The Jimmy Butler Heat saga has reached its boiling point
with the Heat suspending Butler seven games
for what they describe as multiple instances
of conjunct detrimental to the team.
Suspension comes after months of public tension
between Butler and team president Pat Riley.
Here is a brief timeline of the events which led to Jimmy Bucket's suspension.
So back in May after the Heat were eliminated from the playoffs, Butler said they could have beat the Celtics and Knicks if healthy,
to which Pat Riley responded to by telling Jimmy to keep his mouth shut.
This past offseason, Butler was looking for an extension with the Heat, but Riley said it wasn't happening.
Butler said he was going to bet on himself this season to play his way to another big payday.
Amidst trade rumors, Butler decided to troll the Heat
by dyeing his hair in a variety of colors,
which some claim were the teams of his preferred trade destinations.
In early December, Shams reported Butler would be down
for a trade to the Suns,
and Butler's agent, Bernie Lee, clapped back on Twitter, calling cap.
Shams stood by his reporting, and it proved to be accurate,
because on Christmas Day, Shams once again reported Butler wanted to be traded with Riley saying that wasn't happening
yet again. But after scoring just six points and getting benched in the fourth quarter of the
Heat's loss to the Pacers on January 2nd, Jimmy was asked what he wants to see happen and offered
this response. What do I want to see happen? I want to see me get my joy back from playing basketball.
And wherever that may be, we'll find out here pretty soon.
But I want to get my joy back.
I'm happy here, you know, off the court.
But I want to be back to somewhere dominant.
I want to hoop.
And I want to help this team win.
Right now, I'm not doing that.
Can you get your joy back here on the court?
Probably not.
Damn.
So Jimmy just wants his joy back
the following day that he released this statement
announcing Butler's suspension, saying,
quote,
We have suspended Jimmy Butler for seven games
for multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team
over the course of this season,
and particularly the last several weeks. Through his actionless statements, he has shown
he no longer wants to be part of this team. So according to Shams, part of Butler's frustration
with the Heat centers on the fact he urged him to add another star to the roster the past three
summers. In the past three summers, that has not happened. So far this season, Butler's averaging
17.6 points in nearly 31 minutes per game, which are both lows during his stint in South Beach.
And the seven-game suspension puts a 35-year-old six-time All-Star
near the threshold for the league's 65-game minimum
for end-of-season awards.
So as y'all see this situation unfold,
what's your reaction to Jimmy Butler's seven-game suspension by the Heat?
Did you just say he averaged in 17? And why did you mention the 65 games like he was up for
that shit anyway?
Just stating information.
I'm just, but...
It's a solid 17.6.
It's a solid 17.6.
But you mentioned that shit in the same breath as like he was up for that shit.
He could turn it around second half of the season.
And average what? 19? What the fuck, Jos like he was up for that shit. He could turn it around second half of the season. And average what?
19?
Fuck, Josiah.
Don't start that shit in 25, man.
Okay, I'll be lifting.
All right?
Me too.
I'll be lifting.
I'll be lifting.
I'll be lifting.
Yeah.
Let him know, Jones.
Let him know, Jones.
Tell him you got your brother here.
I got my family.
Family.
I'm not going to force me here today.
We're not playing until 2027.
We're going to call daddy.
It's going to be a trio.
Hey, guess what?
They might get the best of me, but the first one.
The first one?
Oh, he going to pay for it.
Hey, he going to ask them to stop.
We rolling packs.
I'm just going to choke him.
I'm not going to punch.
I'm just going to choke him.
Choke him. Right? And he going to ask them to stop. You're packs. I'm just gonna choke. I'm not gonna punch. I'm just gonna choke him. Choke him.
Right?
And he gonna ask them to stop.
You living it out.
You living it out.
You living it out.
I already thought about getting jumped before, bro.
Listen, they gonna ask you to stop.
He gonna be like, hey, stop.
Hey, hey, hey, hey.
Security!
No, but in all sincerity, though,
what's the reaction to Jimmy Butler
getting the seven-game
suspension by the Heat?
I just mentioned the 65 games
because obviously
he has the potential
to opt out next season
and try to get a bigger deal.
This could severely impact
his ability to do so.
Shaw, you used to be
a Heat fan.
You did.
Confidence coffee.
You moved over to this.
You want me to go first?
I mean, you were.
You were.
Rolling with Jimmy Butler Butler in prior times. Okay.
What causes this?
What's the reason this happened?
Because they don't have a superstar.
Everything was good just a week ago.
Month ago. year ago.
When Jimmy said those statements, he was out in the playoffs, right?
They didn't win that playoff series because he was out.
He made that statement after he was out, like,
look, if I was playing, y'all wouldn't have won.
A year later, he plays 60 games, nothing happens.
But is he asking for a superstar?
He said the last three years, right?
All I'm saying is his unhappiness has come between that point and now. So since
then you haven't really played like the Jimmy Butler that got us there the year
before. But yes. But, but. Ain't nobody, like we've stated time and time again, right? What's that before you got me? Ain't nobody going there.
There are.
No, no, no.
There's a timeline for that too.
Haven't we said time and time again ain't nobody going there?
It's a little early for a function.
Look, here's the timeline that proves that people will go there.
What's the timeline?
Dwyane Wade was the last superstar.
They drafted.
That they had. Drafted. That left Miami.
Did not get a finish.
When Dwyane Wade left, nobody was there.
Right?
When Dwyane Wade went back to Chicago,
they had to rebuild.
They had nothing.
Okay.
They ended up getting Jimmy Butler,
getting Bam, getting Tyler Hero.
Tyler and Bam are the centerpieces of that.
They thought bringing Jimmy Butler in
through free agency would help something.
That's the first free agency that they actually
got through since Chris Bosh
and LeBron James.
So we can't say Miami don't bring Chris Bosh,
LeBron James, Antoine Walker,
all these other guys that came
down to Miami, right?
Andre
Iguodala came over.
One guy.
Right?
That's one time.
Certain guys, right?
But what I'm saying,
I'm talking about the timeline, though.
I'm just talking about the timeline.
One guy made all that happen, though.
I'm talking about the timeline.
One guy made all that happen, though.
The timeline is,
since Dwyane Wade left,
Jimmy Butler is the only free agent
that got there.
Think about this.
All the moves they want to make
to bring people in,
they tied up in other contracts. Bradley Beal, if they want to make to bring people in, they tied up in other contracts.
Bradley Beal, if they wanted to get him here in Washington,
they ain't got the contracts to match that when they rebuilding.
So they was stuck.
Why didn't they get Dan?
They didn't get Dan because they couldn't get it.
Even when guys are free agents, they're not going.
They going.
They definitely going.
They definitely going.
That's a narrative that they painted.
There's a narrative that they painted.
Other than when LeBron went,
because there wasn't...
Because there hasn't been any available...
There hasn't been any available ones to go.
And they haven't had the...
He hasn't been able to do it.
They just haven't been able...
You know what it is?
Miami's a perfect destination for people...
No, it's not.
No, no, no, no.
Period.
The narrative has been painted by us on this show
that somehow Miami's not a place to go
because they work too hard,
they play championship basketball,
and whoo-whoo-whoo.
No.
Right?
They don't play championship basketball.
They play championship basketball
because of one guy.
Everybody works hard.
No, no, no.
There's this accountability
when it comes down to it
when you're not playing
and we call you out
and you don't like it
and you want to go somewhere else cool.
It ain't for you.
It ain't for everybody.
That's how they see it, right?
Okay.
But they don't mean that
people don't want to go there
because it's not a place to go. You want to go there if you want to to win you want to go there if you want to actually get your professionalism, right?
That's what Pat Riley bring and you go ahead up against somebody who's professional Jimmy
It's not professional for you to be on the bench and tell everybody on your team that if you play we the one why Kenny
Because that cuz we don't know what I'm saying, but why was we don't. Why would you undermine them in front of the world?
Why would you say that in front of your team?
In front of the world.
If we was healthy, we would have won.
That's a hypothetical.
But it's still a normal statement.
If we was all healthy, we would have won.
What did the Colonel say?
That's not the type of shit we be on.
Says who?
The Colonel.
Okay, but what I'm saying is you're not even upper-
I'm the Colonel. This is my ship. I said don't do that. But that's what I'm saying is you're you're you're you're you're not even upper man. I'm the Colonel. What is my ship?
I said don't do that. So that's what I'm saying. Tell me that don't know the world
No, you know the same. That's the same guy right here. That's it the fucking team. He played on in Lebanon
Mm-hmm had a fucking chance to beat the Denver Nuggets
Yes, I did
So Jimmy Butler can't say the fuck date. So he so so he can't say that if we wait I was playing
Same guy was gonna be the reason we have a chance
I'm not gonna say that if I'm on the beach the same
Same confidence not to do to be on the beach like your
But what I'm saying is your star your star said it thought that was It's the same confidence. That's not the type of dude I am. Same confidence. Not the dude that be on the bench be like, yo, bro, we the one. Same confidence.
But what I'm saying is your star said it.
Oh, you never thought that, Rashad?
But as a star, star is where it's at.
I know, star players say that.
Whoa, hold on.
Right?
So you never thought that?
Thought what?
If you played more, y'all had a chance to win?
Yes, I have.
That's not a bad thing to say, though.
No, that's what I'm saying.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's not a bad thing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Not a bad thing. You got in trouble for that? No, no, the bad thing. That's not even what we saying. No, the's what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. In what situation? What is the situation?
Pat Riley said, if you're not playing, you should keep your mouth shut. You should.
That's exactly what he said.
If you're not playing.
You can't do that.
You can't do that in the public.
So that means he's looking at you like, oh, that's what we own?
I mean, that's Pat, though.
No, I don't give a fuck.
He did take LeBron James.
Pat told LeBron James, don't bring them cookies this year.
And what happened?
And they didn't go home.
And he left.
And he ran. And he left. And he ran.
And he ran.
And we still got two out there.
And he ran.
Okay, but listen, you're not bigger than us.
Over some cookies?
They are.
They are.
They are.
Obviously, they're not.
We are bigger than you.
You're not, though.
You're not, because we all said you left.
No, that's the funny part.
We are bigger than him.
He won two after.
But you're not.
You're not.
We're not talking about we.
It is a we. We're not talking about we. Imagine Johnson. We are bigger than him. He won two after, though. You're not talking about we. It is a we.
We're not talking about we.
Magic Johnson, we are bigger.
We're talking about the situation.
Don't put we in this. It's them two.
Pat, sit in the message.
You're not bigger than the situation.
Magic Johnson said, yo, sit down.
We are Showtime.
You're nobody.
He was right.
He moved to the Knicks.
He ain't doing nothing.
He moved to Miami.
He got Sha Miami. He got
Shaq. He got Dwyane Wade.
He came and got Shaquille O'Neal.
Then they brung a whole bunch
of other players to help win.
You can't pretend
you that guy. It's them.
You're not bigger than them. You're pretending
you are. They left.
LeBron came.
They won a championship. You can't pretend you're bigger than LeBron. LeBron came they won a championship
You can't pretend you're bigger than LeBron LeBron leave this shit crashes Jimmy Butler comes
He gets you to the championship if he tells you bring me one more star motherfucker bring up one more star
Because if he can get you to the gym with this bring me one more start
I got you so for you to pretend that you are the heat culture and you can do this, you're lying.
Because when he leaves, motherfucker, nobody's coming there.
I got these.
Nobody's coming to.
You got South Beach in your favor.
Yes.
And you treat South Beach like it's a fucking prison.
That's the real thing.
How you supposed to treat it?
Like South Beach. And what beats you when we go to South it? Like South Beach!
And what beats you when we go to South Beach?
No, that beats them!
What beats every team when you go to South Beach when you fly in?
South Beach! That is visitors!
That's why it's prisoners!
We live here!
We don't want our players falling victim!
We don't want our players falling victim to We don't want our players falling victim.
So what you going to fall victim to?
That shit overrated anyway.
Miami overrated anyway.
It ain't even about the Miami City.
It ain't about the city.
You know, you ain't about to do South Beach every day.
It ain't about the city.
It's about accountability.
That's my people.
You got to show up and do your job.
If you live there, you don't have to do it as much as you do.
I don't think...
I think Pat likes to keep it, like, team, right?
So it's not, oh, you...
Like, Pat really thinks he's bigger than the player.
I just think Pat doesn't want nobody to think
they're bigger than the franchise.
Like Miami Heat.
But the franchise is.
The franchise player is the franchise.
It's between those guys.
Why is Tyler Hero and Bam Alibado doing?
Bam Alibado.
Alibado.
Alibado.
That's his name, man.
Alibado.
You know the rules.
That's his name, man.
Why are they doing interviews?
Him too.
After the Jimmy Butler comment.
And they saying, yeah, man, it's unfortunate he unhappy.
We just going to have to figure out what to do. Yeah. We just gonna have to, you know, figure out, you know, what to do.
Yeah, the only real one is Kevin Love.
He wrote saying the same type, you know, giving the energy like, man, this nigga, man, he
gonna quit on this, man, I don't know what he on.
And then they saying detriment to the team, which means there was a conflict.
No.
And then at some point, my question is why the OGs ain't spoke on this Jimmy
Butler comment?
Because maybe it's not.
Because maybe it's not Jimmy Butler.
So who you got to pick a side?
Who is it?
There's one main OG.
For me, I think it's the OGs.
Like, read that comment.
All of them.
What?
All of them.
See, this is the part of the heat comment.
You know what's going on.
Who is it?
Read this comment.
They don't know who it is.
We have suspended Jimmy Butler for seven games for multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team over the course of this season and particularly the last several weeks.
Through his actions and statements, he has shown he no longer wants to be part of this team.
Now, that's illegal.
Because he said, we're not going to be able to fix this.
You say, okay, fuck it. If we can't fix it, we're going to suspend you. You can't we're not gonna be able to fix this You say okay fuck if we can't fix it. We're gonna suspend you can't do that
You can't do this. It's not like he said I'm not playing here. He said we are
Yes, they are
Publicly we are this can't be fit again. Did you read it again? You want to read the whole statement again?
Please.
All right, let me hold on.
Please.
We have suspended Jimmy Butler for seven games for multiple instances of conduct detrimental
to the team over the course of this season, and particularly the last several weeks.
Hold on, let him finish.
He has shown he no longer wants to be part of this team.
After that last statement.
Okay, are you ready?
Can I go?
Okay.
We have suspended Jimmy Butler for seven games for multiple instances
Multiple no. Yeah. Yeah
It's more than
Detrimental to the team over the course of the season. Yeah, uh-huh wink-wink. Okay
Move the goalposts for no, I'm telling you I can weak, weak. Come on over here and move it. No, I'm telling you, I can.
Because I'm ready.
I know the statement.
This is what it's saying.
No, I know what it's saying.
Don't make the words for it.
He has shown.
Don't change the words.
No.
Don't change the words.
He has shown he is no longer.
Don't change the words.
The words are the words.
The words are the words.
It doesn't say shown.
He is shown he no longer wants to be a part of the team.
What was before that?
I know what's before that.
Say before that.
When did he get suspended?
They should have been suspended.
Yeah, if he after he said what he said to throw the team laundry out to the public.
No, he said there's no fixing this.
With that right there, that said whatever y'all talking about, I ain't.
There's a problem.
Yes.
So he didn't know there was a problem, Jimmy. No, he problem. Yes, so he didn't know there was a problem, Jimmy.
No, he knew.
No, the public didn't know there was a problem.
I know.
Duh.
So Jimmy was the one who outed it.
That's what I'm saying.
So whose fault is it?
It's Jimmy's fault, right?
Yeah.
That's what I'm saying.
Oh, that's what you mean.
To your point.
You don't be listening.
I'm saying...
That's what I'm saying.
Yeah, but we're not...
Does Pat Riley seem like the type of human being that's going to allow multiple... He just want to be... No. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, but we're not. Does Pat Riley seem like the type of human being
that's going to allow multiple?
He just want to be.
No, that's what I'm saying.
He want to win so bad.
Jimmy do this all the time, though.
He want to win so bad.
Habitual life is fucking missing.
I'm saying the same thing.
That's what I'm saying.
Pat Riley did it first.
But I.
When he publicly, when he publicly said, then shut up.
That started it right there.
So we should find Pat Riley.
That did.
But why did he say, why did he say. Pat Riley has got to get fined. Why did he say he was unhappy right there. So we should find that did but why did he say why did he say?
He's getting far I gotta get far Jimmy Leeman no no no he's getting back is the fire
Doritos and a motherfucker
That's what he came back that's gonna be defined it's gonna be eight years and he gonna say you know what I'm gonna step on down
I guarantee you step on down in the next 24 months. Let me ask you a question
Hell yeah, there's Jimmy Butler go to another team and play his ass off and play like we never seen him play before
Listen I know what you're getting at don't don't get me don't with you don't go are you with me?
Are you never with me the over with the disappointment. I'm with you. Are you with me? I'm with you. You're never with me. You're never with me.
The disappointment in Jimmy Butler game right now is you're not playing.
You're not playing the basketball you need to be playing to even be talking like this.
We know who you are.
You're in the contract.
You're unhappy.
Do that shit on the court.
I'd rather you ball hog.
I'd rather you go out there and give me 40 and 35 and this and this and this shit you did what we
heard about Jeff Teague said and the Wolves when you took that team over and
beat the starters that's what you should be doing on the court we wouldn't even
be having a discussion. But if that gonna get him traded. I don't give a fuck. You averaging 17
will get you traded? When you want to get traded you man Let's see. That's the bullshit your contracts up to average is 70
Okay, you showcase you showcase team that you can play my god is track but he does have a 52 million dollar player option
I'm for context. Yeah, Sambo far as want to get out of places. He gonna let you know
He's done it a few times. He's done it a few times he's done it a few times he's gonna go publicly with
it so what's any different so he's been he's played 85 games right after the practice he
went right home he's been right on my face he said i just kicked their ass in practice
it sounds like some work to me it sounds like some work to me. Right, what do we know? That sounds like some work to me. You're going to be happy every week. You went right on to your seat.
I just hit you.
It ain't no well put in no foot.
You were.
You're some work.
You know, I'm happy, man.
Yeah, you're never going to get that ring until you sign up and settle down with that one team.
So, Gil, to your point, Butler being fined over $330,000 for each of the seven games he'll miss for a total of 2.4 million.
The NBA Players Association already called it excessive and inappropriate.
You feel like he's going to win his appeal and get a break?
Yes, absolutely.
He has to spend the guy for saying that we're not going to get along.
This is some bullshit.
I don't have no joy out here.
But I'm going to just say it like this.
For Heat, listen, you already have a reputation.
Go ahead.
You already have a reputation of the type of practices you guys do,
how you guys overwork the players.
So the only time players come there is when you're in championship mode
and they feel they can win a championship.
Like, I'm willing to deal with this bullshit for, you know, a couple six months.
But you think a big free agent like Jimmy Lee,
you think big free agents are going to come there
knowing what they're going to be put through?
Nah, they're going to wait to it's almost a championship team
Ready and then they'll come right so you're gonna be losing for a couple years
So I'll bring you my next point
So if the heat can't move Jimmy buckets by the deadline he decides to walk after the season
He would be in great position financially to bring another star to South Beach. That's if he declined his 52
Wait, they would have
What did you just say if they don't get the trade done.
Uh-huh.
He leave.
There's also reports that if they don't get the trade done,
they expect him to still,
they're not going to tell him to go to the crib.
They expect him to still play out the season.
But you just suspended him, though.
You don't know why.
You just took two points more.
You don't know why.
But you would have been better off.
You don't know why.
You don't know why he got suspended.
You would have been better off.
We're going to go sit home.
We're not going to suspend you.
We're not going to take you until we work something out.
I took two.
That would have been the better route.
You took two.
You just took two.
I want my whole 50.
I want 52 now.
$2.4 million.
I'm going to tell you what's going to happen next game.
Ah!
Fuck.
Ah!
Damn.
My back.
Becky out of me.
My back is broke.
You know you can't
give out the secret.
Don't touch the game.
You can't give out the
secret.
My neck and my back.
You can't do it.
You got to give out the
secret, right?
Oh, you find these on
some bullshit, 2.4
million.
I'm going to get it
back.
My back hurt on a
twist of my back.
I'm seven get it back
Eight games so I can make more we know how this work
But those are the game that lets you know, you gotta trade them. Yeah
There's no point now you once you once you do some do shit and find them the relationship is officially over I'm opting in for the 52. Give me my money
So I want that from him.
So Gil, you already...
I don't want that 52 from nobody.
I want that 52 from him.
52 from you.
I want him to have to fucking pay me.
Right?
I want that shit to come out of there.
I ain't taking a fucking penny less.
So Gil, you already answered the question,
but a question for the rest of the couch.
If you were a star player in the league right now,
would you want to play for the Heat, heat seeing the situation how it's breaking out?
Nothing I'll give did but I'm asking
Yes, Chad you would want to absolutely think so
It's like you said if they in championship mode challenging yes
Even if they're not in no, no, no, no
Star play at what age? Even if they're not in championship. No, no, no, no. They're not in championship. Nobody putting up with that shit. Star player?
Star player?
At what age?
Yeah, what age is a star player at?
Yeah, 35 doing all that shit?
25, 26.
So somebody's...
23 to 40.
Doing all the shit you do in the summer?
Somebody's 27 years old right now.
What are we talking about, man?
A 27-year-old right now.
27, 30-year-old right now.
Superstar.
Doing all them mal, man.
Work hard.
Not at 30.
Work hard is easy. Everything is easy when you work hard mouth, man. Work hard. Not at 36.
Work hard, it's easy.
Everything is easy when you work hard.
You used to work hard, everything is easy.
It's about over, though.
Not hard, and you sign up all for all the shit
that we know of.
Work hard at 35, 36.
Yeah, right?
No.
No.
They're going to have the already done trick,
then they can come there.
From 23 to about 33, I would say.
But they do, like, their players that leave,
like, the players that, like, play there
when they need jobs, they do give them jobs.
So that's one thing that Pat Riley do.
He do, like, help out his ex-players.
You end up kicking yourself and things.
So I went down there when I came back from China
before I went to Clippers.
Had an opportunity to go there.
And everything that we speak of, I was like, yeah.
Yeah, I'm like...
Yeah, I was 35 at the time, whatever.
Yeah, I'm like, listen, Jack...
I can't do all this.
They got to get it through the draft.
34, 30, yeah.
I mean...
So when I came with y'all, right?
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, once they were...
Like, they got the Wayne way through the draft.
That's what started, like, when you're talking about the championships he won,
it's because a draft pick.
That draft pick was so good.
They're like, okay, I made a trade for Lamar, then traded Lamar for,
or I got Lamar on free agency, then traded him for Shaquille O'Neal,
won a championship.
I still got Wade.
Wade attracted LeBron James and what's his name?
That's how that worked.
Those are his two championships outside of the one that was given to him by the Lakers.
So, we got the trade deadline coming up early.
I want to take a shot, though.
Go ahead.
Let's do it.
Good.
It's your birthday.
Birthday.
Birthday.
Birthday 2021.
2025.
And while we're taking a shot, why don't you take a shot?
Download the Underdog app.
Use promo code GILL and get a chance to get $1,000 in bonus cash plus a special pickle.
But, so, let's say, you know, we got trade deadline early February.
I was about to say, I'm glad you made a face.
Yeah.
Because I often have something to say.
Everybody made a face.
I was going to say, you know, alcoholics don't do normally.
They just die.
I'm glad you frowned because I was, hey. I'm not doing that at 25, motherfucker. Yes, you are. Hey, but you frowned. I'm not doing that at 25, motherfucker.
Yes, you are.
Hey, but you frowned.
I'm saying, but you frowned and shit, so I was like that.
He ain't going to make no face out of drinking that.
Okay.
You know what?
I got to probably see you on Sunday.
I got to see you on the weekend sometime, so I ain't going to look at your ass.
You're going to see me every Sunday.
Hey, you're going to see me every ain't gonna see me. Hey, you gonna see me as Sunday
At church nice nice and playing the same league legal boys play. Oh
All right, so we asked to chat y'all playing against
Junior
We go on the
Team is older than that one. You're above his. Oh, okay So you playing against his older son a see motherfucker. He playing with me not
2025 no no no no he said the youngest one is under right no nice nice is under he's fine
He said he's his there five. That's just sick cash. That's sick
So I was asking is he played against the big junior in the six?
What is Nick is? Come Jr. in the sixth. What? Nick is 12.
Nick is, come on.
He's 12 again?
How many times are we going to be 12?
How many?
Him and Elijah was the same age, bro.
Didn't we have the motherfuckers in 2007 together?
No.
When did you have Nick Jr., though?
He said 12 again.
Yeah, like this.
Like, 12 again out of? Like, this... 12 again on the 7th?
Satchel Paige.
I got to your team in 2007.
Oh.
Him and Alani.
Yes.
2000.
Oh, okay.
Like, God.
Janet, my God.
They got the same birthday.
That's why he said that.
Oh, okay, okay.
He 12 again.
Hey.
My bad. My bad, bro. My's 12 again. Hey. My bad, my bad, bro.
My bad, bro.
Damn.
So we asked the chat, should an NBA superstar want to play for the Heat?
57% said no.
But let's say that the Heat can get a trade done.
You got the trade deadline coming up early February.
Jimmy has said that the Suns would be one of his preferred trade destinations.
There is some unrest going on in Phoenix right now with the reports that Bradley Bill and Nurk are going to get benched
following the Suns' struggles.
Who would be a star that would pair well with Bam Adebayo on the Heat?
Man, who's available now?
I don't even know.
Bradley Bill.
I mean, I was...
Bradley Bill, straight up.
Through the lob.
Straight up.
Move around, both of them.
Switch it up, try it out.
I mean, of course it's gonna help out.
It's gonna help out the Suns. Yeah.
Switch us back. Yeah.
I think it'd be better for both of them.
Let's do that right now.
I mean, it'd be better for both,
but the Suns obviously enhances them for...
You gotta throw in Nurkic, too. Damn. Damn. I mean, shit. No got to throw in Nerkis, too.
Damn.
Damn.
I mean, shit.
No.
I would.
I'd do it. Nerk bill for Jimmy Butler.
I would do it.
Straight up.
Bill money, but Bill money.
But I would do it.
But they don't have...
They need a five.
They need a five.
So Bam can play the full.
Oh, Bam?
Yes.
No, leave Bam where he at.
Yes.
Jimmy Butler.
Bam is not a five.
Rally bill, Nerkis. Oh, yes, Jimmy Butler BAM is not a five rally bill
There's boy all for this same problem. The Dave's got no
They need to throw something else in there
Throw the backup center in there. Nah
Yeah
Things like 68 million. Oh hot kids in there. Nah. Hell no. I think it's like 68 million between.
Throw Jaquez in there.
Ooh.
Bradley Beal making a chance for him.
They're not giving up that.
That'll help.
That'll help.
The pride of Camarillo.
That's what a champion.
Terry Rozier.
That motherfucker.
Terry Rozier.
Now, you were talking.
Now you talking.
They need big.
They can use Rozier.
Give me Terry and a big.
They need Rozier and a big.
For Nurk and Beal straight up.
They don't know what I'm talking about.
Phoenix.
I know Phoenix and Beal straight up. They need a big. They need a big. For Nurk and Bill straight up. I'm talking about Phoenix. I know Phoenix and Bill
straight up.
They need a big.
They don't need none of that.
Listen, they need a new energy.
It'll be a three-team trade.
Both sides need new energy.
That's facts.
Okay.
For sure.
So you like Bill going to heat?
That was one of the spots
he wanted to go to before.
It ain't about me liking it.
He been needing to move
in the fucking round.
Yeah.
It don't matter where he go.
You have said that he needs to move the eff around?
We could have been doing a whole lot more with this.
He don't even be shooting with KD and Bookman.
He don't even be like...
Talking about a no-trade clause.
Mm-hmm.
Shot.
Mr. B, you hung up on B having a no-trade clause.
Ha!
Ha!
They thought... For them shot girls falling out here. Uh-uh. They thought 25... I'm on
We ain't trying to see nothing scriptures Scriptures from the King James Bible. We just want our liquor.
I want to see everything. So while the shots are on the way.
I'm not going to hold you. I'm trying to told you. You got to show me.
Whoa. I got to go to the strip club with you.
I'm trying to tell you.
Don't tell her.
Don't tell her.
I'm going to pickleball.
And technically, you'd be right.
It is a pickleball.
I just ordered two pickleball joints, too.
So yeah, we're going to be on one of those trips.
That'll be a good trip.
Gil's Arena.
Gil will bring his paddle.
So we ain't got to go nowhere.
The whole arena.
You got the point. I've been to I bet the text you I told you I had
You know what?
You need a black book
He's in there brother. Oh, yeah, they work for a dollar
They're way from me. Yeah, I'm toxic
He did he did it.
He did it.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
December 30th was a special day for a few current and former Hoopers.
Kenya, as we mentioned, you celebrated your birthday,
along with Lakers superstar LeBron James, who turned 40 years old.
LeBron is now the only player in the league to play in his teens,
20s, 30s, and 40s.
And despite being a senior citizen by NBA standards standards is showing no signs of slowing down. Since
Christmas, LeBron has averaged 29 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds on 57-56, 85
shooting splits. Bron also recently broke MJ's 30-point game record, joins Jordan
as the only players with back-to-back 30-point games in their 40s. So back on
his 40th birthday, Dan Wilkie of the LA Times asked Bron about his future in the league
and when he'll actually retire.
Bron had this to say.
It won't be because I can't play this game at a high level.
It won't be because of that.
Because, to be honest, if I really wanted to,
I could probably play this game at a high level.
Probably about another...
Weird that I might say this,
but I'd probably another five to seven years if I wanted to.
But I'm not gonna do that.
Brown said, I could play this game
another five to seven years if I wanted to.
I'm not gonna do that.
That five to seven year window would be enough time
for his youngest son, Bryce, to also...
Mother would be my age.
Damn.
Uh-oh, more shots.
It shot a clock.
He would be my... It's nervous.
Don't be nervous.
Don't be scared, Gil.
Don't be scared.
Uh-oh.
It's all good.
It's 2025.
We can get another.
She would have been mad at me.
What's up?
Shooter failed. She would have been mad at me I'll shoot a fair
So I was like look looking at Bron how impressive as the bronze longevity been and how much longer do you really think he'll stick?
around the league and play I
Mean it's an you know, just like I mean we seen MJ when he was with the Wizards and he put up 20
I have me coming on that wasn. That was impressive, right?
I mean, no matter what anybody says,
if you watched MJ or played against him when he was 20,
it was impressive that a guy who retired
came back right before the season started
and actually was balling, right?
Showing flashes of still greatness.
So, you know, anybody who can...
George? At 40?
Yeah, he was 20.
And played all 82 games.
I'm not rolling with that.
Dog, listen.
He was putting people in that mix.
Withers zone!
You got a Wizards...
That's a badass Jordan.
He was a player.
Who?
Oh, shit me?
What you talking about?
You shitting me?
Hey, hey, hey.
We was there.
There he is.
He was moving different.
Yo, hey, go look at some highlights he gave us. He was he gave was he caught my young ass in that post
That footwork working back with his his back to you
His back is a problem
But you know back on the other end
82 games. He's not looking like LeBron playing
No, he don't
Look like this is the boy. We just don't he don't look like LeBron, but I'm just talking about it was impressive
They know that was that not not off cigars and liquor. Okay, let me try it. Let's try this again
The best 40 year old that played was LeBron.
The second best 40-year-old was Michael Jordan.
Kevin Willis, motherfucker.
What?
With the baby arm.
Yeah.
With the baby arm.
He have his one point.
Yeah.
Yeah, he looks better.
Yeah, he got his one point.
He look better.
He don't look worse.
Point.
With the three words.
He ready to go.
Kevin Willis.
No, we're not going to do that.
Kevin Willis. I'm not rolling with Pat Jordan. Dirk Nowitzki. Dirk Nowitzki. Oh Kevin will they not gonna do that?
He was not fat he wasn't fat either I
Play
You
He was a six-year senior
Wasn't looking at it to see Jordan, but he wasn't nowhere near.
Nick, you do realize I played against the person that we're talking about, right?
Me too.
You do know I have to guard him, right?
And you should be ashamed of yourself.
How?
You should be ashamed of yourself.
That means you can't guard nobody in there.
Who?
You saw me play defense before.
You seen me guard people.
It's the wizard.
It don't matter.
You saw me guard.
I was so fast, too.
23.
Watch this.
Hey, Nick, you saw me.
I wouldn't let somebody catch the ball in practice.
So you, listen.
But, right?
Wouldn't let him touch it.
You took it easy on him.
Wouldn't let him touch it.
Took it easy on him.
No, I did not take it easy.
All y'all said y'all took it easy on him.
What are we talking about?
I gave him 41.
So I wasn't taking it easy. The very first time we played Jordan in Jersey
We hand him playing the second half we had 74 at half time. That's what it's gonna be so therefore
That's what it should have been his old ass
With Connie Brown He was a Christian Laker. Christian Laker, that's what I'm saying. No, yeah, James Jackson. Ron, Ron, Ron.
Rip Hamilton.
Rip Hamilton and all of them.
No, them.
So you can't go with that team.
Tyrone Lue.
Tyrone Lue was on that team.
Wasn't Mike smoking and drinking the whole time?
Yes.
Throwing that team right now.
And what I'm saying is, even more impressive.
Come on, let's be real.
Let's be real.
No, but what I'm saying is, it was a 40-year-old doing that.
It was impressive.
That's what we're saying.
But you can shoot the many shots.
But it's.
Would you get 20 and a half? What I'm saying is, it was impressive. You can get 20 and a saying the mini size, but it's you would you get 20?
cigars and fucking
Did you see what did you see what dirt the whiskey look like that? Do you see what cagey look like did you see what Shaq look like so when Jordan was 40 it looked impressive like then
This is this is cool. I see
Yeah, but yeah, it was good. Yeah, okay LeBron James at 40
This looks good like there's a pecking order it goes LeBron. It goes Michael Jordan. It probably goes up third will be
Wait this game is
Another five years before there was like before we were the winner MVP at what 36 37
Hold on
He can play to the car Malone average 13
Got the same amount of shots Jordan on that team 13 nine rebound
That's the fact that that's because he went to the Lakers
So if he would have was Shaq and cuz he averaged 20 the year before so he averaged 20 at 39
Yeah, I'm saying so he was doing the same same thing so that shit is impressive compared to the field.
Compared to the field, like when you're thinking about all of history, LeBron, MJ,
Karl Malone, um, Jamal Crawford.
That's your top five.
It's not a meaningful game.
Are we campaigning right now? Are we campaigning? It's not a meaningful game.
Are we campaigning for LeBron?
No, we're just saying it's impressive.
We're just saying it's impressive.
It's only impressive when we talk about old niggas that play basketball.
It's not meaningful basketball, though.
It's not really impressive.
It is.
LeBron playing meaningful basketball.
A 40-year-old out there running for the World Series.
They were trying to make the battle.
Kareem won a championship.
No, he didn't make it.
40-year-old averaging. He wasn't all-star as a 40-year-old.
Voted.
What round average is he right now at 40?
Unvoted. He was all-star.
29.
Next.
Man.
And what place was the Lakers in?
Fourth. Fifth.
What place was the Wizards in?
What happened?
Fighting for it.
No, they wasn't.
Swag, we got to go back to something you said, though.
Kevin Willis more impressive than him. Kevin Willis averaged 4.2 points per game. But he can't win with J.J. Reddick. He can't win with J.J. Reddick. J.J. Reddick still got that ugly girlfriend. Damn. Oh, well, Brandon, since you mentioned that. I thought you were talking about it. We completely disregarded the LeBron F40 combo and shifted as we tend to do on this program. No, no, they don't like LeBron, that's why.
No, I like it.
I didn't mean to get visibly upset.
No, I like it.
I like the LeBron's name.
At 40 years old.
We could be talking about the Cleveland Cavaliers.
But we can't compare LeBron and 40.
We could, but nobody would watch and then we wouldn't have a show.
Yeah, we would.
Okay, but why are we comparing a 40-year-old to go win a championship?
They didn't do that before.
I originally said that.
Why is the 40-year-old playing?
Same reason another 40-year-old is playing.
Because I can still go out here and hope.
Because I love the game.
Yeah.
What?
At 40 years old now, it's like what?
Remember my original statement like a few months ago?
Like last year.
That's a spot for a 20-year-old.
Tell him to beat it.
Then beat him for his position.
He's averaging 29 at 40.
24.
But that's what I'm saying.
I was like, if nobody gave Michael Jordan
if they didn't expect
anything from MJ,
they just were so happy
to see a 40-year-old
go out there,
average 20.
Why is they putting
so much effort on
trying to tear LeBron down
for just playing at 40?
Like, why are we expecting
him to be 20?
Like, we're pretending
that he's 20.
Like, we're pretending
that he's 22, 23.
He's expecting to win the championship.
He's 40.
He's older than some of the guys.
So is this an excuse?
He's older than the goddamn.
He's older than Sham.
So is this an excuse for losing?
I'm pretty sure, right?
Is this an excuse for losing?
He came.
He came.
Because you're 40.
He's older than half the people who tell him.
It's cool to go out there and lose.
That's your winning championship. It's cool to go out there and lose because you're 40. Who are they losing? Lose. That's your 40 because you're 40. He's older than half the people who tell him that. It's cool to go out there and lose. Finish your winning championship.
It's cool to go out there and lose because you're 40.
Who they lose?
Lose?
That's your excuse.
We're 40.
We're FFC.
We just out here trying to hoop.
No, what I'm saying is, what I'm saying is,
you know why we're not trying to win?
Because I'm 40.
No, what I'm saying, it's not about a win.
I'm 40.
Nobody said that.
You're expecting me to win a championship at 40?
Yes.
As the main character?
We expect you to win every year you go out there and put your uniform on.
Because you the king, you the goat, right?
So what happened to MJ?
There ain't a year.
There ain't a year we don't expect you to go out there and win it all.
Then what happened to MJ?
What happened the last five years?
What happened to MJ?
MJ, what happened the last five years?
No, no, no, no, no, no.
MJ ain't played in 30 years.
When MJ was with the Wizards,
they were projected
preseason to be third
in the Eastern Conference
after they got Jerry Stackhouse
and all that. Third!
They didn't make it. Nobody said nothing.
It was cool. MJ
had his 20th. It was cool breezy.
There was no tearing down his name.
Why now?
Let the old people play.
Because what happens is when it's done, it's done.
Do people know?
When it's over, it's over.
I can tell you right now.
And then you're a losing team.
Who?
The Washington Wizards were a losing team.
The Los Angeles Lakers are a winning franchise.
I didn't expect winning.
You see how he worded that?
I didn't expect winning.
A losing team versus a winning franchise.
The Lakers actually matters more than Michael Jordan playing for the Wizards at 40.
It don't matter.
When Michael Jordan's playing for the Wizards at 40, it don't matter. Michael Jordan's playing for the Wizards at 40. It don't matter
because we're not expecting you to win at all.
LeBron James at 40,
you played for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Guess what we fucking expect
every year?
You came here when my man was still
alive and you say, hey, you sure you ready
for this challenge?
You're going to be expected to win
every year.
So when you don't, how are we looking at you?
So how was y'all looking at Kobe?
So how was you looking at delivering?
So we're not delivering.
Deliver.
What was the same thing as you then?
Deliver.
2020 NBA championship was the same thing. Deliver.
Okay, so how about 2000?
I don't want to watch this movie no more.
Okay, how about 2013, 14?
Don't watch this fucking movie no more.
2013, 14, 15, 16, 17.
Where was that spirit then?
Before LeBron James got there, where was the spirit of the Lakers in 2013, 14, 15-16-17. Where was this spirit?
It was Swaggy's world.
Huh?
It was Swaggy's world.
No, it was Swaggy's world, but Kobe was there, nobody cared.
That's what I'm saying, what happened?
Nothing happened, no one cared. They gave him grace because it was Kobe fucking Bryan.
No, and he didn't have another superstar.
Of course, but what I'm saying
We can see a championship team like we pretend to be stupid we pretend that it's
Like joy to tell you this if he decides not to play this year if he retires at the end of this year
There's gonna be a lot of motherfuckers who lose a lot of money because there's no more LeBron James to talk bad about,
and you won't be in the algorithm.
You better hope he plays for the next five to seven so you can feed your kids
because when he's gone, the check is gone.
That's a fact.
Because y'all have another enemy right now.
There's no another bad guy.
That's a fact.
That's a fact.
There's no bad guy. Technically, there is another LeBron James in the NBA. No. Right now
We can pick whoever weum and be the bad guy. We can pick whoever we want to be the bad guy. No, you don't got one right now.
He got to be in play.
Right now, LeBron, you get to say,
I don't like LeBron James getting a million views.
Money.
He retires right now.
What you going to say?
I don't like Wimby.
But at the same time.
I don't like Tatum.
Like, that'll hit right now.
You got to create a new, I don't hate him. I don't hate him. I don't hate him. I don't hate him. I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him.
I don't hate him. I don't hate him. I don't hate him. I don't hate him if I don't like the guy you like I'm the villain you don't like the guy
because everybody like that guy but why am I the villain but why am I the villain because I don't
like what you like but no because you like what we like but now that everybody like you don't like
it but regardless if I stop liking it you don't like that I stop you don't like that I don't like
it anymore you like but we all like it but we all like it! But we all like it!
But what, what, what, wait, wait, wait, wait!
Why y'all sound like kids?
You got to tell me why you don't like it no more.
Because we still like it!
Oh, shit, oh, oh.
We all still like it!
Hey, hold on.
Hey, Rashad!
Breaking news.
Why don't you like it?
Breaking news.
LeBron James right now just said
he is towing McCann's car out front.
So he better go out there and get
it
just say he takes his homeboy said do your job Clean it up, Gilbert. You got to move your car. Clean it up, Gilbert. Rashad, you got to move your car.
They own it.
They own it.
Oh, they own it?
We have to take care of it.
That's a wink.
That's a wink.
Go ahead and handle that, baby.
I'm about to pay for this.
You know they out there.
We know they out there.
Rashad, I thought you did a good job parking the car.
We know they out there.
I thought you did a good job parking the car.
We know they watching.
We know they looking, man.
Stop provoking me.
I don't be on this shit.
Y'all want to go here, let's go here.
Cool.
But leave me the fuck alone with it., y'all provoking me. I don't be on this shit. Y'all want to go here, let's go here.
Cool.
But leave me the fuck alone with it.
Y'all keep provoking me.
Yeah, we provoking.
It is the first episode back in 2035.
Soon as we say LeBron, we provoked him.
Y'all provoking me.
Y'all.
I don't like it.
Y'all sound like little kids.
I don't like it no more.
LeBron. But I'm just saying, LeBron got a whole team traded.
Did Jordan do that?
Huh?
So LeBron won a win.
Kobe did too.
I like LeBron.
But last 40, did Jordan come to the West and say, man, trade all these niggas who's getting
me traded?
Yeah!
Rip Hamilton, everybody.
Hold on.
So he got everybody out of there.
So, so, Ken, you asked Shod, did you used to be a LeBron fan?
No, I didn't.
Like, in that basketball.
Do you think he was good at the game of basketball?
No.
We got him a courtside.
Wait, wait, hold on.
Wait, wait.
No.
No, we're not going to do that.
We're not doing that.
We're not doing that.
We're not doing that, Shot.
You know these people got Google, right?
Google what?
They got Google, dog.
We saw you courtside.
We saw you courtside.
We know.
Listen.
What does that have to do with enjoying a basketball game? No, no, no.led, dog. We saw you courtside. We saw you courtside. We know. Listen. What does that have to do with enjoying a basketball game?
No, no, no.
No, no.
Y'all motherfuckers is so thirsty.
No.
It's 2025.
I thought y'all got all the drinking out.
I thought y'all was hydrated.
Nah, 2024.
Listen, listen.
In college, in college, UNC is Michael Jordan.
It is?
It is?
They have to wear Jordan.
There's one man.
Somehow.
There's one man that's going to go against the grain.
Somehow.
And he put on Nike every year.
I mean, every time.
We want to make it about me.
So then I'm going to make it about me.
Wait, what?
So when you want it to be about me, I'm going to make it about me.
But he couldn't, he didn't supposed to wear LeBron because he's supposed to wear my
skorty shoes. And he only wore LeBron James. Used to kick it with Bron, play
blu-ray the whole night. Okay. Shot! I got kicked out the club. You know, you get kicked out. I was
Bobby Brown. I wouldn't. Was Brian stopped fucking with you?
So is that where this anger comes from?
Anger?
I'm grateful.
I'm grateful.
They all motherfuckers is on one.
This is 2025.
It is.
Like I said, just because y'all love him don't mean I got to love him too.
Just because you want to hug him don't mean I want to hug him too.
I do not want to hug him.
I'm cool over here.
I'm cool.
It's basketball to me.
2025, I'm not messing with LeBron this year.
You mean talking bad about him?
No, no, no, no.
I don't ever talk bad about LeBron.
So what's your problem?
Just how he did, Drake.
He got rid of Lil D-Lo.
That's your, you should like him now.
He got rid of Lil D-Lo for you.
That was for you, Nick.
Wait, how he did?
Wow, so you're taking Drake over Lil D-Lo.
He just showed me qualities of, you know, like, you supposed to stay out of it you know. He got rid of Lil D-Lo. You had like Drake on your show. He got rid of Drake. But what I'm telling you. No Drake. Then they was doing Kendrick every song by Kendrick for most. Swaggy isn't Kendrick your cousin? I'm just saying I'm talking about if that was my homie, if that was my homie, I'd be mad. That's what
I'm saying. I just see, like, weird qualities. LeBron
can't be a fan of good music? Right. So what was it?
Was the good quality getting rid of Lil D-Lo?
You don't have to post it.
He got rid of Lil D-Lo.
If me and you, if I'm your homie
and you got beat for somebody else, but I'm cool
when I'm not about to post this shit. And then you get rid of my
enemy? I'm not about to post this shit.
I'm just saying, I'm just like, yo. But you got rid of my enemy. I'm not about the post. Do you got? You got rid of my enemy. So whatever you just need I forgive you
No, you good. Yeah, did you have D low on this year? Huh? Yeah, D low on this year. No, you little D low
You know, we did try wait, do you know little D low?
You know, we sit this ass back to these we Coast. We sent him back to Berksville. LeBron did that!
Wait, you had LeBron over the Drake's? I know he got what?
He's a sucker, dude.
He's a sucker.
He's a sucker.
I'm telling LeBron, bring Lil' D-Lo back.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Just got word.
Just got word.
Swag in your car is now being towed as well.
If you want to go ahead and address that, handle that.
He's supposed to stay down with his man.
If he getting his ass whooped, stay down with him.
Stay down with you?
He got a little deal up.
Get his ass whooped with him.
I told him to get a little deal up for you.
But maybe he got a relationship with Kendrick.
I never said.
What I've seen is him with Drake all the time.
And then when your man getting his ass whooped, you start hopping on the other person.
Drake does have LeBron tattooed on his arm.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
That's all I'm saying. Hold on. That's all I'm saying. Go ahead. He has what? He has a LeBron tattooed on his arm. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. Hold on.
That's all I'm saying.
Go ahead.
He has what?
He has a LeBron tattoo on his arm.
I don't know if it's still there.
That's what I'm saying.
In light of the recent situation.
That's all I was saying.
He got Steph Curry and Katy, right?
I thought you said Nick.
No.
Oh.
No.
You know, I admit, I was even thinking that.
You sick.
I thought that's what he said.
I said Drake has LeBron tattooed on his arm. I didn't hear the Drake that. You sick. I thought that's what he said.
I said Drake has LeBron tatted on. I didn't hear the Drake part.
Yo, so Drake drives LeBron.
I thought he said Nick.
Man, what he do?
And that new freestyle.
The Fighting Irish freestyle.
What he say?
I'm going at LeBron.
If I'm Drake, I'm dropping everything.
Shit.
Didn't he get flagged off YouTube?
Yup.
You know.
Higher power. Higher power flex their muscle. That was a get flagged off YouTube? Yup. You know.
Higher power.
Higher power flex their muscle.
That was the real song?
But the damage done.
Still available on the internet.
He damned a dry snitch on LeBron.
I'm ashamed to be your friend.
He said, man, what I tell you to do?
Remember those little fucking barber shops?
LeBron, what I tell you to do, Drake?
Drake listen to the nigga and shit.
No, you got to tell him the whole thing.
You ain't saying I'm right.
You know what I'm talking about?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. LeBron what I tell you to do Drake Drake listen to the nigga shit
No, you gotta tell him the whole thing you ain't saying all right
He was on the shop he was like what I tell you though what I tell you you said I could never let you down
I could never I get it from him
He got rid of your enemy.
Yeah.
But the fact that he brung him.
In the first place.
Don't get rid of him because he ass now.
That's the shit.
You keep kicking niggas.
I didn't tell you.
I don't give a fuck what you did to me.
You get rid of my enemy, brother.
I don't even see that side.
I don't even see that side. I'm just talking about the jump and shift part, you know?
Yeah.
He ain't jump and shift.
He just like music.
Nah.
Let's talk about sometimes music.
Sometimes music is just good.
You don't think that's jump and shift?
You can't.
No, because he was already a fan of Kendrick's.
All right, all right.
But he's a fan of music.
But...
So what?
I'm supposed to not...
You can listen to it.
I'm not saying no, but you posted it.
So if Drake came out and was like, nah, Kobe, for real, for real, this is the greatest of all time.
That's fine. No cap. That's your opinion. And then LeBron
unfollows him for that. He wouldn't do that.
I don't think he would do it. I don't think LeBron cares.
I'm a billionaire. What the fuck? I give a fuck.
I like music. So he just like
being around people when they hot. Like,
for the...
Okay, I get it. I get it.
That's what I'm talking about, LeBron.
You know what?
Uh-oh.
As a GOAT, as a GOAT, you're supposed to move better.
That's what I'm talking about.
Gil has the phone out.
You're supposed to move better as a GOAT.
Talk about it.
That's all I'm saying.
So I'm a GOAT, I'm supposed to move better.
That shows like when he left Cleveland to Miami.
Talk about it.
Rashad, do you agree with Waggy?
As a GOAT, LeBron has to move better.
Waggy is always on point.
I'm just going to be honest. I'm going to be honest. So as a GOAT, LeBron has to move better. I'm just going to be honest.
I'm going to be honest.
So as it goes, LeBron needs to move better.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Somebody.
So as a grown-ass man that pays his own fucking bills,
he can't like who he want to like and listen
to who he want to listen to?
And expressing?
If I'm your man, we friends.
You were talking about me.
We know how it goes.
Yeah.
You acting like he went on stage.
You acting like he went on stage.
You went up. Right? And you he went on stage. You went up.
He was adjacent to the stage.
We know how it go, man.
You know you got to pick sides.
It's war.
It's war right now.
We warring.
LeBron was at the pop out.
LeBron was at the pop out.
He's always played everybody's songs publicly.
He played Drake's joint.
And he was like, oh, yeah.
That's when I was like, all right, keep that same energy. He plays everybody's joint. And he was like, oh, yeah. That's when I was like, all right, keep that same energy.
He plays everybody's music.
Keep that same energy.
Okay, yeah.
And then at his 40th birthday party.
I guarantee he rapping all of Kendrick's shit word for word,
doing the beef shit, Drake's shit word for word.
The same thing.
Same shit, bro.
I didn't see him do one Drake song publicly.
Same.
But you seen them Drake bars that he spit, though.
Now I'm about to buy me a D'Angelo Russell jersey.
Uh-oh.
A personal, right?
A throwback Lakers or a Brooklyn Nets?
Ohio State.
Ooh.
You going to buy all of them?
I should buy the first Laker one.
You should.
You little D-Loader, that's your name.
The old little throwback.
The first one.
That's why I wore this today.
Not the new jersey.
Not the new Laker.
I want the old Laker.
The one that we all team together for.
Yeah, the one y'all wore.
Y'all were teammates. Just make you think about it. I want the snitch jersey. I want the old Laker. The one that was team together. Yeah, the one y'all were. Y'all were teammates.
I want the snitch jersey.
I want the snitch jersey.
And I want him to sign it.
I want a snitch on him.
That's hard.
That should have failed.
I snitched on Nick.
I snitched on Nick.
So let's keep this moving back in the Lakers world.
So back on December 19th after a Lakers win over the Kings,
J.J. Redick shared his thoughts on it. It's't no way, it's gotta be a hell of a thing.
It is your birthday gift.
It's gotta be a hell of a thing, right?
If he was starting to sign, I snitched on Nick.
Oh my.
Hey Russell, I'm gonna see your jersey.
Please sign it and do that.
I snitched on-
D-Lo?
Fuck Nick.
I snitched on D-Lo.
Lou D-Lo.
Lou D-Lo.
I snitched on Nick. I'm going to put that bitch up.
Boom.
Make his ass mad.
He got to see that.
I'm going to put the bitch right there.
You will replace the Kevin Durant jersey, Kurt?
Kevin Durant.
Uh, hold on.
Lil D-Lo.
Uh.
I don't know.
It is a practice jersey, so.
It is a practice jersey.
I know, but that's a, but it is.
It is Kevin Durant.
It is Kevin Durant.
Ooh.
All right, I'll, ooh. But if any of you can move, it will. No it is Kevin Durant. Ooh, all right
If any you can move I just heard him he just said it he said it what he says
No Carter No, Carter. If I had to. I'll move... Which one?
No, I'll move Vince Carter.
Number 22?
No, Vince Carter.
Steve Nash back there?
That's the only white.
They gotta feel comfortable.
They can go.
You're right.
He can go. Let can go. You're right. You're right. He can go. You're right. He can go.
He can go.
Let's keep this moving.
Back on December 19th, after the Lakers went over the Kings,
J.J. Redick shared his thoughts on the state of the league
and the role that the national media has in coverage on the declining views.
So saying the national media bashing the product constantly
has played a large role in the viewership issues. Although Reddick didn't name names in his critique, Charles Barkley took
issue with the comments, offered this response during a recent episode of Inside the NBA.
Said, JJ, you come for the king. You better not miss because I can get you, brother. Remember,
I got your Lakers games. You can't hide them flaws they got. You're just a dead man walking.
They got rid of Frank Vogel, who did a good job. They got rid of Darvin Hamm, who did a good job.
But you come out there thinking you were going to change things
with the same ugly girl you went on a date with,
the Lakers stink.
Barkley went on to say,
he came in there thinking, I can make this thing work.
The hell you can.
You put some makeup on that pig, the Lakers stink, man.
Put some makeup on that pig.
Come on, man.
That's sick.
So Redick was asked about Barkley going at him.
Let's take a moment.
Let's take a moment.
Put some makeup on that pig.
Oh, shit.
Very pointed comment.
As previously mentioned, JJ didn't say anybody's name in particular.
He just said, you know, you got all these national media members saying that the product stinks.
People are going to believe him.
Stop watching the product.
They may or may not be wrong.
The product does fucking stink.
Okay.
That is a valid assessment.
Somebody got to be blamed, too.
So Reddick was asked about Barkley going at him,
and he had this to say.
I didn't make it all the way through the clip.
I got to be honest with you.
My arresting heart rate is probably 64.
I watched the clip.
It was 64.
Literally don't care.
My resting heart rate is 64 beats per minute.
That is very good heart rate.
Blood getting pumped through his body.
That's swag.
I don't know why.
That shit should be pumping.
Pumping.
Pumping.
Overtime.
Cardiac arrest.
Let's talk about this stupid motherfucker.
Head on the shrivel. Head on the shrivel.
Sub in, Ronnie. Somebody come in here
and do something for us.
JJ ain't doing shit.
Your heart rate should be pumping.
Hope that shit pop.
JJ, you're going to have to sub, JJ.
You're going to have to check in.
Talking about Darvin Hammond and them like that.
Get the fuck out of here you rest with shit
But I got a roll with J. So Lakers
We know we saw JJ in Vegas
You niggas is cooked me Gil had a sidebar so Lakers are currently 20 and 15 fifth in the West
Through 35 games last season under former coach Darvin ham. They had a record of 17 and 18
They got they got rid of DLO that's why they would be 21 and 14 if the refs all the time
See Charles see that's the problem with Charles. He don't actually watch basketball.
About to go, buddy.
They be telling him what to say in his ear.
About to go, buddy.
So he don't even realize when he said it,
they was actually 4'5".
So they're actually better than they were last year
at the same time frame.
So what Charles is saying,
ah, you should have waited.
Why?
64 beats per minute.
If it smells like shit, it's shit.
Right.
But it don't.
I smell shit.
I smell shit.
But it might look like chocolate.
That got to be John.
It looks like chocolate.
Hey, Gil beakin' chocolate.
Until he smell it.
Hey, if you smell that shit everywhere you go.
Hey, it's no shit.
If you smell that shit everywhere you go, god damn it is you.
Hey, but look.
He outside the window like, hey, mama.
Hey, mama.
I want that chocolate in there.
Hey, baby, that ain't chocolate.
That ain't chocolate. That ain't chocolate. That ain't chocolate. That ain't chocolate. That ain't chocolate. If you smell this shit everywhere you go, God damn it is you. But look, he outside the window like, hey, mama. Hey, mama.
I want that chocolate in there.
Hey, baby, that ain't chocolate in there.
That ain't no chocolate.
But I want it.
It's shit.
Charles Barkley don't wipe his ass.
Look at that shit.
Can't wipe his ass.
It's shit.
It look like chocolate, but it's shit.
20 and 15.
You said Charles Barkley does not wipe his ass.
You know that to be true.
Is that a legend?
20 and 50.
The little soap bars.
Yeah, I saw that story before.
Oh, yeah.
The little hotel soaps.
They're better than they were last year at the same point.
So what you're saying is he...
On paper, yeah, of course.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Stat man, stat man.
Paper is paper.
But what does it smell like?
What does it smell like? When you're watching. That's you. what does it smell like? What does it smell like?
When you're watching.
That's you.
What does it look like when you're watching?
What does it look like?
Does it look like shit?
That's the problem.
I don't get it.
That's what they do today.
That's what they do today.
I don't get it.
If the stats look better, they call you a stat man.
Yeah.
Look better?
It looked better.
It looked like it was better last year at 17 and 18,
but we was calling them all kind of names.
But it looked worse.
Hot Pops.
Last year.
But we're winning.
But no, it looked worse this year.
No, it looked worse last year.
It looked worse every year.
But we've been winning more.
But y'all was coming off the in-season championship.
And it looked worse.
What happened after that?
It looked so bad after that, right?
In the door, in the wheels.
The doors flew off.
We've seen the strain that it has in the championship. Kind of. We're we all have seen the strain that
I cared about That's how it looks right now did hang a bit of a lot of season. They won the NCAA championship
We're not gonna celebrate no champagne. You should have just celebrated the champagne cuz just stink right now
But I'm not I'm not going against the Bucks because they got a clean slate.
So I just wanted to throw it out there.
The Bucks look like boo-boo.
Uh-oh.
Uh-oh.
See, I got my dames on right now.
It's dame time.
Exquisite shirt.
Shout out Dame Lil.
What do you mean they look kind of green?
What color do you think they are?
What did he say?
I don't know.
Did he just say they look kind of green?
What is it, grandmama's?
What is it?
They're damn...
Grandmama.
They got David Robertson.
Bucks made a mistake.
They should have never traded you Holiday.
You can't be stupid all your life.
What you trying to say?
Your mic is on and the chat can hear you.
What you trying to say?
I whispered.
Barely.
Bad move?
Huh?
Bad move?
Yeah, for sure a bad move.
But we got to deal with it.
Got to deal with it.
We got to deal with it. We got to deal with it. We got to deal with it.avie? I whispered. You said, I whispered. Barely.
Bad move?
Huh?
Bad move?
Yeah, for sure a bad move.
But we got to deal with it.
Got to deal with it.
We got to live with it.
Bad move.
Trayden's, uh...
Dame should have went to Miami.
Yeah, Dame should have went to Miami.
We should have kept Juality.
What the fuck would y'all have done with Juality?
Yeah, he would have been scoring more.
Won a championship?
No.
Stop, man.
You had to average five, seven, twelve points.
Yeah, the other day he got killed by Fee.
Dame ain't y'all's problem. Yeah. Huh? Dame is not y'all's problem. Dame is 5, 7, 12 points. Dame ain't your problem.
Yeah.
Huh?
Dame is not your problem.
Dame is not your problem.
What is your problem with, huh?
What is the Bucks problem?
What's our problem?
I mean.
It's 20-25, clean slate.
Something that happened in 20-24.
We traded somebody who can play both ends.
And then we got rid of P.J. Tucker.
Y'all fired somebody who was a little bit better.
So we get rid of our two adultsall Y'all fight everybody who will we get rid of our two adults?
For what?
You think that's gonna win in a playoff you got a guard somebody
One star we talked about a guard for did in the last three years. That's why I got rid of the playoff
But we got it was it was we roll it before we got to keep rolling but I
don't get that let's say I'm just gonna pretend yeah y'all gonna see you know
what I'm saying you buck really like that what what other than they affects
the team wait a minute hold hold hold on hold on y'all are pretty gonna sit up
here what and pretend
at the beginning of the season the Bucks wasn't on fire.
Are y'all really going to sit here like that?
Y'all really?
Who paying?
Who the fuck paying you?
Nasty Stark is paying.
Does Doc River have the foundation?
Because he must be paying.
Because y'all are going to pretend Adrian Griffin didn't
have the record he had.
That was last year.
Yeah, and then not overnight
Boom, that's a nose. I was last but yeah, they know
Even but even before that we're not fuck the coach fuck the coach of shit. I'm not straightin drew holiday
So what are you gonna have you had drew holiday Gary great and no no first of all
Not even over here. Yes, Julia. What's the value? He wouldn't have been there ever to be okay?
We traded PJ Tucker Andrew holiday
After the championship he was already gone. No they didn't want to that's what he's talking. He didn't want to go We should have never
They dismantled the team He didn't want to go. That's what he's talking about. He didn't want to go. We should have never... That's what I'm saying. Our team could go.
After the tag is still...
They dismantled the team.
No, no, no.
They should have just stuck with Drew.
That team won by luck.
I'm sticking it out.
That team won by luck.
I'm sticking it out with Drew.
No, when Yachty got hurt in the playoffs, that was the same team that could have won
it.
They didn't bring that same team back.
No, it was the P.J.
Tucker.
When P.J.
Tucker signed...
So was it Miami? Is that when he left? Clippers? Right? No, he wanted to come back. They didn't want to give him the money
He left because they didn't value what he was doing
Always say this if you're such a good player a good point game with the Miami why you're not on the USA team
Huh Huh? Because they want to. I didn't hear you. I didn't hear you. What did you just say? Stop back.
Stop back.
Stop back.
What did you just say?
No, no.
You know why?
You know why?
Because players around said they don't like playing with him.
Top 75.
That's all that matters.
Top 75.
Where's Kyrie Irving?
Huh?
Top 75.
Huh?
Kyrie Irving.
He ain't top 75.
Kyrie Irving.
Should be.
I mean, what would we know?
If they would have had Kyrie Irving,
y'all wouldn't have won the championship.
Huh?
Brooklyn. I don't know. I mean, that's the same thing If they would have had Kyrie, y'all wouldn't have won a championship. Huh? Brooklyn.
I don't know.
I mean, that's the same thing Jimmy said.
Same thing, right?
That's what I'm saying.
Thankfully, Pat Riley not here to tell anybody to keep their mouth shut.
By a foot, and it was just KD.
I mean, but we got to roll with it.
We're going to keep rolling.
We got to roll with it.
Let's shift this back to the Lakers real quick.
I ain't been damed for y'all problems.
Man, y'all look crazy.
I'm just saying, I don't like it.
I don't like it. I don't like it.
See, that's the part.
That conversation you had with him.
It don't work.
That conversation you had with him.
You got to like what they like or it's bad.
No, no, no, no, no.
I'm just holding it.
Have you noticed?
I just said it don't fit.
It doesn't fit.
What I'm saying is crazy.
The shit don't fit for walking.
It don't fit.
I don't like it.
It's bad.
I don't like it.
Shot.
Shot.
Every since he went down to... Say one shot Every since you went down
Say one everyone's right there. We're winning when I was down there every season. He wouldn't to talk the doc
He's been against me. No, oh
Okay, okay, okay
He did speak about the movement. I never liked the movement of the jump. No, he said... But let's go with every since, every since.
He was never speaking on it.
Every since he...
Damn time.
He was never speaking on it.
But I was speaking on something.
I was speaking...
He didn't like it, but he was speaking on it.
But now he feels like he will.
I don't like it.
I just look at the...
I don't see it.
The secret Santa Claus visit with Doc Rivers,
he's been different.
That's all I'm saying.
I don't know how much Doc paying.
The last time I was there, we was winning.
Let me see your cash.
Last time I was there, we was winning.
They turned it around, right?
Huh?
Yeah, they won it.
They turned it around and went back around.
They made it, right?
They went back around.
They did a full 360.
They did a full 360.
Look at that, y'all.
Happy to see Doc.
Hey, do it again.
He happy to see Doc.
That's the last time.
That's the last time we was winning.
He's like, I'm going to see Doc.
An exquisite running man, my Mr. Rich.
Hey, when that check clear, this is how you dance.
That Doc check clear, do it again.
Boom.
Look at those feet.
An exquisite running man, Mr. B.
Elite level.
Back to the Lakers quickly before we move on.
We asked to chat, whose side are you on, Charles Barkley or JJ's?
50-50 split.
So, Gil, resident Lakers fan, do the Lakers think?
No, not right now.
No, hell no.
Not right now.
Best team in basketball.
Right now, listen, right now they playing good basketball.
They are.
Right now.
Put the Lakers on 2B.
Keep it quiet.
This is the new Lakers standard. Keep the Lakers.
No one can talk about it.
Let's keep it quiet.
This is why I'm not a Lakers fan.
Our 40-year-old.
The Lakers ain't getting out the first round this year.
It's our reputation.
This is Laker representation.
This is Laker representation.
How much do you want in back?
Y'all want Laker representation.
How much do you want in back?
We got the first round.
Saying this is okay.
It depends.
It depends on who you play.
You get the motherfucking Cleveland Cavaliers or something like that.
They out of here.
Or the Indiana Packers.
They out of here.
Cavs out of here. They ain't got no number one option. I'm out of here or the Indiana The cab do not have a number one option still
Who is this for I'm a chiefs keep one for a host
Hey, I was waiting
Look, oh my god. I love like listen listen play the music money do that to you
play king and steam music
Then you were supposed to take the two
See that's some smoky didn't do He didn't get the money back from Deebo. Like, my $200.
He said, we got about $200.
I got about $200.
I got about $200.
He said, huh?
Now, we made a bet on a college game.
I want to spend Red's money.
Wildcats versus Cincy.
Bear down.
We pulled it out.
Take a dip.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mm.
And you're a man of his word.
Yeah, I said bet, and I just ran.
Like, damn it. Honorable man, man of his word. Man of his word. I would have just kept the bread, Mm-hmm
Honorable man man of his word man of his word. I would have just kept the bread guilt as we already know
What bit
Him pay me when he want to pay me. I already had to deal with you here in Stockton.
I was like, yeah, you know, I'm not going to mention this one.
All right, well, let's...
I don't know how he's feeling right now.
Seems like we got some Lakers fatigue,
so we'll keep this moving.
That's how I knew me.
I was thinking, man, you was going to be talking crazy.
I knew it.
They played Madden after the game in the chat.
It was a good game.
It was a good game.
It was a good game.
Like, man, I'm pretending my mic didn't work.
It was a good game, though.
I said, wow, that's crazy.
You sorry motherfucker.
Sorry ass fuck.
You and your kid.
You barking and shit.
Yeah, that was a good pass.
We can talk nicks if you like.
Good ass pass. We can talk some nicks. That was a nice shit. Yeah, that was a good pass. We can talk to Nick. Good ass pass. We can talk to Nick.
That was a nice run.
Aw, man.
Damn, that was a fumble.
Damn.
It must be the computer.
Oh, yeah.
Yo, while I'm on my rant,
hey, Jason Tatum's trainer.
Yo, he had an issue with me
saying that Jason Tatum was soft,
one of the softest
Boston Celtics superstars ever.
Uh-oh.
Mr. Big Time.
Since you his trainer, make sure he gets finals MVP this year. Ooh
He and I heard you wrote a book talking about like stop the bullshit. I'm a bright part too if he don't get it
Hmm if he do if you don't
I mean if you do he if you I mean it's light is very likely that he's gonna win finals MVP
During the finals are gonna win. He's gonna win. Okay. Okay, we're in the finals. They're gonna win. He's gonna win
Okay, well, we'll see. Okay. Well, we'll see the final
Loser the Lakers could he win finals MVP? I mean that's your birthday
It's your birthday guarantee, but I'm just saying you know, mr. B
Crash out trainer has a lot to say like, you know,, is your client the top five Boston Celtics player ever?
Like, don't come for me.
Make sure you get your...
Top five Boston Celtics player ever?
You don't think he is?
Top five?
You better go do your homework.
I mean, but that's not something...
I mean, even if he wins, I mean, his other boy, his other boy.
Who's after his bird?
Damn.
I mean, what you saying?
I mean, Jalen Brown might be a top five.
Let's not do that if we don't know.
Shot!
We don't know.
Let's not do it.
If we don't know, we're not going to talk like we know and we don't know.
I'm not taking over right now.
I mean, he's 26.
That's what I'm saying.
By the end of his career, he might be over.
Who?
Over who?
Over who?
Over Paul.
John.
Mr. B has entered the building.
Mr. B is here.
Oh, now, damn it.
Come on, man.
Paul, stop.
The truth? I'm not saying that by the. Paul, stop. It's the truth.
I'm not saying by the end of his career. It's the truth, though.
By the end of his career.
Key, truth.
I know one thing.
Paul Pierce would never let anybody else get finals MVP, nor Larry Bird.
I don't know what he was.
Oh, whoa, someone did get finals MVP against Larry Bird.
When Larry Bird won an MVP.
He was MVP that year and didn't win finals MVP.
So name the top five.
Because he lost his magic.
I'm just saying.
I'm not going to be here.
I'm not going to be here.
Name the top five Boston Celtics.
Was Maxwell the MVP when Larry Bird won?
Top five.
Maxwell?
Who's the five Boston Celtics?
Oh, yeah, Maxwell.
Yeah.
I think it was Bill Russell.
Yeah, Maxwell.
Someone did win finals MVP over Bird.
Did?
Yeah.
1981.
McKell?
Houston.
Hm?
McKell?
No.
Mac, poor Brad, Maxwell.
Maxwell.
And, um, and, what?
1981.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was over Bill.
Little d-load.
But let's keep this thing moving.
Let's talk about.
Finals MVP in the long run.
No, that's just a hell of a argument.
No, what I'm saying is that's, just to be honest. That's kind of a bad statement a little bit
What's the best thing this office? No, no, yeah the top five like throw that out there
I mean, we'll prove it like not but top five. That's my opinion, but in a box
I'll take you to form but it's my opinion, but it's what I'm saying is it's top five
That's like that's like me Jaylen Brown is top five Boston Celtics ever. Wow. Yeah. I mean, hey
I mean, he got the hardware to show it in that journal. Let's keep get one buddy get one
so I'll
Tell me my penis wrong. No, but that's it
Top five it kind of just takes away the whole argument in a box I don't think you know Boston Celtics all these championships all the stars and you're saying you're not top five at 28 right now
And I over over Bob
Listen the argument is the argument is he is the softest Boston Celtics superstar to ever put on the jersey.
Yeah, but there's only four of them.
There's not a lot of them.
That's what I'm saying.
That argument is like this.
The culture is long as hell.
The culture is going back and forth.
Bill Russell.
Name the four.
Superstars.
That's what I'm saying.
Superstars.
Name the four.
Superstars.
Superstars.
Name the four.
Bird.
Bill Russell.
Bill Russell.
Bird.
What you mean?
That's it to me. Bill Russell.
Paul Pierce wasn't a superstar.
Yes, he was a superstar.
He came to LA, dropped 40, they named him the truth.
Are we talking about the O's?
Kevin Garnett.
We talking about O's too, motherfuckers.
Kevin Garnett.
What about Bob Cousy?
Everybody Bob Cousy has a tooth.
Wait, wait, wait.
You can't put KD in there.
Kevin McCale.
Kevin McCale.
Are you putting him in a Boston uniform though?
KD.
Are you putting KD in the Boston uniform?
Yes, KD.
Oh, yeah.
KD.
KD. KD. K Kevin McHale. Superstar. Are you putting him in a Boston uniform though?
Mm.
KG.
Are you putting KG in the Boston uniform?
Yes.
KG is in the Boston uniform.
Okay, you can put KG in, but that's an actual superstar.
That's the only one they had.
Like being a star in a superstar is very, too different.
If you're the main guy on the Boston Celtics team, you are the superstar.
No, that's not a superstar.
Paul Pierce was a superstar.
No, he was a superstar.
He was a superstar.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
You saying Paul Pierce was a superstar? And he passed KG. Paul Pierce was a superstar. That's what you just said? Paul Pierce was a superstar. No, he was a superstar. Whoa, whoa, whoa. You saying Paul Pierce wasn't a superstar? And he passed KG.
Paul Pierce was a superstar.
Is that what you just said?
You talking about Justin and Paul Pierce?
That's it.
Paul Pierce wasn't a superstar.
With all his stats.
Who?
No, no.
We're not talking about KG.
That's what I'm saying.
We're not talking about KG.
We're not talking about that.
I'm talking about when you see Jason Tatum, are you like,
damn, I got it.
We're not going to change it.
Damn, it's going to be.
We're not going to change it.
We're not going to change it.
No, I'm not changing it.
Top five superstars. In the Boston Celtics. We're not gonna change it. We're not gonna change it. I said top five
superstars in the bossy seat if you got cagey or Paul Pierce people will put them in they're gonna put him in front of KG For sure. Yeah
Because he only did and he's only 20 day. Lynn Brown is the top five cool
For in fact, yeah, yes, but overall They both are. They hit me. They hit me. Four and five. Yeah.
100%.
But overall, no.
Who?
It don't gotta be that.
Who?
I got you.
All Boston Celtics.
Okay.
Okay.
Not just like that.
He is.
Paul Pierce is a Boston Celtics superstar.
Yes.
Yes.
This is what I'm talking about.
100%.
Yes.
Yes.
KG was a Boston Celtics superstar.
Bob Boosie. I went against that. Superstar. You crazy? The problem with that is, who? Crazy? But who? That crazy mother fucking KG? But Tatum's in front of KG.
Huh?
Tatum's in front.
He can beat his, but Tatum's in front of him.
Yeah.
No, he's not.
Yeah, he is.
Yes, he is.
I'm not rolling.
Why?
Why is it?
He in front of him.
Why?
Why?
I don't know.
I don't know why.
I don't know why.
I just can't go with it.
Yeah, yeah.
Why?
Thank you.
Same amount of championships.
Same amount of championships and more stats
and a first-ball team and all
stars. I just like the dog.
As a Boston Celtics.
That's what the ball is about, right?
Yes. As a Boston Celtics.
Is that what he's talking about? Jason Tatum, a
superstar for the Boston Celtics. Are you talking about his feelings?
You don't know how he feels out here.
Jason Tatum, superstar for the Boston Celtics.
Representing our country in the Olympics.
He's top five for that team. He's for the Boston Celtics right now
Five Boston Celtics superstar superstar. He's top five. Yeah. Yes
KG was only a one time all right. He was a one-time all-in be a player You know, hey McKiss he can come off the bench like on you guys say no, okay?
See my thing. Yeah
Right Russell he was drafted there. Okay, so there bird guys came
There
Because that's drought Boston had for a long time before KG
He was a one. KG had nothing to do with him. KG, six, seven years there,
he was a one-time all-NBA player.
Ted Murray had three first teams and a third team.
That's how big his impact was.
But that one year.
His impact didn't do nothing.
That was it.
What are you talking about?
Impact got a screen.
Right, so I mean,
Jason Tatum and KG can both switch. Who want to come off the bench next?
I know Jalen Brown is starting.
So I know that.
So he ain't before that motherfucker.
Good luck.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we are back.
It is 2025.
Come off the bench.

We appreciate everybody watching at home.
We appreciate everybody in the audience today to celebrate Gil's birthday.
We are storming the arena for January 6th, taking our day back.
But let's keep this thing moving.
So after finishing second in MVP voting last season,
Shea Gildas Alexander is on a mission to throw Joker as the best player in the league.
One player ready to co-sign SGA as MVP is Anthony Edwards,
who had this to say to ESPN's Tim McMahon after the Thunder beat the Wolves on New Year's Eve,
saying, quote,
The MVP of the NBA, he's unguardable.
I don't know if they could give it to Jokic again.
Yeah, I would say Shea.
Yeah, he's looking like the MVP, man.
He's consistent every night.
His team going to give him the ball and just let him rock out every night.
It's nothing to think about.
Hey, get Shea the ball, and he going to get busy,
and then we're going to figure it out after that.
I love watching that.
It's incredible, man.
I hope they give MVP to him this year for sure.
I feel like he should have won it last year,
but he's playing out of his mind right now Yeah You the one. You the one. You the best. You the best, daddy. You the best, baby.

Damn.
That's a fit, daddy.
That's hot.
Wait, what was this interview?
He did that to Kevin Durant, but he was busting his ass.
He was busting Kevin Durant?
OK.
So we know how it is.
But we know it ain't going to go out there and do what it do.
So why leave him playing with his ass?
He didn't give Kyrie that respect.
Huh?
He didn't give Kyrie that respect.
What'd he say?
He didn't show love to Kyrie.
He said, I got to go out there and.
Yeah, but what I'm saying, he was saying that.
I'm not doing that.
But he was going out there... Man, look at that pair of pants.
What's that?
What's that?
Ain't nobody want to hear this shit, man.
Man, these are...
Nah, man.
They're supposed to be a one-line...
Talk about him.
He really...
One thing for sure, two things for sure.
He full of shit.
Full of shit.
Full of fucking shit right now.
Why you got to stand on that side? Why you standing on that? Hey, hey, hey. He let you try to change. He full of shit. Full of shit. Full of fucking shit right now. Listen, if I didn't want to stand on that side, why you standing on that side?
He let you try to change.
He full of shit.
Ten toes down.
Try to change.
Ten toes down.
In baby war, motherfucker.
Ant-Man going to...
Ant-Man going to...
No diddy.
What the...
No diddy.
He going to be slippery giving them 50.
Ant-Man going to give them 50.
That's what we doing.
We standing on Ant.
So SGA had this response.
He could give a compliment.
So SGA had this response to Ant-Man showing them love.
It's a really good feeling.
Whoa.

You won.
You won.
You won.
You won.
You won.
You won.
You won.
You won.
You won.
You won.
You won.
You won.
You won. You won. You very immature. Look at my roof. Look at my roof. Look at my roof.
Ball up top, man.
Check it out.
Ball up top.
Ball up top.
As a reminder, Underdog does not support the statements
that are made on this show.
Shit, man.
Listen, man.
Bill did not support the statements.
You going to be here all night?
You going to be here?
Oh, man.
Listen, man.
I'll be right back.
I'm going to be a little late.
Oh, shit.
But we got to give the Thunder...
We know who he voting for for All-Star starting.
Shit.
We got to give the Thunder some love, though.
Thunder currently holding down top spot in the West at a 30-5,
seven-game lead in the midst of a franchise record 15-game winning streak.
Thunder franchise record 15 game winning streak,
but that does not include
their loss to the Bucks
in the NBA Cup
championship game.
So SGA has been
the catalyst to OKC's success.
I'm trying, Lord.
I'm trying.
Look at that line.
Fuck that line.
Fuck that line.
Habitual line stepper.
Go ahead, man.
It's my bad.
No.
Like I said,
Thunder franchise record
15-game win streak
does not include
their loss to the Bucks
in the NBA Cup Championship
because that game
does not count.
SGA has been the catalyst
to OKC's success,
averaging 31 points,
six assists,
six rebounds,
two steals,
and one block per game
this season
on 52-36-89
shooting splits.
And according to
StatMamba,
SGA is one of only
four guards in NBA history
to average 30-plus points per game in a 15-game win streak.
The other three are James Harden, Steph Curry, and MJ,
all of which who won MVPs in the season that they did it.
So I already know the first part of your question,
do you respect Ant-Man for showing SGA love?
We've gotten past that point.
Yes.
But do you agree with what Ant-Man is saying about SGA and him deserving to be?
the MVP this year
I'm gonna just keep brief
Yes, I
Mean honest in there
Oh my god
Donovan Mitchell in there. Are you ready to give the Cavs number one option Donovan Mitchell? Yes, some 82 games. Hell. Yeah, mr. B
cast what number one last year.
I mean, and I know his numbers ain't as high, but
what was Derrick Rose's numbers when he
won MVP? So Cavs have the best record in the
NBA right now. Thunder
have the best record in the Western Conference, one game different.
I like that.
I like that.
But Derrick,
the optics of what Derrick Rose was doing,
it just looked bad. Yeah, I get it. But if, say, you're probably ready to admit about Derrick, the optics of what Derrick Rose was doing, it just looked bad. Yeah, I get it.
But if, say, say, say.
So you're probably ready to admit about Derrick Mitchell?
Donovan Mitchell?
Donovan Mitchell.
No, no, no.
I can't.
No, I'm not going to sit there and cap.
Like, they are having a good year, and he's, like, they're number one, right?
Is he top five?
If he can put together, like, a couple 40-point games, like, you know,
like before the All-star after the bro
He has to be in there. They should be in it, but number one
340 point games are believing like the last about Jason Taylor. Why don't never bring a visit like I said Donovan
It's a nice to oh, I mean like I was saying not doing that soft shit Donovan Mitchell. He averaged 28 though. Hey
Tatum is from saying that other dude over there with him?
Average 23 or some shit.
The other one averaged almost 30.
But you second.
Why are you number two?
You got to give the Cavs their respect.
But they whooped the Cavs' ass
without Jalen Brown.
They did. The last time they played,
Jalen Brown wasn't playing. It was just Tatum.
And they won.
I mean, all right, you won.
I'm just saying.
The problem with SGA, SGA, they've only lost five games.
They've only lost five games.
And he's averaging 31.
31, 66.
How many games did Cavs lost?
Four.
Woo.
And you're averaging 22.
We're not even saying that.
How many games Boston lost?
I'm in the West.
I don't care.
I'm in the East. I'm in Wolves. I'm in the West. Steve Nash averaged what? I don't care. I'm in the East.
I'm in the NBA.
I'm in the NBA.
Steve Nash won MVP twice, averaging under 20 points a game.
Okay.
You average a lot of assists, though.
I'm averaging eight more points than you.
Right now?
And you're one game.
You have one game lost.
19 and 16.
He's averaging what?
Steve Nash averaged 19 and 16 on his MVP runs and what 14 is 14 on one of the craziest thing
Yeah, it was how many games is that win a year before the twice one was 14 though
Yeah, it was
What I'm saying is Steve Nash average 16 and 12 and I got a little team that the team here before that you know
You got a factor in that we know okay
They only won like 19 games a year before. They just added him
and they won 65 games.
You don't get rewarded by
the turnaround of the team.
That's how you got rewarded.
That's how you got rewarded. He actually
performed at an MVP level. 14
and what's the name? It's the
whole package of it. But y'all
still think Mobile didn't All-Star after
they only lost four...
They only lost four games, right?
Yes.
So Mobley's an all-star, right?
31-4.
I wouldn't be mad
that if Mobley made it.
They should have, what,
two or three?
They should have two.
Two.
Two?
You grab three.
You got to go
over Garland?
Yes.
What's Garland's numbers
right now?
He averaged at 20. He averaged at 20. Mobley aver? Yes. What's Garland's numbers right now? He averaged a 20.
But what was he averaging?
What was he averaging?
19.
If all three made it, I'd turn.
I'd turn.
If we weren't degraded like that, we couldn't.
Of course we couldn't put him in.
But now that this is happening.
But right now, I'm just saying he gotta be in the cut.
Right now, it should be Shea.
It should be Shea.
19 and 9.
It should be...
Giannis.
Giannis averaged a 32. It should be Joker behind him. Joker's number one. It should be Shea. It should be Shea. It should be... Giannis. Giannis has the number one.
It should be Joker behind him.
Joker number one.
It should be Joker behind him.
Darius Garland averaging 21 and 7 right now.
21 and 7?
Those are great numbers.
Donovan Mitchell averaging 23, 5 assists, 4 rebounds.
How much is Mobley?
Mobley averaging 19 and 9 boards.
Yeah, that's going...
They're playing.
They might get all three.
All three of them.
All three might make it.
All three of them. 19 and what? 19 and 9. All three of them. All three might make it. All three of them.
19 and what?
19 and 9.
All three of them.
All three going to make it.
All three of them going.
Woo!
And all three of them going.
They falling.
And I can tell you this.
They falling.
Y'all going to be mad I said this.
What they're going to do is.
All three of them going.
One Boston player is going to make it.
We know who that is.
And then they're going to take three Cavs players instead of two and two.
You don't think.
They're going to take two. They're going to take two Boston players. That's great for sure watch that's for sure
For sure, that's cool. Who don't make it brown. No, I don't think
Makes it over brown white. No white. They were trying to say they gonna say Garland. No
Now that I pick somebody else.
Watch.
Who else is there to look?
Boston might get three before Cleveland.
Maxie.
They going to go by the runs.
You think Boston will get three?
If Cleveland has the number one record,
they always pull two or three from the number one record.
There's not going to be three from the number two record.
They would get three before Cleveland.
No, no, not three.
No, not three from the number two.
But you don't think Brown would make it?
Brown and Trae are the only ones.
No, what I'm saying is
the pull of third from Cleveland.
Oh.
The pull of third from Cleveland
has to come from Boston.
Why does it got to come from Boston?
Why doesn't somebody else
at the bottom of the East up?
Because it's...
Why didn't Trae get white
to be All-Star?
Trae going to be done dirty anyway.
They're trying to get
Derrick White to be All-Star.
You don't think Trae Young
going to make the All-Star game?
They take him home through...
You don't think Trae Young going to make the All-Star game? They take him both to the... You don't think Trey Young
going to make the All-Star game?
No.
If they take three Cleveland...
If they take three...
If they take three Cleveland
Cavaliers,
Trey Young going to make it.
Trey Young ain't making it.
Trey Young ain't making it.
No.
Trey Young ain't making it.
Who makes it?
Who makes it?
You got Brunson.
You got Brunson and Cat.
Two.
Right?
You got Brunson and Cat
over there. Okay, we're gonna do Giannis
Mmm guarantee you got Donovan Mitchell guaranteed and then they have to pull one more from this
Know what I'm saying?
I'm just talking about locks. Yeah
What would be making it over a bowl the dude from the heat?
Nobody from the heat making it the center. He always made
This is a relax therefore really okay, right? Oh, oh boy in here on the East
put boy, you got a
Do we go? Yeah, I'm no, I got your honest already. Yeah, honest Bob Lee in here on the east
We got the four Yeah, he get voted in there seven no love for Dame Tatum. Tatum Brown. LaMelo. LaMelo leading the round. LaMelo.
Seven. Yeah, he getting voted in there.
No love for Dame?
No. No Dame. No Dame.
Alright, that's it.
Hold on. Hold on.
We got the dice.
And B.
Hell.
Maxie? No. It's All Star.
Maxie. No. It's all-star. Maxie.
No.
It's all-star.
No.
You got to pick.
But he's not getting voted in.
Coach is not going to put him in.
Coach is not going to put him in.
Yeah.
Didn't they just come out with the votes?
Where's the vote?
Where did they just come out with the votes?
He's not getting voted in.
That was just the fan vote.
That's part of the process.
What was he at on that?
What did that look like?
Was he leading that?
No.
Yeah, what was Embiid in that?
Embiid. Somebody from Orlando got a guy. Yonis had like one. Yonis had like one. Nobody from Orlando got a guy on his head like one nobody Orlando beat is eighth right now in the East Fund Court
Yes, he's what?
Yeah, nobody from Orlando nobody from Orlando you see them both nobody from Miami
Ja, that's why I was
Oh shit, okay
She ain't jay at this point the fact that we're having this Yeah, the fact that we're fucking up. I mean, we're not saying like this. We talk about locks
That's a team that means hey, hey seven blocks that we have nobody from Chicago. No, so okay
Yeah, I heard nobody right, Indiana. Nobody in Indiana, Indiana. Nobody from Chicago. Nope one from Milwaukee
That's why I said White's. So, Kade, one of the possible.
That's why I said Boston don't get three all-stars.
So, Kade, one of the possible from Milwaukee.
Them boys in Cleveland are Boston going to get three.
Cleveland are going to get three.
Boston are going to get two.
Cleveland are going to get three.
Yeah.
Cleveland might get three.
I mean, Boston might get three.
White going to be all-star.
Boston might get three.
White going to be all-star.
Where is White's number?
No.
White going to be all-star.
Cleveland are going to get three.
Boston are going to get two. Boston are going to get three. Boston's going to get two.
Boston's going to get two.
Boston's going to get three.
Brown for sure.
Three and three on the East, because it ain't, I mean,
what's it going to take for you?
Derek White's 17, five and four.
They put White before they put Garland.
No.
No.
They can't.
They can't do that.
OK.
Garland fucking hooping.
That one is one and seven, too.
Yo, this number's better than having 21 and seven.
Garland hooping.
Derek White off is crazy.
Trae Young and Maxie
gonna get snubbed.
Made it to USA.
Trae Young.
Trae Young.
It's gonna be up
for them two again.
Trae Young could possibly make it.
That's the fucked up thing.
That's a fucked up thing.
Gotti, Benchero,
both was on last year.
So Trae Young, 18.
Gotti, Benchero,
and Halliburton
gonna lead up.
That's what I'm saying.
Trae came from like a sub.
Trae came running for a sub. Yeah. So he'll make it again. Sorey came from like a sub. Trey came in for a sub.
Yeah, so he make it again. So he make it, he make it. Bam out of bio. Bam, Bam slipped in. Bam was automatically on there.
So yeah, oh yeah, they're six. So yeah.
That's what I said. Fucking Tyra Hero.
He's the best player on the team. That's the fucked up part. Yeah. Okay.
But back to our
and SGA conversation
before we veer it off
as we tend to do here
on this program.
He really did just
circle back to that.
He just circled back,
though.
That's the problem with,
like, that's...
That's no problem, dude.
That's exquisite hosting.
The reason the
record positive
orientation class is
for some reason
the teacher always
want to bring you back
to what you veered off of you gotta learn the lesson
So right now y'all got SGA over Joker right now in the MVP race. I do. Not even close. Oh, man, it's not even close, man.
Stop.
I got Yannis.
Which one?
Yannis averaging 32.
Who?
Yannis averaging 32.
Man, with the Yannis, bro.
I told y'all, y'all.
He got to do more.
Are they even 50%?
Are they even 50%?
32 and 11.
32 and 11.
Joker can't be.
It can't be one and two.
32 and 11.
One's averaging 31.
Hell no.
Four loss.
Five losses. Joker at five right now.
No other Hall of Famer, no other 75.
I generate more offense than you, and you a point guard.
Move around, bro.
So let's talk about it.
Joker at five, and I generate more offense than you.
Joker may not care about winning his fourth MVP,
but the Nugget Superstar has been cooking this season,
currently second in MVP betting odds behind SGA.
So, Joker went head-to-head
with Wimby in back-to-back games this weekend,
continued to show his dominance, putting up
back-to-back 40 pieces, and in those two games
he averaged 44 points, 14 rebounds,
10 assists.
And for the season,
lost 1-1-1. For the season, he's averaging
32 points, which is a career high,
along with 13 rebounds 10 assists 9.7
But we round up here on this show on 55 47 81 shooting splits his 47.3
3-point percentage is currently leading the league
He also leads the league with six 40-point games this season and after the slow start the Nuggets have climbed a fourth in the West
So will joke it be the victim of voter fatigue in the MVP?
No, it's not voter fatigue.
It's not voter fatigue?
So you're telling me that 32, 13, and 10.
32 and 9.7.
No.
We round up in the NBA.
We're not giving triple-doubles.
Oh, my.
We round up.
No.
Oh, my.
You can't round up on a triple-double.
You can't round up on a triple-double.
Oh, my. You can't round up on a triple-double. Wow. So we usually round up. No. Oh, my. You can't round up on a triple double. You can't round up on a triple double.
You can't round up on a triple double.
Wow.
You can't round up on a triple double.
So we usually round up.
And if it was Russ.
No, Russ had a triple double.
Russ had a triple double.
We didn't round up.
It was a triple double.
But if it was, Russ.
30, 11, 11.
We rounding it up.
No, you round up.
You rounding it up.
9.78.
He don't get that triple double, though.
If he get the triple double, he gets it.
He don't get it.
We're not going to pre-give it to him. We know math, though, right? No, yeah, we know math. 9.78. He don't get that triple-double, though. If he get the triple-double, he gets it. He don't get it. We're not pre-giving to him.
We know math, though, right?
No, yeah, we know math.
We was in class.
We paid attention.
The word roundup.
They put it in there for a reason.
Where it is.
It's still.
It's still.
It's still.
Ten.
Triple-double.
It's still four-flag.
31.5, 13 rebounds, 9.7 assists.
They still tied for eight.
They all tied.
Listen, the triple doubles down the line
better than almost.
For a big?
MVP.
No, no, triple double for a big.
Almost is not good enough.
No, no, no, I'm just saying, he will get it.
Of course he will.
Just like he almost got it last time.
They ain't going to get it.
They going to be in seventh place. So if I'm here for a workplace right now, I'm just saying, he will get it. Of course he will. Just like he almost got it last time he lost. They ain't going to get it. They going to be in seventh place.
So if I'm here for a workplace right now, I'm just passing the ball.
47% from first.
Right?
I'm passing up shots.
I got to lay up.
47% from first.
He going to get it.
He going to get it.
That's why they going to get it.
Shooting 47% on nearly five attempts per game.
Five attempts a game, I'm shooting almost 50% from three.
But what about the other?
Five attempts?
And inside with the Lakers.
What about the youngest? What about the second
youngest team in the NBA?
I thought we were just supposed to
root for them.
And he averaged 31.
And he's carrying.
And he's bopping everybody.
This is the second
youngest team in the NBA.
And the only reason they're second is because they got
an old motherfucking name Caruso on their team.
Yo. Other than that, they'll be the
youngest team in the NBA,
only with five losses.
Gil, we got a question from K-1.
LeBron's a BNP.
Shut up, Nick.
He averaged 25, 8 and 8, 9.
Shit. Jokers, they both in the
same place.
Tied for fifth.
Same thing they were, same place they were last year, right?
Yeah.
Right?
Shea averaging pretty much the same thing he was averaging last year, right?
And Nikola's having a better year this year than he had last year.
His team is worse.
But I don't, he had a better, he's, right there, they're fourth.
Yeah.
They finished third last year. Why would team come into play?
It's in the same spot last year so they're the same the Nuggets in the same spot they were last year
As you ate them in the same spot they were last year and the coldest numbers is better this show man
You got to give it to him. That's all I'm saying. That's player progression to him.
That was my argument. You remember that was my argument? His numbers are better. That was my argument?
But how much he averaged last year? 26. Across the board everything is up.
Remember my argument last year? It don't matter what the numbers are Nick.
Every across the board. Hey across the board. Hey, across the board.
So last season,
Joker averaged 26, 12.4 rebounds, 9 assists.
It was almost a triple-double last year.
But his numbers are better, though.
But his numbers are better.
Shooting percentages from the field,
three, free throw,
more assists, more points,
more rebounds.
And that's years after doing the same thing
Gave it to the same Kobe and LeBron every year if you're going off that
Two points fair argument fair are not these
And I'm the same one that said they could have gave it to LeBron James every year. Yes
You should have did that they should but they did not so we thought oh
For him. No, I'm'm not rolling so he ain't worthy you're tied in the same place as a 40 year old those numbers you're supposed to be number one who Denver same record Denver's fourth but those numbers are not the same
it don't matter
he averaged 30 LeBron averaged
32
32 11 and 10.
Those numbers are nowhere near the close.
24. Not at first. They're not close.
24. But that was my argument.
Remember, I said it last year.
I said with the stats he have,
I said with the stats he have
and he won MVP and his team was
third, he has the most
upside.
He's only averaging 26. What if he averages 30 next year? What if he averages triple-double? What if they're second or third? He wins the most upside right? I said you got he's only averaging 26. What if he average 30 nation?
What if he average is triple-double? Yeah, whatever their second third he wins the MVP. Yes, you can't no matter what anyone does
Like you get what if I almost know what I'm saying?
What what what could Luca have done?
I'm with you from his last year stats of this year to win it like so yo
He's winning last year with the numbers he did, he has the biggest upside.
Shea was sitting here like, oh, you averaged that last year.
No matter what, you're the same. But hold on.
I gotta average 40. But we hold it.
But, but, but, no, hold on.
Whoa, whoa. We're not gonna do that,
though. Hold on. What do we say about it?
So Shea,
but this is Shea third, fourth, you're averaging
30, right? Consistent 30.
What do we say about the other guys, though?
They won by number one.
And B, what do we say about NB?
Got to go up.
Got to go up.
We all said it.
Anthony Davis.
Yes, got to go up.
We did.
We said it at the beginning of this year.
We said it.
Everybody.
And then we didn't expect Jokic to go up.
But that's what I'm saying.
We thought he was going to stay.
No, we did.
We did.
Because he was 26-14.
That's what I'm saying. We thought he was going to stay. No, we did. We did. Because he was 26-14. That's what I'm saying.
He has the biggest uphill.
Right?
If you have a sturdy-year team is when you get better, you can only go down.
Right?
The fact that you stayed is impressive.
But you can't go up.
You only go up if your team gets worse.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. If your team gets worse, no
There's in the same place
They finish second I think it was thunder well, but where were they last
They were So what was Minnesota last year? So what was Minnesota last year? It wasn't fourth. I promise you.
They were fourth.
At this point in time?
Right before the fucking break. Last year.
At this time.
I don't know if this is exactly what it was.
It wasn't in first.
It wasn't in first.
Yes, it was.
It was.
It was just him and Denver.
So we're talking about where they finished.
Damn where they are now.
Where they finished.
The numbers that they finished the season at
where they team
finished at
right
it's the same
the Denver Nuggets
for second
OKC finished above them
Shea averaged the same
numbers right
one game difference
one game difference
Nikola's numbers are better
Shea is the same
they are one right now
and Shea's record is different
and remember
Shea's record is different
Shea's record is different
Shea averaged
one more point
than he did last year
Joker averaged five more points five more points more rebounds more rebounds Shay average one more point than he did last year. Joker average five more points.
Five more points.
More rebounds.
More rebounds.
And the one more.
And the percentages, too.
And the shooting clips.
That's what I'm saying.
The fact that you second with 28.
Now if you average.
The individual performance.
Let's say if you average 28 and you win second, you win the MVP.
The individual performance.
If you average 27 and you're first, you win the MVP.
If your average're the same
But he's first he wins MVP number the most he has the most upside numbers are good
Because this team is worse. Oh, it's a second this year with those numbers. He's fourth this year with more numbers fourth right now. So why wouldn't his numbers go down because his team is better? But we're in January.
That's why I said it's more impressive.
We're in January.
Oh, my God.
It's not impressive that his go up and they stay the same as well?
The Denver Nuggets are still fourth.
They're fourth.
They were second before.
What's still fourth?
They're second.
They're second.
They're second now.
They got the same record.
No, they were fourth now.
They were second last season. they were second last season.
They were second last season.
I'm not upset at the end of the season.
No, last year, it was...
Of course.
That even sounds better.
It sounds better if they were at the end of the year.
They were second.
If they lose a game, they fall to eighth.
If my numbers were...
If they lose a game, they fall to eighth.
It's only January.
What I'm saying is, there was nobody like Tatum, right?
They were 57-25, had the same amount of wins as the Thunder last year.
Thunder won the tiebreaker.
Thunder were number one seed.
Nuggets were the two seed.
No, but what I'm saying is, but think about the end of the season stats, right?
What does Tatum average for him to even win the MVP from what he did last year?
What did he average last year?
28.
28, right?
He averaged 30.
His team was one.
It's not about averaging.
No, but what I'm saying is, hold on.
It's about being the most valuable player on the floor.
That's not how many points you have.
What I'm saying is, if your team's success is there, your numbers is there,
so what can Tatum have averaged this year to put him in the MVP?
What does Shea have to average from what he did last year, this year, to put him in the MVP. What does Shea have to average from what he did last year, this year,
to put him in the MVP?
The only person who has a chance to bump up
is Jokic because of the points.
If he averages 26, if he averages 28, he wins it.
If his team goes to first, he wins it.
So you think it's just the point,
not the rebounds, assists?
But he can average the same amount.
All he does is go two more points
because the chances of She average of 33 to 34 irrelevant
Yeah
It's a question oh it's called I'm getting better Jordan and I'm more valuable
So gill imagine is nobody has room to prove gill g, do you agree that every year LeBron James is in Cleveland,
that minus the first rookie year,
that he could have been league MVP?
Right?
Fair statement.
Because his numbers every year were...
Consistent.
Consistent, but this is what we expect of him,
to get better, to lead his team,
no matter who was around him.
Right?
This was the expectation of him.
And they could have gave him league MVP
every year if they fucking wanted to.
Right?
Because he was that.
We all, if we had to vote,
we would have been honest.
He would have had more than he has.
Yeah.
Same thing with Nicola, right?
The one year you said he shouldn't have got it, right?
So he has one that's in question.
Last year, yeah.
Yeah.
Well, two that's in question.
Yeah.
Really?
I don't even think about last year.
No questions for me, but go ahead.
It's not, but in the argument of sport, people, right?
And it's the same thing with him right now.
If you really just look at the totality of what he's doing,
the domination that LeBron's exhibit then,
there's no difference in it now.
It is.
Like, imagine somebody wins.
Like, imagine someone wins an MVP, J.K.
I didn't say J.K. won an MVP.
Should have.
No, no, just like Steve Nash.
Should have won it.
Right?
You win an MVP, you average 13, 8, and 9,
and your team is second.
Think about the upside you have with your stats and your team.
If you average 14, 7, and 9, and your team is second, you're supposed to win it again.
If your team is first, and you average 13, 9, and 9, you win it.
So you have more chances throughout your stats to win an MVP.
It's harder for somebody who was first and first.
Like Tatum was first with 28.
He didn't win it. Shea averaged 36 and 5 last year
his team was first he didn't win it what the fuck do these two people got an average all right you
gotta go to 40 what happened what they gotta do more than you've been doing but if my team is Number one. All about size. But what is it about this? It's about impact. They're number one.
Val, you, Nick.
My team is 22 years old.
What is better than number one?
My play.
What the fuck are you talking about?
My play is impactful.
The most per game.
I can go out there and score 30 points a game.
But if I'm missing in the last five minutes of the fucking game,
every fucking time we need you,
you're not our MVP.
We going to the MVP.
That's our MVP. That's my game.
Who the fuck is this?
Wait, wait, hold on.
That's what I'm saying.
Did he say the last five minutes?
No.
Murray's the dude in the last five minutes for Denver.
What are you talking about?
Has he been the dude?
Yes.
Yes.
No, he hasn't.
No, he hasn't.
That's your theory that you made up in your head. Because the way you watch the game, Yes! Kobe has it. Yes! No, he hasn't. No, he hasn't.
That's your theory that you made up in your head.
The way you watch the game, you're like, oh, Uri is the guy.
Don't nobody agree with that shit just because you say it, bro.
If anybody else is watching the game, they can say, no, Uri is not that guy in the form.
Because you still got to play off Kobe Bryant, right?
I mean, you still got to play off Joker, right?
Just like he said about Shaq.
Hey, as long as Shaq in the game, Shaq is the problem.
He gets all the attention.
That means that Kobe can become the fourth quarter guy
because who you got to double?
It's the same fucking shit.
Joker is the guy.
The only reason Jamal Murray is the guy in the fourth
is because you got to double this nigga.
You contradict yourself all the time, bro. I don't even know what you're saying because you gotta double this nigga you contradict yourself all the time, bro
I don't even know what you're saying. You gotta double fix yourself. Oh, you know, I will say any
Back baby ain't got nobody was about who was the second best player on?
Ocasey they'd nice. Is he better than Murray J do no
J do this man is doing with a younger team. Yeah, they have no winning experience
And he's balling
You are
You are
Got a question you were three-time MVP You and the VIP. You up there. You can't get back here.
You can't get back here.
You are a three-time MVP.
You can't get back here.
My whole team is college agents.
We don't care about you.
We're college agents.
We don't care about you.
And we're better than y'all.
We don't care about you.
Two years here.
We don't care.
When Michael Jordan was the MVP, who was first?
He always go back to Michael Jordan.
Why do we keep bringing this man up?
That's the only good point he got is Michael Jordan.
When Michael Jordan won MVP the next year, who team was first?
Nobody.
When LeBron James was MVP, who team was first the next year?
Nobody.
How about Kobe Bryant? When he won MVP, who team was first? Nobody. How about Kobe Bryant?
When he won MVP, who team was?
Nobody.
Right?
There's no way.
I'm MVP.
So Gil.
Hey, wait.
Are those the only MVPs in the history of the NBA?
We're talking about Shay.
We're talking about Shay right now.
I'm talking about the only MVP in the history of the NBA.
You are the only MVP.
And somebody keeps beating you.
Yeah.
And somebody keeps beating you.
What are you?
So if somebody keeps beating you, right, what did you so if somebody keeps beating you right? What did you is what did you expect to do?
What do we expect him to do if somebody keep beating you try to do more
You're trying to do more
Why Joker can't average 36 32? He averages 32 right now. I've been doing that.
No, you haven't.
No, you haven't.
No, you haven't.
No, you haven't.
No, you haven't.
No, you haven't.
He's never averaged 31.
Thank you.
No, you haven't.
Thank you.
Who averaged this?
What happened?
No, you haven't.
They didn't come prepared.
31.
30.
It's 2025.
They didn't come prepared.
31.
Thank you. Goddamn. And what happened? Huh? Huh?
They fucked him?
Who did?
Yes.
The voters.
Metaphorically.
Metaphorically, ladies and gentlemen.
So, but...
So...
You're getting nervous.
If I've been averaging consistent 30, right?
Consistent 30.
And I haven't won it.
Man.
And I haven't won a championship.
I haven't won MVP.
We were 20.
I haven't...
Hold on. I haven't gotten to the conference finals. I haven't gotten to the. I haven't won MVP. We were 20. I haven't. Hold on.
I haven't got to the conference finals.
We were 20.
They still 20.
I'm 21.
When the oldest gets 80.
What I'm saying is the average age on the team is 22.
They're the second youngest team.
Blazers is the number one.
They're the youngest team.
So it's good.
Number two is okay.
It's good when you want to use it it's good when you want
to use it and bad when it don't count you're an MVP a champion and you're letting a 22 year old
team be in front of you in the same conference but I haven't who has a championship that means
I'm not the MVP so who has the championship does that mean I'm not the MVP so does Shay have a
championship oh man no they don't supposed to so So does he supposed to? Which Gil? Do we expect him?
So you cool with him coming back just averaging 30, losing the second round?
Averaging 30, losing the second round?
Are we talking about regular season?
Same numbers.
Same numbers.
We have five losses.
What are we talking about?
Yeah.
Come on.
I'm not just saying this.
We're just talking about it.
Listen.
Is he supposed to grow year in, year out?
Yes.
So just being here.
What?
Being here.
Just like Jason.
Even though it's 30.
Why do I need to?
Even though it's 30.
Why do I need to average more?
Because you ain't got over the hump.
He's averaged number one.
Deal.
Because you ain't got over the hump. What I'm saying. We have five losses. What do I need?
About now if I want to win, yo, you want to be talking about now? I'm talking about the totality of the season
Yes, he's average 30. Yeah
Shit ain't won shit.
Ain't got over the hump.
Boom, every year.
We expect you to come back.
You averaged 30?
We want you to average 31.
You averaged 31?
We want you to average 32.
Yes.
If you ain't been getting it done.
Steve Nash didn't get it done.
We talking about Chase.
Steve Nash got to the Western Conference Finals. He didn't get it done. Steve he got to the Western Conference Finals.
He didn't get it done.
Even after he got to the Western Conference.
He didn't get it done.
Two times MVP.
He didn't get it done.
But what he's saying is you average 30,
and then you out first round.
Earning 30, out first round.
You're not.
What is it?
If I'm averaging 30, and my team is number one,
and we lose it, what is it?
Because they gave him the motherhook.
Because there's something.
And then the following year, and I'm averaging 30, and we winning what the fuck am i trying to average 36 for who said 36
but what about that see that's what he does what do i need that
last year he averaged 30 okay this year he's averaging 31 What are you talking about? They got to pay now. You said 30 to 31.
Last year, he averaged 30.
This year, he's averaging 31.
What year before that?
31.
So he went 30, went backwards.
He went 31.
Went backwards.
We was 14.
Oh, my God.
We was 14.
Oh, my God.
He just can't say it. he just can't say it.
He just can't say it.
Just say it.
Not the Bill Belou.
Just say it, bro.
Not the Bill Belou.
Hey, sell out brothers on the next Jeremy Sessions.
Hold on, hold on.
Sell out brothers on the next.
And they love that white man.
Hold on.
Sell out brothers on the next.
Hey, he ain't white.
No, let's just do it, bro.
And he ain't white.
He's Canadian.
He's Canadian.
He's foreign.
He's Canadian.
This is insane, man. So what we're saying, he aver't white. And he ain't white. He's Canadian. He's Canadian. He's foreign.
He's foreign.
This is insane, man.
So what we're saying, he averaged 31.
The way they crashing out footed Europeans.
He averaged 31.
I'm not crashing out feet.
They love they Europeans.
He averaged 31.
They were 40 and 42.
You almost.
All right.
40 and 42.
He averaged 30, one point less.
They were 57 and 25.
Okay.
Championship, right?
Championship won?
It was a championship.
It was a championship.
It was a championship. It was a championship. It was a championship. It was a championship. It was a championship. 40 and 42 he averaged 31 point less they were 57 and 25. Okay championship, right?
He went down one less one less point they win they get 17 more games that's more than improvement, okay
He's averaging 31 and they only have five loss. What's the average at the end of the year?
Or is it 30? No, no, no, no, it's a 31 at the end of the year. What do they have?
That's why he went that he went down one point and what did it have so far? What does that the show?
It don't matter. It's a regular. It's a regular season. What is that?
During this time frame that we're naming is it says the championship and MVP. Thank you. That's what he's done
When he won he had a set he had a so they wanted so while Yoko's is winning the championship we
OKC was 40 and 42.
Right?
They were coming into the season.
Denver was ranked one.
OKC ranked 14th.
Right?
One.
14th.
Let them know.
And at the end of the season,
the 14th team became the best team.
Let them know.
And how many points did Shea average?
And how many points did Shea average? 30 the guy, and how many points did Shay average?
30.
Okay, so 30.
And the guy who won the MVP, who was supposed to be number one, dropped down.
Okay.
And they gave it to the...
Who lost in the first round?
This has nothing to do with the...
This is pre...
Playoffs don't matter.
Playoffs don't...
So they went from preseason one, going back-to-back champs, okay, and they got worse he got the MVP
What does this tell the person who improved himself?
For the betterment of the team with him with the team 17 games winner. What do you already don't mean it means better luck next year
Yes, we expect you to come back out of better luck next next year everybody else do it. Oh everybody else
I see that many people do that what I'm saying is why do I need to average what I'm saying is
What are you telling this kid his team? He's averaging he's averaging 31 and he they're number one
How many you and he lost five?
They only lost five. What do you say? Yeah for you to be be the MVP, you got to average seven more points, six more points, four more points. I got to take away from our team now.
The lose.
The lose.
The reason Jokic is averaging is because his team was losing.
But you want to be MVP.
His team was losing.
You wanted to be MVP takes away from the team.
His team was losing.
You thinking about being MVP takes away from the team?
Yes.
In itself.
No.
In itself.
But Joker don't worry about it because his game speaks for itself. Because you was. No, no, no Joker. Don't worry about it because his game speaks for itself cuz you was that no
No, no, no, no, he's very very good. Will you go for your stats your team?
The reason right Joker started averaging that shit cuz his team was losing. Oh
What was the right What was their record
when he started doing all this?
What was their record when he won a championship?
They just got back to form.
What was his record when he won a championship?
We're talking about now.
Let's talk about when he won.
Let's talk about when he won.
What was his record and his stats
when he was a champion?
I wish he would have gained rest.
Let's talk about the only thing that matters.
Y'all talk about shit that don't matter.
It don't matter.
If you ain't win no chip, if you ain't get no dip,
you can shut them lips.
I wish Russ would have died.
So 2022-23 season.
No, last year.
What is their record this year?
Where were they at when Yogi started doing
all this stuff they team suck face
Do he was the only player playing? Well the team sucked
So what you were saying when you start thinking about your numbers the teeth exactly he had to do all of this
He was thinking about his numbers
No, I'm saying he couldn't have been thinking about what
Was Joker focused?
We all complained.
They were losing, brother.
I ain't going to make the point.
My bad.
You don't need that.
We're losing.
My bad.
We want you to make your point.
They're 6-4.
They're 6-4.
What is your world?
They're 6-4 in the last 10.
OK, see, I'm pretty sure it's what?
They lost to the Spurs, bro.
Oh, 15 games with the Spurs.
Minus the loss to the Bucs in the NBA Cup Championship.
I got a question for you, right?
I was just looking at something.
Uh-oh.
It went away.
I was looking at somebody's stats.
So when you were playing, right, you were, right?
So each year, did you, so when you made the jump,
you averaged 19, like, your first when you started?
Uh-huh.
So you averaged 19 again?
The next year, 25.
And then you averaged 25 again?
29.
OK.
What does that mean?
You don't want to know what it means.
But it was the 30, the 30s.
You don't want to know what he's getting at.
You don't want to know about that progression he was getting to.
If I average 25.
So we expect, so if you was coming back averaging 25,
y'all losing the first round.
Come back 25, y'all losing the first round.
25, you're losing the second round.
So that's, but you didn't do that.
But you didn't do that. I averaged 25.
No, you went from 19. 19 19 you went from 20 to 26
So you're so you round enough. It was 19.6. No 20
I'm sure I'm not the hope 26 and I went from rounding up. I went from nine
19.5 I say lost we lost the all thing you got better. We lost I upped my production
Okay, why to 20 for you because Larry Hughes got hurt and but that's the only reason yes, okay. Oh god
We know it's because of somebody I ain't even me. I ain't even me. I'm going. There you are. There you are. Thank you.
Thank you.
So you're average 25.
So hold on.
So hold on.
Was Larry there the next year?
Hold on.
Was Larry there the next year?
No.
So who did y'all get?
Deshaun Stevenson.
And who else?
So y'all had a better team?
No, we had a worse team from the scoring part,
so I had to jump up my scoring again., keep up. It's okay. Yes, right
So you the kind of a guy our record was worse, but you came back after 25 again, and we still won more
Better the right now when did y'all win more when you average 25 when you have 25 or 25 or 25?
So why did you have a 25 again?
We lost 20 points score. Huh? We lost a 20-point score. Y'all won more.
No, we won more on 25.
Why did you average 25 again?
Larry Hughes left.
So our team was worse.
So I did more production.
But y'all won more at 25.
Yes.
So why didn't you stay at 25?
Because our team got worse.
Yeah.
Sir.
Yeah.
We lost a 20-point score, sir.
Tell him.
He went to Cleveland. Hey, we lost a 20-point score
Why did your
25 is what got y'all wins?
You lost somebody.
They lost somebody that averaged a lot of points. Cool.
Cool.
Cool.
Because, you know, I think OKC lost somebody.
OKC lost somebody.
Go.
They lose Barry.
They picked up Caruso.
Do your thing, boss man.
Do your thing, boss man.
You lost somebody.
You still have your 25.
You were winning.
Why didn't I score?
Why did I score? Why did you change it? Because did you change it? So let's play hypothetical, right? So let's play hypothetical, right?
So let's play hypothetical.
So let's play hypothetical.
He was gone. So so let's so let we know larry left like when we know larry left. Yeah, let's play hypothetical. Uh-huh
Larry don't get hurt. Uh-huh, right?
Y'all lose First round don't make hurt. Uh-huh. Right? Y'all lose.
First round, don't make the play, whatever it is.
You coming back average 25 again?
I wouldn't average 25 if Larry wouldn't.
I wasn't the...
So, just so we get the story, just so we get the story, hypothetical.
We all know the facts about Larry.
No, no, no, no.
The facts are... Let's say Larry is healthy. When he was healthy, I was averaging 19. Hypothetically, we all know
Larry's healthy when he was healthy. I was averaging 19
On the team's is how Larry Hughes and Antoine Jamison was leading
For all-star when Larry got hurt is when I took over ours I started averaging about 28 to 29 that's how I got
to 25 for the season and I became the all-star I invited him and said this is
actually your all-star so come on and dim it with me it was his all-star why
would I is y'all sound because he was the all-star in the team I wasn't the
also ain't no all-star he didn't get picked you know I think it no he didn't
get picked so he's not because he was hurt. Well, that's what it's not
What you did He said he said he said if Larry don't get every time every would have been me Larry would have been
Are y'all
That average 30 y'all say somebody average 31 and number one say what I do what I'm saying is that sound cool Let me say if I ever win any piece because I got somebody in front of you doing more. No
It don't matter. I'm doing more than you.
And number one, I lost five games, and I averaged 31.
It's not most valuable team, Nick.
But I averaged 31.
It's not most valuable team, Nick.
This shit sound crazy.
It don't.
No, you got to average 33 to get MVP, not 31.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you got to be in the sixth seed.
And you got to have a level rebound.
You got to be in the sixth seed.
And you got to have nine assists.
You're a point guard, and you only average five assists.
I thought you was about winning. I thought you was about winning.
Are you about stats?
It's one and two.
Are you about stats or winning?
Nick, it's one or two.
No.
It's one and two.
What you talking about?
Hey, can I ask you a question?
I'm doing both.
One and two.
That means we're matching up to see who wins.
I got 31, and I'm number one.
Nick, that means one versus two matches up to see who won, right?
You're telling kids they got to average more and lose more.
That's crazy to me. If it's one versus one, we're going to match up to see who won, right? You're telling kids they got to average more and lose more.
If it's 1v1, we're going to match up to see who the championship is. I can't get my son to tell me,
hey, son, you got to average 33 and lose.
What the fuck? No.
If I'm winning, I'm winning.
Hey, son, why do you want to be the MVP so bad?
Who said he wanted to be?
Hey, son, why do you want to be the MVP so bad?
They asking the question.
He ain't never said I want to be MVP.
So relax and move around.
That's what I'm doing. And somebody got the crown already. Somebody got the crown already
I want to hear me y'all begging it by being a part of the conversation see this is great over here
Oh, it's hips. Yeah
With the horse with the horse with the horse
Making a case they gotta make a case. Hey, we don't want To better your case for it?
Yes.
It just sounds crazy.
To better your case for it?
Absolutely.
That's right now.
We're talking about at the end of the year.
It's Shrek and Donkey.
There's a reason Jokic is number two now.
Whatever they're talking about, he's two.
Yes, right now.
He's two.
Right now.
Okay, right now. He's two right now
Okay right now
He can be number two right now we're not talking about right now we're talking about what is all said and done
I'm the one that I think Shay should have got it last year. Yes. Yes You're not gonna do nothing but he did team one or two. He's not no. Oh, so we asked the chat
There's no even watching him. They do suck? No. So we asked the chat. I don't know if you've been watching him.
They do suck.
They do suck.
One person's great.
It reminds me of the Bucs.
I thought they were 9-2.
Two players.
No offense.
Two players is great.
Two players is great.
The rest of the team suck.
What'd you say?
9-2 what?
Sounds like the Lakers.
With Westbrook in the starting lineup.
So we asked the chat.
I don't give a fuck about that.
They 6-4 in the last 10.
So we asked the chat.
Two of those of them. The Jokic deserved to lineup. So we asked the chat. I don't give a fuck about that. They 6-4 in the last 10. So we asked the chat. Two of those of them.
The Yolkens deserve to be MVP.
53% said no.
So we got one more thing to talk about before we get into the birthday festivities for our
very own Gilbert Arenas.
The namesake of the show.
Used to be Gil's Arena.
Now it is Gil's World.
Thank you to our studio audience.
We got some snacks and treats and beverages for you guys lined up.
We got to talk some Wimby.
So Victor Wimby Yama recently celebrated his 21st birthday and just before he turned 21
played in his hundredth
Career game going head-to-head with your kids and dropping 35 and 18 and the Spurs win in that hundred career game
Obviously your kids got his get back the next day, but through his first hundred career games this nigga lost to the Spurs
That's what I'm saying. Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sit another stick. That was a liquor talking go finish do you?
merely a hug do you but yeah, but he had a triple-double though, so
So through his first hundred career games win B is averaging 23 points 11 rebounds horses
Four blocks every wish in one point still small point two steals per game
So in his first hundred career games when B has more total points in LeBron
He has more blocks than a king.
And he's made more threes than Steph Curry.
So we're going to play a game of facts or cap
based on the information that we have available.
100 game sample size.
Based on his current trajectory,
will Wimby be in the GOAT debate?
Facts or cap?
So based on his current trajectory,
Wimby will be in the GOAT debate.
Facts or cap?
Mr. Cemetery Larry, Iron Man,
Championship Charles, many-name shot.
A GOAT debate?
Wimby will be in the GOAT debate, fax or cap.
Yeah, like you're in the Kobe Jordan.
No, whoa, whoa, whoa.
No, but that's the GOAT talk.
So we're going to work our way around.
Wimby will be in the GOAT debate the goat debate facts are cut you think it's done
All right
Thanks, okay. Why do you say faction? You're already to go
Whimby's already the goat after 100 career game. Hey read off that again. Can you give me what he got read off it again?
Never shot he got it
More total points in LeBron more total points in LeBron more blocks in the game
See any game you see more three's and they're not listening
So more total points in LeBron in that hundred game a hundred game hundred career game
More blocks in the game in that hundred games and more steps than three curry or more threes and Steph Curry in that hundred game
You put home fuck up your better host fuck up to you get that 100 games. You think he's going to get better?
You think he's going to get better?
Yeah, we could stand to reason.
Okay.
He is French though.
So the trajectory, you think about actually calculating math, trajectory looks like he's
going to surpass pretty much everybody.
If you're talking about statistically.
Stat man, stat man as you like to say.
He's going to be the GOAT for sure man, stat man, as you like to say.
He gonna be the GOAT for sure.
Okay, well, let's move on to Kenya.
Uh, based on his current trajectory,
Wimby will be in the GOAT debate, facts or cap?
Can I see you staring at me?
Seen that stare before?
Let me see it.
But still.
Goddamn.
One thing for sure, two things for certain.
He is in his second year, ain't he?
Mm-hmm. He is in his second year.
21 years old. All right.
So you abstain?
You abstain from voting, right?
Yeah, do you think I'm going in this fucking second year?
The numbers are impressive, though.
Motherfucker won 12 games last year.
22 and 60 last year they are.
Okay. 18 and 17. We had the same conversation about LeBron James when he was drafted
number one. No we didn't. I didn't. We did not have the show. I didn't. In 2003. I didn't.
It was a twinkle in the sky. So I'm gonna say Cap. So Kenan you will say Cap right now.
It's his fucking second year cap, okay?
No, because I look at the history of who his sides play along.
Yes.
I got to look at it.
It ain't on his side.
Yeah.
Longevity plays a factor in that.
Longevity does.
Very important.
So let's shift to this side of the account.
Mr. B.
It depends on how long he plays.
It has to.
The fuck?
Mr. B, based on Wimby's current trajectory,
Wimby will be in the GOAT debate. Facts or cap?
Because if y'all could have played, I would.
I'm going to say cap.
Okay.
Just because the GOAT talk, like who's in the GOAT talk,
who we talk about as the GOAT,
LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant,
those type of guys, so... Kareem. And like Kareem, and like you said, longevity. So, I'm going to say Cap right now.
Okay. Nick, let's move on to yourself. Swaggy?
Man, Cap. Not rolling at all. I'm disappointed in the McCants today. So disappointed. You,
you my dog.
You ain't never go to that way.
I tried to text you, like, I'm gonna bring the propane today.
Okay, okay, okay.
Stay out the coffee.
My bad, my bad. I done got hit with a couple of strays today. My bad.
I'll tell you.
A couple of strays.
You've also said Cap Swaggy. Let's move on to our namesake, Gills World.
No longer Gills Arena. For your birthday, January 6th, we have taken the day back.
They tried to justify it.
I'm telling you.
We have brought it back.
So through 100 career games, based on his current trajectory,
Wimby will be in the GOAT debate.
Facts or cap?
First 100 games.
Got to say facts.
Okay.
You were rolling with Wimby.
He is European.
I mean, when you're talking about
the people who are considered the GOATs,
Jordan was still in college at this age.
LeBron James, he's in front of, obviously.
Kobe, he would be in front of, too, at that age.
Same thing with Kareem.
Kareem was in college at this age, too.
So for those type of guys, where he's at, his numbers,
we just got to say yes because he has an advantage
because he's in over, he's in the lead before Michael
and Kareem was.
And then he was better than Colby at the same age
because of when he came in.
Oh, no.
Come on, man.
From there, it just becomes, hold on, it becomes winning.
So what are the numbers?
What are the numbers?
You can't use that for him and not for Kobe.
I hate that.
What are the numbers?
So in 100 career games.
Like, I hate that.
He's better than Kobe.
At the age.
We're talking about the first 100 games.
You know what his first 100 games were.
First 100 games.
We're saying the first 100 games.
I got to hear the numbers real quick.
So in 100 career games, he's averaging 22 points.
I don't want to hear the average.
Oh, you want to hear the total numbers? I don't want to hear the average. Oh, you want to hear the total numbers?
I don't want to hear the fucking average.
Okay.
What do you want to hear?
He says he has more points, total points.
I want to know how many total points he has in LeBron.
I think it's 2,200.
Oh.
It could be seven.
Like, this is what I mean.
Like, this is...
Over the goats?
Oh, no.
He said he has more points than LeBron.
Uh-huh.
Right now, after 100 games.
2,290...
So, this is 2,273 points before.
2,270 in that first 100 games.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, he tripping.
Say it slow, bro.
2,270 in that first 100 games.
And how many does LeBron have?
What was it like?
2,100.
You said 2,000? 2, one hundred or something and Kobe's first
I didn't ask him
Why are you complaining but that doesn't mean
Can I get the question I get the shit
Oh, I want to know the numbers
Goats, okay, and you're talking about putting them in there if you look at the trajectory of the three goals
He's in front of them at the same time frame
Who said so if Kobe came off the bench and his numbers are low he's in front of that
So when I'm what we're saying is can saying is, we can put him in the category
compared to anybody else.
Can I get my question answered?
Can I get my question answered?
So, once again,
how many points did LeBron
have in his first 100 games?
Total points, not average.
LeBron had 2,181 points.
And how many does Wimby have?
2,270 points
in the first half.
That's about 100 more points.
So 100,
that's what I mean.
Y'all act like he's
blowing.
You said more threes
than Steph.
How many points,
how many threes
does Steph need?
930 less minutes
than LeBron though
in that 100 game.
Okay, that's fine
because he was limited.
I get that.
That's fine.
So he played 930
less minutes than LeBron did.
Yes, cool, yes.
But are y'all looking
at what he's saying though? Look? Yes
I hear anything he's saying if these three are the go who said we go about no LeBron Kobe
We compare to he said I'm saying I'm asking about he not in the number three. I'm not talking about that. He's two
I'm talking about the told he said he had more they have them I'm asking the man about the stats that he read off
Yes, he has more blocks than a key. Uh-huh. How many blocks is a team have how many does win be had?
That's I'm asking my well, we can look up the numbers. I don't need you to fucking guess. Thank you
But it has more so it don't matter what it does. It doesn't matter you motherfucker. I'm asking the question, but he has more
Who's moving ain't nobody leaving up. I'm not moving shit
I just want to know the number
I just want to know the fucking number college. I don't give a fuck who was in college
Who was it? My mom was titties sucking on a mama tit for this. I don't give a fuck
I just want to know the numbers. He said they have more blocks in the key. How many blocks is the key now?
How many does he have?
I said the list that's all I'm asking and maybe for that damn it
That's all I'm fucking asking. Okay. Is it a thousand is it 100? Thank you. Thank you. We shot god dang
You're talking about not do not hit your to
You're talking about everybody the age the age and what everybody did.
And these are the three goals, and he's right there.
If the game stopped right now, we can say he's in this category.
That's all they're saying.
Yes, he's going to need championships.
He's going to need wins.
He's going to need scoring titles.
Of course, to finish off. But at the same 100 games, he's in the trajectory of the GOATs.
And some of these players are older than Wimby, obviously.
They went to college.
So that first 100 career games are a different age.
See, I'm looking at the numbers now, the stats that they gave.
Yeah.
Thank you.
God damn.
I gave the information out.
Yes.
So I'm still going to say cap.
Okay.
Still not changing it. He's just still gonna stay cap. Okay
Because I have to put longevity
Conversation should he be in the goal?
I said no current trajectory and I said on this current trajectory when B will be in the GOAT? I said no. Current trajectory. Based on his current trajectory, Wimby will be in the GOAT today.
I say no.
Because I have to put longevity in.
We don't know how long he's going to be.
We're talking about current today.
I'm saying no, though.
I just don't think he's going to win.
If GOAT means greatest of all time.
I'm saying yes.
Based on those numbers.
Like you say, his trajectory.
Based on those numbers, I'm saying yes.
Okay, good.
Based on those numbers, I'm saying yes.
Trajectory.
I'm not in doubt about it.
So, a team 268 blocks,
and that's 100 games. We're going to say yes. And with that, that was a question you would have said yes. So, we got to goat shit, we go say he's going to win multiple championships.
No, we don't know.
We got to ask that there.
You can't.
We're talking.
So, now he can't.
Isn't that a part of the goat conversation?
No, we're talking about the first 100 games.
No.
In the first 100 games, they didn't have championships.
What are we talking about?
He's talking about accolades, though.
Totality.
He said if he does, if he gets all of these accolades,
they're on the way.
We're talking about in 100.
So all three of them, the three GOATs in the first 100 games,
is he on the same path?
Is he on the right path?
Yes.
Yes.
That's what we said.
Yeah, that's all we're saying.
OK.
They didn't have championships at all, NBA. We're just saying, we know what they finished with.
What they started with are they getting
the All-Time is what we're talking about.
So yes, him, Luka would have been there.
Greatest of all time.
Greatest of all time.
Yeah.
Greatest of all time.
They had a start.
And he said it on the trajectory of the same start.
And how did it finish?
We're not talking about the finish.
We don't know.
That's the order.
Yes, we are. We're talking about the first about the finish we don't know yes we are
You can't write about the hundred games. We don't know what the fuck. No we know we talk about the stats in the first hundred Yes, so we're saying is this trajectory with the same it's nice
Based on its current trajectory when it comes to win
Be a go to go to 40 yard dashes? And even though there's a 100-yard dash.
Yeah.
If somebody does a 40-yard dash and they say,
is he on the trajectory as a 100-yard dash,
it'd be this.
We can say yes off of his 40-yard dash number.
We don't know what the fuck is going to happen
in the next 60 yards.
No, we don't.
But at the first 40, we're going to say,
yeah, this motherfucker look like he could have a 10-9.
He could be Hussein Boat.
Yes. Okay. Because him and Hussein Boat look the same in the first 40 yards. It's a little like he could have a 10-9 he could be who same but yes
Okay, cuz him and who same boat look the same in the first any good motherfucking fall off
We don't know that yet because there's a back
We're not asking about what is on that in speed could be fucking slow, but we're not
Get out the motherfucking blocks. We're
Absolutely asking about the blocks fast. Yes. He's running for that right there asking
That's a question about 13 six when he got done we got so many people that did that
He just said they said Luca is on the. They said Luka is on the trajectory. They did say Luka was on the trajectory.
Is he?
Nobody said it.
No, everybody's like, yeah, he's on the trajectory.
Let's wrap this up.
So when it comes to Winby ending his career in the gold debate based on his current trajectory.
75% say yes.
We need that.
Stop the cap.
Stop the cap.
Thank you, Paulo.
We're getting it back.
It's the first show of the new year, ladies and gentlemen.
It's Gil's birthday.
We are all turnt up here in the arena.
So one quick thing before we get into the birthday festivities.
What did they say?
Yeah, yeah, no.
He thought I was going to figure it out.
What did they say?
What was it?
55% of the chat said that he will be in the Goat Debate.
So back in early November, just eight games into his second season,
an anonymous scout had this to say about Wimby's game. He said
he's absolutely awesome on defense, not impactful
at all on offense. He just looked like he's
playing without a whole lot of direction. So we talked about
it at that point. But in Wimby's 22
games, since those comments went public,
he's averaging 28 points, 11 rebounds,
four assists, four blocks on 50,
39, 86 shooting splits.
So when we talked about those comments the scout
made, Nick, you said that W when B was a lunchtime Hooper
Needed to develop a go-to movie help his game excel even more as when B graduated from being a lunchtime Hooper
He's the freshman he's on fresh
You prove my point there. He's OK.
No.
This motherfucker averaging 23, 10, 4, and 4 blocks.
I ought to put LeBron in the basket.
And he's on JV.
I would have never called LeBron or Kobe a lunchtime baller.
That's what I'm saying.
But Kobe was a lunchtime baller.
No, no, no, no.
In the first 100 games.
Look, man, he asked me a question.
We're talking about the first 100 games.
What the fuck going on?
That's what I'm saying.
He was in middle.
He was a start. He still, nigga. He was in your start the first 100 games. What the fuck going on? That's what I'm saying. He was in middle.
He was a start.
He was in your start with 96.
Wasn't Kobe an All-Star again?
Yeah, I'm about to say, what are you talking about?
The little Laker boys were referred to by him.
What are you talking about?
He was a lunch-
Don't ever say Kobe was a lunch-
He was a lunch-
Waller, man.
I thought he was a Kobe Bryant fan at some point in your life.
You say he's a lunch-time Waller is absolute shit.
The first 100 games.
Y'all know what y'all talking about.
Kobe was an All-Star.
The first 100 games.
I thought he was a Kobe Bryant fan at some point in your life.
You're crazy, bro.
You say he's a lunch-
He'd be losing it with Kobe shit. The first 100 bro. And you say he's a lunchtime baller.
He'd be losing with Kobe shit.
The first 100 games.
Y'all know what y'all talking about.
Kobe was an all-star.
The first 100 games.
Kobe was an all-star.
Because he got voted in by the fans.
That's how good he was.
That's how good he was.
Coming off the bench.
That picture?
Have it read.
So the first year, he averaged seven.
Okay, he came off the bench.
That's 71 games. That means 30 more games. What do you think he averaged if he averaged seven. Okay, he came out the mid. That's 71 games.
That means 30 more games, which you think he averaged if he averaged 15.
He was a lunchtime baller, but he was a fan favorite back then.
Right?
So I don't know why y'all getting y'all feeling.
Because he averaged a whole 12 in his first 100 games.
I'm an all-star.
Stop pretending.
I'm an all-star.
Hey, all-star.
Stop pretending.
Kobe had an all-team. He was a fucking lunch all-star. Hey, an all-star. Stop pretending. Kobe had it all.
He was a fucking lunchtime baller.
He had his 20.
He was a lunchtime baller.
He had his 20.
Get over here.
Get over here.
Get over here and watch the NBA all-star game.
Play the NBA all-star game.
Kobe, only rookie out there with the big dogs.
Kobe wasn't out there with the big dogs.
Yes, he was.
No, he wasn't.
He had seven points. He was an all-star. That was his sophomore year. That was't out there with the big dogs. Yeah. Yes, he was. You know, he wasn't. He had seven points.
He was an all-star.
That was his sophomore year.
That was his second year.
What did Michael Jordan say?
Hey, hey, hey.
Second year.
What did Michael Jordan say?
He said, you got to watch out for that little Laker boy.
That was the second year.
That little Laker boy.
That little Laker boy.
Hey, hey, hey.
Little Laker boy.
Hey, hey, hey.
That ain't even worth a good.
He wouldn't come after me.
You got to watch out for that little Laker boy.
That was the second year.
That was the second year. That little Laker boy. LeBron's second year to me. Watch out for that little Laker boy. That was the second year. That was the second year.
That little Laker boy.
LeBron's second year, he had a 29.
That little Laker boy.
Mm.
Watch out for that little Laker boy.
Kobe, I was 15.
LeBron had a 29.
Kobe, three years, won a championship.
LeBron, six, seven years, he won a championship, right?
So Gil, Whitby.
Three, he won three of them from.
He said he called him a lunchtime baller. He's still at the lunch. He's still here. 23, Whitby. He said he called him a lunchtime baller.
He's still at the lunch.
He's still here.
23-10.
He's not there.
He's not there.
He's not there.
I'll let you know what we're talking about.
No, he's still there.
Who?
The league just sweat more.
He just sweat more.
He's still there.
23-10, 4-4.
He's still there.
I will be a lunchtime baller.
I'm fucking up, baby.
I will be 23-10, 4 23, 10, 4, and 4.
Because when you call me a real NBA player,
what the fuck you think I'm going to be averaging?
What's that?
What's that?
What's that?
Pop, pop, pop, 35, 12, 15, and 15.
I might start averaging 15 blocks, Ron.
That's what a real NBA player is.
If I'm averaging, you calling me a lunchtime ball,
I'm going to be a double-double with four blocks. Cool. What does everybody else average if you calling me a lunchtime baller. That's what a real NBA player is. Double, double. With four blocks.
Cool.
You ain't got to have 35.
What does everybody else average if you're not a real basketball player?
Right.
Let me know what a real NBA player is.
Oh, we're lunchtime ballers.
Everybody else is lunchtime ballers.
Ladies.
And you are the star.
Oh, that made so much fucking sense, man.
Hey, he's losing it, ain't he?
He's losing it.
No, he's talking about you, man.
No, he's talking about LeBron.
You know he gonna try to bring it back to LeBron.
LeBron averaging 24.
I'm not talking about LeBron this year, I told you.
So don't get me like this.
Man, get off that, bro.
I'm friending.
Get off that rap thing.
I'm friending Dino. Happy birthday, motherfucker. I'm friendin. I'm off that rap. Well, I'm friendin. Happy birthday motherfuckers. Come on. Hold on
Do we cake preemptive we don't I do
Come on goddamn with the damn sparkly bring one
Yeah, that's how she liked that first the second second sparkler, the first sparkler went out.
Like I said.
Hey, it's all good.
We have some technical difficulties with the sparkler, but it is your birthday, Gil.
So last year we had a little situation with Melly and the birthday cake.
So we did not allow Melly to give you the cake.
Come on.
Nah, this is my good shit.
This is my good shit.
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday, Gilbert.
Happy birthday, Gilbert.
Happy birthday, Gilbert. Happy birthday, Gilbert. Happy birthday, Gilbert. Happy birthday, Gilbert. It's my
Lord out look pretend like it pretend like it's smoking blow it out. I'm gonna just be honest man. I
Don't feel in my soul. It don't feel right. Don't do it.
No, no, not that.
Don't throw the cake, Gil.
You see the production and the cake they made for,
how many birthdays have we had here?
Eat the cake, Gil.
You know what I mean?
Like, you know what I mean?
Like, I don't know.
He threw the cake on you last time.
Remember that.
Do not throw the cake.
Appreciate it.
We had the sparkles.
We appreciate you.
Huh?
I got to go somewhere else.
And Gil, since you already know that we like to do things differently in the arena,
we got one more surprise for you.
Special treat.
So you've told the story before about how when the Wizards tried to put a curfew on your team during a road trip,
you found a loophole by bringing the strip club to the hotel.
Uh-oh. So with that in mind, we're bringing the shake club to the arena.
A blessing for a blessing.
Nah, hell no. It ain't going down like that.
Oh!
Trippin'.
Rashad!
Hit the music, please.
That fucking yam!
Hit the music.
Where the music please
