Good news, everyone, we got Timon back.
Yeah.
Yes, sir.
Kind of in a digital way.
We don't have this video, but we've solved the problem.
We can communicate with time in this episode.
So it's got to be good.
Yes.
I see a big capital T.
So we'll call him high T.
Big T.
Hi, T.
Yeah, big T.
So, hi,
hi, timing.
Well, hey, guys.
Can you hear me?
Give us, give us some, yeah, we can hear anybody.
Give us some,
give us some thoughts about last episode that you wanted to say that you didn't get to.
I was going to say, yeah, just the Rosie cutting her hair was like, that was such a real thing
because Lydia when she was probably three or however old, just like, I mean, it was intense.
She had like probably two and a half foot long hair and she chopped it off to like less than a bob.
It was, oh wow, less than a bob.
It was pretty crazy.
there's an amazing picture of her and Jonas, who was also kind of in on the crime,
who cut a little bit of his own hair, and they're just like standing there and unsmiling,
looking at the camera.
It looks like mug shots.
It's a really good photo.
I might put it on screen.
It's just, I think it's objectively funny.
Yeah, I mean, like, Rosie's is like, I don't even know if you could truly, like, none of us would notice.
As a guy, we would never notice.
Like, Catherine was like, because Catherine was running all around last night trying to
ready. And so I saw Rosie do this. And I was like, I'm not even going to tell Catherine
until later on that night. And Catherine was like, what part of her hair did she cut? And I was like,
honestly, I couldn't even tell. Like, I don't even know. I think it was the front. Yeah. Yeah,
maybe she's got a history or a future in this, but, um, no, I don't know. But yeah,
you're like, did she have layers like that before?
Rosie, you have a gift. Did she have highlights as well? Like, oh, what's, uh, what's
Lydia up to now? How's she doing?
She's great. She, I mean, no, she's, I don't know. I don't know how to describe Lydia.
She's just super fun. I don't know. She learned from mistakes, though. She doesn't try to cut hair
anymore. She was definitely, I think she was one of the kids. I think it was her. And then it was
the same with Alice when she was younger, who would just like write their name on everything,
like the walls and just various things. Like once they learn to write their name, they're just like
out of control. And then you try to accuse them and they try to act like,
like it wasn't them. And it's like, I just, it doesn't make any sense. Oh, yeah. You can't really
defend yourself from that. Yeah, Bo does a safe thing. I went over the shed the other day.
And it just said, B, O, B, O, B, O, B, O, all over the shed. I was like, whoa, you wrote on the shed.
He's like, I didn't. I didn't know. I didn't. Oh, yes, we all know it was you.
You can't not, yeah, whatever. I think, you know, especially from the outside looking at, like,
the psychology of misbehaving is so fascinating to me.
Like what is it about that?
We all have it.
And it's even human nature to deny it.
Like,
no matter what,
no matter how guilty you are.
Like,
what is that?
That's so interesting that we're just like born that way.
I know.
Just born into it,
man.
So it's this thing called the fall.
So the Garden of Eden.
September,
October.
Oh.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The autumn is what some,
some,
yeah.
Yeah.
There was a literal serpent or did it, yeah, whatever, no.
Anyway, yeah.
It is crazy, though, like watching like, oh, you're just a sinner.
We're all sinners.
We all, I can see it, you know.
Yeah.
Man, Henry right now is just, his big thing right now is,
me, no, no, that's what he says,
me, no, no.
And then you'll tell him something.
And he totally understands what you're saying.
He'll just go, huh?
Huh?
And I'm like, stop, dude.
Me, no, no.
Henry, you need to pick that up.
Huh?
Huh?
Me just a little kid.
Me just kid.
Yeah, he's like being like Kevin in the office.
Like when I present it someday, they see.
They see.
Yeah, he's like super self-aware.
It just chooses not to be like eloquent.
We don't know.
Me youngest of family, me most likely to rebel.
Why get mad at me?
Yeah.
Don't.
Yeah.
Exactly.
Don't want to keep me happy?
He's really into saying,
No way!
That's another,
that's another communityism right now.
No way!
So.
You know what Rachel and I still quote
is that founding father's vlog,
me, Scott Isaac, Tyman,
go down to Dallas,
and we're in that weird truck stop
and Sandstorm is playing,
like, you know,
they're doing a light show
with the truck speakers
and we go,
Scott goes,
you ever get sick of this song,
this every day?
No.
The way.
that woman said no is so funny.
No.
Yeah, had a little gravel to it.
No.
Rachel and I still say that all the time.
Yeah. I love that, dude.
I love it.
All right, well, Timon,
take us to a theme song to say something funny.
Is that good?
That was good.
That was good.
That was good.
All right, edited in there, baby.
Uh, uh, oh, oh, I think this tight beat means that it's going down.
with some random thoughts
and white me too
Midwest best friends
eating fast food on repeat
So come along
Let's have some fun and go ahead
Get on your feet
Because it's a ghost

Everybody
Morning morning
Oh
Happy Wednesday
Ghosties
Did you know
Helen Keller
Flew an airplane?
See this is what I wanted to get into
with Niju
When I had the chance
To talk to a blind person
I was like
There's a lot of Helen Keller
Stuff I'd like to clear up
And we didn't
We didn't have the time
Yeah
That came up in Tahoe at some point, you know, between the $96 million deals where they were like, yeah, you know, somebody was like, yeah, we went to this party where everyone had to come with a conspiracy, which I think is a slippery slope.
I think you should, you should have some kind of stipulation of like a fun conspiracy because some of the things.
Yeah.
These people came with was like, you really.
Five out of the six couples like do it right.
And then the six cup, you know, it's just like, oh, slender man.
Can we not talk about slender man?
I don't know what that is.
what is that it's probably something that um sorry i'm just gonna put him on blast it's something that
tyler tong would talk to you about for like 45 straight minutes so slender man uh how do i okay let's think
of how i say this um so yeah um there's those like people in the bible i heard about i don't know bro
that's a lot i don't i don't talk about who are those people in the bible we lost him
no he just doesn't know the answer we lost him on
audio timing nephalum nephalum that's where the nephalum they really get going on nephalm okay is slender man
a nephalim hey chat timons muted i think anyway um yeah tell me more about the conspiracies
helen keller all right buddy we had a good five minute um no apparently this guy went to this party
uh i don't know i don't know but then yeah helen keller diamond just said hi i should just leave
Holy crap.
Just text us when you have things to say, Tyman.
Oh, there he goes.
But yeah, apparently Helen Keller flew an airplane,
and I said, that's not possible.
She's a woman.
They're like, now that's a joke.
That's a joke, Brad.
That's a joke.
But, I mean, are we really going to buy that?
Apparently there's something with Helen Keller of, like,
her assistant just made up the whole thing
or something like that.
really i i don't know much about helen at all but have you seen her handwriting no is it look it up right now
we'll put it on screen look at helen keller handwriting i i might believe she flies a plane more than i
believe she writes like this no way is that interesting it's like a i don't know it's like a
weird font that's like papyrus font it's like perfect i i wonder i mean i'm more i'm yeah
The font is interesting, but I think you can kind of memorize a font.
I don't understand how you do it so straight.
That's what I'm more impressed by.
Wow.
Okay, yeah, this is very good handwriting.
Time and put this in.
Yeah, it's like, I feel like it used to be an insult in like middle school or elementary school.
Like, I can't read this.
Who wrote this?
Helen Keller?
Right.
So facto is actually amazing.
Thank you very much.
Yeah.
She doesn't write in cursive, though, so.
Knock on her for that, I guess.
It's going to be tough in college for her.
That is amazing.
Yeah, it does look like almost, yeah, typed out or something.
It also looks almost hieroglyphic.
Yeah, maybe that's a better description of it.
Certain letters are really long, but that it's so straight.
Hmm.
Anyway, do they talk about other ones, other, like, fun ones?
Oh, I mean, I mentioned the panda one.
I think I talked about that on the podcast a while back, didn't I?
Oh, you know such thing as pandas?
Yeah.
I think that's pretty interesting.
I don't remember the other ones.
I think a lot of them were kind of like serious ones.
I was like, oh, that's not very fun.
Yeah.
But, yeah, I don't know.
It was one of those things that I was like,
I'd never heard of hell in color flying a plane.
I don't think I knew about that.
Also, I would never get on that plane.
Let's be honest.
Like, no one would.
A female pilot?
Okay, sorry.
There's another one of those less be honest situations.
One of my buddies is one of those classic like,
what would you do in this scenario?
And I want to know your answer, Jake.
What about timing?
Because he's back now.
What's up, time?
What's up?
Hey, buddy.
Like I never left.
And time.
That's right, man.
You were here.
It almost sounded like you were AI right there.
What's up?
Like I never left.
It was one of those things where it was like, okay,
it was one of those golfer memes.
It was like, you could take $5 million today
to never play another round of golf in your life.
you could make $100,000 for every eagle.
No, maybe it's $50,000 for every eagle, $10,000 for every birdie,
$1,000 for every par for the rest of your life.
What do you do?
And a lot of my friends are like, oh, I'd go par,
and I'd just play golf all the time.
And I'm like, no way would you actually do that.
If you had $5 million, right there in front of you,
you would say, I'm going to risk it for a par every single day.
dude, I think I misheard you.
I thought you said never play golf again for $500,000.
And I was like, yeah, I would do that.
$5 million?
$5 million.
$5 million.
Yeah, just insanity.
Right?
Like, even, because like my friends are like, you would get so much better.
You conservatively be, I could get eight pars every round.
I was like, I don't know, buddy.
Like, also you're out of play every single day.
Like, that'd be my job.
earn back the money that you gave away.
Yeah, not worth it.
I understand.
I feel like we did this kind of recently where it was like, well, if you invested this,
I can't remember what the scenario was.
Do you remember what it was?
It was pushups.
That's right.
It was pushups.
Push-ups, I feel like that's a little bit more like, you can go in you, you can do push-ups.
You can go to Tahoe and do push-ups and then you can go to whatever.
Like, you can golf obviously everywhere you go as well.
But you could have a bad round of golf where you legitimately cannot par the hole.
I know every morning I can wake up and do push-ups.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
So I don't know.
Timon, what do you think?
Timon, you love to golf.
Yeah, from what I heard,
sounds like quite a deal.
I didn't hear the actual rules,
but boy, does that sound interesting.
But boy, what a deal.
But boy, what a deal.
I'm texting,
I'm texting a celebrity schmores guest right now,
FYI.
Oh yeah, I forgot we have Schmores later.
I'm sure time is going to be ripping and roaring with them.
So I don't know if they're coming now or if they'll come later,
but I just text them the link.
So I got a little quick, just quick airport story for you.
I'm at Des Moines Airport flying back home.
And I'm there pretty early because my parents dropped me off
and their drive back to Stratford.
And so I'm hanging out at a restaurant there.
And to my left are three guys speak in Spanish.
and a guy comes up to him
and I can kind of hear him saying
sorry I'm a diehard Yankees fan
that's when he kind of take the headphone off
Switch to transparency mode
Yeah yeah
And so I was like I think I heard what he said
So I just asked the guy next to me
While he was like talking to him
I had signed an autograph I go
You guys you guys play baseball
And hey what's up TJ
Hey buddy
How's it going?
Good I just made my bed
Oh are we live or like
Am I on right now?
Yeah you guys
Yeah, you're on.
Popped in.
Okay.
We have,
we have a story here from the airport.
Jake's telling us the story from Des Moines Airport.
Got it.
Sitting at a,
sitting at a restaurant,
three guys speaking Spanish,
a guy comes up to him,
interrupts him and says,
interrupts these three guys and says,
hey,
I'm a huge Yankees fan.
Yeah.
And yeah,
I'm in the Des Moines airport.
I'm like,
could this guy be a Yankees player?
So I asked the guy next to me.
I was like,
hey, you guys all play baseball?
And he goes,
yeah,
yeah, we all do.
I was like,
all for the Yankees?
He goes,
yeah.
I was like, what?
Oh, wow.
And I said like Yankees, Yankees, trying to like insinuate.
Or like the Des Moines Yankees.
Yeah, I was trying to like get a read on like the big like the top dog.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Insinuated, but I don't know if I made it clear.
And he was like, yeah.
I was like, oh, cool.
Congrats.
And then I just went back to eating.
You didn't ask you they were?
I found out that one of the guys was, his name's like Oswald, Oswaldo Cabrera.
Osvaldo Cabrera, that's my favorite.
Oh, wait, no, I'm wearing a jersey later.
Yeah, oh, shoot, I had a shirt this morning, and then I made the bed and got sweaty.
Oswaldo Cabrera.
One of his name was like Aaron Jujae?
I don't know how to pronounce it exactly.
He was huge.
Anyway.
Really?
So, that's awesome.
What were they there for the field of dreams?
So, yeah.
Well, in my, I'm quickly trying to like piece together.
I'm like, why would they be in the Des Moines?
But that was the day of the trade deadline.
So I'm like, I guess they all got traded.
That's the only thing that makes sense.
You break the news to them somehow.
Oh, you guys are heading to Cleveland.
Cool.
You're going to be going through Des Moines a lot.
You're going to love it.
A lot of Koreans.
Love it in Des Moines.
I'd get an Allegiant credit card.
It'll pay off.
To fast forward, like an hour later, I go walk to my gate.
And there's an entire.
like gate full of baseball players.
So it was for sure like a minor league team.
I'm pretty sure like the Iowa Cubs or I think that's something like in my head somewhere
like some double A or AAA team.
They must have just been playing the Cubs.
So they for sure are not in the majors.
They're a minor league team.
Yeah, you're right.
Like of course, yeah, in hindsight,
those guys aren't flying like that.
They're flying private and they're flying much more, yeah,
luxuriously than just the Des Moines airport with a layover.
Yeah.
But and also just for a quick, while Yankees is happening, that's the next table to my left.
To my right is the worst male, Karen, I've ever like seen in real life.
He complained about every aspect of his burger.
He's like, hey, this didn't come with lettuce, tomato, this.
The guy's like, that's just how it comes.
And he goes, let me see the menu.
And then like they're getting after it.
And then he goes, this does not look like very much bacon jam.
And he goes, I don't know.
It's bacon jam.
He goes, I need more bacon jam.
And then, dude, it was nuts that he finally.
The manager comes out, and I don't know what they negotiated, but he brings him an egg as like a, I'm so sorry, please take this egg.
Hope he's suffering.
Yeah.
And so he's cutting this like fried egg and it scoots off of his like plate and onto the ground.
I was like, oh my gosh, this guy's going to erupt.
So I left before that like even like got a little bit of a picture with this guy.
Like, does he seem like he was Iowa?
No, he seemed like scary.
Big city.
Big city guy.
Scary.
Scary little rock.
Scary little rock.
Like a bad part of little rock.
Was he dressed nice?
He was dressed like,
like he cares about how he looks,
but some piercings and tattoos.
Okay.
And he really cared about his bacon jam.
Yeah.
Yeah,
yeah.
So just like,
oh,
he was nervous about this bun looks stale.
He goes,
we make it fresh in a house every day.
And he goes,
I don't know,
look stale.
I don't know what to tell you.
You haven't eaten.
You haven't taken a bite of it yet.
It's crispy.
well sir it's toasted
all right
that's going on on my right
the manager and this guy
just going at it
Yankees on my left
and I kid you not
in the distance
same POV
a guy walks into the restaurant
and he's got
two things across his chest
feel free to guess what they are
I'll go ahead and tell you
mega
megaphone on a strap
like side sat
or like cross-body megaphone
and then the other one
is a GoPro
chest attachment
I'm like
what
What is this guy about to do here or at this airport?
Like, I can't believe they let you bring a megaphone.
Like, you shouldn't be allowed to carry that on.
Yeah, that seems like, like there's certain things that are dangerous.
There's certain things.
It's kind of like when they say, like, you can't listen to your, like, phone without headphones.
It's like, you also can't make it into a microphone.
Like, that's ridiculous.
Yeah, it's like, don't, don't let your kid run with scissors.
It's like, it's not that it's like bound to be dangerous, but like it's more than likely not going to end up well.
Don't let this big dude have a megaphone in the airport, not in Devoy.
TJ, can I put you on the spot a little bit here?
So TJ's mom.
I'm looking at the Des Moines Cubs, the Iowa Cubs schedule, see who they played.
Seattle Oswaldo did.
Yeah, let's see.
They won 5'3.
They played the Indians.
That feels inappropriate now, but while there's still that AAA getting.
Yeah, mine always is okay.
Small town.
All right, put me on the spot.
Well, your mom is a flight attendant or was?
Is she still doing it?
Still kicking.
She's still alive.
Can you think of any funny, hilarious, crazy stories that she has from her time?
I mean, she's definitely...
Because you said megaphone, Jake, and I was like, oh, I bet T.J. has some megaphone-esque stories.
Like, whatever.
Yeah, she's got a lot of stories like famous people.
that have been on airplanes, some in first class, some not.
She's definitely had people join the Mile High Club, like very obviously so.
What is that?
That is when you have a credit card.
And an airplane.
Trying to set you up for a joke, dude.
I'm setting you.
Come on.
And then, man, I don't know.
I don't know if she has any sort of like, you should have someone died of airplane one
time, which is, like, so they just, everyone stands up and, you know, just dead as bad as every
dead animal that's ever died.
A mile minus six feet under club.
Yeah.
I'm trying to think, I don't think if there's any, like, there's nothing that's been like,
like, oh, I have this awesome story about flight attendants, you know, like, it's all just
like normal stuff.
Like, she's flown up in the air.
like, you know, the pressure changes
and she's like been lifted off the ground,
like stuff like that.
Wow.
Like stuff you see in the movies and stuff?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
But it all seems so normal the way she tells it.
Like, you know, my mom, she's like,
oh, yeah, someone died away.
I was going to say, honestly,
there's probably like, yeah,
there's probably like,
there's probably a megaphone guy every week.
Yeah.
Like, yeah.
That she just doesn't mention.
And she also flies now.
Cardinal Cruz, who's going with me?
She flies,
because she's been doing it for almost 50 years,
she flies in her.
internationally. And so, and she works in first class. So these people are spending 10, 20 grand on
their tickets. So it's not necessarily like the, you know, Carnival Cruise, you know, but she like
loves Japan, like flying to Japan. She's like, they're so polite. They're so nice. She does not
like flying to India. So that's, I don't know, that's some prejudice that she has there. It's the weird
weather. There's a lot of turbulence. Yeah, a lot of turbulence. It's just the humidity.
And boom bye.
He hates it.
But yeah, she's still doing it.
She loves it.
But nothing crazy one time.
So I used to be like a giant baseball fan.
Like I love playing baseball.
Yeah, as Waldo.
Yeah.
And I was a huge Mike Piazza fan.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, Dodgers, Mets, because I was a Dodgers fan.
And that's when you know you're a little too old is when you call him a Dodger.
Like, yeah.
Like Mike Piazza is such a Mets.
I mean, I know he was.
But when we were kids,
Did you ever think of him as a Dodger?
No, Mike Piaz doesn't met to me.
Yeah, that's crazy.
I mean, he wanted to retire as a met, which is fine.
But he was from Pennsylvania, and it was the point where we lived here.
So when we moved to Pennsylvania, my mom was still based in L.A.
So she would have to get on an airplane, fly across the country to then fly her trip.
To start work.
Wild, you know.
And because you have to, like, get approval to get transfer and all this kind of stuff.
And during one of those flights, Mike Piazza was sitting in first class.
And I was like so into him.
And she was like, oh, my word, I have had a baseball in my suitcase for like 10 years.
And I just took it out.
Oh.
She's just like, my son is going to kill me.
And so he signed some piece of paper for me.
And, you know, still really cool.
But yeah.
So that's kind of cool.
Okay.
You know what's kind of funny about that?
I didn't talk about this in the Yankee story.
But the reason I was so thrown off when a guy first came over to get an autograph is because he brought him a basketball to sign.
He like brings him a basketball and says, I'm a diehard, I'm a lifelong Yankees fan.
That's what was like, did I hear him correctly?
What is going on?
This guy signed a basketball.
Yeah, and then she, I liked that.
And then she had the, all the, who's the, what's the group that's saying who let the dogs out?
Bahama men.
All the Baham men were in coach one time.
And she was like, you're in this group called the bomb?
That's amazing.
I was like, yeah, we'll let the dogs out.
She's like, yeah, they're all in my pen.
There was like 40 of them.
Like, they were all in going.
I was like, really?
I think you just had a flight to Jamaica, mom.
I think those are all the bomb, man.
So 40.
Yeah, there's just so many of them.
They knew that, yeah, they're like, we're one hit wonder.
We're not first.
We were going to save some of those royalties and not spend them and just live out our lives.
She does like a domestic flight in Korea.
She goes, yeah, K-pop.
K-pop was on my flight.
There's like 140.
Yeah.
You know that demon on her show?
We saw them all.
She goes to Japan.
She's like, anime is really nice.
People that are, it's like, ah, I don't know if that's that works.
That's funny.
I wonder, no, I'm not going to do it.
I was going to make some coffee right here.
front of everybody. That's pretty personal, though. I don't want to show people by a coffee pot.
Okay. Okay. Maybe pantomime it. Okay. All right. What you were watching is Brad Ellis,
circa 2026, making coffee, just in case historians in the future are looking at this.
All right. Looks like he's making. I can tell it's Main Street Roaster's coffee. They
sponsor the Ghost Owners podcast. And you can tell Space Roasters by the look on his face.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He's going to have a good afternoon. Yep.
Yep, he looks confident. He looks happy.
Hey, neighbor. Hey, oh, yeah.
We're the one piece to mow the lawn. That's interesting.
Oh, get out of here, Henry.
No, wait, you're my son.
Okay, and it's brewing, it's brewing. It looks like, oh, yeah.
Quick sip.
Ooh, a little hot, little hot.
I mean, and hey, that's coffee for you.
It's coffee for you.
And that's all right. That's all right. It's still good.
Still good. You can still taste it.
Certain parts of the tongue. Yeah, you can still taste it.
Okay, we, ah, yeah, two hands around it.
Oh, I hope he blows on it.
I hope he blows on it.
If he doesn't, it's going to...
Oh, no, oh, no.
Oh, he...
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Oh, that's hot coffee.
Oh, it's all over him.
It's all over him.
Oh, no.
What you'll notice is, yeah, it is hot.
He is burning.
He is flailing on the ground.
But you know what?
I never heard him curse at the coffee.
That's what's important to know.
He still enjoyed the coffee.
coffee and he's not going to throw away that shirt.
And I doubt he washes it for a while because it smells so good.
He might be thinking, wow, Brad, that was pretty hot.
That's at least secondary burns.
Are you going to go to the hospital?
You'll notice he's not.
He would rather sit and bask in the smell of the coffee right here than go to the hospital
and treat his burns.
GRKC for 10% off.
Cool.
TJ, you're doing good.
I hear you got a dog now?
You're a dog guy?
I let the dog out.
Who let the dog out?
So I have a story about the dog.
So a puppy, she's like 10, 10, 11 weeks old.
And I'm taking her on a walk.
And so I, I grab, well, Brooke, no.
So I was doing something.
And Brooke went on a walk.
And I came upstairs and knew the stroller was gone.
So I was like, oh, I'll just grab the dog and go find Brooke on her walk and walk with her.
And so I grab the dog.
I go out front.
And I'm like halfway down our driveway.
And this other guy's walking two French bulldogs across the street.
And instantly one of them starts.
sprinting towards me and gets out of his like harness thing. And I can tell this dog is not coming to
play. This dog is coming to kill my dog. So I yank our dog up by the like a leash, like kind of
snatch her in the air and catcher. You yo-y-y-jodry. And then the other and then the other dog comes and this guy
starts screaming. These dogs are trying to bite me now. I am kicking French bulldogs off of my legs as this
guy dives across my yard trying to catch them. But like, you know, like when somebody happens like
this, you're not thinking straight. You're just like, I'm just like running around dodging.
Our dog is freaking out. And I'm ticking French bull dots. And this guy's like almost like cartoon
diving trying to catch them and just missing. Luckily, you're still playing soccer, you know,
in leagues. Yeah. And so then I finally realized like, like, why are I running inside? And so finally I'm like,
yeah, she just run back into my house. So I run back into my house, put the dog down. My kids come
downstairs.
They're like,
they're like,
almost crying.
I'm like,
it's fine.
It's fine.
I'm just out of breath.
You're like,
take the dog.
I'm not done yet.
And you like go back out there.
I was just like,
like he,
I would say he dove,
maybe like he dove into that yard,
then he dove into this.
I think he dove like four times trying to catch these dogs.
I was like,
I don't have a ring cam.
So this is all pointless.
Oh gosh.
But I was like,
I was scared.
I was like,
yeah.
And one of them got my foot,
like bit,
on my foot. I was like, things I would shoot. Like, I was fine, but I was like, man, I was literally
kicking these dogs away, which I'm sure I'm probably getting in trouble for saying that on the
internet, but yeah. People don't care about animals on the internet, so it's fine. You're like,
in your driveway, you so easily could have gone inside. I'm going to go, I'm going to go surprise
my wife on a nice little walk. I just love the idea of like, it's been five minutes now,
and you're like very clearly don't want to go inside. You're treating these dogs like whack a mole.
Back off
Back off
It's like you know
You're going to like
Fight flight or freeze
I definitely went into fight mode first
I will dominate you dogs
Yeah there's like flight or kick
That dog
But then I heard from my neighbor
Because my neighbor texting
She's like what just happened
I heard you know
I heard all the dogs barking
And like because like Kula was like
Who's our dog was like screaming
Like you know like terrified
She's just a puppy
And I yeah
It's just like, well, I think I scared her.
And then she's like, oh, those dogs have given us trouble before, too.
And I was like, all right.
So I kicked the right dogs in the neighborhood.
So I just made me feel a little bit better.
Wow.
Yeah.
And I checked my heart rate.
It was like 173.
Like I was, I was stressful.
Yeah.
I feel like as a kid, I was like very aware that like, hey, dogs could come attack you.
And nowadays when I see a dog, I'm like, surely it's,
it's not going to keep coming.
Like, I think like it'll stop.
And they just kept coming.
And they were like kind of back and forth
because there was two of them.
It was like, I'd kick one off and the other one will get a little closer.
And this guy's diving across the yard trying to catch these.
Like by the end of it, he had grass stains on his shoulder.
And so I went back inside.
And then I came back out and I was like, hey, man, are you okay?
Like he was an older guy.
But he was like, swir, no, just jump in.
And he's like, can you just hold this one?
He's like, got him by the neck.
And I'm like, okay, yeah, sure.
You're a hold.
What a beautiful redemption story.
You're holding the dog you just recently kicked.
And then he laughed.
And then like eight minutes later, he came back.
And I see him again.
I'm like, oh, he's probably coming to just a chat.
And he goes into my yard and picks up his phone because it must have fallen.
Oh, geez.
That was his cardio for the month right there, dude.
Yeah, dude.
It was like, it was just like, I was like, what just happened to my body in my, you know, like in my life?
So.
good for you are like obviously still wanting to fight and protect your dog enough to like kick these dogs but also being willing to like oh yeah and I'll take them if I need to I think I would be still in kick mode like these dogs are evil I don't want anything to do with these dogs yeah thankfully like I yanked like a like a dumbbell snatch I was just like a dumbbell snatch I was just like oh yeah I mean I just clean a jerk boom yeah I just ran inside I was like why I just stay out there kicking those dogs but yeah I just man it I mean I mean I
I was like kicking.
I was just like, you know, keeping them away from me.
You know,
like soccer kicking him.
But my dad was in the story.
I forget exactly where or when this was in his life.
But I think a dog either tried to like yip at him or bite at him or maybe he was trying to bite my sister.
And so he went to kick that dog because that, you know, just a farmer, you know.
And anyway, he missed the dog and he kicked the trailer hitch on a truck.
And he was like, I immediately got 10 times more mad.
at the dog.
Like, he made me kick that trailer in.
This was your dog, right?
Like, this was your own dog?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's so funny.
And because I go into a lot of houses now for the job,
it's like, there's so many dogs in this world.
And they're like, oh, it's friendly.
And I'm like, that dog is not friendly.
Like, I am scared to come, like, you know,
they're just like growling at the door.
Oh, don't worry.
He's just friendly.
He just wants to say hi.
I'm like, I don't think so.
A lot of
A lot of
retrievers doing that.
Just like
and then one time
so I'm at this house.
I'm trying to see if you have racism
towards dogs because clearly you don't like
the French.
I'm trying to see what else you don't like.
So I'm at this house.
And it's like, again,
I go to all sorts of locations
for my job.
Some of the houses are very rough.
Some of them are nice.
But I was at this really rough house.
Knock on the door.
You know,
and actually,
we actually can't do
what we need to do for the house because it's a manufactured home.
And so I had to disqualify it right away.
But I was just going to tell them that, hey, just so you know,
we can't do this.
He's like, well, just explain to me how it works.
And I was like, all right, like I'll just sit down here.
You know, he had like an outside table.
And so he comes out and then two giant dogs, like big dogs come out.
And so I'm always just like, you know, he's like, they're fine.
They're fine.
Everyone says that about their dogs.
They're fine.
And so I start, like, I do this little drawing when I explain what I do.
And one of the dogs,
jumps up on the table like like onto the picnic table and it's probably like a 50-60 pound dog and I'm
doing my drawing as he jumps up he's like oh sorry about that and then I look up and his balls are
I would say maybe this far away from my face I was like oh it's okay they're casting a shadow
on what you're trying to draw like oh actually you can't see it can you move the dog a little bit
anyway yeah so this is what you pay for electricity
and this is what we can do for you.
So, all right, I'm going to go.
You're like, we would love to install them facing Southwest.
He's like, what are these two big lumps?
Like, oh, wait, I didn't draw that.
So you can see there is a drop in your energy bill.
We would love to get you on a fixed cost.
Yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
That's what else.
This is great.
A cap rate, cast rate, whatever.
I don't know.
So are you a dog guy now?
Are you all in?
I think I will be an older dog guy.
Like I like, I don't love the puppy stuff like that.
She's like constantly chewing, peeing and crapping on the floor.
But I like the sort of companionship of it.
Like I like going on walks at night when she's like all tired out and calm down.
She just lays on the couch next to us.
And like I like that part of it.
So I think that she gets older and gets rid of some of the puppy stuff.
I think I'll actually really enjoy it.
Okay, so a long-standing, literally the first conversation,
on the first episode we ever did for Ghostrunners,
was a question of,
if someone came to your door today with $100,000
and said, hey, I would like to take your dog away from you.
Yeah, I promise him.
Yeah.
Easy.
It's over.
Easy.
I can buy another one for a way less than that.
Yeah, what's your number then?
Like, what's the number that would have to be?
50k.
Okay.
So 49K doesn't get it done.
Yeah, $49,000.
You're like, oh my gosh, no, that's my dog.
That's my, that's my dog.
That's my, that's my dog.
I mean, I did save its life, so it's just like, we do have a connection now.
Trauma bonded.
Maybe 20.
19 doesn't get it done, but that nice round number of 20 gets it done.
And how do you explain it to the kids?
Oh, Kula has this really great.
opportunity to go live in like a dog amusement park with this guy owns and we're going to get a
different dog eventually he's doing crazy roller coasters every day yeah it's so cool oh
that's so funny okay people are like love love their dogs you're gonna they hate that
yeah i mean i like her you know but i'm just like i don't know it's not the no yeah it's not the be-all
end all. All right. We'll ask you again in the year and see if you say the same thing.
Yeah, I feel like that number will go up the longer I have her. And the like less pup,
right? Actually just such a puppy, she's pooping and peeing everywhere. So it's not my favorite.
Yeah, depending on the day, you might say, I don't know, five bucks. Like today, today we,
today I saved her life. So the number is higher. That was the day that happened?
This morning. It's the first thing that happened to me this morning. I thought this was just like,
have a talk to you guys in a few months. Not the balls happened. Like, like. Balls happened.
a month ago. Today was the day that I saved her life. Wow. I can't believe that was today. Yeah,
it was wild. And like, I mean, like, I checked my heart rate and I was like, oh, Spike 173.
That was the moment that those dogs were trying to get me. Wow. Yeah. I was, I was like,
oh, yeah, this is a story that they've already told on walk in love over Nottie Nation.
No, I literally, yeah, it literally happened this morning. This is a ghost swears breaking news.
Yeah.
100%. Dude, this is so enjoyable.
This is great.
Oh, my.
Okay, let's do some smores.
Timon was supposed to be here.
Timons have some technical issues.
He lives out in the country,
and his Wi-Fi is just rough.
So it's really great that TJ's here because now without you,
we just have a back-and-forth smores.
Smores of goats.
And I didn't say this to use TJ,
but I think we're very liberal with the term,
or the,
that it doesn't have to be athletes, in other words.
It can be any industry, anything.
That's what I was going to go to do.
So just in general, goats.
And goat stands for greatest of all time for those that, I don't know.
There's people out there that are going to need to know that, right?
Oh, 100%.
Yeah, I don't think Brooke would know what that means.
You don't think she would?
I don't think she would.
I think she would be like, oh, yeah, that makes sense.
But she's never heard that term.
There's a friend of ours that, you know, like how,
a lot of Instagram or like, you know, content we'll have POV.
Yes.
You know, and then whatever the thing is.
One of our friends for a long time thought that that was like something sexual,
which again, there's some letters in there that could indicate that.
And we're having dinner with them.
She's like, why is everyone putting POV on their videos?
I don't understand what it means.
I'm like, what do you think of me?
She's like, I don't know.
Something.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
There's a lot of things I want to say.
to add on to this.
And I feel like,
TJ,
you've already said enough
this episode.
I can't say anymore.
I'm going to my parents' house.
Like,
what do you think?
Can I go eat?
It's what I'm talking about.
POV,
TJ's mom's your flight attendant.
Yeah.
POV,
you find this great nook
in your local coffee shop.
What's that about?
Huh?
You'll be you kicked two dogs in your yard
as a man dives for them.
Oh my God.
But yeah,
So, yeah, I think people don't know what goat means sometimes.
POV, yeah, B-O-V, you're woken up by two French bulldogs, if you know what I mean.
Oh, man.
Okay, so go.
Your dog's casting a shadow on my drawing.
Yeah.
All right, last one.
Okay.
All right, seriously, seriously.
Oh, my.
Okay.
Okay.
Honestly, I should have, I should have brainstormed.
more of these because I don't have a ton down.
But anyway,
Jake, I think you won last time.
No, you won. Artificial flavors.
You dominated.
I did? I came in last.
Oh, I'm sorry.
What's your favorite artificial flavor, T.J.
Maybe like cherry?
Wow.
That's pretty polarizing. There were like multiple comments.
They're like, I'm so glad no one chose cherry
because it's the worst. It's medicine, yet, yeah.
Because I like, I like sour candy.
So that's, that's all, that's the only artificial flavor I'm getting is in sour candy.
And I like a lot of cherry sour candy.
Fair, fair, fair, fair.
All right.
Well, I'll go first and then T.J. I'll go second.
Jake will go third.
Okay.
One one.
I got to just pick Michael Jordan.
The goat of, like, when I think of the goat of goats, I think of Michael Jordan.
I don't think there's any disputing that.
I don't think any of these are going to be that disputed.
Well, actually, that's not true.
I have one on my list that T.
TJ's going to laugh at and Jake's going to say, yeah, maybe.
So anyway.
It's the most dynamic athlete of all time, that pickleball player that your friend talks about.
Michael Jordan, I don't know, T.J's old enough that he probably remembers him for North Carolina,
but we remember on the Bulls.
Yeah, call it player, right?
baseball player.
Yeah, yeah, Dean Smith.
He's right for the Des Moines White Sox.
Anyway, let's do.
That would that have been your guys' number one pick?
No, I got a different one.
Okay.
Yeah, I actually didn't.
I was like, it's so debated now, him versus LeBron.
I tried to go, no debate.
Okay.
Yeah, I got a no debate.
Iron my up?
Go ahead.
George Washington.
Whoa.
George of all time.
God bless America.
George Washington, greatest?
You think?
Chris, yeah.
Was he the one that freed the slaves?
Dang it.
No.
Was he the one that passed Obamacare?
Yep.
That one I can never remember who did that.
George Washington.
That's my first pick.
Okay.
Okay.
General.
General Washington.
General George.
General of all time.
My first pick is going to be the goat of dogs.
I'm going with the golden retriever.
Mentioned it earlier.
Okay.
Solid.
Solid.
I think especially millennials, but anyone would agree.
It just doesn't.
doesn't get better in a golden retriever and I've never even owned one.
It's jealousy.
Yeah, it's like man.
Yeah, that's the best.
Okay.
Want one of those dogs.
And then our background snake draft.
My second pick is going to be Chick-fil-A.
Oh, it's on my list.
Is it actually?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
That's good.
Good answer.
They do it all right.
Gold retriever and Chick-fil-A.
That's a good one, too.
All right.
All right, go ahead, George Washington.
All right.
God bless him here.
The Beatles.
Yeah, good answer, bud.
Dang it.
On my list as well.
100%.
This is hard.
Okay.
Yeah, great answer.
I mean,
the greatest band of all time.
Yes, that's what we're saying.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, once again, just hard to dispute.
Hey, ghosties, check it out.
This is called, this is a segment called Body by Good Ranchers.
So they asked us.
It's called man meat right here, boy.
They asked us, hey, from now on, just once a month, can you just quickly show us what you look like and show us what you've been eating?
So, Body by Good Ranchers, that's Brad's body, and he's been eating Good Ranchers.
Brad Ellis, roughly 70 to 80 grams of protein a day, body by Good Ranchers.
Jake Triplett, I podcast from the closet right now because I can't, I'm too big, I can't fit outside the door.
Meat by Good Ranchers.
Yeah.
GRKC.
You guys know it.
Just do the thing.
American me delivered.
Good Rangers.
It's the best.
Okay.
My next two are going to be Tiger Woods.
Greatest driver of all time.
I mean, if you, people aren't going to know it.
Like, I think Tiger Woods won, was it the Masters?
He won some major championship by like 15 strokes.
Yeah.
Which is just unbelievable.
Like that is, that's beyond.
that's beyond amazing.
To beat every other golfer in the entire world
by that much is just insane.
Yeah, pretty often I feel like
a Tiger Woodstat will like come
on your algorithm or something and it's like always
insane. It's kind of like the secretariat stats.
You're like, wow, never seen anything else
like that in sports.
And my third pick, I'm just kidding, I'm not going to pick secretary,
is just in general,
you pick George Washington.
I'm picking the USA, baby.
USA.
Great answer.
Greatest of all time.
Who's even competing with it?
India?
No way.
No one's sad to take an international flight to USA, baby.
Yeah.
So,
USA, that's good.
But number three for me.
That's good.
Shoot, I just had one.
Okay, so this will be,
it was my turn, right?
Or do you go again, Brad?
Yeah.
You went twice.
No, I just went twice.
Yeah, okay.
All right.
So this is like pretty niche to a time era.
But like, I'm going to say,
actor in movies that
millennials love as kids
that's going to be the goat category
Robin Williams
Let me think of
Okay
I was good trying to try
Robin Williams
Just like
Hook
Patch Adams
All of those movies in that air
Jumanji
Like any movie
Robin Williams was in as a kid
You're like
Mrs. Dalfire
There's a banger
Yeah
Aladdin
Aladdin
Very good genie
Yeah
Patty is
like really into the audio version of Aladdin and it's because of Robin Williams.
Like she can understand like how amazing Rob. I'm like, how do you understand he's doing all
these voices? Like that's all him. And he's so hairy. It was the perfect role for him. Yeah,
so hairy. Okay, I wouldn't have put him as my goat necessarily, but I don't hate it. So
I came into this completely blind. So I'm just making him up on the spot. I love that.
I don't know if you guys remember, but I had some, uh, I had a fight this one.
I was in a dog fight.
I was in a dog fight as a participant.
In the same way that Tiger Woods is so associated with golf,
I think even more so my goat is Tony Hawk of skating.
Oh, that's a good pick.
Just like in my, at least in my mind,
just like so clearly the one one of skateboarding.
Yeah, yeah.
The only other skateboarders you even know are because of the game called Tony Hawk Pro
skater.
Yeah.
Correct?
Like,
you would not even know
those people.
Yeah, I didn't play
fantasy skateboarding back then.
Obviously I do now,
but like I did it back then.
So all I knew was Tony Hawk.
That's right.
Okay.
Tony Hawk, good answer.
I haven't thought about Tony Hawk
in a while.
Dude,
I'm stressed out.
I don't know what to pick.
Yeah,
I don't know what to pick either.
I'm going to go with
Forrest Gump.
But that's a movie
and just like a character.
Like one of just the greatest
just like characters
in a movie to like root for.
It's hard to hate a forest gum.
One of the most
quotable movies.
You can sit here if you want.
She taught me how to read.
I taught her, had a dangle.
I should have to break all the time.
Made me a bird.
So it's not far, far away.
Oh, man.
That's like in the first five minutes of the movie.
Sometimes they're just enough rocks.
Okay.
I'm up.
It is quotable, dear.
I mean, I'm just rolling through all that.
Must have me about 14 Doc Peppers.
Shrimp.
Gumbo, sure.
Okay.
I guess I'll go, I'll do sports
because I haven't done sports yet.
Tom Brady.
Oh.
He's on my list.
Just feels like, yeah.
All right.
I mean, it's hard to dispute it.
Yeah, it's hard to dispute it.
I wouldn't say I'm like the biggest
Tom Brady fan, but he is so good.
It was either him or Timbo.
I was going on the other.
Fair.
All right.
My last one, I believe I'm going to say peanut butter and jelly.
Peanut butter and jelly.
Just the classic, the best combination of the greatest of all time sandwich.
Like, who doesn't like peanut butter and jelly?
Is there people out there?
Probably.
But come on.
Give me a break.
Come on.
Most people would say that is, there's a reason that goes together perfectly.
That's solid.
Yeah.
I actually ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich last week.
Like for the first time in a long towel.
I was like, man, this is awesome.
I'm a big overflowed jelly.
Yeah, I like the jelly overflowed.
That's my, that's my move.
What do you mean?
You want a messy PB&J?
No, I want a sloppy J?
Sloppy J.
Yeah.
Just let it just drip all over your face, dude.
Is he on my shirt?
Brooke, sorry, I'm just working right now.
Can you make me a peanut butter and jelly?
Can you make it extra sloppy?
Thank you.
I'm going to get back to work.
P-O-V, you have extra sloppy J.
Jeez, dude.
P-O-V, Brooke made you an extra sloppy.
Yeah, yeah, your wife overflows on the J.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, wow.
Okay, that was good.
I almost picked Denzel Washington because I think I picked him,
I picked him on my other Rushmore I was on with you guys.
I would have been great if you could have gone just four straight Washington's.
Oh,
DeSelle, Washington State.
D.C.
I could have seen Jake, like,
Jake loves like this type of humor where he just like picks four different
types of actual goats.
Oh, I looked into it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Mountain.
Billy.
Dwarf.
I was like,
was that the thing we sent into space?
I think that was a sheep.
Shoot.
No, yeah, Dolly.
Yeah.
The goats gruff.
Yeah.
I think, and this is where I was like,
I'm not going to pick this because whatever,
but I think Patrick Mahomes is the greatest football player
of all time already.
I think he's...
Interesting.
That's a bold statement.
I know it is, but I think it's true.
Like, I think it's true.
Like, I understand, like, if you're only going on Super Bowl trophies,
then Tom Bray is always going to be the goat,
because I don't think anybody's going to get as many as him.
But I think Patrick Mahomes is that good.
Interesting.
And where do you land out?
But you land on the MJ side.
over LeBron.
Yeah, I do.
I think, and I think that's a little bit different
only because I think it's hard to,
it feels like basketball has really evolved over time.
It doesn't feel like football has evolved much
from Tom Brady's game to Patrick Bowen's game.
Maybe a little bit, but like, definitely a little bit,
but not as crazy.
Funny that like Bill Russell is never in the goat debates,
even though he has by far the most championships,
Tom Brady has the most championships to go,
oh, yeah, obviously.
Yeah.
Yeah. Well, he's a quarterback. I think, I don't know, Bill Russell.
I was like, you all, like, I can't picture a Bill Russell clip. You know what I mean?
Like, there's an element of like, I don't know. What was he playing?
He's got a little Helen Keller to him. Like, did he want to see him play basketball?
He's playing against a guy named Ginny O'Brien from the New York Knicks. You know, it's like, his plumber was guarding him.
He's five, seven.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Which people say that about Michael Jordan too. And I'm like, all right, maybe. But he did. He did.
Dorian, I think, is just so iconic.
You know, and so it's just like, it's hard.
And, I mean, he did play for the Wizards,
but you picture him as a Chicago Bull.
Like, that's where I like Kobe, too,
where it's like, you know, it was always the Lakers.
You know, LeBron definitely has been.
He was a Hornet for a few hours.
Dilute, oh, yeah, that's right.
That's how I remember him.
That's right.
LeBron has been diluted by the, all the swaps.
And now he's coming to Philly,
which doesn't make any sense to me.
He's chasing it, dude.
I mean, it's like,
Philly is a global city.
You live like an hour and a half away.
Why would you come there?
Yeah, dude, you have kids.
Just like, gosh, you live in Miami or Los Angeles.
You know, like, but.
I heard a rumor that he might live in New York and just like commute to Philly every day.
Oh.
I hate that.
Chopper.
Yeah, I think so.
Careful.
Which, yeah, careful about that one.
But can I get your guys opinion on something?
I have a few other honorable mentions real quick.
Okay, okay.
Go ahead.
Main ones were mainstream roasters slash good ranchers
because they're amazing sponsors.
And then
Cozyer and I.
Yeah, Cozier Oskine.
Yeah, no, it's kidding.
Cozy Earth too.
And then the Golden Eye theme song on N64.
Oh, just Golden Eye in general from N604.
Maybe Mario Kart.
Mario Kart might be an honorable mention.
That's a go of a year.
Yeah.
I also thought about Halo is up there.
Yeah.
Oh, dude.
Halo is so good.
I thought about different, like, I thought Tom Hanks
when I thought about, like, best actors
of all time.
Yeah.
Leonardo DiCaprio.
Yeah, that's a good one, too.
I wrote down Tom Brady, and then I immediately
just wrote down the NFL.
Superman?
Yeah, dude.
That is just the best.
It's better than it's ever been.
It's, it is the best.
It is.
It's starting.
Starting.
We're back, baby.
We're back, baby.
I wrote down, I was sorry.
Superman?
The goat?
Not my goat
Okay
Not my goat
Because you don't love
I'm a big superhero guy
No yeah he's from Kansas too
You know and uh
No I
I think Spider-Man or Batman over Superman
Spider-Man all day
Yeah
Yeah
Joey chestnut anyone
Yeah when you said
I wrote that down
When you said sports
I thought you were gonna go Michael Phelps
And I was like dang that's a good answer
Because he is undisputed
The best swimmer of all time
Yeah
Usain Bolt as well
Tanya
Like the Olympians.
Yeah, Tanya.
Wish she could have had her in the yard today.
Yeah.
I wrote down, I didn't want to write down this guy, but I wanted to write down this moment, which
is Barry Bond's getting intentionally walked with the bases loaded.
Yeah.
I feel like that is the greatest, like, show of respect of all time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then I go back to like, steroids are not.
you're amazing at hitting the ball.
Like, I understand.
All those guys were used up throwing the ball.
He was hitting at 550 feet.
He still would have hit it 400 feet, probably without hysteriod.
Like, the dude was amazing before he took him.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
When I think of baseball, my first thought for greatest of all time is Bay Ruth,
but I don't know if that's true.
I think Barry Bond's up there.
Yeah.
I think Showe will be the greatest of all time when he's done.
Maybe.
Yeah.
Maybe.
Pitching and hitting is crazy.
Yeah.
The last one I wrote down was Google.
Oh, nice.
Take it for granted.
But man, what a just champion.
Good answer.
Yeah.
Like just what's,
what's even competing?
Bing?
We talking being over here?
Hey, you're talking about Bing?
Yeah, you're going to be on me?
You're going to ask J's or what?
I mean, these days like Chad GPT
is probably taking some.
Yeah, yeah, no, 100%.
But I mean, even with Chad GPT,
Google's,
do it just fine.
Oh, last jeeves shut down May 1st,
2026.
Sorry, guys.
Dang, recently.
Bring it back.
Sorry, guys.
Bring back the Jeeves.
Didn't mean to, we lost them.
I also thought about iPhones,
like, just in general.
Oh, yeah.
That's a good one.
iPhones are the goat.
The internet.
Automobile.
Yeah.
Soap.
All right, TJ, what was your...
Okay.
Penicillin.
Just inventions.
The wheel.
So I, so I, I recorded podcasts with my friend Matt.
We recorded this morning.
Yeah, Nottie Nation.
And he asked me, he's like, hey, have you heard of this blind couple shoot thing?
And I was like, I'm sorry, what?
And he's like, well, it's not blind.
He's like, they're not blind people.
I was like, okay.
And he's like, so there's this thing called Strangers Couple Photo Shoots.
so photographers are finding two strangers
they're telling them to like come dressed up like they're going to be in photos
they're blindfolding them back to back and then they have them turn around and then
they do a photo shoot and these people have never met
and he showed it to me on Instagram and there are hundreds of videos of people doing this
and I just couldn't understand it
at all. And then I told Brooke and Brooke was like, I hate everything about that.
Like are they taking, are they taking pictures with the blindfolds on?
No, they take them off. Like if you go to Instagram and you put and you put strangers couple
photoshoots, you will see tons and tons of videos of people meeting for the first time
and then getting a like professional photo shoot together and they're like hugging and twirling
each other around. Yeah, these are like intimate photos. There's no way. Like there's what this one this guy is
shirtless in a creek. Girls safe search please. It looks like Alex Hormosey is like taking a picture
with this girl. I again, the internet is a vast machine. I've literally never heard of this.
And my my, my, the guy, Matt, who I do the podcast with, he's a photographer. And he's like, what do you
think about this? I was like, I don't know what you're talking about. Have you guys ever heard of
this? Is this the craziest thing?
Never heard of it.
I've never heard of it.
It seems like the point of it is not even about the photos.
It's to set up the phone taking video so you can get a reel out of it.
It's not even about the pictures.
It also sounds like it's like replacing hinge maybe in Los Angeles.
Like hinge isn't working.
So people are just doing this now.
Yeah.
It's like a hookup.
In some of these photos, people are like kissing each other.
Oh, B.
They're like they're like doing photos stuff.
It's B.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was like on top of this guy in a in a creek bed like this guy's underwater halfway with the flannel on what is happening dude I just like I I had never heard of it and now like and I wish I would have recorded me Tom Brooks she's like no I hate I literally hate everything about it she was so disgusting okay you and brook should do it and pretend like your strangers and then just yeah it's like and then so then I like searched I googled it in our area I was like stranger a couple photo shoots and
in Lancaster, PA, and someone was advertising
for one of them. I was like, should I sign up...
Should I sign up a friend of mine for this?
That should be a fancy football consequence.
You have to do the stranger couple photos shoot.
Where do they take these photos?
Or like, where they put them?
Yeah, like, do you hang them in your house?
Like, I have so many questions
onto where these end up, what you do with them.
Like, they're paying for this,
or they're providing, like, hey, I'll model for you
for a photo you want.
That's the other, like, I'm serious.
Your response is exactly what I did.
No way, dude.
Because we pulled up the Instagram,
like, Stranger Couple Photo Shoot on Instagram,
and we just scrolled, and there are hundreds of them.
And I just can't.
And to me, I was just like, this is like,
this is like, I don't have photos like this with my wife.
I've been married 17 years.
This is the, this is what I expect.
all of them to look like. You see this guy just like barely touching her shoulder? Those are strangers.
Yeah. That makes sense. That is okay. That looks like the cover of my Spanish textbook back in the day,
by the way. Just bright reds and colorful. Espinol too. But like this one where he's like shoving his like
nose into her ear. Yeah, POV. Yeah. You got lobes on nasal. I just couldn't. I could not fathom it.
I just...
Yeah, that's wild.
So I just, that's where we are.
Man, it just seems like a waste.
Like a waste of...
Like I get why the photographer's doing it.
Like, I'm sure the content does well on Instagram,
which definitely feels like the point.
But the one that we found that we were going to sign up our friend for
was like, making friends is hard.
You know, here's a great way to meet someone.
And I'm like, is it though?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, go play pickleball.
Don't do this.
Nothing like blind, getting blindfolded to turn around and see someone.
That's wild, dude.
Yeah.
Like, remember all the best friends you made while taking pictures at her wedding?
I feel like we're on a slippery slope as a culture.
Love is blind is getting pretty popular.
Yeah, America's getting too blind.
Yeah.
Yeah, we're too blind.
Don't tell ninja.
I was talking to my friend the other day who flies, used to fly.
all the time.
His name is Jeffrey.
I was talking about 10 years ago.
Bluebird?
Jeffrey.
Oh, sorry.
He used to fly all.
We probably talked.
This is like at least eight years ago or so.
Okay.
And I'm flying all the time.
I got a little island out on the Caribbean and I say he flies to like a Caribbean island.
Yeah, yeah.
He's got his own island.
It's down there somewhere and he's like he's flying all sorts of people down there.
Wow.
And I mean, all the time, he's got his own private jet.
And I asked him, I said, how do you, you're flying all the time.
You got to impress these popular people.
How do you stay comfortable on the flights?
And he said, it's a little something called cozy earth.
Really?
Yeah.
This was eight years ago.
At least.
I know it hasn't been in the last five to six.
Do you have emails of this or is it like over text?
Yeah, I could find some of it.
I'm not going to be able to get you everything, but I could get you like, I don't know, a third of what's out there.
Okay.
And so, yeah, there probably is like some paper trail to this conversation.
Yeah.
Where he was like, yeah, it's just there's, there's a few things I like more, but I would say cozy earth is like third on my list of like things I enjoy that makes travel easy and travel fun.
I never go to any private island without my cozy earth on.
Really?
Yeah, he has at least one one pizza cozy earth.
that every time. That's what
he told me. It's all in the
emails. We'll try to put them on screen if we
can find them. You don't have to have emails. Just do the files.
Just do like Jeffrey files.
Okay. You guys can search that and you'll
find it. So don't just take it from me. Don't just take it from Brad.
Take it from everyone who loves to be comfy
in the airport with the cozier joggers
and the sweatshirts.
You're never going to feel better.
Then saving 20% as well.
Take it from Jeffrey. That guy ran
a very large, very successful business
called Toyser Us.
Yeah, we were talking about the giraffe.
Yeah, Jeffrey the giraffe the whole time, guys, okay?
Cozieratcom slash go short, GRC, 20% off,
the best every day you could ever have.
Jeffrey approved.
We have a, speaking of blind,
we have a blind fan of Nottie Nation.
And so we, we're talking about it.
And we, you know, we talk about,
we make all sorts of jokes.
and we made a blind joke one time, and she loved it.
And then she sent us mail, because we put our address out there to get fan mail.
And it was all in Braille.
I got this two weeks ago.
I don't even think I had a time about the podcast, but she wrote a card.
It was in Braille.
The address, like, had an address, and then no stamp or anything like that.
Braille mail is free to send through the mail.
Whoa, Braille mail is free for snail mail.
Yep.
It's free.
I don't know if you need a card or a pass, but...
because we were like, did she drop this off of your house?
Like, there's no stamp on it.
And it had like a little barcode, but yeah, it's free.
So what a heck.
Okay.
Yeah, so.
Yeah, so. Because it takes so much paper.
She was like, that's why it's free because it takes so much paper.
They feel bad charging you to send a letter that's, you know, this thick.
So heavy.
Wait, so did you, you had, did it have a translation on there?
It had, so she had a key for us to translate.
So she translated a few letters, and then she had translated a sentence, and then she gave us another page that was untranslated, and we had to translate it. So I gave it to June, and she loved it.
Sweet.
Yeah.
So my card that I got two weeks ago had Braille on it, it was translated, but I tried to like, let me just try this out.
Yeah.
And, dude, that is so tough.
Everything feels the same.
They have superpower.
Yeah, it's crazy.
Yeah.
So.
Did you know Helen Keller flew a plane?
No
We talked about that earlier
The episode
I don't buy it
One bit I don't buy it
Was you with a screener
On a photo shoot
Exactly
Oh I have to stay up
Anyway
No she did
No I have not
Oh it says it on the internet
She co-pilot
It's a poor engine airplane
Co-pilots
Practically like just sitting there
Yeah my sister's a pilot
These days they just press
One button
Yeah
Take off and then
fly and then land.
Yeah.
It's kind of a three button system.
What's your podcast about, TJ?
Give a nice little plug for it.
Nottie Nation.
So my best friend, his name's Matt.
He's Asian.
He's 15 years younger than me.
And so we just get together.
It's probably similar to Ghostrunners,
where we just kind of improv and tell stories and
a lot of improv, a lot of voices.
But it's just super fun.
and we just, yeah, just fun.
Like today we did, like today's bit was like a guy that sells cards.
Like today's episode's going to be called the cremator
because eventually we ended up with a serial killer that cremated people.
So again, if you like just...
Oh, it's true crime.
Cool.
Yeah, true crime.
Yeah.
So Brooke says it's her favorite thing she gets to listen to that doesn't matter.
So it's like pretty mindless.
She can just do it while she's like, you know, on a walk.
She doesn't have to overthink it or anything like that.
So every Friday.
I feel like anybody that listens to the ghost runners would like Noddy Nation.
Like it's very, yeah, just like you guys don't take yourself seriously at all.
No.
Just talk.
Yeah.
Yep.
It's so fun.
And then I have another podcast that's more serious.
So that's the serious side and the Noddy Nation is the dumb side.
It's the dumb thing I do.
Because you guys call yourself Nottie Nation because you used to call your, that was like your name when you would play.
Yeah.
So Matt and I, we play video games together.
and we one day he just started joking like hey guys welcome to the stream you know this is naughty nation
you know uh and like get the merch like it's just me and him and we're we we carried on with his
bit for like months and brook would like brook would come up and be like who are you talking to and i'm like
oh no one matt and i are just joking and so then it just kind of evolved into like should we actually
do this and so we did so good so good i love it yeah like the merch um love it yeah
Yeah, you guys have a merch?
No.
What did you say?
What did you say about merch?
So get the merch, but we don't have any.
We say all sorts and stuff like that.
Subscribe.
That sounds like, yeah, we would always be like,
we're sponsored by this or whatever back in the day.
So good.
Jake, anything else who would talk about?
Let's just keep TJ on until the end of the episode.
I mean, like I'll stay on unless you guys want me to go.
We do wins of the week.
You want to have a win of the week, TJ?
Or Jake, you have anything else we want to talk about?
Go ahead, Jake.
Pretend I'm not here.
When of the week?
You want me to go?
You can pretend I'm here.
Yeah, sure.
Anybody.
My second daughter went to camp,
Sleepaway camp for the weekend.
Sleepaway camp.
That was a big win.
Sleepaway feels like a northeastern phrase.
I don't think we say sleep.
What would you guys call it?
Overnight, maybe?
Overnight?
Or just summer camp?
I don't know.
Sleepway is not a word that I'd say.
here very often. Some camps are like, you know, like you just go for the day. Yeah, yeah, I understand
how it works, but I mean, I just, I'm just telling you, I don't think people around here say
sleep away. Yeah, I think overnight is what we would say. Overnight, okay, she went to overnight camp
for the weekend. And it was good. It was good. And she survived and she loved it and she wants to go
again. So it was kind of awesome to see that. Good. All right, Jake, you got a one of the week.
I think my one of the week is just, I hope I continue to never take it for granted how much
much my parents and Rachel's parents get along.
Like the fact that my parents drove nine hours, like my dad's working in the car while he's
going all the way to Iowa just to hang out for a few days and then drive all the way back
on a Monday.
He's got to work in the car again just so we can hang out together.
I mean, it was so fun.
I mean, my dad's begging to like work the farm with Steve Coupe.
We all went fishing together.
That's so cool.
Just had so much fun.
And then I think it goes both ways.
I mean, Steve Kup is like begging me to make a movie where the movie is just my dad's entire life.
I mean, he just can't get over the things that my dad has done.
And I will say I learned a few new stories about my dad too this week.
I learned that he used to be, we were talking about showing pigs and, you know, ag and all the stuff.
And my dad was like, well, you would rather show pigs than judge the dairy cow contest.
They're like, what?
Because, yeah, you got to judge the dairy.
And oh, there's some bad ones in there.
It's like, what world?
Why are you judging?
He goes, yeah, there's always at least one rancid one.
And a lot of them tastes like green onion more than you think.
What?
Oh, judging me and like drinking the milk.
Yeah.
It's like, oh.
Some high school kid like barely took care of this dairy cow.
Like, here's the milk.
What do you guys think of it?
Oh, this one's actually a milkshake.
It looks a little thicker.
It's warm, though.
And then he has you, Jake.
You're like, like, picky eater.
And then my son doesn't like grilled cheese unless it's,
craft singles, you know, like, whereas he's like, yeah, it tastes a little like green onion on
this milk.
Oh, it's just, yeah, I feel like I learned even more stories and yeah.
That is cool that they get along.
That's rad.
Yeah, like actively seem to want to hang out.
That's, that's even wild.
Yeah, they're like really like, yeah, seeking it out.
So that's the special.
My and Maws get wrong with my parents, but I don't think they're actively ever pursuing
each other in any sort of way.
Right.
Yeah, like they would hang out, they have hung out without you, right?
Or like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, they talk all the time.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
That's cool.
Um, uh, yeah, I'd say one of the wins of the week.
So TJ, TJ's so important in my life because he introduced me to integrated,
which introduced me into like this whole way of thinking with like what our family looks
like and all this stuff.
Um, but, uh, yesterday we were putting together a balloon arch and Catherine
calls me at like 3.30. She's got to leave at four. And she's like, hey, where is the tip for
this thing? I need to blow up these balloons for a balloon arch. And I was like, I don't, I don't know.
I don't know if we have one of those. I don't know what you're even referring to. She's like,
okay. And I get home, dude. And I was like, I'll find it when I get home. She, this balloon arch had
at least 200 balloons that we had to blow up. And I was like, Catherine, what were you think,
like you thought we were going to just have this like just like you were going to blow these things up
and just put it together like I mean and she's passed out on the ground from the delight at it
dude I mean it was it was like one of those things that were like and I I could go into a million
different ways about how amazing she is and what all the things that she's doing it like but it was
like you did not give yourself enough time for this blue this this was this was this was an eight hour ago
project this is not a 30 minutes before you leave your makeup's not even on yet like and so all of a
sudden we just sprung into like this like family team like Henry's bringing the balloons to
haddy we get this little like tire inflator thing that we jimmy rig into like blowing up some
balloons i'm just like huffing the balloons big bad wolf in it yeah katherine's calling like bow i need a
green and a white he'll be green in a white got it you're like grab him bring it back and like genuinely
dude i was like getting lightheaded i have a like a blister like a cut on my finger from wrapping around
the balloon and tying it so many times.
I've been there, brother.
And then had he would be like, how'd he be like, all right, dad, tie this one.
Like, all right, boom, go.
You know, like, we're just like flying around.
Yeah.
It was one of those times where it was like, Catherine couldn't have done that.
We're doing it.
Yeah.
We're doing it as a family.
It's working.
Yeah.
And Rosie, meanwhile, Rosie was in the, uh, Rosie was in her room having a tantrum
cutting her hair.
So that's kind of a family team for you.
Yeah.
But, uh, anyway.
That's awesome.
It was a really fun, like, memory of like, just a great example of like, oh, we're like working
together.
hectic and like there were times where it was like bows being silly or stupid or like putting like balloons in his mouth and punching himself and say it's a punching bag or something.
It was like this is all worth it. This is all awesome. So it all worked out. And now Catherine brought it home. And so now we have a massive balloon arch in our basement that the kids are just jumping all over. So anyway, that's one of the week.
Comment of the week. I know TJ might not have a comment of the week. But I think Ellie Jennings, I'm excited to meet Ellie Jennings. Yes, she was funny last night.
yes uh in uh gulf shore she's coming to gold shores with us she talked about uh timon talked about
that uh lactose intolerant joke or story the other day in jamaica and she just commented
tyman climpsch and i laughed out loud when she said that like i i think it was already a really
funny story a really funny like thing that timon just just trying to see if he's lactose intolerant in a
foreign country is a terrible idea uh it turns out he was uh and having to you know
expel himself in this very small coffee shop in Jamaica, but calling him time in
Clemsch is so funny to me.
So anyway, that's a great comment, Ellie.
I'm excited to hang out with you.
This will be TJ's comment of the week.
TJ, care to comment on the rumors that you'll be joining us for the Ghostroarters Getaway
in Alabama here a couple weeks.
The rumors are untrue.
I will not be there.
What Jake doesn't know is that I actually did ask.
T.J.
He did ask me.
I was like I guarantee you.
I was been asked.
Yeah.
I wish I could, but just,
no,
I just can't.
I understand.
I understand.
Somebody's got a knock.
Yes,
and we've got a knock on them doors.
Yeah,
someone's going to do it.
If I get you three new solar clients by next week,
you would come or you would not go?
I'd come.
Okay.
Our referral program just went up, too.
Three grand for your second referral.
Woo-wee!
That's good.
referral program. All right. I'll figure it out. See in,
seeing Gold Shores, TJ.
My actual comment to the week is from Mitchell Bowser. Who's going to be there in Alabama
with us, TJ? You'll get to meet him. It's so cool. You guys do that. Like,
it's rad. It really is. Yeah, it's so fun. He commented, Brad was almost a Netflix documentary.
Yeah, that was great. Does TJ know that's great? Brad, do you want to give him a 60 second
I gave TJ? I had like been playing phone tag with TJ. T.J. is actually part of
this house. Yes, dude. TJ's part of the story because as we're getting in the car to leave,
I get a notification on my phone saying T.J. Moussius is calling. And I ignored it real quick.
And I feel like I've been playing a phone tag with T.J. for too long. And honestly, it's mainly
him pursuing me. And I'm just like, dude, I'm really sorry. Crazy things happening here.
Let me tell you this thing. This guy threw a freaking water bottle at the door. So, so yeah, I did tell him that.
I don't know what I told you and what I told the podcast.
It's,
there's so many details of that story
that I can't remember them all in consequential order.
But yeah, it was wild.
Every now and then,
I'll go into a house like that for an appointment.
I'm like, here's where I die.
I recently watched the movie.
Somebody mentioned Enemy of the State.
Have you seen that?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Will Smith.
Really good movie, first of all.
Yeah, Will Smith, Gene Hackman.
But after watching that movie,
I was like, if this is even like 5% true,
then maybe, may be fair of this guy to be a little bit of fairly.
And it's funny, it's like that basically has become even more true with like all the,
all the flock cameras and stuff like that now.
But that was like in the 90, or early 2000s that movie.
Wait, what did you call it flock cameras?
Yeah.
Have you guys heard about the flock cameras?
Tyler Tong has.
We have not.
Yeah.
There's these cameras called flock cameras.
And they're like basically like surveillance.
They read your license plate.
So there's a lot of like talk out there like an infringement on your free.
them, et cetera, et cetera. And people now are like finding them. Yeah. Oh, interesting. This looks like
this looks like a palatiers doing, is it? Yeah. And they're like they're like ripping them down and
destroying them. But it's just to keep you safe guys. Like do you want to be safe? Just, oh, you want to be
safe or not? It's just worth it. Yeah. So yeah. So just like very like, uh, surveillance. But like
people are like tearing them down and burning them and stuff like that out in the world because
you know they're there from there they're they're bad but i just got my license plate for uh
phoenix got some trash numbers it's like you know it didn't love the come it's like
g h n you know nine seven three or something just just not a good one's not a buying dude
yeah that's rough that's this is your odyssey that's a new line i've been thrown out of
I've been throwing that out lately.
This is my Odyssey.
Stop eating a Lotus.
Yeah, you posted about that, like, some different, like, like, just punchline.
I got a couple lines that I'm trying out lately.
That's one of, um, what are the other, hold on, let me think.
I'm mostly saying to Brooke, and she hates them.
So much.
I started saying data centers, like a swear word, like, like, like, like, how, like, how,
I would people say Obama.
I throw out as the prophecy foretold quite a bit now.
So like Brooke will be like, hey, I'm going to go to Target.
I'm like, oh, it's a prophecy foretold.
This is my Odyssey.
And then I've been saying, is it covered by the HSA?
So we have a healthy guy.
I don't know where it covers.
But any time she asks if she wants to do something, then I'll ask that.
Like, you want to go out to there?
I don't know.
Is it covered by the HSA?
So.
What did you give the Odyssey?
I feel like I saw your review on Instagram,
but I forget.
I thought it was okay.
Like I,
I,
I like parts of it,
but like I'll probably never watch it again.
That's usually my tell of like,
this is like my exact review.
Yeah.
Like it was just okay.
It was fine.
But for people that are like,
oh,
it's the greatest piece of cinema
that's ever lived.
I'm like,
no,
you're wrong.
Yeah.
Have you heard of Mrs.
Dalfire?
Yeah.
Like, come on.
Yeah.
Flubber on a Tuesday.
Yeah.
Come on.
Stop.
But yeah, I was just like, like, I feel like it was just, every time they went back to Ithaca, I was bored.
It was, the, the best parts were the parts that he shortened the most, like, every one of the, like, sort of, like, adventures on the different places.
It was like, that was all truncated and it was like, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Pretty good.
But I like Spider-Man.
I saw that one.
That one was rad.
Okay.
So.
We like rad a lot these days?
Am I saying rad a lot?
multiple times.
Yeah.
I like it.
Yeah.
For the record.
Yeah.
That's right.
You're 40,
you're 41 years old.
You can say rad if you want to, man.
Yeah.
You're darn right,
dude.
I kicked a bunch of dogs today.
Yeah,
dude.
Don't you,
like,
every once in a while you go to,
like,
you go past a certain,
like,
I'll,
I'll do whatever I want to now.
If you want,
I'm going to start using that.
That's gonna be one of the lines
I throw into Brooke.
You mean,
you'll kick a dog?
Yeah,
there was a,
I forget exactly what the situation was the other day,
but I was just,
I was fired up about something.
And I was like,
nobody better,
like,
no stranger better be mean to me right now
because I'm not going to be nice back.
Like,
like,
which is very rare for me.
But I'm like,
I will,
I will have confrontation right now.
I'm not going to say,
please.
Yeah,
I,
yeah.
I will,
I will say thank you,
but I won't say please.
I won't say it nicely.
I,
I think that's a great phrase
for just anything you'd like to do.
Like,
Brooke is like,
we got some left door.
I can heat up some left doors for him.
I'd kick that dog.
Yeah.
I can say like that, you know, that video is like, can I bet that dog?
I kick that dog.
I kick that dog is a fun, like, yeah.
Yeah, that's good.
One that I said a lot in Tahoe with Ian.
And maybe I've said this on the podcast, but anytime anybody would ask anything that's like so easily, like searchable on your phone, I would just go, there's no way of knowing.
So like, we'd be like driving by, like, we drive to the airport.
And this guy's like, is that, is that me?
like Lake Mead right there.
No way of knowing.
No way.
I like that.
It's pretty fun one.
Because it's like, does anybody know what time, you know, the grocery store closes?
No way of knowing.
Yeah, they lost.
The translation was lost centuries ago.
Yeah, yeah.
That's a prophecy for told.
That's a prophecy for told.
All right, man.
Well, thank you, TJ.
You're awesome.
You're welcome.
