Check check. Hey, ghosties and hello.
Oh, I thought I saw him.
Uh, yeah, I'm not, I'm not quite back yet.
Yeah, I'm not.
Will Timon come back, Jake?
People are curious if he's gone forever.
Uh, I don't think he's gone.
I think he's alive.
I think he's coming back.
He has not sent any indication that he's not going to be back.
I will say this.
I texted him two days ago, have not received a response.
So he's too good for him.
us maybe now.
Ooh.
Tell me if this is a good idea.
Ghosties out there.
Maybe this is a ghosty
thing.
It doesn't have to be timing.
It's not time about the only one that could sing here.
I had the idea.
You know how Timon did that force, Frank,
like improvvert.
Yeah, open verse or whatever.
I had the idea of basically
recording my guitar,
doing some like
music ads for the podcast,
and then having like an open spot where I had time and put his thing in there.
That's fun.
I was like,
Timon,
how busy are you right now?
Could you do this by Thursday?
And he did not respond.
So it sounds like the answer is pretty busy.
There's right.
He's out there.
I could do it at some point.
But anyway.
I like that idea of like,
yeah,
it's an open verse challenge for any ghosty.
Hop on in.
Why not?
That's a fun idea.
So we'll think about it.
But sorry about the technical difficult.
these last, last episode.
Hopefully we got it under control here.
Let me know if there's any issues.
But I don't know.
The internet.
TJ talked about this on his podcast,
Walk in Love.
Does it feel like the internet's kind of getting slower,
just in general?
I resonated with that when he said that.
I was like, dude, I never had issues with the internet.
Now all of a sudden, every once while, I'm like,
what's going on?
Why is it going slow?
You feel like, just set up internet here.
And, you know, Kansas City has had Google.
Google fiber forever. They were like the second city ever to get Google fiber. It's been amazing.
Like we had fiber optic before a lot of major cities did. So it's great.
I'm down here, Google fiber. They don't serve Gilbert, Arizona. Like, man, I really like Google
fiber. That's too bad. All right, what are the options? They go, for fiber optic, for like good
internet, you can only have one option. That's not good. They got no one to compete with, right?
And it's just Cox internet. It's like, I guess I got to do that. So I get it plugged in,
get it all working yesterday. And then I'm like, all right,
speed test. Let's see what we got. And it said, uh, my download speed was like 1.2 gigabytes per second.
My, my speed test literally said, high score. I was like for like the world. Like,
maybe it is. I've never seen it go to four digits because it was like 1,200 megabytes per second.
Wow. It's unbelievable. So I'm sorry to kind of, um, dunk on your take there, T.J.
But Cox, Internet. Gilbert's doing great.
It feels, well, I'd be curious.
I'd be curious if you go back just randomly.
It feels like it just like they crank it up, crank it down kind of thing.
Little throttle.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It feels like maybe, I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know what the conspiracy is behind.
There's probably some conspiracy out there.
Data centers is a big thing these days.
Maybe they're just taking all the internet.
Water.
Water is big.
I know they create a humming sound.
Kim Trails, I think.
Kim Trails.
Might have something to do with it.
Here's a question for you.
Okay.
When did you learn what a compact car is?
Mm-hmm.
When did everyone learn this?
I miss this.
Do you remember that on the opposite?
In the compact spot.
Yep.
100%.
That's where I learned it.
Plenty of room in the parking lot.
But the little cars go in the compact spot.
Spot.
Spot.
Spot.
Oh, uh-oh, ooh, I think this tight beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts
And white meat too.
Midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat.
So come along.
Let's have some fun and go ahead.
Get on your feet because it's a ghost from the podcast.
Did you not know until right now?
Well, I guess I think I still don't really know.
I bet I did learn a little bit from the office.
And also the word compact, it makes me think small.
Good.
But I don't know what deserves.
So basically, like, you go to a coffee shop or whatever,
and it says compact only.
And I think I'm that.
I'm a sedan.
I'm a four-door sedan.
It's a bigger sedan.
Is it compact?
Like, is it tiny?
Is it, like, it has to be like a,
what are those called?
Yeah, who's defined?
No, I think yours is compact.
That's what I'm saying.
I don't know if America really is up to snuff on their education
what a compact car is,
because I'm seeing a lot of different cars parked in the compact spots.
I think it's up to you.
From my thought is like,
if you're comfortable parking there and not worrying about your car getting dinged,
because it's a tighter space usually, right?
That's why you have to, like,
that's why they have those spots.
Is that honestly why?
I think.
Like narrower or shorter?
Oh, I was thinking narrower, probably.
Like, hey, we got, you know,
we got a little bit of a small,
because I bet they are they, was it on the side, like on the end of the parking lot?
Where was I for this?
I don't know.
I feel like McLean's though.
They started doing that now that they have street parking kind of, compact only over there.
Yeah.
And maybe that's more width.
I don't know, man.
I think if you have a family with three kids and someone says that's your main car for your family of three kids,
and they're questioning a little bit, that means that you have a compact car.
That makes sense?
Like if it's like,
well,
you have a family of five
and you drive that car
with a little of the eyebrows raised like that.
A mom gets out
with three kids and you go,
are you driving your husband's car today?
No, this is my car.
Oh.
Oh, yeah, you got big eyebrows.
Big eyebrows means you got a compact car.
Oh, that was a,
that is a compact spot.
By all means,
take the spot.
Sorry.
Big eyes,
small car,
compact.
Yeah.
What's on your mind?
Oh, that.
But beyond that,
Um, let's see.
Let me,
let me look in here.
Um, dude,
this week,
I,
I went down some water slides at the lifetime pool with my kids.
Yeah.
I got,
I'm embarrassed by how rocked I got by these water slides,
dude.
Like,
I got done.
I probably did.
And to be fair,
let me,
let me paint the picture here.
There's two water slides on the,
at lifetime.
There's the,
we call it the dark slide.
And,
careful Jake.
the dark side and the other side.
One of them is like enclosed.
You know, it's, you just, yeah, you can't see until the very end.
It's faster.
It's slower.
It's shorter.
A little bit scarier for the kids.
And so it was always daggers on the dark side.
I'll go on the other side.
We race.
And so Bowen had he kept like, I would race one of them.
And then I would march up to the top of this thing.
And then they were waiting for me.
So I was racing over and over again.
So I probably went 10 times.
17 minutes.
I don't know.
Something like that.
But every single time, dude,
I was racing a wind.
And so I was trying to go as fast as I could.
I got, like, when I hit that water,
like water went up my nose every single time.
And I was trying to figure out,
I'm not going to be the waning that plugged his nose.
I'm not a nose plugger.
I will never be a nose plugger.
Last one down to Rodn Egg.
Here we go.
I'm a lot of things.
People have called me piston head,
pitch head.
but never a nose plugger.
All right.
I've never been that guy.
So I got to the, I mean, eventually I had to say, and maybe I went more,
I don't know how many times I went, but I tried to go and try to be a fun dad.
But eventually I was like, I got to take a break.
At one point I yell at Catherine.
I was like, you want to switch me?
And because she's just sitting there with her book kind of just like watching Henry and
Rosie float around.
You want to switch me for a little bit?
She's like, no, I'm good.
I was like, okay.
But I get done, dude.
and I had to like, I had to like recover.
Like I had to like, like they have like one of those zero entry pools, you know.
I went, I was like a beached whale on the on the zero entry part of the pool.
I just like laid there flat on my back like in the water.
Just like close my eyes and was just like, I don't know what's going on with me.
It felt like I had ridden like I'm starting to get old basically.
Like the motion aspect like riding roller coasters every once in a while I feel it.
But I just got absolutely dominated.
by these very, very normal water slides, like, and just just got whooped.
Luckily, did never lose the race.
I'm not going to, you know, go that far with it.
But anyway, it was bad, dude.
You might have a lot of chlorine, like, in your brain.
That's what I'm saying.
Like, it felt like it was like, like, like, Catherine's like, are you just tired?
I was like, no, it's not like that.
It's like I'm like light, lightheaded or like, I don't know what's going on here.
It was, anyway, it did rock me.
so that's funny because yeah i was imagining like maybe that first sharp turn like that is what's
getting you're like the impact on the water is the worst part you think the nose i'll get i'll get
bumped and bruised all day that's fine like i'll i'll i'll feel that tomorrow morning but like
yeah dude is like and it was specifically the dark side the other side i did sometimes bow did want to go
on the dark side because he's a little bit more brave and uh but yeah man it was it was something to behold so
i feel like it could be pretty exhausting when you're like
your tubing or anything, you're wakeboarding and you fall off and you, you know, you crash and
you have to like, first of all, you hit the water hard and then you got to like swim over.
You got to recoup.
You got to get back on.
You know, you basically did that 15 times.
I'm like, hit the water hard.
Yeah.
Swim out.
Go back upstairs.
Yeah.
That's a workout.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was dead tired.
I think that might have been the day that I asked Catherine like, hey, do you mind, do you mind like if I just
sit here while and watch this Friday.
video while you give you kids that. I think that was the day because I was just like I am wiped I mean
between like just being out the pool the pool wipes all of us out anyway and then to try to like like
because not only that but I have I've taken the camp counselor role of like like at camp especially
our camp I don't know about middle school kids but our kids at when we worked at cana like like
six to 11 year old six to 12 year olds they just wanted to be wrestled in the pool all the time and
just like and once you throw one of them it's like all of a sudden you're a jungle gym for them and so
bow and had he just both just want me to borderline you know try to break their back every single time we're in
the pool like like they just want me to throw them in every way i could think of as high as i can
and just like and so it just yeah talk about a workout between that and the slides i was i was dead
it was it was over so it's got to be good for you though right
All that.
It's a, yeah, it's got to be.
I'm sleeping great.
So, anyway, just last night, I hit the cozy earth bed sheets.
And like, I even told Rachel, I said, today feels like a day that used to have a can of cook where you, I mean, you hit the bed and you're like, if I wouldn't want five more seconds, I would have, I would have fell asleep on the stairs.
Like my day's been so full.
I've done so much.
I've exerted so much.
Like, I want to plug my phone in.
Yeah, those are good.
I just want to go straight to sleep.
Those are good days, but you don't have them as much anymore.
At least I don't.
Yeah, it depends, man.
You go through season, like every once in a while, I think a couple weeks ago,
Catherine went and ran some errand and I woke up at like 11 o'clock, like in my bed,
just with my clothes on, just like, like, normal clothes.
Like, oh my gosh, I just fell asleep waiting for you to get home at 8, 20, you know,
just gone.
And just like, fell asleep hard enough to, like, not wake up in, you know, 20 minutes or something.
but yeah, fun times, man.
I just got a notification from Apple News Top Stories.
One of those notifications.
I don't remember signing up for this, but whatever.
Okay.
At 250, is the United States two divided to celebrate as one?
Get out of town with that.
You're going to read that?
Yeah.
Get out of town.
Especially if we win the freaking World Cup.
Stink it, Belgium.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Go out, walk around.
Go to the grocery store.
Go to a park.
Go to anywhere.
Two divided?
Get out of here.
We're all good.
We're all good, man.
We can't celebrate as one.
I'm not celebrating with that guy.
He doesn't live in my America.
What?
What else?
Okay.
Apple was really late to the game as far as text messaging.
Group texts.
It took them forever to be like, hey, what if we showed that Jake is texting back in the group text?
You know what I mean?
It took them way to.
Yeah, we're like replying to a specific message.
GroupMe was doing that four years ago.
What else?
Like, and then they do is Apple News?
Apple News, or is anybody like relying on Apple News for their news?
I don't know, maybe.
But like, what else is Apple like, hey, get it together with that.
You know what I mean?
I've never ventured into Apple News.
but they were pretty far behind Spotify there.
I think they felt like they had such a stranglehold with iTunes.
Like iTunes,
though people will come around, right?
Yeah.
Spotify's question.
Can't get a gift card to Spotify.
What about,
I mean,
just in general,
I feel like their AI is terrible.
Well,
I don't know.
I don't have like the newest phone.
But like the SIRI is like Siri.
It is terrible.
Yeah.
It's just like you never,
you can't ask that more than,
I ask it calculator questions.
That's pretty much.
I guess like,
it's as good as like Bo would be out of my phone.
I'd be like,
instead of timer.
Yeah,
what's 48 plus 96 plus 89 divided by two?
And then it messes that up sometimes too.
Yeah.
And then,
hey,
wake me up at 445,
you know,
something like that.
But I think Apple,
especially compared to like Samsung and Galaxy stuff,
they always get like Android phones.
Apple gets a bad rap because, like, dude,
Andrews have had this for years.
And then Apple comes out with it and now it's this big deal.
And I think Apple tries to reframe it.
I was like, we didn't want to just do it.
We wanted to get it right.
Yeah.
But it does feel like at a certain point,
you were pretty slow to do it.
I'm trying to think of what those examples were.
I think like Face ID or like some biometric stuff.
Like they might have had before.
They've obviously had the flip phone.
I think there's rumors that the flip phone is finally coming to like a foldable iPhone is coming.
Okay.
But they've had those for years and years too.
Yeah.
It just feels like the AI aspect of their stuff is, yeah, much worse.
Because Google surely has Gemini, right?
Like on their phone.
Oh, I see you're saying, like a Google phone.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Just a random thought I had.
I played in a golf tournament this past week.
And we got real close to winning it.
I thought you were guaranteed to win.
Yeah, we were.
And then one of the guys was as promised.
The other two guys were very good.
good we'll say that one of the guys was like holy cow this guy is this guy should have played in
college i don't he didn't because he went to k state right this guy's really good um yeah it's fun
i think we we shot 14 under as a team and the winner was 16 under so two two strokes away um
we had a pretty good time uh how'd you do you you would be proud of me i sank the first two putts for
our team and they were like 20 foot putts they were like out well like you're like long putts it was
like and it was like early enough in the day that I don't think everyone realized how bad I was yet
and so they weren't that excited about him they didn't fully appreciate it just my friend's like
let's go dude you know like you dabbing me up but the other guys were like good put man that's good
you know like these guys golf five days a week like yeah are you putting first in the scramble too
and you're just like nailing these butts uh I think both of those I was the
second one to put so somebody else had like tell me what it looked like yeah but still it was just
like that was crazy i made a put and it was like i just made two putts am i about to just like
be this guy for our team uh that was it though that was about all that i i told scott johns my buddy
after the um after the tournament got over i was like i'm glad i don't play golf more than i do
because if i did i would remember that i do not really like golf like i think like like every time
my play. I kind of have like this optimistic like, hey, it's going to be fun. This is going to be good.
And then about 11 holes into it. I'm like, how much longer are, do we have to do this?
And if I did that more than once every two or three months, I would, you know, I would remember.
I'd be smart enough to be like, why? No, I'm not going to play golf. I don't like golf. Like, I'm not,
I'm not good enough. That's so good. But the fact that I'm not playing very often, it's like,
you know what? Maybe we're going to have some good shots this time and it's just going to be
fun and every time.
And I don't know.
Scramble.
So it's Scramble the way Scramble works for people I don't know is like,
everyone on your team hits the ball and then you decide which person had the best shot
and then you hit your next ball from that shot.
And I played Scramble with some guys who are really,
really good.
And I think maybe that's worse than playing with guys that are bad because you never,
like,
like I had some decent shots,
but I don't even barely remember them because it,
A good drive down the fairway and then somebody else drove it, you know, 50 yards farther than I did.
And so I was like, okay, like even my best shot doesn't matter unless it's a putt.
You know what I mean?
That's a good point.
Like on one end, like, there's no pressure.
You've got great teammates.
They're going to bail you out.
You never, you know, you're hitting first.
Oh, I chunked it trying to get out of the bunker.
Hey, all good.
We got three good golfers after you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's like you get done.
Did I do anything?
Did I control?
Did they know I was there and they're like no no no you did because you hit it well so that we could really rip it dude like you hit a safe shot so that we could rip it dude and it's like I don't know about all that you know so anyway that's a good take I think like golfing with like just four terrible golfers scrambling that's going to be fun because you are going to like collectively have a blow up hole like while we all sucked the entire time but then you're going to have one where you randomly birdie you go even with four of us that's pretty unlikely that's that's pretty unlikely that's you're going to be like you're going to have one where you randomly birdie you go even with four of us that's pretty unlikely that's
That's pretty cool we birded this.
Yeah, right.
Like, you get so excited for a good shot versus like, yeah, I was expect.
Like, so many of these guys' shots, if I would have hit any of them, I would have been like, that's the best shot of my life.
And they'd be like, dang, pretty close.
Like, pretty close, dude.
Like, I don't know.
Yeah, they had some amazing stuff.
Yeah, a four-man scramble with good golfers.
They expect to birdie every hole.
And you like, you have to eagle every par five, you know.
And if you don't, I go, we love that one's.
We can't win, though.
We take our mulligan.
We just got a birdie.
I think we're fine, guys.
Anyway, so that was fun.
So this guy that's really good at golf, he went to K-State, and, you know, we're
kind of, you kind of play the K-State, like, name game or like, oh, you're in campus
ministry here.
Who'd you know here?
You know, is he still on staff?
You know, because this guy's younger than me.
But I didn't realize how much younger until this happened.
So he was like, so where did you live at K-State?
And I was like, I was a K-State farmhouse, dude.
I lived, you know, I was living in the frat house, bro.
joking, you know, and he was like, my man, and he was a farmhouse too. So we did the secret
farmhouse handshake. We said, wow. Open agriculture to each other. No, we don't really say that.
But, and then he basically played the farmhouse name game with me where he's like, did you know
this guy? Did you know the chickens? Did you know the bulls? What kind of thing? Did you know the horses?
And he goes, did you know Mark White or something like that? And I was like, no. He's like,
oh, that's the oldest guy I can think of in farmhouse. And I was like, oh,
God.
Like the guy that he could think of that's the oldest person he could think of is young enough
where I didn't even know this guy.
Like he wasn't even at K. State with me.
You know what I mean?
Did you know like George W. Bush?
Sorry.
I'm just trying to think of like who you would know.
I was like yeah.
Bush was like, because he like your little brother or something.
Maybe I was just like like.
And he said it so like innocent like kindly like didn't mean anything by it.
But I was like.
my gosh, you look at me like I'm an old man. And yeah, I look at you like you're kind of my peer,
maybe a little bit younger than me. You know what I mean? Like he's like, yeah, we have one kid and he's a
year old and, you know, she maybe, anyway, um, not decided yet. But, uh, I, yeah, I was like,
oh my gosh, you, you, you didn't, you didn't mean to, but you just made me feel very old, bro.
So it sometimes it could be a compliment. I feel like I've been in situations like,
hey, you worked at Can I? I was at Cana Cook. Yeah. Oh, that's so.
fun and I'm okay with just like leaving it there okay that was fun and they go what years were you there
and you know they're way younger than you so it's a compliment that they think we might have
overlaps they go wait when were you there and I just go nah no no mutual friends no no I just know
it's not close yeah we're not even we're not even kind of on the same page that's nice you to offer
but no it's a new haircut I but now I'm older speaking of Canna Cuck let me
so Michael Sloan texted me he was the one that I said last week oh yeah he yeah that how he did that he's like
I would like it what do you say I haven't used analogy since I was like 20 years old you'll be getting a cease and desist for my legal
and I said okay but true or false you maximize the all you can drink cup into oblivion and he just said dude
and then the next text I kept a note dot dot dot and here's a here's a note I might send this
to Coley. I'm just going to send this to you real quick because it's just funny.
But it's just one day, July 1st, 26, SDC, Cedarar City Drink Trecker.
He had a Mr. Pibb 429.
Icy, 489, Icy, 489, Icy, 489, Lemonade, 429, Pib, 429.
1, 2, 3, 4, 429, Pib, 4809, Pib, 489, Icy, 49.
So he had one, four, he had eight icey-oldy-1.
season one day, dude.
Does he have a family?
Yeah.
I don't know if he did at this point.
I guess at 20,
yeah, 2026 he did.
I mean, he's got one,
but I don't know if this little kid's eating a bunch of iceies.
Yeah.
I mean, whoever it is, it's, I mean,
400 grams of sugar has got to go around somehow.
Not amazing.
And he's like, like, yeah,
he's keeping a note because he is that
proud and he knows like how much he's
eating this.
So I was like, dude, can I share this in the podcast?
Dude, that's so funny.
This is my legacy at this point.
Yes.
So, anyway, so funny.
Here's a picture that I just got sent about 10 seconds ago.
Okay, okay.
Coley, you should also put this on screen too.
No context.
Just going to share this with you.
That's my guess.
Yes.
Okay.
Golly, Scott.
What do you want me to do with you, buddy?
How do you want me to respond?
He just said that's great.
What is the context here?
That is we're like those sleeves are part of our bundle that's coming out tomorrow.
So after is like, hey, can somebody take a picture with the sleeves?
Scott was like, how's this?
Gladly.
Oh, Scotty boy.
Did you get to watch Scott as a Cuban drug lord?
Yeah, that was great.
Yeah, it was so funny.
It was great how he did Spanglish.
Like he did a little bit of Spanish and then he was like, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Don't take the product until you, you know, whatever.
Like, you went back and forth.
I thought that was so funny.
It was like so good that it was like, it was so good that it was almost, it wasn't,
not that wasn't not funny, but it was like, I'm almost more in,
entertained than I am like laughing at this, if that makes sense.
And now that was kind of my thought.
When people were commenting like, this is so funny, I was like, oh, that's, that's a great.
benefit that i'm glad you think that way obviously it is supposed to be entertaining but
the teaser video is just was like let me introduce you this weird world we're in like here are the
characters the full videos coming friday oh yeah people loved it ghosties you guys are so nice and
just so just supportive and all the comments and everything but also i mean is izic and scott did
amazing yeah they were funny they're great the whole okay this is funny knowing isac and
being able to laugh about isaac iac's like freaking out like you know i don't know man i'm twerking
out or he didn't say twerking out what do he say i'm uh tweaking out dude and then he like checks
in the rear view and he's tweaking out was he actually tweaking out or was it just isaac
in his hands shaking because i think has the shakes a little bit you know like he does have the shakes
like if you could you can always tell what isac is the one filming something because it's like
just a little bit of a shake like on there slight shake i think you had to amp up the shakes a little bit
maybe only like 10% amperage right like adjust the mirror yeah he was
the right guy for that role. So good, dude. But yeah, he did great. It was kind of like at different
points. It was like, all right, this scene, I kind of feel like your badger from breaking
bat. Now I kind of feel like you're Jesse Pinkman from breaking bat. You know, at some point,
he was part of all the drug dealers. Oh, Brad has transformed. Do I look, do I like super cool,
super sweet, super oily? I feel like that sound is like when the main character goes in like a
a flashback or a dream state.
Okay.
What's that?
Yeah, you're in some sort of alternate universe where your hair is different and there's no more coffee.
No.
No.

feeling right now? Tired, sad, like I'll never taste the sweet, sweet beans and main street
your oysters ever again.
No.
Please, no. No.
Be like Brad. You guys have it
good. You guys have it lucky. You guys don't even realize.
You guys could taste the sweet, sweet beans
whenever you want. Yeah.
And I can't. Because I'm
feeling this way.
What do you look like right now?
You look like someone.
I don't know, man.
But I don't like the way I feel. I don't know
what I look like.
I know who you look like.
You look like the guy.
All right.
You've seen Get Out.
He's the one who is, who's blind.
Okay.
The photographer who's blind and get out.
Okay.
He looked like him.
I think he bite me in the movie.
Did he not get good beans?
I think he's,
is he the Stapler guy from office space?
Doesn't matter.
He had sweet, sweet beans.
And you can too.
Guy?
Maitreauau.
GR.K.C. Timbers.
Snap out of it.
You're back.
Whoa.
Dude, that was wild, man.
Oh, dude, you don't even know, bro.
We love you, Main Street.
Thanks for being a title sponsor, the best sponsor that we have.
You guys are awesome.
Mainstreamrocer.com, GRC, 10% off.
He was great.
She brought me out some meatballs, and I ate them.
They were in some of a lot of cheese sauce.
And now we got some, we got a little bit of a fly situation.
So please send someone to grab these.
this meatball dish.
We have some.
Also shout out to Nathan Coley.
I've given him so much work.
I just even told him like,
Cole, are you ready to work this week?
Because we're going to post every single day.
Also the YouTube video Friday,
all this stuff.
And he's crushing it.
Because we shot everything Sunday night.
This is kind of fun.
So we're like,
we're going to this parking garage.
Oh, this is great.
Isaac's driving his truck.
And me and Colie and Rachel are all sitting in there.
And trying to get this parking garage on Grand Canyon.
in university's campus and security guard stops him.
And Isaac's wearing his wife,
he's already in costume.
We're wearing the Bart Simpson shorts already.
Did you guys have permission to be here?
I was like, yeah.
He's like, do you have permission from?
And Isaac, like, we texted a guy.
And I mean, all three of us are just like mortified.
Just like, dude, shut up.
We'll just go to different parking garage.
And the guy's like, do you have proof?
And he's like, nah.
No, I deleted my text.
So he said,
I have permission.
He did say I deleted my text, but that's definitely what he was implying.
Like, no, a guy texted me.
Do you have proof?
Mm-mm.
No.
Well, yeah.
I don't have proof of that.
Yeah, not on my phone, but my phone's back home.
I got proof of other stuff.
And then the guy just like looks down on me and goes, baseball.
Like, which I guess assumed like Isaac's on the baseball team and they're just up to no good.
He does kind of like Isaac's like a baseball player.
I kind of like baseball.
Yeah, baseball is good.
I like baseball.
And then the guy who just gave him the silent treatment,
which is like, dude, just.
So we went somewhere else and got it.
But while we were shooting everything that night,
you know,
I'm kind of like directing this whole thing,
two different videos and a photo shoot all at once.
But then Peter's calling me too,
because the house,
the elate the house went on the market
and offers are coming in.
So it was great.
We got three offers.
The first or like,
I guess the second day.
One offer came in at 6 p.m.
and they're like,
we need to know by 11.
I was like, who are these people out here who work, who operate this way?
No, thank you.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm shooting a Cuban drug spoof right now.
It's a Cuban missile crisis right now.
Can't think about this.
Really, yeah.
I think that's kind of, I don't know, I can understand, I guess, why people do that.
But like, if it's the best offer, it'll stay the best offer.
And if not, then I understand going with somebody else.
Like, take your time.
So.
Yeah, I guess there's probably some, yeah.
There's some benefit to it, but I don't like the pressure.
Hey, I want you to feel good about it.
I don't think about it.
Yeah, like a half a million dollars, but I need to know right now.
Think about it.
It's like, well, I think this is a big decision that I might need to think twice about.
Yeah.
How would you feel if I did the same thing to you?
Like, anyway.
Yeah, Buster.
How about that?
Anyway.
What's going on?
Yeah, we accepted one of the offers.
We are under where you see now.
You guys say that in the business?
You see?
Yep.
Thank you.
So.
Love you.
She's like very concerned.
Doesn't want to be on camera in her, you know, blue shirt, blue shorts, you know, can't, can't do that.
That's not what she told me.
I don't know.
I don't know why she's worried about it.
That's huge though.
That's got to feel good.
Yeah, it is a relief.
That's a blessing.
So hopefully it all goes smooth.
But as of now, under con.
You're going to have a lot of money in your bank account after selling two houses.
That's crazy.
it is kind of fun yeah selling two and not buying another one right yeah so it's why you go with cam
that's right i love that dude um all right i'm gonna text our schmores celebrity schmors it's kind of fun
when you don't know them it is also you might want to reboot something on your end or maybe
switch from the camera to the oh see right on cue papa's device is struggling it's been pretty
rough. I've powered through the ghosties you won't be able to hear what we're hearing but it's kind of
struggling. Oh, here we go. Oh, yeah. Oh, fun. Madison, McCalla in the flesh. Macalla,
Macalla, McCalla. McCalla. Okay, very good. Macalah. Yeah, just like that. Okay. And it says on here
Maddie. So you go by Maddie? I go by both. Madison's my formal name when I'm in trouble.
but Maddie is less formal.
So whatever, I answer to both.
What about like Madison McCalla, Mad Max?
That's fine.
That's fine.
That works for me.
All right, Mad Max.
I love it.
Thank you for coming on the podcast.
Yeah.
Thanks for having me.
We're doing a summer of celebrity schmores and who else is a more celebratorial
smores person than the person who does all the polls for the smores.
Well, thank you. It's so fun. I get to lean in. Yeah, I work in communication. So getting to do social media for anything, it's just fun.
Heck yeah. Awesome. Tell us a little bit. You're a Kansas girl, at least right now. Are you born and raised here?
Yeah, born and raised in Valley Center, Kansas. So it's just north of Wichita, just a smaller town. My husband's from here, too. So the house that we live in is actually one block from his childhood home, which is.
really fun. His parents don't live there anymore. They live in Oklahoma. But we didn't, we went to high
school together, but we didn't meet. He thought I was too much of a no-it-all. So we-
Madison. I know. Yeah. I was too much of a teacher's pet for his liking. So we ended up
meeting in college and then got married a few years later. We've been, how many years?
Married for six years. We have a two-year-old daughter. So she keeps us busy. She was born just like one
month before Henry. Oh, that's fun. Like all the things. Yeah, yeah, yeah, if you ever hear us
talking, it's like, oh, yeah. So is she getting onry and or fun? Yes. We'll call it. Fun and
Henri all at the same time. Yeah. And she, like her language is just exploding. And so we've
entered the Y stage. And she asks why, like, I think over a hundred times a day. Oh, man.
Is it every time you say no to something? She says why? Because that's what Henry,
Henry every time. Well, no. And.
And yes. She asked me why when I tell her she can do something.
Okay, so she's just inquisitive about everything.
Yes.
Yeah.
See, the other day, we were eating breakfast.
And she asked me why.
Why were we eating?
I don't know.
Yeah.
You don't have a lot of people.
A great way to like have conversation with anybody.
Like we should really take a note from this of like, you can really dig deep with
anything when if you just say why.
With it.
Maybe we need to take a note from the kids of the world.
But that's fun.
Henry is he's awesome, but he is so fun and so interactive and so just, yeah, hard, hard in a fun way right now.
So yes, it's just like figuring out, I mean, we've never been parents before.
So like I don't know how to it and I don't know how like to discipline at the same time.
And so just like leaning on our community, but also the Lord and just like going day by day.
That's funny.
I have in my notes, I have struggling to figure out how to be a fun, but how to be
fun but also be a good dad.
Like I've noticed myself recently.
I was talking to Catherine about this of like,
Bo will just be doing like these things.
And I'm like,
that's going to make a mess or that's going to whatever.
And I'm so quick to be like,
I'm not going to like,
I don't even acknowledge the fun aspect of it.
Like the other night,
he was the one in charge of like taking stuff from the dinner table
onto the counter to like for dishes.
And he took this lid from like the pot.
It sucked the lid upside down.
and then put the pot on top.
And all I see is like,
that can fall and make a huge mess
and be so loud and whatever.
But he's being like creative and funny and like,
dad,
look at what I did.
And I didn't even acknowledge it.
I was just like,
Bo,
you can't do that.
It's my fall.
You know?
And I'm like,
shoot,
I need to learn.
So I'll,
I'll keep learning how to discipline
and be a good parrot and fun all at the same time.
I had a similar situation.
I had a similar situation like two days ago,
Avery,
our daughter,
she loves to climb she gets it from her father and she was climbing our stove like she had her hands on
the handle bar like the the bar of the stove and was like realizing that she could climb and I was just
sitting there watching like I want to see how high she can get and then I realized like oh wait she could
get hurt and so I had to jump in but I'm like it's kind of fun to watch to see what she would do
yeah two year old is free soloing the oven I mean I don't know if that's the time to intervene
I just get a camera on.
And kind of like swinging like.
No, she does.
That's what she does at the park.
The way our park is laid out, there's like, above the slides, like an area for her to grab.
And she just holds on it and swings back and forth.
And I'm like, I need to intervene.
But at the same time, I live of like, well, she has to learn.
And if she gets hurt, she gets hurt versus like my husband is probably the more helicopter parent and like looping in.
Yeah, and sometimes I am that way, and other times I'm just like, I don't know.
I think I see six steps down the road of like, well, if I let him be goofy here,
then they're not going to know how to turn it off or whatever.
It's like, I don't know.
I just need to be more.
Like, it's almost like an inside joke with Catherine and I now of like,
Bo, stop doing that.
Hey, but that was a really fun idea, right?
And we kind of like make eye contact with each other when I say that.
But anyway, all right.
So Schmores, this is actually Madison's, Maddie, Mad Dog, Mad Max's idea.
So good, Max.
Great, great one.
We are calling it the, remind me exactly what we're calling it here.
It's like things that are embarrassing that aren't.
Things that are embarrassing that aren't.
And what inspired, was this just random that you thought of this or what?
Well, kind of.
The other day, not the other day.
Like a year ago, I was walking into work and I realized I left something in my car and I had
to like turn around.
and there was a bunch of people around.
I'm like, this is kind of embarrassing
that I'm like walking back to my car.
And like it shouldn't be.
Like I just needed my headphones.
But I had to like leave the door.
And the way like I worked for Coke industry.
So it's a very secure building.
And like to get out of the door,
you have to like wait for people to enter
because you have to go through like a shuttle basically.
I'm like, this just feels embarrassing.
But it's 8 a.m. and I'm already leaving work.
But that, that, that,
That inspired it.
I was talking to Maddie Dieterly when I was like,
I had a list of ideas to send you and we landed on this one together.
I love it.
I think this was great.
Me and Rachel were having a blast coming up with these together.
I think it's such a fun category.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, let's get started with it then.
I think I won last week.
Did you see that?
You were dominating or may not dominate, but you were winning Jake.
And I checked recently and I saw that I,
took a very small lead.
And maybe you came back.
Did you come back?
I don't know if I've checked.
Either way, we beat Scott.
Either way, Scott picked Ohio and a lot of Ohio people are like, thank you, Scott, but also it's
green everywhere, man.
I don't know.
Also, like, I love Kansas.
I don't know if I was planning on picking Kansas, though, honestly.
I mean, and maybe it's because I'm not from Valley Center, but I don't know.
I've just, Kansas is great.
No, I don't think I, I love Kansas.
I, I, I, I, my, my roots are planted here, but there's better states.
Who did you pick, Maddie?
I picked you.
Okay, then I'll go first.
Thank you for picking.
I appreciate that a lot, actually.
All right.
Well, I'm just kidding.
All right, yeah, let's go me, let's go me, Jake Maddie.
Let's, you know, I think we have to have a little bit of disadvantage for the celebrity out there sometimes.
I feel like there's no way we take anyone's answer for this though, right?
I mean, it's just got to be like, there's no way.
I was truthfully hoping to go last.
So thank you.
Oh, perfect.
All right.
Things that are embarrassing.
Wait, tell me one more time.
Things that feel embarrassing but aren't embarrassing.
Yes.
Things that feel embarrassing but aren't.
All right.
My first pick is going to be sneezing.
Do you like that?
I had, I had something.
I was going to say sneezing three times in a row is what I was going to say.
I had sneezing loudly.
Wow.
Okay.
Good thing you went first.
I'm just, I think I sneeze the same no matter what.
I don't know.
I don't.
When I've sneezed, I sneeze.
And I probably, yeah, so sneezing.
I think that one's just like, that's just a, it's a bodily function.
And a lot of bodily functions are kind of embarrassing.
But sneezing is one that's like, you can't help it.
Like the other ones you can kind of help.
You can't help a sneeze.
If it's, if you're sneezing or sneezing, there's nothing embarrassing about that.
I never, my criteria for all this is like, I don't like look down on people that are doing this.
So therefore it shouldn't be embarrassing.
Does that make sense?
So if I see somebody sneeze out in the public, I'm not going to be like, what do you do it?
What kind of sneeze do you have, though?
Because I had a coworker who sneezed and he squeaked like a mouse every time.
Yeah.
You know, I love my sneeze.
Honestly, I'm pretty proud of it.
It's a, it's an all-American sneeze.
I mean, it's not like a, my dad, my dad sneezes kind of embarrassing.
And sometimes I think it's a show because my dad will be like, he's one of those guys.
I'm just a classic, just a good old fashioned, you know, I don't know, steak and potatoes kind of sneeze.
I don't know, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I'm not a fan of the people that, that like, try to act like it's like they can't do it.
like the, I don't know what you described that as, but like the,
oh, Derek Chapman does that, yeah.
Yes, he does.
It's a concealed, concealed sneeze.
Conceal and carry sneeze.
Just let it out.
Second minute.
Be proud.
Yeah.
Don't like make it worse than it is, but like, just do it.
Yeah.
So when those people sneeze, and yeah, I'll call them those people,
it sounds like they're going to burst because you can hear kind of the inhale of the sneeze.
It's like,
it's like, dude.
It's like, dude.
It's going to blow out of your ears.
Just let it out.
It's a very cartoon sneeze.
Like, you would see that in like Tom and Jerry.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it would like, yeah, explode out their ears or something.
Yeah.
Smoke coming out.
So that's my first pick.
Jake, what do you got?
The first one I wrote down immediately thought of it as soon as you text me this idea was
walking back after you get done bowling.
Something about that.
time frame why am I so like self-conscious walking back to my seat like I've done my bowl
it was moderate actually it doesn't matter how good it is I could have got a strike and I'm
still like sorry that was weird I don't know what where's my seat because either way
either way it's like hey dude don't don't walk like you're a you know some kind of
amazing person for getting a strike and bolding yeah you're like all right just walk normal
I'm like, how do I walk normal?
I don't know.
My shoes are slippery.
I can't walk normal.
I think there's so many times I've walked back and like fallen because the shoes are just so slippery.
Yeah, yeah.
So this was on your list, Maddie?
Yes.
No.
I hate bowling.
That was my husband and I's first date.
And we had a terrible first date because he took me to everything I hated.
And I just hate the walk back.
You don't know what to do with your body.
Okay.
you're going. Okay. Yeah. All right. Good pick, Jake. Okay. The first one on my list is,
I don't do it as often now, but when you have to wear a coat and a backpack at the same time.
Oh, okay. Expex and you just like, you just feel like you're bulky. Like, um, whether it's like
like a turtle bag, like if your coat is really puffier and you're wearing a backpack, I just feel
like a little Michelin man like toddling around. Okay.
I get that for whatever reason.
It just feels like there's too much.
And I'm not wearing my backpack properly.
So maybe I'll just hold it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I just,
I feel awkward.
It's hard to,
it's hard to do that and have two straps on.
I would say like max one strap with the coat.
It's hard to get it off,
hard to get on.
Okay.
I like this.
That's good.
Yeah.
I'm also only 410.
And so coats are like very long on me.
And it just feels embarrassing.
I feel like I look too much like a turtle.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're going farther, like your dimensions are going farther deep than they are high.
Yeah.
That's the point.
That's funny.
Okay.
Okay.
The next one is, let's see, the half run or jog that you have to do when someone holds the door and you're not close by.
And so then you're trying to catch up so they can continue holding it.
but you're like jogging to get there.
Thank you.
Yeah, yeah.
That's good.
Yeah.
Oh.
I think.
I would want to get a door just.
Just.
Yeah.
Go ahead.
I got it.
And then that's kind of awkward too.
Like, uh, this is kind of, yeah.
Yeah.
Same with, uh, like, crosswalk.
Like even if they're in their car, I feel, I feel the need to like, just move my.
Bounce the shoulders.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think my feet are probably the same speed the whole time.
But like, I'm pretending like I'm running faster.
kind of, yeah.
Moving the elbows up and down a little bit more.
The arms.
In the one hand, like, thank you, thank you.
I'm almost there.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
The crosswalk by our house is there's been a lot of people get hit there too.
So I'm like, I really got to book it.
Whoa, a lot of people.
Yes, and it's right by the police station.
And so that's the best part is when someone gets hit.
The police are right there.
Like, no bad is.
Yeah, they're right on the scene immediately.
I think a lot of people,
More than one is already, one is enough, you know, to really, what's going on?
Have you guys diagnosed why this is happening?
Yeah, I got to see this crosswalk.
I just think that people of Valley Center don't want to stop.
Okay.
We only have two stoplights in this town.
And so, you know, the extra crosswalks that make you sit down yellow, don't want to do that.
This town is not used to stopping driving.
I get it.
Yeah.
No, we got our second.
We got the second speed light, not speed light.
cross whatever stoplight um maybe 10 years ago so still adjusting i feel like if everyone in that town
is 410 it's got to be hard to see people anyway so no wonder they get run over they go whoa i
almost almost hit that raccoon that was that was mattie it's an ad community that's 410 so it's like
all these f250s driving around with all these yeah little women just yeah i could see her
flags on the back of their f250s and you know probably their shotguns in the back of the trunk too
Yeah, just in case. Yeah, that's good. I like it. Okay, good one. All right, Jake.
All right, my next one I thought of, I don't know where this came from, but my second answer is correctly identifying a type of bird.
It didn't have to be this specific, but I want to make it this specific. So for instance, someone's like, oh, what is that? Is that like a pelican or something?
and then you go,
it's actually a stork.
Like basically just the,
that moment of like,
you know something that no one else really knows anything about.
It's like kind of embarrassing to know the right answer at times.
Yeah.
Yeah,
what is that?
I mean,
Maddie's a know-it-all.
What is that about?
Yeah,
that's just,
it's just hard.
What's it like to be smart,
basically,
is what I want to know.
Yeah.
I,
I feel that with words or like,
if,
they're like, what is the difference between who and whom?
And you're like, actually, I know the answer.
This is it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I like that, Jake.
I think, I think that's real.
I think, because every once in a while, it's like, depending on who it is, I just will, I'll just be silent and just not say the, say the correct thing.
Yeah, no, I think it's, it's, yeah, effect is always spelled with an E.
No matter what.
No, you're right.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah.
Is that a pelican?
you're like maybe a stork's a type of pelican i'm not going to say anything just in case you know
or like at trivia when it's like everyone's like i think we're going to go with jimani and like
it's it's it's moana it's it's moana it's easily moana um it's not even kind of uh
um okay all right i got two picks here um the first one i tell me if this is okay and if not
i'll be more specific but i just have the i just have the i just have the
the going alone.
And specifically, the two scenarios I'm thinking of are going alone to a restaurant or going
alone to the movies.
But just like for a long time, it was like, I can't go to Chili's by myself.
That's crazy.
Yes, you can.
All of a sudden, I love it.
But yeah, for a while, it was like, this is not acceptable.
So is that okay?
Going alone just in general?
I was this.
Yeah.
Okay.
I accept that answer.
And that is good. Certain people, they really find that embarrassing.
Or they feel sympathy. Oh, my gosh, look at that. He's eating by himself.
Yeah. Yeah. What I never feel.
The sympathy is it's like an old person because then I probably assume that their spouse is dead.
Their spouse got ran over by the crosswalk.
Yeah.
Got crosswalked.
That's, um.
Trying to think of a joke with valley and center where the, the hole in the ground is the valley.
And they're all sinners.
Yeah, there you go.
My next one is perusing.
We all know perusing, right?
We're not all here.
Perusing a small business vendor and then leaving him.
That's good.
Like a little like boutique.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A 50-year-old woman owns it.
Just trying her best.
And you go, nah, this selection sucks.
Or it's out of my price.
Yeah, yes.
All of a sudden, it's like, oh, my gosh, I had no idea that hand-blown.
glass cost this much. I'm not.
So yes.
That one, that one to me was
like is really awkward. So I'm just like, I'm sorry.
I don't know what to tell you. I don't even say anything.
I just kind of like back away slowly and leave.
So kind of like the same with like a farmer's market or anywhere where like they were like
watching you walk by their area and barely like give them like a glance.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just like I guess I guess I wasn't good enough for them.
Sorry.
Yeah, just keep down.
As soon as we moved here, we went immediately, like the first weekend,
we went to downtown Gilbert, Farmer's Market.
And half of the tents were like, try our meat, try our burger.
You know, I'm just, I'm zooming past them and I feel bad.
I'm like, I got a tick bite.
I can't even, you don't even want me.
You don't even want me.
I'm sorry, but it is embarrassing.
The smaller, the business, the more embarrassing it feels.
Because you see them face to face.
You like, know what you're saying no to.
Like, you go into bed, bedbath and beyond and leave.
you're like, I don't, that was, that was not any specific person that I just left.
It would be really hard to go into bed bath and beyond now.
They're closed.
Okay.
I know it all.
What a know it all.
They are completely.
I had no idea.
They closed like four years ago.
I was on the news about it.
I got interviewed.
I was walking in to like buy some very discounted curtains.
And the news stopped me to get my opinion on how I felt with them shutting down.
Here's this middle.
school girl we're going to ask her what she thinks of bedbath and be young shopping for her mom right now
you're going to love puberty someday uh yeah for 10 that's you say that you joke there was someone
that came to my house trying to sell something and they asked for my mom really that's awesome that's
kind of yeah i told them to get lost and that i was the owner of the home
listen here i'm i'm the owner of this hey you you watch what you're talking to
That's awesome.
Hey, you go!
What is it?
Oh, yours works now.
I guess so!
I'm talking about...
Good ranchers.
Hey, let's harmonize on good ranchers.
Ready?
You got it.
Rangers.
Ranchers.
Rangers.
Voice disguise.
Oh.
That is.
pretty good. I don't think I'd be able to tell that was your voice.
You don't think?
Seriously.
On your feet.
Hold on. Let me close my eyes.
A evil company
who sells meat
not manufactured
in the United States
of Fing America.
All right, wait, I think I know. I'm not going to
open eyes.
Sharon Myers.
Oh!
Dang, you fooled me.
I wish.
Oh, my.
If you didn't catch it, we are talking about good ranchers.
Sometime we will be, you know.
Barely, but we are talking about it.
They're convenient.
They're all American.
Celebrate our country's 250th birthday by buying something American.
It's kind of hard to actually buy things.
You that can't get clothing in America.
but you can get food to cherish it while you can.
You can get it delivered right to your doorstep.
Nothing more American than having it just dropped off for you.
So can I read?
And it's good.
My buddies.
Noticably different quality of meat.
That's all he said to me about it.
He got some good ranchers for Father's Day.
Notably different quality of meat.
Oh, and then the text before that,
oh, my good ranchers, quality meat.
OMG.
I think that's all you guys say.
OMG, quality meat.
Noticably, higher.
quality, good ranchers.com.
Use the promo code GRKC to get quite a bit.

Oh, I think you get money off too.
So it's all good.
Go to goadrenge.com.
Support them as they support us.

noticeably better meat quality meat so good ranchers dot com it's american meat delivered okay um all right
uh did you answer no that was just me that was my answer okay so you're your up jake
oh yeah it's back to me um i'm gonna go with um using the divider to separate your items at the grocery
store it's like just like i don't want any of your gross stuff getting into mine or like
Don't I'm not paying for an eye.
I don't,
nothing slips over here.
Something about like placing it there and then also kind of like pulling it up or
you know anything anything with the divider.
Yeah.
About it.
It feels passive aggressive for some reason.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Maybe it feels passive aggressive but isn't.
I'm going to put that down.
Yeah.
I don't trust my arms don't reach to get it.
And so then I'm like on my tip toes trying to get.
How small are you?
Only a couple inches.
He is like trying to pay.
Can we tap or can you just insert it for me?
Here we go.
Someone's already claiming this is our year.
Someone else said that last year too.
A round of James and Ginger and Lime arrives at the table.
Smooth enough for kickoff, smooth enough for extra time.
New friends pulling up a stool.
Debates about whether that was a handball.
Cheers rising like a roar around the room.
Because match days are about the shared moments.
How did Jameson to your match day lineup?
Jameson, it's what you bring.
Please enjoy our products responsibly.
Oh my gosh, that's great.
Janopin yells out there being like, no, it's a real thing.
Okay, guys.
No, they're tough to reach.
He's going to relate.
Yeah, she is going to relate.
Ordincy is going to be listening.
Like, I know, I told you.
I told you it was like that.
It's really hard for some of us.
Yeah, there's like, sometimes I'll stand on a step stool just to, like,
like see what my husband sees because he's close to his foot.
And I'm like, there's, there's dust up here.
You got to tell me.
Like, you got to dust yourself.
I have this opposite feeling every once in a while.
I'll like accidentally have my front facing camera shot at me or like,
or like I'll like be looking and see something at the mirror and like see what's up my nose.
Do you look at people up people's nose a lot?
Genuine question.
Yes.
Seriously.
Like I'm like, I don't worry about those things more.
because more people than not are shorter than me that are looking at me and they see they see up there
that i don't think is that big of a deal because i never look at people's noses yeah it's not very
fun yeah i do my neck gets really sore poor thing really strong neck all right all right mattie you get
two more to end it out okay um i'm gonna have to go with uh when you're watching a movie or a tv show with
your parents and a spicy scene comes on and we're all adults but I feel the need to like cover my
eyes and not not pay attention and just be enthralled in something completely different so we're
with that one that is tough do you address it do you ever like even you crack jokes like
huh what are they wrestling about I thought they liked each other no my parents are in there
close to their 70s. So. Oh, wow. Yeah. My dad had me at 40. So I don't make any jokes. I just keep my head down.
Isn't it funny? Like we think like they're old so they don't know. It's like I think they've known for,
you know, 65 years now. Yeah. Yeah, that's funny. It's like don't, don't say anything. That's a good
answer. I would I would challenge that that might just be embarrassing though. Like it might be.
I think there's a little bit of both because you're right.
On some levels, it's like, listen, you know, we're married.
So therefore we understand this.
But also it's like, but it's not on screen when we're married, you know, so.
I hope it's not.
At least, yeah, at least it's not in this Kansas town.
I don't know.
But anyway, so that's a good answer, though.
Okay.
Next, next one for you.
We will go with my last one is when I'm in a.
room full of strangers and I have to eat and you're just kind of like worried like what if I
get something on my face what if something's in my teeth what if I like spill something on me
not not my favorite and like everyone else is eating so it shouldn't be embarrassing it's like
we're yeah this is what we're doing here yeah but I dread the day we have team lunches and I have
to sit and eat in front of a bunch of people what is like if you were to have a team lunch
is there something that would make you the most dreadful to eat?
We had one about a month ago with like the leader of our group.
And we were also like we were eating,
but we were also supposed to be asking questions at the same time.
And there's just there's too many variables.
And it was like around people I don't necessarily interact with all the time either.
Yeah.
You're not even comfortable, work comfortable with.
them like you're like yeah yeah but we're not like hang out every day colleagues so yes i think when
they usually it's like italian of some sort like like red sauce italian with that's what you're having
with like mediocre not even mediocre with with uh weak lettuce salad like if it's a nice iceberg
that you can poke pretty good we're not having problems but like whatever that other kind of like
leafy green salad is that you have to poke a bunch of times with your,
you're like, I think it's on there.
I don't know.
Yeah, or if it's spinach and it's like hard to get in your mouth in one bite,
but you can't really bite.
Yeah, you got to like the sticking thing out of spinach, 100%.
Yeah, that was the exact meal we had was red sauce with chicken and wimpy lettuce.
Wimpy lettuce.
That's a tough meal.
Okay, that's good.
All right, Jake.
That's good.
All right, my last one.
You guys actually said this word earlier, but I had a written
down just puberty everything that comes with it you're like man i'm i feel embarrassed about this but
we all have to go through it i guess there's nothing that should be embarrassing about it but
yeah it feels like it for a couple years it's just so personal it's just so like yeah did you ever
a voice cracking stage no i did it was pretty brief yeah no from mattie yeah do girls do it ever
is that a thing uh no but like my voice coach
for public speaking said that like my yeah that eventually like my voice would deepen from when I was
like freshman to high school and it did so really okay yeah but we didn't and I never cracked my
voice or anything so are you saying you had a voice coach your freshman year of high school I did
public I did competitive public speaking oh you probably needed that deep voice 410 you got to command
the room yes yeah uh
attention. I had I had a coach who he was just like an English teacher at my high school,
but he would help like write my speeches and then we would like have practice essentially every
day. So is that different than like is competitive public speaking the same as debate or is that
it's different. So it's forensics technically, but I only did informative and persuasive speeches.
And so it's like that. It was not, no one was responding to you. No, I had a judge and I would
perform in front of the judge. That's pretty cool. Perform. Yeah. Like you would you would give your speech.
And then you would like obviously like at the end because it's forensics like you might win a medal if you placed or not.
So right. How often did you incorporate humor? Because I think Jake and I would definitely try to incorporate humor into ours or is that like pretty often. I, my speeches were like tailored to my personality. I would say. So like one time I would.
I wrapped in for the beginning of it.
I'm not a very good rapper,
but there's just something funny about like a short white girl.
Sure. Yeah.
Right.
And so we did that to like open up the speech.
There was times where like to like keep getting the judge's attention,
I would just pretend to like forget the speech or like walk out almost.
And then I would like circle back.
Some theatrics.
Yeah.
And so like there was those or we my scene, my junior year of.
high school was when trivia crack, the app was really big. And so like my whole speech was built on
like trivia crack, like the concept and we incorporated it into it. I tried to do like there was a very
brief stint where I tried to do like a humorous interpretation, which is like a monologue, like acting
out a monologue, but like humorous. And for some reason the one we picked was about an overweight woman. And the
judge's comment was doesn't make sense for someone your size. And so, okay. That was, that was it.
Never did it again. All right, Judge. Yeah. Did you say it was called? What's that? That type of speech.
Humorous interpretation. And is anything on the table? Like, could you be like, I'll be Rosa Parks. You'd be the bus.
I mean, you could. But I'd like to do that. Yeah. I'm in.
after that comment i struck strictly to just speeches not even go dabble in the acting isn't that
crazy like what if they would have said that was amazing like you could you might have i really believed
you were overweight that was so good yeah i love it i don't know i don't think it was what um i was gifted
in anyways so good for you we we moved to a different category all right um my last one
don't know there's a lot that are fine here um things that are things that should feel embarrassed
or things that feel embarrassing but aren't uh i'm just going to say working out i sometimes am like
what if what if i there's there's things that i'm like no one else is watching you as much as you
think they're watching you basically like i feel like kind of like you're saying medicine about like
your like work lunch where it's like everyone's eating we're not you're not noticing other people eating
weird maybe you are but like working out i think sometimes it's like okay like everyone's watching to
see how much weight i'm doing right now yeah it's like i don't i don't watch anybody else's weight
i might see somebody walk past but i'm not like what's that guy doing oh my gosh how embarrassing
that guy's not doing as much as you know whatever uh but yeah sometimes it just feels like it's
embarrassing when you're trying something new you're like am i do does it look right you know whatever
all that kind of stuff so that's so very even just like i only actually really actually
ran on the tremor for like five minutes and now I'm walking or do they notice that I like didn't
even run that much and I'm just walking you know like no no one is paying attention yeah exactly
knowing like how to use the equipment and having to like read the directions to make sure you're doing
it right sure yeah yeah yeah I don't know read the directions is kind of funny yeah are the directions
printed on your equipment so that's the Spanish yeah yeah coke industries you know they
Yeah. No, my husband and I went before we were married. I thought it would be fun. We go to the gym together. And he did not like going to the gym with me because I didn't know what I was doing. So. Oh, yeah. That's funny. We went one time. And that's been it. And that was a memory that you guys have. Yeah, that's great. All right. I'm going to recap real quick. And then we can give any honorable mentions. I said sneezing, going alone. Sorry, this is things that feel.
feel embarrassing but aren't. And this is, I'm just recapping them for whoever's going to do the poll
later. So, I said, sneezing, going alone, perusing a small business vendor and then leaving
empty handed and working out. Jake said walking back after you get done bowling, correctly
identifying a type of bird, using the divider and separate your items at the grocery store
and puberty. And Maddie said, wearing a coat with a backpack, half run slash jog when someone
holds the door watching a TV show with your parents and a spicy scene comes on and when I'm in a
room full of strangers and I have to eat I love it. That's a fun fun category Maddie. Thank you.
I still have so many on my list. I don't know what that's funny, but.
Brattle mom. We had, let's see, when you drop something in front of strangers or just like
in a room full of people, having to ask where the bathroom is, like if you're at someone's house
or you're not quite sure just like where's the bathroom.
Yeah.
Getting out of the pool was one because no one looks good getting out of the pool.
Maddie Dieterley added to the list of when she gets the cinnamon swirls in public.
Oh, yeah.
I'll share that.
That is embarrassing.
Yes.
That's actually embarrassing.
Yeah, I want to say that that feels embarrassing.
It just is.
Straight up is.
Yeah.
That's good.
Jake, what about you?
Yeah, I got a few.
And credit to Rachel, she probably came up with like half of these as well.
Yeah, sneezing three times in a row.
Correcting your order.
Like they got it really wrong and you have to say like, I actually ordered this.
Yeah.
Running as fast as you can.
Blowing your nose.
Yeah.
asking for light ice
okay
having the exact same car as someone else
and then
kind of embarrassing
like if you show up somewhere
oh oh you guys have the
same car yeah
yeah
I'm thinking like on an airplane
like telling someone that
they are in your seat
I feel a lot of shame having to do that
even though you know it's true
Even though and you have to like there's no other yeah shoot yeah yes that happened to us at a concert
a couple weeks ago we were we went to see phil wickham and uh we my husband let us down the wrong
row and so then you're like this lady was like no these are these are my seats and my husband's
like no these are our seats and we like had to go back and forth like we're in the wrong row
let's go one one up now and sit where we're supposed to wow
Are you ready? I'm going to try it.
These are your seats. This is your row. I'm sorry.
There you go. That's my that's my Phil Wickham parody to that situation.
And perfect. My last honorable mention was just speaking from the heart being bad at singing.
Okay.
It's just like any other, you know, biological trait that gets passed down like short, tall, athletic, whatever.
But for some reason that one's like, no, I can't even.
I can't do that.
It doesn't happen.
the tune. That's good. Your voice will get deeper as you turn to a senior in high school, Jake.
Things that feel embarrassing but aren't for me. Forgetting names. I'm always like, dude,
don't worry about forgetting my name. It's fine. But I always hate, you know, when I'm like,
crap, what's your name? Somebody that goes back to school, like to, like,
going back to school for another degree. I don't know. Like, that's kind of honorable,
but also, I think, kind of embarrassing. I don't know. Um, asking.
for directions just a classic uh returning an item to a store for whatever reason is like always a little
bit like ah i don't know i always think like they think that i'm trying to pull a fast one on them like
i promise it's in there and it's the it's normal and it works fine i didn't do it i didn't like
jail break this thing and you know take all the stuff out of the inside of it or something i don't know
dancing just in general dancing um saying what
more than once yeah it's their fault for mumbling but i can't yeah i feel bad um answering a phone call
in public you get that one at all like like you're in a sense in the more crowded like having to talk
on the phone in an elevator mm-hmm yes i'll just let to go to voice mail i'll call them back
yeah because it's uh yeah accepting change i never i've never done that smooth in my entire
life. Like I think yeah, unless there's just a perfect amount of coins and that to weigh down the
dollar bill. It's just like I think I have it, you know. Um, and then last one I had was
driving path to policeman. Like just like I'm always just like I promise I'm not I have no drugs.
I have no drugs in my car, but I'm even tile and all. But I'm like if they pull me over,
I'm going to be nervous. I don't know why, you know. So I had a.
asthma attack the first time I got pulled over. Really? Wow. Yeah, I was so nervous because I was
clearly in the wrong. I was speeding, but it sent me into an asthma attack and my inhaler was in the back seat.
And so I didn't know you couldn't get out of your car when you get pulled over.
You reach into your purse. No, I like, just take a second. I got drugs in the back, please.
I got out of my car, my four or five hundred passed down from my mom and tried to get in the back
seat and they're like get back in the car like i see to grab something yeah like i can't breathe
wow yeah i can't breathe that that doesn't always work with police officers just FYI yeah they uh
they didn't give me a ticket so got out of that job okay it was more just having to go home this was
when i was like 17 but tell my dad that i got a ticket yeah yeah that's no fun no
I like the one, I like yours, Brad, the, like having to go back to college.
Yeah.
Like being a non-traditional student in college.
Yeah.
I don't know why.
It's not embarrassing.
I never, I never thought twice about those people that were there, like, but also something about it.
It's like, couldn't have figured us out the first time, you know?
Now you want to be a teacher and now you want to be a nurse, huh?
Okay.
Mm, young pregnancy.
Oh, no, it's all good.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
Maddie,
thank you for joining us.
This is awesome.
Yeah,
thank you for having me.
This is fun.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Heck yeah.

So I had,
well,
the email,
our email chain had a few.
Others are,

once a night and so yeah I'm very inverse in them that one and then when you first
said celebrity I think you're gonna do like celebrity schmores like your
favorite celebrities okay just in general do you know the author Jan Brett
no man really thought people knew Jim Brett
You'll hear about her later.

Well, my favorite thing to buy
on Cozure's website
is anything from Viscos from Bambay.
Mm-hmm.
Viscos from Bambay.
Yeah. And I know we've said that before, but I don't know. What else you want me to say to convince you?
Buy something from her. Buy a sleep shirt from there. Buy some socks from there. It will make your life more cozy and just, I don't know, just more premium maybe. Like it's just like, it can just slightly elevate little experiences like getting out of the shower or falling asleep. You know, things like this. Traveling, you know, get a nice hoodie. Get a nice pair of joggers. It's going to elevate these experiences.
It's very high quality.
It really does.
It just feels like you're just,
you just leveled up.
You just leveled up.
And some things are worth leveling up.
And other things,
it's like, okay,
maybe I won't level up there yet.
But then you get Cozy Earth in one way.
And it's like,

I don't know why she left like that
I don't know if she was on her phone
or on the computer but
anyway sweet
that was fun yeah
it's fun to have a have a celebrity
that now has a face to the name for a lot of these people that have probably seen her do the
smores polls on yeah so she's always very fun but making the emojis too for everything
for all the all the polls you know not make thank you so good max so good so good mad max
um let's go what i said one last thing on my list we went and saw um ney bargazzi was it down
or getzi
forgetsy
good for you
you did it
yes absolutely
it was in Phoenix
and you guys are
you know
ex podcast network
you know
and a relationship like that
runs deep
so it was good to see
yeah it was good to see
naty
that's what he wants me to call him
like I'm his first mate
or first Nate
ahoy Nate
oh hoy Natey
yeah we have a little thing like that
yeah
but we bought tickets last minute
we bought him like Friday afternoon
the show was Friday night.
It said like, yeah, you're in the upper section.
It's row 14.
I go, okay, it's not bad.
Turns out it cuts off at row 14.
So we were in the upper deck back to the wall.
Like I could touch the top of the like arena.
Really?
But it still wasn't bad.
I mean, see, top row.
It was great though.
It was like me, Rachel, Kyle, Isaac, Nathan.
We all went and Rachel and I had seen this, this,
show basically hit this set, you know, like almost like last year, but it thought it'd be fun to go back and see it.
And you kind of remember some of the jokes, but it's not like you know exactly what every punchline's going to be.
So it was still very funny.
Got recognized, you know, as soon as we walked through security, we were like, hey, and Isaac goes, here we go.
That didn't take long.
But it was fun.
We got up to like actually find our seats into our section.
And at the same time, we finally come out there.
And the correct opinions thing plays over the Jumbotron, which I didn't realize that.
was still even going with my face on it.
So that's happening.
Someone says hi to me. They're like, look.
And at the same time, Isaac's on the other side of the staircase.
And someone goes, hey, the Friday guys are here.
It was like, this is so fun.
This is great. How about this?
And it was great.
There was, the openers were awesome.
There was one.
And I'm not going to rag on them or maybe even say her name.
But there was one.
it goes, whoa.
That must be for somebody else.
I can't believe you're opening for Nate.
That wasn't for me.
Vulgar or?
No, just,
just appealed to a different audience,
I guess.
I'm guessing like older,
maybe a much older crowd loves her.
And it's fine.
Leon Morgan.
I'm just kidding.
It wasn't Leon Morgan.
Bion Morgan's hilarious.
It was a rough eight minutes.
But the host was good.
And then Andrew Stanley performed.
I never got,
I've been following him for years.
and never saw him perform.
St. Andre?
Yes.
Yeah, Andy Stanley's son.
He was awesome.
I think he was like our favorite of the night.
And then Aaron Weber went.
He was amazing.
He crushed.
And then Nate obviously did really good.
So it was a really fun night.
Cool.
I actually messaged Andrew Stanley after it's like,
hey dude, I know I've been following you for years.
Never got to see you perform.
But you did awesome tonight.
And I just kind of, that's all I said.
Just like it was great.
And he responded back in like five minutes like,
oh, that's cool.
Thanks, man. Hey, I'm coming back to Timpey in July if you want to like hop on and do a set.
So I was like, all right.
Cool. Okay.
So I guess I'm performing again in like three weeks.
So that's kind of fun.
Of course.
Yeah, you can take the, you can take the, you can't take the, go ahead.
You're the comedian.
Say the next part.
Can't take the tour out of the comedian.
The comedian.
Yeah.
That's awesome, dude.
No, it's really nice.
It's been really fun.
so neat is he a little more like uh dry yeah very dry yeah i think he's pretty funny on those videos
are they still doing those i know i think i don't see him as much but i assume they're still
crushing and doing well i don't know how much he's in them anymore but it seems like his comedy
career is maybe taken off if he's opening for nate so anyway yeah he was awesome if if andrew
Stanley's coming to your town, I would
highly recommend him.
Check them out. Sweet, dude.
Fun.
Um,
I only have one other random
little, I have a few more, but the one
that I, I'm going to talk about now.
Um, saw a sign for,
it was like a, what do they call them when they're like,
when the truck is like wrapped with a, like a
business. Yeah.
Um, this, this was, this business for this truck
said,
Casey Dent Crafters.
Okay, so I think it's like somewhere where you go if your car is messed up.
Okay.
In the tagline was ding them and bring them.
I don't think.
I don't.
And I saw that.
I was like,
that sounds borderline like prescriptive of like,
hey,
go take a bat to that car over there and then bring it our way and we'll give you some,
you know,
like ding them and bring them.
Get dinged.
and then you then be bringed like that makes more but you don't
dingham means it sounds like you're going after the ding.
They could have yeah I was like they took the first suggestion like we could do dingham and
bring them yeah that's great let's put that on all the trucks yeah they didn't really think it through
because you're absolutely right prescriptive is a great word for it ding him and bring them hey yeah
it's like it's like Scott yeah meal ding him and bring him yeah it sounds like um like kind of the
plot of a night crawler a little bit. It's like, why wait for the news to come to you when you can
create headline worthy breaking news to fuel your business? That's what they're doing.
Like, why don't we just bash in the cars, more business? Right. Get it on both sides.
Ding them and bring them. So that's fine. Go ahead and bring. Yeah. Yeah. It's just like,
yeah. And I've seen them around town a few different times. I just think to myself, are you guys doing
something like they're just telling them like here's what we're doing we're ding it going to let us let us
join there you go that makes more sense got a little crack we got your back we got your back
that's good uh someone dinged your door we got we got we got fixers galore there it is um
rear ended i hardly know her oh what i was going to say we're in get you mended
We're highly recommended.
Yeah. Finder Bender, I hardly know her.
So anyway, KC. Dent Grafters, ding him and bring him.
The other one that I did see was there was, I just wrote down certain companies just don't need to exist.
And a heavy metal coffee company is that company for me.
I just don't know if that's, if that's one that's needing to be.
I understand you probably love heavy metal.
You probably love coffee.
I don't think you need to do everything together.
You know what I mean?
Like I like pickleball.
I like woodworking.
I don't think I need to do a pickleball themed woodworking store.
Yeah, I think it's like heavy metal can be a hobby.
And that's the type of music you listen to.
But I don't know if it needs to be the theme.
So where is this?
And it's strictly heavy metal themed.
It's like, shout out to our friends, Nick Hagman.
Casey Daly is how I heard about this.
So that's about all I know.
I don't think I click on the next portion of the information about it.
I just saw a heavy metal coffee company.
And I just thought, that's not going to work.
That's not sticking around.
It might miraculously stick around for five years.
It's not going to be a 30 year long business.
Like they're not going to be a staple of the neighborhood, I don't think, personally.
I was in a coffee shop just a couple days ago.
And Nathan Coley had somebody's like, hey, here's a draft of the video.
Let me know what you think.
And I was like, I'm actually in a coffee shop right now with no headphones.
and they're playing crazy train by Ozzy Osbourne,
so I'll get to this when I can.
But the playlist was insane.
It was like, at times it was like, yeah, heavy, you know,
whatever, hard rock.
And then it was like kind of like a Rihanna dubstip remix or something.
It was, it was not good.
It was not coffee shop.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I think I think you have to accept that certain music goes with certain types of restaurants.
Like you go to a barbecue.
place you want like some bluesy bluesy music you know you go to a bar the bar bar bar has multiple
different things but bars should not have coffee shop type music they should not have corin bailey
ray they should not no one should have crazy trained by azie osborne you don't like crazy train by
osi osborne at all i feel like it's just it's at every live sporting event okay so it's okay
at the sporting events or is it still even then i don't know maybe for kickoff
I think that's the issue of Spotify's America right there
because I think
when I didn't hear it all the time
I was like this song is amazing
but now I'm like I could listen that song anytime
yeah loses a little bit
anyway
heavy metal coffee company don't do it
don't do that
don't do that
cool
what else you want to say
before we end this thing
no I don't think so
it feels good I'm going to go
pick up my parents from the airport
bring them to town
Bring him and bring him.
Town of Phoenix.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Crazy man.
Quick win in the week.
Mine is two different experiences with Bo this past week.
One of them is he bought that laser tag.
Did I tell you how he bought this laser tag thing at the garage sale we went to?
I don't remember that.
Okay.
It's just like this at-home laser tag kit.
And he loves it.
He thinks it's so fun.
I whoop them every time.
I never let them beat me.
But it's like you have a honestly the reason that I beat them is because you put one sensor on your chest and one sensor on the gun.
And I'm like that it's supposed to be made for kids.
So like the sensor on the chest is so high up that it's like on my neck basically.
So I'm like covering it up.
That's great defense.
Yeah.
I'm not tried.
I'm like actually like try to like shoot out my chest when I'm going.
But anyway, that's been really fun.
and then Bo just went to camp, or not camp, VBS this past week.
And he's like, hey, can I play you this song that I wrote on this guitar?
And I mean, it's literally like this tiny little like, you know, plastic guitar.
But he sings, it always says is I love you Jesus.
But it was like the sweetest sounding thing ever.
And like, and he was kind of like shy about it and I love you Jesus, you know.
And anyway, I was just like, that's adorable and awesome.
That's awesome.
And he's not like usually that kind of kid.
And so it's really sweet to see him do that.
So anyway, those are my wins of the week.
That's fun.
Yeah.
I'm bouncing because I found it too common of the week for quick.
A May, we know Amay said,
I'm not even halfway through the episode and I am on the floor laughing.
Best part is I recommended the podcast to a new friend this week.
So if you're reading this, normally vasectomies are not normally a focus, but boy, was that hilarious.
The first ever all-electric 2026 Subaru Trail Seeker is the EV for the trail obsessed,
with up to 444 kilometers on a full charge and DC fast charging from 10 to 80% in about 30 minutes in ideal conditions.
Plus, ample ground clearance and symmetrical all-wheel drive make the 2026 Trail Seeker the most capable EV Subaru has ever
built test drive it at your local
Subaru dealer or visit Subaru.ca.
That's awesome.
I love that.
Yeah, that was, that was a good.
As we were doing that one, I was like,
this is good. Like when Scott was like,
I asked my friend to walk me through every step
of the process.
Oh, man.
That was so good.
Oh, my comment in the week,
Nathan Peterson, be thinking of your win, Jake.
Nathan Peterson, who is the younger brother
of my boy Greg Peterson, Peterson Farmbrose.
It's just fun when you're like,
I didn't know Nathan and listen to our podcast.
He said, Ken confirmed Peterson Farmbrose Snapchat
gets the most consistent views of any of our social media.
And we snap all our neighbors all the time,
how the farming's going.
Agford is also very strong.
So maybe farmers are just bad at moving on
from something we finally get the hang of.
It's just fun.
There's lots of comments and like, yeah,
just confirmation of like, yeah, my husband's a farmer
and he loves Seth.
Yeah, they're on Snapchat all the time.
They are taking pictures of their combines.
Like that is real.
So shout out, Nathan.
So good.
What a great observation.
So true.
So good.
My one of the week is, I think when I get done with this, I'm going to book flights to
to Grand Rapids, Michigan.
So I think the week, I guess when you're listening to this, Wednesday, I think I'm
going to get there tonight.
Isaac's going to also get there.
Scott's going to also get there.
And I think even Matt is flying in.
So we got a lot of just reunion will be very fun to see Scott,
see Matt,
and also got a lot of work to do.
There's a tournament in town where Rachel's going to be playing in.
We just got a new batch of prototypes.
We got a lot of work to do.
And then also would love to try and figure something out with the ghosties in town.
Go see the Bondi Bowls over in Holland, Michigan.
So it should be really, really fun.
I'm excited for that weekend and also to see Scott and Matt.
Dude, do you want, maybe you just want to talk about this one-on-one.
the thing falling on Rachel.
Oh yeah.
I did have that written down.
I forgot to bring it up.
Yeah, you saw it?
Yeah.
Dude, that happened.
I was watching it live on TV when it happened.
And it freaked me out.
I was sick to my stomach.
It was crazy.
So for those who don't know,
it's not quite a jumbotron.
You know,
it's not like some huge thing hanging from the ceiling.
But a large video board,
we looked to the back for it,
we think it weighs around 2,000 pounds.
But it, you know,
LED panels.
It's a wall.
And Rachel was at the baseline, getting ready to return a serve,
and it just fell over on her.
Yes.
Yep, that's good too.
Yeah.
Pickleball tournament.
Her left leg was already wrapped for a hamstring injury.
This whole thing basically falls on her left leg.
And then they just immediately cut to commercial.
You see like people freaking out cuts to commercial.
Then like for 10 straight minutes, they don't come back.
They do finally go back.
to the tournament and all you see is like one of her teammates that got his like hands on his head
and it's all in there for only two seconds and it goes back to commercial so you're like dude what
is happening really they like how bad is this oh wow yeah so we're like i mean i think she tore her
acel or her achilles is rupture i mean like this is bad i don't know if she's on her way to the
hospital right now we don't know how bad it is and what's crazy is it could have been even
worse she was back pedaling when it happened so if this happens even a second or two later this lands
on her back or her neck or her head or something.
And then she's, who knows, I mean, could have sustained something life-threatening.
But yeah, they, she was able to like, so she was pinned underneath it.
Her teammates had to help push it up.
She gets out from under it.
Then one of the first videos I see is on Twitter.
She's walking off under her own power.
Like, oh my gosh, thank goodness.
Okay, she's not in too much trouble.
Then the next video I see on Twitter is 13.
We counted 13 men have to hoist it back up.
So something that took that many people to put it back up is what fell on her.
So anyway, it was kind of crazy.
So, I mean, she sustained some like nasty bruises and gashes and is in like a lot of pain,
but still like push through and played.
I mean, she can like kind of play, but she's still like a top 10 player in the world,
even like super injured.
So I still able to get some wins.
And yeah, it's going to be interesting from a legal standpoint to see what happens next because
Major League pickleball put out a statement.
And it was like the most lawyer dancing around statement ever.
It was like an unfortunate incident happened today.
It was windy and the board fell.
Play on.
It was like barely mentioned anything.
And it didn't mention Rachel or that it fell on one of their players or that she was pinned underneath it.
You know, it was just like, huh, windy out there, huh guys?
Yeah, yeah.
That's crazy, dude.
So that would be interesting to see kind of how it unfolds.
And we're here to help and support.
however we can, but yeah, it's crazy.
But luckily she's able to play still.
Like, like she's not,
she hasn't sustained any injuries that are like
causing her not to be able to play right now.
Yeah, I mean, she was able to kind of play
the rest of that week.
She didn't play the next day,
but then two days later,
she didn't play women's doubles,
but she did play mixed doubles
because the guy can kind of take over a little bit more.
But even then,
you remember your shot to luff him up?
That's what they kept doing to Rachel
because they knew she wasn't very mobile.
They kept luffing her up, dropping the ball into the kitchen.
And the crowd was just booing like crazy because it was like,
come on.
She's out here fighting for a life and you're just like making her sprint.
And again, there's an argument to me.
You know, if you're out there, you're out there.
But she's still unsure if she's even going to play in Grand Rapids.
So we're going to go ahead and book our flights.
And I think make a week out of it regardless and we'll just watch or whatever.
But yeah, it's really scary.
It freaked us all out.
Sure.
Yeah, I would imagine.
Cool.
Yeah, I was just curious.
I'd forgotten to talk to you about that.
I was like, that's like huge.
That's like a big deal.
So it was like a like your prized horse, you know, going down.
Like are we have to shoot her?
We put a lot of investment into this girl.
Yeah, you're like, what does this do for our contract with her if she doesn't fly?
No, yeah.
We were just like, gosh, I hope she's like, okay.
And I hope she's not too traumatized to like stand next to a wall now.
You know, I'm sure there's got to be a little bit of her like looking behind you
every time you're returning a serve now, like,
you're bored, okay?
Yeah, I'm sure it was like, yeah,
just like you didn't even realize what was happening
because it's such a non,
you're not expecting that thing to fall ever.
Yeah, it's a crazy
screen recording to go back and look at.
Yeah, really.
All right, well, uh, let's end it there.
Hey, come to the ghosty get away.
So I got some slots.

It was like, this is incredible. I was like, thanks, ma'amon.
So, what was his Spotify comment?
I don't remember.
I just thought it was from time and it was.
It was not like a, like it was like an actual
like, I'm just listening to this and responding to something
the guy's fake, I think.
I don't know what it was.
That's all good. Anyway,
Missy time. Missy time.
