Well, let's keep this thing moving.
They go to for a game on the line.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He was getting boxing, man.
We talk about the Eastalock in the West.
West, I was traditionally been.
Yeah, we talk about some teams.
I never hear y'all talk like Toronto.
Swaggis, it's a new day.
Milwaukee.
It's preseason.
We have a contractual.
It's preseason.
We have contractual obligations.
Like, we talk.
All the teams.
Don't worry.
Once the regular season, third.
These are just preseason warm up.
You know how they are, man.
Look, they talk this small market bullshit.
Right? Before the season, everybody, we're going to talk about Orlando.
We're going to talk about.
Everybody's doing every year, how the small markets don't get no credit.
Soon as the season hit, you better go on a 20-game winstreet before we talk about y'all.
All right, so with Kauai and LeBron returning to the East is off-season,
Yon is taking the town to South Beach.
Halliburton back for the Pacers after you're out.
Celtics splitting up the Js
swapping PG for JB
and the Knicks looking to defend their title
The Knicks A
Oh, Knicks, Knicks. Big Market
Team. Yes. It was a mix and match.
That's why you got to listen. Stop hating.
2026, it's Friday.
How does the East stack
up against the West
top to bottom as we enter this season?
I think it's close. It's a lot more balanced now.
It's not as heavy lopsided. The West is not
way stronger than the East now,
in my mind.
The East is better than the West?
The East got it right now?
I said that they...
I mean, let's look at the top teams.
You did your top teams in the West, right?
You did San Antonio, O.C., the top heavy.
Then after that, I mean, some of y'all said Minnesota.
I said...
I got Minnesota.
I said Houston, Denver, then Minnesota Lakers, top six.
After that, it's like Phoenix, Utah.
In the East, Knicks...
The East got them now, man.
Nick's...
Philly.
Not been close.
Cleveland.
Toronto
they got two
three big name well
Detroit
Orlando
Boston
you can pretty much
Miami
Miami probably
it's probably more
in the east
it's probably more
balanced
yeah
Charlotte
9 like there's a lot
more teams that you like
have more faith in
than you do in the West
sure
even the woods
after the top
after the top six of the West
even your wizards now
yeah even after the top six
of the West
there's not teams you like
looking at like, oh, they, for sure, come in the East,
out to the top six, like, these teams could all
could possibly make the playoffs.
Come on, good.
Yeah.
But at the top of the top, you got the Thunder, you got the Spurs.
Who you got at the top of these?
Who are your top two Eastern Conference too?
Philly, New York.
New York, Philly.
New York, Philly.
So if those four squared off.
It's just going to be like every year, bro.
First, it's going to be, it's going to be West, West,
a East team, a West.
or West, or East Team, East Team.
Right, you got to remember,
the bottom of the West is going to be in the 20s and above.
The bottom of the East is going to be in the teens of losing.
Remember, the West is coming to town.
They're going to smack the shit out of that coast.
Right?
So when you're talking about West coming to East,
they're smack in the East.
So they're going to gain wins just there,
and then the top of the East is going to smack down on the West.
So when you talk about bottom,
West versus bottom east.
Bottom West is whipping the shit out of the bottom east.
No, no, hell no.
Sack and Normans are being like.
Brooklyn and insert.
Yeah, that's a very good way off, in my opinion.
Brooklyn is, this is the sack.
So this is we're looking at.
Yeah, there's a sack of the east, which is waver.
We're looking at too far bottom.
So we look at the bottom of like the seven through ten.
So Chicago and was in, they're in the teams.
They're not winning 20 games.
So is, no, they're going to win a 20 games.
And I won 20 games.
So is New Orleans.
They're going to be,
sack in New Orleans
is going to be the same boat as Chicago.
I like what I'm saying.
When Chicago played New Orleans,
Chicago winning both those games.
I mean, New Orleans winning both those games.
Nah.
Split.
I'm talking about in general.
In general.
I'm talking about like 70.
Yeah, I'm talking about, yeah.
I think those two are stronger in the east
than the ones in the West.
When you look at, one through the playing.
Look, 7 through 10 for the West is like,
Phoenix, Portland,
Utah and who else you're throwing in there?
Warriors shit.
Golden State.
So now the 7 through 10 in the east, I'm looking at like Charlotte, Washington,
Boston might be there.
Detroit, Boston, Miami.
Orlando, come on.
Orlando.
Shit, Miami might be.
Man, Miami's true.
I'm trying to tell you all.
Miami could be in the eighth seed.
It could be in seven.
It could be a seven.
I think it's very probably the closest
It's been in a long time
You can make arguments either way
Cap, that's all illusion
Oh my God
All illusion man
On what side of you?
They just won
The East just won
They just won
New York won, you know that
No, I know
You're not saying
You're talking about totality
Right, so we're gonna
So 60
After OKC
and fucking the Spurs
Both teams are going to win 60.
Houston, I'm not really in front of Houston.
They're going to be a top three.
So think about it.
Top two teams in the West are winning 60 games.
Only one team in the East might get the might get the 60.
Might get the 60.
They could be, but they might get to 60.
Thunder Spurs last season, 64 wins, 62 wins.
You had the Pistons with 60 wins.
You had the Celtics, surprisingly, with 56 wins.
But that was a down year, so you might have expected.
Has the most wins the last year
So one, no, so one, two, and then
East is three, four.
Three years ago, the Seasons had the best record.
They're not the same team, though.
But again, I get me the same.
It goes, but there goes, one two,
one two West, one two West,
one two West, three, four East, five, six West,
seven, eight.
To the bottom.
Ninthead West, 11, 12 years.
The East is a little,
it's a lot stronger than what it was,
and I think they're stronger than the West
when it comes through six through 10,
seven through 10.
Because you got, you got the Kings,
you got the Grizzlies,
you got the Mavs, Pelicans.
Yeah.
Clippers.
Potentially.
That'll be bottom feeders.
I think the Orlando's, the Miami's, the Charlottets, the Washington's.
You keep throwing Miami in there.
They are seven, bro.
They keep throwing Miami in there.
I'm trying to tell you guys.
Until they do that trade, New York, Philly, Cleveland, Detroit, Toronto.
Even when they went to the finals, they was an AFC, right?
Who?
Jimmy Butler.
Yeah, but they was a top seat at the year before.
They just started off bad.
Got hurt.
But again, there's a lot of, they're not better than the six teams I can know for sure better.
Y'all giving, what's, was y'all, y'all giving teams that were good last year credit.
And the world seeing their flaws.
In the playoffs.
In the playoffs.
That means they can be bad.
Which means regular season, we know how to play you guys a little bit better.
Right?
Like, I really believe, I don't, I don't think Detroit's going to be up there.
I don't think.
You don't think, like, they literally.
They literally struggled with Orlando.
That was a playoffs, but they're going to be.
They struggled.
You don't think it'll be a top six team in the regular season?
Like you-
Six maybe.
Well, you can say the same thing about Houston.
They got their ass whooped.
Yeah.
In the first round of the playoff.
And you think they're going to be a four-five seed.
Denver.
You can say the same thing about them.
What's the year?
Three, right?
They were three.
Yeah.
Okay.
Everybody's not going to make it.
One eight, you go into game seven.
They still going to win.
And you need everything in power because they only have one guy.
You're in the league with the, it's only one guy.
That's something.
Amy damn their team.
No, everybody got two guys or third now.
You're saying Denver only got one guy?
You said?
No.
Detroit.
They're going to be a top six seed, bro.
Yeah.
They have a good team.
Outplaying somebody hard?
That's not going to work this year.
They lost Isaiah Stewart.
But you're talking about regular season.
You don't think the Pistonsons finished top six with that squad.
I don't know what fucking
Listen, I get it
A young K, a young K, a young K, a young
It was a young K, when they was
named in the last place
The couple years before that.
And then what happened?
He need help offensively.
Help offensively.
Did they fix that problem?
That's for the playoffs, though.
Did they fix that problem?
Danis Jenkins.
They got somebody else, though.
Who did?
He was there.
Dennis was already there,
but he picked up John Collins
and then they,
I don't know about it.
Them top teams.
I got Indiana being down.
I got Detroit being down.
I got Toronto, Charlotte, of course.
And Brooklyn.
They're going to be at the bottom.
In the West, I got Houston being down.
The Warriors going to be down.
Clippers are going to be down.
Lakers are going to be down.
Memphis?
I got...
Grizzlies kings.
I got Memphis, Portland.
That right here.
You take Portland down?
Memphis, Portland.
Clippers.
Lakers.
Denver, New Orleans.
Lakers.
You think Denver's down?
Lakers.
Huh?
You think Denver's...
Is that Denver?
Dallas, Dallas.
Okay, I'm about the same.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
We are in the Western Conference now.
We've got to talk about a situation that went down in Portland.
Blazers booted their new play-by-play announcer hours after announcing his hiring.
Braden Bell was fired after a series of racist and sexist tweets from when he was in high school resurfaced.
Bell, who was reportedly around 15 at the time.
wrote some very interesting tweets.
I will read them to you.
At 15?
At 15 years old.
In high school.
In high school.
So first one said, I'm not a racist at all, but not going to lie.
Asian people piss me off.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Hashtag honest.
Next one said, got to give a shout out to all the big girls out there in those closet whores.
That's a good shoutout.
Shouting out big girls in closet horse.
They deserve love to them.
Not discriminating.
Is the big girls the closet horse?
I mean?
to give a shout out to all the big girls out there and those closet horses.
So not saying the big girls are closures or not saying big girls are closets
but just clausible.
But being respectful of both demographics.
I don't do this on the first day.
But then, you already know, I love when they say that.
I love what, I love when they say that.
Being respectful above Democrats.
No you get that.
He also, this is in high school of 50 year old.
Girls These Nights dot dot, dot,
SMH, hashtag Thursday for the D.
And then a- Like a play of the miss.
And then in the next.
In the tweet from 2013, Bell wrote,
We got a slut alert on I-O-10.
He said that for us?
These are racist?
Yeah.
That's sexist, that thing.
Sexis.
I don't even, does that even exist when you're 15?
I just think that's 15.
Yeah.
I thought he was about to say to him.
How old is he now?
Yeah.
These are from, what, 2012, 2013, so he's probably...
2012?
2012?
I don't even...
29, 30 years old?
Wait, when did, when did?
No, that's when you were...
Twitter was much different back in those days.
That's all I said.
No, when did the women empowerment?
That's 2018, right?
The movement?
That is never stopped.
No, no, no.
Women have deserved to be empowered for all eternity.
I agree.
Throughout all courts of mission.
Just a big feminist movement, you're saying?
Yeah, yeah.
It's probably happened a little later.
2018, 2019.
Mm-mm.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, before that.
That's just delete that alone.
I don't think it was 2012, though.
No, it wasn't 2012.
It was like 2015 and 16.
That's one like the Shar and Sheen.
I don't like, I don't like, I don't like,
I don't like retro nothing.
I don't like the idea of
things getting past
today and not acceptable
today, but was fine
or not frown upon then
and then you go back and penalize somebody
then for something that was
you know. It's a totally different person
than who they are today.
15? 15? Like this is shit.
We say now.
We are good.
Like this is something you say
Like, these are team things to say.
Well, according to the network, you're not allowed to work for them if you say those things now.
Yeah, if I say it now, at 29 or 30, yes.
Now.
Hashtag, thirsty for the D.
Maybe the girl was thirsty for the D.
It could have been a drink he's talking about.
Thirsty for a drink.
Yeah.
Thirsty for the drink.
Who pulled that up?
Yeah, who's doing the deep-dive research on it?
An X.
Yeah.
No, it's probably somebody going for the job.
Or the nigga who came in second.
X-that's been holding on to that.
Like, you know how much of a loser you've got to be.
To see the person's name.
He'd be like, oh, my God, I hate him.
How long that take, though?
To go back to 2012.
Do you know how long is that?
How many of these you got to do?
That's why I guess.
Nowadays, you can use AI and other proprietary tools.
Just put in some keyword searches.
Throw his account in there and see what, you know, go fishing as they like to call it.
For real?
You know, you know, you search N-words, various, you know, racial slurs, things like that.
Like, I don't know.
I can't go.
I gotta go see.
Wait, how long, like, what is the...
Statute of limitation?
For you to, like, if somebody says something at a certain time,
how much time do you give before that doesn't even...
Yeah, what's the statute?
Three years?
That is the determination of the Blazers.
I'm just talking about just anybody.
Like, if someone says something at this age...
Where do you get a pass when you're...
Like, when do you say, all right, they've changed.
We ain't got reparations.
Because I mean, whatever you sound like when you was broke.
Ain't no reparations.
Now, I'm not saying.
What you sound like what you was broke and all that broke shit, you're talking about.
Oh, yes, about this and that.
When you get money, you're done, that's, you're a whole different, you're a whole different person.
You're not talking to broke talk no more.
You've got a whole other lingo, right?
So personalities can change overnight.
You're a different person overnight.
Yeah.
So I don't, that's a lot of, that's a, they got to put a, they got a changed person, man.
After 10 years, it's like, yo, they can't.
You can't be held to count.
That's crazy.
For like past tweets 10 years ago.
Like, I mean, what?
You got to have a statute.
That's a judications on.
Teenager.
I don't feel this way.
Yeah, now that's at 15.
That's crazy.
That's just like your son right now.
Oh, you see?
He's bawling.
You seen that?
It's bawling, baby.
He and Brown.
No, I'm just saying, like,
thinking about, like, kids on video games.
They have no idea.
Like, like, video, like, if you.
You're a video game crazy.
Like, crazy.
Like, you are racist in video games.
That's just the personality.
What?
I'm not, Joe.
I'm not racist in video.
What I'm saying is if I'm hiring somebody and somebody pulled up, like, voices of when they
was playing shooting games and games and them being racist, I'm not, I'm not taking that
in consideration.
It depends on what he says.
I'm not taking that in consideration.
It depends.
It depends.
First of all, everyone is the N-word, no matter what color they are.
with the end word.
It just like I ain't doing with the end word.
Like, you know, that big.
I think this is extreme firing.
I don't think he should have been fired for these tweets.
Hopefully gets the job back.
They don't want none of that type of shit around the job.
Poorly got to save some money.
I'm sure they're just going to have.
I mean, I get it, but like, they got job.
To even go, to even look that up, to even foul that complaint.
Somebody saw it.
Somebody reported.
Somebody saw 15.
Nobody saw the shit.
Somebody was sitting on those.
Nobody saw him.
The number two person up for the guy.
I'm going to say, somebody was sitting on those.
That is an ex.
But that's my point.
Who was there in real time, and they sent that shit there.
But that's my point, you got to remember, he's a nobody.
That's my point.
They don't want to see him flirt.
But I'm saying, he's 29 years old.
That means he's been in other jobs in college
and it didn't affect him then.
So someone's seen he upgraded his life.
Like, oh, you think you're about to leave?
And then you just send back old reports.
Can you?
This is who this person.
The person was.
Can you sue for that?
Sue for what?
Somebody finding your old tweets?
Yeah, like, I'm 15.
Code of conduct, it's a private company.
Code of conduct when I'm 15.
It's a private company.
I can do whatever I want.
Because as a minor, you.
15, I had shit in my white draws back then.
I ain't wore white since 15.
That's what I'm just saying.
That's when you 30, you don't wear white no more.
You don't mean, when you're 15,
you walk around with things.
Be surprised.
You're surprised.
You'd be surprised.
That's that age.
You should be shit on yourself?
At 15, I'm shitty man.
No, I'm just saying at 15, that's what that is.
Big shit.
I'm saying that's 15.
That's 15.
They had, we're no haines.
I'm from the Valley, bro.
We had a big shit on our team.
Valley kid.
That means I were boxers, bro.
You remember?
What?
Big shit.
You used to call them big shit on our team.
That's your name now.
Shitty man?
He ain't white.
He ain't white.
Overse.
He's big.
Man, I show you at there.
Okay.
You think I paid it.
I didn't pay it to you,
I didn't pick it to you in a...
All right, well...
You wore white draws.
Never.
White draw.
Never.
Boxer.
I'm just saying, but that's...
You got thonged sandwich.
But that's 15.
That's that age.
You shouldn't be getting punished
for something like that at 15.
Obviously, there's, you know,
if you do certain things at 15...
Like what?
Shoot them a motherfucker.
Yeah.
Thank you, Swike.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, you might be on to something.
That's what I...
Because I can be a criminal at 15, and it gets a sponge from my record.
At 18, when you, yeah.
Or you get tried it as an adult.
No, I'm just talking to something.
Like, if I do something at 15 and stuff, you know, whatever that is,
I get it expunged like it never happened.
So, so those tweets be expunged from his record?
To be fair?
Yeah.
All right.
Should be a...
I pull some shit up from when he's in his 20s, when he's in an adult.
Mm-hmm.
Because by now, he might have a fact...
He might have...
His wife might be fat.
Yeah, he's 18, 20.
Might be a fat Asian.
Then now, now, you know, this is what he's into.
He might have married one of the good girls in the closet.
You know what I mean?
A big woman, Jim.
And that girl that was on aisle 10.
Shit, you know what I mean?
Let's keep this moving.
But before we do, appreciate you to everybody in the chat.
Even the haters, I'm seeing all your comments.

What's the racist part, though?
The Asian.
Asian people piss me off.
I don't know if that's racist.
I think just saying Asian, you can't say a particular group of people.
You can't single out a particular group of people, I guess.
Piss me off.
Not I hate.
Or like there's something about, yeah, no, it's.
That means, you know what I mean?
Like, it says, piss me off.
That means like, oh, drove in my lane, you pissed me up.
Like, I'm trying to figure out how that will.
classified as racist.
They probably just didn't want the motherfoot.
That's probably.
Yeah. That's all it.
We fucked up.
They just hired them.
They just hired them.
They probably found it.
Eight hours.
You don't want to pay him.
He ain't poorly.
Eight hours.
He just hired him.
They fired him.
Like, oh, we made a bad decision.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
But that's what good.
To your point, seeing Mike,

last year they deal with some shit this year
they just they're dealing with shit

Damar de Rosen been one of the most durable
players in the league throughout his 17 seasons, missing just 93 total games in his career,
playing 2,000 plus minutes in all but his rookie season.
Compton Native and six-time All-Star currently the 16th leading score in NBA history and
still climbing.
Now just 235 points behind Hakeem the Dream for 15th place all time.
At age 37, Damar had this to say at Media Day when asked about what he has left to give to the Denver Nuggets.
How do you stay ready and prepare yourself to maybe put on another 2,000 minutes this
year, which this team might need.
Listen, I'll be honest with you.
I just love hooping, man. Anybody who
know me, follow me. I play all summer
for free.
I do. I just love hooping, man.
Like, I love a game. I was
a kid that used to get
a whoop in and come in the house because I'll be outside
playing all day. I just, I love it.
I love it. Just,
I just always want to play. If it was up to me,
I play every single game, every single minute,
you know, so I'm just always be ready.
Let me start with you.
Do you respect DeMarie de Roses?
Of course.
Love for the game.
I mean, I'm sure he's hoping to have to play 2,000 minutes again this year.
But, you know, he has a different role coming off the bench.
He's in a winning situation, probably better, more healthy for his mental space.
But you've got to respect it, man.
A guy's 30-70 still loves the hoop.
Like, he don't have nothing left to prove.
He's made more than enough money.
He could be at home with his family.
But he wants to hoop.
He wants to play.
He said he'll do it for free.
Obviously, they're paying him to do it.
He's going to probably do it as long as he can.
He'll probably still, even when he retired,
still be hooping in the Drew League or wherever.
But you've got to respect that.
You know, a guy that just stays pure to himself
and pure to the game.
That's right.
You love the game.
You're playing at 24s,
playing Calabasas League with the old heads,
playing Drew League, I Am Legend,
wherever there's a hooping going on.
Yeah, that's my Drew League teammate, that.
Oh, man.
Demand de Roe that talk about his love for the game.
How much respect do you have for Deepak?
Man, this guy played, what, 12 years?
and the droolie until he won a championship.
That was his goal.
It was like, I can't quit until I win.
And just knowing DeMar, I seen him this summer,
he was a little, you know, towards the end of his career,
a little nervous.
He ain't never been in this situation
where you get picked in August.
It's a different situation.
Then you see a friend of yours just retire.
And Huswrest, I, Russweb.
And you know you're on that,
you know you're on the upper room.
You're next.
You're next in the upper room, man.
But he put in his work.
You're up in the upper room.
You're on deck.
You're up on deck.
You're on deck.
You're just going to follow him.
You're just going to go to Denver.
You're next year then, uh.
No, but he put in the work.
The way he changed his game,
he was just like a slasher athletic now,
the ultimate mid-range king.
And big up to him.
deserve it. Whatever. You got to get more respect on DeMarne.
You got to put way more respect on DeMarne.
Good, let's shift over to you. He heard DeMarre's comments.
Play 2,000 minutes in all but his rookie season has had season where he's played 3,000
minutes. Very available. I mean, he's horrible. I mean...
Miss less than six games of season throughout his entire career.
Yeah, you know, he's one of those guys that really
damn near went unnoticed. I had a stellar career.
I mean, you know, when you think about him, you think about some of the crazy dunks he missed.
Man.
You know, glad he's still playing.
Glad he's still, you know, putting it up.
Mad, he didn't come to the Lakers when he left Chicago, but that's neither here or there.
Right, fair.
Because, you know, we needed it.
But I think he will help Denver because now you give you give Yokic another half-court guy
who is known for hitting big shots and big moments.
Right? So now you, besides it just being, you know, Murray, you have Demar 2 who can put somebody on the ISO and hit those clutch shots.
So it's not a team that I would want to face in the playoffs when the game slows down and then it benefits them, right?
When you're talking about older players that are crafty, playoffs benefit them more than regular season.
So I'm glad he's continuing his career.
And he does love this game, right?
You know, he plays it at a very, very high level at UCLA, you know, or in the NBA.
You know, it's not like you're seeing two different people.
He's trying to be, he's trying to be dominant both ways.
Okay.
I think him being, hooping so much is a testament of his, like, the durability.
I think young kids could take something from that.
I think the fact that he's been able to play for so long, so many minutes and not have injuries,
shows you like you need to work out.
Like, oh, the low management, like, he is the opposite of that.
And that's the thing, that's why he was so durable.
Because he played in the summertime.
He nonstop hoop, and his body was in such good shape that it kept him healthy
throughout his whole career.
So, you know, a lot of people are like, oh, you need to rest.
I think you look at DeMar and say, this is why you need to hoop and not rest.
Courage is why you need to hoop.
Like, continue to keep running.
K.D.
But are those guys, the KDs, the courage, to DeMarie, DeMarie seems like just a hooper to me.
I'm five on five.
I'm hooping all summer as opposed to,
I'm doing the individual stuff and all that.
And I'm not really, you know, I'm not really touching the five on five
until we get to training camp.
But different ways of approaching it, but I'm just curious.
No, you approach it just like the past of it.
There's only been this new group of technology of nerds that came in
that said, hey, this is how much output you can only put in,
and then you've got to have this much rest.
Now, if you apply that to anything in the world,
the same result is going to happen.
I don't know why it's not being seen here.
If we take a weightlifter who lifts 300
and you say, all right, we're going to lift a day,
300 max out, take tomorrow off.
And then the next day, try to lift that first weight at 300.
You're going to hurt yourself.
That's not going to, you're going to take a week off
and then go back into it.
It's not going to work out.
Will you tell a sprinter, hey, take two days off
and then that day you come back,
let's go out and try to sprint again.
You're going to pull something.
We all know this.
So when you're saying,
all in the NBA,
we're going to take these days off,
and then now you've got to come out there
and guard a goddamn Steph Curry
and run around these streets,
you're going to pull muscles,
you're going to spring things
that you're not normally.
You know what I mean?
So that happens.
We just, I don't know
who still convinced these people
to take days off
when everybody who's lasting,
the McKell Bridges and all of them,
they're hooping all year,
round. They're lifting all year
round. Huh? Jury and used to
gather all of them. I'm all old
school. That's all they played. They just play five
on five. And they practice. That's why
their bodies were conditioned for that.
So like, again, these guys, they
practice and work out at game speed
and all summer all year long. That's why they're
in such great shape and able to be durable.
So, DeMara, is the
perfect example.
They're able to hoop everywhere. So a lot of people
can't go everywhere in hoop, though.
Are you all-conditioned hoopers, why, you?
Like any type of gym you could show up in.
No, I mean, you know, some, no.
I mean, not.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
No, you know, what's the funny is people don't realize that there's, there's, there's, there's players who can play everywhere because they trained everywhere.
Then there's players that I can only play in the gym, right?
I can't shoot outside on these double rims and the wind blowing that.
So, like, there's players who just can't do that.
They got to, some guys can't even play ones.
Man, that's what I'm saying.
They can't play two on.
two.
Right?
Their brains are wired for five on five, right?
And that's really a thing.
So there's all different type of hoopers, but, you know, the ones that don't care about,
like, injuries and stuff like that, like, I just want to get better.
This is what I love doing, and I'm going to go out there and play it hard no matter what.

I was like, no, I don't want to do it.
You said no?
I played with players that didn't,
I don't think that they really truly love the game.
I found the love with the ball at my foot.
But in my head, it was the long game.
It was like, I don't care what I'm.

So when you look at just the landscape of the NBA,
obviously NBA, we talk about Jaylen Dernigan,
that 200 million guys being able to cash out,
the lifestyle that they want, being able to make decisions
if they want to bring their friends in first class
or pay for meals and do things like that.
But how many players do you think actually love basketball
versus loving the lifestyle it provides?
I think everybody loves basketball.
It takes a lot to get there.
But once you finally get that money, it could change you.
But putting that work in is tough.
Dedication, going to the gym, waking up every night,
sacrificing your body, your mind, not going out when everybody else is going out,
doing the homework push-ups, when your friends and all that,
I don't got to do it, listening.
I think all that goes in it.
It's tough.
For sure.
That part getting there is hard.
The stress of shit the coach might not be playing me in college.
Like that shit tough.
Back in the day when we wasn't getting NIL money.
So you think everybody loves the game?
You have to love it to do it like this.
Nah.
But you're not doing it like this.
I said up into the NBA.
No, I think some people are just good at it.
That's why they do it.
Some people really don't.
I'm gifted at something.
I think it's about 60 to 70 guys that love it.
And that might be even a high.
There's a good 30 to 40% of guys that don't love the game.
I mean, I think there's varying levels of love,
but you think there's about 20 to 25% of guys
who actually truly genuinely just love basketball.
The elite.
I'd be hooping anymore.
Of the elite.
When you're talking about maximizing...
40%.
I'll say 40% really love the game.
Love it?
Yeah.
40%.
Then there's like a middle tier that guys really, really like the game.
Then some guys will just do it because they're good at it.
And it's a check.
Wait.
You think you could just get good without...
Some guys are just natural...
There's a lot of guys you know...
They don't...
They naturally NBA good.
Just picking...
They worked at it because they knew that's what they could make money at doing,
but they didn't love the game.
You got to love to do it.
Be in the gym by yourself and getting up shots, that shit on...
You got to love it.
Shit, no.
There's a lot of jobs people do.
They don't love, Nick.
Well, I don't love, like, the mental aspect of it,
but I love...
I love playing. I don't love that. I know I'm better than this person, but the coach
fucks with me, but I still go to practice. I still put in my work. That's love what I'm
saying. Some people... That's what I say. You got to love. You got to love it. The goal they love
to teach people until they become a teacher and you're like, I don't know if I love
teach these love. There is love. There's levels of love and when you're talking about
loving it to the point where you're... It's
the only thing you want to do.
When we're saying love,
we're talking about that's the only thing you think
about, right? You don't care about
anything else, right?
Like, if someone
said, hey, do Katie love the game?
Yes, he sacrificed having
relationships, kids, and family
so he can only focus on
the game, right? That's love.
Like, that's the only thing that I want to do.
It's like video games in this.
Right? Yes. It's, yes. It's watching
film after film after film.
Sacrifice is not having a family for basketball?
Yeah, because I said, yeah, so I can focus on basketball all day.
But if you do other things, play video games.
So that, that means he loved playing video game.
He loved doing other activities.
Video games and basketball.
Another thing he loved, too.
Yes, video games and basketball.
Everybody can love it, but you don't have to, that's just saying crazy.
You got to sacrifice.
There's a difference.
There's why, that's why.
So it's only him and who else that love the game.
There's an obsession.
There's a obsession.
There's a whole group of, but when we're talking about,
when they're talking about loving the game, the game of the game of,
of basketball.
These type of people don't get out of shape
because they love the game of basketball.
Right? They don't go, oh, I ain't go touch a ball
all summer. And then I'm going to
wait to training camp
to get in shape.
Most of the 90s and stuff.
Right? That's what they're saying. I'm not going to touch a basketball.
We had a long year. Right?
Like, the elites
of the elite, what separates
everyone
is love,
dedication and mindset.
Opportunity.
Right?
No, no, no, no.
Opportunity comes because they're fucking
loving something. I'm in the gym.
You can't tell me because you
Jordan, you love the game more than everybody
in the world. Like, that sounds crazy.
That sounds crazy. Well,
it sounds crazy until you're around them
and then they're waking up at
2.30, they're waking up at 2 a.m.
in the morning while you're still sleep.
Okay. But if you get, wake up at 2 a.m.
and get two hours of a workout,
and I wake up at 6 and get the same two hours,
that mean you love the game more than me?
No, no, no, no, what loves the game more than you is I work.
We got the same two hours.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
See, me and you are different.
Me and you are different.
So let me speak, so you can understand.
When Kobe calls you at 3 a.m.
And he says, I'm about to go workout.
I'm going to go workout.
Do you want to come on me and I just got back from the club?
Boom, he hangs up.
He goes workout.
Then when you come in for your first workout,
he's working out with you with his second workout.
Then when you leave and he's working out again,
so while you're putting in two hours of normal basketball
and he's putting in eight to 12 hours,
when he's putting in 12, he's putting in 12.
But you're not.
But you're lacking because of time.
If I put in 12 hours and you put in 12 hours at this time,
we both put in 12 hours.
Brother, stop pretending you're doing the same thing as everybody else.
Fug.
LeBron James comes to the gym at 12 o'clock.
He comes to the gym at 2 o'clock for a fucking 7 o'clock.
clock game. That is a different type of love.
When you're talking about Kobe Bryant,
there's no way you was on the same level
of working out. So when
James coming, what time James come in?
Who? When he gets the same hours of working,
you... But you're not getting the same
hours of work. There's a
reason there's a separation from
greatness to everybody else.
I can't tell nobody else how
they love something. That's all. I can.
You can't. I can't.
You can't. Can you?
I love my... Well, I love my...
I love my kids more than everybody else in the world.
But if you're sacrificing for you, but if you're sacrificing...
I love my kids more than you.
But if there's a...
What I'm saying is like, I hear you.
But if you're trying to compare something to two people
and one person is putting in 15-hour days
and you're putting in two and you're putting in two,
you can't say you're loving the same thing.
You said talent too.
So if you better than me, but we put in the same hours of the day,
you said people make it off of just talent.
They make it to the...
NBA's off of talent.
So you better than me, but I still love
the game. What are you saying?
Okay, there's a difference.
Talent can get you so far.
Love takes it to a different
level. If I don't have talent
and I get there.
If you don't have love? If I don't have
talent and I get there. What type of play?
Who? Who got more love? If I'm
trashed but I make it.
Who? That means you like...
You love the game? Yes.
So that mean you, I love it more? Because I
didn't have, I ain't supposed to be that. How much
hours are you putting into this
thing? I'm not supposed to be here.
So how many hours did you put into the steam?
I'm putting the same amount.
You can't put in the same amount.
I don't got talent. I don't got talent.
So you're not putting in a... Brother, brother,
listen to what you're saying. If you're
more talented than me,
and we both make it to the same place,
we're not putting in the same hours.
I have to put in triple, quadruple
just to keep up with you, sir.
I didn't have talent.
I didn't have the talent.
I had to wake up at 5 a.m.
I had to wake up at 5 a.m.
Sir, I had to wake up.
I'm saying if you're already better than somebody
and we're putting in the same hours,
but you're still better than me,
but I get there.
Do you still love the name more than you?
If you're more talented than me...
And you're already, you're going to be better than me.
Sir, if you're more talented me
and you're putting in the same exact hours,
we're just doing this, sir.
For me to catch you,
for me to catch your talent,
I have to put in more hours than you to catch you.
So if you put in two hours,
if I can never catch your talent.
If you put in two,
if we start off today.
Then you say you love to get in the same.
If we put,
that's what I'm saying.
What I'm saying is if we put in 200,
if we put in 200 shots,
if you're a better shooter than me,
and I want to be a better shooter than you,
I can't put in the same amount of shots, right?
That's correct.
So if we're both at the, you're this,
I have to put in,
if I'm trying to catch him in shooting,
or if I'm trying to take his,
spot. I have to work out before him. I got to work out with him. I got to work out after him.
I got to put in way more time to catch this person. So when you talk about greatness, when you
talk about the Michael Jordans, when you talk about the Michael Jordans, when you talk about the
Steph Currys, where you talk about the Kobe Bryant. It's all the same fucking ingredient.
They're working out way more than everybody else.
They're doing the same hour. You're not doing the same hour.
Same you are.
Then you're going to be a good.
And he's already more talented than me, but he's seen me doing the hours.
He doing the same hours.
I can never catch him, but we're doing the same thing.
He loved the game more to me?
What?
Do he love it the game more than me?
If he's doing the same thing.
Y'all love it the same.
But he's already better than me.
He's already better than more talent.
And me doing the same hours of the day, I can't catch him.
You can't catch him.
But do he left the game more than me.
No, y'all love it the same.
That's all I wanted to say.
But that has nothing to do with it.
You're not putting in the same hours as Steph Kirby.
You're not putting in the same hours as Katie.
You're not putting in the same hours as LeBron, Kobe.
Because I know it.
Like, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
But you're not putting in the same fucking hours.
How do you know that?
Because we will see it in your results.
A streamer.
We know streamers, right?
Oh, my God.
You can't say you are a Kai or a speed or a Mr. Beast.
because you're not putting in the fucking time
as if that's why you're not on the level.
They're putting in hours after, hours after.
I can put in all the hours and not play the game
and the coach won't play me.
What the fuck is you talking about?
I can put in it in 15, 20 hours.
The coach got to put me in the game.
If he don't, I can never show that.
I still love the game.
What the fuck is you talking about?
What I'm talking about?
You're like because you're the star.
You love it more than anybody in the world.
That shit sounds crazy as fuck.
You can't tell somebody how they love the game more than me.
Actually, we can.
And that's the problem.
It's not boxing.
If a motherfucker averages 30 points a game in the NBA on an NBA team,
how many hours do you actually think he's putting in to actually put that up there?
Get trapped every fucking game.
What type of shape do you think he's in?
I think you're both right.
That's the difference between what I'm saying.
There's a lot of people who had a whole bunch of
talent, who had a whole bunch of talent.
That didn't get opportunities.
And they couldn't get over the ones.
Yes?
You're both right.
Like if you ask, if you ask, if you ask, if you ask, if you ask, Shaquille O'Neill,
how about this?
If you ask Shaquille O'Neill, did he love the game?
He's going to say yes, right?
If you asked Kobe did Shaq love the game, what are he going to say?
Not as much.
Okay, thank you.
You know why?
Because one is putting in so many hours.
He said, man, if I had your fucking body,
but you had my work ethic, I would be God.
There is a difference.
You can tell somebody that if you see,
but what he's saying is you're going to see the results
if you actually put it out.
If you're putting in fucking eight hours a day
working on your skill,
doing your shit,
and you're going to practice against people who ain't doing it,
you're going to see the time.
You know how I know?
Because I did it.
That's how I went from fucking 15 to starting
to then taking somebody's position to most improve.
It was called work.
The opportunity.
Who is giving me the opportunity?
Work.
It don't mean you work harder than somebody.
What I did.
It's opportunity.
It don't mean you work harder than that.
What is an opportunity?
What is an opportunity?
Hold on, hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
What is the opportunity?
What?
It's some fucking niggas on the street that still go to the gym 24 hours
a day that never made it to the NBA.
Still there trying to get an opportunity.
Why?
You're telling them they don't work hard?
Fuck it!
You telling the nigger at 24 that I still go to 24.
No one of you ain't got no opportunity
Still putting in the work. He don't love the game. Yes
That's what the fuck I'm saying
Okay, yeah
If you're still there then you're if you're the best that's something you love it more than anybody
That's basically what you're saying
I mean you're the best that something you love it more than anybody. It's fair to say
It's not
No, I don't know I love it more than everyone
That's what I'm saying
That's what I'm saying
What's like what? If I got a 510 kid who spends 20 hours a day working on post moves he can
never be a fucking center in the NBA.
Man, that don't mean he don't love the game. That don't mean he
don't love the game. I'm saying you've seen
people who have willed themselves to a certain
level of talent by really just putting in the
work. I gave what you're saying too.
You're not going to make it no matter what you're doing.
But you're wielding, like opportunity.
Like what he's saying is opportunity.
No, I say, we're like if
we're playing, if we're in the NBA,
I know if we're in the NBA and we're on
the court together and me and you are
15th and 14th on the roster.
Who is getting the opportunity?
Neither one of us.
One of us is going to get the opportunity
because we're putting ourselves in position.
So when they call our name
or if they don't, they see me doing something over and over,
waking up, looking at the call off.
Damn, Gilbert's in here again, Gilbert's in here again.
Oh shit, he looks better in practice.
Let me give him an opportunity.
See, there's a lot of you who think you
deserving opportunity.
Oh, man.
You go get your opportunity.
But how the fuck you're telling me, nita?
What are you talking about?
I was ranked 99.
I was ranked 99.
I got drafted as the second pick.
You blessed.
No, no, blessed.
No, don't give me.
Fuck that dumb shit.
Blessed.
I worked harder than everybody.
Man, the fuck are you talking about.
How are you going to tell somebody you worked hard?
I worked harder.
You know why?
Because I slept in the gym.
So I know who came in there.
So if I know who was in the gym.
If I slept in the gym too,
you're working?
Was you working?
Was you working?
Yes.
They sound good.
Most improved.
Most improved.
Most improved.
Most improved.
Most improved.
The opportunity is because I took that shit.
I wasn't in the club.
I wasn't coming to practice at 11 o'clock.
I was there at 5 o'clock.
I was over there taking 500 shots before practice.
And then when practice came, I'm whooping their ass.
So when they put me in the game, I was fucking ready.
Hey, look, y'all.
That's the difference.
15 episodes in, this might be the first time
Bill is almost weird
I'm crazy
Danny, what's crazy
Danny, what you got for us?
Nobody's wrong in.
There's a reason there's a bus, bust, bust, bust.
Oh my God.
You didn't put that work in.
You didn't put that work in.
If you, if you, if you were top pick
and you don't perform, you didn't put that work in.
You just thought that shit was easy
because you're number one.
There's a reason these greats are great.
They have the talent
and they're out working everybody.
Oh shit.
There's never been nobody up on these these lists and said, man, you know what?
He's a top five pick.
He didn't even work that hard.
Never.
Never.
It's never been a top.
Never.
There's not been no top five up there.
You just said Shaq don't work hard.
Is he in your top five?
Is he top five?
No.
Is he top five?
No.
Shack not top five?
That's all time.
The magic work hard?
Huh?
Work hard too.
He worked hard all the time.
He's been working hard in the airplane world.
I mean, on it off the course, Mike.
On it off the court.
James?
James don't work hard?
He don't work hard?
James don't take 600, 700 shots today?
No, you said.
I'm just saying, you don't work hard as them.
Who's that?
He don't work hard as them.
He don't love the game like them, you said.
If you ask them, if you ask them,
you can't remember there's a, there's a mountain top of work at them.
So when you're talking about Jordan and Cole,
and you ask them, you ask somebody like Steph Curry,
About this conditioning?
Right?
As long as you in the gym 30 hours a day, you're going to be the number one best player in the world.
You're going to put yourself in a position.
You're going to put yourself in a position.
I know, you're going to let the game one everybody.
You remember this?
You remember there was this number one, there was this number one high school kid, right?
So I can tell you the difference because we all know this story.
There's a number one high school kid.
Right, he goes to college.
He's the number one picking the draft, right?
He goes to attend the workout.
He's a number one player.
He thinks he's a number one player.
He thinks he's a number one kid.
He's working hard.
What does Steve Kurt tell, Ant-Man?
That ain't even enough.
See, you don't know what your work ethic is
until you meet someone different.
So this coach is looking at Edman,
Ant-Man thing he's going hard than the motherfucker.
And he said, yeah, Clay and stuff,
that ain't even even that ain't even in it.
We ain't even trying to draft this right now.
You don't even have it in you.
Don't drive Ant-Man.
So what did, what did, what did?
No, no, no.
No, no.
Now, this is the difference between love.
This is between love and a regular-ass player.
He's not working.
What was Entman in response?
He put the work in.
No, no, no.
What did he say?
You're going to show him.
He said he called his trainer after the workout and said,
we need to change our shit up.
This shit is different here.
This NBA is different.
Not to take away from what you're saying,
but who did that coach end up drafting in that draft?
Wiseman.
Okay.
And what happened to him?
Thank you.
Thank you.
See, you see, what happened to him?
It didn't pan out, right?
What happened to the guy who actually got that call?
They thought, why hasn't worked hard?
No.
What happened to Ant Man?
Ant Man called his trainer.
He was wrong, right?
Ant Man called his trainer.
This is the difference between the elite and regular aspects.
This is the difference between elite and the...
Ant Man got that call instead of him being offended
and said, oh, I'm going to just keep working.
He said, I need to change my whole shit.
This wasn't it.
What we was doing, that's some college shit.
I need to tap in.
That's the difference.
Different levels of love.
Some people are okay with just being okay.
Yeah.
Some people are being okay.
I don't really want to care about the politics and all that stuff.
Hey, hey, listen, that's the difference.
That's what I'm saying.
How are you going to tell somebody how they love the game?
Easy.
No, you can't.
Easy.
If you're better than me, that don't mean you love the game more than me.
I can never work as hard to be your.
and be Michael Jordan.
If I'm fucking somebody
that's not Michael Jordan
that can't jump as high.
If I do 24 hour a day squats,
cannot jump as high as Michael Jordan.
No.
All right.
Do he love the game more to me
because he can jump higher than me?
No, he loves the game more
because he puts more time in than you.
I can never jump as high as Michael Jordan.
What you think you can do?
It doesn't matter if I could
fucking bitch press a thousand pounds.
I would never jump as high as Michael Jordan.
Do he love the game more to me?
How much time are you putting in it?
I just told you 24 hours a day.
If you put 24 hours a day and then you love the day more than him.
Can I jump like Michael Jordan?
Who said anything about physical?
Can I jump?
That's what you're talking about.
No, the fuck, I'm not talking about.
I could be Michael Jordan or I can be these niggins if I work 24 hours a day.
I said, that's what you say?
No, I did not say that.
We need to get a clear communication.
I did not say nothing about physical action.
I said if they put more work into it than you, they love it more.
You're changing it to who's better and who's not better.
He gave you your answer, though.
He said that if y'all work the same, you love the game and same.
But I get what you're saying.
You're saying a 5-10.
That's just not working smart.
That's dumb.
Some people work really hard and don't get to the bottom top.
They just might love something.
They still love it.
That's what I'm saying.
But you still will land somewhere close.
You'll show that they love it.
Whether it's a high D-1 or overseas,
you could be a Mike J.
But if you're trying to be a post-player, you're not working.
Well, I'm saying that somebody can will themselves in a position
to make an opportunity to make an opportunity to be a person.
loves it, but they might not be as obsessed
with the person in the same power.
He just said the same thing.
He can wield himself.
I'm just using an example.
You talk about Kauai, right?
Kauai came to the league.
He wasn't a great jump shooter.
I believe he told this story before.
But he put so much work in.
He will wield himself to be an elite shooter.
Some people will love.
Some people assess with it.
Like, they can compare you
with somebody in the same position
that was more obsessed
in the game in you.
You can compare love.
You might not have been as obsessed with
as this person.
You know what I'm saying?
You're the same height.
You have the same abilities,
but you didn't put in that work.
But you agreed.
if y'all put him the same type of time in
and he still ends up being better
he doesn't mean you still love the game the same
that's my argument right
can y'all shake hands before we move on
no i'm not i'm not
we said what we said you
that's what i said this whole lot
maybe you might want to try to understand some time
from a guy who had to do it like
you understand what made colby great
did he have michael jordan's attributes
did he jump like michael jordan did he move like michael jordan
no what he had to do is he
found out Michael Jordan's regimen, and he said, you know what, since I'm lacking these things,
I need to put in more, more, more. He goes to Tim Grover, right?
Tim Grover says, hey, man, Mike only spent this much time.
Okay, cool, I need to do double. I need to do more. I need to do more. That was the point.
Because I'm so far behind in the attribute part, I got to put in more. I got to love it more.
So if you ask Kobe, who loved the game more between him and Mike? Who do you think he's going to say?
himself.
Usually compare people in the same
categories.
If you ask him,
what do you think he was...
Who would Mike say, though?
Who would Mike say?
Mike's gonna say him.
Shit, I mean, he called me every fucking day.
Yeah.
He called me every day.
He called me every playoff game.
Every day, he's gonna say him.
Yeah.
But will he take a picture.
I don't think Mike will say that.
You never know.
Again, most of the time,
you don't compare people
that's outside of the talent, same talent realm.
Hey, I'm not comparing my work
into yours.
I know that.
Who would Lebrons say?
Probably him.
All right, then.
I mean, he goes to the gym at 2.30.
Who's worked?
Like, who got the most work, that thing?
Time.
Yeah.
It's called time, man.
You see the results most of the time.
People will tell you the stories of who's doing what.
Time, film.
You know who doesn't love the game.
Like, Rondo's like, man, like, I hated watching film,
and then coach showed me something in film,
and then he said, I was obsessed with it.
I had to watch it 24-7, learn this, learn that.
There's a reason the nigga can memorize everything in the court.
He obsesses with the game so much these guys at this level.
Like Wimby, like you're going over and over and over and over.
There's a difference between the elite elites and regular as all-stars.
You can see it in their game every year.
Talent, too.
Right?
Talent makes a difference.
Zion is talented.
You can still see.
But we all say, well, has he gotten better?
No, no, because you know what?
He hasn't obsessed with the game yet to understand, okay, I got this flaw.
I need this, this, this, this.
That's what the elites do.
All right, so if you're not an elite, you're not assessed with the game.
Time, Nick.
Time.
If you're not elite.
I'm saying time.
No matter how much, if Brunson puts 10 hours into his craft and LeBron puts 10 hours into his craft,
they both love the game the same, no matter the results.
I think he could give credit to somebody.
No matter the results.
Like if he saw T.J. McConnell say, does he love the game?
He probably would say, yeah.
You're talking about Avi Story.
He's an elite.
Avi story.
Avi story to me, a guy.
Not a household name, but I'm sorry to me a guy who literally willed himself to the NBA.
Like, Draymond Green, you can tell Draymond Green.
He played Arizona State.
You can tell somebody like Draymond Green watch film and film over and over, watching people's tendons.
You can give a crap to guys that aren't elite and say that he really loved the game.
And then there's some lazy motherfuckers out there that just got talent.
Draymond, he loved the game?
Yeah.
All right, well, let's love the game as well.
We got the questions, right?
Let's love a new game.
I don't know the hours.
It's time to try and finesse some bread on football.
Polymarket. This is put that on something. We're going to give you a trade on the
Polymarket app. You've got to pick a side. Put that on something. So we're going to shift
over to the end of... He's playing it in the 24-hour fitness being fat and shit. He thinks that's
loving the game. Yeah, I can run around being lazy too like that man. Now, but high, high stress.
Pack him up, Swaggis. It's fine. Good segue there, Josiah. I try to... Have you ever beat me
one-on-one? No. All right. He hasn't lost you either.
So, Dula, you love the game more than me?
Technically, he hasn't lost to you.
shift over to the NFL where there's
big games this Sunday, including
Gills Rams pulling up to Philly to take on
the Eagles.
Rams are one and two
to start this year. Browns won't.
Browns. You lost that. I took Cleveland
Browns. I picked the Browns.
Rams are one and two to
start this season after losing to the Broncos
in week three.
Are you sweating? Eagles coming off
an embarrassing loss. I was trying to take my
anger out on Big Baby. And I was trying to
you anybody was it as big.
Big baby,
one to shoot.
Reality kicked in.
It's like,
you know what?
I really don't want that smoke.
Big baby want to shoot.
So, Eagles,
coming off an embarrassing
Monday night loss of the Bears
who were without their
QB1, Caleb Williams.
Right now, Rams are the heavy favorite.
64% of traders
thinking they'll get the one,
but let's take it to the couch.
Swaggy, Rams, Eagles,
this Sunday.
They won't.
City of your brother, your love.
One and two right?
Yeah, Rams are one and two.
Come on, man.
Swaggy's taking Eagles.
Rams needs to.
I'm just not fucking with a fuck Hector pick, if you will.
That's what we're doing.
I'm going Rams, man.
They got to get one, right?
We both picked the Browns last time.
We can't have Miles.
They got Aaron Donald.
Like, you can't have those guys and keep losing games, right?
But the way the Eagles lost, that's why I feel like they're going to come back.
Like, they lost to us without our quarterback, though.
It's a bounce back for both teams, it looks like, right?
27.
Where is this game being played?
A 40-year-old quarterback.
In LeBron's, in LeBron's, New City.
I thought it was in Philly.
Like three years.
At home?
At home?
Playing them at home.
I know.
But Merrill Lads.
Yeah, well.
They ain't beat the Eagles in three years.
Who ain't beat the Eagles?
In the Rams.
It's okay.
They beat themselves.
So we're going with Rams City all day, baby.
Going Rams.
I'm taking the Rams.
I'm going to trade.
The Rams are at the Eagles.
Huh?
Rams are in Philadelphia.
Oh, yeah.
Well, I'll watch.
In Philly.
Yeah, yeah.
I thought it was here.
West Philadelphia, born and winning.
You just.
Going off your heart, like, because you like the...
Don't follow me then!
Shit, when season starts and I start saying,
Lake and shit, don't follow me then.
I'm a steady, though.
So what are the Eagles record right now?
Equals, I put two and one.
That's going to be...
In Philly?
In Philadelphia.
Yeah, but that's different.
I'm still going to ram.
Trust the process.
I'm still around.
You're going with your Rams?
Rams.
All right, so that was put that on something presented
by the good folks at Polly Market.

What?
Mostly fans.
We are still late.
It's still time.
We are still time.
We love this shit more than that.
We love it more than every other show.
We love it more than every other show, Swaggin.
One hour. Who's doing one hour around here?
You don't even love it like that. He's just doing it just to do it.
Three hours? That we're talking.
I remember times back in the day it hit that 90-minute threshold and the red light will come on time to get your ass.
Boot it off the stage.
Get the fuck off the stage.
We got the headliner coming.
That's that light.
You should have heard.
I was like, I ain't even trying to come on it.
Come on, man.
Let me do it like.
Just tap on the shoulder.
We got the headliner coming now.
Make sure you drop some questions in the chat.

I was like, no, I don't want to do it.
You said no?
I played with players that didn't, I don't think that they really truly love the game.
I found the love with the ball at my foot.
But in my head, it was the long game.
It was like, I don't care what I'm being asked to do at Fox.

Is there an epidemic against literature? More specifically, black literature. Our books are being banned, scanned by AI, and destroyed.
I'm Jack Quay's Peace Thomas, and on this season of the Blacklit podcast, we're outside asking some of the custodians of our stories, teachers, and
and our modern day writers.
Why?
They don't want a whole bunch of little elevators,
Michael Maxes and Martin Luther King running around.
They want to build children who have no empathy.
That's really the ultimate goal.
We want books that don't make white kids feel bad.
So is the war on literacy and information
or our ability to connect?
We want people to know how sexy reading is
and how fun they could be and not always associated
with education.
It could be an escape, it could be entertainment.
And that is the beauty of reading.
It can be all of those things.
And considering this is Black Reading Month,
the only real question is, what are you reading next?
Listen to Black Lit from the Black Effect Podcast Network
on our iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
Super Chat, and we will read them on the show.
Hold on, let me get it ready to go.
Sorry, ladies and gentlemen.
A little inside humor here on the arena.
Sometimes inside humor, I got to be outside human.
It does.
Yeah, I have no restraints.
I can do what I like.
Yeah, you can.
I can.
Give us us free.
So we got SS Productions NBA.
Says Swaggy's fit on point today.
That's complimentary.
Feel me?
I'm back to Swaggy, baby.
We got it.
Yeah, you can't go pink shoes with pink tops.
I mean, salmon on salmon, whatever that is.
We got a-
Man, you gotta go bag your jeans now, bro.
You gotta go back.
I know you got a Frenchie upstairs.
A Frenchie upstairs.
Weewee.
You gotta go back.
Hold on, I gotta see, no, no, no.
I gotta see this shit from how it looks to them.
It doesn't look like it looks like on this street.
I'm gonna say, right, I'm up.
Look up, get up on the jumbo.
Go to him, go to him.
How his fit looked at the...
Ooh, look at that.
You got to hear what you see it in the bell bottom,
Swaggy Bowie?
You feel me?
You feel me?
Shout out to Nick Arcade, one of my favorite shows growing up.
This is what I feel every time the green screen comes down.
I think you're just a hater.
I think you just a hater.
You just got to break your little brother down all the time.
That's what it is.
What I just realized is, I don't know fashion.
I just don't know fashion.
I don't know what it is.
I have no idea about it.
So I'm gonna stay in my own lane.
It's right.
It's day to day.
It changes every day.
And I'm like like I don't know who big back in here.
Everything's in style now.
Baggy tight.
Everything is style now.
The key is where what you did, brother?
Where what you dig, sir?
Swaggy.
Alright, we got a comment from Mike, Mike,
or question from Mike,
Mike 100.
You can just grab this shit out of his tronto.
Like he finished working out playing basketball
Then he goes in the trunk
And then he's just
And he just grab the shirt
Grab a pants
What do they wear the school now
Pajamas and shit right?
They learn from me, yeah
Mike 100
What was the toughest
Contract negotiation y'all had
With playing and how did it in
Toughest contract negotiation
We're playing
How did it end?
You know when you called me
We got some good comments
In the chat
Yeah
I mean mine was
My was
My was
Talked about earlier.
In the right place.
Okay.
Like even my first contract
to go to Washington.
I mean, it was either,
my options was,
I had 55 from Clippers,
and then DC can only,
I mean,
not D.C., but Golden State
can only pay me
$4 million.
So I had to sign a one year $4 million.
And then we had an under-the-table deal,
which was $7.
$79 million.
That's our conventor.
Yep.
So if I took the $4 million, that came with like a Viper, Ferrari, Lamborghini.
Like, that was part of the deal to take the $4.9 and then the $79 million.
And it was that or take the $64 for $6 from Washington.
So it was like either eight year, 84, not knowing if I didn't get hurt,
would they still give me that deal or take the money that was on the table,
which was Washington.
was a better deal.
For those of my...
That was my hardest decision.
Being young, turning down
them three cars while being broke.
Damn.
Then how about your stuff?
I mean, all of my were pretty smooth.
Most of them were on the up.
Well, early on was very small,
but I didn't have a name,
so I just took whatever I could get.
And then after that, it was, like,
trying to see where I wanted to go.
Before I came to L.A.,
it was like...
The first one was back in San Antonio, it happened quick.
But that first big contract, were you smiling?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Were you whistling?
As long as they come to a number, they said they weren't able to reach the max number.
Obviously, always try to get a deal.
But I was like, we're not going to go under this number.
At my position, everybody was getting like 15 per.
They got me at like 10 per, which was in Texas.
You're going to get a little bit more.
But it was easy deal.
I was able to come back.
Is that what they used in Texas?
We were going to win.
We got to keep the same team together, you know.
Then before I came to L.A.,
It was between LA and Dallas.
That was a little tough, but I knew this best place chance I had to win.
Toughest ones probably in Philly were it took a little longer.
I had been there on the end of my deal.
Of the L.A. deal was like a two-year-thirty.
And then I was supposed to be re-up.
But the market, they originally said they was going to pay a number,
but they saw the market was they didn't have to pay that number.
Ended up coming down quite a bit.
in Philly?
Was it a Darrow-Merry situation?
Doc kind of pushed it to make it a little bit better.
And it was like two-year,
on the second year non-guaranteed,
two-year-20.
I was supposed to stay in the same range
about the 15-range,
but it ended up being,
it started came down to like eight,
and then it ended up being 10.
But the second year,
non-guaranteed,
and I tore my knee after that.
I wasn't sure if the shit was going to get picked up
the second year.
I'm lucky enough.
No, let's talk about yours.
Let's talk about yours.
No, I don't know that shit is PTSD.
Played with your bread.
Yeah, he ran into the old, that agent has two players.
Why are you like telling this?
Like, you hate me?
So I'm just saying, no, no.
Why do you want to break me down on the platform?
How the fuck I'll break you down?
No, no, no, no.
That already happened.
We're trying to, we're trying to educate the next people.
I'm telling you I got PTSD from me.
Well, God damn it's just going to be another year.
You get...
It was two people...
He had two shooting guards fighting for the same money.
And then what happened?
Nick, you want to tell the story?
I imagine that the one of them who wasn't Nick took the...
I told him from the beginning.
I said, he got who?
Oh, you got to fire that, ain't you?
You got to fire that.
You got to fire that.
You know, I appreciate your candid nature and it seemed to offer great advice.
You remember?
Because what I did early in my career was listen to contract stories.
Yeah.
Right?
So I'm listening to, like, stories and hearing the stuff.
So when things are happening in a free agent, I'm like, oh, shit, hey, whoa, whoa.
Like, don't do that.
So, like, when you said the market, I was going to ask you this.
When the market dipped, what player signed a deal that they shouldn't have?
I think it was Lou Will.
There you go.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You kind of, but that was before it, but he, when he signed that, I think everybody was just like, damn, what the fuck?
Damn.
Lou was like, I'm cool, man, got white T's and shit.
I'm in L.A. I'm in home.
Because Lou was wait.
He never signed more than that.
And he was messing up the market.
He was worth about 15, 20 a year.
But I think it was also, it was after the year, you know, Schroeder turned down.
But, like, it just, it wasn't there.
Like, the CBA was shifting.
There wasn't just money.
Everybody was on the books for shit.
And the cap, the salary cap was the apron.
They was like, now we're not going above this.
So we don't have to pay you that.
You know what I'm saying?
And there's nobody out there that has the money to pay you that anyway.
It was the lockout year, too.
They played a game in preseason I missed and all that.
There's like people don't understand this too.
Like in players, when you're going to free agency, like there's a pecking order.
There is a pecking order.
There's a pecking order.
and who the top free agent is
and in your position.
Now, what happens is
if it goes one, two, and three,
and he's worth a hundred,
I'm worth 95, he's worth 90.
Right? That's how it's going to go.
Now, if he fucks off
and they get him for a discount, they get his ass for 75,
I'm at 70, I'm mad at him,
he's mad at him, he's mad at me,
he's at 65. That's how it goes.
So, like, people hurt each other.
If somebody's not going in,
taking that max money, and we're sitting there looking, waiting for somebody, like, come on, please sign.
And when you see somebody get overpaid, he's like, yeah.
Yeah. Some guys definitely made the market better, too.
Like, okay, he got paid. Like, that's going to help.
Yeah, like, Austin, like, Austin, for this summer, Austin Reeves signing the deal he does, like, a non-all-star making that.
He'd be like, yeah.
In our time, it was, like, three-and-d guys, like Wesley Matthews, he's one of the first guys.
Marry Carroll.
Yeah.
Alan Krab signed a big one.
Evan Turner signed one.
We're like, oh, shit, okay, we're good.
I think that as a crab messed up.
But that was a precedent.
They could sign that and stay there.
We're in a good spot.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We can get 15 for the next couple of years
and shit keep going up.
Like that, that giddy, them giddy deals,
that was, like, that was a bad.
Oh, you getting a little older.
Now they started discounts.
Like, I ain't that much of a step floor.
God then.
So.
Oh, good.
All right, let's keep this thing moving.
No, that was it.
What you mean?
We got one more that you say?
Let's go one more good one.
One more.
So who's, this is one for play for keeps with the Z.
Who's on the all-time special ed NBA team?
I'm about looking that way.
I'm looking right here.
Down here to chat.
No, nah, nah.
We don't know who's slow.
We don't.
Can we say, we take this in a different light, right?
Like, who's the funniest?
They actually were contractual.
We can't put them.
We can't make a special ed category.
I'm just messing with it.
We could put the most, like, media
not savvy,
yeah, most entertaining media-wise.
Like, who's going to say some wild shit in the media?
I think a couple of them on the same team.
We could look at Minnesota right now.
Yeah.
Fact.
And say, that's going to be entertaining media team.
Withers in 2008, 7, 5, 06.
Hey, listen, we...
From the Wizards from 2000 all the way up to...
I just realized I didn't have no chance.
Either we was going to be really good.
Think about it.
They had Kwamey Brown.
You had Kwamey Brown.
Michael Jordan, Klami, used to break.
Oh, you mean back then?
From 2000, I'm saying, to...
No, just our team.
Think about our team that's in media right now.
Me, you...
Today's game or just overall, all history of games?
Like, thinking about...
Now, think about this is one team.
You have me and him in the media, right?
You got Brennan Haywood in the media.
You have...
With Javelle with y'all?
Javelle was with us, Javell.
Then you have...
Andre Blotch.
Daniels
We have Daniels
You got Karam Butler
Deshawn Stevenson
If he was in podcast
Podcasts is over
Are we talking just all
Just basketball
Yeah he was just trying to see
Who's like not basketball sports
I'm trying to think like
Special NBA team is a question asked
I did not
We can't do that
But I don't know some people
Said some wild shit back in the day
Like special A no he means on a slow side
Yeah
I don't know
You got to play with them.
Because some people are actually, like, they're basketball dumb.
Yeah.
But they're smart, people.
Right?
Just, like, different between street smarts and book smart.
Some people might be basketball smart and just dumb on the street.
Yeah.
They just don't have to...
All right.
So, I'm going to read one more comment, and then one more question that we're out of here.
So comment we got from elevated form.
Say, Steve Buckhant's dagger on an Agent Zero3, what's better?
What's better than that?
What?
Steve Buckhantzantz calling a dagger on an agent's...
Yeah.
Better than that?
No, okay.
No, I said yes.
There is something better than that?
Huh?
There is something better than that?
No, nothing better than that.
Well.
Where we were going?
Thank you, Dan.
I know.
When my wife says my name in the morning.
Oh, man.
On that note, that was mostly fans.
That was mostly fans.
I got to deal with that.
That's go.
That was mostly fans.
Damn, y'all don't like love?
We don't love it like that.
You don't love to love like I love to love.
Another great weekend here in Gills Arena, week three of season five.
NBA preseason starts tomorrow.
We've got a lot of basketball coming our way.
Wait, we didn't talk about the WNBA?
A.J. Wilson won yesterday.
AJ?
Yeah, yeah.
He's a fever.
Not AJ.
Asia Wilson defeated the fever.
You talked about Indiana, Toronto.
The least we could have talked about it.
Yes.
For our own good, we try to keep Gileway away from W.
NBA stuff if Lexi's not on the couch or Cheryl to bring balance to the four.
Yeah, we can do some W something some other time.
Sad out to the W.
I mean, you know.
Is y'all watching the game?
I know.
What round are then?
Rika had like 45.
Yeah, we got like that was game probably.
Oh, they're still playing three games.
What, WNBA record, if I'm not mistaken?
Yeah, 45 and 43 minutes.
Yeah, 45.
Shout out to the Dallas wins.
A lot of going on guilt.
I don't try to trouble you with it because I know you're not paying attention.
No, I was, I was.
