Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning. Good morning. Morning. Morning. How's everyone's week been? Mine's been as normal as ever. Yeah. Same.
Starting point is 00:00:13 Yeah, me too. So I guess I don't know who to start with. This podcast, this one is going to be called same old, same all. Same old, same. Nothing's different. Dude, it's insane. having a baby in your house. Okay, yes.
Starting point is 00:00:35 So you texted a picture of Teddy this morning. Yeah. So therefore I know that he's at least there right now. He's home. Or like, we just decorated the NICU to look exactly like our living room. I did.
Starting point is 00:00:45 I had to like zoom in on the background. I was like, nope, those are cabinets. Those are kitchen cabinets that's right there. Those are not soft closed cabinets because those are in his top four things he would want. That's a big Ted bear.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Yeah, that's right. Yeah. So win. When did old Ted come home? Monday. He's been home about 48 hours now. Okay. I think this is pretty common.
Starting point is 00:01:08 We went from circumcision to he's all yours now. Oh. Just gave us a bloody mess to take home. Whoa. I don't know about that as far as common. That's interesting. So he just got the circ and said, Yeah, they basically did that.
Starting point is 00:01:30 And they said, good luck with diapers for the next seven to ten days. Wow. Okay. How do you take it? Were you there for it? Yeah, I was trying to think of some like version of it. The Oppenheim version. That's what he went for him.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Donko. No, they whisked him away. And, you know, I think it's all all good. They numb him up. and he just feel, they said, he's just got to feel pressure, you know, and he'll be fine. But anyway, I would not have predicted that they wouldn't clean it up for you. Or, like, dress the wound somehow. Surely they did.
Starting point is 00:02:09 I mean, I'm sure they did what's normal. Everything is probably fine. Their mistake, they should not have shown us what it looked like 10 minutes afterwards. You know, and as you could see, we got it all done. Oh, my gosh, don't show me that. It's not St. Helens down there. What's going on? Jeez.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Something erupted. They, oh, look, we got in the background. Big doll coming in. I don't know if we're going to be able to see it in the shot or not. What's up, Big Boy?
Starting point is 00:02:40 Hi. You got a pumpkin? That's good. Okay. They weren't going to do it all day or even the night before. They're like, these things, they normally like to do him at this time,
Starting point is 00:02:49 and he's a little past it. You probably just do a pediatrician or whatever. And then last second, they're like, it was like they had like the closer. And they're like, hey, So-and-so's in the house today.
Starting point is 00:02:58 And she's good. She's good at circumcisions. Okay. All right. Which you want a good one. You don't want a botched surgery. She came in and had like an Indian accent. And I was like, this is great.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Yeah. I trust this. This feels good. Okay. So you can clearly see right here. It's a little bit of its incision. It's like, yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Absolutely. Thank you. Do whatever. Yeah. Take them off me if you need. Is this one of those graft situations where you need a donor? Because I will volunteer. I've done my duty with it.
Starting point is 00:03:34 I'm ready for it to go. No, it won't work that way. It's okay. Uh, uh, oh, ooh, I think this tight beat means that it's going down with some random thoughts and white meat too. Then West best friends eating fast food on repeat. So come along. Let's have some fun and go ahead.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Get on your feet because it's a ghost from this podcast. Dude, I was texting my sister because she's been just great checking in all the time. And I was telling her how proud I was of myself. I don't think I've told you guys this, but in Teddy's Niki room for the last, you know, 40 days, there's been a whiteboard. And a lot of it is like almost like the whiteboard I used last week where there was like, there's permanent things on it. It's not like they write everything.
Starting point is 00:04:25 It's like every baby has like a, you know, it's like nurse's name and mom and dad's name. You know, there's like things to fill in. Yep. And a whiteboard. At the bottom, there's. is a checklist of things to do. So it's like before, you know, he can leave the NICU, he needs to get, you know, this shot, he needs to be able to suck, swallow, breathe, whatever. The nurses had written in, take mom on a date. They had written that in there and things to do. And right underneath
Starting point is 00:04:53 that was circumcision. There was like also in things to do. And I was so proud of my, for 40 days, I did not make a single joke about circumcision or me. And oh, it was tempting. It was so tempting. There was one night we were leaving. And next thing you know, I'm like borderline performing for all the nurses. I mean, there's like eight nurses who like, I have all their attention for whatever reason. And I'm just joking.
Starting point is 00:05:20 And they're like, did you see what we put on there? And I'm like, don't make a circumcision joke. It's tempting. Did you cross off everything on the list? Yeah, I did. I took her on a date. Yeah. Yeah, I did. Yeah, I did everything. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:05:39 But anyway, Teddy's good. Good. Yeah. Yeah. So what time of day did you guys get home? Like, was it morning, afternoon? Just walk us through, like, the first couple hours. What did he think of the new place? Like, this is his new spot that he'd never been to. Was he like, it was a little bit smaller than I imagined?
Starting point is 00:05:58 Or, you know. So what they do, is before they think you're about to discharge, they will encourage you like, hey, we'll put you in your own little room of the NICU. You can spend the night here to kind of get just a quick sense of like what he's like, because you've never been with him
Starting point is 00:06:16 for like, you know, this long. You know, you've never been with them overnight before, so you can get a sense of what it's going to be like. Yeah, you can start your lack of sleep a little earlier. Yeah, one day earlier. And so that's kind of where it starts. It's like Sunday at 8 o'clock. we pack up pillows and blankets and just a ton of things we think we might need.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Go to the hospital. We move from room one to room nine. We go, Teddy. Yeah. All of you've ever known is Nick, you won. Your mind's about to be blown. Yeah. About to move to room nine.
Starting point is 00:06:47 There's, you know, it's like twice as big. And then, yeah, I'm trying to think. And then it's basically just like neither of us ever fall asleep because that's what you do with a newborn. You just, like, you just want to watch him constantly. And, you know, he just, uh, just like gurgles and squirms. It does like very healthy, very normal things. But it's also very normal to like register that as like a weird sound. Well, basically what I'm saying is it's impossible sleep for us right now.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Yeah. Basically what I'm trying to get out as I have, yeah, I've lacked sleep for the last, you know, 48 hours. Yeah, because it's like, it's like, it's like, you know, Yeah, just don't look at the thing that makes the noise that you love and you care about. Like, it's not that big of a deal. It's just a noise. But it's like, but don't wake up. Don't wake up. It's like if someone's taking a nap and you're like, you awake? It's like, yeah. I am now. You made me. Yeah. Because of the noise. I didn't try to be awake right now. And it's like, all right, just go back to sleep. You still sleeping? You back to sleep yet? I said go back to sleep.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Now, you're good. I'm fine. I just was curious if you were sleeping. I'm sleeping right now. I'm just making a couple of noises in the background. You're good. That's the adult equivalent. Uh-huh. Yeah, because like- You're good yet? You, you, did you find a comfortable spot? I'm pretty comfortable. I'm very comfortable. I've been sleeping for hours. Don't mind me. I am dead to the world right now. You could, you could drop your book on the ground along with your metal Yeti and I would never hurt. I would not wake up. I'm good. Because I'm asleep. What about you? I'm good. You sleeping, though? you are sleeping? Okay, well, then I'm going to scream and cry and just like absolutely wake you up. Right? Yeah. So it's just, you know, logically, one part of your brain says, hey, every nurse is a pediatrician, everyone's chaty-b-tie. Everyone says, these are very normal. Yeah, preemies are even noisier than regular newborns. He's just growing his digestive system. He's going to make noises. You go, okay, good. I'll just ignore them. And then like the human other side of you is like, you can't just fall asleep. Yeah. you know, just like, everything sounds painful. Even though it's not. Even though it's not. I, I do not envy that you have chat GPT at your disposal.
Starting point is 00:09:11 I think that would, that would, I would use it a lot. Versus just like, just, I guess we'll just figure out the next appointment if that was a big deal or not. You know? Because you can, you can, you can ask the most specific question on there. Yeah. Versus like Googling, you can just be like, baby makes funny noise while he's sleeping. And they're like, baby, make funny noises sometimes while they're sleep, you'll find an article or something, but
Starting point is 00:09:33 like you're getting right to the point of like, if you can give me an exact, like, recording of the audio, I would love to analyze that for you. Yeah. It, our entire NICU stay and everything you up to it. I did a good job. I didn't Google much at all just because, I mean, what more could I ask for it than all these nurses in my disposal? I asked them my questions. And I truly didn't Google much for, you know, a month. And now that he's fully our responsibility, there's a lot more of that going on. But, you know, you can kind of set up your own chat GPT person or whatever to like I've got my set up like always be honest with me don't just agree with me like you know and like trying to like hey is this normal and I'll like even like
Starting point is 00:10:12 mess with it and give it something that's completely abnormal like okay just making sure you're right that is abnormal all right you test it every once a while yeah just to see yeah if it's if it's strayed too far from yeah the middle but it's been good you know you just like you you send it a picture of the formula the doctors recommended you ask can I mix this with milk and temperature? You know, it seems pretty helpful. Yeah, yeah. Being at the NICU for as long as we were,
Starting point is 00:10:37 we feel way more knowledgeable than we would be if we were just like a normal birth and just like, take them home, figure it out. Right. That's good, man. Wow. Man. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:10:47 The circumcision. I need to talk to some other NICU parents who've maybe undergone. Because we were so excited. We're like, the last like week, you know, building up to like, all right, we can't wait to take him home. And man, I cannot wait to change a diaper.
Starting point is 00:11:00 without any more chords. That was like one of our like milestones. Like that's gonna feel so good. It's gonna be so much easier without cords everywhere. And now we've got a bigger cord to worry about. Right. You know, it's just like,
Starting point is 00:11:13 be gentle, pe chisel, don't touch that. And what you do is you are, we are encouraged. I mean, you douse him in Vaseline. Okay. So it's like, wipe, a little butt cream. And then, I mean, give him like a,
Starting point is 00:11:30 Just like, just unleash the, you know. You have like the daisy sour cream of Vaseline, like bottles, like, just like squeezing it out of that little like, like long slit a tab. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. One of the nurses was like, you want to use a lot of Vaseline. I'll show you. And then just keeps going and going.
Starting point is 00:11:48 You know, it's like, can I get whipped cream on that and like, tell me when? And there's like a six year old just never says when. That's what it would be like. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Because, yeah, obviously, yeah, just be the worst thing in the world if it gets infected or whatever. It's terrible for everybody.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Especially as a guy, you're just like, I'm very sensitive. I feel so bad that this happened to you, man. That's another thing. We go from circumcision to like your first car ride ever. And you know, you're just like sitting in that thing. Are you okay? Go slower on the potholes, Jake. Mad Max, not right now.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Yeah. Oh, I drove 20 miles an hour the whole way home. It was great. Well, we're here with the L.L. Cirque bros here, you know. It's a circus around here. Do you remember your circumcision, Bo? He was a late bloomer, so we didn't do it until he was five.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Yeah, he was actually done breastfeeding when he got it. I was hiding back there. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that was our milestone for it. Interesting. There is like a, I feel like it's coming back from what I understand, not circumcising. You heard this? Did you have any, like, discussions of that?
Starting point is 00:12:59 we didn't okay I don't know I don't know enough about it to be honest I just and this is also kind of a funny thing talked about I suppose but here we are um but I was just like Catherine I don't know why but I just my boys are gonna have to have it we go ahead yeah I remember the seventh grade locker room ask question yeah yeah just just be cool yeah I don't I don't I don't want our kid to be one of those guys I want to go into this more but we shouldn't I know I know But like, honestly, Catherine was just like, that was one of those times, and I'm not trying to act like this never happens, but she's just a strong woman. And so most of the time she'll like at least have a conversation about it. That was one of those times I just said, we should not do this. And she said, okay, got it. You know, I don't know. Anyway. That was one of the few things I thought this is what you're going to say where I think Rachel was like, I don't even fully think I know what that is. Correct. Oh, oh. Not even understand what the, yeah. Yeah. Like, I don't even know what the reverse of it would be. So go ahead.
Starting point is 00:14:01 So you know how we had to get rid of all our turtlenecks when we moved to Arizona? It's time for tell you to take off the turtle himself. Yeah. Have you ever worked on a car and had to go under the hood? Mm-hmm. Yeah. And that's kind of uncomfortable, right? You know those football players that wear those, like, they take off their helmet,
Starting point is 00:14:19 but they still have that, like, you know, masked thing on. And it's like, wow, they're wearing that even in the summertime. They should, they're probably not comfortable in that. You ever see like actors and actresses like before they put a wig on they will put like a bald cap on underneath you take the wig off you go oh it's still there's still some right it's like that it's kind of like one of those you know like when you buy it never mind um oh you you un you unplug my is brad hey brad you're muted hey chat So we have to look forward to Jake.
Starting point is 00:15:03 My headphones on that. Anyway. Anyway, all that to say. You guys had any major operations? Have I had any major operations? No, Bo stop. Bo has learned funny years. I guess so.
Starting point is 00:15:19 Hey, I'll tell you one thing that Bo, Mr. Gunter taught Bo recently that Bo is really into. You'll go up to you and go, hey, what's under there? Because Mr. Gunner got him good with that. What's under there? Right, Bo? Yeah, pretty good. Bow's still the Brown's lucky charm. Brown's won a second game.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Oh, yeah, I forgot the estate sale tournament to a Browns fan. Uh-huh, that's right. So he thinks he's lucky charm for that. That's great. No other operations, though, that we've had. Okay, hey, if you're going to get down, you need to stay down. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Hey, Henry, does it smell like updog in here? Yeah, I got her tried that one too. Didn't work as much. Yeah, next year. Next year. Okay, here's a question I had. Okay, hey, Bo. Be cool, man.
Starting point is 00:16:13 All right. Here's a question I had for you. I went to a family birthday party the other day. And I was like, there's no way this is true. But at least I was like, this is good podcast content. I should have asked more questions. My cousin, Corey, they're pregnant with their first. due in November.
Starting point is 00:16:31 And so they went to a birthing class. Did you guys go to any birthing classes? No. Okay. You would hear about that in like, I feel like, like more like 90s movies or whatever, which I don't know if it's actually moral fashion, but like Lamaz or whatever.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Yes, exactly. Lamaz is like the classic like Hollywood thing that be like you hear about. Nope, you stay down. Okay. Because I told you to. Be cool, man. And anyway, they went to this class that was like taught by this girl from their church, I believe.
Starting point is 00:17:06 I think she's a birthing coach or something like that, you know, one of those professions that you hadn't heard about in the 90s probably. But like, from what I understand, it was like, she's pretty crunchy. They're not super crunchy, but they like went to this class to support her. I don't know. But one of the things, I can't remember all the things they did. one of the things they did was they like simulated contractions by having like everyone blew up a balloon and put a ping pong ball in it
Starting point is 00:17:32 or something like that and you squeeze the balloon until the ping pong ball like pops out of it or something I still don't quite understand that one it sounds like a magic act I'm going to search for this I'm going to see if this anything pulls up
Starting point is 00:17:52 early class yeah it was something like that and then the one that was like more wild, I think, multiple things. I know for a fact that they watched a video of a birth, which I don't ever want to do that for anybody but my wife. I think for centuries people have been able to give birth without seeing a video of it beforehand. But hey, by all means.
Starting point is 00:18:18 For so many reasons. And I think she's like breaking down. It's like watching film. I don't know if she has like a laser pointer or whatever, you know, but like The A gap. We got to hit the A gap. The A gap. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:35 There's a. Yeah, there's. Try to not pay attention to the B gap. Yeah, there's a hole. There's a hole right there you go through. Anyway. But the funniest thing, I was like, oh my gosh. You know, just because my, my cousin's like, for years, I'm trying to, like, not watch stuff like this on my, on my screens.
Starting point is 00:18:54 and you know, like, but then they said that at one point this woman was like, okay, here's some different positions that you can be in that will help you, like when you're, when you're, you know, in labor. And jokingly, I was like, yeah, did she also tell you like things you should like, like different noises you're going to make and stuff? She's like, yes, she went through different noises. Can you imagine? Or should make, might make. Yes. It was like, it was like, okay, so this is probably what's going to sound like when you're, in the transition. Our fantasy commission says for him it's all about the friendships.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Cute, Kevin. But I disagree. Like with Bet365. I get paid the second my team goes up big with early payout and can cash out at any time before the game ends. No hard feelings, Kevin. Just faster payouts from Bet365. The home of winning early.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Must be 19 and older. Ontario only. Please play responsibly. If you were someone you know is concerns about gambling, visit connectsontario.ca. Or call 1866 531. 2600. Terms and conditions apply. No way.
Starting point is 00:20:01 No way. That's what he said, dude. And I don't think he would make this up. Like, that's not my cousin's humor is not one. Someone that for their job, like, part of their job is imitating birthing noises. Have you seen that, like, kid online that's like amazing at making the bird sound?
Starting point is 00:20:17 I think this woman, that's her bird sound. She's like, um, mom of one middle aged Pennsylvania. It just doesn't. Bo love that You like that one, Bo? Give us one, Bo. He's so embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:20:40 I need to text Catherine to say, get your boys. But can you believe that? Like, it's like in her house. She's like hosting this thing. Like, yeah, we went down to her basement and she like, you know, crouched down and made these noises.
Starting point is 00:20:54 I was like, what, dude? I was like, that would terrify me way more for birth than I already, Like, I don't want to know those things. I want to be ignorant to certain things. I think you take a class like that for the sole purpose of type two fun. You leave, you drive home and you go, that was unbelievable. And then when you are giving birth, you're able to like make jokes about what that night was.
Starting point is 00:21:15 All right, make the noise she made, you know, like it gives you material to work with. Do you want to get in position three? I know you can like that one. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, talk about a debrief episode like, I mean, or just that time after you're done. Yeah, it's just wild, man. So I don't, I don't know all the stories. I should have asked more questions,
Starting point is 00:21:30 but I didn't want to, like, ask them too much because they haven't had their baby yet, so I don't want to, like, freak them out more, like, whatever, you know? Yeah. I'm like, oh, man. I mean, there's probably some value in it because I know whenever it's time for Rachel to push, like, it's like, oh, my gosh, it's happening.
Starting point is 00:21:43 It's all having so fast. And very quickly, it's like, all right, here's what you're going to do. Put your arms here, put your legs here, you know, and it's like a lot of, like, elbows on the table. You know, it's a lot to remember. So, you know, sure.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Sure. It's beneficial have some reps. Yeah, but she also learned that pretty quick, it sounds like. I think you can learn about 10 seconds in the moment. Yeah, I don't know. We did take a class, and I don't know. I don't remember much about it except for I remember we changed a diaper on like a baby doll. And I remember thinking like, I didn't know how to do that.
Starting point is 00:22:12 I had not grown up changing diapers in my life. Yeah. Did they simulate it by having the baby doll's legs just like bicycling in motion while you're trying to change it? Yeah, exactly. Yeah, they need to like have like actual like, yeah, moving. like real life baby doll kind of things. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Okay, all right. Change it on me. Change it on me. Yeah, just do it on a... It's easier to do on a larger person, probably, you know? All right. I found the balloon ping pong thing. Feel free to fill in the blank here.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Either one of you. Sure. Sure. The balloon and ping pong ball are used in birthing classes as a hands-on visual. The balloon represents the... The boom. That is correct. But womb, there it is.
Starting point is 00:23:00 It's a pneumonic device to remember it. The balloon represents the uterus. Prudence of his womb. Whom. The balloon's neck represents the... A lot of extra credit if you get this one, timing. I'm too afraid. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Yeah, me too, buddy. We all are. The balloon's neck represents the... I don't even know. I don't even know. cervix. Yeah. I wouldn't make you say a
Starting point is 00:23:29 too crazy word. And then the ping pong ball represents the baby's head. Okay. So I guess you just like push it through? Mm-hmm. Just that's basically what birth is.
Starting point is 00:23:43 The dad is there. And pop goes the weasel. That's it pretty much. So, all right. P. I. N.
Starting point is 00:23:53 G. All right. You want to ping it for boys? Dude, I saw some funny reels. The algorithm's so good. It's like the minute, you know, this is a month ago. But as soon as we had a kid, Instagram knew, I guess,
Starting point is 00:24:06 and got some rules sent to me that are so specific. And it was like the nurse 30 seconds after my wife gives birth. And it's this guy coming in. It's just like kind of doing how Lloyd and Dumb and Dumber does CPR. Just like pounding on like the mom's stomach. Just beating the daylights. out of it. I was like, that's actually pretty funny. It's not that bad, but it is like, it's like pretty serious. Like, all right, no blood clots. No blood clots. Just all the pressure on
Starting point is 00:24:34 their stomach. So hard. And that's one of those things that. Yeah, like, if Tyman saw that, time's like, I don't understand that at all. Yeah. You know, like, that was a very specific, like, you had to have one experience before you understood that video. Yeah. And they knew. It was the, it was, you hit the balloon. Yeah. So wild, man. Anyway. So, yeah, so you haven't been sleeping much. Because I'm sure, like, since he's small. he has to eat a lot. Like every couple hours, three hours, two hours? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Which is so hard. So we're kind of just taking shifts right now. One of us is just always awake. And it's fine. We're loving life. He's great. He's healthy. Choose one of these people to tell me how much they weigh.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Rachel or Teddy? You know, our scale actually broke in our bathroom? Probably a good thing for all of us. Yeah, there you go. Yeah. How much did he have to weigh to? get out, you know? Or was it like, it's more of like a,
Starting point is 00:25:31 it's more of a life stage thing. Uh-huh. But he was almost seven pounds when he got out. Oh, wow. Big boy. Yeah. Haddy was only like five pounds when she was out. Yeah. Yeah, he put on weight good. He's in the 90th percentile of like premature babies born at his.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Oh, yeah. He's a triplet. Yeah. Oh, those boys like me. He's got a big second toe. Yeah. Huge head. He's all right. He's ours. Let's go, dude. That's great. Brad, I got a question for you. You got Henry in your arms here.
Starting point is 00:26:02 How does Henry look so alert all the time? How do you, what do you do for his diet? Like, what's the last thing he drinks before bed? What's the first thing he drinks when he wakes up? Yeah, so he always is like, milk, milk, milk. And we're like, yeah, absolutely, we'll get you some milk with your coffee. And so, yeah, he doesn't drink it straight black yet. But he...
Starting point is 00:26:22 Cabuccino, latte, what are we talking? Latte for the most part. Yeah. Yeah, latte. We put a little bit of syrup in there for him. What was that noise? Did you hear that? Yeah, I think that's the syrup backing up.
Starting point is 00:26:37 What the heck was that? That's syrup and the milk. The milk? No. No? Okay. Do you like coffee? Do you make coffee with me for Mom?
Starting point is 00:26:51 Yeah, and so are you. And for me too. He does. He helps you make coffee every morning. We make it for Mom. and we have a great time doing it in Main Street Roasters is the best coffee around, right?
Starting point is 00:27:02 Yeah. You mean, let me tell him I can't check. I don't know. At the end, I felt like I heard of absent. I think that's what he puts in it. He puts absent in it. You put in the what cup?
Starting point is 00:27:18 My ice cream truck. The ice cream truck. Oh, he plays with his ice cream truck sometimes. Oh. Yes. And you know what goes great with ice cream? Main Street Roasters coffee. Main Street Roasters.
Starting point is 00:27:29 trucks. Yeah. If you want to buy your own truck, go to majoroasters.com and they don't sell a truck, but they sell you everything you could need to make a truck. So you're going to want to buy mainly
Starting point is 00:27:43 mugs, I guess, and you're going to want to melt those down and then reform them into like different structures to give you kind of your chassis. And then I would buy the t-shirts and eventually kind of like add some resin and rubber to that
Starting point is 00:27:59 that's going to be your wheels. Okay. And then it'll just, the coffee will be the fuel. So everything you need to have your own truck right there on the site and take 10% off that truck, 10% off MSRP with promo code GRKC. Good rancher. That's it. What was that? It's the next ad.
Starting point is 00:28:18 We're going to the next ad. Maitreosa.com. And just real quick, can I say good ranchers? And by the way, you know what goes great with Mastorosa.com, GRCCCCC, 10% off? Good ranchers.com. What an idiot. Timer, what's new with you? I've had a pretty rough week, and I'll tell you why.
Starting point is 00:28:44 I have decided, based on the convincing of my sister Alice, because I guess she cares about both, it's both probably financial health and it's physical health. I'm not allowed to get any snacks or drinks from inside of gas stations for a month. Oh, really? and I like eating you up. It just, it's the type of thing that it takes, it takes not doing it for me to realize how often I
Starting point is 00:29:07 am getting a monster or like a slice of pizza. Okay. Stuff like that. So I've been struggling with that. That sounds good. Tees and peas, bro. That's tough. Let's go ahead and do a quick schmores of things to buy inside a gas station.
Starting point is 00:29:25 I love it. Go ahead and start us off. It sounds like your, Sounds like you're lamenting quite a bit. Yeah, I'm going to say just very specific to me, a peachy keen monster. Peachy keen, okay. Zero sugar. Don't worry.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Oh, I was so worried. Yeah. That's the thing you worry about in monster is the sugar. It's the main thing that you can affect you. 400 milligrams of sucralose. That's it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And just a bunch of other things you can't pronounce in there.
Starting point is 00:29:50 Dementia within 20 years. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can't remember what's in the rest of it. All right. I'll go to Kitos. Love a good tequito from QuickTrip. That's good. I'll go like pizza by the slice,
Starting point is 00:30:06 just like a decently warm slice of pizza. So good. That's pretty good at multiple different spots. QT, Casey's. And then steak draft, hit me with some chocolate-covered pretzels. I will. I will hit you with those. Those are good.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Absolutely, I will. Yeah. Good answer. Winter time, too, more for some reason. Oh, yeah. I can see it. You kind of conditioned that way, huh? Yeah. I'm a chocolate cover in the winter. It's coming up.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Well, do you think you'll crave them as much in the Arizona, Arizona winter? It's a dental winter? Mm-hmm. Probably not. I mean, I can't have anything like that until January 1st anyway. So we're just, you know, just push it on. But yeah, I don't know. Peanut Butter Eminem's for me. He's my next pick. I love, love them. And I don't think I ever buy them really unless...
Starting point is 00:30:58 they're there at the gas station. Just a, have we just done like a basic fountain drink? Great. Yeah, that's great. I mean, I think that's all time.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Yeah. Yeah. Especially after like pickleball or something. Yeah, steal a few sips as you're filling up. Oh, yeah. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:31:19 I'm as apologize if I've talked on this podcast about this already. I've definitely talked to somebody. But what's going on with everyone, so I went it just absolutely freaks out with the fit. Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? It's like we're doing, we're having a good time.
Starting point is 00:31:33 And then all of a sudden, it just explodes on you. And it's nothing but fizz. Yeah, and it goes fast too. It's like, it looks like what I thought was soft water. But then we found out that I don't know what that is. But yeah, just like, is there going to be any flavor in this? Yeah. And then jalapeno kettle chips.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Oh, my. I, Quick Trip always has the Cape Cod versions, which I've grown to love. I think I still am like a Miss Vicki's. Like, that's my, that's my ideal, but yeah. Yeah. So good. Good. I'll go peach rings.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Peach rings. Oh, that's nice. Peachos. Yeah. Those things are just not to be missed. Love them. Yeah. I feel like back in this is, you know, diet, health conscious aside,
Starting point is 00:32:24 I would always be a sucker. Like, I'm going in there for like a fountain drink. Just give me a 44 ounce Dr. Pepper. And then I would find myself a little distracted by some like weird combination of soda that I've never seen before. That is my third pick. Just like a wild cherry Dr. Pepper cream soda. Yeah, because you can take a flyer on one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:48 It's like I don't need it. I would never buy a 12 pack of this. No. No. But I'll go for the. Like just to get me from here to Ankeny, Iowa. Yeah, let's see. See what it tastes like.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Oh, they got blackberry in their Dr. Pepper now. Might as well. Try it out. That's a good answer. Just the vague, like, yeah, flavor of the month. Like, let's see if this sticks Coca-Cola, you know, kind of thing. Yeah. Cherry, vanilla, blackberry tea, Pepsi.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Yeah. Every once in a while they stick around. Yeah. And then final pick. I know you already took one version of Eminem's. I was always a sucker for the, um, I think they're called either crispy M&Ms or maybe crunchy imambs. I think they had changed it.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Yeah, I think they used to be called crispy. And now they maybe are called cookie or something like that. Yeah, that sounds right. They're like a wafery on the inside. I love those. Not to be missed. Not to be missed. I'll give me trying.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Once again, a great example. I'll get me trying. A great example of like, I don't want the big old like shareable one from the grocery store of that, if they make them even. But I'll take a small, my own,
Starting point is 00:33:51 you know, personal pack. Yeah. Okay, a good answer. I'll say with my last pick, I'm just kind of looking around in my head about like where, what am I getting at? Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:34:03 And also let me clarify, I am only in my head, I've only been in Quick Trips. So I don't know what that says. Like I... Yeah. I don't know. I just, I think that's just, that's how good they are. They're so good. That kind of motivated me to get outside a Quick Trip and go for the generic but specific slurpee of 7-Eleven. 7-Eleven's the best
Starting point is 00:34:21 version of this. Yeah. QuickTrip's Freezoni's kind of garbage, to be honest. They're good until like the last quarter of them and then it's just nothing but the, you suck all the syrup out. But yeah, those things are awesome. Just the, the good old icy, you know, kind of thing from those spots. Yeah. Assuming they're working, the machine operable. I'm going to say, just a good classic donut. Oh, great pick. Didn't turn that way in my head. Great answer, dude. Thank you. those things are nice.
Starting point is 00:34:56 If you go at the right time, a quick trip, they're like half off. Yeah. Like the value, value time. Yeah. Time and you,
Starting point is 00:35:02 it sounds like you were eating exactly how I ate when I was in college. Live it up. Yeah, exactly. Live it up. I should have savored it more back before I.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Dude, November 1st. November first thing in the morning. Go get a chocolate frosted donut and a doctor pepper. I will. So is this, is this something that Alice is like,
Starting point is 00:35:22 you have to do this or is it like, we're doing this as a family or is it like I was I told some other friend about this and like that's what they asked me too and I think I was just like no I think she's just convinced me to do it okay yeah because I think she's just a more smart and responsible person and so she wouldn't be spending her money flippantly on stuff like this so she's just like helping me I guess yeah and we should have some kind of bet going on I guess oh one part of it is that every time I would have gone to a gas station I write down on my phone how much I like probably would have spent.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Okay. At the end of the month I like see if it's worth it. That's good. So is that, do you go to the gas station often even if you're not getting gas? Yes. Just to grab. Yeah, because there's, I've mentioned it before, Stillwell Station. It's right on the way to 69 Highway, which is where I get anywhere.
Starting point is 00:36:12 That's where you like to sleep. Yeah. You can nap there. I've done anything there. I've put a ping pong ball and a balloon there. but they have they have hunt brothers pizza which has like a hunk of pizza is like their branded thing it's really good yeah yeah that's like a small that's like the small town pizza like yeah like every once in a while we'll be driving to texas and i'm like is there any good spots for food
Starting point is 00:36:36 around here and it's always hunt brothers pizza is always an option on google maths like it's good i don't know if i've just been like conditioned to it from it being my main option but it's good I think pizza's pizza, man. Pizza's good. Pizza's good. My last day in the hospital, I had one last slice of that hospital pizza. It was unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:36:56 Really? I might go back. It's so good. Oh, I don't know if we've heard about the hospital pizza. I remember you talking about hospital cafeteria being good, but I don't remember the pizza specifically. It was all good. I mean, we were throwing down on chicken stew a week ago from the hospital and liking it.
Starting point is 00:37:10 That's awesome. That's when you know you're in your bag is when you're like, I'm going to bring out the chicken stew and they're going to they're going to like it. I got to be out of the palm of my hand. Right. They'll eat anything. They're throwing behind the back passes at that point.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Like, no problem. Like, we got this. Oh, chicken stew. Really? Okay. Tywin, when you first started mentioning this, this reminded me of when I, my first diet ever,
Starting point is 00:37:34 it was probably like three or four years ago, when I was like, you know what? I'm going to try to give up added sugar. And I still remember that first drive home from Trey's content house and Gladstone. And that first time when you realize, I would have pulled over and gotten a little snack, a little pick me up, and I didn't.
Starting point is 00:37:49 And I was like, I have a problem. Like, I am addicted to sugar. I can't believe what I'm, like, feeling all over my body of, like, I have to have this. I was like, oh, my gosh. You're like a physical response. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:04 I struggle with, I just love a drink for the road. You know, I love having something to drink while I'm driving. You know, I used to just zip through the. McDonald's drive through all the time and just get a large sweet tea. Oh yeah. They're doing great still. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:21 They're just, they're killing it. Yeah. Yeah. Just just have something, you know? I can't go, I can't drive home without 50 grams of sugar.
Starting point is 00:38:30 I need it. Why would you? Yeah. It's so right. It's so true. It's awesome. Let's see. What else have I?
Starting point is 00:38:41 I mean, the birthing thing was like, I got to talk Jake about that. I need to see if you. had any experiences similar with that. Yeah, no. I nearly fell over in the hot tub the other day, that lifetime. Oh, not the Airbnb hot tub.
Starting point is 00:38:56 No, I stood up and was just kind of like mozian, mozian, you know, I don't want to like just splash everybody. And the jet just kind of overtook me. And I had to like kind of catch myself on the side. I don't know what happened. I don't know how it, yeah, but I was like, can you imagine if like how ridiculously dumb I would look if I just, going down.
Starting point is 00:39:16 Just like leading tower of pizza or something like just fell over in the hot tub as I'm like just very slowly walking out. Do you, were you standing on like one of the ledges or like in the center? I was in the center. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like and I think the center has some kind of like a little hill to it.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Like there's some kind of filter or something there. Some undulation. I guess I just have that bad of balance to where a little like a hard jet in there was just like tipping me over. But, yeah, I wrote that down in my notes of like, well, there's a visual for everybody. Just imagine Big Daddy just toppling over. Man, I miss those lifetime hot tubs and cold plunges. I know.
Starting point is 00:39:57 They're great. I, yeah, I've been trying to get in the cold plunge. It's one of those easy, easy wins. It's like, hey, all you got to do is not move for three minutes. Just get in there and it stinks, but like just do it for a little bit and just suck it up. You know? when I was cold plunging a lot, that also coincided with my, um, kind of like love and a habit of the New York Times games.
Starting point is 00:40:21 So that was like my way of getting my mind off of it. I would like go into the cold plunge and play like a game of like Pips. I would try to win on easy, medium and hard before I was done cold plunging. Like you just need something to not think about how cold you are. It takes it. Yeah, takes your mind off of it. Every once while I have like a voice message from somebody. I'm like, I'm not listening to that until I get in the cold punch, you know. It's good.
Starting point is 00:40:42 but yeah what was I going to say about that oh yeah I've been I've been doing like this if you're a 12 3 30 I told you about that treadmill thing oh the incline walking yeah yeah yeah like it's been raining a few times here and so to get my walk in I'm like yeah doing it there and like the New York times yeah I'm like I'm not going to cheat and ask for any hints on any of these things and I just do all of them and by the time I'm done it's like 23 minutes of my 30 right there so it is a like little like mind mind games is right, I don't know, whatever those are. Yeah. Such a great way to pass the time.
Starting point is 00:41:15 Yeah. Especially it's a little more fulfilling. Yeah. Then scrolling. You know, it's like they could part both pass the time the same way, but like, hey, I got Pips on hard and only two minutes, 12 seconds. Dude, you want to know how much smarter you are than me is I don't even want, or maybe even just like harder worker than me. I don't even want to figure out how Pips works. Pips is kind of bothering me.
Starting point is 00:41:39 I've like looked at a few times. I'm like, ah, I don't want to, I don't want to mess with that. Dude, you're like, I'm doing on easy, medium and hard in one cold punch. Dude, things are like that, though. It's like you have your area of the mobile app that you're used to. I don't care what it is. You know, like Instagram is always pushing their, like, in-app editing software. It's like, you know, create your own video with edits.
Starting point is 00:42:02 And I go, I don't want to. I'm not going to learn edits. I'm sure it's very user-friendly. They make it so anyone could do it. And I go, I... I'll get on my computer. I'll plug my hard drive in. I'll boot up Adobe Premiere.
Starting point is 00:42:13 I'll do it myself. I'm not going to click a couple buttons with my thumb. Trust me. Yeah. It'd be too much to learn. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:24 I don't know. Pips is not my thing. I don't even have the app for the New York Times thing. I just go to, I'm a web browser guy. You chrome it. Yeah. So what games are you playing?
Starting point is 00:42:33 Wordle, which I struggled with the other day. Do you play every day? No, not for years. Okay. not for years. I don't either. But one day when I was on the treadmill,
Starting point is 00:42:45 I played, and I was like, I'm not giving up. I'm not giving up. And the word was some word that I'd never heard of. Like, I knew,
Starting point is 00:42:51 that's frustrating. I knew the right, like, I knew four out of the five letters. I was like, I tried like, I thought every single combination of this thing.
Starting point is 00:42:59 And anyway, I was like trying words. I was like, this isn't a word, but I'll try it anyway. Yeah. I do wordle. I do the connections.
Starting point is 00:43:06 I like connections. And I like, um, strands. I think those are the main three. I was always so bad at connections. That game's not for me. Dude, it's amazing.
Starting point is 00:43:16 That one is, so that's the one, you know, timing that. Yeah, I remember how it works. Yeah, you have like 16 and then you,
Starting point is 00:43:23 was it 16? Yeah, four categories. Yeah. That's one of those ones that's like, man, for you could stare at it for 10 minutes and it doesn't make sense.
Starting point is 00:43:31 And all of a sudden, like, for me, at least, it just snaps and it's like, got it. Like, once you get four right, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Like once you get your first category and you, you know, move some around. It's like, it's crazy how it can change for me like that. Like a lot of them is like, I can't, I don't know. And then all of a sudden it's like, oh, snap, I get it. I get what that's there for. For me, I would stare at it for 10 minutes and have no idea what any of them are.
Starting point is 00:43:55 Rachel walks up behind my shoulder and in three seconds goes, oh, those are all the appliances. They go, oh, yeah, you're right. She gets it in five seconds. She's really good at it. Yeah. She's good at connections, yeah. Yeah. It's just one of those things.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Yeah, you're either good at it or. Some things. Some things you just know or you don't. I actually had an idea, and I haven't fleshed this out yet. So maybe on Wednesday's episode, I was going to play a game with you guys called Super easy, super easy, fast trivia. So the answers are easy, but you have to be the faster one to answer it. Great.
Starting point is 00:44:27 So, like, for example, then you have to answer it first. No buzzer, just answer. All right? Ready? And Timon's got the advantage because he's, you know. Yeah, he's got a half-second. Yeah, no latency. Two times three?
Starting point is 00:44:38 Five. Six. Six. Jake wins. All right. Red and yellow make. Orange. Time got it.
Starting point is 00:44:49 Time got it on my screen. So, okay, one to one. And then last one, last but not least, um, hamburgers come from what animal?
Starting point is 00:45:01 Cow. Sorry, Jake. Dang. Did it sound like they were to say? Really? I mean, can we really know?
Starting point is 00:45:12 How to know? how to know. Okay, okay, okay, okay. We'll ask a little bit more Jake-centered questions. Okay. Even at out, sure. Three times eight. The balloon's neck represents the...
Starting point is 00:45:24 Sorry. How many baseball players on the field at once? Nine. Eight. Nine. Ah. Nah. Wrong twice time.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Anyway, we'll flesh it out. We'll flesh it out. That's fun. We'll figure out. Yeah. That's fun. I had written down. I don't want to forget. Shout out to the ghosties. I love you all. Guys are just so great. The amount of people praying for us, checking in on us, getting us gifts,
Starting point is 00:45:52 Doordash gift cards, session three, people who brought us gifts to the house, people in Arizona, people who found the Friday podcast before it came out and it already had all these amazing five-star reviews. Ghosties are just everywhere making my life better. I just want to say thank you. Yeah. I listened to it. It was good. You did already? Yeah. Oh, wow. Thank you. I looked at, I was similar to all those other I was like, I wonder if they have like a little preview trailer or something up. So I searched it and I was like, oh, the episode's right here. So this is on Monday, I think. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:20 Yeah. Your first episode on a lot of these platforms can take a while to like process. So I was like, I don't want to put all this momentum and say it's live Wednesday when it's not yet. So I'm just going to go ahead and make sure it's up. And if they find it, they find it. Yeah. It was good. A lot of goes who's found it.
Starting point is 00:46:34 So. Yeah. Thank you. I always just like, let's talk about good ranchers real quick. I always just like thinking about things like literally things we've eaten that are good ranchers recently. And I'm trying to think of what we had for dinner. I'm going to see if our shipments coming soon.
Starting point is 00:46:48 Oh, we did a little crock pot meal, a little, uh. Oh, yeah, we did that. Chicken and dumplings is what we did. We did chicken tacos, which was nice, fun times. Well, that's different. Well, that's the fun thing about, is, uh, good ranchers meat is that you can make all sorts of different things with it. It doesn't have to be dumpling.
Starting point is 00:47:07 It's not, it's not like you order chicken and dumplings and only those kind of chickens come. You're right. I just saw, as of yesterday, a shipment from your order is on the way. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Come on. Let's go. In transit. Oh, I can't wait. You know where it's coming from? Where? Shins in China. No. California. Never mind. It says Cincinnati, dude.
Starting point is 00:47:43 Not Shinsen. Read that wrong. Yeah. American Farms only. Yeah, right here in the United States, that's their thing. U.S. farmers, U.S. shippers, U.S. consumers. We're doing it all ourselves.
Starting point is 00:47:58 So support them, support the local farmers, and take a little discount off. Your order. Use the promo code GRKC. Go to Good Ranchers.com. Today, American Meat delivered. I have a couple things from Ghosties. One, shout out to the
Starting point is 00:48:16 lot of the Arizona ones. Elise, Amber, Danny, Darcy, Drew, Nathan, Phoebe, Shannon, Talissa. Other Ghosties, I think someone named Melody got us stuff. So great. So I want to say thank you. And I want to play a fun little game.
Starting point is 00:48:31 So the Arizona Ghosties got us this. The ABCs of Arizona. I've actually not really prepared for this game at all very well. But when we're going through like the gift basket, they got us. I think Rachel's quickly looking through it. And she goes, all right, I'm looking at those ABCs of Arizona.
Starting point is 00:48:46 What do you think the D of Arizona stands for? I'll ask you guys. D. Desert. Oh, desert. I said desert as well. I was like, got to be desert. And it was D is for delicious chimichongas. No.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Oh, come on. Nope. No. No. Exactly. Not allowed. Instantly, I go, podcast game. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:49:08 It's the first thing I thought of. I was like, if D is for delicious chimichangas, then this is hilarious. And funny enough, Arizona's the only state with delicious stuff for the gift
Starting point is 00:49:19 that keeps on giving. I think you've got this for Teddy but this is now for the podcast. So that's what I say I haven't prepared. I haven't looked at any of the other ones. I was truly just like, I'm sure they're all going to be
Starting point is 00:49:33 hard to guess like this so let's see if we can get them. So I'm looking at them now. I mean, I just opened to S&T. These are great. All right. S is for the ABCs Arizona, by the way.
Starting point is 00:49:43 Sun. Suns. Suns. Suns. Suns. Phoenix Suns. Or... This would be sunsets that are so even more beautiful in Arizona.
Starting point is 00:49:56 Sunsets. S is for the two-tailed swallow tail. Oh, gosh. That one was kind of an easy one. If you didn't get that one, you're probably, I can get the other one. Two-tailed swallow tail. Okay. All right, this one might be guessable.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Okay. Cozdez, pay attention. R is for... I got a guess. Oh, I have no idea. The... But they put this in a book, though. It's not racism.
Starting point is 00:50:28 No. The razorback snake. I was saying the rattlesnake. Rattlesnake. Okay. A little momentum. But is that like... Is that something that Arizonans are like...
Starting point is 00:50:39 Yeah, rattlesnakes in our state. I don't know if I would put that in a book of like... Are they always saying that? You know what's great about Arizona? Rattlesnakes. Like, I don't think there's any positives to rattlesnakes, are there? Our fantasy commission says for him it's all about the friendships. Cute, Kevin.
Starting point is 00:50:58 But I disagree. Like with Bet365. I get paid the second my team goes up big with early payout and can cash out at any time before the game ends. No hard feelings, Kevin. Just faster payouts from Bet365. The home of winning early. Must be 19 and older.
Starting point is 00:51:14 Ontario only. Please play responsibly. If you were someone you know is concerns about gambling, visit connects ontario.ca or call 1-866-5-3-1-2,600. Terms and conditions apply. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:51:25 It's just one of those things you tell yourself, you, oh, well, they eat the bugs. Yeah, maybe. I bet there's a lot of things that eat bugs. Get something else that eats bugs. Get a lizard. All right.
Starting point is 00:51:40 this is a good one. In, as a neighbor, in. In is for nice people. Nice neighbor. Nice. Really? It's for nice.
Starting point is 00:51:53 It is for nice. For nice warm days. Oh. You nailed it. It is for nice warm days. It is for nice. Okay. We got to write children's books.
Starting point is 00:52:08 Yeah, life hack All right This is the last one We don't need to go through all these But I mean, pretty much every one of them It's just pretty hilarious X is for XOXO because Arizona Spread Love here
Starting point is 00:52:23 All right, last one V is for V is four Very hot It is Arizona V is for vast landscapes. Vast Grand Canyon.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Yeah. V is for violence played at symphonies. Sure. Right. Okay. Now, at least V is a little bit more of a tough. Yeah, you have limited options.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Yeah, like V and X, I can be more forgiving. So let's go back and let's make sure, like, there's certain staples within Arizona. Like, G is for Grand Canyon? Is that fair? Yeah, what do you guys want to see? What are your non-negotiables? Yeah, there needs to be G is for Grand Canyon. Okay, you get three.
Starting point is 00:53:12 All right. Is that fair? Is that fair? Yeah, yeah. Oh, fully fair. Like if we were like, hey, let's put $10 on like, these are things that are in there. G is for Grand Canyon. Yeah, you have to get three of like these have to be in here.
Starting point is 00:53:27 Maybe P is for Phoenix. But then again, these things are crazy, dude. Phoenix is the capital, yeah? For Grand Canyon. Good job. Okay. Phoenix is the capital. Pretty positive.
Starting point is 00:53:37 It sounds right. So therefore that should be the P, maybe, but then it sounds like maybe these things are more like generic. It was like people that live here. Honestly, why don't I try to coyotes? Phoenix is the capital. Specific to Arizona. Well, I mean, like, I know that they're not fully, but like,
Starting point is 00:53:54 I don't know, but the hockey team is the coyotes, I think. Okay. So let's try to find even some that. Arizona Cardinals. Oh, would be guessing. I don't know Arizona as well as I would like to. Well, that's Arizona. ball team is Cardinals.
Starting point is 00:54:09 Yeah. I think H might be getable. I'm not seeing a lot of easy ones, though. Okay. H is getable. Heat. Yeah. I mean.
Starting point is 00:54:21 I don't know if that's like a sure thing, but like, it's got to be somewhere in there. Because that's pretty big in Arizona. But then again, they're really emphasizing like nice days. So maybe they wouldn't, they just skirt away from that. H could also be honor. honorary discharge. H is for homes, like second homes for old people.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Heavenly. Just a heaven. Yeah, H is for heaven. Sedona could be S. It doesn't seem like they're doing that, though. It doesn't seem like they're going for like locations like that, except for Grand Canyon. S is for the two-tailed swallow tail.
Starting point is 00:55:01 You know this. Oh my gosh, that's right. You were pretty much right with H. H is for a hot, dry desert climate. Okay. Okay. So you have to get one more. Descriptive.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Grand Canyon and Hot. What else do you know about Arizona? R is for reservation. Could that be part of it? Ooh. Give a little nod. Oh, wait, we already did that. Rattlesnakes.
Starting point is 00:55:27 Gosh, darn it. Seas not for coyote. That's a good guess. I would say it is in nature. Okay. It is not an animal. Oh, oh, yeah. Oh, we, nah.
Starting point is 00:55:40 We should have gotten this one, dude. What was the letter? I was known. See? C. In nature, it's not animal. Can't, can. No, canyon because great. No, no.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Can't be canyon. Can't can, can. Cactus. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That should have been, that should have been our... C is for the cactus wren. Really?
Starting point is 00:55:59 They wouldn't just put cactus there? Oh, wait. Cactus wren's a bird. Oh, it's like, it lives in the cactus. I lied. It was an animal. C is for cactus wren. Our state bird builds the most interesting nest.
Starting point is 00:56:11 Huh. those are pretty cool it's W have we gone over W no we haven't I was thinking wildlife it's very generic but it's like you know they didn't even say cactus peas for people the kind wild
Starting point is 00:56:24 is correct wild wild boar wild wild wild burritos that you can find on street taco night yeah W is for wild wonderful and wacky
Starting point is 00:56:37 times at the Arizona State Fair dang it dude Power 965 80s, 90s in today. How did I miss that? A triple W, wild, wonderful and wacky. Classic rock block. This was Duolipa with Wild Wonderful
Starting point is 00:56:52 Wacky Times. No, honestly, Gosses, thank you. There is, like, I'm learning a lot about Arizona in here, though. A lot of L is for lemonade. It's the state drink. That's a fun state drink. Good. Really? Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:08 That's good. Who knew? Lemonade. Fun gift. That is fun. D stands for delicious Chimichangas. That was the perfect one to start with.
Starting point is 00:57:18 Oh, they're adjectives. Yeah, right. I get fired up when we play. What's that game? Scategories? Oh, yeah. The letter is D. Food.
Starting point is 00:57:28 Delicious chimichongas. It's like, that's not it. You should have said Danish. You should have said something else. Yeah. So that's pretty fun. I,
Starting point is 00:57:39 we're recording this the night of Amazing Race, episode one. And I am so, so, so pumped. I just so fired up. I'm 95% pumped. There's like 5% of me. It's like, I hope they came across. I hope they got edited well.
Starting point is 00:57:58 They were so nice and so normal. You know, just like, oh, I hope they're not the villains. I have a hard time imagining they're going to get edited poorly unless they get edited, like unless they make them look dumb or something. Like they did seem a little dumb. I'm just kidding. No. I can see that as a possibility for sure.
Starting point is 00:58:14 That's the only thing I could definitely see like they're for sure going to like they're, yeah, they're not the most educated people in the world. No malicious intent, but just kind of no intent. Right. No, I just,
Starting point is 00:58:26 that's the only thing. Like I think that that can be edited really well to like, you know, you say one thing in a post, post game interview kind of thing. And then they go back to like this, this shot of you saying it saying something different or, you know,
Starting point is 00:58:38 whatever. And just like you can take out anything. Right. You can't add a villainy line. Right. So it's like, yeah. Someone like gave full context to what they're about to say and then they say it and you just remove the, you know, whatever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:53 Yeah. Or dude, like some of the, I love the amazing. Some of those like challenges they do seem so obvious in hindsight where it's just like, they're putting together a puzzle and it's like they're one piece away from doing it the right way. And they're like, oh, I just can't find this last piece. It seems like they're all here in the camera. like pans down to the piece on like touching their foot or something, you know, like maybe something like that's going to happen to him. But like that's not up to whatever, you know,
Starting point is 00:59:21 I think it'd be, I don't know, they'll be great. I just, I mean, it sounded, I listened back to the interview. First of all, I'm sorry in advance for pointing this out to anybody that doesn't notice it yet. I bet I said, that's so fun, that's so great, that's so interesting, that's so blank. like that was how I responded to every single thing they said. And I was like, oh my gosh. Oh gosh, I probably do that too. No, you didn't because I said something before you could even screw anything out.
Starting point is 00:59:51 I was like, oh, it's so, but I genuinely meant it. I was like, that's so fun. That's so interesting. Oh, that's so crazy. That's so fascinating for being so dumb how you still are able to communicate that to me. Wow. Yeah, you were so idiotic. So anyway, I was like, oh my gosh, I'm getting annoyed with myself right now.
Starting point is 01:00:07 I noticed that. So excited. So, so fun. With the Friday podcast, the first episode, maybe just like feeling nervous and not sure what to say,
Starting point is 01:00:17 I said the word fun. It was nine of my first 12 words to start the podcast. Hey, so this is going to be fun. The Friday podcast, I don't know what's going to be exactly, but it should be fun.
Starting point is 01:00:28 And I think we're all excited to have fun times. And it's like that one, our group chat is so fun. So I just figured, you guys want to see fun. So, like,
Starting point is 01:00:35 we're making this podcast so fun. One of the ghosties will remember, but that I think I was like a senior quote I had that someone put on a t-shirt of me. It was from the yearbook. That's what it was. I think I made a t-shirt about that. Maybe that's what it was. Yeah, we made merch about it. It was like, homecoming is a great time because you can see your friends and have fun.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Dang, this guy's a visionary. That's what I felt like. Like I know I know 10 words. I'm just going back and. between them. Have you seen when, I think it was Justin Timberlake, impersonated Jimmy Fallon for like Celebrity Jeopardy with Jimmy Fallon there. Yeah. He's just like, that's so good, man. So good. So good. So good, man. Ah, so cool, man. So so good. So, um, anyway, just can't wait. I, I got to figure out some way to like collaborate with and watch with
Starting point is 01:01:35 other people on it tonight. But anyway. It's two lines. We're listening to this, so let's not talk about it. But, um... CBS. Cibia. You know, Jimmy Fallon gets a lot of crap. I think it'd be hard to do what he does to have to like, honestly, pretend to be interested in all of those interviews. There's no way all of those musicians are like his style of music that he likes.
Starting point is 01:01:56 He's got to pretend like they're all geniuses and he loves their music and he's had to have seen all these movies from every actor. Do you think he does get a lot of crap? you're telling me that? I feel like I see people just make fun of him for like, I'm fake laughing all the time or being overly energetic and whatnot. I feel like that's the nature of the job. I feel like he's doing a good job of it. Yeah, it's like,
Starting point is 01:02:20 that's not a bad problem to have. Yeah, if that's your job. You wanted to be like less interested in people? Yeah. Yeah. I think it feels like Jimmy Fallon was amazing. And then he got to like the main, main guy instead of like, like back when he was late.
Starting point is 01:02:37 late night, like the second show, it feels like everyone was like, oh my gosh, do you know about Jimmy Fallon? This is amazing. And then he became like the guy and now people have to hate on him because it's like, that's what you do. Yeah. Once you're at the top. Yeah. So who of those, all those guys like is the best in your has opinion? Have we talked about this? I don't know. Like late night guys? Yeah. In history or right now. I don't know. Like last 15 years or something. I don't like, yeah, I don't know. I think. Give me, like the, the, the options in your, like, you're saying like, I'm thinking about. I'm thinking about. Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan.
Starting point is 01:03:14 I guess James Corden. Okay. I'll tell you who's last on the list is Seth Myers. Really? That guy. I thought he was funny on SNL. I kind of forgot about it. I have watched a few of his monologues and stuff.
Starting point is 01:03:27 I'm like, I can't believe that this is what they decided to put on the show. Really? It's so unfunny to me. Jimmy Kimmel I've never really been into. Jimmy Kimmel, I think is so boring. I think my favorite's Conan. Conan's amazing. I haven't watched him in a long time,
Starting point is 01:03:43 but like back in the day, he, he, you know that he, like he was the one that got chosen, I believe, to take over for Leno.
Starting point is 01:03:52 Okay. And then all of a sudden, NBC is like, psych, it's Jimmy Fallon. And so, like, Conan went from,
Starting point is 01:03:57 like, being the main guy to, like, I think getting fired or leaving or whatever. Like, starting a podcast instead. Wow.
Starting point is 01:04:03 Well, no, he went to TBS. He, like, had his own show on TBS for a while. I kind of remember that. I think Conan's the funniest.
Starting point is 01:04:13 Yeah, I think he's really funny. And maybe it's just because I happen to, I'll go down random rabbit trails of just watching Norm McDonald compilations. And it's like he was on Conan a ton. And so it's just like, Conan's so funny. I think that Jimmy Fallon is the most entertained though.
Starting point is 01:04:27 Like Jimmy Fallon's like he does like skits and he does, you know, crazy things like that that I don't feel like Conan did as much. Letterman back in the day, I remember my dad, as I've fallen asleep sometimes, he would either watch Jay Lynn or Letterman, I could just hear him like belly laughing
Starting point is 01:04:42 in the living room, just going in on whatever, like the monologue or something. So I want to make my dad laugh like that someday. I'll be a comedian. All right. Last but not least, let's talk about cozy earth.com. What do you want to talk about, timing?
Starting point is 01:05:00 Their products, mainly. Okay, good. Good segue. I'll say whenever it was time to pack our things for the hospital. Brought a cozy earth blanket. Brought my cozy earth pillowcase. And I slept on the ground.
Starting point is 01:05:14 And I slept just fine. Straight on the ground. Wow. Yeah. There was like a half a couch to sleep on. And then the recliner, and it's like if we're going to take shifts, it doesn't really make sense for me to sleep in the recliner.
Starting point is 01:05:28 And then now where are you going to hold them at? You're not going to hold them on a couch. Yeah. Sleep on the ground. Just get on the ground. It was amazing. I wish I could do that every night. because the only thing I had to rely on was cozier.
Starting point is 01:05:40 I clung to it more than normal. I had to have it. It was survival. Because it's a 10 out of 10. Yep. That's what we say. That would have been a 0 out of 10 and now is a 10 out of 10. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:53 You would sleep there over a lush, plush, perfectly wonderful mattress with no cozier sheets any night. Yes. I base my sleep on like the connectedness I feel to the cozy earth products. And when all you have is a hospital floor in cozy earth products, that's 10 at 10. Even in like your regular bed,
Starting point is 01:06:14 you go, this mattress is from server. Yeah. Yeah. Who do we care about here? This comforter is from somebody else. Ego. I give a six out of 10. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:25 I encourage all of you guys out there. Sleep under a bridge tonight. Yeah. But bring your cozy earth. And just bring cozy earth with you. Yeah, go to cozy earth.com slash ghostrunners. Buy, yeah, Pillow. bed sheets,
Starting point is 01:06:40 hoodies, whatever it may be. Cozyroot.com backslash bridgefinder and go and just find a local one by you,
Starting point is 01:06:50 buy the sheets, buy the blanket, buy the pillowcase. Thank me later. Thank you later. GRPC, 20% off. Gozure.
Starting point is 01:07:00 Jimmy Fallon does seem pretty talented. As far as like he can obviously sing really well, he can do impressions really well. Like it's fun that he showcases his talent and is not just like a guy who asked questions. Yes, exactly. Same with like,
Starting point is 01:07:12 I'll see clips of like Kelly Clarkson. I don't know how often it is. Once a week or something, like on her talk show. She'll just, I think it's Kellyoki instead of karaoke. It's like, she'll just like cover someone's song and always crushes it. Like I said, I don't know how often she does that, but I'm like, I like that you're doing that. Don't just like, all right, I'm done being talent. I'm done performing. I'm just going to ask people questions now. This is when you know a guy's been in the NICU for too long is like when he's like watched clips of Kelly Kelly Clarkson's show right like like like one came on my feed too I was just went everywhere oh really it might have been her singing golden the one I saw was golden yeah golden from k-pop demon hunters yeah
Starting point is 01:07:52 I was thinking like Jake was watching it on us like the actual like TV and the hospital one let's see what's going on in the search bar on YouTube was like Kelly Clarkson clip best of he's like Wendy Williams she's kind of played out but Kelly Clarkson's killing it still yeah Yeah, it was going super viral because I guess you know that K-pop Demon Hunter's song Super popular last year. It's called Golden maybe? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:16 Yeah, yeah, I've heard that one. Is that, do you, whatever? I don't know if you're like super familiar with that it was called Golden. And so that's the only, I remind me honestly, I don't remember how it goes, but I feel like I've heard it. I don't want it. It's like, oh, I'll do it. Because you don't want to embarrass yourself.
Starting point is 01:08:34 Yeah. Um, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. it's a hard song to sing, right? Very hard. And Kelly just killed it. Completely effortlessly did it.
Starting point is 01:08:46 It was insane. Because she is unreal. Yeah. People were saying like, I guess even the original performers, whoever they are, musicians, they don't even sing it in its original key. That was like in the studio only. But live, they don't do it that way. But then Kelly just at like 10 a.m. in the morning just grips it and just crushed it.
Starting point is 01:09:06 Do you think that the, the, the, producers, directors, whoever of American Idol were so mad after like at season two, season three, season four, they're like, yeah, I wonder. We found the best American Idol person the very first year and no one else is really that good. That is crazy. Ruben stuttered is fun. We like them a lot. Good guy. Not as good as Kelly Clarkson.
Starting point is 01:09:29 Clay Aiken, that guy, something's up with him. I don't know. Where Rubin and Clay was that season two? Yeah. And I love Ruben. I love Rub, I was so sad when he lost. So who did Kelly beat in season one? His name was Justin something. The guy with the curly, like, afro. Huh.
Starting point is 01:09:48 Tall skinny guy. B, not Beaver. And then I think it wasn't Beaver. Okay. No. Dark for a while. Like Daughtry was like in the mix at some point? You say they went dark for a while?
Starting point is 01:09:58 Is that what you said? Ruben. No, I meant like, what I meant was like, not like these massive stars. You know, they went a while before I have. like, you know, before we got Carrie Underwood. Carrie Underwood, I think, I mean, yeah, who else is up there in the Mount Rushmore of American Idol people? Was Tori Kelly American Idol?
Starting point is 01:10:20 I don't know. I think maybe she was. She's very, I don't know how, like, incredibly popular she is, but she's very good. I learned that Benson Boom was on there. He was. I don't. Yeah. Because it got, it got so irrelevant after Kelly Clarkson.
Starting point is 01:10:33 Oh, you're anti-Binson? No, I was just going to say, it's nothing, something. doesn't sit right with how he just, I feel like he was not organically made famous. Oh, Tai Tong, get in here, boy. What happened? I don't, I don't actually know. I think it's probably just,
Starting point is 01:10:48 you think he signed a, sign to agreement. It's probably a simple matter of just like, people liked him and were like, okay, we're going to, like, support you to become super famous. Like, I don't, I don't know. He's very good. Have you seen that, very talented? Have you seen that video of the, um,
Starting point is 01:11:02 audition for, who was it? It's either, I, I consistently get the styles and the Jonas. brothers. I think it's Harry Stiles. Auditions for America's Got Talent. Yeah, he's not very good. Awful. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:14 But I think it was just like he's got charisma. We're going to make him into a star. Yeah. Like it was unbelievable how the judge was. Yeah. Yeah. They sent him on. It was very interesting.
Starting point is 01:11:23 Because he was not great at all. Wow. Yeah, Dotry though. Dotry. Dotry was nothing. Never liked. Wait. Tyman, I was just telling you about Dodger.
Starting point is 01:11:33 I forgot with that. We were leaving the venue at the PPA like two weeks ago. and they were blasting a Daughtry song. We all walked out together. And I go, time in, well, honestly, any of you, any of you have any idea who's singing right now? They're like, no. I want to go, it's a guy by the name of Chris Daughtry,
Starting point is 01:11:48 and I have never liked him. I can't believe they're playing him right now. That's one of those times where it's like, you want American Idol, you have to play a song of this guys on the radio. But it's like, no one likes this guy. Even in its heyday, I was like, this music, who's this for? I'm trying to remember, you only had one song, right? I mean, you have multiple?
Starting point is 01:12:08 I'm trying to remember what his song was. It was kind of Hinder-esque, wasn't it? Yeah, but worse. It was like Hinder-N-O-Begh is the one I remember. Oh, terrible song. It's just bad. Why they're playing that on Power 96-5? It's not over.
Starting point is 01:12:23 Something like that, right? Like, over and over again. That's all he. T-Pain and A-Con are at their peak. I want to listen to them. Not, it's not over. Yeah, that's a bummer that those, Those two, like, different songs, like the T-Pain ACON genre and Chris Dottry were all in the same station.
Starting point is 01:12:45 Those were all like, hey, we should, we got to play all of them. So, yeah, we just got done playing Cyclone. And now we're going to play Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani. And it's not over by Dotry. It's like, gosh. The only other American Idol person I can think of is, is it David? I forget the last name. The guy from Kansas City.
Starting point is 01:13:07 Did they're thinking of? Well, there's the one like flamboyant one and then there's the Mormon one. What's the difference? Are they both? I'm just kidding. I don't know if they're both American. One is Archiletta. Oh, Archiletta.
Starting point is 01:13:22 I liked him. That's not who I was thinking of. Oh, Lambert. Is that his name? Adam Lambert. Yeah, so they're both not named David. Okay. What was the guy's name for Kansas City?
Starting point is 01:13:35 that's like Kinsey is so not, it does not have celebrities. So for the longest time, he was like, and the guy, throwing the first pitch for opening day, David, something. And it was like, the third runner up on American Idol. Remember that guy? You know what I'm about? Got third in like a regional, like the third runner up in American Idol, Omaha. First week, he got two out of the three judges to vote yes.
Starting point is 01:14:00 Here's the national anthem for the chiefs. I'm going to look them up. I don't remember this. guy. David, it's not glass. I feel like it's a one syllable name, but I can't remember what it is. David. David. Cook. Yeah. I knew there were two David. So you're right. David Cook and David Archeletta.
Starting point is 01:14:15 No. Adam Archeletta, Adam Lambert. No, I think it's, Adam Archelette is a football player. Yes, he played for the Cardinals. Yeah. Who were from Arizona now. No, he played for the Rams. Maybe he played for both. He played for the Rams. Yeah, there were two. Warner's team. There were two Davids.
Starting point is 01:14:32 Okay. Two Archelettas, but only one. American Idol Larson. Only one can sing that we know of. There was a woman named Anastasia, that won one year. I remember her. Remember Sanjaya? Nope. Really?
Starting point is 01:14:46 Mm-mm. He was like, I think, controversial because he was so bad, but he kept getting, maybe, like, the, the audience vote kept putting him through because he was, like, attractive or something maybe. Oh, interesting. The audience vote, yeah. Never did I once. Yeah, I always wondered.
Starting point is 01:15:04 It's a text. 3404 in the name of your contestant. Text messages, any rates, do apply. That was why I didn't probably. I don't know how much that's going to be. Can't afford that. Yeah. Nice try. I don't think I had ever been exposed to a real life person voting for a show. But last night, my sister,
Starting point is 01:15:23 we were getting sushi with some friends and she was like, I mean, I should go text. I'm not even watching Dancing with a Star, but I should probably go text to vote for whoever her favorite is. Oh, so she's got to... I think it's her first year ever watching it. That's kind of interesting. Dancing with the Star seems like it's making a comeback.
Starting point is 01:15:39 Not that it's not that ever was ever, like, gone, but like it's like the wheel is turning and circling back to like younger generation. Like I feel like my parents have always loved dancing with the Star. I don't think I'd ever heard of it until last year and Robert Irwin was on it. I think, yeah, last season they did a good job getting like influencers for the first time rather than just like people are actually stars. And, you know, she was the voice of this person 20 years ago. Yeah, when you had to explain their name, their name doesn't hold the weight to explain why.
Starting point is 01:16:08 She was the voice of sassy and Homeward Bound. Oh, okay. I guess I'll take your, I can hear it. I can hear it. Oh, my gosh. Oh, that was perfect. That was so much better than what I was going to say. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:16:31 Sassy from Homeward Bound. What a pull. Holy cow. Oh, man. The other night for Friday Night movie night, we did eventually watch a movie, but beforehand, first of all,
Starting point is 01:16:47 Catherine wasn't down here, so I was in charge of the ox, basically. And so we just watched, I counted literally 20 different trailers of movies from back like in the 90s, 80s, whatever.
Starting point is 01:16:57 Just to see what it, what would spark up for people. Yeah. We're talking classics. We're talking, Honey, I shrunk the kids. talking. Can I ask, like, where are these digital? Are these, like, how are you pulling these trailers? YouTube, yeah. Okay, okay, okay. You're just thinking of them. Yeah, and then I did eventually, like, use chat, GPT of like, here's, you know, some of the ones we're watching, give me some other, like, basically trying to help me brainstorm.
Starting point is 01:17:24 Honey, I shrunk the kids. A kid in King Arthur's Court. Do you remember this one? Oh. Oh, yeah. It was the same guy as it's Henry Rowan Gardner from Oh really? Yeah. That one was great. The Indian in the cupboard. You ever watched that one? I remember seeing that book.
Starting point is 01:17:43 I've seen that one. Yeah. Any in the cupboard? Weird movie. I don't remember loving it. Never ending story? I've heard of that movie. It looks super strange.
Starting point is 01:17:51 Boy, was it the preview alone. I was like, I don't know if I ever watched this actually after watching the preview. I was like, this is kind of odd. But people love it. It takes two. Mary Kate and Ashley. Oh, wow. I forgot about all the Mary Kate and Ashley's.
Starting point is 01:18:04 Yeah. It takes two parent trap, Lindsay Lohan version. Sure. Which the, like, what's her name? Like the villain, like the mom, like the evil stepmom. She was on last season, Dazing with Stars. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:19 That's who they would normally have. Yes, that is a great example. And they were smart getting Robert Irwin and Alex Earl. It was fun. The preview was like, in introducing Lindsay Lohan, like, it was like the first, you know. Wow. That's a really good movie. I remember like an movie a lot.
Starting point is 01:18:33 Haddy was watching the preview and she's like, wait, so it's just the same exact thing as the old one? I was like, yeah. Oh, good for her. Like, oh, okay. Baby's Day Out? You ever watch Baby's Day Out? No. It's like Home Alone meets a baby. Like, pretty fun. What were you going to say? They ever watch what?
Starting point is 01:18:55 Oh, I just, once you started talking about Parent Trap, I'm realizing like, that was a pretty core movie for me, I think. I think I watched that a good amount of times or maybe just the right age. Yeah. I feel like, yeah, I love that movie. I loved Aunt Jesse. She seemed like a good time.
Starting point is 01:19:11 See, I don't know this movie like you do. Oh, okay. You're pulling out secondary characters. I just remember the main premise. She lived in the vineyard. Okay. What else did we watch? I remember what we would quote from that movie.
Starting point is 01:19:25 It was always like, because one of the girls ends up British, right? Yes. And so... Started British. Started. Yeah. Started British.
Starting point is 01:19:31 Same actress. I just... Explain that to me. I just remember like, she gets scared. She's like, oh, you gave me a fright. I just like,
Starting point is 01:19:40 I think it might be aunt, whoever you just said, who's like, I gave you a fright? It's like, we thought that was so funny. What else did we watch? Shoot.
Starting point is 01:19:52 No, I can't remember. You guys mess me up. Sorry, I shouldn't have. Did you do more Mary Kate and Ashley's? Oh, here we go. No, we didn't. I watched kicking and screaming preview with them.
Starting point is 01:20:05 See how that would feel. I don't know if they understood Will Ferrell's humor quite yet. Yeah. But they loved the part wherever, what's the little Asian kid's name? Gongsung. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:16 He was like hitting the... With the cup. Pop, pop, pop, pop up on his leg. Haddy thought that was hilarious. Yeah. What else do you think? What is Master of Disguise rated? I think they could throw it out on that yet?
Starting point is 01:20:28 PG. Yeah. So I don't know, man. I'm kind of starting to get a little lenient. Ever since Catherine, you know, open the floodgates with Harry Potter, I'm like, anything's on the table. Hey, Shawshank, here we go.
Starting point is 01:20:38 Yeah, exactly. I'm like, we're at least going to watch some previews here. No, but, yeah, let's see. Parent Trap. Tom and Huck. You ever watch that one? Angels in the Outfield. I think that one is going to be a good one soon enough.
Starting point is 01:20:51 Yeah. Mouse Hunt. I don't think I've ever seen Mouse Hunt. Looks like a good time. I've played the board game. I've never seen the movie. It looks kind of Home Alone-esque, but once again with a mouse this time. Same plot.
Starting point is 01:21:05 Free Willie. Beethoven. Dunstan checks in. Beethoven's a big dog one. Yes. Stuart Little. And then the one that made me think of all this was Homeward Bound. We did watch a preview for that.
Starting point is 01:21:20 He did. Homeward Bound's good. And then Little Rascals. And then we finally, oh, Muppet Treasure Island. and then the final one that we watched and how he's like, that's the one I want to watch was cheaper by the dozen.
Starting point is 01:21:32 And we watched that. And Catherine goes, you're watching cheaper by the dozen? There's some parts in there. I was like, yeah, I didn't know. Sorry. So nothing crazy. Just a few suggestive things.
Starting point is 01:21:42 But it's so good, dude. Cheapy by a dozen, it makes you be like, we're fine, dude. Like, four kids. This is nothing compared to these people. What about Airbud? You guys thrown down on that?
Starting point is 01:21:53 We've watched Airbud. And it was awesome. Yeah. Airbud spikes back. Our fantasy commission says for him it's all about the friendships. Cute, Kevin, but I disagree. Like with Bet365. I get paid the second my team goes up big with early payout
Starting point is 01:22:08 and can cash out at any time before the game ends. No hard feelings, Kevin. Just faster payouts from Bet365. The home of winning early. Must be 19 and older. Ontario only. Please play responsibly. If you were someone you know is concerns about gambling,
Starting point is 01:22:21 visit Connectsontario.ca. Or call 1866 5 through 1,2600. Terms and conditions apply. we have golden receiver no we haven't watched any of the sequels I have a feeling they're not probably quite as good but I could be wrong that's the thing they get better and better
Starting point is 01:22:39 I yeah it was it was fun watching those with them though they love they love the part in chew by a dozen when they soak the guy's underwear and meat remember that oh yeah and that dog's gone nuts just absolutely crazy. Honestly, I don't think Rosie found humor in it.
Starting point is 01:23:00 Rosie was more worried like, that guy's gonna get absolutely demolished by this dog. That guy's gonna get circumcised by his dog. That guy, yeah. So you can see right here is where the dog got him. Oh my gosh. Anyway, it was a great time though.
Starting point is 01:23:15 I bet we, like at one point, Beau said, is this all we're doing for movie and I is watching trailers? And I said, maybe it's pretty fun. I don't know. You having fun?
Starting point is 01:23:25 That can be fun. Yeah. Because there's just movies out there that's like, I forgot about that one. Let's watch a preview for it. Yeah, especially once you get down
Starting point is 01:23:32 like a path, like once you remember animal movies, you go homebound, airbud, free willy, Beethoven and they're like, here's 20 more movies. And you're like, oh my gosh,
Starting point is 01:23:41 now we can do this. Exactly. That's fun. Exactly. Also, some people, whoever was in charge of making previews, some of them weren't very good.
Starting point is 01:23:49 I was like, that movie is way better than that preview gave on. I promise you. I think that might be like a 90s problem or like some kind of, maybe early 2000.
Starting point is 01:23:56 I feel like there'll be a movie that I love and I know is good. And the preview is like, what is this? Like, why? This is what you think they've gotten better. I agree. By a long,
Starting point is 01:24:04 long ways. This isn't the exact same thing. But last week, we were doing stuff around the house. And so I just put on, uh, YouTube and, uh,
Starting point is 01:24:15 suggested is like, do you want to listen to a 90s country playlist like on our TV in the living room? So I, but it's 90s country music videos. And so it's like songs you've all heard of. And it was crazy. how consistently the first 30 seconds sometimes would just be like borderline silent.
Starting point is 01:24:31 It'd be like black and white with a guy just like walking down a gravel road. Just like the music hasn't even come in yet. It's just gravel sounds. Just telling the story. Dang. Our attention fans used to be so much better or, but also I think, you know,
Starting point is 01:24:44 it's just videography has gotten so much better. But so many of them would start. It was almost like trying to lose your attention. How many videos these or how many songs these days have music videos? Like I feel like back in the day it was like if it's a hit song, it will have a music video I don't know if it's like that anymore, is it? I feel like it is it. I feel like I still see at least like recommended stuff where it's like, yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:25:09 It might not be as much as back in the day though. Yeah. The only, I mean, back of the day it might have been to try to get on MTV. Right. And now it feels like it might just be just to try and win a VMA. It's like, all right, don't make a music video unless it's like basically a Hollywood movie that can maybe win an award. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:25:25 Every once in a while, I've watched music videos, and, like, famous people are in them now. Yeah. Like, I watched a Red Clay Stray's music video. Matt Rife's in it. I'm like, what in the world? That's an interesting crossover. I wonder if he's, like, a huge fan of them. I don't know, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:43 Huh. I forgot about Matt Rife. All right. Let's wrap the sucker up. We have any reviews? Yo, yo. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:55 Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. India in the cupboard. Let's see. Savannah Stevenson. Unfortunately, no rats. Five-star review.
Starting point is 01:26:09 I've been listening to the podcast since 2020. Six years? Question mark, exclamation point? That's longer than any boyfriend or job I've had. Sheesh. The guys have got it figured out. Whatever TB&J's secret sauces is has made my life that much more joyful and hopeful since the very beginning.
Starting point is 01:26:26 The pot has only gotten better with time, and it is so special to me to be able to connect seasons of my life with the evolution of the Ghostrunners podcast. Thank you, Savannah. Wow. Thank you. T.B&J. Mine, five-star review from Mr. Nicholson. Mm-hmm.

It has been a mainstay since I was in middle school. I'm now a sophomore in college. Wow. Um, I have moved halfway across the country. My dad had cancer and was miraculously
Starting point is 01:27:18 healed of cancer. My sister started, then graduated college, all while this pod was on in the background. I was listening to an old episode today, and Brad mentioned how he was stopped. stopping using his phone as often, and writing in a journal. I did this today, and it helped with what I'm dealing with. Thank you, guys. I'm excited for many more years of this. P.S., I want to meet you, Timon. I think we'd be friends.

That's good. Smuggling keen. Get something for yourself too, okay? Hey, take care of yourself in there. Yeah. You'll speak easy for a quick trip.

Starting point is 01:29:01 Yeah. This has been good, honestly, for me. I'm coming in and doing it's super sleep deprived, but it's fun to have like a mission or like a task to like stay focused with. This is nice. It's been good. Great. I'm excited to see. Yeah. Just just yeah, how you how you operate, how you realize like, whoa, sleep deprivation is changes things. Like there are a few times I remember when I record in the past where I'm like, I can't put sentences together. I can't quite like, I know there's something funny here that I'm trying to say and I just can't get it out. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:33 Like it's kind of like like what you were saying earlier. You're like, well, basically what I'm trying to say is we haven't slept for like two nights now. Time in Texas yesterday is like, hey, do you guys remember from last episode?
Starting point is 01:29:43 Yada yada. And I sat there for 60 seconds and could never remember what we talked about last week. And so I just text, I said my brain no longer works. I didn't even context to it. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:29:55 That's part of it, man. That's, that's, you know. Hey, it's all, it's all beautiful. Exactly what we signed up for. Who's got it better in us? Who's got a better? Filty Rich. We'll see how he's doing,
