So get it going. Here's what's cracking in the arena today. The Celtics swept the Pacers to advance to their second finals in the last three seasons.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Will Tatum and Brown lead Boston to a record 18th championship? All signs are pointing to LeBron becoming a free agent this summer. If he doesn't come back to the Lakers, which other teams give him the best chance at winning another ring? Starting point is 00:05:53 we got audio versions available on Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your podcasts from. All right, we got big game tonight. Wolf season's on the line. Kyrie 14 and 0 in closeout games. Mm.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Oof. None of us thought this would happen. I thought we needed to extend this thing. We need content, y'all, right? It's about to get real slow. No, who? None of y'all. I told you at the Sparks game.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Yeah, none of y'all thought this would happen. We need more games. I thought Adam Silver, Scott Foster, weren't there, Magic? None of y'all thought this would happen. Tony Brothers, more like Tony Others. Nobody delivering. But we got one playoff game they still gotta play the finals
Starting point is 00:06:30 that's not until next Thursday it's gonna be a lot of LeBron talking around here we got one playoff game tonight three WNBA games we'll go around the couch get one pick-em from everybody that they like tonight
Starting point is 00:06:41 this will make the Gills Arena pick-em for the night so fade us or rock with us if you like the picks rock rock with us if you want to make some bread. Fade us if you do not. So we're gonna start with you Gill. You got De'Erica Hamby, higher or lower, first half 16.5 points rebounds and assists combined. Higher. She has been doing her thing. Yeah, little AD's getting off. Balling. Going. Andy Davis on the female side with stronger legs.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Why can't... We were stronger legs. Why can't AD be big, Derek, and him be? Nah. Because he don't got the legs. Oh, he don't got... She killed my body. Yeah, she was balling.
Starting point is 00:07:21 She's been balling the past few games. Doing her thing. You know, as you guys betrayed us and Lexi and allowed the Sparks to lose, not cheering loud enough, not showing allegiance to the soil. Brandon usually sits here. He was with him. You didn't stop it. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:07:38 You saw it going on. Yeah, I was doing the bird. I still can't believe he dipped out at halftime. I was doing the bird for Caitlyn when she hit that shot, so I ain't going to lie. He left on that word? He said, I did the bird for Caitlyn. We didn't ask. What was that wing celebration?
Starting point is 00:07:51 What was the bird celebration for Caitlyn? It was Iowa. Oh, the Hawkeyes? Okay. Okay. Just making sure. But y'all saw Brandon dip out before the half. I was like, where'd you go?
Starting point is 00:08:02 Because I had to go to the tunnel, let Kayla Clark know what time it was. Leadership. That's being a leader. All right, we're going to move on to Kenyon. So, Kenyon, Nas Reed, higher or lower, 13 points. Higher. He has been balling. Maybe their only hope.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Yeah, he a mismatch right there. So, Rashad, we're're gonna move over to you. Jaden McDaniels, higher or lower, 10.5 points? Higher. You think he's gonna have a good game? He got to. Are the Timberwolves gonna win tonight? No. They ain't got no choice. I mean, they do have the choice to lose and get it over with. Ain't no choice. There's one little button to push. Win. That shit over. And finally, my pick. Smack the night.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Carl Anthony Towns, higher or lower, 19.5 points. Cadiz were shooting up to 1,500 shots per day. I believe him because it could be one. It could be 1,500. I believe he is a fan of Gil's Arena presented by Underdog Fantasy. Whoop, whoop. Whoop, whoop. And be 1,500. I believe he is a fan of Gil's Arena presented by Underdog Fantasy. Whoop, whoop. Whoop, whoop. And watch the show yesterday.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Gil heard you telling him he needed to get his big ass in the post. Yeah. So I think he will have higher than 19.5 points tonight. Come on, K. I don't know. That means they're going to bench Rudy. Yeah. Big purr.
Starting point is 00:09:18 He's going to A-B-Poo-Poo down him leg. Yo! They're going to bench Rudy. Cool. So Cat has averaged 19.5 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 elimination games in his career. pull down him leg. They're going to binge Rudy. Cool. So Cat has averaged 19.5 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 elimination games in his career. Come on, Cat. Help us help you.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Get it back. We'll say nice things on this very couch on Wednesday. That's how it's paid off, huh? We'll say nice things. We're not the square meter, but we do have some power. We got a lot to get into today. We will talk the Celtics momentarily,
Starting point is 00:09:47 but got to talk about another team in the Eastern Conference first, specifically their star player. So after another disappointing early playoff exit this season, the Sixers will likely be one of the major players in the free agent market this summer with the potential to create enough cap space to add another Max player to join former MVP Joel Embiid and most improved player
Starting point is 00:10:05 Tyrese Maxey. But according to Yahoo Sports' Jake Fisher, he's spoken with several agents who are advising their clients to think twice before teaming up with Embiid, given his history of injury in the postseason and not being 100%. So Embiid has only missed a total of eight out of 67 Sixers playoff games in his career, but has been hampered by a variety of injuries, especially the past few years. This season, he only played 39 games, underwent surgery to repair a meniscus in his left knee in February, but returned in April for the last few games of regular season. Played in every playoff game this postseason, but obviously wasn't 100%.
Starting point is 00:10:39 So, Gil, I ask you first, should Embiid's injury history discourage free agents and stars from wanting to play with the Sixers? There are very few things that you can be certain of in life. But you can always be sure the sun will rise each morning. You can bet your bottom dollar that you'll always need air to breathe and water to drink. And, of course, you can rest assured that with Public Mobile's 5G subscription phone plans, you'll pay the same thing every month. With all of the mysteries that life has to offer, a few certainties can really go a long way. Subscribe today for the peace of mind you've been searching for.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Public Mobile. Different is calling. What type of free agent? I mean, how many top free agents actually went to Philly? Yeah, so they can use and beat all they want. It's Philadelphia themselves. A lot of top free agents don't go to certain cities, so that's already hurting the team. You feel like Philly is a city that's not a prime destination for agents? They got cheesesteaks near the water.
Starting point is 00:11:49 That's where Paul George is going to go. You think PG? Did you say near what? Philly. No, you said they got cheesesteaks in there near what? Near the water. What water? What water?
Starting point is 00:11:59 There's water by Philly. There's a lake. There's a lake? Lake Philadelphia? I think the lake is water. Lake he told me he told me like it's the fucking like it was water okay what body of water this man speaking of the mother ocean he went to the map had to pull the map up. They got the joint by the hotel.
Starting point is 00:12:29 Where the All-Star Weekend was. The creek. You were there. That's what you're thinking about. Yeah. They're big, whatever. It's a reservoir. Okay. It's a body of water.
Starting point is 00:12:37 They got cheesesteak. Okay, let's go back to cheesesteak. They got cheesesteak. Liberty Bell. Liberty Bell. Eagles. No, it's just a tough place. No, let's go back to cheese. They got cheese. Liberty Bell. Liberty Bell. Eagles. No, that's just a tough place. No, that's...
Starting point is 00:12:48 I had to pull up the map. No, yo. Midwest cities. A lot of East Coast teams have a hard time. Mm-hmm. Because it's just gloomy, man. Delaware River is what I was thinking of, but... Okay, river, lake.
Starting point is 00:13:09 It's water. Okay, who wants... But you're trying to use that as a selling point, though. We got water. You're trying to use that as a selling point. You're not landlocked. Man, you got water. Close to New York.
Starting point is 00:13:20 We got this riverboat for you. Here you go. We're close to New York. We're on tour. Yeah,'re on a riverboat tour. We got a, no. We got a casino right in there. Like, yeah. But it's just tough, man, certain places.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Like you were saying, like the Phillies, the Detroit's, the Cleveland's, the Indianapolis's of, it's just tough, man. And it's. Man, it's just, man, it's just tough. So what do you think about the report that agents are telling their their clients they think it twice already because of those factors so no but if it's a real basketball player in real Hooper he's getting hurt because he's been overused shit listen shit like if you got some help you got another guy after averaging 25 with him like he had a little help now with Tyrese you get somebody else that's averaging
Starting point is 00:14:09 Probably have to do as much but He's a big guy Big just Injuries happen man when you're a certain size man of a person. It's unfortunate that his happens during that time when it does, man. It's just like people act like athletes playing on and want to fucking get hurt. Like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:14:35 And B's saying, you know what? I don't want to be healthy for the playoffs, y'all, so let me go get my meniscus worked on. Come on, man. Like, no, man. It's just an unfortunate part of sports in that his happens. So let me go get my meniscus worked on and like let's come on like no man Like it's just a part unfortunate part of sports and that he has happens At this time here. It's like it's a lot of wear and tear on him and
Starting point is 00:14:57 It's just part of the game unfortunately man, but Should nobody be discouraged if these fucking MVP Like would have won it again Like this be honest like would have won a bitch again so while we who I Sign up to go play with MVP in the past You don't get looks and cause I don't contact what he's saying is the the agents is telling guys, you might want to not consider going there because he not healthy.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Think about that advisement, though. Think about, like, this is what type of encouragement is happening in our league where guys, like you said, if you're a hooper, you want to go hoop and win, got a chance to go play with Embiid, why wouldn't you, right? Philly's not a bad place to be. It's not a bad city. But then what you said, like how many big free agents actually go to Philly and sign, history says not many, right?
Starting point is 00:15:57 But you see that the league is changing because it's money-driven. So if Philly can offer you a certain bag, these kids are going to go and play in Philly. But it's like right now we're at a precipice where a lot of our stars are older. So they already know the deal about where to go and when to go. But it's the younger guys like the Jalen Greens and those guys are like, well, if it's money, right, I'll go. It don't matter. So it's like with a guy like Embiid or a guy like Ja or Booker or one of those guys, the Cornerstone franchise guys, whether they get hurt or not playing, whatever the case may be,
Starting point is 00:16:41 it shouldn't stop nobody from going to play at hoop if you can win, if you can contribute to Winning so I call cap You feel like that's not going down good. No because Obviously if you're an agent you get paid by a percentage of that person's contract So if Philly is throwing big money at people to come there, you're not gonna be an agent Yeah, telling your I mean got Max Dill on the team. So most likely...
Starting point is 00:17:06 But if it's Max Dill with a few different teams and say Philly's one of them, would that be a situation where it's like... No. This is what this really is. It's whoever owns Philly's agent, they don't want their players to get traded or moved, so they're pretending. They're just throwing that extra...
Starting point is 00:17:23 Hey, yeah, there's a lot of people out there saying they don't want to play here because now philly is going to be scared to go after or trade any of their assets thinking they're not going to get any free agents right you know tobias harris agent right you got you got to think about some people's agents out there who don't really want to leave because he definitely free agents yeah it was a lot of that bullshit source sourcing that's the one the source and source idea a couple teams agents who who will what's the clients goddammit? I guarantee the own feeling trying to get paid because I'm pretty sure Tobias is only valued there and at this point not anywhere else. I'm pretty sure if one of his ages is one of them Uber is a list is we can just
Starting point is 00:18:05 Allegedly who I think I do break them back twice. Yeah of his agents is one of them. Oubre's agent. We can just... You can't go back to Orlando? Allegedly. Who? I think Ken Oubre can be playing. Tobias? Yeah. Remember, Orlando was where he kind of got his...
Starting point is 00:18:13 He's older, man. He has to go... That's the same position. That's the same for backup, though. Just vet leadership. Because he can be a stretch three, four, for a team that really needs it.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Tobias? Right now? They needed him this year who really? He was consistent He was his career I mean just nigga that she was a watch. He was Jay Cole. He gave In the final game and the only shot that he took in the closeout game It was in the last like minute of the game, bro. Just get one out. No like to get the ball bounce to him And it was fade away. Yeah, not the bitch was only shot only shot of the whole game. I thought he got one off early.
Starting point is 00:19:08 This nigga shot that motherfucker in the 25th hour, literally. He was out there taking it. It did not go in the basket. I don't believe in that. Okay, but moving forward, what type of player should the Sixers be looking for to compliment Embiid and Maxie? Maxie eligible for extension this offseason? All George. Nah. be looking for to compliment and be the maxi maxi eligible for extension this offseason there's all george nah all george is the perfect piece for them and he up and they look in the shorthand
Starting point is 00:19:33 him in the clippers they got more money to offer him in philly it all makes sense he just got to be willing to leave home they need some shoes. They need one man. That's Jimmy Butler. Is he Jimmy gonna go back? Because he didn't want to leave. Him and Embiid, they, it was it was a coach that didn't want him. So Jimmy Butler back here keep Bigfella under control. Right, he's on demand from big fella right So Jimmy extension eligible this summer Pat Riley Yeah, I'm sure if the heater go give them their bread But but are they gonna have an I mean the only way to have enough mode because Tobias is free
Starting point is 00:20:18 They can make some wiggle room with the roster. They can let out some rights Yeah, they can yeah less them because they got a side matchie to the max yeah but it'll be a smaller max right because he's not just regular regular max yeah there's regular max that's crazy when you say max you gotta no there's another one so then it's not technically the max if it's the max and a super max then the max is not the max so you'd rather have Jimmy Butler over PG Wow any control there's you need a you need a real alpha in the locker room or you need someone who I mean you know nigga coming to the gym with 17 hamburgers you can't have that shit in the playoffs man you ain't playing that
Starting point is 00:21:00 shit but I ain't playing we don't show up to the playoffs who Jimmy You don't show up to the playoffs We don't show to play off Jimmy. Yeah Hendricks. He didn't show up until the playoffs He takes the whole season off. No, that's a that's just a rule. That's the point. He actually said it out loud. He says it, but if you look at the stats, it ain't really no different. 21. Yeah, it ain't really no different. But there needs to be a check and balance. Ever since Jimmy left, it's kind of been...
Starting point is 00:21:41 But he was one shot away. That famous Kawhi shot that bounced. They were... It's a cold guy. Jimmy was on that team? Yeah. So, can you remember Paul George or Jimmy Butler? It was like that second hour. Yeah. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:21:58 That was their mistake. Damn, he was right there, huh? I think Jimmy Butler. For who their coach is. Mm. He gonna work you. Yeah, Nick Nurse needs somebody that's gonna...
Starting point is 00:22:15 Yeah. Be him. Be him on there. Yeah, so... But he needs some shooting as well. They need guys who can make shots. Flat out shooting? Yeah, because then you'd be reluctant to dig and help on Embiid and shit like that.
Starting point is 00:22:36 And Tyrese Maxey gets to play in space, going downhill using his best attribute, which is his speed. So you can't help because you got dead-eye shooters over there. Like, you can't put a couple of them out there with him. I'm going to be honest. One thing we're going to be talking about when we talk about shit like this is the bench. They need a bench. They need some scorers. They need some vets.
Starting point is 00:23:00 They need to let young guys like KJ play. Like, they're not extending their full full roster. You look at other things They have been in their rosters It's like you ain't picking up no free ages and that's gonna be role players. It's tough You know the problem is The only move they can really do is say alright We're gonna let Tobias go and then overpay like they have to overpay for talent they got the money yeah so that's that's the thing they're gonna do they have to
Starting point is 00:23:33 pay maxi and then you let tobias go so you can have all that money and then some dude let's say somebody out there that's they can guarantee you about 18 to 22, right? And somebody's offering them 20 and y'all got 35 to offer, give it to them. Other than that, you're not going to be able to match dollar for dollar with anybody. Right? I mean, it's just the only teams that can really, like,
Starting point is 00:24:01 if you're worth 35 and they offer you 25, that's only Cali. Only Lakers, Clippers, maybe Golden State. Maybe Golden State now. Sacramento? Nah, I'm not going to Sacramento. It's our state's capital. Because you're going to make it up in, like like you have to make it up in the market itself so being in the la market being go state with all the investments and you know you know um silicon valley so you can make that kind of money back up so there's only a few
Starting point is 00:24:35 teams that can just new york so good when you were free how much did you prioritize getting the bag versus going to team you thought could be good? 100%. All bag related? All 100%. So it didn't matter whoever had the most bread? All 100%. Whoever had the most bread? Well, I'm a lion.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Okay, thank you. On my first one, it was obviously the money because I was asking for the max. Knowing I wasn't getting the max, but just you got to throw it out there, you know. Maybe they just, somebody was dumb in Utah offered me the most But I thought it would be career suicide John Stockton just retired and my style is coming in there. I'm like So I was basically trying to put myself in a position where I could be successful So and I up going to Washington.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Clippers were in the mix, too. How much thought did you give that and did that franchise's history? I mean, you know, I said earlier that I'd flip between the Clippers, but I didn't want to be home. Yeah. Right? And that's why I was, like, throwing a max out there. So when I signed for 63, you know, a lot of people was mad.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Like, y'all was saying the max, and he signed for 63. We could have got the 63. But I didn't want to be home. I was trying to really establish myself. So coming back here, like, I'm good. What was the difference between Utah and Washington? Utah was probably better. Were they better?
Starting point is 00:26:05 No, but it was... John Stockton just retired. You talking about the system suicide of you having to play system for the part. Yeah. Me and John, they used to do, sitting here doing this, and I'm sitting here trying to... That's what I said, that would have been the current. And it felt like that for me. Like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:24 So I'd rather go there where you know, I'm following this dark Passer boy Kenyon I'm see trade from the nest to the Nuggets. How did you end up in that situation? And we're the Nuggets your first choice. I was afraid and afraid now staying with the Nets was my first show Okay, I was a free agent So then when you were free agent, did you prioritize looking at a squad like the Nuggets or was just the most bread? No, they didn't like new ownership kind of forced my hand with the Nets
Starting point is 00:26:56 they like had a group and one particular guy had 51% and other Have many people's in other group had 49%. So 49% said yeah, and he had majority, so he said no. So they didn't resign me. So I had to... she had to go find a team at that point. Because I had no intentions on leaving. Like, we just... I just made the all-star team. We lost to Detroit that year. They went to win it.
Starting point is 00:27:29 We felt whoever came out of the East that year, we had a chance to win it. So I had no intentions on leaving, but they forced my hand in free agency. So never got a phone call, never got a contract offer from the Nets. Okay. So nothing? To this day hmm and so they might sort of for me to maximize the contract that's why I did that's why they did sign and trade with the Nuggets they can well you can lose them for nothing or you can get some
Starting point is 00:27:57 back as he like they don't want to pay me so because the Nets could offer me the most money because it was my team so I signed the max with them and signed a trade okay cool cool so yeah no it was Utah had money to offer um I was getting ready to go visit Utah and they called me told me I have to come because they just signed Carlos booze for 66 The trick play that's the year the year prior to me been free agent. I turned down 66 So me going into my fourth year I turned down 66 from the Nets Also you die you was even next see that can't you wasn't even expecting Carlos Buzo to be a free agent.
Starting point is 00:28:49 No, he was still in Cleveland. Nobody. So you're saying he did the dirty shit with them. I ain't going to call it dirty, but he got them full loop. So he did, so he had a three-year deal with them, right? So after my contract where it was a two-year deal, the arenas rule, and then they started doing second round three years. So it was like, so he had a two-year deal with a team option for the third. So he was balling. So he said, you know, they were offering him like the $24 million deal.
Starting point is 00:29:20 So I guess his wife at the time or girlfriend at the time said, yeah, we want to sign here. We'll sign for the money. You you know just let him out of his deal so we can re-up right but she was already negotiating with utah if you can get him out we got the money for you so she was doing everything about yeah we want to be here boom because if he he becomes a free agent next year boom it'd be big money so it it's cheaper and they let his ass out. He took off Yeah, I was in Atlanta I went to Atlanta mm-hmm I Was leaving Atlanta to go to Utah Delta Yeah, like the Hawks was the play Hawks had a little money with a to couldn't pay me what?
Starting point is 00:30:00 What I was going to what I was worth the man. Yeah, right what I was going to what I was worth the minimum yeah right what I was so I'm getting ready to leave Atlanta and go and they call me like well yeah you can take you know you don't have to come now you just signed Carlos booze for the 66 I was like oh I'll just try to use I'll run the price up I was like wait car boost a laugh. Yeah, he was under contract and it when I heard about all they Did it in a motherfucker play? You know the owner was New blind at the time right there like you did this to the blind man. Are you dirty shit dog? Right And what they were saying like you dirty shit
Starting point is 00:31:00 People like boozy dirty Listen did that to the handicapped man dog? I mean they're trying to get him for 24 when he was working or so she whoever got who first I guess you know Like I said if the Nets would offer me 80 mm-hmm When they offer me to 66 if they're all from the 80 hour, there's yoga. I would took it like no question about it I'd say it was They're like that was a number I had in my head because they're most of power for the time That's what they was getting. Yep, right The first match was like 65. Five for 65.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Nah. That's what Al Jefferson got. They were trying to get Al from six for 66. Al Jefferson, he got the max. Al from six for 66. Yeah, he got the max. No, people said, no, everybody thought I was fucking nuts. No, yours was 84?
Starting point is 00:31:38 84 was the max. Yeah, his max was 84. 84 was the max. And you did what? They would offer me 80. You said you were going to give him four back. All right. That's what I said.
Starting point is 00:31:44 I was knowing the numbers. So like- 84 was the max. They would offer me 80. You said you were going to give them four back. I was knowing the numbers. 84 was the max. That's what guys were getting. Damn, that's crazy. A lot of the power forwards, that's what they... Year three, I thought I should have made the All-Star team. That summer, they offered me 66. Six for 66, I told them. Six for 66? Yeah. Damn. The next year I made the all-star team.
Starting point is 00:32:15 So were you under seven year? Could you sign seven years? That's what I signed. Seven year, okay. Yeah I maxed it Like, whatever the year was in the dollar, he kept coming back to me like, shit, we can ask for more. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, we was at a certain number, he said, shit, I'll call you right back. He came back, we can ask for more. And the next time he came, I was like, hey, man, stop. Stop.
Starting point is 00:32:41 Listen, I told him, before these fucking people change their mind. Before they change their mind. I told him straight fucking people change day, but they say That's enough, all right, I appreciate you working hard to go Stop How stressful I mean because I'm a broke boy, but I'm saying how stressful of a situation is that? Oh, it was none. I was in But when you hear that number you hear that number, that's the number I want. They're like, no, we can get it. Yeah, yeah. But that's what it is. It's like anything above what I tell people in free agents.
Starting point is 00:33:11 Forget what your agent is talking about. Have a number in your mind. Yeah. Right. Because your agent is going to tell you one thing. Have a number in your mind that you know you're satisfied with. Because when they say it and then you start negotiating and that bitch get under there's nothing you can do you're gonna you're gonna regret it yeah because what he was it was like i was like all right cool that's why it's a half in there like
Starting point is 00:33:35 92 and a half they was like like why is that half like because i told him stop stop like chill all right we hey we didn't pass go a few times around this motherfucker. Let's say So question for the couch if the bread is comparable Would you rather be the number one option on a bottom feeder or the number three option on a contender? Comparable bread no it won't be comparable Stop don't try that cuz you a lot of these people because if you number one option got them You use max or the super max absolutely you third option you get paid third option. So say that again. It's a correct way You say it the correct way cuz this kills really but there's no there's no there's no there's no comparison
Starting point is 00:34:16 So number one option on the bodies the numbers are not equal But number one option on the bottom feeder or number three option on championship level to give me the number one option on the bottom Feeder and we talk about adding some pieces. Okay. Because I'm going to need that 75. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. 75?
Starting point is 00:34:32 What year am I? Yes. I'm going to say, let's say seventh year. Seventh year? Seventh year in the NBA. You know what the numbers are. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll be a bottom feeder.
Starting point is 00:34:44 One more contract. One more feeder. One more contract. One more contract. That's the point I was getting to, but eventually it comes up. Third team all NBA, baby. So, early, Rashad, I know we've had this conversation before. So, you're in that same situation. Are you trying to gear toward the championship? Just from the standpoint, you can call yourself the third option,
Starting point is 00:35:02 but if this team makes a deep playoff run, especially nowadays the way things pan out, there's a potential you could put yourself in a position and you making 17 and I'm making 75 For the third what's the number that is about 17 17 a year? Yeah, you're like my third option 17 a year Yeah, and I'm making 75 I'm pretty sure I'm like looking at like a team like the Clippers or some of these teams and to have guys I'm very very third option. Yeah, meaning like I come off the bench in is my unit Whatever you want to do. We can be all right. Come on Sorry, whatever you want to do you come there being the 30 million the bitch you're not the third option
Starting point is 00:35:42 Just the first option from coming off the bench. You can beat your nobly. Yeah, on the Spurs. For 17 a year? Oh, hell yeah. Hell yeah, hell yeah. 17? Fuck out of here, man. See?
Starting point is 00:36:04 He's saying 17, our era. We're talking about 17 this era 17 our air was six million dollars Well, you said a year. Yeah, because the good bit this air. Yeah, this error is more thinking about what we was getting then So I'm not I'm thinking 17 million at the end of the year Yes in the bank. I Then I got three of these. Or 17. 17 is like eight. Back then?
Starting point is 00:36:29 Yeah. No, then now, nigga. Eight now? So that's what I'm saying. Is it 17 a year or is it three years 17? No, 17 a year. 17 a year. So that's three year what?
Starting point is 00:36:40 Whatever it is. Three years. All of that. All of that. Now there's that third option. You take a team like the Clippers if you want to call them. No of that. Nowadays, that third option, you take a team like the Clippers, if you want to call them. You can't take that.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Take a third team. Because they're number one options. They make a number one option money. So a regular third team. Harden doesn't make it as much as PG and Kawhi. Huh? Harden doesn't make it as much as PG and Kawhi this season. He's making 40 because he was the number one option at one point when he signed the deal.
Starting point is 00:37:06 So you can't use that. You got to use a real third option. That's why I said comparable bread. But then you tried to correct me. So third option as any other team. So Miami was the third option on Dallas. What's the third option on Sacramento? Right in the third option.
Starting point is 00:37:25 That's Dre. But that's Dre Mong third option? That's Draymond Green. $100 million. $25. So you're saying try to line up what a team, playoff team is now in their third option. Yeah. Numbers is, listen, hey. Like Nas Reed.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Yeah, like when we say $100 million. When we say like $100 million, right? Look at the Charlotte Hornets. I'm looking at upper-level teams. Look at the Charlotte Hornets. You've got a team like the Celtics, right? Drew Holiday is the highest-paid player currently. Yes, because he's coming. I get it.
Starting point is 00:37:57 You're going after the number one option. Look at the Charlotte Hornets. What is LaMelo Ball making? Huh? What is LaMelo Ball making? Look at them numbers. 217. So his numbers are then Miles Bridges.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Yeah, so his extension kick sign next year will make 35. He made 11 this year. What's next? 35 next year, 38 after that. Who's next? Who's next on that squad? Ooh, I think Bertons right now? And then Miles Bridges signed to one.
Starting point is 00:38:23 Grant Williams third. So it's like that Dumb numbers 35 and then what's the only talk about a boo-boo team? Anywhere from 15 to 25 million a year Yeah, I'm rolling for sure. That's more than enough for me if I'm winning. Yeah. So, like, as a bottom feeder team, like, what y'all talking about? Number one option body, you're looking at Jordan Poole shit.
Starting point is 00:38:52 No. Jordan Poole was fourth option when he signed that money. That's the difference. So, you're looking at Jordan Poole money. 120-something. Jordan Poole was the fourth option. And 133? For Washington Wizards? No, he was the fourth option when he signed that deal.
Starting point is 00:39:07 No, I'm talking about he went to be the number one option. And then became the number two. No, no, no, no, no, no. We're talking about you are the number one option. So you're there as the number one option. Jordan Poole signed his money as a fourth option. Right? We're talking about you are.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Let's just say LaMelo Ball then. No. LaMelo Ball is the number one option on the bottom of the team Actually, we can take the Warriors Actually We can take the Warriors They're not bottom feeding Yeah, pretty much
Starting point is 00:39:33 We're taking bottom feeding Golden State fits this This conversation that we're having So the situation with Golden State Steph obviously making the most bread. He made $52 million this year. Clay made $43 million. Chris Paul made $31 million. But he signed the deals.
Starting point is 00:39:52 So Draymond Green, because he signed the deal as a third option. Yeah, but this year Wiggins made more than Draymond. But I'm saying he's signing the deal as a third option. So Wiggins, what does Wiggins do? When did Wiggins sign the deal? And Draymond is definitely not the third option. Wiggins is the third option for sure. did we sign his name on is definitely not the last outfit Wiggins? This is the third option for sure when he signed the deal. No, I'm just saying when do you get that championship?
Starting point is 00:40:10 We're 20 22. Okay, well, I'll have the fourth option Yeah, but just just point out. Yeah, but I mean be whatever to say what is but it's making Fit he made 52 this so think about 50 50 to what? 52 to 17 But to me that's not a bottom feeding team because they're there There are a couple games out of being in the dynasty that they've always been I'm looking bottom feeding is Charlotte Hornets But they're the mellow ball. You are never getting out of this bottom feeding situation But you're always gonna be down here, but his but if he was in the league long enough, even on the bottom feeding team, he's going to be the $57 million. I understand.
Starting point is 00:40:50 But the conversation we're having is would you rather this on the bottom feeding team or this in the competing team? So you're going in free agency? I don't consider going in free agency. That's why I said the bag is somewhat comparable. I'd be out here. I have $57 million shooting all the shots. And then in the interview, just be like, yeah, you know, it's a good thing. It's a team loss. I'm saying all the shots and then in the interview just like yeah, you know That's a good there's a team loss. I said all the right shit
Starting point is 00:41:10 You know, it's tough out here, you know, okay better luck next year Give them tomorrow So bad professional back to the six or shot. We asked the the chat better fit with the Sixers PG or Jimmy had more than 3,000 votes. 55% said Jimmy. 45% said PG. That's close enough. 55% said Jimmy.
Starting point is 00:41:33 45% said PG. Let's talk about teams that are still currently in the playoffs. Celtics are playing with heavy hearts, entering game four of the Eastern Conference Finals following the passing of Bill Walton. So is Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle, who was teammates with Walton on the Celtics' 86 championship squad. Pacers without Tyrese Halliburton for the second straight game as he remained sidelined with a hamstring injury. And on the brink of elimination, it was deja vu all over again for the Pacers.
Starting point is 00:41:58 So Pacers look great for the first 44 and a half minutes of the game. They led by as much as nine points in the fourth quarter before suffering another late game breakdown celtics once again rallied back so you see it going on now yeah down five drew holiday nice and one to cut the lead to two pace uh such were down forwards a little over three minutes ago in the game then proceeded to close the game on a 7-0 run, holding the Pacers scoreless during that time frame. Started with the big dunk by Tatum.
Starting point is 00:42:29 Then Jalen Brown hit a nice floater to tie the game up. Man, that irritates me. Pacers tried to regain the lead. But Brown came up with a big steal on Neb Hart. And this big block. Give me those. With a little over a minute remaining. And with the game still tied at 102, Jalen Brown found Derek White in the corner.
Starting point is 00:42:51 White was one for eight at that point in the game, finished two for nine from three. To help seal that win. Boom. Gold. Gold. Oh, my God, Drew. Yeah. Yo, what is this boy doing?
Starting point is 00:43:06 It appeared... What the hell is Lisa McDonough doing? Pacers did not foul, ran the game out. Please rewind it. Yeah, can we just rewind that last part, Kyle? Jackson Tatum shot. Jackson Tatum getting ready to shoot the three. Stop.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Oh, shit. What the hell are you doing, man? But you don't move. But the thing is, you don't even go back towards Drew Holiday. You go towards the dude that's about to shoot the ball. And don't, listen, you ain't contesting it. You ain't going to double. You ain't doing nothing
Starting point is 00:43:45 You know what the best part about this all is? The defense look great because Whose fault is this drew holiday? What are you doing? Are you supposed to? Which one we cut? you know so funny, I'm watching this game and This is where just being a basketball player kicks in. I was always taught if they turn a head, move.
Starting point is 00:44:13 Absolutely. Back door. Now, if you ever look at Boston, they sit around the three-point line, and nobody actually is looking at them. Watch, we can go all the way back. Drew's supposed to cut because TJ was cutting the fuck out of them all last night. Oh, he went after, you shot the bitch, got off his rebound. Yeah, go all the way back, we'll see it.
Starting point is 00:44:31 Just, now keep going, keep going from the beginning of this. Just keep rewinding, just keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going. Oh, you can play it, you can play it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, keep going, keep going, keep going. You can play it, you can play it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Keep going, keep going. You want to talk too? Let me just show you something.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Let me just show you. We can start right there. Our exquisite replays. Keep it slow, it's fine. All right. Tatum, backdoor now. Yep. Now, keep going
Starting point is 00:45:09 Now Tatum don't Don't know Because if the ball gets stolen whose man is still in it. Yeah Was he they teaching they've been teaching spacing more than they have anything. Yeah, but still, though, at this point, you got to cut. Because they want all of that open space in the paint. So they'll say, all right, get deep corner. You stay spaced out because the nail guy is going to be the nail guy. But, like, I know what you're saying is when the nail guy step up,
Starting point is 00:45:38 he lose sight of the ball, back cut. It's going to be wide open because the space is open. Some teams do it. Yeah, some do it. Smart, smart. They move, like, I've seen him move further away from the three-pointer. Yeah, yeah, yeah. See how far back he is?
Starting point is 00:45:50 Look at how far back he is. He moved even further back. Yeah, yeah. Because he's trying to pull him with him. He's trying to like come, come, come. Yeah, so when the game on the line, though, I'm saying, Neesmith, like you in no man's land. You can go because if you had watched TJ yesterday,
Starting point is 00:46:05 every time Drew turned his head, he backdoored for a layup. Yeah, that's his natural instinct. And those defensive principles of being on the nail and watching the ball. Yeah. You ball watching. Because you're supposed to be below it, but they want to be so high. It reminds me, it's AAU basketball. Yeah, it is.
Starting point is 00:46:22 It's AAU, sit around the three-point line, drive and kick. Like, there's no open lane if we're in shell drill the whole goddamn time. Thanks. We'll take another look at Derek White's. Man, right here, he's supposed to back up right there. But look how far over so he can get the rebound. But if he would have just, before the layup. If he would have been already down, it wouldn't have even been as close.
Starting point is 00:46:42 The knee's almost got him. He almost recovered. See, if he drew back doors. If if he already down who is the hell man? Ne Smith or see that means Brown is no No It has to be nice Smith if you said if drew goes back door now drew goes back door and gets this ball from Tatum Ne Smith is the one that can see it because he can see drew coming That means Brown is wide open for the three if he doesn't even shoot it. Yeah, Nebhard comes down.
Starting point is 00:47:08 These are all difficult shots man at the end of the game. Yeah, so what you saw basketball that's like the hockey assist too for Drew Holliday to cut to take the other guys man away so yeah because he damn well was recovered. So Neesmith shouldn't even try to contest that Tatum shot. He didn't contest it. He didn't do anything. But just dive at that point trying to get the rebound, hope for a miss. Well, like I think... Because if he was swung that bitch real quick to Drew Holiday and Drew drove Jalen Brown got a wide open three in the corner. But you're up, you're up three. So at this point it's like you need to secure the rebound. Yeah, that's the only thing that matters at this point.
Starting point is 00:47:43 So you got to tie him up. He ain't no man's this point he ain't no man no man's land that's what that's my thing i see what you're saying once that shot goes up he should go crash shouldn't even been over there far now once you seen this dude he hadn't contained he didn't beat him he getting ready my turn is on him you're not going nowhere you got a big guy that's finna contest this shot yeah why are you you in no man's land. You, for me to give and you ain't, there's nothing that I could do to bother his shot right now.
Starting point is 00:48:10 The coach is blowing the whistle and we're like, what the hell are you doing? Yeah. What do you, stop. What are you gonna stop? He ended up giving up
Starting point is 00:48:17 the offensive rebound and his man got it. That's the point. It's like, you gotta blow the whistle and be like, yo, you just,
Starting point is 00:48:21 what are you doing? This is shell drill. We need one stop. It's three, down three. We need this rebound. What are you doing? Yeah? Now you ain't nowhere near you ain't effect nothing about the plate you did nothing on that plate to affect All I was yelling the whole time is back just back back. Okay, that's cut Cut one thing about shell drill dog, they usually have this element called cutting. Right? You try to cut in front of them. Right? That used to be hell.
Starting point is 00:48:50 You try to cut in front of a dude, that motherfucker get to chuck the shit out you. Now you got to cut behind him. Like, it was things you do, but it's always just being a basketball fundamental. If your man cuts, I mean, if your man is looking at the ball, remove yourself. Yep.
Starting point is 00:49:08 I shouldn't be able to do this for 10 seconds and then your ass is still right here. I better look like this. Oh, shit. Bad basketball. God damn it, he made a layup. Yep. And you got to let people know what shell drill is. It's four on four.
Starting point is 00:49:22 You know what I'm saying? Elbows, boxes, defense. I hate four on four. Five on four. I hate four. No, I hate four It's four on four. You know what I'm saying? Elbows, boxes, defense. I hate four on four. I hate four. I hate four. Or five on four. So that we used to, shell drill being four on four, five on four. We're always at a disadvantage because we're scrambling defensively. But that's a problem with four on four. I always thought it was dumb to do four on four because it's not realistic to how you're going to play, right? Everybody's doing so much extra shit when you get
Starting point is 00:49:48 on the game, bring the five man up. Now this bottom guy is running the fuck up here because he's been doing it the whole time. It's like, stay your monkey ass down. He's fucking it up. Yeah, because the man is here. And that's what ends up happening. Like, they've been playing four on four and his ass over here like, you're like, yo, what are you doing? I got this motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:50:03 I was going to help like I did in practice. Show punk ass back in your spot. That was the only thing I hated about 404 was like, these ain't even my spots, dog. These ain't even my spots, especially the bottom part. This ain't even my rotation because it's like, this guy goes here, the other guy on the bottom
Starting point is 00:50:20 has to go all the way over and he's so used to that knowing that's the sinner's job. and that's the hypothetical you have to be like when you get beat back door on the phone for you like man it's gonna be a fifth man right where you at in my spot in the game bitch I don't go past this motherfucking square in the game in the game facts so Jalen Brown led the Celtics with 29.6 rebounds, three steals. He's 11-22 from the field, four for eight from three. Tatum added 26 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Drew Holiday had another solid game with 17 points, nine rebounds. And Derek White had 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, five steals, and three blocks. Filled up the stat sheet. So Andrew Nebhart came through with another big performance for the Pacers. He had 24.6 rebounds, 10 assists. Siakam had 19 and 10, but a couple of bad plays late in the game. Questionable turnovers. I know.
Starting point is 00:51:16 What do you do with young fella? Which one? Nebhart? Pay him. Because then think about Matherin and Steele over there there too. They got three killers cuz me Smith gonna get better But the fact that he's he's he's adding assist to so yeah Like he he can get people to ball. No, he could do it. He's not the same I need to do a how they do though. No, he could go get you one
Starting point is 00:51:43 He can think of the way they play and Getting out and playing fast and all that He gonna get assists Yeah, they make anybody anybody in that and that's just because they got the ball is in for they playing fast And he's the he's he's the first outlet Right. Mm-hmm. He's the first outlet. He made a few plays in half court. I'm not saying that he's not making plays in half court,
Starting point is 00:52:07 but they play so fast. It's the boom. Take a hit. So how do you know his real value? Three or four of them, huh? So how do you know his real value? I don't. His bucket right is.
Starting point is 00:52:17 He can play. Don't get me wrong. You know when we have guys in offense like that, and it's like, well, if we lost Hallie, we put him in, and he's doing the same thing. Like, God damn it. So let's talk about it. Maxie.
Starting point is 00:52:28 How do we value these two players? Neb Hart, last two games without Halliburton, averaged 28 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds. For the playoffs, he averaged 15, 6 assists, 3 rebounds. Because he's coming off the bench. That's Tyrese Maxie Phil. I mean, he was starting. He just wasn't playing that Halliburton role.
Starting point is 00:52:51 See, so he's basically, so he needs the ball in his hand. Just like Tyrese Halliburton. Tyrese, yeah. So he was a second-round pick 2022. Eligible for an extension this offseason. Oh, yeah, they got that. I know he was like, thank you, Halliburton. Oh, yeah, they got that He got I know I know he okays. I know he would have like thank you Haley man. I appreciate it dolly my dog He was after so you think I know he was after 15 But this 28 and 10 with these last two games you think that put him over the top in terms of our we got it
Starting point is 00:53:19 We got to pay this dude now just based on what he did against showcase Okay, the Easter conference you have to look at it in real time, right? It's a hypothetical but the two-game shit if they would have played a few more games in this playoffs serious shit 2010 that's a lot. Yeah I mean 310 and we losing at the end of the game just being inexperienced competitive keeping us in the game he's keeping us in the game and it's a big shots last series and it's the way he getting it it ain't like he's getting dirty buckets like he's going out there iso island let's go get come get this bus so you think because i was gonna ask you that i think pacers got to break that bread yeah well they
Starting point is 00:54:01 gonna lose the asset yeah they also got siak, but we'll talk about that in a second. So, Pacers fell to 1-8 in conference finals in franchise history. Celtics won their franchise record six straight road games this postseason, seven straight overall. Now have a nine-day break as they await the winner of the Western Conference Finals. So, Jalen Brown was named the Larry Bird Eastern Conference Finals MVP. It's a close vote. He edged out Jason Tatum, getting five of the nine votes.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Tatum got four. But even looking at this list, it's crazy that these nine people determined. Who the fuck are these people? I mean, I know Dennis Scott. Doris Burke. Doris Burke. Yeah, PJ Bellissimo Gary Washburn legend Boston Globe he's Boston Globe yeah okay so obviously go
Starting point is 00:54:56 you know okay team TB reporters it is what it is. You've seen a few of these people. These are the only voters? Those are the nine people. Only nine. Those are the nine people that determine who will be the Eastern Conference Finals MVP. Like I said. Brown got to make it nine, so there has to be a winner. Has to, yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:18 Okay. But then, I mean, I don't know because even still, you could go 4-4-1 or whatever. You know what I'm saying? There's ways you can break that. What happens if it's 4-4-1? They split it. It has not happened yet. It's been two years we've been doing this.
Starting point is 00:55:34 Okay. Wait, wait. It's only been two? They've been doing this for two years? No. It's only been a couple. It's 2022. Probably what they do is they only give you fucking two names to vote from.
Starting point is 00:55:44 Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So you can't vote for a third person. I think finals MVP is 11 voters. I don't know if that's changed, but... But this one, you can't... I think you can pick. You can vote for multiple then.
Starting point is 00:56:00 Vote for anybody. Okay. Yeah, so why would... Yeah, I don't understand that. Yeah. Because it could easily be that. Exactly. So, what they tell them, what, change your vote?
Starting point is 00:56:12 If you the I guy out, if it's 4-4-1, what, they go back to the room like it's jury duty? You gotta break it. Like, you gotta... So, after the game... Okay. Where's these were? Jeff USA Today, right What does he do?
Starting point is 00:56:45 Covers the NBA believe for you. It's a national NBA writer a writer national. Yeah for USA USA Today. Where is he located? Wherever you say. Do we know if he watched all the games? Like these people, I want to know. Like the Boston Globe, Gary. Okay, cool. He was there. I know you watched the game. Dustin from Indianapolis Star was. Yeah, Dustin.
Starting point is 00:56:59 I would give Dustin that same. So they're all assigned to the series? These people have been at every single game. Okay. Credentialed media. Same for the finals. With credentialed seats. Okay, so the guy, okay.
Starting point is 00:57:10 Or whatever this media seating is. For sure. So we got any star, you got a boss. Okay, I just want to make sure they ain't sitting at the house. Oh, no, no. Everybody's there. Okay, everybody's there. The host is there.
Starting point is 00:57:20 Okay. All right. Is it bad if they're sitting at the house and watching the game from home? Why? Because how do we know we're watching the game? Why because I don't know We're watching the game. Hmm. I know they're watching the game But is it a better viewing experience to watch it at the crib? No, no, not if you're voting But how do we know they're watching the game if they're at the game? You don't that's do we don't know
Starting point is 00:57:37 I'll take that. That's that's the point. I'm making though. We all been to games And I would argue on the phone. Yeah, I'm just like... But I'd rather take you at the game than your ass at home. And they looking at the stats at the game. They got the computer. Just like you, they got the box scores, and they just sitting with their shit right here. But you know, you go to Staples, they got to sit behind the hoop.
Starting point is 00:57:56 Like, how much are you really seeing of the floor, spacing, everything? That's what I'm... You got a game feed, I believe, at the desk as well. But that's what I'm saying. As long as they're all in the building that's cool. Did you motherfuckers once in in Australia some shit like that? Okay cool, so So, like I said Jaylen Brown edge out Jason Tatum after the game Brown said he was surprised to be named the Larry Bird
Starting point is 00:58:21 ECF MVP But had a special message for all of his critics. I think I'm one of the best two-way wings, guards, whatever you want to say in this game. You know, I thought this year I've taken a level and I've increased it. I took the matchup. I picked up guys full court. I chased guys off screens. I battled with bigs and I felt like I should have been all defensive.
Starting point is 00:58:41 And that probably hurt me the most because that's one of the things that I set out in the season that I wanted to be. But, you know, as time has gone by and I got to this point, like, I just stopped caring. And I just embraced I don't care who sees what. As long as my team knows my value, my city knows my value, my family, that's all I really care about. But, you know, I like to set my hat on just being a versatile two-way wing and can do both at any point in time. And the last kind of four minutes of this game kind of you saw that. So for the series, Brown averaged 30 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals, 52% from the field, 37% from three.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Tatum averaged 30 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and two steals. 52% from the field, 37% from three. Tatum averaged 30 points, 10 rebounds, six assists. So they both averaged 30? Yeah, Tatum led the Celtics in points, rebounds, and assists for the series. 46% from the field, 31% from three. Did the voters get the Larry Bird Eastern Conference Finals MVP
Starting point is 00:59:41 right? Shout out Larry Bird. Magic in the West. He averaged a double-double? Tatum averaged a double-double. Double-double and six assists. So, yeah, so, okay, so the only problem you will have here is Tatum ends up being in the record books with, I think he's the fifth or sixth player to ever... Fifth to lead his team in points, rebounds, and assists
Starting point is 01:00:07 throughout the playoffs. I think it was like Joker, LeBron, Duncan, and Jason Kidd, right? We went to four. LeBron did it four times. And make it to the finals. And make it to the finals. So, him winning that award, or him doing that,
Starting point is 01:00:21 shows how important he is. Jason, Brown, I'm not mad at that, especially from how he played last year. And I think the consistency of what he's done from number one all the way to this game is deserving in itself. We expected Tatum to do what Tatum is doing, right? And I think, you know, no one expected Brown to play the way he played this postseason. So it's deserving.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Yeah, but specifically this series, these four games, obviously had that big game one, hit the game tying three to four, so OT. Tatum came out big in overtime, but specifically this series, these four games, obviously had that big game one, hit the game tying three to four, so OT. Tatum came out big in overtime, but kind of put up a stinker in the fourth quarter of that game. Jalen Brown still had a 40-point game in this series. One, listen, one is rebounding, so his stat is a bit better. One's playing defense, right? You know, they're bringing different values to the game.
Starting point is 01:01:22 Either one could have got it, and they gave it to the guy that they thought was it who doors Burke vote for Brown yeah now doing one of the games on like I'm listening to the broadcast mm-hmm Jason Taylor look lackadaisical right now. He's not engaged. He's just getting blown by all. Oh, she was on, so.
Starting point is 01:01:50 She was on? Oh, she was on. You were saying what I was saying. But this is during the finals. This is during the East Coast Finals game. You were saying it earlier. She was saying it during the East Coast, so I was wondering who she voted for. Do you agree with how the vote went?
Starting point is 01:02:04 Do you think Jaylen Brown deserved? Absolutely. Okay, just want to know if it was anyone my favorite this series Because his attitude towards like he said the challenge the two-way side of the ball playing both sides, but being aggressive Through the first three quarters setting the tone for how he was gonna to play and how he needed his team needed him to play. And then his comment when he said, finally JT woke up in the fourth. After game one. Right. That was- Or an OT said he woke up in overtime. Man, that was to me the sign that he has always handed it off to Tatum to be the number one guy. He plays Robin to Tatum.
Starting point is 01:02:50 And I think that when you're waiting in the wind for Batman to show up and he's just out there like, man, I don't want to say today, today. And you're like, well, about time he woke up. I think that him winning it shows that he's capable of doing it. It's like Ricky Bobby and them in Talladega Nights when the friend finally starts winning, and he's like, well, I can win now too. Now, I don't want to give it back to you.
Starting point is 01:03:14 I want to keep winning. I like to win. I don't like to be second place all the time. So I think now it's like Jalen Brown. He got the money. He set out goals that he got shorted on. Yeah. Didn't make an all-NBA team.
Starting point is 01:03:27 Thought he should have made an all-DF team. Can I ask you something? If Tatum said that about Brown, would we be having a problem? Who has a problem? You know what I'm saying? With the media turning,
Starting point is 01:03:37 like you're glorifying that he called him out. Now, if Tatum said, I'm glad he finally showed up for the playoffs. He finally came to play, you know, in the playoffs. Didn't come last year, didn't come the year before that. What if he said that?
Starting point is 01:03:51 But do you feel like Brown was throwing, I mean, because listen to the comment, it didn't feel like he was throwing him under a bus. I think it was kind of just. No, I mean, I know what you're saying, but I'm saying if it. But it can be interpreted as something. He's our leader. You're our leader. We're expecting you to do what you do, and we're glad you showed up.
Starting point is 01:04:06 No, but I'm saying if it came out the other way, and he said, I'm glad he showed up and finally came and helped, said the same exact words. The exact same words. To me, that's the same exact words. It's a challenge amongst men, yeah. Well, would it be like this? Damn, is he calling this player out?
Starting point is 01:04:19 No, I would say exactly what I'm saying right now. Nothing for me is going to change. You know what it seems like? If the star player says it about everybody else, it looks like, it sounds like they're throwing him under the bus. Like when Embiid said it against his, if it's the second or the bench player said it about the other one, it seems like some type of challenge and encouragement.
Starting point is 01:04:42 It rarely happens, though. It rarely happens because a guy like Jalen Brown is a guy that can step into that role. It's not a lot of guys that actually say that from the other side that can step into that role. Step into what role? The star role. I mean, times this postseason,
Starting point is 01:04:56 Brown has looked like the number one option on the squad. Stop. Facts. Stop. Facts. He is the number one option. Stop. To me, they just put Jason Tatum in the front
Starting point is 01:05:06 I'll be Jalen Brown's better Who put him in the front? Shit his game people his game people See this is why I went to do the fact that he's you know, it's the history You know the prodigy, you know, Jalen Brown is you know, I don't like about stuff because this is the these are the things Kobe be Kobe used to prove. Motherfucker, I'm getting doubled. You're not.
Starting point is 01:05:30 Jason Tatum is getting doubled. Jalen Brown's not. Right? So, yeah, you look like the number one option because two people are trying to stop me. So when you get the ball, you get to play one-on-one basketball. Congratulations. You get doubled, and let's see what you do. Well, they can't double.
Starting point is 01:05:46 You're not going to average 30, 10, and 6. Be a double team. They can't double both of us. Yeah, they can. Yeah, they can. They can't double both of us. Yes, they can.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Yeah, they can. They just refuse to. It wouldn't make basketball sense to put four people one-to-one. They double Kobe and they double Shaq. Not at the same time. No, they double Kobe.
Starting point is 01:06:03 Not at the same time. That's they double Kobe not at the same time You get the ball, but what I'm saying is you can't be the number one option if you're not demanding number one options Stop doing that's why I don't like when people do that Jalen Brown was getting double at a time during the season when he's not in the series during the series after after when he was on The sideline. Oh my god, Gilbert. You can't be doing this We can't be doing this. He just told you we just We watch highlights right now he just called out a man for being a no-man's own he wasn't doubling he was he thought about it He was trying to but he didn't He didn't win. I've ever seen have you ever seen anybody that close to Jaylen Brown man?
Starting point is 01:06:44 Yeah, no, yes. Double a no. Yes. Come on, man. Stop doing that. Jalen Brown is better than that. Stop pushing those dumbass narratives, man. Ain't no narrative.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Who got the MVP? If he was better, if he was better than tell him to be better. Who got the MVP? Tell him to be better. Who got 300 million? What you talking about, man? We out here. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:07:01 That's not. We out here. And we getting penalized because we didn't tell them. Well, guess what? See. 300 million. 300 million. I'm sorry. That's that's y'all here and we get pin lock 300 million gonna be second highest That's cuz I'm too smart to make a all NBA and all these This is not to play I went to the wrong school. He already got his back though Just stay with fat. I went to the wrong school, right? If you're the number one option number one say that ain't got nothing to do with making our VA thing
Starting point is 01:07:27 Sources say y'all don't give me this a work. I'm too smart. I never went up should I play? I don't like this I just don't like ones getting double and then number twos getting off how number two supposed to get off Dean But oh, he should be better Mason they're like damn a double that nigga right quick, man. Sure, that nigga can't go right. Double him. Double him. Stay on his right hand.
Starting point is 01:07:48 He ain't going to go left like that. Double him. Let me hear that shit now you're getting double. I'm over here getting double the whole motherfucking time. You over here getting free shots. I should be the number one option. Bitch, I wish you was so I could get free shots. That's... And I mean, so when we talk about people getting off, there's a reason you get off.
Starting point is 01:08:06 So you saying Jalen Brown is getting off because Jason Tatum is too good. I'm saying you think one's the number one option because he gets to play one-on-one basketball while the other one's getting double. That's what I'm saying. I don't understand what that means. You know what it means. Could you explain it a little bit? You know what it means. Could you explain it a little bit? You know what it means.
Starting point is 01:08:26 One what? You know what it means. No, I don't. I don't. You know what it means. I honestly don't. I really, I honestly don't know what that means. You know what it means.
Starting point is 01:08:35 It means that Jason Tatum is that good that he don't need Jalen Brown? That's not exactly, that's not what I said. I'm asking you. I'm saying Jason Tatum gets doubled. So if Jalen Brown would leave... If Jalen Brown
Starting point is 01:08:49 was to leave the team, would the team be where they are now? No, he'd be getting doubled and triple teamed. Triple teamed? Jason Tatum's that good to get triple teamed?
Starting point is 01:08:57 He averaged 30, 10, and 6 on a double team. Against fucking the Indiana Pacers. What are you talking about? He gets double teamed. what are you talking about? The man on the paces in our places So how you discrediting in this dude who average 30 10 and 6 from planning Indiana Pacers then you're bigging up
Starting point is 01:09:20 I'm not another The same team I'm saying another person up nothing. I mean he's better the same team. I'm saying he's better I can see any other things throughout the last Indiana past four years last three years. I have you want to mix it master it man. Oh Have you want to mix and master it man? Okay, glad you showed up today Glad you showed up to help us Jason wake up. Oh, you're talking to Jeff Like your point, though He could have said he could say the same thing about Jalen Brown the last couple years in the playoffs. He could
Starting point is 01:09:51 So but when you look at this Tatum and Brown duo obviously one of the best in the league but the number yeah But the main guy ain't gonna call out his guy. No What is Tatum and Brown's chemistry like now compared to past seasons? Who knows? Their chemistry? Who knows that? They appear to be locked in at a very high level, obviously. They've been locked...
Starting point is 01:10:15 They've been on the fucking team for six years together now. I would hope so. I would hope so too, KD, but we're seeing it. They can fucking hate each other. Yeah, but I mean, you don't got to like guys that have good chemistry with them, right? Huh? You don't have to like a dude. You don't have to like somebody as a teammate.
Starting point is 01:10:36 But you say it's just them two. Chemistry, like it ain't. Yeah, but just. There's multiple pieces that's involved with this chemistry set that you. It ain't just them two. I hear you. Yeah. I understand, but no.
Starting point is 01:10:48 They're playing well together, but I don't know their chemistry. They're playing great basketball individually to help their team. Like, we're feeding off one another, and I don't see that at times, but they both do what they got to do to help their fucking team win, ultimately. But I don't...'t and then getting it done Yeah, no, I just Yes So Rashad, I see you basketball Celtics gear
Starting point is 01:11:15 repping your team made a wise decision beginning of the year abandoning confidence coffee Miami heat Make a move to Beantown. How much faith do you have in the Celtics to win the chip? We've talked about this all playoff. Easy road.
Starting point is 01:11:30 They only can play who they can play. But even these four games against the Pacers, two against a squad without their all-NBA point guard, coming down to the wire like this, how much faith do you have in the Celt this squad to be able to win a chip in this series it? It was a tough series to get through because I had high expectations from them to dominate throughout through but I'd like I said Jalen Brown got a lot of favor from me From his approach and and even the recent backlash that he got and I'm starting to see why
Starting point is 01:12:06 He moves the way he moves and how the game goes for him. So with him and Tatum Moving a certain way. I think with drew holiday playing the way he playing white playing way he playing Everybody's moving the way they moving. They got a great chance to pull it out. I Think Jalen Brown's confidence in his defense are going in against Luka and Kyrie. Once they get through this series it's gonna be a good matchup. So my confidence is only gonna be in their approach. How they approach the series. How they approach this finals. If they
Starting point is 01:12:42 look any way they've looked in the last two series, I'm not going. It's going to look bad. I think they need to up it up a lot. Joe, do you agree or disagree with that? With what? With championship Charles just said. What did he say?
Starting point is 01:13:00 Y'all got to stick together, man. No, what he say? What he say? I mean, this is... As much as he lose, he get tone deaf. You don't want to hear nothing I say. I get it. I mean, this is the same...
Starting point is 01:13:15 The fucking glare from this shit is just fucking... Isn't it? This is the same person who said this was about to be a series, right? Are we talking about the same Celtics band who said Indiana was going to give him a run for his money? Is this the same Celtics? No. If you don't show up, if you don't play, they'll give you a run for your money. I said this was going to be 4-0.
Starting point is 01:13:36 You didn't want to call me Gil Adamas when I said that. 4-0. I said 4-0. If the NBA wants to help them out and make it 4-1, yeah. But this is a 4-0. What do you say? Nah, this about to be a series. If they don't play.
Starting point is 01:13:50 No, you didn't use no if. Yes, I did. No, you didn't. Yes, I did. No, you didn't. You don't want me to because you want to win. You scrambling. All right, I'm going to pull up.
Starting point is 01:13:59 You know I'm going to pull up this clip. You hear what that? I just wanted to hear what you was going to say today. You hear that sound? Gil Shreddamus or Gil Alea? I don't know. What did I say? What did I say? This was a mean 12? What was a well predict? I just want to know what did I predict? You said it would be a sweet sweet What did he what did he predict this is gonna go?
Starting point is 01:14:17 How many he said the Celtics did not come to play it would be an interesting suit. Thank you very much He's a sire and every game from what I can remember that this is gonna be there No, no, he said this is gonna be that what their biggest challenge toughest challenge and I said you're gonna get the ass smacked I said this is a great matchup for the Boston Celtics. Was it oh No, okay. That's all I wanted to hear. Nope. Okay. So yeah, I agree with him Ladies gentlemen, this is gills representative Hello daughter dog fantasy cap. I agree with him full. Download the Underdog Fantasy cap. Abuse promo code.
Starting point is 01:14:46 This is the Underdog Fantasy cap. Download the Abuse promo code, Gil, and receive a $250 bonus. This ain't no Boston Celtics fan, man. He has a jersey. I hear he has a jersey. Talk about, this about to be a series. This is what happens when your team doesn't make it
Starting point is 01:14:59 to where my team is. This is what happens. You sit here. You watch my TV where they're gonna be regardless of how I say anything about my team y'all teams are watching just like y'all watching so sorry I got to get all that shit cuz got questions so if they get so they get smacked in the final so you gonna jump off the bandwagon for next year hell Hell yeah. Huh? Yeah. Hell yeah. One year deal.
Starting point is 01:15:25 Fuck yeah. One year deal. I didn't say I was a fan of the Boston Celtics. They just my team this year. They just my team. We break teams. It's root for y'all fans. I'm not no fan of nobody.
Starting point is 01:15:37 Y'all can be fans. I'm going to give you credit because you did pick them before the season started. So we can give you credit for that. You didn't wait to the second round. I go tell him what my plan was if the other team, we ain't gonna tell him that. But then he's gonna jump off. He's gonna be like the kid at the game. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:55 Movin' to take the jersey off and you got the other jersey on up underneath. Motherfucker better get your shit together. Shit. Be like the kid. Don't look right, don't feel right, don't sound right. Bitch, I'm outta here. So you got three jerseys on, then't sound right. Bitch, I'm outta here. So you got three jerseys on you and they start playing the world again, you got the other
Starting point is 01:16:08 team back jerseys back on? He said, I'm not invested. I know when to jump off the ship. I ain't loyal to you niggas, you been getting your shit together. That's what the transfer portal's for. For the facts. Shit. Very active.
Starting point is 01:16:20 Got a lot of jerseys to pick from in that closet, nigga. that closet y'all remember when I was looking for jerseys I'm sitting there looking I was like why am I going to the store I know Rashad has damn near every hat that I need to be looking for y'all know how wise men who winning this year
Starting point is 01:16:40 y'all look good got a chance huh so can you have the most playoff experience on the couch I'm winning this year. Y'all look good. You got a chance, huh? Let's go. See ya. So, Ken, you have the most playoff experience on the couch. Two-time Eastern Conference Finals champion. Been to two finals.
Starting point is 01:16:55 How important is rest between playoff series, and how much rest is too much in terms of keeping your rhythm? They're on both sides of it. Yeah. You had like an 11-day break between one of them fights. Like May 24th, they didn't start until like the June 4th, whatever it was. I'm just looking like, damn, what are they doing? Yeah, so I done been on, and shit, that was the second one. Second one, yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:22 That was the second one. So we won, so we split in San Antonio. So it was, game one was tight. Game two we won. So. So after, okay, so after your last game. Yeah, 11 days. 11 days.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Because we swept both, we swept. Both rounds? Both, like, the second round and the Eastern Conference finals. Yeah. So what did you, so did y'all take, like like the first two days off? What is y'all like? We've got it, but it wasn't an string you was like we probably went to gym guys shots on shit like that. What not crazy Yeah, that's a big case Yes, I know James Harden would have been in Vegas. I know where he going to be. I know where he going to be. He would have been in Paris. I would have been with him.
Starting point is 01:18:05 Shannon. Shannon, boss, where we going? Yeah, I don't think there's a right now because you want to be as healthy as you can possibly be going into the finals. So if guys have any little nagging injuries or anything like that, you can get them right. But the rhythm thing is getting that rhythm of playing games every other day so you kind of want to keep that and then the finals is every two days in between these games so yeah it just depends on
Starting point is 01:18:35 the person man I think but these teams have like Boston has been there so I think they kind of know what to expect yeah right I'm just working smart trying to avoid injury trying not to do as much five-on-five stuff as you could possibly limit to avoid injury but it's gonna be a lot of a lot of cardio a lot of cardio right to implement you gotta try to simulate that game energy because it's the biggest stage, man. But it can be tricky.
Starting point is 01:19:09 It can definitely play in your favor for the rest or game one could definitely go the other way. So Celtics potentially have nine days. I think the Mavs would have eight if they win tonight. For me it's just crazy to think you can get to a lot of trouble in those eight or nine. Yeah, that's a lot of days. Yeah, that's a lot of days.
Starting point is 01:19:24 I think we have seven days. Yeah, yeah, yeah lot of days. Yeah, that's a lot of days. We had seven days. I mean, that's like an all-star weekend. You know what I mean? Like, God damn. One on May 24th, I believe, game one of that finals was June 4th. Yeah, we was putting... See, this is bad. We were the Memorial Day weekend.
Starting point is 01:19:37 We was putting foot to ass. People don't understand how dominant we were in the East. We were putting foot to ass, man. I'm just trying to figure, like, just trying to put myself in that situation, right? But how do you? Probably take the first two days off try not to do none. Just therapy or something. I don't know massages of shit You can't mimic the game. Yeah, it's like what is like I got to do some what do you read? Yeah, we're gonna do the practice but you try to limit them how many you like
Starting point is 01:20:06 When do you rent risk the injury in fact is trying to play get it in playoff shit You gotta get but you gotta get it in here. It's gotta be like a training camp type of environment Especially you got that many days doing circuits and shit and shooting drills like You ever do enough condition to replicate no, no No, cuz you're moving no matter how much you run five miles a day. I'm off. We're gonna get on that court That's a lot of time that was always funny when the football players came. It was like, these plays are longer than four seconds. But the way the money is, they can't move it up. That's the thing.
Starting point is 01:20:53 They physically cannot move the game. Well, I'm sure they're expecting now if we've got the two best teams in each conference playing each other. You don't expect both teams to sweep, though. That's what I'm saying. You're not expecting sweeps on both sides. You're hoping at least six games. You think we at least had until shit, this weekend.
Starting point is 01:21:09 Because I was hoping for that too. At least for the 31st. It's good for both sides. So if this wins, if they win. Tonight they got eight days. But if they lose, they play, what's today, Tuesday? They play Thursday. And if they lose that, they play Saturday. They play Saturday, they win that, Tuesday? They play Thursday. Thursday. And then if they lose that. They play Saturday.
Starting point is 01:21:26 They play Saturday. They win that. And then they play Monday, I believe. So it's every other day right now. Yeah, Monday going into a Thursday final start, which obviously is probably not going to happen. If they sweep tonight, it's best for both teams because then they can both start fresh.
Starting point is 01:21:40 That's going to be ugly. So they can literally take the time off, like y'all said. That's going to be an ugly game one. Yeah. Game one could be nasty and violent. That's gonna be so it they can literally take the time off like y'all's gonna be an ugly game or yeah The game what could be? Nasty, they give me they could be 150 or 95 Either way he can go ain't gonna be no in-between, but I think that's the fair the fairness of it is now There ain't no advantage
Starting point is 01:21:59 On both sides, you know, why me be like this one team coming off a sweep another team didn't play six That's a different On both sides. There's one team coming off a sweep and the other team didn't play six games. That's a different field right there. So it's an even playing field. But do you give the team that's coming off the sweep the advantage versus the team that's been consistently playing? You'll give them game one, but then... That's why I said it's always the teams that beat each other up on one coast and the other coast cruises through.
Starting point is 01:22:24 And that's what you were saying about the self Who's going in in his finals that were likely gonna be facing the team? Between the wolves or Mavs that had beaten each other up to each other up. It looks like it ain't gonna happen Let us more in them to though the momentum of being able to play after those Like those grueling games and go into another one. The only thing is gonna be Tiring out there in the end. All right? So then if Boston got that energy, it's like, oh man, we've been sitting back chilling. You would expect them to come in and kill you for game one because they got the energy,
Starting point is 01:22:53 but they off because they ain't really played like that. So it's both sides. You can see you're kind of off because you ain't played, and they're kind of tired because they've been playing. It's always going to be something like that. Well, he was in his generation the guys they different in our generation They ain't gonna be sitting around motherfuckers drinking shit Every other day going to the club. What the fuck disease motherfuckers do now play video games My baby I'll into your crown They play video games. Like, they challenging your crime? Sometimes that's even worse.
Starting point is 01:23:27 I remember I used to play, you know, it was Halo. I'd be at 5 in the morning, red eyes. They'd be like... What you been doing all night, man? They were like, you know, get off the games. It's a different type of tire, though. It ain't a physical tire. Yeah, it's a mental tire. Your mind doesn't have to work in those video games.
Starting point is 01:23:41 But this is the sixth Eastern Conference final sweep. Previous five teams went 3-2 in the finals so 86 Celtics 91 Bulls 96 Bulls all one Oh three nets are Canyon and the 2015 Cavs Lost those championship games, but let's feel Brad. So everybody lost They don't count Fuck Mike so you'll put us against Mike now. Oh, shit. Anything Mike and Jordan ain't on the list.
Starting point is 01:24:10 Right, it shouldn't be. It shouldn't be. Anything including Mike and Jordan shouldn't be on the list. So let's talk a little bit about Pacers. Pascal Siakam set to become a free agent this summer. With reports that Pacers will offer him a max contract. Two-time All-Star was a huge addition for the Pacers squad. When he got traded there back in January,
Starting point is 01:24:27 averaged 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists this postseason. How important is it for the Pacers to keep Siakam on their roster? Depends on if they can get somebody else at the same position. Depends on who it is. I'm just being honest. That's true. If I can't find nothing better. Yeah, if they can't, then it's...
Starting point is 01:24:48 Because you got a guy like, I'm saying, Paul George out there who's been there before. You got his fan base there. I can see them opting for him over Pascal Siakam. But... You never know. They might think they need something different at the position, but he's effective, don't get me wrong,
Starting point is 01:25:14 but they never know what the ownership and front office is thinking. But he don't get paid, so, hey, it's not a bad problem to have. He should stay there for sure. I think they need to find Miles Turner another destination. Friend of the program, Miles Turner always pulls up. For sure, Miles do what he do, but it's just time's up. You know what I'm saying? When time's up, you need a new change of scenery.
Starting point is 01:25:40 Got to move the fuck around. Looking at somebody that may not want to go to a place like that, like Andre Drummond. Somebody that can get a big presence and get some rebounds. You know what I'm saying? Even though they like to play fast, right? So you got to get some guys in there to make some things happen. I like Jackson. I like those young guys that they got, but they need to make some changes. Siakam is good. Matherin coming back. Neihardt, you know, he looking good. Tyrese, TJ, they got a bunch of good guards, but... Do they have enough?
Starting point is 01:26:12 No, they don't got enough. Yeah, my thing is Siakam... They got enough to make the playoffs every year, but... Siakam and Hadam Burton. Super Max and Max. If you're going to go somewhere and get something like that, them two are going to get there. In Indiana, them two get that? They got to give it to somebody.
Starting point is 01:26:35 I know, I know, but that's what I'm saying. It's like when we're talking about when we're looking at combos. Them two? It's like that. In your words. That's the NBA GM combo. In your words. That's nasty. That's like, you know what I mean? Because one is Supermax, one is Max. That's not the NBA Jam combo you're selecting first, second, third, fourth, fifth.
Starting point is 01:26:47 That's what they're looking at. You're like, ooh. Yeah. Unless you're... It's like back in the day, Chris Mullin. Why they on the game? Chris Mullin and Mark Jackson. Yeah, why they on the game?
Starting point is 01:26:55 Chris Mullin had a wetter... Who picked this combo? Rick Smith. Rick Smith. Who picked this combo? Dale Davis was on there. You could pick Dale. Chris Mullin had a wetter...
Starting point is 01:27:03 Chris Mullin had a wetter... Chris Mullin had a wetter... Chris Mullin had a wetter... Chris Mullin had a wetter... Chris Mullin had a wetter... Chris Mullin had a wetter... Dale Davis was on there. You can pick Dale. His brother had a wetter, though. Chris can play now. Goddamn. What I'm saying is we just finished talking about the other side, right? Right?
Starting point is 01:27:19 You have Tatum and Jalen Brown, Supermax and Max. No, that was Supermax and Supermax. Double Supermax. Yeah, so Jalen Brown got 300. I think Tatum and Jalen Brown, Supermax and Max. No, that was Supermax and Supermax. Double Supermax. Yeah, so Jalen Brown got 300. I think Tatum will get 350. So, man, it's all in Big Team Lad when he needs it. Oh, yeah. So, he's good.
Starting point is 01:27:32 Yeah. So, this is Embiid and Maxie. Yeah. Yeah. This is not that. Yeah. This is not that. It's not that.
Starting point is 01:27:41 So, I think Paul George fits in that. What we're trying to come, what we're saying here, like, Paul, is a combo. It's not there. So you and I think Paul George fits in that What we're trying to come with you what we're saying here like for the combo super maxing max a mass max Him in him in Yeah, okay now him Hallenberg him a super max but so it's Halliburton Paul George Yes a better look in the end then that's guys. Yeah, out in Halliburton. Yes better look for sure. Mm-hmm. It's more productive I think yeah, cuz PG get to it's just him now you move in see I don't have to shit. I would So the LA no, no, no what I'm free. We were right So we do you just let him go and then let him see his value. No, I would know I signed him trading
Starting point is 01:28:23 I would or do you try to lock your back up? I let him walk them. Yes. Look cuz cuz PG's up right now I'm overpaying PG will be a free agent if yeah, yeah, I'm sorry the final jobs out, right? I'm not gonna overpay Pascal. Yeah, somebody else can give me I'm not gonna I'm not gonna panic and overpay Pascal See how come right now? Would you be overpaying them paying them if you give me max contract 22 and 8 I think doing a will ash it. I was a champion That's I can't I can't I can't pay for a champion five years ago that you that you played us Okay, party
Starting point is 01:28:58 Hmm So it's bring you to my next question we're already talking about it. Even Kawhi, he's getting paid that money. He got the three year extension. We're going to talk about Kawhi in a little bit. But I mean, Kawhi, these are the guys that it's messed up with. So you're giving Pascal Siakam that, the three year 180 that Kawhi just got? No. But that's what he's up for?
Starting point is 01:29:19 That's what it is. Oh yeah, it was. And you're talking about Max. We're talking about Max too. As I said, I got to let him see. We're talking about numbers and we're talking about Max. And that's about numbers, too. That's what I said. I got to let them see. We're talking about numbers, and we're talking about Max. And that's the number? 3-180?
Starting point is 01:29:27 Probably. In Indiana, I'm giving it to them in Indiana. But see, that's the problem. Like, that contract in Indiana hurts them. Indiana? They don't hurt Lakers or Boston. They don't hurt them. How does it hurt them, though?
Starting point is 01:29:41 Because they're a small market team. They don't have a chance of winning. Yeah, so it's like... I mean, they had a chance this're small market team they don't have a chance to win yeah so it's like I mean they had a chance this year no they didn't like a team like that they have to be very very strategic with how they spend money and I don't think spending money on there's no team I thought it could be this is it math run up to When it get down to it. No. Matherin's not up? No, he's just a second year. This is his second year. So you got to have, I mean. I think they way more competitive if he plays.
Starting point is 01:30:14 What's his name got, I mean, young fella got to be, you know, 20. So Matherin, yeah, he's got a. He's an extension. Team is 25, 26. Yeah, of course. Yeah. Yeah, so they'd have to sign that extension summer 25, I believe so He's so they gotta sign him to money. They gotta sign a young fella right now part
Starting point is 01:30:32 So they got three people that's free agents Yeah, it's gonna be them demanding my turn to go one year left on his deal make a 20 mil next year TJ McConnell's got nine million coming next year when you're left on his deal They gotta be that right now, this summer is very crucial. Ovi's got a qualifying offer. Yeah, so he could be. This summer? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:51 Or is it unrestricted? Is he restricted this summer, or you say he got a qualifying offer? Oh, yeah. They got to extend the qualifying offer. Yeah. They have to. They have to. Right.
Starting point is 01:31:02 Yeah, so they got to be careful. It's really being careful on who you're going to pay, how much you're going to pay him. You can't afford to let him walk neither. They have to. Right? Yeah, so they got to be careful. It's really being careful on who you're going to pay, how much you're going to pay him. You can't afford to let him walk neither. You can't. You need athleticism. You need young athletes. But we can sign him to the most.
Starting point is 01:31:13 Yeah. So that's all I'm banking on. Yeah, that's what you're banking on with him. All right, what are you going to go out there and do? I'm keeping Siakam open, and I'm trying to move miles for better peace. So if you can get Paul George You still keep past Asiata. I mean
Starting point is 01:31:34 Yeah, I just seen Paul with miles. We've seen it But I don't think you it was miles as a young kid. Yeah, he was a key, but it's Indiana still it was busy He though they both didn't look that same energy has been there? So if Paul go back to Indiana, it has to look new it is has to look way more it is if I'm not there though. If see I come not there Paul is gonna be looked at to carry the load I don't think he's not carry the load Tyrese Halliburton is the Superman's ain't gonna carry the load baby, but it's just That's what I'm saying. Wait, well, I'll a bird he needs superman's name gonna carry the load baby, but it's just that's what I'm saying Wait, well a bird he needs somebody that's gonna help carry the load. Yeah, and that's what that's what Siakam was doing So what PG doing?
Starting point is 01:32:12 She PG areas more than Paul Pascal Siakam. I don't think PG want to hold I don't think you want to hold that but just if we're talking about numbers anybody responds. We were talking about numbers I'm all leadership, right? Yeah, he's a leader in his own right I just didn't talk is that no I'm just it's just tough and and I if I'm Indiana you have to tread very lightly here because you do have three people up three people deserving of their money important people right all three deserves deserving of their money. Important pieces. All three deserve, you know, they earned their money, so you know, you can't go out there and say,
Starting point is 01:32:50 alright, let me see what you're worth, because, you know, that'll backfire on your ass, because you can match me, but I ain't got to accept it. I think you can afford to do that with Pascal Siakam. Yeah. The other guys he named, I don't think you can afford to play that game with.
Starting point is 01:33:05 I remember he saying, like, roll it out there and see what you're worth. With Pascal Siakam, I'm letting him go test the water. I let him go test the water. Just to see, just let me see what you're worth. So we can always pay him, we can always offer him, because we can pay him more. You're losing what you get back. Oh, well, you're not losing. You got money.
Starting point is 01:33:22 In my opinion, you're not... I don't ever believe in... So the thing is with me, you can go out... See, there are certain guys around the league that has consistent success, right? And that's averaging 15 to 20 a night. That's consistent success. I ain't saying you was the man or you played
Starting point is 01:33:45 horrible, but your career, you've been consistent. There's a lot of guys you can fit in that realm that could be what Pascal Siakam is. So if I lose him? No, what I'm saying is if I lose him... Tobias Harris, for one. Think about the dollar I'm getting him for, though.
Starting point is 01:34:01 For the dollar? For the dollar, I can get him in another piece. I can fill that Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I can fill that void. That's what he's saying. No, I get one. No, I hear him, but I'm just saying. Because to me, Pascal Siakam don't move the needle. Okay, let's see if I can get... I don't think you can go out and get another
Starting point is 01:34:17 Pascal. No, what if I say, no, I don't need another Pascal. What if I can get for the same amount of money, what if I can get Tobias and, let money? What if I can get? Tobias and I say clay Would you let him walk then? Damn, I don't trust Tobias, but I Would cuz it sounded wait. What have you got them both together? No, it sounds great Yeah, but I didn't know I'm leaning on clay more than I'm leaning on Tobias
Starting point is 01:34:42 So I would have to it looks like more of a straight-up play for Yaskal than it does. Then you get an extra. It's a wild card. But then both of them started for you. You get rid of one and now you got two starters. And if I set the role for Tobias to be a rebounder, defender...
Starting point is 01:34:59 Where does Matherin fall in all this? Average is 16. Off the bench. This thing is still off the bench. Then you put Obi at the four and you go get you a five and it's... That would look good. I'm just saying. Paper. Pascal for Clay. No, I'm just saying it's one of those that if I let him go...
Starting point is 01:35:17 Because they all... You know, I have... They all fear you. If I let him go, I can... You know, who can I throw money at? Like, if you let him go and he really goes You're gonna have to overpay for something else That's what so you got to be willing to take that if he goes and there's no no takers. You're stuck with nothing Not because there's there's a there's a there's somebody out there like see what the fruit was the free agency
Starting point is 01:35:40 What's the free agency a pool look like? Well small pools? Yeah, if he was to walk. Who you stuck with? Is that Chris Middleton? No, he up. He up? He wants to trade. He wants to trade. Yeah, he just demanded to trade.
Starting point is 01:35:54 So there's not a lot. That's what I'm saying. Right now, there's not a lot out there that he walks. You can just go out here and just go pay for it. But I said, it's just one of them cities, man. You make one bad contract, bro, you're going gonna be sitting there trying to amnesty niggas You try to amnesty cuz if you made a bad investment You now you mad at see I'm cuz you signed them to the deal
Starting point is 01:36:20 Top small forwards they got PG first obviously can play that spot LeBron OG Ananobi Demar Buddy Hill Oubre Kept the big red like Kelly Oubre Pascal, huh? Yeah Yeah, you say Pascal. He's not only might be in a power forward. Is he a power forward? They got him at power forward. So this is hoop side, but Siakam, number one, power forward. Who's number two?
Starting point is 01:36:51 Right now, Miles Bridges. I'm going Miles Bridges. I'm going Miles. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm going Miles Bridges. But the potential for Miles is like. You know, we never seen him outside of Charlotte, though. But we see his get in the best thing about it
Starting point is 01:37:07 The best thing about miles is he already got robbed Before remember he was getting ready to sign a hundred dollars got in that trouble and he got in trouble. So with him is See I give us how much one what 80 180 miles I got I got a hundred for you and mouths need a pastor to yeah I got I got a hundred for you and I got 80 million where I can go get somebody else to now you know take that like hell yeah I'm back mom's British eight million dollars last year so yeah so said they've been fucking with him with them one-year deals because he had to take them one-year deals. Because he had to take that.
Starting point is 01:37:45 Yeah, he had to take it. He had to take that and come in and keep his nose clean, make no fuss because he was coming off of two situations. He might get something.
Starting point is 01:37:53 He might get something. I'm letting Pascal. You know, it's funny. That's one dude who might sign some big money this summer because everyone's sleeping on him.
Starting point is 01:38:04 KJ Martin I see LA mm-hmm hey 23 years old that is why what year five and 23 years is absurd bridges five years at 23 years so I'm at this party 23 years I've been in league five years like crazy that is wild to think about let's talk about another potential free agent. I think he's going to get paid to something, though. Another free agent that may be making some headlines. Rich Paul made an appearance on an alt cast of Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals,
Starting point is 01:38:34 made an interesting comment about the Lakers' coaching situation and LeBron's future with the team. You know, look, LeBron's a free agent. You have to decide, and I got to focus on his business, and he should be focused on his business, and let the Lakers hire whoever they want to hire. He's always showed up and played for whatever coach is there. But, yeah, I hear you, Ramon. And, again, I'm not, you know,
Starting point is 01:39:00 there's no need to try to drive a specific narrative or try to dodge. It is what it is. I think he's earned the right to have input if he wanted that, obviously. there's no need to try to drive a Super Mario or try to dodge and Williamsville did. I think he's earned the right to have input if he wanted that, obviously, but it's just not the case. Ballani's going to come. Hold on real quick. You said something, Rich. You said LeBron's a free agent, so I
Starting point is 01:39:18 take it LeBron's going to decline that player option. Chris, you know I don't do my business over there. I just heard what you said. I don't know what he's going to do. He's going to decline that player option. Chris, you know I don't do my business over there. I just heard what you said. I don't know what he's going to do. We're going to do what we do every year. We're going to evaluate the situation, and we're going to make the best decision.
Starting point is 01:39:36 So there were reports that LeBron is looking for a two- to three-year extension with the Lakers this offseason, but is Rich Paul saying LeBron is a free agent as big of a deal as it's being made out to be? I hear you saying no. Rashad, I'm shaking your head yes. Why do you feel? I think he let it slip. Trying to backpedal it right there.
Starting point is 01:39:58 Rich Paul, very intelligent man. He is. Very intelligent man. Very intelligent. We had him on this couch. Very intelligent. People fuck up. Players fuck up. Players fuck up People fuck up. Players fuck up.
Starting point is 01:40:06 Players fuck up all the time. They fuck up too. That's a leverage play. That's a leverage play. From which? That's a leverage play. Just like the podcast was a leverage play. Mind the gap.
Starting point is 01:40:18 Very good podcast. Set up the... How you set up a podcast, bro? Like that in the middle of the season. Come on, bro. Like that, in the middle of the season. Come on, man. Who know what we doing over here? Let's show your coaching
Starting point is 01:40:31 acumen, JJ. Come on, man. And then I'm going to go and say, ah, listen, man. Let's show the people you know the terminologies. Show them.
Starting point is 01:40:39 Show them. And then I'm going to tell you what I like. Yeah, let's put the definitions on the screen so you can tell. I like that too, Brian. I like to see you doing that. But let's not tell people that we gonna put the definitions on the screen so you can like that too Brian I like going to do it there, but let's not tell people that we gave you the definitions before he beforehand
Starting point is 01:40:51 Come on man. No production me. What can he sign as a free agent? Wrong where or what what what is the number he can start off at 60 right? Yeah The ad would got the three year 180 whatever was the better I was in you like 120 sign that three-year extension for like 183 from number second. Yeah, but in the highest annual average, okay, so So if he signs an extension, right the last number that he's gonna be on is is 51 million. And then you extend from there. So it'll be 51, 55, 60. You think it'll get the same? He can't get more if he opts out of that 51 million? No, if he opts out and he's a free agent, he has to sign a whole new deal.
Starting point is 01:41:38 Yeah. So he can sign a three-year 180 instead of signing that 51 million next year. With two more yeah no what i'm saying is if he says i'm a free agent and sign a whole new three-year deal instead of being 51 for next season he can be at 60 yeah so it's still it's two. So if he... Max he can do, Gil, is three for 162. Huh? Three for 162. That's what he can sign? Yeah, that's the most he can take. Three for 162.
Starting point is 01:42:15 Which averages out to 54 each, but you know the salary goes up a little bit. So what would that start? So it would be like 45, 50, 55. Something like that. It's 12% so it's on like a $4 million jump. So he'll start at... I did a $5 million jump to Gil.
Starting point is 01:42:28 That's the same thing. Huh? You said it would be a $4 million jump. I did a five just off the top of my head. Okay. That's not a big difference. It is just three more million. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:42:37 You know you can't mess with this man. He gonna... He gonna nitpick you. 50... So if he keeps this, if he keeps this, if he keeps this, then that means the distinction would be a two-year...
Starting point is 01:42:49 Like 100-something? Two-year 105 plus the 51. So he'll make more money if he opts out. Yeah. Probably like 10 or 12 more million. And think he's done enough to obviously earn that bread what he's meant to the
Starting point is 01:43:05 League so at this point no reason to think LeBron could play anywhere But with the purple and the goal for the next three seasons. Yes. Go ahead King So you said if he comes back to the Lakers, right? Not counting his money not count nobody pockets. I know how this way. I think I know you go with this Is it about winning right now? We're not talking to like a regular person I count his pockets either we're not we're not telling this I don't need no more bread I'm saying What we doing?
Starting point is 01:43:46 If it's 160, right? Mm-hmm. 120, 130, go get somebody else that can help me win. That's all I'm saying. A good piece. A good piece help us win right now. Good pieces. But now you put yourselves in that position. Are you giving up 30 million dollars?
Starting point is 01:44:07 For a good piece and it's a piece of that I'm if I'm about winning like this is what I'm not with this is the person we're talking about here, right that I'm in this argument to be the greatest basketball player of all time Then what people and what is what do people put into this equation that holds them back? Yep Championships, right time than what people and what is what do people put into this equation that holds them back yep championships right media the masses this is the argument out here right mike got six you ain't got mike got six right do you try to get close to that number if there's a piece out there that could potentially i ain't saying you gotta niggas off when you 160 you'd be like yeah I take 60 I ain't saying that at this juncture of where you are in your 21 22 whatever the fuck it is of everything that you'd accomplish all the money you made or do you want another championship is that is it that important to you or is that that's all I'm saying. Okay, then let's just do reality.
Starting point is 01:45:07 Reality is this. If he wins another championship or two, who's put him in front of Jordan? No, I'm saying, but there's, I don't know, but if people would make his argument,
Starting point is 01:45:16 there would be, use that argument now. It would be less, they use it now. And then when he, when he did, when he does get six, then I'm like,
Starting point is 01:45:23 well, he don't got the scoring title, so what I'm saying is, they're going to use something. Everybody's going to put him at the top, except for me. No, no, not everybody. So if he wins two more, what's the likeness of them?
Starting point is 01:45:36 Right? Not that long. I'm with you. I'm just saying. Being unanimous, go worth $30 million. Yeah, so no, no, no. So spending $30 million
Starting point is 01:45:43 to stay in second place is really what it is. How much? Hell no. I get it. I just, you know, when it comes to this, it's the greatest players want to be paid like the greatest. I'm with you. Absolutely. Michael Jordan took his $32 million.
Starting point is 01:46:00 For sure. Absolutely. He deserved it. There was no pay cut. When Kobe Bryant owned them bad teams, like, he didn't take no pay cut. He made on them bad tears like he didn't take no pain for 48 I'm with y'all go figure it out So, you know, I mean I I I don't see it But I don't see it. You know, it's just just a question
Starting point is 01:46:18 I don't disagree because I've always thought God want to win chip it. You're not cutting no deals with her You know what? You know why're not giving them no deals. When they worth $6, $7 billion. And that's the thing is, you want me to sacrifice for Kenyon, right? So you want to use our friendship. Yeah. You the billionaire, dog. How about you sacrifice what you're trying to profit? You want me to take away my profit when you can take away your profit.
Starting point is 01:46:42 You got 52 businesses, right? Yeah. Bitch, this is my only business. only give me one get him one of them i'm trying to stand where you stand i'm which i get it i'm just making it like it's about that for him the winning aspect of it right now is that where does that yeah see i don't think that that's all you can only use that on the young ones right now the older ones is like nah, nah, nigga, I know this trick. Y'all got me three times already. I've been in this league 20 years. Y'all done got me three contracts on this one.
Starting point is 01:47:13 At this point, we have no reason to think LeBron can play anywhere else but the purple and gold for the next three seasons before chugging the deuces on his basketball career, especially with the All-Star game, I believe, what, 2026? It aligns up to what's going on. Yeah, I don't. Listen, this is just plays. You know what I mean I don't there's no unless something unless they do something stupid right to them and I
Starting point is 01:47:32 don't know something that has something to do with his manhood and you know you know like Pat Riley takes some shit off the plane no more Charlie Chip cookies doing something that really compromised his business feels I don't see him but I will say this back-to-back seven-place finishes in the West, including back-to-back smackings by the Nuggets in the playoffs. And the Lakers are searching for the fourth different head coach since Bron
Starting point is 01:47:53 joined the team in 2018. But nothing's guaranteed. So we have a mostly fans question on the subject from underdog user Arizona Loner. He said, if all LeBron wanted was another ring, where would be the easiest place to win one next year Golden State no nowhere this reality because boss because because look
Starting point is 01:48:17 there's one thing he can't do and this is he cannot take a pay cut to go anywhere else they were in I said what if LeBron decided he was gonna team up with you know let's say Boston and say I signed vet minimum what happens a manager said, he can't do that. He can't do that. We'll investigate the fuck out of that. They said they will investigate if he took less than what he's supposed to get. There's only a certain amount.
Starting point is 01:48:58 If he's supposed to get 60, if he took 30, the rest of the NBA, if he took 30 and said, all right, I'm going to go with the Golden State. You know the other owners would investigate that. But what can they investigate? Why did he take $30 million less to fit with that team? Because he's a grown man exerting his free will.
Starting point is 01:49:14 He said that it is illegal. I didn't know. I did not know that. Like, you remember when you were talking about, you remember when he was a free agent the first time, they said if Lebron takes a million dollars, just a million dollars a year and they can sign these, these, these, and they're like, he can't do that. He is worth the mess, he has to take his value. He can't devalue himself to go fit somebody else.
Starting point is 01:49:38 They're going to find out why did he do it, what happened, and they will investigate in court. I was like, that's crazy as shit. Well, let them spend their money. The reason is because I want to sign here. There's no rhyme or reason I want to go in. That's the reason. There's no other underlying reason other than I got half as much money in the bank already
Starting point is 01:49:57 and winning trumps that right now for me. So investigate all you want. There's no, you can read all the emails they know we got you all just anything you want to read right it all lines up that me want to win so what can they say to that now they said it's they said there's only a certain but i've never known because it's never happened but they said there's only a certain there's a percentage that person has to stay within so like if you're worth $60 million, I think there's only a certain number you can go below.
Starting point is 01:50:30 Or they're going to call it. So, it only matters with guys that's making a certain amount? I think so. So, Udonis Haslam, all them years, wasn't worth more than he was signing for? Or was he not a big enough? I don't know. I'm just asking because he signed. Because he took less every year to.
Starting point is 01:50:47 Yeah, but I don't think it was big enough. What if LeBron said, hey, I'm washed now. Washed king. Yeah, like that's what I said. If he said, I'm going to take $2 million to go somewhere, I don't think the league allow it. So what was KG them signing for like them years when he went to, and Paul and went to?
Starting point is 01:51:07 So Michael Jordan signed a two-year, $2 million contract with the Washington Wizards. That's not. His value was, what was his value at the time? Nothing. It was averaging 20 a game. No. No, he signed it to play. What I'm saying is LeBron James just finished the season.
Starting point is 01:51:23 So he's the number one small for whatever, right? Top four. So he's worth, this is what his value is worth, right? So we're saying, all right, he can max out at 168. But what if he don't want to be with that team, though? 163. So Lakers can pay him the most. 163.
Starting point is 01:51:43 That means the next team that can pay him on the max is, what, 145? And he says, I'm going to go there for $45 million. They're going to veto that. But how can they veto if he signs as a free agent? What's going on here? I'm a free agent. What's going on here? Yeah, because that means he's supposed to sign for $140 something.
Starting point is 01:52:04 That means there shouldn't be no money left. That means he signed supposed to sign for 140-something. That means there shouldn't be no money left. That means he's signed for 45. So they're forcing the team not to be able to sign other players. Because it looks like some type of corruption, collusion, something like that. But how can it be, though? In some cases, I hear it. Like that, so. But how can it be, though? In some cases, I hear it. Like the Joe Smith shit. When they signed him, the Minnesota Joe Smith shit, right?
Starting point is 01:52:33 But they had to give. They gave him the money. They gave him the money. They gave him the money on the table. They promised those. It's some. They promised there, and then. Like, he was going to sign for a certain amount, but they didn't have it to give, so they was going to sign.
Starting point is 01:52:44 But it's not that deal. Yeah, but it's a struggle with that he's my player why can't i promise him whatever i want that's now that's weird right i'm not affecting anybody else i can't afford him right now i don't want him to leave so i'm saying hey no matter what happens i'm willing to sign you this deal that's my player. I don't know why that's a problem. Yeah. Right? Well, that seems normal. Right?
Starting point is 01:53:09 I can't afford you right now, big dog. But you hang out with me for one more year, I got you. So you don't leave. That seems like normal business. No, but I think they was going to sign him, but it was some underlying shit behind it. Right? It wasn't like I got you next year shit. No.
Starting point is 01:53:27 Well, I thought it was because I was having... So when I was at Golden State, when I was at Golden State, they couldn't afford me that year. So the deal was, this is our deal. I signed back for 4.9, right? 4.9. And then I had a written deal under the table seven years 79
Starting point is 01:53:47 Okay, right So I was there was no sign that they get a copy put in and what's it? It might get a copy put it right and it was like I was like I was like that's the same thing like Joe Smith Yeah, right. Yes, but it was what was wrong with that? It wasn't his team though, I don't think. No, I mean it was Minnesota. He was on Minnesota? Yeah, he was on Minnesota. I thought he was coming from... No, he was on Minnesota.
Starting point is 01:54:11 He was Minnesota and then he didn't play very well, right? He didn't play well that year. Joe was drafted by Golden State. He was drafted by Golden State. I thought he was coming from Golden State. He was drafted by Golden State. I thought he was coming from Golden State to Minnesota, and that was the deal. They had him under the table. If I'm not mistaken.
Starting point is 01:54:37 I could be, but it's nothing like that. If LeBron decided to, it would be nothing like that of the sort. I'm just coming to trying to win so in order for us to sign another player or I only took a fraction of this so we can sign somebody else I don't see why the league would veto that but it's the big as the leaders the other other teams let's be real much in order for my rod to win he gonna have to leave the Lakers nothing happened relax like't happening. Relax. Lakers ain't winning shit. Now, like this. He's a free agent right now, right? And he says, alright, I'm going to come back
Starting point is 01:55:11 and sign for $10 million a year. How much cap space do they open up? Right? That opens up so much cap space where they can go out there and sign whoever the fuck they want with LeBron James Mm-hmm, the other 29 owners would be like fuck that. What do they promise them? Let's check
Starting point is 01:55:30 What did they give him some land some fucking way like what the fuck? So and then to my point to my point with that would be is investigate Going to waste your money on your lawyers and all that shit cuz there's nothing illegal here I didn't I didn't but I didn't promise him nothing Go on and waste your money on your lawyers and all that shit because there's nothing illegal here. I didn't promise him nothing though. So your thing is they had to promise him something. They had to give him something on the back end in order for him to sign this deal. But what if it's none of that?
Starting point is 01:55:55 I'm going to say let you investigate. Go ahead and investigate. Go on and spend your money on your lawyer. Go ahead and do all your due diligence and there's nothing behind it. Because you would... That's what I said. I i will ask i'll ask rich paul if he's yeah if he's if they're legally allowed to yeah i want to know that how much like how much can they go steve can you look up this um the joe smith situation for me the question was he with minnesota already no no
Starting point is 01:56:18 he was i know i think he was going to say and i think he was coming from he was coming from golden state so yeah they promised him that so the question is does LeBron need to stack his team to win right now. Hell. Yeah. Hell. Yeah You don't see the mufflers out there stash up. Yeah. Yes He needs Anthony Davis and two more guys. All right, and these what he's always needed And this NBA I think he didn't stack team at 39 at 40. Hell. Yes, I think We hell yeah, I'm fucking 40. Yeah, I think like this bitch up. Yeah, he don't need some help this year a lot of The next couple years until you get done. Does the team look like kind of like the bubble team? I Mean they didn't better than that any bit. and teams and teams and swooped up like fuck
Starting point is 01:57:05 What teams and swooped up? Oklahoma City, Minnesota Boston Boston bucks Philadelphia swooped up Clippers better Sons, I got better since then Dallas. I mean people got bad. It's the bubble. It says the votes. Yeah. Yeah only Tina look the same is what Boston and they got Two new starters and some work doing these two guys made it to the conference finals last year who? LeBron ad yeah, we get all that. We're not stupid though. We need to soup up. I
Starting point is 01:57:42 Got beat two times a day smack smack all right so I need to soup up goddamn I need some new shoe these shoes ain't these shoes ain't it anymore these new dance dancing partners dancing partners and new dancing shoes want to hear it out loud that's all that's it so yeah I want to hear it out loud. That's all. That's it. I wanted to hear it out loud. I just really need some help. He was a free agent. He had been traded from Golden State to Philly the previous year. Then there was a lockout.
Starting point is 01:58:13 Coming out of the lockout, he signed that under the table deal. So he signed it before the lockout? No, coming out of it. Like when they said we're going to play. He was going back to Philly. No, he was of it. Like when they said we're going to play. So he was going back to Philly. No, he was going to Minnesota.
Starting point is 01:58:29 He was leaving Philly. McKell and them did the deal. Going to a new team in Minnesota. Yes. And he had turned down an $80 million extension previously. Then took one year for 1.75. Ah, see? And that was so he was going to pay him next year.
Starting point is 01:58:43 He was going to pay $100 under the table. The next year he was going to get the $100. They a hundred under the table next year. He was gonna get the hundred So yeah, see you ever see that I said like deals like that be fucking the air business here and Danny's like a hundred So but it wouldn't be that dope. That's what I'm know but what I'm saying you see how that big remember like, okay 80 million then you investigate seven and then 100 like there's none of but they didn't even get to the 100 Look, they got caught. Yeah, like 80 million and this. No, no, but they didn't even get to the 100 because they got caught Yeah, like 80 million and seven we hold the fuck on he's seven and then we just offered him 80 and he come to you For seven the fuck out of here. Yeah, Danny again. Yeah, then investigated but it was some but it was some dirty shit going
Starting point is 01:59:16 How the fuck do you invent what I'm saying? You investigate cool who Who's telling? Oh, somebody got caught. There's a paper trail. Because it don't kick in until the following year. What I'm saying is it's a handshake, and whatever it is, it's in safes. How are you finding out? No, they signed it.
Starting point is 01:59:37 I know they signed it. Therefore, it should have just been a handshake. But it's in your safe, and it's in my safe. So who? The lawyer. Somebody lawyer said something. Somebody got it. Somebody been pillow talked with somebody's wife, girl, mistress.
Starting point is 01:59:52 There's only two copies of this motherfucker. Yours and mine. Somebody told this girl and was like, ooh, you know what? Because Joe Smith is one of the top guys signing for Lowe. But I know that. But just like you said said investigate all you want You can only go I can they can only go to your safe in his safe To see the real paperwork. No, the paperwork is on is public. You know, it's signed a one-year
Starting point is 02:00:16 I'm talking about then how do they go under the table found the actual? The one the big because he signed it so how you find this it is my doesn't somebody pillow talking you see somebody told somebody told Carolyn and talk hold on what the last thing I mean I can hold on what year was No, it is what it is. You got the toes curling and that motherfucker put a taco. Hold on, hold on. I mean, I can, hold on. What year was this? Let me see. I can tell you what year, probably. Yeah, nah, it's... 2000. The lockout was this, 97? 99. 99 lockout. So... So it was 2000. So 80, so this is 98, 99 year, right?
Starting point is 02:01:07 Mm-hmm. Right? Right? He averaged 13 and 8 that year. In Philly? Huh? In Philly? No, in Philly he averaged 10.
Starting point is 02:01:24 But for that season, he averaged 14, so he was averaging 17 in Golden State. So he came back at 13. Now he started 42 out of 43 games. The next year in Minnesota he came off the bench there's only two contracts here I know for damn sure Joe Smith ain't pulling his out when did this investigation start when did it come out that there was something
Starting point is 02:02:00 fishy because I'm pretty sure what happened was he got there he didn't look the way they thought he was gonna look for that money and they told on themselves because there's no way this is supposed to be a dude that get all that money and then the following year he's a bench player. They had to make it look the way it looked. Oh they were trying to cover it up, they were trying to make it look good.
Starting point is 02:02:24 They already got caught. It was in Minnesota bro, I already know Oh, they were trying to cover it up. They were trying to make it look good. They already got caught. It was in Minnesota, bro. I already know the... Certain people were part of the deal. They were throwing dirt on the body. Yeah, they had meetings to facilitate all of that. Some people backed out of that situation. So you can't say no names or nothing like that.
Starting point is 02:02:39 But it's like, yo, they did what they had to do to get him because they thought he was a piece next to the piece. Like Lauren Woods was a piece next to the piece They like Lauren Woods was a piece next to the piece They thought he was gonna be one of those pieces that was gonna help them get over She's at urban John's me that's I'm saying he played he shot 40 when he got there that 42% from the field He didn't play So I'll read what happened So according to Jack and Don they then of the Los Angeles Times,
Starting point is 02:03:05 the entire plan was blown open when the agents Eric Flesher and Andrew Miller parted ways. Miller retained Smith and superstar teammate Kevin Garnett in the split, which prompted a lawsuit that led to the unearthing of many documents. Andy. Andy Miller. Including the detailing. Andy Miller fucked it up and the other dude told on him. It was an illegal agreement with Smith. So they did some discovery.
Starting point is 02:03:27 It was supposed to be a joint deal and he fucked it up. The game is the game. I know Minnesota was like, whew. No, they got penalized. You know what they did? Because in my draft class, they didn't have
Starting point is 02:03:43 that last round pick. They didn't have That lasts that last round painting they got in the EB Ended up being one of them before the year before that and then that that that draft that he couldn't get no pigs Yeah, so I was like the first first round pick that they got from that. Yeah, so too because I was 2001 so they didn't have a pick because I think it went from like Tony Parker didn't went straight to second round Yeah, they got penalized for a while. Let's keep this moving. One last thing to talk about today before we get to most of the fans.
Starting point is 02:04:16 So Clippers have a lot of issues resolved this summer, but one of the biggest ones is the uncertainty surrounding all NBA forward Kawhi Leonard's health. Kawhi's missed parts for all of the last four Clippers postseasons, playing in only four of the Clippers' last 19 playoff games dating back to 2021. This postseason, he missed four out of six games against the Mavs with knee inflammation,
Starting point is 02:04:36 turns 33 in June, played 68 games in a regular season this past year, which is the most he's played since 2017. Did the Clippers make the right move, given Kawhi through your extension? I will take the silence and deep thought. You know, what I'm saying is, it's hard for me to say no.
Starting point is 02:05:00 The reason is, it's their money, man. Right? It's... If they think that's... the reason is it's they money man right it's it's if they think that's that's they got a deal and you know there it was a right deal for them that's their wallet it's it's kind of hard to say i mean we you know we do we have our opinions but for the most most part, it's his wallet. I don't know his personal relationship with Balmer. He might not look like meat.
Starting point is 02:05:36 He might look like a fucking whole human being to him, to the point where it's like, yeah, you know. He don't look like meat. He looks like a whole human being. That's my guy. You going to answer the question, though? What? You going to answer the question that he asked you?
Starting point is 02:05:49 I did. No, you just said it wasn't in your wallet. It's not in my wallet. What was the question? So did the Clippers make the right move given Kawhi a three extension? But I'll preface with this. Moving into a new arena, you want some level of continuity. Kawhi played 68 games this year.
Starting point is 02:06:08 At the time that he got the extension was before the playoff. Injuries this postseason, but given that track record... Is this the right move? I'll say yes, because this is the Clippers. Yes, this is the right move. I mean, all NBA players, second team all NBA. I'm just saying... Shit, the best talent that they fucking ever had. The most decorated man they've ever had in that uniform. Hell yeah, sign him, goddammit. Rashad, do you think the Clippers made the right decision with the move? No. He hasn't shown to be the asset that they invested in. So they invested in a guy they thought was going to bring them a championship,
Starting point is 02:06:38 put them in the playoff contention, and at least give them some glory. And that ain't happened. They should have moved on. That's what I think. I never really been big on Kawhi though he's not a big Kawhi guy no since he was in San Antonio so I was you know I was I was just like I didn't I didn't see the hype on Kawhi he looked robotic right I didn't like I just because Spurs with their system kind of makes everyone look a little bit better than they supposed to be and then When he got traded
Starting point is 02:07:10 To Toronto I said, let me see how he really looked and they won championship And then once he won that championship, I was like, you know what? It's hard for me to say anything bad about him because he just gets it done Right. I don't know. I can't point it. I just bad about him because he just gets it done. I don't know. I can't point it. I just know, you know what? He's going to get it done. It ain't going to look pretty, but he's going to get it done.
Starting point is 02:07:32 You can't worry about how it looks. That's what I said. I got to stop worrying about how it looks. Yeah, you can't worry about how that looks. Look at the result. The house is built. I don't give a fuck how he built it. It's there.
Starting point is 02:07:40 It might not be like the last one or this one. It's done. The shit ain't falling apart. So when it comes to him, it might not be like the last one or this one is done. The shit ain't falling apart so when it comes to him is like He took his time putting this bitch together I feel like it was circumstance though. It's a lot of Circumstance with that, you know I'm saying like the circumstance with Toronto winning that championship Circumstance with him being left the team in in San Antonio and all those guys
Starting point is 02:08:13 Got older moved out. It's like oh this show team. Mm-hmm. Did he get hurt? Did he do what one full year? He didn't play in San Antonio Was like a year and a half or something like that? And I know what I think in San Antonio was was like a full year he didn't play. Then he get to Toronto. Like you said, he got it done, and he's like, man, this man. He played nine games in 2017, 2018. Nine games, right? So it's like, for me, that's the history he's shown me is that it's like, man,
Starting point is 02:08:42 I don't know, man. Like I said, I've never been big on him. He looked the same way. You know, I thought he was manufactured. He was one of those guys that had to, you know, he had to go get it out the mud. He had to go get better to show and prove that he deserved it all. And then winning in Toronto showed everyone that I can win without being in a system. But then I'm expecting the same thing in the Clippers and that didn't happen
Starting point is 02:09:06 So I would have moved on and try to get some assets try to start over Can you the Clippers make the right move financially? Yeah Because if they had waited Just made second-team all-nba so, shit. Oh, yeah, forgot about that. Yeah. Financially? Hell yeah, yeah. They made the right move. They smelled it coming? No, no, no.
Starting point is 02:09:32 They got lucky because the man made second team All-NBA. So, yeah, because this summer it would have been Supermax. You got a Supermax con. It's Supermax. He made second team All-NBA. I know. He's sitting there like, bitch. God damn it, man.
Starting point is 02:09:47 He was hurt when he signed it, though. No, he was healthy. He was healthy when he signed it this year. Yeah, so they probably during the season. During the season. During this season. So they probably seen it right on the wall like, oh, shit, he about to. Yeah, if he hit the 65.
Starting point is 02:10:00 Looking this way. If he hit the 65. He probably was approaching them 65 games and they was like, shit, how much is it going to cost us over this? Shit, that's another 70 million. So he signed the extension January 10th. That's another 70. You think he was expecting to finish the season out? I don't know, but he did.
Starting point is 02:10:21 I don't know. The only person who's probably mad right now is probably kawaii yeah yeah that's what i'm saying like wouldn't you bet on yourself knowing that you do now my history now my history is what i'm knowing 2017 is last time i played yeah so i think i mean it worked well for this even his recent postseason history works well for both sides because you wait to the summer you're the clippers and you see how this post season played out would you now sign that that super yeah that's the thing so no no man don't matter if you superman super this is what I suppose to be get yes but I don't know if you say all right bad bad what's the name I'm still
Starting point is 02:10:55 gonna get 40 or something million more than what you gave me but do you but do you sign them at that point yeah yeah and this summer knowing how this season played up versus back in January you. You know, I don't want We talking about prices You talking about price if the price of the bridges go, I'm gonna cost you to resign them Yes, you know they cut listen there's a lot of teams where they make bad investments This seemed like a better one because he ended up making a team But you know me nothing really if you've already signed he already made second team you don't mean nothing
Starting point is 02:11:32 right now no what I'm saying is if they would have waited the supermax and then they still want him as a player because even if you sign and trade him you sign trade him as a supermax player you got to you ain't gonna get more pieces don't we still use some and get way more money stupid and nobody bring it Listen unless and let me come on you bring it up. Let's see the championship piece Like yes, we we know we finna be right here win the championship with him I know why up if quiet up for good for the grab it for somebody to change this for they don't they gonna They go. No, you know this look like I would a super max attached to it Because look what you look at
Starting point is 02:12:05 Okay, think about my interest I think about Miami This ain't just this ain't Jimmy Butler for him. No, see you fucking Jimmy Butler. You got Tyler He wrote a man in Miami and in the conversation. They can't be in the conversation No, but that's that's how many pieces got to go with him for sure with the super max deal So you're thinking about anybody else's contract you're blowing your team you're blowing your team up saying you got that's what i'm saying you're gonna have to consider blowing your team up to have this conversation yes but you literally think about rebuilding around this guy no but i'm saying that's so they're they're better off that they signed him early because no matter what he was a super max so even if you're going to super
Starting point is 02:12:44 max and trade him, you're fucked. For sure. For them, it's a win-win because they don't have to put him on the market, but I wouldn't have done that. I wouldn't have given him the bread because of the investment.
Starting point is 02:13:00 So what are you doing this summer then? I'm literally getting rid of him early. But you had two guys. investment does so what are you doing this summer then I'm literally getting real I'm getting rid of him early but you had two guys but what I'm saying what do you where you got to sign them to a supermax now see you didn't sign them then so that means this summer right now you if you're gonna trade him you have my size so you have to sign them to a supermax first and in that chance taking that chance to try to to get see who won't who won't him
Starting point is 02:13:28 Who won't him? Who won't him for super Mac? That's what I'm saying. Nobody remains a mega trades No, I was a trace as a wind down before history. So I'm like a coming off at this juncture and Nobody making no trade now for no supermax contract not for no all NBA's taking team player you got yeah you know
Starting point is 02:13:47 that's what I'm saying y'all signing up for that you're not if it's Anthony Edwards or Luka or one of these young stars and there's a supermax attached to it
Starting point is 02:13:55 you got a team doing it a Jason Tatum right a team doing that right now no team is doing that for a while right now not with a supermax
Starting point is 02:14:03 contract attached to it like let's say I hear you Lamello no, don't even make that much. I mean Remember that's what said those guys. So if if mouse bridges Got big money and they but combine that contract between him and mello You're talking about him and him a mellow ball for that. I don't even know why him lamello and probably somebody else I don't see Charlotte breaking up there like this. So you can really everything for Kawhi At this just to say we're just this job just to throw it out there
Starting point is 02:14:34 I'm fishing it is for this what I'm saying you're fishing That's what they said you end up fishing because that's what I'm saying You had because you didn't sign them earlier and you got a super maximum now You got to throw out your fucking fishing rod because I got two other assets I got well I say I got one other asset and that super max
Starting point is 02:14:50 fucks up your I got PG and I got James still no because PG is a free agent he is but we still having conversations we're still having conversations
Starting point is 02:14:59 damn that's damn they they fuck Clippers got saved yeah because they would have been it would have been that's what I'm saying you got super max That's dangerous. They, Clippers got saved. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:15:07 Because they would have been, it would have been, that's what I'm saying. You got Supermax and you got Paul George. Now you got so much money because you didn't have to pay it to. I've been saying break the team up anyway. So Paul going. They don't have to now. I know. Because they kept him.
Starting point is 02:15:19 No, they don't have to because they got him for cheap. They got him for cheap. They got him for cheap. So they got to get James money. They ain't going to get him. He not getting no money. They got to give James money. Because they got money to give. They got it for cheap. So they got to get James money. They ain't going to get him. He not getting no money. They got to give James money because they got money to give. Not here in the room, man. They got money to give.
Starting point is 02:15:32 They not going to give it to him is what I'm saying. Is he up to? Yeah. No. Yeah. Is he? James is up to. James is up to.
Starting point is 02:15:41 Oh, they good. They got money. Yeah. They going to give him the money. They got money. They robbed Kawhi. Yeah. They got money to give him. We asked the chat, Kawhi's three-year extension was the right move, wrong move. 66% said the wrong move.
Starting point is 02:15:52 So we talked about Jay. Let's talk about PG real quick. He will likely opt out of the final year of his deal, become a free agent. But according to Shams, there is a strong belief PG will stay in L.A. Would it be a mistake for Paul George to stay with the Clippers? Oh, he can stay in L.A be a mistake for Paul George to stay with the Clippers oh you can stay in LA they were team it was they had a number for how much he gets a good 57 I think he could get what is this a good 215 if he goes somewhere else 215 215 you know somewhere else 157 if he stays Paul over the Lakers is a good fit no yeah but how's he worth more going somewhere else, 157 if he stays. Paul over the Lakers is a good fit. No, no, yeah. But how's he worth more going somewhere else?
Starting point is 02:16:26 But would it be the 157 in addition to this? Yeah. If they just signed an extension with this year, then add 157 on top of it? Yeah, so he would basically make less. No, 157 plus. The 51 he could opt into. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:16:40 If he signs an extension, that's why he has to opt out of his deal. He could opt out of his deal. So he has to opt out. So he opts has to opt out of his deal. So he has to opt out. So he opts out. This is the same thing with LeBron. He has to opt out of his deal to start it over. You think staying with the Clippers is a good or bad idea, Kenya, for Paul George?
Starting point is 02:16:55 Bad idea. And why do you think it's a bad idea? You said it. This experiment has been going on for six years now. With two older guys, it's not going to work. It's mine. been going on for six years now with two older guys it's not gonna work it's my just it's been Paula Kauai's has been six years now what are we what do we have to show for like they came here together they made the decision one wanted the one to come here the guy was in Oklahoma City mind his fucking
Starting point is 02:17:22 business mm-hmm like God but you can leave okay see to come here. The guy was in Oklahoma City. Mine is fucking business. Like, God. But you can leave OKC to come to L.A. I think a lot of people. But I'm just, but shit. And it ain't work. That's all I'm saying. And that ass here, you're home, OK, cool. You're from Los Angeles, OK, cool.
Starting point is 02:17:37 But on the floor, it hasn't worked for whatever reason. Whether it's injury, whether it's timing, whether it's, it just hasn't worked. If I'm Paul, I'm looking for I stay in LA but I'm looking for a different situation if I'm Paul George I think having Anthony Davis is a better fit for Paul the way he plays mmm pass first guy we got the same guy that's playing the point older guys pass first guy LeBron got the same guy that's playing the point Older guys pass first guy LeBron go give him the ball again defer Paul Paul can go out there bitch never 26
Starting point is 02:18:15 Anthony Davis an average 27 28 and CP Paul George LeBron James ad. Oh, no, I'm you cp3. No, no, I'm leaving where he is on him with LA to summer. No, we're not It's wrong 50 him in LeBron. Can't do this. Hey, they can't play this. It's like no no, that's the wrong That's like James. It's the same thing as James Harden and Chris Paul. It's the same thing He's you were having with CP over there like yeah, it's the same thing though. It's the same thing as James and James And CP is the same thing as CP and Brian It would have been easier over there would go to state because they don't need the ball to function. No way. So what's the difference?
Starting point is 02:18:48 What is D'Lo doing? Probing and shooting. Get the fuck out of here. I don't need 24 seconds. But you know what I'm saying though? Hey, CP can get off that motherfucker. Now what's the difference though with him and Bron? What's the difference between when James and CP played together?
Starting point is 02:19:03 Dynamic, unbelievable one-on-one score that needs the ball to do all that shit. LeBron is not that guy. He can get off of it. He can facilitate. I don't need it. Well, who are... So you... He's had to.
Starting point is 02:19:13 Because he hasn't had a CP to do that shit. Huh? If LeBron has a CP... Just like Kobe even had a CP just like... You give LeBron the ball early in fast break situations, right? Like he loves to do. Nothing can stop you from doing that. But half-court basketball, LeBron dominating the ball has never been the thing that's worked.
Starting point is 02:19:33 Kyrie's had the ball half-court. That's what made it work because Kyrie had the ball in half-court and he could facilitate two-quarter. He needs somebody just to regulate. And if you got PG out there, he ain't got to have the... You said it. Kyrie, a score. I don't need someone trying to be a passer if I'm a passer. But you got PG out there.
Starting point is 02:19:57 It's a score. Right? So you using CP to set these guys up. That's just like when Steve Nash came here. It was dumb because Kobe's never played with a pure point guard only pure point guard he ever played with you can consider was Gary Payton and you see how hard that was to play with it wasn't playing in the triangle it didn't matter it did matter Gary Payton trying to do his thing Kobe like give me fucking ball
Starting point is 02:20:18 Kobe only fucking ball we only knew to try anything with Jordan give me the fucking ball only knew I don't need you to see you and trying to put you just brick oh bring it over here. Triangle make you get off the ball. No, just basketball. Like, whatever you're great at, I don't care. Give me the ball. You can sit here and do the pick and roll.
Starting point is 02:20:36 The point I'm making is they, Bron ball dominant, CP ball dominant, James Harden ball dominant, they don't work together on the same floor. You need people who can shoot. You CP ball dominant, James Harden ball dominant. They don't work together on the same floor. You need people who can shoot. You're ball dominant, need your straight shooter or rim runners. How has it worked for LeBron? Four rings.
Starting point is 02:20:55 Without a ball facilitator. Four rings. In the last five years. One ring. One ring. And he had Rayjean Rondo, nigga. Coming off the bench. Ray Ray John Rondo nigga come off the bench John Rondo coming off the bench CP that's coming off the baby that look again the Caruso started don't matter what do you
Starting point is 02:21:15 do yeah Rondo out there facilitating that shit coming off the so say John Rondo ran that motherfucker shit CP give him that same feel, I'm telling you. Bring C.P. in, get P.G., you niggas got a chance. Okay. They best friends, right? There's a reason they never play together. No, what's the reason? C.P. been going to other teams.
Starting point is 02:21:43 And LeBron been going to other teams. I mean, four different teams. Can't go to Cleveland. Who was in Cleveland? Can't be CP and Kyrie. Even though he brought D Rose and Isaiah Thomas and all the other niggas. Yeah. Yeah, they all gonna move around too.
Starting point is 02:21:58 When he came to LA, he could have had CP, right? Nope. OK. He couldn't. Well, on that note let's move on to Mostly Fans presented by Underdog Fantasy. Starting point is 02:22:28 It's going to be less. Okay, we got four more games in the Western Conference final. We got one more. Got to be ready for the NBA, right? Four more? Four more. Let's go, Wolves. It's over, brother. They're going to get smacked tonight.
Starting point is 02:22:41 They're going to lose by a dub. You think they're losing by a dub? They're going to lose by a dub. You've been right. Can you please? Come on. We need more games. They're going to lose by a dub. You think they're losing by a dub? They're going to lose by a dub. You've been right, so can you please? Come on. We need more games. They're going to lose by a dub. We're trying to stay important.
Starting point is 02:22:50 15 to 20 point Mavericks win tonight. Nah, Anthony Ambrose ain't going out like that. 15 to 20 point Dallas Mavericks win tonight. Definitely going to get a win. Okay. This shit over. Who the ref? Do we know who's the fish Eddie they gotta
Starting point is 02:23:08 send out all the Tim Donahue Scott five they got a heavy hitters keep your foot to my daddy you're your tour I guess we got a different ref the second quarter? This motherfucker ain't doing his job. Lucas still in the game. Fucking hockey subs. The referee for tonight, Scott Foster, Bill Kennedy, Ed Malloy. Ed? No. Special Ed.
Starting point is 02:23:40 Oh, Dallas probably about to get beat by like 30, dawg. I'm trying to watch. Scott Ponder. You know Scott? You said Scott and Ed? I'm telling you, man. Special Ed. Oh, no. Boys bottom.
Starting point is 02:23:50 Those are extenders. Those are extenders. It's going to. Those are ref extenders. Those are the ones that extend. They ain't got shit to do with that. More content. More content.
Starting point is 02:24:00 Luka going to be in fight. Luka. You know how this is. Somebody going down. Somebody going. Five. Five. Somebody going down. Sit down, Luka. For sure gonna be in 5. You know how that is. Somebody going down. Somebody going down. Somebody going down. Down, Luka. Somebody.
Starting point is 02:24:10 It might not be them two. It's gonna be enough. I think they're still gonna lose by 15-20. Well, speaking of this matchup, our first MostlyFans question. One of our favorite Underdog Fandix users, BMAC32.
Starting point is 02:24:31 Gil, when Dallas and Luka win this championship right here, will you admit that Brandon and Rashad was right about them Euros running the league? Gil, if Luka wins his first chip, will you admit that Brandon and Rashad right about euros running the league do we know what math is we all do math right hmm I just for some better than others there's 450 players right there's 450 NBA players there's four euros that are good more than four five do you know we had this conversation you take Luca out as the point guard can they name another point guard that is decent from Europe because Europeans are taking over so that was international when
Starting point is 02:25:19 you're saying your role should be taken over? It should be at least half, right? No, it should be at least half. You can't say two. Just two. Two out of four. So two out of 450, that means they're taking over. I'm going to say four. Out of 450. Out of 450. Damn. Four. Yeah. Because one of the euros, they say, nigga!
Starting point is 02:25:46 After every shot. One of the euros is going back to this slave thing. Nigga! So four euros. If you're doing math like that, I got a beach property. I want to sell you in Manhattan. Manhattan Beach or Manhattan? I think math is that. Is it stat man, stat man?
Starting point is 02:26:04 Is that what math is? I mean, at the end of the day, if four or five year olds, all of them 6'10 and above, if that is considered taking over the league, and those are the only four that are actually good, if we say name me two point guards that are good. Why does it have to be point guards? They won't. Name me three shooting guards that are now or the future, they won't be able to, right? It's bigs.
Starting point is 02:26:37 So we at least can say the bigs. So we can say that. The bigs. So for your sake of argument, we can't say a point guard, a shooting guard, a for your sake of argument We can't say a point guard a shooting guard a small forward, but we can't no we can't we can't say a point guard We can't say one Luca and then we can say Power forward and sinners we can save them one power forward and the rest of sinners. Okay, so that's three positions And we can say at least one of those guys in three positions are dominating the league. But you're saying Euros is taking over.
Starting point is 02:27:09 It means you need more than one. We don't need more. You need more. You need more to consider that. He says, can we say if Luka wins at the Euro, yeah, because Joker's two-time MVP, Giannis' two-time MVP, Giannis and Joker are both champions, and if Luka wins, boom, here comes Luka, champion again. So now in the last how many years, these Euros have been winning, MVPs and championships.
Starting point is 02:27:32 It's fair to say when Steve Nash won the two MVPs, they're like, man, hey, hey. The people say Canadian is taking over. No, they said white boys, white boys. No one calls it Canadian. Hey, hey. That white boy out here killing them. That. Thank you. You said that. Not them. Because there was only one. Canadian white boy. That white boy out here killing them. That. You said that.
Starting point is 02:27:46 Not them. Because there was only one. That white boy. It's a bad white boy. There's only one. There's only one. There's only one point guard. You're talking about point guards.
Starting point is 02:27:54 We're talking about Euro. We're talking about point guards. It's easier to say the Euro bigs is taking over. Because out of all the bigs, there's more Euro bigs that are great versus everybody else. When you go down to Euro bigs now that is dominating and the future of Euro bigs with Sangoon
Starting point is 02:28:14 and Winby and Markington and fucking Sabonis. You can say in the next 10 years, Euro bigs will be dominating. You say, Euro bigs will be dominating, right? You say power four bigs. After Giannis, who's second?
Starting point is 02:28:33 You reach it, man. Who's second? Just answer the question. Who's second after Giannis? So when Giannis retire, who is the power four Euros taking over? Okay. How about the three men? Any of them dominant now? Or dominant moving forward?
Starting point is 02:28:50 Shooting guards dominating now? So it's easier to just say the five men are taking over. The Euro fives are taking over the league. Can we just say Euros? We're just going to say Euros. Euros. Euros are taking over. You don't have to say positions or shooting. Can we just say Euros? We're just going to say Euros. Euros.
Starting point is 02:29:05 Euros are taking over. Yeah. You don't have to say positions or shooting or something. These four or five guys are dominating the league. Can I just say I enjoy the fact that you guys call every international player a Euro? Yes. Because if you're not going to say SGA is a Euro, because he's not. Because it would not help's not. It wouldn't
Starting point is 02:29:25 help the argument. Because he's not American. Can we say non-American? He could be deported. We change the word to non-American. Then he'd be in the conversation. But if we say Euro, so it can't. For the sake of them trying to
Starting point is 02:29:41 scramble for the conversation, we're going to say these four guys have been dominating the league and they're European. These four European guys dominate the league. So. If Luka wins, it's fair to say that these four guys have been dominating the league in the last six years. Thank you. These four guys. Then shut the league in the last six years. Thank you These four guys then shut the fuck up there in your roles your own or guys I know you say your roads you adding the rest. Oh
Starting point is 02:30:12 Are there even these four guys these four guys just say that that it sounds better So these four Europeans are are the that is one guy narrow it down to who they are Are they your ease for are they European? What's I forgot the wind being there when being he's coming are they yours and goon is coming where they from They're from Europe, right? Those fair to say these four guys. Yes, you're right So I can agree with you these four guys are dominating the NBA and they happen to be euros So these four Europeans so his question is is the fair to say that me and Brandon are right? About the Europeans.
Starting point is 02:30:47 About the Euros. These four. Yes. I agree. That's what we were referencing. No, that's the only one. No, no, no. We wasn't referencing all Europeans. No, no, y'all.
Starting point is 02:30:57 All y'all said the Euros is taking over the league. All y'all did the same thing. And then when I started pointing out, well, there's only fucking four. The same four that makes the All-Star game. Same four. No, those are the only one you named. That's the only ones we were talking about. We weren't talking about anybody else.
Starting point is 02:31:12 You're stepping back. You even tried to do a draft and say you're going to bring these. We were talking about USA versus Europeans. That's a different conversation. Then you got stuck on that. So now you want to stick to the name, the same four. It's four. We get it.
Starting point is 02:31:24 Yes, those four are brilliant. Golly, boy. You are something. Those four are brilliant basketball players. What a way. Those four is taking over. What a way to end another glorious episode of Gil's Arena presented by Underdog Fantasy. Whoa, whoa.
