Episode Date: April 14, 2026Gil's Arena GOES WILD Over The End Of The NBA Season as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew react to the end of the NBA Season and break down the road to the NBA Finals though the NBA Playoffs. They... tip things off by reacting to the not so shocking news out of the Doc Rivers era is officially over for the Milwaukee Bucks as the polarizing head coach agreed to step down after a turbulent season and tenure in Cream City and discuss how much blame Doc deserves for the Bucks struggles during his time as head coach. They also break down where the Bucks go from here as they're stuck paying 3 fired head coaches while navigating the turbulence of Giannis Antetokounmpo's public divorce with the franchise. Next, they preview the first playoff series for the San Antonio Spurs & Victor Wembanyama as they break down what the french phenom will endure during his first taste of NBA Playoff action and debate if the Spurs shot themselves in the foot by rolling over in their final game against the Denver Nuggets, setting up a daunting road to the NBA Finals as Wemby & The Spurs will have to take down the OKC Thunder & Nikola Jokic's Nuggets if they want to advance all the way to the Championship Round. They then react to LeBron James capping off his 23rd season as the Los Angeles Lakers' number 1 option and discuss how this Lakers team will fare in the playoffs without Luka Doncic & Austin Reaves for the opening round. Finally, they give their take on Kevin Garnett returning to to Minnesota to reunite with the Minnesota Timberwolves and break down the NBA's potential new laws to curb tanking. Welcome back to Gills Arena, presented by Underdog.
Whoa, whoa!
Post season is here playing.
Kicks off tonight, ladies down.
We're excited?
Yeah, a little bit.
Yeah, it's post-season.
That's time of it is.
Post season.
Yeah, it's the best time.
I don't like the play-ins, but.
It's the losers' cup.
Yeah, the best of the losers play tonight.
And then, hopefully get in.
And hopefully get in.
Yeah, but still, yeah, man, you're like, you can't.
9th 10 C man
unless you tie with 8
10 shouldn't be in the question
I've been saying it's 10 shouldn't be in the question
only way 9 should be in the question
if 8 and 9 got the exact
same record
10 you fucking suck
10 you fucking suck
right yeah dead ass
yeah like historically
they all kind of tie right
but still
10th if you 10th no you're
nobody's time with 10th
10th is
9, 2.
Probably 11.
It's 8.
Game apart.
5 under the teams under you.
Heen Hornets is a game apart.
See, that's what I'm saying.
But they're a game apart, though.
So the difference is apart.
So.
But it's the postseason.
Suns, Blazers.
Yeah.
Like this.
Warriors, 37 wins.
It's usually the West Coast teams
that have the problem.
Just who you just said?
I don't mean to cut you all get.
Just who you said.
37 wins, right?
We won 50 games when they was with the Nuggets.
We were the fucking 8 seed.
Damn.
Yes, that's what I'm saying.
That's why I have a problem with this shit.
We won 50 games, dog.
We were 8 seed.
That's a lot.
Like that's what you're 7th, right?
Your sons, you have 45 wins.
Right, sir.
And Golden State has 37 wins, but we're playing for.
Why am I playing in the same bracket with that?
They're playing for the seven.
No, what I'm saying is, and Portland's 42.
Why, why are we playing for my spot?
I have 45 win.
You have 42.
Why are we playing for the seven spot?
Like, how does that even make sense?
You lost more games than you won this year, bro.
Like, what the fuck are we playing?
Like, what are we playing for?
Adam Silver, if you're watching.
We're playing for my spot.
Yeah, that's crazy.
82 games for me.
to get to set.
That's why they did it so we can have this time.
And you're a, and you get to play for my spot.
And if you beat me, now I got to play for your spot with someone else.
They had a worse record than you.
Guy, make it make sense.
Well, win the game.
And you get to go.
No, but no, no.
Top eight.
But no.
But no.
That's the idea.
If you saw the server.
If they had to get a player.
What I'm saying.
Sure.
Seven should never be a question, though.
So, like, so 37, let's say Golden State wins, Phoenix lose.
Seven.
Right?
So that's 45 versus 42.
Then the Golden State beats Sons.
Then you have a team who's been horrible all year.
Get to the A spot, and your team who's been solid all year is out of the playoffs.
Go-Go and lose by King's Ransom in the first.
I mean, you can't be solid.
No, no, no.
I mean, I mean, it ain't good enough.
But I just, like, tanking, right?
Yeah.
If you're a Golden State, right now you're a lottery, you get a lottery pick.
Regardless.
Why would I want to make the playoffs?
I think Steve Kerr shares those sentiments.
Yeah, why would I want to get, why do I want to get to the eighth spot?
Because you have a chance.
Yeah, it does.
It don't deter the lottery.
Yeah, it does.
Dallas, remember?
Yeah, because I think they.
Dallas didn't make the playoffs.
They'll make the, they'll get the locked-in picks.
They get the locked-in picks.
They don't go to the lottery.
Oh, they don't go to the championship.
So if you finish 10th, if you make the playoffs, then I think you jump to that eighth spot.
You know what I'm saying?
And the lottery stand?
No, so you just get the-outary.
You're outside the lottery.
So you get 14.
So if you're 8th, you get 14.
If you're 10th, you're in the lottery.
So why would you want to be a lottery team all year long, then get yourself out of the lottery?
Why would I do that?
What then Dallas do?
I mean, it's the challenge.
They didn't make the playoffs.
I'm not wild.
But they was in the plane.
Unless you made a trade with somebody.
Yeah.
And you make the playoffs.
So if you make the playoffs, you're into one of those locked picks.
Yeah, you don't get the lottery.
You're not in the lottery.
It would make sense for the Warriors to want to get to the playoffs.
To lose.
To lose.
Like Dallas last year.
Remember I said, if Dallas tries to make the playoffs,
all this lose in all year, they don't get a lottery pick.
They would have got 14.
They would have got 14.
They would have gotten 14, 15, 16.
15, 15, 15.
Yeah, 15.
14 teams don't.
So the fact that they didn't make it, they got a chance to get the number one pick.
Oh, so you're saying you get the eight, you're outside of the.
You make the playoffs.
So you're in top eight.
If you make the playoffs, your pick start from 14.
If you make the playoffs, right, you're in the top eight, your pick start at 14.
Unless you've made a trade, unless you're taking all season.
Unless you're Oklahoma City.
They would actually have a chance.
So now, if you're 10th in the West, they make the playoffs, then they don't, they're not in the lottery.
And that's, unless you're not in the lottery.
And that's, and they have.
They have.
They have made trades and all this.
You got high picks.
I don't know.
I mean, too.
But that's what I said.
I said, you know, it's still a tank.
Why would I, and I remember I said, I said, why if I'm 10th?
And I've been 10th all year, why would I even want to win if I don't get no benefit?
Well, are they tanking.
And if I'm a thing.
I don't think they're taking.
I think they're coming back.
And then I think they're actually like, we can still make a run.
I don't think they've been tanking.
I think step coming back for the playoffs
is like we can still make a run.
But I think he's going to be on the minister's restriction.
With him.
With him.
It's still the Warriors, right?
They're always going to have championship pedigree, right?
They're always going to think it.
I mean, if they get in, I mean, you can't tell them.
That's like the six-year-old checking the club, though.
She might think she's still bad.
She's the owner.
Yeah.
But you can't the Warriors do something in the off-season?
I mean, but can't the Warriors do something in off-season?
No.
Like what?
You can still do something in all season.
They can make a move trying to y- You can do.
whatever you want an off season.
And Jim's still in the book.
If you lose,
you can possibly get a number one pick
and still do whatever you want in the summer.
Right?
It's the same thing with Dallas.
Dallas had the team, right?
And they end up getting a number one pick.
So whatever they want to do in the summer, they still do it.
So you're saying they should lose the play in?
I said, what is the point?
Of winning the play in?
No, you've been, I got this million.
Yeah, I got this million dollars in my pocket all year
for me to fuck it up on one game.
For me to lose it?
For me to go put it on red.
Right, right, right.
You're like, I'm not going to jeopardize it now.
Shit.
Dremband shoot 23s.
Exquisite cover.
We need to make sure we to win.
This is Gil's Arena presented by Underdog Woo-WWW.
I'm merely a host, Josiah Johnson.
We got NBA legend, Arc Raiders, most wanted Gilbert Arenas here with him.
They got T-shirts now.
I see y'all out here living, Gil.
Huh?
I don't know nothing about Arc Raiders, but I see.
You got a T-shirts?
People don't like you on that.
They're trying anything, man.
I imagine.

and he keeps failing. That is a horrible call.
The refund.
Be the next to go. We're doing my NBA
champion of the world swaggy P.
Nick Young.
What's what's looking at?
Huh?
What you've been looking at me like this?
I mean, bro, you're just like a
side of a freeway.
Just tagged up.
Just tagged up dirty.
Just like the side of a freeway.
You know what?
You just, who said is this?
Who said is this?
What's such?
I love Hollywood.
A trade.
Damn.
A side of a freeway.
He said that's a group of people, like the side of the freeway.
You know, everybody just be tagging this.
I was about to compliment the fans.
I was right.
Representing tough crowd, car care, and country club.
Remember, we got Mr. B.
Brandon Jennings back here with.
Oh, ho, ho, ho!
Oh, I don't know.
Taking gloves.
All right now.
Taking gloves.
All right, man.
O.J. did it.
Who can't wear it?
You can't wear it.
Let's see if it.
But it don't go on the hand, though, for him.
You can't even go.
J.C.'s. took it yesterday.
You can't wear it.
The glove does fit.
On this side of the couch, we got a distinct general.
See, I was a part of that, so I'm just why I'm a little, you lost something?
My glove as well.
I gifted J.C. the glove.
He goes out and we lose the motherfucker like.
Oh, so that's the Richard Keynes' glove?
Yeah.
I gave the J.C.
Gifts the two wins.
And yeah, he go out and lose the bitch.
We lost about what, four?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, man.
We have the glove list distinguished gentleman from Oak Cliff.
Former number one pick, Kenyon Martin.
The glove has been re-gifted.
Okay.
PTSD, when you see your glove now at another?
See, the thing is, see, I didn't bring the one that...
But, um...
So I got one of his...
But they both came in and were matching gloves, though.
Both had red ones.
They look cute.
Look, cute.
There's a motherfucker.
I still got them look like a team.
Came right here to lose.
I've been to have his glove on my bag.
So just, I'm not the one to brag.
Okay.
But they, yeah, they kicked their ass yesterday, though.
All right.
Ain't even bull.
He ain't even bullshit.
Him and Rob.
Rob Ultra.
Legend?
No, Rob had a few good shots.
Brandon had a birdie yesterday.
He had a birdie yesterday.
I'm hooping, bro.
I'm telling you, I'm getting nice, I'm telling you.
I think we both are.
Me and him, he witnessed my birdie last week.
Nick can't come out because he got his club stolen.
For sure, he has some knives.
They stole, somebody stole his club.
Yeah, yeah, I don't know if nine or ten.
He hit the ball out of bounds a couple times.
Listen, it's not a good round if you don't.
Listen, if we ain't, hey, both of us, hey, he went into my birdie last week.

They're just saying, niggas they don't like.
So it was just like, we don't like these nets.
Because I don't, yeah, that's number.
He says, I don't know if it's to be on his podcast.

Definitely made the list.
Appreciate that.
Cam, thank you.
I know how you feel now.
Shit.
You feel like everybody else.
Put them in the book.
Well, we got a lot to discuss.
Here's what's cracking in Gil's arena today.
Doc Rivers and the bucks officially parted ways.
Damn.
Because of the work season and more than a decade.
Where is Milwaukee?
go from here.
LeBron ended the regular season
as the Lakers number one option
and Western Conference Player of the Week.
Will King James keep the purple
and go to float until Lucas return?
Or ask a question mark, can you?
It's a question mark.
Okay? It's possible.
Anything is possible.
Hoping possibility work together.
They shut DGs down, I told you.
And the Spurs will likely have to go through
Denver and OKC.
They want to reach their first final since 2014.
What are realistic
expectations for Wimby in his first career postseason.

So we're going to start out there
in Milwaukee. The Doc Rivers
era officially over with the announcement coming Monday, Rivers stepped down as Bucks head coach.
Doc took over as Bucke's head coach in January of 2024 after Adrian Griffin got the boot,
had a record of 97 and 103 during his tenure, which included two first round exits and missing
the postseason entirely this year after going 32 and 50, finishing 11th in the east.
Rivers did manage to lead the Bucks to an NBA Cup championship, though, in 2024, neither here nor there,
but it is a, it is a manner.
It is. It counts.
When the same release Monday, River said the following,
I have truly loved my time in Milwaukee,
coming back to where I got my start to a city that has always embraced me
has been a privilege.
I'm disappointed that things did not turn out the way.
Any of us hoped, but I am deeply grateful for this experience.
The relationships built an unwavering support
from our fans and the community.
Milwaukee will always mean a lot to me,
and this chapter will hold a special place in my heart.
So River signed a deal worth approximately $40 million,
back when he was hired in 2024
will be paid out for the final season
remaining on this contract.
According to reports, the Bucks and Rivers are discussing
the possibility of him moving to an advisory role with the team.
You're going to earn this money, Doc.
We're paying, you got to show up and do something.
Come hollered at the B-mo Club.
Writing was on the wall this season where reports
Rivers had lost the locker room.
So, Doc, third coach departways with the Bucs
since 2023, joining Mike Boottenhozer and Griffin.
Mr. B, we're going to start with you.
Are you a very tapped in connected to the Milwaukee community, Mr. Bucks and Six.
What's your reaction to Doc Rivers stepping down as Bucks head coach?
I mean, like you said, the riding was on the wall.
Probably should have happened sooner, but, you know, Milwaukee, I felt like just did it the right way, I guess,
because he's up a Hall of Fame coach this year.
But, you know, it was his time there.
The team just quit on them.
Players, you know, the adjustments, everything.
You know, I mean, you heard it from the city.
Everybody was complaining about it.
So, but like I said, the writing was on the wall, and it should have happened sooner.
But, you know, Doc could still be Hall of Fame coach and that's all you can say on that.
Andrew, the Hall of Fame this year, I think there was some, obviously, four show out of
shadowing the last weeks or so.
He said he wanted to spend more time with his grandchildren, go to Grandparents Day for
his seven grandchildren, multiple Grandparents Day.
the docket, no word still, if he'll take that advisory roller if you're just going to chill out.
But Gil, what's your reaction to the Bucks and Doc Rivers parting ways after two and a half seasons?
They parted ways when he got hired.
What?
It's like drinking poison.
I mean, the person who gives it to you, they know you dead.
You just dead men walking.
Have y'all live
in your
previous time dated a
girl who
dated someone really rich?
Right?
It's like trying to date one of the Kardashians
right now. There's nothing
you're going to do that's going to impress them.
No, no, not when you had it.
That was broken. That she was broke then.
She was broke then. I'm talking about trying to not.
You know what I mean? You used the original. I'm talking about trying to
triggering. No, no, I'm talking about.
We just like, kill.
trying to date Kim now, right?
Like, how do you top the last people?
So that means they're not impressed.
So before you get there, Doc, we have a champion, and then 30 and 13.
When you come in there, you're coming with high standards.
Right?
So what was you going to do?
What record did you think you were going to?
to have for that locker room to be impressed or anyone to be impressed.
They were in third place, third place when you got there.
It was just downhill moving from there.
30 and 13, they're moving like clockwork.
They fired a champion coach and 30 and 13.
There was nothing you was going to do to not get fired.
Like there was nothing.
They fired two winning coaches.
Right?
17 and 19 in that first season.
Yeah, yeah, 79.
But what I'm saying is, no matter what he did.
He could have went 30 and 13.
It didn't matter.
What you're doing, we, it was here before you got here.
So there was, there was no reason for him to go get that job unless he had security there.
I mean, we did have ties with Marquette.
I mean, I'm sure he probably just wanted to go out.
If it was just, if it was just a money grab, cool.
But, you know, he was always.
going to get fired. He was only going to last two years. That was really the most, unless somehow
you won a championship. But that team, that team wasn't built to win the championship. We just
always looked at the production of Janus. Now, you can blame Doc if you want to, but at the end
of the day, they fired three coaches. So before you get the Doc, Bud got fired. Why? Griffin got a job.
He got fired.
Why?
So using Doc name to say, oh, he lost a locker room.
What did the other two coaches?
Did they lose the same locker room, too?
Because they got shipped the fuck off too.
So in reality, Doc should be happy.
There ain't no point at your age you go through this bullshit that's going on in that locker room.
Because if we heard, if we listened to what Janice was saying earlier, he was saying,
it earlier.
The team, they're not buying in.
They don't want to pass the ball.
He was saying it earlier, but because he wasn't
playing,
watch out, dog. It's us right now.
You know, in the locker room, man, sometimes
there's more losers than there are winners.
And, you know, sometimes the losers
take over a locker room if, you know,
if the winners are not playing.
And, you know, that seemed that's what happened
here. So, you know, I'm, I'm
I'm going to step down before you fire me.
Part ways.
We're going to part ways, yeah, yeah.
Swaggy, let's shift over to you.
I was in Milwaukee recently.
Your family still looking for you.
That's how you were doing.
Tell them everything.
Part of ways.
It's going well.
Part of ways.
What's your reaction to the bucks?
And, Doc, partying ways.
After two and a half seasons.
Well, I think, well, Doc,
there's been a lot of bad media around him, for sure.
you've seen
but Milwaukee
I don't think
they had the team
that was designed
to win
in the first place
with injuries
with Yannis
in the media
that he's getting traded
every other week
or he don't want to be there
or he wants something else
I think
this shouldn't be it for Doc
if you want to
he can I think he did enough
he's a Hall of Famer
but at this rate
coaches getting fired
like left and right now.
So that's a tough job.
You got a roach on your cup.
I was wonder what kind of creature that was.
That is a roach.
That's a real roach.
That came from you.
Sawed you to take that damn freeway pants,
man.
Why are you moving around?
Nick, I haven't seen roaches since that was
Bray, babe, babe.
I never had a roach.
You look like
candy, man.
I'm going to come get this cup.
Did somebody remove the cup?
That's a real roach.
That was a real way.
It was a real run.
You got something you want to tell me?
Man, what?
I don't want to deal with you, my man.
The roaches coming out of your park.
I ain't seen that since that was real.
You just came from Milwaukee.
You were there playing video games at your boy house,
and the roaches come across the screen, y'all.
You act like you don't know.
The rogden.
All right, well, roaches a silo shift over this side of the couch.
Canyon, Doc Rivers.
That roach was straight in the mug.
A drink.
In need of hydrate.
You got this cup.
You got this cup.
This gentleman's, they got a ratatooy.
Got a ratatooy?
Brooch over it.
He was mixed.
That's a man, tell him, sent his ear, say this.
Yeah, man, it's giving them all of them takes and things.
Hey, don't leave home without me, then.
You're a funny, nigger for a ratatooie.
I'm supposed to be in the hat.
Nigger, how don't get on the cup?
First roach, it was a real.
I see, boy, you're the funny thing.
It is right there on the cup.
Oh, shit.
It's on the other side.
You did that.
It went down.
Let's shift over to this side of the county.
Can you, what are your thoughts on Doc Rivers and the Bucks,
parting ways after two and a half seasons,
97 and 103 records, I believe with 3 and 8 in the playoffs,
did not make the postseason this year.
Bad juju and Milwaukee, man, from how they did Bud.
how they did
Chris Middleton
I think how they did Chris
Middleton was messed up
when things
he wasn't the healthiest
and he was still trying to play
when Yonis went down
in the playoffs he was out there playing
on one leg
but yeah
no it's just some situations man
that you make
as an organization that can come back to haunt you
the dame thing
didn't work out
I understand what they were trying to do, but it's just two contrasting styles of basketball
with him and Janice.
They never got to figure it out on the floor, and then injuries got in the way.
So that was a failed experiment.
I just think Doc was the wrong coach for where Janice was in his career.
I think Adrian Griffin Griffin probably was more fitting, but I don't, whatever.
However, that transpired.
transpired quickly.
30 and 13.
Yeah.
So 45 games, not even 45 games to that relationship.
Things happened, right?
The team looked very happy after that, after he initially got booted.
Yeah.
Dance circles and shit before the game.
Well, I could see, never been around Agent Griffin, but played against him.
I know how he plays the game.
Just, you know, kind of like J.B. Biggest have maybe.
I'm assuming, right?
Call it how it is, not cutting any corners with guys.
Probably rub some guys the wrong way.
I think you need that in order to be successful at time.
But yeah, no, man, we'll see what's next for the books.
I think this is just the beginning of change.
We all know the things that's been transpiring around Janus and that situation of his
future there or not.
We'll see with that, but yeah, no, man, it's, it was time.
Yeah, you just hear the complaints and different things coming out the locker room.
Dock the players, players, doc, this.
Yeah, it's, it was time, bro.
So it is what it is at this point.
You get to go spend time with his grandkids like he stated.
Grandkids, not a bad, but not bad time for where you are in your coaching tenure, right?
You've been doing it for a long time.
And wasn't he in an advisory role when he took over the job?
They brought him on December 2023 to help consult.
So you don't think, I, no, whoever's making it easy to say, no, that ain't the move.
He was good consultant.
The team was 3 and 13.
He told me five, dude.
Yeah, told me five.
He's 30 and 30 shit, hey, I think you should find.
Like, yeah, yeah, yeah, that ain't working.
Yeah, that ain't working.
That ain't working.
That ain't working.
That ain't working.
They said the players didn't like them.
Yeah, it was a terrible coach.
They said it was a terrible coach and the players didn't like them.
So terrible coach gets your 30 and 13?
Said the talent was doing it.
Well, that's, hey, cool.
Hey, let the talent keep talented and you keep motherfucking and seem to have been working out.
Up to that point.
But, hey, I don't know much.
Let's move on to Dr. McCants.
The book is out.
I dig.
The pen is inked.
You talk to him.
What are your thoughts on Dr.
rivers and the bucks parting ways after two and a half seasons?
Twofold.
I want to touch on one, the history that we're talking about now as far as
Bud Griffin and now Doc, right?
I honestly think that it had nothing to do with the organization when Boone
Houser got fired.
I feel like that was also a player-generated, prompted decision.
decision from A to B.
Any player in particular?
I'm just saying.
Okay.
All right.
We go ahead and cook it a little bit.
Adrian Griffin gets there, right?
Decisions were made to get another certain players to come down and add some type of value to the roster.
After losing in the first round to Miami.
Said player played three games out of that series, they lost 4-1.
Coach gets fired.
The championship coach we talk about gets fired.
No one said that he lost the locker room.
Nobody said that he didn't.
We don't know.
But he's gone.
Then they make offseason trades.
Bring in Dane.
This is said to be something that's needed for said guys who won't change to happen
for us to get back to our championship ways.
Adrian Griffin comes in and he leads you to a 30 and 13.
situation. New roster. Everybody should be happy we're winning, but we're not. Fire Adrian Griffin.
Someone is in the background where Adrian Griffin is coaching saying certain things about what's
happening in the locker room and why the guys feel something about this 30 and 13 record. Why is it 30 and
13? Why are we mad? Why are we not happy? Offense not clicking.
God's not getting their numbers the way they're supposed to.
I don't know. We don't know. Get them out of here.
Said person comes down from this position to go
into this position. Now he's coaching.
With $40 million.
Go $17 and 19, do we say?
17 and 19. So we had a
expectation of him to bring in his winning
pedigree to this organization and help
them get back to prominence. Hey, Doc,
we've seen
what you could do with this type of talent, take us there. All right? Didn't happen. Let's just say
mid-season, Doc did say, you know, it's hard to come in mid-season and turn things around and
get things where it's supposed to go. All right, Doc, we'll give you this grace. We're going to wait
to next year so you can get to, you get rid of Dame, you leave Janus on an island. Here we are.
I call it Kamra. This is the book of what's up, Doc. Like, Buzzard.
the bunny in them.
The snake comes down.
The ego shows itself.
He says, I got a resume too.
I got stats too.
How you lose the locker room.
But how is the locker room lost three different coaches?
It can't be the organization.
They just get the information.
So somebody's saying something to the organization to get rid of these guys.
And now I feel like this one guy is going to get out of this
get out of this thing unscathed.
I've been a big fan of this guy, big supporter,
but now that I'm seeing the right on the wall,
I don't know whose fault it is between the snake dock
and the karma that he's going to get based on what he's done
to be put in this position to get this organization
to look the way it looks now,
but then you got the leader, the top guy,
the guy who's supposed to be taking us there.
Ain't nothing been pleasing him.
So at this point, it's what are we doing and who's going to be the one to blame?
Because there's the elephant in the room, three different coaches.
You got Dame, you lost Dame.
I feel like Chris wasn't doing enough for you.
Had to get rid of Chris.
Got rid of Drew.
A lot of things happened where you got a lot of different things in your favor that didn't pan out.
And now it's like, well, what do we do now?
You just jump ship?
Now you jump ship because it's a small market.
I'm not buying it.
Not buying it.
So whether it's Doc or I think what's his name, Janice.
Somebody's to blame.
And it's one of them two.
I'm not going to put it on the organization.
Yeah, I forgot Drew.
Yeah, that idea.
Yeah, Drew, too.
Throw him and Kristen are together.
Helped y'all win the championship and y'all.
Yeah.
So nobody would have trade Drew for Dane Leonard if they could?
I wouldn't.
I wouldn't.
I wouldn't.
I would.
You would have?
If that.
Just thinking about it, coming off a championship, I would not have.
No, they didn't come off a championship a couple of years before.
Long couple of years.
But it was like, what, two years?
It was two years in a move?
It said it got two years ago.
Two years of move?
They went 2021.
2022.
Well, yeah, 2022, 2023 was the year booting them loss.
They lost in Miami.
They won 2020.
They won 2021.
They won't 2021.
They lost to the Celtics and the semis the next year.
Yeah.
But they were still, I believe, what, third?
Drew Holiday.
Third.
Then they lost at the heat when they were first.
And then Yonis wasn't healthy, though.
Yonis only played three of those games.
So I'm not, I wouldn't, I'm not trading Drew Holliday for Dame Lillard.
No.
Okay.
Not at that point.
I just, right.
Not, they'm a hell of a player, but what Drew does, he proved it again, right?
Yeah, he definitely went over there and won.
Like, he proved what he, his most thing.
The reason why?
Because they were trying to hit the panic.
They were hitting the penalty.
Yeah, because Yonis wanted more.
Yonis wanted more.
He was saying it more and more and more and more.
So, I mean, to get a top 75 player, Dame to come to more, that's big.
Like, that's big, man.
I get why they, I understand why they did it.
Yeah, I understand why they did it, yes.
But I look at the type of total basketball player that Drew Holiday is and the leader that he is
and everything that he brings to the table.
I would prefer that over what Dane brings to the table.
And they look better on paper.
Like, that's a, Dame a hell of a basketball.
It looks better on paper.
They do.
Top 75.
I'm not taking anything off.
his plate. He's saying overall, overall, better basketball player.
So they're just like totality. So just hear me out, right? Just same situation, right?
Us in Denver, AI, and Mello, right? We're losing the first round.
25 apiece. With Chuck. Chuck, hell of a basketball player. I love him to debt.
It just wasn't going to work with him in Mello. We trade Chuck for Choncy. We make it
to the Western Conference finals. Same people. We just move one that that's the difference.
all I'm saying, right?
Hell of a basketball players, but fit in what we were trying to do.
They was 30 and 13 and they got hurt.
So I can't really, I can't really say that because they got hurt.
You got hurt.
Yeah, 3013, they got hurt.
They got hurt.
But they also got hurt.
Like, they had, everybody's healthy.
But still, if people are doing there, you still got Yonis, it's a different.
It's a different. I'm saying?
I'm thinking, he's a winner.
I think the issues they had were Drew Holiday in the playoffs.
Couldn't score.
Couldn't score, yeah.
But that's what he, so.
But that's what I'm saying.
We don't have the scores anymore,
Middleton's out.
You're the number one option,
and you're not doing very well.
When was it?
So that's funny.
I heard it.
The big game, John has missed.
Yeah.
Drew was horrible.
I heard that small way.
Chris was planning them games.
That small way of thinking.
Like, I heard that small way of thinking that they were thinking,
yes.
But what Drew is as a basketball player,
That's winning basketball, no.
I'm training the day for Drew.
Yeah, that's fine.
But, that's cool.
That's cool.
I'm not doing this.
But the thing was, Drew won and won it again, didn't he?
They figured with their defensive players, they needed more defense.
They know they needed more off championships.
As a fifth officer, come on, don't do that.
They need a middle to.
Come on, kid, don't do that.
He got, he was running around.
Man.
Doing that serious?
No, I'm saying with Boston, like the players that he played.
No, the players that he played with?
No, for sure.
Did he do a job of walking when they're in Boston?
Yes.
Yes.
Yes, as the third option, right?
Yes, as the third option.
So when we need him to be the second.
I don't expect that from him.
So how are we going to win it then?
The same way y'all won it before?
We haven't won it the last two years.
I expect him to be who he is.
Right?
I expect him to be who he is.
A leader, a defender,
knock down shots when he's,
cool and dope.
Yes, all of, yes.
But for him to go out and be like, damn, he had I got to go score 35 a night.
That ain't, no.
But even he even trying.
But then you don't have Chris Middleton that's not in there.
So we need.
He played all five games.
But he played.
He played all five games.
Average 23 a game.
When they lost in Miami.
So because of his performance, they felt that we just need, we need someone better.
That's 17.
17.
And what did Jimmy Buller?
19.
What did Jimmy Buller average?
The last three games.
Look at his performance.
For who, Drew?
Yeah, or who?
And that's why they wanted someone who was more stable in the playoffs.
But they all did that thing in the playoffs.
What's more stable than winning to happen you win a championship?
Yeah, but in a year ago, we're talking about it's the same guy.
We're talking about the next two postseason.
We need someone who can do that in the playoffs.
I'm about losing.
I'm not rolling.
I'm not rolling.
So they said we're going to upgrade our offense and slack on the defense.
Now, this is the problem.
They went into the season, and this is why I say, I hate people who.
who just target stats and not tell the whole picture.
So if y'all remember the beginning of the season while they were winning,
they kept saying, oh, the defense is worse than last year.
They're worse than last year.
That was the push.
Okay.
The problem with that was, is the offense was seven to eight points more.
Their defense was down.
So they was actually plus three from last year to this year.
So they were actually a better team.
But everyone focused so much on the.
offense. That's why Doc
was able to say, oh man,
it's the defense, the defense, y'all ain't playing
no defense. No, they're playing better offense.
So you're saying, you're talking about Adrian Griffin's
year, though. Yes.
We still talking, I'm talking about the boo-hoser
when Chris and Drew
was there, and the reason
Drew is the perfect
guy for that situation. We don't move
on Drew is not because he couldn't
score, because before
the two years prior to the championship,
he was being who he is.
is because we still got Chris averaging 23.
We got Yonis doing his 30 ball.
But when Yonis goes down, we need extra boost that they're looking for Drew.
This is unconventional for us to be like, all right, we're depending on Drew to give
us now 25.
We're going to do what we can while Yonis is out.
But that next year, to get off of him in that summer to say we're going to go for the
explosion side, we're going to go all offense now, you're getting rid of the championship-style
defense that brought you to this prominence.
that's going to change everything.
So Adrian Griffin, the defensive coach, he comes in, he says,
let's play defense.
Who really doesn't play defense like that?
The guy they brought in.
And we all talked about what happened when he came in.
It was like, they're giving up something that Dame can't replace.
He can't replace that anchor because you called him the anchor.
Drew was the anchor for that.
He's the first line of defense.
Yonison, Brooke, is the back line.
So if you got a guy who can't get past these guys to get back there,
you good.
Dame is letting them got,
it broke down the defense.
Adrian now has accountability
for these guys.
Like, hey, look, come on, guys.
We got to,
whether it's the messaging
or whether the fuck,
nobody could take it,
it don't matter.
So where you get to score?
What I'm saying is they were
mathematically better.
They were.
They were better on offense.
No, but they're giving up,
they're giving up three more points,
but they're scoring six more points.
So they're mathematically just a better team.
They got what they asked for.
But because,
But because the media and everyone was throwing so much on the defense event,
it's easy for someone to come and say, hey, man, the defense is, you know, I'm a defense coach.
I can lock these people down.
I can make the place a better defense.
And you remember what I said?
And it was like, the defense is better.
When Doc first came, they were like, the defense is better.
And I was like, no, they're just, they're not scoring anymore.
They're slowing the ball down.
They were scoring 122 before.
They was scoring 122 before.
now they're scoring 1-16.
So he's putting less possessions in there.
So the offense, the defense, they don't score as much.
So it's pretend.
It's pretend defense.
And that's his formula too.
It looks like you're playing better.
All you did just slowed the game down so they don't score more points,
but you're not doing anything.
And you've got 17 and 19, but look at the opponents of scoring against him.
And what did that do to their offense?
When you talk about Dame and Janus,
What is Janice strong suit when you talk about what they were doing?
Fast.
Play fast, play fast.
Now Doc is saying, no, no, no.
Let's play half court basketball.
You and Dame, y'all getting the pick.
And it's like, well, it don't work because Janis really used to getting the ball and doing his own thing.
He's a ball stopper.
You got Brooke lifted on the side.
You got Chris just waiting for Dame to do what he do.
Dame don't know whether he want to do it or not.
Everybody's trying to please everybody.
And Doc is not the type of coach who's just come in and set the record.
straight, so everybody is just discombobulated.
I can't be mad at it, though.
I mean, you got a top 75 player coming to Milwaukee.
Like, John Horton, like, I can't, I can't be mad at it.
I understand why.
Like, the gamble was great.
To me, it just didn't fall.
But it did.
If you're 30 and 13 and these guys didn't really have no training,
they didn't really, and this is the start of,
this is the start of my season, 30 and 13.
I'm good.
No, for sure, they were third.
Like, I'm good.
This is, because you remember, we were still,
asking a question, okay, Drew, Drew Holiday, they lose Drew Holiday, which was considered a net guy, right?
And I don't think they studied enough tape on him to actually see what the fuck he does.
For sure.
The game change.
Because people didn't realize, wait a minute, he made defense, Janice and Lopez.
You remove him, where the fuck was they defense at?
For sure.
Aren't they the, aren't they the, where's they defense?
And the problem that they didn't see was Drew paid attention to everything.
Right? He would, he could have Steph Curry over there. If he sees something going on and they're looking at a plane, he will leave a man because he knows you're not trying to pass it.
Yeah, you're not trying to. So I'm going to, I'm going to leave and go this way. So he did a lot of things that you have to be entwined with defense to do. You don't see a lot of defenders even do.
it he does. So he was
a guy who cleaned up a lot of
usually it's a big man. You're never really seen a guard
do that much cleaning up.
So it made those guys look better on defense too.
I've seen two. Him and Jake Head.
Oh, Jay Kid. That's it. They're like Mike Head.
I've only seen two.
Him and Jake Ed. Like that shit.
Sit back there and just quarterback done. He could be guarding Reggie
like he'll be guarding Reggie Miller, though.
And we'll tag some shit, get a
like what the fuck? No, you're guarding
him. He's the best shoot in the game.
Got you, bro.
I got you.
And that's what I see with Drew.
But like I said, I understand what they were thinking.
Yeah.
But I was watching everything that Gil just mentioned.
All the shit that he made up for within the confines when they wanted.
All the shit that he did for that, right?
Dame, like I said, Dame is who he is.
Like, I'm top seven.
Yes, for sure.
I get what the thought process was.
But for me, I'm a Drew Holiday.
guy from how he affects winning and losing.
That's all.
So if they would have kept them, so say if they would have kept them, right?
Do you think they still in the same position they're in now?
Yes.
No.
Losing?
No.
I think them firing boothoes was the first situation, right?
I think they'll still be in the same position.
They'd be eight.
I don't think that's a lot that came from that decision.
Okay.
Right there.
Oh, crazy.
So you fired Boonehozer, 2020.
Bootthorth, then I think it's a, so Boone still had his job.
I think it was.
They was panicking, right?
They was panicking.
Yonis don't get hurt 2023.
In theory, Buck's advanced at least the second round.
I don't know how to go on beyond that.
So you lose Bowdenholy.
To bring in Dame.
Yonis misses 2024 playoffs with the calf strain.
Dame has an Achilles injury, 2024.
Misses two games in that series.
Then you go 2025.
Obviously, Dame torn ACL.
So.
Now you hamstring over your roster because the pay,
payroll.
But look, so look, you do this, right?
It's a lot.
But you haven't seen.
But wait, you do this, right?
You're right.
But guess who on the other side of this is winning?
Drew Holliday.
He went from, I know what I do it.
He just broke down about Drew Holiday.
The reasons why you were actually bet on him,
he went to another team that needed this to win.
Some pettiness from the Blazers side, if I'm not a mistake.
No, no, I'm talking about the Celtics.
But what I'm saying, you get him to the Blazers.
Oh, yes.
And we're going to send them to your
And we get this
This one piece that everyone's
Overlooking like this is the type of guy that we
Need to take us over the top with a
defensive minded Jalen Brown
A defensive minded
Derek White
And you got a Prozingus
Who is also a defensive
Like a Brooke Lopez type
So you're like oh we can do this
I feel like Drew Holiday is probably
One of the most if not the most
Underrated Basketball
players that came out of the 2010 era where you go in there, 6-4, he does everything.
He's a student of the game.
And he went and proved it in two championships to be a point guard to go out there and
be what you needed to be for the team.
So, I mean, there was some overall pettiness, right?
Dame wants to get out of Portland.
Derrick Fisher.
Sam to the Bucks, trade Drew to the Blazers.
Dersers.
Blazers, say a few bucks, trade them to the Celtics.
Now you build a Celtics team that goes on to win the championship.
It wasn't all defense, Nick.
Come on, me.
Get your stuff together.
Get your shit together.
Get your shit together.
Even if you, if you, like even with Drew, like the thing why they got rid of me, they needed more offense.
Um, that championship team had more defense too.
They scored 117.
So they was, they scored a lot.
It's all the defensive players that they had that actually could trip.
So like you're talking about, I didn't even know Devinchenza was on that team.
Yeah.
You know, you got PJ.
You got PJ.
So you got PJ out there playing nothing but defense, Yonis Lopez, and Drew Holliday.
Bobby.
And Bobby.
So like, think about everybody can hold their own defensively, so it's easy work for them.
Right?
So when you start losing more defensive players and now Drew, hey, score.
And he's like, oh, hold on.
17.
I'm 17.
Hey, cool.
Yeah.
Championship team, 17, Janus Lees, 17.
Find you another.
You want more points?
You're another motherfucker.
I'm at 17.
I'm 17.
Hey, I'm Tobias Harris,
nigga.
My number 15.
But he would,
hey, my number 15.
He'd go from New Orleans vote.
Average 19, 21, and
19 in New Orleans the last three years.
To come to Milwaukee to get
three straight
all defensive.
Three straight at this team
with someone like him,
Janice, back there with him,
that's complimenting him,
three straight
in the voting for defensive.
the player of the year three straight.
He's averaging seven, like you just said, 17, 18, and 19.
How much more solid do you want to be?
And he's averaging seven assists, four rebounds.
Yeah, I just like it.
As just a solid point.
He's solid.
I like it.
Those moves don't get made, at least in my opinion, without.
Somebody has, somebody got to get to approve.
Here comes times when you're struggling out there.
You're struggling it offensively.
Motherfugger's sitting in that lane.
You remember who they play?
Miami, right?
Yeah, they're gonna pack it.
Miami put that wall up on Janus and I need somebody to pass it too.
You gotta shoot more.
I dig it.
Right?
You get frustrated in the series.
Right?
And we know what happens?
And what's the frustration?
Uh-huh?
What's the frustration when you come to, like he wants somebody to shoot?
I need, I need.
You're depending on the...
I need someone else to score to the relief so they can stop triple teaming me, dog.
But you need the coach to actually put something in the play, right?
You need to go to that.
Help me.
Come on, man.
Make something.
Make something.
Make something.
Hey man, go on the timeout.
God damn, man.
These motherfuckers.
You start looking at it here.
I got to make some shots.
Man, hey, do you see this wall?
This wall is here.
I can't run through the wall.
I got a bone bruise one.
I got a knee bruise.
I don't want to play this team.
So what you're saying?
So what's you're saying, though, if you're saying he's saying,
I need somebody to hit some shots.
Yes.
That means that in the summer.
Yeah.
I know just who the cause.
I need somebody to hit some shots.
Hey, Drew, you're my man's and all.
Love you.
You cool.
I come in the locker room
Give you the hug
You're cool
Been there before
So I know
I know the guy
I know
I know what it looks like
Yeah I know what it looks like
You out there
You get triple team
And you can't get your offense up
Because they got this solid defense
And you need guys
To do their job
And you don't have
Shooters
And so your defensive players
Start looking like
You know what
Yeah
I can
I don't need this much
Devenso on my T
so you start
doing that.
Let's keep this thing moving.
I don't need this much defense, God damn.
Fuck that.
All this defense is messing on my scoring when they were the triple team.

All right, let's move over to San Antonio if we can for just a moment.
Yes, sir, Gil.
You said something about Dodgers.
the Los Angeles Dodgers.
So baseball is back.
Baseball is back.
You didn't see last night?
Angus versus Angels?
They're going to three people.
Baseball being good through me.
Yeah, they're going to come back.
When did they come back?
A couple weeks ago.
A couple weeks ago.
Yeah.
This is America's pastime, right?
This is supposed to be like a big major sport.
Oh, it is.
And we don't see it.
We don't know about it.
We don't know that.
You don't.
You don't.
Lizzie's in baseball.
We are, we are.
I was at the age two last year.
I was at the age two last night.
You don't.
I'm just saying, you don't know his baseball one.
Where is the talk of it?
Everybody.
It's out there.
No, no, no.
What I'm saying is,
I'll leave your house.
Why do they pretend that basketball don't run sports talk?
Why are we pretending that?
It is football right now, right?
There's drafts going on.
I mean, there's free agencies, right?
LeBron James, Kevin Durant.
That's all we want to talk about.
Even Brumny.
Listen, they can talk.
this football shit all they want
to talk in the world
of sports
but basketball is
the talk
you can see the player's faces
I didn't even realize baseball
was back or there was
football drafts coming up
baseball don't need advertisement man
they got certain fan bases that
don't move they got showhead
hey they got certain guys that literally
they don't need to broadcast
when you see the motherfuck of tickets go up
they sold out
ain't even no promoting
for it. Baseball been around before Abe.
Mm-hmm. Yeah. So Jackie Robinson Day coming up so?
Mm-hmm. It's a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot. Now I get what you're saying because
basketball controls the algorithm. Because what happens when when and this is because
negativity. When when June 30th or when that comes in back the the championship is
over with why is there a dead period? Sports in sports media. Because why is there a
dead period.
We're doing up for summer league,
Gil.
No, no, I'm going to.
Why is there
a dead period in sports,
baseball and football?
Baseball is boring.
Oh.
Right?
But they still,
they still watch it
because they love it.
They love it, but it's boring.
Dead than the motherfucker.
Yeah, yeah.
Baseball is boring.
You get a ticket,
you get a ticket in
damn near August.
Cayne Mark just got a ticket
for speeding.
News.
56 over 55.
Like, wait a minute.
Why are y'all talking?
about this all?
It got nothing.
It got nothing.
But other sports is going on.
Okay.
But there is a hardcore sector of baseball fans.
Baseball is boring.
Like you said, but once you learn the sport, it's actually quite entertaining.
No, it is.
You get a lot more Hispanic friends if you go to the Dodgers game, bro.
Everybody bonds over for a band.
Everybody.
A Dodger doll is it?
They are the most loyal.
Like, it's different, bro.
It's like, I love baseball.
I be playing the show.
2026, I'll be playing that shit every day.
But that shit is a different love of the sport.
Like, you got to actually be in tune with it.
To be able to be outside in that hot-ass sun,
a fucking three and a half hours.
Like, you got to be,
you got to be dedicated to that shit.
And you don't be saying niggas out there like that.
They just don't support that shit like that.
They'll go to a couple if you got some work with you.
You know what I'm saying?
Go check it out.
But for the most part is the black and Latino communities,
that is the one safe haven.
Hockey.
They come together.
I just
I'm just asking
I'm just asking
K.
D.K. Hernandez.
I just like
throw KK.K.
Yeah.
We do like sports center
and stuff like that, right?
Yeah.
Right?
Those are the most
famous people, right?
Have you ever noticed
none of them is famous
for football
takes or baseball takes
or any?
Those guys who get famous
have you noticed
is always talking
the basketball topics
and they're attacking
the basketball players?
It's the best thing.
It's the most entertaining.
Have y'all never noticed that?
Like, when you look at the numbers,
if you go to their individual page,
it's usually the, when you see millions,
million views, it's a basketball player they're talking about.
When they're talking about day sport, 40, 50-7.
They're family people.
They don't do shit.
They clean.
They wear a helmet.
You don't know who they are.
I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, man.
They're well-spoken.
I mean, I'm looking at it, and I just be trying to figure out, like.
Well, I'm sure it's same as college or same in your adult life.
When you go to the club,
You show up to the club, they know who you are.
Football dudes wear helmets.
So you have to tell them who they are.
They get called by their numbers.
Baseball, they don't have baby mamas and shit like that.
They ain't allowed.
They ain't allowed.
Not publicly.
Not publicly.
Not publicly.
No, no, because they're all over the water.
Yeah.
Not publicly.
You never know.
Tony already got about five baby moms.
We have no idea.
That thing is active.
No, but.
Hey, what is Aaron Judge?
Hey, y'all can say I'm tripping all the time.
Don't worry.
I'm going to point it out
when basketball season is over the way.
He's black.
He's black.
He's black.
He's black.
I'm going to put it.
I'm going to win.
Let's shift back to some basketball discourse.
Spurs came through with their first 60-win season since 2017,
as Wimby just reached the 65-game minimum.
Only played 64 regular season games but played in the NBA Cup championship,
which does not count for stats,
but did count towards the 65-game total.
So Wimby likely to take home his first defensive player.
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
I knew that one was going to get your turts up, right?
Huh?
Whoa.
Do you say it again?
Whoa.
So, played 64 regular season basketball games.
Spurs made the NBA Cup championship.
The NBA Cup does not count towards your regular season wins or loss totals or your stats total,
but does count as a game for your 65 game.
That's bullshit.
I don't do anything for that, man.
I know bullshit when I hear it.
Hey, that's killed.
They just took that out of thunder the way.
What?
Hey, what?
But ah, ah.
Hold on, he did play.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Damn.
Okay.
So.
Yeah.
The stats don't count, but the game count how?
That's, make that shit make sense.
It's when you.
You play in the game, but the shit don't count.
It's when me.
He gave him the opportunity to duck, Joker.
So my stats are off 65 games, but they're using 64 games.
Their stats, I believe, are off your 64 games, but they're using that NBA
Cup Championship as a 65th game
because only two teams made
it. It does not count towards your...
So the game don't count.
Your numbers don't count. So you might
why are you playing the game then? If the numbers
don't count. You get that 500 racks.
That shit.
500 francs.
So we already
got loophole. Yeah. And
you don't think the rest of the players, I got
64 games or someone
like Luca or someone like
you don't think they're going to
use this. Yeah. And they
As a complaint.
Absolutely.
Make the championship.
The NBA Cup means something, Gil.
Yeah.
They just stopped caring once the Lakers won the first when they tried to act like it did.
If my stats don't count, my game don't.
Yeah.
But you get that extra $500,000, so does that count in your heart in Vegas?
I saw some shit today about Bruce Brown.
I'm like, come on, man.
Played all 82 games, would not be eligible.
Come on, man.
Based on the 65 game criteria because he didn't play 20 minutes in some of the games.
That's some bullshit, no.
That's crazy.
He played all 82 games and you tell me some of my games don't count.
One of 18 players to do that.
No.
Wait, he played all 82 because he didn't play a minimum of 20 minutes.
Because he didn't play 20 minutes in some of the games that don't count.
That's my, fuck.
That's shit.
Oh, we're learning a lot.
Well, we learned it.
Our team producer, Baron Dam said that the All-Star game should count too as a game.
Well, might as well.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Might as well.
So, Kay, it's eligible.
Yeah.
If that's the...
You made me play the game, God damn it.
Yeah.
She's preseason fucking...
It's a paycheck, you get paid for it.
No, technically, they add it into a paycheck.
Well, technically, preseason should count.
Because if you get in the fight in preseason,
you get suspended.
You get suspended for a regular season.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, shit, it's about to be ugly.
So you can get in the fight game one in preseason.
You allow to keep playing all the preseason games to then miss a regular season game.
Absolutely.
So that should be where you can knock niggas out at.
Yeah.
technically.
And play the next game.
Spending for the rest of the
problem with you.
We got to back.
We got to back.
We got to back.
Knock your ass out today and tomorrow.
Yeah, that's the day and tomorrow.
That's wild, though.
So, Wimby 65 game eligible.
I'd likely to take home his first defensive player of the year.
He's not eligible for.
He only played 64 games.
But also he's probably going to make his first all-N-BA team, likely a first-team selection.
Dang, that's...
But...
Why, you ain't say MVP?
He doesn't have the support of the players or the media.
Well, he has the support of me.
I'm just letting you know.
That ain't enough.
It's plenty.
Top three most hated.
The top three.
Hate, hate, hate.
So you see his minutes played?
He got way less minutes, too, Wimby.
Out of everybody.
It's called Efficiency.
That's what I'm saying.
It's called Efficiency.
You only play 27 minutes a night, 28 minutes a night.
Efficiency.
So Wimby going to win those awards.
San Antonio tricked off an opportunity to make their playoff road easier
in the final game of the season against.
the Nuggets. Denver rested most of their roster only played Yolkich 18 minutes to get him
awards eligible. He played 65 games this season. While the Spurs have four of their five regular
starters with Wimby sitting the game out, a Spurs win would have dropped the Nuggets to the
fourth in the West, but now the Spurs faced the possibility of having to go through both the Nuggets
and Thunder if they want to reach their first finals since 2014. Spurs were four and one against
the Thunder this season, but just one in three against the Nuggets with three of those losses
coming during the Spurs League best
30 and 4 stretch since February 1st.
Wimby did not play in two of those games.
So Gil will start with you.
Did the Spurs play themselves
by letting the Nuggets get the three seed?
I can't say they play themselves.
I don't think they thought
the Nuggets was going to
basically tank the game.
Remember, everything is before the game.
No, no.
Nicola had to play that game.
No, no, so Nicola had to play.
So you're like, okay, you know what I mean?
If they win, they win.
Nicola's playing.
We sit in our guy.
If I know he was just going to play only a few minutes then sitting,
everybody else is going to sit,
then in hindsight, as you play chess,
yes, you will want this win.
Well, they knew that.
They knew that.
They knew Joker were just going to get to the 65-game threshold.
I'm just saying the new ones are going to play the whole game.
And they probably thought their team is better.
And if you watch the fourth quarter of the-
If Yotja is going to leave, our team without Wemby is still better than theirs.
So instead of just actually just capitalizing on it and securing that win,
so the road is a little bit easier, you know what I mean?
It's one that, if you can do it again, I'm probably sure that they're going to play Wembe and try to get that win.
No.
But if you think that you think that you, you, if you think that you, you,
are going to go and then battle
seven games against Denver and
Yokic, which Yokic is going to beat
Winby up, to then go and play
the defendant champs and then have
enough for the championship.
Usually that's how East Coast
teams win is the West Coast
beats each other up and then it's easier for them.
So that's really how you flip-flop.
So this looks like, depending on who gets there,
Boston could possibly win this out.
Boston can possibly win this out because this, because of this right here,
because of this lineup where Denver and Spurs got to play,
then whoever plays in the second round,
then whoever plays got to play the defending champs next.
We're not scared of them, niggas?
We're not scared at them?
I mean, but never been there before?
I mean, Dipper has been a chance.
champion before? We're not scared of them.
We're not scared of them or the thunder.
No, no, I'm saying Denver been to the championship.
They just making that up. He announced
that. Come on, man. He's ducking nothing,
man. He was talking about last week.
I think the first made themselves.
He was going to miss this game.
Talking about. I know when we were going to miss this game.
I think the spurs made themselves.
I know they've been battle tested
a lot, but I mean, you know,
Denver, they have
you know, Tee Bull's first round, but if
if ants not hunted, I still think they get past that.
But then, you know, you got that hog.
that next one.
You know, and he, I mean, he's a champion.
He's been there, and you know what he's going to do.
Spurs were one and two against the will of the season two.
I don't know if that does anything for you, but, man.
Hey, we ain't been ducking joker.
Listen, listen, I'm telling you.
You know what, hey.
We're not the Lakers.
We're not trying to find a game.
Huh?
Nuggets won 11 straight games, right?
Mm-hmm.
Going into the playoffs, there's one 11 straight games.
They're playing fucking great basketball right now.
So, yeah, they're going to get out the first round.
Good luck, San Antonio, playing them in the second round.
Yeah, I think you played.
We don't need no luck.
They played themselves.
They played themselves.
We don't need no luck.
And I average 37 against you in regular season.
Regular season.
We don't care about doing that.
The difference between that is I play all the minutes in the playoffs.
I play all, I play all the men.
We play a lot over here in the playoffs.
Winby 29 minutes per game.
Say it again.
And guess who they...
Say how many minutes again?
What they're 29?
All right.
And they got another big guy over there
that they can bring in
and I play them motherfuckers together at times.
I'm going to need them.
I'm going to play Valatunis and Yokic at the same time.
Hey, Valatunis, get him.
Yeah, come over here and get it.
Yeah.
Come over here and get all this.
For a team that's never made in the playoffs
and you're a rookie,
this was an opportunity
for an easier role
because you would want to play
in the second round.
to Lakers or
Who would be in that?
Why?
Huh?
The Laker under Houston.
Why?
Yeah.
Why?
Why, though?
We didn't even supposed to be here.
We ain't supposed to be here.
So it would either been Lakers or Nuggets.
We ain't supposed to be here, though.
But you are.
So we're not going to try to take the easy, bro, because we're here now.
No, yeah, no what I'm saying is.
Right now, if you let, if you let, if you were to, if you were to won, they would
went to four.
Nuggets would have dropped the four.
And Lakers would have went to three.
Because Lakers beat the Jazz.
Both those games were on at the same time,
but you had to have a feeling
that Lakers were going to be able to dispose of the game.
Yeah, so Lakers would have went to three.
What's the name, one that went?
So you'd have been playing, most likely,
the Lakers in the second round.
Don't matter.
What?
Don't matter.
Either one.
Pick your, pick your poison.
We cool.
Winby, you get the rest because you don't have a big man
that you have to worry about?
We don't need the rest.
We don't need the rest.
Like, talk basketball.
Don't need to rest.
Don't need to rest.
Don't eat the rest.
Those are just words.
He's been restricted minutes the whole season.
He's been restricted minutes to the whole season.
Literally, he just pointed out the minutes, right?
Wimby has the lowest minutes out of all the people that have been non-eligible.
He literally had been managed to have a load, his whole minute's restriction go up.
More this, Pacific.
We do know he's going to.
He's going to do it.
All his minutes.
Talk with the unbiased.
Been going in.
Talk with the unbiased.
Talk with the unbiased of it.
Talk with the unbiased of it.
the bias of it.
So you don't know if he can do it.
Like, you think you can just,
you think you can play in regular season,
27 minutes old and then play some 48s?
No, we ain't saying,
I ain't saying 48s.
I'm saying 38th.
We can do 38s.
The best player in the world is who you're going.
You're not going against Ruy.
Like, if you were going against Ruy.
The last time we played against each other,
I had 37, you had 40.
Yeah, and I'm going to have that every night.
That's cool.
You're going to have it.
But y'all barely won.
Y'all barely won that based on.
Our guy missed in a shot.
Our guy missed a little tippy.
Like, we're supposed to win that game.
That wasn't supposed to be a lost game.
You're talking about this second place shit, man.
Regardless of all of that.
Regardless of all that.
When we talk about these next games in the playoffs,
we're ready for that.
We're ready for that.
We're ready for that.
But you're talking about how the Spurs kill OKC,
but then that's the Spurs the same way they,
y'all did that.
Say what?
Tell them again, Nick.
The way you talk about the Spurs,
how they kill OKC.
The Nuggets did that to the Spurs, though.
What's the record?
One and three.
One and three.
One and three.
He ducked.
He ducked him.
He ducked him.
That's it.
That's it makes sense.
Jay and Williams didn't play.
Jay does.
Jay does.
And one and three and he didn't play in two of those games.
So you don't want to acknowledge the fact what the Nuggets are doing to the Spurk, but you want us to acknowledge of what.
Without the main guy.
Without the main guy.
Without the main guy.
And what we're doing to OKC is with their main player.
Okay, cool.
What are you talking about that?
No.
What he's talking about?
You're making shit up now.
So you're giving him an excuse you want to get women in excuse.
Jaylor Williams and you got your whole team.
Okay, so we beat them.
And he ducking yo.
He doesn't play in three of those games.
He ducked your goal.
Williams played three of those games.
How about when he playing Nicola?
How about when he played?
Do Nicole duck him?
No.
Yes, he do.
Do he guard him?
Huh?
Do he guard him?
What's the ducking?
Bro.
He's shoots up.
He's up.
You all.
You all.
Why don't Joker guard him?
The average 37?
But then you want to say, oh, you ducked him a couple,
Wimby guard him in the average.
Watch out.
Without the box.
Watch out.
It's called game planning.
It's called game planning.
Without that.
Without that's called game planning.
That means your ass don't want to come over here and get your
motherfucker face tore off.
Now go sit over there and guard somebody who can't do you see.
When I look up on the board, my coach wrote Gordon.
Yeah, don't guard him.
Yeah.
Yeah.
In the playoffs it is game program.
Okay.
Yeah.
Now we got our feelings out of it.
37.
Yeah.
One average is 37.
You're going to play them in the second round.
We know in the playoffs, we know what he does.
We don't know what you do yet in the playoffs.
We know what he does in the playoffs.
He's amazing.
He is the playoffs.
I have to, we have to get through this first and this is my matchup, right?
That means me as a player will be tested against a guy who literally has his way with me because I'm not strong enough yet.
So that means I'm going to be worn the fuck out seven games.
If we're going to win this series, that means I have to be able to be on the floor every single minute.
I'm most likely going to foul out at least one game.
I'm going to be in foul trouble some of those games.
After this battle, if we win, I then have to face that.
the champs.
If we get out of that round,
then I got to face Boston.
Do you see how hard the road is?
So if you could have won that game
to have an easier matchup,
meaning who's in seven?
Well, we don't know yet.
Sons or Blazers.
Yeah.
Round one.
Sweep.
Huh?
Lakers.
Then we play the Lakers?
Or the December 1.
The Lakers?
Timberwolves.
Good cool.
Lakers?
Timberwolves.
Or the Timberwolves.
Or the Timberwolves.
That means there's a guy over there.
I've been busting his ass since I was 15.
I've been buzzing Rudy.
There's a guy in Minnesota that's been busing.
Cool, cool, cool.
I got, we got a lot of those.
The Luggins have been losing in the semi-finals the last two years.
We're talking about this year.
We're talking about this year.
We're talking about Mr. Playoff.
Mr. Playoff.
We're talking about right now.
The Joker's Mr.
We're talking about right now.
But he hasn't been to the conference finals.
He's a two years.
I said, so we ain't even thinking.
How is he missed her playoff?
And you ain't taking your team to the conference final.
But again, that's not the point.
The point is you losing.
You're going to get beat up guarding him.
You're not worried about that.
You're going to get a whole other team.
We got a whole bunch of real killers out there to go out there and play.
Against who?
Whoever.
Not against the number.
Whoever.
Without Winby?
Ever.
Without Winby?
Without Winby?
Whoever.
Not against Nuggets, you know.
Whoever.
Not without Wetts.
Hesel.
Fox.
All of those guys.
That's not enough.
That's not enough.
See, nobody.
We know Clay Thompson, right?
Yes.
Not against that team, you don't.
Every time he played in the championship, he kind of struggled a little bit.
Mm-hmm.
Right?
Mm-hmm.
No one never looked at the road he had to take as a defender.
To get there.
When he got there.
I got there.
James Harden.
I got a guard.
Dane.
I got a guard.
Who else did he have to face?
Name the best two.
So, but there was games where everybody he, he guarded was a top three, top five score to then get into, you didn't got no legs in the championship.
Guarding.
Carrey.
You know what I mean?
You have to guard Kyrie.
You have complaining.
You as an individual.
Now, what if that was Steph?
And he had to guard those guys.
leading up to that
that's windy
your your defense
is needed
against Yokinj
what you mean
to get to escape
I'm not a defense player to you
yes you're not eligible we play 64 games
three years but we're talking about
basketball man like I don't care
who you are I don't want I as an individual
if I'm a if I'm trying to get to the championship
and I'm the best defender in the world
and I'm a center
I don't think my first round
wants to be
David Robinson
then Hakeem Elijah Wong
and this Shaquille O'Neill
I don't want to fucking
where's McClure?
Where's McClure?
That ain't no
That don't even make sense
Where's Zaza Maturella?
That ain't where the old guy
Wemby's mentality
ain't no I don't want that
That's why he didn't his mentality
That's why he's not thinking about
Oh I need to do this
See stop talking for him
This is all about
Go out there
And play in front of you
Play in front of you
So every challenge that he's had this year, he played with the guy who's in front of him.
Whether he outplayed them or they outplayed him, he'd go back to the locker room and say,
I can't wait to see them again.
I can't wait to see them again.
I can't wait to see them again.
He's not scared of that shit.
30-7.
All that shit is all saying on me.
They don't mean nothing.
Like, why do you know what?
What do you mean?
That man is going to be ready to play.
He's going to get his ass busted.
Every game.
And he's going to be 22 years old.
He got plenty of energy.
He's got plenty of energy.
He's got plenty of.
We don't know that.
He's going to go out there and he's going to be competitive.
Period.
We don't know if he got plenty of energy.
So why we keep using hypotheticals doing it?
If we don't know, it's not using a hypothetical.
There's no hypothetical with the fact that he only plays 28 minutes a night.
That's a fact or hypothetical?
That's a fact, right?
We don't know if he can play 37, 38, 9, 39 minutes a night.
We don't know that.
But we know the other guy can.
We do know that.
It's going to go up if he does.
We don't know that.
We do know that.
We do know that.
That's a hypothetical.
We do know that.
One thing that is a fact is that they did play the first.
We don't know that.
That is a fact that.
They did play themselves.
If my best player is a defender and he only plays a certain amount of minutes and we're trying to ramp it up, my first round is against Phoenix.
Who's their center?
Okay.
Markway.
Portland.
Who's their center?
Right?
So that means for Wimby himself, he don't really have to exert much energy in
individually. Just help defense, right? If we win that game, our next matchup, Lakers, or Timberwolves.
So I get Aiden, if you win me. Rest day, right? Rest, another rest, you know, what's the name? Or Rudy Goldberg.
Gabbard. Right? So me defensively as a player, he can serve.
energy two rounds
for a defensive
player to you he's just playing
help side defense he don't have to worry
about his his personal
so he's conserving a lot of energy
well
because because
you guys didn't win that game
your second round
is the most important
so that means your individual
defense you personally
you and who
whoever has to guard Murray, but they have a lot of guards that can switch on to that.
They don't have a lot of bigs that can switch on the Yokish.
You have to play Yolkich.
See, I can conserve my guards energy, right?
Castle, you go there, you okay?
I can rotate my defensive guards against him so they can all stay a little.
Wendy has to actually use all of his energy in that series.
Win for a game.
Then you have to go up, if you win the game, you have to go up against O'Kee.
KC where now you have Chet.
Now Chet is like, oh, he's tired.
Let's, we're going to run Wimby.
We're going to run Wimby to first of a minute.
Like just, oh, he's tired.
If you did, so just to,
like, to help, like,
the one game that Wemby,
like Wemby played well in one game.
He had 37, right?
He had 37 in one game.
He played 37, 38 minutes in the game, right?
In order to have those numbers,
you have to try to match Nicola's minutes.
Right?
You have to try to match his minutes.
And to Gil's point,
he is going to have to guard him for all those minutes he's on the floor.
Because you don't have anybody else out there to do.
You don't have nobody else on your roster that can compete with him.
That's going to wear him out.
He can go out there and score 37.
Cool.
He can play 37, 38, 39 minutes tonight.
It's going to be a detriment.
Because you got to, to your point, he's a two-way guy.
So he's going to have to play on the other end as well.
So good luck.
But, hey, I would have to want.
I would have wanted to have the second round like.
I would have wanted the second round to be a lot.
Y'all don't think them are going to be more tired coming into that set?
How?
What against who?
Who they play first round?
No. Minnesota?
Minnesota.
Minnesota been kicking their ass the last two years.
What we're talking about?
But what I'm saying?
But what I'm saying is, Nick, you wasn't supposed to do all.
Jamal Murray wasn't healthy last year, right?
No, you just going to talk about last year.
They've been talking about this.
You said, you said they will be tired, right?
No.
I'm asking the question.
Is my best player going to be tired?
You should, you might go seven.
No, it's my best player.
Is Rudy going to force him to play defense?
Your best player is not going to be hard in Wimby either.
Your best player is always going to be taking the night off.
You can't take a night off.
He's guard.
He's going to take a dog.
He's not realizing 39 against him.
You are going to take it.
Just, just, just he is going to be tired.
Stop me.
No, he's not.
No, he's not.
You said the team.
He's not.
Right? The team, like my team, who I have,
who I have, who my best player, the guy I need to win series?
Yeah.
But you got to do a lot of yours.
Who does he have to guard?
Where is his energy being spent?
He don't guard nobody anyway.
Cool.
That's a lot, though.
Yeah, I know, but on the defense.
I get the score on Rudy.
And I don't got to play.
Why you think Steph, how do you notice Steph?
Steph is going to, they're going to conserve all the energy for Steph.
He's going to guard the guy who don't want to shoot so he can play just offense.
He don't have to play offensive defense until so much for them.
He doesn't have to do rebounding, assisting, and scoring for one team.
You got to do a lot.
Not really.
He has to do all of that for six to seven games.
That's nothing.
I mean, give me the ball.
Look where he played for.
Give me the ball.
He just did it for 65.
He just did it for 65 games.
But what are you talking about?
Winby supposed to be tired and jokes.
Because he got to play both.
Because he played 27 minutes.
He's not supposed to be tired.
He will be.
I mean, I mean,
Who's on Phoenix
that he got to worry about
Or who's on Portland
that he got to worry about
Nobody, that's what he said.
No one.
This side might be a sweep
and they're going to be waiting on Joker
and then you're going to have a battle.
Denver going to sweep Minnesota as well.
What's wrong with the battle?
What's wrong with the battle?
What's wrong with the battle?
He's not healthy.
What's wrong with him?
Nick, Nick, Nick, he's not healthy.
I hear you.
Nick, yes.
He is suing up and putting his uniform on.
Yes.
And he is not healthy while I put
putting their uniform on.
So, yeah, that's like an 80%.
So that's all I'm saying, dog.
Like, okay.
So he's going to go out there and chase Jamal Murray around right now?
No.
Imagine you have three, imagine you have three fight.
Let's see.
How about this?
How about this?
How about this?
How about this?
You get to fight all of us.
You have to fight all of us in one day.
All of us in one day, right?
Are you going to fight one of them second?
And me and him are going to be third or four?
What are you talking?
Yeah.
What I'm saying is, what I'm saying is
you have to fight us
back to back to back to back, right?
Are you going to fight
BJ then Kenyon,
then Rashad, then me?
If you do that, I have the best chance
of knocking your ass out because
they're going to wear your ass out.
If you get through them, you get to me.
It's easier for me.
If you go one, two, knock us the fuck out, go.
Then you work your way in.
Winby is going here, then here, then got the defendant champ,
and then I'm in the East Coast like, oh, you're tired.
You are tired.
You are tired.
It's basketball.
It's basketball.
You got a red.
You got rest days.
No, you don't know.
You've seen the work.
It's every other day, bro.
If you go to.
Seating is very important in the playoffs, man.
If you go through, if you go through history and look at math,
And you look at certain players matchups.
You got to play them now.
Like when Kobe kills Spurs, who did he have to go?
Bruce Bowen?
Oh yeah.
Lunchtime.
Easy work.
Lunchtime.
I got Bruce Bowen.
I can sit.
No.
I can sit and chill.
He's going to make them work.
What?
What are you going to do?
Sit in the corner.
So there's a re-
Go this going to that corner?
Yeah.
Now think about it.
In the Western Conference Finals,
In the Western Conference Finals,
Colb gets, he gets to just play offense,
so his energy in the finals is different.
The finals is where he has to play defense.
Just know what you're saying.
Kobe Bryant gets to just play off.
Kobe was guarding the guys who was scoring.
He wasn't just guarding Bruce Bowen in the corner, my nigga.
Who was the gardener?
Wasn't there a Tony Parker and Amano Genoobli on the floor?
Two other guys?
He guarding him.
He guarding Tony.
One of them?
For sure.
Whoever's killing.
I got whoever's killing.
But Derek Fisher out there is...
Well, guess what?
Let's talk about this.
Yeah, let's talk about this.
Let's talk about this.
Let's talk about this.
Let's talk about the guy that's after 37.
These dudes are young.
They're ready to play.
We can go.
We can go through history.
We can talk about anybody.
We can talk about anybody.
It's my best player.
What is my best player's road to the championship?
How burnt out is he getting?
how much energy can we can serve through the playoffs.
So when we get to the championship, he is ready to go.
So shouldn't Joker be trying to get his energy back
from averaging the triple double all season?
No, he's doing anything to sleep.
Okay.
You don't know now that it's the reason why he ain't been in the conference finals
last few years.
What does it go?
The last two years.
He ain't been in the conference because it's been burnt out.
He burnt out two years in a row.
Why are you bringing up old shit?
Okay, now it's old shit.
Yes, it's just making a valid point.
No, no, your point is old.
It's just making valid point.
We're talking about this year.
The last two years.
years. He ain't made it because he burnt out.
Was it the past fucking? My guy not going to make it
because he's going to be burnt out
because he didn't take the easy
road to the... What you mean?
What about this year?
Talking about this year.
Talking about this year.
Yeah, go, get his ass with us.
Got to play.
Get his ass to spot a guy.
Like I can tell you, the way to play off
shape out over here in the West,
Boston has a better chance
if they're coming out of East
because this is a battle in the second
and the Western Conference Finals
because the juggernauts are hitting each other hard early.
What about the pistons, Gil?
Yeah, and what about what?
Whoever.
What about whoever?
There they go.
They don't have a battle, too.
They ain't because they walk around the east.
Ain't no cake walk for Boston?
Yeah.
They don't cake walk.
They got to play New York second round.
Who?
Who?
Okay.
Easy.
Okay.
Now, now, now I'm going to say it again.
Who is challenging my two best players?
They beat them last year.
What I'm saying is who's challenging my two best players?
No.
No, I'm just out.
I'm asking, who, who is challenging my two best players.
Who ever beat them last year?
On Boston, on, on, Nick.
I'm talking about what my best, what positions are my best?
Hey, him a whole different place.
Tateham and Brown plays the what?
Right?
Now, New York, New York best players who is going to,
who is going to fight to death, play the one and a four.
Right?
They played a one in the four.
talking about their best players workload.
If you would listen to Rashide.
God damn.
He's talking about the best player.
Who do they have to guard?
That's what he's talking about.
I see what you're doing now.
No, that's what he's doing.
I see what you're doing.
He's talking about who does Jaylor and Jayton Taylor have to guard.
That's who we're talking about.
Yeah, but the matchup between New York and Boston ain't about two players versus two players.
About who to have the guard.
That's what he's saying.
It's a team game.
We have a team scheme and a team concept against these two guys.
Yes.
We don't have to match up for players.
for playing for them.
Yes, they do.
It's about who you have to guard every night.
We're talking who, man.
We are.
We are.
Yes, we are.
You're talking to,
who do I have to guard every night?
I mean,
I mean,
who's a scouting who's going to the final?
It's a scouting report.
What happened last year?
What was y'all got to guard?
What happened last year?
What was I have to guard every night matters?
What was the scound report when y'all was playing in the playoffs?
Depend on who you're doing.
I love.
I love, I love, I love, was it a team report?
was it a scheme?
Done.
Yeah.
I love playing.
You're not going to go.
I was all.
I was yours.
He just said this.
Oh, Aaron Gordon, you're going to guard him tonight.
This wasn't a personal matchup.
That's his matchup.
This was, this is our team strategy.
Joker, you're not to guard him.
And you're to guard him.
The same thing with Boston and New York.
Okay, cool.
Hey, listen, this is our team concept.
So what is that?
We're going to go into this.
Workload.
Workload.
Workload is, workload.
OG, make it.
So we're going to put the world.
O.G.
O.G., make them work.
Josh Hart, make them work.
Jock.
And O.G.
McHale.
Make them work, Mikele.
What is he talking about?
Make them work, McKell Bridges.
We got three guards that can play defense.
Make them guys work.
Are you going to play offense?
Like you said.
We got Jalen Brunson and Carol Anthony Towns.
That's our offense.
So, yeah.
So what you just said.
So that means I don't have to worry about Jalen Brown or Tatum
over-exerting himself on defense because they're bad.
player is a point guard and a power forward.
So that means they gets to play one side of the...
Actually, it's a five.
Please don't misspeak.
Please don't give it.
He's a five.
That means...
That means Tatum.
That means Tatum and Brown on the defensive end have a lighter workload.
You don't think Brown's going to be guarding Brunson?
Now, if Brown has to guard Brunson...
Derek White.
Now, if Brown has to guard Brunson...
Very White.
Right?
And stop Brunson and try.
how to score a fucking hundred points, he's going to get a little tired in that series.
Then that very next series, if he has the same type of matchup and we win, by the time we get to the finals,
I know this player don't have that energy.
Right?
So like Shay, like Shay, in the playoffs, people don't realize what Shea does in the playoffs.
See, Shea plays defense, but he never has to guard the best player because they have DORP or all these other defenders.
So you can hide him on defense.
So that means he can start off.
If you start cooking him a little bit or he's getting a little fatigue,
get him.
We're playing the back end.
So he gets to conserve his energy a lot.
I got one for you.
So just for shits and giggles, right?
Let's say Jalen Brown does guard Jason,
fucking Bronson.
Cool.
Tatum, no, but he is in his argument,
the best two-way player.
at the wing position, so guess what?
He can handle the workload.
Oh, so Wambi came.
No. We ain't seen him do it.
We haven't seen him do it.
We haven't seen him do it.
We're doing it all season.
We're talking about in the playoffs here.
We're talking about right now this year.
Playoffs ain't here yet.
28 minutes.
The playoffs ain't here yet.
28 minutes.
The playoffs ain't here yet.
So with Jalen Brown did,
and his hook and all it.
It was great, right?
So now it ain't, so we ain't seen,
have we seen, have we seen, have we seen him do it in the playoff?
We had to go out the best guy every night and go out and score.
We haven't seen it.
We have not seen it.
Yeah, we have not seen it yet.
We've seen Jalen Brown do it.
Yes, and no.
Okay, cool.
We haven't seen Wendy do it yet.
So therefore, and we only know he only has been playing 28 minutes tonight.
These are facts.
He's only played 28 minutes tonight.
During that regular season that you just spoke over shot,
he only played 28 minutes tonight.
So in those 28 minutes, he played well.
We haven't seen him play more than that consistently
because we don't know if he can do it or not.
They don't know if he can do it and not in San Antonio.
But guess what?
We will see.
Is Jayne Brown going to be tired?
Is Jayne Brown going to be tired from guarding Brunson and going to get buckets?
Well.
We were talking about your guy.
Oh, okay.
We're talking about your guy.
That's a good deflection.
No, we're talking about your guy.
You be deflecting when it comes down.
We're talking about your guy do it.
We actually talk about Jalen Brown.
We've seen him do it.
We've seen him do it.
We seen Jayon Brown do it.
We've seen Jay.
No, I don't believe so, no.
Because he's getting already.
I don't believe Wimby's in this time.
We've seen Jalen Brown do it.
If Jalen Brown does get tired,
Tatum doesn't have to do anything.
We've seen him do it before.
You see where they can.
They can switch up.
You want to find his MVP, didn't?
Right?
Wild Guard, the best play on the other team?
What said, right?
Hey, okay.
Right?
Been down this role.
You remember?
You remember, you know, Buck's championship.
Okay.
Buck's championship, right?
Okay.
Y'all remember what Yonis did in the finals?
Mm-hmm.
You remember that performance?
Do you know who he had to guard round one, two, and three?
Him, he's the best player on the team, right?
Mm-hmm.
Do you know who he had to guard his personal defender?
I thought we were talking about this year.
Clint Capella?
First round?
No, no, no.
First round against Atlanta, right?
No, no, no.
First round was against Miami.
Okay.
We're talking about four years ago?
I thought we were talking about the road.
He had to guard Trevor Reza.
Okay.
Trevor, it ain't playing no more.
No, no, go ahead.
Trevor is a round one.
No, go ahead.
Right?
Round two, he had to guard Blake Griffin.
That Blake Griffin.
Not the Blake Griffin.
You all know.
The Blake Griffin that was in, yeah.
So he had to guard Blake Griffin.
Clint Capella, the next round.
And then in the championship, the motherfucker got so much energy because he didn't have to do
nothing.
He's running through Aiton or Jay Crowder?
And they don't.
Wonder why he had all the energy in the world to just run up and down because for the first three rounds,
he didn't have to use no energy.
I thought it was because he was really good.
I just thought it was really good.
I didn't think he had to do with conserving energy.
He's just a really good player who knows how to play the game.
Yeah, so both of those things can exist at the same other fucking time.
Therefore, he's a really good basketball player.
And if he ain't had to guard nobody and play, he can, hey, play help defense for three rounds?
He wouldn't have done it anyway.
He's going to be a lot better in the fourth round.
Absolutely.
He wouldn't have done it anyway.
But he didn't have to.
He didn't have to guard nobody.
Right.
That wasn't the matchup.
We had PJ Tucker.
Oh, okay.
We had all those other defenders, yeah.
I was in the playoffs and there was a LeBron James and some rounds.
I remember we had to go against the Bulls, right?
And we sat in the zone because who was the best players on the Bulls?
The guards.
Kirk Heinrich, all of them blue all dang and stuff like that.
So it was like, yo, we're going to play a zone because our next matchup,
where we need all our energy is fucking Miami Heat.
So we set in the zone so we can conserve our energy.
Because their best team was guard.
You don't worry about energy?
Don't do that, Nick.
Because their best players is guard.
So if me, Larry Hughes, are our best players in Antoine Jameson,
and their guards as their best players.
That means us three and their three.
We're sitting here battling.
Then we go to Miami.
Right?
We go to Miami.
We don't have no energy to keep up with.
Because you got to remember Shaquille O'Neal's playing Brennan Haywood.
So that's all they're going to do is passing them.
That's all.
So that's his problem.
So we got to, that's that problem.
Now, we got to try to keep up with the scoring of Dwayne Wade and Shaquille O'Neill
and try to figure that out.
but it's your individual
matchups, man.
It's that simple.
Like, if you know, like,
the Philadelphia 76, right,
then we're playing Alan Iverson.
And Alan Iverson, first round,
has nobody to guard.
And he's just out there playing all offense
and just sitting in the lane.
And I got him round two.
I know he's trying to go for 60.
Because he didn't get challenged
defensively over there.
So he only played one side of the board.
That's a real thing in the playoffs.
That's a real actual thing.
How you know?
Because I was in the playoffs?
You was?
Yeah.
You went to the playoffs?
That's our cue.
That's our cue.
It's out the mud.
You were just out of the mud.
It's out the mud.
It's out the mud.
I ain't played in the playoffs.
I can't talk about this shit.
Then we go.
I was waiting on that full circle.
I was waiting on that.
It was timing.
I was actually looking at my wife's like at some point they're going to bring that shit.
You know.
At some point, I mean, when I got to the playoffs, I got a booklet.
Two stones in the check.
I got a booklet when I first got to the playoffs.
A booklet.
A booklet of everything, everybody done, your schemes, who's your guard?
Like what's you, like, you're going to be on this person?
I remember my rookie year.
We played against Atlanta.
We played against Atlanta.
We got Joe Johnson in them.
We got a whole booklet.
And our holes, we played them in the regular season.
the way we played them and now we play them in the playoffs
we play them a different way.
Different way.
Because it's a different scheme.
Did the booklet say conserve your energy?
No, that's a coach.
Did the booklet say, hey, make sure you can serve your energy tonight?
No.
Make sure you don't play as hard as you can.
I mean, but me guard Mike Bibby in that first round, I knew that, you know, I do that, you know.
I'm preserving my energy.
Because we're going to the next round.
Well, listen, at the end of the day, everybody had a booklet and you had your, you had your,
Hold on.
Unbelievable, man.
You don't need to say conserved the energy.
I do know this, though.
Sir?
If my matchup, if my matchup is we're playing the Cleveland Cavaliers.
And I'm guarding Eric Snow.
Another Eric Snow mentioned here on.
No, what I'm saying is that.
I'm guarding Eric Snow.
Defensively, do you think I'm going to?
to be challenged defensively.
Hence why I average
32 on offense.
Because defensively,
I got Eric Snow.
So unless they're going to target
me directly to make me play both sides of the
floor, Moe Williams
is getting all this work. It don't matter
who guards me at this point. It's all
offense because on defense,
I have Eric Snow and I'm just
chilling.
And that is a real thing.
my matchup is a real thing
that's why I say
to
to tame a lion
you need a lion
if I want to challenge
Steph
I don't put a defensive player on him
who can't play offense
no I'm going to put another offensive guy
so when you try to score
he's trying to score to now play defense
y'all going to burn each other out
but if I put
a guy who takes three shots a game
on him he come down
shoot a 50 footer, turn around, do this,
and then on his defense,
he just sits here.
You know why?
Because he only takes three shots a game.
That means he might take one shot every quarter.
Other than that, that means 12 minutes.
Seth is going to be sitting here doing this, doing nothing.
Because he only takes three shots a game.
So in reality, he's just resting on defense
because this guy is not challenger.
But if he's guarding a guy who takes 20 shots also,
his ass is running around all day.
You mean hiding him on defense, right?
You mean like, Steph, after you shoot, go get the weakest offensive player
no matter who's on the player.
Yeah, that's why they do that.
That's why they do that.
That's hence why they do that.
I know where everybody is.
But do that.
Hence why, like Houston, you know, in Houston, they're like, shit, we're going to guard you on defense
and we're going to try.
You guard eight times if we're going to put you in the post.
If you guard it, we're going to do picking rolls.
Like, it's, that's why Steve Nash and Tony Parker series were so good.
because they both did pick and rolls
trying to burn each other out.
It was a force.
They couldn't put Steve Nash on nobody else.
So what they did was, if you go back at that series,
they did Red Roll twice.
They're going to hit Steve Nash
and then hit him again before they even run offense.
They were going to hit him two times every single time,
pick and roll, pick and roll.
They tried to tire him out.
So by the time the fourth quarter came,
he didn't have his legs and he wasn't running as much.
Thing, man.
All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
One last, actually two last topics for the day.
Let's shift over to Los Angeles.
LeBron spent most of this season as the second or third option for the Lakers, embracing
those roles for the good of the team.
But you never won, though.
That's the thing.
We never won as a team because I got hurt.
All that you said, you name win.
Like, it didn't matter if, like you had 32, you lost.
And other guys shot three shots, they won.
Like, they don't matter.
Like, you're saying things that if you won.
No, how about this?
Then I can do this.
I can just go through every, see, because I do all my research and my history,
I can go through any team.
Any team, you can go through the 96 Bulls.
You can go through the, remember, I gave you examples of Golden State
and told you why Clay be doing this because of who he had the guard,
those juggernauts every round.
I went through Janus.
I can go through anybody you want.
Their role, their personal role as the best player
And how easy it was
And the ones who had to play their position
Like I got to guard this person, this person, this person
And what they did in the finals in the championship
How it looked
Right? So if Wimby's gonna win a champion
They won.
Clay did his job
They won
He wasn't tired at the end, they won
But Clay wasn't the best players
Yeah
Yeah
So why are you just bringing it?
So Clay wasn't the best.
I'm just saying why Clay didn't perform well in certain games because who he had to play.
And the best player, Curry didn't have the guard anybody.
And that's why he performed.
But how he performed.
So when you're talking about even go, you go, you go LeBron James and go through the finals and who he had to guard.
You go through anybody.
You can go through, you can just go through research.
It's there.
It's there.
You just go through the road of what that best player.
Winby is the best player on the team.
He is the best player on the team.
You got to play.
In the second round, his matchup is devastating if it goes seven rounds.
Because he will be challenged all seven rounds.
The guy average is 37.
That means he's getting the ball every single time.
That means he is playing defense every single time
and then trying to play office every single time for seven games.
And then if we win that, we are playing against a team who plays
full court basketball injury.
The man will be playing basketball.
That's what you're supposed to.
That's what you live for.
Seven games.
Hard court.
We had to play to the wire.
We've earned this.
Now we're ready for the next round.
But we get rid of Joker early and you're saying,
this is not tough as match up.
We ain't worried about nobody else.
We just need to do this game.
We need this series.
He's going to push me to the limit.
Yes.
We're going to take this challenge.
It was a bad.
Who did my best player?
get challenged by.
You see, still not getting it.
Who did my best player have to guard,
Luca?
Did my best player
had to play Ant Man?
Did my best player have to play
any of those guys?
No, I have crash dummies for that.
I got crashed.
I got crash dummies to do that.
So my best player gets to keep
being the best player.
He gets to, that is a thing.
I'm sorry.
If you, when you leave here, you want to go and
Look at every champion.
If you want to go look at every champion, look at the best player.
Look at his road.
Look at his personal road.
Not the team.
Look at his personal road.
You want to go to Jordan.
Look who Jordan had the guard in those playoff series for him to average 30 every game and 40 and 50.
Look who he had the guard, actually.
Do you want to name some of the people he had the guard?
That's cool.
Do they want to do that?
Going back in history, the brutal.
Yes.
That's what I do.
I go through his, I look at history.
That's not what's happening right now, though.
It's not.
I just told you, Shays Road.
It's 37 in night.
Not going on right now.
37.
I just went through here.
It's history.
Shays' world?
It's just history.
It's history.
About to change history, though,
22-year-old.
When I Bronzains won the finals in the bubble,
who did he have to play through the round?
Who did he have to go?
High-quality opponents, Gil.
No, no.
No, who did he?
He has to go.
Some of the toughest NBA here?
How is he still playing at 41?
Because what position ain't that strong?
So he gets to survive.
He just elevated his game.
But speaking of LeBron, Joe.
Same reason Anthony Davis wants to play the four.
It's easier.
We just got to play Yonis.
That's it.
Gotta play Yonis twice the year.
That's it.
Other than that, it's a breeze.
You mentioned LeBron.
LeBron spent most of this season
is second or third option
embracing those roles for the good of the team.
But it's stepped up with Luca and Austin
Reef, both sideline,
Definitely. So Brown was named Western Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season and record 70th time in his career.
41-year-old average 24 points, 10 assists, six rebounds while shooting 56% from the field, 50% from deep in 27 minutes per game only played.
I think first half against the Utah Jazz, so skewed those numbers.
Lakers bounced back from another blowout loss of the Thunder, which some of you might have saw last week to end the regular season with three straight wins over a juggernaut, Warriors, sons, and Jazz Squad.
So in the four games he's played since Luca and Reeves have been sideline.
So, God, we will start with you.
How is LeBron look to you as the Lakers number one option in this limited sample size heading into the postseason?
It's a question.
Mark at the end of the game.
It's like saying the number one option on the Wizards, right?
Not a playoff.
Someone got to put up the numbers, okay?
All right.
That lets you know how horrible are you are that the team is
if our 41-year-old has these type of numbers
because no one else is capable, right?
We do have Luke Canar.
You see Luke Canar's numbers?
You like Luke Canar now?
Yeah, 17 rebounds.
We got a six-fold who can't, 17 rebounds.
Our big man, I didn't have 17 rebounds this year.
You like Luke Conard now?
So that lets you know what kind of what we're working with.
So it looks amazing.
But, I mean, it's not like there's any extra comp on the team for him to do any.
Hold on.
Luke can all has 17 rebounds against the math.
He had a triple double against the math.
That's the state of the NBA.
Not your ordinary Caucasian, can you?
That's the state of the NBA.
An elaborate Caucasian.
That's the state of the Lakers.
That's the state of the NBA.
When Luke and R can go out against 16, 17 rebounds in the game?
Hard working.
No, no.
Hey, shout out to his triple double.
Connard. He's a shooter.
Yeah, you were not right. My shooter
My shooter got a rebound.
Yeah, that's the state.
So, yeah, so yeah, but what
LeBron James is doing is, okay.
It is us.
We see the roster.
Like, don't pretend we can't see it. We see it.
I'm watching. I'm looking at it.
Luke Canard's one and only triple double.
So you said that's his 70th
player of the week? Player of the week.
That's it.
Is all?
The next player of the week.
I don't want to say Kobe.
What happened?
Damn.
70th, 70th player of the week selection.
I think it's just truly amazing just to see him at year 23.
Player of the week.
Yeah.
Like 80% of the NBA players can't do this.
I thought it'd been more.
You know how hard player of the week is?
Because we know it's all.
We know it's by it.
Like, you can average.
You can go 20 and 0 that month, right?
win player of the month
win play the week twice
yeah
win player
a week once
but please be player to month
though
yeah your team
undefeated you average
40 to month
but you're not
player the week
all four weeks
yeah
so LeBron 70
of the week
left is most in the NBA history
Kobe and Kevin Durant
both tie for second
with 33
yeah I just thought
it would have been
more
but to Gil's point
don't
yeah that's
I get it
that's always been a weird one
I get it.
But obviously, the Bronx said this is...
I'm three and one.
I'm playing the week.
All right.
Adjustment for him,
started this season with the sciaticas,
had to play,
take a backseat to Luca
and the Austin Rees of points,
adjusting back into being the guy.
Lakers did win three straight games.
If the Spurs done their job,
not Joker,
would be the three-seat.
But you were talking to all that.
We're on the tie-breaker.
The tie-breaker.
The tie-breaker.
We would have been under pressure.
The 22-year-old freshman would have...
That shit is.
It didn't matter.
Who loves the game?
Love competing.
All that tie-breaking shit didn't matter.
Must be MVP.
I love competing.
I don't duck.
Yeah.
But.
Soccered blue.
No, I thought it would have been more than that.
But, hey, 70 is a lot in the next B.
shit, damn it.
40, 08, 37.
That's impressive.
Michael Jordan, 25 player of the weeks for those who care.
So therefore, that's, that should tell you enough right there, right?
To Gill's point.
With the John did.
Yeah, that's the Gill's point.
It's, yeah, you got, yeah, it's, they got to give it to somebody.
They just can't keep giving it to the same person every week.
LeBron, 41 player of the months, too, just in case.
Yeah.
Don't mention you guys.
Forty-what?
41 player of the month?
Yeah, like I said, they could.
God, damn.
Every month, just me.
They just got to give it to somebody else.
That's all.
That is what it is.
How do you hate your favorite?
How do you hate your favorite player?
What's the next topic?
Well, I say, shot in the LeBron.
James throwback high school jersey St. Vincent, St. Mary.
You don't even have that one. You would...
Yeah, as you know, I'm plus size. They don't make some of those jerseys.
They just came back out. They did.
They did.
Yeah, Nike bring them back. Also.
All right. You know.
Shot.
Mm-hmm.
You like to offer any thoughts?
No.
No thoughts. Pass.
Okay. Pass.
That was easy.
Hold on.
It's one of the awkward silence for quick.
All right, let's keep it moving.
So after the Lakers win,
Over the Suns Friday, the Guardians Claire DeLoon asked Bronn what it takes to play for as long as he has at a high level that the average fan might not understand.
Brian had this to say.
It starts way before you get on the floor.
Obviously, they see it once the game is, you know, gone.
The popcorn has been popped and the lights are brighter, but that takes so much more like sacrifice and disciplining things over the course.
If you want to be really great at this, and if you want to do it for a long period of time, it's just,
There's so many hours that you've got to commit to it.
There's so many things that you, you know, maybe want to do that you can't if you want to be, you know, great.
So, but everybody's journey is different.
I'm just speaking with my journey.
But I do think that the game gives back to the ones who put the time in and put the time in and commit to the game.
That's just the game guy's rewarding.
You know, and we don't cheat the process.
I think that's what it's all about.
So I'm talking about game.
So 60 games this season, Brian average.
21.7 assists, six rebounds.
Average at least 20, five, and five in each of his 23 seasons in the league.
So, that's why you hear what Brian said about doing the work that the fans don't get to see behind the scenes.
In your opinion, how impressive was LeBron in your 23?
Would you call it a successful season for him?
Yes, for sure.
At his age, still demanding, winning, and being great in greatness.
He's LeBron James, man.
the cane. He put it in the time. You don't really see them in, you know, TMZ-type atmospheres. You don't
hear too many stories about them. He kept a tight group, spent with a million-send dollars on his body.
Yeah, man, he took it serious, and it paid off for him.
I respect it.
60 games in the season for LeBron, 41-year-old. Lakers, three-seat, most wins since 2020, when they won.
the hardest championship in NBA history?
No, I think it's amazing.
It's incredible.
Actually, at the age of 41.
80%, probably NBA players
couldn't do what he's doing right now.
Averaging 21, 6 and 7,
played 60-some games.
His team is in fourth and still in the playoffs
in the postseason.
So just hats off to him for that, man.
I mean, it's just truly incredible to see that
for a guy his age.
Can you, when you look at Willa?
No, fuck.
No, I'm just funny.
Thank you.
Okay.
It's on that.
No, it's impressive.
We've never seen it.
Guys that 38, 39, for like those years,
are a shell of themselves at that point.
He's defied science and history with what he's doing.
To play 59, 60 games and.
and still be doing it at, with some would most consider at a high level for someone his age.
It's impressive, very impressive.
And to, yeah, to his point, man, a lot of things have to go right, right?
You have to avoid major injury.
You have to avoid a lot of things.
You have to sacrifice things.
And I appreciate he's done all of those things to be at this point.
of his career.
Putting the time in, man, believing in the process.
And it's what you get out of it.
You get longevity.
You get consistency.
Yeah, that's what he's displayed in year 23.
Sean, when you look at LeBronza able to do this year in his 23rd NBA season,
25 and 5, yet again, stepping up to the plate.
When Luca and AR down as they enter the game.
these playoffs, how impressive
has LeBron been this season in your estimation?
I'm very impressive.
He's been very consistent.
I think
you know, like Eddie Murphy said to Stephen Wonder,
you want to impress me? Grab the wheel and dry this
motherfucker, motherfucker.
Let that production go up a little bit
more. Do more. Do the impossible.
Average 30. Take them to the chip.
Win it all. Do more.
Get out of the first round without the star players.
You don't think this is impossible?
Why?
Nick, why?
Nick, why?
He's been dunking in a motherfucker
23 years, bro.
Nick!
You can't jump now, man.
You can't jump in every day.
Why are you interrupting my statement?
I didn't interrupt yours.
He's just triggering, ain't it?
It's triggering.
I get it.
It's triggering.
I am.
I am.
But that's just my own.
You ask me, Josiah.
That's me.
That's how I feel.
I'm not impressed.
So would you be impressive if he was able to get this Lakers squad out of the first round?
Yes.
Without looking?
Yes.
That's impressive.
Would you admit that on the show if it does happen?
Yes, 100%.
That's impressive.
Get past KD.
Yes.
Guess what, Joe?
The playoffs will not start a job.
That day is not going to happen.
We're ready to lock up.
I hate to be the bear of bad news, but that day ain't going to happen.
We have DeAndre Adon.
Very impressive.
Very.
It will change the whole trajectory of his whole team besides Luca Donches.
He's ready to go, Kay.
Because you need to be.
Yeah, it does.
Like I mentioned, Lakers now face their biggest test of the season
opening round matchup against Katie and the Rockets.
According to reports, Luca will return to L.A. by this Friday.
He's been in Spain and in Slovenia getting treatment on his hamstring,
hopefully getting some revolutionary treatments,
with the hope that he'll be able to return by game three or four.
That is all bad.
I'm going to say it's all bad.
Also, I think it's going to be out for the entire first round.
And just to come back with a hamstring and try to come out and compete,
it's just, it's nasty.
If you were the Lakers'J.J. Redick, how would you try to build a game plan?
Okay.
Squeeze out some wins to hopefully get a little good back.
Pray.
Okay, see, then just whip our ass.
They killed the whole season in one game.
That's crazy.
It's prey.
It was.
One game.
It destroyed the whole season.
That's great.
One by 50s, three niggas I hurt.
Harbling.
Oh, my God.
I see you taking sufficient notes?
Because someone text me and said,
bro, you might be right.
Go to Tim Duncan.
And then see every year he won a championship
who he had to guard for his matchup.
And then when they didn't make it,
who he had to guard.
So his first championship, he...
Hey, I don't want to hear that shit,
I played like shit one of them years.
He had to guard Dean, Dean Garrett, J.R. Reed, Brian Grant, Chris Dulley.
Huh?
In the Saturday?
No, he guarded in the championship Chris Dudley and Kirk Thomas.
In the championship?
He guarded Chris Dudley and Kirk.
The first one?
In the championship because it was New York Knicks, you know, because he didn't play the center.
So they had David Robinson.
Right?
So Dave Robinson played all the centers.
So he played the Power Forrest.
And back then, Power Forrest wasn't really popping like that until all the, you know,
to like the end of the 2000.
So first round, he played Dean Garrett.
And NBA?
Second round, JR We got the Lakers.
Right?
We had Shaqs and he don't got a guard Shaq.
So he guarded JR-R-R-R-weed.
And then he guarded Brian Grant.
And then he guarded.
Who was final was MVP?
Was it Dave Robbins?
I'm pretty sure Dave Robbins getting his ass.
He had to guard Shaq.
He had to guard Shaq.
Kevin Garnett, motherfucker.
He had the guard Patrick Ewe.
So his ass was worn out.
Who was fighting?
The young dude, right?
Because he had all that.
They just told me to just look through it.
He got his assing.
They got his ass-war now.
Yeah, shit.
You got to go.
That five.
Then he got to go.
And you're like, no, his error was then.
My error.
I'm hearing those names.
Then in 2000, my error.
Then you got to five to fours, nigga.
You hear his matchup.
But then you hear David Robinson's matchup.
He's like, ah, God, daddy wore your ass out.
I got a, my first in the playoffs,
I had to wrestle with fucking J-O in the first round.
Then PJ Brown,
Charlotte and then motherfucking had the guard Juan and, like.
And, oh.
Yeah.
Twan, Twan, Twan.
Yeah, Antoine Walker.
And Twan Walker.
All-Star, All-MBA and Twan Walker.
It's Twan.
Your argument is about matchups or energy?
No, it's just matchups.
It's all this.
Okay, how about that?
It's matchups.
How much energy?
How much energy do you use?
Nick, how much energy do you think he, let's say it again,
how much energy do you think Tim Duncan had to waste on Dean Garrett?
He don't know.
Do you know Dean Garrett?
I don't think he.
Okay, okay.
Dean Garrett, just think about the name.
You never heard of him.
So imagine what type of offense Dean Garrett had to do for Tim Duncan.
Okay, and then J.R. Reed, do you even know who that is either?
Nope.
Okay.
Brian Gordon.
Brian Gordon and everybody, right?
So David Robinson had the guard.
Shaquille O'Neal.
Was this a rookie team?
No, this is the first championship.
He's the first championship.
He guarded all those people and he still won the championship.
The best player didn't have to guard nobody.
And see, they won a championship because my best player gets to be the best player still.
Are you not realizing what I'm saying?
Tim Duncan was my best.
No, no.
You got drafted in 97.
So the second year is better than David Robertson already.
So why I won five?
He was better than all of them, niggins then, too.
I got a volleyball game.
He was he better than all of them?
No, we have one more thing, can you do?
Who is his match?
You said two topics.
He was LeBron and that we already did.
No, Gil, you can say that about he guarded fucking...
Very quick.
What? He guarded who?
You know who he guarded.
No.
In the finals.
In the finals.
One last thing we need to cover before we call the day.
Playing tournament begins tonight.
Throughout the playoffs, we will be making team picks.
be making team picks using underdogs prediction markets, which you can do as well.
We'll keep a leaderboard of the couch's picks throughout the entire playoffs.
Starts with Rashad's Hornets.
Shai, you did say the Hornets were going to have a better season than Milwaukee Bucks.
Don't think I forgot.
Oh, you didn't forget.
I don't think anybody forgot it.
They did do that.
The Hornets.
Who got the Hornets tonight?
The Heat are traveling to Charlotte for the 9-10 matchup in the East.
Hornets are 5.5.5.
I would like to see him win, but I don't think.
5.5 point favorites.
So five and a half point favorites.
He got Miami?
68% chance to win the game.
Let's go around the couch.
We'll start with you.
Mr. B., who are you taking in Heath Hornets?
I'm taking the Hornets.
Mr. B, taking the Hornets.
Swaggy, who are you taking in Heath Hornet?
Everybody healthy on Miami, right?
Healthy enough.
I got Miami.
I don't see them losing in these type of games.
They don't normally lose.
They don't normally lose.
In these type of atmospheres.
They're a tough.
We got Pat Rowley.
I would like to see the Hornets do something, but I got Miami.
Did they make you play a leisure?
Miami?
We don't.
No.
You're sorry?
I don't know we don't remember.
I know they did that with Jim Butler.
So I'm going to go with Charlotte.
Let's move over here.
Sean.
Can you're taking Charlotte well?
Are you still rolling with your work?
Okay.
Of course.
Good thing.
You can't suicide.
size.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know he wanted to.
He was like, yeah, you know,
confidence coffee.
I know he's sitting over.
What these niggins want to pick Charlotte?
So let's shift over to Adam Silver's Western Conference.
A lot of supporters of your Hornet Squad.
I know.
He's sitting like, these motherfuckers.
They know the game.
If you're smart.
He's like, they're supposed to pick my ear.
He's like, smart, man.
Roll his shots for Dom's, if you're smart.
I ain't lost it.
It's hard to lose on this side.
In the West, the 7-8 matchup goes down in Phoenix,
where the Blazers are set to take on the Suns.
Winner of this game gets the pleasure of playing Wimby
and the Spurs in the next round.
Tonight, the Suns are four and a half point favorite
with a 60% chance to win the game,
while the Blazers are 41% to win on Underdogs,
prediction market.
So, Shai, we will start with you.
We'll go in reverse order on the couch now.
Who were you taking in Blazers?
Blazers.
Blazers.
Any optia in there?
Yeah.
And Blazers?
Suns.
Okay.
Taking the Phoenix Sun.
Gil, over to yourself.
Blazers, sons.
I'm gonna take the Suns, but I'm scared of the Blazers because they have beaten some really good teams this year.
I don't know what's going on over there, but they find a ways to win, but I'm gonna take the Suns.
Swaggy, Levin.
Taking the Suns, okay.
Taking the Suns also.
All right.
A lot of sons, supporters.
Hey, hey, hey.
Who the Roach taking?
Huh?
The blazers
He's taking the blazes
The Roach has been removed from the arena
If the Roach is still alive
