Starting point is 00:00:00 Brad, I want to know if you feel this way, relatable or not, to start this off. Thank you. Isaac and I were bonding over this. I don't know why it, like, just like, 5% annoys me or bothers me, but waiter, waitress, they could be doing everything right. But when they come over and they say, now have we, now have we been here before or is this our first time? Do not like that question and none of it, I don't even know what the purpose of it is.
Starting point is 00:00:28 regardless, I'm going to read the menu in English. I'm going to read, I'm going to look at all of it anyway. I'm going to make my decision. But, you know, like, I don't know what that question is leading to it. What's the point of that question? Like, very few restaurants do something so revolutionary that you need, that you need to explain it. Like, if you've been here before, it's the first time. Oh, we've been here before.
Starting point is 00:00:47 Okay, so you guys know that we're going to bring out the water. We're going to give you water if you want some. We're going to like, you get more water if you want it. And, you know, after after water, we're going to ask if you want more drink. or, you know, the appetizers come at the beginning here. You know that. Okay, good. You can save room for dessert if you want to, but no, judgment, if you don't.
Starting point is 00:01:09 And you guys know how to pay, right? I'll ask you for dessert. Yeah. I'm about a 1% success rate ever getting anyone to order dessert. Unless, oh, I do see Scott Peck here. Okay, so the Chase has went up to 50%. And Nathan Coley is going to get it if Scott Peck's going to get it. So, okay, yeah, maybe two.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Yeah. It seems like, yeah, even if. you've got to answer like yes we come every Tuesday there's nothing you could say that they won't say okay well yeah we've still got some daily special you know it's like I think we're you're just got to tell us all this anyway what is the point of this question okay okay so initially I was like I'm not annoyed because I like I like knowing the things that they would get because like everything looks good on a menu of course it sounds good um but I think I would ask that either way like well maybe not I don't know I don't know if I don't know if I don't I'm not five percent annoyed but I think I think
Starting point is 00:01:58 I could be swayed with a different question. The thing I want to figure out is not necessarily if I've been there before. It's like, do you guys need help figuring out what you want? Something like that. Yeah. And I have any questions on the menu.
Starting point is 00:02:13 They ask that. I like that. It does depend on the restaurants. I think when this first happened to Isaac and I, it was like just a run-of-the-mill sports bar. It was like, who cares have I been here before? Our jalapeno poppers are good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:26 They're, they're, you, you heat them up. from this freezer bag that everyone else gets to from Cisco, all right? Yeah, it just seems like this like purgatory of like, can we just get through, none of this matters. Let's get to the real thing. But I will say today at lunch, it was kind of skewed a little bit because we get the same question. And in this place we'd never been to, they go, well, just so you know, everything is organic and seed oil free here. You go, oh, okay. First time here, I didn't know that. That's something that you wouldn't know if you haven't been there before, probably. And they said they have a sourdough starter that's been going for 120 years.
Starting point is 00:03:00 That's good. I don't care about that. I don't care about that at all. I don't care about that one. I don't care how old my bread is. Because you're baking it new, dude. I don't care how. It's supposed to be a flex?
Starting point is 00:03:12 That seems really old. Yeah, that's going to be moldy, right? Like, Hattie was just talking the other day about how they found honey, like, honey. Like, that's been like with mummies or something like that. She's like, honey doesn't age. I was like, I'm not eating that honey. I would like, new honey, please. I don't need old honey.
Starting point is 00:03:30 That's what I should have said. And our sourdough started, you know, it's been going for 120 years. Gross. How was the cheese? Okay. How is everything here? What's the big, big whoop? Like, I do want to taste test something.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Like, I think that's kind of cool. I'm not trying to really, truly act like sourdough that's old is not cool. But I want to know if it makes a difference. I want to see. Yeah, is it like wine where it does kind of age, you know? Is the sourness or being? kept in some sort of barrel. More tang, more, yeah, more juice on that sourdough.
Starting point is 00:04:02 I don't know. The mother dough. But I just, yeah, I think there's like a, there's like a max to how much better it's going to get. Like after, after five years, I bet it's pretty good, you know? So. Yeah, maybe. Either way, I'll have to say, I think I've come to terms with it.
Starting point is 00:04:20 It just really depends on the restaurant. If it, yeah, the more you offer, the more you are allowed to like question whether you've been there before or you know that I don't know if their menu is the water doesn't mean water here or something weird. There's a there's a place, Casey, the mix, you know? You've been there? Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Yeah. That, my friend, is something confusing. Because there's like two different lines. One of them's for salad. One of them's for like sandwiches. And then but you go and you order them and then like there's a, you kind of converge in the middle to like pay. So if you're ordering two different things.
Starting point is 00:04:56 And then you're, you go down, you sit down and then they like bring it to you. That's somebody that needs to be standing by the door saying, have you been here before? Because if not, you're going to be intimidated by this. Because yeah, in three minutes you're going to have to merge. There's like an on ramp. So you yield right there, yeah, to pedestrians and then come on through. Yeah. By the way, we do serve water, you know, just in case. Uh, uh, oh, ooh, I do. I think this tight beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts on white meat too. Then West best friends eating fast food on repeat. So come along. Let's have some fun and go ahead. Get on your feet because it's a ghost from Spock.
Starting point is 00:05:30 It is a treat. I got to go to a lot of restaurants the past three days with Scott. Oh, yeah. The boys got back together. We met up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was good to see Scott. And it was just good to see what he orders from a restaurant. It was awesome.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Yeah. Let's hear some things. The one that jumps out is that we had been playing pickleball all. all morning. We didn't really get a good breakfast. We're starving. So we go to like, um, I think the restaurant was called like beer and bread co. Something like that. Yeah. And Scott ordered, I wish you could have seen the waitress's face when he is like, are quick candy drinks for you guys? I, I water as it goes, water. Scott goes, I'm looking at this, can I get the caramel macchiato, uh, mocha espresso martini? And the waitressers was like,
Starting point is 00:06:33 Yeah, sorry, yes. I guess we can do that. Legally, yeah, you can. I think. I think it's late enough in the day. Really? She could not believe it. Martini.
Starting point is 00:06:46 No one had ordered that at noon ever, I guess. Does it come in one of these guys? Yeah, I would say it had a little more curve to it. But yeah, a very tiny stem, little bowl. Amazing. And then a Caesar salad to go with it. Oh yeah, well, that's pairs. That makes sense. Okay. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, man, we had some some good times with Scott.
Starting point is 00:07:11 That's great. Did you know that he's a comedian now? Have you heard about this? No. No. Tell me more. Really? I would have thought maybe he told you about his, like him and Sam's like family friends decided. I don't know if it's for a birthday, whatever, get together. They rented out a comedy club in Kansas City and it's like invited their friends. They told some of their friends like, you have to open, you have to open. You have to open. open, Scott, you have to open, and also we're bringing in, like, an actual comedian, like, in the night. And so Scott only got a heads up about this, maybe, like, two or three weeks ago. And I think he was told to do, like, do between, like, five and ten minutes or something like that. So he called me a couple days beforehand, went over everything.
Starting point is 00:07:50 I gave him a few notes. And anyway, then he called me, you know, later that night, 11 o'clock at night. And I go, hello? And he goes, I'm going on tour, baby. Oh my gosh. Did he break down every single joke with you? He did it. We went through the full set leading up to it. But no, I was asking, like, what was the biggest laugh of the night you got? Biggest surprises. Yeah, he was like, dude, I don't know if I'll ever do that again, but that was so fun. I had so much fun.
Starting point is 00:08:23 It's electric, man. And it was recorded. He sent it to me. I can confirm. They were laughing. It's not just Scott. Okay. I told him, I said, the thing I was impressed with the most is like composure, like just like the public speaking aspect like sometimes people were like kind of yelling at him and like a little loud and you know if like he knew the right people like let's address that or maybe i don't want to address that let's keep going to kind of like simmer them down a little bit good pace to him yes and quite the story they ended with i don't know if you know this about scott i'd never heard the story before this is when he was on his mission in portugal so he is cutting up some jalapinos to help his roommate out they're preparing dinner You get stint with the jalapinos, you know, it's all over his fingers. He doesn't think much of it. You go to sit down on the couch. And what you do as a guy, every now and then you just got to make a little adjustment or whatever.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Sure. Yeah, yeah. Very quickly after that, like Scott's tots are burning. Oh, jalapinos. Halipese. Yeah. And so then he's like going to the sink and trying to splash water on himself. And that's not working.
Starting point is 00:09:30 No, water makes it worse. You got to go milk. Exactly. Exactly. So eventually he goes into the shower, he completely strips down, pours himself a bowl of milk and goes into the shower and basically just like dips himself into the bowl of milk in the shower. And so that was like his closing kind of story. And then he ended with a joke about like that was my first and last bowl of like, you know, honeynuts Cheerios or something like that. That's good, Scotty. Yeah, yeah. Do you think like if there's ever a good enough opener, sorry. I don't understand. I try to turn it down and it doesn't even, whatever.
Starting point is 00:10:09 It like says I can't the, whatever. You think there's ever like, I'm curious. And be as humble as you want to be about this or not. But like, do you, did you ever have the thought was like, I wonder if Trey wishes I was a little bit worse tonight because like, I've, like, because some people like, if that, that's a great ending joke. And I bet that guy's like, like, I don't know. I've seen Nate Bargettsey a few times.
Starting point is 00:10:38 And every time I'm like, those openers are not very good. And it makes the, obviously, it doesn't take away from the main guy if the opener is pretty bad. But if this opener is like, yeah, we got some like random family friend open it up for you. Or sorry, the main guy says that like. And then the opener just kills it with a great joke. You're like, dang it. That was pretty good. Scott, I'll answer question, but Scott did say like the guy that they brought in, he said like
Starting point is 00:11:05 was amazing and hilarious. Scott said he was dying laughing. And I guess that guy he'd kind of been prepped like, hey, we want to book you for a show. There's like 40 Mormons. And I think this guy was like, geez, on a Monday night, this is going to be terrible. And I guess that guy, but she said like, I'm having way more fun than I thought I was going to have like on this night. So Mormons are fun. And the nice thing about Mormons is that a Monday night's the same as a Saturday night to them. Like they're not like, oh, they're letting loose on Saturday. They pregame before they came. You know, it's like, no, we're good.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Like, we're ready to rock. So that's a good point. But no, I think because Trey was always getting laughs. Trey was always successfully performing comedy. You know, maybe some of that would have crept in if like, man, he kind of a, or like, it takes Trey a while to get into it. It's like, no, he can make people laugh right away. And so, you know, if anything, I'm just building momentum.
Starting point is 00:11:57 But yeah, maybe I was asked. to open for someone and I'm feeling pretty good about my set. I'm like, am I going to get the boot if I'm like too funny or like outshining him? Yeah. But you, yeah, Tray, Tray is so boisterous up there. Flamboyant's the wrong word because he's, I guess, flamboyant, but not in that kind of way. You know what I mean? But like, towards like he's going to get laughs with that. So yeah. That's awesome. I need to see that. I need to text Scott and ask him about the clip. Yeah, it's great. He did awesome. Brad, give me three things you need to start every day off right.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Fire, water, air. Exactly. And now what is air made of? Oxygen. And? Nitre. Phosphorus. Exactly. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:45 What are the first three letters of phosphorus? F. Exactly. F-A-U. Phosphorus. Exactly. What is A-U on the periodic table of L. comments.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Gold. That's right. So. Isn't that cool how that connects? The three things you need to have a golden day. Hey, you. You need a golden day?
Starting point is 00:13:18 A, you. Hey, you. You're trying to have, you're trying to start your day off right? Do you need a little more than just fire, water, shelter? Or was it, phosphorus? How about a little Main Street Roasters?
Starting point is 00:13:35 Mm-hmm. Have a golden morning. Start your day off with a cup of coffee and a shower. A golden shower. Because you have Main Street Roasters. Because you just got done drinking Main Street Roasters. Very good. Hey, you!
Starting point is 00:13:54 I'm gonna do that and then you respond with something. Hey, you. Hey, me? Yay, you. This episode is brought to you by Accenture. The only way you're going to do that is by buying it off their website. Oh wait, I might go broke. Starting point is 00:15:06 It's mainstream roasters.com Best beans around Summer beans There ain't no beans like summer beans Boy Yeah people say Hey like your coffee I don't know
Starting point is 00:15:17 Well summer grounds summer beans You say summer beans And people might also say Hey did your son He's getting pretty good at basketball What levels is he playing? Hey you That's a basketball joke
Starting point is 00:15:32 Mastrocer dot com GRKC I think we are ready for our celebrity schmores here. Summer of Celebrity Shmores. I think he's a little bit on time crunch. So I'm going to tell him to go ahead and join. Go ahead and join whenever. Not whoever, whenever.
Starting point is 00:15:54 But yeah, I guess we can keep talking or we can just kind of sit in silence until he comes. Totally your call, dude. Hmm? Hmm? What my call, dude? I'm excited to see who this is. I have no idea. These are all fun surprises. Oh, there we go. Oh, there we go. Yeah. Yeah, boy. Dude. What's up, dude? How are you guys? Great. How are you, man?
Starting point is 00:16:19 I'm good. My parents, when I told him I was coming on, because I'm actually in my childhood bedroom right now. Heck yeah. Things aren't going well at home. I told them, and my mom was like weirdly ecstatic. And I'm like, mom, do you even know what this is? And she's like, No, but you're, she's like, she's like, you're back, Nick. I'm like, what? You're back. You're like, when they leave, mom? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:46 She's like, everything you've done up until this point is irrelevant. We'll take care. Yeah. You're like, I'm a doctor, mom. Yeah. I'm like, mom, I have two beautiful grandchildren. She's like, doesn't. Today you become a man.
Starting point is 00:17:01 Today you've got it. Yeah, buddy. So, so yeah, Nick. Nicholas Butler, aka NAC Baxter, one of the NACBaxter. Do you hear about how there's two NAC Baxter's? We were just talking about this at dinner, and I don't even really remember what happened. Yeah, I do remember that whole thing. Was it like over a year ago?
Starting point is 00:17:22 It was a while back. It was back when Jake was doing food truck stuff, a little bit more than he is now. Yeah. This other guy claiming to be NAC Baxter is like, hey, I manage, operate, repair, restore food trucks on a regular basis. I'd love to help. And I'm thinking, so I guess he does that on the side from doctor stuff. Yeah. He's not busy enough in residency. Cool. Like, how good of a doctor are you if you're doing this on the side? Yeah, they're like, yeah, yeah, I fix the food trucks in the parking lot, you know, I cannot help you with your body, but, you know, yeah, yeah, your motor body I can, yeah,
Starting point is 00:18:03 help you with but um are we live anyway yeah we're live baby well live live but not live yeah we're recording this is all yeah yeah okay got but but but people are not watching it right now so usually our podcast comes out on Mondays and Wednesdays it's called the ghostrunners and so um no I just knew that you had uh you you had you you're like I think I can make it work if we do it from you know for for for this time so I'm like all right let's get it no we're just yeah yeah no this is perfect I'm I was like, yeah, dude, this is so funny because, not to, not to rep my own podcast, that doesn't exist anymore. But, like, this is so much easier than when I was doing it recording with somebody virtually.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Like, there was nothing like this. You know, we had to, I don't know if you guys have to do it, but we had to do the clap thing. You know what I mean? Like, and try to sync everything up and it was just a disaster. This is a cool, this is a cool little, little setup you guys. Yeah. I kind of remember you talking about how, because you had. I'll shout it out just in case anybody wants to listen to tenderly rugged, right?
Starting point is 00:19:05 Yeah, just in case there's some, there's still some real men out there, you know. That's right. But I remember you talking about, by the way. That's so funny. That's like most, I think most people that start podcasts. That's why Jake and I, it's so much easier when we talk about just dumb things. Because, yeah, I did the table setters one for, you know, four. episodes and it was like, I got to, I don't know if I, I mean, I kind of know what I'm talking about
Starting point is 00:19:36 here, but I don't want to like say the wrong thing and leave people, you know, whatever. Because, because I've, I talked with Catherine one time. I was like, it'd be kind of fun to like, not necessarily like do like a weekly podcast with you, but do something like that. She's like, we don't know what we're talking about yet. Like, like we are, our kids are still in the middle of all this. We can't tell people how to, you know, be better parents. We don't know how our kids are going to turn out. Dude, I, I still had two fur babies. I was talking about like the challenges of fatherhood. Like in a tank top in an apartment.
Starting point is 00:20:09 You know, I was like, what about you been doing here? So tender. So ruggled. So tenderly rugged. But I remember you saying. Yeah. I remember you saying that you were like you had to, you were editing like every, um, every like filler word.
Starting point is 00:20:27 Is that true? Oh, like I was actually having a conversation with somebody. the other day, I'm like, if AI was a thing back then, I would have said, I could have like started a new hobby, like, you know, maybe I see you're out saying it right now, you know. It was like I got to the point where I was recognizing the waveform of the ums and the likes and the oh yeah's and just like like slicing them out. That's crazy. That's impressive. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Yeah, you were very. And luckily we do not have to worry about that because we definitely throw a lot of filler words out. there but uh there's a person in your house jake by the way who is yeah who could have someone broke in my house and all they want to do is swim yeah right um okay we got it yeah she's right yeah she's right behind you um okay okay sorry i'm i'm reading uh text uh okay so we're doing schmores we're doing uh schmores of what is it things that take batteries things that take batteries things to take batteries. Things that take batteries. I think there's a great, great time to be in your childhood bedroom because things that take batteries, I mean, yeah, you could probably just look around and be like,
Starting point is 00:21:42 all right, what was in here that took batteries back in the day? Yeah, I think it's like, technically you could go lithium, but I got no lithium on my list. I'm going double A only. Yeah. So he asked, he was like, he said, are these rechargeable batteries too, like things that plug into like a USB port? are we going strict D's C's A's I mean let's for the fun sake
Starting point is 00:22:07 I think we should choose that second option I obviously or at least like hey you can see the battery How about that? Okay scratch off Tesla
Starting point is 00:22:17 Scratch off iPhone Yeah yeah because everything these days has some kind of rechargeable something But I don't know I also don't have that many things on my list
Starting point is 00:22:26 so I might just be throwing stuff up. I'll keep the rest as backups. Okay. Surveillance drones. All right, let me get up. I don't remember if those take double A's or triple A's. Hey, Bo, what's your... These are Cs, crap.
Starting point is 00:22:44 What's your favorite thing? What's your favorite thing that takes batteries, Bo? Bo start us off with a celebrity shot. I don't know. What do you use that needs batteries? My camera. Oh, camera. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:02 He does love his camera. Bo and I just went to Colorado, and he took a lot of cool pictures of stuff on the trails. That is so cool. That was a good one. All right, your camera. I'll go ahead and start. Can I start? Can we just go Brad, Jake, Nack?
Starting point is 00:23:17 Is that all right? I won last one, so I'm going to start. I'm going to say one. Sorry, you're breaking up a little bit. Dang it. Not again. Okay. Can you hear me now?
Starting point is 00:23:27 We're literally. losing him. Oh no. You just got a power through just just nod with confidence. Okay, here's what I'm saying. You got it? I'm just gone it's not me. Dude, if this was happening at my house, it'd be a disaster. Spectrum shuts it off at will. No way. I mean, it's just completely silent now. I mean, it looks like he's talking. Nick, this is this is our podcast now. He's gone. They're saying that my they're saying that my, they're saying that my, my, I think Boe opened the door and so it changed the lighting
Starting point is 00:24:01 but it really just looks like Brad's skin is like really red and he's just like really mad now. Can you shut the door real quick, Bo? You think opening the door would like bring the Wi-Fi in a little bit. Yeah. What the, Bo, are you wearing a giant lead suit
Starting point is 00:24:15 or anything that would block Wi-Fi signals? Yeah. All right, let me turn. How much 5G have you consumed to be honest? Can you hear me better now? This is great. Is there, can you hear me?
Starting point is 00:24:27 We can hear you. I turned off my video you can hear me better it's still it's like 20% this is unfortunate okay hello
Starting point is 00:24:41 can you hear me at all just not really mumbles here and there cut all this out yeah no no we're not no we're not tell no
Starting point is 00:24:52 we don't cut out anything I needed a bathroom break bad Jake, the last time I saw you or the only time I saw you, I think I mentioned this before. We, uh, it was the day before like lockdown at Tray Show. Was it really? So like the very first show. Like, like, it was like the next day like it all went down.
Starting point is 00:25:15 I remember we were at Chick-fil-A right after the show and we were like, Tip and I were looking at each other. And we were like, this was probably going to be one of the last times we like get out. And yeah, it got like everything went down like the next day. And I was like, well, there goes, Jake. You just watched the clear die, you know. You were at the Louisville show. Yeah, yeah, it was fun. Because that was the, yeah, that was the night when while we were on stage, everything
Starting point is 00:25:42 happened. Yeah, I think it was our second show. Early March, yeah. Yep, yeah, it was like March 11th. Because I think we'd done one show and it doesn't matter. We got one under our belt. And then during the second show, I think is like when it all happened. Yeah, that must have been so frustrating.
Starting point is 00:25:57 like for you guys to go through all that. In hindsight, it's a little bit like you with like the podcast where like, okay, we went back and we just like rewrote everything. We performed a little comedy clubs. And then eight months later we'd go out and like restart the tour. And it was kind of like, dude, thank God. We were about to do a nationwide tour. We'd only done four shows ever.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Like what were we thinking? Right. Yeah. No, yeah. Blessing in disguise. And obviously it worked out for you guys. Worked out for you guys very well. But yeah, dude, that Louisville.
Starting point is 00:26:27 show. Like, that was such a funny moment that I do, I talk about that show as a joke now in my set. I'll talk about, you know, I say like my first night ever doing comedy. And I get back to the green room and it was amazing. And Trey looks at his phone and hey, he's back. Technology is so dumb, dude. Hey, it looks. It sounds great now. Yeah, of course it does. And I didn't do anything. He lost weight since we saw you. It looks amazing, dude. He looks amazing. Hey, Bowie He said, hey
Starting point is 00:27:01 You say hi I remember when you were born You don't know me But He said he remembers when you were born Is that crazy And now you're six Wild
Starting point is 00:27:12 That's crazy All right Before I lose you guys again I'm going walkie-talkies Number one pick Dang It's on my list Things that take batteries
Starting point is 00:27:22 Waki-Tockies baby We love our walkie-talkies And our family Don't we? Absolutely Dang. I actually was really excited to say that. I didn't think anyone would take it. Well, I did. It sound amazing. Yeah. Double A is probably. All right. Mine, this is the one I thought of immediately.
Starting point is 00:27:39 I couldn't get out of my head. A. Game Boy. That felt like 90% of the reason we even had AA batteries in the house is because I constantly needed new batteries in my Game Boy. Good answer. Good answer. What was your game of choice? I had like just like classic Tetris. I remember playing that a ton. There was a version of King Griffey Jr. baseball on Game Boy that I played a lot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Okay. Did not know that. I didn't know that. Nat, I saw you scratching something off. Was that on your list as well? So my, uh,
Starting point is 00:28:16 or my cousin's husband who I just met for the first time, he mentioned Game Boy when we were talking about at dinner. And I was like, ah, I don't know. And now that we're only doing, now that we're doing, strict rules, I just really miss an opportunity.
Starting point is 00:28:31 I was actually writing never again on if you must know, you know. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Yeah, yeah. All right, you get to do two of them. I get to do two. Oh, right. Okay. This one, so I think this one still counts.
Starting point is 00:28:50 And this is kind of a, this is a little bit of a maybe low-hanging fruit. but I was going to say like medical devices, like pacemakers, like pacemakers, anything that requires you to have a battery replaced because you can't like obviously plug it in, you know? So if those batteries go out, you die, right? Wow. One upper. I've never had one, you know, always wanted to. But it's, yeah, that would be like top for me. Is this things that we have to use personally?
Starting point is 00:29:24 Because if not, I, I. I'm going to like an idiot. Okay, okay. I think just like sheer appreciation. How does it work though? How does it work then? Oh, sorry, sorry, pacemaker. Yeah, it keeps your heart going.
Starting point is 00:29:35 You know, if you're right, but like if it needs batteries, does the battery just last longer than your life? So, so I don't know. It depends on the model and I don't put pacemakers in. So I'm sorry to any interventional cardiologists or electrophysiologists out there. We have one of those. Sorry, sorry, yeah. To that large swath of the audience.
Starting point is 00:29:55 But, you know, they have to go in and, you know, you'll get warnings fairly, like, far in advance. And then they'll plan to put in a new battery, like in the operating room, I think is where they usually do it. Okay. So they really do. They go back in. Oh, yeah, you'll die if, or, well, maybe not die, but, you know, you need new batteries on those things, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:18 So I think C batteries, I don't know. Yeah. That would make sense why they're always, that is one of those things, like, if you have a pacemaker, like at the airport. Like that is always getting brought up, right? Because of the bad. Yeah, you're cooked to do. Okay, good one.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Okay, pacemakers. And what's your, what's your second one? You get too. Okay. Tiff came up, my wife Tiffany came up with this one, smoke detectors. Oh, I put those at like my least favorite items with batteries. Well, I think, like you said, appreciation,
Starting point is 00:30:49 you know, I'm going to end up like timing with the horses on this. I'm sorry. I saw my future earlier today and I was like, I was like, I'm going to be the new horse guy. Dude, I love smoke detectors. They're awesome. The way I've never needed them, but they beep, I mean, three times a year and there's nothing you can do about it.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Oh, my gosh. Yeah, it's real. If you ever do need them, though, you're going to appreciate the batteries. So those are kind of my boring ones. And if we have any interval cardiologist and people who need smoke detectors, I'm sorry. Firefighters. Yeah. I like it.
Starting point is 00:31:27 No, that's good. I didn't have put it on my list, but I thought about it. How about that? So bad answer, but good answer, I guess.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Okay. But Tiffany said it, so therefore it's a good answer. Respect the wife. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good job, Tiff. Way of a Tiff.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Another one that I used probably just as much as the Game Boy later in life was the portable DVD player. Oh, wow. That sucker. that was like uh that was a luxury i did not we could not afford i'll say that you know and if it if it was i don't think i would imagine the batteries just get sucked on those bad boys oh yeah you spend way more batteries than you do the portable tv player yeah yeah that's fun though those things were sweet yes so good um good answer all right my next one do you want to say it for me you want to say my
Starting point is 00:32:18 next one? Yeah. All right. Remote control cars. Remote control cars, baby. That's right. We, I mean, what's better than a remote control car? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Like, it's one of the more fun toys. Yeah. I don't know if there's any remote control car enthusiasts here. I'm going to nothing, but. And then, listen, I don't know. Exactly what we defined as the category. But things that take batteries, my next thing is not just remote control cars,
Starting point is 00:32:57 but just cars in general. Cars are awesome. Cars take batteries. Like a car battery? Yeah. I was hoping that it was just any kind of thing that we could, any kind of battery that we could see. And I have seen,
Starting point is 00:33:11 I know what a car battery is. Okay. You know, I don't know what a, if you said, hey, point to the iPhone battery, I would not know how to do it. You know what I mean? It's somewhere. But cars are awesome.
Starting point is 00:33:23 You're saying like a gas car battery. Correct. You want to exclude like the electric batteries. We can't do electric batteries. We can't see them. I don't know where they're at. Well, yeah, show me, show me one. They're in the club.
Starting point is 00:33:36 No one's ever seen it. It's all here. It's in theory. Starlink. They send it down. I think. That makes sense. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:43 It's all 5G. Oh, show them, show them. Oh, yeah. Show and tell. Oh, we have that exact same one, Bowie. that's really cool. He has that too. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Spider-Man, Spider-Man remote control car. Let's be specific. No one take it. All right, Jake, your next one. All right. This one I have a lot of nostalgia for it, because I don't think I used it a ton,
Starting point is 00:34:08 but I specifically remember using this to read the Left Behind series for kids back in the day, and that is a book light. Oh, yeah. I don't know why I just didn't turn a lamp on, but I mean, a couple AAAs, and you're set for months reading a book with a booklight.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Great answer. Mr. Jake just said a booklight, Beau. We love booklights in our family. All right. I got both of them. Yeah, big time. We all have our own booklights. Some of them nowadays, believe it or not, are rechargeable batteries.
Starting point is 00:34:36 But we still, believe it or not, with Catherine Ellis in the house, we still buy some that have AAA batteries for sure. That's great. Yeah. Good answer. That's great. Love me a good book light. I think just anything where it's like a like a, like a, minimal light at night is awesome.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Like a same with like a headlamp. Just great. So all right. Did we lose knack? Uh-oh. Childhood bedroom. Not all that's cracked up to be. That's right.
Starting point is 00:35:05 Oh, he completely, he got mad. He's gone. This is something I said. All right. Hey, Shawnee Kansas,
Starting point is 00:35:14 if you can hear me, let me clap once. I heard that clap. If you can hear me, clap two times. If you can hear me. If you can hear me, clap four times. Should I do five?
Starting point is 00:35:40 I'm just kidding. If you can hear me right now, if your voice is out there, if you got us in your headphones, if you got us on your car speaker, if you're listening to this somewhere that has a roof or has some ears or has a bed or just is somewhere that needs to have a nice thing, then you need to hear us talk about cozy earth. Cozy Earth makes the coziest lounge for a t-shirts, towels, bed sheets that money can buy. That's right. And if this message only impacts one person, then it was all worth it.
Starting point is 00:36:19 Amen, brother. So if that's you out there, let me hear you clap one time. With every head bowed and every eye closed, let me hear you clap two times. For some reason, don't know what to do with your hands afterwards. Cozier's the best, guys. I don't know how many more times I got to scream it at you. I don't know how many more times
Starting point is 00:36:46 we're going to clap, but just trust us. Cozurest the best. Go to cozier.com slash ghostrunners, 20% off, GRKC, the best. Is that best? Okay. About this. Not as easy as it looks, is it NAC.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Sorry, sorry, all right? Huh? Okay. I'm going to say, man, mine are so boring compares to yours. No, pacemaker's super exciting. dude come on come on smoke detector it detects smoke okay wait wait let's try to guess what
Starting point is 00:37:23 his next thing is he's like I might mine so boring I'm gonna say I don't know night vision goggles and I'm gonna tell you why okay great answer that was cool yeah okay okay night vision goggles, I've never personally used them. I've never known anybody who's used them, but from what I know, they've won us a lot of wars. By a lot, I mean like maybe two, you know, or they at least give it us an edge, you know. They were pretty important in zero dark 30. Very important in zero dark 30. Really cool in Call of Duty modern warfare, uh, the remake. So yeah, at least one movie and one video game. Couldn't have done it without them. Situations.
Starting point is 00:38:10 They rock it in our country. Yeah. Yeah. I think Night Vision goggles, I think for our spec ops audience, they'd have to agree with me. And I think I'll get their vote on that one. I have not going to apologize either.
Starting point is 00:38:25 I have tried. I've used NightVision goggles one time, and it was nuts. Yes. Did you use the ones that have like the four tubes or like the two tubes or the one tube? I think it was four. I think if that's if I understand what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:38:40 It was this guy that used to be like a can you hear me? Yeah, yeah, sorry. Sorry. I don't know. I'm so self-conscious now. It was this guy that used to be in the Secret Service and like was it like, uh, was it like not the border patrol, but whatever like national security.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Anyway, he was a cool dude and he's like, I have some night vision calls. You want to try him? I was like, yeah, sure do. So shout to Jordan. Anyway, sweet. It was sick. Pretty cool technology. I don't have any idea how we're able to see at night,
Starting point is 00:39:14 and that's the beauty of it. Right. I know. I think it's just basically takes the wavelength and like amplifies it that normally would, like, it takes all the like very faint wavelengths and like amplifies it. That's why everything kind of looks monotone greenish. I like to be clear. Just to be clear, you had, you had night vision goggles on your list and you're like,
Starting point is 00:39:36 I think smoke detectors might be my next pick here. I said, yeah, I was, yeah, that was a blunder on my part. I like to apologize to the audience. That's on TIF. That's not you. It's my parents who I've clearly let down. Okay, you get one last pick, right? Oh, yeah, it's right.
Starting point is 00:39:58 Yeah. Shoot. Okay, I'm going to say personal nostalgia, air soft guns. Oh really? Those took batteries. Like the electric ones. Yeah. Like there was some of like the spring loaded ones or you had like Akam each time, you know, but most of them took batteries and they were like they were like they were rechargeable but they were kind of like in a I don't know if you guys ever played with them but they were in like a almost like a case that you would have to like recharge like any other battery but you would stick them in.
Starting point is 00:40:38 So it very much felt like a removable battery. But when you guys when you got those. things on full blast it was pain city yeah like at the start really really good battery yeah okay two thousand rounds a second you know interesting okay yeah he came hard with those last two ones yeah he's like i'm not first few were tender last two are rugged uh so hard to make a comeback my last one um really got to be for the fellows here I would assume is going to be the N64 Rumble Pack. Dude?
Starting point is 00:41:17 I had that on my list, dude. Great answer, man. Oh, great answer. This was like the first sensation of its kind for me. It's like I never knew what vibration felt like until I went over to like Devin Jones's house and he had a rumble pack. And I was like, whoa, whoa, almost fell out of my hands.
Starting point is 00:41:38 What did it do? It plugged into the top of the N64 controller and it just like what we're used to now in modern controllers just a little bit of haptic feedback or vibration like normally in it's 64 which is plastic yeah it was like its own little like i don't know like ink cartridge you shove it in there and then it would rumble at the right times that is so cool yeah that probably came out before i mean when did that come out like like late late desert storm somewhere on there i remember and i'm not trying i'm not trying to be like the uh you know back in my day kind of guy but it felt like those rumbles were a little
Starting point is 00:42:13 little harder than the rumbles these days, don't you think? Oh, dude. What are you comparing to? My hands are so soft compared to your guys. I just, I just think nowadays, they're like, let's go a little easier on the, you know, the hits on the rumbles. Back then it was like, you, you let you put it down on the table. It would fall off the table if you, if you, like, let it rumble a few times.
Starting point is 00:42:36 You're saying like the modern, like a PS5 controller. Yeah, I don't, I, I'm not a up to date on my controllers, but like, Yeah, the last time I played like Xbox 1 or something. Yeah. Yeah, it was back when men were men, clearly. Rubble packs used to really rumble the soul. He's filling your spine. Yeah, you had to have calluses to play in 64, the rumble pack.
Starting point is 00:42:58 You play Sarg's heroes with some rumble pack. What, are you learning guitar? No, I've been using a rumble pack, dude, the old one. Just got a mad cats. Just Donkey Kong. Oh, that's a good answer. all right um i don't know i was i was ideally going to put these in order uh for my so so my picks were going to be so my next pick is remote controls i just love remote controls
Starting point is 00:43:26 like a tv remote remote boat just said you already said that i didn't say that but i said but i said remote control cars good remark bow i was going to say remote controls and i was going to say cars and i was going to say remote control cars it was going to be a theme but i was worried you were going to take my cars pick so I had to go out of work. Remote controls. Just the greatest thing. One of my favorite things in the world is being able to change things on my TV without having to get up and change it physically.
Starting point is 00:43:57 It's one of the greatest luxuries you can have is to be able to flip channels and go between different football games without having to worry about, okay, I got to get up and do this now. I got to actually put some physical movement into this. No, it's a little thing called remote control. It's awesome. I think I briefly touched on this in last week's episode, but our new rental,
Starting point is 00:44:19 they went a little overboard with this, and every light switch, everything is on a remote. I have one right here. It's just way too many buttons. Most of them are a little wonky, and maybe you would love it here, Brad, but I feel like it's too many remotes.
Starting point is 00:44:32 And maybe I'm specifically thinking of a TV remote, but I'll own all remote controls if I need to, if I have to. I love remote starts on cars. I love remote, like unlocking and locking of cars. You know, I love the key fob stuff. But the one I was specifically thinking of was the TV remote. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:49 Because that was the remote. Like when you, as a kid, you said, can you, where's the remote? It's, you weren't talking about the fan remotes. It was. Yes. Nowadays, you're right. We have remotes for rechargeable light bulbs. And it's like, I don't need one for that.
Starting point is 00:45:03 Yeah. Oh, that's the dimmer. Well, that's for the sound bar. That's the TV. Nope. Just, I want one remote. I want to be easy to use. I wanted to have a really solid previous channel button.
Starting point is 00:45:14 That's all I care about. And I want to, yeah, be fast. So I use my phone for my remote, but I will say that like when the Wi-Fi goes out or like something's up at the phone, like it doesn't connect anymore. Like it needs like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. So that's when I wish like the remote was by
Starting point is 00:45:32 because I mean it's old faithful, you know. Yes. Yeah. And there's something about physical buttons, man. I don't know. I don't want to be that guy either, but, you know, rumble packs and physical buttons. We need them. We need them in our lives. You would not like a Tesla, dude. I don't. No, I was kidding. I hate them.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Did you guys grow up in families that called them clickers? No. Did you really? I knew you would. I grew up in Ohio, dude. Middle East, dude. That's Ohio for you, man. Clickers.
Starting point is 00:46:07 We can get my dad in here right now. Yeah, Clicker. Yeah, no. His dad called it too. He's like, where is the clicker? Yeah. And you're like, I don't know. We can't turn on the fan then.
Starting point is 00:46:20 I don't know. We can't go to bed. Yeah. Yeah, I remember hearing that. I would go to her friend's houses who lived in Ohio and they would call it that. And that was very odd to me. A lot of weird Ohio, Ohio things. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:33 Clickers. I feel like we call, what do we call pop? Is it pop or soda that we, I've lived in multiple states. I feel like I have gotten it wrong, but I feel like we say it weird. I think it's pop. What's your thing? Hear that? It's your money calling.
Starting point is 00:46:52 It wants a promotion. Elevate your savings with the Scotia high interest savings account. Always earn high regular interest rates that grow the more you save and invest. Conditions apply. Visit scotiabank.com slash hisa to learn more. Scotia Bank. You're richer than you think. I say pop, but I've really just decided. I've just decided I'm not going to generically call it
Starting point is 00:47:19 anything anymore. I'm just going to say, I want a Dr. Pepper now. Like I, I, I'm not, I'm not talking enough about like, like, where's the aisle for this? So I'm just going to say, hey, I would like to go get a case of Dr. Pepper's now. Yeah. I think that specificity, that's biblical manhood. And that's good. And Nick, you should put that on your podcast. That's New Testament, boy. Specific. All right. So I think that is all of them. I don't have very many honorable mentions. One of the ones I did say was flashlights,
Starting point is 00:47:50 which is kind of what you said, Jake. And then I also said fans. I think those like many fans, like, let's say you're at a parade. I feel like it's always hot at a parade. And those fans are awesome with the little sprayer on there. And maybe it has a spray gun. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Yep. Those are nice. Those are nice. You all have any more. Actually, all of my honorable mentions were better. Carbon monoxide. detectors, air pollution.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Don't forget about radon. Radon. Back up, some pumps. I was going to say thermostat. Those are usually, that's even worse. Power tools.
Starting point is 00:48:37 Power tools good. I thought about power tools. I said your kid's favorite toy, which is a little bit too generic. I wouldn't know. given that to me. Beard trimmers, laser tag guns.
Starting point is 00:48:51 Yeah. I'm trying to think of something. There was something else I was going to think. What, like, back in the day took, like, I feel like there were a few different toys that took, like, six D batteries that went out in a day, you know? Yeah. Like, I feel like laser tag stuff was one of them.
Starting point is 00:49:09 A keyboard. I feel like I have a memory of that taking some massive batteries, potentially. It's just like, somehow they made these things so inefficient. Flashlights were huge batteries a lot of times. Like there were those massive ones that like you throw in there and they kind of bounce around in there.
Starting point is 00:49:25 Thing, ding, ding. What are you doing? What else? I'm trying to think of other ones. Remote controlled trucks. Oh, motorized like construction sets.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Battery powered robots. Large talking dolls slash animals. What about what about like those like, what do they call them? Big wheels. That what they were called? Like the remote, like the actual cars
Starting point is 00:49:52 that kids could drive. Hey, hey. Oh, yeah. Go. Go. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:49:58 something like that. Yeah, you'd have to take out a small mortgage for those batteries. Right. It's like single-handedly destroying the ozone layer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:10 The only honorable mention that I had written down, I was actually already planning on making a joke where I say I do have something on my list of, least favorite things that could take batteries. And I was going to say smoke detector.
Starting point is 00:50:22 And you beat me to it with your first drop pick. Guys, I'm coming out the gate hot. Smoke detector. That's all I got for all mentions. Dude, we're currently renovating a house. I feel like all these things are like incredibly at the front of my mind. Yeah. Like a video doorbell was one I almost put in.
Starting point is 00:50:43 That's not right. I don't hate that one. I don't hate that one. Oh, that's funny. that's funny. Yeah, I had radio too. That was the other one. I think my kids understand that they need to be quiet while I'm recording.
Starting point is 00:50:54 I'm sorry. Okay, Nack, anything else you want to tell us? Any favorite ghosty memories from you? Any tenderly rugged advice you want to give people? Dude, well, I just want to say thank you. I've been waiting seven years for this opportunity. And God works a mysterious way. It was kind of like always be prepared, you know?
Starting point is 00:51:19 Yeah. Like a thief in the night, dude. Yep. You don't have to get ready if you stay ready. Dude, you got to stay strapped or get, you know, like, yeah, no, great ghosty memories. I remember being really, I've talked to Brad a little bit about this. I've been really early in medical school. We had moved to a new place we didn't know out of Ohio in Louisville, Kentucky.
Starting point is 00:51:41 And I found this podcast through Trey when Jake was on it. And I just started listening to it, loving it. I'm like, oh, I felt like I had friends, like, you know, outside of, you know, I felt like I had a new small community. Yeah. When I was out of my typical community. So, yeah, that was really cool. And I remember we did that, we did that year, or 100th episode one thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:10 I remember being on like surgery rotation just like hating my life and like I'm like I'm going to do something good. I'm going to make a difference. I'm trying to think what else. Those are great. There's been some there's been some. I think honestly one of the cool things is is watching like everybody's like kids grow up. I'm like dang like I had like looking where you were when you go like back in episodes and being like yes I remember what I was doing on that day or like. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:40 You know, like I was a totally different person in episode 50 versus episode 300. And it's cool to watch just, you know, people's lives change. Like, Jake wasn't even close to getting married. I was still trying to set him up with, like, cousins. And, you know. Set me up while he's in a tank top at his apartment. Like, I got a few people for him. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:05 Bring out the new list. So, yeah. No. Ghostrunners is a representative. and is a little microcosm of life of normal people doing extraordinary things. You can take that to the end. That's good. That's a good word.
Starting point is 00:53:17 If you take that to the cardiologist. Hopefully that made up for my horrible smorgas. No, I don't think it was horrible. I think you might. I don't know who's going to win. I think there was some good answers from everybody here. I don't know. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:53:30 Can I say one of the thing that I was hoping to make on the podcast and never did? No. Totally aside. What if we just said no? Of course you can. No, thank you. Have a great time. So did I tell you guys, I saw Time and filming near my work?
Starting point is 00:53:45 Maybe you told me this. So I work in like Amish country, like in the middle of nowhere. And I'm driving to work one day. This was back when Tyman was doing his film stuff. Okay. Like last July or whatever? Last July. That was good.
Starting point is 00:53:59 I was brand new started. And I see all these Amish people in front of this church, right? I'm like, it's very common to see Amish people where I work. Great. But they all have, there's like cameras everywhere and movie studio equipment. You're like, how does this? I'm like, they're not allowed to do that. So, you know, I'm about to pull over and start screaming, you know.
Starting point is 00:54:21 Citizens arrest. And I, yeah, citizens arrest all of them. And, yeah, and it was timing, like, out of all the places he was filming, like, right next to my work. Like, dude, was that you? You have your gun drawn and you're like, put it back down. Hey, Tyman. Just like lower it. he just takes the barrel
Starting point is 00:54:41 that Michael Jackson mean that would be a wild that's a little fun a fun aside that I never got never got yeah that is that's amazing
Starting point is 00:54:50 oh my gosh like just like being like that that's timing what the heck I don't know that just be a wild you know out of the out of the tons of
Starting point is 00:54:59 you know Amish produced movies and in series coming out you know I just happened to be in the one it was it was incredible I told me if you ever need
Starting point is 00:55:08 an extra I'll do anything. I'll drop anything out going on. I was just to put in a guy's battering his pacemaker and I'll come to this. Anything. They'll be fine. But no, thank you guys for having me on.
Starting point is 00:55:20 I really appreciate it. Hopefully it made for good, good, uh, entertainment. This is great, thanks for being flexible and, um,
Starting point is 00:55:28 yeah, it was really good to see you and talk to you, man. Yeah. Any, any, anytime, guys. I'll,
Starting point is 00:55:33 uh, I'll, uh, I'll do better next time. No, stop it. Okay. It's not you.
Starting point is 00:55:37 One last question. It's tip. One last question here. Madeline Mills. She didn't say this is for Nack Baxter, but we'll ask. Because I feel like you have random things that you know about that you've told me about in the past of Mike. Okay, cool, cool suggestion. She asks, she's asked us that question.
Starting point is 00:55:54 She had, when you need a good laugh, who or what do you go to, a person show or podcast? Obviously beyond us, you know, but like what do you, do you have some kind of place or like a, yeah, you understand the question. I will say When I need a good loft I go to one of my best friends Frank down the street Oh yeah Because him and I just like
Starting point is 00:56:17 Do you have a buddy I mean you I mean What am I saying? Like do you have a buddy you riff with I mean You know what I mean And every time like I haven't seen him for a while Like today I like saw him
Starting point is 00:56:26 And by a while I mean like a few days And I like see him And I just like take a big sign like Oh it's good to riff again You know Like it's good to be fresh share again so yeah yeah i'll listen to or yeah i'll tell you friends and then like i i go through phases of listening to podcasts like theo bond always always gets me he was commenting they had a side
Starting point is 00:56:49 commentary for him he was commentating ufc last night as its own like separate broadcast which is pretty funny okay but yeah i like a i like a good comedian you know every now and then uh you know just to get the juices flown absolutely make the riff better just make the riff better dude yeah Yeah, you got to stay on point. That's good. What would you say, Jake? What's your go-to? Oh, probably, I don't know if I find myself being like, I need to laugh.
Starting point is 00:57:20 I haven't had it. Yeah, I don't know if that's like a sensation I've ever felt necessarily before, but I would probably go to like, probably like a funny podcast Instagram. Like I would like, let's see the best of the best. Let's see the hits. Let's see like some clips that have gone viral. you know give me give me give me some andrew santino some theo vaughan you know something like that i will say instagram i have it off my phone like i redownload it like when when tiff and i are
Starting point is 00:57:49 like just together we'll have real night you know every like few months and the algorithm has been like you know building it up ready for the big presentation and and i say i'd be like babe are you ready and we'll do it. And it'll just be like, you know, like you said, Theo Vaughn, it'll be,
Starting point is 00:58:08 you know, Trump edits. And lately it's been figuring me a lot of beaver, beaver motivational content. Shout out beaver edits. Motivational beavers? This I'm about it's similar with.
Starting point is 00:58:19 They're the hardest working animal out there. And I'll stand on that. And I'll find anybody who says otherwise. It's just like, beavers with like Michael Jordan, like quotes in the background. It's pretty awesome. Oh,
Starting point is 00:58:30 I see. see it's like to like showcase the hardworking nature of a beaver that's funny yeah kind of into that actually yeah so yeah a good a good instagram real facebook is out of control out of control i agree tick talk is just trying to hurt us and uh that's the trump edit coming out right there youtube's like kind of in the middle okay i like i like the idea of real night i like the idea It's like, it's like, hey, ice cream every day is not good for you, but ice cream, you know, every once in a while is awesome. It's so fun to indulge.
Starting point is 00:59:08 It's like, let's indulge in some Instagram. It's actually really fun because, like, I felt when I had it on my phone, you know, I'd just be kind of like chuckling, you know, but it's just too much stimulation. But when you kind of like let it build up and you kind of go through, or if you go through your buddies, 100 reels that they've sent you over the last few months, you're like, they really care, you know. It does feel like that's true. Like if you give it a little time,
Starting point is 00:59:34 the algorithm will build up. Like it'll like up the reservoir for you. You know, there's like a whole like strategy room of like we've got one chance to get them to read download. He's got to stay. Throw everything you got out. So good.
Starting point is 00:59:52 For the bees. So good. I love it, man. Well, yeah, thanks for being awesome. friend and fan and just yeah being cool thanks for doing doctor stuff too i guess i'm sure you're helping people i don't know yeah maybe everyone's while uh we'll have a good night tell your mom i say hi not like not in like a whatever way just in like uh hey yeah yeah how's your mom yeah yeah all right guys all right bro love you all right see you guys but see you dude all right last but not
Starting point is 01:00:21 least it's good ranchers time g rkc is the promo code at good ranchers dot com if you're interested in meat. Who isn't? Hey, Bo, you like meat? He nods. It's an audio podcast, Beau. If you like meat, then good ranchers is a place to go. If you're a grill guy, raise your hand if you're a grill guy.
Starting point is 01:00:42 Yep. Raise your hand if you're, if you've ever eaten something out of a stove on the kitchen. In the kitchen. Raise your hand if you've ever baked anything in the oven or eating anything in the oven. I thought Bo was raised his hand. raise your hand if you got a cool bike helmet that you're putting on um hey uh we love good ranchers they they they represent everything that is right uh in in uh business in america they also represent um or they also have a great product that they bring to the table all right like that's
Starting point is 01:01:19 ultimately yeah it's awesome when the business is great but if you don't really love what they are selling then you're not going to buy their stuff right you might buy it once yeah they have a good value you know, you get great meat for the price, for the convenience, for the time that you save, not having to go to the grocery store. You're going to get a free protein add-on. You're going to get money saved. You're going to get faster shipping. If you use our promo code, just ask you to try
Starting point is 01:01:54 it once if you've never tried it. That's a good, good prompt. And, I'll leave it there. So good ranchers.com. It's American Meat delivered. GRKC is our promo code for a discount and an ad on. You're going to love it. Good night. Oh, how's my audio?
Starting point is 01:02:10 How's my, how's that, have I been any better? Yeah, yeah, you're good. Really? Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:15 I'm just, I'm worried, man. I don't like, I don't like feeling this way. That's all right. The ghosties will get the full experience. It's just me and Nick. I hope so.
Starting point is 01:02:25 And you're right. You're probably right. But I hope. I just, until I know for sure, I'm scared. Is that fair? Well, this happened last week and it ended up fine. It did. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Yeah, okay, okay, okay, okay. I just got a power through. And I know you good enough to kind of connect the dots. You know, this is a good test of like compatibility. Like Brad's just saying a bunch of stuff, but he's already said it once. He's just saying it a different way. He's just embellishing on that a little bit differently. I could riff off that.
Starting point is 01:02:50 I got it. That's good. Real quick, can I hit you with some highlights from my trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan? I'm so sorry. Yes, you may, please. First of all, we made an effort to see the Bondi truck and to see some ghosties. And even though they'd already planned for a Saturday hang, it was like, some things changed for us.
Starting point is 01:03:09 We're flying out Saturday morning. And so they moved things around, got to meet so many ghosties and got to see the truck. Yeah. Which is really fun to see it in a new location. It was great. It was funny, like even seeing like decor that I had bought and never got out of the box. Like, oh yeah, there was those pink umbrellas and the pink outdoor chairs. That's nice.
Starting point is 01:03:28 somebody's getting to use them. And so we go up there, me, Scott and Isaac, and they're like, what can I get for you? And I was like, the first thing you can get is, don't you dare give us a discount or anything? We were here to support you. And boy, did we. We ran up a bill that was like $75 worth,
Starting point is 01:03:44 and then we tip 20% on top of it. So we did our part. I was like, do you guys have martinis here? What can we? Can I see a dessert menu? It's like, no. Dude, we went to a Colorado, pliables, I think is what it was called in Denver.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Playa bowls is nice. Catherine's like, it'll be good, it'll be fast. Like, it's healthy for us. Like, all the kids will love it. And I was like, yeah, they better love it. It was $98 for all of us or whatever. It was crazy. It was something wild like that.
Starting point is 01:04:13 I mean, I was like, eat every bite of this. Like, I mean, because each kid, I mean, yeah, whatever, it's like 15 bucks each. So I'd say, I believe that you rung it up. But worth it. Yeah. It was great. Great to have some Bondi Grinola again.
Starting point is 01:04:29 So it was fun. We get done kind of hanging there. It's like 8.30, 9 o'clock. Oh, this is something. Michigan. Eastern time zone, question mark. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:39 Eastern time zone is wild, dude. Don't throw it out to anybody. We weren't educated enough on who's Eastern time zone. Yeah. Half of Indiana. What? Indianapolis? Is that Eastern?
Starting point is 01:04:51 I don't know. They probably like half of it's in, half of it's out probably. Eastern Time Zone, to me, feels like a different personality that shouldn't belong to Indiana and Michigan. Does that make sense? That's kind of a field. I'm like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:04 You're one of us. Come on. Go kid yourself. Like is Alabama Central? Yes. See, I don't like that either. We'll take Michigan, we'll give them Alabama. Doesn't it feel like Alabama should be like Eastern? Oh, you're on the coast.
Starting point is 01:05:21 Yeah. That's East. Yeah, Big Ten, Central Times are. SEC. Maybe that's what it is. Yeah. There's something about it. It's like, no, you're not us.
Starting point is 01:05:32 And Michigan is us. Michigan, you're one of us. Come on. Hey, Wisconsin's central time zone, right? Yeah. One of us. Wisconsin and Michigan are the same thing to people that aren't from those places,
Starting point is 01:05:42 which people that are not going to like, I said that. Yeah. If you have Culver is your central time zone. Yeah. Yes, dude. That's, yes. I fired up about that.
Starting point is 01:05:54 You don't have cheese curds in the Eastern time zone. dude. You don't. You don't. Gosh, good answer. Anyway, I say all that because we get done to eating. We're hanging out. It's like 9.30 at night. And they're like, all right. So we've got some plans. We can go over here to like Brooks spot. But do you guys want to see the lake since we're close? And they're all kind of like 50-50 on it. And I'm like, yeah, let's go ahead and see the lake. It's which road over there. And it's unbelievable. The lake is basically the ocean. It's Lake Michigan. It's a beautiful white sand beach. There's a pier. There's like these amazing, like,
Starting point is 01:06:26 mansions that got an American flag. So it's awesome. And one of the greatest sunset I've ever seen. And it's 945, I couldn't get over this. I was like, this is a sign you're in the wrong time zone. It's daylight at 955. You're insane. They're one of those. Yeah. Yeah. Nice try. Nice try. But it was awesome. I've heard, I've heard unbelievable things about Lake Michigan. Yeah. And they were all so just like back and forward. Like do you want to see the lake? We can also just head to the blueberry liner if you want. You've seen a great lake probably, right? I always seen eerie, but. Yeah, we were freaking out.
Starting point is 01:06:59 Like, this is awesome. And so it's like, you know, me, Scott and Isaac, and then, you know, a good amount of ghost he's there. And we walk to the end of the pier and we're kind of talking. And I see this guy, like, he looks familiar. And he looks like pickleball familiar. I think, I don't know where I recognize this guy, but I don't know.
Starting point is 01:07:15 I haven't talked to him in the last couple days. I know he's not here for that. Anyway, he eventually comes up to me and he goes, how do you guys get all these women following you around? And I was like, well, there was a couple guys, I'm like pointing it like, you know, like thunder and lightning right here, buddy. Scott and Isaac Brace and he goes, no, I know, I know those guys. And I was like, oh, like, pickleball. And then I'm having to explain to them, these people are not here for pickleball.
Starting point is 01:07:41 But yeah, that was an interesting walk back with him. But it was all awesome. But then we go to Brooke Boverhoff's, like, property. Her family has like a blueberry farm And they figured out how to make wine out of blueberries Because they have the surplus of blueberries And honestly like anyone who grows blueberries in America Are probably throwing them away
Starting point is 01:08:04 Because you just there's only so much you can do And anyway, she's gonna be a whole rounddown I was obsessed with her whole business I mean I treated her like she was on Shark Tank She's probably getting annoyed like all right Stop with the business questions Wait I'm I'm They just throw away good blueberries
Starting point is 01:08:17 I think because any like buyer of blueberries They can get blueberries cheaper all the way from Chile and like other places. So like American blueberry farms can't sell their blueberries cheap enough for it to make sense. Wow, dude. That'll preach, you know. So come on America. Thankfully, the Boverhoffs found a way to like take advantage of these like, you know, thousand pounds of blueberries every year that they're growing.
Starting point is 01:08:41 So they figured out how to make blueberry wine. And so we all go there. Awesome place. You know, kind of it's just there's string lights. There's a bonfire. It looks like a awesome. wedding venue slash farm. And Brooks's like giving everyone kind of like,
Starting point is 01:08:55 and if you want wine samples come up here, and so I'm talking to some ghosties. And apparently Scott had joined in on the wine sampling. I'm unaware of all this, but then when we get done, we kind of go through a little tour. And as I'm asking questions about the barrels and the vats and whatever, I just see Scott kind of looking at me like this.
Starting point is 01:09:21 Oh no. just like kind of moving slow and kind of like really trying to focus and like really just like lock in on like being present and and Isaac is just giggling. Isaac is giggling so hard. I'm like, oh no, I think I know what's happening. And it was so great. And then Brooke, it's just like barely know Scott and it's just outwardly making fun of him. You know, Scott, how are you feeling this way? I gave you six thimbles worth. And just some of the word thimble. Like, yes, they were like communion-sized samples.
Starting point is 01:09:57 I think he had eight of them, to be fair. I'll defend your honor. He had eight fumbles. There's eight of them. A girl brought stuff for schmores and, um, smores. And Scott's like, toss me some of those marshmallows. Hey, soak this up. He's just slain on marshmallows, trying to soak up the wine. And then, you know, about 30 minutes later, he goes, all right, I was never that buzzed. I was feeling just a little zany. like still eight thumbles dude oh my gosh he was great but um really fun time with the ghosties everyone was great did you try some wine uh she had me try one she was like this is the ones we give to like girls who just turned 21 basically i was like yeah it tastes it great pretty sweet yeah yeah
Starting point is 01:10:40 yeah that's fun i'm so curious what blueberry like how it would differ from like i don't know what part of the wine is just wine and what part is the grape flavor to me because that's the only kind of ever had. Yeah. Is like white and red. I know nothing. Yeah. But I liked the thimble I had. And it was all great. Typical ghosty fashion. There was one girl there who just straight up doesn't listen, you know. So that's always the thing. There's always at least one. I go to those people like heat seeking missiles, man. I'm like, let's talk. Let's let's let's become friends. Yeah, that's great. Yeah. That's great. That was a good time. And then just a couple other things.
Starting point is 01:11:21 Oh, I guess I'll shout out by name. Tanglewood. Shout out Tanglewood out in Zeeland, Michigan. Okay. Old or new? Zealand. I was like it's Grant. It's not new.
Starting point is 01:11:38 You go to the rapids? Scott landed before we did, and he did Texas. You know that dumb and dumber quote where they take a wrong turn. They're driving through like Kansas. He's like, figure the Rocky Mountains be a little rocky. He was like, yeah. We can't find a single rapid that John Denver is full of it. no rapids in this whole town um but the other thing was um i tried to book us an Airbnb that's always
Starting point is 01:12:01 fun when going these trips i think grand rapids has some law where you can't i mean it was so hard to find Airbnb so i just did hotel and even hotel was hard to find so wasn't the nicest hotel it was close to the airport it was fine in the most part the hotel yeah you did see that yeah was fine it's just a run-of-the-mill three-star hotel i don't know when they clean your room. I'll tell you, it's not Wednesday through Saturday. It must be the other days when they come and give you a maid service. But the best part was for whatever reason, every elevator ride we took. I mean, we're batting, we're about an 800 with just the most fascinating, sketchy, terrifying people sharing these elevators rides with. I mean, one guy was hammered at 11 a.m.
Starting point is 01:12:48 and was on a weird path about to start talking about some racial issues, and we turned the other way. Another guy was like, we're like, cool phone case. He goes, yeah, this is the 30, 30K at KW phone case. I'm like, what's 30K mean? He goes, I could take 30,000 puffs out of this thing. And then just like vapes out of his phone case. Like, oh, right on, dude. And then, you're like in a scene from a TV show or something. Oh, yeah. I was like, and then there was another elevator ride where, the door opened or like halfway down. The door opens
Starting point is 01:13:23 that someone had like wanted a ride on and the door opens and it's like one of the more terrifying women I've ever seen. It's like this 6-4 white woman with face tattoos everywhere, dyed hair. Anywhere there's not tattoos,
Starting point is 01:13:36 it's like, I don't know, like face scars and like wrinkles even though she's not that old. And yeah, she's like 6-4, got a little dog with her. And she sees us, it's only three of us and a decent-sized elevator.
Starting point is 01:13:48 And she goes, goes, oh, doesn't look like there's room. I'll just catch the next one. And they, the guys made fun of me because I guess at this point, I was a little too eager to say, I guess it's like, okay. And then I just like, press the elevator, close doors button. See ya. Yeah. I didn't even like recognize it. But Isaac couldn't see the woman. So he's like, dude, there was definitely room in here. Yeah, they were all making fun of me. Okay. Okay. That's, oh yeah, it's crammed. It's crammed. that's that's so funny like I think of Michigan and I think of like the sweet Midwestern state but then I think of Detroit and I think of like like I used to hear like bad things about Detroit
Starting point is 01:14:29 but like I just think that that's not going to bleed into any other aspect of Michigan except for Detroit yeah but I'm sure that makes sense that there's going to be rough areas outside of that if you're still in the same state I guess you know what I mean like yeah I like the idea of like like you're like yeah it was a is a three star it was a fairly cheap hotel uh the name of it was halfway house and so uh i don't know it was like it was like it was like see i guess it was like half off whatever other prices you know for places would be yeah or it wasn't three star there was like a three star general or whatever like guarding it i don't know yeah maybe you feel safe really secure in there yeah um i don't know if there's like a like a sewing community there or what
Starting point is 01:15:14 but there's all these like, it said put, use needles here, which I thought that was considerate. I guess, you know, like kind of like a little library of sorts, but for needles. Take some, put some. Yeah. Give some, take some. When I told, I have a friend up there, Noah, and I was like, hey, we'd love to get breakfast with you. He's like, I'll come pick you up. Are you staying?
Starting point is 01:15:37 And he was like, geez, dude. He was like, I'm pretty sure that is like, like a human traffic. like they do sting operations in that area. I was like, oh. Well, it's pretty convenient. It's close to the indoor pickleball facility in the airport. I think, I think you need to hire somebody for a minimal amount of money to do whatever,
Starting point is 01:15:57 like to hire people for this. Like, it feels like you have enough of a track record now of like, maybe you should just find somebody else to do this. This was, I'll take some blame for this. I also tried after Airbnb didn't work. I went to hotels.com and I put in exactly what I want.
Starting point is 01:16:13 These dates, three rooms. And it'll say, oh, how about this one? And I say good. And then I type in all my information, all of our names, credit card info, book. And then it says, oh, we have no availability. It's like, why did you show me that room? And after I did that three times, I was like, screw it. I'm doing the first one I can.
Starting point is 01:16:30 You were just like, I just need a win here. Yeah, it's 12.30 at night. I shouldn't have procrastinated on this in the first place, but I'm ready to go to bed. That's fair. Okay. Fair enough. Fair enough. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:40 gave us some type two fun, baby. we had a blast in there. 100%. And I think only other note, they kept flying a banner, you know, like people who like hire an airplane to like do advertising
Starting point is 01:16:53 around the pickleball event all weekend. They kept flying a banner called Spritz Delcante, which I'm guessing is some sort of, you know, alcoholic, seltzer or something like that. Who knows? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:06 But that became Scott's name and alter ego the entire weekend. My name is Delcante. Scritz Delcante. Come here, Spritz. Come on. So that's where we named his, like, Cuban character from that Miami Vice video. It's like, we need to bring Spritz back into some videos soon.
Starting point is 01:17:25 Hey, Spritz del Conte. Hey, there I make a bad deal. Spritz. Shut the out of their door, Spritz. Yeah. That's amazing. Spritz del Conte. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:36 Yeah, I'm into it. Whatever it's, let me look at what. Whatever it is, the man, they were flying it around. It's an authentic Let's see Authentic ready to serve Italian aperitivo Don't do that
Starting point is 01:17:50 Don't don't Don't call it an aperitivo Like we're supposed to know that Blends premium bubbly white wine aromatic Aromatic Erbs and zesty bitter orange
Starting point is 01:18:01 Or lemon Sprits de Conte That's amazing That's amazing I love it And then seriously One last thing I just remember
Starting point is 01:18:10 That there was a guy in the elevator who had a giant house arrest like thing over his ankle. My gosh. How did you get here with that on? Or do you have to be here at the hotel? I don't know. I watched,
Starting point is 01:18:25 we don't have Netflix at home and we had Netflix at this condo that we stayed in Colorado. And I watched this show like truly mediocre, but it was on Netflix. And I was like, I don't hate these. These are, whatever.
Starting point is 01:18:39 Like you could watch them. know, one episode at a time, true crime documentary, uh, it's like worst neighbor ever. You see those? Or worst roommate ever. I watched like five of them.
Starting point is 01:18:49 So I was like, I don't know. These are, these are good enough. Like they weren't like, oh my gosh, you got to watch these. But there was multiple times where like,
Starting point is 01:18:55 yeah, they were hanging out and I noticed this guy had a ankle bracelet on. I was like, like, like multiple different episodes said things like this. And I'm like, I've never once seen somebody with ankle bracelet on in my entire life. And these people kind of acted like,
Starting point is 01:19:08 yeah, I saw that one of his friends had an ankle bracelet on, but I didn't think that much of it. I was like, I would run away. I would call my mom if I had to and say, mom, please come get me. There's a guy with an ankle bracelet on. Yeah, it's like, I guess I don't technically know what a house arrest bracelet looks like. But I know what, I don't know, it was just a heavy duty black ankle it with a giant like, you know, battery pack attached to it. It's like, what else could that be other than tracking you and 100% that's what it is. They're not ankle weights. Thank you. Yeah, just on one. Yeah. Oh, that's, that's quite a few different things in the same hotel. Yeah, it was like everything else was for the most part, fine. It was just the elevator rides. I mean, every time you're rolling the dice with, yeah, like Russia's toughest prisons or something. I love it, dude. But yeah, I love it. Great to see Scott. We had some good times. Yeah, I bet. I invite Scott on the pheasant hunt this year. And he said, can't. But I was, I was hopeful. He's like,
Starting point is 01:20:10 I'm gone too much for pickleball. I said, fine. We don't do anything in November. He'll be fine. I know. Except for Black Friday and the World Championships. Well, easy. I mean, you can work remote for that.
Starting point is 01:20:27 Shoot a couple of birds in between. I don't have too much more written down here. Oh, one, like, kind of, well, two things. Henry updates. first of all, just one of the worst things that could ever happen to a parent is when your child can officially get out of their crib. And so, not truly, but like, it's no fun
Starting point is 01:20:51 because, yeah, now all of a sudden, you know, usually it was like, oh, Henry would wake up and you kind of play around in there, you know, have, like, okay, I guess we should probably go get Henry up now. Breakfast is ready, so let's get them. And now all of a sudden, it's just like, we never know when our day's about to start. Because here comes, here comes old Hank,
Starting point is 01:21:09 just walking down the, walking down the hallway or whatever. So he's just a, he's a wild child right now. But he's also getting really, really, like, learning that he's funny and, like, learning how to, like, really lean into it. But his latest thing is instead of saying, I think he's always kind of said, yeah, but he says it with like, he says it with like this, like, attitude almost. It'll be like, yeah, yeah. Like, and it's just so funny.
Starting point is 01:21:38 Like all like Henry you want some grapefruit? Yeah. Haddy. Yeah. Come here real quick. Can you come impersonate how Henry says yeah? Um, let me think. Yeah?
Starting point is 01:21:53 No, you think that's how he doesn't? Wait, no, that's how Rosie does it. Yeah. It's like, it's kind of more like, yeah. Yeah. I think that's pretty good. Okay. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:22:03 I don't remember. I know. It's kind of, it's kind of, I remember his apple. Oh yeah, that's the other thing he's doing lately. You want to do that? He just goes. Apple. All the time.
Starting point is 01:22:17 Just walks around. Why not? Apple. By the way, Bo and Rosie aren't allowed to talk to you. By the way, Bo and Rosie aren't allowed to talk to me. Yeah, I texted Mom and said, can't tell Rosie I can't talk to her right now. That's funny. I was playing with a two-year-old yesterday.
Starting point is 01:22:31 And he really enjoyed saying the number, just the word, 14 to me over and over. 14? 14. 41 is big right now. Yeah. Yeah. Henry also does know 6-7, and he'll say it every once in a while. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:47 It's ridiculous. Yeah. Six-seven. Yeah. I'm pretty sure Emily Brace was just telling me that their son has started getting out his grip and they, like, can't figure out why. And the problems that come with that. It's kind of amazing to watch them physically do it, though.
Starting point is 01:23:02 Like, because, I mean, imagine, I mean, he's got the same body type as me. And like, imagine me trying to get out of like, like, imagine, imagine me standing face to face with a six foot fence and being like, I got to swing my leg around this thing and get out of it. Like, get around it. Like, that's kind of what it is. It's like this fence or like this, this crib that's almost as tall as him. And he's like swinging himself around just like hoisting himself and then falling down. I mean, it's kind of amazing thing. I like those Instagram reels that are like a night vision baby monitor thing, showing a baby getting out of stuff. It's kind of like watching ants carry things 20 times or size. You go, how much? is this possible. Truly, truly. So, anyway, yeah, that's kind of the latest, though.
Starting point is 01:23:45 Henry's fun, I mean, the kids were all really fun on the trip. I mean, we had plenty of tears with plenty of fun times, but. That's kids for it. I'm watching Bo crying right now, so I don't know what's going on with him, but it's just that time of night, I guess, but who knows? Need somebody to wipe him with a snack. The Hulu original series Furious is coming to Disney Plus, Starring Emmy Rossum, Furious follows FBI agent Alice Black
Starting point is 01:24:11 on the hunt for a mysterious and calculating serial killer. Both walk their own paths toward justice, and as their lives start to intertwine, the line between right and wrong begins to blur. Don't miss the three-episode premiere of the Hulu original series Furious on July 27th, only on Hulu on Disney Plus. Boy, I'm about to wipe you with the snack if you don't call me. down.
Starting point is 01:24:39 Anyway. For my comment of the week, this could lead us down a fun little conversation just because it's so many people commenting there are things
Starting point is 01:24:47 that feel embarrassing that aren't. I don't if you've looked in this on Spotify, but Sarah said having to correct your parking job because you didn't get it right the first time.
Starting point is 01:24:57 That's like the most updated one. Something that feels embarrassing that shouldn't is getting the free coffee at the bank that you do your banking at. Like I said, not being able to peel your orange because you clipped your fingernails and you have to ask your mom if she can do it for you. I mean, that is embarrassing.
Starting point is 01:25:16 Asking your mom to do almost anything for you is embarrassing. Trying to dodge someone who is coming toward you, but you both move in the same direction and then have to do an awkward little dance for you and keep walking. That's a good one. Only getting one thing at a grocery store. It's funny. That's funny. I loved yours that like shopping and, ending up with actually nothing.
Starting point is 01:25:37 Yes. That is so good. You feel like a, a felon. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:25:47 That's what, the one thing at a grocery store is also kind of, if you, if you have to check out with that one thing, it's embarrassing. Yeah. I went recently, Catherine gave me a hard time,
Starting point is 01:25:57 but I think it's something you would have done, Jake. Well, no offense. Maybe you're smarter than I am. So maybe, maybe I shouldn't say that this, you would have done this as well.
Starting point is 01:26:05 She wanted me to get, cilantro. First of all, do you know where cilantro would be found? I mean, surely, probably you could find it in a grocery store, right? I mean, not my first try, but I would get close. I mean, I just... Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know the proximity, of course.
Starting point is 01:26:17 So they have, like, it's like one of those areas that, like, they have a mister on it, you know? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And so they come in bundles. And so I just took a bundle of cilantro and I just took it up to the cash register and put it down on the, like, conveyor belt. And Catherine goes, you didn't put that in a bag? And it didn't even occur to me until she said that. And then, of course, I was like, yeah, I'm supposed to put it in a bag. But I just thought like, we're good.
Starting point is 01:26:43 Here you go. No, I think they clean these conveyor belts between every customer. Yeah, exactly. It's disgusting. And so literally, I bought one thing. It was like, you know, 79 cents worth of cilantro. And I just put it there on this conveyor belt. One cilantro.
Starting point is 01:26:54 That's all I have. Just this. Like, you didn't get a bag for that? And so I then took it out of the store, just in my hand, put it in, my truck and then just drove home with his salanto, just hanging out with me. Dude, that's the opposite. That's the things that are embarrassing, but you don't realize. But I don't care. Yeah. Not bagging my groceries. Yeah, ignorance. Ignorance makes it not embarrassing, I guess. But anyway, yeah, those are fun. Squeezing by people to get to the airplane bathroom.
Starting point is 01:27:26 That's a pretty good one. My comment of the week, I think Braden Parsons could get my comment in the week almost every single week. But he said, just had to apologize to time in a voicemail because Brad, through S-I-R-I, called him on my phone. That's pretty funny. Because I said, hey, call time and I'msh. And it did it. Last week's episode, you said, hey, Siri, call time and MSH?
Starting point is 01:27:53 Yeah. Huh. And then I said, hey, Siri, call mom. Well, I could see why that would happen to Braden. That's a unique issue. That's funny. Yeah. Hey, Siri, call ex-boyfriend.
Starting point is 01:28:14 You got a win of the week? Well, actually, you already gave you a receipt. Yeah, fun hike with Bo, super host. I was a win. I mean, the whole trip, though, was just so fun. I mean, the Colorado as a whole was awesome. one of the week. And it was a surprise to the kids that we were meeting their cousins there.
Starting point is 01:28:35 And so they had no idea. So that was a huge win, really fun. Rachel always says the best kind of surprises are human surprises. That's good. That's true. Best of everything. I mean, God created the heavens and the earth is good. But then he created humans. This is very good. I just feel like out of all the things in the world, like mountains are amazing. I love being in Colorado. But it's like sometimes the mountains can be beautiful and I'm still like staring at my kids. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like just humans are just the best. I can't riff with a river. You can't dude. Yeah, exactly. Go to Frank for a joke, not a babbling brook. Not as a Purple Mountain Majesty. That's right.
Starting point is 01:29:18 My one of the week, I think I tease this. It's going to come out this Friday. But my dad got to make a video with Kyle. I'm not even in it. I just got to kind of write it, direct it. It's fun. It ended up kind of not being a parent-teacher conference. But, it was really fun. I think the video's gonna turn out great. My dad was very thrown off that we don't do these all on one take. Wow. Okay. That messed them a little bit because I thought it would be easier.
Starting point is 01:29:44 Like, no, we don't even have to memorize your lines. Just like, I will feed them to you one at a time. Like we did gene shorts for three years or whatever. And he just wanted to keep going. And then I'd have him do it again. He's like, we already did it. And I'm like, yeah, but, you know, what if, you know. Yeah, what if we, what if we,
Starting point is 01:30:01 Yeah, that's great. But no, I mean, he does the heavy lifting in the video. Like he's the goober and the goofball and Kyle just kind of normal. And then there's one tiny scene where he does the like deal with Isaac in a back alley. And so we dressed Isaac up in a wife beater in the Homer Simpson shorts, one last time. Brought him back. Yeah. We got sprits and what's, what's Isaac's nickname or, you know?
Starting point is 01:30:22 Yeah, probably just like Badger Pinkman. Yeah, something like that. What was I going to say? Oh, just a PSA to any newer ghost? out there or old ghosties that haven't seen this. One of the better videos on the internet is Jake's dad and Jake made this video where Jake pretended to be sleeping. Or maybe you were sleeping.
Starting point is 01:30:43 I don't know. Who knows? But he just like talked about how Jake needed like a girlfriend or a wife. Yeah. And it's amazing. So if you, I don't know how to quickly like it's on your YouTube channel. Probably not. It's probably just on like my Facebook.
Starting point is 01:30:58 Like one of my earliest videos on Facebook, which I'm who knows what. else you're going to find over there. Yeah, exactly. Find that and then and then go down the list of all the other things you can find. But it's truly perfect comedy. Like, it's just so funny the way that your dad's slow plays things so well. I think that's what's so funny about him is like he never feels like he's in a hurry to like get the joke out, you know? So anyway, shout out, Steve. Well, see if he can go two for two. See if the people love them this week. I know the ghosties. I told him, I said, you know the ghosties are going to love you. That's all it matters.
Starting point is 01:31:30 Oh, no doubt. doubt the ghosties are the best so i'm gonna love it steve don't worry no one of the week uh one of the week thanks ghosties uh come to ghostie get away come on come here real quick come here this dude this dude come here big boy you want to say hi to mr jake big boy just look at the wow you say hi hey hey did you have a snack yeah yeah what did you eat what did you eat What? String cheese. That should be an interpretation.
Starting point is 01:32:11 Let's see if we can get Mr. Jake to say something. Let's see. What do you have for lunch? What do you have for lunch? Tadda. Okay, Rosie, cheater. I didn't even hear it. Inchalada.
Starting point is 01:32:26 Oh, wow. Tadda. What do you want to tell him, Mr. J? Juana? Yeah. Yeah. Moana. Moana.
Starting point is 01:32:40 Why Moana? Moana. Are you say Moana? Hey-he. Hey-ha and Moana. Yeah. Hey-ha and Moana. Hey-ha-ha.
Starting point is 01:32:50 Hey-ha-Mawada. Yeah, okay. All right, big tank. Henry, any time, only with me when I put his pajamas on, he'll say no shirt, no shirt. Catherine's like, he never requests that for me. Me, no time. Yeah, you know shirt, I know. Do you like shirts?
Starting point is 01:33:06 No. You like going without a shirt? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:33:15 All right. Do you have anything else you want to say to Mr. Jake? Rosie. Okay. Yeah. All right. Ghosties, we love you. We'll see us.
Starting point is 01:33:26 You'll say to Mr. J. Please come. Yeah, please come. Please say hi to Mr. Jake. With us. Come on. Say hi to Mr. Jake. Hi.
Starting point is 01:33:35 Hi. Hi. All right. You want to say anything else? No. No. All right. Sounds good. All right.
Starting point is 01:33:45 We got to go. We got to go eat some dinner, don't we? Yeah. What's for dinner, Rosie? It's a lot of my dinner, but I'm eating in. Yeah. So, uh, uh, so, uh, so, uh, so, uh, so, for my dinner. For your what?
Starting point is 01:34:02 Lester. Breakfast. Yeah. We did tell them, if they don't eat enchiladas for lunch, then you're eating them for dinner. If you don't eat them for dinner, then you don't eat them for dinner. eating for breakfast. Incholas are getting eaten. You're eating the enchiladas.
Starting point is 01:34:14 You can't just say I'm not eating this. All right. It's getting crazy in here. The Ghosties, we love you. Thank you for listening. Have a great week. See a Monday. Ghosts from Spockdown.
