So we're going to start this one a little bit different today
before we get into a ton of basketball.
So what are women looking for in a man is a question as old as time.
On our recent episode of her two personal show with Taylor Rooks, Joy Taylor said it all comes down to the three F's.
Can we just keep it a buck?
If they're fine enough, if they're funny enough, or if their financial status is what you want. Fine, funny,
fucking money. You're throwing all boundaries, boundaries, standards,
all that shit you talked on Instagram about how you would never, and this woman ain't kid,
because women this and men this you're it's here
And you're moving forward with this person
Try to see that uh
You have some feelings about this particular subject I love it, okay
She said the three F's fine enough funny enough or financially stable. No, that was fucking money
Yeah, then it was financially stable fucking money. It's called find them fuck them and forget them
That's what she really was saying that's what that's the random the buckling forget Rashad's three F's joy listen
I know it was flea flea
It's for a listen. It's nice to hear three. Oh stuff even they were saying one way
Even I said you can't forget what she was using
Fucking money before the money fucking money
You got to have fucking money
Emphasis that's all relative to, because it costs to be the boss.
You got to have fucking money.
You can't just be out here just spending money.
You got to be able to know how to use the money.
You going to buy some work?
You got to pay for some good work.
I like that they put it out there.
Or rent.
Yeah, at least you got to be fine. At least you got to work on your fineness as a man.
Get in the gym. You know what I'm saying?
Get your buffer, get your buffer on.
Get your skin clean, you gotta get your skin clean and all that other shit.
You know what I'm saying? Gotta be fine. Get your jokes up.
Gotta make her, you gotta tickle her little belly.
You gotta tickle her belly.
Get your takes up.
Yeah, get your takes up.
Yeah, I talked to Joy this morning, cause because Stephen a Smith and hers was a little different
So he had his little
Different in original. So this was the original. Yeah
Are we always gonna keep it real? This is the concept of it is we all have standards, right?
We all have what we want
Right and you know what she's saying is all the women that saying they I don't want a guy with no kids
I want that all that goes out of window when you see that motherfucker up front Right? And, you know, what she's saying is all the women that's saying, I don't want a guy with no kids.
All that goes out the window when you see that motherfucker
up front. Right?
Dude with five kids, but he got money in the
bank. He pulled up on you. He talking.
He sick. Whatever you
said just went out the window. Right?
And that's just reality. That's why when people be
talking about this, that, and online,
I'm like, I've never had these problems.
I'm sorry.
I got
five kids and trust me and the panties is dropping first date because if not I
can just get your friend I can get her friend I get her and that's just the
reality of it so I don't need to change my language I don't need to pander to
the women like that's it sounds good, but if you meet me in person,
trust me, sweetheart.
Yeah.
The old saying is,
if you knew better,
you'll do better.
Yeah.
You know what I'm talking about?
Well, y'all niggas is rich.
I got to do a lot more than that.
No, you don't.
I got to do a lot more.
You think you do.
I got to do a lot more.
You think you do.
When the tab come,
I'm looking twice at that motherfucker.
You think you do.
Yeah.
I'm getting a bit... Bitch, how much did you do. Yeah. I'm getting a bit.
Bitch, how much did you eat, bitch?
I'm getting it before the tab.
I'm getting it before the tab comes.
I know you got gas and something.
What's up?
I'm getting it before the tab comes.
Joy, look, I'd love to take you on a date, man.
We just gotta go to Applebee's.
That's all I'm saying.
Joy, me and you.
A fine eatery.
Me and Joy can have joyous, okay?
We can be real good friends.
Chili before chili's closed down.
Chili before chili's closed down.
Wait, chili's done?
My baby, baby, baby.
Chili.
Doors nationwide, dog.
Yeah, what's up?
I just want them to cook.
They don't cook no more.
They don't cook no more.
So to throw your standards out.
She said throw your standards and your boundaries out the window.
For the money.
Wait a minute. For the money in the phone
Trust me, man. Like we didn't been in this thing. We didn't like everybody know I'm
Married eyes, but listen
Like to give us point never had no issue
Good looking gentleman, I mean but, it ain't just that.
Right?
I've been the same height,
same complexion when I was in high school
and I didn't have a pot to piss in,
no window to throw it out of.
Right?
Dead fucking broke.
And the 6'8 new guy at the school
can hoop.
What's happening?
What's happening?
Right?
I went to three
different high schools.
When I got to my
junior, senior,
I was the new
light-skinned dude
at the school
and everybody was like,
who the 6'9 dude, man?
Right?
That's just what it is.
And you put some money
with that,
a nigga start getting a haircut every week.
Yeah, yeah, different.
Important. Grooming.
You're grooming, getting manicured,
pedicured, and it smell nice.
Nigga ain't wearing cool water no more.
No more cool water.
That shit was good.
Nigga ain't wearing juke.
Juke?
Jupey juke, niggas!
You know what's so funny?
When people think we're saying, like,
we're not talking about reality, girls.
We're not talking about the models on Instagram.
We're compromising the women that pretend that they're this high class.
Your doctors, your lawyers, your...
Those police officers.
You know how many police officers I had in the stable?
CEOs of Disney and shit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You compromised.
Damn, girl, man.
There's a bunch of Disneys around here.
This corporation.
It is the...
Okay.
Hey.
Hey.
Fortune 500.
I want to bend you over this main bag.
What's happening?
Huh?
Okay, well...
Come on outside.
You know me.
Come on outside.
You know me.
I'm going to try.
Come on outside.
Take a turn.
You know me.
I'm going to try you.
How I sound on Instagram is how I sound in real life.
I want to see if I can break your will.
Think about a police officer.
What type of mind you think they have?
They're aggressively.
Right?
So you have to sound, they sound like that.
What's up?
Let me handcuff you, put you over the balcony and stuff like this.
Mmm.
Mmm.
Mmm.
That sounds interesting.
I handcuffed one, moved to the balcony.
That's a 10-4.
And left.
Of course it did.
That's a 10-4.
Left there for five hours.
You know what kind of emotions a person can go through in five hours?
That's a lot.
I'm going to do this. I can't believe he did that. I'm in love
Are you psychotic ass girl? Mm-hmm? Go fight. No kids. I was
Went to a casino
Damn five days you wanted to experience something new. Yeah, that was the last being left on that goddamn balcony handcuffed wet
The difference is the difference is that's new experience for you. That's new. The difference is, the difference is.
That's new experience for you.
You're going to remember that.
Y'all been off the market, man.
Market has changed.
The market has changed out this motherfucker, man.
It's different.
All right, Trey, I'll take your word.
They ain't what they used to be.
We had it good.
Cool.
We had it good.
2024.
Brother, you know the higher I mean, 2024. Brother,
you know the higher,
listen,
the high class,
those standards,
the ones with the high standards,
I need to six figure them.
Oh,
they breakable.
Because they don't,
no,
I get it.
They broke.
No,
no,
the ones with money,
they need attention.
They do.
But they be acting.
They acting.
Yeah,
like Joy, like Joy Taylor like, what's up?
But I ain't in the league.
I ain't got $200 million.
And it's like, I can't date you because I got them going down.
Are you fine enough, funny enough?
I am.
Okay.
Look, she going to come down the ladder.
She going to come down the ladder, but she going to climb up the tree.
And that is a bar limit, though.
Mm-hmm.
She going to come down the ladder, but she going to climb up this tree. that is a Bartlett She gonna come down the ladder is you gonna climb up this tree and I'm gonna make it work Wow and on that note
Shout out to joy Taylor and the two personal show though. Make sure you like it subscribe. I've always liked joy
I just won't let her know I've always liked you now on another note
Lexi Brown higher
1.5
1.5 on the threes made. We already got
the.5.
For the points. He's talking about for the threes.
Did that.5
come with stipulations? You're going to spend like $20.
$10. $10 is a lot
of money for something, Gil. Yeah, 1.5
on them threes, god damn it.
She going hard.
Everybody, if you watch Gil's Rant,
make sure you watch Lexi and the Sparks tonight.
Support the W.
But let's keep this thing moving.
So, Vince Carter will already be enshrined in the Naismith Hall of Fame this year.
And on Wednesday, the Nets announced they are retiring his number 15 jersey.
Carter only spent four and a half seasons with the Nets.
Then in New Jersey.
But averaged 24.6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 374 regular
season games.
Can you already see?
I already see where this is going.
I'm just trying to, you know, North Carolina legend.
But he averaged 26, 7, and 5 assists in 27 playoff games with the team.
Three-time All-Star during his tenure, still holds the Nets' single-season points record,
third all-time in their career scoring list.
So he becomes the seventh Nets player with a retired jersey, joining Jason Kidd, Julius Irving,
Buck Williams, Drodden Petrovic, Super John Williamson, and Bill Melchione.
Kenyon, we'll start with you as a former New Jersey Net. Thoughts on Vince Carter
getting his jersey retired? What you say about the fucking Nets? Nothing. I got What I was Nah Hey Shout out to Vince bro
Okay
Yeah shout out to Vince
We'll leave it at that
Yeah leave it at that
Leave it at that
Leave it at that
Hey
I got beef with the Nets too
Oh no I played well
When I was with the Nets
Okay
Made two finals
All star
We good
We need to see that Six in a raft I'm just No I'm just Hey I'm Hey man New York Chiefs. Okay. Made two finals, all-star. We good. We need to see that
six in the raft.
No, I'm just,
hey, I ain't got no...
Okay.
No, Bruce Ratton
not the owner no more,
so we good.
That's what it always boils down to,
because, you know,
my pops play for the Clippers,
have those same feelings
towards Donald and Shelly Sterling,
so some beef is eternal.
No beef with Steve Ballmer, though.
Yeah, nah, man. Vince Dooley was supposed to do when he got there. Yeah
Try you roll you don't understand. Let me fuck all that listen
The mess had to go get Vince
They had to
And they wouldn't put no bodies in the seats because a certain player left
I'm worried that certain player left. Where that certain player.
Oh yeah. They didn't fucking pay me.
I left and they lost half of the
goddamn season ticket holders.
Call it what it is.
Shit.
Third player had to go to the Western
Conference.
Yeah. I didn't want to shit.
I did. But now I want to
know.
Now, Vince, can I ask this and
things like they some
decent playoff runs and
Had every title is yours in Toronto yet
Don't think so. It's crazy. That's crazy
He only did four years in New York four and a half season four and a half in Jersey, but shit
She made he put got goddamn Raptors on the map
So yeah, they're not to be yet is but now he's
Raptors are one of the only remaining franchises that doesn't have a jersey retired yet
It's a little weird that The Nets will retire his jersey before the Raptors did but a lot of things are going on in Toronto right now. So
Yo, they'll do
CB before you know the fact that we talking about this and my old agent just
text me and my hater WTF defense Carter do to get his Jersey retired by the Nets
since your Jersey should be getting retired by the Nets to you did way more
than he did in that uniform. It just came through.
That's coming from your former agent?
It just came through.
As we're sitting here.
I'm just, no.
11.51 a.m.
I know every franchise.
It is now 11.51 and 53 seconds.
I know every franchise is a little different.
I get it.
I really do.
I'm glad he's getting retired.
I figured it was Toronto.
I thought it would have been up first.
Of course, that's Toronto Nets.
It gives me hope now that my jersey can be retired because, yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, he was two-time all-star in the nest uniform i know you're gonna say no i would not give because he got traded during that season yeah he got
traded in the eastern conference stuff yeah so um it's like both the arcs uh two-time all-star
no time all nba player in that uniform i'm three-time all-star three-time All-NBA player in that uniform. I'm a three-time All-Star, three-time All-NBA player, cover boy.
I feel a little hope, you know what I mean?
But I know it's different circumstances on retired jerseys.
Is it, though?
Is it different teams got different criteria?
Yeah, they got different criteria.
There's no universal criteria.
They have different criteria, yeah.
That's interesting. Who else does Washington got up there? There's no universal criteria. There's different criteria, yeah. They are.
That's interesting.
Who else does Washington got up there?
They got some studs up there.
They got some studs?
Unseld, Lanier.
Lanier.
All the older guys?
Yeah.
Anybody recent past you?
Me, Antoine, and Karan probably be the honoraries.
One of the first ones.
So they got Earl Monroe, Elvin Hayes, Johnson West unsub and Phil what Chaney had say it
yeah yeah so yeah I think what it was the bullets and then everybody since
then yeah bullets like you know Chris Rebber didn't stay that long. Juan Howard didn't really play that long. So they didn't really have, yeah.
Since West.
Since, yeah.
That group.
But, yeah, congratulations, Vince.
That's what I'm saying.
It gives me hope, so I'm happy for him.
I like to hear you say that, brother.
That's important.
Toronto's tripping.
Man, what do they got to do to get the jersey retired, though?
And I'll just point this out.
I know we didn't win it but damn
Take here. Why would they kill you up there? He's up there. Yeah, Jake is up there
So he's a kid Julius Irving Buck Williams, but Brooke Lopez currently Nets all-time leading scorer
So we can see his he probably make it. Yeah, we can see his hanging hanging from the round one day boots
Salute to you Vince Congrats on the Hall of Fame induction as well
And you know, you know sip my tea. There's gonna be some calls beer bag. Oh, no. No, it's not no cause
for
What I'm a call for I say you were people ain't nobody my on my behalf gonna call
And say what?
But here y'all got this shit up there mind blowing not not me brother my jersey
ain't the only place that matter dog the house no it's the university of cincinnati man oh that one
too go bearcat high school not a few guys ain't tripping dog for. For sure. I will. Let me ask you this.
Is that important?
What?
My high school?
College.
Have your college jersey in the rafters.
As an NBA player, right, let's just say we all get there.
Some of us do better than others, right?
But to have your shit in the rafters at your college, yeah, cuz the work I put in for you the work the work that's put in prior to get to me It's always like the shit we did before getting to the pinnacle. Okay, we can't go beyond this. So this is the top
So we know how hard it is to get past that I'm saying Hall of Fame all that other shit
Mm-hmm. So to me, it's always like I look back and I say
I'm up there. I got have a conversation with you you up there you ain't up there yet. Don't play trees
Cuz you did you did shit you broke you broke records and shit
I had a lot of killers. I'm saying I had a lot of motherfuckers up there. But like to me
It's like when you we could have that conversation about being dominant in college,
I think that it means a lot when comparing it.
Somebody, they have to start a petition to even give me a statue in Cincinnati.
We can do that.
We have that power.
Oh, it's different.
Somebody's already doing it.
Okay.
It's already.
There's only one statue out there, so.
Oscar's going to be Draco. Big Oscar. That's right. Fire. All right. Well, let's already... There's only one statue out there, so... Oscar's going to be Jake Oscar.
That's right.
Fire.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
Had two playoff games last night.
Let's start in the Eastern Conference.
Pacers smacked the Knicks in Game 4 on Sunday to even things up.
The home team has won every game so far in the series.
And in Game 5, Jalen Brunson put the Knicks on his back
to make sure that trend continued.
So things got testy throughout the game as trash was being talked and text distributed,
bringing back old memories from this longstanding playoff rivalry.
Brunson got back to his bucket-getting ways, dropping 44 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds.
He was 18 for 35 from the field, 6 for 7 from the line.
It was his fifth 40-point game this postseason.
He was also a game high plus 31.
Josh Hart bounced back from his boo-boo game forward with 18 points
and 11 rebounds.
You already know. Oh my God.
And Deuce McBride made the most of his first career playoff
start, scoring
nine of his 17 points in the first quarter along with
four assists. Alec Burks had another
solid game off the bench with 18 points and five
rebounds. He was five for eight from three.
And Isaiah Hardenstein has 17 rebounds
with 12 of them coming on the offensive end
to tie Charles Oakley's franchise record
along with 7 points and 5 assists.
So Tyrese Halliburton looked nothing like the dude
that dropped 34 and 9 dimes in the Garden in Game 2.
He had 13 points and 5 assists,
only took 9 shots in the game.
Siakam led the Pacers with 22 points and 8 rebounds.
Miles Turner added 16 and 5 boards. So the Knicks were up 15 in the game. Siakam led the Pacers with 22 points and eight rebounds. Miles Turner added 16 and five boards.
So the Knicks were up 15 at the half.
Pacers cut it to seven in the third, but the Knicks eventually went on a 17-0 run
to balloon their lead to 25 points, withstood a Pacers run in the fourth.
The Knicks also had 20 offensive rebounds in the game.
Out-rebounded the Pacers, 53-29.
So thoughts on Brunson in the Knicks bouncing back after
getting blown out in game four I mean we said it we said it that you know you
know Brunson you know he had two two bad games which you know at a for a high
level guy like that that's that's very that's very, that's very good.
Right?
To only have two bad games and two series combined.
Right?
So we knew he was going to bounce back.
He has the ball in his hand.
Right?
He's going back home.
Right?
But that's the difference
between them and the Pacers.
Right?
You have a guy
who's going to try to
put his will onto the game.
Right? He took 35 shots. 35 fucking shots right so he he he's showing you that yo i'm gonna will this game the pacers don't have
that guy right like they don't have that guy to the point where when you're rolling we're gonna
give you the ball like siakam is not gonna I don't know if he's capable mentally to say,
I'm going to take 35 shots.
He might feel bad that he's going to take 35 shots, right?
You can't be a star player having feelings.
About shooting?
Especially when it comes to shooting the run.
Right?
So, you know, and, you know, Hallie, his job is to get everybody the ball.
Right?
When they got Siakam over there, you thought Siakam was going to be that half-court guy
that they're going to feed that ball to.
So the fact that they're still trying to win as a whole team
when a guy who's sitting there playing Terminator mode is going to be hard.
So you talk about Siakam, that first-round series against the Bucs,
he had a game with 25 shots, a game with 23 shots,
had 36 and 37 in those first two games of that series.
Hasn't taken more than 16 shots in a game this series, had 15 shots in game five.
But back to the Knicks.
Can we think about just Brunson and that squad getting it back together?
I'm just, they knew they were supposed to they wanted home but from a guy who's been in
playoff series and like things mattered and tendencies and game planning I'm just confused
by Indiana though right to the piggyback on what you were just saying, you know a guy, like the way he started the game,
like ultra aggressive because he's back home, they need a win, and you did nothing to take the ball.
Nothing that you did at home.
It's like y'all left the game playing in Indiana.
Like what happened to picking him up full with T.J. McCollum? Like what happened to picking him up
full with TJ McCollum like what happened to
where's all that energy
that's the
one thing that you can take on the road with you
is picking up
full court effort diving on the floor
the niggas hard as I kick y'all
ass on the glass
12 offensive rebounds
dude ass on the glass. 12 offensive rebounds?
Dude.
I'm, I just,
it baffles me that y'all, like, they don't,
didn't compete. Mm-hmm.
This dude shot the ball
35 times.
Efficient, too.
And, yeah, I think this is going to sit at seven.
Because it's just they're going to, like I said, they left the game playing at Energy at home,
so they're going to pick it back up at the airport, I think.
Hopefully they pick it back up at the airport.
We're just going to leave this shit right here.
Like, dude, I'm baffled.
You're in a dogfight.
Like this is a dogfight with this team.
And y'all took y'all tail, man.
Like that's...
Got 30-piece yesterday.
But how you played in the previous game.
Exactly.
See, that's what I'm like, that's the most mind-blowing thing, like how you played
in the, not like game one, like no, the previous game.
Yeah.
Like y'all played like game, but y'all picking up full court, and you just like,
we cool with coming back here and trying to get another game. game like yeah I'm yeah but now Jalen Brunson was like he did he's determined
to to will them to win this series by any by any means necessary I see there's
a glaring difference between young teams playing on the road young teams playing
at home as you can see you know Halliburton turned
it up game three and game four play well play with energy TJ McConnell play with
energy Neesmith play with energy I think the one thing we do have to you know
take into account is that Matherin is not there Matherin is that guy that's
gonna take 20 something plus shots I think that he's gonna be the next guy for the Pacers that they're missing,
that unfortunately he went down because I think he's an up-and-coming rising star.
Got a lot of ability, a lot of upside.
But you can't really expect the rest of those guys who want to play team ball
to get away from, I would call Carlisle a dictator.
He's one of those dictator coaches. There ain't no free fall, free play. You go out here and do what Brunson did. He wants system.
He wants organization. He wants-
He don't have a dirt. I was told me to cut you off because he don't have a dirt.
He don't have, yeah. He don't have none of that. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So that's
the big part. So Siakam would probably try to be that dirt, but he don't want to be.
He's a Toronto guy.
The Toronto guys are all system guys.
Just like OG.
OG's not a guy who wants to take 20-plus shots.
But if he happens to do it, it feels good to him because it's in the flow of the game.
Siakam is not a guy who's going to go out there and will the team to victory.
Halliburton ain't never going to be that type of guy.
He didn't come from that type of system.
So the disappointment to me is Miles Turner.
Miles Turner is the disappointment.
And the fact that these guys don't box out, none of the young players do, really.
I think every team can go to the offensive glass and get boards.
Every single time the ball goes up.
So that wasn't really a glaring thing to me.
It was just more of a disappointment to see them not show up as it's, what, game five?
No.
It's a big game.
But you talk about 53-29 on the glass.
53-29.
Knicks had 20 offensive rebounds.
When was the last?
They had 20 offensive rebounds. Y'all had 20 offensive rebounds. When was the last? They had 20 offensive rebounds.
Y'all had 20 offensive rebounds.
Y'all had 29 rebounds as a team.
What was the last team that gave?
I've never heard of some team giving up 20 offensive rebounds in a playoff game.
Hardenstein getting 12 of those things, you think after three, four, five.
You face guard him.
You do some hitting.
Hitting.
You got to take two fouls on hitting him.
Has a playoff team ever given up 20 offensive rebounds?
I've never heard of that before.
Like I said, I don't know.
That has to be a record.
So, Sonics had 30 in the game in the 1978.
Wes was saying my way back in the day.
Man.
And those are second chance points.
Yeah, 26 to 9.
Yeah, so.
Knicks to Pacers.
I know Knicks took.
So, Knicks got up a hundred
and one shots versus Pacers 72 you can't win the game not where you did no one
they got 31 more attempts than you did and ain't got nothing to do with
offensive sets and nothing that's just you being you in fire trouble because
you trying to keep him off the glass and now he cuz once he get in his money going
It's all wrapped man
100 shots in 48 minutes is wild and it's the difference though the guy like Harkison have 12
Offensive boards how many end up with total?
17 17 boards in this game and go play against a guy like Joker or and be and get three rebounds
So you just got him paid
based on you just not... Do you not know how to box him out?
Is he outplaying you?
Or is he just looking at you like,
I'm better than you?
No, you know what the problem is?
It's not that if you watch it,
it's not that Miles is not boxing him out.
It's that same thing with Cat, right?
What Cat does when he's the second-line defense.
He's jumping out of his way.
So you got New Yorkers playing four guards, right?
So you got four guards, and those four guards are damn near attacking.
So when he's trying to track Brunson and he sits there and lifts up
and Brunson shoots, offensive rebound.
But that's still crackbacks.
Right?
So there's no, but there's no crack, the crack, so.
Who's the crackback?
The guards.
Huh?
The guards are the crackback.
Now you got Tyrese Halliburton trying to box him out?
De Smith, Halliburton, Siakam.
T.J.
McConaughey, they ain't got a chance.
You gotta do something.
They ain't got a chance.
Usually what you should do.
And why you think he's out rebounding them?
Siakam 6'8"? Nah, what we used to do it. And why do you think he's out-rebounding them? But we see Ockham 6'8".
Nah, what we used to do is we would have to double-team some guys.
Some guys down there, like if it was Shaq in the dunker
and somebody going across to get D-Wade,
we both got a crackdown.
We're telling crackback on Shaq because he's going to be off.
But you're crackbacking on this guy.
Josh Hart coming through.
That's an offensive rebound.
Well, let me just give you this tidbit if
He decided to go
And when nothing you or whoever y'all was trying to box him out there was nothing y'all was gonna do about it
You know, it's just so you know, it's but you know, cuz I didn't tried it
Double team the nigga. Watch out.
Just do this shit.
Watch out little dude.
You know what the weird part is?
Shit.
I know I've...
I know I've...
We've played against teams that did a lot of offensive rebounding.
I did a lot of offensive rebounding in college.
I did a lot of offensive rebounding in college.
Right? Because I knew certain teams didn't run. lot of offensive rebounding i did a lot of offensive rebounding in in in college right because i knew
certain teams didn't run before you couldn't off try to offensive rebound against the suns
hell no they out and wrong right so how are how are you allowing teams to offensive rebound with
the offense you have that's counterproductive you sitting there trying to run in while you trying to have a fast break, which means, like, we couldn't, I couldn't go offensive rebound guarding Kerry Kittles.
Did not.
He gone.
Kerry Kittles, Kerry Kittles going to challenge the shot and go.
Yeah.
So the fact that I go with, that's I'm sitting here shooting like he's messing
up a shot because we got to try to get back cuz he took off cuz if you or Jason
King got that damn ball it y'all threw it already get it out quick right so
there was there was no how can they go offensive rebound and you're not having
a whole bunch of fast break layups and they not picking no fool they're not
picking up for quite like none of that
So they're getting offers a rebound. You're slowing it down walking it up
And if I'm crazy if I'm see y'all come I'm telling miles you go may Smith
Let me take it out go just as soon as Brunson shoot the ball take off go every time take off Josh Hartman
Whoever garden Josh Hart take off cuz you got Josh and Brunson.
Brunson's going to the lane.
Josh Hart's diving for offensive.
That means McBride is the only one back.
Take off.
And Harkestan's down there, too.
They going 4-1.
They ain't got nobody like Nikola out there.
A guaranteed rebound.
No.
Just to get it out.
He going to throw that one.
They ain't got no Kevin Love. They ain't got no this dang. I know
They ain't got nobody like that who go a they get that motherfucker. They are they automatic
They keeping your ass honest like you said you ain't cuz you know, he gonna throw it
Yes, so with him you gotta get back. They ain't got that so they ain't even worried about it
You did was niggas always hated that Tina team that got that one cherry picker every time.
Like, I got a little guard who can't rebound?
Cherry pick, dog.
Go.
Nothing he can do.
Mello used to do that.
That's what I said.
When he contested, he would be the first one down.
Go to throw it up here.
Post up.
Early post up.
Early post up.
You get like six quick points of just running out, trust me.
They're going to stop running. Somebody's going to make an adjustment. They're going to make an adjustment. Hey, listen. You got to stop going, dog. Yeah, yeah, yeah. get like six you get six quick points of just running out trust me yeah they're gonna stop
they're gonna stop somebody gonna make an adjustment they're gonna make an adjustment
yo hey listen you gotta stop going dog yeah somebody on the bench gonna tell you hey man
you got hey man we gotta have two back man hey i'm gonna tell you we gotta have two back we gotta
have two back your man get three off his rebound hey yeah hey man what the fuck you doing two back
man hey man you hey your man i can't box your man out and my man, dog. And that's what I'm saying. If you got two back, that means we know that we got another guy that can help box out down here.
Yeah, like I said, if you go.
But he's bigger than him.
What I'm saying is you have.
And he won't it.
That's what I'm saying.
So even if Miles Turner is trying to box him out, I got a guard come down here and help.
So this is, since we are on this show we we speak facts and shit on this show
Miles Turner don't want to mix it up with that boy facts. Let's just call it what it is. You see it. You can see it
Play Jalen Smith kid Jason with the Smith. Yes. What he'll mix it up. We won't problems for sure
The crazy boy mm-hmm 22 dollar fighter John Oh Johnson put him in there put James in there
I hear one thing for sure two things for certain he gonna mix it up with him
He gonna hold him grab least
But you're surprised go get it. You ain't go get back to somebody we won't that's not the that's not the fight
That's happening though the fight is when he's sitting there trying to help because of but you don't but you but you don't
But now you can't right?
Been happy. Yeah, right they what I
Don't work for either staff. Mm-hmm. I watched the fucking Philadelphia 76ers series against the Knicks.
Guess what?
It looks like this.
Same thing. Knicks had 23
offensive rebounds game one against Philly.
That's what I'm saying.
They know it.
That's what I'm saying.
So I got a guy. It's an easy fix
to stop me from
just... Because I'm shooting the ball and I'm just sitting here.
They're not even thinking about getting back Brunson nor Josh.
None of those guards are actually getting back.
Because they think Harkstar ain't going to get the ball.
Right?
None of them.
They're standing three-point line like this.
Even Josh Hart.
Yeah, they're just sitting there like, yo, y'all, listen, if I know I'm going to give up 20,
I know what I'm going to do.
I'm going to challenge Josh, keep going.
If he gets off a rebound and score it back up, guess what?
I'm by myself still.
Throw it out.
Two it back.
Yeah.
Ah.
Then you're going to sit.
Now Josh is going to be hesitant.
To go.
Listen to what you're saying, though.
The Brunson mismatch, right?
Saying we got to help on Brunson.
He took 35 shots.
Where those 35 shots come
from? Those extra
possessions, right? Those
offensive, because they're helping,
you allow extra possession for
him to get the ball again. If you
playing him straight up, what's his percentage
going to be? Yeah, so that's my thing.
He going to shoot. You got to stay down,
man. You just got to let him do his thing.
For one, he's proven.
He is going to shoot the ball a lot.
We know this already.
Just keep one on him.
What are we helping for?
Doing too much.
Exactly what you're saying.
What are we helping for?
Why are you taking your body off of your body off of his body? Why?
With this point in the game, you know what they built on and what they are doing
Especially hard Stein, you know what he's gonna do. He's there for office and I'm gonna tell you doing the Philismen
Stop taking your body off his body, man.
So, therefore, you play the James Jones game.
Listen, dog.
You know what I need you to do?
Do it.
It's that simple.
Just keep him off the glass.
Do it.
You got one time.
You ain't got no help responsibility.
Listen, it's simple message.
You ain't got no help responsibility.
Keep him off the glass.
That's it.
And that's how it has to be.
That's how it has to be.
You have no help. There's no helping. Just stay here. Because at the end of the day, he's't got no help responsibility. Keep him off the glass. That's it. That's how it has to be. You have no help. There's
no helping. Just stay here. Because
at the end of the day, he's not taking no shots.
No! Even if he gets off his
rebound, they throw him the pick and roll.
He got the little flip shot. That is
it. That motherfucker took three shots yesterday.
17 rebounds, three
shots. So treat his ass like Dennis
Rodman. Right? If you see
him get the offensive rebound, get back to
your man.
Well, this is where it's a personal
matchup, though, with Brunson.
Nine Hard, McConnell,
Allenburg,
y'all, because Brunson's not getting
straight line drives to the lane where he's just getting
layups, right? Everything is tough.
They're making them work. So I think it's the confidence
in the defender. Like, when you get a bucket put on you,
you feel like you need help or you need this. And it's like, bro, you're doing the best you've been,
you're doing the best you can do or what we need you to do. We just need our other guys to secure
the fucking rebound when he missed. What, what the last two games that in Indiana, he shot poor
Brunson shot poor, right? So that allowed them to win the game because they secured
fucking rebounds.
There wasn't no offensive rebound opportunities.
So then you get back to New York and you just lose sight
of everything because you're not at home?
Man, put Siakam on him.
If you're going to play man to man, just have a longer body
on him.
Who is Siakam guarding?
Brunson.
Who is he guarding right now? Who is's right yeah he's guarding a guard so that's
why they got because they got they're playing four guards out there because they won't certain
matchups on Brunson even Shinzo part McBride and then yesterday it was Brunson McBride, Hart, and Devin Shinzo.
You got four guards.
So if Siakam, I want long on Brunson.
You have to.
What is he doing?
Because you can play man-to-man.
He's trying to play weak side or whatever.
This is not the series where you get them on smoke.
It don't matter.
It don't matter.
I don't think he can smoke.
I can't put the smaller bodies on him, right?
You got to treat him like AI right the difference between Brunson AI
You couldn't put a longer down a I could say I don't just blow pass him. She you gonna blow pass anybody
I think so, but so I know he wants to get to his MIDI and do all that like with Brunson
I'm not worried about his layup package
He's not Kyrie down there. He's coming. He's doing layups a little floater. What is you from three last game?
No, just overall. What is he shooting from through 30?
I'm Brunson in this series. He is 30 percent from three the series. He took six only.
35 shots.
He only took six threes.
He hasn't taken more than six threes in a game this series.
So we're backing up on him.
You're backing up on him.
Finish over top.
He's going to have to shoot double. He's got to shoot it.
Is that how we're just fixing this shit?
Back up on him.
Make him shoot over top.
That's what I said.
That's what I said.
The players right now are fucking up their algorithm that they thought was the game.
Yeah.
Right?
Threes and layups.
You have these guys who play basketball, and they're like, fuck your threes.
I'm going to take the layups, too.
But I'm going to mid-range the fuck out of it because there's no defense.
Yep.
Everybody's running to the, they're running to the damn.
Trying to stop the layup. Trying to stop the layup. Or they're overrunning the three. I'm going to there's no defense. Everybody's running to the, they're running to the damn. Trying to stop the layup.
Trying to stop the layup.
Or they're overrunning the three.
I'm going to just keep going into him, Shea.
Look who's killing you guys.
So when I ask you, what message are Brunton and SGA sending the analytics crowd and young Hoopers about the importance of having a meeting in the two box?
Not just them two.
All the stars.
All the stars that really can score the basketball is mid-range months.
Mid-range.
Jamal Murray.
Kevin Durant is one of the best three-point shooters to play this game,
and he don't sit at the three-point line.
Yeah, Booker.
Booker.
Booker to the middle.
Kawhi Leonard.
Kawhi.
Paul George.
I'll get there sometime.
You just think about the guys who score the ball at an alarming rate
who can go on
Get your 50. Donovan Mitchell the other night
35 points in the paint of his sport. Come on man
I'm not gonna stay out here and keep doing this. Ah for what? Look I'm just gonna keep doing step
That's why I was like you're doing step back step back threes
Yes, that goes back to the game. Once I take off, your body turns.
Okay, pull up.
Slow down.
Slow down.
Goes back to the series.
Houston, Golden State.
Houston at home.
Home court advantage.
Missed 27 straight threes.
Unbelievable.
27 straight.
Dude.
What are y'all doing? Who's the coach over here? Who's the GM?
Time out.
Who are the players?
Man, y'all shoot another one?
Who is the guy?
Who the main guy on the team that said, hey, man?
Yeah.
What we doing?
You should take it to the...
What we doing out here?
Who's the guy that say, dude, hey, man, God, hey, hey, hey, hey, come here, come here,
y'all, come here, come here.
Come on.
We done missed five.
Somebody go to the back.
That's a good one.
That's a good one.
That's a good one.
That's a good one.
That's a good one. That's a good one. That's a good one. What we doing out here? Who's the guy that say, dude, hey, man, guy, hey, hey, hey, hey, come here, come here, y'all.
Come here, come here, come here.
Come on.
We done missed five.
Somebody go to the basket.
That's enough.
Somebody go to the basket.
Somebody go to the basket, please.
Somebody.
27.
27.
You missed five.
Look, we missed five already, dog.
Let's just get a little.
Timeline, let's get a little layup.
Draw one up for a layup or something.
Is it Carlisle not figuring it out?
Like we need to put Siakam on you and it just was played in play to play a different type of defense on the L
Isn't the reason I want to play see I come cuz see I give is not scoring enough
He's not scoring enough to for him to rest to understand. That's what he's doing. He's resting like that
So I say he don't want that smoke like if you don't rest motherfucker you better be shooting down here, man
You gotta get 25 game you got to give me 30.
Give me 25.
Every game, you got to give me 30.
You got to give me 25 shots.
All right, AI, AI, AI plan.
Okay, get Antonio Daniels.
He ain't going to take about six, five shots, you know what I mean?
So you got all offense.
Yep.
Right?
Right?
If you're only going to take 12 shots, goddammit,
you should at least stop the other person.
Yeah, you got to be doing something more.
But yeah, no, they haven't figured.
I don't, to the life of me, they haven't figured them out. They haven't done anything different. They think in calls
They think it that the refs the NBA is gonna help him out. No, it's just little tweaks off like he's one-on-one
This is what he is. This is what he's gonna do
So if you got if he's gonna take 35 shots have someone he has to change his shot over
Oh, I got throw it up a lot little. But these little bumps right here,
dude got a 6'4 wingspan.
Yeah.
He don't give a fuck.
I don't see you.
He don't give a fuck about none of that, dog.
I don't see you.
You don't see them.
He got a 6'4 wingspan.
That shit ain't fucking with him, dog.
You need at least 6'11 wingspan on him.
He going to have to throw it up just a little bit more
than he want to.
And they so busy worried about that three ball, man span on him. He's going to have to throw it up just a little bit more than he wants to. And they so busy worried about that three-ball,
man, on offense.
Like, you...
Who they start, the Nimhart kid?
Yeah.
Not going to do it.
Switch it up, dude.
Pesky. You could be pesky on him.
Switch it up.
He is mixing that nigga out there.
Mixing him. Mixing him out there.
That's what it's embarrassing. They shame out there. They're like, man, I don there. Mixing him. Mixing him out there. That's what it's embarrassing.
They shame out there.
They're like, man, I don't want to guard him.
Look what he's doing to you.
I don't want that nigga's league.
We watching him mix your ass.
I ain't a better defender than you are.
You're the best defender we got.
He's killing you.
Yackem's supposed to be sticking them.
Man, you got to play big.
You got to play big on him.
You got to play a big lineup.
How's he doing against Aaron?
You got a few bodies over there.
He was playing him well.
You took him off of him.
And he took him off.
And he was playing him well.
You took him off of him
when he went home.
You got to stick six, seven,
like six, seven,
a six, six with a long,
that's where you guard them.
Someone who's strong enough
to take his bump.
Yeah.
But they got to take the challenge, though.
They got to take the...
Who?
The players.
Let me guard it.
Yeah, they got a couple guys.
Let me guard it.
But the ones that they putting out there are too small.
TJ wants the challenge, but he too small.
Too little.
He want that small.
He like, let me get him.
TJ?
Let me get him.
Like, TJ, like, when TJ gets him,
the whole job is, hey, pick him up full court.
Get him tired, and then try to switch off at the half.
They're going to run a pick and roll.
They're going to run a pick and roll.
And then whoever's switching on them, run up.
What is this?
You know, remember we used to be at the bottom like, all right, they're about to run him up.
You stay down and I go up.
What?
So we can run into that switch.
Yep.
Man.
Yep.
Well, do we do this?
I did it all the time with Nene.
Yep.
Yep.
Stay down.
I got it.
We try to win every single. Come on. Stay name. Yep. Yep. Stay down. I got it
Come on
Furthest corner away from the ball if I see you hey, no, oh get the fuck out of here
They may bring your slow ass out here he come keen as nobody called you
That's like my dog boy at home I'll talk to the big one come to French
They're like TJ TJ six one my thing you can do is pick up a full court
That's it. See what he's looking. He posting you up Him up them hard he might post naysayers Neesmith
Well, that's what you would do right you Chauncey like the whole baby like
You you're big as the man man. Come here. Come here.
Give it here.
Give me the ball, man.
Bring it down here.
And he liked that pesky shit.
Who?
Brunson loves the pesky defenders because then he can get the fouls on them.
He know how to run into them.
See, the pesky defenders, he going to bait them, right?
He going to hit them a little bit, wait till they hit.
He going to move out of it and go.
Where you get him tired is he's not the Kyrie dribbler. He's not that John. So he's shaky in the backcourt. Oh, yes
He's right. So you can pick his ass in the back. I'll turn his back on get off
There I got that motherfucker. All the way down. What? All the way down? I got his head down.
Get your hand out of here.
His dribbling is half court to the rim.
Yes, absolutely.
That's that guy.
Right?
So if he's bringing the ball up, you want to pick him up full court, get him tired.
And then in the half court, release and switch.
Those are those type of guys.
But you see the offense, the way that they're playing offense when it comes down to if they did that from full court to half
Court and then they switched the defenders. Mm-hmm, New York ain't running no offense at that point
They just running the pick and roll in Arkansas. I know yeah, it ain't even got no no actions
No, no, just pick and roll switch
Harker yeah, Harker's son. Hardly. I come see I can run up run up and he's not they not inverting on the backside
What you talking about? Yeah, keep me see I come down and if up and he's not they not inverting on the backside what you talking about
Yeah, keep me see I come down and if they did invert that would be the switch. Yeah, you know come up
Keep my way to shit used to go you want to keep the biggest player by the real
Yes He got size. He can't rebound. He can't have the other big.
So that's why you're inverted.
That's what's happening.
That's why you're inverted.
You got small, medium, big.
On the weak side, but you motherfuckers got big, medium, small.
You got the big at the nail.
See, they have to invert early.
That's what they're not doing.
They don't have an opportunity to invert. No, they just stay there. Whoever they run, they play. The guy cut through. He run to the nail. See, they have to invert early. That's what they're not doing. They don't have an opportunity to invert.
No, they just stay there. Whoever they run, they play.
The guy cut through. He run to the baseline
with him. He's standing on the lane.
Yeah, he's just standing there. They should have
inverted early. They got to invert early. Like T.J.
McConnell down there, what you doing? What is you doing?
What are you doing on the bottom? And they're not talking.
You see they're not talking. No.
They're not talking. Because they're so used to switching, they're looking for help.
Yep. 101 shots and they only took 35 threes.
That means these fucking guards, these guards are coming in the lane.
Is any of them over 6'6"?
Who, the Knicks guards?
Knicks guards?
No.
No.
6'1".
None of them.
6'1", DiVincino, 6'4". Josh DiVincino, Harkinstein. No, no Six one Devin Gino six for Josh Hart Devin Chino
Harkin Stein
McBride
Right like what it's 26 16 16. So six one six one six two six three. Yeah
And then you know now you would think they would shoot
But burst is coming off the bench. Yeah, and they just dusted him off
The shooter everybody else going to making layups man Wow
Yeah, they just dust the Burke's off like
Dusty shit coming out here you know that motherfucker rock tears went over there say
you good you good you good there's one thing that if tibs call your number you know you playing
playing you know we over here knocking on your door hey hey you that is actual facts if he do
this get in you gonna be like like Ty. I'm back in the
rotation, goddamn. Get in the rock, baby.
Mortimer,
we're back.
Mortimer.
Yes. We're back,
baby.
Pocket change, but let's talk
a little bit about Dante DiVincenzo.
Had another off night offensively.
Just eight points going forward for 14 from the field.
But made his presence felt in other ways.
Being involved in some chippy moments throughout the game.
So...
You got to impact the game.
Exactly.
Impacting the game.
Got into it with TJ McConnell in the first quarter.
They were in each other's grill.
That's an offensive foul?
They called an offensive foul on the stop on McConnell.
See, I don't agree with it.
I know you would have some issue with that as well.
I like that.
Vincenzo called him a bitch-ass knicker.
Knickerbocker.
Knickerbocker.
I like that foul.
I like that.
See, you got to keep me.
Then I'm sorry.
Zay Jackson set the hard screen.
Watch out.
Watch out, sir.
Everybody thought that was a like birds here
But it was really hard to start giving them the the backhand
Those three were hit with text all these close all this unnecessary close contact man Miles Turner D Vincenzo
Got into it and do something do
No y'all grab me grab me grab me grab me, grab me. Talk back to me.
I love the back away while talking.
Okay, I don't know if we got some lip readers here, but...
Yeah.
Devin Chinzo look like he rap.
He got bars?
He got bars for sure.
And a black girlfriend.
So that play happened after he had a big...
Devin Chinzo had the tip jam on the other side
of the court. But after the game, white Dante had a simple message for the Pacers, basically telling
them you're not that guy, pal. They're trying to be tough guys, you know, but that's not their
identity. Um, and there was nothing more to that. I just don't, you know, I don't agree with trying
to, you know, walk up on somebody that you know, wasn't a fight. I just don't, you know, I don't agree with Chyza.
You know, walk up on somebody that you know is going to fight them.
So take the foul, keep it moving.
You're not a tough guy.
Just keep it with you.
Dante's point, nobody fights in the league anymore.
Should they bring back fighting?
Bring back?
As long as it's not a fine.
That's what I'm saying.
Bring it back.
It's there. 15 seconds, y'all go. What I'm saying is the a fine. That's what I'm saying. Bring it back. It's there.
15 seconds, y'all go.
What I'm saying is
the fighting is there.
It just costs too much.
It's a business decision.
That was just a foul, bro.
That's not worth 400,000.
I'll be honest, man.
Fighting never really
occurred on the floor.
It was...
Keep that energy
after the game, bro.
In the tunnel.
Bro, I'll see you
in a few seconds, bro.
In the tunnel.
It's cool.
When I see you back there, please keep that energy. How much of that was going on when y'all were in the tunnel. Bro, I'm going to see you in a few seconds. In the tunnel. It's cool. When I see you back there, please keep that energy.
How much of that was going on when y'all were in the tunnel?
If there was real beef, that's what I'm saying.
If there's real beef, I'm going to see you in a second, bro.
I ain't even chatting.
That was them.
When you see two motherfuckers run this way, yeah.
Yeah, I'll be back.
I'll be back.
No shower pills and the whole nine.
I'll be right back.
Let me see what's up.
Oh, you ain't on that time, bro.
We cool.
Oh, the shower pill.
Yeah.
The legendary.
Just want to see
because if it's real energy,
it's like,
I'm not going to get a fine
and pay them
because I want to whoop on you.
No, no, you're still
going to get a fine.
When the league find out,
you still get a fine.
Yeah, but at least
I know what's up with you.
I know that you really...
The crowd don't see it,
but you're still getting fined, brother.
You want some of that smoke,
I'm going to get you some smoke.
Can you imagine
you didn't have those issues when you were playing?
No, it's been noted I didn't have to put my hands on a few people.
Okay.
But I didn't...
See, that's the difference between me and my...
And...
There's no...
Well, there wasn't.
When I, like, that buffer or that filter,
when it's go time, I lacked that for a long time.
Like there was no filter.
Zero to a hundred.
There was no filtering process with me.
Like my wick was short.
Like you tried me and it's on.
You do anything, it's on.
You say something,
it was on.
I just, the level, like,
we're going to play basketball,
let's keep it at a level of respect.
We're going to play,
let's play hard as fuck.
We can get after it out here.
Whatever in between
the rules of the game,
let's get it.
Push me down,
step over me,
knock me,
oh, whatever we gonna do,
but once you,
I feel you cross that line
with me, I'm gonna get
dead on your ass and I didn't give a fuck
about the fine, the suspension,
or nothing. Because you
gonna remember that.
You ain't gonna remember somebody breaking us up.
Facts. You gonna remember
me punching you in your shit
Very memorable, right?
That's just the way I did and I didn't and in real time and I'm a give like
If I deemed it not
There was levels, of course
I'm gonna give you a warning
If it get today If it's getting there, I'll give you a warning.
Mm-hmm.
Amen.
You need to cut it out, man.
Amen.
Amen.
Amen.
Or we'll be on the free throw line.
Or I'll tell the rest of you, dude, you need to calm him down, man.
Or I will.
Yes.
What you talking about, Ken?
I'll take exactly what he did.
And if he do it again, I'm going to get dead on his ass.
You better get it.
Could that person hear you when you were talking? I Ken. I'll take exactly what he did and if he do it again, I'm going to get dead on his ass. You better get it. Could that person hear you when you were talking?
I'm pointing at you. That's my favorite thing
when I'm having a conversation with somebody else
about some shit I'm going to do to you.
Ken, who you talking about? The lack of respect.
Right here.
Right here. If he do it again...
I had to put my
hand on a couple teammates.
Stop the cap
Paul I was ready. Hey follow, you know, he had You know what it feels like to be in this back out on here. You know what it feels like to be in the arena, man.
You know what I mean?
It's terrific, man.
Them AAU days are getting rough in the AAU days.
Yeah, because it's that.
And everybody got big here.
Everybody got to leave.
So that's why, like, I got to.
On the hands I put on, like, you all right?
You all right?
Okay, my bad, brother.
My bad, brother.
I'll pass it to you next time.
Yeah, I ain't mean what I said.
See, my thing is, like, you just, I'm not the guy, man, I never been.
Like, you just not going to the guy man. I never be like
You just not gonna walk up in my personal space
Just not gonna especially we we are we fighting. I don't I don't know your intent
I know ain't nobody gonna fight this one, but the way I was raised I got punched in my shit one
Oh, I'm that talk that talk just talking and let somebody get in your personal space and he punched you
Mm-hmm. See that ain't happened to a lot of these dudes
You get punched and you trying to figure where he at and he steady swinging and you don't know where he at He steady hitting you you ain't never had that happen. Mm-hmm. So
You get in my personal space. I could be dead wrong. I
Can be dead wrong though
We'll deal with it after I mean, I wasn't going to do nothing.
I didn't know that.
I didn't know that.
I felt threatened.
If we arguing, you push me.
Like I said, the whole thing about the Jordan Poole thing.
You know a dude comes to you, you know what he on.
Right?
You know what I mean?
I'm the same way.
You know what I'm on, man.
Especially when I was playing.
You knew what I was on.
You knew what time, what the dude was saying, now that you know what time I was on.
Leave him alone, man.
Right, because it ain't going to, it's not going to be the narrative, what you think.
Oh, I did this to Kenyon, and how he, no.
It ain't.
That's the crazy part about it.
I grew up watching him at Cincinnati.
Right?
Before getting to Carolina,
it was the,
is it okay to act like that?
Right? So I get there.
I didn't have to do a lot of that.
Right? So I was still loud
and strong, screaming and all that shit
because that's what he gave that energy. So it was like, that's the intimidation factor that
you can put on people without having to put your hands on them, because you scare them.
Then I get to Minnesota, and I see this shit in real life, like this nigga's yelling at
motherfuckers, this nigga's yelling at Kevin McHale, like screaming on everybody. And I'm
seeing it in the game, so I'm like, damn, I'mHale like screaming on everybody and I'm seeing it in the game
So I'm like damn I'm seeing this thing to do it and I'm seeing this thing to do it. I'm six four. I
Ain't no seven-foot nigga like that. So I had to be the little
Like bully the little tough guy that I'm guard mellow. I'm guarding all these big-ass guards
Like I said you guard the point guard. I had a guard them they trying to bully me
So I had to be the nigga that's always
standing up. Like, nah, I'm in here
to, I got my two fouls, there's gonna be good,
two hard fouls. Yeah,
y'all gonna hate me when I check in, get this motherfucker
all shit. So it's
important to set the tone, but
if you ain't really about that,
you know what I'm saying, you can't
bring that energy if you ain't with that energy.
Don't act, you heard me say this before, right?
Don't act like you want to fight if you don't want to fight.
It's real simple, man.
How quickly could your spider senses sense that someone was a fake tough guy?
How quick was that?
It's instant, man.
Certain dudes don't even know.
It's the look. It's the look.
There's only a few in the NBA that, you know.
Over time.
The rest of us just faking.
Over time, there's been a few guys who you knew because he's done it.
And you've heard stories.
So, the stories, like, you behind, we in locker rooms.
Like, it's just behind the bus shit.
You hear these stories over time because it's a small fraternity.
And guys go to different teams and they're sharing stories.
And guys knew, like, man, you heard about what such-and-such put his hands on at practice?
You heard about what Sgt. Shucks put his hands on at practice? You heard about it? So, and then, heaven forbid, you have to do it in the game where millions of people have seen it
because they replaying this shit on TV at night.
Now it's stacked.
Now it's like, oh, shit, here he go again.
Yep.
Right?
And that's what I used to get a lot.
Like, oh, shit.
It's like Z-Bo. Like when Z-Bo smacked Lou Amundson in the game
Ain't no Z-Bo was on that type of time until he seen it. It was like ah shit
Those are the ones the sneaky ones you don't know until you say some shit. Nigga you know I bully the bullies
I'm the bully that the bully scared of. Where I come from the bullies get bullied
Man Z-Bo same cloth same The bully scared up where I come from speaking bully men's ebo
same cloth saying
We always basketball mm-hmm level respect
Because they know one of us gonna hurt one if it get to it and we turn it on one another
It's ain't nobody gonna be here bill. That's not it up. Yeah, right, right. It was rare that the the the
The enforcers
ever really...
Because they never respect.
Yeah.
It was always us stupid asses
that were trying to...
But it's all...
So us, the guys...
People, fuck you!
Ooh, ooh, no, no,
I didn't mean it like that.
It's the guys who people
thought were tough
and we went after.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's them dudes
who the league
and the media thought was tough.
Yep.
Them the ones I want.
Yep, yep, yep.
That's when your eyes get big.
You're like, oh.
Them the ones I want.
You're running what?
And your eyes get big.
You're like, okay.
Yeah, all right.
Say it again.
Oh, that's what you want?
Oh, you know all too well.
There's a few of them out here who we played against.
Who?
Who?
Who did what now?
Say it again.
Oh, we talking loud at the free throw line.
Oh, yeah.
To everybody. The bench and line. Oh, yeah to everybody bench and everybody. Oh
Yeah, we on that type of time tonight, okay
Y'all get excited and then a shower peel is this motherfucker didn't is a shower pill? They thought it was an actual pill? Oh, yeah. There ain't no pill.
Oh, you're taking a shower?
What you think, a strawberry shower pill?
Yeah, I'll be right back.
Put his clothes on.
He's still sweating. Still sweating.
Smelling like an animal.
You're going to take it when you get home.
Then it get to the point where you start putting your name on the board.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shower pill name.
Your name on the board.
Your last game, nigga.
Shower pill.
Shower pill. No, that's not a real thing. Your name on the board. Your last game, nigga. You're taking shower pills. What's the shower pill?
No, that's not a real thing.
No, it's not the vaporized thing you're putting in the shower.
No, it's not.
A lot of motherfuckers take shower pills every day.
They're like, what?
I've been taking the shower pill for a week straight.
That's just a Wednesday for me.
Yes, for those who don't know, yeah, when you're in the locker room,
all that stuff is getting monitored.
Who's the stinky booties?
Who's not taking shower? who's not taking a shower?
See the shower pill and then you see that same person at a function later that evening same night same at the restaurant
But she was going straight home
Had a college teammate like that. This is my freshman is doing senior dog
Like this is the most consistent shower pill I've ever seen
Like the dudes a senior and I was a freshman doing this dude used this dude used to, like, we would have a game practice.
He would ever close, he would always, it never failed, man.
He always smelt like, tss.
The night before.
The day before.
Disgusting.
Oh.
Man.
Man.
I had a few dudes in the league, like, you know,
I remember Sacramento has one of my teammates. You want to borrow this, I mean, I'm in Sacramento, I have one of my teammates.
You want to borrow this soap?
No, I'm good.
I'm good.
You sure?
I'm that motherfucker.
Just water, just wait.
Hold on, man.
Wait a minute, dawg.
Wait.
Just water.
And you know, them showers in that Sacramento shower,
that shit trickling out, too.
Man.
Two shower heads work out of four.
That shit trickling out of there. so he and that movie one two three
All people took a shot. Hey y'all know they know soapy
You know ain't nobody bring no
No, I'm straight up ain't no zest
Like hot steaming ass in his business y'all got full clothes on.
The motherfuckers walk right up under the wall,
and walk right up out of that motherfucker.
Same three, four teammates, every one.
On the bus.
They're the first ones out.
Hell, you be sitting there like.
I know, always.
I know y'all didn't play, but you warmed up.
We on the plane.
Hey, that's a, I ain't do nothing.
And that's the justification they give you.
I ain't braided, eh?
You warmed up before the game.
Pre-game and warmed up with us.
And you sweated.
Your balls stink.
You put on tights, nigga, so I know your nuts stink.
I see hot air in it all.
It stink, nigga.
Your nuts stink.
You stink, nigga.
As a human being that didn't play much in my college years,
as soon as you put the jersey on, it requires a shower.
It don't matter what you do beyond that point.
Go take a shower.
Oh, them college dudes that didn't play was the absolute worst.
College dudes that didn't play was the absolute worst.
They ain't going to even try to hide it.
Them dudes, these dudes in the league that didn't play,
they might, like I said, go.
How y'all consistently first
They didn't made y'all run on the treadmill all that pregame shit after the game
You just got off the treadmill. I saw you walking and sweating
While I was when I was icing
What you just got done?
You know get to work here. Yeah They got to get all that work here.
And you just got dressed and out of this bitch
before I'm done icing.
Just kissing the work and everything.
Nasty ass.
Then you saw that work automatically.
You don't deserve the work.
You don't even deserve the work.
You have to take the work from them
because you in the dirty mess.
Work, I know you have a sense of smell.
Damn, baby, you don't smell that?
You heard her say, standards and shit go out the window.
When you got that money.
You got that money, that fucking money.
Facts.
And they don't care.
Facts.
They don't give a fuck, man.
After practice nuts and all that.
All that.
Well, moving on.
After practice nuts.
Bitch, what's up?
I got your hotel room.
I'm talking about what?
Right after practice.
Right over there with you.
I think the moral of the story is everybody has enough time to take a shower.

So we're going to put three minutes on the clock. Got a question for you gentlemen.
We're going to try to keep it in that three minute window
because that's all they
pay for, but let's be real.
Which player who's still
in the playoffs
whose legacy would be most enhanced
by winning a title?
So what player that's still in the playoffs' legacy would
be most enhanced by winning a title this So what player that's still in the playoffs legacy would be most enhanced by winning a title this season?
Jason Tatum.
Joker.
I saw some interesting discussion amongst the basketball community.
Joker does reach that championship.
Two chips, two finals MVPs, three regular season MVPs.
There are some questions there and some debates that are going to...
Talking different right there.
And he don't give a fuck.
Some people's favorite players.
Just saying.
Out of everybody that's still around, legacy.
I mean, Tatum, I think he's just trying to start his legacy.
It ain't really built on nothing right now,
except for just his potential and talent.
I think Joker already got accolades as attributing to something that's historic.
So right now he's a three-time MVP, right? One-time.
So out of the last 40 years, he's fifth on the list behind Michael Jordan, LeBron, Bird, and Magic, right?
Three-time MVPs.
If he wins another championship and a finals MVP, who is he getting in front of?
Does it help him get closer to getting in front of?
It ain't about getting in front of.
He's fifth.
So does he go up to fourth?
No, because it's still only two championships.
But he has what?
Two finals MVPs?
Two trips, two finals.
But it's still.
Three MVPs and then how many all-NBAs?
Yeah, but it's still.
He's not done yet.
Oh, he's not done yet. So that's the thing, right?
So even if he gets one, he would still be fifth.
He'll still be in fifth.
What I'm saying is the two championships
now, if he get a third one,
it can make him now fourth.
Everybody else still has
more championships.
No, I get it, but it's
helping to celebrate the numbers.
Once he get done, then let's have this.
What I'm saying is if he wins this championship right now, he's in fifth spot, he's still going to be in fifth.
He's still going to be in fifth.
No, no.
He will have to win a third to even be considered in front of what, Bird?
No, that's what I'm saying.
So if you say right now this championship is adding on to the legacy, if he come backs and get a fourth mvp
now it just adds on to that third that third chance i'm saying there's we're talking about
this one this one right now for someone legacy where he is right now amongst the the greats he's
going to be in the last 40 years he's fifth but nobody else has a legacy to even extend that's
what i'm saying but what about i saying. I'll throw this out there.
What about Jalen Brunson and all
the narrative and talk about a small guard as
a number one option can't win a chip
if he somehow wills this Knicks team
to a championship. I think it's
the start of his legacy. It'll change
his legacy
because he doesn't really have one right now.
It'll help but
that's more for the Knicks.
More from Jalen Bronson.
That would be like a Knicks accomplishment.
Not necessarily Jalen Bronson.
We heard the buzzer.
We keep it going, though.
I think Jason Tatum.
Jason Tatum, because it puts him into superstar, the elite.
Because people say that's what's been missing.
Yeah, which is wild.
It puts him over to Booker's and all these guys.
It puts him in this upper room.
Shouldn't he already be there, though, based on how his career has played out?
He's there now because he's in that same room knocking on the door,
and once he gets that championship, he goes into the champion mode.
Is it the championship and the finals MVP?
Or he's going to get that anyway?
I think that would be hand in hand.
Would it be different for Tyron?
They're not winning the championship if Jalen Brown is the leading scorer.
Damn.
What you mean?
The Warriors won with Igo Iguodala being the finals MVP.
He wasn't the leading scorer.
Just like Tim Duncan.
When Tim Duncan and Kawhi got there, he Hawaii got the entire these go either So, huh?
So it was only both people you said but you want that that they want they want it because they say people shot that the media
Said they stopped LeBron James. They did I locked him up. We don't have it like 30 something
I guess you mean we're not gonna do that. Why did it go dollar get it? We're not because he stopped LeBron James
No, he didn't. In that game? No.
In that last game.
Not the series.
The game.
The closing game.
No.
So that's the only game that mattered?
Did he get the award?
No.
But it was three games prior to that.
I get it.
That's what I'm saying.
That's why Steph didn't get it.
Because he just had a bad last game closing the closeout game.
No, he had a bad full game. Oh game. He had a bad
full game.
Steph let him in scoring.
That was the last game.
He locked up Bronno. He held him at 36-13 rebounds,
nine assists.
That's a lockup.
Come on, let's not do that.
For LeBron,
for Tatum to win and get that
legacy start,
he has to get the MVP. Do you think it's different for Tatum to win and get that legacy start, he has to get the MVP.
But do you think it's different for Tatum based on the Celtics and obviously their history if he was on another squad with the same resume?
No, it brings the reason he gets into it.
Because for the media itself, the battle between L.A. and Boston, he's the one that pushed it over the top, right?
It's like, okay, yeah.
More banners, yeah.
We back on top.
So he becomes the king, you know,
and he got to, like,
it just puts him in another realm.
You know, with Joker, he's fifth right now.
He wins another one.
He's still fifth, right?
So he still has more,
he still has more accolades to do
just to get
For yeah, but he's but it pushes them closer right to getting those difficult I like that what I'm saying is the person he's catching his bird
I'm still fit capable boy. I'm saying now he's fifth with two chips two finals MVP
It's the if he gets the three chips three finals MVP. You're gonna put him in front of her at that point
It's a conversation that no it's not see cuz that's the only person he can go in front of. Bird is four.
And he put him in front of Bird
if he gets two more championships.
Bird has squads, though.
If he gets two more.
That is it.
With no other All-Stars on that roster.
Okay.
I'm just saying.
Hold on.
That's definitely a conversation.
I'm just asking.
That's definitely a conversation.
No, no, no.
But this is the problem.
It's not us who's going to do it.
Mainstream media has to say Joker is better than Bird out loud in public.
The same group that stopped Giannis from getting his third MVP, Jordan from getting his third MVP in a row,
LeBron from getting his third MVP in a row,
who stopped Jokic from getting his third MVP in a row because of Bird.
So now they're going to publicly come out and say,
Joker's in front of Bird when Joker wins his third or fourth championship.
Yeah.
That'll be an interesting day on the planet if that does happen.
Yeah, that's going to be.
Shout out to Aura Watch.
Make sure you use the discount code.
Help us help you.
Okay, Aura gave us a light bag.
We're trying to get that bag increased,
and the only way we can do that is with your support.
LeBron had what in the closeout game?
36?
For the series, he averaged.
Yeah, what did he average?
Hold on, let me pull it up.
36-13-9 for the series.
36-13, but he got locked up.
Right here, 36-13.
When he got locked up by Kawhi,
he was shooting 53% from the three,
50% from the field, averaging 28 and something, man.
If you beat LeBron James, you get the final decision.
Yeah, that's a lockup.
We was guarding him.
Yeah, that's like, Andre Goddard should have been like,
I know they said I won, but I give it to you in the back.
It was to the point where they couldn't give it to Curry
because that's like, I mean, you didn't really do very well.
You know what I mean?
It's like you didn't do very well.
Klay didn't play very well.
Right? It was just one of those things where it was like
We can't get you supposed out there not doing that, you know, we're not why not they did it before
That's a logo
Well shit, you see but you see you see what the cane but you see what they're protecting they're protecting they're protecting
He got later logo as well. They're both logos. So it can't be so he's the only one that ever won it, which was the very first one.
So this shit is definitely, come on now.
So if you don't give it to a guy because he's not playing well on the winning team, then who else?
Iggy Game 6 at 25.
What does Steph have?
5-5.
What does Steph average for the series?
Like 20-17.
What was Steph's last game?
I'm pulling it up.
Okay.
I'm one game.
You're not going to have
one game here at 25.
So Steph had 25
as well that game.
25-25.
It was 8 for 19.
Iggy was 9 for 20.
I don't know if that
doesn't mean anything.
So he was locking
Brown down
and he had 25.
Locking Brown down.
What did Brown have
that last game?
Graymon had 16-10
and 11 in that game
if you care.
He had a triple dunk
because they were
thinking about giving it to him.
He could have gave it to Draymond.
The reason why they gave it to Iggy is because he hit the shots that put them away.
So that game six, LeBron had 32, 18 rebounds, nine assists.
Yeah.
It was the put away.
It was the put away.
Come on, man.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I hate the media, man.
Yeah, that's just.
They could have gave it to anybody.
They should have gave it to Draymond.
Because I'm pretty sure he played the most consistent throughout the game. Nah, hell nah.
The most consistent? Hell nah.
I'm glad they didn't give it to Draymond.
Damn. They should have
gave it to the most valuable player in the
finals. And that's LeBron James.
They should have.
He lost Kyrie.
They wanted to give it to somebody on the winning team.
Dover, Dover.
You don't get to lose and get winning team. Dova, Dova. Draymond.
You don't get to lose and get an award.
They've done it.
They've done it.
Who?
Jerry West.
Jerry West got it?
Yeah, that's what we just said.
The very first Finals MVP ever.
Yeah, they never did it again.
Was it to a loser?
They never did it again.
But they did.
They made a mistake.
The internet made a mistake after that.
They did.
It was co-rookie of the year before.
Over time, there's been a couple guys who we both... I'm saying co-rookie of the year.
Co-rookie of the year.
There's some shit that it deserves.
There's some shit that deserves co-MVP.
Absolutely.
I win.
No, what I'm saying is like...
No, with this. I'm saying is like...
I'm just talking about winning.
They give LeBron an award.
But they did it before. It's called Finals MVP.
But they did it. He was the most valuable player in the Finals.
Most valuable player. That was an accident.
That was an accident. It was drunk.
I'm just saying, some of these awards,
you got to call it what it is. Most valuable.
I think Iggy got seven votes.
LeBron got four, if I'm not mistaken, from that
situation. For him to get Most valuable I think he got with seven votes Brian got four if I'm not mistaken from that situation, but so it listen so they
For him to get full it was considering it. Yes, so they should have went on
They got a look at it. He lost so we can't just give it to the negative loss
But there's some things that should be cold there's some things like there's been a plenty of times where if you're sitting there like like the
yokage and and and um and b j oh c co-mvp i wouldn't have been mad at it when you can't figure
it out and you know they're not going in there debating they're just going in there all right
who you you okay okay monkey see monkey do right you okay, monkey see monkey do, right? You know, just monkey see monkey do.
You know, there's a couple years where, you know, when it's really close and y'all are
sitting there, like if we had to go in there and debate who's the winner, maybe Cole.
There wasn't no debate.
It was 79 to 14.
I know it wasn't.
But if you had to go in there.
Because they were scared to.
If you had to go in there and debate it What gives Joker they wouldn't the year before it could have been cold well Joker and Embiid I think that would have been fair
But this year
It was just pure blowout huh? Yeah, cuz the other real candidates didn't you know and be was knocked out
Giannis ended up getting hurt later in the season
Like the real candidate is the guy who his team was preseason
ranked 15. He only got 14 votes.
No, I'm saying his team is preseason
ranked 14 and they made
first place. His team
was ranked preseason number one
and came in second.
It should have been a little closer than that.
But, you know, there's
neither here nor there. But I'm just saying
some things warrant co. But the fact that they don't have a conversation and vote together and
they just send it at home and some people are just sitting there watching whatever and they just
checking shit off sending it on yeah yeah that jk grand hill rookie year like that shit was like
you can't yeah that's a lot couldn't Yeah, that was the last call. Couldn't pick one.
They couldn't? So that
means they really probably deliberated on that.
Yeah, they couldn't pick one. Because
if they've just sent votes in, I'm
pretty sure it didn't come back tied.
So that means they had a discussion
and they was like, I don't know.
And ever since then, they're like, you know what?
We're just going to
just mail your shit in.
Fuck it.
It easy.
All right, well, speaking of MVP talk, home team had yet to win a game in the Wolves Nuggets Series.
And Denver regained the momentum with two big road wins in Minnesota to even things up.
And in game five, Jokic received his MVP trophy before tip-off,
then proceeded to treat the defensive player of the year, Rudy Go like one of his horses to help Denver get their third straight win
the Wolves without Mike Conley who missed a game with an Achilles injury
suffered on the final offensive possession in game four it was a
back-and-forth game in the first half but the Nuggets took a six-point lead in
the break extended to 14 after the third. Juggler showed why he's the MVP, dropping 40 points, 7 rebounds, and
13 assists with 0
turnovers. 15 for 22
from the field, 2 for 3 from deep, and
8 for 9 from the line. Aaron Gordon
had 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Jamal Murray got it going in the second half,
finishing with 16 points and 4 assists.
On the other side of the ball, Anthony Edwards
followed up his 44-point franchise record
set of performance in game 4 with 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 9 assists. Ant was 5 for 15 from the field. On the other side of the ball, Anthony Edwards followed up his 44-point franchise record set in a game.
With 18 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists.
Ant was 5 for 15 from the field, 1 for 5 from 3.
Cat appeared to tweak his surgically repaired knee.
That right there.
Cat appeared to tweak his surgically repaired knee in the first quarter, but remained in the game.
Led the Wolves in scoring with 23 points, also had 6 rebounds.
Nikhil Alexander-Walker replaced Conley in the starting lineup, had 14 of five.
Gobert was barbecue chicken defensively,
but had a solid game on the other side of the floor.
18 points and 11 rebounds.
He was seven for seven from the field.
Did not matter, though, as Kane likes to say, Joker.
Oh, he burping that baby.
He burping that son of two babies.
Oui, oui.
Oui, oui, oui. He's burping him. So Nug. Wee-wee. Wee-wee-wee.
He's burping him.
So Nuggets now take a 3-2 lead going back to Minnesota for game six.
And Jokic joins CP3 as the only players in NBA playoff history with a 40-point 10-assist game with no turnovers.
You rolling with that, Staggill?
Yeah.
Okay.
On a Tuesday.
No zero.
Hell yeah.
40-10, zero-6, which is wild considering, obviously, he's a 40 team on a Tuesday and those you 40 tens there's it which is wild considering obviously he's a big man, but after the game Ant-Man gave his thoughts on Joker's performance
I just laugh
That's all I can do. I mean, I can't I can't be mad
No, cuz he just he good man
I think I said that after gave one word more and game to like he MVP best for an NBA
And he showed it the last three games today because hope that'll keep it tonight. He was special tonight
I gotta give him his power. There was just I mean, I don't know. I don't know what we supposed to do
It was he was that guy tonight
You gotta let his do yeah, he's I know, all I can do is laugh,
because you getting your ass brushed.
I ain't got to guard him.
Like you said the other game, like, shit, I ain't got to guard him.
You got to ask Rudy and Captain him.
Because I ain't got to guard him.
So, question for the couch.
What statement did Jokic make dominating the defensive player
of the year like this in game five?
I feel like he's
setting up these questions, man.
I'm getting
good answers from you guys. Basketball discourse.
This is nothing new. So weird,
man. His eyes light up when
he sees Rudy Gobert.
You had matchups
when you saw certain players who
people thought was like that. Great defensive players.
Who the people thought were great defensive players.
You like, bring them on.
And that's the same thing with this.
Everybody praising him.
Hey.
I mean, a lot of people clowning Gobert,
but this isn't something that's just strictly for him.
A lot of dudes have gotten that work.
What other dudes?
What other dudes?
What other dudes got that work?
Not many.
Specific. Not many. that word? Not many.
Not many.
Specific.
Not many.
Other teams that were previously in the playoffs.
Other teams.
What's his name start with?
The first letter of the alphabet.
A.D. Davis.
Huh?
A.D.? Light up when I see him.
Let's not do this.
What does Jokic...
Don't do this.
What does he score against A.D.? 40ic what does he score
against AD
40
on their head to head
fuck the assist cause that's what makes it look better
here we go
we had 42
it's a difference right
when you're saying he had a triple double
if you take the assist out
it was the average of 25 and 12 versus 80s averaging 20-something.
You can't take...
I can't...
I can't because this motherfucker know how to pass, too.
He does this to everybody.
You know what I mean?
This motherfucker know how to pass.
That's a part of basketball.
He does this to everybody.
That's a part of basketball.
He does it to everybody.
No.
You guys are making it seem like it's because he won the defensive player.
He's supposed to stop this nigga.
Ain't nobody's been able to stop him.
He's supposed to make it hard.
No, he's not. He's the best player in the NBA. he's supposed to stop this nigga. Ain't nobody's going to be able to stop him. He's supposed to make it hard. No, he's not.
He's the best player in the NBA. He's the MVP.
He's going to have his way
against whoever you put on him.
MVP versus
defensive player of the year, meaning
you're supposed to be the best
of the best one-on-one
guy. No, you're not. You're just the defensive
player of the year. You don't have to be the best
of the shit. You don't have to be the best of the shit. That's crazy. You don't have to be the best at a nothing, nothing, nothing.
Because guess what?
Sangoon gave this nigga, Wimby, 45.
And everybody was like, oh, he's supposed to be the defensive.
Everybody gave Wimby fucking shit.
He won defensive player of the year.
What are we supposed to see?
Oh, you're supposed to stop everybody?
Wimby's 19, 20 years old, though.
You just play good defense all year long.
Wait, how many times has Sangoon do that?
I don't know, man.
Because I know Wimby, I mean, not Wimby, but I know Jokic does it to Rudy every time.
And AD.
And AD.
Every time.
And MB.
And whoever the fuck else was learning.
Wait for them to pull it up, dude.
He averaged how much this year?
29? No. 10? No, he doesn much this year? 29, 10, and 9?
10 and 9, something like that?
He's just making that up.
For his stats?
Joker's stats for the year?
What, 29, 10, and 9?
No, he doesn't average 29.
He doesn't average 29.
27?
28?
What's his stats?
So, Jokic averaged 28, 16, and 10 assists.
Didn't I just say 28, 29? Against the Lakers.
Against the Lakers. This postseason. Season
stats. Oh, with a Jokic average
for the season? Oh yeah, he didn't average 28.
Pulling it up. But
we're talking... 26, 12, and
9 assists. 26, 12, and 9.
For everybody. But my thing is, right,
everybody is praising Rudy for being the defensive When he said 12 and 9, you know everybody but my thing is right
Everybody is praising Rudy for being the defensive player of the year. Nobody is probably everybody Oh, they gave me a fucking war. No wonder. No one's praising him. Everybody's thinking he get he robbed because he's getting torched
So no one's praising him people
He got the war because people said he was the defense player here the voters right the voters did. Right, the voters said he was the defense player of the year.
You said it as well.
So, we're going on what we see game in, game out
when he plays this one specific guy.
Every time he sees him, regular season, playoffs,
he is torturing you, and you ain't done nothing about it. He got my number. 2810-302110,
30-11-7, 35-14-9, 47-12-5, 24-9-13, 24-6-6, 25-15-14, 24-7-9, 20-12-16, we didn't play, 266 25 15 14 24 7 9
2012 16 we didn't play 25 10 32 10 41 11 damn
Got my number next
The worst got my number name worst percentage. He shot against Rudy. What have you done to?
For he got my number. Next.
Show me the stats. Everybody else got the same type of numbers against me.
You can't. Everybody ain't got
four defense players in your trophies.
Everybody else ain't Joker, though.
Joker got my number. I can't fuck
with this dude. He got left hand, right hand.
He got a jump shot. He got every
fucking thing. That's why he got
three MVPs.
I can't fuck with dude.
You got four defensive players a year?
I can't fuck with dude.
But everybody else can move the fuck around, though.
When I match up against him.
Everybody else who?
Like who?
Everybody else in the league.
They whoop his ass.
No, they don't.
That's why he's four-time defensive player of the year.
Okay, let's do it.
Yeah.
Okay?
Joker got his number.
We get it. Just like Hakeem Olajuwon has Shax number and they
When you match up with the dream man, I just he had my number
Yeah, my number. He didn't have a B. Yeah, 51 39 33 for he didn't have a B's number. So
Okay, so let's try this go someone else. Okay
You want to try Andy Davis?
First of all,
he didn't have 16-year-old
Wimby's number.
Wimby became the number one prospect
in the world
because a video of him and Rudy
playing one-on-one,
and it was lunch meet time.
I'm just saying.
You don't remember that? Just saying. Just sound like lunch meet time. I'm just saying. No, you're not.
You don't remember that?
Just saying.
Sound like y'all don't like William.
Gobert.
Pate.
That's all it sound like.
What you saying?
Just like how Brandon don't like Donovan,
y'all don't like Rudy.
Who?
Ain't about.
Not liking him.
Not liking him or not.
I'm looking at the fact
that he's motherfucking getting torched.
And everybody gets torched by Joker.
And you ain't doing nothing to help your team win.
Seems like to me everybody gets torched by Joker. And your team did better the game help your team win. Seems like to me everybody gets torched by Joker.
And your team did better the game you didn't fucking play on him.
He had 18-11.
And?
The nigga had 40 and y'all lost.
It happens.
Damn.
3-2.
We got another chance when we come back.
3-2.
How many blocks did Rudy have?
Anthony Davis, 38, 38, 31, 32.
Rudy had two blocks in the game, too. Two blocks, two steals. That's all? Andy Davis 38 38 31 30 they really had to
Two blocks to
But the minutes he play replayed 40 minutes
It's more for game affecting nothing no, that's the problem. No, yeah, you're affecting shit 40 minutes
Hmm on the floor you ain't doing nothing. You know, because he's a weak side defender, not an on-ball defender.
And I think the awards of him winning, people think he's an on-ball defender.
So he sits there and says, I got him.
No, no, fuck you.
That's not your strength.
Your strength is someone has him, you alter the shot.
Because when you're playing one-on-one versus someone, they're torturing you.
You are a great help defender.
You are a great plug-in guy.
Great alter block shot.
That's who you are.
Because you know when to sit down on the person.
You know when not to block.
Like, that's who you are. when you have to guard the guy by yourself
You can't guard these guys. That's not your strength
Nobody in the NBA can guard anybody one-on-one
That's that's why I call it team more team decent
Anthony Anthony Davis can't guard Joker one on one Anthony Davis can't guard Joker one on one
Can Anthony Davis guard Joker one on one
You need to grow a set of nuts
Can he guard
I didn't ask you that
I'm not asking you about no award
I'm asking you Anthony Davis can he guard Joker one on one
Better than Rudy
Let's see
Let's see what Anthony Davis
I do remember
Can you come in here with a diaper and a bib? Oh, he was burping. Okay, he put it on my shoulder
Oh, he's burping him. What are we talking about? You not in me burping everybody
Burping everybody now
That was the week that's old shit just talking about the guy who he's playing with in this series, right?
Defense All right We're talking about the guy who he's playing with in this series right here. We're talking about team defense. We're talking about defensive player of the year.
I want to see Rudy do something different.
All right, let me see.
I mean, since we burped.
I want to see Rudy.
When was the last thing games?
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
We can go to the playoffs, but already at 30.
What is it?
Stat man, stat man.
Yeah, that's me.
I know.
13, nine, 15, four, 25, seven, 28, nine, 22, 14, 23, 15, 10, 4, 17, 8, 32, 9, 17, 11.
Seventeens?
Did you just spit out...
That's seventeens?
Yeah, that's what Yoki just...
Oh, this is Anthony Davis?
You don't know what you're looking up, that man?
What you doing?
So, Anthony Davis is averaging 25.
So this is Anthony Davis averaging 25 against Showcase.
Let me spin it around.
Man, Stats beats opinion every time.
Does it, though?
Yeah, always.
In a narrative-based world?
Mm-hmm
You can make people believe whatever you want. He does
One time stop this man from backing him down
That's all this just you can't that's not what it does. That's not what he does. So what does he do? So what is he all he outside defense plays team defense exactly?
Just like any other player. Just like any other player.
So let me ask you this, Rashad.
I'll tell you the question.
So with your statement that you just made, right,
should the starting five get a trophy for defensive player of the year?
If it's a team defense thing, right?
Okay, Jokic.
Here's Jokic's point.
So everybody shouldn't get a trophy, right?
No, I'm an anchor.
Jokic.
Yes, hey, Meshach.
Yes, I hear you. Absolutely.
That's what he's
put out there. That's what he gets the award
for.
Let me ask you this.
In the game that we played, in the game that
you're pretty good at with the ball in your hand, right?
There's another side where somebody has to play,
guard you, right?
Huh?
Like, eventually there has to be some type of 101.
What's wrong with that?
Never?
No.
Never?
And you know that.
Never?
And you know that.
Send him to me.
I got your back.
Send him to me.
He ain't even doing that.
But I'm just saying, even for you. He ain't even doing that. But I'm just saying,
even for you. He ain't even doing that, Rashad.
Even for you. When Mello was out there on an island, it was,
don't worry, I got your back.
You and MC, you and MC
back there, y'all was the defensive
players. He ain't even doing that right now. What you mean?
He played 40 minutes. He had
two blocks. They not coming in there.
The goal is coming in there.
He can't block that.
That's tough to get.
No one's blocking that shit.
Shit.
No one's blocking that.
So everything I just said, I just said he was a great help side defender, not an on-ball defender.
Which means if you take him off the ball, put cat on him, it would be a better defensive strategy because he gets the help
because it's team defense.
If he's on the ball guarding him by himself,
he can't do nothing.
Did not just fucking say that.
But you're not watching the game.
See, you pretend you...
You're not watching the game.
What you do is...
Cat got into foul trouble
trying to guard Dopey.
I didn't say that.
I didn't care about that.
That's what you just said.
I didn't care.
I just...
The nigga got in foul trouble.
I just let you talk.
I just said that. He pretended what I was, I was stupid, to then talk to you to say the same shit.
What'd you say?
Nothing.
Okay.
So what I said is the same thing I said.
Just talk to him.
Rudy is a great team.
Rudy is a great team defensive player.
Yes.
An anchor of a great team.
I get it. Because we play team. We're not out there playing one- defensive. Yes. I know anchor of a great team. I gave because we played
We're not out there
I said that we're not
I said that I said that I said he's a great team defender. That's why I got the award not a great on ball
That's why he got exactly what I said what he got though. Why are you arguing with me saying what I'm saying?
You're saying you're pretending you're saying
You're saying that I'm saying nobody can go I like red and blue. Oh, oh you like red and blue. I like blue and red
No, I'm not Gilbert you just want me to say the same thing you want to be right
Oh, you want to be right so bad? Hold on, that you can go back and go, you saying what I'm saying?
No, nigga, you're hearing what you want to hear.
Hold on.
You're hearing yourself be right, and everybody else is hearing something different.
Okay, let me try.
Ain't that what I just said?
No, nigga, that's not what you just said.
Let me try what you just said.
Okay, let me try to say what I just said.
Well, let me tell you this.
Y'all are saying the same thing.
I know we are.
So if we're saying the same thing, why does he want to be right?
Because you want to be right.
You want to be right.
I'm protecting Rudy.
Y'all are just saying the same thing.
I'm protecting Rudy.
I said.
I'm protecting Rudy.
I'm the one who said the statement first.
So that means you didn't say no statement.
So I just said.
So y'all are saying the same thing.
And I just said he ain't even doing that.
Y'all are saying he great help team defend all that shit, right? Y'all are saying that Rudy is getting his ass whooped. And I'm saying. On thing, and I just say he ain't even doing that. Y'all saying he great help team defender.
Y'all saying that Rudy is getting his ass whooped.
I'm saying he ain't got a chance against the nigga.
And I'm saying he ain't doing shit off the ball neither.
And I'm saying he ain't got a chance.
I said he got his number.
On the ball, yes.
But off the ball, so my damn shot fucking listen.
But ain't that what I'm saying, K?
Yes.
He don't have a chance.
He got his number.
Get together, James.
So why is it there's a continued conversation after that?
Because I'm saying something different.
What are you saying?
He's saying something different, dog.
He's not doing shit off the ball.
How is that different than me saying he don't have a chance?
Because you said they're a great team to face.
He don't have a chance against Joker.
He got his number.
Because it's on the ball.
He got his number.
On the ball.
There's a such thing as being off the ball, yes?
Yes. I mean, you said a great thing as being off the ball, yes? Yes.
I mean, you should agree, too.
So this is what I'm saying.
Off the ball as well as on the ball.
He ain't, he's, we all, we all.
I disagree with that.
So he.
I disagree with that.
So he pointed out something in game three where Rudy is in no man's land off the ball,
and that's how Aaron Gordon went 11 for 12 from the field.
Because he's guarding Aaron Gordon.
I'm saying we slowed the shit down.
But that's not what happened.
So you want to lie against the field.
Rudy got into foul.
I mean, Cat got into foul trouble.
I said game three, Rashad.
Game three.
Rashad, game three.
That's the game I'm talking about.
In Minnesota.
Got in foul.
Cat got in foul trouble.
He was on the floor, is what I'm saying I'm saying garden do so he didn't play no minutes
You remember so hold on fuck. That's what he told her. It's okay
So Carl Anthony Towns played no minutes in game three. Oh, of course he played
So what I'm saying is the minutes when he was on the floor
He's guarding the Cola. Mm-hmm. Rudy is in no man's land affecting nothing. He's
doing the same shit when he's off the ball
in game four. So what do you
mean by affecting nothing? What does that mean?
Aaron Gordon went 11 for 12 from the field.
Rudy was guarding with a few of them plays. Nicola's
going into his move. You ain't doing
nothing. Yeah, because you coming to help
and you ain't doing shit. You ain't
contesting it. You ain't blocking. You ain't
staying on Aaron Gordon.
So, therefore, you a liability in this series.
I'm a liability.
Absolutely.
In this series. So, who else you going to put in?
In this series.
Who else are you going to put in that's going to do a better job than me?
He not doing shit.
Who else are you going to put in that's going to do a better job than me?
Nas Reed.
So, when you put him in.
Kyle Anderson.
When you put him in.
What happened?
Whoever was guarding him game two.
So, my thing is, rooted in playing game two they
Look better defensively
What was Nicola's numbers in game two please
Pulling it up now doogie how's your I'm still I was still on but my thing is y'all saying the same yes on the ball
We all know he ain't got a chance so game two off the ball
is So game two. Off the ball is what I'm looking at.
16, 16 rebounds, 8 assists.
Say it again?
16.16 rebounds, 8 assists.
That's what I said.
He's arguing.
16, 16, and 8.
He's arguing against me.
I never argue against you. To argue against you with the same point.
What was the other games that Rudy played in?
Games one, three.
Game one, Joker had 32, 8, 9 assists. Okay. Game three? Game three, he had 24, 14 had 32 8 9 assists okay game three game
three he had 24 14 rebounds 9 assists game for 35 7 & 7 game 5 47 rebounds 13
this I closed my case what's the what's the series record what's the series three
close my case so now you want to move so so so so so now it's just about that
now no you just named the numbers so so so now it's just about that now. No, you just named the numbers
So so what is the one game? So why you actually never was one games when he had 32?
Yeah, right and then they lose game to Rudy didn't play in game two. So who won game two?
And Nicola had 16 points game three who won game three
Nuggets and how many points in the cola have 24 14 9 and one game for the Nuggets. And how many points did Nikola have? 24, 14, and 9. And who won game four?
The Nuggets off the board. And how many points did he have in that game? 35, 7, and 7. And who won the next game?
Denver. Denver's game. So what's the rate? Isn't it 3-2? Yeah. So now you're gonna put the winnings.
What two games that the first two games? You don't watch the games. So the first two games,
number one. He scored 32 and 16. So game two, he had 16. Rudy played in game one.
Rudy had the baby.
Rudy did not play in game two.
Game one, Rudy played.
He got his ass busted.
The boy had 32.
Mm-hmm.
So he ain't affected on the ball or off the ball.
Game three, he had 24.
24.
Rudy played.
24.
Rudy played.
And then?
Rudy played.
Rudy played in that game.
So that's a bad game for Rudy.
No.
That's a good game for Nicole.
It's a good game for Nicole. It's a good game for Nicole.
Because Rudy is out there.
Because Rudy is out there.
I'm just saying that.
Because if you say Anthony Davis is getting busted, he only averages 20 and 10 versus Anthony Davis.
So 24 is getting your ass busted.
If you're saying Anthony Davis is getting his ass busted, 20 and 10.
I'm asking.
20 and 10.
I'm asking.
Is that getting his ass busted?
You said he's getting his ass busted. You said he's getting his ass busted. So if 20 and 10 and
Six assists in the last 23 games against Andy Davis if that is getting his ass busted sure enough 24 is
For the defense to play the year if you got his number and you're busting my ass and we're three to
Good take this you ain't doing shit off the ball need we'll take it. So the question for you
Let's go to the film already one girl. I don't win. You already won. You don't have to keep giving your points. It ain't got nothing to do with you. You're lying. It ain't got nothing to
do with you. You're lying. You wouldn't even keep trying. It don't have nothing to do with
you because you said you just took what I said and gave it to King. It has nothing to
do with you sir. Has nothing to do with you. You just took my words and gave it to King.
That's all you did.
Can we stick together here on Gil's Arena?
We got nice oral watches.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
We got lovely time pieces.
You're like...
Ooh, Sacre Blue.
Sacre.
Blue.
Right here. These right here.'t these right here that that these right you're you're the biggest dude on the court
this is when this is what you got to do to hustle back these plays right here on the ball plays is
fine these are the plays you got to hustle back Rudy you can't be running with Michael Porter
Jr. right when Nicola has a ball those little plays you got it. You have to get back
Right. Okay go
Like so I don't one play that that's a bad defensive play
Is that the reason why shouldn't have made shouldn't got defensive player to you?
No, I'm just saying those because it is play so you trying are you I'm
Asking a question. I'm trying to keep moving. I has nothing to do with you because all you do is just gonna point out
You point now you're gonna say something I said what I'm saying. You're pointing out a play.
You're going to say something I said and give it to Kenyon like you said it.
It's asking a play.
Boom.
Hey, rewind, rewind, rewind.
Now, look who.
This goes for the New York.
This goes.
Right here.
Stop right here.
This goes for the Indiana Pacers.
Rick Carlisle.
Right?
This has nothing to do with you right here. Rick carlisle this is what we're saying look who's shooting
right look who's challenging in the shot look who gets to lay up now go this is called i'm gonna
challenge so if josh hartz were to go get that rebound, I'm going to keep moving. You can sit there and mire all you motherfucking won't.
Ah, layup.
Easy lay.
Right?
You do that a couple games, trust me, he would not be paying attention to admiring his shot or going to try to get an offensive rebound.
But my question for you, do the Pacers have somebody on their roster who can make a play like that?
I mean, look. I'm just saying, look at Joker. Get offensive rebound. But my question for you is do the Pacers have somebody on their roster who can make a play like that? I mean, look, I'm just saying, look at, look at Joker, get that rebound and with that's, but that's in a split second.
But what I'm saying is, who led the league in assists this year?
Halliburton.
Okay.
So that means, but it's Hallie getting that rebound.
You gotta get somebody, you gotta get somebody.
Jay Kidd is like, if I get the ball, if I get it, if I get it I ain't got to get it from Kenyan
If Kenyan got it he throwing it if not give it to Jason kid he throwing it
So one of the two is throwing that motherfucker down there. So this is what this is what
Pacers have to do to keep them from trying to offensive rebound a couple of these easy layups
You get it or you don't you get it or you don't. You get it or you don't. You're going to motherfucking be aware of that shit
that his ass is leaking out.
Shit is leaking out.
Because they're going to
show this shit at halftime
like, hey,
he's leaking out,
so let's be aware of that.
Right?
Especially if he get one.
Yeah.
If he get one,
you're going to talk about
that shit at the quarter.
Or time out.
Trust me, that fucks up.
Trust me, that fucks your shot up.
When you're trying to shoot
and the motherfucker
run past you,
you ain't doing
no follow through. You ain't doing no follow through.
You ain't doing none of that.
Because it's not the old school way of coaching and things like that.
If he shoot it, then the other guard get back.
It's that shit, right?
Yeah.
If the point guard shoot it, the two guards back, right?
It ain't that way of playing basketball anymore.
Because they're not teaching it.
They're not coaching it.
So it definitely will work.
And shit, most of my point guards is fucking up trying to get to the basket. So they can get back on defense. not teaching and not coaching it mm-hmm so it it definitely will work and most
of my shit most of my point guards is fucking they're trying to get to the
basket get back on the day in the paint mm-hmm like if you Steph Curry like he's
not he's definitely gonna be the first person back cuz he's in every action mm-hmm
so what's been the difference with Denver in games one and two at home
versus games five all right he just figured out what they need to do
and what they need to get about,
who needs to be the aggressor.
I think they slowed down.
I think one and two was they sped them up
and they did things they wasn't used to doing.
And then three and four, they slowed it down all the way.
And they went back to film and figured out all right
this is what we've been fucking up on this is what we've been impatient with you slow the fucking
game down nicola's gonna have mismatches and if we get one-on-one opportunities with rudy cat
whoever the hell down there they let us go let's go if they don't y'all know what to do move it
out the ball that's what I seen the difference was I mean
That's the one thing that I knew if they sped him up and get him uncomfortable They have a chance if they slowed it down and they let him get comfortable
Good fucking luck
And I just told somebody yesterday like hey, man
I knew I had the Timberwolves making it out of here, but now that they done figured it out. This is fucking
I feel like and everybody everybody now, y'all, y'all, you know, y'all digging their grave.
It's like,
okay,
you see the Nuggets
as defending champs
trick off two,
not one,
but two games at home.
Two games.
Go down 0-2.
And we talked about this
the other day.
There's at least a thought
that,
all right,
Timberwolves could get
smacked in game three.
They're going to win
at least one of these games
at home.
They did not.
Shout out to the Nuggets.
But also just looking at Joker, Jamal Murray,
but also what Aaron Gordon's been doing.
Last year's against the Lakers,
MPJ was kind of that X factor,
that third wheel of the big three.
Aaron Gordon has been super consistent and reliable.
He's bringing the ball up.
They took it out of Murray's hands,
get rid of the pressure, and not going to bring nobody up to pressure him because he can go right by him and do his thing.
So I think making him the facilitator made them a bigger threat.
And now he's doing what he's supposed to have been doing since he's been in Denver,
to my point.
I think he's always been talented enough to do what he's doing now.
He's just been hiding so to be able to come out to the
light
Show him what he can really do
Ain't nobody imagine his energy
Play the huge fact in the wedding last year
Understood his role last year
Realized probably one thing he needed to be better at was making shots.
And he's making the corner threes and making,
just making threes overall period at a decent clip,
as well as him.
And once, like, you got a guy that's a willing passer like Nicola,
it makes your job easy when you know how to play basketball.
Like, he just, just read and react, right? He just reads, like, and,
till they spend a lot of time practicing it,
watching film and talking about things, man.
So it's, no, it's good to see Aaron Gordon playing well,
but not like, yeah.
So each series, during the playoff run,
it can always be somebody different, right?
You know who your star is going to be.
You know who you can rely on,
who you're going to rely on game in, game out.
You know what you expect out of Nicola.
You know what you expect out of Jamal Murray.
But like you said, against the Lakers,
it was Michael Porter Jr. had to match up, right?
And the ball found him, and he he capitalized so now coming into this series
Minnesota's like we're not gonna let Michael Porter jr. Get off. Mm-hmm
Now they got another problem. I'm saying Aaron Gordon
So it's just like any playoff series man when guys
Teams want to take certain things away. There's opportunities for other teams for other guys and he's capitalizing on it and like I said in a bit and the
beneficial thing is he has a willing passer for an athlete that ain't nothing
better just have a willing passer you can guard I mean I can guard, I mean, I can guard Murray.
The game plan is here if you just look at it.
You got a guy who's taking 21-17 shots, 14 shots, but only five 7-3s.
Zero-3s last game, not shooting free throws.
He's averaging one point free throw in this series.
Let's me know, okay, when he does put it on the floor,
he's going to pull up. He's going to pull up for a mid-range. So guard him as if he's going to pull
up for a mid-range because that's where he's, that's his bread and butter. He's not going to
the basket enough to get hit. So it's not like he's, it's not like he's trying to generate fouls. He hasn't shot more than six free throws in the whole
playoffs. That's with him getting fouled, that's with technicals. The man ain't shot
more than six free throws in the whole series. This series, last series. So that means he wants to pull
up jumper, which means
play him to the rim. Let him, make him
go all the way. Let's see his
layup package. Let's see
if he wants to be hit a little bit because
he's going and stopping
and pulling up. So I know he's
playing in a realm of, alright,
if he shoots a three, yeah, we're going
to go, if we go under, he's going to shoot a three.
If not, when he gets to going, he's pulling up.
So stay behind and let him go all the way to see if he's going to make that
because he's not making that pass to Gordon and all that.
That's Yoka's job.
So I'm going to play Murray to the basket the whole time.
I want to see if you're going to take 10 free throws.
Because right now, like last game, last game, 14 shots, 7 for 14, no three, no free throw.
Don't want to get hit.
I mean, Michael Porter Jr. is probably shooting more free throws than him.
I'm just exaggerating.
No, I think they're taking that away, the three away from him, though.
I think he won't shoot the three.
They're just doing a good job taking him off the line.
They're forcing him into the midrange.
And then it's too crowded down there because you got Joker rolling
and you got Aaron in the dunker.
So it's like, where can you go if you were trying to go down there and lay it up?
And that's why I said because it's so crowded down there,
play behind him, stop trying to beat him to the spot.
It's not like he can't finish, though.
I think that's the thing with him is you don't want to force him to try to finish
because then you're opening up a whole other monster.
But I do see your point, though.
If that's an option to take to push him into trying to make fouls
and trying to make plays down there, with Rudy down there, with Cat down there.
Even Michael Porter Jr., zero free throws in the last two games.
They're not trying.
They're not trying to go to the rim at all.
They're not.
That's what, 10 shots, took seven threes in that.
But let's switch it to the other side.
So, even with the Wolves back against the wall facing elimination in game six,
Anthony Edwards still has supreme confidence in himself and his squad.
So according to ESPN's Dan McMenamin, as Ant was leaving the arena,
he told a Nuggets locker room attendant, see you game seven.
But my question for you guys on this couch,
what type of performance will Ant need to have
for the Wolves to force at game seven?
If we saw the 44, game four, took a L.
AT in this game, took a L.
I mean, he could have a nickel in the garden at this point.
69 in the garden.
The Boston garden.
This shit is fucking around.
Unless he's going to try to have 81 and just say,
hey, I can't rely on the rest of these motherfuckers.
Y'all can't do nothing for me.
He better watch. Listen, he better watch.
Listen, he sit at home tonight.
He turned on yesterday's game.
Look what Brunson did.
Motherfucker, you don't have to take 35 shots.
I don't know, man.
I think he started slow.
I think that's what he alluded to.
He was like one for eight, one for nine.
Yeah, one for eight in the first half, five points.
So when you start slow like that, you already know that you're starting behind the ball
when you're trying to keep the team in the game throughout the first half going into the third quarter.
I think that's the energy he felt like we need to take it up a notch.
To get to game seven, I need to keep the team in the loop with my confidence.
And you go one for seven, everyone's already knowing we behind the ball cuz you not
You not got you don't got it going and if cat don't got it going
You know he usually get it going from the three like if he can hitting his first three four shots
They like alright cat got it going now. I've come in he hit a couple shots
McDaniels if he hit his corner three, that's what the first two games felt like.
Everybody's hitting on all cylinders.
Now, if Ant-Man ain't hitting, Cat not hitting, they not getting no stops.
It's just nasty.
That's what it looked like the last three games.
What happened to layups?
They don't even attack the rim like that, except for him.
He's shooting, but he's going to have to come out and watch Anthony Edwards.
He's the only one who's trying to get to the rim, and they and they taking charge They smart anything in charges. Yeah, they taking charge. I mean pull up but he cat take your ass down to the paint today
Yeah, yeah, he trying to jar drive to because the one thing they're not doing these motherfuckers ain't getting in foul trouble
They're not cuz obviously Yogi J gonna get a foul trouble for the Rudy. That's not gonna happen
All right, this is that's that's self check to happen. That's self-check right there. And then...
He's going down to New Towns.
He's going down...
He'll two-guard in the seven-foot body.
He don't want to get no...
Do the same thing Jokic is doing.
I'm going to just use my body down here.
Sometime when he got the favorite matchup,
he'll go down there when they got Michael Porter Jr.,
somebody guarding him, or Jamal Murray switched off on him.
He might go down there.
He had a couple floaters. He got go down there, but nothing like that.
He had a couple floaters.
He got down there and threw some floaters up there.
This is it.
The fact that you can play your whole team without getting in foul trouble.
That reminded me of that series.
It was Suns lost it to, or was it Blake Griffin?
It was Clippers.
Did Clippers ever play San Antonio Spurs in the playoffs?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
And Tim Duncan had five fouls for like eight minutes left,
and then kept them in, and he finished the game.
Didn't attack them.
They didn't even, they didn't even think about throwing throwing the Blake in the post to try to get the fact.
Just pick and roll,
run from the three-point line
and see if he can catch a lob.
Like, this ain't a track meet, bro.
That 2011-12 season?
I think they beat him.
It was one of those.
They beat him the year they lost it
or the Rockets, I think,
the next round.
2011-12, 2012.
Let me put it in there.
Probably.
It was like he had it.
I'm sitting there like,
you know.
Yeah, when they got, you talking about the 11 and 12 when they got swept by the
Spurs probably yeah just whatever the last be whatever the last game is mother
got five fouls yeah that was so 11 12 they got swept by the Spurs and then I'm
leaving with 15 they beat him the first round of seven you know that's what he
did he have you have a thousand squad Did he have 5,000?
He would have it was one of those he had five files and uh at the beginning of four they just kept me in like
Yeah, yeah, he ain't gonna attack so shit damn
That's been the difference maker with Joker though
Like if you make Joker play and you put some pressure on them in some capacity
They hold team change they whole team change.
They whole team got to adjust.
But ain't nobody attacking.
Aaron Gordon ain't in foul trouble like that.
Nobody in foul trouble.
They not going to their bench.
They big man, they don't go to their big man.
Who subs in other than Gordon and Joker?
Joker.
Who's coming in?
In this series, who's coming in?
No, they rotating their minutes.
They stacking their minutes.
They not even getting in foul trouble. Y' one of them on the floor at all time stacking it like dang it like your kids get in foul trouble because of
charge yep yeah or just reaching yeah it ain't because somebody's putting pressure
on them coming to the room because when that man's going in there it ain't him
down there I've never seen him in one highlight when that man's...
And he not doing no take fouls.
I ain't no shot blocker.
Ain't no need for me to be nowhere near this motherfucker
when he going up.
They let it go. Let it go.
No easy fouls.
It's over.
The Kendall Wills make a comeback.
They going home, man. They got a game to play.
You know what I'm saying?
Just like Denver came.
Denver didn't win their games at home.
Came back and won their next one at home.
Like, they can easily come back and play well at home.
Yeah.
They know they can beat them.
They know they can beat them.
ACP's playing good.
But we talked about.
We'll see what adjustments they make.
Exactly.
After game four, though.
We'll see what adjustments they make.
It kind of started to feel like, yo, these Nuggets can rattle off.
They can, but I just want to see if they do anything different.
Mike Conley being out, I think, is bad for them.
What was his injury?
Calve, strain, Achilles.
Everybody with these things.
On the final offense.
Yeah, it's starting to become a.
Yeah, but I just think, let's see what adjustments they make
and if they come out.
See, the thing, and this is the crazy shit
History say that you come out in double-team Nicole right that's what history says you had 40 y'all laws
But He wants to pass it first
Yep, so he had shots and you come out with that, and then other guys get it going.
Now you got to go play them one-on-one.
So what do you do?
Anthony Edwards is going to have to come out
and be extra aggressive.
But they are targeting.
When he drives, he's putting his head down.
Take charges.
Don't even try to block the shot.
They got a game plan.
Take charges.
We're just going to let him run around thinking he can he you take off brother we we right here yeah i've seen
aaron gordon in the slow-mo saying like he's coming across the lane yelling out i got i got
this and he's taking that charge but the difference between the two is brown is the dive guy for Denver. He used to be Aaron Gordon.
Aaron's still in the dunker.
Brown's diving.
They got a dunker and a dive.
And Brown huge in that first half.
Yeah.
I mean, he was doing his thing.
I guess this is probably more egotistic as a defensive player.
How come he hasn't tried to take one charge on him?
He's backing him down.
Why do you keep trying to muscle him?
He's not even doing that, but he don't know how.
Because if he do it, he's just going to fall straight down.
He never did it before.
He don't know how.
It's like you're trying to muscle someone who's way stronger than you.
So all your kids just do it.
Hit you, pow.
Now you're going to put all your weight on him.
He's going to spin off that. he's pulling the chair on offense on you
No
Just sitting there doing like he's sitting there doing this like soon as you see your get you that first bump because that's what that
First bump is boom and you get all extra
Aggressive so now he gets spin off all that that body. There's two guys take that boom take that hit
Even if you you giving up two points anyway.
Take the hit.
See, the thing he takes.
He don't know how.
He don't know how to play post defense.
No.
Let's call it what it is.
Dead.
Yeah.
And as soon as you do that, you're playing post defense like a guard.
Yeah, but.
There's two guys.
What is this?
He played post defense.
The old Josiah.
I'm merely here to help.
It's two guys that know how to play.
It was a photo shoot.
You're well aware of it.
It's two guys that know how to play against that.
MBE and Joker know how to take that defense and mix it up.
I know how you're going to try to spin off that.
I'm going to muscle you.
You're going to take this and absorb it.
You don't know how to play post.
You have to take that first hit.
That first, you know, Jokic is going to use.
He's hitting you first
So when he does that boom take it so the thing is right give up the two points might get a charge
Is this now moving forward? He won't do it anymore. So I know they change the rules and freedom of movement and all these things but
I'm just as entitled to this spot as you are. Mm-hmm. Do you work early? No, I don't have to give ground.
No, you don't.
That's my thing.
I understand Nikola.
I think he weighs more than Rudy, but it ain't that he's strong.
It's like the Tim Duncan weight.
He's just mass.
He's just heavy.
Zeebo weight.
Zeebo?
No, Tim Duncan was like that. Lower body. No, he's just heavy. He's just heavy. Zeebo weight. Zeebo. No, Tim Duncan was like that.
Lower body.
No, he's just heavy.
He's just heavy.
And no muscles.
He ain't cut up, but he's just heavy.
And he's leaning on you.
Like, the first two games of the finals, me playing against Tim Duncan, all this was sore.
From me meeting him at the free throw line, sitting down, and pushing him out to make him catch the ball where I want to catch it, and not giving ground.
He taller than me, way more than me, but I'm going to sit down, and I'm like, no, I'm just
as entitled to this spot as you are.
And you got to know how to put your hands and your arm.
You can still do this in the post, and you do something but they don't they they're not teaching it
Them dudes taking every bump with a chest. I got just said you just be sitting like this
That's not 1960 bro. You can you can think about it?
They call and they call and foul as soon as he put his hands you don't you can't do this
Yeah, you don't know you can do this this You don't know where to put this in it
That's why you see you can see doing this cuz he's like I don't know cuz you call if I do this and you call it
No, you have a way to do it
You know bad tricks for playing everybody like when you when you watch when you watch you remember the Bill Russell
What's the name? He was taking it with his chest like is that the defense that you're being taught because this you can say you can use you just can't put your knee into it
Yeah, like I had to tell KJ KJ because he was guarding bigger guys and he was getting files trying to fight and he picking
His knee up. Yeah, I said no KJ. I asked what was legal was not to grab him
Mm-hmm on his baseline side don't have this on the baseline side
This would if you're on a bait whatever baselines it stops him from spinning man
Because if he go you can feel it you can feel this twitch and push him out. Don't push. It's a file
Here I'm here with it
Rudy I'm so what I can tell you look he he got some strength doing yeah
You can be here and that means something and it's here now you got. Now you're playing defense here and not trying to fight him.
Because as soon as you lean with this, he gone.
And don't just let him sit there and figure out what he going.
He got the ball here.
And he's feeling, yep.
But you're not doing.
You're just letting him decide what the hell he's going to do.
He's calculating. Okay, I'm going to spin. No or he know see when I'm guarding you you got the ball here
I'm reaching over the top. I'm reaching through I'm trying to poke them you face up
I'm trying to hit the before you dribble this means you ain't even put the ball on the ground yet
And I didn't try to strip you seven times. Mm-hmm. I might didn't get it but you oh shit
Right now you now you got to face me up because you got your back to me and now you know I might didn't get it, but you oh shit Yeah, hold on right now
You now you got to face me up because you got your back to me and now you know
You don't know where I'm coming from once I get you off the block. I'm reaching for the ball
Now you don't know which way I'm coming from so now you got to face me up. Mm-hmm to see where I am
Okay, let me reach the motherfucker octopus
Right because I'm reaching for the ball everywhere. So now you got to face me up and then you can't bring the ball down. Mm-hmm
So these are the things that I'm watching while I'm like I said, I will I ain't saying I'm gonna stop Nicole
But I would have loved to have the opportunity for this chess match that I'm speaking of right now
Right because he faced up you do this. I'm sweet. Mm-hmm. Now you soon as you you can fake it and i'm so now you got to try to now
you go here now your feet are different now you you might travel because you're like oh shit you
pick the picket now oh shit got you and it ain't enough time for all that it's not enough time so
i'm playing these mind games before you get the ball playing playing these mind games, after you catch it, playing the mind
game after you shoot it, you boom.
As you say that, I just noticed he doesn't ever try... Think about the space that
Jokic is playing, because Jokic is hitting him chest to chest.
Boom.
Rudy's sitting here like this.
There's a reason Jokic hasn't turned the ball.
If he's dribbling, he can't shoot.
Boom.
You're fucking seven foot two.
You don't reach at the ball. You don't reach at the ball at all.
Then another thing, once he bump him, Rudy can't jump.
Yes.
He's not athletic.
Yes.
Like that. He's an athlete jump. He's not athletic like that.
He's an athlete, but he's not athletic. So when he
bump, he can't take the bump and then
jump. It takes him to
bump, gather, then jump.
Yeah, so you have time to get back to put your
hands up for the fact that he's still dribbling
in your space doing this.
You can flick at this.
Rules is, we can't let him dribble that bitch three times down there as guards. But you can't do it. You can flick at this. The rules is,
we can't let him dribble that bitch three times down there as guards.
But you can't dig.
He's going to pass to your man.
He's going to throw the bitch right by your ear.
But if we did,
if we did,
he's going to throw it right by your ear.
And they not taking that shot
and they reposting this nigga,
which is what they be doing,
is that he throw it out,
give it back to me.
Then he go to work
and was like,
oh, y'all got to let me go now
because I'm down here.
I'm glad you said that.
It's back to the chess match we were just talking about.
He throw that bitch out.
Push him out.
No, release. Release, front him.
Get around him.
You got to do something different.
If he's trying to repost, they're looking for him.
He's trying to get better position. He's trying to lean
on you. Soon as he go
to lean, I'm going to release.
The ball going to be in the air because they throwing it quick because they trying.
It's a steal.
You got long arms.
He's not using none of his attributes.
He has disadvantage.
He's not used to that.
Hey, Minnesota, I'm sitting at home.
He's not used to it.
You got to tell James.
James over there.
I ain't telling him.
I'm getting no check.
James, what's up, man?
What y'all doing?
James?
Give me some of that playoff money.
I'll call you.
I'll give you some tips.
So we asked the chat, how were the series in?
It was over 4,000 votes.
54% said Nuggets in six.
19% said Nuggets in seven.
27% said Wolves in seven.
But let's keep this thing moving.
We got some big things going on on the WNBA side.
Season tipped off on Tuesday.
Kaitlyn Clark made her WNBA debut as her Fever Squad was on the road to take on the Connecticut Sun.
Big moment for the W.
More than 2 million viewers.
That even included a performance by the Ying Yang twins at halftime.
Clark started slow, missing her first four shots, but finished with 20 points, 3 assists,
and 2 steals.
She was 5 for 15 from the field, 4 for 11 from behind the arc.
She tied a WNBA record with 4 threes in her debut, but she also set another WNBA record
with 10 turnovers.
Damn.
In her debut. Damn. Her debut.
Damn.
Growing pains.
When was she from the field?
She was 5 for 15.
I was 4 for 16 my first game.
But 4 for 11 for Monarch.
Took her a little bit of time to get her footing.
Yeah, first game, hell.
But what do y'all think about Kayla Clark and her WNBA debut?
Fine. She got her shots up.
She should learn to take care of the ball more.
They was pressuring her doing things.
She ain't seen that kind of defense.
So she be out.
There was a couple, yeah.
Yeah.
It's a grown woman's league.
She out there doing what she don't supposed to be doing, passing.
You can't get a turnover for shooting.
Not at all.
Not at all.
Next time, five for 25, might as well just say fuck them assists and just a turnover for shooting. Not at all. Not at all. You know, next time, you know,
a 5 for 25 might as well just say,
fuck them assists and just go 10 for 25.
What would be wrong with them turning that team into like a Steph Curry type team
where Boston is kind of like Draymond.
They got their own little set shooters
and just let her run around like AI,
run around like Steph.
But it's going to take, like, you know, because of her style,
they're not used to it, right?
So they're not, like, the Iowa, those girls played four years together.
So everything she did, it was all boom, boom.
Yeah, they'd been in training camp for two weeks.
Yeah, so for them, they're not going to, it's going to take some growing pains
this first year to really understand how to maximize what she does.
Did y'all see the turnover she was having?
She was having expectation turnovers.
Yep, this is where you're supposed to go.
Supposed to.
And that's the worst part.
So they look at her like, oh, you have 10 turnovers.
Yeah, I'm thinking this is where they're supposed to be.
They're not doing it.
She'll be by the next angle.
They're going to put it on film for her.
Yeah, that's the frustrating part because it's like, I look like I don't know what I'm doing,
and y'all motherfuckers supposed to be there.
Well, she really don't.
She don't.
She don't know what they're doing.
She don't know what they're doing.
She knows what she's doing.
They don't know what she's doing.
They don't know what she's doing.
It goes both ways.
They don't know what each other's doing right now.
She'll be all right.
We talked about this with Cheryl just in terms of taking our time to figure it out
and being thrown right into the fire right away.
It's a learning curve, man.
It go from college to playing against pros.
Next week.
Yeah.
She just got done playing.
Playing against little white girls.
Some of them pros ain't really pros, though.
What you doing out here?
Roll, motherfucker.
Shit, they don't know that yet.
Go back, though.
What you doing?
Go back, though.
What you doing? Go back though What you doing? If you get it like you think about it all the girls that she's used to been playing with for the last four years or
Pick and pop her mannerisms is poop. Oh
Not a roll in and she's throwing above a little wait a minute and girls don't get no passes
It's cuz they they WNBA players y'all still play ball to y'all gotta know how to play like she good
But if I'm used to if I'm used to, if I'm used to, it's like
telling Shaq to pick and pop.
First game of the season.
Pick and pop. That's the motherfucker used to rolling.
Like, hold on, big fella. Everybody
played last year too. Y'all have played
that. Not with her. I know. I'm just
saying, y'all played before.
They just ain't y'all first time playing basketball.
With her. Let's act like we know
how to play basketball with her
Steve Nash Steve Nash was an all-nba player right all-nba player all-star
Shack comes there right Shack comes there and now Shack is on the block
Steve Nash did not make the all-star or all-nba because
He knows how to play basketball. He's been making all-nbaStars, MVP, MVP. Shaquille O'Neal gets down there, they don't know what's going on
because the spacing ain't the same what they're used to.
Shaq get his ass up there, out of there, All-Star, All-NBA.
You got to get used to it, that's all.
But 20 points, her aggression, hitting those shots.
If you did take my advice yesterday,
I think her pick
was 17.5 higher or lower,
went higher,
you would have got
some bread, so.
That's $20?
Hmm?
Max 20?
I took 21 and under.
That's...
So, you know,
I was cringing
those last few minutes.
That's why I can't
do the lowers, man.
I was like,
come on,
why is she still in the game?
No, get out of the game. And then when they had. It'd be I was like come on. Why she's still like why she's still in the game No, you know get out of the game
You know they had that time out on my yes
22 came and I like oh come on
Why can't go lower y'all out there trim trying to pack the stats, but I get you
She had one over shot. She had one over shot in the fourth, but she missed I like the first game
There's the first game first game 20
I mean...
She'll be all right, man.
But even...
You know, despite the poor shooting performance,
a 20-piece is a 20-piece, right?
In the W?
In any league.
I can tell you right now, I have this stat.
I don't know if y'all know, but I do it.
I lost last year.
The last one.
I take season stats.
So right before the season starts, you can take season stats. Yeah, that takes too long
for me. Yeah, I took
her higher 2.9
threes average for the
season. Made or shot?
Made. Yeah, because shot, shit.
I got her averaging more
than 2.9 threes made
for the season. Okay.
I'm rolling with it.
I mean, that's shit.
That's all she takes.
I'm just being honest.
In other news,
internet did what the internet does
after a user on Twitter posted a photo
of Kaitlyn Clark's bobblehead.
So I'll show you the bobblehead.
This is what it looks like.
Naturally, there was no chills.
People said the bobblehead looked more like Mike Bibby, Tom Brady,
and even Mad Dog Mark Madsen.
It's different when you see the ponytail angle versus just a straight head on.
But how come bobbleheads never look like the people they're trying to bobblehead?
I don't know.
Yeah, mine didn't look like me either.
It looked more like Jay Pharoah.
Mine did?
Maybe they might have to go to Jay Pharoah for it to look like me.
I don't know.
I'll make a Jay Pharoah one.
It'll look more like Gil.
But, you know, the Internet was turned up as the Internet does.
But we're going to see.
We're going to monitor the situation.
Aces also won their home opener against the see. We're going to monitor the situation. Ace has also won their
home opener against the Mercury, so shout out
to that crew as they looked at three-peat.
And, as we mentioned at the top of the show,
our very own Lexi Brown
debuts
tonight. Lexi, back in action.
Got the
.5 higher
or lower pick'em as a special gift
for all our Gills Arena followers.
If you use promo code GILL when you downloaded the Underdog Fantasy app.
Or 1.5 threes made today.
What's on there?
You're going to take the 1.5 threes?
Because if she makes 1.5 threes, then she has six points.
So she already is going to hit it.
Yeah, but that's only $5.
So then make two.
I gotta do that plus another one make $5.
Nah, I'd rather take my 1.5 and I can put $500 on it.
I can put $500 on a 1.5.
Just do multiple pick'ems.
But let's get into Mostly Fans.
Even if you do multiple pick'ems, it's still handicapped, right?
On the $10 bet?
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, the give and take, the ebbs and flows.
Swag.
Do your pick'em.
Swag.
They can't give you a.5, because that's like a gimme.
That's if you're trying to go Taco Bell.
That's a Taco Bell bet, man.
I'm curious to see if anybody's ever hit the.5 and went lower.
It didn't win.
It didn't win.
Aaron Rodgers.
Ooh.
Ooh. Yeah, first play of the fucking game, bro.
That's it.
That's a nasty bet.
.5 yards.
Ooh.
Oh, that's a nasty bet.
Just let him get back in.
That whole season hurt my feelings.
So our first question is from Underdog User, FameGodBody.
