Starting point is 00:00:00 Ola ghosties, happy Wednesday. And I choose to open this episode with Spanish because a couple days ago, I had breakfast with our hat manufacturer. And guess where they're from? Spain. China. Why would you guess?
Starting point is 00:00:17 Spain. Dude, everything's made in China. I don't know why you would guess that. You had breakfast with them? Puffusiest. Puffus. Yeah, dude, it was so funny. It's like Matt texted me and Isaac probably a week ago.
Starting point is 00:00:37 It's like, hey, you guys are going to be around next week. Our hat manufacturer wants to meet with you guys. And I'm thinking, do we have a hat manufacturer? I don't know. I'm not even aware of this. Or is this like a future? I think it's supposed to be a guy we're about to work with. Okay.
Starting point is 00:00:54 And all I kind of responded was like, I hope he likes hospital food. Like, where else is he going to meet me? That's all I. That's the only place I go. So the home and the hospital. But anyway, well, it comes to find out, yeah, they're kind of coming from China to Phoenix. And they want to meet Isaac and I. So we're like, I guess we'll make some time for him.
Starting point is 00:01:13 And so we meet up with them. Where'd you go? We went to Over Easy. Okay. Good place. Breakfast spot. It was fine. And we did, you know, we're walking in.
Starting point is 00:01:24 I say, I are going, what is this about to be? And I was like, I'll tell you what it is. it's podcast material. That's what it's about to be. No, but honestly, it actually, like, most of the breakfasts went just very typical, I guess, how you'd think. It's just like, this guy actually speaks, like, pretty decent English,
Starting point is 00:01:43 and it's just like a normal, just kind of breakfast or whatever. But two things did happen at the end where you go, caching, there we go. One is the wife of the man. I caught her like kind of like spitting into a napkin. Oh. And we had kind of like ordered for them a little bit, you know, knowing what you know about Chinese culture.
Starting point is 00:02:08 We ordered them orange juice and, you know, we're trying to just like accommodate them the best we know how. And so then I was kind of nervous like, oh, shoot, did we get her something she doesn't like but it's customary to eat everything and she's spitting it out? And so I'm trying to like pay close attention. And then I notice I get a glimpse of the napkin. it is the skin of a grape. Oh, Jake.
Starting point is 00:02:31 You kept the skin on? What was I thinking? You've been to China multiple times, buddy. I know better. Yeah. You have to see skin their grapes for them. Yes, dude. Grape skin's disgusting.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Why would you even order them grape? You know the history of China, right? I know. Viet Kong. Yes, dude. The grapes of wrath? Where do you think that took place? Gilbert Graves.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Yeah, exactly. Golly. I'd never seen that before, but I was like, I never even considered not eating the skin, which is just the grape. I thought. I can't believe you're from small town, Missouri, but I can't believe that you, you, like, everyone knows that. Even your dad who... It's close-minded. It's insensitive.
Starting point is 00:03:29 I just... I didn't grow up with parents who talked about things like this, okay? We really like Robert E. Lee. Okay? We have a statue in the backyard. Come on, dude. You don't understand.
Starting point is 00:03:40 You don't understand. The grapes are... Don't tread on us. Don't tread on our grapes. Our grape skin's ours. Come and take it. So did you order wine with the grape skin in there, too? I that's how I grew up
Starting point is 00:03:55 Chunky wine I was nervous to do it in front of them Yeah you're like I'll get some chunky wine over here for them please Golly Jake Yeah that was I never even like thought about it being two separate things The outside of the grape and the inside of the grape But I think she was loving the inside of the grape I felt bad about the outside
Starting point is 00:04:13 So that was one thing And then truly we were like leaving We're like halfway out the door And a waitress not even our waitress Another waitress stops us and she goes, hey, can I just ask like, what was this breakfast? Which is kind of funny, but also kind of fair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:32 And we say, oh, we have like a sporting goods company. They are manufacturers. They're from China and we're just working together. And they had brought us a duffel bag full of hat samples that we did kind of like lay out and we'd been looking at. And so this waitress goes, well, I think we'd like to buy some of the hats. Okay. And so we were like, oh, really? We're like, hey, good for business.
Starting point is 00:04:56 That's why we took it over easy. You know, we're kind of joking around. And, you know, I'm kind of trying to like read the room. Like, should you just give her one or I don't know how the samples work? It's not really mine to give up. And she's like, oh, no, not for me. Some customers have been asking how they can buy hats. And I'm looking around.
Starting point is 00:05:15 And there's not a single customer in there looking at us at all. In fact, I could guarantee you none of them are interested in any of these hats. You think the lady's lying? I think, about something. I don't know what exactly. But I go, oh, the customers want the hats? Yeah, some customers have been asking about the hats. It's like, really?
Starting point is 00:05:34 A small little diner like this. And they're like, hey, how do I get some of those hats over there? Is she saying she wants, they, or what's she's saying, they want hats that say over easy on them? You think it was like specifically your hat? Or it's like, hey, there's been chatter like, man, if you guys had a hat, I'd wear it. That has to be it. Because you're looking around like no one cares about these hats here.
Starting point is 00:05:58 These aren't hat people. Yeah, this guy's doing just fine without a hat. Isaac and I were so good. That has to be like in the past we've had customers ask like, can we get yeah, an over-easy branded hat? Okay, that's got to be it. Still kind of a funny conversation to say though. Yeah, and minimum order quantity is 500.
Starting point is 00:06:14 So I hope you've had a lot of people ask. It's also funny to start it with like, we want some hats. And then you're like, oh, okay. Well, not us. The customers do. They were asking. Asking for a friend. I don't want that.
Starting point is 00:06:30 I'm just listening to the customer. But, okay, that actually is a good explanation. Because then we were like, oh, for sure. And we gave them a brochure, which is like their address in China. And walked out of there being like, what in the world is that? I guess we got him some business. All of a sudden, like you're going to misinterpret it again and you're going to walk into Overeasy like next time.
Starting point is 00:06:50 And it's just going to be 500 Friday hats. like oh i guess they wanted it for us yeah sweet dude it was a great mix of um just hat samples though i mean you can imagine like for every one like golf hat where you go oh that's nice it's kind of you know it got some holes in the back for airflow and a little rope here there's like i don't know like think like um paris hilton in like 2002 like a just like fur like little like i don't know yeah small pink cap. I don't even know what's called like Nicole Richie type hats. Scott's like,
Starting point is 00:07:27 oh, these are sick. Yeah. Is this real velvet? Performance. Drivers caps. They got beanies. And I mean,
Starting point is 00:07:35 just like a- And they brought them all. They brought them. They were like, just in case. Wow. I do, we learned,
Starting point is 00:07:41 okay, Phoenix is their first stop. They're visiting a handful of people in America. But I think we are the people they stopped to see in Phoenix. So. Okay. So maybe somewhere they're going to want, the fur hats.
Starting point is 00:07:54 Atlantic City or something. Maybe they're Indianapolis stop. Yeah. Fur velvet hat will come into the point. Yeah, it's a little bit warmer for the winter time. It still looks cool. Yeah, but it was
Starting point is 00:08:05 it was fun. Honestly, not super eventful, but the grape thing was kind of funny. The grape thing's wild. I mean, once again, Jake, just read a, open a book everyone's small. Golly.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Uh-oh. Ooh, I think this tight beat means that it's going down. with some random thoughts and white meat too Ben West best friends eating fast food on repeat so come along
Starting point is 00:08:27 let's have some fun and go ahead get on your feet because it's a ghost from a podcast Jake, Timon I just want to let you guys know right now before you my birthday's coming up November
Starting point is 00:08:48 um sorry quick quick aside hady the other day said I don't know when your birthday is and I was kind of hurt by that and then I thought when's your birthday
Starting point is 00:08:58 My birthday's coming up. I just wanted you guys to know right now. I don't want anything to do with the new iPhone. I don't want anything to do with that flipping phone, all right? It sounds a lot like you kind of want this phone. No, I don't. No, I don't. No, I promise I don't.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Seven years of podcasting. You've never come on, what, two months early and told us what you don't want for your birthday. No, I just wrote down. I don't have any desire for the new iPhone. I just wanted to figure out a way to pre-referenced that. You know, you guys, pre-orders are available now. You could get it now. Listen, but I don't.
Starting point is 00:09:37 But I don't want that. I truly don't. If you get it for me, I'll take it back. And I'll get whatever the next one down is. An iPad that you could fit in your pocket. No visible crease. How did they do it? I don't want it.
Starting point is 00:09:53 I don't want it. I don't. You think I'm messing with you. I don't want it. You want it? The front facing camera is hidden. How'd they do that? Don't get it for me.
Starting point is 00:10:01 I'll read about it online. That's cool. That's cool. I don't want it though. I don't want it. I don't. Okay. I'm messing with you because it comes out. They announce it.
Starting point is 00:10:11 And for like, I don't know, 15 seconds you go, that's pretty neat. And then I was thinking there is nothing wrong with exactly what I have right now. Yeah. You know, like I don't want this to be changed really in any way. I don't think. I, every now and then when I'm holding Teddy, I can't really reach the top of my eye. iPhone Pro Max. And that's just a, that's just a hands problem.
Starting point is 00:10:33 You need to get bigger hands. No, I think I'm a little bit worried the way it's going to mess with photos. The, the ratios it's going to have. Four by three. Are they, is it, is that what it is? I assume you've done the research. You don't want it so bad. You don't want it so bad so you tell me.
Starting point is 00:10:52 That's funny. Like, I like tell you every single feature about that I don't like. 48 minute back as a post camera. People are freaking out about it. I'm like, I don't want my phone to fold. I don't want it to fold. I am just fine the way it is.
Starting point is 00:11:07 And I don't think, and write this down at ghosties out there in the ghosty. Ty of penit paper. I got this down from bread. History book. I don't think I'll ever want it. I don't think I'm going to change my mind on it,
Starting point is 00:11:19 guys. I'm sticking firm to, I am very content with my flat, flat A, I think right now. It is hard to like imagine why I would need it to be slightly smaller in my pocket. Also is it? Is it thicker?
Starting point is 00:11:37 You know, it's like I think if I'm going to watch a video on my phone, I see I can see everything just fine. I don't need anything slightly bigger horizontally. I think I might even argue that I don't want it slightly bigger horizontally. All of a sudden, if you're lying in bed trying to watch and it's too big, you're kind of Your eyes are buying. You got teddy eyes. Yeah. You're like,
Starting point is 00:11:59 you're front row in a movie. Like, you're just like, oh, no, no, no. Where'd that go? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:12:04 reading closed captions. Yeah, it's like this. Yeah, you're having to move back. I am so content. I don't want anything to do with that. And I'm worried that when people get it
Starting point is 00:12:14 and then they're going to send me pictures, they're not going to be the right ratios on my phone compared to their phone. And it's just going to mess with things. And I don't like it. And I don't like it. Don't get me one. And do you,
Starting point is 00:12:26 okay, No using this phone would be like a movie theater at home I don't want it though it would remind me I don't appreciate that sarcasm
Starting point is 00:12:36 because because I think you're wrong for saying that you're gonna hate it I hope you get it and hate it Tyler you're gonna hate it I don't want anything to do
Starting point is 00:12:48 what are your thoughts in the new phone Simon the iPhone duo I'll tell you my thoughts yeah go ahead go ahead oh you want to hear my thoughts on new phone
Starting point is 00:12:56 Tyler Stultz was I like I feel like every year I get I'm less on top of whatever Apple's doing lately I don't I saw some clips it looks cool little like nothing changes
Starting point is 00:13:10 except for this one's changing little blur animation when it closes is fun I don't want it but don't my birthday's not even coming up and I don't want it there were a couple girls on the getaway that had these foldable phones and I thought never
Starting point is 00:13:26 why who cares who needs that and they liked them you're right we had at least two just in session one yeah hannah and betsy huh hmm coastal kind of slightly louisiana and main they have coasts yeah yeah yeah first common dom i thought of besides foldable phone in the same thing about i mean you you you seem like you're you're making fun of me like i should want it I don't want it more than you do. I am now on team you, Brad.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Yeah. No, my exact thoughts were like for 15 seconds, like, oh, hold on, your foot's under a tripod leg. Oh, copy that. It's camera talk. It's a, it's. Is your foot under a tripod leg or you're just happy to see the new studio? Yeah, I was like, wow, that's cool.
Starting point is 00:14:23 They, like, yeah, this looks sweet. But I would, I don't know what kind of who. Hulu hoops, I would have to jump through mentally to convince myself that I need this or that I need anything other than the shape of a current phone. It's also like two grand. I don't want it. I know. There are certain things I think Apple's just like let's see let's see what they'll do. Yeah. Like will people keep doing this? Like I remember when those um whatever you call air pods max or whatever it's not even AirPods are just like the big headphones like aren't those like 500 some bucks something like that? I think so. At least they were.
Starting point is 00:14:58 I was like, people aren't going to fall for this, right? Like people aren't going to go this crazy for this stuff. I see those every now and then, maybe at the gym, maybe in an airport. I'll tell you what I really don't see. One of the only Apple products in recent memory that I can think of, there was a total flop. The universal signal for augmented reality. That's right. Are you talking?
Starting point is 00:15:21 Yeah. Yeah, those, I mean, I haven't seen any numbers. That had to be a flop. I mean, a lot of work for nothing. I don't know a single person who owns it. Yeah, I've never seen one in real life. I just think VR. I feel bad for Apple.
Starting point is 00:15:36 Yeah. It breaks my heart. Man, more money than the U.S. Treasury? Oh, guys. Dang. That's crazy. I just think VR in general is almost like, I don't know, why is it not more popular?
Starting point is 00:15:52 Because it is cool, but it's also like just people are like it's not as good as a regular video game or whatever you know it's not as good as just watching the movie on a big screen yeah it feels so it's just so by yourself too like i don't know it doesn't yeah you know yeah but i mean i think people are playing video games by themselves on a screen plenty that's true yeah why is it i don't know i feel like i've heard that since it's not that popular, people don't put that much time
Starting point is 00:16:29 and everything to making like good games for it, which therefore just like, it just goes downhill because then no one wants to play it anyway. Okay. I don't know. Okay, that's just what I've heard. I feel like,
Starting point is 00:16:39 I'm just spitballing, but what could take VR or AR to the next level would be like if they can make live sports, feel extremely immersive, like instead of just watching it on like a 2D television, if they could somehow bring you court side seats or into the stadium or whatever, but even then you're gonna what do you get all your buddies and you all put on the goggles in the same living room you know you you lose stuff as you gain stuff even if you can make that experience really cool that would be cool though if you're like instead of paying you know 10,000 dollars for a court side seat here's this 360 camera that or whatever that you can you can basically be there yeah if they can figure out of way to do it really well i could see that finally maybe getting some some steam getting some steam
Starting point is 00:17:24 We got a big Chiefs game today, and we're trying to figure out what to do. Scott is team. Let's turn off our phones. Let's go watch Kyle play, and then we'll watch a replay of the Chiefs game in the evening. Okay. I don't know if we can do it.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Why not? Oh, no, I can turn off your phone. I can turn off the iPhone off. I can turn off the iPhone do it if I had it. I don't want to do that, though, because I don't even want it. Yeah, I wouldn't even mess with turning it off because I wouldn't turn it on.
Starting point is 00:18:00 Just the variability of just like other people and even just like getting back to YouTube TV and like pressing play on it without looking and making sure it starts from the beginning. Buddy, that's what a third party's for. That's what time is for. That's why I'm here. That's what Catherine does.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Yeah. That's what Catherine does for us. It's like, Catherine, can you please turn on the game? Yeah. She's like, okay, don't look yet. Don't look yet. And she'll get it where it needs. ago.
Starting point is 00:18:27 So you need somebody like that. I was going to say Rachel, but she might be a little busy. I think you're a little, you're overestimating, A, how many Arizona people probably were watching the Chiefs game, B, how many pickleball people are probably watching the Chiefs game. Dude, we did an event yesterday. We got invited to, yeah, this, whatever, this pickleball event. And Isaac and I were debriefing afterwards, we realized, wait, we did an entire three-hour-long pickleball event while the Arizona Cardinals were playing.
Starting point is 00:18:56 And like there wasn't a single, like the game wasn't on. There wasn't a single like Cardinals jersey there. Like in kids, you would never even put on like an event while the chiefs are playing. Right. And if you did, then people would at least be talking about it or have it on in the background or not go.
Starting point is 00:19:17 I mean, and the Cardinals won like a big upset of a game too. Like they're not supposed to be that good. And they beat a team that was supposed to go to the playoffs. and yeah, pretty big time. So I mean, that's also probably a big market versus small market as far as like in, I'm sure so many people in Arizona
Starting point is 00:19:34 aren't from Arizona. Yeah. Right? I don't know. Good pay. But yeah, I bet, I bet there's a chance at least that there is a, the game is on in the background of this event, right?
Starting point is 00:19:46 Like if it's any sort of sports venue, like they're going to have a seating, you know, a eating area that might have a TV in there. but what are your thoughts on this scott said hey even if we find out the score he goes i could stomach knowing the score and just go back and watch it anyway i said i'll be honest i can't i can't stomach that i could stomach it i could stomach it just fine but i would definitely not prefer yeah i couldn't brain it or hard it i could stomach it but let's say you know the chiefs win and like we're down in the fourth quarter my home says a chance to you know
Starting point is 00:20:22 come back and win and you already know it's decided. Can't stop my kid. Yeah, the other day I turned on college football, which I never do. And it was BYU game, which is Scott's all-modern. So there was some ridiculously terrible ref, like, terrible call. And I texted Scott right away. I was like, what, what a terrible, what a terrible call? And he's like, what happened?
Starting point is 00:20:47 I'm not watching it. I was like, you're not watching it. That's crazy. There's a one time I ever watch BYU and you're not watching it. He's like, well, I'm, you know, I'm, I started watching it. And then I had to go deal with something in my house, but I'm going to watch the rest later. I was like, oh, okay, so you don't want me to tell you. He's like, no, I want you to tell me what happened?
Starting point is 00:21:03 I was like, no, in my head, I was like, are you sure? Like, I could stomach it, but I would hate it. I would hate everything about, I would hate, I hate the idea of like anybody, even if you're in the room, like, I think timing literally does not care one bit. And so I'd be okay with timing being there because I don't think he would say or like show any sort of emotions, but like, I remember one time I was watching a game. It was a KU basketball game that it was on delay. And I knew that something crazy happened because one of my friends was like, oh my gosh, I saw this game. And it eventually went into overtime and all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:21:36 I hated that he like had that reaction even before or as I was watching the game. So, um, I could stomach it. But I don't want to. I don't want to. I don't want to. Your mouth is saying you could stomach it, but ever your heart. I don't, I don't know if you can. can. No, here's, I don't even care hardly at all
Starting point is 00:21:56 what the outcome is, but I, even I wouldn't want to have, have to stomach that. No, no, no, no,
Starting point is 00:22:03 there's no doubt I don't want to stomach. But here's the different, here's, here's the thing about the NFL time. Okay. I believe there are 17 games every single year that you're guaranteed
Starting point is 00:22:13 to watch of your team. So, in other words, three hours a week for 17 weeks in a row. Yeah. Jake, don't get too technical.
Starting point is 00:22:22 Um, by week, by week, 18 weeks, you get one week off. It's called it by week. Uh, um,
Starting point is 00:22:29 my point is, I could, 17 in a row. Technically. Um, I, the reason I can stomach it is because I don't want to miss one hour of my three a week that I get to watch my favorite team.
Starting point is 00:22:52 I will watch every single second of that game if I can, even if it is, even if I know that it's going, what's going to happen because there's not enough of it. What if you had to do? Versus like baseball. If someone were to like tell me a regular season game in the seventh inning, hey, FYI, you know, zero zero still.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Like, oh, okay. I might just fast forward and see that. Yeah. What if you had to watch a chief's game on your phone? Still would love it. How big is my phone? Dang it. What ratio?
Starting point is 00:23:23 That's where I was going. Yeah. Now what if that phone was just slightly bigger? Where are I sitting? Okay, so it's funny that you say all this because we have plans, we as in me and some of my friends, to watch the game tonight. It starts at 715, 720, whatever it is. We are going to, like, I'm planning on having my friends over at 8 p.m.
Starting point is 00:23:47 Because my friends are Peter, Gunner, Tate. We're all dads of kids. go to bed at around that time. So it's like, hey, let's just be a little bit delayed. We'll catch up by halftime. That's nice. So yeah, that's the idea is like, hey, let's at least kind of help with the kids and serve our wives a little bit.
Starting point is 00:24:05 So, but I mean, there was, there was a little bit like, do we really want to do this that bad? Yeah, let's do it. We're trying to be sustainable this year and be able to watch a lot more games together. And I think that's one of the, one of the ways for prime time games to work out. So that's fun. Tim and I were joking. Do you remember we watched Week 1 last year with Tyman?
Starting point is 00:24:25 Absolutely, I do. This is kind of just what we do. We always watch opening weekend together. Who do we play last year, Tyman, an opening weekend? Because I'm sure that you watched Ivory Chiefs game, so it's probably hard to remember them all. 17 in a row. Man, I truly cannot remember. You remember a color?
Starting point is 00:24:42 No, I really don't. Do you remember the outcome? I remember the string lights. Yeah. Yeah, very good. I think the Chiefs lose? Yes, they did. Because I didn't remember like celebrations. Yeah, we never chest bumped.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Yeah. We always do that other years when we win. Yeah, if Kyle wins today, oh my gosh. The chest bumps are going to be running wild. Yeah, but yeah, thanks for having me out to put on the game and just because we have to watch the first one every year. And to soak up the urine smell. Don't forget, that's also while you're here.
Starting point is 00:25:16 To kind of act as a sponge. Sponge the urine. Yeah, happy to. Brad, hit me with kind of a list, if you will, a wish list of things that you don't want to get. Obviously, the iPhone duo is at the top of the list. What else are you not willing to purchase? No, oh, purchase. Well, I'll just give you a list.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Okay. Of just things that no more lives torn apart. What? That wars would never start. The time would heal all hearts. and then on the good thing everyone would have a friend life would never end
Starting point is 00:25:54 and then what's your sixth one and then just amazing beans in my hopper every single day you wouldn't buy that I wouldn't buy it because I would like for somebody to gift it to me though is that what you're saying?
Starting point is 00:26:10 Got it yes was that the premise? Yes yes I would want yeah I would hope that people would just buy it for me and can we just backtrack real quick What was the second one? Lives torn apart?
Starting point is 00:26:23 Wars would never start. Okay. Time would heal all hearts. Everyone would have a friend. Wars would never end. That's not it. If I could have it my way, Ward would never end.
Starting point is 00:26:38 And love would always win. Love would win. And life would never end. FYI, that last one? Possible for slash realistic for everybody. so go do the right thing. What is the right thing?
Starting point is 00:26:54 I'll tell you what the right thing. Jesus. Oh, what is that? Love will always win. How do you not tear lives apart and still drink your morning coffee? Well, you're going to want to grab a Mason jar. You're going to want to grab your coffee machine and you're going to want to grab your mailbox. What's in here?
Starting point is 00:27:08 Big bag of beans from maestroasters.com. You paid 90% of MSRP for them using promo code GRKC. Then what are you going to do? Pour the beans in the coffee machine. make that liquid right into your mason jar sip, sip, sip. True love wins.
Starting point is 00:27:25 No more lies torn apart. Mason roaches.com, GRKC. I hope the war never ends. I'll tell you this time. If Scott watches another home opener with you and you lose, he's going to get frustrated that you're there
Starting point is 00:27:44 and think that you're bad luck. Okay. Good to know. which I think is so dumb and so funny. Like, I remember Isaac went to a playoff game, the Chiefs eventually ended up winning, but it was that crazy one. They were down 24-0 or something like that to the Texans. And Isaac's brother was like,
Starting point is 00:28:01 what are you doing your bad luck? Get out of the stadium. You knew this was going to happen if you were there. I'm like, that does not, that does not what's going on. Funny thing for a grown man to be mad about. Okay, relatable or not? Oh, well,
Starting point is 00:28:17 time. I don't know. Hey, no, wait. You can be mad about the game. People care about sports is a good idea, okay? What?
Starting point is 00:28:21 Sorry? People caring about sports is really cool. Obviously. Once you've gambled on it, then you can care. Yeah. Yeah. Throw some money down and then talk to me.
Starting point is 00:28:30 If you're extremely emotionally invested in sports, that's like, that's great. I admire that. I'd love to get there someday. But acting like one person is affecting the outcome. Yes. Uh,
Starting point is 00:28:45 Timon, now that we just had that conversation, conversation, will you just kind of like make it a mission tonight when you watch the game? Maybe once you guys catch up or something to kind of mess with Scott as far as like, like, let's say something good happens and Scott's in kind of a precarious position. Like maybe he's like like getting, getting a snack in the kitchen. So he's kind of being able to see, but not really like, and you're like, Scott, you have to stay there. You have to stay there until we have a bad play. You have to stay there, dude. That's our, that's our good luck is when you're eating. Like every time
Starting point is 00:29:16 it's like a third down, it's like, take a. Take it by a chip, dude. Like to see how far Scott will take it. Scott's such a great yes and guy. He'll probably do it. Oh, he 100% will do it. Yeah. Sounds great.
Starting point is 00:29:26 Also, uh, time it I'll give you. Nah. No, yeah, I'll give you $5 if you can get Scott to suggest doing this and then do this at halftime. Um,
Starting point is 00:29:38 we one time did this Wimhoff breathing thing with Scott. Um, I feel like maybe I've heard about this. Yeah, we talked about the podcast. I think it's, pretty awesome, pretty hilarious. But you can't just be like, hey, what was that
Starting point is 00:29:52 breathing thing that you did? Like, you have to like almost like get it there naturally. Like, oh, you know, I just need to like really calm down. Crazy first half. I've been really anxious lately. And just, I don't know, I just wish there was like a way to like, just like, I don't know. Just like really like relieve some of that. It didn't need to take forever. Yeah, it doesn't need to take forever. I'm just like a quick, quick reset. And if he somehow brings up. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:17 And then suggest it. And he's like, we gotta do it at half time. We gotta do it half time. Like, I'll give you $5. It could happen. Great. Yeah. But you have to, yeah, you have, I need Jake to be the judge of like, how organic was this.
Starting point is 00:30:29 And did I push it too much? Yeah, yeah. You can't just be like on your YouTube and like you've already had to like recently searched Wimpoff. And he sees that. He's like, dude, do that too? He's like, no, I've never done it. But I'm sure it's pretty cool. It's like, oh, it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:30:41 We got to do it right now. Okay. That's too far. All right. Do you guys find this for label or not? and maybe this doesn't even, has never even come up. But speaking of like the jinxes and you, oh, you ruined it by standing on your left foot or whatever. I find that when you know someone else is a believer and a Christian and they're getting really into the jinxes,
Starting point is 00:30:59 it's really easy to then like make fun of them or call them dumb or hit them with the, my God is bigger than your jinx, you know, kind of thing. But when someone is not a believer, I find myself in a really awkward position and I'm not sure how to like convince. Because I still want them to know this is, ridiculous, but I'm not sure what logic to use exactly. Oh. I'm trying to think of how many non-believers I ever talk to, because it's just like, why would you talk to somebody who's not a believer, you know?
Starting point is 00:31:30 Just teasing. Well, session three, right? You were kind of telling me that one, yeah, it was like questionable at best. Yeah. Yeah, magician. Okay. Yeah, but. And then he licked a jellyfish. It's like, whoa. Okay. Yeah, I don't, I'm trying to think, like you're saying, like, if they, if they're not believers, then oh my gosh, like, maybe they really do think this is real. Yeah, I guess I'm, I'm not sure how to like, how to even have that conversation or I don't
Starting point is 00:32:06 know. It's just like a, maybe that's your, maybe that's your track in. But maybe that's my shoe horn, yeah. Yeah, you've been horned. I've been known to big horn. I'd like to shoehorn. Yeah. You sniff around. You're horned on.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Yeah. I try. I mean, I think it's hilarious anytime anybody ever. Like, sometimes superstitions are fun. Like just to be like, hey, I haven't, I haven't washed my socks all year and we keep winning. It's like, that's just hilarious. But if you're like, oh my gosh, my wife actually washed my socks, dude. And it's like, well, you know. That's not going to really make the difference. Yeah, I was probably 12 when the chiefs were good for the first time ever, the Dante Hall years. And that's when my dad would start doing like these ridiculous superstitions. He'd get leaned all the way back in his recliner. And I think he'd put one hand down his pants when Dante Hall would like return punts.
Starting point is 00:33:05 And that was always kind of like a funny thing. But he wasn't like, you know, not like my mom. Like, Steve, can you hold this like plate? Babe, I need my left hand free for Dante. I'll do it a second, Trish, okay? What? Yes, exactly. I'm trying to think of what I did as a kid.
Starting point is 00:33:24 I mean, my, you know, it's like what I even today, like, I don't truly believe it, but it is fun to be like, every time I wear this hoodie for the Super Bowl, we've won. So I need to wear that hoodie again. But I'm not like, dude, if I don't wear that hoodie, we're going to lose. If I don't wear the hoodie, I need a DM pat. It's like, dang, I just don't have that many hoodies to choose from here. is my one chief hoodie I'm all out of hoodies
Starting point is 00:33:47 I yeah dude laundry in Arizona is unbelievable I don't even put clothes back to where they go I just wear the same just t-shirt and shorts every day not the same ones but you know it's like
Starting point is 00:34:02 I don't know eight different shirts five different shorts yeah you wear them you wash them you put them back in the laundromen you take them out of the laundromen when it's time to wear them
Starting point is 00:34:10 and it's just I don't need a closet I don't need a dresser Wait, wait, wait. Why is this different? And not the hospital all of a sudden, but. Why is this different than Kansas? What do you mean? I guess it's a fair point.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Like, it's still hot there in the summertime too. You're just saying like, you don't have to worry about hoodies to shorts to joggers. It's just like, I know exactly what I'm wearing. Yeah, I'm not checking the weather. Like, there's no, there's no thunderstorm. The temperature's not going to drop into the 70s today. It's just like, just sweat. Just sweat.
Starting point is 00:34:41 Don't even put the clothes back. have you ever thought about because I know that I mean you you started to care about fashion more and more but like you ever thought about just going just just going like this is my outfit this is what I wear like kind of steve job turtle neck yeah bethke one time when we were in Hawaii like he just had like 10 of the same patagonia t-shirt and I just saw like in his laundry room one time they were all folded up and I was like oh I guess he just likes that t-shirt a lot and just like went for and that's like that's a black shirt like there's nothing wrong with wearing a black shirt and I was like that's a black shirt like there's nothing wrong with wearing a black shirt. every single day. Like, I've thought about it. Yeah. Yeah. I think, yeah, I know someone, uh, who I think where's the exact, he's like these pants and black, I think it's a black shirt too.
Starting point is 00:35:24 I think, I feel like what other color are you going to do every single day? Yeah. You know, black's the easiest for sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But I think it's pretty much the same outfit. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:35:36 I just know if Jake ever's like thought about hacking his life like that. Because like, like that way, you just do laundry and you just, yeah, put on, you're good. Yeah, that is kind of nice. You can get dressed in the dark. We're getting so many, you know, T-shirt samples over the months and we got more on the way that I got 25 different shirts to say Friday on them
Starting point is 00:35:54 and that's kind of all I wear now. Yeah, it's fair. Anyway. Yeah, I don't want the new I. I don't want to have anything to do with new life. That's how we got started on all this. F why. Brad's birthday's coming up is the point of the story. Patty, don't forget.
Starting point is 00:36:10 Don't get me one of those, though. I genuinely don't know how I'd react if somebody bought me a $2,000 iPhone as an inside joke from this podcast. I think I would use it. I would. I knew you liked it. And I would be fine with it
Starting point is 00:36:27 because I'm an adaptable human being, but I don't want it. I don't want it. What about this phrase? No, I'm going to, I'm going to do a fill in the blank. Okay. I'm going to tell a story and see if you can fill in the blank for it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:44 My next door neighbor, everyone's, everyone's selling their house around me. My next door neighbor is leaving. They're, they're moving. Which one I'm talking? We're talking, her name's Kendra. Lawn mower? She's the one who's. Marco's mama? Yep.
Starting point is 00:36:56 Oh, actually? Yep. Yeah. The one that got mad at us that one time. Yeah, because the moon was out. Oh, and then she, yeah, then she mowed the lawn last year at the chief thing. Yeah. Remember that?
Starting point is 00:37:06 Yeah. Yeah, that was wild. Yeah, she's gotten a little bit feisty in the recent years, but she's been a great neighbor overall. I was like, maybe I should buy her house. Maybe I should look into investing in this house. I don't know. Mega yard.
Starting point is 00:37:21 I'm always, I'm always like, let's see if we can get the right deal. If we get the right deal, any house is a good house to buy. So I called the real estate agent the other day. I'm just talking to him. And he's breaking down the house a little bit. Like, yeah, you know, it's not crazy. It's not much. But, I mean, the kitchen's pretty nice.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Or, you know, the kitchen's not that. It's a little outdated, but. Really, it can, all that can be fixed with just a blank and a blank. Okay. It's a phrase. I forgot what you were doing. Yeah. And it's not like a, it's not like a refrigerator, a new refrigerator and a new.
Starting point is 00:37:55 Okay. These things go together as part of a phrase that we've heard of before. I've never heard this phrase. That's, and I, but I don't know if it's like, whoa. Like I literally wrote it down as he's talking to me. I go, podcast notes. That's great. I've never heard that.
Starting point is 00:38:11 And I'll say this. the guy sounded normal. Nah, I shouldn't use the word normal. The guy sounded heterosexual. And I think he was, but this was definitely a little bit of... This could be a... Flaming Arrow vibes. Yeah, Eugene Oregon vibes.
Starting point is 00:38:29 So this is... The kitchen isn't super updated, but it's in good shape. You could... What was the exact sentence again? I don't know. Something like, you could make it look good with just a little... Or with a blank and a blank. A little sparkle and glitter.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Yeah, not that gay, but like something like that. Too gay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If that's a tin, this is a seven and a half. Okay. I mean, all that could be fixed up with a little nail, the little polish and. No, that's, no, you're now three out of ten.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Okay, okay, okay. A little buff and polish. You would fix all that up with a little blush and blush and plush. That's a nine out of ten. I'm going to move this up. This is an eight out of ten. This is a pretty, pretty like flamboyant choice of words. I mean, you can fix up that kitchen with a little,
Starting point is 00:39:23 with a little hair and makeup. That's good. The correct answer, are you ready for this? Hold on. Time in theater. Do you have a guess? I was trying. Once I realized we were in gay territory, I didn't know what to guess.
Starting point is 00:39:38 My first was like, I don't know, hoot and a hooter. Just a hoot and holl? You take two parts, that's a six out of ten. One part, that's a little bit. You got a good kitchen. I think a hoot. A hoot is a ten out of ten.
Starting point is 00:39:50 A hauler's a four out of ten. So together it's about a six, seven. But yeah, I'm ready for the real answer. The answer is, you know, I think you could make it look pretty good, but for just a little fluff and a tickle. I like that. Do you? I'll be honest, I like it.
Starting point is 00:40:05 With just a little fluff and a tickle? I don't think I like that when it comes to like home renovation projects. That feels like the job isn't fully done. what'd you do to this? I mean, honestly, spent a week and me a little fluff and tickle and it's all say.
Starting point is 00:40:17 You go, that's all you did. A fluff and a tickle What about new countertops? Like, yeah, I made the bed, but then I took a nap in it. I mean, but I'll make it look as good as new with a fluff and a tickle. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:28 That seems all right to me. Yeah, it's just, it's just rearranging stuff is what it seems to come down to. It needs to be fabric. You can fluff and tickle some fab, but like. Yeah, wood, counter, sink. That's more than flubing.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Yeah, new countertops are not a fluff and a tickle. Also, I was like, I've never heard this phrase. And I don't know if it's a thing that other people say, but he acted like it was just just normal real estate talk. That's just DIY talk. That is funny. I'm glad you wrote that down. Fluff and a tickle.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Do anything with there's a fluff and a tickle. You'll have to ask, yeah, kind of your real estate boys tonight you're getting together with Peter and Tate, see if they can guess this. So, fluff and a tickle. I have some things with words. Quick, quick segment. Things with words. I wrote down words that shouldn't exist.
Starting point is 00:41:17 Okay. And I'm sure I could have like waited until I had a list of like 10, but these are just the ones that came to mine. What's the, like yesterday. Inexplicable. This is a word that means unexplainable. This is a word that means you can't use words.
Starting point is 00:41:36 I'm just saying even just the way it's spelled and everything. Why don't we just use the word unexplainable? Instead, because we do inexplic. Why is splick in there when the root word is explain? I fully agree. That just kind of doesn't really like make sense
Starting point is 00:41:53 to me. Inexplainable. Splick, they're like, oh, you can't split it then. You're unable to split it. So are you going to have problem with any word that has like Latin roots to it? Maybe. Hit me was.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Okay. Inexplicable. I don't know. Okay. Like it'd be like the word arrange. It's rearrangeable. Like that makes, like most words do make sense when you add a little prefix or, you know, onto it. It's like, yeah, you still keep the same word.
Starting point is 00:42:26 But when you change the core of it, like, why don't we just say unexplainable? Okay. I'm on your side now because when have you ever said it's explicable? Explic that to me. Yeah, you're right. Like, I don't quite understand. Split it real quick? that's fair dude like there's certain words that are like there's no what's the root of this word
Starting point is 00:42:44 in english because i was thinking in spanish i think to explain is expli car i believe okay but we're not we're not freaking in china right now all right we're not buying new no we're not buying m oqs of 500 right now you know so it's like inexplicable yeah kind of like gorgeous No, that's a bad one. Never mind. That's okay. But where does gorgeous come, like, gorgeous. But then I thought of fabulous or, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Those are all by themselves. Takes much time as you. Spontaneous. They're spontaneity. There's not gorgiorgeity. Like, what's the noun for someone who's spontaneous is? No. Spontaneous.
Starting point is 00:43:39 spontaneity is a noun. There's no, there's no noun for gorgeous. There's no noun for... Yeah, I'm kind of with you on gorgeous. It kind of see you were saying. That's what I was trying to get around to. Flammable. That's one, that's my one thing on this thing. Or inflammable. No, no, that's not the one. What's the one that means the same thing? For me, I don't like how genius and ingenious mean the same thing. Don't they kind of... That's good. Yeah, I don't know how to use it. Is ingenious even more genius? Like, I don't know why
Starting point is 00:44:09 Because on the inside They both are They both mean genius Like they both are positive Yeah, it's not like What's that other word Where one's like a good thing And one's a bad thing
Starting point is 00:44:20 It's like infamy versus You know what I'm trying to say Famous and infamous Yeah, that's what it is Famous versus infamous Yeah They're a little different But genius and ingenious
Starting point is 00:44:30 It feels like the same word Yeah I would put that on my list That's a good one Okay, thank you Don't you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life? You know the same way you can skip an ad. I get it. I'm Siaia and I live in Ice Cove. I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned.
Starting point is 00:44:48 And today I'm still figuring it out. Somehow things usually get worse before they get better. Apparently, that's how I roll. So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride. Stream a new episode of North of North Tuesdays on CBC Gem. Well, and then there's ingenious. you're being disingenuous right little joke English is tough little joke
Starting point is 00:45:15 little joke for the podcast but what's the one that's like flammable and inflammable that's not it but like isn't there a word that's like either way it's the same I think I know what you're trying to say yeah it's like
Starting point is 00:45:26 I don't know if it's flammable but yeah it's like you added the word I in which normally would mean like it's either different or indifferent but it doesn't change it yeah it's all the same Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Other word on my list is the word melodramatic. You look up this word. What does mellow dramatic mean? You get a one word definition that says overdramatic. Huh, that's interesting. Let me take a second look there. That looks like the same amount of letters. But mellow is more confusing than over.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Especially because mellow by itself, don't mean more. You know what I'm saying? Like, oh, that guy's pretty mellow. And it's not spelled M-E-L-O. I don't mess with him. Anyway, so what is it? What kind of prefix is mellow? Is dramatic?
Starting point is 00:46:14 Just like our culture's version of like shortening melodramatic? You think melodramatic came first? Hmm. It would seem that way. It would appear so. It would appear so. Mellow. Are there other words that started with M-E-L-O?
Starting point is 00:46:30 Marshmallow. Mellow. Yeah, there's that one. Caramello. Yeah, right. There's two that start with it. Caramello, Anthony. Melo-yellow.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Melatonin. Yeah, meelotone. Melanoma. Melanoma. Melanoma. Okay. It's like, yeah. Yeah, people say noma all the time. Not for me.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Say melanoma. Nice try, melanoma. Not in this form. Melodramatic. Yeah, I'm all fine. Nice try. Fluffing and tickle that, boy. So melodramatic is my second one.
Starting point is 00:47:11 And then the last one, the only one I could think of quickly, trying to think this. This is something that Rachel pointed out and we've had like just kind of fun time poking fun of. I think you see this a lot like when you read books and fiction, novels and everything. That was redundant. But the authors will say something like it was a bright, beautiful, sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, save for a few in the distance. Save for. Okay. I can't stand that.
Starting point is 00:47:42 It's in literature everywhere. It's so just like, ugh, weird. You just wrote that just to write save for a few quotes. Yeah. Yeah, that is so unnatural. We had an amazing week. Save for a few arguments here and there.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Save for? I go as far as to say that if one of my friends said that, they're no longer going to get invited to my next thing. Thea. Like that's like only if I accidentally see you in the grocery store kind of friend. Hey, good to see you, man. How's the iPhone duo? Save for, you know, birthday parties where they bring me.
Starting point is 00:48:20 So, yeah, it is fun now for Rachel and I. I mean, every once a day we say something like, hey, how is Teddy today? He was pretty good. The nurses loved him. Save for that one we don't like. Save for. Save for. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Ridiculous. get it out of here. Yeah, that's one. Never have I ever heard somebody say that. No, you never once hear it. No. Just in dumb books. And that's when you know you shouldn't put it in books. Yeah. You know? Yep. This is one of those times where we're going to, we talk about it all the time. It's, it's Jake, it's Brad, it's Tyman. We endorse Cozy Earth all the time. But every once in while, you don't believe us. You think they're just talking because they're the host of the ghost of Ghostrunners podcast. They want us to go to cozy earth.com slash ghostrunners. I need to hear it from somebody else. These guys get paid 20 grand every episode. Of course they're going to say nice things.
Starting point is 00:49:17 Every week. Yeah. And so it's like, okay, fine. You know what? We brought in an expert. We brought in a guy who is more comfortable talking about Cozy Earth than anybody else. He is from New Jersey. and he looks just like Tyman, but he talks like he's from New Jersey. So give it up for for Cozy Carlos. Cozy Carlos, you're on live. What's going on, guys? Hey, cozy, how are you doing?
Starting point is 00:49:53 Hey, feeling cozy. How about you? Really good, man. Thanks for being here. It means a lot. Yeah, yeah. I got to walk somewhere. You got to walk somewhere. Make it quick.
Starting point is 00:50:05 Oh, sure. Do you like walking in jeans? I mean, what's your method of... I used to be a jeans guy, but I found something new. It's these joggers. Joggers, yeah. I mean, let me tell you, Brad, they're cozy. I'm not going to...
Starting point is 00:50:23 I'm going to keep it clean, but they're cozy as... They're really... You know, yeah. You can picture it. Cozy as hobo. spoken in here. Exactly. So, and you, you gifted those to me, though, so where, I, I forget where those are even from. Oh, absolutely. They're from cozy earth.com. And if you go to cozyertroth com slash ghostrunners, that's the preferred way of buying them. Yeah. Is that so? Huh. It's so.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Yeah. I tell you what, Brad. I also, you gave me those, those sheets and I, and those were good, too, I thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you said, you said, you, uh, you said, you said, you, uh, you said you wanted some more for your mom, right? My mom loves them. She, when you sent them in the mail or she bought them herself. Which, which wanted to, was it? Line, loin. Cozyert.com slash ghostrunners.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Cozyers. Cozyers. Cozyers. Cozyoise. Cozytocom. Cozy. Slash ghost runners. Go buy some stuff.
Starting point is 00:51:24 Yeah. And you, and so I don't know about you. We're big in discounts in my family. I don't know how you were raised, but we love getting a discounted price on something. Yeah, I don't come for much money, so I'll take what I can get. Yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:51:38 So, yeah, every dollar counts. So 20% off if you use promo code GRKC. And how about that Mumbami guy? Yeah, he's here. I don't know what stance this guy is supposed to have. He's here. He's here. What is there to say?
Starting point is 00:51:56 Yeah, he's close by. He's in charge. Thank you, Carlos. He's here is perfect. Thank you, Carlos. I really appreciate it. Good luck on your walk. Thanks, man.
Starting point is 00:52:06 I'll catch you. On the other side. On the other side, yeah. On the other side street. What they say. Perfect. Cozier.com slash ghostrunners, GRKC, 20% off.
Starting point is 00:52:19 Yeah. I like it when people write books the way that we talk, you know what I'm saying? Yes. I'm drawn to like shows or... sketches, anything in entertainment that feels natural to how humans actually talk. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:34 Just so much better. Do you care in shows if they like do things that are a little bit, like they just skip ahead or, you know, they're a little melancher. Like someone's like, oh, they couldn't have done that and then this and then that. They got to show every single aspect of their life. And I'm like, I don't want to watch every single. I don't need to see them eat or sleep.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just assume it happens. Here's something I think is funny, especially with like 90s sitcoms, is like some super extreme thing would happen to them in the end of an episode and then the next episode, they're totally fine.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Like, Steve Berkel would actually shave. They were in the middle of you. Yeah, Steve Berkel actually like shaves Carl's head off or something. And it's like, next episode, no, he's good. It's been a week. He's guys, he's got his eyebrows again, you know, no problem.
Starting point is 00:53:24 It grew back. I think that's kind of a funny thing. I'm just like, no, we just know every episode just by itself and we're fine. This isn't the exact same thing, but something I always loved about arrested development. And I kind of want to do this with our limo series back in the day. And I don't think we really pulled it off. But at the end of every episode, they would say next time on Arrested Development. And they would kind of wrap up a few like little loose ins from the current episode and just add some extra jokes.
Starting point is 00:53:52 And none of that ever appeared in the next episode. They were just like fun little like tidbits, just funny. like, oh, and this happened to him in the end. Yeah, it was just like an inside joke based off of what happened. Yeah, and just a little bit more to it. And it's just, yeah, it was just like three quick hitting, like pretty funny things that make a already going joke even better. But they would set it up as like next time on and it was never next. Did you love a rest of development? Yes. Still, I still love it. Every now and then I'll watch it while I'm like eating lunch. top what percent or top what top five for you probably and part of that is because i haven't seen a
Starting point is 00:54:30 ton of comedy shows uh but yeah i think it's very very good is that the jason bateman michael sarah yeah yeah great cast and i think it's really fun yeah yeah cast was unreal yeah it just the the type of characters they had i mean yeah buster and tobias and this is well done yeah That's a funny show. Love it. Let's do some schmose. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:55:00 How about it? How about do some schmars. All right, we thought of this one about six minutes before recording. So we'll see how it goes. The smores of places you want to go. Place you want to go. Yeah. Places you want to go.
Starting point is 00:55:17 Just in general. Just places. I don't know who won the last schmores. It's in the future. because it's in the future Oh, place you want to go Oh Let's go
Starting point is 00:55:29 Jake Brad Timon First one I wrote down Place I want to go At any given time I bet I want to go to Hawaii Oh sure Always loved it since I first went You say hey
Starting point is 00:55:41 What are you doing today You want to go Hawaii I'd say yes Place I want to go Yeah Hawaiian Island Right now You would go to Hawaii
Starting point is 00:55:51 Yeah Yeah fair out of always. There's no, there's no, like bad time of year. It's like,
Starting point is 00:55:57 no, it's hot here, so I don't want to go somewhere else hot. It'd be nice in Hawaii. Yeah. It's beautiful. It's always perfect.
Starting point is 00:56:03 It's always waiting on you. Save for a few thunderstorms every now and then. Save for monsoon season. Yeah. All right. My first one plays you want to go. This was fresh on the, fresh on the old,
Starting point is 00:56:17 uh, noodle. Place I want to go downstairs to watch football. Yeah. Hmm. It's good. It's a haven down there. It's nice and cool. I thought you guys say the Apple store.
Starting point is 00:56:26 That's good too, though. I get my cuddle blanket from cozy earth. You know, maybe get a, maybe get a can of pop and just sit down there with my red zone or, you know, whatever. Even in like a cozy environment, would you still go like ice cold, you know, Coke Zero or something? Yeah, bud. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:46 I'd make the rest of it. I mean, especially for sports, maybe for like a, you know, yeah. Like, for a movie, I'd consider a warm drink. But sports, you don't want to get too warm. No. You know? No. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Yeah, I think for like a nice, like a warm movie. You know what I mean by warm movie? Like it's based in Central America. No. Almost the opposite. Oh, I think I mean like warmth of my heart. Like, um, like a rom-com or, uh, you know, like, like, just, just kind of a drama, like the aviator, or
Starting point is 00:57:25 Catch Me if you can, or Inception, or Titanic. These are all the same category. Yeah. And the category being would like a warm drink accompanying it. The Revenant, dude. Maybe like, sounds like just anything not based in Central America, you would have a warm drink.
Starting point is 00:57:42 Maybe, I don't know. Let me think here. Like a feel good, rom-com type. Rom-com. The Shutter Island. The Great Gatsby, the new Great Gatsby is pretty warm. Wolf of Wall Street, pretty warm. Get the kids, gather them around.
Starting point is 00:58:01 We're going to learn about day trading. Romeo and Juliet maybe? Yeah, Casablanca. No, like warm movies like, yeah, rom-com, maybe a nice, like the terminal. That's a nice warm movie. It warms your heart, nice time. I don't need a hot coffee when I'm watching baby drivers. though. That's not a warm movie.
Starting point is 00:58:23 Okay. That's a cold drink with some, yeah. Yeah, whatever. Yeah. If you're, if you're watching a sports game and you're like all warm and cozy,
Starting point is 00:58:32 it's like, that's like fluff and tickle. Like I'm not like doing my part as a fan. Yeah. I'm not in it. Yeah, honestly, I'm thinking like, yeah, that setting could be good,
Starting point is 00:58:43 but you could do a lot better if you had a little fluff and tickle. Anyway, that's my first answer. Downstairs, watch football. Okay. Place I want to go. My first answer, I'm going to say a hot spring.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Oh. I feel like I always hear there's like these natural hot tubs in the world. And that sounds awesome. I want to go sit in a hot spring. That's a good answer. Thanks. I've never been. I know don't sit in the ones in Yellowstone,
Starting point is 00:59:09 but you should sit in the ones in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Okay. What do you mean? What's wrong with Yellowstone? Oh, they've got some like thermal pools that'll just incinerate your body or just melt it basically. Oh, too hot. Hot, hot, hot, hot springs.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Okay. Oh, wow. So I want to go to a hot spring, not a really hot spring. Yes. Never said that. Fun. Second. I never thought of this.
Starting point is 00:59:35 Second pick, I'm going to say Quick Trip. I always want to go to Quick Trip. Good answer. If anyone's ever like, oh, let's stop a quick trip. Yeah, of course I want to go to quick trip. You know something I've never said is someone, like we pull up at a gas station, convenience store. You want to say?
Starting point is 00:59:51 car? No. No way. Let's go inside. See what's going on. Yeah. Yeah, if nothing else, just see what's new in the world of that world. See what's going on. Yep. Wow. Eminem's have chewy caramel, crunchy Eminem's now? That's fun. I had no idea. I'm not going to buy them, but fun. Yeah, Eminem's, they kind of keep it coming. It's funny. Some candy brands, I feel like, just refuse to do anything but meat and potatoes. And then I feel like there's some that are always churning out something. Cereals always turning out. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:24 Maybe not Wheaties. But most cereals are getting after it. Eminem's getting after it. Because like every once in a while it's like, whoa, that one stuck. We need to keep that peanut butter Eminem's are unbelievable. Mountain Dew, they're getting after. They're always trying something. Mountain Dew is getting after it.
Starting point is 01:00:41 That's a good way to put it. Yes. I feel like Coke has been getting after a lot lately. They have been. They're throwing things against the win. Yeah. Dr. Pepper Cream Vanilla cream soda zero?
Starting point is 01:00:53 Whoa, are they getting after it? I guess. Yeah, they have like Blackberry. Yeah. Blackberry is kind of having its day right now. It's going for it? Yeah, I feel like last summer, Andy's frozen custard. Cool.
Starting point is 01:01:09 They put the herd on blackberries. I had it one time and it was nice. Yeah, it was Rachel's favorite. Stuck in your teeth for a while. Yeah, pre, not pre. Dessert. Time. Line.
Starting point is 01:01:25 Pre-desert, desert. All right. My next one, places I want to go. Once again, just anytime anybody says it, warms, mourns my heart.
Starting point is 01:01:33 Branson. Love Branson. On my list. I sure said it. Yeah, boy. I had Silver Dollar City on my list.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Dude. Dang it. That was my backup. I got to start writing new stuff down. There's just certain pillars out there in the world that are just like, or in the ghostrunners world where it's just like, we, we,
Starting point is 01:01:52 these are our values. One of them is Branson, Missouri. I just think there's something about it that anytime anybody's like, hey, we could do it in Branson, great idea, would love that. So there's too much good stuff in Branson right now. Dang, Branson's good.
Starting point is 01:02:05 And a little closer to the hot springs since you get down there. There you go. All right, my next two, I put a place, what is it, places you want to go. Place you want to go.
Starting point is 01:02:18 right now I would say to bed. Yeah, on my list. Oh yeah, always. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know what it is. I'm trying to figure it out because it's like it's not like I'm getting that little sleep.
Starting point is 01:02:33 Rachel's the one sleeping less. But like, even last night, like that I was like struggling last night. Time I got here and I was just like, gosh, I just like have a headache. I'm just not alert. And I slept seven hours last night. Like what's going on? Like, why am I? you know, whatever, it doesn't matter, but I'll go to bed anytime. Anytime you guys want to go,
Starting point is 01:02:52 I go. Great. I think your body just, it keeps track, dude. F.I. That's my hot. And there's probably some sort of emotional toll of a, you know, yeah, baby in the NICU, even though things are going well, but still, I don't know. I'll say, I go to bed. Maybe you're not sleeping as soundly or I don't them. Yeah. I felt like getting home from Gulf Shores and I, I slept fine in Gold Shores. I didn't get four hours of sleep. We're not going to get into that again. But I slept fine there, but like, I think just the toll of like being in charge for that long and getting home, it, like, I got plenty of nights where it was like, I got enough sleep last night. I got like 10 hours to sleep last night. Why am I still tired? And it feels like your body's just
Starting point is 01:03:40 like, well, we're still overcompens, or like, still trying to make up for that. Like whatever that was you just flew into Australia. It's gonna take a little bit Maybe dude so to bed is a good answer My next one hold up I'm gonna go ahead and take my two So sorry Respect the game I'm gonna say
Starting point is 01:04:04 Wait one two Oh I'm gonna go a 90s blockbuster Dang Right now I want to smell it I want to see it I want to rent a couple things. You got a year? I've never seen that movie. Who's in that?
Starting point is 01:04:22 A year is Leonardo DiCaprio, I think. I'm not sure. I'm not super familiar with him. What was that movie? I want to say it was like Jack Black and Michael Sarah. Year one, year zero? I never saw it. Both. Maybe I'd rent that. No, I don't get rent that.
Starting point is 01:04:40 What year would you go back to? Oh, I see. What do you think is pinnacle for you? As far as like, oh, that was it. I would feel like I was using those, like, well into high school. Like, I think I was still driving and going into Springfield to family video to rent stuff. You know, I think DVDs were still kicking, like, oh, yeah. You know, my entire time in Stratford.
Starting point is 01:05:04 So I might go, I know I said 90s, but I might go like 2004 or something, actually. Really? Like eighth grade or something like that. Yeah, go rent something that's like, like I'm allowed to see some comedies, but I want to watch it with the family. Like, let's go rent Bruce Almighty. I would say whatever year, like,
Starting point is 01:05:27 maybe like two or three years after the N64 came out. That's the year I won. I never rented a game. Never rented a game. No. You didn't have ants that spoiled you like mine did. Yeah, is that what it was? I was going to say,
Starting point is 01:05:40 oh yeah, it's in he was like, you can get two games if you want. I was like, two games? From what I remember, my mom told me that it cost a million dollars to rent a video game. So it was just like. did. No, she's right. She's right.
Starting point is 01:05:52 It was crazy. It was like $9.99 per night. So we never rented the game. Love it. All right. My next one, may I go now? You may.
Starting point is 01:06:04 Place I want to go. I want to go. Tell me if this is acceptable or not. If not, I can just say the other answer. I want to go grab a bite. It's not a place.
Starting point is 01:06:17 I can say restaurants. if you want me to, but it's just, it's just more fun. Kind of like, kind of like when you knock on the table and you say, we think, in pizza. Yeah. Like, it's just fun to say, you want to go grab a bite? You guys a little hungry? I would always like to grab a bite.
Starting point is 01:06:30 Grab a bite sounds so appealing to me. Yeah. Yeah. I think you earn that pick. Okay. Through your actions. You live that pick. You know, just talk to talk.
Starting point is 01:06:41 You want to go grab a bite. It just sounds so casual. It sounds so fun. It doesn't have to be anything crazy. It sounds like such a treat. Yeah. Grab a bite. I want to introduce that into my vernacular.
Starting point is 01:06:51 I don't say it like that. You know, like it's the same vibes if it's like, guys are going to go a quick trip. But like, I want to grab a bite even more than I want to go to quit trip probably. Like, you know,
Starting point is 01:07:04 I could do both. Yeah. But I want to grab a bite. You go grab a bite. Yeah, it's awesome. That's good. So.
Starting point is 01:07:12 For my third pick, I'm going to say this one's not going to resonate among you guys, necessarily, maybe Brad actually, Narnia, I would love to go to Narnia. Yeah, it doesn't resonate with me at all, unfortunately. I didn't know if you would like read them with your kids or anything. I need to. I don't, I'm not familiar with them, even though my kids are very familiar with them. Okay.
Starting point is 01:07:33 But Catherine was the one that read them. Cold there or no. I was downstairs watching football. I think it's like all the temperatures. All right. Save for maybe scorching hot. Save for a few degrees. Save for like dangerously hot hot springs.
Starting point is 01:07:48 Yeah, I'd say probably Narnia, post, post never-ending winter. Thank you. Yeah. Write that down, Madison. All right. Oh, then you get another one time. And this one, I just, I want to go to the Dolly Parton Stampede. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:08 I've never been. And I know this isn't places you've never been, because you guys already did that one. But I would like to go there. Dude, you would love that. Go with the boys. You got to go with the boys and just have so much fun. Should they go and all be on the same side or should they be on two different sides, cheering against each other.
Starting point is 01:08:27 It would be fun to send Zach over on the side by himself and the rest of you are all on your own side. Oh, man, that's fun. Just eat with your hands. Yeah, sounds awesome. A big old meal too. More than you can eat, probably. I thought it was, they give you each. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:46 Pretty cool that the flags were. half staff for Dolly Parton's death. I didn't know. Yeah. I was like, man, I think I missed out because so many people that I knew were like, I'm, this is like, I'm devastated. What, like my childhood, I'm like, I didn't. I know who she is.
Starting point is 01:09:06 I definitely learned a lot more interesting facts about her after she died. Yeah. Than before. Like, what's the famous Elvis song? I will, the love song. Can't help falling in love. Can't help falling in love. That's Dolly Parton song.
Starting point is 01:09:21 She wrote that. Huh. She also wrote, I will always love you. That's not Whitney Houston's song. It's Dolly Parton song. Good. And it's rumored,
Starting point is 01:09:31 and I think somewhat confirmed that those were written on the same day. It's a good day. Yeah, isn't that crazy? Those she found on like the same tape what she eats. She was in love, bro.
Starting point is 01:09:41 Yeah, she's feeling it. Wow. Really? That's a pretty cool thing. Yeah. And I think it's true. Tell me more. Dolly. I don't know that much about Dolly. Those are the big hitters.
Starting point is 01:09:52 Okay. Her hair's fake. Only thing fake on her. Whig. Her hair's fake. For real. It is, dude. I'm pretty sure. Really? Yeah, I think it was a, because I don't think she's blonde. Okay. Once again, I already got the big hitters out of the way. But she, uh, she had a husband, like her whole life. I thought maybe she was single. I never saw any kind of like male. companion, but I guess she had a husband, love her life. He was around for a long time. He just didn't like the public eye, so he just stayed back. Worked on her wigs or something, maybe. I don't know. What was his name? His name? John. John Parton. Everyone's name was John. John Parton. Yeah. He's from the 1800 or something. Yeah, everyone's name was John back then. Okay
Starting point is 01:10:47 Husband Devoted husband Devoted wife to To John I learned about that That kind of book thing she did Oh yeah That's cool
Starting point is 01:10:59 That's nice Free books for all Yeah Free for all I've seen a clip of her Playing guitar on a show With like Two inch long nails
Starting point is 01:11:09 And like doing a really good job Oh yeah That's incredibly impressive Built in picks Yeah Timon you know Johnny Car I've heard the name. He was like the original.
Starting point is 01:11:19 Oh, to talk show host. Not the original. Yeah. I saw some like discourse online where like, is Dolly Parton going to be like the last, um, unanos.
Starting point is 01:11:32 How do you say? Yeah. Like universally loved. Yeah. Universally loved celebrity. Which is kind of interesting to think about like just, everything's just divisive now and it's tough. And so the internet was trying to think of like who else would even be in
Starting point is 01:11:45 that category now. They were saying like Jack Black. Okay. I honestly don't even know if I can think of another one besides that. Hmm. Do you think Chris Pratt is pretty university love? No. I think he got political. I don't even know which direction, but yeah. Sorry. I have no, I'm just like I don't think since I've seen anything negative, it's like well then sure like I don't know. Yeah. I think that's what yeah. I was going to say I think these days, A, we're just way too exposed to. I don't know. I don't everything about somebody. Yeah. Like I bet Michael Jordan
Starting point is 01:12:18 would be hated today. Like if people knew everything they knew about him. Yeah, it's true. In his time. Like, I mean, not hated, but at least more divisive than he was.
Starting point is 01:12:26 Yeah. A, exposure, B. Yeah, if you have, if you have any sort of opinion these days, it's going to be divisive. So therefore, and people expect you to have opinions
Starting point is 01:12:37 if you're in the public eye. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah, was Dulli Parton just, did she just not ever really take a stance on anything? Is that what happened? Or did she just,
Starting point is 01:12:45 find the perfect stances to appease everybody. Good question. She says books are good. So I guess that's a stance. Yeah. Yeah, that one's not too divisive. Yeah, I buy it. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:58 Mr. Beast, probably. Yeah. Mr. Beast? I mean, you joke. Do people dislike them? Uh, and if so, are those people weeners? I'd have to check.
Starting point is 01:13:13 I don't know. I'm sure people, people can find, that's the thing. Like, well, the internet, that's also true. Like, the internet, you can find somebody who's a hater of anything. Yeah, it's true. I don't know if I see much Mr. Beast love. I feel like I've seen mostly just hating on him. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:28 That's the thing. That's the thing. Maybe people disliked Dolly Parton back in the day, too, and we just didn't know about it because there wasn't the internet to show every single person's opinion on everything. That's the key to being well liked. Be born 85 years ago. Or at least ignorantly.
Starting point is 01:13:41 Like, look at Trump. That you're not liked. Trump's doing just, Yeah, he's very universally like, dude, that reminds me. Yeah, let's get into it. I was very convinced. I woke up from this dream and I thought,
Starting point is 01:13:56 I am not, I don't know, dude. I'm going to war. I don't know if that was a dream. I was very convinced that we were going to have Joe Biden as a guest on Ghostrunners podcast. I was, for whatever reason, I drove with him. We switch cameras, Joe, come on in here. He's in Phoenix with me.
Starting point is 01:14:11 But you know what's funny, dude, what's funny is that we had talked about how we had to record a different time this week. And I forgot that we were going to record a different time. And so I had like set everything up with Joe, is me and Joe getting ready. He was like being very vulnerable. He's like, I've never been on a podcast before.
Starting point is 01:14:26 I'm kind of worried I'm going to look like a dork. I was like, you know, the only way you can look like a dork is if you're not yourself, Joe, just be yourself. And then you call me and you're like, dude, I'm busy right now. And I'm like, oh, crap. We changed it. And then I woke up. And I was like, I, I'm pretty sure of the dream.
Starting point is 01:14:44 Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a dream, but like, let me double check. You know when you wake up and you're like not quite convinced? I know. You can be awake. Your eyes can be open. And still you think Joe Biden like might be coming on the podcast. He's like he's never done one before. This could be huge for our brand.
Starting point is 01:15:00 But like, are we going to get the right eyeballs? Are we going to get, you know, who's going to, who's going to like this now? Is John Chris still going to want to have us on his podcast after this? So. And he drove me there. And that's why I was more nervous about him driving. He took for every reason. He took my truck.
Starting point is 01:15:16 And I gave him directions. I was like, take a left here. He was on the phone the whole time. So he's kind of distracted. Anyway, I'm not a guy that likes to rehash his dreams very often, but that's reminded me of that when you said Donald Trump. You got it. I guess we could talk about good ranchers now.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Oh, right now? I would. If you would. Yeah. I'm down. I'm down to talk. Great. DTT.
Starting point is 01:15:35 I got a chicken box on the way. Oh, yeah. That'll get you there. Yeah. You've been grilling? I know you've been busy. You probably haven't grilled much recently. More than you think. I feel like we've had company over or when Tommy and Corey were here. I grilled once. Yeah. I don't know their names, but they came over and I grilled for him. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:01 They said, hey, it's nice to meet you. Worcise. I don't want to hear it. How do you want your chicken cooked? They said, well done. How do you want your chicken cooked? I said, I know. Everyone says that when I asked. Everyone says that. All right. 165, we'll do it. Okay. Not very, yeah. You don't have much variety when it comes to the chicken.
Starting point is 01:16:20 Yeah. Preferences here. No, but I have been doing a little bit of Blackstone. And I'll tell you, it's rather hot. Because I grill outdoors. And it is hot outdoors and the grill is hot. That's three hot. That's triple hot.
Starting point is 01:16:38 Step away from the grill. It feels pretty nice, though. Not quite. not there's Debo in there somewhere. 105 feels pretty good if you're not on the grill anymore. Yeah, that'll do it. It feels great. Are you a,
Starting point is 01:16:50 I have to have a can of something with me while I, while I grow. Oh, yeah. Tobacco. Yep. Yeah, seasoning. Vikings fan. No, just a nice, it doesn't have to be,
Starting point is 01:17:04 it can be LaCroix, can be Oli-pop, whatever, whatever Bo gets me, honestly, Bo and I just share a nice can of something while we're grilling. It's Nirvana out there, man. That is nice. Yeah. But we're here to talk about Good Ranchers.
Starting point is 01:17:19 And one of my favorite places, yeah, two grill. Well, no, sorry, one of my favorite things, Two Grill is a can of steak. Of Good Rangers steak. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I'll do some canning. I don't know if they come in cans anymore. I think they come in just box forms.
Starting point is 01:17:35 That's right. New policy. So you're looking for a box of frozen meat that's good for you and it's our and has nothing added and it's all American and it supports American people and American farmers. No cans, no additives, just the meat. Yeah. No fluff, no tickle, just good. Go to good ratios.com. Use promo code GRCC. Support us. Support the farmers. That's right. And grill. You guys know, you guys know, you guys love them. Um, Taco skillet is the recipe that we had last night. It's a, it's a fan favorite. And it also, you can put a bunch of vegetables in there.
Starting point is 01:18:11 kids love it because they don't even notice the vegetables because they're amazed by that meat from Good Ranchers. So check them out today. Good Ranch.com. G-R-K-C-C. All right. My last pick of places I want to go. I'll go ahead and lock up this win. That's not the only reason I'm saying it for the record. Church. Okay? Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:34 Anytime people say, you want to go church? Yeah, I do. Yeah, I do. Want to grab bite on the way? Oh! church in a bite. Church at a bite, dude. Oh, my.
Starting point is 01:18:46 That sounds, that is the perfect Sunday. Church and a bite with a little downstairs for football. Head to Branson afterwards. Yeah. It's a good day. Anyway, church. Please, I want to go. My last pick.
Starting point is 01:19:02 Wait, is it my last pick? Did you last pick? Yeah. Is, uh, I put anywhere on business class. Oh, yeah. Did it once change my life? Yeah. We'd love to do it again.
Starting point is 01:19:14 I hope I get to someday. And I'll go anywhere. Would you go, would you go Phoenix to Albuquerque, like a nice, like, 45-minute flight? No problem. Business class? Yeah, I'll go. Yeah, okay, yeah. What about Phoenix to Flagstaff?
Starting point is 01:19:30 22 minutes. What class of seat will I be in? Business. Oh, yeah, I'll go. Okay. What about Phoenix to Sydney, but you only only? only get to stay in Sydney long enough to go to the restroom in the airport and then you get back on the plane.
Starting point is 01:19:46 But you're on business class. That actually does not sound that great. That's not sound like a good use of my time. What about Phoenix to Shanghai business class but no Wi-Fi? But you have a foldable phone. I'm in. Yeah. We downloaded some things.
Starting point is 01:20:10 I'm just flipping it open the whole time. I don't even know what to do. I've never seen Shailene Woodley this tall. Dude, speaking to Shanghai, which is probably end up being this segment on the Friday podcast, but like two days ago, Scott decided he's going to learn Chinese. That's really all that needs to be said.
Starting point is 01:20:34 Yes, that will be every, I mean, that could be your whole podcast every week. It's just him saying. an update. That is fun. I am so excited to see that.
Starting point is 01:20:44 Yeah. I was, I was, I try to support most things that you guys do. I was not sure I was going to be a regular listener of the podcast or not when you guys talk about pickleball the whole time. I will listen every week if, if you guys have Scott in his Chinese journey out there. Let me see. He sent a voice memo somewhere a couple days ago to our kind of like director of Asia who is fluent in Chinese. So this is his first day.
Starting point is 01:21:10 Don't you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life? You know, the same way you can skip an ad. I get it. I'm Siaiaa and I live in Ice Cove. I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned. And today, I'm still figuring it out. Somehow things usually get worse before they get better. Apparently, that's how I roll.
Starting point is 01:21:32 So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride. Stream a new episode of North of North Tuesdays on CBC Gem. Think night? Oh, that's it. It's pretty short. It's sweet. Thoughts? Let me try to say exactly what I heard. And you time and you tried to do everything. Okay. I think, first of all, I think it sounded good. Okay. What? I mean, you do everything. Okay. Brad, you do the voice. I'll do everything.
Starting point is 01:22:08 You do it too. Sorry. Whatever. Oh, Timmon. Time gets the same room as Jake and all of a sudden he's just, you do everything. Oh, yeah. Oh, sorry. Okay. playback one more time. Let's do like telephone. So I'll do it and then time and does whatever I, he heard me today. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Oh, Hey, show. It's your putt-on-wa. That's pretty good. Oh, hey, show. Ain't a point you on boy? Pretty good. Okay, now play them in reverse and see what song we were singing. Does that feel like that game?
Starting point is 01:22:44 It just like, take me, just listen to, I took me back to like, I can't remember how it sounds. What if I reversed that it was a Dolly Parton song is a magic trick Full circle baby How'd you know I was gonna put that on my smorg? That's pretty fun Did the Chinese guy that did he send it to him? Yeah, he goes El M.A. Oh, understandable, but far away from proper and Scott's like yeah dude, it's my first day Give me a break
Starting point is 01:23:14 Yeah, you didn't get quite the region that I'm from. Besides that's good for Guangzhou, but Shanghai, good luck, buddy. That's great. So yeah, business class. Can't wait. Honorable mentions. I think the only one left on my list was Chick-fil-A. But it kind of had grab a bite.
Starting point is 01:23:41 Grab a bite. I had Mount Hood. We talked about the last episode. It sounds kind of fun. Dude perfect HQ. Oh, dude perfect HQ. I'm actually, there's a ghosty that works there.
Starting point is 01:23:53 Oh, that's right. That's pretty fun. Yes, there is timing. Yeah. There is an intrigued face. It wasn't a critiquing face. His name's Kobe.
Starting point is 01:24:02 No. So yeah, if I'm ever in Dallas, I'm going to try to make that happen. Back in time, not really a place, but we'd love it. Yeah. Kind of like what you said,
Starting point is 01:24:12 about 90s blockbuster. Yeah. Movies. National Park. On a walk. Coffee shop. That's it. It's great.
Starting point is 01:24:26 It's great. Yeah. Places. So let us know. Vote in the Facebook group. Ghosties. Yeah. Always appreciate the banter in there.
Starting point is 01:24:37 Let us know what you guys would have said. Places you want to go. I think, uh, Last thing on my list, just speaking of Asia, did you happen to see? I know I talked about it weeks ago on the podcast. I was like, the last thing I'm doing before I leave Gulf Shores is we were pranking Isaac, setting him up on a date.
Starting point is 01:24:54 Have you had a chance to see any of that video yet? I did. I'll be honest, I watched the first minute and then I skipped to the date. So I didn't watch the leading up. I was like, I want to see how this is out. And it was pretty awesome. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:08 It's pretty good throughout it. I think it's like by far, most popular video, at least in the first three days. So it's kind of fun that all the work we put into it, you know, is paying off time and especially kind of asked a lot of time into like crank this out. Let's go tea? And yeah, I did everything. Yeah. Yeah, it was fun to see it come together. Isaac was like genuinely shocked, you know, he walks into the coffee shop and Rachel Nash, you've Degger, what have you guys done? What did you guys do? Right. That's a great reaction.
Starting point is 01:25:38 And so, yeah, this video, we post it, you know, you're kind of always nervous. when you put a lot of effort into a video. You go, I hope people watch. It's been out for about an hour, and it's crushing. It's like beyond what I could have expected. Okay, this is awesome. It's so fun. Dopamine's hitting.
Starting point is 01:25:53 Get a text from Naomi. She's like, hey, my, the owner of my paddle sponsor is pretty frustrated. Can you take the video down? Uh-oh. And I said, no. No, we cannot. Did you say no, or did you put an expletive in front of it? I'd say, oh, wing down with his hole.
Starting point is 01:26:12 boy. You're like, have those people contact me and we'll see if we can merge our companies, you know. Did you see that part of the date where they cheers and Isaac says cheers and cheers in Chinese and she's Vietnamese? Yes, that was funny. Gambang. Vietnamese. Yeah. That's, I mean, that's fair.
Starting point is 01:26:33 I mean, I guess whatever. We don't even know that pedal company though probably. Yeah, it was too bad. I mean, I didn't just say, no, I typed out a like very lengthy. message, you know, just like, yeah. Thanks again for being the video. You're so great. Everyone loves you.
Starting point is 01:26:48 We're not going to take it down. We put too much work into this. Honestly, I think it's a win-win. The only paddle actually mentioned in the video is yours. I really think this is good for everyone. Sorry if it puts you on an awkward spot, but we can't take this down. We spent too much time on it.
Starting point is 01:27:02 She was like, she's just the messenger. Yeah, she's like totally. Just pretend you never saw this. Yeah, just, I'm going to tell them I asked. Yeah. That's all. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:10 I still wanted to hurt. know where we're coming from but no yeah she even like we posted a short form version of it she reposted it put it on her story i was like oh yeah she doesn't care no that's funny um yeah that was great so now you're like okay now we need to do more date videos you know what i think uh i'm gonna do and i think it's okay to say it on the podcast because i don't really think you listens that often but the next time something like this does happen i would like to do something like so let's say the next time we're somewhere in matt CEO Matt is in town. I'd love to get Matt in and like, hey, we're going to do a part two where we prank
Starting point is 01:27:47 Isaac with yada yada, yada, fill in the blank. But really, Isaac is in on it and we are pranking Matt somehow. Love that. I think that is the goal someday somehow. That's the formula. I don't know what the details are, but that's going to be good. The double prank. Yeah, prank the pranker. The, you never see it coming. You know me? One of my favorite pranks is the one you told me about. The ice cream. It's undefeat. Do you know what we're referring to, timing? Yeah, so good. So good, dude.
Starting point is 01:28:15 He's seen the cafeteria where it goes down. He got a sprite in that area. It was awesome. Or did he get a sprite? Frank. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's good. I like that a lot.
Starting point is 01:28:28 Gamba. Or Isaac's like, whatever, dude. It's close enough. Oh, yeah. Isaac was great on camera. He was great. It's awesome. Cool.
Starting point is 01:28:46 Win of the week? Yeah, we got any wins? Trying to find a comment of the week, but yeah, win of the week as well. My win of the week is, it's kind of a, it's a, it's a blessing and a curse. But Henry is pretty unpredictable these days as far as when he's getting up and he's able to get out of his crib himself. And for a while, he was wreaking havoc on the house, either just like going to the pantry and eating way too much or waking up everybody else, like, all.
Starting point is 01:29:12 all his brothers and sisters and everything. The win of the week is, A, he's not doing that. B, he is now coming into our room and crawling into bed with me and cuddling with me, which is really sweet. And he's like really good at staying quiet and like keeping Catherine asleep and everything. So it's kind of a sweet, sweet time. And I know it's not going to last for much longer, probably, you know, a month at most. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:34 He just comes in. It's like almost like having a dog. Like you just like wake up to this, you know, person just like crawling into bed. bed with you and he's just sweet, cuddles with me and everything and whispers, I didn't wake up, Rosie. I didn't wake up Rosie. And then he always wants a high five for not doing that.
Starting point is 01:29:54 I'm like, okay, that's awesome. Hi, hi-fi? Where's Palm? No, he doesn't say that, but anyway. So that's my one of the week is just, you just go through phases like that with your kids and it's a fun phase, right? I went through that with Rosie for a little bit and it's just like, I just know that it's not going to last forever, so embrace it while I can.
Starting point is 01:30:12 Yeah. That's fun. I mean, my win in the week's got to be just the Teddy Rachel combo. They're both doing great, handling everything great. You know, Teddy's not perfect. Still got some ups and downs, but for the most part, I feel like he's in good hands. He's a center. Yeah, he's not perfect. That's right.
Starting point is 01:30:37 But got some good updates just this morning from Rachel, why we've been recording that. Things are going well. Sweet. So, yeah, just trying to like, yeah, just keep in mind all the other things that could be not going well. Because he's still, he wasn't even supposed to be born for another three to four weeks from now. You know, so it's like, yeah, he's not taking a ton of milk. It's like, yeah, he's supposed to be sleeping for another month, basically. His mouth's not supposed to be open.
Starting point is 01:31:03 Yeah. What was his due date? October 11th. Okay. Yeah. Wow. It's crazy. So, yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:10 He's doing well. She's doing well. I'm a little tired but for the most part I'm doing well I'm sleepy at times my forehand dinks have been kind of weird it's not about me I'm fine I'm fine I think my fatigue is
Starting point is 01:31:25 affecting my serve by about two miles per hour and I don't know I've been lobbing a lot is that out of laziness I don't know I don't want to grind out a dink about I don't know what it is I haven't been able to drill as much as I wish I could anyway all right timing one of the week
Starting point is 01:31:40 probably just that video doing well. Yeah, that's nice. It is nice. It is fun. Yeah, spent a lot of time. Yeah. Fun to feel rewarded.
Starting point is 01:31:49 Yeah. Is it better when it's awesome? Like, like, you know, is the, or is it worse? Sorry, like, is the feeling more extreme in the negative when it doesn't work out and you think it's going to or in the positive when it does work out and you think it's going. Yeah. Does that make sense? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:09 I feel like the negative is more of a stronger feeling. I know, unfortunately. Yeah, I wish it wasn't the case. Yeah, I know. Same with comments. Then one negative one is stronger than 100 positive ones. Yeah. Unfortunately.
Starting point is 01:32:23 It just sucks when you're like, oh, this one is a good one. I can't wait for this one. And even if the comments are awesome for it, like this is the funniest video you guys have ever done. It's like, yeah, but 2,000 people saw it. Yeah, well, you cynicism people? Yeah. That feeling sucks.
Starting point is 01:32:40 You're just like, I, the video is done. I'll try and change the title thumbnail as much as I can, but like, I don't know. Maybe it's just not as good as I thought it was. How often has that truly like shifted the algorithm that much? Yeah, I mean,
Starting point is 01:32:54 once, yeah, you can't make a video better than it is. Desperate, like crap. Yeah. Let's change it to every, every coach ever instead of every coach.
Starting point is 01:33:04 Be like. That's the one thing that's going to make this thing go to a million views, dude. Yeah. What was the longest part of that process? Because I actually do the chemistry meter. Did that take a while? I don't know what it was.
Starting point is 01:33:20 I think it was just like... It's 20 things that took over. Yeah, I wish I had like... It probably could have been a little better if I just had like a better structure. But it was kind of like, okay, okay, now while Kyle's saying to add music here, I'm in the middle of the chemistry meter,
Starting point is 01:33:32 but I don't want to forget about that. Like things like that were just like, yeah, I don't know. I see. But I don't know. It's fun stuff though. Yeah. Yeah. I think Caleb Sullivan's got one of the top comments on that video.
Starting point is 01:33:44 So good job Caleb. Shout out. Yeah. What a guy. That's a high he's going to chase for a while. Yeah. And I think the comment is just direct quoting something I said. But that's a great formula.
Starting point is 01:33:54 That's an easy way to get up quotes. That is a great formula. Yeah. Yeah, basically in the middle of it, I go to Naomi and ask her a bunch of get to know you questions. It was one of the only jokes I actually set up for the entire thing. But I wanted to ask her favorite Disney prints, just so I could ask Isaac
Starting point is 01:34:11 favorite Disney princess just so I could make a joke of regardless who he said I can make a joke about like dang that's too bad he didn't say Mulan nice yeah yeah got him it's good got him crushed
Starting point is 01:34:23 Caleb loved it yeah it's a top comment so yeah my phone is dying here 4% all of a sudden what's happening comment of the week before it dies um
Starting point is 01:34:36 Johnson the injury reward shout out he said 82 and rainy bust out the sweaters because it's soup weather in Texas he gets it he's a texas man those Texans love their soup weather 82 is a little bit chilly why not have some chili my comment thank you uh i was reading through this one i'm gonna give this one to we don't get a first name we just get e e cambron e cambron uh kind of a four-part comment uh one honestly thought when y'all talking about coconut meat, you're doing some sort of intro to a good renter's head.
Starting point is 01:35:13 Two, I thought that the title of the pod, struck by lightning, correlated with Jake's hair. Never mind. It's pretty good. Three, seemed like he or she wasn't as on board with the... They just said, not the where my nicky is at. And then four, I love Teddy Talks.
Starting point is 01:35:32 So, three out of four. No, four or four. They like the way... You liked it, E. Cambrone. You liked it. Yeah. Come on. It was just like, whoa. These guys made that joke? Yeah. You liked it. You liked it. Come on. What other podcasts?
Starting point is 01:35:48 Come on. Yeah, exactly. Love it. Timmy, you got to comment. Yeah, I like Gracie's tunes doing the Caleb Solvin method. Just quoting, timing, what do you have one sock on? And I did watch that back and I did think it was pretty funny. I just walked in there. Yeah, you guys do a jingle. Yeah, get together. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:07 Timon, what are you doing? One sock on. Got a few blisties. Yep. Yeah, why did you have one sock on? I explained it in the episode. I forgot. Go back and listen to it then.
Starting point is 01:36:20 Okay, you're right. Fair, fair. That little teaser for, not teaser, pointing ghosties other episodes, there you go. Find out. It's a, I mean, once you hear why, you won't believe your jaw drop. Love it.
Starting point is 01:36:37 All right. Fun. fun times. Thanks for flex-in. Sorry we had to cancel on Joe, but thanks for doing that now. This is convenient for us. I appreciate it. Listen, I don't think it's a cancel. I think it's just a postponement. It's a, we'll see you later. Can you stay alive for one more week? It's like, are you even Joe? Do we really believe that's who it is? Let me get a good look at those earlobes. It's plastic surgery. That's just that they do. Tyler Tongue right now is going, you joke, but you joke. Okay, so technically,
Starting point is 01:37:09 that's so good. Hi, my name's Paul and you joke, but Hey Paul. We do need to get them back. I think it'd be fun. Here's what we need to do with Tyler. Because somebody, I think Braden Parsons was like, we need a five minute segment with him. Yeah. Every week or something, conspiracy corner. We need, we'll call it five minutes. We'll call it three minutes, whatever it is, of him just explaining it without us asking any questions to start. Okay. Maybe it's even a recording of him. And we listen to that and then we call him and then we ask questions. because I think he needs he needs uninterrupted time and I don't think
Starting point is 01:37:43 I think he would get flustered if we even made one joke he would just he couldn't he couldn't handle that oh yeah wow so this podcast I don't do well with three minutes uninterrupted
Starting point is 01:37:55 that you may need to be a recording or I'll leave the room that's what I'm saying dude it'll be so hard for us not to make a remark you know so I was raised to make remarks we were remarkable people
Starting point is 01:38:08 All right. Well, I think pretty good episode. Yeah. Save for a few comments time and made. But good stuff. Save for it. Start using it, guys. It's great.
Starting point is 01:38:22 Love you guys. Hey, I'm recording the very end of the episode. Do you want to say anything to the ghosties? A few times. All right. I did think this week's episodes were pretty funny. That's perfect. We love you guys.
Starting point is 01:38:41 Thanks for laughing out loud. Oh. I do need to talk to you soon now. Okay. I'll call you. back. Okay. Okay. I love you by. All right, gozies. I'll call you back on Monday. I love you by too.
