Starting point is 00:03:20 Just told him. The NBA just wanted to make sure it wasn't a sweep. One. Just one game. Get one out of there. It was a beautiful game. Short-lived. Here's what's cracking in the arena today.
Starting point is 00:03:32 As these gentlemen mentioned, Jamal Murray put the nail in the Lakers' coffin with his second game winner to clinch the series. But did LeBron play his last game with the purple and gold? The Celtics dominated the Heat to take a 3-1 lead in the series. But what impact will Porzingis' injury have as they look ahead to the next round? Starting point is 00:04:41 let's start with something a little bit brighter. Kendrick Lamar reignited the beef with Drake with his Like That verse, and Drake responded with not one, but two diss tracks aimed at Kendrick with push-ups and tailor-made freestyle. So this morning, you know, in our time of need, Kendrick finally responded, giving Angeleno something to smile about in these dark times by dropping Euphoria. The more the six-minute track goes at Drake on a variety
Starting point is 00:05:05 of levels and ends with K. telling the Canadian rapper, we don't want to hear you say the N-word no more. So, gentlemen, what do you guys think about Kendrick's response with Euphoria finally clapping back at Drake? You've got unlimited access to music, but time? Now that's limited. Starting point is 00:05:55 isn't so famous without the grainy mustard. When the barbecue's lit, but there's nothing to grill. When the in-laws decide that, actually, they will stay for dinner. Instacart has all your groceries covered this summer so download the app and get delivery in as fast as 60 minutes plus enjoy zero dollar delivery fees on your first three orders service fees exclusions and terms apply instacart groceries that over deliver all those drake fans over there you gotta see how they feel this side of the couch. Because they chose sides.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I told them, pick a side. They picked a side. Y'all picked a side? They picked a side. Everybody picked a side. I love it. Listen to them. Do you see this shit?
Starting point is 00:06:31 They don't want to stand on business. I'm not picking a side. Stand on business. I'm not picking a side. Y'all both said Drake. They both hooping. They both hooping. Y'all both said Drake.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Who said Drake? Both of y'all. I said they both hooping. Both of y'all said Drake. I said they both hooping. Are you going to send on that? Yes. You're going to send on that?
Starting point is 00:06:44 Because Kendrick hadn't dropped yet. Y'all like, well, Drake wouldn't. Who said? Drake, Drake, Drake, Drake. I said y' who both of y'all said I said they both are you gonna send on that? Yes You're gonna see cuz you hadn't dropped it. Yeah, like what Drake would who's the Drake Drake? I'll be y'all from LA. I say yeah. Yeah, what was the first track that drop? No, like you did you made trout think then when Jacob responded was so no one liked when he dropped like that He said pick a side. I said why am I picking a side? I don't pick sides. I like them both then I said it Dan push-ups dropped and you was like You was you was a wasn't a man. I'm saying I like I like both. I like it Who you with now? Is it one one? Is it one one because they so they took off Taylor?
Starting point is 00:07:20 I mean they took off Taylor the freestyle and they'll push ups this still comes so push ups and then we heard it I mean after Remember that they took off the Taylor song because the Tupac Uh-huh situation so that song got deleted so it's just so it's just push up. So it's just one zero. That was one one now Kendrick well Kendrick responded so no Kendrick one first Drake one second, right? So he responded to like that. So that's one. And then Kendrick just dropped, right?
Starting point is 00:07:49 Now you have to wait for Drake. If it was like, if that's around. Okay. I mean. No, because it's not. Because it went first person shooter. Then it went like that. Then it went pushups.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Then it went euphoria. First person shooter wasn't at Kendrick. It was. It wasn't. That was a song saying all of us are together No, it wasn't it was them saying we are the big me and him against you homie. What's up? That's why he said y'all clicking up. Is that really y'all clicking up? Hmm? No, then he say what wasn't the whole line? We're the big three like that, bro. You gotta understand it ain't that and what it was
Starting point is 00:08:23 Y'all two niggas is teaming up against me No, I know that's that's Kendrick's part. I'm talking about Drake's part when they did the song it was We are the big three so he was named all of us. They Cole said that but he's saying that's us together, right? We're together and Kendrick is the one who said it's not a big three said the spider-man meme is me pointing at me and Drake Not k dot you ain't even in part of this three. I don't know. You be creating your own who's first and second. Oh, they created it.
Starting point is 00:08:50 I'm a hip-hop nigga. I know what this shit is. I know exactly what this shit is. K-Dot. Coffins. Buried. Dirt. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Six feet under. Red rum. This is the shit that y'all was texting in the morning at 8 o'clock that had me pissed off. Yes. This morning? Yes, K-D have me pissed off. Yes this morning Yes, yes that one morning this station. Yeah, I'm trying to figure so so he said drinking Cole started it he did like so they do the first shot you just jump into the first person shooter and then He didn't like that. Let me write about some shit
Starting point is 00:09:18 You know, I'm just trying to figure out who who do the first shot right whoever throw the first made a first shots But happened to since no, I mean, I mean I'm talking about now since out who threw the first shot, right? Whoever threw the first shot. I mean, the first shot's been happening since. No, I mean, I'm talking about now. Since, I mean. Like, I didn't know. I didn't know first-person shooter was actually a shot at Kendrick. I thought Kendrick just came and responded with that. If that's the response, then it's 1-0, and then we're waiting for Drake. If not, then it's who won the first one then?
Starting point is 00:09:43 First-person shooter or like that? Obviously like that, because the niggas. I don't know. Cole came out. Then he apologized. Did he not? Like that is crazy. Let me.
Starting point is 00:09:54 I'm fucking with you. Let me. The push-ups came out. I mean, listen. They hooping, man. It's like. That's what I'm saying. They hooping, dog.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Listen, man. It's like. One first quarter, one second quarter. Let's go. Yeah, man. It's like you coming down hitting three in a row. Like, you know what I'm saying? You know, it's like...
Starting point is 00:10:07 You know that feeling? Like, the crowd getting up, it's like that. It's not like that. It is like that. You got to wait. We got to wait and see. Kobe versus Drogic. Oof.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Wow. Damn. Is that truly a competition? I don't want to hear you say nigga no more. He did say... I love it. This is Kobe versus Jordan. They both hooping.
Starting point is 00:10:25 They both hooping. This is Kobe versus Jordan. Jordan is Kobe versus Jordan. They both hooping. They both hooping. This is Kobe versus Jordan. This is Jordan and Drogic. They both hooping, man. I don't want to hear you say nigga no more. Get out of here. This is Kendrick.
Starting point is 00:10:32 This is dead body. Nah, Kendrick did deliver, though. That was hard. Pick him up, man. I got to give it to Kendrick. He did deliver. See, nope. They're saying like that
Starting point is 00:10:40 was the first of this. But this is like when Kobe and Jordan went at it and Jordan, at it and Jordan uh they beat him in uh Washington and Kobe said uh I mean Jordan said you can never wear my shoes he said you can wear the shoes but you can't fit them slap them on the ass and then uh when when Jordan came uh when Jordan came to LA and Kobe gave his ass 55 and that's it right there 55. So BJ is Drake still good to walk around
Starting point is 00:11:06 these LA streets right now? I guess, yeah. Thanks, Mo. He's not from LA, he don't know, he not from LA, man. I mean, I don't know, is the beef like, is it somebody gonna die? No, no. Okay, so you good.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Very light-skinned and beefy. You good, then. Just feelings hurt, emotional. It's just a sport, it's a hip-hop sport, man, so you good. Very light-skinned and big. You good, then. Just feelings hurt, emotional. It's just a sport. It's a hip-hop sport, man. It's good. It's good for hip-hop. Did you listen to the track?
Starting point is 00:11:29 He said, headshots all year. You better be walking around like you Daft Punk, boy. You know what that means? You know what a Daft Punk... You know what that... You know what that is? He want to see somebody die. I'm not talking about death.
Starting point is 00:11:39 I'm talking about he just buried him. Do you know who Daft Punk is? No. They wear helmets and they DJ. Hmm headshots all year Okay, better walk around like that. Oh, yeah, it's LA. No push. What's up, bro? I'm rolling I'm rolling. I love it This is how we are. LA's back. We don't pick sides, bro. We like music. We are in the valley.
Starting point is 00:12:07 We like music, man. LA is back. We don't pick sides. LA is back. No, it's fire. But it's fire, though. I'm rolling. It was a fire. But this is good.
Starting point is 00:12:14 This is how laid back we be, though, in LA. This is good. People from LA, we laid back. He's from the East Coast. He's like, Tupac and Biggie was going. He literally probably picked Biggie's side. Huh? Or Pac's side.
Starting point is 00:12:24 It don't matter. You pick the side, right? You just didn't listen to both of them Like my playlist my planet whoever the beef in that's how it goes that I go back to back Back to forth like I got a playlist usher and Chris Brown. I even know they on beefing, but I got them like that. That's how I play. Hit for hit. Hit for hit. I'm from a culture where you pick a side. You don't play none of that other shit. You don't even go to parties when they play the other shit.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Well, we're not making money with it either, so it don't really matter. You leave the party. I know. But we're not in business with any of them. It's not like we're in business with them. He started hating the Lakers. He don't like LeBron, so we know you picked that. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:13:03 I'm out of here, man. Unfortunately. You go to another thing. I've been a LeBron fan. Yeah, they think I'm cool. You come over here with us? Nah, nigga. Which is weird, right? Because he's a LeBron fan and he's a Laker fan.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Wait, hold on. So you team it up. He don't like the peanut butter and the jelly. Nope. He liked the peanut butter and then he liked the jelly. He was cool where he was at. He teamed them up. I don't like the staff.
Starting point is 00:13:21 He was cool where he was at. He want tuna fish. Don't come over here with that shit. Wait, hold on. So he was East Coast riding with Pac, right? staff. He was at. He want tuna fish. Don't come over here with that shit. Wait a minute. So he was East Coast riding with Pac. Yeah. He goes opposite. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:29 So, cause where's Pac from? It's your stats right, man. Y'all niggas supposed to be on some stats shit. You don't even know what niggas from. He's from Baltimore. He's from Baltimore. Where that's from? Where that's at?
Starting point is 00:13:38 What coast that is? It's the East. All right. So did you like Biggie? No. Where's he from? Where's he from? What do I gotta like Biggie? No, no, I'm just asking. You didn't like him at all, though?
Starting point is 00:13:47 I like Nas. I didn't like Jay. I like Jay. I didn't like Nas. Which one? They both nice? No, I'm just, I mean, we like Biggie, too. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Yeah. Hey, King, I see you over here. Just monitoring the situation. King is trying to figure out what's going on. Hey, motherfucker, back this, bro. You got to wake up. You got to wake up, man. We in here.
Starting point is 00:14:03 It's Tuesday. You know what Tuesday is. So you like Coke, not Pepsi, or Pepsi, not Coke? Coke! Tuesday! He's like stepping up. I'm going to Sprite, man. Sprite, you are Sprite?
Starting point is 00:14:12 Fuck that Coke. We will continue to monitor the situation. Wait for Drake to respond. But now let's get into some basketball. Celtics held the heat to a season-low 84 points in their Game 3 win. And in Game 4 was much of the same as the Celtics clamped up on defense and got a career night from Derek White to get the easy win. So Celtics had a scare in the first half after Kristaps Porzingis
Starting point is 00:14:34 suffered a non-contact injury left the game with right calf tightness. Porzingis appeared to suffer the injury a few plays earlier and was wearing a walking boot after the game. So according to Woj, Porzingis will undergo imaging on Tuesday, but early indications are that he hasn't sustained an Achilles injury. And Derek White dropped a career-high 38 points, including 22 in the first half,
Starting point is 00:14:54 going 15 for 26 from the field, 8 for 15 from three. He don't want to stop. Got rid of the double wide headband, got to work. Oh! Yes. Jason Tatum only did 14 stops. Did he do this? But finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five dimes.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Did make all eight of his free throws. Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 25 points, 17 rebounds, and five dimes. And Tyler Hero had 19. Caleb Martin finished with 18 points. Caleb Martin's back? Okay. Yeah. Ain't heard about him this year.
Starting point is 00:15:22 No relation to Ricky. The Celtics held the Heat to 36 points in the first half, 88 points for the game. They are 18-0 this season when holding opponents under 100 points. Got their sixth straight win in Miami, and now they head back to Boston with a 3-1 lead, looking to close out the series in game five. So, what are your gentlemen thoughts on the Heat-Celtics game four?
Starting point is 00:15:44 I mean, that's what we expected. You know what my team is for I mean what we I mean that's what we know what you know my team is I mean I expected what you think about your former team smacking your current favorite team they went out they went out there guy so it's all coffee no confidence coffee and dehydrated out there too much work out there they get distracted the Boston delivering you know then it's just they do doing what they're supposed to do. Yeah, I mean, we saw this coming, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Yeah, it's not a surprise. Yeah, it's not a surprise. Surprised it took this long that he was able to get a win? Nah, it's a 4-1. I mean, you play in Miami, man, they're going to find a way to get a game. Right? Yeah. They very seldom going to get swept. Get swept.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Very seldom, right? So, but nah, they just, they just who they are, man. Miami, he going to play hard. Boston's just a better team. With or without Brazilians, this shit is still over. Just plug Al Horford in. They ain't going to miss a beat. Just plug him in.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Come on, big fella. Yeah, that's all it is, man. I am kind of disappointed, though. What? Tatum and Jason. Ium and Jason. I mean, Jason and Jalen ain't playing good basketball right now. I know, I know, I know. But just the momentum into the next series.
Starting point is 00:16:55 I like the way Derrick White playing because he's showing he's on a hoop. But I don't know, man. It's kind of scary. We didn't have Prestige last year, right? We didn't have him last year. And they came up short But I don't know, man. It's kind of scary. I mean, but every series is going to be different in the playoffs. We didn't have them last year. And they came up short because they was missing that piece.
Starting point is 00:17:12 So if he gone, it's going to be the same team. Just with Drew. So it's like, all right, what are you going to change? No, Derek White is a lot different than he was last year. Facts. He's confident. He's out the building. He got better. No, he's confident. He's out the building. He got better. That's what I said. He got better. Like, that shit, he was just basically a statue
Starting point is 00:17:29 out there looking like he's attacking, aggressive, playing defense. He had a couple blocks. He had three blocks, I think. He's been a factor this year. All year, too. Yeah, been consistent. Yeah, I like this. We knew it was going to happen., I like this. No, it's... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:47 We knew it was going to happen. Yeah. We're obligated to talk about it. It's basketball. Facts. Facts. Just delaying the inevitable. Facts. Just delaying the inevitable. Facts.
Starting point is 00:17:56 There was a few more series that were just delaying the inevitable, too. Yeah, I know. I know. I know you relish these moments. Yeah, they're probably gonna hold out Porzingis probably until the Eastern Conference finals Cuz I mean even their second round you're gonna play the magic or the Cavs So right now like they can really rest. I mean, not rest, but they can.
Starting point is 00:18:28 They can take it easy. No, they can't rest. No, no. But Porzingis can if he's not right. Yeah. They built enough during the season to build. We all know, man, winning is a learned behavior. And they did a lot of winning during the regular season.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Different lineups, guys playing, not playing. So I think they'll be all right, man. They're going to make it to learn behavior. And they did a lot of winning during the regular season. Different lineups, guys playing, not playing. So I think they'll be all right, man. They're going to make it to the year. No problem. The Cavs are magic in the second round. No, no, no. Experience.
Starting point is 00:18:55 I see that in five again. I see that in five or four. It depends on how much they get the magic. I think they'll sweep the magic. Because they're definitely going seven. That serious?
Starting point is 00:19:07 Yeah, Cavs and Orlando, that shit they definitely going seven that move them that serious yeah yeah calves in Orlando that shit definitely seven I should have dead I barely watched that yeah you be sad that's how I can read a watch I haven't watched one but I look at the score like you be sitting like this yeah well yeah is the game so long I know myself no but seriously it's always like that no way else you always Game show long? Who's the halftime performer so fast? No, no, no. Seriously, though. No, but seriously, it's always like that in the playoffs. We always have that one series where it's like, oh, man. That's why they just get the little box on TNT.
Starting point is 00:19:32 I bet you with this boy. That's why they was on NBA. That part. You just the little box. Just the little box. They get the NCAA tournament corner. The thicker. Yeah, they get that.
Starting point is 00:19:42 You be looking for targets. Target was at the game. Somebody. Man. Yeah, who over there?. You be looking for targets. Tiger Woods at the game? Somebody. Man. Who up? Yeah, who over there? Dizzy? What celebrity is over there?
Starting point is 00:19:50 Is that Mickey Mouse? Goddamn. This is crazy. Man. We're back to each other. That's both thugs in harmony. That's the half. You pull some shit.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Give it up, give it up, give it up, give it up, give it up, give it up. Goddamn. They got the big three performances. The big three performances. Come on, Q. You can do better than that. I got this slick Rick.. The big three performances. Come on, Q. You can do better than that. Oh, I got this slick Rick. You like, slick Rick.
Starting point is 00:20:10 We don't even remember that song. Don't be a slick Rick now. No, I'm just saying. But just, it be some old. You be like, oh, okay. That's good. Don't do it to Rick, though. Don't do it to Rick, though.
Starting point is 00:20:20 He got gray hair. He's like, go sit down. What's wrong with gray hair, nigga? Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Bring back 95 hits. You be like, whoa. I can't wait for my my gray hair Cooling the game. Let's go, y'all. Everybody in there like, who?
Starting point is 00:20:50 Cool in the game. To the Seven, Magic and Cavs fans in the chat apologize for their slander, but y'all know damn well. That shit going Seven. Magic and Cavs. Long games. That's crazy. Yeah. Let's talk about another moment.
Starting point is 00:21:01 It's going to take a while. He's Celtics game four. It's during the fourth quarter with the Celtics up by 13. Bam Adebayo was hit with a flagrant one after a questionable play on Tatum. We got the video for you to see. So after the dead ball, Tatum tried to get a jumper up. Bam got in his space. Tatum appeared to roll his ankle after landing on Bam's foot.
Starting point is 00:21:19 You got a flagrant for that? But remained in the game. Bam Adebayo was hit with a flagrant foul. I think the play stopped. Oh, that's a of bar was here with the flag or foul. I think was my stop Oh, that's right Yeah, and the lady stopped to place. Yeah, they stopped. Yeah. Yeah, so they called a foul right? No I think on the Was a dead ball team was just trying to get me and he's trying to stop it
Starting point is 00:21:39 Okay, we get that but I'm saying was BAM contestant Tatum's dead ball three a dirty play or playoff basketball? No playoff. We're not dirty Basketball did he deserve a flag or one? No, no, no, but I mean, but that's the rule That's the rule rule is but no landing space flag or one but no Oh After day ball any still yeah anytime they had to go look at it because he turned his ankle. Oh They had to say something. Yeah, you know, he came... How do y'all feel about that landing zone rule?
Starting point is 00:22:08 I like it. Yeah, shoot. That shit used to be wild back in the day. Shaq and Bruce Boyd. Deontay Jones' ass. Oh my, like... Do that shit all the fucking time. Bruce Boyd, Roger Bell, Shane Battier ass, all them niggas.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Fucking doing that shit, man. I hate that shit. Them Lil' Feet, Shaq's, his shoes. Yeah. Can't miss it. Yeah. So when he does this and put his leg and foot there, you coming down on the mount. Mad Dog, Martin Madison used to do that shit too.
Starting point is 00:22:43 Big ass feet in the way. Goofy as fuck. Do goofy shit. Oh, man. So the chat greets with Josh. Playoff basketball, the game is the game. You want to get extra shots up after a dead ball? Be prepared for what happens.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Nah, nah. Bam! Be prepared. No shoot for you. No shoot. Boop! Okay, well, let's keep this thing moving. Now the moment that some on this couch have been hating for. Lakers were looking to extend the series, facing a 3-1 deficit, but ending their 11-game
Starting point is 00:23:18 losing streak to the Nuggets in game four. But Joker MPJ Jamal Murray and the Nuggets decided to give them a one-way ticket to Chilling His Island to crush their basketball souls yet again. Lakers looked solid in the first half, led by as much as nine in the third quarter, but the Nuggets took... Why y'all laughing, man? This shit is not funny. This is... Okay?
Starting point is 00:23:37 Be respectful. Just basketball. That's why y'all didn't get a plate. Oh, he's just... Okay, that's why y'all did not get a funeral plate. It's okay. We got food. Hey, yo, I really want that plate. We got food. Hey, hey, I really a funeral plate. It's okay. We got food. Hey, I really want
Starting point is 00:23:49 What today today is which shot today's today Tuesday what we do on Tuesday Taco Tuesday! We don't get no tacos! We don't get no tacos! It's just me and you, K. Oh, yo. You fuck with Denver, and I fuck with Denver, and it's Taco Tuesday! It's Taco Tuesday!
Starting point is 00:24:22 It is Taco Tuesday. You get diarrhea. I'm hungry. I'm hungry today. Continue, Joe. Continue. Can I proceed? Chalupa. Is this just a chalupa?
Starting point is 00:24:38 Did you get cayenne and chalupa too? That's a good man right there. I thought he'd eat you with the regular. You know what I'm saying? he hit you with the record. I knew anybody was going to eat, you know. You know what I'm saying? He got food at the crib. He got real food at the crib. He got real food.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Brought their own food to the funeral. But I sure appreciate the gesture, though. You know, I just figured you thought you were going to want it. You know what I'm talking about? I thought you had been peeing a few more times. You never know. Came over with the souped-up taco, the chalupa. Shout out to Taco Bell. Like I said, the Lakers looked solid in the first half,
Starting point is 00:25:03 led by as much as nine in the third quarter. But the Nuggets took a two-point lead into the fourth quarter. So Jamal Murray was questionable before the game with a calf injury, but came through with his best performance of the series, finishing with 32 points and seven assists, going 13 for 28 from the field, five for 10 from three. Joker was Joker as usual, 25 points, 20 rebounds, and nine assists, but he did have an uncharacteristic 7 turnovers
Starting point is 00:25:25 as well. And Michael Porter Jr. had another big game with 26 points, going 8 for 12 from the field, 5 for 7 from 3. LeBron led the Lakers with a near triple-double, dropping 30 points, 9 rebounds, 11 dimes, and 4 steals. AD wasn't the same after suffering a shoulder injury early in the third quarter, which Kenyon will talk about shortly. But stayed in the game and finished with 17 points, 15 rebounds,
Starting point is 00:25:48 four assists, and two blocks. But as all you at home have watched, you know, Lakers, couldn't get it done when it mattered. LeBron did look sensational year 21. But Jamal Murray put on for Canada. Yep. Yeah, that was the difference in the game. That was the game right there.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Murray hit the three to put the Nuggets up two. LeBron hit a clutch, two free throws to tie the game. But we've seen this story before. Seen it all before. Game on the line. Jamal Murray versus Austin Reeves. They tried to send Rui into the fire. He said, no, thank you.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Torrio Prince said, Rui, get your ass over there. You know what's about to happen. Rui said, I'm good. Jamal Murray hit his second game winner in the series. Lakers, no timeouts because they had challenged a play earlier. BS rule. They won the challenge but lost the timeout. It was their second challenge. So you know, okay? You know. So, you know,
Starting point is 00:26:53 we'll start on this side of the couch. Our Lakers contingent. You got any nice words you'd like to say about the Lakers? But what are your thoughts on this Lakers-Nuggets game five? I mean, the whole series, it came down to the last five minutes, came down to the fourth quarter. And going through stats, Joker and Murray dominated the fourth quarter. Those two players, right?
Starting point is 00:27:24 LeBron and AD, they had double digits in shots combined once that was in game two um game one lebron took two 80 took seven nine one six three eight one five one i mean 80 took one shot in three of the five games in the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter. Amen. Joker and Murray, I mean, game one, they took 17 of their shots in the fourth. Combined. 13, 7, 10, and then last night they took 15 shots. 15 of their shots came in the fourth.
Starting point is 00:28:02 That's right there. Your best players should take the most shots when the game is on the line. And that's the game. Like, the last, even the last four minutes, the last four minutes, Austin Reeves, I mean, he was playing well, you know, but AD didn't take one shot. LeBron took, what, three free free throws for free throws. That's it Your best players are not taking over the game
Starting point is 00:28:30 Okay, you got the layup wrong got the layup that he thought he got fouled on and they say the two free throws in the layup, he was being aggressive but But still though like I said other day he'd been falling into this this new NBA way of playing Mm-hmm when the game on the line. Mm-hmm and no that ain't what your team needs Like I said the other day, he's been falling into this new NBA way of playing. When the game on the line. And no, that ain't what your team need, and that ain't what the masses think that you should be doing. Not when you, that guy, just... Go ahead, B.
Starting point is 00:28:58 No, I mean, the Lakers played hard. I mean, you know, what more can you ask for? I mean, at least they didn't, you know, gentlemen sweep. But, I mean, we knew it was coming. Did we, Brandon, or do you feel like your negative energy swayed the series? No, we knew. I mean, we saw it. They was on, what, a seven-game losing streak or whatever before that? An 11-game, then they snapped that.
Starting point is 00:29:21 Yeah, so... With a key win. But, you know, D-Lo. A powerful win. D-Lo didn't show up like he was supposed to. Like you said, like you wanted him to. You got the same results out of him. But I'm not going to put everything on Darham, though.
Starting point is 00:29:35 Like, Darham, this is third year, second year coaching? Second year. Second year he went to the Western Conference finals and then, you know. He was on the staff. Lost the year to the first round. I mean, I can't. I can't. I mean, I don't know. I mean, two years for a first-year head coach,
Starting point is 00:29:50 I can't blame everything on him. The only reason I say, like, where's the self-awareness? That's the problem. You know, what King is saying is, there's this new style of basketball. That he didn't new style of basketball he didn't come from that he didn't come from and obviously didn't bring playing that way fact right Denver's not playing that way they're playing old-school basketball where we know exactly the last the last four minutes of this game only two
Starting point is 00:30:21 people shot the ball the last four ten two people two people shot the ball. The last full 10, two people on Denver shot the ball. Yogesh Murray, that's it. Everybody else was fucking decoys. That's basketball. You know what I mean? This is not rainbow, whoever touch it and open, you get the shoot. That's not, there's a reason you keep losing the game in the last four or five minutes.
Starting point is 00:30:48 Because the niggas who's going to be the Hall of Famers on Denver are taking the ball. Yep. On Lakers, everybody but the Hall of Famers is taking shots. Yeah, it's on Darvin to, I put, because LeBron has been around so long, I put him and Darvin in the same boat, right? It's on both of them, right? Yep. That, at the end of the game, every game, him not shooting the ball, Anthony Davis not
Starting point is 00:31:24 touching the ball, it's on LeBron because he's on the floor. When the minutes that LeBron is not on the floor, if he's not on the floor in the fourth quarter, I put that on Darvin, right? For him not calling the play. Listen, whatever the play is, like I said the other day, he don't have to shoot it every single time. It has to go through. But it has to go through him.
Starting point is 00:31:44 Go make a play, be aggressive, and whatever happens, it happens. But that has to be what it is because he's your first or second best player, however you want to look at it right now because LeBron's age, right? On any given night, he's supposed to be that 17 and 15 and the closeout game ain't good enough.
Starting point is 00:32:04 That shit, that's in the third enough. That's in the third quarter. That's in the third quarter. That's not good enough. Right? Okay, the rebounding is there. Okay, cool. But in the closeout game, though, not when you won A or won B any given night. That's unacceptable.
Starting point is 00:32:20 If you're having a bad shoot night, we get it. But shoot it. Be aggressive. We can we get it. Right. But shoot that bitch. But shoot it. Be aggressive. We can live with it. Guys at hoop, everybody can live with it. Damn, man, the Davids doesn't have it going tonight. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:30 But he was aggressive as hell, man. He tried. He went down shooting. He literally went down without shooting. For facts. And let's talk about that. Like, let's be honest, man. You have some thoughts on the shoulder injury, 10-53 in the third quarter?
Starting point is 00:32:44 Just, we played man mm-hmm I've been hit harder than that you've been hit hard and we all have been hit harder than that my wife ain't never played one NBA minute and she thought like what the heck like really he got to go to the back. Why do go get surgery or something? When your season is on the line for you to react that way and roll over on your stomach doll, it's crazy It's crazy. That's character challenging dog. That's crazy Like that is that's glaring man If it ain't for them dudes in that locker room who you supposed to be at war with, if that ain't glaring to them and LeBron, like that image should last in they head, dog.
Starting point is 00:33:35 It's lasting in the opponents. We at war. I look at it. Listen, Michael Porter built like Cameron. Mm-hmm. Thin. We're like, he ain built like Cameron. Thin. We're like, he ain't the strongest.
Starting point is 00:33:51 If Aaron Gordon hit him, I'd be like, all right, maybe that's... Nicola hit him. DeAndre Jordan. Off they bench the coaching staff, Stephen Graham. I don't... But I don't look at Michael Porter as a physical specimen. Hell of a basketball player. From what I can tell, he's shying away from all contact. At all given, at any given time.
Starting point is 00:34:14 And for this dude to lay down like that, man. Barely got touched. And when you're seizing on the line. Bruh. What you put in the group chat, though? He's setting it up. He's setting it up. He's setting it up.
Starting point is 00:34:26 That's the excuse. To roll over and react that way, it just... My first thought is, oh, he's setting it up. As soon as he did, I texted y'all like, oh, he's setting his exit up. He's setting it up. He's setting that shit up. Look at this nigga. It was pathetic to see as a Hooper, a guy who we ought to have been in the game
Starting point is 00:34:46 Like we all didn't been in clothes. I got it been to close our game dog like Balls to the wall. Mm-hmm barely walk whatever they didn't know you we not laying down we can fix it in the sun We'll fix it tomorrow. I'm Mary played though. Think about my Murray Murray play cuz he's like yo somebody was emotional I say no, we'll lean up the game worked out for five minutes before the game with the rap on his joint They talk about it was an emotional conversation. No, they was in the back arguing. Yes That's that's a nice way to say that we was in the back arguing about him wanting to play. I'm playing no You're not I'm fucking playing Get cranky on the phone
Starting point is 00:35:28 Whoever on the phone and bring Calvin Booth in here back bring Calvin, okay Okay, like Gil talked about the old school versus the new school and the adaption to that, right? I don't see it as old school, new school as the separation. I see it as there's a right way to play the fucking game and there's the wrong way to play the fucking game. And the new school way, no matter how we evolve to it, the new school way is never going to be the right way because the right way is always going to work. Like you said, the reason why AD and LeBron ain't touching the ball in the fourth quarter,
Starting point is 00:36:12 in the last four minutes, because they playing the wrong fucking basketball. This is not the game we play. This is not the game. He said it in the end of his statement. It's not the game. What's Bron and AD's stats the last five minutes of games? Last five minutes?
Starting point is 00:36:29 In his series? No, no, just, I mean. No, no, no, this is the only thing that matters right now. Okay. In his series. The only thing that matters. In his series, I know AD's averaging, he was averaging three points and 3.2 in the last, in the fourth quarter. Okay. 3.2 in the last in the fourth quarter, okay, and that's only because he had about what two four six eight nine ten points
Starting point is 00:36:48 in one game, yeah You know for the most part they're not showing up. Okay, so that's on them then No, it's not but Denver played the right way, right? So if Denver played the right way and they're only two best players to touch the ball in the fourth That means all our fourth quarter points in the last five minutes is coming through our best players all the time, every game. There's no conversation right? Just when they get down to it right? If guys don't, are naive, it's on Darwin right? Yep Yep watching film Game one Anthony Davis. Oh no shot one shot, right? Yep in game one. He got one shot and oh no game one He has seven in the
Starting point is 00:37:33 12th the game it's all seven in the fourth quarter. He has seven in the fourth quarter for game You got one shot right 19 minutes. See the next day in film Should have been addressed right Because the very next game here at 3 3. Yep, right so then one and one and one so it wasn't addressed So the conversation should have been it should there's a pecking order in here Do y'all do you know that there's a pecking order in this locker room? Roll rolls is what people don't know the pecking order and rolls are the same thing back Especially in a playoff series doing a regular season Cuz you don't get hot one game. You're gonna cool the later roll
Starting point is 00:38:26 But when this get down to it If you don't know let me go get how this payroll go back So that's why I don't understand why they're not getting the ball then cuz the it ain't been a the point is be it's not Being addressed. So what's LeBron in there doing? I mean, so, I mean. They're not addressing the elephant in the room. Okay, so it can't just be on Darvin Hill. Steve is thinking, listen, when the ball comes to him in the fourth quarter,
Starting point is 00:38:54 he don't know that it's not his time. Facts. When D-Lo get in the fourth quarter, instead of it being a catching shoot, he think it's still my time. When Prince get it in the fourth quarter, he think it's still my time. Then when he would have been in the position to miss two free throws if the shit had been addressed.
Starting point is 00:39:11 It's equal opportunity. It's equal opportunity and it should not be. Not when our shit is on the line. If one of them dudes is out, somebody else step up. But if both of them dudes is playing, there's a fucking pecking order in here. And them dudes don't adhere to it. Austin Reeves hit that big three, right?
Starting point is 00:39:28 With like 130. Big three. But if you look at that shot, that's a tough shot. He missed that shot. It's a terrible, it's like, how is Austin Reeves taking that shot? That shot and then that, how bad he's been shooting from behind. He gotta
Starting point is 00:39:43 make it. He gotta make it. Like D-Lo drive to the basket, that's aggressive shooting from behind. Gotta make it He's gonna make it like and it's like D. Lo drive to the bass That's aggressive play cool the ball come up they ran us came out of time and they swung it to me right aggressive to the rim Yeah, I can deal with that But now when they've been not that awesome even shot you come down boom boom and you're going and you pull that bitch from three I'm like we all in the moment like ooh and then even as then even as teammates, and this is why I say, you know, Denver understands their roles. Michael Porter Jr. is probably the wildest shooter. Yes.
Starting point is 00:40:14 He's the wild card. He's the wild card. Right? He's the wild card. Not the last four minutes. Not the last four minutes he's not a wild card. He understands I got my shit off. All right, now I'm gonna wait
Starting point is 00:40:27 For them to make the plays and when I get it and I'm wide open on it if it's questionable He don't shoot those questionable shot. I don't he really don't he do not shoot questionable shots in the last four minutes That ball is going to two people one two if we if you wide open Got it. Okay, shoot that. If not, give it back. We're going to keep running. They understand that. And that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:40:51 There's a different type of talk in a locker room. There's a different type of respect because the wildest dude on the court has control when it counts. It seems like Austin takes one shot in the first, two shots in the second, one in the third, five, six shots in the fourth. Hold on, dog. Wait a minute, Lemon Daddy. This is not the time when you decide you want to make lemonade, bro.
Starting point is 00:41:18 Do that shit in the first three quarters. Papa DeLamont. Even that last play. Can you go to that last play. Can you go to that last play? Can we go to that last play? We are queuing it up, Gil. Yeah. We are queuing it up.
Starting point is 00:41:33 I don't know why you want to watch it again, but this is your show. You know we got our... Right there. Right here. Oh, oh, oh. Go, go, go. Right here. Okay, so print okay go now Prince You you know what you knew if you was a basketball player, you know, what the hell is about that happen
Starting point is 00:41:56 Right, you know, it's a pig. You're what they clearing out the side. So Joker can pop Obviously right there gonna they're gonna probe so that means Andy Davis can't be at the nail Right when Joe when Murray is about to come up this pick and roll because you'll get just pop it right Therefore keep going Rui should already say you got one do people playing with his waves in the corner. So, you know, he not even. Michael Porter. Michael Porter. Michael Porter. I'll be sure, Ryker. I'll be sure. So therefore, Prince.
Starting point is 00:42:29 Stay. So Prince can stay, which if Prince stays, Anthony Davis can be at the nail, right? If Prince decides to go, Rui or Prince supposed to be the nail guy to stop the pick and roll because Because if he stops the pick and roll, there's no joker. Pop, because Anthony Davis can stay. The fact that no one is helping. What are these other three going to do in the corner? So what are you saying? You're saying right now that you would keep Prince at the middle, at the 2-9.
Starting point is 00:42:58 You keep him on that block? He can stay at the 2-9. There's 12 seconds. You have 12 seconds. So you're keeping Rui in the corner or you're telling Rui to come up? Rui can stay right there for right now. So Brian is connected to Gordon in the dunker. Yep.
Starting point is 00:43:11 Because he don't know what he's going to do in the dunker. So you're saying they're going to pick and pop that, right? Yes, they're picking and popping. So what is AD supposed to do on this pick and pop? Let him pop. Let him pop. So are you showing it to make him throw the pop? I am.
Starting point is 00:43:24 So you're showing pop it and then you're telling Prince to take it? Take the pop. Take the pop. All right. I like that. I like that. Right? But just look at their spacing with that.
Starting point is 00:43:34 Right now, with the 12 seconds, if they do that now, that means Prince got to stay and show, right? Which is Michael Porter's going to come up, and then you got KCP on the swing swing and nobody in the corner. But look at the, that's what I'm now even if you but it's still 12 seconds I'm saying What is it? Before the action you damn near blitz it right now because Murray smart enough as nice too much time on the clock There's no action to even make this thing a thing I'm with you because you got prints in on the box if you was to stay there. They were recognizing. Yeah, they're like, okay cool
Starting point is 00:44:06 So now what has to happen? This is why this how I will guard it some else Prince comes over bronze in the dunker So Brian if he could take the pop cool cool, but I'll say do what they was gonna do initially, which is switch it 12 seconds if I'm gonna take the ball out of Murray's hand I'm gonna put motherfucker ad back in the position. He was in before Oh garden garden and one-on-one at the top, right? But then Rui if this is what happens play it a little bit more. He didn't really screen him. No did he know? MPJ comes up right Rui is supposed to automatically go to the nail. Yeah Rui So no see Prince could have doesn't say to me the Prince could have just slid up to the nail I'm told ruins they were yeah, but you see what you see what happens here
Starting point is 00:44:47 Keep going keep going like Prince could have could have slid up who they just wished it. So what it is Yeah, Prince stay down KCP came up. They just switched So now so now now Rui supposed to be a nail stop it. So somebody got to be a Rui's late I'm gonna make the latest fuck. Yeah, I'm gonna throw the ball Casey. Yeah, 100% He's latest fuck I'm gonna be all the way all the way over there Could they two best players on the side of the scene? I got Prince playing two-on-one on the backside. He can play the two-on-one It's better. Yeah, that's the clutter. Yeah, everybody's just right there So it's really really it fucked up the whole rotation of this
Starting point is 00:45:19 It'll even though ad shouldn't be dropped back that far Because if you pass Joker the ball at the three-point line LeBron can still get time to come over Yeah, cuz you didn't want to put it But that's what if you have if the nail guy is there everyone still attached to absolute So that means you'll kid you're still there LeBron is still where he's at and then Prince or rue is playing to over and right here Yeah, that is parents can drop on the lob pass that Joker likes to throw.
Starting point is 00:45:46 When LeBron comes over on that pick and pop, he likes to throw that lob to Aaron Gordon. Prince is still in the area where he can drop down. But that's what I'm saying. If you have your nail guy, that means AD don't have to be the nail guy. So he just gets to stay. And the ball is being stopped by that nail guy. That's where the nail guy comes in. He has to throw it. He has to throw the KCP I will take a tough in case if he's shooting that though
Starting point is 00:46:16 The last four minutes he ain't shot the ball you know, but it's going up though I'm just saying it's going to two players on this side of the site and those two If I'm garden, I'm all the way over there. Yeah all the way Yeah, and I'm not dropping back if I'm ad on that I'm pushing the ball over I'm Austin Reeves at the level of the gotta be and I can tell you this When the score was 96 94 Murray done scored all the points. Yes You gotta be at the nail. right? What are we talking about? He go he's gonna be reluctant to pass it. That's what she was talking about
Starting point is 00:46:51 He scored 10 points when you talk about the elephant in the room You're saying Darvin is not addressing where the fuck we need to be on this play, but these two got to be smart Y'all are me for the player like push the shit Okay, yeah Darvin like you know, you might make adjustments like but and this is these players ain't got whiplash and darvin is in the perk Darvin's in the perfect set. That's what's in this Stop that. Hey, but back to your point that you made the other day. It's always that I don't leave my to leave my man. Yes. It's always that. It's that. It's always that. I don't want to leave my man.
Starting point is 00:47:26 He ain't scoring. Having it the other way, right? No, no, no. The offense and the defense. He has it right. That's what I'm saying. The Lakers have it right here because Darvin Hamm can be in his mouth and get your ass over it because they can look right at him.
Starting point is 00:47:38 So they actually have it to where it's going. But go back. You'll see Rui. I think they just... Yeah, if he all... Right here. Right here. Look at this. Rui is fucking in... He don't know what the fuck to do.
Starting point is 00:47:54 You can see it. Pause it. Pause it. Pause it. Pause it. You see Tony? Okay, that's fine. But make the adjustment then. Go forward a little bit. You know. You go. Look at Rui. He's looking around. I guarantee he couldn't hear him if he said anything for one.
Starting point is 00:48:09 It's loud as shit in there. But, you know, it's like at the moment, nigga, push or you go. Something like. But this is an automatic recognition as a baller, though. As a baller. You automatically know I'm at the nail because I'm the next guy. That's what I'm saying. Self-awareness.
Starting point is 00:48:22 We know one person who can't leave right now with this shit. We know two. Anthony Davis and LeBron. Because if it ain't LeBron sitting on Gordon, he going to power through the other two.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Yes. Right? So that nail, you need someone on the nail. That's where he's coming. Yeah. But that's the whole reason they call it a nail.
Starting point is 00:48:43 Even how Anthony Davis playing the defense. Anthony Davis got to be up, man. Even Anthony Davis playing the defense. He a deal. How empty Davis got to be up man Even Anthony Davis play up. He got to be he got to be he could have still passed it to Jokic Yes, he could have fake jump let Anthony Davis jump pass it right to your pitch. Let me ask you a banky Do we do we turn this down? No? Huh? Do we turn it down? No because that pop look how far he's that's where if Ruiz on the nail do we well? I mean, I no not for rotation
Starting point is 00:49:06 We're 12 seconds left 12 seconds left. We turn it down. He got a problem. He didn't go to seven I know that's what I'm saying. If we're turning it down. He's starting to go now. No. Yeah, that's that it's five on the game So look so if Reeves turns it down right here ad drops and we got Rui all the way over for that road guy, they don't have enough time to even swing it to KCP for that shot. But it still all depends. Either one works. Rui has to be up. Either one of them.
Starting point is 00:49:37 Either one of them. Either strategy that we're talking about, Anthony Davis has to be higher to make Jamal Murray not just be able to turn the corner like he did right here. And the fact that none of that's what I'm saying. Y'all didn't affect anything. Right. Listen, this is a warm-up shot. Bro, that's not even supposed to happen.
Starting point is 00:49:56 Warm-up shot on a guy who's done made the last. Yeah. He's done made the last hit. He's hot as fish right now. That basket big as hell. We ain't talking about. That basket big as hell. We ain't talking about old school basketball defense right here. We're talking about fundamental defense. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:50:11 That ain't got nothing to do with him. Nothing to do with him. That ain't got to do with y'all. But they'll say we don't practice this or he ain't harping on this. It's like, bro, you supposed to know this. You're an NBA player. You're an NBA player. You're an NBA player.
Starting point is 00:50:22 It's equal responsibility for the Lakers being home right now. It's equal responsibility. Right? It ain't just on Darvin. It just ain't on the players. It's a collective thing, not on the same page, and things not being addressed. Guys not making plays.
Starting point is 00:50:38 Guys not where they're supposed to be defensively. It's collective. Yeah. But that's the difference between the champion and, I mean, we can say it all we want. There's a reason they've been seventh seed
Starting point is 00:50:54 all year. Yeah. There's a reason they've been struggling all year. No matter who you have on your team, right? You got two Hall of Famers.
Starting point is 00:51:03 If nobody knows the pecking order, then this is what's going to happen. You're going to be winning the whole game and losing at the end because if there's no pecking order, the last four minutes is your star player. You know what I mean? Jordan,
Starting point is 00:51:18 Steve Kerr, they're not coming down just chucking shots up while Jordan's getting ready to get in this play. When he's sitting here doing like this and over here taking shots like what? But doesn't that fall on who you bring on your team? Doesn't that fall on the GM who you bring in that knows how to fucking play basketball?
Starting point is 00:51:33 This is a savvy guy. He's an IQ guy. I know he gonna be in the right place. I know he knows to pump fake that shit, bring it out, let's run it through AD. Like you said, LeBron been around the league too long not to know it's supposed to go through us. It ain't no motherfucking Darvin.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Nigga, I'm out here. I'm the coach. When we playing, I'm the coach. Move, move, move. No, Darvin, we not running that. Darvin, we not running that. We gonna run this. Exactly, because there was no show everywhere else. But there are facts. So everybody had to get in line everywhere else. Why did they not get in line now? Based on reports after the game,
Starting point is 00:52:05 Darvin had lost the locker room back at that Lakers-Clippers game we were at where they overcame that 20-point lead and got the dub. Players basically said they were coaching themselves out there. Yeah, he's, I mean, his coach is time management, right? Out-of-bounds plays, out-of-time-out plays, side-out-of- bounds plays, and your subs. That's really the coaches. That's
Starting point is 00:52:29 making sure everyone on the team is playing at the highest that they can play at. You start messing with a person's minutes and doing this and doing that. That's your responsibility to get his mind back right. Because when he comes in the game,
Starting point is 00:52:45 if he ain't ready to play, we gonna both look at, hey, get him the fuck out of here, right? When he steps on the court, he's supposed to be mentally ready to play this game. And if you messing with him mentally, don't put him in the game because we judging him on how he's playing.
Starting point is 00:52:58 But before we continue, let's talk about the elephant in the room. A minute, 10 seconds on the clock, you give up an offensive rebound. To me, that's equivalent of missing an open shot with 10 seconds left or missing a free throw to tie the game. That's a big play, and we can't get that up because you are you.
Starting point is 00:53:16 And if you want credit from us to say you're the greatest of all time and close the moment, close the game, to bring us back, because look, I'll say this, the momentum to take that game, if they take that game in Denver, I'll give them a chance to tie it up 3-3. I say, look, they get that. Murray might not be healthy for the next game,
Starting point is 00:53:33 and they might take the third game, and they might tie it up and give Bron a chance in seven games to take this shit all the way to the house. But you give up that fucking rebound, bro, that's different. Let's be real. I'm a LeBron Lakers fan. They were put in a position to win the whole game. The Nuggets were playing terrible in the first half. They didn't capitalize on it.
Starting point is 00:53:50 They shot 27 free throws in the game, went 18 for 27. Reeves missed a two on that three-pointer in the third. LeBron missed a joint. Spencer Dinwiddie missed two. And another thing, they did everything they can to get you out of that goddamn game. How did Nikola Jokic don't shoot no free throws? Zero free throws for the game. Zero free throws for the game.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Him. Out of everybody. Out of everybody. As much as he touched the ball around the basket, as much as he involved, he shot not one. He didn't get fouled. That's his phrase. He didn't get fouled one time. Not one.
Starting point is 00:54:18 Him. Come on, man. He got a LeBron whistle. All them putbacks ain't one guy. Some of those putbacks you got to blend. Anthony got to think about how he plays defense sometimes.
Starting point is 00:54:28 He puts himself out of position when he's trying to block shots. Yes he does. He did it twice. Right? And that's how
Starting point is 00:54:35 that's how Jokic gets rebounds and same thing with Gordon. Gordon's big too. He's big too and he's just alright you're trying to box
Starting point is 00:54:44 alright. That's what made him a good defender. He never took himself out of position. But see this is the thing. How many years of college did he go? One. Right? Learn that.
Starting point is 00:54:56 My freshman year, guess what my dumb ass is out there doing? Going to get that shit. Everything. My man tiptoeing that blue hooduzz losing his shit in there. Right? Next year, not so much. Not so much, uh-huh. Junior year. Barely.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Senior year, not at all. Go get that shit. Right? Go take that shit out the air. So by the time I got to the league, I knew already, no, I can't go get that one. But it's... Jump straight up, and you get back in play.
Starting point is 00:55:23 He's jumping, moving out., he's trying to block shots You know, he can't get If you ain't never blocked shots, let me tell you this We know the ones that we ain't got a chance to hear me getting Look good on film for the TV folks at home Call fake hustle. Mmm So you so it's a conscious thing man at times
Starting point is 00:55:51 We picking up full court I'm not playing on goddamn defense off But it looked like it See you there you see I'm there? I'm like, floor, ha! I'm there, folks. I'm there. Ha! I'm there.
Starting point is 00:56:07 I'm there. I'm there. They're going to score an H straight on you. Yeah, yeah. Because you tired. Damn near about to get faking. Over here faking so much, damn near dizzy. You're like, ha, ha, ha.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Score an H straight on you. Man, man. They're going to be busting my ass over here with this big ass. Breathe me on. I call it the Jason Terry D. Oh. Picking up, ha, ha. Yeah. Like, oh, oh, this what you doing? No, no, no, no. Bust my ass over this big ass Jason charity I'm not trying to steal a ball from you. I'm just out here. They told me to pick up food One, two, three, cross. One, two, three, cross. Let's earn them.
Starting point is 00:56:47 Let's earn them. That's sick. After the game, LeBron was asked about his future with the Lakers and offered this response. Tonight, was there any thought at all that you would dispute in your last game with the Lakers? I'm not going to answer that. Appreciate it. He said, I'm not going to answer that. Appreciate it. He said, I'm not going to answer that.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Appreciate it. So LeBron's tenure with the Lakers has been filled with highs and lows. Lakers missed the playoffs in 2019, won the hardest championship in NBA history in 2020. LeBron died of Steph's eye to win the Western play-in chip before losing to the Suns in 2021. AD was hurt in games four and five, tried to come back in game six, but re-aggravated the hamstring. They missed the playoffs
Starting point is 00:57:28 in 2022, won the play-in chip again and smacked the Grizzlies and Warriors before losing to the Nuggets in the minimum games required in the Western Conference Finals in 2023 and won the first ever in-season tournament, another play-in chip, and then proceeded to get smacked again by the Nuggets this season.
Starting point is 00:57:44 If this was... Okay? Mm-hmm. Wake up. Wake him up. Wake him up. Can we work together as a girls arena crew? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Can we get a taco? Like, damn. Damn. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a medicine. Cheese all over. You want a taco? What is that?
Starting point is 00:58:02 A taco? Or is that a regular taco? It's a regular soft taco. You're doing damn well. There's goddamn food in there. Soft-shell taco, mouthfuls. Y'all do not deserve a funeral plate. Sure.
Starting point is 00:58:10 He got tacos. He got a funeral plate. What's wrong with y'all? I ain't gonna front. That funeral plate look like it's from a... Look at this leg, though. Look at that. Where they get that drumstick from?
Starting point is 00:58:18 He got that from the grocery store. The grocery store food. That thing hydrated. You with the Ralph? Nah, that's home-ta- You're dirty, though. I'm about to go to the bathroom. I'm about to go to the bathroom. I'm about to go to the bathroom. I'm about to go to the bathroom. This leg though, look at that, where they get that drumstick from? You know, he got that from the grocery store. The grocery store food.
Starting point is 00:58:26 That's the grocery store food. You want the Ralphs? Nah, that's home- Yeah. I'm about to say, that is like Ralphs. That looks like Ralph's chicken, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That Ralph's chicken fire.
Starting point is 00:58:35 Thank you, Ms. Eloise. Thank you, Ms. Eloise, for making this place. Yeah, I get that today when I first got the kids. And I know how to cook. Ralphs. Oh, yeah, that rotisserie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Give me the biscuits. The biscuits. Give me the biscuits, the chicken, And I know how to cook On the way you got them green For Laker haters funeral play get what I made you up, but I know you're out here conserving, trying to get your body right for the summer.
Starting point is 00:59:07 So, out of respect. But if this was LeBron's last game with the purple and gold, what's LeBron's legacy with the Lakers? LeBron's legacy? How's the Lakers? How's the Lakers from, what, the age, what, 34 to 39 now? 33 to 39? Six seasons. Got a championship six seasons
Starting point is 00:59:35 See what more can you ask for? Yeah, did I am the playoffs in the previous five seasons didn't make it in LeBron's first season Championship Western Finals appearance. I know I hate it. Yes, they will can you I know I Know you know they judge Nuggets fans. Hey, what were Nug Nuggets players. They're going to judge a 39-year-old man and none of their favorites even got to that age to even play like this. That's just anybody. Anybody they compare him to at 36, 7, 8, 9,
Starting point is 00:59:57 no great has even been here to even compare LeBron to. You're going to pair a 39-year-old to someone who is 31, 32, and 30. Which is not fair. He got here. If you're going to tell him to stop, stop him at when he was in, well,
Starting point is 01:00:13 his last year in Cleveland? Okay, stop him right there, and then go from there in everybody's career. How'd he get here? Got here where? How'd he get to his greatness? For the 39. How you get to 39?
Starting point is 01:00:27 Playing hard. Oh, I thought it was because you spend a million dollars a year on your body. That's part of it. Yeah. So why we ain't got the blueprint yet? Why ain't it came out with the whole, hey, look, young fella, this is how you do it. KD is doing it. I'm asking.
Starting point is 01:00:39 I'm answering. Why it ain't on the internet? Everything else on the internet. Give me the blueprint of one, two, three. Go buy this hyperbaric chamber. Go get this massage therapist. Go get these things to help your legs and your knees. Hey, young fella, you want to last in this motherfucking league 24, 26, 35 years?
Starting point is 01:00:57 Do it like this. Why can't we figure out what you doing? Katie. Because listen, you know what? Katie. Katie. Curry. Because listen, you know what? Katie. Katie. Curry. You talking about two.
Starting point is 01:01:08 They're playing exactly the same way at the same age. 300 niggas in the league. Well, we can't help it. Why you can't tell us about them scientists? Brady. Brady. There's some scientists in the back. Brady.
Starting point is 01:01:17 There's some scientists in the back, and you're going in there switching that shit. You just got to learn. How about Brady? You got surgery. How about Brady at his age? I mean, some people just take the shit very ain't no genetic anomaly This ain't no genetic either you an alien a cyborg or you're doing something. Nobody else knows what you're doing Working hard for some work. You can take the game serious
Starting point is 01:01:37 I'm pretty sure you've never been to the game at one o'clock working on your body man. Listen, okay, listen Like it's like I guess it's easy's easy to try to take away somebody's legacy because they're lasting longer than everybody else. We've seen Michael Jordan average 20 at 39 and 40. No one questioned it. He was playing well, right? If he took care of his body and stopped smoking and drinking, what the fuck would he have been doing at that age?
Starting point is 01:02:02 He was drinking wine. He smoked a cigar and drunk every night and still came out an average 20 in the hardest era of defense. With the jaundice on. Right? And people don't understand that. He was getting his knee drunk, right?
Starting point is 01:02:15 Yeah, taking it. That means I'm at 40. But what I'm saying is, he's taking, he's injecting his knee, getting his fucking drain, black tar coming out his knee averaging 20 in a zone defense smoking and drinking just so so How did that happen? I'm just greatness is greatness
Starting point is 01:02:35 If you want to give he was that great that he can just say fuck you need y'all still track 20 you want to give it credit you can but I'm just saying when the last time what Cleveland won the championship in what year 2016 20 steps the last time LeBron won a real championship 2020 it was all matter. I said a real chain. No matter about a real So when I'm talking about all this shit that you're talking about leading up to it Like where is it like show me show you why I mean the last six years we have these 28 the last four years 28 29 A championship came out of there though. You've been trying 2020 championship
Starting point is 01:03:11 I don't want to hear no a shit to give an excuse why I'm not for one No, I'm not giving the age it I'm for one. Did he got there your favorite player? Which is my favorite player of all time he knew Well, you got our favorite player three I got it at one his life not the same his last But yo his last four years he didn't make it to the playoff matter. You know what his roster looked like Okay, so a bunch of young ass niggas. He was coming off Achilles So we don't know that Achilles ain't gonna try before the Achilles he made it to the team didn't make it Oh, this ain't about him. He you know. Of course. But you know what he would say. It don't matter what he would say.
Starting point is 01:03:46 We know what he did the last four years. He ain't here to say it. His team didn't make it. Your man just got 4-1. His team didn't make it. I don't give a fuck how old he is. His team didn't make it. 40, 70, 19.
Starting point is 01:03:58 Nigga go to Cabo, sit your ass down somewhere. Can't even go to Cancun. Can't even go to Cancun. No, no, but that's what I'm saying. How do you feel? They should go to Catalina.. Can't even go to Cancun. No, no, but that's what I'm saying. How do you put it? They said go to Catalina. What I'm saying is, if we're comparing,
Starting point is 01:04:08 if we're comparing, right, to the greats, if the greats last four years didn't exist, they didn't make it nowhere, and then you're going to say, well, their team sucked, and he got 4-1.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Well, he had five more games than whoever you're going to name him to. well, their team sucked, and he got 4-1. Well, he had five more games than whoever you're going to name him to. Ten more games than whoever you can compare him to. Your man averaged four points at 39. He's averaging 26. So because he's playing longer, you're giving him credit for some kind of greatness that surpassed other people? It don't matter. None of that shit matters how long you play.
Starting point is 01:04:42 I'm not penalizing him at an age where the people didn't even exist. They didn't even, wasn't even relevant at these ages. So I'm not even going to, I'm not going to penalize him. And I'm not going to give anybody else non-credit. We see what Tim Duncan looked like at the end, right? We didn't count that against him. We've seen his greatness when he was great. Shaquille O'Neal's last six years.
Starting point is 01:05:04 We've seen what he looked like. We don't count that against him, though. We know how great LeBron is. And we're not taking away from his greatness. We don't count it against him. Because the age don't make you better than the other greats. Because you're playing longer than the other greats play don't mean you're greater than anything.
Starting point is 01:05:20 Everyone has their own greatness. No one says that only LeBron haters use great No, no such thing as a LeBron hater Just reality They're called off everybody everybody know niggas that when you mention Brian, you know what they say in the comment Hey, why do you hate my soul? No opposition Are you bad there are you a basketball fan listen when you play against somebody what's the other side?
Starting point is 01:05:58 There's a lot of why would there's no other side is an opponent. Yeah, it's the opposition Yes, right. So you're not playing against a bunch of motherfuckers who want you to score every time and we just ole it. That means I got defense here. It's defense here. You know what I am? I'm the fucking defense, nigga. You like... And y'all don't like my defense. That's why.
Starting point is 01:06:13 What? You don't like that I... I'm here to say, no, I don't like that. No, I don't respect that. Okay. No, I'm cool on that. But what does that mean? What does that mean?
Starting point is 01:06:21 It's just basketball. That's what that... Well, you're saying a whole bunch of nothing. It's just fucking basketball, but what are you saying? I'm the defense you are you are I'm the villain If he the hero, I'm the villain. I'm why does that have to be a hero or a fellow? That's what I'm saying. Like you don't have to pick side if you're a basketball fan. You're a basketball fan. I'm a study I'm not a fan. That means you know a difference. You like I'm a'm a student. I'm not a fan. You like players. You like a player. So that means if you... That's the problem. I like the game, Gilbert. No, you don't.
Starting point is 01:06:49 Yes, I do. Because if you like the game, you will like LeBron. What? If you like the game. No. No. No. If you love the game, you will love his greatness. If you like LeBron, you like LeBron. That's the difference. I like LeBron. I like Magic. I like Shaq. I like Kareem. I like Magic. I like Shaq. I like Kareem.
Starting point is 01:07:06 I like Bird. I like Duncan. I like basketball. I watch the game. I watch the game. I'm not rooting against Jokic now. I'm cheering my fucking team on. You are a liar.
Starting point is 01:07:19 I'm rooting my team on. You're a LeBron fan. I'm a basketball fan. I'm a Lakers fan. All of y'all have already came out and said it. I'm a Laker all of y'all have already came out of the Laker fan Steve just received just revealed himself Yesterday, do you already know? Anybody if anybody watched me on my life if anybody watch my lives when I'm watching basketball and I'm watching the Lakers, I'm rooting for the Lakers. I'm not an anti-Denver fan.
Starting point is 01:07:54 I'm rooting for my team. I'm not saying, man, fuck you. Oh, that was a good shot. That's a bad shot. Pass the ball. I'm cheering my team on. And ain't nobody on this side is saying, oh, I hate this, I hate this. You. No, it's not. You're an anti-Laker fan. oh I hate this I hate this you're an anti-Laker fan
Starting point is 01:08:07 and you're an anti-LeBron fan I respect LeBron I don't have to root for him I don't have to be on that fan shit with him I know basketball I know when you do some bullshit I'm here to call that shit out box out back door
Starting point is 01:08:22 man what was that you didn't even run back what's all this complaining shit y'all don't like that shit out. Box out. Back door. Man, what was that? You didn't even run back. What's all this complaining shit? Y'all don't like that shit. I get it, but I'm here to call it out because ain't nobody else here. I didn't go to LeBron camp. I ain't got to be the nigga that's training his son. I ain't that nigga getting invited to Taco Tuesday. You know who
Starting point is 01:08:38 I'm that nigga? I don't like that shit. I don't like the way you walk. I don't like the way you talk. I don't like the way you dress. I don't like none of that shit, nigga. Hey, can LeBron respect the N-word? No, he don't respect the way you walk. I don't like the way you talk. I don't like the way you dress. I don't like none of that shit, nigga. Can LeBron still say the N-word? No, he don't respect. He only respects LeBron. LeBron is the greatest of all time. He's the greatest of all time.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Do you respect the 20, how many years has it been? 21 years. You respect the 21 years, though? Yes, you got to, right? Okay. All right. But does that make him greater than other people because he played? Boogshank keeps saying that. I just said it. I just said it.
Starting point is 01:09:05 That's what I said. I just said it. I'm not... Don't be guilty. I'm just saying it. If you want to be technical, yeah, it does. Not to me.
Starting point is 01:09:12 Not to me. You want to be technical. It can't to other people. But that's what I'm saying. We're asking. If you're asking me... Yes. None of that shit matters.
Starting point is 01:09:20 Okay, so... Okay, how about this? Where does he rank in your eyes? Five. So... Okay. No, no, no, no. That's fine. That's fine. That's fine. So that means... Okay, so we're okay. How about this? What is he ranking your in your eyes? five so So that means so that means that means that's your top five You actually have someone that you can't even be positive on yes, I can be positive on it You just don't like my positivity. You don't like it. I hear it ain't positive enough for you That's it. I mean, they see you need it. It ain't positive enough for you. That's it. You need some fucking cupcake icing on top of that shit.
Starting point is 01:09:48 I give it to you how I give it to you. And you can take it or you can fucking leave it. I mean, listen, Lacey has a vibe, man. They do. They eat them shits all the time. They eat them shits all the time. It's gonna get crazier. What team do I hate? What team do you hate? Clippers, right?
Starting point is 01:10:06 You did before you put their name out there. Clippers, right? Uh-huh. But I love who? Westbrook. Tyloo. James. Kawhi, Tyloo, James Harden.
Starting point is 01:10:15 I don't like the organization because I'm a Laker fan, but I like the players. So I'm rooting for my players to score. I'm not anti players I'm a basketball fan right so I I love everybody's history if you're a fan you're a fan of everything You can't just say I love this guy and then Some shit my wife tell me, right? Why you gotta be the one... She tell me all the time, like, why you gotta be the one to say it?
Starting point is 01:10:55 Like, why you gotta be the one to point out his flaws? Like, why... I'm asking. Because nobody else is doing it. But why does it have to be you? It's a job. And I want it. What's Kobe's flaws? What's Kobe's flaws? Oh man, what's Kobe's flaws? I guess he was a little bit selfish at times. That's not a flaw. That's not a flaw. But you guys asked me. Oh, okay. See how that works? When
Starting point is 01:11:22 you ask me something you don't agree, then it's not real. Okay, so that's a flaw. No, no, I just said that, but we didn't think that was a flaw. I didn't. That's why I call it a flaw. But we didn't take it as an opinion, right? No, y'all, yeah, for sure. But y'all ask me. I didn't ask y'all.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Y'all ask me. Okay, so what's his flaws? Selfish. He's a little bit selfish at times. Can I ask a second question on that? Go ahead. When was he selfish? When was he selfish? When was he selfish?
Starting point is 01:11:46 When it was time to get his teammates involved in certain aspects of the game. And why did he say? He didn't trust them. Why? Because of their work ethic. Okay. So his flaws needed to be more patient with your teammates and help them get over those flaws of work ethic.
Starting point is 01:12:04 So what's LeBron's flaw? Man. I think LeBron is flawless. Except for when it comes down to boxing out in late games, hitting shots and free throws. You know, just little things that just cost the game, you like you blame other people and all that kind of shit But other than that It's flawless flawless damn boy stupid squeaky clean. So let's talk a little bit about brah brah an average 26 87
Starting point is 01:12:38 71 games this season his most the Lakers uniform So after the game the athletic drop the story saying the Lakers are open to giving Bron a three-year extension. He has a player option this year. He hasn't decided whether he'll opt in or out. And would be very interested in drafting Bronny to help LeBron fulfill his dream
Starting point is 01:12:53 of playing with his son. So any... I'm merely reporting the news. No. It's just basketball. No, no, no. I'm merely reporting the news You know you don't catch it like you like yeah, they gonna fulfill it play with a suit This thing is crazy I'm trying to do my rig Any issues the Lakers using a pick on Bronny to keep Bron on the squad Better
Starting point is 01:13:46 Better this is a franchise that takes care of their superstars, shows them how much they appreciate it. Who the fuck have they ever gotten to drive at that pick that's worth anything? I don't know, what, 17 to 25, one of them picks? I was thinking the second rounder. It's just a nasty situation, ain't it? Yeah? It shouldn't bother it. Empathism is what it's called.
Starting point is 01:14:04 Yeah, it shouldn't bother it. It shouldn't bother it shouldn't bother it it shouldn't bother it whatever you're getting at that pick ain't gonna be no I mean unless something stunning's there like somebody you know you can catch because you can get them in free agency if you don't get drafted but
Starting point is 01:14:19 I don't trust because if LeBron's end up opting out I don't trust any other organization I canron ends up opting out, I don't trust any other organization. I can tell you that for sure. So do right by him? No, because most likely this is what's going to happen. He will opt out, right, which puts the pressure on him. Like, oh, shit, right?
Starting point is 01:14:37 Because that puts the pressure on him if he opts out because you get none for him. That means whatever their pick is, they got to draft Bronny. All right? And this is a business. And if I have the pick before the Lakers, I'm drafting Bronny. Just to be an asshole. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:54 Let's make a deal. Period. All right? Let's make a fucking deal. What are we talking about? Knowing probably Bron won't come here, but the fact... Got your son.
Starting point is 01:15:09 Got your son. to trade play the game Yeah, because once you what does it what I want you once you're once you're pick is out of the lottery from there is It's leverage at that point. I can put I guess I'm seeing who's coming I will have I will have better leverage if I can drive him and make them Give me something for him That'll be a better pick for me Now future first Future first give me give me Rui out this month. Give me ruin reason dealer. Hey, what?
Starting point is 01:15:42 Who you really give up? So what does that do with the pressure? What does that do with the future? Like, is that LeBron setting up the Lakers for post-LeBron? Like, how does you look at that free agency move? Like, alright, if the Lakers do Bronny,
Starting point is 01:15:59 what are they doing after that? Like, they gotta move around. Like, Reeves gotta, they gotta do something with all them, all them players that they got. I don't think none of them really want to be there. None of them. Well, no, they want to be there, but it's just they're in a tough situation. Right. I mean, you got D-Lo with a player option.
Starting point is 01:16:16 He should opt in. He should, but there have been reports that he's considering opting out and just. Of course, he's going to opt out. He averaged 18 this year. How much he got on the books? I think it's like 17, 18 million that he's considering opting out and just of course he's gonna opt out He averaged 18 this year. Well, how much you got on the books? It's like 17 team in the lot about 17. Yeah, he got out. He walked out Yeah, cuz he can still pull in a three year 40 maybe yeah He got out get that extra bread. You don't go so he's got 18.6 next year. He gonna go for this else. I think and then 18.6 next year. He's going to go play somewhere else, I think. And then let's talk a little bit just about AD, man.
Starting point is 01:16:47 AD played in career-high 76 games this season, likely make an all-NBA team, 25-13 rebounds, four assists, two blocks a game. Increased his production in the playoffs, 28-16 in four assists. Was the best player on the court at times. A little questionable in game five with the shoulder situation. It don't... Them numbers are fucking deceiving. A little questionable and gave five with the shoulder situation It all The numbers are fucking deceiving that was not facts is not the numbers be on because you know
Starting point is 01:17:12 We said before the year he got that bread I was like man this nigga ad got to come in and do what he got paid to do I think those numbers reflect that but but I know what you're talking. Yeah, I hear you But the numbers are deceiving. Yeah, but you don talking about. I hear you, yeah. I know what you're talking about. But the numbers are deceiving. He happens to watch. It don't feel like that. It don't feel like, no.
Starting point is 01:17:30 It don't feel like he did. It don't, like. 25, 13, 14. For somebody to put up some numbers, because that's almost the numbers he was putting up in New Orleans.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Right? Facts. Them almost similar numbers he was putting up in New Orleans. Mm-hmm. And the team wasn't doing shit. Yeah. It's giving me that Orleans. Mm-hmm and the team wasn't doing shit. Yeah It's giving me that feeling. Mm-hmm of
Starting point is 01:17:49 empty stat Anthony Davis Right, not impact, you know, we said yeah Yeah It's if you're gonna give me 25. I want to maneuver your 25 right first quarter nigga. You can have three Right the three in the first quarter right not in the fourth yeah and that's that's where his stats are leading he's averaging 25 but the worst quarter is his fourth quarter it might be because you know usually we're sitting out and we come back in with the nine minute mark yeah i would come back in the nine minutes so he
Starting point is 01:18:22 has probably less minutes in that quarter. That might be it. But for the most part... Still, though, guys are the dude. But still, guys are the... When you that dude... You're going to find us. No. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 01:18:35 And B... Them last nine minutes when you get back in the game, you go, hey, man, hey. Yeah, you don't got time. Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho. Hey, hey. Hey, hey. You're yelling for that bitch.
Starting point is 01:18:44 Ain't that the difference between him and Embiid? Hell yeah, yeah. That's between him and Embiid. Embiid on that floor, you know that ball going. Y'all going to him. Especially before quarter. Y'all just when Y'all just before Dame. Before Dame, you know where the ball was going.
Starting point is 01:18:55 Facts. It's like. See, now it sees why. When Tim Duncan was playing, god damn it. Hey. Yeah. Even Y'all. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:04 Traveling ass. He going, he going. If he was on that other block even y'all yeah travel now you know he goes you know if he was on that other block you got all traveling spin drop and then that hop yeah the legs to get him off the yeah yo I hear you them numbers ain't they on the book absolutely 25 30 oh that shit is on the book, absolutely. 25 to 30, that shit is on the book. So what you're saying is, when you look at the book, when you look at the book, you see it. And they got 4-1.
Starting point is 01:19:34 I'm aware of it. So that just tells you, right? That's crazy. The playoff 4-1 exit is an indication of exactly what we're sitting here seeing right now. Because when we... The average, what in the playoffs? 28-16. 28-16.
Starting point is 01:19:51 His numbers are greater. So you're saying when you look at the book, you're like... Damn, if people don't know basketball, you look at that shit like, God damn, Anthony Davis played great. But you're saying you're looking at it and you you knowing it don't feel like what it looked like. No, yeah, absolutely. And the fans don't understand that. We can look at it way differently. That's why I said
Starting point is 01:20:12 with the KD numbers and all them, like the numbers are the numbers, but KD got to give me way more than that because those are consistent numbers. Those are your regular numbers. Even with Brian. Brian giving you 30 and 9 and 9 in the closeout game, you got to give us 40. But look. What I'm saying is okay He has in 28, but he's only averaging three in the fourth. So that means the other three quarters. He's averaging nine points. Yeah
Starting point is 01:20:33 Now he's having nine points of core and in the fourth quarter three shut out. Yeah Yeah, a little over 8. But if you think about it, if you think about it, so 25 divided by 3, about 8.3. 9.3? If he's not the closer, he'd be mad. Mad, mad.
Starting point is 01:20:52 Don't be mad. But look, if you the closer, if you're not the closer, if you're not the closer, that puts you at the second tier row. He's the number two that's getting us to the fourth, and LeBronron supposed to be our eight point nine point fourth quarter guy That's that's why he not as why he only getting three. That's why that's the problem and that now it makes sense why?
Starting point is 01:21:15 Reeves and D low What was they numbers when they won the championship in 2020 and like like him and AD has some good numbers like like 80 Like like him in the playoffs in the playoffs. It was no numbers 28 16 and a four quarter I'm just so overall the under five minutes in the 20 under five like the floor quarter back and look at the fourth quarter So it but yeah in the total playoffs the average 28 10 for assists and 20 when you get in. Yep 28 and 10 forces a but it's still the fourth quarter because we looking at 28 10 and we realize it ain't winning 2016 remember but that team was different. What the fuck do they get rid of that? Why didn't bring them niggas? I don't know. I just thought about that. Why didn't you bring?
Starting point is 01:21:57 I don't know how you think I didn't like Rondo. You could go do that again. I know we don't do that again We don't feel like oh you got rid't do that again. Bro. You got rid of Kuzma. Was it Kuzma? Kuzma. JR. Everybody said that. And what's-her-name was on the bench. Avery Bradley didn't show up, but he was on that team.
Starting point is 01:22:14 Baron Spirit. Oh, yeah. Dion Waiters. Dion Waiters was on that team. That Laker team was really good. Very good. That Laker team was really good. That was a solid team.
Starting point is 01:22:21 This is when you needed JaVale and Dwight. Because that put Anthony Davis at the actual four. Jump shots all day. It was the best shit going at the time. Because the production you was getting out of that five with them two dudes was enough. It was a cheat code, bro. It was a cheat code. I was like, this is cheating.
Starting point is 01:22:39 They went big, big. Kuzma at the damn two and LeBron at the third. Rondo playing the actual point. Ja They'll coming off the bench, bro. That's what I said Got you Buying them type shape like with all the well, that's what they had a really yeah, they said the team They needed that but as I said, that's what they needed against Denver because it's Denver Denver is a big team that people don't realize is is that tall but think you got three three dudes in the back line and six ten and above but if you take Joker off that off that front line you get him in foul
Starting point is 01:23:16 trouble they really shot cuz you gotta depend on DeAndre so the message is right yeah somebody know he ain't super yeah he ain't time. So you can sign people right before the playoffs, and they'll be on your playoff roster, right? Yes. Right? Okay. Dwight was begging. They kind of knew that it was a possibility that he was going to.
Starting point is 01:23:38 Played, yeah. It was a possibility. Yes. They knew. After the end of the season. A little insurance. A little insurance. Hey, big fella.
Starting point is 01:23:46 What's going on, man? You always great shit. Look at the show. Real shit. You still, hey. You got how many fouls? They still give you six fouls? Hey, man.
Starting point is 01:23:56 You know what? Hey, got the league minimum for you, but you ain't worried about that, huh? Hey, come on over here, man. Come on over here. Junker a much different player now than he was in 2020. True. But Dwight. You're a different player, but if someone has your number, you still thinking about them.
Starting point is 01:24:15 Yeah, and that's, I mean, even just for. But it's just the body. You just need the body. Right? It ain't even body. Okay, the skill set is a skill set, right? Aside. right aside you got two guys who you can know gonna play defense and rebound and that you can count on each game to do their job and it looks right to now
Starting point is 01:24:37 that's what you feel like this year Sacramento Sacramento not getting no clock no clock He down right down the road now you got to give Dwight a little bit more credit though Cuz he not only just knows how to play defense. He can affect the fucking yes change the fucking game He's a lobber. He's a sealer and he got better as free throws down the line where you can and I'm hard and I'm random Hard fouls Because it's like, he stays there. That means AD is on Gordon and Bron is on Michael Porter.
Starting point is 01:25:12 And Gordon can't guard the AD. No, sure. That's the mismatch. So that's what I'll say. Good job, front office. You see how we just fixed your problem? Give us a call. You know, the problem is
Starting point is 01:25:24 everybody's so in their feet in the gym over there. Everybody in their feelings. They're so in their feelings. We just fix your problem Give us a call Everybody They feeling wrong when they feelings see this is the ball he didn't get along with I don't give a fuck about now I'm trying to rob a works it. So this is the thing like Rob was a hell of a agent He was a hell of a agent hell of a agent. Well He had one player right now. That's it. That's all you need Hell of a agent for that player right? That don't Translate it doesn't know how you know, you know, look at the code look at Phil Jackson was a head coach for a long time
Starting point is 01:25:58 Hey, look what he did in front office. Yeah got awful awful. So Different roles in this game don't mean you can do something else. If you was something in this business of sport, basketball, whatever it is,
Starting point is 01:26:10 don't mean you can step into that and be successful and know what the hell you're doing. You gotta know what you're looking at. You gotta start over. You can't take your resume
Starting point is 01:26:17 with you. Now that you're stepping into that, that's a whole different door. Yeah, you're right. That's a whole different door. That's what I say about Mike Dunleavy.
Starting point is 01:26:24 Going up there in Golden State. Well, he just gotta get reckless That's what I say about Mike Dunleavy. Going up there and Golden State. He just gotta get start over. He better get reckless. Hopefully he took some classes and started paying attention and really set. The guy who was before him was excellent. So do you think he mentored him though? Why wouldn't he have?
Starting point is 01:26:40 Okay, I was just, because he ran his ass up out of there. Bob got the fuck up out of there. Bob got it. Mike auditor board. I Got the fuck up out of it Mike don't leave you my mother body. I'm saying I learned from like probably ain't given time. No, but he's Well give he didn't listen I've been watching this By Deli brand new sports and see came out the womb So therefore, he know how to pay attention and watch and ask questions and learn
Starting point is 01:27:09 from being within. Sit back just watching what this man done over years, how he went about his business, how he drafted, and like you said, picking up the phone. I'm calling him. Man, listen, that organization up there from what I could tell is well-ran, family-oriented from the owner down.
Starting point is 01:27:27 They're about winning. They've been successful at what they've been doing. And they want to keep that going because they got a recipe for it. Facts. So why wouldn't they want to share that knowledge and that information if he didn't learn directly from it? We talk about Rob, though. Rob got an ego. He's an agent coming from thinking that he can do the shit that Magic could do.
Starting point is 01:27:46 And that's why Magic got the fuck up out of there because it's like, what the fuck? Y'all got this dude coming in thinking he can do what I can do? But y'all trust Jerry. Jerry. Jerry do all his shit the way he want to do it. He's proven. Why can't I be proven at this position? Y'all want to give him the opportunity to do this? So that's what that bubble. Was Rob in control of the bubble? Was that his first chip? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:11 So boom. So he give him the credit. He think he a genius. That's how it goes. Now what? Let's talk about the Lakers coaching situation now. So according to that same report in the Athletic that dropped shortly after the Lakers season ended, Darvin Hamm is likely to get the boot.
Starting point is 01:28:25 One person who doesn't want to see him leave is Michael Malone, who had high praise for Hamm after the game. I would be remiss. I think Darvin Hamm is a hell of a coach, and that's not an easy job. And I think Darvin does it with class, and I think he and his staff deserve credit for that. He's a good man, good coach, and I wish him all the best, and hopefully he'll be around there for a long time because he deserves to be.
Starting point is 01:28:52 So Michael Malone, hoping that you know where hope works. Yeah, definitely know where hope works. Definitely know where hope works. It should be noted that Malone is 13-3 against him in the last two seasons, including 8-1 in the playoffs. So you can understand probably why he would want him to be around for a long time. It's a great-ass troll. Was he being earnest or sincere, or did we feel like it was some trolling going on?
Starting point is 01:29:18 A lot of that statement, no, Darvin's a good dude, though. Great dude, great man. All those things are accurate. But shit, hey, got his number you like shit Around come on I want the motherfucker I'm whooping on In layman's turn right if you hoping uh-huh You score score you, throw the ball here
Starting point is 01:29:47 again, you throw it down here again. Hey, I should shoot this bitch the next seven, eight times. Don't take him out, Coach. No, don't take him out. Please don't take him out. Please. He almost got it there. He's doing a good job.
Starting point is 01:29:58 Start giving him compliments. He's right there. If you would have had it like this, you would have did it like that. Give it back to me. Score. Maybe if you do it this way this way you the toughest guard I ever had Keep working keep working. I keep playing it love. I'm be holding He hoping he over the front office over there listening. He's all her Mike Malone said he heard He said I heard Michael Malone said I'm
Starting point is 01:30:23 But Mike I think Mike I still know like Michael Malone said. He said, I'm doing it. You said it. Yeah, yeah. He said, I'm good. But Mike, I think Mike also knows the empathy and compassion that you got to have in that position because he could have easily been in that position had he not won that championship. Being on the chopping block, knowing what that feel like if you don't deliver with the talent that you got. You playing with LeBron, you got AD, you had Westbrook, you had Melo. You had a lot. Yeah, this job tough.
Starting point is 01:30:44 Like he said, this is a tough job, job. Yeah, we can make a job is tough Yeah, I got a win and that's your day Laker job is for this and the Lakers I said to the Western Conference finals your first you know, I just there's three jobs in sports, right? Hey coach of the Lakers. Mm-hmm Any position you pay for the fucking Yankees, but definitely shortstop for the Yankees. General manager, any of that over there? Knicks?
Starting point is 01:31:10 No. Coaching the Knicks? And fucking quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. Oh, there you go. I'm just saying. Dead ass. Right? The head coach for Los Angeles Lakers gets a lot of fucking heat, and whoever the star
Starting point is 01:31:22 player is, they are tied at the hip. That's what it is in sports. head coach for Los Angeles Lakers gets a lot of fucking heat. And whoever the star player, they are tied at the hip. Yeah. That's what it is in sports. So it's unfortunate. It was happening when Darvin got the gig. I was happy to see the black man get the opportunity, man, where he come from, his stories.
Starting point is 01:31:37 It's one that people need to know. But, yeah, no, man, it's a tough gig. It's tough being LeBron's head coach, for one. Being LeBron's head coach for the Los Angeles Lakers is... It's a volcano. Much tougher than Cleveland. It's a volcano, right? It's an active volcano that any moment can erupt.
Starting point is 01:32:01 Like, that's just what it is. So unless you're winning and winning consistently and making deep runs in the playoffs and People are praising you there if there's more praise than negativity you got a chance of surviving but It's not a long time Whatever contract you get and you ain't gonna live long You ain't gonna play it out
Starting point is 01:32:24 Who was before Frank Vogel? Luke Walton. Luke Walton. Who was before Luke? Mike? We don't even know. Was it Mike Brown? Mike Brown.
Starting point is 01:32:33 I brought in a coach there, but I don't think he was before Luke. D'Antoni? D'Antoni was over there. Let me see. Who was the white guy, white guy, white guy, black guy? It's been a carousel of coaches. Let me give it to you, Sean. Who was the last one?
Starting point is 01:32:42 I'll give you, I'll give you the... It was a carousel. We'll go backwards. Byron Scott. So, Darvin Ham from... White guy black guy sale of course. Let me give it to you. Sure I'll give you I'll give it a Carousel will go backwards. I'm Scott. So Darvin ham Frank Vogel Luke Walton Byron Scott Dan Tony Then you had Mike Brown Bernie Bickerstaff. Okay, okay. Yeah. Yes white guys turn next Why guys turn next? They don't give a fuck. You got two years, get your ass out of there.
Starting point is 01:33:08 Listen to all them coaches, man. Listen to them. Name them. Listen to them. Let's go. So we'll go backwards again. So we went Darvin Hamm. Unexperienced.
Starting point is 01:33:17 Black. Frank Vogel. Best product coach that they had then. Luke Walton. Unexperienced. Coming from those World Champions. Unexperienced. 24 games. Got it. Yeah experience go had that girl
Starting point is 01:33:25 I know it's the back to back Back to back virus got black unexperienced That coach right there was the the only coach that actually had... Some experience. Some experience under the belt. It was after the Kobe. It was Kobe, like... So after Phil Jackson left in 2011, they went Mike Brown, 2011, 2012.
Starting point is 01:33:57 Mike Brown started 2012-13 season, then Bernie Bickerstaff, D'Antoni. D'Antoni got the full season in 2014. Byron Scott from a... You're going back up. Can we keep going back down? Black, black, white, black. I know I tried to reverse it. Oh, yeah, yeah. How many coaches has this been? Let's count them.
Starting point is 01:34:13 Since field? Since field. So, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Seven coaches since field, Jackson. That's a citizen except... Been head coach at Laker for some point. Since 2011? Since 2011? Damn.
Starting point is 01:34:30 Seven coaches in 13 years. Seven in 13 years. Yeah. You don't trust none of them. None of them. You don't trust them. Hey. You just here. You just here.
Starting point is 01:34:37 They should give you the... They should give you the... You. No, I'm just saying, who's going to be the next coach? You. You. Hell no. Man, you should take that.
Starting point is 01:34:44 Hell no. You scared? I said myself. Hold on do you you you hail man. You should take that. Hey, I said myself. Yeah, hold on Everybody I can just shoot me Many will Listen I don't know how to run a practice. You don't need to. That's what you get the assistance for. You got Kate right here.
Starting point is 01:35:08 Kate's sitting right here. I run you, my man. Hey, hey, hey. Come on here. All right, Gil. You want me to be from New Orleans. Can they take me through how to break down film, how to run a practice? I can see the practice, but I got to see it and then say, okay, this doesn't go here.
Starting point is 01:35:22 This doesn't go here. You start, and then you keep going. You don't start off hot, slow down, walk, then say, all right, five on five. Like, no, no, no, that's not how we play. That's why you hired him. Hamstrings. Hamstrings. You know how many people want to work with Gil?
Starting point is 01:35:36 Yeah. Hire them niggas. We'll be in a lot of you every year. Because the name of your practice is called hamstrings. Hamstrings. Just give me a little job. Let's go Stop yeah go faster Pop oh shit. Ah, shit, but who who who's out there that was going to ask me that was my
Starting point is 01:35:57 Out there who should the lakers target to be the next coach because as you guys Coming with this job is a lot more than just coaching you doing with the LA media doing Boone hosin hosin. Hmm. I like them Kenny Smith circle back to Adrian Griffin Me might as well go might as well go Adrian Griffin, but I do I said but Somebody man right here. I already and he'll fucking horrible. Can I just tell you I'm talking about this man. I already fucking horrible. Can I just tell you, I know his job is in peril. No, he done. He done, bro. He was using big words in the article. They wanted him out. I'm just I'm looking at the right.
Starting point is 01:36:40 And it is. I mean, you think about a comment. Fucking Anthony. Fuck Anthony Davis. Put that man on the grill, grill too though Well, we don't know we're doing on both sides They all did like if you started looking if you go back and look at some of the press conference even like D Lo saying certain shit like you be like I That was this making them in all just adding to the fire. It was just What about you on how it's Hmm. He's just joined somebody's staff. What about some of the assistant coaches over there at Golden? I think Phil Hanley.
Starting point is 01:37:12 Phil Hanley. I don't like Phil at that job. Because he feels too much pressure on me. Yeah, because he's the player's guy. He's the guy that needs to talk to the players outside of coach. Yeah. Head coaches out for the Lakers. Yeah, you Don't care you'll put your love it
Starting point is 01:37:30 Love it, but it's just you know only one that got the skin you don't move practice till 2 30 So you can still do kills represent about underdog fantasy players will respect you more we practice in that 530 get up get up So y'all had a resident Eddie's sales mmm Fuck your nightlife of eating. I worry about nightlife. You go ahead. You go have to party a day party Wake up. Hey 5 to 6 30. Let's go. I mean, I mean it it's perfect. I mean, especially the LA traffic 38 you ain't got no traffic I had to say 30 now you can go back go to sleep and then wake up around noon and then now you might get another Workout in too much time Too much talent. I don't idle hands
Starting point is 01:38:18 Think about this I don't ends at noon. Oh I'll mind that so once you and for new before you're going to do at noon? There ain't too many DUIs. There ain't no DUIs after that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There ain't too many DUIs after 3.30.
Starting point is 01:38:31 If you drink it like that, damn, my nigga, you need to not have it. You're going to be at the mall. Bored as hell. Bored as hell. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:38:39 Bored as hell. Bored as hell. Now, bring your ass back to the gym, Goofy. Bring your Goofy ass back over here. That's going to the gym, Goofy. Bring y'all Goofy asses back over here. That's going to force discipline.
Starting point is 01:38:47 That's automatic. So one conspiracy theory that's circulating, obviously we've seen LeBron and J.J. Redick team up for this Mind the Game podcast. That's been out here.
Starting point is 01:38:58 J.J. interviewed for the Hornets head coaching job. You see a world where J.J. Redick could be head coach of the Lakers. Yeah. At the end of the day could be head coach of the Lakers. Yeah. At the end of the day, I'm going to just be honest with you.
Starting point is 01:39:11 The face doesn't matter. It's who are you going to have with you that's going to be part of your crew. Right? Because he's not going to be able to see anything. I need the smartest dudes with me that's making sure there's... Right? Because he's not going to be able to see anything. I need the smartest dudes with me that's making sure there's, right? So when the names you're running out, it makes sense.
Starting point is 01:39:33 You can have them. Yeah. Right? It's who you're keeping. Right? Who's going to be, you know, when Tyra Lou wanted his job, right? And they said, oh, you got to hire J.Kidd. And he's like, I don't want the job.
Starting point is 01:39:47 I'll take the job. Give me J. Kidd, right? I got J. Kidd with me, right? He sees this game way different than me, right? Who else we want? This and this, if I get fired, it's okay. Wow. Right?
Starting point is 01:40:00 But I learned something with this group. Instead of having a whole bunch of yes men with me. You don't see the writing on the walls What is that writing Rashad JJ and LeBron start a podcast? JJ says he wants to be a coach. Mm-hmm LeBron knows Darwin's ass and his days are numbered JJ gets high by the Lakers. LeBron is still a player. JJ gets to coach LeBron.
Starting point is 01:40:28 They bring in Bronny. The podcast thrives. They're still doing the podcast? Fuck off. How does that not make no sense? They ain't going to have that. How does that not make sense? That was a good one. Hey, JJ, look.
Starting point is 01:40:40 I'm going to get you this. I'm going to be going, though. No, they're going to stop the podcast just to have JJ get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. I'm gonna get you this job. They're gonna stop the podcast just to have JJ coach the team. Who else will you trust? He trusts... Now you're sitting there talking X and O's with JJ.
Starting point is 01:40:50 How would you do this, Jay? Hey, Brian, how would you want this? How you want this done? Hey, I would do it like this, do it like this. They play older than the coach. Bro, they sitting there doing the shit themselves on TV.
Starting point is 01:41:01 They showing us. Right in front of us, huh? Right in front of us. He coaching. He coaching JJ to coaching J.J. to be the coach. Nah, but I'm saying, he's coaching him to be the coach, bro.
Starting point is 01:41:11 Hey, that's right before our eyes, though. Right there. They talk about the game like, yo, you know. This is what I would do, LeBron. I'd give you the ball right here and let you work. Yeah, but who's J.J. going to hire, though? That shit sound good when you... You said what? LeBron started fighting in the mirror like this. J.J., Hey, oh. You said what? When Bron start fighting in the middle.
Starting point is 01:41:25 When Bron start fighting like this, it was J.J., oh, shit. Get in line. Get in line. Move around. Move around. Like, eh. So, just looking at this Lakers roster...
Starting point is 01:41:38 If I'm J.J., I hire Bud. Bring him in. And to your point, I don't think it'll happen, but you bring somebody like J.J. in, it's really about who he assembles as his coaching staff. People be so scared of hiring somebody who's going to replace me. Dog, if you shit, you're going to get replaced anyway. So build you a fucking Avengers team.
Starting point is 01:41:59 I don't give a fuck if they smarter than me. If they're smarter than me, that means I'm learning something from them. Right? When I sit there and I go back to that, hey, what should I have done? Well, you done subbed this and you forgot this and you forgot that.
Starting point is 01:42:11 Shit, I ain't even looking like that. Okay. Shit, I'm learning. I'm learning as we go, too, from people that are just smarter. Right. But people are scared of that.
Starting point is 01:42:19 They want to hire their friends, get these little dumb motherfuckers with them. Shit, Denver, when this bitch been, again, there's going to be somebody from his staff that's why yeah shit nobody we do Popeye Jones and we see this even Steven Graham over there
Starting point is 01:42:35 and right is it Joey it's gonna be somebody from baby great it's gonna be joy there were twins yeah oh shit even Joey yeah it's gonna be somebody from Denver watch They got a bunch of deep run And this one got a bunch of guys back there to this like who back there the way who don't know wait the lake got a bunch of motherfuckers like That we would know behind that bench that he will raise. Yeah, well bucks like Dave They have the one guy Charles, but he went to the Boston I forgot his Minnesota got a bunch of motherfuckers back
Starting point is 01:43:09 Somebody's the winter coaches load the fuck up. I can tell there's some of them other coaches. They loan up with talent, too Yeah They got talent here in talent back there So just looking at this Lakers roster now looking ahead to next season now that This season has come to a close, unfortunately ending, what moves should the Lakers make this offseason? There's been a lot of talk about potentially adding a third superstar. Trey Young's name has been in the mix.
Starting point is 01:43:35 But what's the proper way to approach this? Can they learn anything from how the Suns try to approach building their big three to help them? How much money we got? We need a loan. I'm going to say get a new coach, draft Bronny, and go get a superstar. I mean, depending or not, if D-Lo opts in or out, Christian Wood also has a player option, Jackson Hayes has a player option, Cameron has a player option.
Starting point is 01:44:02 No, they don't. They don't got no option. They ain't got no option. Look at the fuck I knew last year. I can make sure you're innocent. I can make sure you're fine. No more nice guys. I can make sure you find your baby mama.
Starting point is 01:44:16 I know you can't find her, but I found her for you. No more Habibis. Move around. Move around. Your time here was not. I got a nice question Why do teams give player options to players who hasn't proven anything in this league? Mm-hmm Knowing that they're gonna take it. I don't know knowing that if it ain't going the way it should be going and I'm gonna opt in Oh, yeah, that's
Starting point is 01:44:40 Thanks, cuz you know, you can't test them because you you know, you can't go There's no way Christian would is not opting in this country for sure. There's no way feasible That this boy is not gonna opt in. Mm-hmm The paperwork is already on a desk that he's often in But so why do teams do that? I mean, I guess it's fucking agents. Then it used to be team option, then your option. That was a rookie deal. That was our rookie deal. It was rookie deal?
Starting point is 01:45:19 Team option first and then your option. Yeah, that's how I played four years in Jersey. Yep, same with mine, yeah. Right? that's how I played four years in Jersey. Yep, same with mine, yeah. Right? That's how I played four years in Jersey. So, because they could have paid me going into my fourth year, but they chose to pick up my option.
Starting point is 01:45:40 They could have gave me an extension, but they picked it up. Let you be free. That saves them money on not giving him the big money. So the next summer I was, I didn't know I was the end of year five. Yeah. At that point, did you know you were going to dip? No, I wanted to stay. I just wanted money. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:53 He was a restricted creation. No, I wasn't cheap. Don't get me wrong. I wanted a lot of money. I wanted a lot of money, but I fucking deserved it. The coldest line I ever heard, it was like, yo, did y'all hear what King Martin said? I was like, how the fuck I was supposed to hear what King Martin said, right? He was like, Donald Foyle just signed $42 million.
Starting point is 01:46:17 It was like $42, $41 million, and he averaged three and three. King said, shit, give me six and six and give me 84. I was like, damn, that's cold. Can you see shit? Give me six and six and give me 84 84 I can be a six and six easy very easy right now Free agency As we mentioned somber day, but we day celebrating but either way if I'm if I'm a
Starting point is 01:46:48 wait to see what D'Lo does knowing that D'Lo might opt out and then I'm probably I'm probably gonna shoot everything in the basket
Starting point is 01:46:59 for Paul George I can yeah I don't if I get Paul George with Braun and what's his name, I don't give a fuck who my point guard is at that point. Okay, so that's what I was about to ask you.
Starting point is 01:47:11 You wouldn't go get a point? I can get Reeves at the point guard position. Go big. Yeah, I'll just go big, have Paul George. Reeves can go, bro. That's what Reeves really is. He's kind of like a point sometimes. It's mayonnaise on the sandwich, man
Starting point is 01:47:28 Rashad in the right situation man elevator. I put mayonnaise on the hot dog Nasty work I mean, there's only a few people Nasty work now you could be what we looking at is a as situation where we're like, we wish we wouldn't got a real point. Nah. Nah, it was a bad fit. Does it? Bradley Beal was a bad fit from the beginning, dog.
Starting point is 01:47:54 Let's just call it what it is. He was a bad fit for what they had going on from the beginning. They thought it was it. I didn't. And you think about, Frank said, I really need a point guard. And they said, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Don't need a Bradley Beal. Yeah. Like, that it wasn't. That wasn't. I did and you think about never like Frank said I really need a point guard. They said nah nah nah nah Yeah
Starting point is 01:48:06 Hell of a talent Bradley put the ball in bass with the best of them when he healthy But you bring in PG you bring in PG with with LeBron Rockin he's up a little bit. All right. So is he gonna ease up? Here he's gonna eat all takes the rim like Paul And Paul is not a sit back and wait on the ball to come to him Come to the number two nigga that it was deferred to whoever the fuck is out. Yeah, you know what that is That's because that's his friend Who Kawhi remember quiet? I want my friend to come so, you know, he ain't want to step on his toes
Starting point is 01:48:37 But if we had if we had Paul George here Really don't like that. I get you, my friend. Listen, bro. Him and Anthony Davidson average 27 apiece. Yeah. Yeah. I see that. And LeBron averages 23, 24. But you don't see Austin doing what he was doing in the four quarters?
Starting point is 01:48:54 Nah, not with Paul George. You don't see him doing that shit in the four quarters thinking, It changes. With Paul George, it changes a lot. The difficult. Right? So if one of the motherfuckers go ghost on us, Paul George is dead. Facts.
Starting point is 01:49:07 I get that. We good on that part. I get that part. Now, if we... Now, D-Lo and... Trae Young. If somehow you can... D-Lo out of there.
Starting point is 01:49:23 Can we extend... How many years Trae Young got? Let me pull it up. if somehow you can he'll add it here we are state well how many issue younger political try to convince the loader I extend you to some may missus a very you do it when you gotta be out there to say you do it when a mmm deal about so trade has a is under contract till 2026 as a player option 2026 is the hour 43 million next year 46 million in 25 only we can a match 26. And player option
Starting point is 01:49:47 49 million in 2026. Throw him in, throw D'Lo and Rui in that? Make him opt into the deal, he opts into it and throw him and Rui for Trae Young? He ain't falling for the okey-doke. Sign or trade. Sign him.
Starting point is 01:50:03 Based on how it looks right now, Lakers are capped about $178 million next year. Or sign them. So it still has to be the same thing with the money. Based on how it looks right now, the Lakers caps is about $178 million next year. I won't worry about that man, come on. I'm not worried. Stop worrying about the cap. I'm not worried. I'm just reporting the information as it is. We ain't did this.
Starting point is 01:50:17 We tried to win. We didn't. He didn't. It's Memphis. So can you get Trey and PG? That would require you removing LeBron or- One of them got to go? No.
Starting point is 01:50:28 That's going to require- That's going to require this. That's what I'm saying. If the checkbook- If we can write the check, we can do it. Somebody teaming up. It's going to be a bunch of- So what they going to pay LeBron? A two year? So he should- Two year 55?
Starting point is 01:50:43 I felt he take a cut. That ain't whatever. LeBon a two-year. So he should- Two-year 55. I'll pay out, he take a cut. That ain't whatever, Lebron ain't doing that. That ain't- I'm not, one year, give him a one year what? One year 30? I'm gonna tell him, like, you like buildings? Yeah, okay, look, I got this building. Uh.
Starting point is 01:50:56 It's going over right next to where the stadium, going over where the Clippers Stadium is. We got this- Right next to it. Right next to it. You know what? We'll give you the parking. Do you want the parking? Park the whole parking lot. No, we'll give you the whole? We'll give you the parking. Do you want the parking?
Starting point is 01:51:05 We'll give you the whole, we'll give you the payment for parking for the next sort of 25 years. That's a big check dude. He said your foundation is called The Work. The Work need how many offices? How many? Right here, we can do that. We can do that.
Starting point is 01:51:20 You start looking at that contract, they got Paul George for eight million dollars she's three years later Paul George billionaire Before we move on we got to end this on a funnier note So don't know if y'all saw last night LeBron got into it with the Nuggets fan on the court The legends he broke down the situation saw last night LeBron got into it with the Nuggets fan on the court the legend Z broke down the situation so Brian got whistled for a foul on Joker wasn't happy about it mobbed around the court in frustration the Nuggets fan sitting courtside, trying to hit him with the crybaby.. Damn!
Starting point is 01:52:08 . Damn! . Scary ass. During the live game, they cut to a shot of LeBron saying scary ass. I was trying to figure out who he was talking to. I didn't know if it was somebody on the Nuggets. He was talking to the word.
Starting point is 01:52:25 That's how he would have did McKiss if he was at the game. McKiss would have done that. McKiss would have done that. Ah! He would have... He don't even fucking know me. That's what he would have said. He don't even fucking know me.
Starting point is 01:52:37 He would have been yelling that. Or he would have saw McKiss. Of course, he's like, you don't even fucking know me. That's how you feel? That's how you feel? That's how you feel about me? That's what you feel about me He's the only one that again front row to God to the boo already did
Starting point is 01:53:01 50 that night that I did it. See? Yes, he had 50. It was against the Wizards. It was courtside. The year Mello was there. Him and Westbrook. He had 50. He said, I've been there before.
Starting point is 01:53:15 He had the crown. I was wearing the crown. I do remember that photo. Yeah. He had 50. I was really impressed. I was like, okay. Okay, motherfucker. No, I kept it on, but I had the Kobe jersey, too.
Starting point is 01:53:26 I was like, yeah, this is the real king, man. I don't know what the fuck you here for. And he said 50 on that and a win. That's tough. That's impressive. I don't hate on the man. I just challenge him. You said impressive?
Starting point is 01:53:34 I challenge him. Challenge you, my nigga. If you want to win, too, download the Underdog Fantasy app. Use promo code GIL, and they will match your first deposit up to $100. So there are three playoff games tonight. And you know Underdog Fantasy pays these bills. Oh, yeah. And we love using the app.
Starting point is 01:53:50 They do my pick-em. Even in somber moments like this. So we're going to go around the couch, get one pick-em from everybody that they like tonight. This will make the GILS Arena pick-em for the night. So you can fade us or rock with us if you like the picks. I just learned what fade or rock with means, too. You know, get my lingo right. So, Kane, let's start with you.
Starting point is 01:54:08 You had Jalen Brunson, 8.5 first quarter points. You going higher or lower on that? I'm going higher. Okay. Why do you think? He going to keep cooking and have the 47 piece? He just, he in goal mode. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:23 Like, he's already been ultra-aggressive. I feel he's going to come out playing a certain way. He's going to get six points from the line. Yep. Going to make a couple more baskets, and there we have it. Yeah. And he's going to play the whole 12th. Yeah, he's going to play the whole 12th.
Starting point is 01:54:40 He's going to play the whole first quarter. Trying to get this thing up. He might play the whole game. Yeah. Trying to get, yeah. No, no, Tibbs. Yeah, Tibbs. Tibbs in the closeout game. He might play the whole try the whole first quarter trying to get this thing. I played a whole game Trying to get yeah, but no no it is. Yeah, it is in the clothes. I gave you might play the whole game But I'm gonna work here. He's playing the first 16 minutes of the game
Starting point is 01:54:54 Like tears I want to see who voted boy. Yeah, cuz there's no way a starter voted They don't like him because that motherfucker he'd be like we do. Ain't nobody coming out of this game. 48-47, 48-47, 48-47. Ain't that what you want though as a player? You want player? As a coach you want that. That'd piss the bench off, I can tell you that for sure. That's pissing off whoever the backup one and two
Starting point is 01:55:18 is because 48 minutes is 48 minutes. Let me get him a breather. Motherfucker be like, God, I don't want to be it. I'm behind Josh Hart over here. Let me get him a breather. Like I don't want to be behind Josh Hart over here Yeah with that information at your disposal you also went with Jalen Brunson He's got 12.5 rebounding assist combined. You gonna hire a lower on that higher Because he go he go work the assist and we've over and a half rebounds in the system I was and he's been averaging up there about 14 combined rebounds
Starting point is 01:55:46 You know special with the since he's been double. Yeah, don't get double. He gonna find his people and he gonna Rashad you also Row with Jalen brothers if you guys haven't noticed it's a trend for all the rest with Jalen You at home if you go if you're gonna rock fade with these, you got to do one pick them. You got to whoever you believe them all. This is a separate conversation that we had with the producers. Or do multiple. Yeah, this was separate.
Starting point is 01:56:12 There was no. Wow. That's crazy. Oh, shit. Y'all were not in cahoots. So, Rashad, Jalen Brunson's higher or lower right now. Eight assists. You going higher or lower?
Starting point is 01:56:23 Higher. Higher. Higher. Yeah, I mean, coming off the 47-10 game, 85-20 in two games combined. He going to get to where he going to get to. He's consistent with getting his shot off. It's hard to really stop that style of play. Really, it's a thing that what we're seeing with Jalen is he has a certain style. He can get to the line.
Starting point is 01:56:42 He can get to the middle of the floor. He gets his floater all the time, right? So let's just say they try to cut that off. They're leaving DiVincenzo open. They're leaving McBride open. They're leaving Josh Hart open. They're leaving OG open. It's all them assists to me. You know what I'm saying? But the Knicks
Starting point is 01:56:57 got to be in hit mode, though. They got to hit shots. I can change mine. If they want another pick. I'm sure the fans will love it. Yeah, I go the community. I do I do baton 9.5 points rebound and assist what you doing higher. Oh, yeah. Yeah points rebounds and assists Quarter screaming why they're filming me. Yeah Yeah, I'm I will go lower but No, you go because he's playing 20 25 30 minutes 30 minutes I'm just he might hit one shot, but it's the rebound hit two threes, but no no he might hit one shot He might get one or two points, but it's like those he's getting about six assists
Starting point is 01:57:39 And he can probably get six points off the assist so now you just need either two assists and two points or... Let me be honest. But I did like my Brunson 12.5 combined. Whoever I pick is the opposite. For five? I don't know. I've been losing for a while now, and I'm figuring out it's the opposite.
Starting point is 01:58:00 You go lower, now they want to set a record. I need to do two picks. I need to do this pick and my backup. Man. The worse you go high, you know, it'd be like 25 points. You go higher, they they want to set a record. I need to do two picks. I need to do this pick and my backup. Man. The worst, you go high. You know, it'd be like 25 points. You go higher, they ain't stuck at 24. They make two free throws.
Starting point is 01:58:10 Or.5. It's like, yo, I used. Get out of here, man. So, Brandon, let's move over to your side. Milwaukee Bucks, Mr. Bucks is six. You're rolling with Andre Jackson Jr. Not to be confused with Andrew Jackson. His higher or lower right now is three points.
Starting point is 01:58:24 You going higher or lower on Andre Jackson? Higher. Okay. That's all I got. Let's just do or die. And I know he got, he about to get some minutes, so, and that's the Bucs' future. This Tyler Hero joint. Tyler Hero? Yeah, them Bucs
Starting point is 01:58:40 ones, you might... I'm going higher on them Bucs ones, because, I mean, nobody playing. I mean, if you get the time on the books Not if it's a blowout Well, they still gonna play Somebody got it or nobody got a score for this plan. Yep Middles in plan. Yep Brooke see that Brooke Lopez
Starting point is 01:58:58 What is good at fifteen point five? Hell? Nah, don't trust him points or combined points. Ooh. Hell nah, don't trust him. Points or combined? Points. No, hell nah. He'll give you 12 and then he'll stop shooting. No, no, y'all didn't know? Like, he was even posting up last game. Was he? Yeah. Like, wait a minute, dawg. He didn't post up? Shit like A.J. Green, he gonna play tonight.
Starting point is 01:59:16 They got him 1.5 threes made. He gonna at least shoot. 1.5 threes made? Oh, yeah. I mean, all he do is shoot threes. Oh, that's it? I don't trust him. And last but not least, they asked me for my pick. I told them I'm merely a host, and then they forced me to do it.
Starting point is 01:59:30 I'm going Joel Embiid. Oh, go ahead. Higher on 32.5 points. Higher? Yeah, he's getting buckets tonight. They might not win, but he's getting some buckets. He got Josh Hart. What is it, 3-1?
Starting point is 01:59:42 Three first quarter rebounds. Three first quarter rebounds for Josh Hart? That's a good one. That's a high. rebound three first quarter rebounds for Josh Hart. Good one That's a good one, yeah, but then watch everybody to start making shots. Hey, can I see them? Yeah, you met cuz uh You the only one who don't be talking about your picks. We never see what's going on with you, man He'd be collecting see your account. Yeah, he be collecting. He be collecting. Let me see your account. What you say, Jace?
Starting point is 02:00:07 Oh, my bad. Josh Hart, what? Josh Hart. Three points? Three first quarter rebounds. Three quarter rebounds. That's a good one. As a humble man, never wanting to stunt on you guys, make you guys feel like you're running
Starting point is 02:00:16 the show. I am close to a multi-millionaire off of my underdog fantasy pitch. I shall be retiring soon. I'll be eating good. He only do like three, you know, he only do five. He do three picks. He do three. That'd be Nick Diamond.
Starting point is 02:00:27 I tried, but then, oh, I need more. He can get it. He can give me two. He can give me two. But I've been eating good since the WNBA finals, so shout out to the Aces, you know, keeping that account surging. Had a couple rough patches, but getting it back together. And as a reminder, to play along with us on Underdog Fantasy, sign up, use code GILL.
Starting point is 02:00:44 They will match your first deposit up to $100. Let us know how you do. If it don't work, blame this man right here. Do not hit me up. You know, whenever he did the cash app, they always hit me like, oh, here's my... It's like, I'm not responsible for it. Just hear the host. They do that all the time. Tell GILL.
Starting point is 02:01:00 Like, he don't answer you. He don't answer me. You know, I had to pull out my funeral suit today, off my wedding suit. He don't answer none of us. You need Gil to talk about this. Like, nigga, he don't even answer my texts until I'm challenging him about some shit. Pop up.
Starting point is 02:01:16 If you call Gil, you're just wasting your time. The secret is you just got to say some outlandish shit in group chat. You got to say some crazy shit. All right, now he's locked in. And then, all right, all right. Got him. I got him. The only thing I in. All right, all right. Got him. The only thing I got going on is a group chat.
Starting point is 02:01:28 Got you. Got him. All right, so let's talk a little bit about the Thunder. On Monday, Mark Dagnall was named NBA Coach of the Year. Later that day, the Thunder made light work of the Pelicans to get their first sweep since 2012 and in the process became the youngest team in NBA history to win a playoff series.
Starting point is 02:01:45 So SGA led the Thunder with 24 points, 10 rebounds, 3 dimes, and 2 blocks. And Jalen Williams added 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 dimes. So coming into this postseason, obviously the Pelicans lost Zion. So we thought that was going to be a pretty easy series. But youngest team in NBA history to get the number one seed. Now the youngest team in NBA history to win a playoff series. What do y'all think about the Thunder sweeping the Pelicans? I mean, no Zion.
Starting point is 02:02:11 I mean, I feel like if Zion played the first game, they would have at least got one. I mean, it probably would have been different, like the way that game one was going. But no Zion, you got no chance. That's 20-some points, right? At 40, he put on the Lakers. Yeah. That carry over, he don't get hurt. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:30 Put some pressure on the back line. Yeah. I mean, OKC, I mean, they caught the right people for the first round. Like, you know. That's the team I picked, so. Or the team that I had to deal with. Which one? The team that you had to deal with?
Starting point is 02:02:43 The live show. Yes, the Thunders. I had the Bulls and the OKC. Oh, you got OKC? Yeah. OKC, good one. You straight. No, no, we good.
Starting point is 02:02:51 We cruising. Shit, we out. Lake, I'm out. You about to be out. You about to be out. Yeah, you about to be out. Who about to be out? Bucks.
Starting point is 02:03:00 Bucks. Mm. Yeah. But not because of Doc Rivers. Not because of Doc. Then Ingram. What's so funny is Ingram didn't show up at all. Really? He didn't show up the whole series. Why'd he pick the next shit? Lou Dort was guarding them shit.
Starting point is 02:03:15 Yeah, Lou Dort and Williams too, they both. I mean, come on dawg, but It's a series, bro. Whatever he did to you game one, you watch. You ain't got shit else to do. Watch what he doing. He's strong as hell. And I can't get 10 pounds of muscle overnight. No, you can't.
Starting point is 02:03:39 Nah, I can't. But you can see, but I'm saying he has tendencies. Maybe he try to use his, maybe he might want to bump him one and let him come, like, pull a chair. I'm going to pull a chair on him. use his maybe my mother bumble one and let him come like pull a chair I'm a pull a chair on but that's what you said him just playing his ass on this law Just one of the people got you know, thanks, right? He just like that muffled garden shit out you no matter what you do and he's strong and aggressive right you mother you Okay
Starting point is 02:04:02 Maybe that shit don't work now. Yeah, you know, Bob Bob Bob. Oh, yeah She's so she did but we like DLO these shots man, huh? He made some tough shots when we do over the garden. Let's do it boy. No shit I mean it was it was a tough to cuz that's all he made last night two shots Are y'all surprised it prize it all to see this the Thunder sweep. I mean, just the young squad. No. No. No Zion. It was curtains. But I'm surprised that Ingram.
Starting point is 02:04:30 It was A.C. for a reason. That Ingram, technically the second best player on the court, didn't even. Yeah. Was basically like the sixth. Yeah, the Herb Jones boy was playing. He was playing solid. Everybody played well, but Brandon Ingram just didn't have a good series.
Starting point is 02:04:44 But the guy didn't either. He just didn't have a good series. But the guy didn't need it. He just didn't have a good series. He didn't have a good series. And we don't really deal in hypotheticals. There was talk at the plan that the Lakers should have dropped that game that the Pelicans tried to slide to the A seed. Do we feel like the Lakers would have fared better against the Thunder? Hell no!
Starting point is 02:04:58 That's the OKC? No, no. I'm just talking. You know, but that was a thing that you couldn't even Just you don't play with it. Don't play game Yeah, you can't play with the game You can't lose this game and then and then and then think that you got the last one one and some happen But then again, and you lose that one in your ass is out
Starting point is 02:05:18 You know you're coming against the Nuggets as likely that you might lose in the minimum games allowed or a generous We're good in did not get me Yeah back because if you didn't get in if you purposely lost that and didn't get in all man about cool you to get crucified I'm playing with the game. Don't play with the game the difference between this year last year though like Lakers get past Nuggets early They get clear they can take it all the way this year even if they got past Denver. They still got Minnesota still got Minnesota. They still got, okay, they're still a tough tag.
Starting point is 02:05:49 There would have been a lot of Clippers or the Mavs. You know, it's still tough. For LeBron and how AD play, there was no other team that just manipulated a game in the last five minutes. Facts. What's so funny is, like, if we stopped the game at the third quarter or halftime, woo, Lakers won.
Starting point is 02:06:09 If we stopped it in the first 43 minutes, woo, Lakers won. It's them five minutes where them two. You know what? Somebody asked me who's the most underrated player, and I was like, there's no such thing. Murray. He said, he said, why do I care about being an all-star now when I'm an all-star in the playoffs because that's when you need me.
Starting point is 02:06:34 God damn it, that line just was a bar. And that's why he didn't sit out. That's why he didn't sit out. He's top three point guard in the NBA right now. Like 32? Brent, Jamal Murray is a top three-point guard in the National Basketball Association. Yeah, he's like that Tony Parker. Them last five minutes of the game, man, I don't know how many players can be better than him.
Starting point is 02:06:54 I mean, you're going to have Shea, you're going to have Luka, right? You throw Brunson in. Brunson, him, like he's top five. Top five in that fourth quarter. So who do you have ahead of him? Who you got him in there with? Who in there with him? Him, Steph, and Shea. That was top five. Top five and went into it. In that fourth quarter? So who do you have ahead of him right now? Who you got him in there with? Who in there with him? Him, Steph, and Shea.
Starting point is 02:07:10 Steph didn't even make the fucking playoffs. Still top, still. I mean, come on. Oh, you're talking about just period? Yeah, just right now. I'm just saying like right now, like, I mean. So you can't leave him out the conversation with you? No, you can't.
Starting point is 02:07:21 Like, I don't care. Like, I know who he play with, but it's just like that Tony Parker like You know when it's time to get going You know what time it is So we've been counting them out Based on the fact that he ain't as flashy as the record he played because he played with a big boy because we don't see Him in a regular because in the regular season. He just your numbers is your his numbers look so yeah but in the playoffs we can see why Jokic is so good because Jokic chased the backseat in the last five minutes.
Starting point is 02:07:50 You asked the question, what would I put into the NBA? Remember that? Award. Award. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All playoff team. Yeah, they should have all tournament team. All playoffs.
Starting point is 02:08:04 Just one? Just like five players? Yeah, like a first team or. All playoffs. Just one? Just like five players? Yeah, like a first team or a first team, second team, all playoffs. And should that be able to impact the bag down the road? Yes. Yes. Yes. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 02:08:17 Well, I mean, it is going to impact it because if you fucking, if you, let's just say you killed in the first round in the playoffs and you averaged 35, trust me, playoff basketball pays you anyway. But if you don't make an all-NBA team and you make an all-NBA postseason team. Nah. No. Nah, man. I'm trying to get y'all more money. What would be the value of that then? Because like you just said, if you first round, you averaged 35 and then you get on the all playoff team, but you got sweat
Starting point is 02:08:47 It depends on how many but you made the first team No, you ain't like second time. You gotta get out the first time. There's no I should be one team. Okay? Yeah one team It should be one team even if it's my plan Don't give a fuck if you have a 60 out there that you all can sit it don't count Zip from this miss nigga. What if it goes seven? You get, I said, you get swiped. I mean, it's getting swept in average of 60 is like. I mean, but what if you the best guard, like you the best guard. Four games, nigga. Like if you get, if you average 60 and get swept first round. No, what I'm saying is like, you know, because the guards that's going to move on, maybe
Starting point is 02:09:22 they not the star guard to be first team guard. Right? You know what I mean? Didn't it happen to Russ? Didn't Russ average like 150 points? I beat you. Within three, four games? Yeah, like four games with OKC.
Starting point is 02:09:33 He averaged like 150, 50 rebounds. It was sick. So the squares at ESPN Analytics are currently predicting a Thunder Celtics finals matchup. The Thunder currently have the fourth. Say that again? The squares at ESPN Analytics, I had to preface it with the squares, currently predicting a Thunder-Celtics finals matchup. The Thunder currently have the fourth. Say that again? The Squares at ESPN Analytics, I had to preface it with the Squares, are currently predicting a Thunder-Celtics finals matchup.
Starting point is 02:09:55 The Thunder currently also have the fourth best Vegas odds to win a chip behind the Celtics, Nuggets, and Timberwolves. Are you buying the Thunder as final contenders? Who'd you say come up with again? Hmm? Who'd you say? So ESPN Analytics made that prediction, but let me continue.
Starting point is 02:10:08 But also, where the money's at, Las Vegas, Nevada. Mm-hmm. The Thunder have the fourth best odds behind the Celtics, Nuggets,
Starting point is 02:10:17 and Timberwolves. Hmm. Yes, Kane. Yes, Kane. Yes, Kane. Is it? Two Western Conference teams ahead of them. Oh, okay. How many go to the finals? Only two.
Starting point is 02:10:35 Is it Thunder? No. Is it Thunder versus Boston? Thunder, Boston, Timberwolves. They're in the fourth spot according to the finals. But as you know, they're very fickle. Nobody's in the finals? So the Celtics But as you know, they're very fickle. Who did they say in the finals? So the Celtics have the best odds of reaching the finals right now,
Starting point is 02:10:49 followed by the Nuggets and Timberwolves, and then the Thunder in the fourth. Oh. In the fourth, Ben C. All I heard was ESPN. I stopped listening to it every day. I thought you said OKC and... Can the Thunder go to the finals?
Starting point is 02:11:00 No. Yeah, see, I thought it said, can the Thunder go to the finals? No. Yeah, yeah. Anyone can go to the finals. in the Thunder go to the know Yeah, yeah Anyone go to the they might be in will the Thunder go to the finals? They not beating it in with Tim. Oh, you come on as an old plan authors They can they go like they get tickets and shit. Yeah, they go
Starting point is 02:11:15 Go get some tickets, you know, I get a little group on Get your little sweet up in there See sweet little sweet up in there sweet never was taking it man yeah yeah how many taking what you know when this next series and six and then they go take it to the top yeah so they win the whole thing I think they went out there not chance you did the Minnesota Timberwolves winning championship this year I do just and that's good enough awesome my team yeah I'm boss my team but ants my guy Hey, yo, so if you go if you Boston right you go to the finals this year again, right? Wait, no
Starting point is 02:11:54 Like what two years this is it and you don't win it. What you doing? Nothing off with the way it's a tough question. Nothing. Nothing. Don't keep picking losers The reason I say nothing because That's real shit is like damn like you know so funny like the fact that I'm looking at teams that got Like they're two best players are sitting at 35 32 39 29 and I got to dudes that's 26 and 27. Nah, I'm not doing nothing. I'ma just keep building until I get it right.
Starting point is 02:12:29 All I need to get it right one time with Boston. All right, I just need to get it right one time. With these two, I know we're gonna be at least second or first regular season. As an organization, I just gotta figure out what pieces that just work well with them. But I'm not gonna to get rid of them. They're too young.
Starting point is 02:12:46 How long have they been together so far? Huh? Six years. Yeah. I mean, the way fucking medicine works, I got these motherfuckers another 10, 15 more years. Oh, for real? You can ask me, motherfucker, 20, 35. So what you going to do with these two?
Starting point is 02:13:03 Give me one more chance at it. I done lost all my money. I got one more dollar. Is it similar to Tuan Walker and Paul Pierce? Nah. Nah, that was... They didn't even make it.
Starting point is 02:13:20 I'm not even talking about the make it. I'm talking about the dynamic between the two players where you got two good players that played along each other and just couldn't get right. And they had to get rid of one of them. I don't think them two knew who was really number one yet. Paul was definitely in number one.
Starting point is 02:13:35 No, we knew that, but I don't think Twan accepted that. I don't know. Do you think Jalen accepted it? No. I don't think so, buddy. Nigga, I just got $300 million. You think I accepted it? Or I just got $300 million.
Starting point is 02:13:52 Just tell you I accepted it. That too. That too, either way. Absolutely. And that's my argument with Gil. It's like, yo, how long do you keep them together? Because Tatum about to get his back, and that's going to be more than his. It's going to be more than his.
Starting point is 02:14:07 They're young, man. you know that ego when you young You know I don't even know if they there Together mentally to even like realize like you know what they can do like I think I think Jalen because he's so just that it's he's the educated. He's educated man. Just very highly educated man Oh, sure sure I don't think he really looks at like money and the competition like that I mean as educated people do think they're better than everybody else so he can he could probably have that demeanor Like I've been around educated people that think they know it all it's like You know I get it but you know you in the locker room with You know, it's like I got my money, I'm this,
Starting point is 02:14:45 I'm not pocket-watching somebody else. It's not about the pocket-wise. It's just more just, I'm more educated. I think I'm better than you. Am I better than you as a basketball player? Yeah, yes, because in my mind, you know, I do it like this. I'm particular like this.
Starting point is 02:14:58 I talk like... Is that how educated people talk, Brandon? Yeah, they just, you know... Prettier, the weird, like... All that proper shit. The pronunciation. Yeah, it's just pretty erdy we're like All that proper shit the pronunciation. Yeah, it's just like I get it He don't sound like like no interview. He does he sounds like he he wants to be number number one or nothing He is like he's I Got my bag. He's gonna get his daily. No, we were talking on Jason does Jason feel this way? They don't care cuz they said know he that got Jason a Trevor
Starting point is 02:15:26 He's the one they would they gonna push more they gonna push Jason more. Okay, what you just want them to break up. I Don't see it. No, no, but I don't see it happen. I don't ever see them winning it Like I just don't think it's it's the personalities. It's two different personalities. Mm-hmm It's hard like my one is this full but they do know it's like the Drake been successful. It's like Drake and Kendrick. You got dark skin. It's like Drake and Future. They're making some good music right now. We just got to get the white beat.
Starting point is 02:15:54 We just got to get back some booming. It's like Drake and Wayne on Young Bunny. It's like Drake and Wayne and Jalen got to be Wayne. You got to take the backseat right now. I got to go get my OVO. You take Young Honey, man. But our music, nah. Yeah, that's how it is.
Starting point is 02:16:10 You wanted to be like, have y'all noticed, you know who do not hit well? This might just be me, but Hov and Drake. Do they have a song where that shit just... Hell, yeah, every one. Every song that they've done, yes. A couple of them. It's just like they cadence them. Oh, it's a couple of them Hold the livers on the tracks. He's teaching Drake how to do this is that on the track man?
Starting point is 02:16:33 Hey, Jaylen Brown is the guy that needs to learn from Tatum like this is how we do it But he's like man I could do it on my own. Oh, you know like future and drink. They just should they just be It just like that's good, they just be, it just like, ah, that's good. Because they do two separate things. Future's not the lyricist, he's the hook. He's the vibe. But how can you, how old you say they was, 126, 127, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:16:59 Who's older? Jalen Brown. Like you get rid of him? There you have it. Huh? There you have it. But I'm not saying well you get rid He wants to get rid of him, but I'm just saying that yeah, like ain't nobody looking up to one another that he older than him He just they bought the he the best player either
Starting point is 02:17:14 Jalen Brown numbers and would you that but that's what said is like he doesn't would you be getting rid of them anytime soon? No, I don't think Jalen Brown care. Yes. Yeah, let's be honest about what none of this shit that we're sitting there talking about Like I honestly he just show up He's like man I'll come in shit going on Can pay me more than anybody else so I'm gonna sit my ass right here in the corner in the corner like you do when it's time for clutch In the corner. Yeah, I know you don't care at 26 and 26 Are you even thinking about moving them out at any time soon? No, right? Yeah, this did this NBA? Yes I'm not me. I'm gonna put a piece or two around them and make it work
Starting point is 02:18:03 Right and and the right coach in the situation. So that's what I'm gonna me I'm gonna put a piece or two around them and make it work right and and the right coach in the situation Yeah, so that's what I'm gonna be doing. But So it's new NBA baby. Yeah Yeah, this is project that there there's a microwave number what you just they plan for they just saw I'll be paying for the right Organization. Yeah, but remember what you said about Boston, right? Paul was talking about talking his shit on the podcast about how the Lakers need to catch up when they ain't won since, right? So as Boston, the pedigree, the prestige, y'all ain't winning. How long do we wait? 26, 27. Does that matter if we're going to still lose for
Starting point is 02:18:41 the next five years with the same core? For our organization, for our prestige, for our fans, we keeping these guys around just because they was young? Or do we move them around because we can and we can bring some real talent in here and really win? What can we do? That's real talent. They are real talent.
Starting point is 02:19:00 I know, I know, I know. So for me, even saying that is a thing. But they have to win one. They got to win something. They have to win one. Because they keep getting there. Because they, the Boston Celtics organization is built on championships.
Starting point is 02:19:09 Granted, a lot of them are older, but they still hang in the rafters. The championship band is still hanging in the rafters. So that's what they historically have been built on, the championships.
Starting point is 02:19:18 They can break that shit up after this year. If they don't win, if they don't win within the next couple years. What are you getting, like three more years? It is nasty over there two years three about 30
Starting point is 02:19:30 With it but two for sure that third it depends on what piece the third year And they got into is 20 27. They got about to 20 27 But is that I'm looking to move one is that getting there like for the next three years actually getting there like They gotta have a chance. They gotta make a deep run every year It has to be but that's and that's what makes so it has to be that's what makes that's what makes Tatum We hold up the trophy. He don't get his see he don't get his credit for being a young dude That's actually had playoff success and already went there. He gets penalized for being young making it to the promised land by all you ain't one Because right here so we play for right right right here. What's on this?
Starting point is 02:20:10 Celtics Like this so that's like when Kobe was when Kobe was airborne early and we didn't care We don't give a fuck. I think you gonna bring one here or not get his ass out of here Zach yours you in sack y'all gonna bring one here or not and they start bringing them shits in. They're like, all right. All right then. Thank you. Is this certain? They need one.
Starting point is 02:20:29 Yeah. They can't play the Durex however many years it is and not get one together. It's over. I know you fight for it.
Starting point is 02:20:37 I know you like it. I'm just saying, what am I going to go get to rebuild when, I mean, I still got, like, I'm looking at the ages of everybody else, 35, 36, and I'm like, they're playing longer.
Starting point is 02:20:50 So 29, 30 ain't the same anymore as it used to be. They, you know, back then, motherfuckers retiring at 30, 31, that ain't the same. Like, they just hitting, they stride like, oh, yeah, just got my rookie leg. Yeah, because they've been playing since 19. Yeah. And ain't nobody younger than them that you can say that's better than them. Nobody younger than them right now that's better. That's around their age?
Starting point is 02:21:11 That you can bring in and be like, let's go replace them. Nah, nobody. I'm going to replace them for what, who? Booker? At that age? You know, I'm going to get Tatum, Booker, and Luka right now. They both can go. Yeah, but then if I get them too, then I'm starting the same thing I started with them three years ago. They're going to get a whole bunch of numbers, win some games.
Starting point is 02:21:31 We're going to get the championship, but not be experienced enough to beat a Denver. They just might not be experienced enough right now to beat Denver. How? It's like Shagoone up there. But how, though? How many times have you been there? A young guy like that. Huh?
Starting point is 02:21:44 But how are you not experienced? You've been there a shagoon up there. But how though? How many times you been there? Like a young guy like that. Huh? But how you not experienced? You been there. 22, 23, 24. I mean. So, I mean, what's the, I mean, that's.
Starting point is 02:21:52 I mean, you playing against Yogi. We giving them excuses, bro. They 28, 30. They right there. It's. Brain Fox. Experience is still. Experience is still.
Starting point is 02:22:00 The old band Strip is still beating you right now. All right. Let's move on to Mostly Fans. Oh yeah, but it's Tyler and Rasheed. We gotta go. We gotta go, y'all. Let's move on to Mostly Fans. Oh yeah, it's Tyler and Rasheed. We got to go, y'all. All right, all right. Where's the smoke?
Starting point is 02:22:12 Smoke Rasheed is down. To a further notice, Gil. You know we got like a no, right? I did not know that. See, it is broken too. I'm only allowed in the basement. Starting point is 02:23:33 you know. He's going to play him in real life. This might have a better chance. This might have a better chance. He got to show up
Starting point is 02:23:43 to the game. Show up to the game. I'll mess it up. I got you. I got you. Doc, we got Lawrence. We're going to go ahead and finish this movie part two. They should have got Terrence Howell to play that shit. Say, man, y'all ain't playing hard enough, man. Come on, man. He got that raspy voice, too.
Starting point is 02:24:07 When does it come out? When is that? It's already out? It's coming out soon. So they just showing snippets of it? Yeah, you know. I really want to see how deep they go in. Like, how deep they go into that clipper shit.
Starting point is 02:24:19 I mean, it looks like they're going. It's based on a true story for me to watch. You got to see actual events. Yes.
