Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning, Ghosties. And hello, Brad. Hello, brother. How are you? I'm good. I hate to start with something that feels like people need to get on Spotify. They need to get on YouTube to see this. But just absolutely loved this report coming out of Las Vegas yesterday.
Starting point is 00:00:19 As I mentioned on the Monday episode, Scott and Isaac are out there. Also, Andre, also Scott's wife, Sam. She's kind of there to help out for the female apparel side of things. So they're all there together. and we're kind of hearing different things about all stuff is going. And then I get this text from Isaac. He was like, I really wish you were here. You got to check this out.
Starting point is 00:00:39 So this is some text from Scott and we'll put them on screen. And I will text them to you, Brad. So Scott texted their group chat. Just woke up, be down in a few. I have never woken up with bedhead like this. You guys are probably expecting something insane, right? Well, get ready because this is tend to. more insane than anything you've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Are you able to see the pictures yet? Not yet. Oh, here it comes. Whoa, dude. Ha ha ha. Started like fake freaking out on him. Dude, I've never, ever seen anything like that. I was like, he's had bedhead. I was like, his hair is so short.
Starting point is 00:01:29 It can't be that while. also like it looks like some that's how some people do their hair I don't think that's how he does his but like that's so funny but it's not like it's like clearly out of place where like this is going one direction
Starting point is 00:01:43 this is going this direction no not at all combed it it's like you're fine you're doing just like you perfectly combed it one direction yeah it looks like you're just doing a different thing for Vegas like hey I'm just going for Vegas back
Starting point is 00:01:57 yeah we're like dude that is insane like how long did the shower even take after that. You know, he's going, you know what? If you live 35 years, you've never seen your hair stand up like that. You'd be pretty alarmed too. Listen, okay? I'm going through something here.
Starting point is 00:02:13 All right. Whatever you just, like, pointed out all these things that were not the, like, issue. Like, whoa, dude, this is your bedhead? Like, is that why you're receding hair is so far back there? Is that what's going on? Wow, you do have, like, massive bags under your eyes. He's like, no, my hair. No, no, the bed head.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Ben has just a hair thing. Oh, yeah. Your nose. Was there like blood under your nose? Were you bleeding? Is it dry there? What is that? My hair, dude.
Starting point is 00:02:38 My hair is never been like... The hair thing is crazy. Oh, yeah. Did you forget to put your dress for men in? Because I see you got some grays in there, dude. No, I'm just talking about the way it's slicked back, dude. The best part about Scott is I know he's dying, laughing at all this right now. Yeah, he's just died.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Love you, Scott. Love you, Scott. All right, we're gonna, we got not one, but two special guests. Let's roll the theme music and get to meet them. Come on. Uh, uh-oh. Ooh, I think this tight beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts in white. Me too.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Midwest best friends eating fast food on repeat. So come along. Let's have some fun and go ahead. Get on your feet because it's a ghost from a podcast. Okay, ghosties. Before we get into the episode today, just want to address something. We, look, we see your comments. We see the complaints.
Starting point is 00:03:41 You know, Jake's, Jake's Gunn Hollywood. Brad owns nine houses. The podcast, I mean, it's just so, it's so professional. It's so just top-notch. It's so technically sound. They're out of touch. You know, bring me back to the good old days. So that's why this episode, it's going to be rough at times.
Starting point is 00:04:00 That's why this episode, even though we invited two special guests to be on the episode and to be on the schmores. We just deleted one of them entirely. So you won't hear from him. We will ask him questions. We'll say, hey, it's your turn for the schmores. And then you just, you won't ever hear his pick. It just won't, it won't happen.
Starting point is 00:04:21 No, obviously, I'm kidding around. It was a complete accident. This is dumb software we're using industry standard, my foot. It just, we invited two people, Braden Parsons, Steven Swick. And hey, curiosity gap. Stick around to see which one doesn't end up making the cut. But, you know, one of them, it's like he never existed. It's like we never talked to him for an hour. So just the footage is gone. The audio is gone. I don't know where
Starting point is 00:04:45 it's at, some sort of digital rapture. But, uh, yeah, I don't know what this episode is going to sound like. Three of the four of us are going to be great. And we will still contribute as much as possible. But yeah, that fourth person just, uh, just never came through. So all good. The next three episodes after this will be in person with Brad and I in Gulf Shores with time and with ghosties. So those will be super smooth. Nothing, you know, we won't forget something at home that'll be pivotal. So anyway, just want to address that. So it's not confusing later. All right, on to the episode. Wow. Here he comes. Well, that's the whole office. What's up? Where are we here? Good to see you. Hi, bud. Where are you? You had a honky talk?
Starting point is 00:05:28 No, this is actually our podcast studio. We got. Oh, wow. That's fancy, dude. Let's go. Everything in Nashville just feels like a honky ton. So you're in a podcast studio, but not using a podcast mic? I didn't feel like setting it up. I was thinking about doing the whole camera set up and mic and everything, but can it go simple? I'm a simple man.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Good for you. He goes out. It's just the ghost owners. Who cares? Yeah. Yeah. No one's listening to this thing anyway. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Well, let's, should we introduce people real quick just in case people don't know? I mean, we have, Stephen, you've been on the podcast. podcast before. You've been with Kirstie. Stephen and Kirstie are kind of a package deal, but it's just a little bit easier on last minute to text one-on-one with a guy
Starting point is 00:06:19 than it is to text the wife about something. So it's like, hey. And this more topic specifically is good. Correct. But Stephen and Kirstie maybe our first fans we've ever had. Not truly, but like the first ones that were like,
Starting point is 00:06:35 it may be. Yeah. like it was like, I think these people really like our podcasts and we don't know them at all. So shout out to the SWIX. They're awesome. We were just talking. They just had their fifth little girl, Carly, how many months ago that was, five months, something. Yeah. Stevens the man lives in Cincinnati, just north of it.
Starting point is 00:06:58 You know, yeah. And then BP up there in the top left, Braden Parsons is, the creator of the Ghostrunners logo. I think that's a trivia fact that I don't think a lot of people even know. I don't think that's something you put on your resume very often. But Braden's been a fan for a long time. Got to meet him for the first time. I think Jake met him before this, but I met him at the getaway last year.
Starting point is 00:07:24 And he's coming back again this year to help out. He's awesome. He lives in Nashville. What's the name of the podcast? You work with that guy, Tobin. What's his name? Uh, it's called the human school podcast. Miles.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Miles. Miles. Yeah. It's not. I knew that wasn't it. It wasn't Miles. It wasn't Miles. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. A kilometer, some, some distance. What is it? What school podcast? Human school. Human school.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Yeah. I just remember whenever you met Tyler Tong last year, Tyler knew exactly who Miles was. So I think Miles in the right circles is like a really big deal. But it's one of those. things where the internet's huge and like if you don't know that circle you don't know him but like he's you mean like the right like right leaning like political circles like if you're in the right circles yeah there's supposed to be like a shotgun in the other side yeah but i mean also when tyler knew miles with all of tyler's conspiracy knowledge i was like oh no like what do you know about miles that i
Starting point is 00:08:25 don't yeah like okay what's there what what what more is there here so yeah um yeah appreciate you all for joining us for the Schmores topic. I think this one could be fun. We'll see if we have too many overlaps because I don't have that many things on my list. But I was texting, we texted both of you guys, like if you guys are available, thinking one of you would say no. And then you both said yes. And so then I was like, oh, shoot, we found somebody else. Steven, sorry. Steven, send me your list and I'll just, I'll just like do a proxy list for you, you know. And he was like, give me the link. I'm coming on, baby. So we're going to four-man schmores today. It's going to be great. The schmores is, what do we say?
Starting point is 00:09:07 The schmores of things you would be embarrassed about. Sorry, let me find it. I'll say exactly what I said. It's embarrassing to be bad at as a guy. Yes, as a grown man. Things that you're, yeah, would be embarrassed. And to be, to we clarify, like, some of these things that I have on my list are things I do know how to do. And some of them I don't know how to do.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Does it have to be things that we don't personally know how to do? Okay. Okay. Okay. The lawyer in the group is ready. Okay. I like that. Okay. No. Okay. Yeah, yeah. The more specific, the better for most of this stuff. Yeah. Okay. I feel like now that SWIC is here, mine need to be more catered towards like gun safety. Yeah, of course. Why didn't I say that? That's what Steve is mainly known for. Guys, I just feel like by the time, you know, the guy with five kids doesn't know how to use a safety. It's amazing. It's like, just so perfect, dude. So yeah, that was the best with you, Stephen. My favorite thing was when we were doing the target, like, would you shoot clays at the pheasant hunt? What? What? Okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:10:33 All right. So let's just go in this order. Let's just start. Let's start with the new guys. Let's start Stephen, Braden, me, Jake. Is that cool, Jake? Great. Hey, yeah, this is Steven Swick himself.
Starting point is 00:10:45 I'd say for my first pick, as a grown man, it's embarrassing to not be able to throw a football. Dang. That's good. I had throwing a spiral on my list. Yes, I had throw a football. I was like, that's, yes. If you see, if, I'm imagining right now the father,
Starting point is 00:11:01 like your future father-in-law meeting you, and he sees the way you throw that football. And if you throw it like you've never thrown a football before, it's bad. Yes, there were so many options. Okay, good answer. That's a good one-one. Maybe, Stephen, if you're out, if a guy out there is like,
Starting point is 00:11:27 oh, no, I maybe don't know how to throw a ball. Well, I need to impress a girl, Stephen. What would you say to them? Yeah. Okay, go back. Would you say that Joe Burrow or Patrick Mahomes would be a better person to learn how to throw a football from? Who's who's impressing the father-in-law more? Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow?
Starting point is 00:12:05 You tell me. Okay. All right, all right. That's a good one. saying grace all right turkey dear lord everything followed turkey amen you think that's how my home's praying it sounds like a cadence it was like on to on two on two you say too dear lord oh my gosh okay brayden what's your first one all right first of all right first of all right first of all, thank you genuinely. I am glad you guys pick me for this specific topic.
Starting point is 00:12:54 And I, so I went with things that were personal. I wasn't going broad. I was like, what do I, what am I not confident in? I have some traditional ones and some fun ones. I think I'll go with the more fun ones. I'll say, holding my bladder through the night. So you're telling me you have, you have personal experiences with most of these things? Pretty much all of them, yeah. Do you want to expand on those? Last night it was twice. Usually it's just once, but I always got to get up and pee in the middle of the night.
Starting point is 00:13:25 I'm like, come on, man, get it together. Like, you should have a man's bladder that just tufts it out through the night. I appreciate you clarifying, because when you said this initially, I thought you were peeing your pants twice. Like, did you guys think that? Or were you, okay. Holding your bladder? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Okay. Really? You're already, I feel like. It's mainly just sit in it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Brain's next choice is like, um, being good at changing the bed sheets in the middle of the night. I wish I was better at it.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Changing an adult diaper. Uh, yeah. Okay. So you're a, you're a big, yeah, middle of the night, go in the bathroom. Yeah. Yeah. That is funny. Why does it feel so emasculating to like have to pee?
Starting point is 00:14:08 I'll also say, I'll be honest, like, when I pee in the middle of the night, I'm not standing to do it either. Oh, come on, guys. Yeah. Yeah, I don't trust. I don't trust that. Look, Dad, I'm just like you. It's like, come on, dude. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:14:34 That's you guys, you guys and you're sitting down. Yeah, exactly. Oh, my goodness, dude. Really, in the middle of the night. You're just. I'm surprised. I don't know. Brad, you seem like a.
Starting point is 00:14:50 middle of the night peer as well. A hundred percent I am and I am a, I'm a one eye. I told you about the one eye thing, right? So you can, you can. Right. You do. You have to get there. How are you getting to the bathroom? Dude, I do it every night so it's just fill now. You just like fill the counter, fill the seat,
Starting point is 00:15:09 lift the seat, sit. Like their eyes don't open the whole time. You're basically still asleep through the whole. No, I got, I got one eye open, one hand like leaned against this cabinet in front of me. One on the trigger. Yep. and just yeah no safety safety off um yeah i don't know i've never never have i ever just like been like this is the only thing i need to do and i'm going to sit down to do it i don't know respect to you guys maybe i'm missing something i'll come back someday and say you know i was wrong i don't know
Starting point is 00:15:39 if i will i don't whatever whatever maybe i should maybe i should maybe i should uh okay my first pick i'm going to go also true to uh brad form we've talked about it a decent amount of the podcast. Backing up a trailer. Yeah. I think that's something that I have had troubles with in the past. And I think that like a true man knows how to back up a trailer. And I'm getting there, but I'm not good at it.
Starting point is 00:16:09 You're like, dang, dude. Like that guy, that guy gives his opinion to his wife and she listens quick to it, dude. Like that's nice. Jeez. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, 100%. Like, I could have, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, do it, but not very well.
Starting point is 00:16:26 I had written down just reversing in any vehicle while another man watches. Okay. Yeah, that's good too. Nobody watch me. Okay, I get two picks. I'm going to say using jumper cables. Yes, good answer. It's pretty simple.
Starting point is 00:16:47 But if you had, I think of Andy Bernard, what he's pretending to be, you know, like A. And that's that's Mr. Stephen and Mr. Braden. You want to say hi? Everybody? All right. Yes, jumper cables. I don't know. I think I do, but then I would get a little nervous about it.
Starting point is 00:17:14 So you know how to do jumper cables? No. I know. I need to teach. Because does the black go on first or second? Anybody? Yeah. Not a real.
Starting point is 00:17:33 Okay. Okay, you need to be quiet, okay? That's a good answer, Jake. And then next one, I'm going to say, like, getting any kind of, like, shot. Like, if you are, like, squirming around, freaking out, nervous, is this going to pinch? You have to be cool while getting your blood drawn, finger prick, shot, flu shot, anything. Okay. Just, yeah, being a man. Yeah, just being tough with a shot.
Starting point is 00:18:03 Oh, yeah. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something like 23-year-old nurse is like talking me down. No, it's not, it's not going to hurt. It's just a quick pen. You know, yeah. I think finger pricks are worse than shots most of the time. Yeah. But you still got to take it. It's like it's getting hit by pitch. Like, yeah, it's just, just take it. Just lean into it a little bit and, yeah, just be fine. That's good. Yeah, fair. Oh, yeah. I'm not like turned on by it. or anything, but like it's like a necessary evil.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Like, yeah, I'll take my base. Let's do this. All right. My next one, this is something I truly, if someone said, hey, you need to do this right now, I would say. Okay, give me a few minutes to look up how to do this. How to carve a turkey. I don't know. I feel like that's like a, that's like a, hey, head of the household, your host and Thanksgiving, it's time to carve the turkey. Here's the things.
Starting point is 00:18:59 I would know how to get it started. I would slice something down the middle or something, but I don't know where I'm going from there. So carving a turkey just feels like one of those things that is embarrassing not to know how to do. And I would feel embarrassed if someone said, hey, here are the, whatever, the knife and the other fork thing, just go to town.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Yeah. You feel it? Like, you would feel that, right? Yeah. Have you ever had, have you hosted Thanksgiving? That's what I'm saying. Like, somebody learned at some point. and we did not.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Yeah. And maybe it's just a matter of like, hey, fake it until you make it kind of thing. You know? You're probably right. Then you're just like cutting the wrong. Anyway. So carbon turkey is my next answer. All right.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Got some options here. I'm going to go something I'm bad at and it's embarrassing as a grown man is texting without using emojis. Like I don't feel like I can put my, get my point. across and it's not it's not drastic but it's usually like to kind of encap a text like you know laughing face just so you know this was supposed to be funny i'm not serious about this but that's good because how old are you braiden 29 okay you're not that far off but like i feel like our gender like our dinner whatever like we're like all 35ish jake's 30 yeah yeah i feel like our version of that because we were just before the emoji like craze is we just have to put l-ol and ha-haz
Starting point is 00:20:37 in texts all the time like that's that's my version of that i do that way too much too but do you okay because i'm like because i don't use emojis super often but i will i will say l-o-l like yeah i don't know we'll have to figure it out when we get their l-ol it's like this i don't know why yeah i'm a ha-ha i'm not an l-o-l i'm a ha-ha but i think l-o-well i go back for it i think there's different time. There's time for both. Back to back. Sandwich them. Put a couple.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Yeah, one at the beginning, what the end? Capital L, laughing face emoji, capital L. Oh, there you go. That's gay. That's good. That's right. All right, Steve. You get two.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Oh, hey, Steven Swick here again. Yep. Dang. Oh, I had that. Good. Yeah. Okay, that's a good one. Finding the stud.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Like, you need to be competent. That was on my list. Oh, the anchors. Acres, yeah. I know you're like supposed to find a stud, but I'm like, are you going for the stud or do you avoid the stud? What are we even supposed to be? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:58 And the stud finder also finds, it also finds the electrical cord sometimes. So it's like, is it beeping because of the stud or because the electrical cord? Am I about to? Yeah, I know. Yeah, masculating voice. Hey, Stephen again. Talking with any kind of mechanic or contractor.
Starting point is 00:22:15 Okay. Just, yeah, in general. Yeah. That's a pretty good one. Because you can't give away that you don't know anything because then they'll just, you're worried they're going to take advantage of you. But you also have to ask some questions or else, you know, they might do something you don't want it to do. That's a good word.
Starting point is 00:22:39 that's a that's similar to what I was about to say I won't take it but I had talking to more masculine men it's like sometimes you just like don't have anything in common it's like you're just way too manly for me to like try to relate to right now but along those lines i know how to do this but i'm not great at it all the time if you shake a masculine man's hand and it's not a good handshake i'm just saying a bad handshake as a grown man that's pretty embarrassing like most the time it's good but if you have one bad one i'm going with that because it puts you in your place real quick and you both know it was bad but you can't acknowledge it yeah yeah for sure and yeah and it's like can i get another chance at that dude like let me have another crack at that like I have good hands like I'm strong but somehow I got like yeah we like slipped in the wrong way and I just kind of gripped your like
Starting point is 00:23:33 get my fingers or or like sometimes there are guys that just like do it way too strong like and you're like you're trying to prove something with this and you proved it like I'm I feel like you put me in my place but you didn't have to truly last night I went to like a small group like community group things I'm meeting a lot of people And there was one guy, he was like six, seven, and his handshake was so weak. And I found myself, like, thinking about it. Like, losing focus during the, like, ours talking. Like, why was that?
Starting point is 00:24:03 What's wrong with that guy? He just didn't, he didn't really, like, reciprocate the handshake. He just kind of just put it out there for it. No, he made me feel awesome. But no, super weak. Okay. All right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:18 All right. Okay. All right. Okay. all right. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Those are two letters that you won't hear when you're talking about Main Street Roaster's Coffee. Is Main Street Roaster's Coffee good? It's okay. Said no one. No one's ever said that. They always say, is Mr. Roaster's Coffee good? It's like, oh, yeah, yeah. It's the best. There's usually a long exclamation of how it feels, and you say it's the best. It's the best. It's the best.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Yeah. Sip it on a little coffee right now, Americano, apparently. So I'm tasting even more of it than normal. And it's going down easy. It's going down easy. And the people that own mainstream roasters, they're Americanos as well. That's right. That's why we like supporting them.
Starting point is 00:25:19 Indiana. La Indiana. Law Dundermethon. And before that, La Indianapolis. Yes, mazerosters.com. They're wonderful ghosties. They're wonderful. Yeah, just small business, small family owned and operated.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Mainsteroasters.com. GRKC, 10% off. For the best beans, the best single origin, coffee. You want some blended coffee, some flavored coffee, K cup. ground, beans, you know, you get it. They're all right there at mainstrocer.com. promo goes GRKC for 10% off.
Starting point is 00:25:57 What else do you want to know? It's not just okay. It's the best. Yes. All right, my next one, man, I think I'm just going to, I don't know how to do this either. Changing a tire.
Starting point is 00:26:13 I think that's embarrassing, not to know how to do. Just in general, yeah, I don't. I don't know how to do it. I think it's embarrassing. I think my father-in-law would be like, you don't know how to change a tire. So there's a lot of things on the car that I don't know how to do.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Not a car guy. Swick, I thought you had, I thought you had more of it was going to say. Y'all know how to? Oh, yeah. Yeah? Yeah? I've never been in a situation
Starting point is 00:26:48 where I needed to change a tire. And I hope I never am. What? No, I just dodge him. Just dodder him, dude. Yeah, the software does it. It knows. Brad, I think you'd figure it out in crunch time.
Starting point is 00:27:06 That's what happened to me. I got a, like, mine went so flat instantly, and I just had to figure it out. And once you get the spare out and get the jack and everything, it has the instructions right there. Really? Okay. Yeah, I'm not saying I couldn't. Yeah. Where do you?
Starting point is 00:27:23 Where does it connect? Yeah, that sounds like a big step, dude. That's a pretty important thing. Yeah, yeah, I'm confident I could figure it out, but I do not know how to right now. And that's embarrassing. Like not knowing how to change the tire. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:27:40 I'm going to finish with two that are pretty relatable to myself. I'm going to go with swallowing a pill and being allergic to steak and bacon. Oh, yeah. It's pretty emasculating when you have to tell people. Especially when you say, hey, yeah, the, uh, thing is called alpha gal. That's like the worst name for something that you're allergic to steak and baked. Yeah, like is it this alpha thing or is it?
Starting point is 00:28:07 It sounds like it's for women. I'm a little confused. Yeah, those are two big ones. The steak one would be the hardest. It's like, hey, we're, we're having a men's night. Everyone's getting their own, you know, 20 ounce porterhouse. Yeah. It's like, can I please have a turkey burger?
Starting point is 00:28:27 Yeah. Bummer. Good answers, Jake. That's good. All right. My last one, I'm just going to go, I'm going to go. They're all so similar, but different. I'm going to say tying a tie.
Starting point is 00:28:43 I know how to do that one, but I think that's a big one. Like, you got to know how to tie a tie. Like, that's, that's the other side of, like, the gentleman's thing. Like, there's certain things that are, like, manly traits in one, like, the physical, hey, we got to know how to change attire or, you know, backup a trailer, but this one's like, hey, you're a gentleman, you got to know how to dress up and act
Starting point is 00:29:05 like a gentleman. You got to know how to tie. So, I think my father-in-law would be embarrassed if I, if I didn't tie tie well. I would be embarrassed. I'm going to judge my future son-in-law if he doesn't tie-tie-well. As you should. So,
Starting point is 00:29:23 who's that? I got several honorable mentions, but for my last pick, I think I'm going to go lifting with my legs. Like, I feel like when you're moving things, you got to be able to lift heavy things. And I can do it, but I don't even know what I'm using, but I assume it's my back. Everyone tells me to lift with my legs and I'm just so hunched over. I'm like, I'm trying. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:51 You feel it when you lift with your back, but you also feel good when you lift with your legs. And I definitely uplift it with my back more than I should for sure. Yeah. Yeah. That's the answer. I love that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You get more pick and then you get to say them all.
Starting point is 00:30:09 Yeah, yeah. Hey, this is Steven Swick back again with another, my final pick. I'd say being able to be left home alone with the kids, it's pretty embarrassing if you can't take care of them by yourself. And I don't know what else Stephen said here, but I bet it was pretty funny. That's fair. Yeah, like I had on the list like change a diaper. Like as like not masculine as that is, it's like almost, it's more embarrassing though if you don't know how to do it at all.
Starting point is 00:30:36 Like it's like, come on, dude. Like that just means you're, you don't, you're telling me you don't even know how to do it as a, maybe not as a non-dad. Yeah. Like, what are you doing? Yeah, I can't go to the park and come back with, you know. Yeah, that's good. I like that. Okay, let me read these off real quick.
Starting point is 00:30:56 So the category, once again, I want to make sure. I know exactly. It is things that are embarrassing to be bad at as a grown man. Stephen said, throwing a football, hanging anything on a wall, talking with a mechanic or contractor,
Starting point is 00:31:12 not being able to be left alone with your kids. Braden said, holding his bladder through the night, texting without using emojis, bad handshakes, lifting with his legs. Brad said, backing up a trailer, carving a turkey, changing a tire, tie tie tie. Jake said, using jumper,
Starting point is 00:31:28 cables, getting any kind of shot, swallowing a pill, being allergic to steak and bacon. That one is, that one might be win it for you right there. Yeah. All right. So honorable mentions, I think, one that I, I don't know why I didn't say this, but grilling, like just in general, like knowing how to grill, if you don't know how to grill as a grown man, I think you got to, you got to learn. It's not that hard and it is like emasculating. If it's like, hey, do you mind grilling for us tonight? Like, you know, it's like, I don't know how to start the grill. It's like, you know.
Starting point is 00:32:03 So, because that was me for a while. When we first got married, I remember we had like a family vacation. They're like, all right, Brad and Catherine are going to do burgers on the grill. And I'm like, okay, I think I know how to do that, but I'm not confident. And what if I just, okay, I could, I could, yeah, I can separate the buns. Are they kind of pre-cut already, you know? Yeah. I'm really, yeah, try the honey mustard, guys, it's homemade.
Starting point is 00:32:34 So that's one that I have. What else you guys have? When West Jet first took flight in 1996, the vibes were a bit different. People thought denim on denim was peak fashion. Inline skates were everywhere, and two out of three women rocked, the Rachel. While those things stayed in the 90s, one thing that hasn't is that fuzzy feeling you get when West Jet welcomes you on board. Here's to West Jetting since 96. Travel back in time with us and actually travel with us.
Starting point is 00:32:58 us at westjet.com slash 30 years. Let's talk about how when you go to the target, like the practice range, it's like, all right, the skee comes out, you try to shoot it, you miss it. You might try to shoot it one more time. And it's like, all right, I'll get the next one. And when Steven Swick says pull
Starting point is 00:33:31 and he misses the first one, he has like five more in the chamber and just boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Just unloads the clip. You ran out of ammo so much faster than any. Like we were three, we were three clays into it. And you're like, uh, guys, I think I'm out of ammo. It's like, everyone else is to reload.
Starting point is 00:33:54 I don't know if I hit one. But you shot it, maybe. You, you went, you went for it. Oh my gosh. That was great. Yeah. That's a good one. What else you all have?
Starting point is 00:34:07 I've got a handful. I got a, uh, starting a fire. Like, I can start a fire. But then if you ask me how I do it, it's like, well, you get a bunch of dry sticks. And then, lighter fluid and a bunch of newspaper. It's like, is that actually like how you certified? Fair.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Yeah. Tristics are necessary. You have lighter fluid. Seeing manly movies, like when I tell people I haven't seen Braveheart or things like that, like I feel like I'm definitely getting judged. Would that be a good schmores? Just like manly movies you haven't seen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:37 I'm sure there's a lot. Yeah. But on a similar note, making it through movies without crying. Like I cry at movies a lot. Like to the point. I can even admit, at the end of one of Nate Bargettsey's specials, I teared up a little. Oh, crying emerging. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:34:55 But, I mean, he was like backstage giving hugs to his daughter and all his friends and stuff. I was like, that middle Tennessee boy did it. I was like, I don't. No. So that brings me to my next one, not having a wife. So when you're with grown men that have wives and you're like, I went on a first date the other day. It's kind of It's gonna be the one.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Yeah. I didn't Yeah. Yeah. So Braden's gonna be just absolutely Yeah, should we be worried about Braden? Yeah, once you're married and have,
Starting point is 00:35:36 dude, yeah, your wedding, you're gonna be, you're gonna lose it, dude. Yeah. Yeah. And then I have using like as a filler word. Mm. I wouldn't know. That's good.
Starting point is 00:35:50 that's good uh let's see what else i have i had oh ratchet straps like using ratchet straps well um i said yeah i put finding a wall stud parallel parking changing your oil and the other one i almost picked this one was drive a stick shift i don't i don't know how to drive a stick and that's that's that's something i'm like i think i'm too far gone i don't think it's i don't think it's in it's not it's not it's not going to happen for me can't teach it no it's too late it's too late in the game so I'll just not buy cars that need that, I guess. You guys have said most of mine, but I still got a few hour homages on here. Needing someone to get the fish off the hook for you.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Yeah, fishing. Fishing in general, dude. Like, yeah. That's the safety on this thing. That is next level, though, to be like, you catch the fish and you're like, oh, it's kind of gross. Like, I don't know. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Somebody else. Yeah. And then what happens is another guy comes and gets it for you. And that is that is emasculating. That's good. Putting in eye drops. Tell me more about that one. I don't know if I've ever had to do it.
Starting point is 00:37:19 But I feel like I would not handle that well. Okay. And if I get something a man should handle well. Huh. Yeah. Yeah. Brayden doesn't need, you know, extra of moisture. coming out of his eyes. He's got plenty of it.
Starting point is 00:37:31 I do eye drops every morning. Maybe I should just stop. You do them every morning? Yeah. Like as a health, like a wellness thing? Like, I just get dry in the middle of the night. Maybe because I'm not opening them to go pee. So just put them in before my contacts, a little drip drop. Okay. Every morning. I bet you're very manly at putting them in then. That's good. I'm pretty great at it. And then last one is just like, The ability to be comfortable around bugs, if you're bad at that, that's embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:38:05 If you're freaking out about a maw, that's so embarrassing. That's a good word. You've got to be cool around bugs. That's a good word. Yeah, it is like a spider comes in and you're like, yeah, you jump up on the couch or something. Yeah. Or even just like a June bug lands on your shirt. Look at it.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Hang out for a little bit. Flick it off. Flick it off. You can't spazz with bugs. you can't like take your shirt off. People will think it's weird. Who's making the noise? It's not me.
Starting point is 00:38:36 I'm sorry, guys. I'm sorry. I'm still working here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, you guys are awesome. Yeah. Anything. Like a question?
Starting point is 00:38:50 Yeah. I like that. Having to ask anything. Just like, can we get some silverware? Like, they didn't even bring you somewhere. But yeah, having to ask. at all? I think maybe asking twice. That's rough.
Starting point is 00:39:17 Okay? Basic math. Yeah. What about just like in general, now I'm just thinking of things that I'm embarrassed for my father-in-law when this happens. But like if he asks me something that's like an adult related question, like as in like, you know, what kind of insurance do you have on this or what's your rate on this? And I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:44 and it just shows me that like it shows him that like I I just kind of signed I just got a docu signed on this you know like that's pretty rough what it's like don't like
Starting point is 00:40:01 here comes up in the middle there yeah yeah don't get him started on Nate dude any other any other things you've cried at Braden that like like obviously like the obvious ones you know
Starting point is 00:40:19 ones that are supposed to, but like, that one got me. Have you ever created a commercial? Oh, yeah. Commercial, Heisman speeches, songs, like, a lot of stuff. Yeah. Are there, what are your go-to songs if you need to cry? What's a song that will make you cry? Well, I have a song that I won't play at my funeral, and that'll get you.
Starting point is 00:40:45 It's called I Wouldn't Be by Codeline. That's a good one. but another one is um colony house stephen curtis chapman's sons you're going to get all get it all spiritual on us now stephen curtis chapman's sons they have a band one of the guys in the band one of the sons hit one of their daughters with his car when he was in high school it killed her and so like their whole first album is like dealing with the guilt of that so they have one song um i can't even remember the name of it but it's like a slow sad song about dealing with the guilt of it And then they have a happy song right out there, like how they found life through Jesus and how it brings them joy and how he can breathe again and, like, continue to live life because he found a life that gave him reason to live.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Yeah. Gosh. I know. Yes. That's a reasonable. Cinderella's Stephen Chris Chapman's song. Yeah. Yeah, but Colony House is Stephen Chris Chapman's band.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Yeah. And that's like a wedding song. It's all about the same incident. it's called it's called dive i think yeah it's um i'm going deep i think yeah settle up your horses anyway uh no i yeah that's a good oh oh yeah if you're bad at that oh yeah you can't pass that buck yeah or even i take a step worse is like being called on prey and then like passing it off to someone else oh yeah yeah don't do that's right easy they're special all the way over i'm not popcorn jake popcorn jake oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:42:59 really liking it, really going to miss it when we go to Alabama. The bed sheets. Oh, the bed sheets. Oh, the bed sheets. It's worth it. It's worth however much you need. You need just the pillowcase. I bet that's worth it.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Eat a whole top sheet, I bet that's worth it. You need everything. You want to buy a cuddle blanket with it too and some loungeer. It's worth it. Because you're going to take 20% off with the promo code GRKC, sitewide, as many times you want. Continue taking 20% off every time. It's amazing.
Starting point is 00:43:29 It really is worth it, dude. Like, we're not just, we're not just B and S. we're not just blowing smoke. We're not. I mean, it truly is, like, I was lying in bed the other night and just thinking, it's unbelievable how comfortable I am right now. Like, unbelievable how soft these sheets are. They're just the best.
Starting point is 00:43:49 So, uh, cozierth.com slash go-starters, GRC 20% off. Check them out today. Okay. Good idea, bad idea for us to now flip it and try to, on the fly think of what this list would be like for women. Good idea about it. Yeah, let's do that. So you're saying things that are embarrassing,
Starting point is 00:44:10 oh, this is actually a bad idea, but let's do it anyway. Things that are embarrassing if a woman doesn't know how to do them as a grown woman. Stephen, you start, bud. I know. Okay, folding laundry. nursing a child is that what you said uh that's probably real i don't know yeah i think i think i was gonna say
Starting point is 00:44:41 that's the thing like all these things are just like oh careful um i don't know maybe it's like um things as a is a wife and mother that people would expect you to be good at and you're not so like if you are bad at like uh or like if you forget your kids like teacher's name that's probably embarrassing. It's like you're the mom. You're like expected that stuff. The dad can forget that. Yeah. Yeah, I'm just trying to think of all the, like, I don't know, just like in general.
Starting point is 00:45:15 These are all just such traditional general things, but I guess that's what we're doing with the guys. And it wasn't offensive for guys, but now that we're trying to say it for girls, it's like, oh, no, no. But like, yeah, but like, we had, we had conversations the other day of like, like, how I'm just thankful that Catherine is good. And like I contribute a lot to this.
Starting point is 00:45:36 But like of like we try to keep our house clean. Like like keeping it like anyway. And she takes pride in that. And I think it would be embarrassing for her if she was like if somebody came in and her house was just just absolutely. Like obviously we have we have kids. Correct. Yes. There's a difference between dirt and yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Like I'm looking around right now. There's, you know, a hundred. things that could be put back right now. But that doesn't bother me nearly as much as like, oh, this house just has like, yes, nasty dishes everywhere or something like that. So I don't know. Make up, like I'm sure most girls would be bothered
Starting point is 00:46:20 by not being knowing how to do makeup well, right? I'm like, this is so uncomfortable, dude. Yeah, Jake's just a genius. Like, watch this. I will say right before I walked in, to this podcast. I was holding a baby out there. And I think I did pretty well. But I think if a woman doesn't know how to hold a baby well, I think that's a pretty good. We're just having favor with a baby, like in general. I think that's like that'd be embarrassing. Like the baby
Starting point is 00:46:49 likes my husband more than it likes me. Oh yeah. That's, I forgot to say it. That was an arm mention I had for the guys one was like dogs not not liking you. Yeah, that's embarrassing. It's like the dog doesn't take to you. Yeah, that's good. Um, yeah, yeah, I don't care for God. What about just like as a girl not being a reader? Like I feel like girls love to read. And if they don't, it's like, uh, I don't read. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:23 Like, is that embarrassing for girls? That's pretty good. I think so. I think that was a safe one. We can keep that one in. Girls let us know in the comments. Yeah. Give us five stars if you don't read, girls.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Yeah. All right, let's do one that's easier. Things are embarrassing me bad at if you're trans. All right, great. What do you think? Ooh. I think it depends on which way you're flipping. Like, if you're a guy not dominating in girl sports, then...
Starting point is 00:48:05 Yes, dude. It's embarrassing. What's the point? That's good answer. Good answer. Yeah, that's good. All right, boys. Thank you guys for joining. Anything else, Jake, before we sign them off?
Starting point is 00:48:24 No, that was great. I'll have to bunch. Thanks for joining it, boys. Last second. Yeah, that was great. Yeah. Timing was sick. So you guys are the...
Starting point is 00:48:32 Thanks for pushing through. You guys are the second and third options after timing being sick. I was texting timing this morning, trying to talk them again into coming and working for our podcast. but he uh he's a tough cookie something about kansas city just keeps them here i don't know what's it called buc Cyrus busyris baby yeah like once you move your podcast here man you know what's nashville got that kansas city doesn't honky tonk studios this is literally this is wood from an old tobacco barn that was on our campus we have like a mental health
Starting point is 00:49:07 campus this is wood from an old tobacco barn that we tore down and that's what i'm talking about here so that's pretty manly. Yeah, dude. I didn't hang it. I didn't do it, but I could have. Could have done it. Yeah. We should have said something about that for, yeah, things are embarrassing is like not having
Starting point is 00:49:24 any knowledge of tobacco, you know, or alcohol or whatever. I don't know. Like something about that. Is tobacco bad or is it nicotine or is nicotine naturally in tobacco? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, fair. All right.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Thank you guys. We're going to finish up here. but this is where you leave us. I'm just kidding. I'll see you all in a few. Yeah, soon, bro. Stephen, you want to come to get away? Get away from those kids of yours.
Starting point is 00:49:51 Come on down. Session 30, baby. Whatever. Yeah, we'll find room for you. Yeah, yeah, it is. Bring the whole family. I dare you. You won't.
Starting point is 00:50:05 Think about it. Think about it. We'll make it happen. The big old van, baby. It's awesome. Awesome. All right, guys. Yeah, thank you.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Love you too, man. We'll see you. Adios. All right. That's always fun. Oh, Stephen's still here. Get out here. He's frozen on the screen.
Starting point is 00:50:28 That's great. I hope he stays right there. Hey, you want to come say hi to Mr. Jake? Hello. Hello. Lunch. Yeah, I did. None.
Starting point is 00:50:47 And I had a roll. Sounds good. Yeah. Unsifted, you know. That's what we do. Okay, you can show me after I'm done with the podcast. I'll be done kind of soon, okay? No, not right now.
Starting point is 00:51:12 That's fun. I like having those guys on. That was a blast. What else we got on the list here, Jacob? PSA and all the ghosties. Have you seen that Facebook groups has their own app now? Oh, okay. I tried it out.
Starting point is 00:51:31 It's not bad. It's like a little less like it's, you know, Facebook just sucks you in with stuff you didn't ask for or whatever. You know, there's like, yes. There's still a feed, but it's only of the groups you're a part of. So it is a little easier to get to like Ghostrunners and to see Ghostrunners things. But it also reminds you how many like crap just groups you're in.
Starting point is 00:51:50 because now I wonder what only groups so it's just like why am I in Tesla owners of KC I don't ever remember joining that what what is the purpose of it you know so yeah you're seeing a lot of junk in there yeah they're gonna start like like suggesting content from suggested groups to you I hope not but yeah it's called forums okay so if you're out there looking for like just an app for the Facebook group could be helpful to ghosties yeah that's a good word um cool what do you what do you know about peptides they're all the craze people are talking about them yeah I mean there's with any trend or fad there's gonna be a lot of people who like
Starting point is 00:52:33 have a lot of good things to say about them and that's why they are a fad but when I've talked to people who know stuff about the human body and health and nutrition they say I don't know it's a little too early kind of thing like yeah you look at some like creatine, it's like the most studied supplement to ever exist. We know so much about it
Starting point is 00:52:55 and are still learning things about it. And it's like peptides have been around for, I don't know, a couple weeks, let them rip. Yeah, you'll be fine. So no, I'm not on any peps. You're not, you're not pepping yet. You don't have any pepping your step. What do you know about them? Not much. They talked about them a lot at Tahoe, these guys that were doing just fine and looking pretty good. But yeah, I don't know. I don't want to inject anything, dude. I don't know. Is that who it is? At least these guys were. Peptide to me sounds like a something like a pep, like a something you put in it, it will dissolve in your drink or something. Yeah, Pepsid AC or something. That's why I was like peptide. That's fun. And maybe some of them are ingestible that way, but I'm like,
Starting point is 00:53:40 I think they're, they're shooting them up. I don't know. Yeah, I know very little about. I don't even know like the intended benefits of it, but I know a lot of strong guys are recommending it. Yeah, that and TRT, all that stuff. TRT is just steroids, though, right? I don't know if it's considered steroids, but it's testosterone stuff. It's like adding testosterone to you.
Starting point is 00:54:02 So maybe. Maybe all things. I don't know. I don't know. But then I hear like if you get on TRT, you're like addicted to it or like not addicted to it, but your body won't produce it anymore without this stuff,
Starting point is 00:54:15 so you're kind of dependent on it. Once again, you got to shoot it up, though. I don't want to, like, you said, like, the idea of, like, somebody giving you a shot and you got to be a man about it, I'm totally fine with somebody else giving me a shot. I would never voluntarily do it to myself, though. That sounds 10 times worse.
Starting point is 00:54:33 It feels like self-harm or something. It's like, it's hard to, like, probably gear up for that. Yeah, I don't know. Like, yeah, anyway, so. I just had it written on the list for Tahoe. and I never talked about it. It was like peptides, people talking about this all the time. It kind of reminds me, Scott and Isaac came back from Florida,
Starting point is 00:54:49 which they were in like kind of the Palm Beach, Boca Raton area, which is where probably 80% of all pro-pickball players live. They're all right there. So they just interact with a ton of them, and they came back and said, so one of the things we learned on top of a bunch of other stuff is like, I think like most pro pickleball players are all on Adderall.
Starting point is 00:55:11 And so we were kind of talking about that. like all it probably takes is like a couple people like they get on adderall and they play really well and then every other pro player is like yes i'll try it what is it i don't know enough about adderall like it just it just heightens your awareness or yeah just focus i guess i don't know how harmful it is it feels pretty easy to get addicted to and hard to like ever wean off of it but yeah i thought that was interesting and i almost equated it to like what I've heard about the cycling world back in the Lance Armstrong days. Like once a couple people start doping and it gives them a 10% edge, you know, it's like,
Starting point is 00:55:53 well, I kind of don't have a choice. If everyone's going to do it, I can no longer compete with them. Like, I have to do it. Yeah, that's a bummer of a real, that's a bummer of a conversation. Like, yeah. Internal conversation you have to have yourself. Like, well, I could either do this thing that's potentially harmful to my body and compete or. Or no longer. quit this thing that I've been trying to do harder than anything else in my life. Yeah. Yeah, that's wild. I wonder just, yeah, that would be a fun thing to hear from high-level athletes,
Starting point is 00:56:26 like how much stuff they're consuming. Yeah. Because even like when you hear about, was it Toridol, you know that? Oh, yeah. That was always the thing that people would, like, NFL players like from back in the day would be like, oh, he has a bad ankle sprain. they'll just shoot some tort all in there and he'll be fine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:45 It's like they're just doing stuff like that all the time. Like where people are coming out and like how like freaked out are these people? Yeah. You know? What have you done? What have you not done? What are you tempted by? Like Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL in December and he's going to start in September.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Like that's a crazy fast turnaround. Like how did he do that? What's going on? What kind of doctor? What kind of need do you have? Yeah. And who knows? I mean, because Adderall is like primarily just focus,
Starting point is 00:57:17 maybe every professional athlete and every sport is on Adderall because it's just like, yeah, it gives me a 5% edge. Why would I not? You know, I can focus on the pitcher's arm slot being a fastball or a curveball, just slightly better, you know, like, yeah, who knows what they're all doing? Not me. Not me.
Starting point is 00:57:35 It would be hard, though, like, yeah, you could really Billy Bean's Sabermetrics, that thing and be like, hey, this will give you 2% here. but if you do this plus that that that's 6%. You can do this, that, and this, that's 15%. But you're telling me you wouldn't want to do that. Yeah. It's like, oh, but I really like cheese steak. I really want to eat one of those every once in a while.
Starting point is 00:57:56 But then you watch videos of Michael Jordan back in the day like having a beer before the game. It's like some guys just have it, I think. Yeah, who is that? Is it Joe Namath? Joe Montana, just smoking at halftime? Joe Montana. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Or no, Lynn Dawson. It's a chiefs. Oh, that's right. That's why I could, I was like, it feels old, but I feel like he was in red. Yeah. It's Lynn Dawson. Was it the Super Bowl? Half time the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:58:24 Yeah. End up winning. So you tell me. There you have it. Anyway, that's been a peptide talk. That's the sound. M. One more.
Starting point is 00:58:49 That's pretty good. That's the sound of cow makes, also known as moo. Also, in my book, one of the more accurate automata peers. I've probably mentioned that before. There's a lot of them that don't make sense. Bark, bark, bow, wow.
Starting point is 00:59:12 I don't think so. Yeah. But moo? Pretty accurate. Yeah. And that's the kind of accuracy that good ranchers has when they describe their organic, non-GMO, non-hormone,
Starting point is 00:59:25 non-added, you know, antibiotic, clean meat. It's also accurate. Non-gium. Yes. People like to say if these walls could talk. You know what I want to hear? If these cows could talk, they would say, hey, if you're going to do it, do it with good ranchers.
Starting point is 00:59:52 Yeah. Let me do it on my home turf. Yeah, do it. Do it in the United States. Take me out here. Yeah. Bury me with my brothers. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:02 Take me out by the shed. I want to die with my, with dignity, and I want to do it with good ranchers. If these cows can talk, that's what they'd say. I've lived a good life. I've lived a good life. Yeah. I've been fed right. I've been a good fight.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Yeah, it's time. It's time. Take me away. So I think if the cows could talk, if the chickens could talk, if the wild caught seafood could talk, if the pigs could talk, they would say, you're going to buy it anyway,
Starting point is 01:00:29 you might as well buy it from Good Ranchers because you're going to get your money off, it's going to be good for you, it's going to be clean, it's going to be affordable, and it's going to taste really, really good. Yep. So it's GoodRangers.com.
Starting point is 01:00:40 Animals. Yeah, take it straight from the cow's mouth. Right, driven the pigs beak. Good Rangers, yeah, straight from the pigs now. Good Rangers.com, promo goes, GRKC. You guys know it. You guys love it.
Starting point is 01:00:53 G.R.k. At good ranchers.com, you're going to get a free protein add-on for life as well as a discount. Please support us and support Good Ranchers. We would really appreciate it. And yeah, just doing the right thing.
Starting point is 01:01:06 So GoodRancher.com. American meat delivered. Epiteite talk. Let me get your quick take on this. This is this story from Iowa. I forgot to share last week. I was catching up with Tommy Coop, Rachel's older brother.
Starting point is 01:01:16 And I've talked about him before because he's kind of, you know, in the process, he's taken over the family farm. That's what he does. But on the side, I've mentioned before that he's got this whole business that like continues to just like take off and be like a pretty cool side hustle where he is just like flipping lawnmowers and small tractors. You know, and half the time he's just like running him off with a hose and just taking better pictures.
Starting point is 01:01:37 And then that's all it takes. And, you know, so I was talking about that and how that business is going. I'm fascinated by it. And he goes, dude, just yesterday, I had a guy show up to the house. He drove all the way from South Dakota. a, you know, it was like a, I don't know how long the drive is, six hours one way, just to come look at a lawnmower, didn't end up buying it, he just wanted to look at it, and he did so with no shirt on. Like when he drove, like when he pulled up, his shirt was already off. And then he,
Starting point is 01:02:08 he did the entire like 45 minute long inspection, no shirt on. At one point, Tommy said his back started itching. So he just rubbed it on the lawnmower while he's inspecting it. He just, rub his hair skin and then best part of it all uh i was like uh his name on facebook is sores with eagles first name swords with last name eagles i was like that's awesome i love that in this business these are the types of people that you you deal with source skit character dude shirtless swords with yeah sores with oh my gosh yeah yeah he's like, I don't want him to know my real name. I think I'll put this in there.
Starting point is 01:02:56 And I don't want him to know how I dress. Yeah, that's the kind of guy that does not have a picture of him on the profile picture. Like he's got to be like, like a, yeah, support our troops or something like that. You know. Yeah, a weird over-a-eyed bald eagle. AI has really like, AI has been wonderful in a lot of things. I'm done with the AI generated pictures thing. Like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:22 It's too much. It's too easy these days. We need to at least pay for them so that less people are to use them. AI pictures of any kind. And also like flyers and like graphic design, it's getting disgusting. I agree. And I don't know how people don't see it or don't see that they're blending in with everyone else. I think, cool.
Starting point is 01:03:42 I put all the details. It looks pretty good. It looks exactly like everyone else's. Oh, my. Yeah. Once again, the Lenoxa picture. ball page just every time I see it. Oh, what a great follow that guy is.
Starting point is 01:03:56 Have you seen how he's like obsessed with rally ball right now? Yes, dude. I love following along. Oh, I'm glad you've seen it too. It's like he has like it's like it's like it's like he has a stake in this business or something. Like he's got to. He's trying to promote this new way of playing tennis on a pickleball court with, no, it's tennis rackets with a pickleball ball maybe.
Starting point is 01:04:19 So about six months ago. this old tennis legend, his son plays professional pickleball, he's a tennis guy. Isaac and I randomly met him in Los Angeles a year ago, but he says, I've invented a new sport called Tipty, and it's like a really soft tennis ball, almost like a, looks like a dog toy or something. And it's like a kind of a hybrid-looking tennis racket. It has actual strings, but you play it on a pickleball court. So it's a way to like utilize all these courts that are being built. And anyway, he invented this whole new sport.
Starting point is 01:04:49 It's called Tipty. And then this Lenoxa guy comes out a month ago And it's like, new sport just dropped. It's called rally ball. And then he shows you the racket. And the racket says tippedy on it. And everyone's like, dude, this is this is not your sport. Seriously?
Starting point is 01:05:02 I was about to make that joke. Like, yeah, you use a tifty ball and a tippy racket. And it's called rally ball. But that's actually what's happening. So from what I could tell, because I'm like, dude, this is, how are you even like justifying this even in your own head? I guess the scoring is different. I've seen them in the comments say that.
Starting point is 01:05:18 Yeah, it's a little like. Tipty, but the scoring's different and way more fun. Man, we should get him on the... I should befriend him and then get him on the podcast sometime. Oh, he's a hoot. He's insane. That's so good. Yeah. So he's a swords with eagle kind of...
Starting point is 01:05:38 Oh, yeah. It's a Facebook guy. I can't imagine going six hours and then not purchasing it. The willpower that took that guy. Or the fact that this lawnmower must have been way worse than he wanted it to be. I forget the story. I do feel like maybe it was four hours. Still.
Starting point is 01:06:00 So yeah, four hours one way, four hours back. And then planned on getting it the next day. I forgot. I think he showed up never planned to take it. He showed up without a trailer. Like he was never going to buy it. He showed up just to look at it. And then at least he told Tommy, I'll be back tomorrow with a trailer.
Starting point is 01:06:15 So he's like, okay. So you think he went all the way home and then came back? That's what I remember, like, hearing and thinking, that guy must love driving. Surely the market for these secondhand lawnmowers is not so hot that, like, I got to commit to it verbally now, but I got to look for it person. And this is the only one in the four hour radius that's for sale. I have to get this. Yeah. Man, I kind of like the idea. And of course, Tommy's got enough other things going on.
Starting point is 01:06:43 But he should be just a consultant for other people, like, because I kind of want to do this in Kansas City. but the whatever the skill involved is like you gotta know the ones that are worth buying and holding versus the ones that aren't you know what I mean
Starting point is 01:06:59 you could like consult them like what's a good deal and what's not yeah you can go drive by pick them up the only thing is the storage that's what's nice about the Iowa kind of set up is he can have five tractors on hold at any time how big are they
Starting point is 01:07:12 some are truly just like a large riding lawnmower but then others are like yeah, tractor sized. Okay. But smaller, a small tractor. Yeah, I was thinking lawnmowers. Okay, but he's doing tractors as well.
Starting point is 01:07:25 Yeah. Good for him. You clear out the shed, maybe? Yeah, I got one. If I lay it on its side, it can fit in the shed. Oh, my gosh. Anyway, that's Soreswith. Soreswith is great.
Starting point is 01:07:42 Yeah. Just Iowa, man. Yeah. I was great too. All right. Anything else? I mean, one thing with Iowa.
Starting point is 01:07:52 Passenada. No, no. We're all full up, which is awesome. It's so exciting. I saw that your mom had a video of the left handed talk. Yeah, I had no idea.
Starting point is 01:08:05 That was so good. Yeah. People, people are like, this is, this is like, it was so fun, like,
Starting point is 01:08:11 to see that they talked about it and then the actual conversation, you know, all this stuff. I wonder how many times, your mom is recording things that you don't realize she's recording. I know. That was sneaky. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:22 Yeah, that was pretty fun. Yeah, just like shooting a bow, pool. I mean, there was like, there's a thousand things to compare how you do things. They both switch hands when they brush teeth. That one's just like, what are you taught? What you do? And they just said it like it was nothing. Like, oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:42 Yeah. Yeah, you fly when you get over here. So good. All right, you got any wins of the week? One of the week is just, I feel like my overall thoughts towards like the Ghostrunners getaway. Like I'm so excited for everyone to get there in day one of the getaway because as I'm sure you're feeling too, it's just such a grind when you know you're about to be gone. Yeah. And I'm in grind mode right now.
Starting point is 01:09:10 Like I've had to like say no to like social things because I have so much work to do. It's just going to be so great. Like I'm getting a bunch done. I'm getting all of my work done ahead of time so that when I get to Gulf Shores, I can just be so present and just have so much fun. Session one is packed full of friends and people who've come before. Like, I just can't wait for Saturday. Yeah, that's a good word.
Starting point is 01:09:31 Yeah, it is. I'm kind of at the point now where I'm getting a little bit, nostalgic's not the right word, but like I'm getting like sentimental towards my kids of like every time they're around. I'm like, I got to go to Costco. Anybody want, like, Rosie come with me. You know, like, I just don't. I want to soak up every moment I have with them before I'm gone.
Starting point is 01:09:53 Yeah, similar one of the week for me is just, yeah, our sponsors. Like it is amazing, like, yeah, how much it takes to put on all this stuff. And we have all these volunteers that are like volunteer helpers coming. I mean, just amazing people that are coming to help cook and set things up and everything. But like, it is amazing like how much product we get from good ranchers, Main Street Raiders, Cozy Earth, like hooking us up on this thing. like that's a huge blessing like we save a good amount of money because of the coffee and the uh meat that's provided and then we can take they turn that around and like buy some fun prizes for
Starting point is 01:10:32 people or you know not have to think quite as much about like yeah let's add one more volunteer here not volunteer i don't know like you say that but helper um and pay you know pay for their airfare whatever like uh so that's that's a huge huge blessing so that's one of the week and yeah along with just getting some time with family before heading out this week. So, yeah, anyway, it should be awesome. Be a good time. By the time you're listening to this ghosties, we're having a good time. We're having a good time.
Starting point is 01:11:01 Yeah, hopefully we got some stuff on social media. I know we're not great at Instagram, Instagraming things, but hopefully we got some stuff. Ooh, what do you got? Let me guess. Let me guess. Late. Thanks. This looks yummy.
Starting point is 01:11:16 latte in a mason jar are you kidding me do a little ice maricano splash of cream less the dairy soap they don't poop what did you say just repeating my brista told me
Starting point is 01:11:31 we're trying to figure out the root cause of some things so it's like is it the espresso is it the dairy was it just some of the dairy or is it like the creamer that's going in time will tell we shall see fun
Starting point is 01:11:50 I'll tell you what it's not it's not the Main Street Roasters aspect of this coffee they're doing their job just fine I need to now do my job just called digestion yeah digesting it right that's good
Starting point is 01:12:04 all right ghosties thanks for listening thanks for thanks to Stephen and Braden that was really fun having them on don't be too upset for any of the sexist things we said Oh, wait, comment of the week. Sure.
Starting point is 01:12:20 Hey, sure. I'm going to go with a text, actually, I received from my sister this morning. Whoa. Timon's technical difficulties are actually so funny the way he handles it. His nodding was killing me. Also, like, the miming of Brad making coffee was awesome. You guys should do more of those. I, once again, it's just like, hey, we did it.
Starting point is 01:12:45 even when it's not always what we think is going to be the best. Okay. I'm reading. Abigail 1-1-1-1-1 said Brad's shirtless during an ad review is not on my bingo card. And then Kinsey-N-O-L commented, I saw this comment before and it still surprised me. And then, okay, this is another way. Sarah Genesek, 887 on YouTube.
Starting point is 01:13:18 Just last weekend in the park, I saw a 50-year-old lady tackle a dog who was attacking her dog. Dot, dot, dot. It was pretty awesome. It was pretty awesome. I don't even remember what he said, but I remember making a mental note that I have to read Mitchell Bowser's comment. Let me see if I can find this. Gosh, where is it? What did he say?
Starting point is 01:13:40 Let me see. Whether life serves you an ace or an unexpected backhand. The high-protee. Spocker by the
Starting point is 01:14:23 episode. The idea of hiring a podcast producer who can't contribute anything and it's just sitting there for the entirety of the podcast is so funny to me. Like we can't talk to him. He can't talk to us. There's not even any live editing necessary. He just sits there and nods. Yeah, Tanner Foster. Poor time is having to sit there like a kid after a sleepover waiting for his mom to stop talking to the other mom so he can go home. Oh my gosh. That's really good. Yeah, I almost fell off the treadmill with surprise and laughing at time and several minute delayed British accent. I mean, oh, also, Sorton Grin said, why does Brad look like Glenn Powell today? This is how CCM sheltered kid I was.
Starting point is 01:15:10 I thought when I read that, I thought she meant Mack Powell, who is the lead singer of third day. And I was like, all right, I don't even know what that guy really looks like, but cool. It's kind of a weird. I was like, wait a second. Oh, that makes more sense. Yeah, people that were surprised about my lighter hair, isn't it so funny? Like, what hair color do you think you have?
Starting point is 01:15:34 I always call myself a blonde and everyone, like, but I think people are like, well, your hair's brown now. Yeah. I think I grew up blonde, so therefore I'm blonde. I don't know. Same. I grew up with like, and this is not until, you know, maybe until ninth grade or so,
Starting point is 01:15:49 but I did have pretty blonde hair. I had very blonde hair at certain points. And so it just gets stuck with you. You know, you get your first driver's license. They say, what colors your hair? You go blonde. Yeah. And then every driver's license after that, you just do it.
Starting point is 01:16:00 And then you get married and your wife goes, what do you, you're trying to commit identity theft? What are you saying blonde hair for? Yeah. I don't know. Like, like, yeah, this is brown right now. I understand that. Yeah, mine's looking pretty brown. But like in the summertime, it gets lighter.
Starting point is 01:16:16 I don't know. I don't know. I think everyone's hair gets brown when they're old, right? Yeah. It all, we all go back to Brown. We all go to Brown and then we go light again. We get, we get white. Dude, I went to the DMV this week to get my Arizona license.
Starting point is 01:16:33 And I played pickleball. Then I went and did a workout. Then I went straight to the DMV. Then they take my picture. And I learned that Arizona licenses, they're good until you're like 65 or something. Whoa. So I'm like, oh, man, I should have showered or something. Man, I have this commitment.
Starting point is 01:16:50 Dang. That's awesome. That's what someone told me. They were like, oh, yeah, you know, in Arizona, it's good till 65 or something. Dude, you should have, yeah, you should have, like, I don't know, disguised yourself a ton. And then, like, you could have done some crazy stuff with that. Every once in a while, do you see somebody's, like, a driver's license?
Starting point is 01:17:11 And they look so different than they do now. Like, they had long hair and they had a mustache or something, you know. Yeah. It's like, shodesh. should have gone for it. Dude, they also told me, I went to like a third party one. So it was great. No line, easy, whatever.
Starting point is 01:17:28 They were like, all right. You got rid by. Yeah. I think we got everything we need. I was shocked that I went to a third party DMV and I had everything that I needed. I was like, there's no shot. What do you, what do you mean? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:17:40 They have, there's like the DMV and then there's like first stop Mesa, a third party DMV storefront or something. So is it to pay for it? is like extra charge. I'm guessing there is a little extra convenience fee. I don't know though. Yeah. But yeah,
Starting point is 01:17:55 nobody was there. I got a license in the mail. You did? It worked out. Yeah. I couldn't believe I had to like, yeah, like whatever,
Starting point is 01:18:04 all the documents I would need and. It just sounds like that. For sure, they send you home and they go, oh, you're just, you need this one thing that you didn't bring. But what they did surprise me with,
Starting point is 01:18:14 they're like, all right, it's 80 bucks for the new license. I think we're all set. While you come over to this last window and we'll do the vision test. And I got scared because I thought it was going to be like, I don't know why I thought this, but like when you first see your license, you have to know all the signs.
Starting point is 01:18:29 Like this means slippery when wet. This means this. I was like, oh gosh. Is this that test? You could have passed it. You never passed that test. I remember having a study back of the day. But anyway, it was just like, what are these numbers?
Starting point is 01:18:42 Which side's blinking? I did all right. Which side is blinking? What do you mean? You just put your, you know, eyes in this a little. thing and then you go right, right, left. Dude, this is such a Jake story. Like, I went to this random place.
Starting point is 01:18:59 No one else was there. I don't know what happened. But they sent me a license. It's definitely legit. They say it's going to be legit for 85 years, dude. And then you get pulled over sometime and this cops are going to be like, this is not real. This is not what ours look like at all.
Starting point is 01:19:15 My license looks like this. It's this side. It's the shape of Nevada. Here you go. It's got all the details there. It just says, Jake, I am blonde. I drive, Jake. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:19:28 Seems legitimate enough for me. Yeah, but it's a third party place, so they do it a little differently. Third party, no lines. Just say third party. No lines. English is their second language. Pretty nice.
Starting point is 01:19:38 Oh, my gosh. That's so, I mean, let us know if anything fishy happens from it. It sounds like it was fine. The vision test thing, though, sounds like, let's just see what this guy will do for us. maybe honestly she there was one part i thought i messed up because the the numbers that then i had to read were very small like that was actually difficult so i was closing one eye to see him and she was like
Starting point is 01:20:01 all right read that top row so i go 8329 4860 she goes anything else i'll go oh crap that looks like all there is and then i opened both eyes and then all these numbers appear it's like oh crap turns out you can see more when you have two one eye thing Anyway, I passed. IDs in the mail. I need to remember to bring my passport to Gulf Shores. That's how I'm going to be able to fly. Because your ID, your Kansas ID wouldn't work.
Starting point is 01:20:33 It's expired or what? It expires on my birthday, which will happen, I think, when I'm flying home. So I just didn't want to risk it. Wait, is your birthday going to be at Gulf Shores? It'll actually be, I go straight from Alabama to New York on the 26th, birthday's on the 27th, and then I fly. to, you know, back home on the 29th or something. Okay.
Starting point is 01:20:54 I was not prepared for a birthday party. Just do another roast. Yeah. Just do a light, Grandibu light. Grandabu 2.0. Mm-hmm. Cool. All right, ghosties.
Starting point is 01:21:06 Thank you for listening, as always. Thanks for supporting us. Really do appreciate it, as always. We will see you in Gulf Shores Monday. Yeah. Love you guys. Everybody morning
