Hey, we number nine in basketball

Who is ahead of us?
Top ten?
I mean,
groups that's been,
I don't give a fuck
about who's in front.
I just know we nine
and we need to keep going.
We coming for y'all.
But we live,
number one,
we live.
This is live basketball.
It's only us.
Yeah.
We know what.
We know what.
Like,
people are like,
yo,
your podcast,
like,
no,
we're live.
We're live.
Are we a podcast?
No,
we are a video series.
We're a video series.
We created our own shit. We got our own fucking lane on podcasting? No, we are a video series. We're a video series. We created it.
We got our own shit.
We got our own fucking land.
Shout out to the other eight ahead of us.
We coming for y'all.
Y'all know what it is.
Prepare.
But let's talk a little bit about Summer League.
If there's one thing we learned out in Vegas,
is that NBA Summer League is turned up like an oven.
Over 140,000 fans pulled up to games over the 11-day event. I don't know
if y'all went to any games. We didn't get credentials, so I boycotted just watching
on TV. Not rolling with the league. Free tickets for Gills Arena, please.
Ah, man.
We got the plug from the win in the encore. Did not get the invite to the game. That's
neither here nor there. We got our first glimpse of Wimby in a Spurs uniform. Got to see the
next generation balling out. And we even witnessed Isaiah Mobley, Imani Bates,
and them leading the Cavs to their first chip since LeBron.
Summer League Championship, it counts.
They get a ring.
Jason and Beverly Hills, shout out.
So according to the NBA, this was the second most watched Summer League ever.
The first being 2019 with Zion.
I think that was with the earthquake and Kawhi and all that shit was going down.
And did over 800 million video views on social in the NBA app, which is a record.
So NBA All-Star Weekend used to be called the Black Super Bowl,
but Summer League is giving it a run for its money.
So Gil, we'll start with you.
Is the first weekend of Summer League better than all-star weekend hmm that's hard for me because I
never went out for all-star weekend I said I said in the room and then usually
it's in some sorry ass cold-ass cities that nobody want to be in anyway so I'm
just going just on just the thought of it give it to Vegas because obviously you got more celebrity showing up to the damn all-star. I mean to summer league. Did they do all-star?
Ready what you think? Yeah, I'm gonna go with summer league, too
Just cuz you like you said everybody's there. It's in one spot
All-star weekend. I think all-star weekend is just for guys who are all-stars
Like if you're not really an all-star you're not participating in All-Star weekend.
It's kind of like no reason for you to go.
And it's usually cold.
I still haven't seen Jay-Z or Beyonce at Summer League,
so I wouldn't say the Summer League is bigger as far as celebrity-wise.
But, yeah, you do have all the young guys.
I'm NBA.
Yeah, as far as NBA players. But, yeah, I'm in be a far as NBA players
but yeah, so
Gotta go all-star you so roll with all-star. Yeah niggas and hoes
Everywhere they like city they coming. I like they getting on planes. They getting on trains. They didn't chicken on automobiles
Take home a short eight here. You can't miss that. Okay miss that, man. And then it's too fucking hot in Vegas, man.
Sometimes it's just like you can't leave the hotel.
It's just too much.
So, last two All-Star games.
Cleveland.
They got nothing on, though.
In Vegas.
Did you see them running through the...
They was.
I'm about to say Vegas.
I mean, but Vegas is for like, you know, like the youngins.
It's for like the youngins, really.
No, it's for the youngins.
But you know who got the game?
MJ Party, though. I didn't have no cash. That was a problem. Cash? Really the problem are the young gins and but you know, you know who got the game MJ party though
I didn't have no cash. There's a browser problem
You can't stop them
Them 250s media way to 50 right to
Holes in Vegas, I'm on this niggas and bitches
Come on the Vegas strip is a lot way better than
Indiana going there. Come on, y'all.
How much?
It's the private party.
How much? I know you got to work
tonight. I see you on the fly.
I see you on the fly.
I'm going to meet you.
I'm going to treat you. Already off the road.
The last two All-Star games, Cleveland,
logistical nightmare. No direct flights
No uber like 45-minute wait we stuck Salt Lake City janky air. We've already talked about it musty white people
everywhere
Caucasian hotbed no bunnies
You got the love but the one one thing I'll say about Vegas Vegas like you know
You talk to the cab drivers and uber drivers and they're like, yo, it's just a regular for us. It's not this might be a big deal for y'all this ain't shit for us
We've seen much bigger and better, but I think Vegas got it better weather easier logistics
More options turnt up and you get to stay at the winning encore if you have the plugs like we did with gills arena
And you get that gentleman's cut
And I know what we do. I know what we are gonna do
Next year when I'm telling you now we are throwing the first
Party
on that Saturday at
The Wynn Hotel to start off summer league. You know how like Kenny Smith has his party shot got us all that's what I'm
Jordan got their shit.
Yeah.
Gills Arena, we're going to shut the wind down.
Tough crowd.
That's going to be tough crowd.
Tough crowd.
Gentleman's cut.
And if you have underdog fantasy, as long as you got the app, you may be able to get
in.
Maybe for free.
We'll see.
I'm trying to tell you, we're shutting that shit down.
Yeah, I think All-Star next year is in what?
Indiana?
It don't matter.
It don't matter.
Indiana.
Nobody know. It don't matter. Man.'t matter. Indiana. Nobody. It don't matter. Man.
Not a terrible place.
Just told them.
Indiana, Cleveland,
Massachusetts.
San Antonio.
Just do it in Vegas.
So what was your favorite moment from NBA Summer League?
To be honest,
you know, as Hoopers,
for me,
I think when Zion,
Zion came in
just off the spur, just seeing us and just naturally got happy enough to come walk on our set.
That, to me, just, you know what I mean?
Like, you know, and we talk shit.
Yeah.
You know, and the fact that, you know, the respect of, like, yo, you know, they've talked shit, but they've talked good things about me.
It's honest.
I feel comfortable enough to just walk in on a live set.
It's crazy.
During everything he's going through.
Yeah.
I mean, that's...
To be honest with y'all, I'm a little nervous.
I don't know what was going to happen.
He came in there like, D-Bo.
Nah, because the window.
That window.
Hey, all right.
Smile, man.
Because we've seen him.
Yeah, we've seen him.
We was like, is that Zayad?
No.
What was we just talking about, this nigga?
He about to come in here? Gil, you all Zion? What was we just talking about, this nigga? He about to come in here?
Gil, you all right?
You ready?
For me, that was...
Brandon, how about yourself?
Man, for me, of course the podcast.
Me being able to see old friends, old teammates, old coaches.
I got a chance to spend time with Tyson Chandler.
And I was his ball boy back in the day.
And just being able to roll with him, just going to Delilah, just smoking cigars.
Like, you know, just catching back up on old times, you know, was good for me.
The Long Islands.
The Long Islands.
The Long Islands was off the chain.
That Chinese restaurant in there.
That 8-Eight was fire.
Yes, sir.
Yeah, man, I think Slam Ball was fun.
And just, you know, a working weekend for us, though.
Like, you know, I think that's what I enjoyed much was the working, you know, just being busy, going there for a reason.
Having a purpose is always important.
Rashad, what was your favorite moment from Summer Lee?
Well, I want to take this time to retract a couple statements.
Uh-oh.
The Greg Popovich bad coach statement I want to retract.
Ooh, that means Greg walked up on him.
He didn't walk up on me.
He didn't walk up on me.
It's just the energy of knowing that that was a take that was taken out of context
because the bad coach is that I expect more and I don't think that he had lived up for my only expectations of him being
the coach that he was.
And I was over critical in the moment and I just wanted to retract that.
He's an all time coach, you know what I'm saying?
And I think that just with the last six years, I expect more. Just roy williams with you know less talent you got to be able to produce more
or at least give those kids an opportunity to believe that they can be great players and i
want to also retract uh bumpy darvin ham yeah we saw darvin a few times uh i'm not gonna be
critical of anybody calling them names and stuff like that because he could have did some shit
I didn't know he was that strong. I'm like goddamn
The handshake L he Damon
Watch out real watch out He was at the b-bar like yeah
With the David you with the diamond and um and then just the Austin Reeves, you know his 54
me be able to say, you know, he wasn't worth that and I
Feel like I was trying to give him a bar to reach to go above that and I think they they gave him
54 and they should have gave him more.
Yeah, he took a discount.
He did.
The Lemon Daddy.
The Lemon Daddy.
The Lemon Daddy.
But I feel like, you know, if he could stay at the pace, you know, he can become what they expect him to become.
You know, Luke Walton Jr.
Yeah.
You know, he can do some things.
He can do some things with the Lakers.
But those are the things that I wanted to clear up because the energy down there, especially with me, was different.
It was definitely like a high school reunion.
Definitely old people I ain't seen 15, 10 years that gave me love and embraced the show.
And I appreciate y'all giving me the opportunity to be seen in that light, to be able to go back and rekindle some old relationships,
get some numbers.
But, you know, Greg Popovich, I fuck with you.
Hey, man.
Now that we got that out there, I ain't apologizing no more.
No more.
Hey, man, hold on, man.
Y'all was out there getting deep old, man.
Nah, we're getting deep old, man.
Hell no.
It's just the energy.
It's just the energy.
Darvisham was rolling around the wing in the encore.
The energy was cool to me.
The energy was fine.
In the LA hat, like straight through.
Somebody won't smoke with you though.
Yeah, I want to go into season two with a clean slate.
Somebody won't smoke with you though.
Better be known.
Yeah, you was dug in that smoke.
That's the only smoke I felt.
I was like, oh, it's getting serious.
I wasn't even off the plane yet.
Nah.
I wasn't even off the plane yet.
He was looking for you, nigga.
But you know, to be honest, like like it really puts us in real perspective on
um how much people fuck with us and they actually value what we're saying like i had monty williams
come up we was in a weight room um and i i think i was against him no no well i wasn't against his
money i was against him just why they hired him for that small team.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then he was just trying to explain to me about just loyalty itself.
And I was like, yo, how are you a coach and you don't have no safe grip?
You're getting fired.
And he was like, you can't think of it like that.
You really have to think of it like
While I'm here. I got to put the best product on I got to be the best of me
All right, you can't worry about you know, are they gonna fire me now? You can't coach like that
You just got a coach. I have it today. This is what I'm gonna do with it and then move forward
So just you know listening to you know, some of those guys
That we've talked about,
even Smile and do all that,
it kind of really puts us in a different light.
They don't look at us like... The love was real.
I know.
They don't look at us like the big media
that's just attacking them
because they know at least two of us is going to like one.
You know what I mean?
So we're batting about, you know, 60%.
Yeah.
Shout out to Jamal Mosley, too.
Orlando Magic,
Willie Green,
you know, show love.
Like you said,
like I might need to come up there
and say something to you like that,
but Jamal was, you know,
we used to do GERD camp,
and he was the guy
that was just out there
defending all of us,
and now he literally
the head coach at Orlando Magic.
He was my coach in AU.
That's crazy.
I mean,
they ain't want to
run up on me anyway
because they ain't know.
I mean,
you know.
That blicky.
LA and,
you know,
LA and Vegas
is like that.
It's right around
the corner.
You got to watch
yourself out here.
So,
let's keep this thing
moving.
We back,
ladies and gentlemen. If y'all thought we was going to change, we were not. We back, ladies and gentlemen.
If y'all thought we was going to change, we were not.
We is not a fucking...
The truth is, there's four of us.
I mean, we could probably whoop Darvin Ham's ass
if we all pulled our collector.
Oh, man.
Like the Avengers against Thanos.
Nobody get the leg.
Somebody get the arm.
Get the glove.
Don't let him get the glove on.
If he get that 90 proof step hat, nah.
Dude.
Mr. B.
You see what happened to him?
Spider-Man right there. I got an off ego. You see what Mr. B Spider-Man right there
you see what Mr. B came out
I got a lot of smoke
Chris Paul fuck him
so talk a little bit about
these Sixers
Sixers may have some problems and situations on their hands
with their dynamic duo of James Harden and Joel Embiid
we'll get to Harden in a second
but let's start with Embiid
during an interview with Mav Carter
at the Uninterrupted Film Festival last week,
Embiid kind of raised some eyebrows
with some comments he made about winning a championship.
I just want to win a championship.
Whatever it takes.
I don't know where that's going to be,
whether it's in Philly or anywhere else.
I just want to have a chance to come to Pichon.
I want to see what it feels like to win that first one and then think about the next one.
It's not easy, but it takes more than one to three guys.
You've got to have good people around you. And, you know, myself, you know, every single day I walk hard to, you know, be at that level.
So, I can put you to make you happy.
So, obviously that Philly or anywhere else comment.
One little question.
Well, he's with the Sixers until at least 2026 when he has a player option.
The deal's through 27, but he could become a free agent 2026.
So Embiid tried to deflect a comment with the following tweet.
Somebody said that somewhere else was unnecessary, to be honest.
Embiid said, buddy, check my middle name, Terrell.
So claimed he was trolling.
We don't know.
But what we do know is Embiid's coming off his first regular season MVP,
but left much to be desired this postseason
Sixers got bounced from the second round for the third straight season
So Gil start with you what messages Embiid sending the Sixers
By saying whether it's in Philly or anywhere else. I mean he probably seeing a writing on the wall. I mean
There hasn't been any real progression with the team. No matter how great he's playing, they haven't.
I mean, they've had talent.
I think really the Jimmy Butler, not signing Jimmy Butler back,
kind of stopped him from moving into that next level
because obviously we see what Jimmy did with Miami.
Imagine if he had Embiid and Tobias
With him right, you know, they they pop possibly will be having a champion
This probably would have been their championship this year. Um
so
Looking at
Where they are now James Harden who goes if he doesn't come back. He doesn't want to be there anymore
You know, you got a guy who's just sitting there like, what the, what are we going to do?
There's no room for him anymore.
So he's, he's on that, he's on that fence too.
Like, hey, it don't, you know, it don't matter.
You know, I just want to win a championship.
You know, you can, we've heard it all before.
What happened to trust the process?
I'll be tired of these niggas falling back on
their words and shit. You know what I'm saying?
First you duck the Joker shit, then you
know, second round every year.
Trust the process. You got
guys like Jimmy Butler, James Harden on your team.
You had an opportunity to get out of the second round
and you didn't show up in fourth quarters.
And what Gil would always say about
Embiid is the motherfuckers lazy
If he was in tip-top shape to deliver at the top notch of the game, which is in the fourth quarters
Take him over the fucking hump. You wouldn't be having this conversation about oh
I just want to be in position to win a championship and I you in position every fucking year
You playing the way you play every year. So why is it that there's an excuse when you don't hit your mark?
You say trust the process.
Don't leave Philly.
Keep that shit going until you get there
because that's what the process is called.
That's what the definition of a process is.
Continue to do it.
Don't give up on it.
So you've wanted the crowd in Philly
to stay with you
because you are saying
you're in the process of doing something.
So keep that fucking energy.
Now you're talking about, oh, elsewhere,
man, fuck all that. Philly ain't trying to hear that.
I know Philly ain't trying to hear that.
I mean, I agree.
I mean, I agree.
Hey, it's what you wanted.
You got your MVP.
You got your MVP.
I mean, I forgot he won MVP. We all did. But now that we talking about him, it's like, shit, he did win MVP. So... You got your MVP. I mean, I forgot he won MVP.
We all did.
But now that we talking about him, it's like, shit, he did win MVP.
So, obviously that didn't...
It may be a regular season, but come postseason...
I'm just being real, like, come postseason, and we talking about MB's nickname is The
Process, but question for y'all is when is The Process going to officially be over?
Is it when MB's gone, or when that team wins the championship?
Well, they're not winning the championship. Well, they're not winning a championship
No, they're not winning a championship. I mean, I mean the nah, it's called the process right? It's no different in loading
Right, but what if they could get that what if they could always always you always like
She just ain't going to turn over
the way you want it to be.
You know what I mean?
You're just going to sit there all motherfucking day.
I'm waiting on this motherfucker right now.
So just process is still buffering.
It's just loading.
Just put a loading.
Yeah.
It's still processing.
We'll turn this bitch off and reset it, man.
Still processing.
We just going to wait until the motherfucker's done.
Doosh.
So how much blame does Embiid deserve for the way the six or season turned out this year?
This year listen
And
It's always the same thing right the problem with him is gonna always be he does enough does enough individually for us not to look at him.
Yep.
Right?
When I say what you're doing with the team, with what you are equipped with, is actually not enough.
It was a 32 in this.
That shit sounds cool.
I mean, it's amazing.
Now, if I said, all right, how about this?
Let me take Greek's energy, give it to Embiid.
What the fuck does he average?
Oh, 40.
Then why the fuck are you happy with 32?
Do more.
Right.
Do more.
Why the fuck are you happy with 32 if I give him someone else's energy that he doesn't have and say, all right, what would he be?
Oh, motherfucker, the average 30, 40 in this.
That's what I'm saying.
He needs the average to get this team to another level.
Like when he went, then this is the problem.
When he was disrespected about the Jokic and he gave the man 50.
That's what it took for you to just say, right i'm about to be done why the fuck you're
not doing that every fucking talk about it if you're talking about winning a championship that's
what you're gonna have to do superman talk about it so is it him for me for me and looking at the
teams he had with his talent, unstoppable.
Yes, it's him.
If we put Shaq on any of those teams, they don't lose no championship.
They win championships.
He got a championship.
Am I right?
Yeah, you put a beat on the tier of Shaq, though.
Is he there yet?
Yes. I mean, you have to because he won MVP, but from what you see in the postseason and dominance and poses
It's a dip. No, it's a different type of dominance, but that type of
that type of
Focus that you got to focus on him. Yes. Yeah, but right do we don't have like Shaq's dominance
It's just fucking different way different when he don't he's trying to break my rims. Huh? Okay more like a cameo
Yeah, I'm on a set of sack like like more a came again got to yeah. Yeah
He did but but think about how hard he played I know I'm said like they you know, he's still king was getting out there
But it's the it's the leadership who had more talent
between the two
Philly or the team's hockey was winning with
The rocket squad rocket squad was tough was tap. They was they was or the teams Hakeem was winning with? The Rocket Squad.
The Rocket Squad was tough.
It was tough.
They was solid.
Yes.
Rocket Squad.
Yes, individual.
Yes, they was solid.
Who had a James Harden?
Oh, yeah.
No, not even close.
You know what I mean?
That's what I'm saying.
For sure, for sure.
But like I say this,
when you're a leader of the team,
you're the star of the team,
all of the focus, blame, and everything comes on you because this is the penalty of leadership.
The penalty of leadership is when the team fails, it's because of the leader.
It starts from the top.
So if you're not going to lead by example, it's going to show when the team don't get success.
And that's what's been shown is that he hasn't been leading by example, by showing the team, we going to win this shit no matter what. We always go back to Kobe Bryant. When you were
talking about Kobe had to average 35 because he looked around and was like, shit, I got to do this
shit to take us to this level. So when you a leader and that goes for everybody from Dame to
Steph to KD, Kyrie, Luka, all of y'all. Like, you got to take the leadership and the accountability of what that stands for
and take your team to the promised land.
Because if you can't, it's going to be on you.
The blame is on you.
So let's talk about Embiid's regular season versus playoffs.
Half their knowledge, too, he had the knee injury, but he played the game.
So at the end of the day, you play, you play.
It is what it is.
But 33-10-4 and 66 regular season games postseason
23.7 10 rebounds three blocks and nine games
So I was always led to believe come postseason those numbers got to go up whatever whatever you're doing that regular season
I got yeah, playoff is new instead. It has to stay the same or go up by one or two. Mm-hmm
Yeah, right. That's what that's what makes you that that dude staying the same or go up by one or two. Yeah. That's what makes you that dude.
Staying the same or go up by one or two.
What year is this for him?
Eight?
Yeah.
Let me pull it up.
But I know the first two seasons he was kind of hurting shit.
So, hold on.
That's why we got the computer.
Everybody was always like, why are you looking at the computer all the time?
This is why.
Has him beat?
Seventh season.
Seventh season. When Steph season seven season when Steph?
You know when Steph was dominating, right?
Like like it was him Russ right them triple doubles
He was like has in beat actually had any phases like that like just dominating like like he's just the most unstoppable
Dude, like we're sitting there like Dan. This man is unstoppable. You mean like the whole season?
Yeah
like Dude, like we're sitting there like Dan. This man is unstoppable. You mean like the whole season? Yeah, like that like what's that like when Steph was doing what he was doing or Katie was doing what he was doing and those
Guy he hasn't actually he's averaging 33, but it's not noticeable for some reason
He had moments during like a week
Yeah, like a week like he had a cook solid when Steph was cooking the whole world was talking about it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah
Is it because he's a big man, though?
Because we always talk about,
like Miles Turner was saying,
it's like, because you're big,
you don't really get the ball as much.
You don't get to shoot threes.
It's not as entertaining.
Now, Belen Jokic, though.
But yeah.
That's what's funny.
It's known.
Like, that's known.
We talked about Jokic more last year
and to Perk.
Yeah, that comparison.
Perk, Rungan, DeWarsen. Like, Even when Giannis, when Giannis was going through
that 14 game and all that,
I haven't seen an
Embiid phase like that yet.
But he has the numbers.
It just seems like
noticeable. Giannis had his run
too. Giannis had that.
We said, yo, this man is on fire.
Or Dame. Dame had a crazy run.
Yes. Where it was just like noticeable like. Yeah like I haven't noticed. And Joker was doing his
thing too but also we saw the Nuggets who were comfortably in first place started to shut it
down get prepared for the playoffs obviously made sense they're going to win a championship
but that was the argument obviously Joker took a backseat to NB winning that MVP but now come the
postseason Joker showed you that he's the most dominant player in the league right now
I mean obviously you could say Giannis Katie all these other guys at a hundred percent that didn't happen
Nuggets won the chip it is what it is right now. Well, that's crazy because if you look at it Joker
Had the run where he was the best player and we all agreed that he had that run and then he won
Giannis we all agreed during that run
Was the best player one?
And b hasn't had that run where we can say man
You are the best player and you're going to take your team to the chip
That's the thing, but I think his batman compared to the others
Is not reliable james hardin was the guy he thought thought was gonna take him over the top be his Robin be his you know
You know take him over and he just didn't deliver that. Yeah, the funny part is that's what makes it bad
because on paper on paper
Who's actually better Philly or Denver?
Philly.
James Harden averaged 22 and 10.7.
For the season.
That's better than Kirby.
I mean, that's better than Murray's numbers.
Yep.
Tobias is better than their third option.
What I'm saying is by talent-wise, Philly would be better.
They just don't process.
That's why the numbers don't mean nothing.
It's all about putting your team together.
Yeah, put your team together.
Hey, hey.
You got Harden, the former MVP. You got Embiid, the MVP.
I know what you get now.
Come on.
We'll wait for that tomorrow.
We'll wait for that tomorrow.
For those that don't know, if you saw our USA vs. the World Convo in Vegas,
we're continuing that on Thursday.
We'll give you just a little preview of it.
What's today? Wednesday? I'm all over the place. Mr. B! Vegas we're continuing that on Thursday. We give you just a little preview of it
Let's go on the same I said for tomorrow. Yeah, I'm just saying this team don't even start on 18
Mr. B
Beat out Marcus smart Sorry, Sorry as you wrote you have come on man
Okay, let's keep this thing back on him be so we talked about from the six or so
But how much longer should him be trust the process with the Sixers first of all?
He ain't got nothing to do ain't gonna trade him to just like they gonna trade James Harden. Mm-hmm
right, it's
Cutting block. That's what at some point. They're gonna look at a team and say oh we need to get some form
Hey, by the leaf we won't get some form. We got the rebuilds. You start over and just start over
I mean cuz they've been fighting for her since he got there.
It was a full year? I mean, they got rid of everybody for this man.
They've been fighting for a minute since they got Ben.
So, we'll point...
He's only in his seventh year?
He missed his first two years because of an injury, but he's playing seven seasons.
So, that's always...
Michael Carter Williams.
Drew.
Drew.
Ben.
Him. Jimmy. Jimmy. It's a lot. Drew Ben Him
Jimmy
When he got rid of Ben
That was always a problem with me
I've said it when he got rid of Ben
It's over
Because you have a guy
They can say whatever they want about us
Offensively defensively he was not a liability
No he wasn't
He was not a liability What the, he wasn't. He was not a liability.
What the fuck was the distance
between James Harden
and the final game
and Ben Simmons?
At least Ben Simmons
made sure his man
wasn't going to do nothing.
And he played hard, too.
We were literally arguing
and telling the man
he didn't have heart
and his job is to get
the best player of the ball.
We would never have said
that to Rondo. Right? Okay. We would never have said that the Rondo
Right. Okay. We're not talking about like Magic Johnson when Magic Johnson he had Kareem
He did his thing when Kareem wasn't there. He had to take over that that Embiid has been at the whole time
Yeah, so, you know, I mean like I look at him for the defensive present that helped Embiid that shut down things
Well, I'm gonna go one Embiid's I go five.
That's what you lost.
When you lost that, you lost that important part of the game.
Go from Trey Young to whoever he needed to go to.
It's really hard when you have guys like that on your team because you don't value them the way they need to be valued.
I think that was the immaturity of Philly then too.
And I don't think Doc Rivers helped. I don't think
Brett, was it Brett Brown?
Was it the coach? Brett Brown.
I don't think they helped that situation
knowing that Ben
wasn't necessarily supposed
to be the scoring guy. So
even in that possession, the one
possession fucked their whole organization up.
One possession. One possession.
Yo, past it. It's like Diable. If Diable finishes the play, we ain't even got Fuck their whole organization up one position one possession Oh
Passed it and passed it's like table if Diable finishes the play we ain't even got nothing that we discussing
It's like why he don't get the blame for up. Yeah, I passed it to you, bro
I should have laid it up but don't that shit you lay it up you finish it
But then it's like that one play had everybody looking at Ben Simmons crazy
Even Joel Embiid which Ben had his back the
most. So it just looked crazy. Now it's like the curse of the 76ers back on again.
So we're going to talk about, and I just want to relay this that we got our expert research
team working with us. Simmons was 58 and 52 without Embiid and B was 99 and 57 without
Simmons. So just take that for what it's worth.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. The fuck does that mean?
That he played better without Ben? No, that ain't no fucking stat
Just keep it pushing. Oh, no, fuck that. I don't even do that. No, this is this is not sports We're not doing that bulls. That's what we're not doing that dumb shit. He's
Ben Simmons short center Ben Simmons
When he didn't have in bead it was fucking Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris
When Ben Simmons didn't have I mean when the MB didn't have been Simmons he had James Harden Tobias Max
Yes, still a fucking team. So we're not gonna do that. Oh squat. All right. All right. Hey, that's cheating too
That's a good point. You said I tried that bullshit. That's a fucking good point too. That's fucking cheating. Sometimes we make sure
you're still paying attention. Okay.
You get an A for paying attention.
You get an A. That ain't a stat.
That ain't no fucking stat.
But they also said six were three and one
in playoffs with Simmons, but not in D.
Three and one. Okay. With Simmons?
Yeah. That means neither here nor there.
But we're going to talk Harden in a second, but let's talk
Tyrese Madsen. That's a here nor there. But we're going to talk Harden in a second, but let's talk Tyrese Maxey.
That's a good-ass stat, though.
Three-one.
United back here, they don't like to be stumped.
So Tyrese Maxey, names have been brought up in trade talks.
I think the Sixers have been pretty diligent that they're not getting rid of Maxey.
So do you guys agree with the Sixers trying to protect Maxey? I think Nick Nurse has said that he wants to look to really build around Maxie and Embiid moving forward.
Not to knock Harden, but...
I mean, from what
we've heard about Maxie and little
things from just coaches and players
that he really goes hard. They've got to
tell him to take time off.
When you're talking about
paying players and
building around players, you want to
build around players who's willing to get better, who wants to get better, who wants to be, you know,
great. Like if I have, you know, Maxie, and then I have someone who's a little bit talented,
but lazy, I'd rather put my money in a guy that i know he's
gonna come out here every fucking day and and try to you know be great versus someone who's just
naturally talented but lazy yeah and he's young too so yeah you could definitely build around him
yeah i like him a lot he remind me of young gill man without a big like if Brandon Haywood was like fucking Joel Embiid
That Washington team is different because Maxie's going downhill every time he gives it James Harden's in his way
When James Harden's on the floor, he goes to the corner, right?
He doesn't have the ball
but when he's in there by himself with Embiid that game changes for him you see him go to
From a 15 point game to 25.
And he gets to do his thing.
Literally, when you go back and you watch Gil's footage,
a lot of guys couldn't stop him because he's going full steam ahead
every time.
That was usually the reason why we couldn't guard this nigga
because we don't know what he's going to do.
Maxie, the same way.
He's going full speed.
He's either going to get the foul.
He's going to stop and pop.
He's got a whole different array of
his game that can be expound upon
if James Harden
is not on the floor.
Now you move James, we don't know what they
got. If Tobias,
like Tobias was saying, he's like,
you motherfuckers traded me. Who you going to get that can guard
one, two, three, four? Who can get these
rebounds? Who pass?
Who shoot?
80, 40, and 50. You're not going to get nobody like me.
So you got those three pieces, and no distractions.
I think it's a different team.
So building around Maxie, if you do happen to get rid of Embiid, I'm not going to say
you're safe, but you still can compete because you got a three-level score that mimics
somebody who's a legend. So if he can stay in the gym, like Gil said, if he's a gym rat
and he does have that motor to just really be in there like he was, it's a whole different
game for Philly. They got a good piece.
Maxie's only 22. He'll be 23 in November. He's a young boy.
That's what I'm saying.
He got a lot of time. Give him B, about two more years, he can go. And'll be 23 in November. He's a young boy. That's what I'm saying. He got a lot of time.
Give him B about two more years, he can go.
And we just build around him.
How old was you when you got yours?
25?
When I got what?
Your Washington deal.
21?
Damn.
I came in on a second round deal.
But you was young for your age, too.
Mm.
Shit.
I was second round.
So I only had two years then.
So you were 23 when you hit the mark.
No, I came in at 19.
No, I'm saying the Washington mark when you 06, 07, 08, the three-time All-Star, you was 20?
25.
25.
Shit, young boys.
So let's talk about Harden just a little bit.
So MB's future may be in doubt for now,
but he's hopeful he can change James Harden's mindset on one and out of Philly.
Harden reportedly only wants to go to the Clippers,
but Sixers president Daryl Morey is in no rush to move the former MVP.
During an interview Tuesday with 97.5 The Fanatics' Anthony Gargano,
Morey had this to say about any potential Harden trade.
If we don't get either a very good player
or something that we can turn into a very good player,
then we're just not going to do it.
He also added, all I know is that we either are going to move him
for a player that helps us win now,
we're going to get assets that allow us to get a good player in the short term,
or we're going to continue to wait.
So Harden opted into the final year of his two-year deal,
will be unrestricted free agent next season, not eligible to sign an extension, based on that criteria.
So when we look at Harden, Gil, has Harden played his last game with the Sixers?
I mean, fuck, it sounds like, I thought these motherfuckers was best friends.
I thought they was brothers from another mother.
Like, I'm serious, right?
Like, just last year, the year of the two-gold eight, best friends, hugging and they just partying. Wasn't they just partying? That's what I'm serious right like just last year the year to go to a best friends hugging and they just party
Wasn't they just partying? That's what I'm saying. So what what happened?
This is business a party is a party. This is the ghost. You're gonna go weird to the point where y'all can't talk
Yeah, I don't I don't get I don't get these two I
Mean it seems kind of like the dame situation where it's like look
Yeah, we know
you want to dip but you're under contract and unless we get some shit that we want back either
your ass gonna play here or you we're not moving like we're not just finna get nothing because we
cool still business i know but it's still business us. Drinking, doing all that, having fun, riding in a jet together, doing all this,
and y'all can't.
I mean, that means other teams ain't interested in it.
No, that means something going on.
Something going on.
What's going on?
I mean, because you look at the Brooklyn situation.
Harden goes partner with his homie.
Then he leave his homies out to dry.
I'm out.
Going to Philly.
Got better strip clubs. Huh? out, going to Philly. Got better strip clubs.
Then we get to Philly.
I mean, maybe I was in my championship.
Then we get to Philly, right?
We get to Philly, I'm with Embiid, oh he the homie now, but he ain't as cool, but he cool.
He ain't as cool, but he cool.
I could deal with him, but now it's like, well what now?
You want to leave? What happened? Y'all can deal with him. But now it's like, well, what now? You want to leave?
What happened?
Y'all fucking each other's bitches?
Something going on.
Damn.
This is Gil's Arena, as you know.
With him and Maury?
No, I'm talking about him and MB.
Maury too, but it's like when you look at the dynamic of those relationships between GM, player, player, player,
what the fuck is going on where y'all don't have that?
I mean, for what it's worth,
MB, during the Fanatics party last week
that y'all might have got invited to,
I did not.
You know, Michael Rubin was cracking.
Told Rachel Nichols
that him and Harden are good friends.
They're going to remain friends
no matter what.
Obviously, he wants to try
and convince them to stay.
But regardless,
if Harden dips or not,
they're still going to be tight.
But that's what I'm saying.
It's like, well, we're such good friends that you want to go to the Clippers.
Home.
I'd rather be enemies.
Home.
I just want to go home.
Are we doing the home thing?
Is that what we're doing?
I just want to go home.
Everybody want to go home?
Everybody want to go home.
I mean, this is it.
Westbrook, back with Harden, with PG, everybody home.
I mean, if this is the last run, let's end it at home.
But then you're still with the Clippers.
But if you're the Sixers and now the Clippers are making a trade offer,
and PG and Kawhi are not in that, and you want a superstar,
is Norm Powell, Morris' inspiring contract, that's not going to be enough, right?
Unless you get a third team involved.
We got some flies in here, too.
You already know.
It's summertime. No, I told you, that shit, that irritates me. Yeah We got some flies in here too. You already know This summertime no, I thought that shit that irritates me. It takes me to so I cool. God damn
I'll be out there. I'll just let you give me some chopsticks about the Miyagi this bit
You gotta close that dough. It's fly season. It is fly season out here in LA for you guys, but
if more instance is like look unless we get a
Good haul back for this former MVP, right? if Maury Stantz is like, look, unless we get a good haulback
for this former MVP, right,
then you keep your ass here
or we can wait until the trade deadline or some point
during the season. If you harden out,
how do you approach that?
I mean, we already
seen what they did to Ben Simmons.
So, I mean,
you know what I mean?
We already seen what they, you know, come,
you got, you know, is that a water bottle? Backyotomy time. Yeah, we already seen what they, you know, come, you got a, you know, you got, is that a water bottle?
Oh, that's a cell phone.
We already seen that.
We already seen the media drag what they did, so, I mean, you still got to move careful.
You know, likely you will want to be moved in the summer so you can have a fresh fucking
start.
Yeah.
Right?
That goes on both sides, right?
You know, Philly, if you want to have a real chance,
you want to make the trade in the summer
so you can use the fucking pieces now.
They learn your plays.
They're in training camp.
You're making sure they're good
versus waiting during the season.
Season started.
He ain't playing.
You're doing this.
You're losing.
Then you make a trade.
That's not how a fucking basketball works.
But we can't find nothing.
You can find
something what we're not just taking anything though like teams ain't just taking anything
you ain't taking nothing right now if you ain't playing okay well then you and then you ain't
playing like we can play hardball that's they sending a message that's what i feel like all
the gm all this all this we gotta man whatever hey the cap gonna keep going well we'll just sit
here and pay that yes i mean it's only 35 million left, we'll just sit here and pay that. I mean, it's only $35 million left, so we'll just sit here and pay that.
Y'all not remember, he's black.
He black.
Huh?
He black.
Okay.
We ready to quit our jobs.
We ready to quit our jobs.
What are you talking about?
You tell me.
Sit down.
Shit, I've been in that motherfucker with puffy jackets and shit. Bro, for real. No, you don't. We're talking about you tell me
Puffy jack shit
They don't Be go for tea talking about guys soon as he won first round
This is the person with Vegas god damn it not
Bro, you got him on tears, man. You think going to complain? Oh, no, don't send me home.
No, he ain't going to end it like that.
Like I always say, there's the bag, I'll wear the nag.
And if you can get the bag with no nag, then...
They sending a message.
They telling Dame the same shit.
Like, listen, we move you when we ready.
Yeah, I feel like Tim's going to be on that.
For what?
They sending a message to the young kid.
Man, sit.
Sit.
Sit until we pay you all this money. We ain't get what we wanted
We finally found something for you
Like LeBron was when I was moving it I'd be playing bott bottle bottle top and everything
Bottle throwing and every day I'd be on the sideline and join my goddamn life man their question for y'all. I mean
One to win a championship that's where his heart's at
How much pressure is on the Sixers to get a good return in this deal? And if the the option is oh hard to sit your ass at home and we go
It's important be try I'm, are we going to be trash?
I'm just saying, we're going to be trash now,
or we're going to get a good deal.
Where do you draw that line?
We want a good deal.
Teams want a good deal, man.
First of all, they're just throwing out money.
They're going to want a good deal.
I'm not just giving.
I'm not just giving.
There's nothing you can do, man.
Yes, I can.
We're going to sit there and play.
There's nothing you can do.
We're going to sit there and play,
because I write the check.
The problem is this.
You got one guy who already tasted MVP.
Okay.
If you tasted MVP, if you already tasted MVP, right?
Okay.
And then I'm not playing.
And I'm not playing.
And you start off the season 2 and 15, there's no MVP for you.
You already naturally mad as fuck.
You're right.
You don't like me now, period. You're right. You don't like yourself. You're not good
It don't matter. You don't like you don't like me no more because I done fucked up your back-to-back
Absolutely back-to-back what the MVP?
That's all you plan for is MVP. You're not playing
They just say you went into it for a joker MVP MVP chip like it's a bill that I'm taking
Well, I'm also now we're building them's a build, and I'm taking away your build. Oh, so now we're building now.
What I'm saying is I'm taking away your build.
You have a legacy, too.
And it's momentum, too, B.
Yep, I'm fucking up your momentum.
You're talking about the momentum.
And if James Harden's not playing...
He's not going into the season this year winning MVP, MB.
We don't know.
Like he said, if he starts 15-2, that's the momentum for MVP.
They already talked to MVP.
I mean, y'all just talking.
That's not going to happen.
Let's talk for real now. We're not talking about the B about bucks. Huh? We're not talking about the books. All right
In the air it's like don't throw that out there, but I'm just saying
For the East you don't have Greek in him right for these. Yes
So whoever has the best percentage at the best time. So if I'm starting
off the season, Grieg is 15-2
and we 2-15 because me, I
ain't playing. You hot.
They're not starting off like that. I'm just saying, but you hot.
But I'm messing up. Even
9-7 though. I'm messing
up your shit. You're fucking it up.
You're fucking up my shit.
Listen, we all said they gave
him this year MVP because of what? They felt bad.
They're not doing that. They're not feeling bad
this year. I know, but what if
he come out and average 13
and 35?
Okay.
And he's number one in the East.
That's MVP.
We're not saying he'll win it, but he's going to be in the conversation again.
Milwaukee?
But if he's averaging 35 and 13 motherfucker he probably the MVP again
You think you think heart or envy can go back to back? I don't know
No, I feel like what after what happened this year
He's gonna have to average like 40 for the 35 35 13 only if Joker ain't having the same type of well
This was a fail bad for you
Season this yeah, he might know he might understand
that too you feel bad for me now i gotta show y'all motherfuckers would have really what's up
senate and i'm doing it without james harden now he ain't gonna do that without james harden
but that's the point now if i'm in six years i gotta get so if we lose hard and we gotta get
something you gotta do it now you come in and fill that void why don't portland just swap
portland can't we be talking about that they about that. They need to swap. Portland for James
Rodgers? If I'm Portland, no. I got
a young boy. I got a young boy who
go hard. But he ain't improving, though.
I got a young boy that go hard. But then you could
probably move him again to the Clippers.
You're talking about a three-team with Sixers,
Blazers. Why don't you just swap?
Them three-team bullshit
be confusing me, man.
You know the Blazers are going gonna be salty if they feel like the
Sixers get something better than
James and then get some get something from the Clippers or something cuz he wants to go to the club PG
Now I'm easy. You know I'm saying I'm saying he's a man or something like it can work PG to ballman James
No, no easy to the Blazers
James to the Blazers.
James to the Clippers. Dame to Philly.
Dame to Philly. But if you're the Clippers, do you want
to do that? Yeah. Why not?
I'm asking you. I can tell you right now.
But do you want James and PG
and Kawhi? You can't keep
off. No, no, no, no, no, no.
Clippers right now.
I don't want to deal with none of that shit.
Clippers right now are trying to have a lineup where all four of them are in.
I mean that's fine.
With Russ, Russ.
That's fine.
That's fine.
Every team that's stacking up.
James, PG, and Kawhi.
Hell no.
They are having a small ball lineup.
Nasty.
Nasty.
No way.
No way.
Nasty.
No way.
That look like a freak knit tee. Oh my God.
Rusty, look.
Rusty and James can play.
That's why James was coming off the bench, because Rusty and him on the same court don't
make sense.
No, they was playing together back then.
Because KD was there.
They had Stoffelopfer.
That's Nasty Hoop.
That is a waste of two years.
Hey, bro.
Stoffelopfer.
Hey, man.
I might get tickets. For what? To go see that- Did they get James here? That is a waste of two years. Hey, bro. Hey, man. Hey.
I might get tickets.
For what?
To go see that? To get James here?
All four of them?
That is nasty.
There's no retreat.
That's going to be like the Rockets back in like 0405.
Where it was one down, two down,
three down, four, no.
It was, you had
what, Camby was, no, Camby was
over, no, I don't know if Camby was over there, but they had
Mucci Norris off the bench. They had
Stevie Franchise, they had
Gatino, they had
Tractor Trailer, they had
Maurice Taylor.
Maurice Taylor. Yeah, yeah, they're all one-on-one
guys. Nasty Hoop. Nasty. Nasty Hoop. Kawhi. Yeah, yeah. I're all one-on-one guys. Nasty hoop.
Nasty.
Nasty hoop.
Kawhi.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'll get rid of Kawhi.
If you will keep PG, Kawhi go to Portland.
No way.
He not moving again.
He not moving again.
He done.
No, he done.
Them L.A. dudes are staying home, bro.
You got all of them L.A. dudes.
Nasty.
L.A. dude.
Playing for the Clippers.
All of y'all.
Yeah.
Nasty.
They wouldn't even win the Drew League.
Damn.
That team ain't even winning. Stand on it, B. That team ain even win the Drew League. Damn. Damn, don't it be.
They ain't winning the Drew League.
Right now, that team right now,
they're not winning the Drew League.
Kawhi and them, I'm like,
they gonna be healthy.
They're not winning the Drew League.
That's a tough statement.
Frank Nitty ain't having that shit.
Frank Nitty not having that shit.
Frank Nitty ain't having that shit. No way. Not Nitti not having that shit. No way. Frank Nitti ain't having that shit.
No way.
Not on my watch.
No way.
So let's talk about Clippers.
Let's hit the Clippers a little bit.
I'm just playing.
Knowing Harden's track record like you know it now,
knowing he's going to be an unrestricted free agent,
unless you can make some type of gentleman's handshake under the table
and get a long-term deal,
would you risk trading these pieces to get Harden essentially could be one year they didn't know one
year it's he's home he's home I understand I'm just telling he's home so
it where's he gonna go he comes here he gets to be in LA go to Sam strip club
all day what he got a wedding clothes on still cuz LA um yeah but if he buy it out where's he gonna go from here why would it like a player that comes so they've been in these
different cities when they come to la la kids when they come to la they got 30 something plus
tickets like it's they coming home to so when you get here you don't want to leave. Right? He gets to L.A. He ain't like Russ.
8 mil.
They gave him everything they wanted.
Like, we talked about 8 mil.
That's all they actually had.
I talked to Tyrone Lou.
I said, how do you like my man Russ?
He's like, I love Russ.
He said, the energy Russ brings.
Man, keeps everybody going.
There's no dull days in practice He's gonna come hard. Yeah, like what you see in the game is what you see in play. He gonna go hard
It keeps everybody we love him like all we had was this Bradley was like shit
All right bill said the same thing about a time with the Wizards and Russ coming. I mean so it seems like
Proof is this like so if this does happen and they can get James and Russ on the team.
So it's like.
Two year max.
Like, is this it though?
Is this the last.
Is that a chip?
Or is this still the Clippers curse?
You're like, is that a chip or is this the last we're going to see of them?
Nah, listen.
It ain't no chip.
It ain't no chip because what ends up happening is.
Are they willing to turn into a team?
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Like, is this the last run?
Kawhi and PG technically are the only two players that know how to play team basketball.
Okay.
Right?
Russ has the concept of what he does.
Like, he's a team player, but he don't know how to actually be effective in team concepts.
James Harden doesn't really know what a team is.
If he said, I'm going to play like Klay Thompson, then yeah, but I don't see him doing that.
But did you see that with Russ when he went to the Clippers?
No.
This season?
He had his money.
It felt like he started to embrace that though.
You need a system player.
I'm saying it felt like he started to embrace that just a little bit more than we've seen
in Russ.
But him embracing that
he has to turn his engine off.
He has to learn how to have his engine going full speed
and running full court, running through,
cutting back doors, slicing,
like a do-all, a little-all dang,
or you know how those guys was averaging 18 and this,
and you didn't even need to call plays for them.
Right, right, right.
That has to be those two players.
They got to be those type of guys that I don't need to call plays for him. Right, right, right. That has to be those two players. They got to be those type of guys that I don't need to call plays for you, but you're moving
so much, you're cutting your back door.
Or Jason Terry.
Yeah.
On that championship.
That's the Russ being Russ that we always talk about.
Tyrone wanted him to be you, be you.
And that's not who Russ is.
It's like you said, a team-oriented system guy.
And then you look at Kawhi and PG, they've never really had a
gelling moment as two team
players playing enough with each other.
I still don't even see them on the
floor together, and they don't
look like teammates to me. They look like
two separate individuals waiting for
plays to be called for them, so
they can do their thing. And then they don't got a
floor general. They finally had John Wall
on there that could have got the team in the system,
but he never played enough.
So it was like, you got Russ,
who was a traditional point guard at times,
but he's not, like you said, a team guy.
So how you going to gel that team together
when you got those four?
Even with Harden, you're saying, now coming to the mix?
Because Harden need the ball.
He need the isos.
You know the problem with that?
Like, when you tell someone, and this is the problem,
when you tell someone who's been great at what they do, right,
and never learned how to develop the all-around skill,
if I say, hey, James Harden, I need you to play more team basketball,
in his mind, he thinks, all right, I don't take no shots.
Yes. And I get lost had i only had eight points i was past that's not what the fuck i'm talking yes
yes right i mean do you nigga yeah do you still but you know instead of forcing this there's a
guy right there wild cutting off the cutting off the ball you know you they they face guarding you
set the pick yes for mb since they're face guard you they're not gonna help with it
But do the tangibles like what's the kid? Uh, uh
Brown Bruce Brown
But I'm not gonna nod the other one the white boy Christian bro Chris Chris around
Russ can do that. Yeah an average 20 run the court Scott
Slide like you can do that without physically holding the ball all the time.
Yep.
You turn into one of those type of players that changes the dynamic because you are a team player.
You don't need the ball.
You slide and cut and still being effective,
running the lane.
And then James Harden,
you over here taking down picks,
you know,
here it is past.
You become more deadlier versus just,
all right,
get the ball. Kawhi sitting there it but the mother the scariest Clipper team was
before they even signed Kawhi mmm and Paul George people were more afraid of
Lou Williams and Pat Beverly mmm cuz Lou was getting that thing off Pat
Beverly Lou Williams coming off the bench. That team was a playoff team. They had no superstars.
Lou Williams
averaging 21 off the bench.
Team
had no names.
If that game was close,
Lou was doing what Lou did, but that was a team.
Montrez.
Montrez.
The last
few Clippers can't say they were better than that team.
Well.
Right, Kenny?
Shit on paper, but...
On paper?
Yeah, reality.
It was...
Pull it up.
Yeah, pull that up.
It was the 2018 team, maybe?
Was it 17, 2017, 18?
Yeah.
Detroit was 19, right?
Before Montrez went to the Lakers.
Yeah. So not Lou Williams. That's when he averaged 19. So not the team with CP and Jamal in them. 1718 yeah, they could look the tray was 19 right before Montrez went to the Lakers. Yeah
So not Louie. That's when he ever got the team was he being Jamal on him
But that you know, hold on. It's right after this that team those things was good, too No, I think Houston that he was only 48 34, but let me see but it was a good 48
Which one had bias Harris Lou Williams Gallinari, Montrez, Harold Schmidt, a young
SGA. How many games they win? That team was 48 and 34. How about the year after that?
But that Blake Griffin and 49 and 23. Yeah that team. This was the first year of Kawhi
and PP. This was the year before. Go look at the teams with Blake Griffin and CP and
them. Them teams are stacked. But I'm it with this team right turn on to see 17
members have some good teams they saw it they always not solid like a crisp I
wouldn't when they added over the head of Kawhi and what's in them you like
with Lou Williams trez and that oh my god they're gonna be good yeah they won
one more game the Clippers are they won one more game with Kawhi and the
Clippers are cursed that's nasty one with one more game. The Clippers are cursed. They won one more game with Kawhi and... The Clippers are cursed.
That's nasty.
One more game.
One more game, you added two All-Stars.
One of them was top 75.
Less than 60 games.
I'm just telling you.
One more game.
So, one more thing on this Harden and Bede situation.
Now, obviously, the Heat have been adamant about trying to make a deal for Dame Lillard.
We've talked about this on the show previously.
But if the Heat can't get Dame,
should they consider trading for Harden
or even Embiid?
I'm just telling you.
Who are they going to trade?
What assets?
If Embiid tells you right now, I'm one out.
Cool.
You say, keep your big ass right here?
Oh yeah, let me give you James Harden.
I'm going to give back Hero.
Damn.
Already got Maxie!
I'm gonna give back Hero and I'm gonna be like, oh yeah, I can win the championship, man.
Like, what the fuck are you getting back?
What does Miami have?
What does it mean? Put Maxie at the one, put Hero at the two?
I mean, what's, I mean, there's still 20...
May not be enough.
You're still young, but I'm just saying you're still young
You still I'm just saying it may require three teams
But just kind of winning championship and I'm in beat and you just gave me but what about me?
Well, you ain't winning the championship what you got now, but what I'm saying is why so why not?
So maybe so maybe take them all out of James hand and put it in time. You're in B. You don't
Yeah, do you try to make a move give me to Miami to your point?
I'm lazy. I need to get into an environment in the culture. What are you talking about and be going to Miami? Yeah me
But you have to figure it out it's gonna be taking a man hero
Probably not do a bad hero. Give me some a hero. Give me the young boys Joe bitch. You hide me hot. Yeah
Me fucked up man
Miami fucked up when they only let one person go to people two guys go who was it was it was a Gabe and
That's it. It's true. It's true. So soon. Yeah, but I mean those guys started now. We'll need them dog
They're not we're not integral pieces for negotiating purposes you do but they didn't have a bread and have that much
Monetary value no no what I'm saying you supposed to sign them back and then use them as a trade.
Oh, for higher money.
Versus just letting them go.
Now you don't have those pieces as bargaining chips.
They still got Taylor.
Like, so I would have signed them back 30-30 and then boom.
Hey, hey.
I got Max.
I got your tough point guard.
I got this.
And then I got Hero.
Here's these three.
Give me that.
You have better negotiations.
They still got Lowry, Hero, Caleb Martin. They still got picks and
Leveraging BAM and the young guy they just picked up Jovish and Jaime Hocker
All of them niggas gotta go cool
All of them gotta go now. You got four players. Yeah
We're going to the G League again.
We're going dipping to the G League.
Bring them niggas up.
You say, we got three years.
We got three years.
We got three years.
You want me to work out the Vegas or Summer League?
Bring me off the bench.
I got a good 10, 15 in me.
Nigga, Hassam going to be starting.
That's how that team happens.
I'm picking up 94.
Huh?
I got a good 10, 15 in me.
We get us an M-D and a Dame for that.
Nigga, we win? I got a good 10, 15 in me. We get us some MD and a Dame for that. Nigga, we win.
I got a good.
Go, team, go.
It's like we on the bench.
Pick him up.
That's all I need.
Pick him up.
I got six fouls.
I foul some niggas for you.
Hey, Bobo, go get a different foot.
That's all you got out of this.
Bobo, go get a different foot.
Go get her gram.
Go get her gram.
Get her TikTok.
I need the gram.
Get her threads. I need the gram. Get her threads.
I need that OnlyFans.
So who do you see getting moved first, Harden or Day?
And this is the last question in the subject, but we still got to talk about the Sun and Draymond.
Harden.
Harden.
Harden?
Yeah, probably Harden.
Do you think they'll be involved in some way, shape, or form in a trade with three-team, four-team trade?
Yeah, it has to be.
Would they both be moved?
It's going to be blockbuster, shake-up-the-league type shit.
I hope so.
It's been like four days.
Actually, no, it's been like 45 minutes since we had some real major shit go down the league,
so we need to keep this thing moving.
We need that.
Now, let's head out west.
So let's talk about these Suns a little bit.
Continue to dominate this offseason.
They made two more moves this past weekend.
Let's start with the first one. On Sundayay the suns added bobo to the roster signing the former magic forward
to a one-year deal the legend my new son my guy so when you look at bobo what do you think bobo
will bring to this sun squad i'm just going to assume the same thing he'd been bringing to every other team disappointment
I'm just saying I really believe in him like I need his talent
You can't say you believe in
What do I expect I expect failure
Damn, yeah, like he's gonna do what he's been doing but his talent
Unstoppable talent nine and but he ain't using it so you ain't been able to play
They coach is not playing on them. Then now we got to ask ourselves What the fuck is going on behind the scenes where this man is being treated every time you ever had a coach hate on you
Every coach, okay Gilbert you then you should understand. No, I'm just saying every coach,
I can see one or two. No.
Every one you go to. Because the coaches
talk to each other.
Orlando,
who he got over there.
We've been coached by him. No, but it's
coming from Denver, going
to Orlando. When you put that
nigga in the game when you was playing with the Orlando
Magic, he was a game changer. There wasn't a time when he was or he wasn't doing his fucking thing
So what is he and I he wasn't in the scenes. No, it's who's in front of him
Who is the guys that have to play that's in front of him? That's the question. It's like why is he not playing?
Well, we got to play the young fellas
Is a younger fellow that's the point when you are a young fella and you got the guy telling me gotta play the young fellas. I had that. He is a younger fella. That's the point. When you are a young fella
and you got the guys telling you you got to play the young
fellas. We're
talking about a guy. What do you average in college?
21. 21 and what?
9. 21 and 9.
And three games. But the janky foot. Three games.
But he goes where in the draft?
Second round.
There's a reason. No, it's not.
No, it's not. You cannot say that and believe that, Gilbert, because you win second round.'s a reason no it's not it gotta be no it's not it gotta you cannot say
that and believe that gilbert because you win second round i was 13 it don't matter but you
have a position but you was you you was you and so if you allow that narrative to continue with
young fellas just like if their son he was a lot into the draft and they say, well, we're going to pick him second round because he's Gilbert Arenas' son.
He's going to follow in his footsteps.
That's an unfair narrative.
Who said that about Bobo following his father's footsteps?
It's not about following in his father's footsteps.
It's about having an unfair narrative, period, regardless of what it is.
Have you ever heard of his work ethic?
Yes.
What do they say?
Who can say that he has
a bad work ethic other than... Who says he has a
good one? Who says... Yes. Who can
say that he has a bad one?
Who says he has a good work ethic? No, who says it?
When you get drafted,
there is not players
going to the fucking beat writers telling
them, hey man, he don't work hard, he don't
this, he don't that. That's coaches.
And if you're a coach, why would you talk
bad on a young player at any
given moment? For any reason.
You don't go talk bad about
no player. Period.
You don't put no negative narrative out
on a player. But what if it affects him?
But what if it don't work? He'll learn
to work hard. How? Because he's
around motherfuckers who work hard. Why?
But he's not doing it now. So if he's not around motherfuckersers to work hard that means he's not the only motherfucker that don't work hard
That means everybody should not play why I just him what hasn't he did what you mean?
Okay, if he was alive, he played in Orlando if he was a lottery pick
Meaning he was supposed to be a lottery pick that means he tried out for this groups of team
Even if he say he don't work hard,
why do I give a fuck what you think?
Because that's objective.
Why the fuck do I care what you think?
That's a fucking opinion from somebody.
Just like T-Mac.
They used to say T-Mac looked like
he didn't play hard because of his facial expression.
And he used to hate that shit
because he was like, man, this is my fucking face.
And this is my fucking swag.
It don't mean I don't play hard.
What I'm saying is you have an opinion.
I'm a different coach.
I don't give a fuck about what your opinion is.
I get to see him for myself, right?
So when I'm seeing him, you want him to play hard.
If he's going hard.
What's going hard though, Gilder?
What you're saying has no merit to me.
Meaning you didn't want him, sorry for you.
I'm going to inherit this.
So that means when he's
going to work out,
and they're saying he ain't working hard, no matter what you
say, that means it's true.
It's not true.
What are you comparing his work hard to?
What are you comparing his work hard to?
Do you hear about it?
He's 7'3". He's not going to move as fast as a 6'7". What are you comparing his work?
Seven foot three, but do you not gonna move as fast as a six seven? Oh, but is he always in the gym? Do we hear that? He's in the gym? Do you know do we know it?
It was always in it. No, of course. No one knows
By myself niggas know my homie need to publicize that say look I'm in the gym by myself. With my homie. I don't need to publicize that shit.
Hey, look.
I'm in the fucking gym.
Hey, hey, hey.
I want everybody to know I'm in the gym.
No, go out.
Man, that shit is unfair, man.
Because Bobo is going to look at you and be like,
nigga, I'm in the gym all the time.
How do you think I got good?
Show me.
How do you think I got good?
How do you think I got good?
I have to shoot jumpers.
Here's the question.
Obviously, we know the Suns were trying to fill out that roster if that was the issue
Risk now bring a bobo in it's one year deal. Come on, man, but that's the thing though
We can say about white Howard Dwight Howard and all these other guys. They didn't play hard. They didn't work hard. Come on, man.
Kobe Bryant said it.
If 30 people say the same thing,
that means they all getting the fucking same tweet
and they just saying shit.
Niggas was saying shit about me
and didn't even fucking know me.
They didn't even fucking know me.
If someone says McCants has an attitude
and every time McCants goes into an interview
with an attitude,
I'm going to be like, oh, that's it.
You're poking the fucking bear
in psychology 101.
When you take psychology class,
no, it's not. It's me.
You're poking me so you get the response
that you've heard about.
We heard McCann has an attitude.
Let's ask him a stupid question so we can get his fucking ass
riled up.
He got a bad attitude.
Why don't you ask me a smart question?
Why don't you ask me something about question okay right okay as me son about all the mates hey hey hey Bobo and we're gonna work out for
third minutes now I don't think I need to do that I was happening Gil you put a
narrative out if it didn't happen it's a bad narrative if it didn't happen if it
didn't happen talking about draft we can't prove it draft't happen, it's a bad narrative. If it didn't. If it didn't happen. You talking about draft work?
We can't prove it.
Draft work out.
You can't prove it.
What would it say, draft work out?
You can't prove it.
He was turning every team off saying, I'm too good.
I don't need to work out for you.
He was too good.
Obviously, he's not.
He's not?
Obviously, he's not.
Obviously, he's not.
He's not good.
I didn't know.
He's not good enough.
No, you're not good enough to be.
You think you're too good not to work out?
Every top three player that comes out of the draft does not
Train with other guys they train on their own. They work out on their own. They say I'm not I'm not working out with them
I'm not going to the draft all of them do that. Yeah, why is it when Bobo do it? It's like
Man don't you talking about man that shit is whack man that he deserves a chance
It's like everybody else
If I have the number one pick and I want to work you out your set now, I'm too good for that
He wants to play with this team just like
I don't want to say with them. I want to train with them. I want to get fucking pick you they didn't why cuz the
Narrative nigga the same narrative that you push it you say narrative everybody puts it. Oh, man
I could he does he that nigga if you are
Three if you're seven foot three and you 21 and eight
21 and eight in three games. You give me a shot play play nine
21 and eight in three games
It's flip I janky foot, but what it is Bobo play nine games at Oregon a 21 and 10. Yes
So what's the narrative
What's the narrative so the narrative Kyrie what's the narrative
Where did we go number one? No, what's cool? Did he go number one? What's cool? Did he go to? Number one. Duke? Duke. Who's that Duke? Coach K has nothing to do with that. So, what if Duke is a private university?
Oh, my God.
When you get hidden by a private university under a legendary coach, I don't give a fuck.
Kyrie got picked number one because of his game.
I got shit on Duke players.
They don't ever want to get out.
They don't ever want to get out, right?
So, I know for a fact that you can hide shit.
You can hide shit. You can hide shit.
You can hide shit.
So
Bobo didn't get
picked because he's sorry.
Nobody ever said he's sorry.
So if Kyrie got
picked because he got game and Bobo
didn't get picked because he what?
Because he's lazy. Okay, so it ain't nothing to do
with his game. So it ain't got nothing to do with his game. So you're changing the narrative. How am I changing he what? Because he's lazy. Okay, so it ain't nothing to do it again. They say doesn't we got another game?
They said so you take it an error. No, how much is there because I read that game and
Bobo is lazy. That means that both of these niggas got game. The only difference is the narrative
Or the narrative
We're proving the narrative narrative meeting Kyrie doesn't have a narrative cuz he's protected
No, yes, how we work some careers. I'm right. How do we know? How do we know? How do we know? We're proving the narrative. The narrative meaning Kyrie doesn't have a narrative because he's protected.
No.
Yes.
Kyrie works.
Kyrie is.
How do we know?
How do we know?
How do we know?
How do we know?
How do we know?
First of all, Kyrie works his ass off.
I'm about to say.
I'm about to say.
The bobo don't work.
He's in that gym. He's in that gym.
Because we filming, right?
No.
Everybody knows Kyrie's in that gym.
Because y'all in there with him.
I was in there.
You was in there with him.
I was in there with Bobo.
I seen Bobo. I've been in there with Bobo. I see Bobo.
I've been there with Bobo.
What are you niggas saying?
I've been there.
I've seen him.
You see Kyrie.
I've seen him.
So now what I say don't matter.
I don't have to see him.
Come on, man.
Y'all fucking up the narrative on this young kid.
He deserves a chance, man.
He's getting chances.
He got a chance.
But what happened?
What did you just say?
What was his chance in Denver? Who the just say what was this chance in Denver?
Why did they not play him
Joker was in front of him literally
We can't play bowl bowl. We can't play bowl bowl. We can't play bowl bowl because Joker here.
Joker?
Let's move him.
I can play him at four. Let's move him.
They didn't.
I can play him at three.
They didn't.
They didn't.
And we won a championship.
They didn't.
They got rid of him.
They won a championship.
Why would you have to get rid of him?
You traded him for who?
Hold on.
Aaron Gordon?
Hold on.
Is he better?
Is there more talent than Aaron Gordon? They told me Aaron Gordon didn't work hard. There's more talent than Aaron Gordon is he very what it hold on is he better does that more talent in Aaron Gordon they told me Aaron Gordon didn't work hard. Did he there's more time in Orlando in Orlando?
Yeah, they told me the same soon and I know who worked
I know the guy who worked with all of them guys who work with Bobo Markel folks all these guys
They were hey man and Gordon thought he was better than what he was a muscle work hard enough to do all that
That's a lie. That's a lie. Because I played with him in Orlando.
And he was in the gym all the time.
I'm not talking about playing with him.
I'm talking about what he was doing in Orlando.
He was in the gym all the time.
That's cool.
That's cool.
In Orlando.
Cool.
So they traded him, right?
And I think he changed his mindset after he got traded.
You think he did what?
When he went to Denver.
He changed his mindset.
Yes.
So Bobo can't change his mindset in the Phoenix?
With a bunch of vets that are going to yo, what did I what was my original claim?
No, dad do I believe in it? No you said it's gonna be a failure
Gilbert you said a young kid gonna be on, hold on. So Bobo, four seasons last year, played 70 games, started 33, had career highs at 9.6 rebounds.
And they got rid of him.
Okay, so if I gave you, how many years?
That's crazy, man.
Four years?
Four years, but this was his, he played more games this season.
If I gave you four tests, and you got Fs on four tests and if someone asks me
what do you expect?
I expect a fucking F.
I expect an F.
What I'm saying is if you
I expect an F
because that's what they're giving me.
Put your son in this predicament
and say you're going to expect the same
shit. That's all I'm saying.
Put your son in this category. You're asking me expect the same shit. Hold on. That's all I'm saying. I'm saying. Put your son in this category.
You're asking me what do I expect.
I'm looking at what you've given me.
You've given me four fucking X.
No, he hasn't.
I expect it.
But if you give me something more, that's good.
But you're giving me fucking X.
That's what I expect.
I said he has all the X.
You're smart as a motherfucker, but I'm expecting a fucking F.
You can say 3Fs and a C+, Gil.
C+, B-.
To his town?
Bro.
He said Fs, Ds.
Like, this is unbelievable.
We're talking about a 7'3", demigod.
This nigga's unbelievable.
Oh, he doesn't work hard.
He doesn't.
It's like, yo.
All right. What the fuck? Hold on. Hold on. What the fuck? God this niggas unbelief. Oh, he doesn't work hard. He doesn't
And you don't know the nigga personally you don't even know the nigga no crazy about him Hold on now and we're talking about media. Let's talk about the media. We're talking about the fucking national media who crushes God
They don't fucking know they just run with this narrative
Oh, you know, it must be true. Everybody says it. It's not fucking true cuz you don't fucking know the nigga
He might be going through some shit. Oh
We don't fucking know. Oh shit. Oh now the narrative changes. What was he going to? Oh, we know that
Oh my bad. Now we got to go back and be like I apologize man. Fuck that get a nigga a fair shot
Give him a fair shot from the beginning. We did. No you didn't
Yeah, you heard your name yeah, why fix you hear your name
Guaranteed fucking top five. How the fuck do you drop to the second round? What were you doing
personally? Stop telling everybody else
this narrative. I don't give a
fuck about your narrative.
What was your narrative?
Put yourself in the situation.
I was talking shit. Yes, that's why.
He wasn't talking shit, though.
He wasn't doing what you were doing.
He wasn't doing that.
I didn't talk for fucking five minutes about some bullshit.
Go ahead.
I was supposed to be a top 14 pick.
My behavior got me in the second half.
Not his game.
My work ethic got me started.
My work ethic got me most improved.
No.
My work ethic got me on the video.
No, Gilbert.
No, Gilbert.
You can owe my work ethic out.
What are you talking about?
That's not true.
Six o'clock in the motherfucking morning.
You had opportunities. Fuck, I didn the motherfucking morning. You had opportunity.
Fuck, I didn't have no opportunity.
You had opportunity.
I was the 15th.
You got to play.
How?
What do you mean how?
How?
You got in the game.
How?
Beating their ass in fucking practice every day.
You got in the game.
Beating their ass in practice every day.
Gilbert, you got in the game.
Every day.
We can see how many minutes you played.
You got to play.
40 games I sat on that motherfucking bench watching a whole bunch of sorry niggas play. So Bobo didn't. game we can see how many more you got
bitch watching a whole bunch of sorry
so bobo so sorry niggas play so bobo
can't say the same thing bobo can't say
the same thing cuz he ain't got in the
game say he can't why can't you go what
you mean he ain't done it he didn't have
the opportunity opportunityity be able to see plus in the seventh foot lottery pick average nine
Fuck out of here still talking
Fuck out of here 22 22 is made three all-star games by 22 you got players three all-star
What is that being up? Who else is 22?
73 got players three all-star what does that mean who else is 22 seven three who else is 22
you got the opportunity
three like look look yeah
so we standing on bashing players we don't know and don't know they like it
Say the niggas got a F when you don't know his fucking situation about why he not plan or is playing
With some sit you hurt you hearing that shit you're running with something
That's the same shit with Zion. Oh, man. We hear you
Eating with Zion. Oh, man, we hear you ain't eating whatever. You just eating. We don't know what Zion's going to do.
We know what kind of talent Bobo
has, and we see the production.
So you're saying he's trash.
That's what you're saying.
You're saying Bobo is trash.
Don't say it, Gil.
Don't know Bobo's family.
He's saying Bobo is trash.
We got all his talent.
You're saying he's trash.
Okay.
Have you ever seen a really beautiful girl?
Uh-oh.
Right?
She's beautiful.
Got a bad attitude.
Right?
She's not attractive no more because of her fucking attitude.
Bobo is the pretty girl with a bad attitude.
He had a great game.
Can't the pretty girl change her attitude?
If she ain't changed it, then she's the girl with't the pretty girl change her attitude
Can't see change she and can she hash no my nigga can see she oh my god It's been four years
Obviously it can take a nigga ten years to change his attitude. It can take a nigga 20 years. It's never too late to change
Yeah 20 years. It's never too late to change. In the NBA, it is, though.
If you're not giving a nigga
an opportunity to change,
nigga, what the fuck is y'all... What's the point
of talking about him? Wait a minute. Hold on.
It goes back to the original statement.
I can't believe y'all standing on this. What do I expect?
I can't believe y'all standing on this.
What do I expect? What I expect
is what I've been seeing.
Until he changes that narrative. Until he changes that narrative. We're slandering. Until he changes that narrative.
We're slandering a player, bro.
Until he changes that narrative.
We're slandering a player.
How long do you have to change as a player?
Like, how many chances do you get in the NBA?
A lot of players get a lot of chances.
Mike Beasley had a lot of different chances.
How many different chances you gave him?
You gave him a lot.
I don't hear y'all niggas talking.
He still got the same chances.
I don't want to hear that shit.
What are you talking about?
You're acting like he's out of the fucking league.
No, because Bobo's getting the unfair treatment on the narrative that he did not create.
He's still on the team.
He's still playing.
You asked me.
Coaches have came out and said Bobo has a bad attitude publicly.
I didn't say he had a bad attitude.
I'm asking you a question.
No one.
No one.
I said work at it.
How many players have coaches came out say bobo
Just don't fucking work hard. That's why he ain't getting the opportunity. I heard that before how many I've heard how many?
I heard that how many have them come out publicly no no no, so why are we doing it right now?
This is pride are we doing this is personal for you?
Why are we doing it right now?
You ask the question you said F do a failure. Hey, I didn't ask the question
He asked the question you said failure you know, no he asked the question you
You're trying to over talk no, I expect stay with the nerve
What do I expect if I have sex for my girl in six days and somebody said, what do you expect tonight? Nothing.
Nothing.
I don't expect shit.
I can't say I expect all of it. That's a trash example.
She's your girlfriend.
F, F, F.
She's your girlfriend.
I expect nothing.
Why the fuck would she be your girlfriend?
If you're expecting no ass and she's your girlfriend, she's fucking somebody else, nigga.
What the fuck are you talking about?
She could be doing her monthly. What do you mean? That's a girlfriend fucking somebody Oh, I think Bobo is, what the fuck was that? Say this again. Do it again. Where will Bobo bring to the Suns?
Oh, Bobo.
Oh, I think Bobo is going to be all NBA this year.
All NBA.
He's going to be an all NBA player.
Good.
We good?
No.
We good?
No.
Huh?
Because it's easy to say Bobo can be an integral part of this team.
All NBA.
He can give us some pieces.
He can give us nine and five.
He can give us nine and five.
A one-year player that we just signed for one year can give us nine and five. That give us nine and five a one-year player that we just
signed for one year can give us nine and five that's what we need no i hope wow what's so hard
about not trashin them no no generational talent no no i'm supposed to say no oh yeah he gonna
all right you said failure that's the first thing that's about the failure shit because we ain't got
shit wow he said that because of the lap the first four years. He hasn't done it
I don't and that's just and that's fair
But now he is on a team that he has a chance coming off of his best season
Okay, whatever we want to feel about it. All right, man
I understand over criticizing pop for the last four years. What do I expect when he get wimpy trash?
fucking trap by y'all logic
Fucking last four years years I fucking trash
hey my girl ain't gave me fucking
pussy in four days
trash nigga she not gonna give me
nothing you ask same
fucking logic you ask me what do
I expect un-fucking-believable
like if someone asked me
hey tomorrow what do you expect from
McCants to go against everything I say
I expect that.
Nigga, what?
That is an inspection.
What are you talking about?
I've been agreeing with you the whole show up until this point.
But you're asking me what do I expect from the guy.
I expect it's called consistency.
Consistency has been this.
That's what I expect.
And that's not failure.
If he gives me something better.
That's not failure, Gil.
He's still in the NBA and he still produce the numbers
He's not giving you zero and zero. He's not giving you zero and zero. He's giving you nine and five. That's not failure trash
Wow, I don't know a basketball you watch it compared to who trash compared to who you are he's supposed to know
No compared to who himself
Compared to himself himself. Okay lottery pick 20 and Compared to who? Himself. Compared to himself? Himself.
Okay.
Lottery pick, 20 and 10, a lottery pick, generational talent.
That was how long ago?
A generational talent.
Five years ago, it was 20 and 10.
A generational talent.
Five years ago for a 44th pick where he was taken.
You still not giving him any love?
No love.
Going into the summer, you were a top five pick.
Five years ago.
Your attitude, everybody's like,'s are we good on this dude?
Why are you slipped to 44 and when he slipped to 44 we were saying this is a steal like I'm Bonnie Bates, right?
What did I say?
Mm-hmm. Now if he went out there averaging to
Ice filling but how but how is he?
Cuz the average suit on me he felt yeah, he got room to grow
He got room to grow
You up
Room to grow because he's a first-year play this only summer league this nigga been in the league four years
He still don't got room to grow
That's what you call a most improved player don't you get most improved
player is by actually improving wait till the summer then don't you get most improved player
by actually fucking improving in the fucking summer then god damn but when you got niggas
saying you fucking trash you're asking a failure you're asking me right now. You're not asking me after the envy
You're asking me right now in today's time. So all I can go is today. I can't give you some
Hey, bobo gonna be most improved player. I guarantee your poor
Your portable ball
I'm in your corner my nigga. Oh, yeah, if you're watching this pull up to gills are underdog
I go for the underdog. Hey, I go for the underdog and I want y'all to I go for the
I won't let you about to run up in here like I'm just
Just so we understand
His leg you big-ass or not just that we understand we understand I'm going for the underdogs. Let's go
We are underdog fantasy. We move under just so we understand I fucking dare you
Read that to the king
Read it. You want me to read it read it what I say to the king?
So Bobo just got waved. Come on. If anyone could pull out his dominant side is you you Rui Bobo ad Reeves
Let's go 80 safety net and create his own shot. Who is that to?
LeBron Raymond Why. LeBron Raymond James.
Why would you read that out loud?
I'm reading what Gil said.
Just in case you think that I'm against this, man.
You just called him a failure 16 times.
Of right now.
Of right now.
You asking me right now?
I can't project this motherfucker's going to be talented.
So what was that, last week?
You tweeted that?
So you changed from last week?
Cuz he didn't go into the Lakers to now. He's a failure. What if he went to the Sun? What did I say you?
Heard he was lazy as fuck
Thought it would be great if he played with you because you will bring out his dominant side
Hmm now he's a failure because we to the Sun cuz nobody over there
You change okay, he there can bring out his dominant side.
So KD can't bring out his dominant side?
Booker can't bring out his dominant side?
Gil will work in the front for Bobo.
Bradley Beal can't bring out his dominant side?
You're talking to some shit that hasn't happened.
I'm here.
I'm talking about what has happened in the last four years.
Nine and five.
I don't expect shit.
Nine and five.
That's what I expect.
Nine and five ain't shit for me.
For Bobo?
If we come out here and have nine and five, what would you be saying?
On a one-year deal, I'm getting paid to come in here with Aiden, with Bill, with Booker, and KD.
And I'm going to give you 10 points a game with
five rebounds on that team.
That is a bonus.
I'm getting an
integral part and I'm getting production
because it's 10 points in which I wasn't
going to get nowhere else because who the fuck
else we going to get? We don't even have the
room to get nobody else. We got Eric Gordon.
We got Okubunote, whatever that nigga name.
Josh Jacoby. Like, who do we got that's going to score?
Are you going to give me 10 points?
Ooh.
Bobo going to give me 10?
Ooh, 10 points.
Oh my Lord, I need it.
Because look, look, because this... How much is Bradley Beal going to give me?
Don't care.
A lot.
He's going to give me 18, 20?
Mm-hmm.
18, 20.
Booker's going to give me what?
25?
KD's going to give me what?
25?
27, yeah. Ayton's going to give me what?? 27 yeah, Aiden's gonna give me what 17 18 if he's there. Okay, so how much does Bobo really have to give me?
I mean off the bench. I mean, I always always in he's a bitch
Give me 10 and 10 lottery 10 and 8
A lottery pick
I'm already calling him a fucking failure
A lottery pick, a top five pick, bench player
I like bringing Anthony Bennett back in the league and be like, hey, hey
He pulls the give me fucking 20 and 10 because he went number one pick
People to give me 20 and 10
Settle for 10 No, we settle for 10 cuz we already got another one year. We got killers on our team
I have is nine and five and they don't want them. What the fuck are you talking about?
So why did nine and five I decide them they don't want why did they sign them because they don't want them Bobo?
23 if
Check average nine. Why if you are we like, oh, he's a bust. He's horrible.
Why are we if-ing Chet?
Why are we bringing Chet in here? Because we know
you know Bobo's better than Chet.
And if Chet averaged 9, you would be like,
oh, that's a bust. Chet
ain't even played a game yet. I know.
So what are we talking about? So if Chet starts
the whole fucking season and he
averages 20 and 10, that is
nothing in comparison to what Bobo Opportunity had.
He didn't get to start a whole fucking season.
Well, if he averaged 20 and 10, you would look stupid
because you said Bobo's better.
I... He is better.
If he averages 20 and 10 and he starts the whole fucking 82 games,
there is no comparison because Bobo never had that opportunity.
Why? Why?
It's been four years.
Now we're saying why.
Now we're saying why. Why?
Now we're saying why.
You're saying... Can we go to the next?
What's up, man?
You're saying...
What pick was Joker?
Here we go with this.
Like 41st?
41st, right?
He did what he had to do
to become a starter.
What does Imani Bates do?
J. Mark Green?
Right.
Yeah, they put themselves...
Did they have coaches
hating on him?
Oh, you're saying
his own coach hates on him. Oh, you're saying his own coaches on them
Did you do a deeper coach?
Did he have narratives out there about whether he played hard or if he out here buying?
Bags and Gucci and he in the club. Come on your niggas put the fucking narrative on the nigga, man
Everybody buys bags and Gucci, but everybody got swag and show up when they want it, man
What you talking about? He get to grow.
Everybody is young.
Like he was talking about with Ja.
He young.
He young.
He young.
He young.
He going to grow from these mistakes.
But then all of a sudden, the narrative ain't, hey, man.
This motherfucker dumb.
He dumb.
Ain't no narrative saying that he's dumb.
Who said he was dumb? It's the narrative saying he young.
He young.
He going to make mistakes. You know, when he he was 24 I would made mistakes like this too so
damn we just gonna bash Bobo it's Dan that's crazy how many years you're gonna
give bubble again before so if he doesn't play for as many years as he
does play hard if he doesn't play the. But he does play hard. If he doesn't play his sons. But he does play hard.
If he doesn't play his sons, are you going to say the same thing?
Oh, they just hating on him over there.
They didn't need him.
You're one of those guys.
They didn't need him.
You're hating on him.
They didn't need him.
I wasn't taught.
They didn't need him.
I wasn't taught the coach hating on me.
I was taught if I'm not playing, do something about it.
And I'll work you.
I wasn't playing 40 games.
Do something about it.
I taught my dad, these motherfuckers ain't
playing me. Well, keep fucking working. Alright, bet.
Yeah.
I mean, that's all you get. I'm supposed to just give
my daddy, Bobo, whatever the fuck
my daddy name is, Manute, I'm supposed
to inherit all these minutes
because of my fucking dad. Let me give you a story.
I have a son. I have
a son. You know what I tell him?
Create your own fucking name.
You give me your story, yeah.
Your own name.
You go out there and you play hard.
Matt Daugherty was my coach.
That's what's up.
Right?
You know what he told me?
What did he tell you?
He said, you'll never be like Michael Jordan.
Okay.
Because he never averaged 20 points.
Dean Smith never let anyone average over 20 points at this school.
You're no different.
You know what happened?
I was averaging 21.8 at that time. You're no different. You know what happened?
I was averaging 21.8 at that time.
He benched me for four games.
You know what my average went?
From 21 to 17.
You know what he said after that?
I fucking told you.
I fucking told you.
Okay, what's that got to do with ball?
It has everything to do with a coach
having a fucking narrative
and trying to prove a fucking point to break your ass.
It don't matter.
It don't fucking matter.
You know what the next coach did?
What did he do?
He came in.
He added on to that.
Do you know who that was?
Roy Williams.
He was the next coach came in.
And when he came in and said, let me finish.
I'm tired of calling you guys Rashad and Rashaun and Jawai.
Why can't I call you Peter, John, and Billy?
Say, because my name's Rashad.
Yeah.
After that, benched.
I had to have a private meeting with Coach to tell him,
hey, listen, you don't want my dad to come in here.
We need to have a real conversation.
So the riffs with your coach is different from what you niggas think
Because the shit is fucking real, but if you ain't never had the experience you can't really say it
You can't never say it. I've never you can't never the code
You've never had a riff with a coach. No, you don't know if Bobo's had his wrists with his coach and who's you've never had
Understanding with it what a play when you talk to a player you be like man, what's been going on?
Would you say man? Snickers been hating on me man. I don't understand it. a player. When you talk to a player, you be like, man, what's been going on with you? You say, man, this nigga's been hating on me, man.
I don't understand it.
I just want to play.
Ain't that what Zion say?
I just want to hoop.
There's more players that just want to have that conversation and just say, I just want to fucking hoop.
And now, if we as players are going to cut our players down and not give them an opportunity.
Hey, question.
Then we fucking lose.
We fucking lose.
Question.
Hey, yo, so how was your attitude during those four games?
Exactly what he has a riffle to cook. I have to cheer. I'm a team player
I have to cheer and you know what happened when I did get inserted back into the starting lineup
20 25 27 trying to bring my team back not my points back my team cuz we lost those three games
You say yeah private meetings with coaches,
right? Y'all niggas got
me up, boy. I'm just saying.
Bowl, bowl, I'm fucking
with you, bro. I teach my son,
and that goes for all you kids out there,
you can't beat
your coach.
Okay? You can't beat your coach. I beat my
coach. All the talking back, get
your ass bitch. Do your fucking coach. All the talking back, get your ass, bitch.
Do your fucking job.
The reason I've never been in a rift with the coach,
because no matter what
they put in front of me,
I did it.
You can't break,
I break you.
I don't break you
by talking back to you.
You say, Gil,
hey, you've been fucking up,
run five miles,
all right,
what time do I need to beat?
Yeah,
Matt Doherty was there.
You better talk,
you better, hey, go ask the U of A. I ran five miles every I bet what time do I need to beat? Yeah. You better talk. Hey, go ask
the U of A. I ran five miles
every fucking day.
Didn't say shit.
Didn't say nothing.
I don't need to talk back to you. I can just...
I beat you by just being great.
You sit me on the bench, sit me on the bench.
When you put me in, I'm going to do my thing.
There's no coach that's going to say, Gilbert,
talk back. Gilbert was a... No, my son. My never had to. There's no coach that's going to say, Gilbert, talk back.
Gilbert was a back.
No, my son.
My son don't say.
You ask anybody.
My son don't say shit.
Don't say shit.
You can't beat your coach.
You can't beat a rep.
You can't beat your coach.
I beat my coach.
You can't beat your coach.
He was fired.
Just who?
He was fired. You can't.
He was fired.
You call any coach right now in America that's recruiting my son, they're going to say his mannerisms.
He don't say nothing.
You can't tell if he's playing good or playing bad.
He's not going to say nothing to his coach.
He ain't going to say nothing to nobody.
He going to fucking play his game.
So again, if you're Bobo and you haven't proven to be a LeBron James shut the fuck up and just go out there and do your thing
Maybe that what I'm sitting for you. Yeah, I've told this story. I was sitting
Didn't play
The the the therapy therapist we had they told me hey, maybe you need to change your fucking attitude
Take this shit seriously you come in here with this goofball attitude
They're treating you like a goofball. How about take it seriously?
So you want this so I changed with their but no they had it they had them there
In college no in me. Oh, okay. So I was playing no games. I have one right I was playing no game
So he said that that's always change your attitude how you approach this building. So I'm coming no games. I have one threat. I was playing no game. So he said that that's always a change
You added to how you approached this building. So I'm coming here laughing and shit. It's not about your game
It's about your attitude
They don't think you serious to put you on the court and I think I changed that and I think that's what it is with
Bubble it's not like they just don't think he's serious about it about the game. I'm
Hmm. I'm telling you I wasn't because I changed that one week later
I got I got a chance to get in the game.
Because that's half of it anyway.
It didn't take me four years.
Because that's half of it, how you go on the court, too, is what you do off the court.
Yep.
40 games.
That's one of the biggest.
40 games not playing.
I changed my attitude for a week.
I started.
Rookie of the month.
Started the next year.
Just a fucking attitude change.
Looked at the game.
I didn't change my skill level.
Changed my attitude.
Yeah.
I looked at it different.
So I don't know what Bobo's attitude is,
but whatever it is...
You don't know what Bobo's...
Whatever it is,
I can tell you for the last four years
it ain't worked in his favor.
You can keep the attitude all you want.
It usually don't.
It ain't gonna work in your favor.
It usually don't.
I know.
It usually don't.
So that means...
So what do I expect? I expect him to keep the same attitude he He's had for the last four years in the same shit is gonna happen
We're gonna be talking about the same shit next summer bobo on another team
Mmm-hmm bobo and I'm rooting for you big
Big me too big fella
You see I try to get him like this I hit the block I hit the run James a fella You'll, I hit LeBron. I hit LeBron. You see, I tried to get him in the Lakers. I hit LeBron.
I hit LeBron James.
Big fella.
Gil reached out to LeBron.
Soon as he hit free agency, LeBron.
I'm rooting for you, big fella.
I saw the messages.
I'm not going to tell you what LeBron said because that's not how we get down on Gil's arena.
But Gil was advocating for a ball.
But LeBron appeared to be receptive to it.
I would just say that LeBron wasn't hating.
But that was fair.
I like how you approached it.
I wish I had a better attitude like that when I was young.
Like, just how, perspective of the game.
Like, you know, I love to work.
Like, I love to be in the gym and work.
But I think my attitude could have been, you know, should have been better.
You know, just focus on more of the game.
Like, I like what you said about what you teach your son.
Just focus, just let your game do the talking.
Because it's like,
it's real though.
Like, we can't control.
Like, they're going to do
what they want anyway.
Like, everybody's going to do politics.
Everything's going to happen
the way they want.
But if you just stay in that gym
and just locked in,
and that's what helped me at Oak Hill.
Like, me getting away
and being able to get up
every morning at 5 a.m.
and work and, you know,
be up knowing that I'm up
earlier than guys back at home and stuff like that.
So, no, that was dope, though.
Like, that was good.
That was a good way to think of it to me.
So let's keep this thing moving.
Last topic of the day, very spirited conversation debate.
That's what you get on Gil's Arena.
Remember, we're presented by Underdog Fantasy.
That was good.
Now, I respect all y'all opinions and perspectives.
Rashad, I see your side of it.
I definitely have a coach.
I mean, he had the shirt on. I could dare you and I dare
And you see the outcome
The chat don't speak for yeah, they're gonna say hey, I didn't know none of that shit happened.
I think every player has individual issues that they deal with.
Sometimes you get coaches that are assholes. That's just
a part of life. But to your point too,
you got to deal with it. You ain't going to
ever beat that coach, unfortunately.
That's just kind of what it is.
Especially for the younger generation. You got a coach you don't
see eye to eye with. Change
the scenery because
he getting paid, you not, unless you get the
NIL back.
But let's talk a little bit about Draymond and this Jordan Poole situation.
Seems like it should have almost been 300 days since the incident happened.
We're in fucking July.
Supposed to be minor.
You know, I wake up this morning feeling good.
You know, make me a little smoothie.
Next thing I know.
Smoothie.
I'm losing weight, Gil.
It's about to be the anniversary of the punch.
I'm losing weight. For sure. It's about to be the anniversary of the punch. I'm losing weight.
For sure.
It's about to be the anniversary of the punch.
We might have to do a function for it, make some cookies or something.
But the Draymond punch-up pool happened, like I said, nearly 300 days ago,
and the impact is still being felt to this very day.
Even though the pool went from the Warriors to the Wizards,
and it appears they've moved on, you really haven't heard shit from the pool side.
Draymond Green is still bringing up old shit in an interview
with friend of the program, Pat Bev
on his podcast. Draymond offers
more insight into factors that led to the one-hitter
quitter. I don't just hit people.
Dialogue, of course, happens
over time, and you
usually ain't just triggered by something
like that fast,
you know, to that degree.
You know what I'm saying? Like, this is a team, you know what I'm saying? Like, ain't nobody on my team triggering me, you know, to that degree. You know what I'm saying? Like this is a team,
you know what I'm saying?
Like ain't nobody on my team
triggering me,
you know,
in an instant.
You know,
we know stuff
that you don't say
amongst men,
you know what I'm saying?
We,
you know,
we know,
you know,
things that you have
to stand on.
Wow.
So the clip got the attention
of Jordan Poole's dad,
Anthony,
who responded with the following tweet.
I'm going to stand on this.
That is some BS.
JP was his guy, and he avoided me all last year.
He's a soft-ass bitch, and I'm standing on this, and he didn't apologize to me and my wife.
So he lame, and me and him can meet any time he want.
So Draymond saw that.
He saw a lot of tweets today.
We're going to, you know, hopefully have time to get to all of them.
Also, that's more for KG.
But Draymond responded, that's so cute.
It's impossible to avoid you in arena for a year, champ.
I got to get my family from the family room every game.
And stop using those words.
They usually don't go well amongst men.
So first and foremost
Let's just start with why is Draymond
Still talking about the pool
Low-key he's basically said that's the type of talk they got your son fucked up
They found me
Watch the word It sound like some deep, deep old red. You want some of this too, old man? He better watch some words.
That's what got the little nigga dry.
You can be next.
You want some of this too, old man?
That sounds like he was triggered.
In an instant.
I'm predicting what the fuck he just said.
You've been triggered.
Calm your sensitive ass down.
We all grown. You talking about certain things you don't say man
listen man but you call somebody a soft ass
bitch right we don't know I'm just gonna be
honest but look that's what the dad
said to Drake but that's what I'm saying
it's just them the words that look
like when you look at we've been
in the triggered
triggered in an instance
he said ain't nothing
just triggering then you can say to justiggered in an instant. He said, ain't nothing, nigga, just triggering.
Ain't nothing you can say to just trigger me in an instant.
Something said was triggering in you in an instant, my nigga.
He triggered you.
And you knocked his ass out.
Just stand on that shit, nigga.
Danny won't get to say it.
He just said, hey, watch your toes.
Pops, Pops, chill the fuck out.
Right.
That's what I'm saying.
Like, stand on it.
Watch your toes.
And Pops would have been able to
account. If Pops really felt that way,
he would have said something to Draymond every
time. You should have been said something.
You should have been said something.
You're at all year.
The father's tweet,
it wouldn't make sense because
we understand that he has
a family, so he hasn't been at Players Lounge.
Say something.
I've been in that word family room something Don't say nothing at all say nothing at all it ain't that awkward
I mean like I mean what happened here right all the police security can't get out of here
I just I mean I just didn't that's the same place
Question about your both father somebody one hit or quit or your child and you got to see this person in the family room
As long as something happened
Come on, you know big your son man
How big is the dude
Draymond green
He'd be really play football being being hit Elijah. I'm gonna get him up out of here
Hey, son, listen, you better stop fucking with those
If you keep't fight them
Shut up
What's on the sucker punch
Lakers bumpy
They say Bobby was the player cuz he was we don't see he sees night. He hit your son get your ass in this
Just Trump. I got this folk. I got this. Hey, wow get your ass in this trunk. I got this folk. I got this Hey, wow, get your ass in this trunk. We're gonna ride up on these niggas about to ride up on him
I mean, it says that's father was 65
Well, I'm probably shit about niggas is young now. Do you know what I'm saying?
You we really expect his daddy to go. I mean what they he should have said something
He should just put him to the side yo, let's go talk for a second.
Keep your hands off my sons.
I'm not saying they need to have a physical altercation, but how are you responding in that situation?
Mr. B.
Because it seems like they kept it quiet, and now we still got to hear about this shit in July.
I like to think like Michael Cardione.
Get him.
Get him. He's got to go. I'm with you. He gotta go.
He gotta go.
He gotta go.
He just gotta go.
I'm with you, but I mean-
He just gotta go.
He gotta go.
My son got to stand up for himself.
Why you messing with this, man?
First of all, I'm going to look at my son like, hey, man-
What you say?
You got $123 million, right?
Well, we going to put that in jeopardy.
I'm just saying, you got $123.
You can hire whoever you can hire whoever you?
Hi, I just pray for me. I can tweet this what we do. I can tweet it Abigail
rewind
Play it again
Play it again. We see this shit on film. Mm-hmm. The world is watching this shit play it again
Now this ain't on film
Yeah, it's different's different now I think the
dash would have just just talked to him though during the season though he could
have put him to the side because if he older wait you say 56 like this form to
the side just won't to the side I just want to know what I mean instead of like
you had all year but I'm sitting going through the same like today at the end
day I mean I understand that's some crazy shit I really think as we really
break down though just the dynamics of that situation the shit that we're not factoring in because you gotta go to that family room every day
So there's a walk by us. So he's awkward breathing the same air
That's why the father's tweet wouldn't make sense to me because Draymond has kids and he has a wife
So he's going in that players lounge right every single day pick all the sides up
So do you not play with his kids out? Do you make it even to me? Not one of your kids
I you're not one of mine? I
mean
When is it when bring a little bit here?
That's funny, I don't know I mean, but yeah, I would have been said I would have been said something I wouldn't wait
Would you oh, yeah, I would assess I mean as the pop if that's the case
So I'm gonna say something now because my son's traded. How about this? Let's try this one
You get in this situation in the locker room and your daddy got to say something for you. Yeah, that's what it's different
That's what I'm gonna ask you this but you were there as Draymond is the very he the older 30 plus you the younger you do
Yeah, but I'm not saying it got to get to that
All I'm saying is though you can you can pull to the side and say and have a conversation
Yeah, this is my father. I mean my father's gonna say something. I mean, I mean
I mean, I mean, that's the same thing
My dad would your dad would probably do if you were younger getting in the fight coming here
Right my my power is that but ain't nobody gonna do no putting hands on me though like that but I'm just saying is he can pull him
to the side have a conversation with your teammate as a grown as gentleman
yeah gentlemen I'm in here every day I see you all the time every holiday
knowledge you like and this is like like that I see with like I'm so we still
talk I mean you're in the NBA come on y, y'all. You're in the NBA, and we got a problem in the locker room,
and my daddy got a cold.
Let's just say, hey, what's up?
If they had dinner before, like Thanksgiving dinner,
like Draymond was the guy.
He was over at the crib, and they used to be cordial, right?
Then Pops is like, all of a sudden, after this punch,
ain't no conversations.
We're walking by.
That's at that point. This like this is a Michigan Michigan State number one and
this is why they should be able to have a conversation I get what we trying to
say but realistically my daddy called you and I say on my behave on my on my
behalf how you looking at me how you looking at me how you looking how you
ain't nothing about call it we just wanted to each other because we're in the same family.
Yeah, and we're in the family room.
This could just be a conversation.
I'm not looking at you different because Pops ran up on you because I can't control Pops.
I mean, shit, Pops is part of it.
Pops don't run up on you because he want to. I'm not asking Pops to do that.
I'm not asking Pops to go say something to Draymond.
Pops is like, I'm about to say something to that nigga.
I can say if Pops ain't you, you, let's go.
Because I'm sure. And I'm going to sit you two down, and then can say it because that's you you let's go because I'm gonna sit you two down
And y'all gonna talk about what's going on and I'm the middle person I get that but my daddy
Calling in on my behalf. He didn't
Make me look weak as fuck right now, but you said call it
Everything now
motherfucking that's not I mean because no because they could just be going in the family room. Nigga, I ain't gonna throw me in everything now. For your motherfucking... That's not... I mean, because...
No, because they could just be going through the family room.
And it might be people on the street that just might want to get...
Might want to get that Draymond just in Milwaukee.
Just because of...
But we saw that.
You know what I'm saying?
So what's the difference?
In the Milwaukee game where he got into it with the fan.
The fan told him, we're giving you a pass for the Georgia Bulls.
That's the father.
If you're gonna step in, you are stepping in as a mediator.
I'm sorry.
Not a nigga throwing gas on you.
We just said... But we did that. That's what I said. It's not a mediator. It's a father. He's stepping in as a mediator. I'm not a nigga throwing gas. We just said but we did know
That's not a mediator. It's a father. He's that right as a father, but you might have
My son and him Tim and his teammate got up. I'm gonna sit both them down. What is the problem?
Y'all look this is y'all gotta sit here together. But this is what I'm saying. They had all year to do that
Yeah, so the tweet yes don't make sense
But what I'm saying is why say the tweet when you could have said all this all year like you could have sent them down
Because there's that definitely before then y'all had drinks and y'all went out to dinner before I have family
Yeah, like, you know things with the families around so why you just didn't do it during the season
You could have just set them down after practice or whatever and be like
Even a pool's dad responding now. This is July right?
It's so they but I'm saying we haven't heard shit
from that family.
So now you got to see this clip still on social.
It almost seems like Draymond's egging it on even more,
saying that this was a build up.
You want to fight, so he going to keep that up.
I mean, they're always going to bring it up.
I mean, you know, until next season.
And then they probably won't bring it up anymore.
She is.
Woof.
I mean, there's no reason to bring it up anymore.
But it is awkward.
He going to foul the shit out of that man.
It is awkward. Tell your daddy, shut up. I mean, well, actually, to bring it up anymore. He gonna foul the shit out of that man. It is awkward.
Tell your daddy,
shut up.
Well, actually,
my bad,
because they're going
to keep doing
the anniversary every year.
No, just because
it came up
after the nigga was traded.
Like, for Pops
to say it now
is weird.
Then Washington
asked him too, right?
You talked to Draymond?
Yeah, they asked him.
He didn't respond, right?
Pool got us just
stealing the next person
to ask him.
Pool got to come on here, man.
Pool just got to
come on here, man. Hey, Pool, for the next person to ask them full gotta come on here Who just got a come on here a pool for a next person asked you not they asked out man. No fall
You got to take off man, you got to get a win that's hilarious you got to get away you got to get away
Yeah, well this year he will this year. I think I have a good year
Teammate you got to do one of the media people
Just one that nobody likes soon as he say such a
It be like you dream on knocked out the reporter and then they say the reporter my oh, that's the knockout
We've talked about this before so I think think the thing that makes it fucked up,
Rashad, me and you fighting, that's actually a fair fight.
That's one thing. We can probably overcome that. We'll figure it out. We'll respect each other as
men. You sucker punched me.
It's a different, it's a fucking different
mode of response.
Wait, it wasn't a sucker punch.
Gilbert. Gilbert.
Push. Get out my space.
Get out my space. You in my, you just walked all. Get out my space. Get out my space.
You just walked all the way in my space.
Rule number one.
I don't know whose dad is teaching who, but do not ever come into my space without your hands up.
If I push you out of my space, bro, just back up.
I expect.
No, ain't no I expect nothing.
If I push you out of my space and you run back up, I think you're going to punch. No, because you're my teammate and I'm giving you to. No, ain't no I expect nothing. If I push you out of my space, and you run back up, I think you're going to punch.
No, because you're my teammate, and I'm giving you grace.
My nigga, back up, man.
Nah, because that conversation had to be.
I know.
That conversation had to be, bitch, that something.
Nah, it wasn't.
It felt like Doughboy and Ricky.
Something had to be said, like, man, get out of my face, bitch, that something.
Man, back up, man.
Nah, nah.
I'm talking before the back up.
Nah, before the back up.
Before the back up, though.
Make me come. They was on the line. Trigger work. Right, before the back up Before the back up though
They was on the line
They was talking about I get more pussy than you
Nah
So why haven't it been disclosed with what was said
Why haven't Draymond said
I think Draymond don't wanna say it
Draymond don't wanna say it
Cause it was petty
He don't wanna tell the world what the fuck the nigga really said
Cause it's fucking petty and we all
Don't look at him like nigga you hit him because of that
We know some round what is that?
Gotta do it a check or some with that or a movie to come out and tell us what the fuck is saying
What did you say to?
Y'all know y'all got trigger words that somebody says that shit to you in the tone
They say it'll make you snap now
The second thing is though after the punch if we watch that video again
teammates were very reluctant to get involved which either leads me to believe that they heard what was said it was like damn you
Deserve to get banged for that or whatever the fact of it, but it was definitely like oh, I'm nobody saying what was said
But my point I mean nobody was rushing in from just what we know about players, right?
From us. We're looking at like damn. He snuffed him right if that was your man's right and
Your man just got dropped you going after drama percent
Unless I don't got no man's on the phone. It's not one person went in his defense. I know these niggas fuck with me like that
Because clay what clay if that was Steph, Clay going to jump in, right?
We're going.
Both of them was like, at least a grab.
At least a shoulder grab.
Everybody's like, I ain't see nothing.
They said they ain't see it.
Everybody watching these two, boom.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Hey, can I get some water?
I think everybody was shocked.
Everybody was shocked.
Everybody was looking like, oh, shit.
They said they ain't see it.
That's what I'm saying.
We see them seeing it.
We got the tape.
We got
But the fact that nobody's we all if there's a fight we all go after the most aggressive person
Right and nobody well you have to make
Nobody get him up. So it's like him up get him up, but I'm saying it's like what are we? What are we missing here? What was said so bad that the rest of the players like I ain't getting that
That's what I'm saying. We need to know here? What was said so bad that the rest of the players are like, I ain't getting that.
That's what I'm saying.
We need to know what the fuck was said, man.
It had to be bad.
It had to be bad.
It had to be something.
It got to be over a chick or it got to be something, bitch.
Yeah, you got to be. Mark.
I know you are, Mark.
Duke shooter.
You a Duke shooter.
You a motherfucker.
You be fucking niggas.
You gay.
The way he worded it to his father, we can just look at the father.
You sound just like your son. You better watch out. That's what got him
Walking in the one some tall man. No
All right now it's time for my favorite segment of the show we got mostly fans on deck that's when we're almost done
Mmm, but my great great question of the fans I don't care about their proximity to the finish of the show as much as just really getting to connect with these fans.
They've been dropping good questions in the chat.
We also got to talk about that Draymond and KG situation.
We'll probably hit that tomorrow with the fake tweet.
Damn, KG.
Elon Musk got involved.
It was accounts getting suspended.
It was a rough day for basketball.
So first question is from DK.
It's for you, Gil.
Are you the most famous person named Gilbert?
Yes.
Gilbert the...
Gilbert Gottfried?
Yeah, for Gottfried.
Are you more famous than Gilbert Gottfried?
Yeah, hell yeah.
Gilbert?
Hell yeah.
Who would give who buckets?
I mean, I'm going to give him buckets.
I mean...
That was up all night, boy.
Oh, no.
USA, up all night.
Whenever I go to Gibbs... Gilbert? Whenever I go to Gibbs and night boy. Oh, no USA all night whenever I go to give
Whenever I go to gives and I put Gilbert in it's all him. Hey, what's eating Gilbert great?
What other Gilbert's are we good? We only know one Gilbert Leonardo DiCaprio Gilbert great. I already know
I'm just saying Gilbert Gottfried probably I don't know more famous than you nah
Yeah, y'all both try to get a table with Delilah who get the table good at the lightless
So cut me I mean, all right
Barbie cuz I mean red carpet event probably him
Right. Yeah, they do regard free. I think passed away. So rest in peace to Gilbert Godfrey, but oh then I'm the most famous one
Yeah So you definitely get the table, Gil. He's the most famous Gilbert ever. Ever.
Damn, you're looking at Gilbert Gottfried, dude.
We can't talk about shit on this show, man.
R.I.P. Gilbert Gottfried.
He's a legend.
He passed away last year.
So you're getting the table now, Gil.
Yep.
Winner by default.
Most famous Gil on the planet now.
All right, question number two is from Chris Lewis.
Who was the one player that brought you joy to kill? So who was the one player it brought you joy to kill?
So who was the one player it brought you joy to kill on the court?
Like you enjoyed embarrassing his family.
I don't know.
I know he got one.
Mine was David Wesley.
Wow. Okay. He has I supposed his little ass up
His little ass up. You did Wesley. Hey, what's for you? Get that big him and Luther head you guys be
Put the niggas down in that damn dungeon down there smell like pine or I think to me anybody in the class of 08
He's right through everybody I was number one, so anytime.
Who was that, Drew DeMar?
Everybody. Whoever.
Isaiah Thomas was in that crew too?
2008 class.
If you graduated 08, yeah, you were right here.
Playing.
Oooh!
I taught y'all.
How about you?
I love to play.
I mean, I just love playing against the Lakers okay you know
I know my friends we're watching that game hmm but like a player himself Oh
shit oh eight or the Madison Square Garden torching up in the Madison Square
Garden yeah what who made you who made you do this yeah I think massive for
sure though I don't know players like I don't really have beef with, like, players, certain players.
You had a list, bro, in your blog.
You definitely had to have a list.
You had a list of players.
When you started going off, you had a list.
I'm going to kill this nigga.
You remember the list itself, like, I had a lot of, I mean, our draft list.
But, you know, most of the players that's drafted are big men.
So it wasn't really no personal personal okay it was no personal like you know my class you know you got tinsley um
we got tinsley we got tony parker they were more like friends you know you know i won an nvp
all-star game tinsley's one give me give me that rock man yeah but like that 60 wasn't like
personal dan williams 55 against Aaron like yeah like that 55 verse now
It looked personal like them says like personal. Okay, maybe okay the LeBron shit look personal probably Gary Payton in
Your paper you're up to the show
Let it be like when when cuz how Gary did me my first years that was it was embarrassing
Even though he saved me from like he even to me
If I was a I type
I was for 50 and a half
And because of that every time we played him
Personally once I got my, it was basically one-on-one.
Every time.
I don't care what the play was.
When I seen Gary match up, it was one-on-one.
I got to change mine then.
Kyle Corver.
Yeah, I targeted him.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was.
Oh, yeah, I went out there.
I went out there.
As soon as I was, oh, give me, I'll play.
Give it to me.
I got him all day.
That was my guy.
For sure.
All right, well, that concludes. One question. Yeah, that was two questions one more but let me host let me do my
Him him
Last last question we got one more
With expanding the NBA adding teams make it better worse or have no change on the list or so expansion. How do we feel about it?
worse
About diluting the murder. I mean it gives more players a chance more bags
Like Seattle and Vegas. Can we get some change that super teams?
That's a better question what what cities two cities should have an NBA team? Yeah.
I think personally, you know, I'm biased because I'm from there, but when they had a team there
that did well, Tampa.
You're from Tampa?
I think Tampa, Florida should have a team. I just think the city's just a better city
overall.
Better than Orlando.
It's hooked up.
I think so.
I think Seattle should have one for sure.
They already have one.
Seattle? Bring it back.
You don't give a nut to you. New city. Seattle was a good city though.
I know, Seattle was a good one.
Or is Vegas too turnt up? Vegas?
I mean the way that- Vegas definitely need one. The way the city is like the way it is. I mean, it's like they love basketball. Yeah.
They building that arena by Circus Circus. Albuquerque.
They had the Thunderbirds back in the D League.
How was that?
What was that?
Albuquerque is interesting.
I used to go to coop camp out there all the time
with Michael Cooper.
This is one city, I mean, one state
that I don't think they got nothing, you know, New Mexico.
New Mexico.
If they said, like, Kansas City, Missouri, that area.
I just knew Tampa Tampa back in Seattle
Vancouver
They got Memphis in Tennessee, you know, I know no no no no no another overseas team
Puerto Rico, Virginia, Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico. We can get it to me. Yeah, that's
That's why American Hawaii long that electrical grid. Why Hawaii is that is that hard from?
Yeah, that's I mean that's a flight from the East Coast to there, right? That's like 10
10 11 hour you come from the East Coast, but just make a play a bunch of games like how far is Miami from Puerto Rico?
I've never been
Like I were to me already a bunch of games. Like how far is Miami from Puerto Rico? I've never been. Like an hour or two? Hour? Three hour flight from Miami? So that's a nine hour flight from
the west coast? Nah, but you wouldn't do the straight flight. You would do the east coast.
Make a fly spirit and earn it. Make a fly spirit. I say Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Hawaii and Puerto
Rico and Vegas. Yeah. A lot of good cities. Chet, drop us in what city you think
deserves
an NBA expansion team.
But that concludes
our Gills Arena for today.
