Starting point is 00:00:00 We talked about this on Monday's episode, but yeah, I got a stand-up show tomorrow night. And I think for the most part, it's only 10 minutes. I'm just going to do the greatest hits. Why not? Okay. But just yesterday at the gym while working out, two things did pop into my head. It was like, if I was a comedian these days, just we might have a little material here. Just, yeah, two different things within like 50 minutes of each other.
Starting point is 00:00:22 One, have we talked about this before in the podcast? It feels like something I think you have, like, observed before. But you leave somewhere and they say be safe. Yes. And it's like they know something that you don't. Yeah, it's a southern thing, dude. It's like we've talked about it, but I wanted to bring it up again. Yeah, why do you think so many of like the serial killers are from the south?
Starting point is 00:00:43 It's because people are like, be safe. And it's like, dang, that's real down there. Yeah. Yeah. It was just like the middle of the day. It's sunny outside. It's great. Okay.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Hey, thank you, man. Have a good one. Be safe. Be safe. Me? Yeah. How soon? When is it going to happen?
Starting point is 00:00:59 That's what I want to say. Like, what do you know and how long do I have? Be sick. Yeah. Who have you been talking to? Yeah. All right. You have a good one.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Okay. Don't turn on a red today. Yeah, right. What? Yeah. Check your brakes. Okay. Blind spots bigger than you think.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Have a good one. Missfires happen every day. Be safe. So there was that. And then. You know, we've been working out with his personal trainer. So he's like very much getting to know us and everything with each, you know, session.
Starting point is 00:01:37 And yesterday it came up that he's like, okay, Kyle, you played division one basketball? And he goes, yeah, but you know, Jake played a little college basketball himself. And he's like, women's team. And the guy's like, seriously? I was like, yeah, I was on the women's team. And then if I get clicked, I was like, why have I never done any material that I played four years of a women's sport in college? and maybe you shouldn't say you were on the women's team. I think it should be like a reveal.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Like I talk about my college basketball experience. Okay. And then eventually talk about how, I don't know what the reveal would be. It was great being allowed into the locker room since they were all lesbians. It's like, oh, wait, were you on? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:18 What kind of team are you on? Wait a second. Those are, so you're not going to use those. I don't think so. It feels too risky. I got invited to do a guest set. Let's hit him with the good stuff. That's fair.
Starting point is 00:02:29 I think, yeah. But then again, what's the worst that can happen? You know? Think about it. I don't think I'll do the women's team. Maybe the be safe thing, but no, I think for the most part, I've got plenty of stuff. And a couple of rewrites.
Starting point is 00:02:48 It's kind of fun. Like you don't look at your material for a while and you go back and reread your notes. You go, oh, I'd change a few things. I think I can make that funnier. So we'll see. But let me try. Let me try to guess some greatest hits, may I? Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:59 You may. Something about that bit, I honestly, I don't know why I decided to do this because I don't remember any of your jokes, really. That's okay, too. I mean, one of the ones that I like a lot that you're not going to do is the Kennedy in Dallas one. Yeah, can't do that. Doesn't make sense.
Starting point is 00:03:18 What's it? Stanley. So you could do Stanley Mugs. Stanley? You make fun of Stanley Mugs. It's all good. Yeah. So, isn't there?
Starting point is 00:03:26 one about Rachel drive you you and Rachel driving yeah yeah not a great there is that one probably won't make the greatest hits but there is maybe the one about like I just I grew up or I was born in the wrong year you like that one you know what that's not that's not a bad idea okay I could maybe throw that in there that one's pretty quick people love yeah oh you're gonna do uh you're gonna do mother's breast milk no I don't even remember that one oh the acquired taste one oh yeah isn't that what you Isn't that was wasn't that like the punchline? This is impressive. You're remembering all the things from like my first tour rather than the most recent one.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Probably because those are the ones that I've seen multiple times. You saw those way more. Yeah. What about the bidet? That's going to be the closer. Okay. Yeah. Every kiss begins with K.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Didn't you have something with that? That was the first one too, wasn't it? Yeah, I think that was like my first time trying that bit about trying to find Rachel's engagement ring. That was like one of the jokes. and then didn't make the cut. You call Rachel a dog at some point? Like you refer to her as dog. Is that fair?
Starting point is 00:04:35 That was in the podcast last week. I understand that, but I thought you also did it for the standout. I understand that. You never did that. You never called her like a compared her to a golden retriever on the podcast or a stand-up. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Give me some. Maybe I did. I don't know. Give me hints. Give me hints. It sounds like you're so much more familiar with the first set, but most of this is all from the second set, second tour.
Starting point is 00:05:03 I think maybe I've only seen the second tour at one time in Kansas City, though. That's the issue. And you never did a stand-up or a special of that one, did you? Filmed it and everything, just haven't posted it yet. Have you edited it? Timon's got it like 80% of the way he edited, and then he left for Ohio, so I was like,
Starting point is 00:05:23 ah, we'll get to it later. Have it by the end of the week. Got it. So see if you could finish this. It's going to, I used to do this for Trey, but who's excited to see Andrew tonight? Awesome. I'm sure a lot of you thought this would be the point when you would be seeing him, but you can't.
Starting point is 00:05:43 If you don't do that, da, da, da, da, da, da. Is that one ringing any bells? You can't. No. You said something about Trader Joe's one time? I said some about Trader Joe's one time. Was that the first one as well? When you open up, you're like,
Starting point is 00:05:57 This looks more like a Trader Joe's than it does a comedy show or something like that. Yeah, based on like all the women that were in the audience. Yeah, to show that one around. I think I haven't seen your set twice. I saw it in Hawaii and I saw it in Kansas City. Does the same set? Yeah, probably. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:14 But yeah, just you can't board the free cruise until you sit through the timeshare presentation. So I just compare myself to like a quick time share. That's perfect. Yeah. That's like a, that's not a 10 out of 10, like hilarious joke, but that's a good enough. that's like universally funny to like prime the pump a little bit you know and i'm very big on like initially like humbling myself like recognizing that i'm the opener there is someone better than me coming later i'm just the opener this is you know whatever i think it's like self deprecating and
Starting point is 00:06:43 you know perfect way to win people over early yes so i'm going to do that obviously where it's going to be some what's just a classic classic character shelter kid yeah okay yeah gonna have some of that in there um French kissing? No, actually. Not going to do that. I am going to talk about, I think before I get into sheltered stuff, I somewhat rewrote this joke. I'm going to say how I grew up in, you know, a farm town of Missouri, one stoplight town. Yeah, the kind of town that had one stoplight, one Democrat.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Yes. That gets a little laugh. And then I used to say they are up to two now, black people. But I thought about rewriting it. So I say, yeah, one stoplight, one Democrat. My wife is from a zero stoplight town in Iowa, which means they have zero black people. I feel like that's going to be slightly funnier. You're expecting to say, you know, Democrats.
Starting point is 00:07:37 And then based on how that joke goes, then I could like throw in some tags about how we just move to Phoenix. And every time Rachel sees a black person, she's just like, that's why you got to put on sunscreen. Not enough sunscreen. I told you. They are not taking melanoma seriously. Yeah. That's funny. Yeah, do some local stuff.
Starting point is 00:08:00 People always love that, right? I think I probably will, especially like right off the bat. Hey, I just moved here. I moved to Gilbert. Where are my gilbs at? You know, like who else be from? What do we need to know? That'd be kind of fun to play with.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Yes, absolutely. That's a good crowd work thing. Yeah, what do we need to know? Like, yeah, that's fun. Okay. Love it, dude. Anyway, so, So yeah, should be fun.
Starting point is 00:08:25 And be safe, man. Be safe. Be safe, Ghosties. Let's have a great week. Uh, uh-oh. Ooh, I think this type beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts and white meat too. Midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat. So come along.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Let's have some fun and go ahead. Get on your feet because it's a ghost from a podcast. All right. I promise myself this. I'm going to say at the beginning of the show, Ghostie Getaway, it's coming up in just a couple weeks. And we want people to come. We have some open spots.
Starting point is 00:09:10 Transparently, I'm ready to hook some people up. If it's like, hey, we can't quite afford it, but we want to come, holler, because we'd love for you to come. So I'm not going to let you go for a dollar, but I'm going to let you go for a discount, potentially. If that's what it takes, if that's what your life situation's looking like, in whatever way because just more fun
Starting point is 00:09:31 and more people. We have multiple rooms open for I think both session two and three. And if you guys don't know, the Ghostwheres Getaway is just a party of a time. We have so much fun. Every year we're going to the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. We have a private beach house literally on the beach.
Starting point is 00:09:49 You walk out. We have it all set up for you. We have private chefs. We pay for everything once you get there. It's just a blast of a time. So please consider coming. ghostrenters. Live slash travel. All right. Jake, you have anything you want to add? I would add that this is a retail rebel situation. So we're going to, we're going to create a whole new
Starting point is 00:10:10 website. You guys can bid. And then you just got to come pick it up. Pick it up in Gulf Shores. Pick it up. Yeah, that's good. We're selling an autograph picture of Jake, but in order to get it, you have to come to Gold Shores. Yeah. And you have to bid on that autograph picture. You have to sleep in the same house as us for three and a half days. that's right I talked to Ortencia on the phone on the way to Jensen's bachelor party it got me all pumped up she's the best great he's our private chef she like people come it's like it's like people they come for Jake and Brad they stay for Ortoncia you know what I mean like once you once we once once you get to know all the ghosties once you get to know all the people that are there besides us it's like yeah I mean
Starting point is 00:10:52 Jake and Brad are cool but like let's we don't even need them anymore like this is so much fun without them. So we've we've just trust us. We're ready to move on to our insia. It was so cool in Michigan. Yeah last week all these ghosties hanging out as friends just without us like that's so cool. Well I guess you're there but it's happening this Saturday in Phoenix it's like I'm invited but regardless like 25 ghosties are getting together at a pickleball place in Phoenix to hang out. I love that dude I love it so I think about telling them all I'll be there and then just kind of like ghosting them. That's why we call it that. Yeah. I think it'd be hilarious. No I'm going to
Starting point is 00:11:26 It would be fun. Yeah, send them a cryptic message saying you should come to Ghostrunners Get Away and then I'll hang out with you, but only when you pay me. I'm going there just to make Ghosturners Getaway sales. I'm going there just to close. I'm going to be pretty annoying about it. You should. You'd be like, yeah, this is cool, but I wish there was a beach. I'm going to send the link to our special guests and we'll just see when he or she plops in here.
Starting point is 00:11:50 Perfect. I have some, I have two takes that I would like their opinion on, so I'm going to wait on them. That's good. Yeah, I think we should do a little preamble with the guest. Oh, preamble. Preamble like, oh, just like with him, like talking, them. Or her. Sorry, Isaac.
Starting point is 00:12:07 He, him. I did write down to my notes from this weekend in Louisville. I said, you know you're getting old when you worry about being off your food rhythm for a weekend. Like, I don't think I had fruit or vegetable for a couple days. And I just was like, I don't feel quite right, man. and before it was like, I don't even notice that stuff. Like, my whole life was off rhythm, you know? That's a good side of maturity.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Like, you're aware that it's been two days without a vegetable and like these other, just like very adult rhythms are being disrupted. Or even just like, I'm having a little bit of a hard time with my water intake. And that's kind of a struggle right now, you know? Like, it's like, I need to get back, dude. Had way too many sunflower seeds. This is getting rough. So, uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:12:52 Anyway, yeah, I don't know. It's just a little bit of a tough time. I felt that way. I remember in Playola, it was like all these like rice crispy treats and muffins and stuff. I was like, not quite right here. I don't know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:13:05 We'd love a bell pepper right now. They said downloading app now. Oh, sure. Do they need it? They need the app? I thought it would just, you know, just just a website or something. In the meantime,
Starting point is 00:13:21 fun little life update. May, win of the week real quick, I got my first recliner. It's awesome. Big time, big ball of brand. What do we got? I only, that's my only place. I don't know what it is where it came from. Rachel picked it out without me when her mom was in town.
Starting point is 00:13:37 It showed up. She said, if you put this chair together, it's awesome. I've never really had my own recliner before. We talk in cloth, we talking leather, we talking electronic, we talking, boom, one of those guys. Thank you for the question. How far back are we reclining this? bad boy more than enough um go flat yeah i think pretty close to flat it's like a bc seat um this is cloth this is electric you know so you have to plug it in you can charge your phone and it's
Starting point is 00:14:06 like electric kind of reclining and seating um and we got some swive to it as well dude swivel's nice swivel's pretty nice i think swivel's a little underrated first when i got swiveles i was like we got it for Haddy's room like back in the day. I don't know why. It's nice to have a chair that swivels, I guess, when you have a baby. And it was like, yeah, I guess we can have a swivel. And now all of a sudden it's like, we need more swivels in our life. Especially when you're like, because the one that we have swivels now in the living room.
Starting point is 00:14:37 And we're able to like swivel and talk somebody in the kitchen. Swivel, reprimand a kid that's, you know, hanging on the mantle. Swivel, hey, you know, yes, I would like pepper on my eggs. Swivel. I love this scene in bluey. Yes. Swivel. Get that on your mouth.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Swivel. There's your socks right there. I see them. Swivel. Yeah, I'll take more coffee. Main Street Roasters presented by. All that. You get it.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Swivel. There he is. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Ghosties worldwide. What's up, dude? How are you? What up, y'all?
Starting point is 00:15:17 I'm good, bro. You look great, man. You lost mad ways at that last scene. Mad way, dude. Come on now. I need you more often, bro. I, that's actually, thank you. That's kind of you, because I think I've gained some of it back.
Starting point is 00:15:31 So I need, I need some compliments. You put it in the work, man. I'm trying to get like you, bro. Put me on, man. Hey, we need to get in a group chat. We'll keep each other accountable. Say less, bro. I'm in a workout group chat with my friends and we work out like four or five times a week,
Starting point is 00:15:45 even on tour. And it's kind of like, 75 hard, like the, as far as like the discipline of it. Like, so for example, if you're like, yo, I'm going to work out four days a week and then you don't send evidence that you worked out, you're kicked out of the group chat until you're kicked out. You do the necessary steps to get back into it. Dang.
Starting point is 00:16:08 So if you, so you're in an accountability group and if you don't do it, they no longer hold you accountable. They just cut you out. Yeah, so the thing is, it's like you can be welcome back into the group after a month of absence, or you can speed your way back by doing seven days straight of working out. And you'll get welcome back into the group chat. So, okay, first of all, have you ever gotten kicked out? No, I'm actually the only one in the group that has not gotten kicked out yet.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Let's go. Okay, second of all, what lengths did you go to? like how awkward of a place or a situation did you work out in or late at night or anything like that? Like has it ever been like, oh, I did not plan this day well enough. Yeah, I got to do it in a weird time, weird place. I think there's only been one time because I try to make sure that because the thing is is you can recommit every week like you tell them, hey, you know what? Instead of four days a week, I'm going to three days a week.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Like it's just keeping your word. I think there was one time me and my fiance were hanging out and it was like late. in the, uh, late in the, like, evening, like,
Starting point is 00:17:15 seven or 8 p.m. and the gym closed at, like, 8.30. And I was like, I don't even feel like going to the gym. So I had to do like a makeshift, like,
Starting point is 00:17:24 quick, um, like, calisthenic workout. Like, I just push it up, sit-ups, all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:17:30 And it was just the worst. I hate that. While your fiancee was watching, was she there, like, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Starting point is 00:17:37 she was laughing. She was laughing. Because the thing is, you, you have to send evidence. whether there's a picture or like a video. So I took a video of me doing push-ups in her kitchen. And I'm like, guys, I'm doing it.
Starting point is 00:17:49 I'm doing it, guys. Have you ever thought about just like, you know, evidence I'm assuming is like a sweaty picture of you. Have you ever thought about just like getting like the top ring of your shirt just really wet and just, you know, throwing that on there? I'm not going to lie, bro. I'm not a corner cutter. That wouldn't suit me well.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Good for you. That would not sue me or real. Because if I did that, I would just have a guilty conscience. Oh, man, I can't. I can't look at these guys working hard. Like, I work just as hard as you guys. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, right. I don't know why you're getting the results, man.
Starting point is 00:18:28 I'm putting water on my shirt every single day. Yeah. That's fair. No, that's good. Good for you, man. You're engaged. Congratulations. Yeah, I'm engaged.
Starting point is 00:18:38 I'm actually in the car right now with her family. Yeah. We're chilling right now. You're in her drive. family. Yeah, yeah. Got engaged, bro. That's awesome, man.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Do you have a date for the weddings? That's great, dude. We're thinking about, like, November-ish for, like, the elopement. And then probably something else next year, because we want to do something small first and then do, like, a big thing. That's awesome, man. Marriage is the best. You're going to love it.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Congrats. For everyone not watching right now, I think we should introduce. This is DJ Mike L.V. back on the podcast. Yeah. Ghosties worldwide. Yeah. I don't know if you realize, but we just, we just pop you right in.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Like you're on, this is the podcast. We've already started. Oh, lit. I love it. Dude, I don't know. I, uh, I don't know if anybody has given me more cred with my kids than watching the dude perfect documentary and being like, hey, you see that guy that was there for three
Starting point is 00:19:39 seconds right there? That, I know that guy. I know that guy right there. And then every seven minutes or so, hey, I know that guy. I know that guy. That's the guy I know. That's the guy I know. Over and over again. Bro, it's so crazy.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Like a lot of people say that. And I'm very honored to be a part of what they do, man. It really is kind of crazy to think about. Because, I mean, when I first, I was thought of my father-in-law, when I first joined them, I didn't even know who they were. And that's not even like a reflex. I'm like, because what I mean by it is, like, when I got offered the tour, they were like, yo, do you know who do perfect?
Starting point is 00:20:12 is. And I was like, uh, not really. Like, I didn't grow up, like, I didn't grow up on that side of YouTube at that age. So I was like, I don't. Well, they were like, all right, well, do your research and let me know if you want to do it. And then I, I saw what they did. And I was like, oh, yeah, I think I've kind of seen their stuff here and there. But at that point, I mean, that was like in 2019 when we first did our first tour. I did not think it would be what it is now. Like, it's, it's, like, they're huge. Like, it's not even. Yes. It's insane. It's insane. It's insane. And bro, and it's so crazy because on the opposite spectrum of that is like, you're like, me and you are cool, right?
Starting point is 00:20:49 So it's like, oh, yeah, like, you'll tell your kids, oh, yeah, like, I know that dude. Bro, there's so many people who I, like, barely talk to that when the tour comes around and I'm in their city, they're like, hey, they're like, hey, can we like, can we, can you guys get us backstage? And I'm like, oh, no, like, what are we doing? So like how many workouts do I have to do in a row to like be cool with texting you when you're in Kansas City to get backstage with you perfect. Hypothetically. Hypothetically, man. I don't even know. I got to be we got to be locked in.
Starting point is 00:21:28 No, dude, it's awesome. I just like my kids are nine. My oldest two are nine and six. And like we're just now to the dude perfect stage of our parenting like kids, whatever. all of a sudden it's just like this is amazing this is so fun uh and now i'm like finding myself like watching videos without the kids there like i'm like i want to watch these things so um i yeah they're just fun dude and yeah but every once while our ghostrunners group will post like they're at the dude perfect show and they're like posting pictures of dj michel beforehand and everything so i'm sure
Starting point is 00:22:01 it's fun is that like is that the main thing that you are you are you pretty much full time with dude perfect right now, are you still doing other things as well with other guys? We can hear you. Yeah, so, yeah, so Dude Perfect is one of my main things. I mainly do stuff with like Andy and Lecray and stuff like that as well. Yeah. And then I also, I'll be the, the rock group, any tribe, and then I also DJ for no big deal. So those are like my rotating things that I do per year. And I also DJ for Tray Still, but me and Tray still do a lot of stuff together. And that's kind of like my year, my yearly wraparound. That's a fun life, dude.
Starting point is 00:22:40 That's a fun life. You're blessed, man. That's cool. That's really fun. It really is wild to think about it. It's like, I think I was telling one of my friends other day, it's like,
Starting point is 00:22:48 hey, bro, like I don't, I don't have to clock in, you know, I get to perform for people and pay my bills. It's kind of wild the way that God set it up. Like, I never, um, ticket for granted.
Starting point is 00:22:59 We did a show we did a show. We did a show with the other day. I was in, uh, the University of Tennessee. I think it was our biggest show. like 13 and a half thousand people. And I was like, man, I never want this to be normal.
Starting point is 00:23:10 I don't want this to, I don't want to feel like this is a normal thing because it's not. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Right. Yeah, this is not a given. Like, yeah, this is not, we don't know this is going to last forever kind of thing. Yeah, that's good.
Starting point is 00:23:22 That's awesome, man. Somebody's screaming upstairs. They must be super excited about this mainstream roosters ad. Hey, um, one of my family's favorite quotes right now is a, line from the cinematic masterpiece called Space Jam. Okay. Michael Jordan's kids are watching the Looney Tunes on screen, and all of a sudden, the Looney Tunes all leave.
Starting point is 00:23:50 And Michael Jordan's kids go, dang, where'd they go? And so my kids love going, dang, where they go? That's what you're going to feel like when you go to Mainstree Roasters.com and enter in the promo code GRKC. You're going to put in that promo code and you're going to look at that price and you're going to go, dang, where did they go? It was just 35 and now it's
Starting point is 00:24:13 considerably lower. Dang. Where did they go? So where should you go? Mainsteroaster.com. Use our promo code, GRKC, and you're going to love the savings that you get on the best coffee in the world.
Starting point is 00:24:28 Ghosties support and ghosties. It's just the best. We're going, I'm leaving tomorrow to go to Texas. and you better believe I'm not heading down to Lone Star State without some May Street. I'll tell you that right now. Not trying to go down there. You're coming strapped.
Starting point is 00:24:41 I'm going to go down there if you handed. Yeah. Yeah, you got to carry. You got an open carry down there. And what I mean by that is, yeah, bring your own beans. So get yourself a B-Y-O-B-O-B. Bring your own bo-Bob. And go down there.
Starting point is 00:24:57 MastrooRos.com. Pretty cool. Okay, so I told Jake right beforehand that I was like, I have a few takes that I want to wait and see what Mikel is going to say about it. And actually funny that you said this thing about working out and how you get kicked out of this group chat. Because recently, just today, somebody, like somebody posted something to this group chat that Jake and I are in. And this guy who had moved out of Kansas City leaves the group chat. And immediately I go and I write down, leaving group chats is lame.
Starting point is 00:25:28 I think that's, but I guess getting kicked out is a whole different story. but I think if you're in a group chat, even if you're not still really like strongly associated with those people, unless the group chat is like causing you unhealthy thoughts or like, I don't know, like going off nonstop, like stay in there and just just get some hits in every once in a while. Yeah, there's a few group chats that I'm like like a ghost in and I don't appear when I need to. I'm like a phantom, you know? Like, well, I crack a joke here in there. there or if there's like a polarizing conversation, I'll hop in two cents and then go ghost again. But yeah, I do think leaving group chats is like definitely, depending on the circumstance, I think it's very attention seeking. Like somebody that's like, like somebody that gets into an argument like a heated debate in the group chat. And then it says, so and so left the group chat.
Starting point is 00:26:24 I'm like, bro, you are immature. Like, you can't see the grow up. because one of my friends used to do that whole time he would just leave the group chat casually and he wouldn't ask to be put back in and we will put him back in but it's like what are you doing you're killing the vibe man
Starting point is 00:26:39 yeah yeah you can like feel awkwardness through the screen you're like I know he's gonna leave and then you're like do we what do we say like we got to address this somehow but also how much do we need to address this
Starting point is 00:26:54 and then they come back and it's like I'm not positive if they can see what we said before about him or not. And so how much do we say if he's coming back in? Like certain, I think group meet, you can see all the history, but maybe I message you can't. I don't know how that works.
Starting point is 00:27:08 So it's like, you got to be careful with that. But anyway, I just get fired up when people are like, just immediately like, oh, I'm out of here. I don't, I'm not in this fancy football league anymore. So I'm out of this thing. It's like, just stay in there for the, for the boys. Well, what the fantasy football I understand is, okay, like, you're not. No, you're not, come on now.
Starting point is 00:27:25 The immediate thing. But if it's like a group chat full of bros. but like a topical thing and you just like casually leave it's an all right bro like no I think I think stay in all of them and maybe I just don't
Starting point is 00:27:38 maybe I just don't have enough friends to where it's like it's like it's a problem for me but like I'm like staying as many as you can and just have fun like just follow along because half the things that they're talking about in the group chat aren't fancy football related I don't know anyway so I wanted to talk about that
Starting point is 00:27:54 I also wanted to get your take on this and this might be one of those things where it's like like I thought Michael was going to have an opinion on this and then I realized this might be the widest thing that I could think of that has to do with music. But I had the thought the other day, I grew up in a church, and I don't know your church background at all, but I grew up in a church that had bell choirs and I miss bell choirs. And I don't know, we lost the art of a bell choir and I just wrote down bring back bell Quires. I want to get those back. I don't know if you want to think about maybe DJing alongside
Starting point is 00:28:29 a bell choir. Um, you know, I need to know if you've had experience with this. You might be so Southern that I actually have no idea what you're talking about. No, you don't. Are you kidding, man? No, bro, that might be a certain. You got them asking the audience. Do you know what a bell choir is? Yeah, all of us Northerners do not know what a bell choir is, brother. really Jake you know what a bell choir is I'm just gonna assume you mean people holding bells and doing songs of bells is that what that is? Yeah and it's awesome dude
Starting point is 00:29:08 Have you heard Carol of the Bells? I'm with Mikel I'm like trying I'm like I know what a choir is I know what bells are I can imagine gosh guys Mikel you're gonna you're gonna bring this you're gonna bring this to the hip hop world and people are going to lose it, dude. It's like, it's like 80, no, 30, 30 white people that are 75 years and older.
Starting point is 00:29:35 Each of them have, normally they have two bells each for two different notes and they're just watching these things and they're just holding their bells there. And at once every three minutes, they ding their bell on the time. And it's amazing. And all of a sudden, like Carol the Bells, listen to Carol the Bells and imagine 30 people going at it. It's awesome. No, now that, because you're describing it, and my mother-in-law is also looking
Starting point is 00:29:56 out what it means, and I know what it is, I never knew it was called a bell choir. So I just thought it was just people, people just, you know, hey, hey, we've got a couple bells. Let's just make some noise, you know? Okay. I'm not going to like, like, calling it a bell choir feels very, like, you know how like, like, it feels very, like, it feels carefully. respectfully it feels like how can I say this what I was getting in trouble
Starting point is 00:30:26 respectfully it feels very much we don't get canceled don't worry it feels very LGBTQ you know what I'm saying what I mean by that is it's a group and they want to be included
Starting point is 00:30:40 so they made a group that's what the vampire was like hey we made this a thing and you're going to acknowledge that this is a thing you know we meet every third day in this room we're the bell choir they're not a band they can't sing you're going to take it
Starting point is 00:30:55 serious dude i i may be wrong no i think just the choir had robes bell choir they have gloves though dude they got white gloves they got gloves for those bells bro i don't know man we grew up like my my church growing up it was and i'm not even southern you think i'm you think kansas city's the south is that what you think of for sure is it not is i'm considering south Midwest, the southern Midwest? I say Midwest. I think it's kind of a weird blend, but I think people from the South would be offended
Starting point is 00:31:27 if you said Kansas City was a South. Would you say Kansas City is Southern or is it Midwest? All right. Okay, I think I'm the only one in the car. Yeah. Okay. You think in Kansas City's the South is pretty LGBTQ of you. I think of Kansas City.
Starting point is 00:31:48 I think of Missouri. Missouri. is the south. Missouri, there's hard evidence for the south. Yeah, there's parts of it that are very southern. Where Jake grew up, like Jake is a racist. I don't know if you know this. Like, he's acting like he's cool with you.
Starting point is 00:32:03 I had to beg him to get you on this podcast, dude. Yeah. He is so racist against food. It's not even funny. He wears a vanilla milkshake every time, dude. No, bro. That boy is a chicken tender and mac and cheese guy all day. God forbid
Starting point is 00:32:20 to a Michelin Star restaurant. I had a good time looking around, whatever else is getting. Yeah, what are you getting? Wow, you know what? You guys have chicken tenders? I'll get the roasted chicken, but how much pepper is on that?
Starting point is 00:32:37 Is it kind of spicy? Can you actually boil my chicken? Can you just boil my food? And how much ice comes in the water? I don't want it too cold for my sensitive teeth. Yeah. He's just like
Starting point is 00:32:49 Bro, one of my boys He goes to restaurants He says hey, can I have Can I have water, no ice? I'm like, dang, bro. Just lukewarm water. Like, just lukewarm to have water from the restaurant.
Starting point is 00:33:00 It's kind of crazy. At least the ice stresses up a little bit. You know, give it something. Give it something. So, Hey, congratulations on your Knicks,
Starting point is 00:33:10 bro. I just want to say that real quick, too. Man, bro, I've literally turned my entire fiancee side of the family and to die hard next fans that's fine my mission is that's awesome i'm a sleeper agent yes dude i love it dude i love that they they did it they did it in such a gritty way it wasn't like oh we have all these you know imports basically you know
Starting point is 00:33:35 yeah bro it's it it really truly they won in a very new york way when they did the 29 point comeback i was watching the game um with my fiancee and we were supposed to go to my to my her sister's house. And we ended up not going because I was like, nah, I just kind of want to be in my own bubble. Because when I watch the games, I really get into them. So I'm like, I just want to be home. You know, I just want to be home. I just want to watch it.
Starting point is 00:33:57 So we're watching it. And obviously, they're stinking it up the first quarter. My father-in-law is texting me like, hey, bro, pack your bags. You know what I'm saying? Don't. Father-in-law, come on now. Come on now, father-in-law. You can't do it in the moment.
Starting point is 00:34:11 And then half-time comes. And my fiance is like, it's okay. It's okay, baby. you know, like, they'll come back, and I'm just sitting there, like, Denzel Washington with a straight face, and I'm like, babe, if they get it to within 10 by the fourth quarter, we're winning. And the guy just in 12, and they won. I should have put money on that. I should put money on that game, you know. Dude, it was electric. I had watched them, yeah, for that, I mean, the playoffs run. And I was like, dude, they're gritty enough that they can come back. And I was watching with this dude, he kept every time I would say like, they might come back, he'd go, ain't no way.
Starting point is 00:34:45 And so then they hit a three-pointer and I kind of look at him like, ain't no way, right? And then they get down to like 15. I was like, ain't no way. And then it's down to nine. I'm like, ain't no way. And then they come back. Oji gets that tip in. I'm like, ain't no way, dude, just screaming at him.
Starting point is 00:34:59 It was amazing. bro me and my fiance quite literally woke up the whole neighborhood and almost jumped out the house I believe that's amazing when he made that tipping bro I screamed so loud like I felt I felt cold rushing through my veins bro what an exhilarating feeling to watch like it was crazy and then and then my fiance sister called me and she was like what did we just watch what did we just see I was like we just saw history we just what is history amazing dude it was insane bro and I don't know if you know but I went to game one I was at game one
Starting point is 00:35:36 oh my gosh in San Antonio yeah electric sports are so cool that's so fun congratulations on having a team yeah congratulations on having a team
Starting point is 00:35:48 in a situation where you got to watch and you had to be like I guess like a gatekeeper of like I'm not watching this with anybody I got to watch this with the right person with the right amount of volume
Starting point is 00:35:59 Like, that's how we feel with the Chief's playoff runs where it's like, hey, we're not inviting that guy over. We don't know what his, what his etiquette is during this game. We're not just messing around with this. Bro, the same thing happened when we were in the Eastern Conference finals and the Nix were down, I think, game two or, no, game three. It was no, yeah. It was no, it was game two. When they were down by 22 against the cabs that first half, bro, my, my fiancee was trying to be a, sweetheart. She was like, babe, it's okay. I was like, babe, don't talk to me. I just want to watch the game.
Starting point is 00:36:35 I just, I just need the focus. Like, I just need the focus. I don't need no sympathy. I like, as if I'm the coach. Like, I'm over here, like, in the corner of the couch. Like, I'm the coach or something, stressing out about the game. But yeah, I think even, like, I'm talking about sports, like, watching sports, even if you're watching with somebody that doesn't really know, but, like, is trying to be, like, like, you could, I, I could watch it with you, dude and like try to be the biggest Knicks fan in the world and I think in your head you're like dude I don't want you to watch this with me right now I don't you're not a Knicks fan like like if I try to say like dude OG and Nolbe so good you're like actually dude he's frustrating the heck out of me
Starting point is 00:37:15 right now you're like no I'm a I'm a good sport with that I think where I'm a bad you'll get better you'll get worse the more that the more success your team has trust me like it's like where it's like oh man like I think what I hate the most is when people watch and they try to pretend that they know what they're talking about and they don't. Bro, that's what gets to be like, hey, stop, talk, just stop. Enjoy the game.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Dude, there's an infamous time where we were watching the Chiefs game and Travis Kelsey dropped some pass and this girl that was with us just goes, Travis Kelsey's so slow and I'm like, stop it. He might be the best tight end of all time. Oh, dude, it was bad.
Starting point is 00:37:59 I had to really hold my tongue. So, anyway, I'll have to say, congrats. Hope it continues these steps for the Knicks. I don't know, man. Jalen Brogden's just the man. Brunson. Jailen Brinson. Jailen Brogden.
Starting point is 00:38:14 We can hear you. Now you're good. Yeah, you're real good. Yeah, I mean, it was a historic run, bro. And it's like, the way it was done, bro, it just felt so poetic because everybody was like, man, the Knicks had a good season. Like, before the series even started, hey, the Knicks had a good season.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Like, counting us out. Like, yo, Wemby, wendy this, when be that, yo, wemby, wembe, wimby, Wembe, Mee Meeamma drama, whoever. Like, and I was like, all right, bro, whatever, cool, cool, cool. And it's like, bro, I think one thing about that is, like, though, like how you said at the beginning of this topic, it was just a gritty, gritty season win. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:51 It felt so good. And then, it also felt good to knowing that we were a great team. And everybody at every corner kept on being like, I mean, yeah, they're okay. but like, man, they're not going to do it. Like, they're cool, but like, you know, no, they're not going to win. And every step of the way, it was like, yeah, shut up, shut up, shut up. Bro, I was at the Spurs game, game one like I told you.
Starting point is 00:39:17 And I'm not like, I mean, Jake knows me. I like, I talk my crap a lot, but I'm pretty mellow. I get to my seat in the Frost Bank Arena, and it's all around Spurs fans. Bro, no exaggeration. I'm nicked out. Nick head to toe, orange and blue. out, brother. You can't, you, you can spot me anywhere in the world. Like, like, said, like, saw me with how orange and blue I was. I sit down and the dude that's sitting next to me,
Starting point is 00:39:43 straight face, not being funny, I'm not being hyperbolic. He looked at me, he said, hey, bro, get out of here, man. Just like that, so simple. So simple. And I was just like, I was like, so I literally made that face. I was like, hmm, I was like, all right. I told him, no exaggeration. I said, hey, I told I was like, hey, I'm down to do this. But if the game doesn't go your way, I need that same energy. I like that. Okay, man. All right, man, you know?
Starting point is 00:40:12 And then the game's going on. So the Knicks were down for most of that game. There's a guy across for me, for whatever reason, decides to pick on me. Because I wasn't being louder in the game. I was chilling, cheering when I needed to. I wasn't being crazy as I usually am. Dude stayed across from me looks at me after like when Banjama dunks or something. He's like, this ain't Cleveland.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Go back to New York. And I was like, all right, cool. All right, cool. Because you got to understand, bro. I don't start it. I usually finish it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway, long story short, the game is over, and the Knicks come back,
Starting point is 00:40:48 the comeback, come back, coming back, and we come back, and we come back, and it's like, there's no way that the Spurs are going to win it. And I looked at him after we won. And I was like, I was like, you're damn right. This ain't, uh, this ain't, Cleveland. It's even worse. It's effing San Antonio. And he was just like, like just defeated, bro. And I'm like, come on. Don't do that to me, man. It's like you ask for this.
Starting point is 00:41:12 Mikel I know both sides. I've seen Michael be a de-escalation just connoisseur. I've been in Uber's with you where you've like instructed a man 30 years older than us, how to talk to a woman or how to talk to people in general. I've seen that. And I've also seen you almost getting a fight with a in a Philadelphia parking lot. And I feel like you got both sides at Mikel and one next game. Hey, do you know what I call that? Bro, I call that nuance.
Starting point is 00:41:38 I call that nuance, brother. Oh, that's great, man. What a time. I call it nuance. Nuance behavior. All right. Let's do our Mount Rushmore, the whole reason we had you on here.
Starting point is 00:41:52 Oh, I'm excited for this. This is places you've never been, the Mount Rushmore of places you've never been, Um, we'll have, uh, we'll go Brad. Oh, okay. Downtown Detroit. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:42:12 All right. This is a snake draft. We'll go Brad, Mikel, myself. That'll be the order. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:20 That's good. And once it's off the board, you can't take it. Brad, if you take any of my destination, I promise you, I'm going to jump through this screen. Hey, I want you to keep that same energy. All right. My first one is, I mean, that's the thing is like this list could be a lot of different things for me because I haven't, I've been places, but there's a lot of places still to go. My first one, I feel like pretty universally love, pretty universally, like, iconic in a lot of different ways.
Starting point is 00:42:50 I'm going Italy. Safe pick. Yeah, I like it. Yeah. I like it. It is. Yeah. Yeah, I just, I mean, there's all sorts of different ways you can go with it, but it's just like, Italy doesn't, I've never heard a negative word about it, you know.
Starting point is 00:43:07 It's not like, oh, actually, it's actually really dirty there. You know, it's like, no, I think people love it. So. Yeah, I mean, Italy is a great pick. Great, great points per game. Coming fresh out of college, got to love Italy. The food's great. Vives are great.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Architecture is great. They're on the right side of history, I believe. So great, great safety. Thank you. I appreciate your affirmation. Like Como is nice. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:34 Beautiful. That's my first. All right, Michael. All right. This, for my first pick, this country has had one of the greatest rebrands of any country ever. It is a tie between greatest country rebrands. It's tied with Germany. It's tied with Germany.
Starting point is 00:43:57 for the greatest rebrands ever and my pick is Tokyo. I knew you're going to access powers. It's on my list. Tokyo Japan. Tokyo Japan, one of the greatest rebrands ever, bro. Bro, bro, Japan like 70, 80 years ago, killing their, killing their citizens, pregnant women, all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:44:19 Now, bro. Pregnant women. Bro, it was insane, bro. Then we dropped the, yeah, hey, chill out bomb on. Hey, relax. Ever since then? Bro, amazing country. Amazing, bro.
Starting point is 00:44:32 I call that nuance. I call that nuance. Anime. Anime. Ramin. Sushi. Freaking. Like,
Starting point is 00:44:38 one of the cleanest cities in the world. Rich in history. Good and bad. You know, not a safe pick, but when it's on, it's on, you know? Hey, are you a big anime guy?
Starting point is 00:44:49 Are you a big anime guy? I am, but I'm not a big anime guy, but I'm big enough of an anime guy to go to Tokyo and have a lot of fun. Okay, fair enough. Oh, I, I just met a friend, or I know this friend, but I learned recently that he's an anime guy, and he talked my ear off about it.
Starting point is 00:45:06 And it's like, dude, just because your anime doesn't mean it's like Dragon Ball Z. There's a million different versions of anime out there. Yeah, bro. And they can get weird fast. Okay. It can get weird very fast. Really? Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:21 Yeah, I don't know the culture, man, but people are like, like, he was like, dude, I've watched anime that I cry in. And I'm like, what? For real? Yeah, bro, I'm not going to lie, bro. So I'm watching this anime right now called Attack on Titan. And I've heard consistently from people that it is one of the best shows, not even just anime, best shows of all time. And there's a handful of people that I really trust their opinions. And they said that it's up there with like Breaking Bad Level Writing, The Sopranos, like prison break, like that kind of writing. So I'm like, I'm watching it now.
Starting point is 00:45:54 And I'm trying to, uh, yeah. trying to enjoy it. But yeah, I mean, there's a lot of animators that have great writing, great story arcs, and just great storytelling in general, bro. Great country, man, Tokyo. Jake, what, Jake? What, talk to you, brother? All right. I get to go twice. Wow. Snake draft. Wow. First one I wrote down was Bampf, Bamp National Park. Okay. Okay. Okay. On my list. Okay. Fun name and every picture I've ever seen of it looks immaculate. Like, glacier freeze like gatorade water somehow on all the lakes.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Mountains look great. It's kind of hard to get to. Ice cold. And then second one, I would say kind of similar pick, but Switzerland. Wow, you took my list. This guy's smart. This guy's been doing his homework. This guy's been doing his homework.
Starting point is 00:46:48 This guy's been doing his Googles. I like that. Yeah, I've, once in a part of time, I went to the South Island, New Zealand, and it was like the most beautiful place they've ever been. and there was a guy there who was like, dude, this reminds me a lot of Switzerland. And I was like, I guess I need to go to Switzerland. So honestly, anything in the Swiss Alps area is probably gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Right. The mountains of a caucus, I might say. Some. Some might say. All right. Back to you. All right. And because Mount Rushmore is four, right?
Starting point is 00:47:16 It's four. Yep. Yeah. Okay. And the topic is of places that I want to vacation at or something. Places you've never been. Oh, I've never been. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:25 this is great. Okay. Could be like a girl's locker room or something. Places I've never been. Secure to myself. Confident. Man, places I've never been. Okay. Man, might not be,
Starting point is 00:47:45 might be a little cliche. Might be a safe pick. I actually don't care. Hawaii. Hands down. Great answer. Great answer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:55 That would be. my one if I had not been there before. It is paradise on earth. 100%. Never been to Hawaii. I want to go there bad. Tokyo, Hawaii. I have a good starting four right now. You're just doing Pearl Harbor, aren't you?
Starting point is 00:48:11 Yeah. I'm telling a story with my pigs. I'm telling a story here. Follow. Just make sure you follow. This is just a World War II kind of like, you know, storytelling. Hey, Mikel, you're a big world.
Starting point is 00:48:25 more two guy hey that's great you did say that germany had a great rebrand as well yeah FDR's birthplace and then yeah I don't know what else all right all right all right my next one one pretty uh similar to Italy uh but that's only because I've never been there maybe it's way different is Greece. That was my first one that I could think of. Wow. People just talk about. Listen, I'm running the football, all right?
Starting point is 00:49:01 We're winning Super Bowls with his picks, all right? You said Hawaii, bro. You said Hawaii. I don't want to hear it. Hey, hey, it's not my fault, man. That's all right. Grease is my next one. And then this is not safe pick.
Starting point is 00:49:17 This is more creative. I was going to save this for my last one. but Jake kind of made a joke that made me think maybe, just maybe Jake's going to make this pick. So I'm going to say a championship locker room, a championship locker room. It looks unreal in there. When they're throwing the champagne around,
Starting point is 00:49:34 just no one's having anything but a great day. Championship locker room looks amazing. So go ahead and tell me that's not original, all right? No, that was great. I didn't know that we could do situational destination. Hey, got to think outside the box, man. Listen, Jake and our artists like that, we just have creativity in our lives.
Starting point is 00:49:53 I don't know about you, man. Yeah, no, man, taking liberty with that. Creativity is carrying a lot of weight with that word. Places. Oh, man. Places we've never been. That's what I was heard. Places we've never been.
Starting point is 00:50:07 Yeah, you're right. A championship locker room. That's crazy. That's a good one. Okay, places I've never. That's crazy. Wait, is the championship locker room really a play? Yeah, it's a place.
Starting point is 00:50:15 He's trying. You're trying to poke the holes. I was like, wait, is that a place or like a situation, but it is, it is like technically a place. It's a physical location. Yeah, yeah. Man, if you're going to go championship locker room, I'm going to go New York Knicks Championship Parade. Ah, okay. Brade.
Starting point is 00:50:40 I mean, look great. Yeah, safe pick for me, but I'm back-to-back, safe picks for me. I'm cool with that. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Fair. You're going to give me a hard time for, you know, one, but you're going to choose the same thing for the next. That's good.
Starting point is 00:50:54 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. The rules don't apply to me, you know? Yeah, he's the guest. All right. My last two, I don't know that much about it other than just like, people are throwing this word around for a lot of brands, a lot of things. It's on deodorant. It's on water. I think it's where they do love Island. I'm going to go Fiji. Wow. You know what, Jake?
Starting point is 00:51:23 You're the guy, man. No wonder why you get paid the big books. You're the guy. You're the guy, man. Fiji, great. Great. I'm genuinely like, wow, this is, that's a great pig. That's why I get paid the big bucks.
Starting point is 00:51:40 Dang, you do about Fiji, dude? That's great. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, does anyone really know that much about it? I don't know where it is, really? I just, other than like, I assume it's amazing. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like Fiji's beautiful, bro. I feel like same thing. Crystal Clearwater. Um, you know, part of Polynesian culture as well. I mean, you're, you're, you're pretty, you're, you're getting everything you want. And it's kind of isolated too. You're going kind of crazy. Love Island. Yeah, yeah. Can I pull you for a chat, Jake? Can I pull you for a chat? Yeah. All right, Jake. I told you. I, I, I teased this. I teased it. All right? Um, um, What if if captain's not the first lady of the podcast, which I believe she is, then I guess it'd be Rachel. Rachel be the second lady. Third lady of the podcast, I'll call her Kirstie Swick, sends me a picture today. Let me see if I can just show you. She said Google Maps has a new, a new picture for our house. And she sent this picture.
Starting point is 00:52:46 This is going to be great. and it is oh my gosh we texted a lot after this that was really led to a beautiful conversation well uh it is a picture with good ranchers in it baby
Starting point is 00:53:01 that is even better I was imagining it on the porch or something but invisibly in the trash is hilarious I mean no free ads but come on Google Maps let's go so that's awesome I mean if that's not if that's not a ghost
Starting point is 00:53:16 if that's not If that's not a ghosty that's been loyal and supportive, I don't know what is. Kirstie not only loves us, but loves quality meat, loves her family, loves providing wonderful food for her family. So she goes to Good Rancher.com. She buys the pork. She buys the beef. She buys the chicken, whatever it may be, wildcat seafood.
Starting point is 00:53:34 And it comes straight to her door, and it supports American farmers. It supports us. It supports them. It supports her family. And she's got a beautiful, blessed family. So if so facto, you should do the same at Goodrencher. And I mean, we're trying to get new customers, Good Ranchers, but I am curious about the existing customers. It's worth a look up on Google Map Street View just to see if Good Ranchers has made it
Starting point is 00:53:57 into your, you know, image on your doorstep and your trash can. I'm hoping for at least one other person. That would be awesome. That would be sick, dude. That would be so sick. So, um, go to goodorangers com, use our promo code, GRKC. It'll give you a stout discount. Excuse me for my language, but a stout discount as well as add-ons for life. They love adding things on, which I think is just like that cherry on top. But honestly, cherry on top is good. Bacon on top is better.
Starting point is 00:54:28 Get yourself some good, good ranchers meat delivered straight to your door, sports American farmers. And it's free of all the garbage, the garbage of other. other meat companies. It's not in there. It's organic. It's all organic. It's all supporting America.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Please support them as they support us. Check them out. Let's see. And then my last one, I'm going to do between a couple Nordic ones. I'm going to go Iceland. Some of these picks are very Aryan. This is the chicken tenders of places you've never been. How do I say this?
Starting point is 00:55:06 It's like Aryan LGBTQ kind of pick. right there, dude. Oh, Sweden, Iceland. This guy's going pretty white. What a call out. I choose 1940s Germany. They're like, okay, dude. What are you saying? What are you saying? Jake, what's what's what going on? I'm telling a different story than you are. Oh, man. What a time. Yeah, it seems like people really enjoy their time in Iceland. They got like, I don't know, Northern Lights really. I would love to see the Northern Lights before I die. It seems like a good
Starting point is 00:55:36 place to do it. Yeah, Alaska too, man. That's a good place. Yeah Hey, pick it then I don't know if I'll pick it Where haven't I been, bro? Man, you know what? Should I pick a funny one Like just for the bit?
Starting point is 00:55:53 Like just for the bit? Yeah, dude Just for the bit I said next championship parade Wait, but this is my last one This is my last pick Yeah, we've also got honorable mentions after this
Starting point is 00:56:03 So you could save some funny ones if you want Okay, yeah, honorable mentions I'll do funny ones But as the serious one Okay, I have Tokyo, Hawaii, next championship parade man i did say alaska that that that is put you know that that's a potential that's a potential um where are some beautiful places man man you know what bro new zealand yeah yeah new zealand they filmed the hobbit there they film order of the rings
Starting point is 00:56:38 they filmed king con i'm new zealand all the all the greatest hits king king Tongues there. Yeah. Whenever Jake said, like, hey, it's the most beautiful place I've ever been. I was like,
Starting point is 00:56:51 well, maybe I should pick New Zealand then, so that's a good call. Yeah. New Zealand's great. That's a good pick. Thanks, bro. Thanks, bro. I tried.
Starting point is 00:56:59 My Mount Rushmore isn't the best, but it's mine. It's mine. It's yours. It's your truth. Hey, my last one is going to be, I don't know anything about this
Starting point is 00:57:09 except for the fact that they have those little secluded huts that look like you, are in the middle of the ocean. Oh, yeah. Bungalows. I don't even know how to pronounce this place.
Starting point is 00:57:19 I don't know if it's Maldives or Maldives, but I want to go there. I want to go to the Maldives and just hang out with my wife and just hang out with my wife. Yeah, hang on with your wife and have a few kids. That's right, dude. It looks awesome. The ocean. I want to feel it.
Starting point is 00:57:35 Yeah. Yeah. This guy wants to go to the Maldives with his wife and have some colorful conversations. Yeah. emphasis on the D. Maldives. So, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:57:48 I don't know. It could be, there could be like a trash heap behind all this, but like the pictures I see look just like paradise in real life, you know, like on earth. So that's my last pick is I've always wanted to go there. It always feels like it's just a little bit too expensive to justify, but I'm going to go there someday. Got to.
Starting point is 00:58:08 That boy picked them all these is for his wife and him to go worship. You know what I'm saying? Dude, I remember when I was looking at places for honeymoon just three years ago. Same thing as like, I feel like I've seen like a postcard of the Maldives. That looks awesome. And then I feel like it's off the coast of like Sri Lanka or something. I mean, it is the opposite side of where we are. 40 hours of flying to get there.
Starting point is 00:58:35 And so expensive. I was like, all right, well, I'll just, maybe it'll be a good anime that takes place there. I'll just watch that. Yeah. Good anime. all these. All right. Honorable mentions.
Starting point is 00:58:50 I had a few in the United States that I, and you want to talk about Aryan picks. I wrote down Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard, both just about like, as blueberry farm picking. Give me. Give me some lots. Listen, I've heard good things. I've heard good things about them. I don't know anything about them besides just they sound like a different area of the United states that I don't know about that I would like to go to. And then just a bunch of the national
Starting point is 00:59:18 parks, Yellowstone, Yosemite, you know, all that kind of stuff. Man, Yellowstone is beautiful, bro. Like Wyoming period. If I had a different lifestyle, I would move out there for sure. Yeah, looks awesome. Wyoming is perfect, literally. There you go. What about you guys? Do you have more auto-re mentions, Brad, or no? How's it? Mikel, you got any other extras on your mind? I do one of them The Mariana Trench You know That's one of them
Starting point is 00:59:49 I don't know I don't know what's down there But it's deep and it's scary So I just want to I kind of just want to be in the know I'd like to report back Yeah I'd like to return back alive Tell you what I saw
Starting point is 01:00:03 Nothing about pitch black Pretty dark Another one Would be What you'm gonna call it Alaska is definitely an honorable mention for sure But you know the six months of darkness I don't know if my
Starting point is 01:00:20 Caribbean blood could handle that You know I've also seen that movie about the vampires that come out at night in Alaska And even though it's not true I just fully believe it like it's real Yeah go in the summertime You know for sure yeah Only in summertime
Starting point is 01:00:35 Mariner Trench Sesame Street Never been It means a lot to me very sentimental mental, never been. And also the Beatles big yellow submarine. Never been inside of that. Dang.
Starting point is 01:00:52 So what just happened? Yeah, I don't know what. I was like, in here by myself. I was like, yo, did we just get raptured? Did we just get internet rapture? I thought it was a purgatory for like three seconds. I was like, what happened? I was like, hello, Jake?
Starting point is 01:01:15 Oh, man. Oh, my gosh. That had to be terrifying. Oh, it was. It was terrifying. I was in here alone. I mean, the world was before me, but in the internet, I was, I was alone. I looked around, hello.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Oh, man. We just get raptured. Okay. Well, good, you got the good internet here. I sit Brad the link again. Brad's got logged off. Maybe Brad got raptured. Maybe you and I are out of luck.
Starting point is 01:01:45 Yeah. Yeah, maybe we didn't, maybe really, we didn't really know the real Jesus. I must have misunderstood something. I would have thought we'd be on the same team. Yeah. Oh, you meant, oh, you meant John 316, not Juan, 316. Ah, okay. Oh, you were, you were serious.
Starting point is 01:02:01 Yeah, yeah, my. I miss read. Well, while Brad joins, I just keep going. Here are my honorable mentions. Sorry for one last Aryan one. I went Norway. Wow, no, no, you know what? I'm not even mad about that one.
Starting point is 01:02:15 You know what? Erling Holland, you know what I'm saying? The birthplace of a legend. They got fjords there. Those are cool. Pro Vikings? Like, that's just the overall good pick. Very Aryan.
Starting point is 01:02:26 Very on brand for you. But I'm not mad at it, though. Like, I'm not mad at it. I think that's great. You know what I wrote down initially? And then I googled it. And I was like, that's actually, I don't know if that is. But Petra?
Starting point is 01:02:37 Do you know about that? No. That was Petra. That sounds crazy. I sound like something from like a Marvel movie. Well, that's kind of like Mount Rushmore. a little bit. They like carved, I think it's one of the seven runners of the world. They carved a city kind of into like this rock. It's like somewhere in the Middle East. But then I
Starting point is 01:02:54 Googled it and I was like, well, I think you'd get there and you'd go, is this it? That's like if you, if you said that on the pod, well, we're still on the pod, but if you said that like, you're saying that if you would have said that on your actual pick, that would have been like picking a very fine, fine wine. I'm like, wow, this guy knows his stuff. This guy, this guy's a connoisseur. He knows, he knows stuff. Yeah, this guy knows the stuff. I think for me, a couple other places I'd love to be, like Elon Musk's mind. I just want to know what's going on in there, you know. Another one.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Brad's text me. Could be, man, maybe inside Michael Jackson's glove. Is there a little sparkly glove? That could be a good destination. Didn't know what you're going to go with there. Yeah, glove is fine. Oh, man. Inside of Michael Jackson's love.
Starting point is 01:03:51 I put a, like a, what do they call those? Like, I can't want to say regional, but like a voting booth during like not the big ones. Like a primary voting booth. I've never been there. What's it like? Voting in July? Never been.
Starting point is 01:04:10 I don't care about my community. I just care about my country, the country at large. I'm sure they've got it figured out. Yeah, they don't need my measly vote. that's like people that don't vote in their local government but vote for the president are like people that don't watch soccer during the uh season for like la league or anything like that and they just watch the world cup it's like we're not mad at you bingo but like we're like we're not mad at you and it like matters more in the world cup but also like it also does matter
Starting point is 01:04:38 that you do watch these other things because you might get a little bit more understanding of what's going on in the greater good of what's happening. Last honor remission I have written down and then we can let you go is I just, oh. Is he back? It says Papa has Riverside Open and other tabs. Okay, Papa. He's on Jake's, but he's on your thing now. It says Jake and it's him.
Starting point is 01:05:06 Gotcha. My last honorer mission is I just put the Cayman Islands. I just love to see, like, how many banks are there? I'd like to see them. That's funny. I like that. Hey, Brad's back. That's not bad, bro.
Starting point is 01:05:27 I think another ornamental, I'm an ornamental for me would be like a copy borrow farm. It doesn't matter which one. Doesn't matter which one. I don't care. Just any old run of the mill one. Yeah. Yeah, just one. I think you could do that.
Starting point is 01:05:43 I think you could you could probably tag team that with one of your other picks, you know? Yeah, 100%. I could attach it. I could attach it. Bro, when you, when you exited the podcast, I told Jake, Jake was a freshman back. I was like, bro, do you just get internet raptured? That just, that just happened? Pre-trip, post-trip, yeah, yeah, that's what happened there for sure.
Starting point is 01:06:09 Oh, man. Yeah, dude, I don't know. I also said another honorable mention of mine would be Elon Musk's mind. Okay. Just to see what's going on in there. Sure. You know? Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:06:21 That's funny. I like it. All right. We got our list. Mikel, dude, thanks for joining. This is awesome. This is hilarious. Bro, I love y'all.
Starting point is 01:06:34 I love the Gosses. I know you moved to Phoenix, but whenever I can be physically with you guys for that episode, I would absolutely love that. And whenever you want to invite me on, I'm down to do it too. Okay. You mean that.
Starting point is 01:06:47 But I love being with you guys. I love the, yeah, I love the community. I love the ghosties. I love Jake. Whatever you all need, man. I'm here.
Starting point is 01:06:57 I really appreciate it. Dude, and I know I've already texted you this, but my introduction to Bad Bunny was the Super Bowl halftime show. And that night, I also saw on your Instagram story, you parading,
Starting point is 01:07:11 dancing, the time of your life with the Puerto Rican flag. And so because, like, those are both, there it is. They are now wedged in my mind. Like, anytime I listen to Bad Bunny, I just think of you just, like, dancing with that flag around. So I think of you way more than you probably think. That's awesome.
Starting point is 01:07:28 Yeah, I love you, Jake. That's great. I love that we can bring you into the culture, bro. La Coutura, bro. I'm so happy. You're a bad Bunny's biggest fan now, and I'm happy about that. Christians are going to be
Starting point is 01:07:42 hella mad at you, but it's okay. He's the only one that's inappropriate. Yeah, yeah. All right, dude. Thanks for joining. We'll see you later. There he goes. Maybe.
Starting point is 01:07:57 There he goes. There he goes. It's frozen there. He's here. Think he's gone? I don't know. And we're back. Time and come home soon.
Starting point is 01:08:16 Oh, yeah. Time and come quickly. Yeah. No, that was great. Good to see, Michael. He cannot stop sending me just text about how thankfully he is. Whenever you want me on for any segment, I'd be down. I love you guys.
Starting point is 01:08:30 I love your community. It really means the world that you'd allow me in. That's awesome. For real. Thanks for allowing me. I mean, yeah, he's so nice. That was great. He's just, yeah, he's just one of us.
Starting point is 01:08:42 Like, he's just a bro. You know, he's not afraid to, like, chop it up. He's not afraid to joke around a little bit, but he's also, like, real. I don't know. He's just, he's just a good dude. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's great.
Starting point is 01:08:57 All right, how's the basement treating you? It's great. It's cold, man, compared to, you know, I've been the last couple weeks, I feel like we've recorded in the afternoon here. It's been 95 degrees. We're beating down in the shop on this, like, single pane window. and I'm like, it's fine, it's fine. This is nice down here, baby.
Starting point is 01:09:17 It's nice and cold. So I can't hate on it too much. We still haven't fixed all the, like, we got everything like remediated from the basement, but we have not fixed it. Like we haven't redone the area that was, you know, puddle stuff. So we'll get there eventually. But, you know, one thing I talk to do it, it's actually kind of unbelievable how messy. it is down here. Like I almost couldn't find a place to sit.
Starting point is 01:09:46 Dude, I mean, you're telling me this whole house. Just, yeah, true. We haven't done anything. Well, and the thing is, like, if I knew that this was, like, if I wanted to sit down here and I came down here and it was this messy, I would have, like, we would do something. Like, I couldn't handle this. Like, it's kind of unbelievable to me. Like, this is, like, Hattie spends a lot of her afternoon. Like, she has, like, an hour and a half quiet time down here every day, like, listening to stories and playing and stuff. And I mean, like, there's stuff like upside down, like dollhouse is upside down. And I'm like, I could never manage that. My dollhouse has got to be upright.
Starting point is 01:10:21 Even as a kid, I think I would have been like, I should probably like kind of tidy up down here, you know, and stuff is everywhere. So it's just a difference between like she's just so different. And then like, Bo is crazier than Hattie for sure. But like, Bo is a tidier guy. You can't like adapt to the chaos as well. I don't think so. So anyway, so basement's fine. Can't complain, brother.
Starting point is 01:10:47 But I, uh, Chris Rennelan has a new movie. You heard about it? Odyssey, the Odyssey. Odyssey, comma the. And? I think this is my first Tom Holland movie. What do you know about Tom Holland? Oh, I loved him in Spider-Man.
Starting point is 01:11:05 Okay. It's the only thing I've seen him in, but he's awesome. Yeah, love him. I have no idea what the reviews on the movie are or the acting is but without knowing anything I was like this is Tom Holland he seems like a cool guy in every interview I've seen him in but I've just never seen a movie I didn't I couldn't get into the character
Starting point is 01:11:27 I couldn't I wasn't believing in in his character I don't know how to word it but what was just to be like like I think I love him in Spider-Man because Spider-Man character is like supposed to be a little bit of a geeky guy that becomes a superhero like he's kind of a kind of a like underdog like was he was his character supposed to be more of an alpha I know he was underdoggy I would say but I think he was supposed to be this kid it kind of seemed like a high school kid I'm like I think he's 30 I don't know about this okay um but no I mean it movie is great I mean it's it's a crazy movie from like a production standpoint I mean, it's very impressive.
Starting point is 01:12:12 First 20 minutes, so I didn't know anything. I don't know anything about the Odyssey. I know it's like, it's an epic. Beyond that, I don't even know what that means, really. Like, when did it, who decided it's an epic? How does it become an epic? Just a ton of poems? I was just like, oh, I mean, Matt Damon and Hathaway, sure.
Starting point is 01:12:30 First 20 minutes, I was like, am I going to fall asleep to this? But then we got going and it was fine, so. Did you understand it? Easy enough to understand? I could follow. Yeah, yeah. easier than like inception was or anything um a couple fun cameos i thought you'd enjoy let him watch he's in it and the guy who plays gary bertier he's in it that guy's still doing it still doing it
Starting point is 01:12:56 he's sword fighting with the with the rest of him okay honestly was it almost sad to see him because now it's like oh that guy does not look as good as he used to like he looks old he and then it makes you looked like Ryan Fitzpatrick or something. Like you can't even really make out like age. Just like the biggest scruffiest beard and wearing a lot of armor. So no,
Starting point is 01:13:20 you can barely even tell it's him. I was gonna say, but could you tell? Like he was like, that's... I don't even know if you would be able to tell. I, I'm trying to remember now.
Starting point is 01:13:30 Which came first? I don't know. But yeah, he's in it. Let him watch. He's in it. Yeah. A bunch of people in it.
Starting point is 01:13:37 This, they, I didn't know anything. I guess this whole story is about like Greek mythology. Who knew? A bunch of crazy creatures and monsters that are all made up. That was a surprise to me. But I was like, oh, the Trojan horse thing.
Starting point is 01:13:54 Oh, well, that part's real. Oh, the Battle of Troy. Oh, yeah, of course. I looked that up afterwards. And I guess we're like, we don't know if that happened or not. So I'm like, okay, so it didn't happen then. What do you mean we don't know if it happened or not? Okay, so Homer made this up.
Starting point is 01:14:11 Yeah, if people aren't adamant about it, probably, like, back then you would lie pretty well. So, like, if not even enough people are lying to, like, make people believe that it happen, maybe it's not right. I don't know where it comes from, but for some reason in my head, I was like, oh, of course, Battle of Troy. I mean, yeah, that's, yeah, Battle of Troy. Yeah, this is news to me. If what you're saying is true, I thought that was real. I thought that happened. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:14:39 Let me look it up again. And yeah, the Trojan horse thing. I was like, well, that's fun. They're kind of mixing in some Greek mythology with like real, you know, historical events. And I guess that's also just like, well, we don't really know the logistics of how that would have happened or if it happened. But fun concept. I like the idea of it. I choose to believe that it did happen.
Starting point is 01:15:02 I'm on team. Let it happen. Okay. Yeah. Did Battle of Troy happen? Troy was a real city. The internet's treating me like I'm six years old. Okay.
Starting point is 01:15:15 Troy is real. Yeah. You were right about Troy. Troy's a real name. Those are words. Yeah. Yeah. And they found some archaeology that looks like maybe it got destroyed.
Starting point is 01:15:31 So maybe there was a battle. Archaeology is real. That's real. I've seen it. Okay Anyway, but fun movie Impressive Christopher Nolan It's great
Starting point is 01:15:43 Did you guys read those Like the Odyssey or the Iliad Or anything like that in high school? No, I truly knew nothing I had no idea other than like Oh, it's like a classic I mean to be fair We definitely did
Starting point is 01:15:56 And I definitely know nothing as well So Yeah Brad have a question for you If your house was burning down What would you take first? First Would you grab first?
Starting point is 01:16:08 I mean probably my king-sized bed Yeah Yeah I'd probably go I put it on the front of me though Like I wouldn't use like a backpack Like most people would think I'd go front and just hope it fits
Starting point is 01:16:20 To the door which I'm not positive it will But I'm gonna try it Are your kids on it or just the bed Oh gosh yeah I forgot about the kids Um Well you know what I'm gonna say the king size bed still
Starting point is 01:16:34 Because I just I want to make sure I have that A kid without a bed not really point it's kind of pointless right like it's like i mean what are we going to do with it sleep on the ground this has been a fake emergency system something we've all thought of if my house is bringing down what would i grab what is most important to me i face this this week in a sense just last night out of nowhere the monsoon the nightly monsoon comes in and it just like suddenly it was kind of like i don't know a hurricane or something i mean went from like still to just like, whoosh, everything gets flown over, pool floaties, chairs are flying over.
Starting point is 01:17:13 And I go, oh, I have clothes that are like drying outside right now. What do I say first, cozy earth? Yes. Grabbed it. I said, you're not taking my cozy earth. I don't think so. Yeah. It really was, though. I like sprinted outside and grabbed cozy earth joggers. I was like, you can take my chairs. You can take my floaties. You can't take my cozy earth joggers. You can replace chairs a lot because you can replace viscos from bamboo, brother.
Starting point is 01:17:35 It really was. I can only save so many things. I don't know. Obviously, Cozy Earth is in my hands. Dude. Yes, dude. We're going to Texas tomorrow, and I am for sure packing up the softest clothes I own, cozy Earth, as well as my cozy earth pillow case.
Starting point is 01:17:53 I think I'll bring my whole pillow, but maybe it's a hack. Maybe I just bring the case because I think it makes such a big difference. I think that is the move. Yeah. So, I mean, if nothing else, that's a great, that's a great. gateway drug is the is the pillowcase is the socks you know something like that yeah um but we love cozy earth uh if you don't know they they have they have all sorts of different materials they have silk they have uh you know cotton but the thing we love the most is this viscose from bamboo
Starting point is 01:18:23 i'm wearing it all right now i don't know what viscose is as far as i could know it might be you know i'm not i'm not going to say something gross because it's not it's awesome just know it's the best and uh And you have to pay full price. You don't have to pay full price. You don't have to be close. Flash Ghostrunners and you use that promo code. You know it. You love it.
Starting point is 01:18:43 It's GRKC. You get 20% off and it's awesome. Cozy. Cozy. Cozy. Dang it. Stupid. Anyway, cozier.
Starting point is 01:18:59 com slash ghostrunners. Go get it today. Please. Thank you. I wrote something else. in my notes. You could, next time you do Andy Stanley or any kind of
Starting point is 01:19:09 mega church pastor's son's comedy show if you want a other bit. Yeah, come on. And this is a golf bit. Okay, so this would work well with golfers or people who have seen golf or people who know golfers. But I think it's so funny, dude.
Starting point is 01:19:26 First of all, I think it's so funny how confident people who are very mediocre to bad at golf are in telling you where to aim your put. Like, hey, I'm just thinking like, I'm just thinking like about about a foot to the right here on this put. And it's like, you're guessing, dude.
Starting point is 01:19:45 You're just, you're just, or like, hey, I'm just thinking like just right on the outside edge of this cup right here. You know, it's like, that's, I kind of agree with you, but also you don't know what you're talking. You're not sinking putts left and right. I haven't seen a, I haven't seen you hit a single put. Like, you're just as, just like me. That's great.
Starting point is 01:20:05 That is so, so good. So good, Max. And I thought when I first started playing golf too, I was like, this is pretty interesting that like on top of this being a very physically hard sport to play and have so precise and have such good mechanics, you also have to be like really good at reading terrain. This is like an entirely different skill. That's crazy that Tiger Woods just also happened to be an amazing putter. What are the odds of that?
Starting point is 01:20:30 He could just read like minute differences in like the height. and speed and grass. Yeah. Good for him. And so then the next step to that is this is what is really funny to me. And I noticed it after probably a third or fourth time. I was like, I'm going to say something because I was with my foursome for the scramble was Jensen, this other guy, Brad, and then this guy, Tim.
Starting point is 01:20:54 And Tim was literally like the archetype of your first time golfer guy. Like, I think he had technically golf once. if you saw him, if you met him, you'd think that guy's a golfer. Like this guy, he's a finance bro. He's, you know, just a cool, like he looks like he could golf for sure. He played the part well until he, you know, squares up to the T-box. And it's like, oh, no, you've never done this. And he was just enamored by all the things that I remember being enamored by
Starting point is 01:21:24 or, like, laughing about, you know, a year and a half ago, two years ago. He walks right through the bunker. Yeah, yeah, all that stuff. at the very, oh, he, he didn't pick up on the don't talk in somebody's back swing for so long. And finally, I, like, kind of intentionally was, like, talking and telling a story and then, like, I ended up quiet down. I've got to sit like this. Oh, just like, he's gone.
Starting point is 01:21:49 And, you know, but I mean, he was just like, yeah, so you have four kids. That's interesting. And, like, right, the first, anyway, um, super cool guy. But I noticed different things that I would then relate to him because he, was seeing it too but golfers love to pick the most obscure things to like use as their aiming as like landmarks yeah like this guy like you know they'd be like teeing off they'd be like ah see right now you're kind of aiming you see that you see that medium short tree see that that little v in it you know like it's like or like hey I think you should put you see that little
Starting point is 01:22:29 brown patch right there I would aim for that brown patch. It's like, you see that branch that fell off the tree? It kind of looks like the peninsula. It kind of looks like the panhandle of Florida. Aim for that branch. So the water there, you see where it kind of ravines out a little bit and dips in. Yeah, just I would aim right for that. And I think you'll, you'll love that shot.
Starting point is 01:22:48 You know, like, and like people, like, eventually it just was like hilarious. So I was kind of mocking. I was like, yeah, you see the green tree down there? The one with the leaves? I would shoot for that one, you know. Hey, guys, you see. how none of us can control where our balls go anywhere. Have a blast. Go for it. I always, that's my, that's like one of those like go-to jokes for me is, you know, we, we hit one ball and we all go and we like,
Starting point is 01:23:16 you know, they get out the range finder and they're like, uh, I'm seeing 176 and I go, all right, I'll get out my 176 club. Like I know like I like it all depends on if I actually hit it or not. Like, I get at the same club 40 yards or 300 yards, you know? Like, it's just so I just, I think it's so, like, funny when they're like, hey, this is what I'm reading, but also it's like, you don't have to tell me. Like, I'll just try to smack it, dude. It is like human nature. It's like, well, I guess I should put myself in the best opportunity to succeed.
Starting point is 01:23:53 You know, it's like, you're playing a course for the first time. So you ask the guy who's played it before, hey, where do we kind of aim on this one? Like I have any control. over where this ball goes. Dude, that was the hilarious thing. So Tim, literally, this second time golfer, he's like, I have a really bad, whatever, slice or hook,
Starting point is 01:24:09 whatever they call it. I get confused which one's which. But he's right-handed. And dude, I swear he aimed at like a 60 degree angle. He positioned himself. And to his credit, it kind of went straight. Like he just, like...
Starting point is 01:24:23 Like the slice. Yeah, but at times, like, Jensen would be like, hey, I think you're hitting it off the heel. I'm hitting off the toe. And he's like, I'm going to be honest. dude, I don't know what either of those things mean.
Starting point is 01:24:32 Like, you know, you need to be open with your face and all the stuff. He's like, just tell me like, you know, swing more with my hand. Like, tell me what to do with my arms or something. So anyway, but it's just so funny to like, like notice like what they tell you to aim for. Like, all right. So you see that little, see that cloud right? The cumulonimbus right there. See how it's like.
Starting point is 01:24:51 It's right above the weeping will. Well, it's not a weeping willow, but it's kind of, it's got like drapey. Yeah. Drapey leaves. Why don't you just say like 11 o'clock? Like, why don't you stay? Like, well, there's more universal things we can do here. Anyway, so.
Starting point is 01:25:06 And I feel like it's very hard to even like, because you're like, you're 90 degrees of what you're aiming at. So it's kind of unnatural to line up your body that way. Yes. Where even if you know exactly what to aim for, I don't know, you're not used to like lining it up perfectly. Like, is this lined up? And so what will help a lot of people is aiming at a spot six inches in front. of your bowl. That's what you should be looking at. And like make sure that's on the line you want. Like that piece of grass, that leaf, 12 inches in front of you, just worry about hitting the
Starting point is 01:25:38 ball that direction. Oh, that's good. Yeah. That's good. I like that. No, but golf was actually really fun because it was like the scramble, we were good enough. And there were, Jensen and Brad were good enough to where like when I messed up, it wasn't like detrimentally awful. Like, I guess we're hitting from four feet in front of the T-box because none of anybody else did. but they were also not good enough that like I felt like none of my shots mattered. It was like, okay. Yeah, you're contributing. Yeah, I probably-
Starting point is 01:26:07 And they kind of need you at times. One quarter of the time. Like, a quarter of the shots. Like just enough to where it was like, hey, not bad, guys. You need it. It is kind of fun. That's a good spot to be in. That's like pretty low pressure, but like still necessary.
Starting point is 01:26:19 Like, hey, Brad, take your time on this put. Like, we need all four pots here to be good. So, anyway. Last golf question. Did you have any golfers in the group that really like to talk to their ball? Oh sit sit come I don't think it was more it was more like uh well yeah sometimes yeah come on like go go turn turn turn turn yeah it was more us just like hyping up the person when they had a good shot like it'd be in the air and be like oh jensen oh jensen jensen and then there was a few times I got I actually got on to jensen about this hopefully it wasn't offensive but like
Starting point is 01:26:59 I thought he had a great shot, like a chip in, kind of, not chip in, but like a chip shot onto the green, which I don't do every time. I don't do successfully. And I was getting really excited for it. I was like, dude, let's go. And he's like, yeah, it's fine. And I just look at him, I go, do you think you're good enough where that's not a good shot? Hey, you know what? You're fired.
Starting point is 01:27:20 Get off our team. Dang. Savage, dude. I was just like, I was like, you're, I, I, the, I, the, The rest of the round, you haven't done stuff that's like so unbelievable that that's not a really good shot for you. Like that's a shot of my life and you're like, yeah, that's fine. You know, I'm like, dude, get excited. Four foot putts on a gimmie.
Starting point is 01:27:42 Yeah, he didn't get an eagle. But like, that's a great shot, you know, whatever. So I gave him kind of a hard time for that. Anyway. Um, okay, my one of the week is that I've got a recliner. Yes. Do you have a one of the week that involves sitting down? I got a one of the week that involves,
Starting point is 01:27:59 Yeah, just American lethargy. Perfect. Before this, my one of the week, I feel like I had multiple wins a week. But my goofy one of the week is I ate a frozen pizza today for lunch. Often I like to have a little dipping sauce for the frozen pizza of some sort. Sometimes it's a leftover chick-fil-a packet. Sometimes it's a, you know, some ranch. Today, I open up the fridge.
Starting point is 01:28:29 and the only thing in there that looked like it was an eligible bachelor was the barbecue sauce but it was like so close to being out i knocked it on or i put it upside down waited about four minutes came back for that bad boy and there was just the right amount that's my way of it i opened it up and it it had just enough that it had come down manna's from heaven yeah it's now in the trash but like i had just enough for and that was my way of the week It was like, that's, that's just a small win, a fun win. That's beautiful. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:03 Barbecue sauce. I'm looking up some comments of the week. Just the sheer quantity of comments on Spotify deserves its own as comment of the week. Quantity comment of the week. Thank you guys for just the never-ending love you show us. I mean, just like simple comments. Like, thanks for continuing to do this podcast. I love your jokes.
Starting point is 01:29:22 I see that comment. I like that comment. I see it here. Thank you. A lot of people give me a hard time for liking to smell of manure. and I say that's fair. That's fair for you to make fun of me with as hard as we made fun of Tyman.
Starting point is 01:29:36 Yeah, I, there are a lot of good comments via Spotify. There's also so many Facebook posts that I liked that were responses on the Facebook group that I do want to shout out. Hilarious posts from Tristi Messervi. That phonetic alphabet is a toughie. One time at work, I was on a very serious phone call with an insurance company
Starting point is 01:29:57 for a prior authorization, I had to give them a reference number and went for the old H as in hot dog. I felt like once I said it, I had to stick with it, so I doubled and tripled down on it because they kept asking for that dang reference number again and again. Since then, I've printed out a reference sheet. That's so funny. Out of all the things you could say to not be serious. Hot time.
Starting point is 01:30:23 That was good. Brooke had one. Oh, sorry. hers was in the same vein i did give some of my email once for somebody to do with my car email starts with vw you know like Volkswagen but naturally i didn't say that i went with v as in victory and w as in wagon my car's nickname for years was victory wagon amazing um eric schreier uh you know all-star contributor here um but he said help me fill out the ghostrunner's alphabet so the guys can use this the next time they're on the phone he's spelled phonetically and they just did all
Starting point is 01:30:56 sorts of stuff. Alpha, Beau, C is for Chick-B-L-A. D is for Dean. Yeah, Ellis, Friday, Good Ranchers, Hattie, Isaac. Just a bunch of really funny ones there. And then there was also some amazing comments back. See if I can find him for Isaac's hair. Like I think he really had some issue and the, the picture didn't show up on the video, but I think it's almost better because then people could go back and forth and really need to know this. Let me see if I can find it. If you find it before me, let me know. But let me see if I'll just. I'm also going to take this time to text timing real quick and say, do we get you back on the podcast next week? Because that would be fun. Looks less like Isaac McDonald, more like Isaiah Maldenado. Apparently Isaac's been
Starting point is 01:31:52 trying out the Phoenix area Amish churches. Isaac Luther, which monastery do you belong to? Are we sure this is a guy with this guy was a barber and not just a guy with some clippers? It's the shortest bull cut I've ever seen. Hey, barber, please give me micro bangs and a bowl cut. And they picture of Lloyd Christmas. I mean, I feel like there was, oh, here's more. Oh, a bunch more.
Starting point is 01:32:20 my brain is having trouble processing how bad this is he looks like a 10-year-old trying to be emo or it just looks like a toupee Madison Ecologist said this is a jump scare this is so much worse that I thought it would be Joanna Mao says I was about to put mascara on when I saw this and now I have to wait a few minutes because I'm laughing so hard
Starting point is 01:32:44 I mean it is a shocking picture if you guys haven't seen it go to the Facebook page It's in a comment He got cast as Will and the reboot of Stranger Things And then This is a quote I want to look like an acorn
Starting point is 01:32:58 Say no more Angela Birdwell Did he lose a bet Alyssa Baglow It's just barber neither handed Oh that's good too Oh somebody posted that When John Chris got that
Starting point is 01:33:13 Crazy bowl cut and said it's giving this And Anyway The sheer look of disappoint. I mean, it's just amazing. Like, somehow it's uneven. I have Rachel do it for him next time and just use a bowl from the kitchen. I mean, it's just amazing. Like, so many funny quotes back and forth. So yeah, please check it out. Man, that's good. Thank you, Gosses, for being funny, doing our job for us. Seriously, so good. Also, Bell choirs, guys. I need some justification on Bell choirs. I need some
Starting point is 01:33:45 people to say, yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course Bell Choir. I know Bell Choir. What denomination of church did you grow up in? Where would you have seen those? Huh. Yeah. I never saw him in my time at Leewood Prez. No. No.
Starting point is 01:33:59 I think it's a, I feel like it's an old, it's like more traditional thing. Cool. Yeah. And it's mainly the old people up there just ripping bells? Yeah, it's probably not just old people.
Starting point is 01:34:09 But yeah, it's just, actually the person that like conducted it was one of the band teachers in our school district. But yeah, dude. It's just, And like there's the guys, like the men have like these like really like the heavier looking bells.
Starting point is 01:34:24 And sometimes they'll like gong them and then just kind of like hold out. And other times it'll be like, or sometimes it'll be like they'll like kind of like like like don't do like don't don't don't don't it. It's all me, it's awesome. Electric guitar at the whammy bar. Is that what it's called? They have like a version of that where they're like kind of holding it, kind of letting it rip. They do.
Starting point is 01:34:49 They self-wavy with it, dude. Or I feel like the, was it the snare on the drums? Sometimes they, like, they grab it. Like, they don't want any extra rattle. Or maybe symbol. Symbol is what I'm thinking of, I think. It's simple. Yeah, that's the word.
Starting point is 01:35:03 Yeah. Yeah. That's good, dude. So anyway. Bell's special. Yeah. All right, Bellquire. Maybe it's what I'll name this episode.
Starting point is 01:35:17 Yeah. I just want some credit. Oh, another one of the week that I wrote down. I went to a retirement home yesterday. As part of being a deacon, I have a few widows and widowers that I'm assigned to of just checking in. And there was one guy that I couldn't get a hold of and finally got a hold of him and went and met with him yesterday.
Starting point is 01:35:40 And he is a World War II veteran, which is crazy. Yeah. I feel like there's not very many of those. was still alive and it was cool talking to it. I think he's 101 years old. I was just doing that math. I was like even if he was 18 and 1944, yeah, that'd make him 100. Yeah. Crazy. So that was cool just to get to know this guy. And I think he was just, he's probably just like, who's this whippersnapper? I didn't intentionally, I should have been more intentional about my, what I was wearing. But I just, I feel like I, I think I wore this hat and like a t-shirt and flip-flops,
Starting point is 01:36:15 you know, like just sandals. And I was like, I don't know if this is going to make me look like a great deacon right now. You're like, this is going to make the salute I do later a little weird. Yeah, but anyway, that was a cool one too. Yeah, so hopefully we'll have some sweet stories together, me and Mr. Jim. But anyway, that was fun. Cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:35 Fond sewed. Shout out DJ Michael. Hope to see him soon. Yeah, good luck next week trying to follow that up. So. Yeah. Well, we'll figure that out. Maybe time is a special guest.
Starting point is 01:36:48 I don't know. Has it texted back. Yeah, he'll text you back in about three weeks probably. Sweet. So, all right, man. Ghosties, thank you, as always. Ghosties. Live.S. Travel.
Starting point is 01:37:01 if you want to go to the ghosty getaway think about it think about it anything else you need to say before we get out of here peace and blessings we'll see you on Monday ding him and bring him
