now it feels a little bit more like they're trying to be real life. Yeah. You got to run the ball through the a gap, but it feels
Starting point is 00:49:39 like you're slower. Like the, like, you don't have as big a gap. Whatever. You can't truck people as easily. So Madden. And then my last one, I'm going to go ahead and say after last week's, two weeks ago, I suppose, Monday's episode, I'm going to say Tyman's innocence. I had, I had time on my list. I'm going to say time is innocence. I used to love it.
Starting point is 00:50:06 I was like, that is so sweet. Like how, like he brings this new like flavor to us. And then for him to purposely, I was like, time, we might need to bleep you out. We might need you to just, you know, to go out of his way to say something inappropriate on the podcast. Oh man.
Starting point is 00:50:20 It's not what I thought. Not what I thought we had. Tymon your, your like additional like texts on the screen was so funny. It's not what I thought. Not what I thought we had. Timon, your, your like additional like texts on the screen was so funny. They're so good. So anyway, time is innocent. It's just cracked me up, man. There was a guy, men's worship night that pastored our church. He talked to me.
Starting point is 00:50:38 Did he? I loved your slip up on the podcast. I was like, thank I was like, thanks. It's like, dude, I almost had to pull over my car. So I was laughing so hard with that. Oh yeah. Shout out Nick. But anyway, those are my answers. My sister also texted me. Everybody loved it. So yeah. Yeah. Oh man. Okay. I'm conflicted about what to pick. I've got plenty written down. I'm going to say, uh, I'll just go trampoline tricks.
Starting point is 00:51:06 That's great. I had this like obsession with, I mean, I would just like every day go out, try to try to do a backflip a couple of weeks later. I finally could do a backflip. Then I was like, I got to add some rotation. I was just like, I would watch tutorials on trampolines. I would like, do you have like a guy you'd love to like come back to and watch? Uh, there was this one guy oh what was his name oh I don't know what is I'll think of it later but like he would he was like having his videos like but you gotta focus I was like his whole thing I remember it's like it's so learning a back 180 or something like that but yeah they're like a solid year to my life or
Starting point is 00:51:42 I was like flipping was like my I was like I'm gonna do this Probably was it pig me. Yes. Yep. Pig me dude doing. All right He's still making instructional content. This was six years ago. That's why I guessed him. Maybe let's see Pig me as 3.3 million subscribers His latest video five days ago, while why weightlifting is making people shorter. Oh, great. Just my luck. He is. He's he's into weightlifting now. Yeah, I remember he was like, he would like promote
Starting point is 00:52:19 his like, get in shredded course. I was like, I don't want that. I want a back 360. I only trained with machines for a month. I walked 10,000 steps a day for a month. Did I even make progress one entire year later? All these different things. He's shredded though, Jake, you could learn a little bit. Yeah, but he's pipsqueak too, but he's short. He's tiny, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Dude, but yeah, there was like a summer of my life where I could do a standing backflip on the ground and have like lost it. Can't sense. Wow. Back tuck. Yeah. Wow. That's impressive. Six minute mile back tuck. Yeah, maybe time is just low key just good at everything. though, Hattie and Bo have recently discovered like whatever you want to call it. We call it skying double jump. Like double bouncing, double bounce. Like they, and they think it's so, Bo asked me to do it to him the other day. I was like, you don't know what you're asking. You go to science class and learn how that's not a good idea. That's a, yeah. You would fly off this, that you would hit the neighbor's house. Double bouncing is so fun. It's so fun. The main problem with like little kids, if you're trying to like bounce them, they just will buckle.
Starting point is 00:53:27 They like won't even. They're not strong enough to like. Accept the bounce. Oh really? Yeah, so even if you tried, he might not work. Tim's got a lot of experience doing this. I know my stuff. I could fly him up there.
Starting point is 00:53:37 Yeah. Try to catch him. All right, my last one. Three words, shortened to two. Buncha snow. Buncha snow, I see. Buncha, first word, snow. I mean, who didn't used to love it?
Starting point is 00:53:52 Yeah, you get out of school. It's fun, it's different, who knows what'll happen? We're going sledding, hot chocolate, everyone's staying home, this is great. And then now you hear buncha snow. Meteorologist comes on and says, oh, next Wednesday, expect two inches to a bunch of snow. You think, oh boy.
Starting point is 00:54:12 Yeah, I think more recent events, Rachel's car dying twice in it, you know, just like, and the fact that it's still here. I know you're used to that. If you live in Minnesota or Iowa, Kansas City, we've had back to back, 50 degree days. We're close. Doesn't matter, still here had back to back, 50 degree days. We're close.
Starting point is 00:54:25 Doesn't matter, still here. Yeah. Half my lawn, still here. Crazy, can't get rid of it. I have a shout out to one of my friends, Matt Gilbert, lives in Memphis and so fun, it snowed there, built a snowman and got warm pretty quick in Memphis. So the snowman was slowly melting.
Starting point is 00:54:44 Yeah. And he sent me, he sends us like every day, Memphis. So the snowman was slowly melting. Yeah. And he sent me, he sends us like every day, like a updated, like snowman pick. And then the very last day when it was like definitely melting, he sent it with like the explosion in the sky song underneath it from Friday night lights, one of them. And it was the perfect, like, yeah, just the,
Starting point is 00:55:00 but then he looked and he's like, actually there's like, and there was like this Palm size, like little pieces of snow in the grass. It's like, it lives on a little bit longer. So that's fun. Yeah. A bunch of snow is good. I had on my list. I had rainstorms. Same idea. Yeah, because it was kind of fun. Watch the storm come in once. Once you own a house and you've had a flood in your basement.
Starting point is 00:55:17 Yeah, it's no longer fun. You just get nervous that the sump pump's not working now. Exactly. Yeah. Any big snow you think what are the roads going to be? I see is my roof going to leak, you know, fill in the blank. Yeah, that's fun. I, I still like snow, but it's only because I haven't had too many terrible issues. And you have kids now. I think there's a lot of things that get exciting again. Yes. And my fireplace works. I'm trying to rub that in. Explosions in the sky. We're on a meet yesterday was our first volleyball game with like our full team all playing.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Yeah. And so I think just the camp counselor and me, you know, just like, well, anything could be a memory. And so I sent them a text, like game at eight 30 tonight and then send them this voice memo. I didn't do explosion in the sky, but I did a Alan Parsons project. I did serious.
Starting point is 00:55:58 Perfect. I just sent them a quick, like, I don't know, starting lineup. And now. And just did this whole big thing, introduce, I mean, most of them don't know each other. I don't know. That's so funny.
Starting point is 00:56:12 You know, one of them, two of them very well at all, but it's kind of fun and so hyping everybody up. And then we show up last night and we're playing, you know, basically an art institute team. Like I wasted the good, the good voice memo on a bad team. You can find more songs, you can do it again. I know, I am thinking I gotta keep this up.
Starting point is 00:56:28 Something else in the future, I realized pretty much everyone on our team has a college highlight reel. So I gotta do something with that. Whether I'm editing them together or something funny. I gotta do something. Bunch of D1 athletes. I was looking up, yeah, I was checking to see if everyone has something on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:56:46 You look up Tate Unruh basketball on YouTube and there's a video of him making 35 out of 36 threes in a row. I've seen that video. You have, yeah. I did not know it existed. Crazy. That's really- That's before I knew who he was.
Starting point is 00:56:58 I was like this guy is- Really impressive. Yeah, insane. Would never say it to his face, but a great shooter and even better guy, but I'll keep that to myself. Yeah, don't, his head's so big already. He did show up in leggings last night, like tights, and I was like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:15 Yeah. And I was like, whoa, leggings. He's like, yeah, my wife said the same thing. She's like, you're going leggings, first time meeting everyone. And he's like, I don't know what the dress code is. I don't, you know, I'll adjust. That's great.
Starting point is 00:57:26 But it was great. Tate's played by far the least amount of volleyball. So it's pretty fun having him out there. He's up high above the net, perfect set. He loves the tip. He says he's a finesse, he's a touch guy. Yes. He's like, Isaac's the power.
Starting point is 00:57:37 I'm more of a touch guy. So he's just like, he doesn't move his elbow. Yeah, he just like moves the top of his hand. Finding the pockets. Yeah, that's great. Screens work just like moves the top of his hand. Finding the pockets. Yeah, that's great. Screens work just as well as going downfield sometimes. Anyway, back to Shmores, honorable mentions. I got a good handful.
Starting point is 00:57:52 What do you got? I only have two. I have squash, the sport. Oh yeah. Love squash in college. So fun. I had a squash medley in one of my factor meals last week. You eat it?
Starting point is 00:58:03 I did. It was actually the one that we had over at Scott's house. Okay. It was all right. Yeah. Still ate it all, but on the lower end of vegetables. You add the right things to squash, it can be all right. Sure.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Yeah, squash the sport. It's still white, still like squash the food, all right. And then T9, was ecstatic about T9. You heard T9, Tymon? No idea what that is. Okay, so this is gonna date us this is pull up your phone app all right timing my phone app oh I go to keypad so back in the day time and when you texted when texting first came out that's also sounds like we're
Starting point is 00:58:36 so when texting dropped when texting first came out every single letter you had to type in like if it was a B you would type out the two twice. So bump up. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So that is how you text it and see, you know, Oh, right. Right. Yeah. But T nine made it to where it kind of predicted. If you just pressed it once and you did all your, like you pressed B, you know, B R A D like all those different things. It would know like, okay, based off that, there's probably only three words it could be. So they would just give you those words and it made texting so much faster. That sounds sick.
Starting point is 00:59:09 All of a sudden you could text without looking. You could text long, long sweet things to the biddies. You know, like, hey baby, I noticed you in AP English today. I didn't say anything like that. I'm looking at the keyword now. I still remember home and gone. Yes. That was a common mix up. So it didn't know.
Starting point is 00:59:26 It couldn't like, it could see context of your sentence. It just knew like most common words. I think home and gone. There was something with, was it give or something. There were a couple others like that where it's like, and got where those would those be the same or something. No, G H I. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:59:43 Yeah. There are a few T nine ones where like, I'm gonna have to let it know. What I and got where those would those be the same or something. Oh, GHI Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, there are a few t9 ones We're like, I'm gonna have to let it know you're what I want here But for the most part, it was really nice. It was great And even even the ones he didn't know he'd be like he probably met home. What about tech nine? Were you out with him? Oh took no Never loved him never hated him. That's just pretty I I mean, I like the three songs I know by him. I don't think he's a great rapper,
Starting point is 01:00:08 but he's from Kansas City, so therefore it's like cool. We love him. Yeah. Those are all I got. I got Sleeping In Until Noon. Even Sleeping In In General. Man, that was the best. Yes.
Starting point is 01:00:19 How would they do it anymore? Could you? Oh, yeah, I bet I could. I wonder if it'll ever change. But like right now I still could easily sleep for 15 hours. Yeah. You know, like no problem. Yeah, that'd be no problem. Playing in Iraq basketball league. Used to love it. Used to. Daily soda. I didn't think twice. And I'm just filling up that QT Dr. Pepper. Every time I'm a Chick-fil-A Dr. Pepper. every time of a Chick-fil-a. Dr. Pepper
Starting point is 01:00:46 Absolutely twice a day. Dr. Pepper. It was great. Yeah memorizing baseball players batting stances Yeah, and that goes for any like childhood obsession like knowing the the Yankees backups Yeah, knowing the KU basketball players free throw routine, right? I mean just obsessing over all these things knowing the the face mask of Blake Bortles, whatever. Yeah, yeah. Knowing what kind of headbands the Clippers players wore. Yeah, accessories and home versus away games
Starting point is 01:01:14 versus alternate jerseys. Oh yeah. Yeah, knowing about alternate jerseys at good times. Used to love that. The batting stance one was, that was like a game that Scott and I would play with each other. All right, guess.
Starting point is 01:01:24 Who am I? Or it had to be like, you already did Gary Sheffield this inning, you can't do Gary Sheffield. No, it's not Gary Sheffield, pay attention. It's Barry Bonds. They have similar ones. Okay, fine, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Yeah, the bat doesn't swing as much in that one. That's fine. Yeah. Sam Selsa was a good one. Jim Edmonds? No, no, no, look at my shoulders. Look at my shoulders. Griffin.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Ah, yeah. Give me some more. What about this one? We're sitting down without bats in our hands. All right, you got to kind of imagine what I'm doing with my feet. Oh, wait, wait, wait. This is familiar. That's a... Is that No Mark, No Seahapara? Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, all right. I actually need the... You need to kind of see the bat angle for this one.
Starting point is 01:02:04 Okay. Oh yeah. Chuckie K. Chuck Knoblock. Chuckie K. We had a, we had a, we had a character back at camp called Chuckie K. It was like a retired Chuck Knoblock, like washed up Chuck Knoblock. I'm Chuckie K.
Starting point is 01:02:17 It's got like Santo Mac. What else? Oh, this one right here. There's that. Oh, this one right here. There's that. Oh, Sammy. So, yeah, a little bit of Sammy. All right. All right. All right. Oh, remember who is squat down like this? Oh, you're squatting down. Squatting down.
Starting point is 01:02:41 Yeah. Well, yes, Jeff Bagwell. Well, oh, all right. What was that guy's name? Craig Council? Yes. What about this one? Timon, you're loving this. I am. What about this one? This one is, here's the plate. Here's the pitcher. Ichiro Suzuki? No, that's more of this. And then you would do that. I don't think I know that. I think it was Tony Batista, maybe? Oh, I didn't have that one in the bank. I think he would like stare at the pitcher and then bring it back.
Starting point is 01:03:11 That's good. Yeah, Barry Bonds was like a nice little like boom. He would kind of jab it a little bit. Sheffield really cocked the wrist. Yeah, you had to have a light bat for the Sheffield one. All right, we got a little movement in the left foot. And lol. Oh, oh, the left foot and lol. Oh
Starting point is 01:03:26 oh The left the hands thing. Yeah, they're like spinning a kind of oscillating bat little movement in the left foot from memory I mean, maybe I'm wrong here. Is that Jeter? I think it's Jeter. Okay Yeah, Jeter. Yeah, Jeter had a cool one. Yeah, he looked pretty he look he's about to hit the ball hard. It's a gazelle That's good, man. I'm sure we could think of other ones. I can't think of off the top of my head right now, but that's good, that's good audio content. Yeah. Well, hey.
Starting point is 01:03:53 Hey, we're on video though. Spotify guys, yeah, shout out. I meant to tell you when we were watching the Chiefs game last week. That's awesome. Yeah, I had been like looking into this for months and it's so confusing. And then someone emailed me and I was like, yeah,
Starting point is 01:04:03 we'd love to. And then I just didn't hear anything for three weeks. And then like, I don't know, a couple of days before we posted it on the website we uploaded, Tyman just noticed like, hey, it says we've been accepted to some program. Sweet.
Starting point is 01:04:15 Cool. We're in. We did it. So if you listen on Apple podcast, if you still want to like mainly listen to it, but have access to the video, you should listen on Spotify because our video is on Spotify now.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Yeah. So cool. And people have asked like, well, which one makes you more money? No clue. No idea. At this point, you know, it's kind of one of those things like major roasters, good ranchers, the Gulf shores trip. That's how we make our money.
Starting point is 01:04:38 I mean, yeah, we make a little bit off those like non-host read ads, but yeah, it's all good. It's a piece of the pie, but it's more like dessert. Yeah, which I'm not having right now. So I get it all. Brad gets it right. So listen to the ads. I have wondered, like, sometimes I'll be listening back,
Starting point is 01:04:56 you know, the episode and yeah, there's some ads that are just like, they're not even saying like there's nothing in them that are like, so use our promo code or go here. It's just awareness. And so I'm just like, okay, so all they all they know is if people are listening to those or not. I'm not saying you have to listen to them by any means, do whatever you want. But I'm just saying, like, it seems like all we have to do to continue to get those kind of ads are just people listening to them. Yeah. You know, so Main Street Roasters.
Starting point is 01:05:23 I set it on my Main Street Roasters. I set it on my Main Street Coasters. I don't think you should drink Main Street Roasters if you're going on roller coasters. If you're having a little trouble waking up, buy a Main Street Roasters K-Cup. Oh, good. That's a next level. Main Street Roasters coffee goes well with bread after being heated in your toasters. If you're feeling blue,
Starting point is 01:06:04 have a brew. Oh yeah. Trying to get lean. Did you know that there's zero calories in mainstream rosewater beans? No. Zero calories, black coffee. Didn't know that. If you are American or not, give it a try and make it hot. Let's not get, let's not get political here. Let's not get political here. I don't care if you take a knee. Just make sure you support that family-owned business from napping knee. If you're different, fat mass, or maybe even a lez, come on by to Main Street Roasters! You don't need a rez. Oh, okay. I've stopped the part where I plan them out ahead of time. In my head, I just start a
Starting point is 01:07:13 sentence. Oh, that's fine. Okay, I'll try that. Okay. Hey, I don't care if you have a leaky roof or a dripping faucet. Should have thought about it before. You can go ahead and take- It's as hot as fair a faucet. No. That's the same word anyway.
Starting point is 01:07:33 You can go and take the crud from the grocery store, pick it up and toss it. MaestroOcean.com, it's GRKC. For 10% off, the best coffee in the world. The most supportive coffee sponsor we've ever had. It's maestro.com. Get them. I have one kind of last order will mention, but then I took it off my list because like, no, that's actually not true.
Starting point is 01:07:57 I wrote down the mall and then I was like, I still kind of like the mall like a Chinese like teriyaki like the mall. Like a Chinese, like teriyaki, like chicken there, like Pan Pacific Grill. Yes. That's one of those things where it's like, I love it, but is the mall still really around? Like we have a really good mall in Kansas City, but I feel like that's pretty rare.
Starting point is 01:08:20 Yeah, I think teenagers are kind of loving Oak Park Mall, I've heard. Oh, okay. I haven't seen it in my eyes. Saw some on Twitter. Okay Oak Park Mall. I've heard. Okay. I haven't seen him. I saw something on Twitter Okay, that it's doing all right. Okay. I don't know timing you've been yeah Yeah, case in point your honor omissions. I got drawing painting Still like to draw just barely ever do it Collins key the youtuber okay, YouTuber, he would do these like pancake art challenges and I
Starting point is 01:08:49 would just eat them up. I was like 12 and I was like, this is awesome. He would just like pour like pour. Yeah. I'd be like him and his brother and he was bad at art, but his brother was good. And so then they would just like try to, you try to like draw out in different colors of like pancake batter. Okay. And then you flip it over and reveal, Oh, it's like this good or whatever. I just loved them. That's great. A hoverboard, hoverboarding.
Starting point is 01:09:11 Oh, that's good. I'd still love it if I had one. I just haven't hoverboarded for a long time. Did your family have a couple? Yeah. I feel like surely through a couple. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:21 They were great. A stop motion animating. I was obsessed with like just making little stop motion animations along What's stop motion versus claymation? Claymation is stop motion. Yeah, but stop motion is not necessarily claymation like it's like just not many little pictures of you move something and yeah Along that same line flipbook making I would make like oh, yeah, you got some of those in your YouTube still don't you? Yeah, yeah, and then two more the big hero six soundtrack. Oh, yeah more So just like randomly listening to it all the time
Starting point is 01:09:52 I just like listen through the instrumental and then the book series keeper of the lost cities Keeper lost cities obsessed. I was so invested Yeah, what's it about? This girl who like is raised by humans and realizes she's an elf. But elves and humans are kind of similar, but elves are more, I guess, like, ideal or perfect kind of. Oh. They're like, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:10:16 It's like the opposite of elf. I guess so. OK. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, great series, because I loved it. I mean, I'm assuming it's still good, but I was obsessed. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, great series because I loved it. I mean, I'm assuming it's still good, but I just I was obsessed. Yeah. The big hero six motion soundtrack, original motion
Starting point is 01:10:32 picture soundtrack has one fallout boy song and then just a lot of other. Yeah. Instrumental. That was that was what I yeah. Henry Jackman. Henry Jackman. What fallout boy song immortals don't know It's a pretty good song not for me. Yeah Cool. I like that good good s'mores guys. Yes know who why do you bread good s'mores? Thanks guys? Just you know trying our best here That's fun. Yeah, absolutely. What else is there to say? Not much man I Think you mentioned it cameras this episode last episode timing What else is there to say? Not much, man. I think you mentioned it.
Starting point is 01:11:06 I can't remember if it was this episode or last episode, Timon. Trey's special. I have not watched. I lost my access to Hulu because they crack down on sharing accounts. But I will say a shout out to Trey. I listened to his feature on John Chris podcast net positive. I thought it was so funny and so good. Really?
Starting point is 01:11:29 I listened to some of that too and I loved what I highly recommend. I think they have, they're, they're awesome. Like together. I think they're just really funny. Like I think John's pretty funny on his own. I'm not a huge like raving fan of John, but together I think that he brings out, Trey brings out a good side of John and whatever. It was just, it was great.
Starting point is 01:11:44 I mean, they were making fun of each other on different things. They were talking about Trey's wedding. And like, was that this episode? I don't know. Cause then once I listed that one, apparently like he did another one with Trey a while back. So I listed both of them. But they were like talking about how like people like had to take a bus to his wedding. Oh yeah. Well that's where Megan lost her purse purse. Yeah, I know. They mentioned you in it and everything. Yeah, you got a little bit of a, like, they talked about you for like three, four minutes. I need to go listen.
Starting point is 01:12:10 Yeah, so anyway, I recommend it. Yeah, I don't know. I just wrote it down. I was trying to write down something every single day this week, because I was like, I don't want to not have anything to write down. And one of the days, I was like, I just really enjoyed that. So wrote it down.
Starting point is 01:12:24 Shout out. Net positive. Speaking days I was like, I just really enjoyed that. So wrote them shout out that positive speaking of podcasts, Jake, I listened to correct opinions like yesterday's and you mentioned like the comment on Nate land of like everyone wanting you to be on. Yeah. Have you seen the post in like Ghost Runners Facebook group of like, I think it was like someone was like, I just commented this on like the podcast you guys should go like like if you If you like agree or something like that. I think that was what happened. Okay. I didn't know that happened that makes more sense Yeah, that's funny though. It is fun though because it does it does look like if anyone didn't know it's like this guy just
Starting point is 01:12:57 Asked everyone to do this Guys, I want to be on a break. I think I'll tell you tell them good tell them. Yeah. No, I appreciate the ghost He's that's very nice of you. Yeah, I just clicked on there. I was like, whoa, I'm the top comment. Whoa, by far. It was like 50 replies to this. It had like 100 something up votes on like a, you know,
Starting point is 01:13:14 10,000 views at that point or something. Yeah, you go to like Jake Triplett's story on Instagram and you can see like, hey guys, please go comment. Today's the day I've been telling you about. I need you, Jake Army. That's... Jake Army. Yeah. Oh, I have a little improvised section,
Starting point is 01:13:34 section, segment. I did this with my friends last week. I think it's safe to say ghosties out there are not all rooting for the chiefs. Is that fair? That's fair. I did this thing with my friends this past week where I gave them all a reason why they should slash had
Starting point is 01:13:53 to be rooting for the chiefs. Okay. Okay. And you want me to give the opposite? Nope. Okay. I want to go on our YouTube or yeah, let's go to YouTube to one of our episodes and look at some of the comments of people and we'll just shout them out and tell them
Starting point is 01:14:05 why they need to listen to the Chiefs. So for example. Chloe Jarvis. Excuse me. I don't understand. Yes. So that's why you give an example, Jake, okay? For example, my friend Alan Tigner has a wife named Kara,
Starting point is 01:14:20 a son named Cal with a C. I was like, Alan, your wife's name starts with a K and your son's name starts with a C. Therefore you have to root for the chiefs because it's KC. My friend Bart coaches for the Branson football team. Branson is red. I was like, Bart, you are a fan of Branson. Branson is red. You also have to be a fan of the chiefs because the chiefs are red. My friend, Jeff, this one was kind of fun. He is a lawyer. His dad's a lawyer. He's a Christian. I said, Jeff, our owner is also a Christian who comes from a wealthy family. So you have to look for the chiefs. One of my buddies, shout out, Skolls,
Starting point is 01:14:57 Chris Skolls. He had like some issue for a while where he couldn't drive like something with his eyes. And so I said, one of our receivers also was not allowed to drive for a while on the highway. So therefore, you know, to commiserate with him, you have to root for the Chiefs. So things like that. That's good. So Chloe Jarvis. That's a tough one to start with, but we can start. Yeah, I should have waited for the example. Chloe Jarvis, CJ, same initials as our best defensive player Chris Jones reason there for you have to roof the Chiefs Yes, Robin Kim last week said Brad looks different each episode lately amazing Robin if you want to see it bad he stances this if you want to see a team Look different every game, but amazing roof of the Chiefs. the Chiefs. How are they gonna win?
Starting point is 01:15:45 It's gonna be so crazy at the end. Becca Fields, 79-02. Where do the Chiefs play more than any other team? Because they played the whole season and plus the Super Bowl on a field. If you're a fan of Fields, which sounds like you are, you put it in your name, then you should cheer for the team that loves Fields more than the other team.
Starting point is 01:16:05 And that's the Kansas State Chiefs. I got one. Becca Flaming. I'm a Flamer for good football. That's good. And you should be too, Becca. Brittany9414. Your name's Brittany.
Starting point is 01:16:21 Patrick Mahomes wife's name is Brittany. I'm not positive it's a different person, but either way, Brittany's have to stand together these days. I know you guys have gotten under a lot of scrutiny with the Spears thing, but stand together with other Brittany's root for the chiefs. Coming up dry here. Jack dumbler. It'd be dumb for you not to live. All right. Nina Nazi. Go ahead and use that one. Nina Nazi. Obviously you've probably been on Twitter and you know who's
Starting point is 01:16:57 in charge of that. And that's why you changed your last name to what you did. The chiefs have players of all kinds. I think you'd like that route for the chiefs. Brittany gracious. Patrick Mahomes, his wife is also named Brittany. Brittany's these days are under a lot of scrutiny. Couple of Brittany's in there. Stick together more than ever. Also, other ghosties named Brittany are rooting for the chiefs. Therefore you should root for the chiefs. So those are a few of them. This one's going be a crazy one Okay, Brendan Jordan said not a fan of the shark tail slander by Catherine Timon remind me what the main character's name in shark tail is Sawyer and
Starting point is 01:17:35 Who who was his love interest in that movie? hazel What color eyes are drew tranquil's drewil is known for his hazel eyes. Hazel eyes. That's why he comes out to Kelly Clarkson every single time. Yep. I told you that one was crazy.
Starting point is 01:17:50 Yep. So Brendan Jordan, consider cheering for the Chiefs. Consider it. Love Sharktail. Were those real time or are you just giving me fake names? Those are from Dolphin Tail. Dolphin Tail. Sounds good enough.
Starting point is 01:18:02 Good enough for me. Thanks. So anyway, if we haven't included you, but you need some motivation of why we should cheer for the Chiefs, comment your name and a little bit about you in the next episode. We'll give you reasons. We'll say this is why. So just know that you should be rooting for the Chiefs. They are a wonderful franchise with great players and it's fun to root for the team that is obviously definitely
Starting point is 01:18:26 Clearly going to win scripted. It's rigged put a bunch of money down on it You know, I'm going to Yeah While reading comments, I do have my comment of the week. Do you want to do that? Yeah, I love this one by Trist 961 Freaking good episode the only escape room. I've ever been to was a trailer in a parking lot on a blind date I mean that right there alone is a great sense. Oh what a trailer park It was a trailer in a parking lot on a blind date
Starting point is 01:18:59 Just like a detached room the door kept swinging open. So we thought we solved it Turns out the lock was broke. So the worker kept having to come out and manually lock the door. I've never gone to another one. Never got another date. Yeah. You'll get there. I'm going to go. I'm going to go with the Spotify comment of the week here Here we go. Spotify, uh, Joey, you think it's Badinger, Battinger, um, but Dinger, uh, but Dinger, Joey Badinger said, I have never identified more with Jake and Brad than when they started talking about how their wives handle socks. I felt, I was like, I told Catherine immediately when I read that I was like, Catherine, I talked about your sock thing and I felt so validated by this guy, Mr. Badinga. So shout out Joey
Starting point is 01:19:46 Timon you got any I was looking I'm sorry. That's okay. I like them all though. I read them all so what about a win? You got a win a win. Oh Yeah, yeah the sound of music cast list finally came out so just fun to see Like whoever went else got because I only knew like myself and my siblings. So yeah Like who everyone else got because I only knew like myself and my siblings. So yeah. You're in it. Yes, I am. What's that?
Starting point is 01:20:07 Devin Henderson. He is Uncle Max. He's like a pretty like big role in it. So Devin's a man. That's so great. So I'm at the night. Yeah. Very cool.
Starting point is 01:20:15 What was I going to say? What's the name of your character again? Friedrich. And then you said siblings. Yes. Alice and Jesse are both in it. Cool. Quick.
Starting point is 01:20:23 Pull up the. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. What was I gonna say? What's the name of your character again? Friedrich and then you said siblings Yes, Alice and Jesse are both in it cool quick pull up the Yeah, so Alice is None, I think and then Jesse is Baron Elberfield Very cool pretty name pretty name pretty guy. I my win of the week, but my win of the week is actually when the when KU lost, but I had the most fun ever. Yeah, my dad, it was so much fun. So when the week is just getting that quality time and quality memory with him was just
Starting point is 01:20:58 awesome. So it was, yeah, it was a weird like end of the night, obviously, like, dang, that was kind of a bummer. But also like, it will not be it will not go down as a bum like end of the night. Obviously I'm like, dang, that was kind of a bummer. But also like It will not be it will not go down as a bummer in my history book. You know, I mean, yeah Yeah, really? My one of the week is going to be my baby the week as well I I told this to Rachel as well, but it was all just gonna say it here just
Starting point is 01:21:22 something hit me other day and I was like, wow, Rachel is so supportive of like anything I do, not even just like hobbies. Cause I think like when I used to be really into golf, I think I had the only wife in the world being like, why aren't you golfing more? It was like we were making a sketch of like the perfect golf life that was Rachel. It makes hard to make relatable content that way.
Starting point is 01:21:41 She's like, it's nice out, what are you doing here? Go golf. Maybe she just loves time to herself. But she's always just, go golf, it's nice out. What are you doing here? Go golf. Maybe she just loves time to herself. But she's always just like, no, it's nice out. Text your friend, go play golf, go play pickleball. She's doing that now. Or just any like little kick I have or hobby or diet or anything.
Starting point is 01:21:56 She's just like all in on it. And it's like, I think I got a little used to it and it hit me where he sounds like, it's so easy to be into anything. Cause I know I can like lean on Rachel for like, Hey, can you, what's the difference in this and this? Like what is, what is P protein? You know, she just knows about stuff and she's happy to help
Starting point is 01:22:13 with all this stuff. She doesn't know. She'll probably figure it out. Yeah. So it just, just great. Just great support system. That's you. Like, cause can you, can you imagine if she was like, I don't really know. Like, I don't know if like you're going to be working out a lot.
Starting point is 01:22:28 And then, yeah, we're going to see each other enough. And like, how are you playing pickleball like on weeknights? Yeah. Oh, can you what if all of a sudden then you're just tiptoeing around every time? Like, do you mind maybe like one time I do it? You know, like it's yeah, it's huge. Yeah. Spouse support is huge, just in general. Yes, every time I ask her to be in a video, yeah, what do you need?
Starting point is 01:22:49 You know? It's awesome. She's gonna be coming out tomorrow when we're recording this. Rachel and Molly's big tournament win. Editing them, trying to figure out how to, how to paint, I remember Thunder and Lightning, the girls who like called the ball out and they were kind of interesting, so. Trying to figure out how to edit to paint remember thunder and lightning the girls who like called, you know The ball out and they were kind of interesting. So try to figure out how to edit them. Okay in a respectful way still
Starting point is 01:23:10 That's fair That's awesome. Yeah, that's that and That's the so that's that's been a so that Was an episode? I Just yeah, it's so I was walking over here today and I was like, it's crazy that we've done this for however long, five years or whatever.
Starting point is 01:23:30 It's just every week we're just doing this. No matter what. It's just wild. It's just like, here we are again, just going for it. Like every, it's just so cool. I don't know. I was thinking about like you and your goals of like fitness and mile own stuff and like,
Starting point is 01:23:46 I was like, yeah, of course he can do that. He's like, we've been so consistent with this podcast thing and I don't think it's because of me. Like I guarantee you if you were like, hey man, I don't know if I can do it this week. I bet I'll just be like, no problem dude. Yeah, that's fine. You know like, but we've just been so consistent with it.
Starting point is 01:24:02 It's awesome. So, just think for it. It is fun. They're good habits to build. I tell everyone that if they're like, because people come to me pretty often like, Hey, I'm wanting to start like a fitness kind of Instagram. Hey, I want to do like a mom TikTok thing
Starting point is 01:24:14 or even my own podcasts. It's like dedicate yourself to do it on a regular basis. Because that's the hardest part. But then once you get a rhythm of doing that, it's hard to stop. And that's how you build loyalty. It's how you build trust, how you build to stop. And that's how you build loyalty. It's how you build trust, how you build a following.
Starting point is 01:24:26 And then you owe it to them, then you can't let them down. Yeah, yeah. Like you can't not post to Spotify right away. Like, post to. And then sleep in. That was something that was weird with Megaphone though. I was very confused. Cause I went, yeah, we can talk about it. It was weird. because I went yeah it was weird I just changing
Starting point is 01:24:47 it up keep them guessing yeah yeah go to YouTube yeah yeah yeah thanks for listening thanks to you all for being consistent as well every Monday and every Wednesday All right. We love you guys. We'll see you Monday go chiefs fresh after the Super Bowl What do you think predictions just real quick real quick? I'm gonna guess you think you think we're gonna win. I'm gonna go chiefs when There's all the stats out there the chiefs have never like last so many games never had a hundred yard rusher We've always shut down like McCaffrey in the Super Bowl. Unstoppable force, immovable object. Who's gonna win?
Starting point is 01:25:29 Saquon of Chiefs defense. I don't know. I think Saquon still in sports terms gets his. I don't know. I mean, a hundred yards is a lot, but I think he'll get close if not over it. But I still think we, total offense for the Eagles under 250 yards. Wow, really?
Starting point is 01:25:50 I think so. Yeah, and we shut them down pretty well. 24, 19. Fun score. Yeah, I don't even know how they're gonna get those scores. Figure it out. Sean McDermott, if he was coaching, he'd find a way. He'd take some points off the board.
Starting point is 01:26:05 Yeah, I think it's got to be really close I think it's got to come down to like a team making a play at the very end like most like good playoff game So I think it'd be one of those and chiefs would probably squeak it out, you know 28 24. Okay. Love it. You gotta guess. Nope I think chiefs a good win though. Alright. Oh, he's a no and guy. No and?
Starting point is 01:26:28 No and. Yeah. Always addict. Alright, wonderful. Thanks guys. Say the thing. Sayonara and ciao. Yeah, we made it, yeah, we made it Decided not to fake it, and not to be the same shit
Starting point is 01:26:51 From the bottom of the basement all the way up to the highest elevation Oh, yeah, this is history in the making
