Gil's Arena - Gil's Arena GOES WILD After NBA Tip Off
Episode Date: October 22, 2025Gil's Arena GOES WILD After NBA Tip Off as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew return to the Arena and react to a show stopping night of NBA action featuring the potential game of the year as Kevin ...Durant fell to Shai Gilgeous Alexander & The Oklahoma City Thunder in his first game for the Houston Rockets and Steph Curry spoiled Luka Doncic's first season opener with the Los Angeles Lakers, proving the Lake Show may need LeBron James if they want to compete with the top of the NBA. They kick things off with the insane game between the Rockets & Thunder that ended in controversy and give their biggest takeaways from the show stopping action in the league's first game. They debate if SGA deserves more credit for his ability to bait even the greatest players in league history into committing fouls and discuss the Thunder's likelihood to repeat as NBA Champions before analyzing Kevin Durant's first game with the Rockets and breaking down if the team will run through him or Alpren Sengun as they operate without a traditional point guard. Next, they react to KD signing a new deal where the future NBA Hall of Famer took a $30M pay cut to remain with the Rockets for at least 2 more season and break down how his place atop the highest career earners in NBA History will shape the future of the league. They then give their first impressions of the LeBron-less Los Angeles Lakers as Luka Doncic fell to Steph Curry & The Golden State Warriors in his first season opener for the Lakers and debate if the team is already missing the King before battling over if people are already sleeping on Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and the Warriors dynasty. Finally, they react to the return of NBA on NBC featuring Michael Jordan and debate if the NBA's shift in media will be the final step to them taking over the sports world as America's #1 most watched sport. Welcome back to Gilles Arena, presenting my underdog.
Whoa, whoa!
NBA is back!
Oh, man.
For some.
Some team struggling a little bit.
How are everybody feeling?
I'm feeling good.
I see you with the Euro-Lucca Dantric Church.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Not to be confused with the Lakers, Luca Dantric Jersey.
Yeah, where that jersey?
yesterday.
I sweated that out.
The Luca era started, left much to be desired.
Everybody on this side.
Good, good.
Bucks to tip things off tonight.
Some good games last night.
Man.
Some good bump, as they said.
Houston and OKC games really good.
The other one?
Not as much.
But this is Gills Arena presented by Underdog.
Woo-Woo.
I'm merely a host, Josiah Johnson.
And as always, we've got the legend Gilbert Arena is here with us.
Next to Gil, we got NBA champion of the world.
Swaggy P, Nick Young.
On this side of the couch, we got the distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff, former number one pick, Kenya Martin.
Oh, what's happened to that?
Okay, just making sure.
Just making sure.
And represent Tough Crowd, Tough Crowd University.
We got Mr. B. Brandon Jennings.
You see an MVP this year.
Who is that?
The MVP this year.
That's Luca?
I mean, it's all, I mean, it is all Euro battle at this point.
The takeover has committed.
Nah.
We got an American there?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
We're claiming Shay, because they had it.
North American.
They had the USA.
Okay, I got a North America.
We claiming Shea now.
We're claiming Shea.
Shea won't even be playing for the USA for the Olympics.
It don't matter.
He's a North American.
He's close enough to say, you know what?
I mean, he trained here since middle school.
For sure.
His game came from America, just like Steve Nash.
Okay.
The game came from America.
They've been here since little kids.
So when it's time to play for your country.
All right, we don't need them.
Well, okay.
No, no, no, no.
So, I mean, we just didn't.
No, what I'm saying is.
That's why he played for Canada back then.
No, what I'm saying is, I'm trying to say this.
And the American won the MVP last year.
We need to push that narrative.
Yeah, for sure.
And North American.
It counts.
What is this?
He's a North American.
We are one.
South Carolina.
Right?
You see how it works?
Yep.
East L.A.
Right?
There's still L.A.
So we got a lot to get into.
Here's what's cracking in Gil's Arena today.
Katie and the Rockets tried to spoil Ring Night and O KC, but the reigning MVP put the team on his back to get the win.
Do the Thunder have what it takes to repeat?
Steph and the Warriors handed the Lakers and Luca and L.
an L and Lucas' first season opener,
how much is the Purple and Gogol and Miss LeBron
during this early stretch of the season?
And this is the first year of the NBA's new TV rights deal,
but with the shift to streaming,
will fans pay the cost to make the NBA the boss?
But before we get into all that, as always,
this show is brought to you by Underdog.

So before we talk, NBA opening night, we got to discuss an unfortunate situation that went down earlier this week.
So on Monday, our very own Gilbert arenas, did a stream with neon, took part in the game.
of one-on-one where this happened.
And I'm not worried about it.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's crazy.
Oh, man.
Ugh.
No, not yet.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That leg drag.
What you?
Practice of nothing.
His leg, right?
Rick.
Rick.
And I got a...
Ben.
Oh.
Bro.
Come on!
I'm not going on.
Oh, shit.
Come on!
Now it's going to be old school basketball.
I'm picking up a full club.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Get them tired.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
I don't know anything to suck, Gil.
That's some shameful shit right there, man.
Me.
We're going to need you to explain yourself.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Why did you let Neon cook you like that?
You disrespected.
You disrespected the arena's name, Gilles Arena, the city of Los Angeles.
The city?
First of all.
The Valley.
The San Fernando Valley.
First of all.
seen the shots he made.
Buckets.
Buckets.
I see those buckets.
I know those buckets.
It went in, but you didn't think it was going there.
I didn't.
I mean, that last shot, I didn't even think he can get his arm up that eye.
Like, I would just be honest with you.
Like, I didn't think he can, like, physically get the ball over.
It's NBA 3s.
I didn't think he can get it up there.
He's surprised.
He busted your ass.
No, but, I mean, I did what I...
Y'all seen that joint interview?
He says something very good at that.
I see it.
I've seen that.
He said when he had to shoot this free throw, it made him really nervous because these kids only remember what he did 35 years ago because of what their parents been telling him.
So he had to make the shot.
Right.
He had to swish it, Gil.
Yeah, to swish it.
It was the same thing here.
These kids know me for being ageing zero.
He had my video game.
So I had to finish it off just like what he imagined.
What?
Let him go up nine, two.
I take it from here, chat.
No, I didn't see you win.
We didn't see any over the room.
That was game. That was game that long three was game.
Yeah, he was, he was, that's a, that's a narrative I was trying to push with that video.
I know what you was pushing, but again, that's the narrative.
That's a video game right there?
I, I, I, I, I finished it off for him.
Buzz the Beater, turn around, when to sit down.
Mm, mm, mm, mm, I said.
Nobody's seen that.
I know, nobody's.
They don't need to, he did.
No, no, no, no.
Him and his stream, 23,000 in there.
No, no, no, no.
You didn't get it on camera?
Man, I let young fella do his thing, man.
Long as him and his fan, they know.
Oh, you cut that part.
Agent Zero.
Oh, they cut that part.
And I don't care how you cut it.
That's all about it to be.
Do what you need to do to get the views.
Kenyon, as our resident defensive expert,
how would you grade Gil's defensive performance against Neon?
You seen that leg here?
Same way, you would have just looked at it.
You would have just looked at it.
Ah.
They did the Michael Jackson, that one leg steak still, the other one was moving.
No.
Like this.
You said, damn, the other leg can't be in them.
No, serious, no.
I actually felt good, though.
I felt good.
I felt good.
My whole side wasn't moving.
You felt good, though.
I didn't go to lie.
But I did.
I finished them off right.
You want to?
Slow now.
I'm just making sure.
I'm just making sure.
I didn't know, man, I ain't know he was going to get that, he had nine.
You know, like, all the kids were going to 11, all the kids, you finished him off.
You finished him off.
Yeah.
I told him, hey, y'all, y'all came here for a reason.
Finish him off right.
Then you need me to sign that autograph for you.
But shout out to Neon, Gil pulling up to the stream, and to the young kids for supporting Gil.
You want me to play your team Thursday?
No, not after that.
I'm cool.
I don't want.
You can coach you if you won't.
No, no, no.
First of all, I'm not going to play them defense.
Whatever, whoever I'm guards, that's going to happen.
No, what I'm sitting, for this, for the flame, for this part.
I still got this part.
I think about it.
I think about it.
You need another shooter?
No, no, I need somebody to be in the corner.
I need to treat you like how you used to treat me.
Yeah, that's cool.
You can come.
I'll put you in the corner.
I don't got no problem for that.
The only problem is I'm going to stay there.
Office and defense.
I'm cherry picking without moving.
The life of a corner boy.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
Now let's get to some real basketball.
So the defending champion Thunder and Rockets tipped off NBA season on Tuesday night.
As the NBA on NBC made its return to the league after more than two decades,
OKC and reigning MVP, Shea Gildes Alexander, taking on Kevin Durant in his rocket's debut back in his old stomping grounds.
The Rockets rolled out the tallest starting lineup in NBA history for an opening night with an average height of more than 6 feet 10.
While the Thunder were without all-NBA wing, Jalen Williams,
as they received their rings and unveiled their 2025 championship banner, the game did not disappoint.
It was not without some controversy as the rocket gets tricked off the fourth quarter lead,
and SGA hit a huge bucket in the final moments of regulation to send it to overtime.
So we pick up the action late in the second overtime after a case in Wallace three, gave the Thunder a one-point lead.
Let's take a look at some of the highlights.
So, yeah, the Little Men Remainty, KD drove to the cup, got the bucket in the foul,
put the rockets up to.
He finished with 29, 23 and 9 boards, but only have five points in the fourth quarter and overtimes combined.
SGA responded with the snatchback jumper on the Thunder's next possession to tie things up.
A moment's later.
The Rockets down one.
Shangoon caught on the wing, drove in for the bucket with 11 seconds ago, doing his thing.
And with the game on the line, it was the past versus the present.
SGA versus KD.
SGA baited KD into the foul.
KD6 foul, fouled out the game.
The MVP proceeded to hit two free throws to give his squad the one-point lead.
the Rockets did have a chance to get the win with 2.3 seconds remaining.
But Jabari Smith, jumper, ooh, no good.
So, Thunder pick right back off where they left off last season.
SJ was limited to five points in the first half,
but scored 24 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter and overtime pairs to get the Thunder the win.
Chad Homer and also had a big night, 28.7 boards.
A.J. Mitchell came through with 16 points off the bench.
Six-time and opening night game went to double overtime first since 2005.
So the return of NBA on NBC, the pompous circumstance, NBA on NBC was a little bit shaky.
They're a pregame show, but that first game of the night definitely delivered.
How special was it to have a game of this magnitude on opening night to relaunch the NBA on NBC?
Talking the first game, we're not talking about the night gap.
I mean, I think we're just happy that NBA is back.
I mean, I don't think we care what platform is on.
You know, maybe it'd have been on Telemundo, we was watching.
We were watching on Telemundo, me, Amiga.
It's Katie versus Shane.
Like, we were watching, like, NBA's back.
I mean, I know NBC has it.
Man, you know, obviously, you know, it's learning experience for them
that this is not 1990, right?
You got to get with the times, but, you know, they tried,
and, you know, they're going to keep trying.
But it was amazing.
I mean, for opening night to go to double overtime.
Both teams had a chance to seal it.
Both teams made mistakes.
If you're going in a locker room, if you're Houston, you're saying,
dang, we could have did this better, right?
Like, these are the little details that could have won a game.
Oki is saying the same thing.
If they were the loss, you know, the game was that good
where, you know, miss free throws count,
bad box out, bad, you know, foul.
Like, you know, these guys were playing at that type of level on game one.
That's a great way to start the NBA season.
Katie had a chance to put the Rockets up three
near the end of regulation, missed that free throw,
made a two-point game.
SJ obviously came down, hit the bucket
to tie things up in Mr. B, the nostalgia,
the pageantry, NBA on NBC back,
had this game to kick it off?
I mean, okay, see, they got kind of lucky, man.
You know, if Chet and Wallace don't come out and play
in the way Chet was playing earlier,
because they didn't really play good in the first half at all.
You know, towards the fourth quarter, of course,
SGA became itself again.
But, you know, Thompson, he filed out.
But, I mean, Houston, they had it.
I mean, I feel like if Houston, you know,
if Katie don't file out, Thompson, don't get hurt.
You know, I think, you know, Houston, they go in there.
They upset them, first game.
Okay, you're watching that game.
Obviously, you played a lot of games back in the day,
NBA on NBC, the nostalgia.
What was it like for you just to see?
The return with a game of that magnitude
with the Thunder and Rock is going to double overtime.
I don't care what channel it's on, bro.
Like, basketball, man.
Let it be no.
Like, yeah, I don't, I don't, I don't do nothing for me.
Like, I don't, it was a really good game.
Like, it don't care what, like Gil said,
I don't care what platform you put it on.
Open day, first game of the season,
guys get their rings,
go to double overtime, get some good bump day one.
test guys endurance day one
I know dudes in cold tubs and all that today
you're not expecting day one to go to double overtime
your lungs ain't ready for that
your body ain't ready for that so
but no it was a good game
but the platform that is on
I could care less
well Jeff you guys all played obviously several years
in the NBA so Swaggy
what's that NBA opening night feeling for you
What's that experience, like getting back on the court, getting back into action after a long off season?
For me, I was a little nervous for O.C., because I remember Ring Night with us, it was like, it was a little overwhelming, like emotional, getting your rings and stuff.
He wasn't really, it takes the focus off the game a little bit when you get your rings and all that.
Everybody's showing off waving to, you know, clapping hands and showing their moms and parents in the crowd and stuff.
Some stuff people don't experience.
It's like the little things when you get your rings.
So, but then you have to snap back into game mode, like, you got to snap back into getting buckets.
A lot of people lose on game, on ring night.
Yeah.
We did.
We lost to Houston.
I remember that.
But, yeah.
So even after that championship experience, coming back in that game, just emotional.
Yeah, yeah.
That's how I look at the first half.
That's how I look at the first half for.
Yeah, for sure.
So that's why I was, when I was betting, I was, that was in the back of my mind.
But overall, it was a great game.
I don't really pay attention to what channel was on.
I don't answer your question.
Oh, getting ready for game night?
I'm just being back on the court.
As an NBA champion, Swaggy, that experience you have,
your own bobblehead.
Yeah, you know.
With a trophy.
But you get excited, man.
You probably don't get your game day nap on.
It's the first game.
You want to have a great game, of course.
But that
I'm not going to let you
disturb my mental
because you ain't did what I did
Go ahead tell your game night
I'm just saying the same thing you said
I'm going to just make it up
I'm going to just make it up
Hey y'all after we won the championship game night
You was on the couch with me
On opening night
Huh
No
You were sitting with me on opening night.
Brother, you wasn't in the NBA, brother.
Your ass was on your couch, raising your kids.
Are you crazy?
Are you crazy?
The year after you won the championship.
No, no, no.
You were talking about when you win the championship
and come back the next year, you wasn't there.
You don't know what the fans was doing.
Your ass was tuned in like he was last night.
We were sitting there watching together
Like a bar.
Man, this cold-ass game.
It's a card-ass ring ceremony, dog.
A cold-ass ringed everybody, man.
You had to pick yours up when you was with Denver.
What?
Swatman.
He still has the tag in the sweatpants.
All I'm saying is.
No, I get that.
No, I'm just saying.
No, I'm talking about the experience of after you won.
But you get...
You were there for a ring night, though.
He must go.
Oh, you got invited.
Oh.
He was on the team for a ring night.
Yeah, you didn't, yo, you got invited.
I don't like where this...
I'm just saying, so what is it?
Did these put you on the front row?
My reeds make you feel like that.
No, I said that story.
Your story made me feel like this.
I don't win.
I never won.
I had to check.
I was like, wait a minute.
That nick was with me.
Because he was like, he made, they call it me up to go get my ring.
I was like, man, now you got to show it for real.
He was like, oh, man, that shit called.
I don't want to be there by myself, man.
Everybody else playing in the game, man.
And I'm going to be in the stand.
I'm like,
I don't even worry about that bit.
They're going to give you a standing ovation.
Nick, y'all.
Everybody's looking over there.
He got coming down from the western name.
Like at the drag.
Like in there.
Right here.
He's going to do it.
Damn.
Let me walk up.
You got to go clap all you.
You had your clothes on, man.
You had your most wanted.
Hey, man.
All I'm saying is.
That story you gave.
It was nice, but it wasn't yours.
Swaggy was there for a ring like that.
You know when you was on the show with the porn stars, I was there when you was talking about
it.
No.
I was right there.
Okay.
God damn.
I saw this fool brain just, I'm just saying, he pulled the phone now.
Yeah, I'm like, thinking about it, but when he went to this, when he pulled that goddamn
phone and he started out, I said, oh, shit.
No, because I had to remember, we had the conversation about it's going on there.
We had to prepare better.
We had to do this.
I'm like, but hold on for the thing.
That ain't the question that Josiah asked him, though.
He just answered what the fuck.
He was just with your old fucking story.
Yeah, say, if you were to answer the story, listen,
if you were to answer the question that he asked you,
all that would have been avoided.
What's the experience like for an NBA opening night?
I didn't say, the championship experience.
Open the night, not the championship experience.
That's going on off of what they went off last night.
That ain't what they asked you.
I get it.
Everybody ain't won on the couch and they don't understand.
I get it.
But if you were to answer the question.
A normal regular game night for y'all,
I get it as different than a game night for me because I'm a champ.
I get it.
I get it.
Nobody understand.
Championship pedigree.
Nobody understands what I go through as a champ.
So let's get it.
Let's get back to the game that happened last night.
I did have a controversial moment near the end of the first overtime.
with the score tied.
Let's take a look at this play.
Oh, shit, man.
So game title 115, Katie,
secures the rebound.
Appears to call it timeout, can you?
Appeared.
They didn't call it playing.
Play was unreviewable.
We do have this angle of it, though.
He looked to call it timeout.
I think Jabari Smith looked to call a timeout, too.
Obviously, the Thunder were up in arms.
Oh, he definitely Chris Webber.
That thing was.
Play wasn't reviewable after the game.
The Thunder, head coach Mark Dagnall, and SGA,
both called Cap on crew chief Zach Zarbis saying none of the refs saw KD try to call that timeout.
But they looked in the way.
No, he didn't.
No, he didn't see nothing.
But even if he tries to call it, I mean, they can review it.
None of them see it in real time.
It's the play not review.
They can't review that.
But even if they did review it, if they didn't see it in real time, why does it matter?
I mean, because that's normally a thing.
But you can't review it.
And if the clock ain't at zero, and he's doing this?
No, what if I'm saying?
If I'm sitting here trying to call a timeout, but they're all behind me.
They weren't all behind them, though.
But that's what the guys are.
But did the reps see him calling the time?
They looked away.
Three refs on the floor.
That's how you do.
We ain't got them all.
Lady, you ain't got no timeout, dog.
Hey, they're looking up at the clock.
They're like, come on, Katie.
Don't do this to me, dog.
Come on, Katie.
Don't do this, dog.
Don't do this.
Adam Silver made the cause.
Don't do this.
I ain't like this.
Not like this.
Not like this.
We did another.
Come on, Katie.
Was disappointed in the Rockets and Thunder,
delaying the start of the Lakers game,
started on Peacock before eventually going over to NBC.
Got to get your streaming game right.
Now, you know what the funny thing is?
Nobody noticed but me,
because I was still on the OKC feed,
that they did an interview after the game with Chet Holn.
So I guess NBC, they're doing interviews
outside in the arena when everybody leaves
about 20, 30 minutes after.
Yeah, I don't know who's going to be watching that channel still, brother, but
y'all can save those because ain't nobody watching that, man.
You probably had four, five people, man, that went to go use the restroom, came back,
and it was still on that channel.
Other than that, man, nobody's, we're going on to the next game.
Nobody's sitting there to see what the interview's about.
We're going on to the next game.
You've got to do that right after the game.
Because the Lakers are playing?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's it's one of those things unless it's the last game like it's if it's the last game maybe
But because it's a double header you're oh yeah you're 30 this interview is 30 minutes into the next game
Why are we sitting on this channel still just the case girl? I mean it was a special night for them
They're ring night everybody don't got remotes it's ring night ring night big win open it night
But it's the first time but it's right you should pull them off the court dude or interview right
there, don't wait 30 minutes, wait to everybody leaves.
Yeah, they're trying to do a post-game show when there's another day.
They're trying to do a post-game show, everybody leaves.
Like, how long does it take somebody, all of them to get out of the arena?
About 15, 20 minutes.
To get out the arena?
Get out the arena?
After the game took away?
You're talking about all the people in the crowd.
Yeah.
Oh.
So they waited to the arena cleared than they did their post interview.
I'm like...
Well, let's get back to the actual game action.
Thunder looks shaky early in this game, trailing by as much as 12 in the second half.
But SGA came on strong when his team needed them the most.
the most hitting a huge bucket in the fourth quarter to send it to OT as well as what would
be the game winning free throws but we all watch the game what are y'all biggest takeaways from
the thunder's opening night win over the rockets got the dump that the thunder are very good
especially once they get healthy and they get jdub back they're they are very good they're
young um they got a lot of pieces and i mean they're going to be good for a couple years they
They got some graphics.
They got a lot of assets, man.
They got a lot of good things over there going.
So if they can stay healthy, they're going to be good.
Yeah, but just over the biggest takeaways from that opening that game, Thunderdiff.
The biggest takeaway is that whoever's a point guard that's a free agent right now, you should be calling the damn Houston Rockets.
They ain't got no money, can you?
They're going to have to release, listen, I feel bad for 14 and 15 on the back end of that.
on the back end of that thing then because they were out to do something.
I thought they needed a point.
Yeah, that would, yeah, my ass, my ass, hey.
Yeah, my ass, yeah, my ass, you saw what I heard this.
You said take away from the game or not.
Oh, oh, yeah, bro.
No, no, no.
It's a take away.
It could be thunder, could be rockets.
You don't see.
You're all through the thought they're really good.
Mine is that fucking Houston in trouble if they don't get a point guard.
You said has any problem.
They got a problem if they don't get a point.
And another thing was...
Because Reed Shepard, his answer to the pressure is shoot.
Like, everything, they pressure him.
He's looking at, hey, man, get this bitch out my hand, and I'm putting it on the rim.
So, like, every time he got, hey, listen.
So that ain't the answer, young fella.
And that thing, they don't post.
Why they got San Gung posting up at the three-point line?
Yeah, I hate it.
I hate it. I'm like...
Gis caruso.
I mean, yeah.
Gis Caruso, that's like, come on.
He was still getting to his shit.
He gets to it, but he's got a dribble like a guard.
But, Schengu's 39, 11, and 7th time?
In overtime, why are you backing Crusoe down from the three-point line?
Because he could, what else are you going to do, face him up?
But they ain't got a point guard.
He's going to face him up and get him from him.
Soon as he's going to say, motherfucking him up and get rid of Alex Russoe going to motherfucking
send him to see, he's going to motherfucking down like Matt, nigg.
But I'm saying, just point guard, bring it up, go to the post.
Anybody bring it up, go to the post.
They ain't got no point guard.
He can't go to the block.
No, what I'm saying is anybody bring it up, go to the pole.
Yeah, they ain't got no point guard to do that.
They ain't got no point guard to get it to him.
That ain't going to get your ass on the block and over time.
Because Katie didn't want to drive that bitch against Doort.
He didn't.
He can't.
He can't.
That was coming off the way.
No.
That was not like that.
We shepherding.
That's his answer to the pressure, shoot.
Remember, amen fouled out.
It's not like they're stopping Amen from driving.
No, for sure.
No, for sure.
No, for sure.
He started.
The problem is if your best player is Sangoon and he's a post guy, post mid guy,
and you don't put him on the block, which that's where his danger zone is,
you have him at the three posting up.
We don't need to double.
We don't need to double these first four dribbles him going.
We can all stay home and you don't create no mismatch versus you put him in the post.
As soon as he turned the face, we got to hurry up and dig on that first one.
So the fact that they're not creating this swing, swing on him,
it's like Shaq posting up at the three-point line.
They couldn't get in their offense.
They couldn't get in their offense to do all that give you.
So the only answer they had, too, would him like, here you go, you go do it yourself.
They couldn't get him the ball.
They could not get him the ball, bro.
Your, Amy Thompson didn't foul.
He left the game in the first overtime.
Cramps, didn't come back in the game left for about three minutes ago.
First game, brother.
Is your body ain't ready for that?
I'm here to work.
I mean, the pick-in-roll with KD and St. Gunner.
Yeah, he had cramps or something there.
He didn't get it there.
But he didn't come back in?
Couldn't.
No.
He's 20, right, 21?
Okay.
Cramps?
Cramps or cramp?
First game.
First game.
You in overtime?
In the first overtime?
Shit me.
And we asked you to do more than what?
He ain't just got to bring that bitch up the floor.
And ain't they bothering him bringing up the floor.
He got to go to the other side.
So you're 94, 94, both.
No, I mean, his body, I mean his body type.
He got no body fat, Nick.
No, that's what I'm saying, his body type.
Once some calves go, hey, I'm telling you, right, when you all retain water, see y'all, see y'all retain, when you don't retain water and you muffle out there being leaking like that game one, you dehydrating yourself.
Once them calves tighten up, he didn't get no electrolytes.
He would have to go get an IV.
Yeah, don't.
Right?
Here, there was over there giving him the gate rate all that.
He would have had to go in the back and get an IV.
I just came back in the game.
We don't have...
I just came back from war and I did that shit.
But we don't have that body type.
Special forces.
Look, look.
We don't, we don't, look.
And boy, listen, you need...
Take from somebody who had three and that.
Yeah, I need the water, look.
Water.
I need water.
I know you did.
I didn't cramp and leave that motherfucker.
You need water.
Dry lift up.
Tyro.
Bigger.
That she lifted.
Trust me, somebody like,
not.
Body fat like your body got three and a half, four percent body fat.
Yep.
He ain't, he ain't listen.
Ain't nothing holding up, trust him,
Hollow Ben, Sherry.
Cut, I used to wear calves leaves and all that, right?
So I used where calves leaves, doing something to the game.
Listen, run over, hey, man, cut these things,
oh, my calves can't breathe.
Like, I'm cramping up in the first half now.
Like, so.
For sure.
Yeah, bro, like, when you, it's real when you don't retain,
when you sweat and you leak, especially the first game of the season.
But I ain't ready for that.
Because that's the only, that's the hardest you played since last year.
I mean, you ain't doing that in the summer.
Your Higlena is going crazy.
And he only played 39 minutes.
only first game only yeah he playing at least that's his first game only and that's what
training camp is for that right there would have happened day one on that back-to-back that's what we
what he experienced right now that's that would have happened we would all been sitting there
at in the room after the second practice like I'm done right I'm gonna be good we do we
He's a body locked up after.
Body locked up.
Hey, motherfuck.
That's real.
It's in the game.
So the next day a rear bag, go coming that motherfucker be like, yep.
Yep.
I'm back.
Hamstring.
I'm back.
That's when now you got to do everything.
Hey, need them three days.
Hey, I need, hey, I ain't ready for this.
That's me like, young feeling, you got it today.
I'm like, God, damn.
Go ahead and make this.
Yeah.
Yeah, please, hey, wait.
Right.
For real.
Like, I'm like, God, damn, y'all.
Go ahead and make this team.
Like, we give it.
We're giving minutes up.
Yeah.
That's what I'm saying.
He's young.
You know, so y'all used to do that shit.
You got it.
You know, he ain't making it.
Yeah.
Think about that, though.
Y'all used to make us run and run, do every run and drill.
He's young.
That's what I'm saying.
But they don't do that.
They don't practice.
Trade a campaign like it used to be.
So this is, that's what I'm saying?
Four preseason games, you probably play with a total of fucking 39 minutes in them preseason games.
Yeah.
Like, not even are.
So, you know what I'm saying?
It's crazy, man.
That's crazy, man.
You can have us come before in practice,
then come before the game in practice.
Yeah, but Houston, they need the point guard,
but they gotta do something.
But OK, Seagone, they, they gonna flirt
with their Golden State record, man, I think.
Once they, once they get, they gonna flirt with it.
That's 64 last year.
Oh, what, Thunder?
Yeah, 64 wins last year, if I'm not mistaken, right?
I think, 668.
Oh no, I'm tripping.
Huh?
64?
68 and 48.
68 wins, so I shorter.
14.
They definitely gonna flirt with that thing this year.
73 and 9 you think it's-
Yes, yes.
They're gonna flirt with it.
That's a spicy take.
I was like, no, because they, they,
listen, I was having to come say somebody said like,
what did Oklahoma City add this?
Because they asked when I picked this year,
I'm like, well, I think, okay, see, can do it again.
They're like, but what did they add?
I said experience.
Yeah, yeah.
Like, that's the biggest free agent that they could have had,
this experience that they didn't need to add nothing.
And playing it a game like this without Jalen Williams.
And imagine.
So, they're the country.
confidence, man.
The other dudes are gaining wise, man.
That's what I'm saying.
And they're young and they're playing.
So the thing about them, they play in every night.
They're young, they're energetic, and they want to, listen, they want to beat you.
Yeah, another thing I kind of didn't like, did y'all like when OkC did the, like, two shots, when the clock was running down 32 seconds, they got up a quick shot, then got the ball back, and then Shay shot it.
I thought that shot was too fast.
The two for one?
Yeah, two for one.
The two for one, when it's fourth quarter, though, going in.
going in. You only got two, I mean, only down, down one.
Don't get picked.
Trying to get one right there.
Would you say OKC is the only team since, OKC is probably the only team since the
Warriors that can probably go back to back?
Yeah.
Warriors were the last team to go back to back, 2017, 18.
There's been, because they've
demonstrated different champions.
I'm saying?
Overall, I think they got better.
Yeah.
Because of that experience.
And in the age, too.
In the age, I think they got better.
So I would say yes.
Yeah.
They have a real legitimate shot at.
shot at going back to back.
I mean, I like
because the Lanship went on the, yeah.
I mean, you know, like this is Chet's,
it seemed like this is Chet's breakout year.
He got paid so he's good.
Like, he's playing real basketball.
When Jalen comes back, I mean, now you have a real
three-headed monster with everybody else
knowing their roles.
Yeah, 28 and 7 for Chet in the game.
Right, so coming into this game,
playing against that group, right?
When you're talking about, like, a battle win,
you know, playoffs, that's going to be a matchup.
Right?
to get to that championship.
That might be the matchup.
So to withstand what Sandhung was doing, what Katie was doing, you know what I mean, it shows
that we are ready to, right?
You know, we're ready.
We're trying to defend what we did last year.
Right?
If they would have lost this one, we would have been like, you know, it's open the night,
it's ring night, you know, the emotions.
But the fact that they went to double over time and still pulled it out.
out in the way they did, like, SGA is basically finishing where he left off.
What?
Chet, it's, I'm tapping up, I'm tapping in, like, I'm showing y'all I'm a new chat.
Wallace.
I'm like, say, I'm like, what about Houston though?
Like what, what did they show us besides the lack of porn guard, besides lack of that, right?
Is Katie and Sangoon enough?
What, who else needs, and Thompson, like, but we don't expect Thompson to be a huge score, right?
We expect him to play solid, be who he is, right?
He's going to have to average it.
He's going to have to average something more.
He's going to have to be 18.
Do you think he needs to average more?
I think so.
In order for them, like, for us to be like...
They're missing next.
Because it's Sangoon and Katie enough.
No, they need...
With him averaging 18.
No.
No.
No, they need one more experience for you.
You do?
Mm.
Because you don't get anything offensive from Stephen Adams.
I know.
You don't get anything offensive from that.
What does Jabari Smith have to do?
What do?
Yeah, that's why about you.
You got Finney Smith.
I mean, there's a lot of, there's still a lot of people.
They're not playing the game.
Yeah.
You got Finney Smith, you got Easton, right?
They can't play all of them, though.
Somebody's going to be an odd man out.
When Jay Sean come back,
when Finney Smith come back, Easton.
And Easton.
Then you got one on the other goal.
So Kiki or Josh, him, you got him.
Like, somebody, you can't,
all them do is the same player.
All of them
I do like the big lineup though
I'm not mad at the lineup
I mean
You know
How you're not mad at they can
Because they have so many
You know what I'm saying
They got so many pieces
That they can work with
It's going to take them
So the blue thing is
Who plays well with each other
And then they're going to have
That's what they can have a
So
But you know it's a copycat lead though
You do go there right
So the next game
What team's going to do?
Pressure 94 feet
They're going to press
Listen, it's a copycat lead.
Game two, you're going to, listen,
game two, your flawed and I already showed it.
But the problem is,
that was considered the best defensive team.
But still, they still can emulate it.
No, what I'm thinking is, that's the best defensive team.
You don't have to be OECC, you don't have to be OECD to bother them.
Nope, but you have to be OKC to bother them and win the game.
Okay, well, we're just about bothering them, put you in,
they can't get in the offense, put you in position to beat them.
But think about it.
talking about one of the, not, it's the best defensive team.
I dig it.
And you have an MVP, and your guards are elite at what they do.
I'm not saying the winning part.
I'm not saying the winning part.
I'm saying the game playing part.
If they were saying that in prepose to the winning part,
what I'm saying is that they would've stood that to go to double overtime
and still had chances to win.
Like, you're not going to find a caruso and a little dork on the same team to bother both.
Like, I can't, I can't dribble either one.
The game is the close.
with double team
You know what I'm saying
You're just saying every night
They're going to have to go here
It's going to be something different
Like I'm just saying the game
Like winning part of the thing
You can't immolate. Yeah
Houston is a really good ticket
They got good players
Of course they're going to be in the big
But overall
What I'm saying
Game playing and going into it
Game two they're going to be
Oh shit they ain't got no point
I should buy picking him up full court
Make him
He came out
He cramped up he going to look
So this is what I'm saying
That part of it
Until they do something different
And what and so you can't keep
giving the ball to San Goon, let them bring the ball up the floor.
That is not sustainable.
No, what are they going to do?
For somebody to do the same thing,
you got to have elite defenders on the point guard,
the shooting guard, and a small four.
No, you can just be in that way.
If Thomas is trying to bring it up,
and I give it to KD.
Yeah, just, no, I'm just saying.
You don't have to be elite defender to pick somebody of 94 feet.
You don't have to be elite.
I can turn you.
I don't have to try to listen.
My job ain't to
It's to false pressure
You know that shit
You didn't pick the ball
Of full court when you
Right
You ain't trying to take the ball
From nobody
You just want to run the shot clock down
That's all I'm saying
It's like run the shot clock down
By the time they get in their offense
They had fucking 13 like they was
That's all I'm saying you can do that
They have elite defenders in OKC
Yes
In order to win a championship
They need those elite defenders
I'm saying game two of 82
Whoever they're playing next
The pistons.
The pistons are going to pick them up full court.
So it's going to play next.
They're going to pick them up full court.
They don't have to be elite.
Because they play the third game.
Because they don't have to be elite.
Okay.
So right now they don't have the ball hand.
Okay.
Guarantee K.
He's going to pick somebody in front of his brother.
I mean, stay in front of him.
Amen.
So he's going to have the brother play the brother.
Okay, cool.
Pick him up for your brother.
Pick him up full court.
Right.
So that's where him back.
Pick him up full court.
Pick him up full court and wear him down.
You know, that's all they're gonna do.
Pick him up, full court, wear him down,
then you put some, that's all I'm saying.
Like, yeah.
You know, Katie, you don't want pressure right now.
He can't do all that right now.
I do like the-Sangoon bring it up the floor.
I said, Stuart, go get him, right?
That's what I'm saying, it's like,
go bother him, go pressure him.
He might give it to you, kick it off his foot.
Katie, bring it up the floor, make him exert extra energy
and bring him off the floor.
That's what I'm saying.
Like, yeah, he's going to turn his back
and please come get this thing, man.
They did that shit every time doort.
Yes.
That's all I'm like, it's weird a ugly head.
Yeah, Lou Geh.
At Katie, hey, you don't want to do all that, no, more.
Because that's what, yeah, it's a copycat lead.
Oh, shit, they ain't got no point guard.
So let's dive into the Rockies go a little bit deeper on them.
So KD was brought in to be the go-to guy,
but that remained to be seen in game one.
He deferred to Shang-goon to exploit some defensive mid-matches.
Duran took three shots in the fourth quarter
in both overtimes combined before a fouling out.
wasn't efficient nine for 16 from the field but went over four from deep 16 shot
attempts were the third most on the team behind shangoon and Thompson so after
the game Doreen had this to say about the Rockets offense to close out the game
so yeah team closes the game though you know we make plays as a team I'm not
expected to make every big shot in every closed game you know I just feel like my
presence out there can ease the tension out of everyone from everybody we can make
plays so it's how nice is gonna be my night here for us and nice as well
going to be outweets and that's going to be barred and twins, so, you know, we all just got to be prepared for it.
Obviously, Katie coming back to OKC, we spent a lot of time in his career.
Their ring ceremony was getting booed by the crowd, was booing them back as well.
He was booing them back.
Yeah, he let him know, booed to you too.
That's funny.
After the game did say, though, he has a great relationship when he walks around O.C., still gets a lot of love.
But, you know, they still feel a certain type of way about him dipping in 2016, obviously.
But how did Katie look in his first game with the Rockets?
He looks like how I expect him to play right now.
For his age, KD needs somebody else that could go get it.
Like an A-time.
He need A-Times to be, whatever, Thompson, to be aggressive.
Because the dork pressure him, you know, KD is not about to do all that.
When game was on the line, he went to the old man move, back him down, shot over him,
six, seven.
I mean, 611 or 610.
Yeah, he's 6, 7.
But for sure, his height, he's going to always have that jumper.
I feel like he just got the old man game now.
Open threes, all that.
The lack of a point guard facilitator, the offense looked a little shaking time.
They were up 12 in the second half.
But that's expected, man.
Okay, see at home, man, a lot of stuff going on, man.
And they missing one of their better players.
Yeah, of course, yeah, it's expected, man.
But to that point, like, yeah, he shouldn't have to work that hard to get his looks now like he did last.
So with a point guard, that'll help.
But somebody who can get them into their sense, that would help.
Elivate that.
But no, it's.
So this is, I hear Katie what he's saying.
You make plays as a team to win the game and all that.
I hear you.
But when you are one of the best scores this game has seen, you are held to a different
standard.
You are expected to go get buckets.
We expect you when the game is on the line, the last three minutes of the game, the last
two minutes of the game.
This is what the expectation is.
You are a hired gun.
You're an assassin.
Easy money sniper is your name.
That's what we expect.
That's what these coaching staff, these people expect out of you.
So for you to defer, I understand what you're saying is game one.
Yeah, I get it.
But the expectation is for you to go get a bucket when we need a bucket.
We're paying 55.
Can you post them up in door too, though?
Yeah, but I'm saying, it's tough.
But he couldn't get in his spot because he's playing out on the perimeter.
He's playing so far on the floor.
They couldn't run sets to get back screens to do this, to do this,
because he's trying to be a pressure reliever to go get the ball.
so he's out of, so it was a lot going on.
It was a lot going on, but yeah, no, we're expecting you to go get a bucket, KD.
Like, this is what you are, this is who you are, this is what you've been in every stop.
This is why you are looked at as, so as their score.
You said you work on your game this hard.
I saw a clip, him talking about anybody can play defense.
You can teach the janitor to play defense and slides side to side, but anybody can, that's why you work.
on your game this hard because everybody can't do as well guess what you got to make
shots you got to make shots so guess what we're expecting you to make shots when the game is
on the line and not defer at times you know so I was I was it's one of those now the point
guard makes sense but this point guard those those J-Kid types where hey come no get
over here we're going to you right this is this is your time that's not a poster
Yeah, this is your time, give him the ball.
If that's the real shepherd, Katie's doing this,
Reed Sheppard's dribbling around him.
What the fuck you're about the pastur two?
That's Kevin Durant over there.
Who are you through?
You give him the ball, move out of the way.
What you're dribbling around and looking over here for the,
that's Smith, Jr.
Like, I get it, but that Smith Jr.
That's not, he don't get paid that type of money
to take those type of shot.
He ain't even the first of his name.
Turn four.
Get your ass on the block, Kay.
Hey, that ain't the post up.
Like, I was just, there was this thing that's like, these, like,
what was their offense last year?
Whoever got it, shoot it, right?
They got, they're trying that with KD on the court.
Like, yeah, yeah, y'all don't need to do that no more.
Give him the ball.
They're going to be forced to double.
He's going to pass it.
Man, he didn't have to double.
They didn't have to double.
He didn't have to pay it.
He was throwing offense there.
They didn't have to do it.
Yeah, overtime.
You got to get shots like that, good shots.
They still got to learn how to play with each other.
I mean, I feel like Katie first game was solid.
I mean, I feel like he was fatigued.
I mean, I'm not mad.
I feel like he was fatigued, though.
I mean, he played 47 minutes.
But three shots in the fourth quarter,
both overtime before the initiate offense?
Yeah.
But I still like that one and two with him and Sangoon.
That pick and row is deadly.
Mr. B, you were watching that game on playback.
Because that was got Sangoon a lot open because of the double on Katie a lot.
You got your, like, I like it because your high and low is coming from 611 to 6.11.
That kind of changes things, but do you, go ahead, go ahead.
You know, like somebody like Sangoon, you got to realize, but he's still young.
So all the advantages take advantage.
Like, even with Yokish, Yolkis has his advantage.
And then if he sees you coming, if he sees you coming, he's going to pass one to make you, you know, stay there.
Stephen Adams in the way, bro.
True.
They don't need.
Let's call the spades, but he's in the way.
He's in the way offensively, dog.
I don't.
Like, no, no, he's bored.
He is in the way and a liability, dog,
because he does nothing but offensive rebound and sit-screen.
Like, on that, for that, what they're trying to do.
Sangoon needs to be your five.
Like, let's just call it what is he has in a clear advantage,
foot speed, athleticism, offensive ability than most five in the NBA.
He is a better five.
Who do you start?
Who?
At the...
You got...
You got...
You got...
It'd probably be...
No, no, it'd be Finney.
So probably...
Okay.
Finney probably...
Who would be...
Lager's black and mouth.
Lakers black and mouth.
Yeah, yeah, so...
No, he's only black and mild on Lakers.
We gave him as a name.
You don't get to keep your nickname.
You get a new one.
Get a new one.
Let the Huston...
Let the Huston give you a nickname.
He got paid.
No, no, no, what I'm saying is he got paid now, so I mean,
he's a graduated for Black Miles, right?
Got the wine.
Casino.
He got the wine flavor.
He got the wine flavor Black and Miles now.
He got the Kodak Tipton.
He got the Ils.
The Kodak tips on the Black of Miles.
So he might, so...
$3,000.
Put him at the 4-Sangoon at the 5.
Now that mug is open now.
Now, if you got somebody who ain't shooting, he just dead way down there.
Yeah, but...
I don't know.
Is that disrespectful having Caruso on the 5, man?
No, because he proved he can do it last year.
Guard of Yogan.
So they...
How they run it?
Put him on the color, so.
No, but the way they're running it, they're running it like,
you just can, you just make them, just mess with them.
Let him play with the ball a little bit.
I want centers to be.
And they weren't doubling the car.
They were playing them one-on-one.
Everybody to point guard now.
Just brings them out.
Because he'll win a pass.
So the thing is, he's such a good passer.
They just play him one-on-one, make him do it.
If he got to do all this shit, do all this shit to get to the step through to score,
pat him on his ass, good shot.
Tie-ass out.
And I'm going to make you do it again.
next possession.
That's why I was,
the fire his ass.
Right here.
Make him do all that.
Yeah.
No,
but Cruz are a smart
defender.
He's just smart.
He's just playing games,
moving around,
poking at the ball
when he can,
take a charge,
block,
whatever it is,
but it's just,
just being the fucking way.
You don't realize how,
that's what,
he's still the half.
I think about it.
He can play the,
it can guard the five.
Yeah,
that's what I'm saying,
you don't realize
how effective someone is
when you have them.
Yeah.
We didn't know
he's doing this when he was with us or in Chicago.
Opportunity, man.
It was like, oh, should he guard yokech?
Nah, like, his asset just, like, his value just went up.
We can put you on moving fours.
I didn't want to know.
The Carusha, fours, fours, five, huge, huge force.
Like, we can't put you on Yonis because Yonis is, it's.
Yeah, he was for your line, right?
Yeah, yeah.
He was for you to be versatile in your game planning when he can guard up.
One's, two, three, fours.
I think about that.
Look, say, and Wallace, him and Dort.
They can play small as different.
It's everywhere.
I like it.
They all the same light, though.
Yeah, that's what I like it.
All the same.
But it is the skies with two, seven foot is back there that knows how to play defense.
Like, it is the sky.
No.
The line was Shay, Wallace, Dork.
No, that's crazy.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
All the same height.
Just six, five, the taller is six five.
The line, if you start in the second half,
the line of you came up.
in the second half.
Didn't start Hardinstein?
Like, yeah, that...
Yeah.
Think about that, bro.
Scrappy dog?
Hey, it ain't the size of the dog, man.
The dog in the fight.
You know what I'm talking about?
We touched on this...
A little bit earlier, but y'all all agreed.
I mean, the Rockets rolled up that tall lineup.
Average height is 610, but it gave them problems.
Can you say it's going to give them problems for the remaining of the scene until they address it.
So 25 total turnovers, gave up 28 points off of those turnovers, 23 assists in the game.
game.
Shangoon had a team high seven assists for the Rockets.
So they need to, the problem is they don't have the bread to do so.
So in order to bring in a point guard, they don't have to move some money around, but
there's only a certain amount of contracts that aren't eligible to be traded before December
15th.
That's why the GMs get paid to big bucks.
Make it enough.
They were teaming.
Mr. Stone, time for you to do your job, brother.
But do you think they can sustain right now with Amen Thompson as the de facto point guard
by committee leader?
No.
No.
No.
Does it feel like a situation we saw with the Sons in previous season?
This is worse.
That point guard by committee?
No, no, Devon Booker can handle pressure.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean?
Devin Booker is much better at...
Not saying apples to apples compared to the team.
Equipped to run a team.
No, Devin Bougar more equipped to run a team at the point guard position than these boys are.
Yeah, but this whole point guard by committee narrative, point guard pretty important.
Yeah, for sure.
Part of the often.
They had 25 turnovers and went to double-old.
over time.
Crazy.
First game of the season.
Without two of their main players playing that adds value to the team.
Like I, I, they can, they're going to run off 10, they're going to run off on some.
Like you're talking about trying to stop a team that's all, all can shoot the ball, besides my most athletic guard.
But for the most part, all can actually shoot from the outside.
So you're looking at Orlando when they're all healthy.
Everybody can shoot that.
So with two aggressive players, I mean, I see a time where they might,
they're going to run off some numbers on people, especially at this season.
So they want to stay big line up and they want to stay who they are, right?
I got a guy that can go sign.
How about Ben Simmons?
He plays the fucking point guard position.
He plays the point guard position.
I can dribble.
I'm not mad at that.
He's used to pressure.
I'm not mad at that.
He don't need the big contract.
You don't need him to score in this home?
You don't need him to score.
You can keep the same line-ups of Ben Simmons out for Big Man, Adams.
Yes.
And then have your point forward.
How you got it?
I like that.
Yeah, I like that.
Shit.
I mean, if you're going to have somebody out there who can't score,
you might as well have someone who can't score and but he passed a hell of that ball.
And know how to dribble is.
He's a ball handle.
Yeah, no, let's go.
So we talked to KD's side.
I just hope mentally he's there.
I don't need him there, minorset.
Just bring the ball.
Let's bring the ball.
I'm not rolling with him.
Hey, one thing I see, no matter how mentally in his back was messed up,
he never turned it over, bringing it up full court.
Y'all I'm still thinking of being from six years ago.
Yes.
Same skill set.
It ain't got the same skill set.
You ain't seen him not being a great pastor.
You're not, you never seen him not playing a great defense.
You play well with the clippers.
The only thing you say is, oh, man, he won't shoot.
The only thing that left was the shooting.
You played well with the clippers?
Yeah, he played well with the clippers.
He just didn't shoot.
He just don't shoot the ball no more.
Which is fine, man.
Like this is, he's coming down.
That shit is overrated, huh?
For him on the court, you're playing four and five.
That shit is over on you.
They already playing four and five with Stephen Adams.
So I'm saying, if you're going to be, if you're going to have a Stephen Adams, might as well make my Stephen Adams.
He had like a double double in what?
In what?
Minnics, minutes, minutes.
Minutes and trips up and down the floor?
No, he's getting rebound on the tip-ins.
I see him tip in.
He had a double double.
He had a double.
Four points.
I'm about the bad one I've seen the tip in.
You've seen a double double.
Four points.
That was the double double.
Two plus two.
Two plus two double double.
Big can get 13 rebounds.
Five offense rebounds.
He can get 13 rebounds.
He can get 13 rebounds.
He can score four points.
He can be under the rim wide open.
He's going to score.
You're talking about scoring.
You're talking about rebounding.
It don't matter.
You got to get the rebound.
What was he had again?
Four points.
Four.
What did it be an average last year for the clippers?
Yeah.
Four.
Four.
How much being average?
Zero and what?
See, y'all forget.
He's a pastor, man.
He's a peer point.
No.
Three points, three points, four rebounds, three assists.
Yeah, so, hey.
Put him in the situation, man.
It's 16 minutes.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
It might be too much pressure for.
Nick, and guess what else he do?
Nick, and guess what else he'd do as an edit elite level?
You know, defense, you know Katie played with him before, right, in Brooklyn.
If he wanted him, he would have gone.
When he was playing in Brooklyn?
You don't remember Ben in Brooklyn now?
With Katie?
No, I don't remember Ben and Brooklyn.
He's played together, right?
Yeah, I think he came after.
I think he came after.
That was the trade for James.
My back and my neck hurt.
Back you out of him.
Ben wasn't there, okay?
That's what I'm saying.
He ain't been there.
He was at the hospital.
He had a lawsuit.
He had a lawsuit.
I got to win my back and my neck.
He ain't been there.
He played a half a season last year.
Let's talk a little bit about Alperin, Shangoon.
He helped him.
He helped him.
He came through.
39 points, career high, five, three-pointers.
I also had 11 rebounds, 7 assists.
He's 23 years old, did his thing in your old basket.
I hear balling right now.
What were your first impressions of Alperin Shangoon
this season?
And what statement did he make in the rocket season opener?
Listen, from how he finished last year, it looked like he didn't understand what his game was, right?
It looked like he didn't know if he was trying to be Yokic or himself.
And it seemed like he's finding out who he is.
You know, sometimes we want to mimic somebody we see, oh, the next Yokish, and you started looking at Yokish trying to figure out.
Like, you have a very different skill set than Yokic, right?
You got to type into yours, and it looked like he's figuring out.
Baby Yokin.
His real gift.
He ain't Baby Yokic.
He is San Gung.
And that skill set is very different from Yokic.
Like, he can pass.
It looks like he has a little bit more to his shit than Yokish does.
And, you know, I wouldn't box it in.
Yeah, he got a little bit more than that.
Has he pulling on it?
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
I'm like, yo.
And it was the T-Mack.
For real, yo.
But it's been hit him with the T-M-M-M-A.
Black.
Team Macca.
He just don't see that.
Yeah, he got that Andre Blotch.
He got that Andre Blotch game.
So he does see the floor well, but he has made up his mind that I'm going to score.
Yeah.
Right?
Yeah.
He's a hell of a passer.
He can pass the ball if you put him on the, like he can get them up.
But I've been, since we, I've been praising his, he's been doing what I, from day one, when him and KJ came in.
And when he, yo, this boy.
can actually play, man. Like, I saw a lot. I always thought he had to play faster.
He's making faster decisions now to play him with the ball before he would get that
motherfucker pump fake, pump fake. No, shoot it. Now he's getting out last night. He was coming
his way. He wasn't even thinking about it. So, yeah, I'm a big fan of Alping Seng going
out. Like I stated before they, I thought they would play through him. Yeah. He would be their
number one option. So that's what, that was my next question. Yeah, he's the number one.
Yeah, he's
shangoon should be the rocket's number one option.
I thought that when,
even when Katie went,
how they ended last year,
playing through him.
Yeah,
he's the number one option.
He's the future of the Houston Rockets.
Mr. B.,
I see you shaking your head.
Do you not agree with what Kenyon
is saying that Shane Gould
should be the Rockets' number one option
they should play through him?
39 piece in his.
Not yet.
Not yet,
but I do feel like he is the future.
I wasn't familiar with his game,
and last night he just showed me
that he's a dog and he's different.
But I just think
because Katie can score from
anywhere in all,
So he's a facilitator, too.
So I just feel like KD's still the number one option right now.
But I think as it goes on, I think Sengun, once he's able to pass more and be able to see the floor,
I know he can pass, but just some plays yesterday, I just felt like he could have passed to his teammates.
But does that make things easier for KD on this roster?
Have a guy like Sengo.
You know what he's not going to pass it.
Why he can't be the number one option is only because if you're going through KD,
this early in the season and through the season, right,
what happens in the, like, in the playoffs.
He, he, at his age, he burns out faster.
So you would rather say, all right, we're going to run through you.
We're going to.
And then in the playoffs or certain games, certain matchups,
obviously Katie's going to take over.
But I wouldn't have Katie doing all that heavy.
He don't need to.
Like, if you want to take anywhere from 14 to 20 shots,
you stay in that range.
Right? You stay in that range. He's going to be efficient. So we don't really need to just force-feed you to have you burning up all your energy. You don't have that. You don't have that energy in your game, and we shouldn't be expected. If we're doing that to Katie already, there's a problem.
If they had a point guard, would you have to?
Still no. I don't want to even with Fred. Before Fred got hurt, I thought still should play through San-Gro.
Yeah, go through San-Go. Even when Fred was there, I was like, he still is their number one option. Played to him.
It helps Katie get easier to look.
You don't want maybe you have to play a different.
You got to dig, you got to help, you got to,
because he's really good on the block.
Right.
He has up and up.
So you're saying, no, so you're saying, no, he shouldn't be a number one option right now.
No, right now, it's one.
Yeah.
He's saying, Sanguongue should.
One A, one B.
I don't even know.
It's one and two.
Yeah.
In the playoffs, it's going to be one A and one B,
and they're going to flip-flop from matchups.
Okay.
There's going to be matchups where KD is going to be taking 24,
25. This ain't the one.
Last night or at the beginning of the season,
I'm not going to be trying to say, hey, can you go out there
and, you know, average 30.
He can do it. Once eight men get a jump shot, it's going to be
his team, though.
If I'm, if I'm Houston, no, if I'm Houston right now,
if I'm Houston right now, I'm using.
But I was looking at the same going.
But I was with, I was with Jason Richardson.
He couldn't shoot a gun
when he got in the NBA
I mean I mean you had people
He had to free the line
Probably not the most ideal
So he had the same thing they were to say about
Jake kid to call him Aeson
Yes
So but
But I witness
I witness a person
Actually become a non-shooter
To an elite three-point shooter
Right
I watched him every single day
He was irritated
people were sagging off of him.
He was the first person I seen that flipped the, like, you know what I mean?
Like 9-99 and it flips the shooting machine.
He was shooting until it flipped over,
and you couldn't even tell how many he was shooting anymore.
So I'm saying with Amen, right now, your only job is to get a jumper,
meaning you should be spinning all day before practice, after practice,
game working on a set shot in the work.
I don't need you to work on nothing else.
So you taking 500 to 1,000 shots a day, by the time you get to the playoffs, your percentage
is going to move up just a little bit.
We don't need you to be, we don't need you to be Fred, but you can be, you can be a threat
where people are like, let me see, let me hit two.
He tried to take over, but he had to get to the hole every time.
I remember watching Lou Doors, like, man, why is he still shooting the ball?
Why is he still shooting the ball to now?
Like, hey, he over there.
Yes.
Throw it to him, please.
Respect it.
Respect it.
Respect it.
So a little bit of housekeeping before we move on.
We asked the chat who should be the rocket's number one option.
51% of the chat said KD, 48% said Shangoon.
We also asked the chat, do you trust Aiman Thompson as a de facto PG in Houston?
62% of the chat said no.
They do not trust Aeman Thompson at this point.
We'll see how it breaks down.
You said they need to get on the phone.
Yes.
Man.
No, agents, listen, if you represent a porn guard right now, and if you're not calling Houston Rockets,
listen, the phone needs old school.
That bitch ringing busy.
You know, the old school house phone, that bitch ringing busy?
Hey, yeah, that big needs to be ringing busy all day.
Like, damn, I've been calling all day.
It's like you're calling a radio station, you never get the radio station.
Yeah, yeah.
The good old day.
Yeah, I'm trying to get my song played.
Like, yeah, no, that bitch ringing busy all day.
And then they're like, hello, you're a lot.
Hey!
You forget what you're calling, right?
You need to call 62 times.
Let's keep this thing moving.

All right, one more thing, a little bit of housekeeping with the Rock is.
got to talk quickly early this week, KD, two-year $90 million extension to stay in Houston.
So he'll be guaranteed to be this season, next season, has a player option 2027.
He was eligible for $120 million max extension over two years, sacrificed around $30 million
to make sure the Rockets could have some financial flexibility to keep the team competitive.
So after finding out KD that that large of a pay cut for the good of the team,
Amen Thompson called him a, quote, generous guy.
That very generous guy here
But you respect KD for taking a $30 million pay cut
To help keep the Rockets competitive
Listen
He's been taking pay cuts
Was so funny
He's the highest paid player ever
While taking pay cuts this whole time
When he went to Golden State
That was a pay cut
When he really up with Golden State
It was a pay cut
The reason they got to max out
Curry is because he took the pay cut
Remember they were both up at the same time
And he said
this is your guy, this is his city
so you max him out, I'll take whatever's left over
versus I take the max
and then he gets whatever, that's not...
And no reports of no show jobs or anything
like that going on. No, no show jobs, but it was like
Uber. Go ahead, invest in Uber.
I got this Uber for you.
Get those are my main in the Bitcoin.
I don't know.
Invest in Bitcoin, but remember your password.
Remember your password.
He couldn't.
Sona Car Valley.
What?
Like so, man, like, he's done, he's done, like, shown that he's willing to sacrifice
money to keep trying to get the team better.
Like, he's actually showing him.
No one praises him for it.
Yeah, only talk shit about it.
Yeah, he only talk shit about him.
And I realize, that man's taking 30 million less.
He took way less money to go to Golden State, took a lot less money to make sure Curry was happy.
Like, he's done a lot.
So, Gilles, you pointed out, even taking those team-friendly deals, as you call them, KD, now has the highest career earnings in NBA history.
Let's take a look at the infographic, courtesy of boardroom via sport track.
$600 million in total career earnings.
Top 10 players on the list, all currently active.
Durant jumped LeBron for the top spot with Bronon in the final year of his deal with the Lakers.
A number nine on that list, GUTURE.
Number nine on that list will be number one.
Damn. Number nine go be number one.
Shit, no. Number ten, two.
Shit, number two.
Ten is younger.
Shit, the dude who not even on the list
don't be number one.
Ten younger than nine?
Yeah!
Ten younger than Shay?
So as it stands right now,
Luca and Tatum are both considered to be in the running
to be the first billion dollar career earner in the area.
Wait, they both are the same name?
Shade, they both, what, 26, 27?
Yeah.
They should be right there.
It should be.
Shade's extension doesn't
kick in, though, for two more seasons.
So that's the whole...
Obviously, Tedham line.
Riches deal, I believe last year.
Or just won MVP, man.
So...
Maybe 27.
Chance won another one is high.
Now, you know which one's crazy?
Very high.
Not going...
Hey, listen, the one that's sick
is seven.
No, no, the reason, because...
He's been injured a lot
and had to take some bad deals,
and he's still there.
You thought he took a bad deal?
Hell, yeah, he took some bad deal.
His last deal was cheap.
He took a bad deal.
No, what I'm saying is for him.
MVP think about this new deal he just signed no what was this new deal with like a three for
one 50 or something like that let me see let me double check do not on the list is wendy he's gonna be
number five oh wait three or 193 million dollar max contract extension but in both
them what we were player awesome yeah yeah like yeah i just five five oh yeah bg i this
Like, people getting them bag, bag, bags, and you don't even notice them.
Smiling, I noticed that smile.
Like, you sit there like, okay, yeah, it ain't big enough for me.
That smile ain't big enough for me.
And you look at a damn piece.
I'm be trying to show all 32 of the motherfuckers.
What?
I'm trying to show my molars on there.
Gums and wisdom.
Hey, I mean, I know LeBron fans is not going to like LeBron.
What?
I know you don't like LeBron.
LeBron fans don't like LeBron?
I mean, not the everybody else's fans that don't like LeBron.
My bad, the LeBron hate us.
Thank you.
Non-glazers.
Look at that number, right?
And then look at everybody else who came after him.
When we think about someone who's maxing out every year,
Curry's first deal was horrible.
40, yeah, 44, whatever.
It was horrible.
Braun's been maxing every time.
So how the pay cuts he's done took in his career for Curry to even catch up is insane.
Yes.
I would, like, I need someone to go back and then max them out, max him out for the 23 years.
to see what this real number would have been.
Always wanted to give back,
the compassionate ghost.
I want to see what his real number.
Because Kirby was so far behind
to be only 50 million behind LeBron James.
That's...
You're thinking about it now, right?
And still won't pay for Wi-Fi.
Huh?
No, what I'm saying is just for the contracts itself,
look at everybody else.
He's on year 23, but he's been maxing out every year.
So what is this real number?
Remember if it's real, like, remember KD came in, how many years after him?
And couldn't get an extension?
He was waiting in front of K-4-5.
So what's take home, though?
He came to three.
$2.60?
Oh, that's what I'm doing.
I don't like to think about that.
Uncle Sam, come and take half, so.
260, 270?
Yeah.
That feeling right there.
That's the gut thing.
The total earning version of that.
How much bread actually made it to your pocket?
2.75, 27.
You got a 5.
Brom came in.
Brom was on his house.
first max. By the time
KD got in, Braun was on his first max.
You know, just put the real
time. Listen.
May, just put the real. Put the real. Yeah, put the
in, and he would have been grandfathered in.
Because he came in under
he came in when,
you remember when that dip happened before the
super max came in? He would have been
under the old deal.
He would have made six and nine.
So LeBron James would have made,
would be at $6.90.
If he maxed out every year, he'd have been at 6'9.
Oh, thank you, hey, appreciate that,
more than 100 million giving back.
Whoa.
Yeah.
So somebody in the chat got it at that 650, so yeah.
Damn, boy.
The fact that it's your least favorite off.
You only take it home to $2.75 is just, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
But just be honest.
Put that list back up there again.
It's meo, meo.
Okay, them, them top three, right?
they got connections that the rest of us don't get it.
Oh, I think, no, they're not getting taxed half that.
They don't found ways around loopholes of loopholes of loopholes.
They're Trump.
Yeah, they're Trump.
They don't pay tax.
I ain't doing all that.
Well, let's get this thing moving.
Hey, hey, hey, I hear you.
I hear you, yes, there is nowhere around.
that NBA
that ain't nowhere around
them taxes.
A few other things
that can move around
yeah.
You go play basketball
in that state
motherfucker
you just it
you're paying
that's it.
How they want to cut that
and say you didn't
say you wasn't there
they're gonna go
pull a
hey on this
cell phone record
yeah
say you weren't there
you was on ESC
and you said
you had 17 and 9
motherfucker like
you know
so you was there
I had that
out of state
you know
I'm saying
Now, that's the state tax.
See you in there.
Hey, absolutely.
No, bro, there they're going to.
I remember the first time, listen, I got that patent back there.
They used to send you the whole drone.
You got to sign them.
I'm like, yo, why the fuck I got to pay taxes here?
Like, you get a game there.
I'm like, man, we was up for $12.
Listen, man.
We landed at two and played that set in left after the game.
Why the fuck I got to pay?
Wasn't even there a full day.
You weren't even there.
You weren't even though a full day.
You worked.
Yeah, you worked there.
I was like, get the fuck out of here, man.
But that, yeah, that first time you got to sign it.
Toronto, the worst.
It should be, it should be like the strip club.
I just got to pay a house tax.
Right, I shouldn't have to pay a state tax.
Like, I'm not working in the state.
I'm coming here.
Just give me a state tax.
What's the house fee?
What's the house for you to leave?
What I got to give you the house for you to leave?
What I got to give you to make the shit go away?
What I got, you get $17,000?
That's what they should do.
You get $17,000.
Yeah, I got that in catch.
It never happened, right?
All right, well, there was another game last night that we have to discuss.
What I got to do, man.
What I got to do, man, why I got to make this go away?
Yeah.
Is that, wait, 22, 5?
Oh, yeah.
Hey, hold on.
One second.
Hey, 22, 5?
It's always some weird ass it, right?
225.
There was another game.
We have to discuss.
Why?
Joke and trying to stick to the business in this motherfucker, boy.
Okay, we have a.
an end time and an out time
and there are things to do.
I'm only on one day this week, so hey.
I got all day.
What a shit?
In that case, let's stick around.
I got all day.
I tell you, uh, today.
So,
Lakers and Warriors.
I put this suit on.
I'm going to wear this way.
Come on.
People don't see this motherfucker.
God damn it.
So Lakers and Warriors
renewed their rivalry on opening night
in the first full season of the
Luca Donchic era for the purple and gold.
Luca would be without his teammate
and favorite player as the Ron
missed a season opener.
LeBron is Luke's favorite player.
He'd been set it since he was in Dallas.
As the Lakers, who, as LeBron missed his first season opener in his 23-year career,
while dealing with the sciaticus, as they call it.
Syedicus, Waggian.
Syedicus?
Okay, that's sciaticus.
You'll be killing me about that here, too.
That will sideline him until at least mid-November.
Luke was only three years old the last time Brown didn't play in a season opener,
and now at 26, the face of the franchise was tabbed.
with taking the purple and gold into battle against Chef Curry and the Warriors.
The game was close in the first half with the Lakers trailing by one at the break.
And the dubs went up, went on a 19 to four run to open up the second half and were controlled for the rest of the game.
The Lakers tried to mount a comeback late in the fourth quarter, but Steph was having none of that.
Let's take a quick look at this video.
So Lakers down seven under a minute to go.
Steph came through with the Dagger three.
It was very reminiscent of the three that LeBron dotted in Steph's eye back in the playing game.
Underdog lost a lot of money off that shot right there.
This night, they lost a lot.
I had Steph higher, I think, 4.5, 3-pointers.
He'd betrayed me.
He'd betrayed me. Did not.
Please let him come back in the game.
Steph finished the game with 23 points, 4 assists, and three steals.
Jimmy Butler led the Warriors with a team high 31 points,
going 16 for 16 from the line.
And after getting the start at Power 4,
Jonathan Caminga came on strong in the second half,
finishing with 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.
So, good, I see you in the Luca jersey.
Despite the loss, Luca Magic was on display.
Tried to put the team on his back.
Four to three points.
Twelve rebounds, nine assists.
Third most points in an opening night in Lakers' history.
Papad de Limon, Lemon Daddy, Austin Reeves, added 23, nine dimes, five boards.
DeAndre Aiton, only other Lakers are scoring double figures.
Ten points and six rebounds.
Oh, he got the ten?
He did get the ten.
Wow.
I won.
I had him at nine.
Excuse me, Austin Reed has had 26.
26 and 9.
26, 9 and 5, not 23, 26.
Apody Lamon, my apologies.
But Gil will start with you.
Biggest takeaway from the Warriors win over the Lakers
in their season opener.
Before we do, you've been a big fan of Slovenian Jesus.
There's been a lot of discourse.
Lebron being too old, he can move around.
Lakers don't need him.
Just with that in mind, please answer the question.
Like, come on, man, he had 43.
43.
Come on finish it.
Yeah.
That's going to be the next two games, 45, 47.
Yeah.
I know.
I'm loving it.
Yeah.
I'm loving this.
This reminds, you know what you just reminds us of, right?
Oh, go ahead.
That old was that?
That cold or what?
The couple of what?
Because the rest of the teammates look just like that team did.
No.
Yeah.
No, not a limit, daddy.
You're right.
They didn't have a limit, daddy.
But on the Golden State side.
Jimmy Butler playing exactly like that changes, it changes them.
Because what Golden State Strogernaut was actually getting to the free throw line, right?
They don't get to the free throw line because they're all jump shooters.
And the style that he plays is he knows how to get filed.
So they had, what, 25 yesterday?
Between him and Steph, they had what?
What?
How many free throws he had?
29?
He shot 24, I believe.
24.
He was 16.
The rest of the team shot five.
Damn.
So you take him out, they lose the game because they don't know how to get to frivolize.
So how Jimmy played is how you're supposed to play.
Like I like this Jimmy Butler, right?
If I'm them, say it.
When you want to take that joint to the next level, you don't need to Pizzinski end with that starting
line.
I'm sorry.
He's a six man.
Get that shit out your brain.
He's a starting shooting guard.
He is...
No, you need him.
No, you don't.
No, you don't.
I'm just saying, what you want to do?
You want him and your...
Buddy Hill.
No, buddy Hill.
No, here's why.
Pisinski is not a catching shoot guy.
He wants to play with the ball.
He is Jordan Poole.
He needs to pop it.
Right?
So because he needs to play with it, he needs to do this.
Like, you treat him like T.J. McCahill and all of them.
When you come in, the ball runs through you.
Do you.
Do you?
Do you.
do he's a ball stopper you know you have that in the pass and move you just need another
just flat-out shooter because you know what buddy's gonna do with it just put it up day the reason
they went on that is because a buddy hill came in hitting that shit veneers he ain't gonna be able to put
him up when he out there with stuff and yeah i just need a i just need a catch and shoot guy this man
wants to dribble the ball he passes but it runs through who but they're dropping decoy out there
you just gonna be i'd rather have a six in the corner but when buddy he'll come in his shots mean
and they're big when he make them.
Like last night, they was killers.
Oh, that shots coming in and off the bench.
Those shots hurt.
And who was he in there with?
Pizigas, whatever his name, ain't going to do that.
For Zing.
So that's why you put it in his case.
Oh, he's just going to be having five points off the bench.
He got five.
He got five.
Buddy Hill would not average 17 with him.
Buddy Hill, 17 points off the bench, five percent of course.
He's going to get so many, he becomes more dangerous.
There's so many wide-open looks.
Yes.
Because now, now, now when him and step, like, you're treating him like, play.
You got to make him.
come together and they pop out, you treat him like he's Clay.
When him and Pazenki come out, all I knew is, as long as Pazinski pops,
you know he's going to first, what, pump fake, then dribble, then do the screen.
I got not scared of that shit no more.
That's all he's going to lose.
It's slowing down the offense, too, when he does that.
Because they're such a fast-faced team.
He's kind of scored, though.
Pajifke said he wants to carry the torch once Stefan, Grandma retired, also said his goal
is to be at Steph level.
He had said both of those things.
But he just stopped.
That left that style of life.
No, who said that?
We all, he hoped.
We all have wishful thoughts and thoughts.
I would have said him that day.
He's hopeful that he could.
That's the only thing.
That's the only thing I'm like, that lineup where it's, you know where a hope worked.
I was, I was waiting for a good line.
Yeah.
That's going to be their new death.
If they get Buddy Hill and that, if they get Buddy Hill and that start one up, they're going to start.
Like even just the, just the end, just Buddy Hill.
Leisure 2, Steph, Draymond, Kaminga, and our Horford.
No, no, no.
Jimmy Butler.
Oh, Jimmy Bowler.
There's nothing.
There's nothing.
Because all Jimmy Butler is going to do is take that.
He's going to take his man, start getting that mid-range, start pumping, and doing all this.
You try to double, you got all shooters around.
That's a nice five.
And everybody in your start line up is a threat.
Yep.
So we're going to talk Warriors at length shortly, but let's first address the elephant in the room,
Elephant in the room. Lakers lost their season opener for the ninth time in the last 10 years.
Damn.
It's just one game.
It's just an opener.
But Fresh off signing his three-year extension in the dominant performance in Eurobasket,
Luca gave Lakers fans some reason for optimism in the future, the 43-piece near triple-double.
I see you in the Luca jersey.
What were your impressions of Luca in his first season opener with the Los Angeles Lakers without LeBron James?
Who, some of you guys said, could move around.
It very well may be doing so if the Lakers keep playing like this.
I want to go to a winner
It looked bad, right
Lou GM, this is the Lou GM Lakers
Not the lay GM Lakers
It looked bad last night
Did you see Pre-season?
I was forced to watch some of them
Yeah, so you watched Prezsson
You don't lose the Warriors like that
Who lost to the Warriors?
The Lakers
That man had 43
He won't
That man had 43
Sometimes you got to ditch the team
And just shoot for the players
okay right you know how like Dallas Cowboys they record some bad and be like oh
dax's MVP that is that's the same thing here man like Lucas MVP candidate right now
right first game opener 43 lead the league is going that's what you take away from this right
if you want me to talk about the other players like i wasn't watching them man did they look like
they did they still look like they in preseason but we got jake from state farm oh look
He looked like he from saying he needs insurance.
Oh, hey, Marcus.
Marcus, Mark.
I like that shit.
Listen, when you got, when you're going against it, you don't like it.
The flavor.
I don't like that.
On the team, I like, hey, I'm sorry, Gabe.
No, I'm sorry, Gabe.
Like, you can head to the bench, brother.
You can head to the bitch, brother.
What you're doing out there?
I don't know.
Marcus needs to start.
Mark, my brother, my bad, right?
I was thinking about, you know, you with the boss and selling things doing that.
You hid now, man, I need my 36.
I got to put on the place.
Marcus Martin needs to, Marcus, start.
Yes, he needs to start.
Like, he just does things that just you can't equate.
I like, I know.
You can't.
Nine points had two offensive foul.
They caught offensive fouls on, Steph.
Don't do that again.
This is our third episode.
Fuck it.
It's free season for me right now.
Don't do that.
Oh, stop.
You know, Seth, don't get off.
That was thing.
Steppe don't get off.
Let's address this bad-ass joke Josiah.
Oh, let's hear.
That was not a joke.
That shit was terrible.
I was merely rhyming.
That shit was terrible.
That shit was terrible.
The chat was impressed by it.
No, that was not.
We put up a poll.
We asked the chat if they liked it.
No, you didn't put a poll up their ass, motherfucker.
95%.
I voted them, took it down.
Five thousand, eight, five thousand three quarters.
You see what he was doing.
That was in a second.
No, but I'm saying, you would see what he was doing to
to step, chokeholding him and stuff.
Like, like, he didn't care.
He didn't care.
that was Steph. I like that.
Yo, who do the new white boy y'all got there playing over Daughter Connect?
Y'all got another white boy y'all playing over Dawton.
Jake LaRovey.
We're playing everybody over Dawton's Connect.
Why?
Because we traded him to Charlotte.
He's still here, though.
No, what I'm saying is he can just put the Charlotte uniform on at this point.
Because we, you know what I mean?
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
If you ain't get the memo, we traded you.
If Austin Reeves took their headband off, y'all put them all three out there.
You wouldn't know who was you know.
Like at this point, like, I know, now I know why they've traded you.
Huh, you're still over there.
You might as well just come in there with you.
Do your J.R. Rye.
I got my Laker jersey on with my Charlotte Pans.
You get the Tennessee hat.
Just wear anything at this point.
Hey, we asked the chat to repress by my rhyming skills.
You heard about that story, right?
And nearly 50% work.
Nearly 50% of work.
I thought it was going to be 90.
Two people voted.
You told somebody.
You just text somebody told me.
800, 8.9, you heard about that, right?
When JR Ryder came to the arena,
he had on his later shorts
with the blazer top.
No way.
That's sick.
Yeah, he's different.
Yeah, Timberwolves on their waist.
Different.
Just wore every team.
Every team playing for him, but he was,
he came to the arena trying to kid in the game.
Like, oh, shit, we got the wrong shorts.
I was like, yeah, man.
He don't even know where he?
That dope was strong.
Hey, Derrider used to be in the hood with the Bentley.
No, facts.
Yeah, facts.
They were different.
Swetlander, Sergio de Cheney sweatshook in the belt.
Nobody was going to tell him not.
The heart of the hood.
He got the, he got the, Lake of Shores right on, just.
I had to go up in the, uh, up in the project in LA.
Goring Downs right behind the Julie.
I had to go.
Ooh.
Yo, so what was the question?
I don't even know.
You asked about how.
I don't know, but I, we stopped because Josiah said that bullshit.
Hey, okay, I'm
90% of people on the chat.
They're corny too.
It's a good chat.
That ain't corny too.
That shit was corny.
A very mean.
You ain't going to disrespect my leg.
I'm a corny man.
Well, I'm glad me.
You said that I did.
I know.
You said that I did.
I know my limitations.
We ain't bashing the leg.
So go to state.
Because we only got like 30 minutes.
So just go straight to go to state.
We do not have, we have as much time as we need here on Gil's arena.
We need here on Gil's arena.
By a hundred dog, who, whoa.
So yeah, just go to state.
So what did you think about them go to states?
No, we're going to talk.
Oh, we got Lucas, Luca Magic.
It's the Luca era.
40-year-old can beat it.
Last night was exactly what.
Luke's Magic.
No, the Lakers are cooked.
No.
It's the Luca era.
Slovenian Jews.
We don't need Bronny or Bronny.
The Lakers don't have a row number two.
Hey, um, yo.
You're talking about Aiton.
Hey, um, Gil.
Aiton can know somewhere.
Gil.
I know he had 43 right he did double double almost triple double but them last five six possessions of the game on the other end of the flow
right did you see that shit nah my well i'm just tell you right now my tv well guess what maybe if he was
only stuck on that side before we have to jack you the playback frame they put him in every action
other end. And they got every shot they wanted on the other end. Hey, for one, he don't talk.
If he is talking, he's communicating the wrong thing. He's out of position. He's old laying
motherfuckers. It was real bad for like five, six straight possessions. It was like, yeah, but you can't
take him out. Right? It was that bad. Like, if he wasn't, if he didn't have the offensive
game, he was going, it was one of those situations you would have been like, damn, JJ, just going
leave my dad. Like, he, it was like, it was bad.
I know that, but it was bad. You know what I mean? Like, you ever, you ever
recorded your kids? Right? I, I did that with his defense. Like, you had the camera
over here. You just get one side. You just get one side. I'm just getting off
yourself. You watch you with jobs, but Jill won the camera to pick it up. That's funny. That's
funny. That's funny. I don't have that. It looks. It looks. It looks bad.
But I was just like, yeah, he's doing it, man.
I was like, yeah, you don't, yeah, you don't have no.
It's the same thing.
Yeah, it was, it was a long guy off the bench.
The walk they ran into each other at the top when he didn't caught.
They ran into each other at the top of the key.
So Steph was screening his own man.
And he screamed Vincent, screened Vincent, and him and Luca just, and Steph turned to go on.
I was like, yo.
That was one even worse.
You see that play?
Same thing in Dallas.
They set a pick on Draymond Green.
Dremont Green drove the lane by himself.
You're not going to switch it.
You're not going to go to show.
What is this?
Hey, can you, being around somebody that's drinking Hennessy watching Luca play defense?
VsOPP?
Yeah, I got VsOP in my house.
That Brown Express?
Yeah, I got VSOP in my house, not the VS, but he would drink VS if it was there.
Don't get me wrong.
But the person drinking VASOP, drinking Hennessy, and just on Luca asked the whole time,
Like, I won't tell him, shut the fuck up, but he was right.
But he was right, but he was right.
Right.
And he was on Luke ahead the whole fucking time.
Like, man, look at this shit.
Like, yo, yeah, you're right.
Like, no, I was Aiden here, right.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
Aiden?
You seen that shit?
If Aiden's still the center by the end of the season, some room.
I'd rather, what's the other one we got?
Yeah, Jackson has.
And Matt, y'all.
He needs to learn from Hedkinson.
I can't grow hair.
My shit don't grow like that no more
What color is that boy hair?
Reddish.
What color was that?
What color was that?
What color was that?
Man, that's that shit, man.
That's that shit.
He'd been in Hollywood too much.
Is it the braids?
I was trying to figure the color out.
He didn't came to LA and was straight up the hills.
It's an island.
He landed in LA and went up them hills.
That's the only thing that's wrong.
It's like that red brown.
It was in this damn mind.
I'm trying to figure it out.
Like, so let me have a lot.
I got another question.
Now, this is, we're off topic.
So, there are no topics on this show.
We're good talking.
So, looking presentable on national television
don't mean anything to people anymore.
How about opening date?
Who are you referred to?
There was a multiple to the motherfuckers out there.
It was a number of motherfuckers out there that just said,
that first game.
Yeah, hey.
They didn't even conch.
You just got knott ball.
Just comb it.
Just, just, just.
Just, just.
I just.
You're supposed to get a haircut first.
First game, but see the opening day
you're on that stuff. Is that not a thing?
You got to.
You got to.
You thought that was first, though.
Listen, you're supposed to get your shit braided day.
He thought that was fresh.
You're supposed to wear your du rag all day.
Shoot around coaching.
They came where a du rag.
Find me.
Game start.
Hey, I'm not taking this du rag off before that.
Listen, I'm taking that bitch off as we running out the tunnel.
Yeah.
I got the lines to the cross.
Man, we're not.
Yeah, that's the only thing that's the bad.
That shit is wild to me, man.
You come to the Laker.
You think about other.
this stuff outside. Like, he probably like, though, if I wear these braids, that's yellow,
get a deal outside. I'm telling you, I'm telling you what happened.
At least get them fresh. If he was going to have, he went up hills, man. I'm asking, man,
I'm talking, like, my partner in the game, like, yo, like, dudes don't care no more?
You know, San Francisco Boulevard.
Wait, hold on. 10.6 rebounds, 5% from the field?
I'm, I'm just be honest.
What?
Mm.
I was calling them all kind of Kwami Brown.
Me too.
No, not Kwame.
Not Kwame.
No, and I'm sorry.
I thought you was playing that bad.
Yeah.
Now, you win five for seven.
Five for seven.
No, I'm saying, you won five for seven.
I really thought this was like a one for eight, one for nine.
I promise you.
The way it looked.
It looked bad.
Like, I didn't realize he was only five or seven.
He only missed two shots.
But the way it looked horrible.
It was the third option.
The way it was looking at the picture.
The way it was looking.
It looked like he was having a horrible go at it.
It's like why y'all keep giving him the ball, like travel, miss shot,
like, and y'all going to keep going down there?
He admitted after the game he had any problems.
It's a problem.
He's confused about picking.
Dick, he liked the pot.
You like the pot without pick.
Nick, what is the pot without pick?
Nick said, if you can't pop, if you think, if you're going to tell you.
Man, I tried to tell you all.
You tried to tell you.
He said, if you can't just.
Austin Reed said he made the wrong.
wrong pass at the right time.
Oh, but did you see Jackson Hayes get
easy dunks and shit? I said, why he can't
roll like that? Because he's never
did that. That's why you need training camp.
Nah, man, come on.
I don't let me get back to a pick and roll.
Getting our practice with Luca or LeBron
right now. Yeah, I'm about saying a pick and roll
a pick and roll to the basket.
You don't do that. If you can't do that, then your ass don't need to be in the
league like you said. He wants you to throw him the ball where he
is wild to me, right?
He is going to roll to a certain pull.
And if you don't throw it, right?
Yep, he ain't going all the way.
Where he can shoot that looos.
He is not, that that shit crazy to me.
But you, the reason you need to practice it is, it's important.
If he's never practiced with Luca, he don't know Lucas Stuyler.
He's over here practice with Gabe Vincent.
Hey, M.G, what I say?
Gabe Vincent, come off, hit him in the pocket.
Oh, hit him in the pocket.
Oh, now he do that picking roll with Luca.
He'll do all this stuff and do all that.
He's sitting in.
If you don't understand.
If you don't understand.
If you don't understand.
You know what I mean?
Lucas' game is so different.
Like, that's the problem.
You are not playing with the main guy to know his style.
That is the problem.
Hey, what you say he should have got the ball and did with it
when he caught in the middle of the rim,
and I said, no, that was a good shot for him.
What you say he should have did?
Dunk, the one you said he should have dunk from the dots.
Yeah, so he got in the middle of the dot.
He's like, man, if you don't dunk the ball from there,
I said, oh, he ain't doing that.
Right?
Because he said, no, I said, like, I used to work on the little floater from me as well.
And I had that.
He said, no, if you catch the ball, though, you're dunking that.
Yeah.
I said, yeah, probably so, but he's not, he's going to stop that motherfucker and shoot a jump shot.
Fade away, too.
At seven and a half feet.
Like, dude.
Come on, bro.
That's nasty.
That's mad.
Even with Luca.
But you're not getting that pass.
You're not getting that pass with Luca.
Luke is not setting a pick doing that.
Right.
Luca, if you know, if he know Luca game, go to the roof.
Yeah.
You know that.
Go to the rim.
But he don't go to the rim, so he never practiced with Luca.
There's nobody who he's been playing with never played like Luca to know how to do that.
Man, he don't need a guy to play like Luca to go to the hole.
You see the ball in here.
He's been playing with dudes that's going to put the ball in here.
You did a piggy roll with me.
You go to the hole.
Am I giving it to you?
Okay.
How you rolled to the hole?
I don't care how you roll.
No, what I'm saying is no matter, you roll to the rim, everybody's different.
No, it's not.
If you roll it to the rim and I'm driving, God.
God damn get the rebound.
Get a tip dunk or something.
No.
Because I'm going there.
Like, I want the pick and pop.
Right?
That pick, you pick and roll down the same lane I'm trying to get to.
We got a problem.
Why you think I grabbed it inside?
When I do the pick, I grab the inside of your leg so I can, I can and go.
And then so if you was, if you was Antoine Jameson, Jameson, you, you don't matter because I'm helping you roll and I can pass it.
What Jackson Hayes, I would Hayes do then?
He was catching.
He goes.
He was catching lies.
Isaac.
But that's his game.
But that's his game.
That's his game.
That's his game.
Piss, run.
Like everybody who played with Luca before.
Pick run.
So Aiden never called a lot.
So how was he playing with CP3?
Yeah.
He never spent seven feet all his life.
I picked C.
No, CP want to be hitting right there.
And he's going to throw that boom boy and hit you in the pocket.
So now he's saying Aiden never called a lot.
Right?
Not enough.
He never rolled in live than done.
Not enough.
He's been seven foot for seven, seven some years.
How old is he, 25?
He been seven foot for 10 years.
Okay, let's try this way.
Who is this big man?
27 years, though.
Did Gaffrey get lobs?
Gaffin and Lively?
Lively.
They both did.
They both got lobs.
So both of them got lobs when they rolled.
Both of them.
Okay.
Now, Hayes, what do you get?
Lod.
Labs.
Now, ask that question again.
Coloco.
Coloco get lobs, right?
So what is Aiton doing,
that the other one?
ain't doing.
Yeah, not going
not presenting this over the first.
Because obviously, if the rest of him
is, if that's their game, if he had
Capella, what's Capella going to get?
I would love to be in that motherfucking position.
I know what he is, but if that's not
what he wants to do, he ain't going to do.
I can go do it off the couch.
Man.
That's the other thing.
If he's telling him, Roe,
why don't you do it?
Are you just that dumb?
So you, that's what I'm saying.
I like he did.
I like to roll in pot.
I mean, like, if you're not mature or something, like,
I'm like to roll him, do you not understand?
He won't.
He wants you to throw him the ball where he won't.
We can do that.
That's boy in the game, though, to get you some easy ones.
Can you roll?
Do I look like, do I look like Alvin Hayes?
Hey, I hear you.
Yeah, I got you, I got you, I got you.
I'm the number one picking the drive.
Do I listen?
We're on the timeout.
What you do?
We're in the timeout.
Just say it again.
All right, we just got you two.
Now, I need you to roll.
I got you, I got you.
I got you.
Is it?
Is it the braids?
Is it the braids?
Is it the braids?
I got it.
I got it.
I'm going to scream you, I'm a roll.
Is it the braids?
That's just, I got you.
I got you.
Hey, I'm a short roll.
I want the ball where I want it.
That's just some dude, they stubborn in that way, dude.
Like, you guys do come off the pick.
Hey, though, I need you to curl that.
I need you to curl that.
I need you to curl that.
I need you to curl it.
Popping every time.
I want you to throw it to me so I can,
huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, huh.
Like, this stuff.
shit right you you you you see in the play listen he's trailing you out dog curle it
I'm gonna hit you this motherfucker every time come off that bitch pop it because
he won't they I want that it was a way hey was boss it down I can put aiding back in
I need my point we had a caram bulla right karam pop boom gonna give you the pass
where crime gonna get it pump fake pump fake ha ha
pump fake shoot the same shot why I don't we go wait till you come fuck my assistant
No, because he was a rhythm player.
He was a rhythm player.
So the funny part is he was a flat-out shooter, but you wouldn't know he shot
that good, just catch a shoot because he felt comfortable.
Yeah, I got it besides this thing, man.
Getting into his rhythm and then shooting.
Okay, he wanted to.
So no matter how wide open he went, unless he was wide, wide open where he should,
other than that he wanted the rhythm.
Yeah, it's a rhythm thing, man, but yeah.
Some people, that's his rhythm.
He wants to catch it.
Dude, until you, like, you got to really make, like, you know how to get it going.
It'll be for JJ to, like, really blow a gasket, right?
Just like, listen, dude, I need you on the rim.
Like, listen, in order for me to play you, I need, this is like, it has to be demanded in the film.
It has to be put away that you make us a better team if you're doing both.
I'm not telling you not to catch the ball where you want to catch them.
But you got to do both.
Give me both.
Give me both.
Give me fucking savvy.
30, 64, like, cool, I throw it to you six times where you want it if you give me four
times on the rim.
You probably don't get it four times on the rim, but I need you to act like, because you
make us a better team.
You collapse the defense when you do that.
People get wide over threes on the weak side.
It's a lot that comes with you rolling all the way to the basket and creating the problem.
Yeah, it's, and he still has that number one.
He has that, just give it to me in a post syndrome, right?
And he want to create his own offense because that's what he's.
He's not used to.
He's never used to just being that, I'm going to roll down.
So it's new to him, but...
Yeah, he got to tell him.
You got 10 last night, but...
If you roll every time, you got 16, 18.
It's easy work for it.
Easy work.
Yeah, how many years is he in?
Yeah, I'm about saying.
He got traded out of Phoenix for not rolling like that.
No, no.
He didn't move.
He didn't move.
He was the number one picking Luke and them driving from now.
He wanted the ballpoint and they were like, hell no.
Get about here.
Yeah, so he was the first team at that drive.
I average 18.
Yeah.
I need more touches.
That's how I think they might do it.
I think they might do it.
But I'm not.
But I'm not.
Eighth.
But they're better.
I mean, I, watch.
Yeah.
Because LA.
L.A.
Just imagine if he got on the rim, he had seven.
Look, five out of seven.
Yeah.
You get on the rim.
You get two more lobs.
That's three lobs a game.
That's ten shots.
Now you're seven for ten.
You eight for ten.
And you shoot well from the free throw line.
Now you create more problems and opportunities for it.
So it's, it's game.
It's game one.
Let's not make a big deal about game one.
No, we have to.
I'm not.
We got to.
We have to.
No.
Because every 10 and 6th in game one could have played better,
LeBron makes it easy.
Listen, all that Laker cook and cooking and cooking and stuff.
Listen, you're talking to someone who don't care.
The Lakers is cooked, though.
This is going to be the same Dallas Maver's team before K.D.
I mean, before, uh, before Kari came over there,
you know what this is going to look like.
We're going to, when Bronn come back,
ain't going to be the fourth option.
Listen, what I'm saying.
By the time LeBron come back, by the time LeBron come back,
we're going to have a player in there that's probably average in 40, right?
That means you're going to have to talk about them every day.
And he's going to be glorified everywhere.
Jersey is going to be selling, right?
We're going to be winners no matter what, bro.
Okay?
We're going to be winners no matter what.
So high school team made a teammate of mine lives in Portland, right?
Remember I told his last year he was like, then he just didn't want to play.
He could have got the end of the same person.
So prep just text me.
tell him that cat Ait and don't
did the same shit with the blazers
while you're in Portland
that nigga ain't going for no lobs
all picking pop
he's not
lob and set out the prep
look at this Lake Carolina
they are cooked
dude
the center
you're a fourth option
then when Braun come back
all that 40 average
oh my God
we're about that's 25
we know how this going to get
now y'all need Braun
three points and three shots
now everybody need Brown
Yeah, the Lakers need Brondon.
Oh, training, we don't need him.
We got Luka.
Oh, okay.
They might be seven.
And Brown will come back.
Vanders.
I'm just telling you.
Who vando?
You don't like Vando no more?
The Vandalorian.
To do what?
You could do what?
Vincent and fucking Ruffel call it doing, smart.
Run up and down the floor.
I don't like that.
I don't like that.
All that Luka MVP shit down.
All that just, he's the reason stuff got going.
Steph had like, what, five points before?
Try the body slam.
We have 40, 40, 43, 12 and 9?
When Brian come back
But that was, it was glorious to watch.
43, 12, or not.
It's not just not the game.
It doesn't look at this thing.
This is, this is.
It doesn't look like Kobe's.
43 first game.
Yeah, he's going to average 35, man.
He don't look like Kobe's.
Because if Bronon don't come back to November.
If Bronn out another month,
this boy going to be on the uncle.
Horridor.
Yeah, but he could average.
Yeah.
No, no.
Listen, he can average all that.
All he won't.
But they're still going to be in the middle.
See, you keep trying to do that team shit.
Stop doing that team stuff.
It is team sick, no.
It is team sick.
Because then we're not going to be at
talk about the Lakers at all come the whole season.
We will figure out of the way.
We will find the word.
36, 37.
They ain't going to be in the middle.
They're going to be in the middle.
They're going to be in the middle.
Listen, they're going to be who they're
going to have been late.
They've been seven.
They have been seven consistently
for the last three, four, five years.
They've been at seven.
Yeah.
Looked up.
two ones, but they've been sapped.
We were three last year.
You see them teams that played before?
Y'all lucked up as a tiebreaker.
You see them teams that played before that game?
Y'all should have been set up.
Y'all would have been better for y'all.
Y'all, y'all got three and got that motherfuck y'all.
Y'all played Minnesota at six.
And they motherfucker did that thing, y'all.
A competitive period.
We played them Friday.
We played them Friday.
A competitive series that doesn't indicate how competitive was that year?
No, it was not.
We play the Woods Friday.
Oh, no, it's going to be fun.
They had your bed tape angles to stop for, bro.
He don't come back to November, boy.
Hey, man having a album release party out here on Friday.
Because the Lakers got who, Ant Man Friday, that's the loss.
Ant Man is having an album release party here on Friday.
And Lugan going to have 50.
And?
Ant man is having an album release party.
He's dropping an album after the game.
And Lugo are going to drop a 50 on.
Yeah, yes, yes.
He's going to drop a 50 on them.
That's not disrespectful on them.
Disrespectful it is playing the Lakers
They're going to be at that after party
He'll be going
And I'm going to beat it with the ass on life
I'd be like man
That 40 bar you had was nice brother
You know he's going for 40 that day
For sure
Yeah the league better look out
Friday the Friday the ladies
He was winning
Listen he was winning last night
He had 43
And them the Kobe first 13 games
33 39
37 37 37
28 17 18
42 36 43
34, 46, 25.
It's when to be that.
Nobody, no, no, the record.
Kobe went to the playoffs.
No, there was five and eight.
Nobody can.
Nobody can, bro.
That's it does.
That's it does.
I do.
MVP, MVP.
It looked different.
No, no, hell, no.
It looked different, bro.
It looked different, bro.
Everybody out there looking at the rest of that roster like.
Come on, bro.
You know that, you can't even compare it on points to each other.
Well, guess what?
We're about to.
You can't see it.
Because he's going to do it.
I don't disrespect that.
It wasn't.
I don't disrespect that, man.
This is the Smush Department of Kwame Brown.
I'm with somebody with a black mother right now.
Let me hear, let me tell you, listen to the lineup.
Zach Array's, the five men.
What's the five in there?
You had Chris Mim at the five, right?
You had Smush.
It went to, right?
You had Kwame Brown at the four.
Right?
You had, at the three,
Luke Walden.
And you still took the number one of Phoenix.
Who took the outside shot?
Who he passed?
Who he passing it to?
But you don't know why he had an assess.
There ain't nobody getting the ball on his team.
He ain't got that team, though.
No, but what I'm saying, that's it.
That was a nasty five.
That's a nasty five.
And they still win, what, five with the Phoenix?
Five.
What?
What I'm saying is, what I'm saying is,
the beginning of the season, the beginning of that season,
It was MVP.
That's the year everybody said he got robbed for the MVP.
What year was this again?
Because they made the playoffs.
Yeah.
Nobody cared about that team.
We didn't a playoff run, though.
What year was this deal?
05.06.
Kobe had 81.
0506.
When he average 35?
Yeah.
Lamar?
Lamar?
You got to think about that team here.
Brian Cook.
Brian Cook.
Cookie?
Cookie was on that team.
Lamar, Smush, Kwami, Chris Minve.
George, Lou Walton.
The Marr and Dr.
Mark was the second option.
So, the more was the four.
It could be Kwame and Chris.
That was a fun Kobe to watch.
Right?
He came off the bench up.
Yeah.
They were trying.
No, he started.
Is that both with the time?
Amar started.
All 80 games.
Chris Memes and Kwame was switching back.
Yeah.
He started 49.
Chris Mim started up 56.
And then started what?
Luke walked in both sides.
They started six games.
Okay.
They played both sides.
They looked different.
You can't compare to two, bro.
Are you?
You're not listening.
What I'm saying is they was losing.
No one cared because he was on a tear.
Yes.
But the tear is different.
And that's all he cared about was the tear.
I don't want you, once he got the ball,
the other four we didn't care about.
Like you see how I sound?
I don't care about who who lose the playing with.
I don't care who Lucas playing with right now.
We lose the game.
He got 40.
We won.
Well, that shit looks like Cam Thompson.
We ain't worn.
That's Cam Thomas.
It's a lose win.
Hey, forgive it's a lose win.
You think Philly should look at that record with Alan Ivers and average in 33, like,
we 0 for 12, we ain't showing up?
Hell no.
They went to the play.
One year.
What they made?
One year.
Every year.
Every year is playing.
Every year.
Every year.
They owe and nine.
What the, MVP.
MVP.
They, oh, they've done lost nine straight.
The whole crowd was.
MVP.
He is the MVP.
He is the MVP.
He looked like Kim Thomas.
Nobody cared about the record like that on some of these days.
He looked like Cam Thomas out there right now.
If you want him to do.
He's Brooklyn.
He looked like Cam Thomas, but he had 43, 12, and 9.
That's the difference.
He's Brooklyn.
Nine assists.
He's going to take Cam four games and getting nine.
That game was so slow out there.
He made it selfish.
Look different.
Listen, take him four games and nine.
You know what it is, man.
Which one of these, which one of these number?
one options, man, pissed you off, man.
Because you all...
It's like...
It looked different.
I can think of one.
No, I'm passing the ball.
He only got the ball because of me,
hey, come off the crew, we're going to kill D. Wade.
We're going to kill D. Wade.
Yeah, you don't know about him.
Yeah, you don't know about him.
Yeah, you don't know about him that, dude.
Which one made you talk?
So, you keep going to that one game.
No, they're every game.
Y'all play a lot of game together.
That's the game you keep representing, like,
you're just the one game that you passed me to him before.
Because you want to piss Dway it off.
Now, you remember, I was hurt this.
So I couldn't do it, so I had to live through him.
Because I was there, if I put Antoine Caruana number one,
for sure, for sure, for sure.
So which one of these guys made you hate?
No, no, you just look bad.
You hate the star and you really roll with these, you really roll over these sides.
Six straight plays.
He's picking on him.
Like, that don't, Kobe played defense, too.
It looked like.
You're not talking about the deal.
I'm talking about what my star made him.
That would make the game.
It looks exciting.
Okay, Kobe.
The game, look, they get blue by it, then it come down.
Yeah.
Kobe Brung, both sides.
Kobe Brung now.
Cool.
This is not going to happen.
Mine, he brings his year old style.
Who's the magic?
He gets bumped, he do something.
Hey, man, what the fuck we pay?
Hey, we got, we got, uh.
Hey, can come down looking stupid.
Listen, I'm trying to play.
We got, we got, we got Markets smart to play defense.
They do everything.
Yo.
I need you to switch.
I need you to go on.
I need you to, I need you to flop.
I need to get back up.
You want to be met a rest of the lead, better get some sleep.
I'm tell you right now.
You better get some rest.
Because he is going to, I'm telling you, man, why that man is out.
You know they got.
Good luck.
Last time I heard somebody say that, get some sleep before a season,
when my rookie year, and Gil was playing.
And Scott Scott was right after the training camp.
He was like, hey, Rook, man, you better go get you NBA TV and get you some good rest.
I hope you saw that Gilbert Arena shit yesterday.
That's the last time I heard somebody say that before the season.
You better get some good sleep, brother.
But did y'all see what they did the show?
Yesterday?
I'm telling you, man.
In the first quarter, sending two people out.
When everybody goes through?
43 game one?
I know that.
All you got to do it.
But it's double overtime.
That's fair.
Alright, let's keep this thing moving.

Shout out to Rough Greens for sponsoring today's show.
Sometimes in life, if you want to get to the truth, you've got to look at the numbers.
Unfortunately, 50% of all dogs over 10 years old will die of cancer, and the other 40% to 50% will suffer miserably from skin issues or joint problems.
And this is widely attributed to your dog's diet.
These numbers are what inspired Dr. Dennis Black to create Rough Greens.

No, I use rough greens with one of my dogs.
Something positive.
You know how you say you got a little white stuff all over his face?
Hey, Ian, can you put that picture up with my dog with the white stuff all over his face?
Oh, here you go.
Oh, that's a rough green.
Spons about rough greens.
Ah!
All right, well.
That brings a Hennessy, boy.
Let's talk a little warriors.
Let's talk a little warriors.
We talked Lakers more than we wanted.
Can we hear it one more time?
Can we hear it one more time?
That shit funny.
I ain't got a lot of.
Let's talk to the Warriors.
We talked about this briefly earlier,
but Jimmy Buckets led the Warriors are scoring in this game 31 points.
So, Gil, last week you said Butler wasn't a true number two option
because he tried to facilitate too much.
he got to work in this game
lived up to his Jimmy Bucket's nickname
albeit getting the majority of his buckets
at the charity stripe
Warriors were plus 20
with Jimmy Butler on the court
minus 10 with him on the bench
how dangerous is this warrior squad
with Jimmy Butler being this aggressively
offensively? I mean I like it
I guess
how Katie started off game one
here I think that's how Jimmy was
you know
coming into last year
right had the bad
ending in Miami
came here and he
tried to fit in
he didn't want to
rough for any feathers
and I think
being with them a year
going through training camp
whatever that is
they got now
I think he really knows
what he needs to do
and it showed
I mean God damn
you know coming out
game one
I mean just
purely dominant
I mean
who
if that's what
he's bringing
even, it don't even have to be that aggressive.
Just aggressive enough for you to be the number one option or number two option.
Shit, even a strong number three.
If Kamenga's playing how he's playing right there, that day, they're going to be a threat
because you have one guy who demands your attention the whole game while he's on it
because he doesn't rest.
And, you know, with those guys going, it's going to be dangerous.
And it takes a lot of pressure off stuff with a regular season too when he's playing like that.
If you can get playoff Jimmy during a regular season, oh man, you have a chance to really, you know, surprise a lot of people in the standings.
You know, Kamenka last night he played, that's the first time he played, looked like he was just having fun.
I mean, of course he got paid, so, but I feel like, you know, him getting paid and knowing that he's going to be there, you know, the reason why he was playing well too.
But yeah, if you can get those four guys, that core, because they all have experience of being in the finals and everything like that.
But I think the Warriors are going to surprise a lot of teams.
So Jimmy during his time in Miami, it said he doesn't kick it into full gear
until after an all-star break.
But now with the Warriors, he said he was happy to escape the chaos and drama of Miami
to be on the squad.
Obviously, he got his buddy healed on this team.
This appears to be in a much better head space coming into this season.
We talked about that last week, how he would approach it.
But Kenyon for you, what's it like to see playoff?
Jimmy Bucketts, excuse me, not playoff Jimmy.
Yeah, Jimmy Buckets.
This aggressive offensive, 31 p.
16 free throws?
No, we said last week that in order for them to be relevant and have a chance this
year, he has to play the way he has in the playoffs throughout the regular season.
Him averaging 15, 16, 17 points not going to cut it during the regular season.
If he's not flirting with a dub, 20, 21, 22 points a night, it's going to be a struggle
for the Warriors.
But for him to come out of this aggressive, we know to give his point.
point he made like he know he's going to get to the line he puts that kind of pressure on the
defense so yeah no it's it's a welcome insight for Warriors fans I'm sure for him to come
out and have that kind of performance in game one being this what they thought they were
getting in the playoffs last year of course it was a small sample size but them summer together
training camp together being there for a whole season for him to be this aggressive and I
heard that him and him and draymond got a bet that he's going to shoot a higher free throw
percentage than step so currently tied after one game step hey bray jimmy but so yeah then they
asked not a chance yeah that's a great bet though so but for that to be a thing that means he's
going to be aggressive yeah so that's a good thing for the team so yeah i could tell they've been
like that they had like a team meeting or some they've been together talk to them you could tell how
comfortable he look, how comfortable buddy looked.
They had one, they look famous.
Like, they like to do, like, the skate room and stuff, meetings, and shit.
They go to a skate room, and then they had, like, team pow-outs and stuff like that.
So, you can tell they've been together how comfortable he looked, for sure.
Like, you've done escape rooms before?
Yeah, I didn't do shit, so.
Not done anything.
I like Jimmy and Buddy's relationship.
Yeah, that's what I say.
You can tell they hang out.
They make the energy there, like welcoming to come to work day because of the environment
so it's never a dull moment with those two from what you can tell from last year.
Now, they had an interaction on the sideline yesterday.
Jimmy had an end one or something.
He walked up and said something to buddy and they had a moment.
So, yeah, no, it's stuff like that, man, that vibrates through the whole team that, I'm saying.
You look happy.
And this summer, too.
Like if you saw them this
So let's talk comminga
Let's talk comming so after ending the season in the doghouse
And Steve Kurt making comments about being
Unable to find a fit for Camiga the Warriors starting line up
Appeared to be just a strong harm
Him to get a sign of that contract
So Kamen got that two year $48.5 million deal
Which is on part for the 5 for 120
that he was initially offered that he rebuked
I think he was going to get more bread
But looks solid to open the season
Has 17 points, 9 rebounds, 6 dimes
13 points in the third quarter
Wars went on a 19 run
to start the second half
to put the game out of reach.
So after the game, Steve Kerr prays
coming his maturity
while still pointing out
that he's only 23 years old
that he had a better sense
of what's needed now
compared to the past.
Oh.
Man, I thought it's Steve Kerr's shit.
Don't start this.
Steve Kerrman.
He matured now.
He'd be hanging with Jimmy.
So he matured in four months.
Yeah, yeah.
No, the matured.
Let's stop that shit.
The matured is this.
Yeah, he signed it.
Right?
Oh, you matured for signing that contract
Oh my God
The starter
He grew up so much
Like, come on man
He ain't
That's gonna get him a wife and kids
Now he matured so much
That's funny of yourself
Come on man
Like let's stop this man
Every since you signed that contract
You look mature
You signed that bullshit
You're all right now boy
You're our guy now
You're signed that deal
Steve stop that man
Don't do that
Don't do that Steve Kurt man
Don't do that man
Like that boy was the same
Hey
He looked the same as he did like
He changed his number right
Was he always number one?
No
No
He changed his number
So he changed his number
So he was double zero
So he changed his number
So I get it
Yeah
Hey
Actually he told y'all get that motherfucker
Way I ain't coming back
So they gave
They assigned double zero to somebody else
He was like
I'll take one
Your question for you
Zero versus double zero
Yeah, that's nasty
Like double zero is nasty
No, double zero is from
It's from above the room
It just looks like
Double zero is Kevin Duckworth
That's hey
Where my mind goes
So that's Coward
Every time I see double zero
I think of Kevin Duckworth
I don't know why
You know why
It's just nasty
Listen
The waist look
Yeah he was he was
I remember with a bad body
like he looked like he should have been wearing double zero like you know some people look
at you're like yeah he deserved that number like that nasty number he were like yeah that number
disgusting yeah that's a dude that go to cincinnati got like number 86 it's 85 i say no he
listen he got to change 65 like though he got the rim was cold though double z that's a movie
cool a lot of us get a lot of us he went to georstown they can't erase where we were
yeah georstown they can't erase where we were though but he said double zero nasty
But good to see him finding his fit with this squad now or Steve Kurt allowing him to
Yeah, just fit back into this.
Put it that way.
We knew it was his contract.
They were just harming him, you know.
And just make that obvious.
Like, because just being out there, you're going to average 18-7, you're going to have an opportunity of it and your number goes up.
And if you're trying to keep you at a lower number.
Because how he plays, you know, this is the deal we want.
They got the deal that they wanted.
If he would decide this at the beginning of the season, he was started last year.
It's crazy.
It's the same number
Like your value
What's the funny is
Lucky for him
It's not like they devalued him
They still gave him the same offer
That they were going to start him with
So even coming off the bench
It's not like they said
Oh yeah you came out of the bench
We're going to take more money away from you
It's like oh no we're going to give you the same deal
But do you want to start now
Yeah I want to start there you go
The deal allegedly designed to be able to be ripped up in the summer
With a new contract
able to be negotiated
Or they could try to move him before the deadline.
Oh, so he's planning for another deal.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, man.
Hey, look.
They're gonna look.
What y'all think?
Nah.
So if he average 23, didn't you tear it up?
If he averaged in 22, we're gonna be like, stop.
Let's give him more.
If he average in 20, we're gonna like, hey, man, look, we got a, we know we said that.
We got this new deal for you.
We can cut it up.
Or you can go play again, you, hey, remember that bitch?
You can go back to the bitch.
Remember that bitch?
You go back to the bitch.
You know, like that pop!
Hey, he's gonna look at it like this.
Nah, not.
He ain't a grown man.
Right?
You like that bitch?
You like that bitch?
I don't like that bitch.
We know what we're saying we were going.
No, no, no, I don't like that.
Please.
You want to go back to double zero, boy?
No, V average is about 21, 22.
You can't put him back there though.
You want to go?
You want to go to jail or you're going to extend them again?
You want to go to jail or you want to go home?
Yep.
Hey, you want to go to jail or you want to go home?
Oh.
But he was making some, like, good plays, too.
No, no, he was making some style of playing.
Listen, all those excuses were just because of the contract.
That's why it was like, you're sitting here talking shit about it,
but you ain't letting him go?
Right.
Right?
You want to sign him, so trust him.
Diminishing his value.
No, you're not.
But then once he signs that deal,
go ahead and go get it.
They want to keep.
They want to keep you.
That's my opinion.
That's all.
They ain't do.
They just, hey.
We want you for the number that we want you.
Yeah, not with the marketed victim.
Listen, they didn't want no free agents for a reason.
Right.
They had one.
Should we got one?
We got one right now.
He's 23.
He's 23.
They let him play like that.
They got a squad.
No, I like it.
They're going to be the sleeper in the West because nobody really talk about them.
That was my next question, Mr. B.
So heading to this season, much was made about the age of the Warriors roster with them being referred to as the Olden State Warriors, no jig.
Morris may have the oldest, biggest three in the league.
But Steph, Jimmy Buck is Draymond, show they can still get the job done.
Do you think people are sleeping on this warrior squad,
and do you think they have the ability to be a top four team in the West?
Tell them again.
I'll let you do it this, huh?
I don't mean it to be rude.
Tell them.
Say those names.
You said big three.
Say the names again.
No, you got a 10.
Jimmy, Bother, Draymond, Green.
No, we're in 2025.
Save the big three again.
I don't know what the 8th.
When that young niggas signed that deal.
We got a 10.
You can't say Big Team.
He was.
He is the big three.
That's the big three.
That's the big three.
But their championship experience.
He got moved to the folks.
So the big three is young and not old.
I know Draymond Green did what he did.
No, he's the backbone of the team, but he's not part of the big three.
That's your opinion.
Yeah, that's your opinion right there.
It brings a lot to this team.
But sure, he's a part of the big.
Impact beyond the trash.
You know big three is the big, the three.
I said they're a good team, though, overall.
Your two best offensive players and your best best.
I give you that.
They're a good team.
Yeah.
I think they'll be top three for sure.
I mean, they could.
I'm not going to go.
Because I like them more than Houston.
Top three where?
I like them more than Houston because they're more together than Houston.
And they got each row, they got a point guard.
They got...
They got to stay healthy.
They got Jimmy.
They got me.
I just...
I like you.
I like you.
They ain't got no bench though, man.
Warriors just...
Who?
Rock.
They got a bench.
I'm taking buddy over the Rockers, man.
They, they...
benched ain't dead. Two of them is out.
Man.
I'm trying to tell you.
The game would have been over.
Easton's out and Blackamow's out.
They didn't play.
I say, what?
Easton played.
He's what?
Tyreeston played.
Yeah.
He's to play 42 minutes.
Yeah, he was tripping last.
What did he do?
He's like, hey, I thought I was tripping.
Is something wrong with him?
Yes, he is the, listen.
Like, he is, listen, I'm going to tell you, he is the new, listen, you're playing hard,
but you're killing us.
Yeah.
He did.
You play, Tyree Seeson.
Oh, okay, play, listen.
Like they told, listen, they told Bo out, hey, Bo, you're playing hard, but you're killing us.
Tyree said he plays hard, but you're killing us.
Yeah, he's going to play hard.
He's going to play hard.
He's going to play hard.
Bro, he was doing some stuff last night.
I was like, what do you get away from Katie?
He was just doing whatever.
Just out here, bro.
You know what you're going?
You know, I watched it for example.
But when he went into the hole and stopped.
When he first got into the game, he was on some years.
You know one of those, but you don't want to make a mistake, but you make the mistake.
No, I never, I didn't, I didn't know that in real life because I didn't, there was no passing.
I knew what I was doing when I got in there.
But no.
You forgot I seen.
No, when I'm at number nine.
No, when I'm at the wreck, when I'm in the wreck, when I'm playing 2K and I'm playing with other players, I'd be really like,
Like, I'd be really like, like, yo, I don't want to make a mistake.
Yeah, like, I don't know what a pass.
It's like, yo, like, you feel like you don't want to make it.
Like, I be, I'd be forgetting, like, are you always at the rest?
This is the internet.
I don't care about you.
They're passing the all the ball.
But, you know, I get, I get being nervous out there.
I'd be nervous to not mess up at the wreck because people watching, which is great, which was crazy while.
So I'll be, I'd be easy and I just be in the way.
Oh, they'd be trying to do back doors, I don't back door.
He didn't call my name.
I mean, that's my point guard right there.
That's my point.
That's my PG.
It has to be...
Who do the Warriors really have to worry about besides the OKC?
Who they have to worry about?
Who they got to worry about?
Houston, Minnesota, Oklahoma City,
Denver.
Denver.
Denver.
The clip.
Oh, man, just...
Sacramento.
All right.
Sacramento, a problem.
They always...
They're going to be better.
They're going to be better.
You know, they remind me of, it's like they were the team that they showed like,
oh, my God, this is about to be an upcoming team and then they had to fall off.
You're like, how y'all go to from number three to?
Yeah, it was a flu.
So you got to see what they go.
I think they're going to be all.
I think they're going to be all right.
I mean, they got the talent.
They got the talent to make the play.
You got Dallas.
Yes, definitely.
Well, I want to see what they look like tonight.
San Antonio issue.
Spurs.
I'm about say to Spurs.
San Antonio will be a different team.
Spurs make the playoffs this year.
That's what I'm saying.
So I don't know about.
No, I mean, no, the West is crazy, though.
The West is crazy.
What I'm saying is the West is crazy.
You got FERS, maves.
The West is crazy.
Listen, they give you 10, the one that give you 10 spots.
Portland, too.
Portland.
They just start throwing everybody here.
Put like this.
If the Lakers is 13, if the Lakers is 13, I'm not surprised.
That's what I think.
Yeah, I'm sitting here like, I'm sure.
The 13, what?
The 13.
13 and 14.
How many of their 16?
The Lakers' name and ownership,
they know they're not winning it this year?
No, they look like that.
Just one conference.
With 15 teams in it.
We can look like that, yes.
Well,
he might average 45,
but he'll probably will not be there to see.
He'll look like he'll average
45, but we're going to be in that
8 to 12 range.
And Lakers might miss the playoffs this year.
Oh, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves,
but let's keep this thing moving.
The return of the NBA on NBC
also marked the return of
Michael Jordan with the first installment of his insights to excellent series coming
during halftime of the Rockets Thunder game.
Jordan's commitment to basketball cannot be overstated, six-time champ, six-time finals
MVP famously had the love of the game clause in his contract, which allowed him to hoop
anytime, anywhere, including pick-up games and scrimmages without needing team approval.
So during his interview with Mike Tariko, MJ had this to say about his love for the game.
Still love it?
Love it like you wouldn't believe.
I mean, in all honesty, I wish I can take a magic pill
put on shorts and go out and play the game of basketball today
because that's who I am.
That type of competition, that type of competitiveness is what I live for.
And I miss it.
I miss that aspect of playing the game of basketball.
Being able to challenge myself against what people see as great basketball.
But it's better for me to be sitting here talking to you as opposed to popping my
Achilles and I'm in a wheelchair for a while.
But it's nice to be able to share the things that can still make the game great going forward
from your perspective.
Yeah, I think one of the things why I did this is as professional athletes,
we have an obligation to pay it forward.
You know, that's part of what, you know, this is all about.
It's to pass it and pay it forward.
So, as you mentioned, MJ also told the story about he was staying at the owner of the
Rider Cup's house during the Ryder Cup, brought his grandkids through, made MJ go on
a basketball court and shoot a free throw.
You didn't say somebody who played in the Ryder Cup.
You said the owner of the Ryder Cup?
I believe it was the one who created the writer's copy.
According to MJ was renting his house, M.J. mentioned he already paid for the house,
so he didn't know why he had to put on a free throw exhibition.
But this, you know, you better shoot that goddamn free throw to it.
Mike, like a state.
It better be like a nigga!
And you better make it.
His grandsons want to see you shoot the ball.
My grandsons want to see you shoot.
Do the tongue and a joint.
Let me see him in his room.
Do the logo, do the logo.
Got Mike out there.
We're not going to do bike like that.
Mike and Gordon.
No, no.
And the crazy shit about it that they felt the list.
Y'all go like this.
That they had audacity to ask this, this man who we look at is the greatest of all
time to dance for them.
No shoot a print door.
In the big house?
No, it's just...
In the big house?
In the big house.
It's the big house.
All right, unless you're gonna burn the bed and she's all that.
Absolutely.
Who is nigger on this nash?
For sure.
Hey.
I hear all that, but who this nigger on this nad?
In the big house.
He's staying in the big house, boss?
In the big house?
In the big house?
Burn the bed.
Unless you're willing to burn the bed.
Already?
Rented the house and still had to put on a free throwout.
I wish no daddy was here right, boy.
No, I'm just saying the way he said, the way he said, it just makes us be on to trolling.
Because he said it exactly how we're saying.
Yes.
That it made, like, yeah.
But he did not look at that ball up and shoot, boy.
I could not want to shoot, he like, for real.
That ball up a shoe boy.
I ain't picked up a basketball, I don't know.
I was so nervous up there.
I was so nervous.
He told me, you better not miss, dirty lashes.
Oh, Lord.
Oh, Lord.
30 lashes!
You better not miss, boy.
Your name
Something's wrong with us, y'all.
My son's wrong with us,
the fact that he said that,
and that's the way we're talking about it is.
Kuta, your name is Toby.
Man, that was crazy.
Pick that ball in a shoe, boy.
Don't get fuck you a billion.
Shoot that ball, put that ball in the shoe with you.
And it better not hit no rim.
I had to make the shot all of net.
I need to hit that net go.
Nervous.
Oh, I'm going to make that whip go.
Grandfils wasn't going to like my
I was scared to get wood
I was scared
Okay, but
You don't want me to come down there
I ain't nice like
Boss, he ain't working
I'll beat him black on you
I ain't
I ain't nice like boss
Tell him about the gun line
Tell him about the free throw line boss
Tell him about the free throw line boss
Ladies and gentlemen
This is why you know and love
Gills Arena presented by underdog
Whoa, whoa, whoa, who
Trying to make them done
He was like, I ain't...
But in all sincerity
Obviously, MJ considered by many
to be the greatest basketball player
of all time.
Good to see MJ giving back to the game
as a contributor
for NBA on NBC.
No.
Okay, not at all?
No.
We got three good minutes for MJ.
No.
No.
You like it?
No.
I like, I ain't know I like it.
He can't be, how can he be honest in his assessment?
When most of the population look at you as, like, you number one on Mount Rushmore,
how can you go in there and give your honest critique of the ninth player on the fucking team?
Or the first guy on the team where it don't come across the fucking Mike Hayton again, dog.
So, like, it's just, it's not going to come across as genuine,
because I don't think he's going to be his genuine self
and giving this honest critique of what he's seeing.
I don't like it.
Because no one has ever done, like, so this is my,
so people think I'm wild for this taking.
We look at Michael Jordan individually as the greatest basketball playing, right?
Tom Brady, we look at as the most winning, his quarterback,
but no one would consider Tom Brady the best quarterback
at that position.
Skill set.
We're talking about skill set here.
Did he win seven two votes?
Yes.
Now take anything off of what he accomplished
from the skills said that he possessed
when he got drafted,
$2.99.
He went $2.99 for a reason.
He made the best out of his opportunity,
skill set, all those things, yes.
But people are just throwing up the football
and national talent and things like that.
People would say Joe Montana,
Matthew Stafford,
Patrick Mahomes, Troy Ait, just throwing up the ball,
would say probably would have been better of that than Tom Brady.
We're talking about winning here.
We're talking about individual skill set
and who people are looking at you at.
So Tom Brady can go in the booth and talks football.
He can talk football because this is a totality of the sport.
It's more moving pieces than it is basketball.
I just don't think Mike can be honest.
And going up and then like critiquing people
and giving this honest critique with somebody,
plays bad or somebody's not doing the things that's up to his standard or things like that,
I don't think he's going to be true.
He can't be without it coming across his hate.
Because we get the old nigger hate right now.
And I think we're as honest that we could possibly be on this couch.
There's no way that he can be that.
I think the way that that show is structured, at least from that first installment,
he's not going to necessarily be calling out individual guys.
It'll be more his perspective on.
He's just going to talk.
how he did
in general
when he played
in general
yes okay
back in my day
general
oh you know
you know some of these teams
need to shoot less threes
and it's going to be general
cutty cutter
type of
he's not
the world is not going to get
the Michael Jordan we know
okay
that's
and so we're being cheated then
so you're being cheated
of how you can improve
in your skills
because he will give it to your raw
and tell you you would think that they would put him in
like when they had Kobe doing breakdown films
that's how you should use Michael Jordan
where you can put him
okay this guy needs to go here
you see how his man like he should be in the breakdown film
because he can just go see this guy didn't move
this guy and use his mind that way
because you're not going to be able to have him sit there
and call a game out because
he's going to sound worse than Charles Barkley
You know, Charles Barkley sounds bad?
When you're talking about how honest, oh, he's terrible, terrible, terrible.
Do you hear how Charles Barkley talks about how Michael Jordan treated them?
That's good.
He wanted to hear that.
We know how Charles Barkley talk.
How Charles Barkley sounded, how Michael Jordan talked about them.
Hey, man, what are you hoax doing, man?
You call them hoax.
You think Michael Jordan will go on TV with those personalities?
Why not?
And they're going to be them, and he got to sit there playing because of his brand?
Oh, no.
No, no.
Boy, he going to shut the studio down.
Hey, man.
Hey, shut up.
What do you think y'all out here doing?
I mean, I think them bringing back Michael Jordan was just for, like, marketing.
I mean, you know, everybody who's a Michael Jordan fan.
Everybody who watched Michael Jordan.
Mike, come sit down for an hour.
We're going to ask you some questions.
We'll cut it up all here.
He's the face.
He's the face.
He can watch last dance for a reason.
He had no problem with Gary Pay.
But it's all controlled.
But it's all controlled.
People are last dance, Michael Jordan, we're not going to get.
That's what we, why not?
Because that was him.
That's him.
He could do that.
That's what I'm saying.
Man, one thing I got.
It's a good brand, though.
I mean, everybody that's a Jordan fan.
It's a cold sport when you're done with it.
But it's a, it's a, it's a,
It's not, it's the brand.
It's just, these guys built these images, right?
Like Kobe's image to the world, how he deals is very different from him in practice.
Right?
It's, right, who they are in practice and who they are around us is not what's being sold to the world.
They're being sold a certain way.
And he's not going to break that for nothing.
So you're not going to get, you're not going to get none from him.
You're not going to get none from Tom Brady, really.
you're not going to get nothing from what um
Wayne Gretzky right these guys images
are so top tier that
they can't tell you the truth
it'll hurt your feelings
it'll hurt your feelings
it'll hurt your feelings
if you just had 38 and Mike sit there and be like
who we're talking about it then
why would you feelers if you hurt
thinking Michael Jordan about to give you praise
Why would he do that?
We got somebody on.
Why would he do that?
He's not going to do that, right?
Luke had 43 last night.
He just break this shit down in the way that if he said, oh, yeah, he just plays one side of it.
He just dead.
He could have this better.
He can't be put up there with the guy.
He's not a leader.
He's not this.
Look at it.
He can't.
Why you can't say that?
He can't.
He can.
That's he can.
He can.
He can't.
I can't.
I don't think people.
I don't think people.
Michael George could say whatever.
Michael George could do whatever.
He ain't up there with them yellow eyes.
Hey, come on.
Who wanted to see his eyes watering?
Everybody know where Mike had at.
He was crying without prying.
What's the worst?
I was just water easy.
He said crying without crying.
I wish I could play every day.
What's the worst thing you ever heard?
Michael Jordan saying, I wish I could play.
What's the worst thing?
I just want to play every day.
What's the worst thing you ever heard him say?
What's the worst thing ever heard him say?
Hey, Michael Jordan, who's the goat?
Ah, there's no goat
Yeah, you know, that.
Knowing Dan well if he said me.
Ah, damn.
What's wrong with that?
I mean, everybody will love it.
What's wrong with that?
LeBron James said he's the greatest player.
I'm going to tell you what's wrong with it.
To the guys that came before.
Let me tell you a secret.
Guys that paved the way.
Said again?
No, Michael George said it's disrespectful to the guys that came before him
that paved the way for him to be who he is.
Oh, for him.
But Michael Jones.
To say that he's the great.
That's what he said publicly.
most political answer.
Now, if you hear every...
They're around that motherfucker playing boo-rays.
They're around that bitch playing Burey or a motherfucker
spades.
What you think he's going to say?
Man, I...
None of you, motherfuckete.
When they go to top 50, top 25,
him and Will and all them talk
about each other, who's all you?
Carrying my bag.
But we know that.
My bag.
The world don't know that.
I mean, you ain't never heard him say
himself.
Carrying, y'all.
But when you put all the players together,
there is already a pecking order.
I'm him.
Y'all are behind me.
Pardon my back.
I'm never going to say it publicly.
I mean, well, LeBron don't think that.
But I'm going to say it's the greatest.
I'm going to tell it.
And what happened to him?
What happened to him?
What happened?
What happens?
I mean, they just start, they just start talking bad about it.
Of course.
I'm going to tell you a secret.
I'm going to tell you a secret.
I mean, that's funny.
But if you don't say that.
Here's a secret.
LeBron says the same things Jordan says.
He says the exact same thing on purpose.
But he gets bashed for it.
Ah, rings don't matter, you know, it's about the...
Jordan already said that, he copied it.
He copied it word for word.
You hate him for it.
Because this is an idol, and that's all you want to look at him as.
He's not gonna break that.
And that chosen one shit on the greatest one,
because he knows he doesn't need to say he's the goat because he is.
And then when you don't perform as that, people start checking.
I don't need, you know, when you don't equate what you didn't put it out there for people,
chosen one, the greatest, the king, all this shit.
And when you don't perform, when you three and, when you four and eight, four and nine in the finals,
okay, four and six.
Not that, too.
But he still considered.
Very close finals, though.
A few of them were closer than they look.
Boy.
Who gave it to them?
A couple of the closest way.
He gave it to him.
He gave it to him to you, yeah, your opinion, yeah.
Man.
All of our peace.
I need my check.
I need my check.
What I'm saying is often.
You didn't play in the game.
Nobody could be better than Jordan.
So let Jordan be Jordan be no matter what they do.
Right, so why are we playing?
So why are we playing?
What the fuck is he playing?
The hell we plan.
We plan to be second.
Everybody that grows up now plays to be second.
To make money.
Or third.
Or third.
Yeah.
I mean, I mean, nobody ever be better than him.
Yeah, I mean, at this way.
Best ever came, we already seen the best.
So why are we even playing this game?
I mean, ever since basically in 1992,
I mean, everybody's been playing for second.
Not to me.
And they've been playing for second.
Not to me.
People, they're going to be playing for a lot longer.
Because I can tell you this.
If you're Michael Jordan, the one thing you don't have to say is I'm the goat.
Because in 90, in 92, in 1992, right?
He had two rings.
Just finished the USA basketball, shit, before USA basketball, you have Magic Johnson.
Oh, this is after 92, you got Magic Johnson in the booth saying he is the greatest of all time.
You got Isaiah Thomas doing the games saying he's the greatest that ever played.
The two people coined him.
And Magic was number one at that point.
Magic as number one gave George.
Jordan, 1992, he's going for his third championship, and Magic Johnson said he is the greatest
player that ever lived.
Oh, so he wasn't on the stream, and he didn't call him nobody's, huh?
Huh?
He didn't call him nobody's on the stream, though.
Mm-mm.
Cool.
I was live.
Yeah, okay.
Man, that's great.
Now, to this generation.
I'm gonna say, yeah.
It's bronze generation right here.
Y'all are unks and shit.
I know y'all love Jordan.
This is Bronze Town.
No, no, no, no, listen, I'm with you.
I'm just saying, but the people who, but the people who, but the people who, but the people
who's doing this, yeah.
When they, when they say who's the greatest and they check it, it ain't no YNs.
Nah, well, to him.
It's old ends.
Oh, old, old players.
And we got to listen to that.
Believe that, right?
Believe, Kobe's 10 and 12 and shit.
Unless you got to vote.
It's just an opinion.
There's just an opinion to, I...
No, no, no, opinion.
If you get voted...
I'm just saying Stevie A is in them, baby.
It's an opinion?
Yeah.
It's opinion, you know.
Once the pen hits the paper and it counts as a vote,
it's not an opinion at that point.
Just FYI.
And on that note, yeah, and on that note.
Let's move on two mostly fans.
I'm four modes of fans.
Hold on, hold on, a more second.
Just a little older business, man.
Like, the dude who y'all was on the thing with the other day,
what's his name?
The chunky dude, when you was on the recording me the other day?
Uh, niggas got pressed them.
Uh, low?
Hmm?
Lo?
Oh, I don't know his damn name, whatever it is.
Yeah, like, y'all chatting and this,
that, and the third, and we just kept straight.
Like, on the call the niggas, nobody's and shit like that, bro?
Nah, that ain't more than a nobody.
He was praising you for being who you are
and in the same Brett.
Going to be like,
when the other dude's on the show is nobody,
they'd be nobody without you.
Nobody.
I think I'm been somebody for a long time now.
Got out, Jesse, Jack?
Oh, not low.
Whoever that's...
You said, Requami.
Oh, yeah.
The dude, I don't know his name,
so obviously he's a nobody.
Sounds like nobody.
He's a nobody.
Just get pressed.
So when we call praise.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
I just wanted to be known that I ain't, I'm, no.
Who is it?
I don't know his name, and I don't care to remember his name.
Okay.
And I don't, but.
Antone.
Whatever he is, though.
He was on the live feed with him, Kwame the other day.
He was praising Gil for, right, for being who he is,
straight in the space, and Gil was explaining about the logistics.
other business, just that and the third, and he went on
to say, like, yeah, without Gil
these, them dudes would be no, them dudes is nobody's
without you. Like, uh,
no, dude.
Amen. Not, not, not him.
Right?
I ain't shit without you.
Like, nobody's like, we didn't play in the league.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, like Gil made us who we is.
Oh, like we some, just some niggas.
Like, we're some niggas off the street that grew up with Gil
that, okay, oh, okay.
Like, we carry Gil fucking bag and we,
well, I am a nigga off the street.
So, yeah, I'm up there.
I'm up there.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, no, but we, now, we know,
We ain't go do that.
We ain't go to do this.
Hey, Kenyon, shoot that the guy in free throw.
I'm saying, yo.
That part, right?
Like, that part, right?
No, no, yeah, we ain't, we ain't,
we ain't, we just ain't going to address people as nobody's when.
Trust me, bro, like, I'm taking a high road in this
because it's big.
Don't check your dead, but that's all, dog.
No, no.
I don't know.
Yeah.
I want to do it now.
Yeah, don't, don't do that, bro.
Like, it's the fact that do you always be on.
No, no, no, no, that's a low.
And on that note, thank you, Kay.
Now let's really move on to mostly fans.
Presented by our friends, the underdog.
New to Underdog, use code,
Gil, get $100,000 bonus funds or bonus entries.
You play your first $5 entry.
Win or lose.
Someone said, if you put it a pen, it's still an opinion.
Yes, right?
Because they have to.
Now, we go to court.
Thank you.
And there's a peer, nine of the, what's it, the peers?
Jury.
Jury.
Uh-huh.
And you, innocent or guilty.
When they say guilty, and your ass is in,
Is that still an opinion?
No, no.
Okay, now, right.
Once they voted, yes.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
It goes from opinion to reality.
No.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, it's reality.
When that motherfucker say life,
and you spent your life,
that in opinion, that is a fact.
That is a fact.
That is a fact.
But you could get it wrong, though.
You could.
They do it all the time.
But it's still a fact.
Until it gets changed.
But it's still your opinion, though, because your opinion...
What I'm saying is when someone gets paid to do it,
they are considered a professional, and that overturns just our opinion.
So what am I considered?
Who?
I get paid to talk.
No, we don't have...
I'm a professional, man.
No, what I'm saying is we don't have...
What I'm saying is, we don't have a vote to make it real.
Nick.
Hey, nigger off the street.
Nobody, nigger.
That's shit the fuck.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is Gilderidge.
Hey, he just went talking about me, Nick.
Hey, there's more than me on this guy.
He referenced, nigga.
It was an S on the end of that motherfucker.
Hey.
Hey, however you want to put it, nigger, apostrophe or I-E-S, nigger.
He talked about more than one.
talking about more than one. It was plural.
Oh, yeah.
Pluralized, but our
mostly fans' question today is from underdog user
Lil C Major. Lil C. Major wants
to know, am I crazy for thinking
Atlanta is in a better position than Cleveland
to make the Eastern Conference final?
Yes, you're fucking crazy.
Yes.
Yeah, that's no other reason. We can
end the show.
Well, okay, are you our
